Creative and fun!. This app is by far the best font app! It allows you to edit your fonts (opacity, font type, moving font around, layering, etc.) and it also has fun filters. I love that they feature folks' photos too. Thank you, fonta!

Love it!. I really enjoy the apps that are simple and intuitive and this is one of them. It gives you an excelent control of what you are doing. It also has a very beautiful design. Love it. :)

Fun. I agree with what has been said already. Despite weaknesses, this is a really fun app to play with. One suggestion would be to be able to save a motif. I had a friend create a badge for her daughter's selfie. It would be nice if you could save that somewhere for quick access on future pictures rather than recreate it every time.

Great App -- crashes OFTEN!. Big fan of this app from a graphic designers perspective. It's around the uploading stage when the application crashes and most saved changes to my photos are incorrectly saved or completely lost. Not serious errors if it happens once, but multiple times is a problem. Really would love to keep my progress saved. Especially when preforming minor edits resulting in a crash, this indicates serious issues to me. Still, great app, would like less/no crashes.

Wow. Amazing updates almost every month with new fonts or other things to create with. No in app purchases which is unheard of these days. Pretty self explanatory - NICE!! Not overwhelming with too many bells and whistles but more than enough to make an incredible unique piece of art. I love it.

Love the feature set… hate that it crashes. This is a very promising app, but it suffers from severe instability. I think it has crashed every single time I've used it before I'm able to save… frustrating to say the least. It might also have to do with the fact the interface is so convoluted that I find myself bouncing back-and-forth between different parts of the program not really knowing where I'm going. Sad… because it really does have promise! Adding a star for this and the fact that—as another reviewer has said, it _is_ free!

So much opportunity. The creative opportunities this app lends itself to are boundless! I love it so much. Takes a bit of time getting accustomed to navigating - especially with the text if you use multiple layers, but overall it's fabulous. Make stuff! Create! What's more important?!

Download. You won't regret it.. I've never reviewed any app before in all the years I've had apple products... Until now. I had to tell everyone how awesome it is. It is amazing. It takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's addicting... I find myself taking pictures now with this app in mind. It could use some minor tweaks, but I'm sure, just like all apps, they'll tweak it as they go... Download it now. Do it.

On its way!. As soon as this has full res save option, it will be one of my top photo editing apps. Love the options to use text as a mask, add a tint to the text or picture, and especially the curved text option. The additional elements - buttons, lines & badges easily make this one of the more useful apps for designing with your photos. Keep up the good work!

Keeps Kicking Me Out. I really liked what this app has the potential to do. I have a iPhone 5s and use various photo apps on a regular basis. Unfortunately this app kept kicking me out after trying to edit various selected pics from my library. I can't get past this one step to enjoy it. It doesn't appear that this app was tested on iPhones prior to its release...very disappointing 😒.

Changes the way I do social media. For real. I am a BAD designer. And I hate designing. This makes it easy enough for me to impress colleagues and clients with my design skills. I'm hoping it will be versatile enough to carry me for a few months!

No landscape on iPad? Instant fail. Deleted app.

Fantastic app, almost perfect.. Oh man! This app is fantastic. The amount of freedom that it gives you is just great. If it only supported other ratios than square. With full resolution and true ratios this app would be perfect.

It's good but. It needs an iPad version

Not intuitive. Bugs. First off, there's a bug when you flip the image horizontally and put text. The text will show on the background the original image. The whole interaction is just not intuitive and while you can play around to get the gist of it I got bored. Cannot like that final export format is square and low resolution. Lots to improve. Got it for free, now you have my feedback as a payback.

Awesome!. This app is really cool. I use this app to: -tease my friends -create wallpapers -make my photos look cooler. Like any other app, there are bugs, but none that make the app completely unusable. If you are a internet user, you see all these cool photos with writing on the picture like "When he touches your ear..." (which I never understood). With this app, you can make pictures that say creepy stuff like that!

Almost perfect editing app. I love the editing tools of this app, however I wish it would support different sizes other than the square (some of us don't use Instagram). Also fonts disappear when scrolling through them in iOS 8.

Nice!. This app has so many options and things you can do that I just fell in love. Keep adding new things and make the tools a bit more user friendly and you have yourselves creative freedom up the wazoo and loads of fun.

Gooood!. It makes pics look awesome though I am not good at taking pics. There are lots of effects and fonts and even I can edit photos sophisticatedly.

Great App!. Of all font apps I use this and Phonto. I giving it a four, by all means it's a wonderful font app, but it doesn't save the photos in full resolution of the photo. Till that's fixed or able to save at 1280x1280 is good enough for me! Thanks for the app, I find it way better than Studio if I do say so myself, it's just great! That's all.

Great but needs improvement!!. I absolutely love love love this app!!! There is a problem with the text edit. I do not like the fact that it changes size when you try to edit the word and that it stays white. The words completely disappear if the picture is also white which makes it impossible to edit the words.. But i still absolutely love the app !!

Best. I use this to make pics for Instagram and for my youth group, truly the only app I use for editing photos to make them look stunning

What the ..... Glad this was a free download, this app is frustrating to say the least. It has a few good filters but otherwise I wouldn’t waste my time.

Promising, but poorly executed. I've used quite a few apps similar to this, so I'm somewhat familiar with the editing process. This app, however, is so confusing and convoluted. It's almost impossible to figure out how to use it, and the tutorial videos aren't very helpful at all. Even just playing around with it, I end up doing something and then having no idea how I got into that menu to be able to recreate the action on another project. I got bored with trying to figure out how to use it, and I'll just be deleting it. There are a lot more user friendly apps that can do the same thing out there, and they are much more intuitive and way easier to navigate. This app has a lot of potential, but it's going to need a complete overhaul before it is successful as a design app.

Crashing. Every single time I change the blur strength, the app crashes. I absolutely love this app. It brings photos to life. But if you can't fix the crash, my ratings will not go up. Please fix this wonderful app.

Great app.. Awesome effects, but the user interface is hard to understand. It takes multiple tries to find the features I need. And it's sadly limited to square crop.

Square? Instagram?. Sooo like, I see lots of comments arguing about how having the option of it being a square size but not it’s actual size is a problem. It’s been years. And nobody on your team wants to fix this? Can you please add a feature where we can add text to a full frame size picture? We get it that it’s at the end, but that is not what we want.

Streamline typography. This is pretty insane app. Robust number of typefaces, lines and shapes to choose from; a designers dream. If your a graphic designer and your looking to work the type and layout muscle look no further. This is definitely the future in terms of creation.

I want to love it, but. As Bonzo202 below says, it keeps kicking me out!? I too have an iPhone 5S & don't have this problem with other apps. I use photo apps daily & mix and match a few too. With Fonta, I get past the first few steps and .... I get the boot! :-( Also needs more fonts. I'd give 5 stars if I could use it :-)

Great for traveling posts. I love this app! I use it for my travel photos and I've gotten good feedback on the photo with 100+ likes on Instagram! I'm ready to post the photos from Florida, Arizona, and New York with this post!

Promising, but tedious.... This app is everything you'd want from a true photo editor, when it comes to features, but it's executed poorly. I'm a graphic designer and sometimes I just wanna do some work with layers or erase part of a photo I took and add elements on top. This app is too busy with a horribly counter intuitive menu. If you type text it then has text on top of text and it's difficult to edit each element without screwing up something you already did. They need to update this and redo their whole menu so it's simple: give it like 5 layers, background, text, borders, masks etc and make it so you can at anytime simply edit the layer you make active.

This is a 2nd time trying this app!. Tried a year or so ago and deleted! Tried again and read reviews! Why has the beautiful app not have any updates to make it more user friendly? If you care about your app...read reviews and make updates! You did great the 1st year or so then stopped! UPDATE PLEASE!

Needs Higher Export Size. Love the app, but it needs a higher export size. My original photo was 1535X1535 and after using Fonta it went down to 640X640, which shrunk it down over half the original size. You can see the pixelation sometimes. I'll give the app 5 stars after they increase the output size. 📱📷⭐️👍🏻👎🏻

Fonta is worth a 5 star under one condition. ...please, please, please don't crop the picture Instagram-size while I edit it and after I finally finish, in the last step, you give the option to put it full size😡!!!!! Let me select the size I do not want it 1:1, i want a normal picture in the beginning off editing!! Great app!!!!! I love it!!

Mostly Spot On. I love this app and I’ve been able to create some beautiful and artful photos from my phone (I wish they made a desktop version for my Mac)! There’s one glitch (or maybe it’s not a glitch) that I keep running into: when I try to use the “erasing” feature (that allows you to make it look like the words are BEHIND an object in the pic), it doesn’t always work…in fact, it’s 50/50 whether I get it to function properly. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong that “locks” this feature or if it is, in fact, a glitch. I also searched the web and other than emailing the creators (which I’m doing as we speak), I don’t see any online forums or FAQs. But other than that, it’s a well-designed app and I enjoy it.

Awesome Font App. Love the App and Masking....!!! BUT, i Hate CROPing Photos....!!! Can U PLEASE Add option to NOT Crop and i Got Another Star...Also it Would Be Cool to have a 3D Rotate Mode for the Text...if this Happens U Will Officially Be the ONLY Font App i Use... And i Have them ALL... I Cant Believe No One thought of an App Like this Until NOW... THANK U...!!!

Not too intuitive, bugs. This app's main claim to fame is the ability to put part of the text "behind" part of the photo. As in many apps with a virtual keyboard, the keyboard pops up when you start typing and blocks your view of what you're trying to edit. Also, not so intuitive. This is not one of those apps you can just pick up and automatically know how to use. Worse, when you try to use a photo from your photo library, all it shows is blank thumbnails.

Good thing it was free!. This app is a piece of crap! I crashed it within 4 minutes of installing and can make it crash upon command: open the app, slide the fill colour bar all the way to the right (go for the colour black) and watch it go bye-bye!! Was very difficult to use at first, as the icons always seems to blend into the picture I'm working on. The pinch-zoom for font size is ok, but not intuitive; when an app is so confusing that you have to put Vimeo videos up to explain it rather than a simple, on-device manual...well, that's a red flag there, too...looked promising, but was a big let down...

Good but... Could be better. Fonta does what it says it does and does it well. The main problem is that the output is lo-res and square only. Fine for Instagram on your phone, but pretty terrible on anything with a bigger screen.

3D goes blurry. the fonts become blurry using 3D & vary the size pls. on the other hand, i ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this app!

Frustrating. Very confusing app. Does not easily do what it states. Instead you end up with a black image or black background. Update with clearer instructions please.

Great but needs full frame photo edit. Need to be able to edit a full sized iPhone photo, hate having to crop it to a square.

Need ios8 extension. I first thought its better than Quick, it turns out that Fonta is lacking of ios8 extension that can make user edit photo right from the camera roll, wish Fonta can get better and do a quick catch up.

Teacher photos. As a teacher, love the way this allows me to flick photos to parents with a quick description of something we did that day!

Change sizes. Ok has potential. Need to change some things like thickness of eraser. And if you want to erase text from an overlay/sticker without erasing the text it's self. Make changes and I'll change rating.

It's a great app but!!!!!. So it's a great app and you can create heaps of amazing photos on it but it has a few bad bug that need to be fix and then it will be a 5 star app!!!

Looks cool, but hard to use and confusing. On initial play it looks cool, but it is really hard to learn and understand. The controls aren't really intuitive. I still can't work out why my exported image only renders masked text and not the background.. Bah, frustrating.

Awesome app, but..... This app is incredible, I love everything it does, but unfortunately there are some bugs which make it unusable. You can't save photos with the actual photo in the background, you only get the small bits of photo which are seen through the words you created. What's worse, is that it does that anywhere you want it to post or save, you can't save it like it is on the app, it will always end up with a black background. If you can please fix that, it would be an awesome 5 star app!

This is a great app but as the guy below me said it asks for updates SOOO often but I get that sometimes you need to add new things to keep people interested I think it's the best photo editing app on the world despite that but I do wish I could change the shape of the font, like on other apps where you can make it go in circles, wavey lines and other ways. I don't know how else to word it sorry! :)

Great idea made frustrating by an undo function.... There is a revert to original function but no undo for previous step. This ability would make this app terrific

Good.. Edit. New update is fantastic. But it still needs an undo button or if it has one it needs to be more identifiable. Also I think when you first download it there should be an optional tutorial or guideline section. Or some where to direct your users to. Especially somewhere in the app to direct them to an email to leave bugs and feedback. It's tricky to know what the layers type symbol is next to the half pencil have pencil eraser section etc. And the text section with T, A1, A2 etc. Is sorta weird for me. Like for me I don't know what the eye symbol is for. Because you could go to the T menu. Confused. Also when I experiment I can't undo. It's like punishing me for experimenting. Etc. Also the icons become invisible when using frames. Etc. I can't think of a solution. But yah. Love your app anyway. Just needs a little more. So good and pretty. ------ Original review: It's good. I like it. I find the interface confusing and hard to navigate. I can't find an undo button. Also there is a bug where you click next and then click 'back' and there menu gets spliced. Basically overlapping images and you just need to restart. I can't find an actual website to notify the developers. It seems their main website is instagram and their instagram links to iTunes. I can't work out how to contact them directly. Providing an email for enquiries would be good on your instagram bio. Thanks.

Love this, but.... I absolutely love this app. Love love it. BUT it seems to have a bug- when I add a new pic And change the size of it- then add text to overlay, the image behind the text is the original (therefore a different size and doesn't match up as an overlay) which is annoying. Can't seem to fix this, have tried importing the pic again, or deleting the text and starting again, but nothing works... So weird! Please help, as I love this app.

Fantastic app!. Nifty app that lets me add frames and text with various transparent effects to my photos. I find myself using it all the time to add a special something to Instagram photos (and other social media photos). Love it!

Fun to use. Definitely fun to use. You can edit the background, mask items, add texts -- choose fonts, add really clean frames, and other artworks however the export photo resolution is really low. And for that, I'm giving this app 3 stars only. If you plan to just blur the image, it's fine. But if you want to see clear details on the photo, don't download this app.

Forces you to crop your picture !!. Why on earth would it force you to crop your picture to a square why can't it work with the full picture instead? Stopped using it because all my pictures are being cropped to a square!!

Does not work period. I downloaded this app when it was free. Cannot find it on the App Store when I want to download a new copy. This copy must be corrupted or something. The icon is there on my desktop but when it opens I can't choose a photo from my own pictures. Also, it doesn't appear as one of my "purchased" apps. It looks like it would be fun though.

Difficult to use. I've used Various font apps for years and I have yet to 100% complete a picture in this app. Get Adobe Post or Typorama FREE. you'll never pay for lettering again

Fantastic. They keep updating and supporting it. Full featured. Have a few small quibbles But otherwise this app is A+++++

App was great before update. Anytime you try to save your work it blurs the image. It shows you the final draft and when you press save it's different and blurry. This was a great app before the update.

Almost perfect.. This is a great little app. In usually a few minutes you can turn out inspirational high quality pics and post right to Instagram or save them to your camera roll. I just wish they would have been smart enough to include a Save and Edit feature to rework original masterpieces or use them as templates. What about layering photos or adding pic stitch abilities. Just a few more tweaks and it will be perfect.

Best Fonts-Low Res!. I have to admit, the fonts are exquisite! However, the export to low resolution photo is what undermines this app. Please update the app with higher resolution, if you can.

Fun app, but.... ... It only saves at very low resolution. The app badly needs an option to save at full resolution. I also agree that the limitation to a square format is annoying. And, finally, a simple undo/redo would be nice.

Frustrating to use. Not intuitive at all. Just goes to show how many lonely geeks there are out there with nothing to do but spend hours on end messing with dumb apps like this.

Lovely app. Would just love if photos could be different sizes (besides squares). It's a deal breaker for me. Lovely fonts and features otherwise but I uninstalled because it had no purpose for me without other sizes.

horrible. Horrible controls & user interface.. frustrating & annoying only to produce a worthless export which included NONE of the text or other edits i spent 20 mins applying -delete.

Really?. Portrait view only. Saves directions-info appearing on screen ("double-tap to edit") to final pic.(!!!) Kills EXIF. Anything but intuitive. Last time I listen to AppAdvice. Thankfully, only a buck blown on this Mickey Mouse offering. You've been warned.

Great app but.... Missing two things... The ability to crop the picture and to choose the resolution. Until then I'll give it two more stars.

Still Broken. The eraser tool only works sometimes in 7.1. I thought this was fixed, but it's not. Previously I could force quit the app and restart to fix, but that doesn't work now.

Cool effects but keeps crashing!. Crashes every time I use it at random points in the editing process with very simple processes...and doesn't save the edits. Very annoying. Combined with the lack of hi-res exporting, this is a pass for now.

Difficult to Use. Very non-intuitive UI. Sorry, but if I can't figure it out in a minute or two, it's back to Over for me.

Great app but!. This is a awesome app lets you get creative with your pics. But It downgraded my pics to lo-res which needs to be addressed.

Love it BUT..... Please have the option of not having to crop the pics on your next update. Otherwise, it's practically perfect
