Warning to parents: Moment is not strictly about parental control. Using Moment Family as a parent gives you certain powers, but your children have power too.
• If your daughter notices you on your phone while you’re supposed to be watching a family movie together, she can start family dinner time for the entire family until the movie is over. That means no one can pick up their phone, and you as the parent can’t turn that family dinner time off.
• Your entire family can see everyone else’s screen time for the day from the family scoreboard.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Moment has been designed to use GPS sparingly.

Thank you for using Moment!
This is a neat app. It's confusing though, because it reports my amount of "pickups", times I pick up my phone, very inaccurately. I woke up this morning and was doing stuff on my phone, and while I was using it, it told me I have picked up my phone 10 times today. The second time I picked it up and was using it for about 30 min, it told me I have picked up my phone 66 times today. I had picked up my phone twice. And used it for about 30 min each time. It also told me I slept 12 hours, when I had slept about 5. So, I'm not sure how it tracks these things, but it's not accurate, and therefore, not useful to me. Thanks for trying.
Moment tracks your time as you know, but it doesn’t do it well. One day I was on a 1 1/2 hours and it tracked my time for six minutes. It doesn’t track faithfully. This app is not very good because it does not track your time. And makes you think you’re not on your iPhone that much, but you really are. Settings is so much better.
I didn’t realize how much of my life I was wasting. My screen time is down to about an hour every day and only picking up my phone about 25x per day. I love seeing the green checks fill up the month by meeting my goals!!!
When ever the app closes.. it pauses and then you won’t get to your goal. Other wise good app.
I loved this app at first and think it’s an amazing concept, but the execution is poor. It won’t record my screen time because of stupid stuff like needing access to a bunch of things, and it varies every time. So I don’t know if it’s recording my screen time when I’m not checking it. I love that they had the bar chart to show usage throughout the week and hours and minutes of usage per day, but I can’t see how long I spent on various apps and all that is useless if it won’t even record anything.
I really liked it before because of the force quit feature. But now it’s gone.
No way to turn off the app asking about your mood, this app is garbage
Worked amazing the first time and very helpful. Now any time I use it it doesn’t register that I set my phone face down on a table without moving so it buzzes every 2 seconds. I can’t use it now. I’d give it 5 stars if it worked
Now the app sends me constant notifications asking me for feedback or telling me the app has paused. I wanted this app to help me limit my phone use, not to create additional phone pickups every single day.
Says its a free app but won’t let you do ANYTHING without paying first.Bit of a scam to be quite honest. If you want people to pay for your app be upfront.
I really need a moment from this 'moment app'. A huge battery waster. You need to keep the dang thing on for 24 hours. This app is for babies who have not had their cookies. As soon as I started using this, the app fell apart. My 4 yr old sister can make a better app, and she's disabled. In conclusion, this app is a total waste of money and time. This app is a basket case. My 7 year old son continues to play Minecraft 24/7.
It would be great if you could get information about how much you were on particular apps. You have to supply all of that information through screenshots to the makers of this app however it is not possible to see for yourself what you are doing. I’ve looked all over the app for some way to find out how much screen time I am using for particular apps. There was some mention that it would be emailed to me but it never has been. My concern is that my data is being harvested and sold while I am can’t even access what my on my phone usage is. Every place the information might be stored seems to just be an advert for the paid version.
This is very disappointing that I have bought the premium which has the coach thing. But the developer just decided the bail out the premium users and start asking for a recurring bill for the moment coach. I have just downloaded it after the purchase couple months ago. After seeing this, I’m very disappointed and legit what’s good is now not here anymore for the ones who has helped you guys the developer on the app. It’s so frustrating that there are no compensation and we are now on the same page as the free users. Disappointed.
I am along time user of Moment and big advocate for it. ...but this has gone south and I’m at a loss to understand why and why it has not been fixed. Really disappointed.
I paid for moment premium and now I have to get a subscription? That’s annoying
The removal of the screen tracking means this is no longer a useful app. Hope future updates bring it back.
I used to love the old version of moment with the circular tracker on the front screen, but I find it harder now to see where I sit in relation to my daily goals. A number on a screen doesn’t cause the same reaction that the bar turning yellow as I got closer to my limit did! I also miss the customizable notifications! I had mine every 15 mins and it was so effective at keeping me on track of my screen time. Since the update I have stopped using moment as much and my screen time has increased a lot, which is such a shame. That being said I do like some new aspects of the app including improved navigation, and the blue colour scheme is much more aesthetically pleasing than the pale green. BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back customizable notifications!! Thank you
Since the new update the app has unfortunately the app no longer tracks my phone usage. Loved the app before the update.
I paid for the Premium version of Moment and all was well until the new version was released. I no longer receive any notification of the time I spend on my phone. Even when the actual time I spend on my phone exceeds my limit, I have no notification or whatsoever. With no notification, the app is now pretty useless to me. It doesn’t really help me much in reducing my time on my phone, which goes against my intention of using this app. I’m disappointed by the new version. Please give me back the old Moment.
Why did you update to the version which changed the app logo 😢
I use to love this app but it has stopped showing me usage for Instagram which one of the main reasons I use it, when I take the screenshots it has every app but Instagram which makes it pretty inaccurate.
This app was once my favorite for screen-time tracking, but since the recent updates it has become essentially unusable. They've removed important components, the tracking is no longer accurate, and changed the entire layout to the point I've had to find a new app. Very unfortunate.
UPDATE: Moment support fixed the issue! If you paid for the app before they started the subscription, just email their support and they’ll get your access to Coach back! (Note: I didn’t realize this, but you don’t need to log into an account to access Coach. Those are two separate things. So don’t worry if you don’t have a Moment account.) I’m subtracting one star because the user interface isn’t as useful or intuitive as the old Moment. Otherwise, awesome app! Edit: Per developer request, I have sent an email with my information on 12/26/2018. If my purchase is restored I will update this review. Original review: I loved Moment - I even paid for the app (BEFORE there was a subscription). Now that it’s updated, I can’t log in. I’ve even tried ALL the emails I have, although I’m fairly sure the one I tried first was correct, but every time I try to reset my password, it says it doesn’t recognize my email. Was this a way to force everyone who already paid for the app to get a subscription?
This app was pretty phenomenal, before update 4.0 which redesigned the home screen, and changed screen time and pick up goals to where they don’t even work anymore. They also added moment coach subscription which somewhat defeats the purpose of getting premium if you don’t want to fork over a ton of cash for the subscriptions they have. I used to be a huge fan of this app, however with this update that came a little while ago, I rarely use moment as opposed to before the update I would love looking at all the features, tracking my time etc.
I used to open it and Immediately see usage per day. Now it’s all weird. Says it needs access to my camera whereas before it only said it needed access IF I wanted a usage breakdown by app (I don’t). Just give me what I had before. I also paid for this app before. And now it’s offering me a paid version (again?). Deleting. Now iPhone has screen time feature.
When the app works it’s good but even the new update it still crashes when I open it!
I’ve been using Moment since May of 2017, so almost two years. It was previously a really good tool for tracking my screen time, and I love the ability to export my data. However, over the past four months, it hasn’t been working correctly. I’ll open the app and find it wasn’t tracking anything that morning, and it’s amount of screen time and the Apple Screen Time don’t match. I have a feeling this has more to do with iOS than the actual app, but if there’s a fix, that would be great. It still tells me when I force close it, but lately when it turns off I have no idea, and it seems to be random.
So when I’m out with friend nope IN AN A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION NOPE NOTHING AND IT THIS APPS FAULT
Do not download it keeps switching of if you want to put it on again you have to open the app again Waist of time downloading it
Going to remove as super annoying. Every time you pick up the phone to answer it a pop up appears and you end up gong into that rather than your call or message.
Ever since I decided to opt in and pay for the premium version of this app, and updated to the newer version, it has not stopped force quitting on me. It’s really not worth updating, so don’t bother. (Apparently I’ve been on my phone for 15 minutes today. I know that’s a lie as it’s almost 7pm 😂).
It’s really useful and has surprised me how helpful it is. It’s a case of what gets measured gets managed. Thanks very helpful
Tracking the time wasted on phones . Surprising!
Thanks for creating this
It helps you to keep real tracking of how much you use your phone.
The app does a good job of calculating phone use and it would be great if there was a Mac app
I downloaded Moment out of curiosity, but finding out how long I actually spend on my iPhone was scary. I use it now to keep my use within what I consider OK levels, and it helps do that well. The premium version is well worth the few €/$
would r8 8/8 if i could m8 gr8 app
