Beautiful Writing App. Impressive. Tried it free but would pay for this. Really nice interface and easy to navigate. Tons of exercises from cursive writing to numbers and many words and shapes and designs. Good touch recognition makes it fun and satisfying. Fun kid sounds and colors plus animated accents and interactive portions post writing. I have found many wonderful fun and learning apps for my son who is four and this is a favorite and very useful. Nice work.

Best app I have seen for learning cursive!. My son is now learning cursive, we have tried all the different free apps out there. This app is worth every dime! The best thing about this app is that it tells the child what letter they are practicing and also demonstrates how to write it. Most of the time with the free apps my son was not sure what letter he was practicing because it only had pointers to how to write the letter and wouldn't state what he letter was and didn't show how to draw it real time. The app is beautifully illustrated and fun for my son. Thank you so much for this app. Parents look no further, this app is the all in one place to help your child practice cursive. Being able to add your own cursive words and to record it with your voice is awesome! It even has a print option for your custom lists with the dot to dot lines to let your child practice on paper. Absolute A+!

Helps my 3rd grader and my 2 year old. My 3rd grader is just learning the basic cursive alphabet in school so this is super wonderful there and my 2 year old traces the lines and doodles! I love this app! SUPER HAPPY with it!!!

Fabulous #1. As an educational Therapist, with my Masters in special education and as a reading specialist, this is my #1 recommendation! Really brilliant students with dyslexia will write their letters differently every time so it never gets anchored into their memory the same and is easily confused. This program anchors in the direction of the letters while they hear it. Fabulous. I’ve recommended these products so often I should be making commission !

Not Bad. Parents and developers - i know this is just another random, long review, but I ask you to please take a couple minutes of your time reading this. Overall, this app isn’t bad at all. Because of the pandemic, I wasn’t able to learn cursive in my third grade and fourth classes since they were all virtual (I’m now in sixth grade). So when I got the app, I started practicing. This app works pretty well - it shows you the letter, how to write it, and then has you write it too. It’s great for learning and practicing, and if it starts to get boring, you can change the settings so that when you are tracing, you trace with cool 3D lines instead of plain boring pencil lines. There are no ads, which is definitely a plus, especially if there are six and seven year olds using this. I now know how to fluently write in cursive, but I still keep the app for my first grade sister. The one thing with the app is that even with the cool trying stuff, it gets boring quickly. After about five to ten minutes in this app, I would get distracted and I would disengage really quickly. If you could maybe make a coin system, maybe every time you learn and practice a letter a certain amount of times, you get coins. You could then buy new tracing things in a shop, instead of getting them all for free. This could easily be five stars if you did that, but again, just a suggestion. Great job overall, and if you are a parent, I recommend buying this app if you want your child to learn cursive. Thanks for Reading! ~ARandomSixthGrader~

Incredible. As a parent and a teacher with a small budget, I am very careful about choosing apps. This one is incredible. It has basic shapes that students with PT needs can benefit from as well as choices on fonts, sizes and it is fun! The letters are traced over with fun shapes and after the letter is completed the shapes are dynamic and sometimes involve moving the whole IPad. Love it!!!

Best cursive app ever created. I've tried many and this one is miles ahead of every cursive app I've seen. Not only does it teach each letter in an engaging way for kids of all ages, it allows the child to learn how to connect letters together to write words in cursive. I am an occupational therapist in a school setting. I especially like it for teaching kids how to write their name in cursive.

I love this Game but....... I love this game but some of the designs make me a little dizzy oh and I mean dizzy dizzy. I also love it when you mess up because if they swirl and you mess up then it will have like the opposite swirling thingy.

A definite asset. My visually-oriented kindergartener, who reads at a 3rd grade level, was having a bit of a problem following directional instructions for making cursive letters. After 10-15 minutes a day playing with the Cursive app, and then going back to his printed worksheets, he is breaking through his barriers. The animation feedback, repetition, and totally dispassionate patience of the app is just the thing he needed. Our 2-year-old preschooler, while playing with the Writing Wizard app, is learning small motor skills and the importance of following instructions. Because of the miscellaneous animations, she is also learning physics, fluid dynamics, and so much more. We have definitely recouped our investment in the app by the end of this first week.

Delightful. This is perfect for teaching children cursive. I have my kids use it with the Apple Pencil so the skill will transfer over to real life writing with pen and paper, and it does. The instructions are straightforward and simple enough I didn’t have to explain to my five-year-old—she didn’t need my help at all. And the animations are dope. They remind me of those bubble things you buy for your desk for people to play with or old Windows screensavers. They are interactive and oddly satisfying.

Fun, better on iPad. This is a fun practice app. Love the way it has colors and designs to trace with. We found it was much easier on the iPad due to size. The iPhone was so small, especially for words. Probably not good if you're looking for sentence practice, but for letters and words with some fun thrown in... It's pretty great.

Important. As a teacher, I still think learning cursive is an important part of education and it is being neglected. Practice will ensure children will be able to sign their names in the future!

My report is.... My report is that you should make a game called Cursive Writing Wizard 2: Magical Cursive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cursive writing. A good way to encourage children to write the letters accurately and to practice. Like that you can have multiple users and can add your own words. Using a stylus helps it to be more like writing with a pencil. Haven't used it long enough to see if the children will keep interested in it enough to improve their writing, but so far they enjoy it.

Letters are not cursive!. This app seems to think cursive letters are just print letters with tails. I completely messes up k, b, x and others, which will TOTALLY CONFUSE YOUR CHILD! App should show all the letters so teachers and adults can know what they are getting into. None of the letters with ascenders even have loops for ascenders. This is not simply a matter of “my version of cursive is different than yours.” This is fundamentally being too lazy to make actual cursive.

Left-Handed Setting. Agree with rave reviews but the best part for our lefty family is the left-handed setting!

Winner!. My dtr wanted to learn cursive so I purchased this app. I tried it out and thought it was comprehensive and fun. My 3rd grader played On my way! it and hollered "I love this app!" She's a tough critic so the app gets an A+ in my book!

Get this cursive app. If you want your child to stay engaged this is the app you want. She loves the stickers she gets to control after she practices the letters. She has been using this app for a while and she finds herself picking this app over other games. It's the stickers! Genius for developing such an engaging app! Thanks

Genius way to use touch screen technology to teach cursive!. Love this app! Was struggling to help my child with cursive when she wasn’t getting much instruction in school. This has been a game changer. Does everything I could want it to do!

Love it!. I love this app. I wish that the words I added on the iPhone were also automatically also on the iPad when we choose to use that device. I think that each list has to be imported to each different device. That’s the only thing I can think of that would make it better. ;)

Awesome app to teach Zaner Bloser cursive!. I'm using this app to teach both my ten year old son and seven year old grand-son cursive. The app allows me to set up separate profiles for each of them so I can monitor progress without watching over each child's shoulder every moment.

WONDERFUL sequal to last writing app. A great addition to there previous app I love how I can use a stylus or finger with this app with my kids. A great app to start kids off with who are learning cursive writing. This app allows customization and allows you to track progress a bid thumbs up from me and the kids

Black outs. Worst app Ibe ever bought. Buggy and constantly blacks out, further frustrating my child.

Coool!. Especially cool

Very glitchy app. This app is very glitchy. It started off okay, and the effects are really nice, but once we got to the letter b it would not allow us to continue tracing the letter. It was like it did not sense the touch halfway through the letter. We tried several other letters and it does the same thing. It is a great concept, if only it would work properly. We even got the paid version so we’re out $5 for a non-working app.

Loads of Fun Writing Practice!. Cursive Writing Wizard- Trace Letters and Words is a wonderful way to practice cursive writing skills! Choose from 4 Cursive styles DN, ZB, French Cursive 1 and French Cursive 2. This app provides practice in upper-and lower-case letters as well as numbers 1 through 9. There is a fun pre-drawing section to practice making fun shapes! The app guides the learner in tracing each character, and offers tremendously fun animated graphics as a reward after the tracing is completed! Use a stylus for best practice! There are words to practice writing, too! One of my favorite features is the ability to add my own practice words along with my own audio! What a fun way to practice spelling words! Some schools no longer teach the art of cursive writing....but you can practice and learn here! I have been teaching myself some French cursive! What fun! This company makes some of my favorite educational apps! Highly recommended!

IPA Letters and pronunciation. can you add the International Phonetic Alphabet letters and how they’re pronounced? I really like the International Phonetic Alphabet. Maybe in another update?

Great for kids with fine motor difficulties.. Great for my child who has Cerebral Palsy and difficulty with fine motor skills.

Doesn’t include uppercase cursive. While I appreciate that the app has lowercase cursive and there are no issues with that, my son is also trying to learn uppercase cursive and I did not see any option for this. I’m willing to change my rating if I’m mistaken but I went through all the options and couldn’t figure it out. Sort of disappointing since he has trouble just using the tracing books and this is a method that generally really works for him.

Magic!!. What a wonderful app, so beautifully executed and many thoughtful touches. Made by a true artist. Tricking my little girl into cursive with all the playfulness!!! Great for French Immersion. I use this app with students from grade one to grade 3 French Immersion and it is Fantastic!!!! The kids love to see the exciting graphics as they write. They learn how to spell and how to form proper cursive letters. I like hoe you can adjust the settings so that they become more independent writers (without relying on the model to guide them) and how you can create your own lists of words. I also love the new feature where you can exports created lists to this app on other devices without having to recreate the same list!!!! I have ALL of L'Escapadou apps, and I find them all very excellent teaching tools for my students. Merci beaucoup!
