Garbage app. Constantly sends notifications. When opened on app the app redirects to web page which then requests 3FA and then reminds you ‘next time use the app’ .

Very good, except. I want to be able to book a phone consultation.

A.J.N. Excellent

HOTDOC. Very easy to follow and understand to book in to my GP and then be updated as my appointment time arrives. Excellent additional tool to my life .

HotDoc App. Works brilliantly! All of your treating or possible treating specialists are all attached to your profile. One place for all your medical information. Appt making is a breeze. Having the ability to write to your doctor what scripts you usually need when visiting, if an existing patient, makes it easier to remember and saves the doctors, medical staff and receptionists precious time. I’m also enjoying the new additions eg phone consult, prescription request, if an existing patient, and the ability to make my appointments well in advance as the surgery is very busy and popular due to all who work there and make this surgery a wonderfully inviting space for all. It also frees up the excellent reception staff’s time so they don’t have to keep answering phones and can attend to other duties, I imagine the volume of calls have decreased etc…I at least hope for them, which makes a happy business. Thanks to the wonderful reception team. They truly are the best and know their medical care and system so well. Thanks Ladies, as always!

Not clear on how to make payments. My appointment was cancelled today, due it saying that I didn’t add my card details. When actual fact I had! No where it said I had to go to default (which was all very hard to find) and press that. In that I have to wait another week to see the doctor. In our day it’s not just the doctor who mucked around but myself. As I had to rearrange things for today to see a doctor but was cancelled because I didn’t press the default (that I didn’t know I had to) now I have to make other arrangements and be inconvenienced to go next week. Very disappointed that this happened and I hope for new people using this app it will be easier to navigate and explained easier to!

Great app. Never had an error with this app.. Have been using this app since it commenced. Have used it many many times and have never had an error or mistake with using it. It is simple to use and makes the process or making an appointment, recording it to your calendar and giving confirmations and reminders an easy process. Suggestion. Apps that work flawlessly should be left alone and not upgraded. Upgrading for visual improvements tend to end up flawed. Tony Hyde

A helpful addition to any home!. HotDoc has made my life so much easier when making appointments for my child. Her doctor works within the same company across two sites so I can easily see which is the next available (and also book Telehealths when we need something like a script repeat) The app works seamlessly for me - I haven’t had any mixups at all and there is no comparison to other booking apps that I have used previously - Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Too many restrictions. I find using this app there is a very long (and sometimes inaccurate) wait for available appointments. I checked on Sunday night for an available time for the coming week and there was only one time which I couldn’t use and otherwise it was two weeks to wait. Checking later in the week other slots appear to be released. It seems it would be less hassle to just ring and make an appointment. The only time I would recommend using this app is if you want to book a non urgent or long appointment well in advance.

Fantastic App For Doing Doctors Appointments. If you have a medical condition or need to see speak with your physician doctor, this app is fantastic because you can if you’re own physician doctor is extremely busy & appointments have waiting times. Well this app can allow you the opportunity to book appointments with your physician, doctor, specialists in advance, it doesn’t cost you anything & they also send you texts & emails reminders when you next appointment is scheduled.

Review on the HotDoc Platform. HotDoc makes it easy to check in, check how long until your about to be called in for example 3rd, 2nd or 2st in the que. also it makes it easy to check in, just open the application and there it is right there my appointment notice and it says check in with the availability of tapping on the check in. Making appointments is very convenient, rather than standing on the phone for up to several minutes I can just go into HotDoc and book an appointment/s Thank you to the creators or the app and I will continue to use HotDoc.

Alexandra dorrington and Daryl dorrington re dr Lucas de sequoia. Dr Lucas is such a very amazing docter he is the bestever thorough and complete he speclises in all other areas also like skin cancer , removes lumps, cosmetic surgeon also if you want the best of the best make a appt and see for yourself how great this dr is he has been looking after us for quiet a while and remains our local gp thank you dr Lucas de sequoia for everything you have done for us looking after our health and well being god bless you ♥️♥️♥️

Need ability for patient to make notes for doctor. HotDoc is a really good App. Easy to use and make an appointment. It lets you choose the doctor with lots of dates and times available. It also sends you an email to confirm the appointment straight away and sends you a reminder to check in before the appointment. Recommendation: I would like to see the ability for the patient to put notes in for the Doctor/or for patient history. For instance, you can say why you are coming - i.e yearly check up, cold, flu, sore ear, pap smear etc….

Convenient. Really appreciate the convenience of the app, especially being able to make appointments outside office hours. Only complaint is with the last update, scrolling went from smooth and continuous to clunky. When you’re finger leaves the screen, the page stops scrolling instead of continuing. I’m not sure if that was on purpose or not, but when you’re scrolling through all the available appointments, it requires more scrolls, takes longer and is uncomfortable when you’re used to every other app scrolling smoothly like this one used to. A minor complaint but has a surprisingly negative impact on the usage of the app.

Thanks HotDoc! 🥰. I’ve used HotDoc for years and it’s always been incredibly useful - for booking urgent appointments out of hours, organising routine appointments conveniently, and finding new health care practitioners. Last night it really shone though - I had an extremely painful eye inflammation and was extremely light sensitive so even looking at my phone was difficult. But thanks to HotDoc I was able to find a nearby optometrist with availability for that morning and book in with my stored details in a matter of a few clicks and about 20 seconds. The relief I felt at knowing there was a reliable, trustworthy app there to help me when I really needed it was huge. Thanks HotDoc!

Great app!. Easy to use. Love the fact that you can make your own bookings and if you are new to a medical centre that you can fill in the new applicant forms right on the app/site. Makes it so much easier then your not in a rush once your in queue to have to fill out documents with shared pens and clipboards. The only thing I find isn’t updated on the app is it doesn’t cover all Covid-19 vaccine centres within your area. Like pharmacies and such. It gives you such a small and limited list of what is really available to you.

Take caution!. Booking works well however if you are getting blood results, the app apparently knows this and will send a message without the GP knowing or even consenting. The message makes it seem as though there is a problem with the results and you need to see the doctor. This was not the case for me and I wasted my time and my doctors valuable time. The doctor has even said that what the app is doing is wrong and invasive but they won’t change it because it gets more clicks on the app. Make sure to always ring and double check with your GP with follow up appointments.

Emergency terrible pain 81 year old. I have been in awful pain for days I rang an ambulance I had to folllow them I REALLY tried!!!! I had to go left into Mc Entyre they said then make a uturn I DID, and was back on Main North Rd, I had no option in agony and made it home WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE still in agony left upperback I also in agony drove to Salisbury medical (on corner 5 Way) but the Dr was not in! Please don’t let me just die here in bed but I must admit I may be best can’t take this pain

Hot Doc Review. I have an Excellent GP and am so very grateful for him He is a very dedicated and knowledgeable GP I feel at peace knowing I have a GP who I can trust and not having family support in this state gives me a feeling of security to not only myself but my son and grandson who live in Melbourne Being able to use Hot Doc enables me to book conveniently from home With GPs getting booked out in advance it is important to have this App to ensure one can get an appointment when/if necessary To ring and book an appointment often is a time consuming and an inconvenience as you are put on hold which one does NOT need I am a very satisfied Hot Doc App user With Thanks and Gratitude

Booking a second AstraZeneca vaccination. HotDoc is an excellent app but, like most things, can do with a little tweaking. The HotDoc app and website states that the standard AZ interval for a second dose is 12 weeks, however, given the current situation in Greater Sydney, patients have the option of a 6 week interval between doses. The app and website blocks any attempt to book a second dose before 12 from the first dose. Can this be fixed?

Very good apps. I love this apps it’s give us an opportunity to choose the day and time suits us to go to see the doctor. I would have give it 5 stars it this app have the comment option. If you can add that option for us to use to write something for the doctor without double booking will be very helpful and save times for everyone. Yesterday I booked an appointment for my mum to see the doctor for flu injection but there wasn’t have any option for me to add my reason to see doctor. Because of my first time make online booking I want to making sure my mum will have the flu vaccine on the appointment day. Luckily I give the clinic a call to add that on their end otherwise she may not have the flu vaccine on that days. So that was a double booking and it’s was a bit of wasting my time. Please I hope you do considering about the comment option on the app thank you!

Nearly perfect!!. App works great, all medicos in one place and easy to add or remove a practitioner as necessary plus easy to see upcoming appointments and / or add to calendar. The ONE annoying thing is the email reminder. While the header says the right appointment time, the body of the message, which attracts your eyes first, shows the date in UTC, many hours different from local time. Annoying, confusing and an unnecessary oversight by programmers… please correct it. Everything else is fine, Thank you. Bob.

Hooray Hot Doc is back!. This is so convenient to use. I can clearly see what appointments are available and so can choose one that suits me. I get a confirmation email so I know the appointment has been made and a text message reminder either on the day or the day before. I love the reminder service as it prevents me from forgetting an appointment. I can also cancel and or change appointments too. I much prefer this to making telephone appointments.

Great app but telehealth?. Hi, this is a great & easy app to use to look at the doctors schedules & book in at a convenient time without having to ring the surgery. A booking I had made was apparently marked as a telehealth appointment so I had the doctor ring me when I was just about at the front door. I don't remember seeing anything about telehealth when I made the booking, & can't find it mentioned anywhere in my confirmed booking in the app. It would be great if this was visible somewhere in the booking as I felt bad that I didn't know I'd made a telehealth booking. Thank you!

Great Staff & service. Whenever I have to change my appointments around the staff at Chermside Smart Clinic are very accommodating nothing is an issue and will give options if possible. I have had appointments with several different Doctors and all my questions and problems are addressed and resolved. My experiences with the nurses has been very positive. Attending to the issue at hand with professionalism. I would recommend this Smart Clinic.

Needs to update covid check list. I actually like this app, but it needs to update the part where it asks all these invalid questions about covid. We no longer know where hotspots are and it no longer matters if you have been overseas, I agree it matters if you have a fever or or if someone you live with has covid, but asking questions that are no longer valid takes time away from getting to booking an appointment. That may seem stupid to be annoyed about, but when your doctors surgery has only 3 appointments left for the day and you need to be seen today it makes a difference! I was lucky to get the last spot.

Annoying. I currently don’t have a phone number so had to use a friends so annoying. I also wanted an extra long appointment I think I’ve booked 2 appointments next to each other at least I tried to but the appointment notification says at the first start time it doesn’t mention the second one I booked although the second time disappeared on the screen to choose from so I’ll wait n see. Also I wanted to book a Pap smear at the same time and thought I’d better not book 3 appointments at once I’ll have to wait and see what I get. I found the appointment s screen not very good. I would have liked to be able to email the office and let them know but there was no place to do that from. Very confusing and time consuming in the end. Not everyone has a phone you know.

Easy to use for family. I recently needed to switch to this app to retain access for booking appointments with our preferred Dr’s. It is easy to navigate and I like how you end up with a list of your favourite GP’s. Reminders are useful and the adding to the calendar a handy option. The only improvement we would suggest is the ability for confirmation txt messages to be sent to the family member for whom the booking is made. Thank you for the additional information about the background of the Doctors as well. Interesting and reassuring.

Awesome App. I absolutely LOVE this app. My regular doctor only works at my local clinic on Monday’s and is very popular. He is also away sometimes due to long weekends, holidays, etc and I used to have to call the clinic during work hours and try to go through his schedule, then try to fit an appointment in around my work schedule, which could be a real pain in the bum and takes up time on the phone with the girls. Now I can access HotDoc at my leisure, day or night and completely take my time choosing a suitable appointment, without having to rush a phone call during work hours. It gives me his schedule weeks ahead of time and is so easy to use. You only have to fill in your details at the start and it remembers your choices then brings them up again the next time for you. It also gets you to confirm your appointment before the day, sends a reminder on the day and adds the appointment to your calendar. All in all a brilliant and very convenient app!

So frustrating. It says “doctor X is available from 11:10am tomorrow …” but when you try to book them - it’s not true - it changes to “no appointment for 6 days”. I think… ok maybe I was just unlucky. But I go back to the site and it still says they’re available. It’s glitchy and frustrating. Same happened multiple times on this. Then when the booking was made it was very unclear if it really was made or if I needed to enter more info. I was then stuck in a loop from which there was no escape. Frustrating too! I’m sure it’s not what the programmers/designers intended but the actual experience was so glitchy for me. But I’ve received an email saying the appointment is confirmed so I’m going to turn up and see, I guess. Confidence however is now very low due to glitchy experience.

Fast and accurate.. I use HotDoc to book 90% of my appointments. It is so easy to use. I can choose my own Dr, days, times etc and i can also choose whether it is a visit to them or via tele health too. Choosing appointment times and dates are really easy. You can read all the back ground info about each different Dr and make an informed choice on who you want to see. You see all of the available appointments and pick one. Perfect communication via email and text messages to confirm, check and approve, cancel or change appointments too. Perfect.

Very excellent. I feel the app is the best thing that happen only thing is when you go on usually weeks that you can’t go and booked as it’s booked out and then you got to ring on the day to make a appt if you get in I think the app should able you to make a appt and the on s you got to ring that morning leave them for people that are sick or just need to see a Dr that day but if you just booking a appt a week or 2 ahead you should able too

Pretty good, couple glitches. On the whole, love the app. Use it for myself and my parents’ appointments. Two problems: #1. Sometimes when you change / cancel an appointment, even after two days, it still doesn’t refresh in the app, even after opening and closing. #2. My parents are concession card holders so often get bulk billed, but HotDoc tries to force me to enter bank details for the appointment confirmation. This is a breach of national principles - a party is never to ask for personal information that isn’t essential in offering the service. But on the whole, great app!

Not confirmed. I made an appointment for a Tele health appointment. The app said the appointment was “confirmed”. It asked if I wanted to put it in my calendar, I did not. The appointment was on the same day I made the appointment. I put the phone the coffee table, up loud so I would hear it ring. I chose to do jobs, a bit of house work and some of my work for my job. I kept looking at the clock waiting for the phone to ring and it never rang. I presumed the doctor got busy and was running late. I grabbed the phone and went to pick up my son from school. While waiting at the school I looked at my phone and realised I was suppose to look out for a text, this text wanted me to “confirm”. I had already got confirmation, I didn’t realise I had to confirm twice, I didn’t realise I had to look out for a text. I like hot doc - I think it works well, but this incident hurt - very frustrating.

It works great for me. The HotDoc app is easy to use whether you're making doctors appointments, dental appointments etc. You get to choose what services you add and this includes family members or anyone else you need to make appointments for. It's straightforward, fast and you will even be notified if an appointment needs to be changed. I have been using it for well over a year and it's the only way I make appointments. 5 stars, great app.

Could be better. The GP I use has two practices in the same suburb. It's great that I can save one doctor as a favourite but if they're not available when I need them, I want to be able to favourite both the practices, so I can quickly find other doctors in the same practice without having to scroll or search and filter through every practice in the region to find another GP in my practice! Can we please have the option to favourite multiple GPs or practices?? That aside some of my appointments booked through the app do not show in the app... yet I got confirmation email and the appointment is auto confirmed and the practice reception also see it. I want to change it but I can't cancel it because it's not there so I have to waste time calling the practice to cancel or change appointments... which totally defeats the object of having the app.

(Most) negative reviews have nothing to do with app.. This is more for people reading the reviews before downloading. the common denominator in the low star reviews are from stuff ups and inconsistencies that are not on the HotDocs end of things. Being upset that someone has to still wait to see their doctor or that what they thought was a bulk billing clinic is no so- is not the responsibility or fault of this App. I haven’t used it very long but used the online site multiple times and as a forgetful mother of 1 year old twins I can garentee you this app is a life saver, especially if you’re like me and the concept of talking on the phone gives you hives haha.

Great no waiting on the phone. This is the best thing ever. I am so sick and tired of waiting on the phone for 20 minutes plus to be told the next available appointment is in 4 weeks. Now I can just go on here not waste anymore of my time waiting on the phone. Also let’s me know how many people are in front of me so I know how long I have to wait. I can sign in on my phone without having to see anyone so love this app

Quick to make appointments. • Better than ringing the Medical Centre and waiting to speak to a receptionist. • After you learn how to use this HotDoc App, it’s quick and simple to make my appointments. • This HotDoc App is installed on my iPhone & iPad. They sync so both of them show the same info. • I don’t call the Medical Centre to make appointments anymore. • My 84 year old Mum uses her iPhone and iPad. However, it took a few weeks to teach and help her to use it. She has some trouble using it on her own, and calls me for help every time lol

Online info collection. As a booking app it’s great and easy to use. My only problem is that the site requests information: Name, DOB, Medicare number that the site claims it will use to provide better health care etc and states that it will collect information sensitive and non sensitive. Collection and storage of this information is always a risk of theft by hackers. All businesses should think seriously about why they need this information. Any obviously I didn’t agree with the site terms and conditions.

Difficulties. I have had this app for such a long time. I had booked through it, was able to confirm etc… then everything began to glitch. I don’t get the initial email about the upcoming appointment nor do I find my number in the queue anymore. I have done all the trouble shooting suggestions and even downloaded the app again. I did not start from a new account only refreshed as I had appointments booked. I sometimes get messages about appointments but it’s random. I do not get to know where I am in the queue. I often ring to check if my answers got through. I am increasingly confused and disappointed with this app.

Updates to the app. Yes I like the ease of booking appointments, but, when the app is updated and my iPad is an older version I am unable to update and as a result the app no longer works on my iPad. I’m an older citizen (Pensioner) and do not have the cash to purchase a new iPad, nor do I need a new iPad, and found that, by booking appointments through this app I could organise my days much easier but not now. Why do they not give an alternative or at least leave part app to the previous settings.

Basically easy to use. It’s great to see the dates not just for today but for later dates and different drs, plus searching for other medical clinics and specialists. Easy to book, but if the clinic changes anything about the appointment all I see is that there’s been a change in the appointment. I am too busy sometimes to even stop to call. Also, at the moment HotDoc doesn’t let me make long appointments, and when I reply to the confirmation and click yes I’m coming. It asks if I have hotdoc which I’ve had for over 2-3 years to download the app and manage apts there. But I can’t see the past and with that text reminder I go into the hotdoc and say yes, but still acts like I don’t have it. Wet confusing. It never did this (for about 6 months minimum)

It’s so easy to book an appointment. I particularly like that you can advise the doctor about your reason for the visit. An overview of the appointment times and days helps you plan your visit, instead of just taking an appointment that’s offered verbally. I would only query whether it could be explained whether certain procedures require a long appointment and whether a double appointment is the same as a long one.

Refused appointment. Applied for appointment to be sent email it was refused no reason..the app clearly says you can book an appointment anytime …well you just cannot ..that’s a clear lie ..a disappointment, and a let down ..pick and chook who you want to help us not professional ..I have been there before ,I called to ask why I was refused..they lame reply was “you have not been here for years, so you would be listed as a new patient !😳we are not taking new patients “that’s also a lie I know the groups of people who actually come to the clinic to see the drs for special reasons ..this is the deal in Cowra ,alienation by drs to patients they just do not want ..good work people professionals all the way …

One of the best Apps I have !!. I’ve used the HotDoc app now for the past 3 years. It has never let me down! It provides me with all available times and days with my preferred doctor. It’s so easy to book a suitable time as you can see them on the app. Once you’ve booked an appointment , you will confirm it through your email. You can change or delete appointments at any time with the app. It’s highly recommended :-)

Makes me feel worse when I’m sick. This app made me feel much worse when I was sick and tried to use it. I made an appointment with my doctor and confirmed it. On the day, at the time, I joined the queue, and I refreshed, and I joined the call. Did my doctor join? No. Twenty minutes after I joined the video call my phone rang - it was my doctor. You may think, that’s not really the app’s fault. But doesn’t an app that’s meant to connect sick people with doctors have to work for both of them? When you’re sick, how much fun is it making an appointment for a video consultation, and getting a phone call 20 minutes afterwards? Goodness knows how much my doctor’s practice pays for this, but they’re going to hear about it. And am I the only one who thinks HotDoc is a really weird name?

Bad UX. The app can’t make up its mind whether it’s an app or a web link. I get an app notification to make an appointment to check some results. I follow the link and I’m in my phone’s browser, so I have to log in. I make the appointment and try to add it to the calendar but all it does is download an .ics file. So I close the browser, open the app (again) and try to add to calendar from there, only to be handed off back to chrome to download the .ics file again. And while I’m there, a pop up link appears down the bottom saying “Why don’t you use the app” with a big ‘OPEN’ button, as if I hadn’t just opened the app. Round and round and round we go. I’ve manually added it to my calendar.

So easy to use. Being able to see times that my Doctor is available and making a booking without waiting on the phone is a huge help in planning my day. A suggestion for future updates is the ability to cancel an appointment with the on duty nurse through the app as you can so easily do now with a Doctors appointment. I had made an appointment with the duty nurse to get my flu shot then became ill (not the flu) and needed to cancel my appointment but then had to phone the receptionist with the normal waiting period online before they were able to attend to my request. The staff on the phones are very busy all day with far more urgent matters than a simple cancellation. The ability as mentioned above to cancel a Duty nurses appointment along with a Doctors appointment would make things so much easier.

Easy to use. I found this app really easy to use, now that I’m seeing a dr who allows online bookings. It was nice and easy to add to my calendar as well, giving me the option of which calendar I wanted to add it to. Usually I prefer to call and make my appointments, but the ease of use, and the ability to use the app outside of business hours is really useful, esp if you’re like me and remember to do things once everything is closed!!

Very efficient. Booking with HotDoc is really easy and fast. Selecting the consultation type and available appointment is so efficient. It saves me time and it must be easier for the surgery reception staff - less trying to juggle ringing phones and speak to patients at the front desk. It would be good if all doctors’ appointments could be made this way; additional screening processes could be added where a doctor has limited capacity or isn’t taking new patients for example.

I don’t see the problems....... After reading through several of the negative comments, it strikes me they are not a problem of the Hot Doc app, but problems caused by extenuating circumstances outside of the control of the good people who keep this app service running. I think this is a great app and while I’m not overly happy about the ever creeping takeover by technology, this service takes away stress for the person making an appointment and the staff at doctors clinics being tied up answering the phone. 👍🏻

Book a Doctors appointment. Since I have been using this app, I have not experienced any problems at all. Rather than ring the practise for ordinary appointments, when I am logged in and on my doctor of choice, I can see all the available times, for over a week. After booking your appointment, it is verified confirmed with the practise by email, and also requesting conformation to attend my message. It is very easy to use, one of the best apps in a long time.

My appointment was cancelled. Hi there , please add notification of cancelling the appointment from doctors side , I have arranged the appointment yesterday , coming today and find out my appointment was cancelled by doctor as the doctor not taking any patients other than his regular patients . During the process of booking the appointment there were no notes about anything like ‘this is a private doctor , only book an appointment if have been to this doctor ‘, now because of this I have had to wait for 2 hours , seriously what is the point of the Online appointments if they don’t work. Very disappointed and don’t know who to blame either the app which is not finished or the clinic , where they do what ever the want without notifying their clients. Hopefully you will address my issue appropriately and will do something to it to avoid future patients appointments to be cancelled. Thanks.
