Initial feedback. Great work guys.. Really wish we can have access to both decks for the cue points though. I know space is tight - but at least give us the option. Whether it be just the first two pads or even make the pads smaller. I can see people making mistakes and hitting cues on the wrong side while in a rush.. Otherwise this was much needed!

Needs a Play button!. As a supplement to the board, it's ok, but the app doesn't add any extra functionality that isn't already far easier to access & use on my Pioneer DDJ-SX board (with no risk of wireless latency). If you have a bare-bones board, the app might be useful. What I NEED is a Play button. I DJ a lot of weddings, awards dinners, and other events. A Play button would enable me to start music at times when I have to be away from my board (such as during the Toasts when I'm running around with the mic.) Why they chose to put a Queue button instead of a Play button is a mystery; Queueing a song is completely worthless if you can't also hit Play! This single addition would change my rating to a 5 star.

Perfect. Not any delay at all works fine. I wasn't surprised about the squishy UI but other than that its awesome to play with

Very disappointed. I wish I could get my money back and I just might look in to it. I thought the whole point of this app was to be portable, maybe avoid dragging my full Ns6 Dj mixer and stand to a friends house and just bring my laptop and a small speaker and have a portable mixer. So I ask what's the point of switching to use my iPhone or iPad while I have a Full mixer with track wheel and touch pads at my fingertips??? This is a useless gadget, very disappointed..

Coolish app, Needs Improvements. The lib section needs a play/stop feature, it would also be nice for the effects section to have an x/y control feature. All in all it's an alright app, would recommend it until it gets some updates tho, especially not for $5

Amazing App. It works on my NS7 ii and helps out alot when you want instand double your tracks on the fly and the FX work great hope there are more updates to come within bugs and fixes.

Pointless. I was excited to be able to start and stop my DJ station from outside the venue. This app does not accomplish this or anything else. You can’t view your library or crates or anything. I see zero value

Good compatibility. Works great with my numark controller , well worth the money I would also recommend this same app for the iPad the bigger screen allows much more versatility

Play pause button/Artist Song/Title. Amazing app, just a few flaws can be fixed with an update. A play button will help out when you not close to the set. And also if your just the mc you can see what other track the Dj is going play after so It gives you perspective on what to say to the crowd without being on the stage.

Awesome App Needs updates!. This is a fantastic app and really helps me stop looking at my computer screen while using my original DDJ-SR. This app would be even better if it included waveforms on it as well as if it went full screen on the iPhone X and up!

Great App!. Excellent work! I thought this app would be something I'd use here n there. But I could see myself using this for my sets. My only complaint I could think of right now is that I wish there was a way to favorite or move the FXs I would use the most to the top of the list. I love the amount of FXs installed, but there's only a few I would use on a regular basis. Overall great job right out the gate. I hope updates come frequently!

Sera to remote mini. This is crap and is Serato made this app shame on them. Do not buy it’s a waste of money no way to play remotely there’s no start and stop

Great. For the price of the app is more than good, i use the one on iPad also and both are great.

I want my $5 back.. No matter what I do this will not work with scratch live and any version of windows (7,8.1, and even 10). It hasn't even been updated since 2013. There is no reason that this issue hasn't been fixed in the last year and a half. Not cool serato.

Great app I'm having a blast playing. With the effects and pads it's just so fun! I don't know how other people are complaining about this app. It has opened up a new world of creativity for me well done serato I can't wait for what's in store in the next update!

What the hell Serato.. The title of the app says"Remote" so where is the stop/start button?. Holding down that queue button don't do Jack for me. I'm not trying to mix with this,, just want to start a queued up song away from the rig. Get on this please.

Update the app!. Can you guys update the app to remain compatible with new iOS? Otherwise great app.

No PLAY/PAUSE work around. pretty upset by the inclusion of so many useless features and the lack of the necessities. not needed: fx tab, duplicated 1st cue on Lib and Pad tabs missing: play/pause, track names they could have at least made the Lib 1st cue a latch for play/pause from 1st cue. i’m working a wedding where i want the music to start in reception as we’re leaving the ceremony room. my work around is to set up a 1 bar loop before the first track and hot play. so it is looping silence during the whole ceremony. then when we start to leave the ceremony i use this app to turn the loop off which lets the playlist continue in Autoplay mode. this is worth $5 to me. i doubt it’s work the embarrassment and damage to reputation it’s done to Serato to have released it unfinished and not put the warning in the description but have so many users have to do it. i would not have ever thought that a DJ remote didn’t have Play/Pause. i feel foolish. Serato made me feel foolish. it’s not good business to make your clients feel foolish for trusting you.

Smh!!!. I spent $4.99 for this?? Smh!! Why is there no play and pause button?? That makes 0 sense.. Also what good is it to be able to go up and down in the crates if you can’t seen what your doing when your away from the rig.. I really wish I would of seen the comments before I spent the money on it.. I would be a lot happier if it just had them two features over all the effects and loops and all that. All is app needs is the Q points a start and stop/pause button and to see your tracks and crates. But it’s been over like 3 years so I don’t see you all doing anything about it.. smh.

Great start, but no play button?. The layout and functionality of the mini remote are great but for the life of me I CANNOT figure out why they'd choose a CUE button over a PLAY button? Effects and hot cues are really fun to play with, but they're kind of useless if the track isn't PLAYING. I know this isn't supposed to replace a full on controller and no professional DJ would ever want it to, but having a PLAY button would make this amazingly useful companion for any DJ that actually does this for a living, like myself. Think long bathroom/bar breaks. How wonderful would it be no that you have the freedom to roam more than three minutes without the music stopping. Serato, PLEASE add a play button to the mini remote. We would all be grateful.

Does what is is supposed to. Anyone here who gave few stars is a victim of their own ignorance. This app does all it says it does. While it is basic in nature this is exactly how it was intended to be. Serato Remote has since seen some updates that some have asked for/addressed here (play button, quantize, etc.) and I am sure Remote Mini will see the samt in the future but asking for $5 back is a little lame. That's like 10 mins of work at your day job and it does what it says it does.

Good! But can be more.. As a relatively new DJ, im always searching for ways to become more efficient and creative, without breaking the bank. This is and excellent COMPANION to a controller, not a standalone controller. I like being able to monitor my decks from my phone instead of my laptop, and the FX control. My only problem is that it's so limited. And that's understandable, it's on a phone. But, it would be awesome if you could customize the app to your preference.. Similar to IL Remote. Customize to whatever you need, whether it be more cues or fx control. That would be stellar if you guys could work that out. But good app!

Perfect app to supplement your setup. Well worth $5. I use two turntables and a vestax mixer - I have ZERO bells and whistles. With this app, I got access the cue points, samples, effects and instant doubles works like a champ. It is really responsive when connected via usb. My gripes - I can't access all 8 of the Serato DJ cue points, I can only get to 4. I can't access any saved loops, but the auto loops are there for me so that's not that bad. Also, I wish there was a way to change the default cue point on the library screen... Really tho, all that is minor. The app is SUPER fun to mess with. It's only $5 and since i always have my phone, I get some cool tools at my fingertips. I really like this app.

Add a play/pause button please.... Serato: I realize you aren’t putting much money into developing this app, so I will ignore all the other small things… but as many have already been requesting, PLEASE add a play/pause feature for this app.

Still missing essential features. Needs play & pause buttons. Also needs volume slider to be useful. Basically useless..

Dissappointing!!. There are some fake reviews saying the issues have been resolved. oct 2016 - still cannot stop playing of a track or start playing. All you can do is drag the song to the deck. The biggest disadvantage I am song is, it doesn't show the track name. Then how do you choose which one to play? If you are standing next to the laptop or controller why should I use a remote? The only practical purpose I have seen is, if you are alone and have to go to rest room, you can watch the last track is running and drag the next one or auto play didn't stop etc. Please please add the track name and show the cue names. This need to be a two way remote. Please refund if you can. Thanks!

Some People are just stupid. If you gave this low stars you either don't understand djing or are stupid I am pretty sure this made to work only with Serato DJ which makes sense. It is not a replacement for Serato it is a supplement. If you want a replacement look at tractor DJ for iPhone that is a good backup but there is no replacement for a controller and device. It is such a great addition to a controller

We need an update. This launched 4 years ago with very few features. The idea is super cool but there are some basic functions that cannot be done using this app. Praying Serato redoes this bc it could come in handy with the correct capabilities. As of right now not worth the download. Please please please revisit and update!! ~DJ Quelle

Wasted Money. Same complaint as everyone else’s. Why no start/stop? Out of all the complaints about the lack of this feature I would like to at least see a response from Serato as to why. Please send my money back

Remote app. Needs play and pause bottom to make app useful. I can only play 10 sec of a song having to hold a button on my phone running for my mixer.

Play button and next track button?. Purchased this app but was disappointed that I couldn’t switch tracks or press play on the iPhone version of the app.

This is a perfect app add a little 🔥 to your set just wish the access all 8 hot cues and being able to access more effects and saved loops and being able to stop and play tracks their is so much potential in this app so much innovation WAKE UP SERATO great company as well !!

Serato remote. This is a complete rip-off! Do yourself a favor and totally ignore this . I got it goin ( no instructions ) finally. And was excited to see that it operates some functions on my serato . BUT the single most basic function : PLAY / PAUSE isn't there!!!!! They have other super stupid stuff ya probably would never use and ignored the only thing you need! How can you use this if you can't play a track ?? You can also browse your collection... Great... BUT you can't see it! It doesn't show on the screen. Who cares about the effects and other stuff if you can't use it? I called support and they confirmed this !! They said they may fix it in a future update... ?? Total waste of my hard earned money. I don't know bout the I pad, but the phone app should not be sold until it is a usuable product. They have just stolen from me. Tell a friend.... Thank you.

It's ok could be better. So I just got serato Dj and seen it had a remote app so I got it just wish I would have read about it before I paid for it the only thing I do not like is you have to hold down the button for it to play they need to make a play button for it then I will give 5 stars

Works great.. I don’t know why so many of you are complaining about the app not having a play button. This isn’t to replace a controller lll. It’s a pad for samples, loops and cues. If you don’t have a $300 SP1 this app will help you when mixing on mixers such as the DJM 900. It’s not hard people.

Uncontrollable scrolling. It works as expected given the limited screen size, however it is always scrolling down. Once I plug it out it stops, but once I plug it back in it starts scrolling down again. Verry annoying

SSL stepping it up!. As a DJ who has supported SSL since the original version and proud owner of an SL4 - I applaud this innovative and practical extension of Serato. This is a phenomenal distinguisher from the competition - it gives me confidence in the future of Serato. With the integration of Serato DJ and SSL looming, I reckon this to be a crucial augmentation of the line. Thanks as always for your focus on STABILITY over bells and whistles; and for this clever offering to enhance our djing experience.

Really? Essential items missing. So to be honest this serves no point. I can’t see or change tracks, there’s no play and stop buttons. At the bare minimum we expect to be able to select a song from our library and play it. That would be worth it. The way it’s set up now is a 100% no.

Great app if you know what it is. This is a SUPPLEMENT to Serato Dj on the computer. It is not for replacing the program and is not a stand alone app. People giving negative reviews don't understand that and are the type of people that only drink protein shakes and get upset when they find out they are vitamin deficient. If you have one of the newer controllers you may not need this app. Check the videos and see if it's an app that adds features you need. The price is the only thing I wasn't too happy about... But very glad with the purchase.

Wow. I'm with all the other people on here. Whichever developer thought that the cue button was important enough to take up the entire bottom of the screen needs to get fired. And how does a library scroller help anyone?? If I can't see the names of the songs the two buttons are completely useless. When you figure those two things out, you'll deserve 5 stars.

Rubbish. Thought I could actually see library on the phone. Can't. Also works while connected by USB but as soon as I disconnect fails to connect on wifi. Pretty basic and poor "remote". Hoped to have basic control away from decks but not good for that.

NO START AND STOP!!!!!!. I bought this for one reason. So I can remotely play tracks if I'm get stuck away from my desk. The need for a stop/start button is crucial. Why would you not put one in? Like, it couldn't be that hard.

Not worth for what you paid. Serato should add a master volume for both decks and a play pause button.

Zero Usability WiFi. Thought I could search tracks, load at distance, play-stop, do my animations at gig without being stuck behind the controller. NONE of those options exist, I want a refund !!!

Not worth it.. I mean to me $7 isn’t a big deal, but i would’ve rather pay $1.99 for this. Very limited options, and it all relies on your hardware anyway. I was expecting to be able to use this from a distance so I don’t need to be beside my setup the whole time but that’s not the case. To load songs, you need to use your computer screen view so you can see what you’re actually selecting. The app layout looks nice, but that’s really all I can give it.

No play/pause button?. I'm getting a refund for this right now. The fact that it has no play/pause button makes this useless to me. I'm a mobile DJ that likes to get out on the dance floor with the crowd and this does not enable me to do that. I'm going back to Virtual DJ. At least they got it right....

Great. Saved my butt.. Well worth it...just for instant doubles. Much easier to mount the phone on my mixer than finding a place for my ipad.

Eh.... So I'm trying to run this on an old iPhone 4, which shouldn't be an issue. Apparently it is. It runs just fine on my 5s, but wanted the iP4 to be a dedicated device for this program since it's no longer my phone.

Didn't Work At All. Tried with USB, wireless, and ad hoc with Windows 7, SL1, scratch live 2.5, and iPhone 5C with iOS 8. Saw success stories online with this config, but didn't work at all for me. Everything else works fine, guess I'll just use the keyboard.

Depressing. It seems like has everything that you need for and more but a basic thing as a PLAY bottom you're not going to find it. I don't get it. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
