No way in without subscription. I used to get lightning strike alerts and it was great to keep my kids safe inside when I’d get them. I noticed lately that wasn’t working, shrugged it off. There’s a big storm rolling through and I went to check the app, also thinking maybe I needed to update a setting for the lighting notifications but couldn’t get into the app. Upon opening the app was prompted to subscribe or do a free trial. When I tapped the button to not do the trail I saw the “continue” button and tapped it thinking I’d then be taken into the free site. Nope. I was redirected to the App Store to subscribe for $2.99 a week. There’s no button or bypass to get into the actual app without subscribing. I’ve seen customer service responding to others complaining of the same thing saying we can bypass it but there is no, single place that allows me to do so. I’m so disappointed in this underhanded practice to gain subscribers. If I had been alerted “hey, we’re going to make this a subscription-based app after this month to cover costs” I would have subscribed. But with this attempt at tricking people? No way.

Very detailed. I’m pretty happy with this app in general. It provides plenty of good data. The map features load quickly and are easy to use. I appreciate the clean layout and vibrant use of colors in all of the right places. It even offers a really nice widget with only relevant information. I will certainly recommend it. The reason for a lost star is that iOS alerted me the app used my location 67 times in three days. I certainly like the app being up to date but that’s a bit much. I wish they could tone it down a bit more or offer an option to run light gps. For that reason I opted to turn off the gps unless using and it doesn’t keep the weather up to date. Compromise I suppose?

Not that good.. If your looking for a free weather app that’s not already pre downloaded on your phone, then don’t get this! AccuWeather is a direct upgrade from the free version of this “free” app. AccuWeather tells if theres a warning in your area faster, most accurate and it tells you when the warning will end immediately. While the free version of this is slower and most likely less accurate, it doesn’t tell you when the warning will end immediately. AccuWeather will also tell you rain is near and will most likely start while you need to pay on this app when will rain start and stop. In conclusion this app is probably good, but all of the possible “good” stuff is locked behind a pay wall. Get AccuWeather if you want to save money and not spend money on a weather app. And the most important stuff on this app like tornado paths and wildlife stuff is locked behind a paywall. I would probably give this a higher rating if this app were not so slow and stuff is removed from the almost inescapable paywall.

Weather channel 5* beats this apps Full-screen pop-ads,. This would be a 5 star app if it werent for full screen ads that come up in seconds after opening. And weather details that slide open/closed/open/closed so cant read the forecast! Weather Channel app opens to beautiful scene, gives forecast and if scroll we can see radar, week ahead, etc. Sorry developers, you still after all these months cant get this NOAA app to function well. Instead of creatively having ads within the app page the pop-up ads cover full screen, often X to close ad is hidden, cant get ad to close. After getting to page the weather report that pops out of the right side goes away before you can read it, weather is gone and wont come back until you keep clicking, dragging etc. or close app and open again, but then you get another page covering ad again. Shame the app developers dont know how to build an app that has ads creatively in them like so many other apps. Deleted this again, I love the Weather channel app SO much better!

Great App…Needs Customizable Notifications. Airline Tower Manager here. Bottom line: I love the app. I even upgraded to the pro version. My wish is that there were options to choose which notifications I receive and which I don’t. As it stands right now, the only choice I have is to either receive all notifications or none of them. I’m receiving so many Clime notifications that I’m desensitized to them. Critical notifications are lost in a sea of non-critical information. I’d like to be able to customize this so that when I receive a Clime notification, I know that it’s something important based on settings specific to my operational needs. We do have an airline-specific app contracted through one of the major meteorological organizations, but the Clime app is easier to access and navigate quickly. So again, great app…please let me customize my notifications.

Nice features, forecast is way off and unreliable. This app is pretty good for live radar and the lightning alerts are great to have. I paid for 1 year of pro and will not renew. We are literally getting hit with the remnants of Hurricane Elsa tomorrow and the app says .25” of rain, light drizzle. My area is in a flash flood watch area (reported correctly by app) and is expected to receive 2-3” of heavy rain tomorrow. Relying on this app has caused me to cancel plans due to bad weather when there wasn’t (within 24 hours of plans) and proceed with plans and get drenched (app only saying partly cloudy 0% chance of rain the morning of). All this time I’ve been thinking that NC weather is just crazy and unpredictable and just watched the radar and made a guess for myself. In reality it was the poor management of the forecasts in the app giving me incorrect information. The app is great, if it truly worked and gave reliable information. I’ve used the app for 11 months now. I hope the developers read this and get things updated for the forecasts, I would totally renew my subscription if they would fix the forecast bug.

I have had this app for three years now.. I got this app because I thought just like the scanner I wouldn’t need anything else. I pay for the subscription and barely use this app. One reason being is because their is no iOS widget support. Yea their is a widget but it never works. Pay for a subscription just to have part of it flawed. Second reason is more of a effort could be made to provide information for local roads and highway’s. Local school closers and day care centers sports could all be made available for the price we pay not not some real time radar that we can get with any weather app. Third I am paying for something that doesn’t play along with my Truck, and agin the widget being always broken is lousy I also don’t think it’s half as reliable as the free scanner version I grew up appreciating.

Less Useful Than My Local News Weather App. I am trying to find an app that shows a more accurate radar, as well as tells me that there IS a tornado instead of saying there “Is a storm capable of producing a tornado”. This, however, is neither of them. On top of which, there are no real settings aside from changing between radars and locations. You could argue that I “Only had it for five minutes”, but I’ll return with “Because it only took two to figure out that there aren’t really any useful settings(or the lack thereof). Also, the radar looks like that cloud we all used to draw in primary school. I usually wouldn’t get this bent out of shape about an app, but we have REALLY bad weather moving towards us FAST tonight, and I want to be prepared. I want to keep an eye on the radar to see precise cloud movement, which my Local channel app almost does. I also want to click a bright red line and see if it’s a definite tornado, not if it’s a storm capable of producing one.

Map issue with latest update. I have one issue with the latest update. I rather like the ability to switch between modes using the new toolbar at the bottom of the screen. However when I select the Map button to view the full screen radar, the bubble with the current temp that appears on the map for my currently selected location covers a good portion of the radar right around the area that I want to view! In Map mode I want to view as much of the radar map AS POSSIBLE, not have a good portion of the map hidden by a temperature bubble!! I haven’t found a way to hide the temp bubbles. The only solution I’ve found is to map another spot on the map my “current” location and then pan over to the area that I’m truly interested in. Major fail!!

You have to pay a LOT of money to see anything useful. First off, this app has a great UI and it’s a great idea. It updates well and notifications are nice, but all the other features like hurricane tracking, etc, need to be paid for. You can pay for bits and pieces from $3/mo to $30/mo... no thank you. This app is only useful for seeing current weather in any location. This app does not let you see future forecasts unless you pay for it. This app does not allow you to track tornado paths unless you pay for it. This app does not allow you to track rain, sleet, hail, or snow unless you pay for it. This app does not allow you to track wildfires unless you pay for it. You know what does allow you to track all this without paying for it? Your local weather station. This app also says “Go ad free” a lot but the only ads on the app are for subscribing to all the features inside of it. Every time you open the app—ads. I have had to exit out of at least three ads begging you to subscribe every time I open the app. This app is crap. Thank you devs for making a completely useless and extremely expensive app. I will continue to google my weather from my local news station

New (and Subscription-Based) Not Better. In fact, the predictive radar is worse in every way since the rebranding to “Clime.” I hesitantly paid for “Pro” when almost every other weather app stopped offering predictive radar. Even Clime’s real-time radar is less accurate than others (who presumably also use NOAA data?). We live in Hawai’i where weather changes are frequent if rains are brief. We can often literally see and feel the shifts. But Clime does not. Nor does its longer-term precip predictions offer anything like modeling that is useful. The graphics are “pretty” but confusing and the lack of other weather data makes the app harder/slower to use on the fly, and less “valuable” than the free versions of several competitors, including local web pages.

Ads Recently Became Unbearable. I've used this app for a few years, now, and really liked it. The map is the best of any app I've tried and has been a go-to in times of severe weather. It was always ad supported, but not unreasonably so. Recently, though, ads have made the app so unbearable and virtually unusable that I finally deleted it. The app hasn't become cluttered with so much as crippled by ads. They're now lengthy full screen popups, and they couldn't be more annoying. For example, many are for games. I don't play games, but I'm forced to sit through an eternity of watching fish being eaten before I can return to the information I care about. That information is, then, typically displayed until I attempt to bring up something different, at which point the cycle is repeated. I'm sorry it's come to this. As I said, I've used and enjoyed this app for a good long time, and I tried to avoid this step. I even deleted and reinstalled it in the hope it was some glitch. It immediately returned to the same behavior, however, and I was not exaggerating when I called it unbearable. I'll probably reinstall it periodically in hope that the quality is restored but, for now, I have to move on to an alternative app.

Same problem as most weather apps. Layout good, radar is as excellent as advertised. The only issue this app suffers from is the same as many weather apps: when there is any chance of precipitation, as low as 3-4%, the app will authoritatively say “it will rain in X hours.” In fact, the app really tends to believe in its forecasts too much, to the point that it was insisting it was about to rain in 10 minutes and actually inventing a massive storm that was going to suddenly appear on the future radar. It was sunny out, and had been for most of the day. Whatever algorithm runs how the information is presented to the user needs more nuance. Most weather apps suffer from this issue, and while it is not a big deal (I just look at the expanded forecast for 30 secs), it does make checking the weather at a glance essentially impossible as I don’t know whether with confidence the “rain tomorrow” is an 80% chance or a 5%, it’s all just “rain” or “thunderstorm.” I’ll continue using the app, it’s great in every other aspect, it’s just a shame not even this app can escape these common issues.

Why change it, it was great.. This was my favorite go-to realtime weather app for monitoring precipitation and storm conditions in both marine and fire region environments. I just resubscribed and then days later the app updated to the new version which forces you to view the 5 day forecast on opening. What used to be a quick one button access to current changing conditions is now a three push operation. Nobody buys this for the 5 day forecast: theres 100 free apps that do this better than Clime. Please put the full screen map With reatime data back on top and put the forecast in a sub menu or secondary screen!!! I will find another app after my sub is up for checking fire weather and conditions on the water. I dont want to flip through the forecast before getting the vita in-the-moment information I paid for. Thanks.

Do not waste your time. The app should be good BUT everywhere you click they want to tease you into outrageously expensive subscription upgrades! In fact EVERY time you open the app you have to get by a screen for one of these baitware clicks where it says “continue” and you are signed up. If these popped up only the first time you use it, then maybe OK but these people are super greedy and unrealistic. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! My advice to anyone looking at apps, sort the reviews by the “most recent” as Apps change over time. In this case the NOAA app is an explosion of constant “in your face” subscription deal requests. One would expect professionalism with the “NOAA” name but it is far worse than all other competing weather apps. I strongly recommend NOAA fires the people behind this greed app and earn back your name. If you want to charge more for a “pro version”, go ahead but be clear about it and do not constantly ad-nag your non pro users

BUYER BEWARE Terrible - Bait and Switch - Not Free - Deceptive. It says it’s free in the App Store, but then you can’t even open the App until you sign up for a paid subscription. Really shady considering I think many people come to the app looking to track hurricanes that may threaten their lives and the makers of this app are trying to take advantage of them. Just do the right thing and list that it has a cost up front. It does have a ONE WEEK free trial option but that is linked to auto renew in 1 WEEK at $2.99 PER WEEK and I think the free trial doesn’t even include SHOWING the hurricanes anywhere, you would need to purchase the PREMIUM subscription for that, but you don’t find out any of that until after you sign up for auto renew. Also BUYER BEWARE, if you decide not to get the free trial and you leave the app, but then go back later thinking fine, I’ll just do the one week trial and remember to cancel in one week if the app is not good, the RATE HAS CHANGED to a 3 DAY TRIAL that auto renews in 3 DAYS and NOW AT $3.99 A WEEK! Super shady and sneaky. Most deceptive app I’ve ever come across. Seems like these people are trying to take advantage of people afraid of an impending potentially tragic hurricane and seems exactly like a form of price gouging, and just low low low business tactics. It’s incredibly shameful.

Just what I was looking for. Update: Another option I’d like to have is the ability to turn on alerts but turn on/off alert overlays on the map. This app presents all the information I’m looking for in a simple layout. With other apps radar is secondary, this app makes it primary but very easy to then get detailed weather info. Here are two improvements I’d recommend. Add selectable zoom levels for the radar at launch. The current setting is too focused and I have to zoom out to see the bigger picture. Maybe 50, 100, 300 miles out from location. Second I’d like the sunrise/sunset to be “smart”. After sunset display the sunrise time. After sunrise display the sunset time. No need for separate icons. Thanks for a great weather app!

This app has become a big mess.. So, apparently this app now has a subscription you can subscribe to when they have an already one time pay premium app. Why? Why would you do this? Are you getting rid of the premium app? If so, why? There was nothing wrong with that app. This just makes the whole NOAA Weather Radar apps a whole mess. Also, this app claims to be the only app to show all NWS service alerts and warnings on the radar. I'm pretty sure MyRadar, Storm, and many other apps show alerts like this, and show more alerts than what this app shows. I was really debating weather to shell out and buy the premium app, but these reasons make me not want to. Updates come in every 3-6 months and the developers apparently don't really care about the consumer. You guys really have made a bad first impression with me. This app doesn't deserve the stars it already has.

App tricks you into paying upfront. Downloaded the app, authorized the download with my fingerprint, then opened the app and was immediately prompted by another screen asking for my fingerprint, right after I said that I didn’t want to pay, that I just wanted the free version, they don’t clarify that the free version is 7 days free, and after that is paid. When it prompted me the second time for my fingerprint, I never thought I’d be paying a week later, since I selected the free version. I know they’re going to say “but it says on the screen that it’s not free” thing is, they use smaller fonts and on the bottom, making it deceiving and impossible to see at first glance. Also, NOAA is a government agency, pretty much the “Weather Bureau” (as you used to be called) you’re funded by taxes, literally “for the people by the people”, why do you charge people for an app, that only mirrors something that it’s already paid for with tax dollars, I know there’s app developers and support and everything, but the department doesn’t live off these payments through the AppStore, your department has an anual budget, so why, WHY, why charge people for something that’s already paid for, AND SUCH AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT!?

Gimme gimme gimme. This app does nothing but ask you to pay $20 annually on the free version. So, I subscribed a year ago and used it sometimes as I am in south fl and value emergency updates. Lemme tel you after using this paid app for a year and then being relegated back to a free customer, I found myself wondering why I ever used this app to begin with. the app is nearly worthless. The interface is terrible, too many features, too many requests to deliver notifications. I had to turn off earthquake and wildfire deliveries.. I'm in south fl.. I just wanna know when it's gonna rain again.. anywho. Neither the free nor the paid versions are worth any more than a honey badger in heat coming off a 4 hour stint at the Golden Corral. Prairie dogs and meerkats will continue for eons to mock and ridicule the developers of this app because all they gotta do to predict the weather is "walk outside"; And before you download or subscribe to this app you should do the same bc it's a much more pleasant experience, tbh.

Really like but needs 1 improvement.. This app works well. To bad most people can’t read well enough to see that the trial and pricing issue are ‘user’ based and have nothing to do with bad or misleading practices, sheesh, slow down and read, actually read. My one suggested change is to go with a different map service. I like Mapbox myself. I want more detail when I zoom out and Mapbox provides this. If I compare this app to the map service in my current weather app Storm from TWC, they use Mapbox, much greater detail when zoomed out on the same regions. Other than this issue, which hopefully you’ll consider, I’m looking forward to making this my full time weather app! Plus, the yearly fee of $9.99 which can be chosen during the trial, feels great. Reading AND understanding will carry you far ;)

I’m a long time subscriber and this is the best out there.. I grew very tired of how trashy and ad-filled the big weather sites had become years ago. I bought the original version of this because the radar was direct and to the point. This recent upgrade is outstanding, and I appreciate that the developer didn’t leave me high and dry like a certain big-name app did when they went to a subscription model. If you rely on a good weather app for the things you do, this is a very solid entry…for me it is the go-to. Yes, I’m a subscriber and I don’t know how the unpaid version is, but I’m also a software developer and guess what? These guys deserve to get paid. It is really hard to put out a good app. I sure hope it stays this way :)

Horrible. Who cares what happened in the last 30 minutes? Why do the loops begin in the past and end at the present. Forecast means future prediction, I wanted a forecast app not an “in case you were unconscious, this is what happened during your siesta” app. Also I cannot intuitively swipe between saved locations like every other weather app that exists. Did you make this app inferior so people will subscribe to a pro version that may or may not work intuitively?! I have tried changing settings, I have had them reset to default after updates, after it really didn’t satisfy my app needs anyway. It’s a big fat NO for me. Deleted the app after this free version was suggested after I paid for the NOAA RADAR PRO version app that purportedly is going away. HUGE disappointment. This app can’t hold a candle to to NOAA RADAR PRO and I’m certainly not going to pay for a subscription. Apple’s upgraded free iOS bundled app and its recent upgrades eclipse this experience.

Love This App. Love it b/c it let’s me look at the weather in other cities before I finalize my travel plans so I will know what the weather will be where I’m going and the outlook for several days which makes it easy to make decisions to still go or postpone due to possible bad weather forecasted. For example I was planning a trip to the Mountain here in Asheville, North Carolina and found that the weather was not going to be in my favor due to snow. First, I’m disabled and can’t take chances on being stuck somewhere I’m not able to get back home cause they shut down the highway when bad weather comes. Second, where I currently reside in North Carolina we get plenty of bad weather from snow, sleet, freezing rain and blizzard (due to nor Easters). I don’t take chances at home so why would I want to take chances somewhere else. I can’t take a risk of falling b/c of several medical issues that restrict my ability to get around (both knees been replaced and currently waiting on date for lower spine surgery) along with several other medical issues that restrict my ability to just go and take unnecessary chances. This app helps me make smart decisions that will best help me protect my health. Love it. It’s a 5 Star App. Highly Recommend you get it if you don’t already have it.

They separated basic functions to trigger more ads.. Was my go to for years and always told everyone to use it. Now you get spammed with ads so often it’s not worth it. I’m sure support will comment on how it keeps it free but you baited me into updating it with a notification on how the new update is so great with an amazing new ui, just to trick me into seeing ads spammed like no other app I’ve seen. Completely derailed the product. They’ve actually separated basic information just to trigger more ads. Disgusting. Gonna be a PR nightmare when active use and download count drops until they turn down the ad volume, and that’s if anyone is convinced to redownload after this mess. To the support who’s doing there job and gonna post a copy paste comment, I get it. These ads pay for your job. The the devs, I don’t even wanna imagine the meeting y’all had to push this through. You’ve ruined a product that could help keep people safe for greed. Despicable.

Too Pushy. The app itself doesn’t seem too bad. But I’ve tried it a few times, but after a couple days I get so sick and tired of getting “pushed” to subscribe to the paid version that I delete the app. We literally have a tornado watch right now, and while trying the app again I received a push notification….wanted to see what it had to say….it took me straight to the page to get the pay for subscription instead of weather information. Luckily I have other apps that take care of that. Needless to say I deleted it again. I’ve come to realize this is all about making a quick buck. I’m all for a developer making money off their creation. That’s what our economy is based on, but shoving it down people’s throats, and features here that you have to pay for are free on other apps, it just pushed me away. Maybe a more competitive price for this app would be a better idea-along with more advanced features to make it worth the money spent.

AWESOME!!. Wow!! What great graphics and info!! I already feel safer. We’ve endured 2 major floods, here in Robeson County NC, just in the past 5 years. Here in rural America, the weather is a major factor in what goes on , what gets accomplished on a day to day basis. Thanks people for a job well done! PS. We Natives Never worshipped the sun(son), the created,...We worship the Father YAH, the Creator. But, when colonialism took place, another belief was instituted, instilled,,FORCED upon the Natives. Our spiritual roots go all the way back to the Old Hebrewic way referred to in the Old Testament. For some reference; ‘The History of the American Indians’ James Adair, first published in 1775. On the other hand, see Alexander Hislop’s ‘The Two Babylons’ for some very interesting details of how the practices in Catholicism and Christianity are traced all the way back to Ancient Babylon.

Clime checks all the boxes. There are so many weather apps and I've been through them all, it seems. I've had a few favorites but even the best have had one shortcoming or another. Then one day I saw an ad on TV for Clime, which I'd not heard of. I gave it try and after a few weeks now Clime has become my new favorite — and this time I don't see any shortcomings. Clime checks all the boxes for me. There's lots of data and detail, yet the layout is attractive and uncluttered. That's hard to do! But where Clime shines is in the radar. The graphics are both attractive and informative without being excessive or looking cheap. I can tell exactly what's happening near me and what's headed my way. I can tell if it's just rain, or rain with lightening. And if there's lightening I can tell exactly where. This is important so I know when to shutdown and unplug my computer equipment. I have just one silly issue with Clime. Too much is crammed into the name under the icon on the home screen. Looks bad. So I fixed it! I created an Apple Shortcut to open Clime, and named the shortcut simply "Clime". I even saved the Clime icon to my photos and applied it to the shortcut. Now Clime sits on my home screen looking exactly as it should! Any chance Clime will add a MacOS version?

Very satisfied with this app!. Clime really seems to have everything. There are very few, if any, questions about the weather that I can’t get answered by clime. They have everything you would want from a radar and more. I’m never caught off guard by the weather, and I live in Oklahoma (IYKYK). Not only are the features amazing, but I recently had a glitch in the app, and Raslin on the support team was able to troubleshoot with me and solve my problem very quickly. I was expecting slow replies because of the weekend, but they got back to me so quickly & everything is smooth sailing now! I definitely recommend this app. Another favorite thing of mine is how they are constantly adding more features to the app to satisfy whatever you might need to know from the app. My only complaint would be that I think premium can be a bit pricey, but if you use their app enough I think they are always offering deals.

Worst weather app I’ve ever had used of others I have. I have 6 weather apps and all do great with tracking to your precise location other then this app I am a insurance catastrophe adjuster that lives by the weather and reason I have so many various apps for those who probably use this app do not travel as I have to for the catastrophic events I work with every time I leave my home location and stop at out of area location this app just gets you close to the actual area maybe two hundred miles away so I cannot rely on this app and I never had made a comment on an app until now The last thing also is if you pay for this app you cannot cancel this one and only app so before paying be aware no other apps I have of subscription with has this problem either so what this means your on a one way street purchase but cannot stop any renewal like other apps I feel like I just donated good money for nothing and now I have to call apple billing to help get rid of this app in its entirety

Somewhat disappointed. I had high hopes of finally finding a great weather app when I found this and downloaded it. Based on what I was seeing (and liked) I paid for the yearly subscription in Aug 2020. Since then, I have been underwhelmed by the radar map timeline, which I use a lot and this function is important to me. I love the rest of the app features, the layout, colors, and detail are awesome. It’s also very user friendly in my opinion. But the radar map timeline functionality is just frustrating and I have found almost all other weather apps to be much more accurate and has the detailed timeline I want, without having to zoom out and see 1/2 the country. So after 5 months, I decided this was the deal breaker for me and cancelled my subscription (which I will still have the premium features until my subscription runs out in Aug). If before then the functionality of the radar map timeline is improved then I will most likely resume my subscription. But I honestly can’t pay for a service that ends up being a disappointment and I have to go to one of my free weather apps to see what I should be seeing on Clime.

Your taxes already paid for this. Do people realize that NOAA stands for National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, aka the U.S. government? Whenever reviewers point this out the developer responds that they are not affiliated with NOAA, just using its data. As if that’s somehow better. Please understand: this developer has taken a publicly funded resource that serves a critical public safety purpose, tacked on a bunch of pointless features and ads to create a product functionally identical to any number of other janky rent-seeking weather apps, and now demands subscription fees for access to something that’s supposed to be free for everyone. I get that subs are the business model now, and truthfully I don’t even mind ads or one-time purchases as compensation for value added. But it takes a special kind of arrogance to repackage a public asset you didn’t create and then charge the public a recurring fee to use it. If you can’t figure out how to turn a profit selling a product someone else paid for, your business should fail.

Virtually useless without a subscription. The app potential is one of the best weather apps out there. However, it’s virtually useless without a pro subscription, a fact they remind you about with any button or feature you try to use. So much clutter trying to get you to subscribe that there is very little area in the middle with actual useful information. Subscriptions are not cheap, either, esp. considering they are interpreting publicly available data from NOAA. Plenty of less expensive or free options out there that can get you the info you need. They may not have the cool presentation, but is that really worth the price of subscribing or the hassle and annoyance of overwhelming nagware? [UPDATE] upon reading the developer’s response, I stand by my original review. Yes, there are free features, but there are so many nags that come up with practically any button you push that I think there are better free apps out there (and even lower-cost paid apps) that have more functionality. A weather app is not useful if only the middle 1/3 of the screen shows map data with all of the other clutter. You press virtually any button and you’re reminded there is a subscription or that feature is only available with the subscription. So, you shouldn’t call it a “free” version, you should maybe call it “basic functionality trial”

Nice app. Excellent app, the way it presents the data is hands down. I like the little 24 hrs precipitation forecast box that pops right on top of the current temperature on rainy days. I also like the map animations showing rain drops, snow, or mixed, this really helps figuring out what’s coming your way without having to use the map key. In addition to the Radar, there are a variety of maps, my favorite one is the precipitation forecast, it lets me see 26 hrs in advance when rain reaches us, how intense is and how long it lasts and the wind stream map. The daily conditions presented in graphs is one of my main requirements when I decide for a weather app, which is why I like it so much. Another great feature this weather app has that I’ve never seen in other apps of this kind, the main menu parameters switch according to weather severity, whether there are very high winds, or large amounts of rain, they’re shown first in the row of parameters. I only wish I was able to customize the parameters’ position in the main menu or just toggle them off; for example I personally don’t really care about pressure (never), air quality (never) and UV (care only during summer days) and they’re in the way. Great app!!

Can’t access Help feature outside of Apple MAIL app. I was ONLY looking for some help today. I can’t communicate to you through the help function because it ONLY links to the Apple-Mail-App and will not let me chose an App to send an email from. This is the MAIN reason for the 2 star rating; even though I like the app most of the time. The reason why I want to contact you is because of the ICONS. They have drastically changed and now I do NOT KNOW what each one means. There needs to be a “KEY” published somewhere that updates if there are changes. I understand there are pictures for: Rain, Snow, Partial Sun, Full Sun, Thunderstorms, Clear Sky’s, etc. However, there are so many slight variations on the forecast right now that I am beginning to feel like it is pointless to look at the Forecast page and just see the Advanced Precipitation map..! If you will HELP!! I will be able to come back with a better rating and the review I have wanted to give this app, until I saw the constant slight changes in icons..

James Capps. Excellent weather forecast for the local area, however I don't believe it should be named Clime as the word "Clime " would indicate to the average individual that this report is about climate change. Although in the past it was established that local weather is not the overall climate. That was stated by the individuals advocating the idea that global climate change is due to man-made carbon emissions. At the time that this idea was being cast about by Al Gore, allowing him to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, I was living in Silicon Valley being stationed there with the Air Force. While the climate is changing and could possibly be caused by man-made carbon, no one can positively prove that is actually true, yet the public has now been lead to believe that there will be a near extinction event of humans if we don't spend trillions of US dollars to correct the alleged problem. Unfortunately, whiles mankind seems to believe that we have a good grasp of the science regarding. the issues regarding clim change, that is sheer nonsense .

Not a good start. I just downloaded this app because my old weather app just changed drastically for the worse. Reading these reviews makes me think the root data provider for all these types of apps just changed how it does business. That being said, I signed up for the one week free trial that will automatically renew after the free trial is over. When signing up, the price was stated as nine dollars and change a year. What they don’t tell you is that is only one of three options. Nine something a year, four something per quarter and three dollars a week. Guess which “plan” you are automatically renewed to? The three dollars a week. If you aren’t paying attention, you will have spent the price of a year subscription in under a month. This information was hidden in the entire sign up process. I wouldn’t have bothered to look if Apple hadn’t sent me an eMail spelling out the terms. I think there must be quite a few complaints for Apple to do that.

UPDATED Paid for 2 years. I received a discount rate to stay with the app, which looks like is the new normal cost of the subscription. Every time I try to contact support I need to use the IOS Mail app and strictly that app to get your email. Even on your website. Why is it when I storm is happening the radar only a shows the past 40 minutes and will no longer show the future prediction? I have changed maps and settings and I don’t understand why this timeframe is the only option for me? I really enjoyed finding this app a couple years ago. The features are great and the radar was accurate. More accurate than than the hourly/daily weather reports. I have unfortunately stopped my subscription as other weather apps are more accurate. As of late I got a notification telling me “tomorrow” would be the warmest day in the past 3 days. However the current day was warmer than what “tomorrow” showed. I truly love the features of this app but I want accurate weather in regards to temperatures.

Falling.. Clime weather radar used to be a very good app whenever a storm has caused me genuine discomfort or i needed to know if any storms id need to flea the area because of were coming my way clime weather radar was always there for me snd up until recently it did its job just fine up until bout a month ago where not only did it entirely lose its ability to tell me accurately where storms were at but almost every single time ive been in a storm for the past month maybe two sometimes clime weather radar doesnt even detect stormy weather yet 😁 like theres been literal times where the thunder is roaring and lightning is crashing into trees and i need to check how large the storm is and approximately how long it’ll last recently but then clime weather radar claims theres no storms within 100 miles also where is the tornado tracksr i bought premium almost a year ago make up your mind dont be like hmmm… we created these new features that could someday save someones lives… but i think it should cost money.. your fans; but we already have premium! clime: Ugh-uhh-UGhHhHhh but i dont wanna make it a premium feature lets create more subscriptions and not inform the customers that what previousLy was the equivalent of your previous subscription is now 50 dollars but its okay you can keep paying us for the old one thats worthless now cause every update we push just goes to a more expensive subscription

This is not a free app. I downloaded this and when I opened it the first time, it asked me to turn on location services. I said no. The next thing that pops up is asking me to turn on location services. I again say no. The next pop-up tells me this is a 7 day trial and you the have to buy the app. Mind you, I still haven’t gotten into the app. That’s when I deleted it. Developers: you should just charge for the app up front, since it’s not really free. Get rid of the ads. You also need to drop the push to turn on location services. If I have them off, it’s because I know what they do, and if you think by asking a second time in a different way that you will get a different answer, you’re just wasting my time and making me extremely skeptical about what you use that data for and what else is hidden in the app. At best, this is deceptive advertising. At worst.... That could go too many ways, and all are nefarious.

Better than the full website for fast information. I have used the ‘full’ NOAA website for three decades to track hurricanes and watch for local bad weather. I have not used the app for hurricanes, yet, but the local maps for the radar loop are problematic, even with internet service, on the iPhone. They are almost useless for accurate local data on tornadoes (still great for tracking larger storms and rapidly moving fronts) due to data limits, particularly heavy local cell system usage during tornadoes. This app trims links to the massive database at NOAA for the power of a shorter ‘history’ (4 passed tracks to 7 on the full website, or 35-40 minutes instead of 70 minutes), but the ‘loss’ of tracking information is minor and FAST current data is more useful during sudden weather and for driving. It was invaluable during a recent trip to New Orleans to time leave times and plan stops to avoid pop up thunderstorms. Nothing but good things found with app over NOAA main website and local news weather apps (lots of adds with the ‘locals’ and websites are problematic to find using iPhone when traveling).

Awesome!!!!. Let me start out by saying this weather app is awesomely GREAT! I live in Florida where the weather can be crazy unpredictable… i work outside on a golf course where weather patterns are important…this app does it all and is accurate!!! I just recently came across this app and I’m so glad I downloaded it to try it to compare it to the app I recently was using(my radar) and prior to that I was using weather bug… I def already like this app better than both of those and I’ve only had it a little over a week now! I love the whole interface of the whole app… the widget is even cool!!! it’s easy to use and to get the hang of with finding everything…. The radar is nice smooth and cool …full of cool features and little added stuff like rain falling where applicable on the radar… the whole app is just great, cool and easy to use! So happy I came across this app and it has taken over and become my number one and ONLY weather app!

Erm... What?. The developers should be happy I even rate this app 3 stars. First of all, the UI is laggier than the Weather Channel app's! I thought I knew true radar lag. You can't view past radar, which you can easily do for free with many other weather services. Second of all, the notifications are.. clickbait? There was an air quality alert for my area last night, nothing major, right? .. Right???? Well the notification displayed with the name "Air Stagnation Warning," with a red mask icon next to it. That could easily cause panic. I check the AQI, and the PM2.5 is just a little bit higher than normal. Does that really warrant a notification like that? Also, that isn't even the definition of air stagnation? Can you atleast do some research before attempting to scam and trick people.. 🤦‍♀️ I mean, the UI functions, and the forecasts are atleast somewhat accurate, so I guess it earns 3 stars. Wouldn't recommend, but you can use it, I'd give it that. Don't waste your time nor money on this app; you can use other, better apps like the weather channel and accuweather, yahoo weather, etc, with more features for free.

Used to be good, now its not.. Before they got sooo pushy on their subscription, it used to be a very good weather app. First they took away rainscope and air quality and other stuff like that, I didn't really care at first. Next they took away really good features like the 1 hour interval, and to get it back, you have to pay their stupid subscription. Honestly, I was starting to get sick! And the subscription was just too much for a simple weather app that is supposed to keep you safe. But now, I guess the owner of this app is so interested in money that he is cutting important features and making people subscribe to their subscription. Honestly, sometimes its not even that accurate! One time it was supposed to rain and it said I was in the middle of it and it was just a simple dark cloudy sky and it wasn't even raining yet, and not until 46 minutes later of this forecast! I would rate this app 5 stars before they started getting pushy on their subscription! But now, I would rate it 0 stars. I just rated it five stars so it would show up on the comments section on the app store. If you don't want to basically pay for an app for very important features, then this app is not for you. I hope they better this app, because they just lost a user here.

Changing forecast loop time. I use the paid pro version and am a northern California contractor. It rains a lot where I live. Knowing what is going to happen in the next 24 hours is important. I’ve been using the clime app with the primary layer being the advanced forecast percipitation layer. It runs in a 24 hour loop with a higher frame rate for the first two hours. Very well thought out and very accurate. Sometimes I’ll flip to the radar layer to look at the previous 30 minutes of activity to see how the app is handling the activity of incoming squalls. No complaints, the advanced layer colors add to the ease of finding where and when it will be wet. There’s also an adjustable opacity slider if you don’t like the default level. One little quirk, sometimes when I open the app the loop can be much longer than 24 hours, but only does so for one cycle. Can’t seem to find the adjustment for such a longer loop. Obviously it’s possible to have a longer loop (up to 50+ hours in some cases.) would be a cool feature to have a toggle increasing the loop time for advanced precipitation forecast.

FABULOUS FORECASTS & SPECTACULAR GRAPHICS. There’s really nothing to do with the weather that CLIME doesn’t cover nor any type of Weather Alerts & Forecasts that aren’t offered from Forest Fires to Tornadoes. When CLIME replaced the original weather app I was a little apprehensive but they’re really quite accurate and the Radar & Satellite imagery is spectacular. However, I believe I like the ability to pin the map with any location/locations you wish to monitor & receive Forecasts and Alerts for Weather and/or other hazardous conditions the best. The previous version of the app wasn’t as user friendly & had a few bugs with some downtime, not a significant amount but CLIME so far has surpassed the prior version in these areas as well. They’ve also added new features such as tracking the number of Lightning Strikes and adding lightening bolts to the map graphics so you can follow along other events such as Forest Fires & Avalanche Conditions obviously not all geographical locations will need all of the Alerts offered but it’s nice to know they’re available.

Severe Weather App Review. Being in Puerto Rico, it is necessary to have a severe weather app for the voracious Atlantic hurricane season. With the recent hurricanes Irma and Maria, this app had to be in handy. However, this app is full of ads that pop up. Usually I close them, but this time around when hurricane Maria was closing in on the island, I left the app running continuously, while watching the dark clouds and squally weather coming off of the Caribbean. Little did I know, an advertisement popped up while I was gone. I came back a few hours later to find that the phone was acting up. I got the notice that a virus had been encrypted into the phone. The awful advertisement opened by itself and virused my phone. Little did I know that the eyewall was an hour away and my pet bird was outside. I had no way of knowing because of the viral malware, and the winds picked up to 130 before I knew it and my bird was gone. Please find a way to filter these malicious ads out of your application, because this situation was completely unwarrented.

Deceitful subscription process - very inaccurate - can’t control notices. I reset my phone and forgot which weather app I used. I forgot how much I detested this app and loaded it. Once again, it failed me on multiple levels. It hounds you to subscribe. Fine! But it is VERY difficult to select NOT subscribe and oh so easy to accidentally hit subscribe instead. And then you THINK you are subscribed for a year. You double check things, and nope, they decide you pay for a month first. So what do I get for a subscription? No ads. No additional settings. Nothing extra. There is a setting to be notified for “nearby storms.” I disable it and I get no notifications for any storms. I enable it and I get notifications for storms TWO THOUSAND MILES AWAY. That is NOT nearby. The system’s temperatures for my range are often 10 degrees off from EVERY OTHER SYSTEM. The system often reports clear when I am cloudy and it often reports cloudy when I am clear. The system has predicted rain on MANY occasions when others have predicted none. And we are in our dry months and in our third extreme drought season. I appreciate support reaching out to tell me how NOT to subscribe. But they completely missed what I said. It is deceptive. And to support, if you want to get accurate weather for a location, then use the weather monitors CLOSEST to the location just like others do.

Very Good app. I like this app. The layout is good and it is easy to find the information I am looking for, whether it be current conditions or weather forecasts. One aspect that bugs me, however, is when bringing up the radar map, it defaults to the beginning of the loop, which is sometimes 30 minutes old. I would prefer it to default to the “now” position - that is what I am most interested in when opening the app. Also, I found the temperature for my area to be off by about 6 degrees compared to my outside temperature gauge and my other weather apps. It is nice that I can submit a change, but I would prefer for it to be a little more accurate without having to tweak it. Additional Comments: At the suggestion of the author, I tried the advanced precipitation layer and I found that I liked it very much. It opens at the “now” point. Still would like to see the radar open at the now point too, though. One other feedback comment: With the icon indicating a chance for rain in the hourly summary, it is very hard to actually see the rain. The rain drops should be made to be more obvious. One should not have to look hard and squint to see if there is rain falling from the dark cloud or not.

Why discontinue an app without warning?. I bought the PRO version of the NOAA radar app probably 5 years ago now, and like so many people in these reviews it suddenly started kicking me out right when I tried to open it. I tried to delete the app and then reinstall it, but this Clime: NOAA weather radar app was the only one available. It looked great! Then I installed it, opened it up, and instantly was asked to pay $10 a month for this? I did a free week and it was absolutely not worth $10 a month. It’s cluttered, so I can’t find anything I need, it’s notifications are not helpful, and the radar doesn’t work the same way as the old one. And all of that aside, I find it incredibly disrespectful of the owner (who originally owned the other app too) to just completely discontinue the old app, say absolutely NOTHING to its customers, and then offer an app worth a substantial amount more than before, even though customers paid for the original one! It’s SUCH a lack of customer service and respect, and it’s definitely not worth it for me to keep. Do better next time.

Good but basic.. Why are no synoptic charts available in the app. For all local weather I use the Synoptics rather than listen to the forcast I do my own forcast. I watch Phillipine weather but haven’t been able to get Synoptics?

Great app. Easy interface with useful features

Remove subscription.. I loaded this app but then it showed it was a 7 day free trial with a subscription automatically after that period if not unsubscribed. I cannot find how to unsubscribe from your app on iTunes or my device. Can you assist please.

Hurricanes near Australia? I don’t think so. Developers: you may be interested to learn that hurricanes do not occur near Australia. They’re cyclones here. This isn’t the US. Go back to school and learn something. Preferably somewhere outside the US where quality of education is acceptable on a global scale.

Old vs new Noaa Rain Radar. I have/had the old “NOAA Radar” and the new one is heaps of upgrade adds. I won't upgrade to the new one but continue to use Windy

Seriosdude. I have three weather apps working in our house - and this app seems to be the most consistent. Not always totally correct - but far more consistent than the other two by miles!! We live on the road - so consistency in weather forecasting is vital! The BOM and rain parrot are all over the place - even in 'actual temperature reporting'

Trying to hard to make you pay. Had the App for about 15mins to check it out and every tab you press is an Ad for their premium package. Which is $13 a month. Trying way to hard to push the premium service.

Great app! But not too good. This app is amazing and I love it but all I can say is that NSW is not having good weather there are storms and rain everyday and it is just annoying sometimes but in the storms they are very bad for example we have a severe weather warning today I hope it’s not too bad THIS WEEK WEATHER Wed ⛈ Thu ⛈ Fri 🌧 Sat ⛈ Sun 🌧

Italy Rainfall Map. Problem with map. Won’t show rain where I am and it is raining heavily

Family Sharing should be allowed. As a family who loves to track weather we are discouraged to purchase separate subscriptions to use your app. Hope this becomes available in the future.

Lovely weather we’re having.. Great app informative and easy to translate.

Easy & accurate. Easy & accurate information

Fantastic- By far the best weather app I’ve had. I tried the pro trial out and was very impressed. I new it went to a subscription service so I stopped that in my account settings and purchased the pro yearly subscription. This app has been amazing, well deserving of 5 stars. I always get a rain alert 30min prior and dead set it has always rained, no matter where I’m located. The different map overlays are great and the advanced precipitation forecast map and even the basic have just about always been spot on. Now it’s got the widget for your iPhone Home Screen which saves time as I only need to open the app to get more detailed information. All in all this app is a great weather app and it doesn’t deserve the one star ratings that it’s been given by people not reading the information correctly and have no clue how subscriptions work with apple. Well done guys and I do appreciate the regular updates on the app keeping it working with IOS and bringing new features. Cheers.

I got this while still getting used the app (1min after download) so…. This review is saying ignore the rating, will prob change later Edit: hi, no questions, pretty good overall though! It’s easy to understand, although would recommend putting the premium features in a separate location so you know what you have acces to and don’t accidentally buy things but I’m not sure if that’s happened before, anyway, have a great day!

Simply wrong.. I work away from home working on a mine site working fifo. I think it’s nothing but a scam how after the trial ends instead of doing the right thing and reverting to the free app you get signed up for the paid version. As I work out of town this went on for months with out my knowledge. Sure it’s probably written in the fine print this takes affect but that doesn’t make it any difference from being a rip off. I would have recommended this app and possibly would have upgraded once I returned home from site but not in your life now. There are no doubt many others tricked in the same way as us older people have this little thing called morales and trust that makes us easy victims to scammers

Ads are annoying. Ads are annoying

Scammers. The app forces you to sign up for a trial with automatic payments starting after one week BEFORE you can check the app to see if you like it. After finding it is quite a simplistic and unsophisticated weather app I decided I do not want to pay for it. BUT there is no way to cancel the subscription immediately in the app. I assume I have to wait 7 days before I can cancel? I in which time the developers are hoping I will forget and get at least one automatic payment. Totally unethical. Should be reported to administrators at Apple.

Good app. Is amazing, you can see how the storm move and the timing that it gonna come.

My feedback. It helps me know what’s coming and it’s about

Stopped working again. Went to check the app this morning and it has just gone to a black screen! Deleted and reloaded but still does not work. What gives? This has now happened again. This app is useless if it can’t be relied on.

Helpful. It actually works and right now it’s raining at my house and it said that it is I give this a five star rating

10/10. The reason this app is a 10/10 because it is helpful for one of the dangerous natural disasters nature can throw at us!

Question. Why won’t the weather show in real time on map

Overcharging. Although you get the basic version, you will be charged $4,99 every time you check the radar. Moreover, you will be able to see just 30 min forecasting weather. 😤

Very detailed weather report. Rainfall Thunder storm User friendly

Mother Nature knows all and controls all…. But this app sees all. I am very impressed with the uncanny accuracy. I can literally set my watch by it. We are on a farm surrounded by farms so the weather is our master. The level of detail is incredibly useful in planning. Well done to the developer/s.

Weather. It is a simple system. You need no more than that.

Very nice. Simplistic and beautiful app I really like it, I need rain warnings for business unfortunately it’s not very detailed no projected mm of rain or graphs to work from I think that if you add this to the forecast days click to expand or something. Sorry but Willy weather offers 10x more information at a free cost unless you don’t want ads I’ve paid for their app just for their work, I can’t justify the cost of this app if it really offers no more than other free apps other than cosmetics. Thanks.

Weather. I like this app because I wanna know about the weather so I can tell my parents and this app is the best because I could see where the rain is.

How to cancel trial. Hi how can I cancel the trial before the 7 days are up.. had tried looking in settings on iPhone no avail.. thanks :) 3 days remaining

Works every where. Works every where

Rain prediction wildly inaccurate. The app looks great - and the rain charts are beautiful but wildly inaccurate. It says it’s raining when it’s not and it says it’s not raining when it is. Tried for a few days, stayed in one night because it said rain (and it didn’t rain). Left the washing out because it predicted no rain and it rained 😅

For free. It's not bad I had it before on another I phone. Found it quite good. But. This is an iPad Should be the same. The old saying you get what you pay fore. I will buy once I pads got credit. On.

Good and accurate.. Screen is within minutes of rain on the ground in my location.

Not happy. For starters you’s just take the money out of my bank was just doing free trial and didn’t realy want your app because I don’t think it is worth the money you want a week for it I want to unscribe from but can’t seem to find the button so no I’m not happy with your app

Hate-worthy app. This app isn’t active yet it just asked if I want to change my location services to “always” rather than “while using app”. So why is it running in background in the first place? The company making this app are CLEARLY scamming. Read the negative reviews people.

Great weather app. It’s a great weather app, ads are a bit annoying though

Best app ever. It works really really well with tracking your location. Just get the pro version because it has a lighting, tornado, flood and hurricane tracker. Please download it.

Weather radar free. It is great I get all info I need it needs to be feed for longer so see where rain is

The best weather app ever!!. Far out I’ve never seen the best weather app for our iPhones ever period. I really love the UI display. I’m a mthly subscriber and I think it’s well worth it. Thank you and keep updates coming and fix bugs. 🍻

Flow. Could have a better flow of data for the radar, I.e. more times for the radar to swap through instead of 30min, 3 hours, 10 hours and 24 hours

Highly recommend. Loved it the best App highly recommended

Nice app combining radar and rain forecast for 24 hours. A really handy app for viewing radar for coming storms without having to change the radar view distances, it just displays the entire area viewed on screen dynamically, be it a small or large area. Add to the radar a visual display of forecast rain for the coming 24 hours (intensity overlayed on a map), a 7 day weather forecast and weather warnings sent to the iPad for your address... makes this app a must have.

It’s alright. The radar element is pretty decent and you can track events such as storms fairly accurately. All round, pretty handy. The weather reports for your location on the other hand are an absolute joke. It’s either “Yep, this is precisely the data”, or “You claim that it’s raining, but I assure you without doubt that it’s clear skies, and a balmy 36C in the dead of winter”. All the while you sit at the nearest window wishing that you could be out fishing.

You can’t use it without signing up for a subscription. You can download this app but can’t use it unless you sign up. Of course you can always cancel the subscription but I think they hope you will forget. Just click bait.

Bit of a con.. This seems to work fairly well. However, after getting the app I see that after the one week free trial, it is charged weekly at $4.99. Seriously? That is about $260 a year. I know you can change the settings and pay about $30 a year but this is your default setting and I think it is in the hope that some people won’t notice until they have made payments. I am all for paying for apps but not when providers try to fool us. Most people are loyal to a good honest provider. Change the default settings.

Deceptive in taking away features. I paid for this app; it had forecasts, then the developers took the feature away, and charged tor the same features i used to get. So i had to pay twice. This is misrepresentation!

Weather. This is a great app because it tells me exactly what I need to know.

The weather app climb. Climb is a wonderful app because it helps you in case of tornadoes or anything else like a bushfire nearby, and you need to help yourself by getting the app because if you don’t please get it because if you don’t get it by 2024 or 2025 because something might go wrong because koala’s might go extinct so please help the world by getting the weather app climb bye I’m in a coma and I live in Langwarrin six Apple Court and I also live in 48 the tropics so please help me and I’m gonna die next year and I’m six and I’m turning seven on 5 October and it’s 2023 bye

Best for local weather. I have found this app so far to be the best for localised weather rather than just an overall picture of a wider landscape

Trop cher et pas vraiment un essai gratuit. Beaucoup d'autre app sont gratuite ou presque pour le même service. L'essai gratuit ma couté presque 5$ can. !!!!

It’s a scam. You literally get nothing without paying way too much a year. Like it’s useless.

Broken widgets. The widgets haven't worked in months. Please fix them.

Money Grab - “Free” option is too annoying. Let’s be absolutely clear: This app is a money grab. The so-called “PRO” features are in your face all the time — you can’t avoid seeing them. If you choose to use it as a “free” app, it will be SOOOO annoying. You will simply uninstall it. So ignore the developer comments/replies saying it has the same features for free as the old app. It’s true, but you will be super-annoyed continuously if you choose that route. I also use an app called MyRadar. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty good. I forget if it had an initial cost, but so far they have avoided the temptation to go the subscript route. I’m going to keep using MyRadar and get rid of CLIME. I suggest you do the same.

you have to pay. don’t use this because you can’t do anything without paying a ridiculous amount of money to see WEATHER. this is unnecessary. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

Garbage - Trap to get Money. This app is a trap to get money. They offer to cancel but there are no instructions HOW to cancel. You are left to your own device. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. There are plenty of FREE APPS out there. This is a follow-up review to the ongoing obviously misleading comments by the developer who provides erroneous information in their defence for negative reviews about their money grab scam. We are told that one can cancel if they go to the App Store and in their Accounts under Subscriptions there they can cancel. This is not true. There is no « CANCEL » option. The only way à CANCEL option will present itself under Subscriptions is if they extorted money from you already. In other words, you gave in to their scam and provided some payment despite all attempts to not use their app. This Clime app shows up in My Purchases but not in Subscriptions. I called Apple Support and got a Case Number Reference #. If you download this Clime App, you will have to go through the tedious process of calling Apple Support and complaining. This is a deliberate attempt to make fast cash through ambiguous and ambivalent non-existant procedures. You have been warned. Do not download.

It’s wonderful but I would appreciate if you can add this…. Hi! I am a young boy who loves to see the future and past of the weather on a radar just like a metreoligist. But I tried to find any app with good accurate radar for past and future. When I first saw this, I blasted out with excitement! I begged my parents to download it. When I first opened it, I loved it but then, it did not help a lot. It only showed me a little bit of the past and for the future, it was NOT FREE!! 😭 I was devastated and now there isn’t any app with a future and past radar. So is it possible to do something like show the future? I really want to know if there is an upcoming thunderstorm with severe rain! I love them! I would appreciate your help so I dont have to pay. THANK YOU!!!!!

Review…. Too many Ads and NO, I don’t want to Pay for everything.

Très informatif et juste. À recommander à tous

Not accurate.. Thankfully I checked weather network. Was having an outdoor yard sale. This all said the store would pass further North. Weather network had accurate data that said the store would pass over us. Currently it’s pouring while on the app my area has no green (rain) overlay. Not sure what I’m paying for really.

Not pleased with the change. Not as good as the pro app it replaced. You can not forward due to no links on the map to do so. Pro had links across the bottom of the page.

Annoying alarm. Once the alarm goes off it’s impossible to stop it. Even deleting the app won’t stop the alarm. What an annoyance.

Thumbs down. Current app status implies CarPlay and free app, neither of which exists. Apple should change the app status as current store entry misleading - 100% useless and unusable unless lofty commit to buy made first.

The free version is useless.. I wanted to see the weather radar for the upcoming hours and can’t do so without subscribing to a recurring fee. Who cares what the previous hour of weather was like? How is that a useful insight? I deleted the app within minutes of downloading it because it is useless without the expensive subscription

Warning: you will be charged weekly. I unknowingly was charged $4.00 per WEEK for this app since downloading it in the spring. I thought it was my iCloud subscription and didn’t think much of it when I saw my credit card statement. To date they’ve charged almost $100 and I’ve never opened the app. Unbelievable.

This app lasted a total of 60 seconds on my phone. Bombarded with subscription demands at almost every button click. Deleted.

Snow depth makes it perfect!. I thought the app was decent before but now that they’ve just added snow depth it’s pretty perfect! I originally downloaded the app so I could get push weather alerts for thunderstorms (the area I lived in had crazy summer storms). I really like that feature however it NEVER seems to actually ding or make a noise when I get a notification. But now I’ve moved to a new province and we get crazy winter storms , and my kids daycare get cancelled if there is a certain amount of snowfall in the forecast. So I hated that this app never showed HOW MUCH snow was predicted. But I wasn’t about to delete it as I’m otherwise happy. But they just updated that feature so I am super happy!

No fire. There is no news of wild fires in Canada

Great Tool.. Very nice to have the thunder graph/alerts, wind forecast map with the directions and various other option when working outdoors for festivals, keeps us and the equipment alert and safe from disasters.

App change?. I used to have Noaa or weather radar app with premium subscription for less than $2 for 3 months, now this app is in its place on my phone and want $25 per year, how did this change??!! I still have the paid subscription until Feb 2022, Why has this changed?

Nah. Cash grab

In my face too much. I just get the app installed and carefully navigate past all the link-traps set, just to try and avoid being dinged with a renewing subscription, just to find out if the product Is worth my time . Within 60 seconds of finally trying to make sense of an underwhelming weather map, they get in my face requesting a rating and a review. OK here it is; Offer a 7 day free trial no strings attached ! Once I see if you are worth the expense a decision can be made free of subtle pressure tactic. Until then, all I see is a whole lot of feathers and not much chicken.

Radar not working. App was working fine on my iPhone 11. Then randomly crashed. Radar won’t update. Deleted app and reinstalled and it still won’t work.

Version 4.0 Fails. A totally black screen is all I see when I updated to version 4.0.Nothing else. Nada.

Clime app. I love this app, information well organized and presented!

Like. I like the warnings haven’t watched weather tho

Disappointed. Well. I’m quiet disappointed I have purchased the app as it is obviously not that accurate.

Amazing app!. Downloaded this app because my bf recommended it. And I absolutely love it. It’s so detailed and goes into depth and it actually tells the truth compared to others. Highly recommend!

Works well. I am a farmer and I use this app often so I can see if any hail or something nasty is coming my way. Heads up to put vehicles away into buildings and lockdown animals for their safety. it’s very handy to have to watch for storms, etc

Slow. Not sure if its only the free version but its really slow doesnt update very well. Notices come in at end of day, sometimes shows warnings but when i open the app nothing comes up

Climb - This REALLY is terrible. there was nothing wrong with the old app THAT I PAID FOR to get the pro version and now Climb wants me to sign a subscription service on the new app? SCREW YOU for taking my money and trying to force me in to something else… also every time i open the app its filled with annoying advertisements and screens that I never got on the old app. Climb is a piece of garbage.

Good customer support. I mistakenly thought this app was not truly free because I failed to see the "x" in the corner of the subscription splash that opens with the app. The devs wrote a really polite response explaining this even though I called them "scummy" in my original review. Upon further inspection, this app is pretty good and the devs are clearly even better.

Amazing customer service. Just a breeze to deal with and helped me out when I had some questions.

Terrible App. I don’t see where there’s anything useful that’s free with this app. All it does is direct you to subscription pages. So many other free weather apps that are so much better.

Weather. It has never led me down the wrong path. Very nice to have this app.

Wow. This is terrible

Scam. The app dosent give you any useful information if you dont pay

Add music for different types of weather?. Excellent. Always room or Rome, hehe, for magic. ;). Hehe. P.S. Add music. Mm. People love music in winter weather, & non-winter weather, a lot, lot. Hehehehe. ;) P.P.S. Respect, all of, “Mother Nature”. ;)

INACCURATE 4 OUT OF 5 TIMES USED. DESPITE WRITING TO THE APP DEVELOPERS OVER THE LAST SIX MONTHS, THEY HAVE IGNORED ALL INFO SUPPLIED. THE LEVEL OF INACCURACY IS BEYOND UNDERSTANDING! Your reply to my concern is an OUTRIGHT BLUFF, because you FAIL to mention ALL the emails submitted to you and the emails sent to me about how you were correcting your system. In SIX MONTHS you have MADE NO CHANGES that affect ACCURACY of INFORMATION PROVIDED! Stop “FUDGING” or telling “PORKIES” to the public. Your App is not applicable and DOES NOT PROVIDE the ACCURACY you state in your pp Blurb!

Beware. This is a free app that automatically bills you after 7 days. No free version. That’s an immediate uninstall for me.

Much better alternatives out there. Worst snow storm in years and it says it’s cloudy with 0% chance. Interface is messy.

Nice. Nice app best weather and graphics among 6 apps I have used. Please make the price to upgrade jut a bit cheaper please

No way to change From Far to CEL. No option to change to CEL

Takes too long for recent radar. Great….except every time it loads it goes from last time was open…no matter how long ago…would be nice to start recent

Not very nice. This apps not great but seems to be super at charging the user right away. The app needs to be extremely clear on what is free and when billing starts. Over all very poor

Light Rain during a hurricane. Our entire province is out of power and you say there is a 70% chance of rain. It’s been 25mm an hour and it’s flooding. Worst weather app ever.

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Awesome NOT!!!. Ads used to run at the screen bottom in a narrow banner. Now it throws full-screen ads that often force your click! I took this app off my phone!!!!!!!!! IN RESPONSE TO THE DEVELOPER RESPONSE: Thank you for stating what is obvious -you just wasted "ink" and time for no good reason. I was not unaware that there is a"premium subscription" that gets rid of the ads. The problem lies in how the ads are now run with COMPLETE OBNOXIOUSNESS! I don't oppose ads in general when they are run as they used to be run on your app. The problem is that now they blow up full screen, instead of running discreetly on a banner at the bottom of the screen- which left me free to either continue checking my weather uninterrupted or clicking on an ad that truly caught my attention. It's a cheap way to force the clicks and you just lost a consumer who was loyal in the past. And after reading other current reviews that offer comparisons between what you offer and what other apps offer(Storm, for example), I see I'm making an appropriate choice. You must be getting paid per click. Why else would you ruin a perfectly good app with this style of ads display. You've gotten greedy. Tsk tsk tsk. Too bad. I believe you'll lose more customers than you'll gain.

Awesome except for iOS Widgets. This app is wonderful and gives me all the features I need especially with an annual subscription. We rely on the Advanced Precipitation Forecast over all other apps. My only feedback is that the widgets always seem to error out or glitch and show days old data or nothing at all. Location sharing with the app is set to Always, and the last time I tried fixing it by deleting and reinstalling the app I lost all of my saved locations and settings. Hoping that this issue can be fixed, as the convenience of the widgets is an important feature to me!

Could be great. Interface is nice. Customize settings, especially good for getting only alerts you want. Widget is nice, too. Lacks “big picture” storm tracking, which is especially useful for tracking tropical weather systems. The problem is that the developer makes several different apps and you have to subscribe to each one to get different features enabled. There is no one app offered that puts everything you need or want to know in one place. If you’re interest is only in your own local weather and you don’t mind paying a subscription, this does give useful info like dew points, “feels like”, and hour by hour forecast. It looks decent, much nicer than the Storm Tracker app by this developer, which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all.

Usefulness…. This app is kinda good, but it gives me so many false warnings that I stop listening and I have to look because I am afraid if I don’t water would run through my window without warning otherwise, also the app is good at seeing things but it doesn’t want to give you life saving tips without you paying, so you either pay, or can’t see when or where a storm is going or going to hit, that includes tornadoes, you gotta rely on the news for that, and I even watch the news….good app, but false calls, the part that makes it worse is when it alerts you about a tornado warning but when you try to see where it is so you can know how to be safe, it wants you to pay. I will be honest though the prices for yearly are kinda good.

Always trying to sell you something!. This app is so annoying because you have to be careful where you click every five seconds or you will either subscribe so their paid membership or click on an advertisement. They don’t even let you see the Doppler radar past your current time without paying. And every time you open it up it tries to trick you in to clicking an area where they will subscribe you for 20$ a month. The Weather Channel has the option to pay also for more features but they are not constantly trying to get you to click on the “right spot” to trap you. This is one of the most annoying weather apps I’ve ever encountered. So much that I wrote a review and I hardly EVER waste time writing reviews, especially bad ones, however, this one was very much called for.

Pro Version works Great! Use it daily. The Pro version with annual subscription works great for us. I especially like the 14-day hourly forecast and the ability to turn on/off weather notifications by location, and I keep about a dozen locations that correlate to travel routes related to our RV travels. If you want ad-free or need the full function, just sign up for the annual subscription. To us, it is a great deal. I have never tried the free version, but I can say the Pro version has always been very accurate, easy to navigate, and fast & responsive.

Very good, but slow to update and dodgy on temps. This app does everything it says it will do. However I’ve had a couple of occasions where the app’s temperature readings both current and predicted don’t agree with other sources for the same location or my own thermometer. These disagreements are wide in scope and long in duration — 7 - 10 degrees high or low, and they can last several days or more. So I can’t trust it for vacation planning, for example, without a double-check — something I learned by experience. It’s off by 7 degrees right now for my home location. For alerts, it will leave old expired alerts in place on the map even as it talks about new alerts elsewhere. So while it works very well and I’m a monthly subscriber I cannot recommend this app wholeheartedly until NOAA fixes these issues.

The ads make it impossible to use. I do really like the app, the layout, and the weather. It’s absolutely lovely. But since you can’t do anything without an ad popping up, it’s extremely frustrating to use. An ad to open it, an ad to switch to forecast, and an ad every time you want to go back to the forecast from a different page… And they are not just pop-ups, but are the ones where you have to watch a video for a certain time before you can close it. It’s a beautiful app. But I’m not watching ad after ad to get to the weather. I have a few other weather apps, and I almost never click this one because I know it will be annoying. And $10/month is too much for weather. There are too many other options out there.

I can’t imagine it’s worth it. Apparently I signed up for a weekly subscription to this app without knowing it, which is already shady, and when I checked my credit card statement I saw that I had been charged $2.99 plus tax over 8 weeks. I didn’t even have the app on my phone! It took me a while to figure out what “Pro Features Weekly” is, which is how it shows up on your credit card, but once I did, I downloaded the app to see what it was and it it even had banner adds! $2.99 a week ($3.17 with tax) doesn’t even remove the banner adds? Whatever “pro features” are costs $164 a year with tax. I can’t imagine that there aren’t better options out there for a weather app that aren’t trying to pull an opt out scam. Fool me once, shame on them, fool me 8 times, shame on me I guess. Be careful before you click around on this app people.

Really wanted this I have to be the one. Was super excited when I first explored this app, told my wife and kids as I was so excited to monitor snowfall at our house. I live in the mountains and I’m huge into snow sports so like to have accurate readings of what’s going on and going to happen. some features are cool like snow depth but where I struggle is a simple forecast of what is coming and how much snow is expected. I found myself always turning to the free weather channel app because it’s so simple and gives me an estimated amount of snow coming. this app is so complicated in terms of simple weather prediction a ended up not using it all winter even though we had our biggest winter on record.

Ruined on June 28, 2023. I LOVED this app before the last update! Literally used it multiple times every single day because it worked so well. The update on June 28, 2023 completely ruined it and took away ALL value for me. Now there are full-screen ads that have timers for 15 seconds before you can close them. The new format, after waiting for ads to run and figuring out how to close them, is crowded and confusing. But the worst and fatal flaw is the mandatory wait time to even take a quick look at the radar. I’m deleting it right after writing this, sadly. I guess it wasn’t making enough money and now they’re forcing your hand to subscribe by making the free version useless. Now it’s just garbage taking up space on my iPhone. Bye bye Clime, I’ll miss the old you!

Live radar viewing issue. I keep track if the weather very closely for numerous reasons. Planning daily errands, family outdoor activities, outdoor chores, mowing g, gardening, motorcycling, boating, etc. I don’t quite get why the live radar choices are either past or. Future…. Why not just live? Then when the option is chosen it progresses so fast the it’s impossible to watch the activity (like rain)with the time. Makes it difficult to really figure out what …… sort of like tapping your head and rubbing you belly at the same time. ….. gets a bit difficult. Has become so frustrating I’m seriously considering going back to using the free app or the local news ones.

Great App Despite:. I love this app, it helps me in many situations before I start my day or if I’m in the middle of the day. The one thing I find very inconvenient is the fact that I have to pay to see if my life is in danger, if there’s a tornado coming towards my house? Better pay $30 so I can find out, wanna find out if I’m gonna give myself lung cancer by going outside? Better pay $30 so I can find out. I understand the concept of earning a profit, but that’s already occurring from downloads. Regardless of that, if you really feel it’s necessary to charge people to see if they should be seeking shelter, so be it. But I’m not going to hand you money for something I can find out for free somewhere else. Thank you, but no thanks…

Used to be great. This app used to be my go to for monitoring the llc weather. Within the last two weeks or less I have noticed that now it is plagued with ads. On a game I don’t mind ads, but when you live somewhere with volatile weather, waiting for an ad to finish playing is losing valuable time. Not only that, the radar of late has been way behind. For instance, right now it shows a squall line ten to twenty miles to my west, but the squall line already came through and knocked out the power twenty minutes ago. So I’m giving three stars because it used to be five, right now it’s one and I’m hoping it’ll get back to being a five again. So disappointing!

Canceled My Subscription. I have used this app for years but just canceled my subscription. The new version is pricey and continues to default to the wrong city regardless of location settings or manually entering the city of my choice, normally where I live. Consequently when the app opens I get the radar for my location and the text for a city that is far enough away from me that it has a different climate. This renders the app pretty useless to me. I made the mistake of taking the annual subscription rather than the trial since I had been so happy with prior versions of this app for years. But the subscription is not prorated so I have lost my money. Bottom line: even if you have used this app before like me and been happy with it, test drive the new pro version before you subscribe.

Older App was better & Developer Responses misleading. Used to use the App. Was awesome, then they changed it & not in useful ways and you have to pay for the less useful version. They also neglect to tell you when they say you can use all the basic features of the Clime app free, technically true though it’s so difficult & frustrating to try to access them will all the Ads & game ads which incredibly difficult to close out of. After 5-15min of fighting with these you just kind of throw in the towel, so not worth it. It would have held integrity & trustworthiness if their responses were more forthcoming & the app was invaluably useful. Would have no problem paying a well earned $30/yr subscription. As I read thru the developer responses can’t help but wonder…what happened 🤔

Consistently Inaccurate. I don’t know why people say it isn’t free. Minus a few features I have yet to pay for general rain information. Although it gives a general idea of the weather with some accuracy, it consistently is off by several hundred miles. What I mean is that it will predict my town as being in the middle of a storm with heavy rain fall when in reality the system passes several hours south of us and we may see some overcast but no rain at all. On occasion it will be almost right with its forecast but for the most part it is what I call “3 star iffy.” But definitely free minus a few features and ads aren’t so frustrating. Just close them and then view the weather....the slightly inna irate but generally ok prediction of the weather.

Weather forecast are better than local. This has been a wonderful help for living in the Country. Thanks for the great information. And if you ever need an eye in the sky I’m a storm chaser. Did work for 2 local weather stations but didn’t pay well enough for even my expenses. If you need someone in this area 25 miles W. OF Wichita KANSAS. ANYWAY YOU PROVIDE GOOD INFO SOON ENOUGH TO BE READY. I’ve been in 5 Tornados including the one that went through McConell Air Force Base and then hit Andover KS. just some info , I decided to find them before they found me. You all are great and thanks for the important updates. Keep up the great work!

What worse can be said. The hybrid map feature was neat, showing us Disney World real land layouts and weather. Any app with full screen ads just aren't worth it, unless it's once per day, this is showing ads for its own upgrade (which is a SUBSCRIPTION?! really, just charge once, I know weather data can be pricey but let's stop this loop of paying media companies for jacked up rates. Also cover the costs over time like every dev used to do instead of subscriptions.) In the end we used it for FL radar which can't be predicted, rain is guaranteed every day around 3-5pm, like the central regions of USA so it was only good for showing 5min delayed radar that it might be raining over top of you. Also customizable alerts are needed in all weather apps. Something like "Flood Warning" is worthless here, can't turn off just one category so disabled all notifications.

Pop up ads are too long!. I used to really depend on this app to check my weather. Since the update, every time I click on a different screen, a full page ad pops up with no way to exit for about 20 seconds. The full screen pop up ad doesn’t give an X until after you press the dashes, or fast forward sign, then it either goes to the App Store or goes to another screen and you have to watch someone play the game the ad is for until the x finally shows up. 20 seconds is way too long to fill my whole screen watching someone play a game I don’t want when I need to check the weather. Usually I have about half a minute to check the weather and I get frustrated and just don’t check the weather. I’m looking for a better option. This one is now bad.

Full of dark patterns. This app is not actually developed by, for, or associated with NOAA. When you first open it, it asks you to either start a 7-day trial or purchase a $20 subscription, and has a disclaimer that the trial will autorenew-- there's no obvious way to exit, and it won't let you into the app! If you try and go back to it later, it will work, but you will constantly be interrupted by fullscreen ads to upgrade, or dialogs to download their other apps. It wasn't like this before; I used this app to help plan my way through storms when I drove across the country. I don't what changed for them. All of this being said, this app is actually useful but very annoying and from the responses to other reviews the developer seems 100% fine with that.

Great App. I think I use the NOAA Radar App more often than most people. We live in Hawaii, and our Island is known for frequent rains and Hurricane landings. I don’t understand the writers on past reviews, saying “it’s not free” or “doesn’t work at all”. I’ve used this Free, very user friendly app, with all information and radar viewing in my opinion is Excellent. They even send me e-mails, to confirm what their radar is showing. They have been 100% accurate in telling me what’s coming at us. We live 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean, so we are notified often a storm, hurricane watch, or tsunami is a threat. NOAA App, THANK YOU!!🌤⛈🌙☂️🌊🌈

Like it, but accuracy is good for a laugh.. For the most part, I really like this app. It usually does what it's supposed to, but sometimes it doesn't. Occasionally a temperature prediction will be way off. Like tonight it says it will be 39 at 7 pm, 32 at 9 pm and 39 at 11 pm. Possible? Sure. Likely to drop 7 degrees then go back up in the middle of the night? No. So far the off predictions have been so off it looks like an obvious glitch and I throw them out. But it makes me grateful that there are other free weather apps out there so I can get a more accurate forecast somewhere else and ignore (our laugh at) these ones. Update: I got a response from the support team and have shared more detailed info with them. Hopefully this will be resolved soon🙂 very impressed at their speedy response!

Too annoying to be useful. I'm sure this app offers a lot. But in the first few minutes of use it froze twice, necessitating shutdown and restart. It constantly bombards me with ads and popups—unacceptable when trying to access urgent weather information. The developers responded to a similar criticism by saying one can eliminate the ads by getting the paid version. My question to them is, why would I consider giving them money when the trial version is so buggy? I made the decision to delete it when one popup opened a browser window displaying a virus alert. I don't know whether a virus is even possible on an iPhone, but the idea that an app in the Apple Store could be susceptible to malware is my limit. I advise you not to waste your time.

Wonderful!. Your app is just about as useless as the rest of em. Don’t understand why you even show radar, forecast, OR even current status. They’re NEVER even close. I know you don’t have the ability for real time but you can’t even correctly tell what it did 10 minutes or an hour or 25 hours ago. My 9 year old niece can draw it with a crayon more accurately. Anyone can do better with a wild guess or just “spin that wheel” or throw a dart while blind folded or any which way I want. The only thing I like about your app is the bright colored icon. Oh boy! Just give up and close the doors if you can’t do any better. I wouldn’t trust it now for the time, let alone weather. AND it can’t get within 100 yards of my location. I’d hate it if someone was counting on this app for a rescue. They’d have a long wait or die. Sheeesh! You blew it...

Scott. When the interval between radar images was 3 minutes the app was very useful but the 3 hour interval it recently changed to makes no sense at all. Why would anyone need to be reminded of the the weather of 21 hours ago every minute AND not care about the weather of the last 3 hours. Why was this done? (Insanity) CT I accidentally flag locations all the time just trying to move around the map. The slightest touch will flag an unwanted location and then you can’t easily delete it. With work you can stop notifications but only once was I able to find a ‘delete location’ and it didn’t work!

No way in. I tried using this app but like lots of others, I got swept up in the tsunami of prompts trying to lite me into a trial. With all the confusing moving parts, multiple press-here buttons, obscured fine print and no way that I could see to get to the “free” ad-supported app I thought I was getting, I’m giving up. When apps resort to tactics that are clearly designed to snag a certain percentage of users into paying for a subscription, at least for a few billing cycles, it goes all over me as a marketer myself. If you have to use carnival-barker methods it tells me that you don’t have a product that would sustain itself on its own merits. Uninstalling as soon as I hit the ‘send’ button on this review - probably the 3rd or 4th I have ever written since my first smartphone. I owned the first model iPhone Apple made to tell you how rarely I bother with these rants.

Quality degraded. Not going to pay for advertisers’ content.. I used to rely on this app to provide the most accurate current and predicted weather conditions for free. This app used to be helpful for personal safety during hazardous conditions and sporadically for travel/activity planning. Now, I am bombarded with pop-ups requiring subscription payment for previously free features. Your numerous current sponsorships should be compensating you amply enough to allow you to continue offering this public service product for free. Unless you restore previous quality, I shall delete this app and seek weather information elsewhere. You lose, and your advertisers lose as I will no longer even occasionally see marketing content. I am so disappointed to see these changes to your once-trusted and valued app.

Great app but needs rainfall amounts in summary screen. I am an outdoor enthusiast and professional ecologist, and check weather regularly. Just switched from weather underground. Dark Sky is intuitive and accurate. My only real complaint/ suggestion is to incorporate predicted rainfall amount into the daily summary view. This information is available for each day, but hard to see multiple days at once since you need to click on each day and open the expanded view. There is a huge difference in 2 days both with 100% chance of rain, but one with 0.01” and one 1” predicted rainfall amount. Incorporate this info into a more accessible place and jump from an A to A+

I think you guys should also do advisories when it comes to like any weather stuff. I think you guys should also do advisories like where I live. We had a winter weather advisory a couple of days ago and I never got an alert for it. It never showed up on the app and that’s sad. That should be a permanent update that should’ve been right along with a watch and a warning and advisory should also be in there as well. Any advisory doesn’t matter what advisory it is as long as it’s there just like any watch or any warning is there the advisory should be there to

Love/Hate. My trusty weather app when it works. I don’t know if mine updated and now it’s weird though.. so we’re on Tornado Watch, my husband’s phone got the notification but I didn’t. I checked the app, we’re in a high risk area but mine showed no warnings besides lightning danger where my husband’s showed all the warnings. Mine finally kicked in and showed them but I’m a stay at home parent with no storm shelter so I need to know right away. When it’s working for me I love it, when traveling I get local notifications, can see storm movements, and report better accuracies in local weather- like no it’s not drizzling there’s heavy rain. Including Local pollen count would make this better.

Cash grab, no value for immediate severe weather info. If the developers had as much concern for turning out severe weather info as they did in generating revenue, the product would sell itself. The radar images may be high resolution images, but the radar views they are based on are blurred low-res layers, of no use in seeing detailed storm imagery as it is approaching you. Radar animation loops… a few frames at 10 minute intervals, which suddenly jump to 5 minute intervals for just the last 2 frames… do any of the developers really have any idea how people use a weather app during severe weather outbreaks? Even as half-baked as the app is, you can’t get to any useful info without being goaded for subscribing to premium subscriptions every time you tap on the screen. This app is a FRAUD!

Why does my location show the wrong city now?. This is my favorite weather app. I have a few because my little town is kind of a microcosm by itself so I take the best 3 out of 5. This app used to be super accurate, even showing my house temp at pinpoint location when it was different than town. However, within the last month or so it started showing Aurora instead of Bennett for the house location. I don’t care about Aurora’s weather. Tried to reinstall but still Aurora at my house and Bennett as the town location. Had to delete it finally and get a different app. Maybe I did something to make that happen but can’t figure out what. I already miss it 😞.

If it ain’t broken don’t fix it. This application has been, by its new posture, broken and no longer is wonderful. It was, out of several weather apps, the number one on my iPad’s Home Screen and is no longer. One example is my location is covered by a “temperature” and I cannot remove it Most importantly the detailed accuracy has been compromised with hourly information that is not updated once it is set which applies to the radar as well sooooo not dependable The five stars above belong to this app before the team damaged it beyond repair and because of that reality today: ⭐️ only one and that one ⭐️, for the $ ain’t worth it

Still accessing my location after I deleted the app. I downloaded the app during a severe storm outbreak. Access was limited to “ only when in use”. I deleted app because I was only using only my local weather apps ( which do not access my location data when not in use) I noticed the location icon was and is still always on and the app listed was the clime NOAA app even though I had deleted it the week prior. I re-downloaded the app to make sure I had selected the download and remove from App Library button. I again deleted it l, I even turn off my location completely but still even over a week later the location icon is still on and lists the climeNOAA app as the app and is still constantly accessing my location. How do I get this off my phone?

Almost Always Inaccurate. I’ve had this app for awhile & the forecast is so inaccurate 90% of the time so I don’t see any reason to pay for the upgrade. Right now the forecast says “Clear” but the sky is covered entirely w/ storm clouds- it’s thundering & I’ve seen lightning twice. The most common current condition it pulls up for my town says “Patchy Fog” which never makes any sense. The only reason I’ve kept it on my phone is because I can see the radar which is beneficial since the app obviously isn’t using that to gather it’s info. I didn’t want to even bother complaining but this is about the 10th time this summer when a storm was expected & I’ve gone to the app for details/helpful ANYthing & today has just put it over the top. How can you expect people to pay when the free version doesn’t even deliver...

Pay for what the government gives you free!. Yes, folks, these grifters take free public- no tracking National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration data (NOAA), provide it through their app which adds heavy charges and Lots of Data Theft they’ll no doubt sell to the highest bidder. Yes, friends, you can get tracked and monitored and pay big bills for what you could get for nothing, but hey, where’s your sense of being ripped off!!! Just open your favorite web browser and get the data these folks charge you for, plus lots of additional goodies - low altitude, high altitude, even reports on solar weather and where to see the Northern and Southern Lights dance free. Keep your browser secure with a good VPN and even tracking companies are out of luck ! And you can watch satellite views, air quality and warnings of weather threats free of charge - orr pay for uhh, uhh -WHAT’S THIS RIPOFF DOING IN THE APP STORE ????

Next level. Started using WU for about 10 years ago to track weather conditions and historical data for major construction sites. When the App went mainstream it was by far the best ad based weather app. The recent updates to the function was difficult to navigate because they do give a lot of information. Almost to much, but the recent update to the radar are next level details. We rely on this app when we make plans to drive over the mountain pass in Colorado and it has always preformed well. Give it a chance and you will be amazed at how much information you can get from a ad based free app that can do circles around the closest competition.

Not Great. NOAA stopped supporting their app I paid for years ago and told me this app is the replacement. I am not interested in yet another subscription service so I tried the free version. There are so many ads to click out of before you can see the radar it’s very frustrating to use. Then when you click to close some of them, it changes your point on the map. Additionally, sometimes when I open it, the radar is from the last time I used it, not real time, so it will show me (for today’s example) what was happening 87 hours ago, but will not ever update to show me the current radar. Unfortunately, I’ll be looking elsewhere for a more reliable app (which is sad because I loved their last one).

Good Design But Not the NWS Forecast. I chose this app and paid for the year subscription because I thought it would give me the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast, in addition to the radar, since it has NOAA in the name. The app is well-designed and has a lot of nice features. However, when I compare the NWS forecast for my location to the forecast in the app, they aren’t the same which is disappointing to me. I got rid of my old weather app because I felt that the weather predications it gave me weren’t as good as NWS forecasts. So now to see that this app is also not providing the NWS forecast is a big disappointment, especially after I paid for the year subscription. I guess I should have looked into it more before purchasing.

Lots of important detail but keep receiving updates from old location. The app has some great features, and I really like being able to see storm paths with predictions of precipitation for many hours ahead (up to 2 days). The severe weather alerts are great, too. However, the settings could use more options to eliminate unnecessary or irrelevant updates/notifications. I keep getting alerts for my former work location, over 100 miles away from my current location, and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop them. I only have 2 saved locations, and both of those have alerts switched on, but I'm still receiving alerts for this other location.

Interface is too busy. Not sure what’s happened to this app over the years, buts it’s far too busy. Yes it shows how the storm is moving for the last short timeframe, and if that’s all your looking for, I guess it’s okay for that. But there are far too many things on the screen to make it pleasing to use. You click on things and it pushes signing up for the premium version. There are unusable and grayed-out widgets all over the side screen. Not sure what the various colors mean on the map (turquoise, light pink, purple). You can’t click on them to see what they mean. The location references a neighborhood I don’t live in and I can’t figure out how to change it. The bottom 1/3 of the screen has stuff that is selling the premium app. It’s just too much noise with very little value in using the app.

MyRadar app is above and beyond this. We wanted an application that would warn us of severe storms in our area and we thought this was the application for us, particularly based on the sheer quantity of reviews shown, we were wrong. The application is trying very hard to be software as a service with a subscription-based system. It is certainly not worth the money as you cannot even customize some of the most basic features in the program. We live in a landlocked state here in the US, and we cannot even turn off the hurricane tracking alerts. While some people in those states may find those alerts very useful, since the hurricanes never reach us as far as Missouri the alerts are irrelevant and unnecessary. There should be an option to simply turn off the hurricane alert since that is one of the big selling point of this software as a service. It feels like they are just throwing features at the wall to see what sticks so they can justify their price of $10 a year. Have had this for three months until we got tired of the hurricane alerts waking us up in the morning. Finally decided to look for another app and found one in my radar. So we are eating the $10 for this app and moving on and not looking back.

A great app for the weather!. I have used this app my whole life and it has done me well! Weather NOAA Clime has showed me where storms are and whether or not I should worry or prepare! This is a great app that I recommend to anybody who would like weather reports. That having been said, I do wish for any new users to know, that sometimes it will glitch, and certain types of forecast (Snow cover, and cloud cover specificity!) Will not show up right away, or will waver heavily. But, after a few seconds it does go back to normal. Overall, (I hope I’m not overstating this.) I think it is a great app for checking the weather.

Frustrating Experience. NOAA Weather Pro has been my “go to” weather app for several years, having paid for the subscription, and have found it to live up to its meteorological reputation. However, recently the app has begun crashing immediately upon opening, leaving a black square where the weather map should appear. I have tried every known fix, lastly resorting to deleting the app and reinstalling it To this last resort I, had qualms, fearing what ultimately happened, being required to pay another subscription fee. I even clicked on the “restore purchases”, but it didn’t recognize that I had already subscribed before. What can be done to restore my frustration level to its previous satisfied level? Sincerely, Lyman D Spencer Sent from my iPad

Charge after deletion. I downloaded this application for one day. It’s an ok weather application. I subsequently decided to delete it as I felt I didn’t need it for a subscription of 3 dollars a week. However, even after deletion I was charged 7 times. It took me a while to realize this was the case since I live abroad and don’t use my home country’s bank account that often. So a warning that this application automatically signs you up for subscription during your free trial. It does warn you of this. However, even though you may delete the app and never look at it again, they will charge you unless you log into iTunes and look at your subscription list. This seems unreasonable if you aren’t using the application. TL;DR application will still charge you if you delete it before free trial is over. You need to go on your computer to cancel the automatic subscription even during the free trial period.

No - again ❗️. Sleazy app trying to get one tied into a subscription model ——- DEVELOPER RESPINSE: 8h ago Hello! Thank you for review. A subscription-based pricing model ensures that you get the most efficient and highly-functional apps for lower costs. We are sorry if the proposed subscription plans do not meet your needs. You can always check out our other apps or, even better, keep an eye out for sales in the store! Best regards, Support team ——— RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER’S RESPONSE: It’s not the subscription model, rather than implementation of the model. If developer truly believes its app is the most efficient and highly functional, then let users try it out for free for a week with no strings attached (don’t ask for a credit card upfront to then sneakily charge a subscription to those who may forget to cancel) and if it’s as developer claims, users’ll happily, voluntarily sign up.

Horrible App (Useless App) DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This weather app is one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen you have to pay just to see some of the most basic and important features needed for a weather app. You literally have to pay just to get alerts when there’s severe weather. Like that’s a life dangering thing and they make you pay just to get it. You can’t even see where a tornado is without paying like your life could be in danger and it says please subscribe to see this. I recommend MyRADAR they have some of the best weather notification summary’s I’ve ever seen. They also have highly detailed radar. While there are some features that you have to pay for they have the life saving and basic things needed for a weather app. I can’t stress this enough don’t download this app. If you want a great weather app download MyRADAR.

ALL about the up-sell. Going to be honest, I deleted this before I really got into it. I have MyRadar which I paid for and love but its info is sometimes delayed so I thought hey, why not get the info straight from the source! Before I could even use the NOAA app though, I was accosted by pop-up modal advertisements (can’t continue until you feign excitement and click something,) one of which was an option to pay to stop the advertisements. No, you can’t sell me mafia style “protection” from your ads because I have options. No, I don’t want to upgrade, you haven’t even shown me you can do anything yet. I paid to upgrade MyRadar long ago because they first proved themselves and then offered me more features with an upgrade. I may pay to upgrade it further because there are things they’re adding that look interesting but this app is a completely different model. Not ‘buying’ it.

Pretty good app. I like the app in general very much. My suggest is to include a LEGEND page or pop up, that at a glance shows the different icons and what they mean. Without having to go into the side bar for setting parameters. Sometimes you just want to be reminded what an icon or feature does and is used for, and at a glance. Also, there should be some instruction on what some of the actions of the icons signify. Like when an icon is touched and it disappears. Otherwise some of the features are fantastic. My suggestion is to have a home page for each user, that will always load with a set of preset parameters. It kind of does this now I think, but not consistently. So to recap, it just needs more user friendly controls.
