The applications PDF Expert by Readdle was published
in the category Productivity on 2013-12-03 and
was developed by Readdle Inc..
The file size is 129.67 MB.
The current version is 6.1.6 and works well on
9.0 and high ios versions.
The update fixes bugs and provides general performance improvements.
If you like the update - please leave us a review.
The true reason to own an iPhone or iPad and Mac. Syncs PDFs across devices including notes and highlights when you use iCloud. Doesn’t need to download and upload the entire pdf file every time you make a notation. Instead it appears to just sync the highlight to the document saving bandwidth and battery life! The best thing that has came to the world of apple!
Keeps crashing over and over. Hasn’t been stable since the iOS 11 update. Even though I’m on 11.1.1
This developer got so greedy by removing editing feature and forcing you to pay extra $10 on top of $10 when we first bought the app. We originally had the edit function. The so-called new edit feature is not brand new feature. It's just superficially changed. Edit is just edit!
After using it countless times to sign docs (OMG soooo much easier the. Docusign i used before) I finally pulled the trigger and bought expert version of it. Not that I even really need to change text to often when on phone - but the app is so good and so perfectly integrated into Spark email client that I am sure I will start to find other way to leverage these features for my work (disclaimer I use this 99% for work with a very high email and document signing work load - not sure how much benefit there is for personal use )
I was issued an iPad, against my will BTW, for my job as an inspector. However, in using fillable PDF forms, PDF expert has proven to be highly useful and has not failed me. I like that I can create multiple job folders, copy, paste, move, and email locked and unlocked forms. It has made up for what I hate about iPads. I only wish I could get this for Android, a real functional tablet.
Update 2: This app continually asks for a review even after having submitted a review(and updated it.) The last thing I want an app to do is pester me for information. Update: new color tag feature is useless. It's near impossible to see the difference between a tagged and untagged file. I use tags to cycle between finished and in-progress proposals, and now that it's just this tiny pastel dot, I can't even tell its there when staring at 15 sheets. Something like the bottom corner or something and colors with more saturation to make them pop is a near requirement to make this feature viable. I'm asking for an option between the two if anything! I do my entire job's paperwork through this application. Quotes, Submittals, and miscellanious. I now use my Apple Pencil and iPad Pro with my son to teach handwriting and drawing using the pen tools in this app as well. Always room for improvement with new features and such, but mediocre as it stands. (App does harass for a review once a month or so.....)
Best app out there for viewing PDFs
This app ONLY LET SIGN NOT TO EDIT. To edit the PDF file they are asking for another $10 for an upgrade.
Very erratic re type, page add, edit choice esp I pad 9,7” A9 but even on new ip pro 10,5” with iOS 11.1 A10,on both, adjusting box, nsrt, colour block, hard to adjust in orienting new additions to in use page
Now in line text editing requires another purchase. Very money hungry.
No OCR. Yes, you read that right. An ‘expert’ PDF app with no OCR.
Was told this was the best app available for managing pdf documents, and was blown away by how powerful it is. Search function and document management are invaluable for people with a large database of pdfs. The interface is intuitive and makes manipulating pdfs a breeze. And to top it all off, it can handle most common file types. The support from Readdle is great, whenever I have had to contact them directly I have received a prompt response and any issues are quickly resolved. Can't wait to see what amazing new features they add in the future as it already does everything I wanted it to do and then a whole lot more.
I like this app for reading and annotating PDF’s on the iPad. It has a floating menu bar for the annotation tools which works well with the Apple Pencil. It has excellent access to iCloud and Dropbox as well as synched folders that work well, for instance, with a Zotero/Zotfile citation/annotation workflow. It really is the top of it’s class. I only have one complaint. I get the idea the developers have never really annotated a lot of PDFs and/or done academic work. PDF Expert’s highlight colours are mostly too dark and of a limited range. Compare this “PaperShip”, for instance (an app I’m using more and more these days to integrate with Zotero), which has a ton of great colours and markup tools for complex and detailed PDF markups. PaperShip falls down in it’s clunky (but deep) UI, not nearly as slick and ergonomic as PDF Expert. One good trick is import into PaperShip and round trip from PaperShip, to PDF Expert, and back to PaperShip again (see PaperShip’s website for details). Otherwise just stick to PDF Expert. It’s pretty darn good.
PDF Expert really is a terrific program. It has a lovely clear and intuitive interface. It is great for studying technical manuals, providing the ability to have multiple PDFs open at once. It makes it simple to annotate, highlight, underline and create new bookmarks.
I love this PDF anitator. Very quick and easy to use. Loads of great features at a good price.
I would like to see the possibility of color coding and different icons for annotations, and the ability to embed comments in lines and drawings. Hope you can do something about this guys....It would certainly be the tipping point for a few of my colleagues to purchase this app.
Had to come back and change my 5 star rating.... The app is fantastic, and integrates great with dropbox, but a few updates ago really hampered syncing and added so many bugs that were previously not present. So many more issues arrive on a daily basis now than previously. Development bug testing has gone down hill significantly. Also the new addition of in app upgrades is also frustrating. You have the free app, are asked to purchased the full version of the app, but then are asked for more for the full ‘full version’. This I don’t mind as much except you cannot purchase the full full version from app store, so cannot purchase it via VPP. Their solution was to individually pay for it on all ipads under itunes accounts that don’t exist was not very helpful. So basically, if you run an mdm, you can’t get the full full version of app....
That's not "damning with faint praise." It's simply true. I was using Adobe Reader, but was annoyed that it would not work with the ios11 file app. Neither did the other files app I was using. So I transferred all my pdf's and other files to Documents and PDF expert by Readdle -a simple task withthe files transfer in iTunes. I am quite happy with the result. My real complaints are with the ios 11 files app, which I think needs to be less focused on iCloud and more on showing what's on your ipad.
It’s the best pdf app!
It’s the best pdf app BUT Sometimes app is crash and also not respond after i updated to iOS 11. i want my smooth pdf expert on iOS 10. Plz fix it.
Little pricey, but definitely worth it! Very handy!
You pay full price and these pop ups still never go away. Now they keep bugging me to purchase a new product from reddit or to rate the app. Well, here is my one star (for the app reasonable functionalities) and four omitted stars (for wasting my time and persistently interrupting my work).
Very solid app. I wish it synced with Zotero.
I love PDF Expert 😍
Indispensable to my daily activities and studying
But asks for rating even though I disabled that in settings.app.
Still does not offer two page view mode...
Hello 1-Multiple sudden crashs 2-Cannot read the big PDF files which were already readed before. 3-In index there are unnecessory multiple branching that I don't want to be like this
