Very easy to use. This app has saved me a lot of time leveling my classroom library. It is very easy to use and fast. It recognize almost all my books, even in another language and bilinguals. I tried another book wizard but this is the best I have used. I recommend it to every classroom teacher.

So many books not in database or …. in the database but no level is assigned. Although the app is easy to use with the scan function, the search function leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes you have to type every word of the title to see it appear (closest matches don’t necessarily come to the top of the search field). Wish there were a more comprehensive leveler database.

Great start. This is a great and quick app most of the time. I do have a lot of books in my classroom library but don’t have scannable codes so there was a lot of entry by hand. Almost all of the books do you have a Lexile rating, but the others are hit and miss. I hope there is an update soon to catch up some of the titles. I also hope that in the near future they give us someway to export our library so that we could create or print a spreadsheet of some kind.

Great. I do really love this app it saves time! Only thing is I feel like I'm constantly having to manually put the ISBN numbers in and there are books but no level at all is given so I have to google it. Other than that it is a time saver and great when setting up my classroom library

Can be better!!. I really like the ease of use, but PLEASE PLEASE put a feature for teachers to be able to sort by custom themes and categories as well. Then your app will be the #1 classroom library and leveling app on the market, and everyone will want one. It's not enough to know what level my classroom books are. I can be a much more effective teacher if I can search my library for books that fit a particular theme or topic. This feature will help myself and others be much more effective in our lesson planning. Thank you.

Amazing tool for the books they have in their system. I love this app, I think it is easy to use, and love that you can look at your library in so many different ways! There are a few problems though that I feel could be easily fixed. If the book is not registered, whether by isbn number, title, author, etc. you cannot “add it” to your library. This is frustrating since you don’t want repeats. I’ve reached out several times to them through the contact us in the app, and I have received nothing back. Not even a “received it, we will get back to you”. The other thing is adding pictures. I wish I could take a picture of the cover for the book. Many times there is a cover, but it can be wrong or gray. This would be a nice little easy fix to keep it updated and help with peace of mind when organizing. Overall I love the product, want to keep using it, but I wish I could get these few issues resolved. It would help a teacher out!

Helpful. Very helpful for inventorying 80% of the books in my library. Wish there was a way to manually enter books that are not in the database. Or add some other sorting feature like AR. Still happy with the purchase but frustrated that I can’t inventory my whole library.

Wouldn’t recommend. Waste of money. Purchased this app to level hundreds of books for a classroom library. Over half of them didn’t even come up or it came up with the book but no level assigned. Download a different free book leveler and it found and had levels for at least three quarters of the books not found in this app.

Super useful!. This makes book hunting so much easier! On more than one occasion I've been in either a library or bookstore and the employee asked me information on a book because I was using this app. It takes all the guesswork out of it, and you can know right away if a book is right for your kid or not with a quick scan. I wish more things were this easy.

Fast and simple. I am a library volunteer and book lover. This app was great to help Lexile the school library. Now I am using it at home to sort my own books for my children according to reading level. Love it!

Good but could be GREAT. This app is simple in design and intuitive to use. However, it allows you to add notes about your book but not to search by those keywords later!! If I want to tag a book as a "natural resources" unit selection, for example, I'd like to be able to use that keyword to search my book list and find them all. Please consider adding that feature to enhance the value and usefulness of the book basket bundle.

Missing genre. I want so much to love this app! Entering the books in was easy and I LOVE that you can merge with the checkout app. About 90% of my library was able to be uploaded. I wish I could add a cover of a book to the ones that don’t have one like you can do in the checkout app. My -2 on the Star rating comes because there is no genre attached to the books. A big problem I have is trying to figure out what book belongs to which genre when helping my class pick books out. Adding this to the app would make this app unstoppable! A 5+ rating!

Almost there but can use some improvements.. I love this app. I would like an option to take a picture of my own cover like it's sister app. I also would like to see an option to export 'my library' into a spreadsheet so labels can be made.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!. I bought this app thinking it would help me on library trips with my 1st grader. I figured I could use this to make sure she was choosing books appropriate for her reading level. Unfortunately, there a many, many books that are not in their registry and most books that they have in their registry do not have the Reading levels available. Now, I am still in the same situation I was in before, not knowing if the books we choose are best for her reading level and I am out the money I paid for the app. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU PURCHASE THIS APP IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

Okay. This app is okay. About 50 percent of my books were on here but I still have a couple hundred that still aren’t leveled. The book is in the app for a lot of them without a level which is very very frustrating. Over I would not recommend this and would use the scholastic free version because it has the same books but is FREE!

Love it!. Love the s scan feature. Also if a book doesn’t have a barcode, most times I find it in the library when typing it in. Amazing app!!

Great App!. I love this app! I have waited to write a review to see how the app would hold up and evolve. I have been using this app for over two years now and leveled lots of books in my library! The reason the app does not get 5 stars is because there is no way for me to add books that are not already in the application. So if a new book in a series or a new author pops up and I try to input the book it says that the ISBN cannot be found. If I could add the book myself that would be great. So, hopefully the developers of this app read this and it could be added with an update.

Love this app!. I love this app! My daughter is a struggling reader, going into 2nd grade. It's nice to scan a book she reads well and see that it's at or slightly above grade level! We also use it while buying books or at the library to be sure and choose books that are at her level, but also get some that give her a bit of a challenge.

Quick and easy. Scan the back of the book and everything you need pops up on the screen.

Easy to use!. This app has cut down on my work load for my kindergarten classroom. Even though it does not display every book cover, it make my library inventorying a breeze. I highly recommend this if you are a teacher regardless of grade level.

Easy App but needs more to make it great!. This app makes it very easy to level most books in your classroom library but most teachers need to be able to organize library by theme, genre, and topic. Also would help to be able to print out a list to help with library set-up and check out.

Amazing!!. Highly recommend this app for any teacher trying to organize their classroom library. It has almost every book out there and if you can't scan it or find it using the ISBN number then you can search most by typing in the author or title. Also love how you can add the books you have to your personal library in hopes of preventing purchase of multiples. One thing that I would like would be to add in books to the database. I have a small stack of books I was unable to find on the app and wasn't able to add them in myself. I would also like to be able to add cover pictures of books myself. Some books I found didn't have the correct cover page that corresponded to the book.

Disappointing. I was really excited and bought both the leveler and classroom check out app. It was disappointing because I have about over 1,000 books and a third of them cannot be scanned even though it has the ISBN or if it scanned it says it's not in the leveler. A lot of the newer books are not in the system. Also, sometimes the books scan up as a different name when I’m using the check out system. Hopefully they can update their books.

Disappointed. I was certain that this app would help me verify the levels of guided reading books I planned to use for my groups. The scanner did not scan, and I had to manually enter ISBNs. This wastes time. Then, no leveling Information was given for several books I looked up; only the title and author. I can get that information from the book. I would never have paid $6 for an app to tell me the title and author of a book. I really wish I could get a REFUND!!!

Books not in app!. I bought the bundle and I am trying to build a check out system. I wished I could manually put in books while you updated your library. It isn't helpful when someone wants to check it a book that isn’t on the list.

Disappointing Purchase!. I bought this app specifically for the scanner feature to easily identify reading levels of texts in my classroom. The scanner won’t work on a single book. I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and can see the camera is clearly picking up the standard barcodes (with EAN and ISBNs beginning with 978) but NO INFO POPS UP! Disappointing. If I wanted to type in ISBNs or titles all day, I could have just used Google.

Great!. Just bought a ton of new books to start my classroom library and all the books were in the system! I do wish there was a way to add books that may not be in the system....I also wish I could print a list of the books in my library. Overall awesome app for the price!

Disappointed. This app started working great the first few times then stopped scanning. I contacted tech support via email and they gave lots of suggestions for me but they didn’t help. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still could not get the app to work. One thing that does work is typing the numbers in which is a huge PITA. But, using the voice to text mode makes it faster. And then there are some books that are not found in the app which is another disappointment.

Fantastic. Useful. Accommodating.. This app is great. There are most books in the database and those that aren't you can email tech support and they will be input in a few hours. I have added my entire library in just over an hour. As a teacher this is SO valuable!

Great app!. This app is amazing! The only thing was I accidentally erased it and all of my books that I scanned in erased so now I need to rescan everything!! Is there any way to ensure all books can be saved on the app? I’m afraid if I get a new phone and the app does not transfer I will lose all of the books again.

Love!. This app made leveling and adding books to my classroom library super easy! I was able to level 100+ books in less than an hour! Highly recommend for any teacher or parent!

Helpful app for young readers. I use this to identify books in our collection or at the library that are the right level for my daughter to practice reading. It’s very easy to use, especially with the barcode scanning feature. There are generally books that I can’t find, and I wish there was a way to submit those for review and have the reading level get added to them. If they’re not in the database I can’t even add them to my library (within the app). It’s nice that there is a decoder page to match up the various reading level scales, since not all books are rated on all the scales. Overall this app is still very helpful even with the drawbacks listed.

Teacher Friendly. I love this App. So far I have had no problems. All my classroom Library books are marked with quiz numbers and book levels now I can add the Lexile level just by scanning the ISBN number or I can manually input the information right into my phone. It's very quick; Whereas I used to have to go to a computer and look it up. This is nice if you have a student that you can trust with your phone and even go around and snap pictures of the ISBN and write the Lexile Level and book level into the book itself. Not all books are in here, but 90% of the books I have scanned from my classroom library at the elementary level have been.

Love it!. I have been trying to find the best way to find levels for books in a classroom library and this app is very helpful. I wish like many have said, that you could request books to be added or add some that you have the information for. I also would like to be able to browse on a laptop or computer and don't see a website where that is possible.

Happy New Kinder Teacher. After 20 years I came back to Kinder. Instead of DEAR time there is Independent Reading as a part of a BLP. Both those and take home books need to be leveled to “Guided Readings” GR or F&P or back in the day Reading Recovery. I went online to A-Z database to type in my library books and few were found. I printed lists of books - tedious. After 15 min I now have 50% of my library scanned with this app! 90% were in this database and about 80% had a leveled score. About 50 of Joy Cowleys books are leveled. Thank you makers!!

This is an excellent app.. I just searched 120 books that I am cataloging for the library at the school. I found all of them except for three. This is the best app that I have found a use in the five years that I’ve been cataloging books. This is a user-friendly app. Well worth the investment. Can’t go wrong for six dollars.

Amazing!!!! & amazing support!. Loving this app to start my classroom library!!! Easy to look up/ scan! It’s nice that even some not leveled books are still in there to keep track! Would be nice to be able to add books that aren’t in! But over LOVE! & the support is AMAZING! I emailed about an issue I was having (user error) and within 30 minutes a REAL person emailed me back ready to help! Highly recommend!!!

Lots of books missing. I bought this app as a parent trying to make it easier to select level appropriate books at the public library. More than half of the books I have scanned are not in this database. It is a great app when the book is included.

Great but needs updates. This app is a great one but needs some improvements. Many titles are not listing dra, Lexile, etc. I found a book that had the wrong title for the isbn scanned. There should be an error report capability. I found another book that showed a picture of a title page rather than the cover. I could have corrected it with a quick snapshot of my book cover. Even if we could send in corrections to an administrator for approval, that would be wonderful. I've also got a few books that won't come up by author or title. We should be able to request that to be updated also. I would enter the isbn and pictures if the option was available. These updates would make it a 5 star app.

Lit Leveler. This was a really great find! It's handy to have on hand as a starting point for parents & kids looking for a specific GRL. I hope you'll update and add newer books, as well. Also, thanks for the handy levels chart. That will be a help to use for books without a GRL.

Great app but with some corrections. I use this app all the time but a lot of the books don’t come up with title or author. I feel like we should be able to input ones that are missing to help others. Even Scholastic books sometimes don’t come up.

I love it BUT. I love this app! I've scanned my hundreds and hundreds of books from my classroom library and the hoard or children's books that belong to my children. I just wish I could export the list so I can label my books as such so my kids can get books out that are right at there level! Please add this update!!! I'll pay to have that functionality!

Easy to use. This app is easy to use and is convenient for teachers setting up leveled libraries in the classes. I like how it now has the option to add the book to your library (but wish I could access all of the prior ones I have scanned too). It would be nice to have the option to be able to add your own pictures of the book covers and to add books to the database. Other than that, it's pretty good!

Home library leveler. This is great for leveling the books in my son's library!! Most books are included and it is helpful to know which books are at the independent vs. instructional level. Wish it had a way to find books via picture, not just barcode or typing.

Great app but needs some improvement.. I really like this app. I really like that you can create your own library with all your books. However, it does need the capability of taking a picture in case the app does not have a picture of the book. Several books do not have GRL levels which are very important to me for leveling my books for my students.

Potential not reached. For the price you pay for this app you expect to get a lot more out of it. You can't sync your account from iPhone to tablet for one You can't manually add in books. To edit books you must use Classroom Checkout. For student passcodes, letters are not allowed. Can't sort by category in your library. Can't view checkout status online or through another device. This app has the potential to be THE BEST classroom library manager I have seen yet but there are still too many features not available to give it that title. Disappointed. If only the developer would fix the issues above... then it would be worth the money and the 5 stars! Now I have to rescan my ENTIRE classroom library on my tablet because it doesn't transfer over....

Can't find half the books I'm looking for. This app would be perfect for my 3rd grade classroom if it could give me levels on at least half the books I've scanned over the past several months. I use both Scholastic and this one, and between the two of them, I still can't get all my books leveled. It's easy to use, and I love the library feature, but the data base of books leaves much to be desired.

Very disappointed!!. With virtual learning starting in the fall I wanted an app to help me find grade level text for my children. Out of the 10 books I scanned in like two were listed!!!Very sorry that I wasted six dollars on this app!!There should have been a way to try a few scans before purchasing. What a rip off. I wish I could request a refund!!If you were a mom with typical children’s books and young reader chapter books at home don’t waste your money!!

Lit leveler pretty good. I was able to get all but a handful of books on the app in about an hour or so! (I had a google doc I had previously used). Here are my suggestions - they might have these abilities but I couldn’t find it. 1. I would love the ability to have multiple book lists. I’d like to keep my guided reading separate from my classroom library separate from my teaching books. 2- It would be so helpful to include the book blurb with the cover to make it easier to find what you are looking for. 3- I would love to have a search function for my notes. Even with those missing I still think it is a good value - and I found it fairly easy to navigate!

Wish there was more.... Wish there was an option to add photos of book covers not in the database. Also wish you could manually add a book in when the information is not found in the database. Genre information in the database would be a bonus if added in the future. Good app, but only if you are adding and leveling *new* books in your library.

Expected More. I got this app yesterday and was really excited for it but was disappointed. It only worked for less than 30% of the books I tried. The other books it did not recognize, it recognized but had no level for or it recognized as the wrong book. Books NEED to be added. It would also be nice to be able to add images and books to your own personal library that the app does not recognize. Hope that it is updated to add missing books.

Very Handy. Great idea; I love how easy it is to use! I agree with the other reviewers as far as hoping the data base continues to grow. I'd also love to see Fountas & Pinnell levels added some day.

Don’t waste your money. I’m very disappointed in this app. Only a small handful of books that I have scanned have a level. Some books populate with the cover when scanned but don’t have any level. I do not recommend purchasing this app.

Quick and Easy. This app is a very quick and easy way to scan and level the majority of your classroom book collection. I have been able to consistently use it for about 75% of the books I purchase for my class.

Just ok. I recently purchased 20 chapters books and found only 6 were able to be levelled using this app. I hope you update your database of books frequently as I disappointed so few were able to be levelled.

Great Idea!. I was so excited when I scanned my first picture book and all the information was magically entered in my library. Unfortunately, information for many of my paperbacks, purchased from Scholastic, was not available. Also, several books had a title, but no picture for the book cover.

Lt. Leveler. Awesome teacher tool! In the more section it shows you the different levels! My students even use this app! Mighty First X Grade Teacher!!

Small database. This app is wonderful when books are in the system. However, more than half the time information is not available. I need to level books for my students, so when the information is not available, I cannot accurately level books.

Mixed emotions. I wish I could create lists for different genres or by authors. Would also be nice if I could add books that are not in your database. I have to use this app and Book Wizard. I do appreciate that I can sort by GRL unlike scholastic that doesn't give me the option.

Scanner doesn’t work, limited library. This app used to be sorta helpful. I could scan books and would get a level for about half of them. Typing the ISBN produced results for a few more titles. Now the scanner doesn’t scan anything, and since the database of books is so limited, I might as well type the ISBN into google where I’ll get results every time.

Three for ease... However.... The app is extremely easy to use. However, out of all the many book I have AND walking around stores, I have found exactly five that are in your database. The cost of the app is not worth what is provided.

Only works ten times then quits.. I’m upset that I paid money for an app that only works a handful of times and hyphen won’t generate Lexile scores. Even for books that I’ve previously scanned and gotten lexile levels for. I want my money back! I’m a teacher and I don’t have the time or the money for a product that doesn’t work reliably!!

Disappointing. This app would be amazing if they kept up with it and added levels continuously. 60-70% of the books I try to scan aren’t listed. For the 30% that are, this app is great...but it really hasn’t saved me much time because of the lacking database.

Very disappointed. I think only one book I have scanned was in the data base. I requested a refunded because this was a complete waste of money. I know teachers who have free apps that provide more information than this one.

Frustrated k teacher. I was very disappointed in this app. I have several bundles of books in the Guided Reading library and I wasn’t able to find the DRA or FP level for any of them using this ap. It was a waste of money for me.

No good. Need an app that will give guided reading level/F &P level/GRA. I scanned over 80 book titles and the book was found but NO information was given. This was a waste of money and many hours.

Has potential. Very helpful, but incomplete. Would love to have the ability to add information to the app to help fill out the library

Good, scanner won't focus. I have to enter the ISBN numbers by hand because the scanner won't focus. Has made my job of organizing my classroom library by lexile so the students can find and replace books easily.

Awesome!. I've only had it a couple of hours and already it is more handy than any of the other apps out there!

Great for adding books in database not for leveling. Out of 46 books I scanned only 24 I was able to get the guided reading level.

Cannot print. Can't print a list of your books. I had to research a lot of DRA levels myself.

Poor database. I bought this to level a class library. I scanned probably twenty five books that were either not in the database at all, or not leveled. Disappointing.

Helpful. This is great app to have, very helpful... it needs to be updated though.

Wasted my Money. I’ve tried using this app several times today to level my leveled readers, but on the rare occasion that it actually picked up the book name from scanning it, it didn’t offer the guided reading level or DRA! I bought this app thinking it would make this job faster and easier, but I wish I could get my money back!

Needs updated book information. I purchased this app to level my classroom books. Out of 30 books that I scanned with this app only 3 had available information. I contacted customer service on the app and it came back with an automated “this purchase isn’t available for a refund”. Would not recommend this app!

1/50 books found in database. I was trying to find a better way to level my books so I PAID for this app... waste of money!!! I scanned over 50 books easily and only 1 gave me information on levels!!!! It doesn’t work! Not worth paying! Just use the free book wizard app!

Don’t bother if you have new books if need the graded level. Doesn’t work as described! Many books I scanned only had the author and tithe appear and none of the levels unless it was a super old book like Dr. Seuss. I need the F & P letter graded level for my sons school. Needs updating! Apple will not refund FYI for those considering purchasing, they will only let me report the issue.

Awesome! 🏆. App makes leveling your library so simple. By October, my students are leveling any new editions and/or their own text.

Love this!!. Every teacher needs this app! It's so nice to know exactly what's in my class library--I also love knowing the DRA levels to help me steer my students to books appropriate for them.

Love it!. This is a great app, my complaints would be that a lot of books don't have cover art or information/leveling, I also wish this app and the classroom check out were all in one app.

Awful. I would like a refund please. This app is awful, I am sitting here scanning all of my books and getting levels for about %2 of my books. How are you going to charge $6 for this app??? It’s not even worth it if it were free.

Most books not in it's database. I scanned 15 books and only 1 had the levels. Most were identified but showed no information on any levels( not fine!) . Few gave error of not being in database ( which is fine!). Waste of money.

Nice But Limited. The app works really well for scanning QR codes to find titles, but many times there is no reading level available and there is no way to suggest titles for review or add a Lexile level once the book is in your library.

Needs to be updated. This is a great app!! However it hasn’t been updated for a long time. I am unable to find any new books.

Love It!. Such a simple way to catalog a classroom library and you can sort by Lexiles too!

Seen. This app is terrible. I have scanned about many books. There is no information on over half of the books or it cannot be scanned. I would not recommend this app for leveling books. I'm extremely disappointed.

It could be better.. Purchased to use for GRL and it's not worth the price. App froze multiple times, had to close and restart while trying to scan books.

It's okay. I like it....but I wish it would scan from my iPhone 6. Also if it had a way to sort by level or genre it would be better.

No levels found. This app is terrible. It scanned and recognized books but there were no levels attached for any of the book I scanned.

Good but could be better. This app is great when the book's information is listed. Many books are missing all or partial information so it won't tell you about many books. It's very easy to use and has a good setup.

Disappointed. I was excited to level the books in the classroom, but only one out of the first fifteen books were leveled. The rest confirmed the title (obviously I already know the titles since I have the books), but didn’t level them. I’d love to get my six dollars back. This is not at all helpful.

Useful App. This app is a great help when I'm looking for books to read with students I tutor, many who are not reading at grade level.

Disappointed. I recently bought a few hundred books for my classroom (which need to be leveled) so I bought this app to do so. It recognizes ALL of the books I've scanned however it only gives me actual level info on maybe 10% of them....

Waste of $4.99. I have been using Level It and had a few titles to fill in. I saw this was bundled with the other program so I took the leap. Out of the first shelf of books, only 2 had GRL. Don't advertise it if you are going to leave it blank... Many classic titles weren't even recognized.

"Not available". This would be a great app if only they had levels for more books! This app is not very helpful for me. Many of my books' levels are not available.

Most of the books we scan don’t even show up. I’m not impressed with this app. When my 7th grader scans books from her teacher’s library, they don’t usually show up. Or they show up without a Lexile.

Horrible do not buy. This app is horrible. Yes it "found" books but it had no information for most of them. Complete waste of money and wish I had read the reviews and not made this mistake. Do not waste your money. I was not able to level one book that I had.

Croft. This a a very user friendly app. It does need to be updated with the recent GRL that were recently published by Pinnell & Fountas.

Do NOT Purchase. This app does not work as promised. There are very few titles in their system. You have to type in the ISBN as the scanning option does not function. Of the few books actually in the system, there is no level associated with them. Choose a different app!!
