Terrible Interface! Blurry movies and photos! 👎🏻👎🏻😡. This app is just way too busy! It’s too much hassle to use. The movies come out blurry and the screen shrinks so you can’t even see what your filming. I have an iPhone 11 pro max running 13.1.2. They make you pay for lowlight + when I already have the new night mode on the phone itself which is available on the stock camera. This app is a complete waste of time with all of the bells and whistles. I will stick with the stock app and Pro Camera, which is a terrific app I’ve been using since it was first launched. It’s much easier to use. Less complicated interface, easier to understand tutorials in laymen’s terms, controls are easier to access so you don’t waste an hour trying to take a photo or a video. The pics and videos come out awesome. Don’t waste your money or your time. Life is too short. Just take the picture already!!

Camera RAW missing, freezing phone, roundabout customer service. I purchased ProCam6 for my iPhone 6plus to shoot RAW photos but there is no option at all to do so on the ProCam6 version. It froze up my phone twice and I was on Apple Support to figure out if it was my phone or the app. It's the app. The tech support hasn't been helpful. I contacted the developer, who sent me to the apple support page to report a problem, which sent me back to the developer. This runaround is not cool. I don't recommend this app for older models, even though it's listed as compatible. —EDIT— in response to the developer. It was not indicated under the description that this version of the app requires 12mp hardware. In fact, the description still describes ProCam5 and that this app is compatible with iPhone and iPads running iOS 10 or above. This review stays. I would like a refund and have contacted the developer through your website.

Use It Every Day. Awesome for capturing doccuments, but the OCR doesn’t do very good for store receipts. I’m guessing that the latest iPhone doesn’t have the power to do very good OCR on small text that isn’t crisp. But I did get a little better results by making the receipt text a little larger. I took three 5 foot high filing cabinets and used it to copy all of the documents, and moved them into folders (albums) in my Photos folder, and it’s all backed up on the iCloud for a couple bucks per month, with an additional backup on a 512G USB memory stick. Then I tossed the filing cabinet in the trash :) If I ever need to alter one, this app allows moving it back and doing an OCR. I spent 20 years designing databases, so I am also creating a database app that is 100 times better than the iPhone Photos app, with the ability to use multiple folder levels and naming and searching capability for the picture documents. So I will be moving all of the documents to the database when I am done. The bottom line is that I love this ScannerPro app.

My favorite camera app - Raw and Depth features. I’ve tried many, many camera apps and this one is easily my favorite. The ability to control almost every aspect of the shot is fantastic — as is the ability to let the app automate some or all elements for you. The freedom to shoot in TIFF or RAW is awesome, as is the depth/portrait shooting. My only complaint is that I wish that shutter button was either larger and/or moveable. I can’t always reach it properly without causing camera shake. I would also like to see live monitoring on the WatchOS app like the native camera app. All things considered, this is my go-to camera app and well worth the price!

A Must Have For All Your Photo/Video Needs. While the pre-installed Camera app for the iPhone is alright, the features on it are quite limited for my needs. With the ProCam 8 app, however, it’s capable of doing so much more that not only have I pretty much left left the Camera app behind, I have significantly reduced the use of my DLSR camera altogether. Taking nighttime photos is just amazing, and as for videos, recording it in 4K HDR at 24fps make my concert videos look like it was professionally shot. If there are any critiques to be made, it would be 1) the app is pretty slow at taking photos and saving them, and 2) there should be built-in assistance that would make it easier for users to navigate and change settings. Download the app, and I highly recommend spending the extra money for the in-app purchases, especially if you want professional quality photo and video taking capabilities.

This app is the literal best camera app ever.. I have loved this app. And have used it throughout the years but I’m finally sold that it is the absolute best and here is why. Spiders... yes spiders, now before you call me crazy a few things to note. I have studied spiders as a hobby and love watching them build their webs and I was never able to film it until I thought I might as well try out this app and look around once again and low and behold. It has a flashlight function. This is a GOD SEND as now you can see the web crystal clear because the light and camera are on the same plane. The other thing is the auto focus and then manually taking that focus to show ever detail of the orb weaver like all the little hairs on their legs that provide various functions. Tonight was the first time I got a crystal clear photo and couldn’t be happier studying these amazing creatures.

Awful!!!!!! Don’t waste your $$$$. I don’t know what app these other reviewers are using but it’s not the same as what I have .... the app is extremely confusing because there are so many different settings & there is no sort of tutorial or how to use the settings of any kind. If you’re a professional photographer who knows all of these settings then I’m sure this is great, but it was extremely hard to use. I thought I had finally figured out enough of the settings that I could use it for my Etsy shop photos. I spent about 3 hours taking hundreds of pictures that all looked fantastic on my screen as I was shooting everything then I sat down to review the shots & about 96% of them were completely unusable because they were incredibly dark & made the colors look wrong. None of the setting on the app were actually used on the pictures & now I get to spend another 3 hrs redoing everything I just did! I want a refund for this app!!!!!! It’s AWFUL!!!!!!

Very well designed. The underlying capabilities of the camera is dictated by Apple’s API, so every app creator has access to the same functionality. What sets them apart is the user interface, and this creator has the best IMO. It’s elegantly designed, so it’s great to use. That said, I would like to see some deeper documentation. For instance, what interpolation process is being used for software zooming? The SMRT selection means what exactly? What level of compression is being used by JPEG and HEIC processes? You get the idea… Very good work!

Loss of functionality. I have been using this app for over a year to edit photos for my reselling business. It’s been great until I recently updated it. Now I am no longer able to edit photos using ProCam from within the built-in Photos app on my iPhone. Now I have to use the ProCam app which is slower to use (and doesn’t see all my albums) and it creates another copy of the photo (doesn’t edit the original). This only eats up storage and makes more work keeping things organized. After contacting them they stated they removed the extension due to lack of use. I find that hard to believe. Now I am having to look at buying another photo app. Disappointed…

Soft focus not a problem after all!. Thanks to the ProCam team for great customer support. Helped me to understand their product so I can get the most out of it. See below for the story. I’m not sure why but the app doesn’t focus as sharply as the Apple Camera app. I’m sorely disappointed because the app has so many great features. I like the idea of having a camera with me at all times that can do many of the same things as a DSLR. I’ll keep playing with it. Maybe there’s a solution. UPDATE: The out of focus problem seems to be related to shooting in RAW. Pics are much sharper in TIFF and JPEG. Still disappointed because I want to shoot in RAW. UPDATE II: I contacted support and they explained that when shooting in just RAW (instead of RAW + L) I’m going to see a low res version of my image in Photos because Photos doesn’t support the RAW format. It will look great in programs that support RAW. You get a clear preview image in Photos when viewing an image shot with RAW + L because Photos is reading the JPEG copy and not the RAW image. Nice to know. I can now shoot with confidence. I can’t wait to really dig into it’s capabilities.

The most comprehensive camera app. Procam 5 is great! There may be simpler, more elegant apps, but this has so many features I haven't needed to look elsewhere. Fully featured, for the most demanding photo nerd. PS: seems to be a bug with in-app camera roll viewer. Deleted several pics, but one wasn’t removed from in-app viewer. Trying to delete it produced iOS “allow ProCam to delete” but the shown picture was not same as in viewer. -1 star for nagging. Each time I opened the app over the last two days I was asked to rate the app. That is not how to do app reviews. I appreciate the developer response, but perhaps Apple’s API isn’t the best approach. Cannot recall so much nagging since iOS 11.

ProCam 5 extends possibilities. Pro cam five extends the iPhone’s camera possibilities. I originally purchased the app for its ability to modify the shutter speed. I have found many new uses for it. The tilt shift option was the first fun one I used. Then I learned it had a zoom capability (not yet in the tutorial, look on the right side of the screen for a very faint circle), white balance capability, ISO modification, and a whole lot more. I would have rated it a five out of five but I find the font is too small for me to read without assistance. Perhaps later, I will learn how to modify the font sizes. It will stay on my phone.

If you have any doubts, this app is everything you want it to be!. I purchased this app right before my vacation to Europe. I wanted to take photos, but the native camera app, just isn't functional enough, in situations where you want certain effects (like the amazing included long shutter feature) or you just can't get the settings right with the minimal design in the Apple camera app. With this app all of the information a DSLR displays, is displayed for your phone camera. I like this app, as it unlocks the full potential of the app, and I would recommend it to anyone, who is sometimes disappointed by the iPhone camera app.3

Best smartphone camera app ever!. Of all the camera apps out there and I tried a lot of them, this one surpasses them all. I’m not one to buy apps and as a result I expect a certain amount of ads and limited access to app functions. This one surprised me enough I actually spent the money to purchase it. It’s well thought out, intuitive, easy to use and gives me almost as much control over the phone’s camera as I get with my DSLR. If you’re on the fence about buying this app, don’t be. You’ll be pleasantly surprised and will certainly get your money’s worth with this one.

Low Spec Features Compared to Rest. It’s crazy how the app “CameraPixels” another premium - similar to yours - camera app has focus bracketing AND bracketing in general for HDR photo taking, up to 15 photos of different exposures. Why does this - you - advertise as the best, but seem have zero intention to implement these features. Also camera pixels has the ability to LOCK the shutter speed in video to achieve and actual 180 shutter angle when recording video. Allowing ISO to change dynamically and extremely fast. You - ProcCam 4, and 5 - only allow the user to set the shutter Manuel - in video -to achieve the desired shutter angle, even worse the iso can’t be set to AUTO when shutter speed is in Manuel - in video mode -. So when recording, this desired setup only allows the user to change iso Manuel. Creating pretty UN-Smooth exposition change / gradation when recording. Also, please implement a more Manuel long exposure, instead of always blowing iso outa wack when detecting a really dark scene. AND PLEASE ALLOW 4K MAX video to be uploaded to google drive / similar services when pressing that share button.

The best premium all-in-one camera app for iOS.. The title says it all, really. This is the best premium/paid all-in-one camera app for iOS. Are there some apps that might have more features than this one? Technically, sure that’s correct. Will 99% of users ever use then? No way. If you’re looking for something specific, odds are pretty good that you’ll find exactly what you need within this application’s abundance of features. Best of all, everything just works. The UI is fantastic and can easily be figured out by the most novice of users; the controls are intuitive while not being obstructive or annoying, there’s no ads, subscriptions or constant pop-up reminders asking you to rate the app or write a review, and the developer of this wonderful piece of software is one of maybe two or three (tops) individual developers who not only has created what I consider to be a “category-leading” app, but who also is quite dedicated to consistently pushing out new features, bug fixes and responding to user help requests. Do not hesitate for a minute to get this app! It is the first one I install when setting up a new iPhone for someone and is worth every penny!

Loved the app when I could use it. I upgraded my iPhone and for some reason when I downloaded the app onto my new phone it immediately started giving an ‘enable the camera in your privacy settings’ alert. However, every time I went to privacy it already showed the camera was enabled. I tried denying access then enabling it again, waiting for an update for both my phone and the app, restarting my phone after uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. I even went as far as to factory reset my phone in case it was something to do with the settings but nothing worked. I loved the features but now I basically paid for an app that doesn’t work past the first month I had it. It’s a great app if it works for you but I’d caution buying it if you are about to upgrade your phone.

I have to use this app because iPhone 14 Pro camera constant switching is unacceptable.. (THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATES!!!) This app fixes my anger with the factory camera and it’s app. Ever since I got a “Pro” iPhone, the camera can’t figure out which lens to use so all of my photos are a blurry mess. Every time. Literally. I have to use this app because iPhone 14 Pro camera constant switching is unacceptable. If this app didn’t exist?? I would be forced to go back to my iPhone 12. (Edit) I just realized how long you’ve been updating this app. My gosh man. Update kings.

Great camera all, a couple of bugs.. When I first got my XR I was severely disappointed with the photo quality. Whatever filter and processing Apple uses seems only interested in selfies. But this app completely change my opinion of the camera on this phone. That being said recently I’ve had an issue where the time lapse just stops randomly and loses all the data. Not sure if there is a fix or a setting I can change to make this work again. I also seem to have to close and restart the app occasionally to keep it working right.

Good, but some hiccups. This app has a lot to offer. Especially in a he raw photos. I am a studio artist and need to take a lot of high quality product shots in a short period of time. This app allows me to do that. Far superior to the native camera app as I can adjust the lighting temp and shutter speed accurately and quickly. Paired with the iPhone 11, I haven’t touched my dslr in months. No need. However, as I am exploring the other options in the app, like video and time lapse. I’m am starting to have issues. Ie the time lapse shoots don’t work. It says it’s “recording” and then “saving” but there is no file . I’ve lost a lot of shareable moments to push my company forward by losing these files. I hope they fix this ASAP. Otherwise time to move on to another RAW shooting and timelapse/video app. Any recommendations?!!!

Best photo/vid editing app available. I've tried tons of apps since my first iPhone in 2012. This is by far the best. Love the iPad version and love this version. Worth the $. The best way to learn its power is to spend time playing with the app...especially on a weekend when the weather forces you to entertain yourself with indoor activities. You’ll become hooked like I did. To the developers: outstanding job with creating AND maintaining this app. The updates never leave me without my fave solo pastime. The ability to choose the front facing camera option AND locking it as a preference would be useful. It’s a minor annoyance to toggle it back every time you change between video and photo for example. Besides that tiny personal preference I have no other criticism. Again, thanks for a great app!

Zoom with 60fps video. I am updating this review as it appears that the stability of the app during video recording has improved. However, there is one thing that still makes me not use this app as a daily driver in place of the built in camera app & that is the fact you can’t switch between 1x & 2x zoom while recording 1080p 60fps video. It appears that you can do it while recording in 1080p 30fps which I don’t quite understand. If the developer can shed some light as to why this restriction is in place I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Camera freezes & more. Just upgraded iPhone to latest IOS release and updated ProCam to release 6. Takes one image and freezes - how I wish to be able to downgrade.... Solved problem by deleting and downloading app. More sinister behavior - images taken with ProCam 5 on iPhone 7Plus, fail to import into Adobe Lightroom CC and cannot be edited. Another not-so-hot-feature is copying .mov files taken with the app. Although the movie is viewable on the iPhone, attempting to copy the files to a computer causes an error that defies comprehension. Only after deleting the offending videos does copying work uneventfully. Sadly, it’s only when one gets back home that we discover those “ProCam” videos are ‘useless’ outside the iPhone operating environment.

Far from perfect but more features than stock camera.. I have to apologize to the developers for my initial negative review, I didn’t read the description well before buying. Even on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I have to close other running apps for this app to work. Even with all apps closed it is a bit laggy and unresponsive. I didn’t realize aperture was locked on iPhones but you can’t change it. Overall this app has some good features and the layout is pretty good. Gives much more control than the stock camera app. I think the $9.99 price is a bit high, but certainly better than the $60 for Halide.

Not happy with this at all. There are a lot of (confusing) buttons on this app if you are not a super savvy video type person. There are also a lot of limitations on what you can or cannot do with this app. For instance, it seems to not allow selfie mode in 4K recording, which is not spelled out in the information I researched about the app before I made the purchase. I do a lot of self-recording and expected a paid app to allow me the ability to record in whichever direction I choose and at the speed/resolution of my choice. Sorta a waste of money. Very disappointing. While I appreciate the response from the developer, it doesn’t change my opinion about the app. Clarity is key when marketing a product to consumers. If things had been more clear, I probably would not have made the purchase. Not because ProCam is a bad product, but rather just not the product for my needs. Seems like many others are enjoying the app, so maybe it just means my experience is one of the rare unpleasant ones.

Time lapse function doesn’t work with wide angle camera on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have contacted the company many times to explain the bug with this app and they have told me that there’s no problem. Here’s the issue: Time lapse function won’t Work with wide angle camera on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. I proved my point by installing the app in 3 different iPhone 11 Pro Max. If you select any other camera (for a time lapse) it’ll work, but if you pick the wide angle camera for a time lapse; the moment you hit record the app quits. The company keeps telling me that they cannot replicate the problem so it appears to me that they’re lying to me. I want to know if other iPhone 11 pro Max users are having the same issue. Please speak up.

Overhyped App, Better Options Out There. I really wanted to like this app, especially for the asking price. I just couldn't get into it. The layout is awful, slow, and sticky. Some of the settings will change on me after I've dialed them in which is unacceptable for a manual camera app. Recording video with this app is cumbersome and makes getting your video frustrating and slow. It feels like an app from five years ago. Yes it does have some powerful features which is great, but there are other apps out there that offer those same features, other great features, and have a sleek easy to use layout. I'll be switching to another RAW/Manual app for my iPhone photography and recommend others do the same. I thank the Dev for being one of the first to bring these great tools to iPhones, I just wish they could keep up with the times and bring us more as the months and years go on.

Great app, minor inconsistencies.. I love this app. It is the best camera that I have used on iPhone (not that I have tried many, I haven’t needed to since this one). I use it for both photography as well as recording videos. My single complaint stems from an inconsistency within the video framing guides and the available video cropping aspect ratios. This app has an awesome feature where it will let you place in guides when you are recording videos to show you where the top and bottom of wider screen aspect ratios are so you can frame properly. This app also has a built in feature that lets you crop videos to aspect ratio presets after you record them. Unfortunately the framing guides and the cropping presets do not share the same aspect ratios. The only overlapping ratios are 1:1, 4:3, and 2.35:1. There are so many aspect ratios in the framing guides that are not available in the cropping options, so I cannot see exactly what my framing looks like until I get to a PC. If I could choose only one aspect ratio to add, it would be 2:1, but I believe that there should be perfect parody between both options. This app is an easy 5 star if this were to be addressed, but to me it is worth docking 2 whole stars until then.

Pop Ups Stop Video Recording. I love this app. Especially the fact that I can run video with the focus locked, but the aperture on auto. I couldn’t find this combination anywhere else. My only criticism is that anytime my iPhone has a pop up, such as “low battery,” it pauses the recording of the video. Is there a fix? Also, I shoot long form videos, and after about two hours of constant shooting, the app seems to shut off the recording. Is there a way to prevent the auto shut off?

Worst app I have ever Used. I looked for a professional application that has many features, I did not mind paying any money, I just wanted a camera that had 240 FPS recording, adjusting exposure in real time, something like a Nikon camera without the expensive price. The app had many features and I was satisfied with it, however, I have given it one star since the recording feature decides to save my recording whenever it wants to, even if I have recorded 25 minutes of material in which I cannot record again, it decides to break on me and not save at all on my phone, it has done that countless times and it upsets me incredibly. I never write reviews however this is an exception. I have to stop the video every 30 seconds to one minute so I’m sure it saves, but even then, it doesn’t either, it’s as if the app decides whether or not it wants to save the material I am recording. Please, fix your recording feature, and I will change my review on this app, while your at it, remove the Pro out of ProCam since professional cameras really don’t decide when it wants to save something or not.

Used to be really awesome. This camera app used to work really well, but lately it has become unreliable. I have reinstalled it twice, but it has still crashed and destroyed pictures I really wanted. Whenever I shoot multiple RAW or TIFF photos the app tends to not handle the load very well and proceeds to act very clunky. During those times it looks like it saves photos but all of mine were black. If I quit and restart the app then the photos save normally again. This has happened on more than one occasion which means I now have to hope they update the app and improve it. If I take photos normally like everyone else the app works fine, but if you make the app work hard then it crashes or ruins photos quickly.

Nice but a fatal bug.... Its a really good app for youtubers like me but theres one bad bug... every time I record a video and use the pause button a huge chunk goes missing, then when i record another video, a chunk from that gets cut off and is replaced by the missing chunk from the video before. For example, i record a video at the beach and in the middle of it, I pause the video to go to the ice cream shop and then unpause it, then i eat some ice cream and then pause it to go to a surf shop. When I'm done recording the video and i look at it, the part where i eat the ice cream vanishes into thin air. Then next, i record myself at my house and then, I pause the video to go to my pc and then unpause it and play Fortnite. The part where I play Fortnite goes missing, then me eating ice cream at the beach replaces it. Please fix quick

I Recommend the for Serious Photographers. First, I can honestly say the BEST photos and video I've ever captured were with this App. Did I mention I’ve been using iPhones since the first day the iPhone 1 was available? True! And over time I’ve captured a lot of photo and video memories. I don’t want to dissuade anyone from purchasing this camera app. So but if you’re not the brightest bulb in the chandelier and you ONLY use your camera for selfies, you might want to use the camera you already have on your device. It’s better than you may think. Because if you buy this app, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by all the filters, settings, features and controls. Then you’ll feel cheated because you paid for something you're not going to use again. Next thing you know, you’re right back here giving this app a 1 Star rating and writing a nasty review. So ... purchase the correct App for YOU! 😃

Best camera app ever!. I was hesitant to buy a camera app since there are several really great free ones, but this one is so worth the small amount of money! Love this app so much! Professional features, in-app editing of photos and videos (yes, videos!) with filters or manual editing, RAW and other formats, zooming for both photos and videos (yes, video zoom!), real time sound meter for videoing, overexposure indicator, online user manual that explains things easily even for beginners, so many things, so much more! I’d put this app up against any other camera app! Until iPhones come out with movable a aperture, this app is the next best thing and makes the absolute most of what the iPhone can do. I get compliments all the time about my photos, and when people borrow my phone to take a photo for me, they immediately comment on how much better it is than their own app. You can tell such a difference! Again, it’s totally worth getting this app! I can’t say enough good things about it!

48mp ProRAW is awesome! 3x, not so much. The new update for this app is really good in terms of image quality and detail seen on the 48mp images from my 14 pro max. I have had this app for a long time, but didn’t use it much do to semi-average image quality. Now the details I see from the 48mp is insane. I have been using NOMO RAW2 which has the best image quality by far… however this app looks very similar. The 3x camera quality needs a lot of work. ProRAW ISO 640 and above indoors is terrible!! The iPhone default camera at 1600 ProRAW is so much cleaner. Lots of blotchy textures and noise seen on the 3x camera indoors with medium ISO ranges when using this app. So, 48mp is great (1x camera), but please fix the 3x camera quality, it’s bad. I’m not a huge fan of the 3x camera, Apple really needs to use a much larger sensor for the 3x.

Its ok, has some bugs.. Within 5 minutes of installing this I ran into a bug that was only able to be resolved by deleting and reinstalling the app. That’s not good QA. Controls are average, for example the Increase and Decrease buttons are tiny arrows at the end of a slider bar, a very small target. Has most of the manual features for general camera use. RAW mode is available, but don’t believe the hype about quality. There’s almost nothing to be gained by shooting raw mode if you take mostly “normal” photos. There may be some technical photos that would benefit. Had I been able to preview this app, I would not have bought it. Six bucks is not much, but relative to similar apps it is more expensive.

Somewhat disappointed. I was looking forward to having a camera app that enables a tiff format. I did a test in the following light situation: living room, 10pm, incandescent overhead light, bright enough to read a book). I used both the Procam app and the native iPad camera app to see a side-by-side comparison. I have an iPad 2017 that does not support RAW. I had high hopes for the Procam app, but the pictures that were shot with the native iPad app were much clearer. I tried many more tests, varying iso's, shutter speeds and white balance. I consistently found that in the above light situation, Procam had problems focusing sharply. I photographed objects that were only 30 inches away as well as objects that were 9 feet away. I even did a closeup shot of my knee from about 15 inches away. In all instances, Procam did not focus well. Shots were also grainy even with low ISO settings. The native iPad camera app focused very well with no problems, and did not have the grain problems. As far as I'm concerned, there is no point in having high resolution format capability like tiff if I cannot focus sharply. I would like to have my money refunded.

Had to repurchase to make work w iPhone XS. I had one of the earliest versions of ProCam. When I upgraded from iPhone 7 to XS, ProCam made me repurchase the app. Not cool they dropped their earliest users and made us repurchase. Update: after purchasing the latest version (6) from the first version(1) I find this app to be very confusing, and I had used it for at least five or so years. It is confusing to the point that my photos are messed up and I miss out on photo opportunities while traveling, or special moments that have now gone by. I’ve been using the new version for a month or so and I regret purchasing the upgrade. I pretty much don’t take pictures any more. I will look for a new app and wish I could get my repurchase money back.

Not a fan. The interface is overwhelming and often the tips don't make sense or maybe are wrong? For example it says push the AE-L button but I see no such button on the interface. This happened with most functions and a few "buttons" the app said to push but I didn't see them. After 5 minutes of use I requested a refund. You really have to be into fussing with settings to use this type of app over the standard stock camera. At end of the day the hardware is still the same. This app doesn't make such a difference it's worth the hassle (and likely missing your shot due to it being slower cause your messing with all these settings) over just point and shoot when using a smartphone camera. I gave it 2 stars because folks seem to enjoy it who read all the manuals and tutorials on how to use it. But honestly the popup tips need work and accuracy. how about a starter screen that circles all these "buttons" or have the popup tips highlight these invisible buttons.

Great Camera App for Photogrphers. Great app for beginning and professional photographers, the toolbox is extensive and there are just too many great things about this app to list. This is not a beginners app, unless your willing to spend a little time with the App. Your photo’s will be superior to the Apple Camera App. The Apple camera app is a simple point and shoot with very small barely present toolbox. I understand why Apple made their camera so easy to use. Most people don’t know anything about editing.

Not saving videos! Don’t use this app!. Edit I’ve been using this app for over a year now, originally it started to not take photos when trying to take one, which was a quick fix of just trying to take a few more and hope it actually takes one. It’s been doing the same with video also, but what used to be easy to notice that the screen would go dark when trying to record video, now it does not change at all and has the appearance that it is actively recording, it counts the time and has red text. When you finish your video and check for it, it’s not there. This issue didn’t happen for about 6+ months, it was great that the developers seemed to have fixed it, but it just did it to me again on an extremely important drawing tutorial video I was recording for my business. I recorded a 2.5 hour segment of drawing footage that is now lost and I literally have to do my whole drawing again! The tutorial has to be a complete tutorial so it doesn’t matter that I had 1 hour of early footage, 2.5 hours is gone! This is the last straw for me, I am never going to use this app again. What a waste of money, spend your money on an app that actually works and doesn’t cost you 3+ hours of hard work you can’t get back!

Amazing Quality. There are too many features to go through each in detail here. Many of them you may find useful and some maybe not. But either way it’s covered. If you take the time out to teach yourself the functions you won’t want to take another picture with Apple camera app. Shooting in RAW or any of the provided file extension types opens up a world to the user that wasn’t possible with camera phone photography before. Dark or bright light shots can be handled effortlessly once you get used to the layout of the adjustments within the app. This app allows you the means to increase the quality of your art with ease.

A powerful tool!. An amazing app with pro grade granual control to take your mobile photography to the next level. I love that even in video mode you can lock in the shutter speed to best fit the desired frame rate. Even at 24fps you can actually set the shutter to 1/48! My only caveat at the time now owing the iPhone XR is that portrait mode for the rear camera needs to be improved. It seems to work but the viewfinder is always out of focus when shooting which makes it tricky to frame my shot. Anyhow I'm sure this can be addressed sooner or later.

I like it a lot.. I have only used it a couple hours when I was prompted to write a review. So far, things have been very good. I would like to see a couple of tweaks. When you are looking at the photos you’ve taken, apparently one can’t just single tap on the camera icon to go back to taking photos. This is in place elsewhere as a safety feature which I love, but it is not necessary here. Also if you are viewing a photo and go outside of the app and delete that photo, the app will crash. No big deal, but it would be nice if the app handled that more elegantly. Above all though, I’d love to have the option of making the grid lines black. I take most of my photos with a white background and the white grid lines are almost useless under such circumstances. All in all, I am very happy, well worth the price. If I could just turn the grid lines black or at least a dark color….

iOS dock worthy. ... meaning I have Phone, Maps, Music & this app in my dock; because I want to launch this often and because Apple locks in their app from the lock screen & control center. This is by far the easiest app to use that also offers 10x the control of the stock camera app. It’s easy to use and every couple weeks I discover something new. There are a 1000’s off camera apps and I still have about 6 on my phone (some are single purpose some are just interesting... like Darkr). ProCam is still my favorite and no offense to Apple but if their app is open it’s either because I was rushed or made a mistake. (I think Apple is probably ok with the “mistake” label, otherwise they’d let me set a default app.)

Great for shooting DSLR kind of photos. Native camera app is almost fully automatic. It is great in most scenarios. But it has restrains under certain situation like low ambient light. That’s where this app shines. I just came back from a vacation in Greece. I took many photos during dinner, where I wanted to avoid using flash for the sake of image quality and other guests. This app gave me complete control over shutter speed, ISO and depth to make it possible. I hand-held my iPhone, so shutter speed had to be faster than 1/8 at least. It would be impossible to control this with native app I think. Another great example is controlling depth. I take photos of small insects and plants. Native camera app would always mess up the depth with auto focusing. (I don’t blame it btw. It’s called auto focusing after all.😅) While this app has like laser coloring to mark out the objects in focus. It is precise enough for my use. I found it actually more convenient than using my DSRL for such close-up shots. All in all, a very nice free app gives me DSLR camera experience!

Long term value + saves bucket list photo.. I bought this app years ago and unlike so many other apps, it is still being updated and add immense improvements to the newest iPhone. All without having to pay for an upgrade in over 4 years of use and iPhone hardware upgrades. That said, I almost wish I could pay for it again. What drove me to write this review was that the built in iOS camera app WOULD NOT focus as my plane was flying near Mt. Everest en route to Kathmandu. Can you imagine the frustration of the camera thinking I wanted to take photos of the scratches on the airplane window and not the worlds highest peak?! Procam to the rescue! I opened it up and switched to manual focus. The magnified center with peak detection allowed me to precisely, carefully, and quickly focus directly on the Himalayan peaks resulting in me not missing one of the most memorable “out the window” shots of my lifetime. There are many other examples where having full control has saved the shot, but this one by itself was worth the purchase. Thank you developers of Procam for saving my “bucket list” shot!

Only great when it actually works. I’m beside myself. I practice amateur astronomy and smartphone astrophotography. And twice now, using two different iPhones (XR and now 13 Pro Max), your app has failed me. I like to shoot the International Space Station through my telescope. This requires lots of careful planning and time-consuming setup. And it’s all for nothing because your app is unreliable. I am so disappointed. Specifically, I use video mode with manual controls. I hit record, and I know it’s recording because I can see the time counter ticking away, and once the space station passes over, I hit the stop button. And then the video is just nowhere. It doesn’t save to the app or to my phone’s camera roll. I even did a test video of 1.5 minutes tonight, before the big show was about to start. That video saved flawlessly. But the 1-min video that actually captured the station (because I saw it in the live view) didn’t save at all. I am so done with this. This moment was going to be my saving grace after a long crappy day. Instead, my day was only made worse. If it only happened once, I could write it off as a fluke. But now I’ve been screwed twice. This is incredibly upsetting and there’s just no reason for it

Can’t export Timelapse. So, I recently purchased this app with the intent of recording 4K timelapses. Then, stupidly, I decided to purchase the 4K Max option for an addition price. So I leave my phone outside, taking a picture every 5 seconds, for about 45 minutes. This would equate to around a 9 minute video at 4K 60fps, which would be a few GB of storage. I currently have nearly 20 GB of storage, so there should be no issue. Then I go to export the timelapse to my camera roll, and a loading circle flashes for half a second, and then nothing else happens. I can’t even export the video, so this was a waste of $10. Edit: I still don’t feel like the normal 4K option does anything except for upscaling. I took two similar timelapses using the native camera and ProCam, and the native app did a much better job with the quality. The “4k” timelapse had a terrible amount of noise. Also, when I exported my 4K Max timelapse had terrible quality when I transferred it to my Mac. It looked worse than 720p. Any tips for fixing that? It’s possible that I just don’t understand your app interface, so I’ll keep trying to figure it out.

Amazing & absolute must have app. It’s rare when I’m really blown away by an app (paid or free) and there are many where one wonders if it is even worth space on their phone (like some poorly developed apps that don’t really provide good function or UI or say on the other case Facebook with it’s 300MB install size). This is easily one of the absolute best and must have apps out there for its category/purpose. Have had it for years and I have always been impressed. Really does help unlock the features & power of your iPhone camera. There are really a ton of great other features I do suggest investing the time to look at their tutorials/documentation to understand & take advantage of all of the features and functions under the hood. Aside from all of the awesome pre/post features and controls for photo and video - one simple thing that is absolutely my favorite for years is the ability to easily control video resolution and size. Often for web purposes, Ultra4k, 1080p, and even 720p aren’t required in some situations for videos (when traveling for example where taking lots of photos, panos and videos, sometimes we may need to document something by video and take longer videos but don’t need to output them in high res), this is great to capture moments but helps save space rather than simply using iOS’ default built-in resolutions.

Amazing app. This is like having a DSLR without the weight! Love it!

App crashes continually. Hi, I purchased this app 2 hours ago. All it has done is crashed and made my phone lag. I deleted the app, so I would like a refund. Please perform the necessary steps in order to make this happen.

Keeps crashing as soon as I press control button. I am on ios 12.2 and don’t intend to updated my iOS. ProCam keeps crashing as soon as I touch the controls. Use do be stable now it isn’t.

Can't Find In-App Purchases. I literally cannot find them anywhere. When I tap on the locked options, such as 4K Ultra HD Video, only a "Back" and "Restore" button is shown. Consequently I currently hate this app for making me waste $8 just to find that I cannot get the in-app purchases I want. Not happy at all.

Best Pro camera app for Iphone !. After a year of using this app a got familiarised and now I’m getting the full pack of possibilities for my photography.

Unstable App. I purchased this app due to good reviews however I am disappointed that the app constantly crashes. Hope the developer can fix these issues.

Good app but slow loading. Been using it for a few months so far and notice that from a few weeks so far its taking a few seconds to open the app if its closed, it’s annoying if you want to take a fast pic. Anyways the app is really good, would like to have the shutter speed increase a little bit without going to low exposure mode, idk maybe up to 1 or 2 secs max

Rubbish.... App doesn't save your video files at the exact precise frame rate used in standard broadcasting, which makes editing at conventional frame rates impossible. Also, considering I paid for the timelapse add-on and it causes the app to freeze every single time, this app is completely useless. Don’t waste your money.

Procam not running with my iPad pro. I have been using this app for quite a while in my phone. Recently I have installed this on my iPad pro too but the screen is black and I could not click good from front and back camera of mine. Does This app doesn't support iPad pro?

Great app!. Took some great night sky photos that were not possible with the built in camera app. A shoe makes a passable phone tripod...

Top app. As uses wide range of RAW files. Pity no panorama.

Can’t see much improvement. Can’t see much improvement from the inbuilt camera app, though this app promise to provide DSLR quality photos. Complete waste of money indeed. Disheartened

If you take your camera seriously, you will love this app. This app has lots of features which make full use of the iPhone's camera. Two of the most useful are the night mode for the still camera and low frame rate mode for the video camera. Being able to take exposures of one second at night brings out the lovely tones of dark streetscapes and gives minimal noise. Even in light polluted cities, you can see stars in your photos on a clear night if you select 1/2 or 1 sec exposures. There are lots of other features like time lapse etc. which would be useful for Vine.

Great app but can’t get the in apps. I saw another person mention this but I can’t work it out. If I go to the App Store all it says is OPEN

Pro Cam 8 app. The best & lighter & cheaper DSLR in the market! It has more functionality & buttons to choose from! But out of that, there is no way I can email the developer of this app! I tried their emails already from the main app & their IG account. My email just keeps bouncing back to me!

IPhone’s stock camera app still does a lot better in low light. Compared both stock camera app photo and procam photo side by side on MacBook Pro, and stock app still a lot better. Plenty of details coming through and lesser noise compared to procam. Don’t recommend especially if you’ve got the 11pro

Almost perfect...but.. This is a great app for sure. I know my way around a camera so i needed something that would put all the controls in my hands. This app does that in a great way. Also worth mentioning is one crucial benefit - it remembers how you had your settings when you re-start the app. So every time I fire it up to shoot a quick video, it's set to 24fps just how I like it. BUT. It is currently suffering what I can only assume is a bug. Turning video stabilization on and off has no discernible effect on the clips I shoot. Whereas the iPhone 6 (not 6 plus) has a native video stabilization that is amazingly good. So for that reason I am forced to use only the native camera app, because the quality difference that the stabilization brings is too large to give up.

Beautiful app!. I love this app with a passion. Long exposure are great to get shots of northern lights, and the adjustability of everything is wondrous. However, I’ve recently been having frequent crashes (especially when attempting long exposure shots). Using an iPhone 6+. In spite of crashes still my go to app when I need to take a more technical photo, or the light requires longer exposure.

Fantastic!. Much better than the stock camera app. Could we get the delete dialogue window to appear in landscape mode when the phone is in landscape, instead of it appearing sideways?

No instructions on how to use. Probably suitable for those who have skills in photography and understand the different settings.

Amazing. It blows my mind how much it changes the quality

Rather annoying. Bought this app and started using and once you start it starts requesting more money for different sections once inside A bit of BS

Keeps crashing. It keeps crashing when changing settings within app on iPhone XS Max. It is not a RAM issue as there are no background apps running. I tested it a few times but it still keeps crashing. Please fix it.

External mic bug. Works great - love the audio meter however… when you plug in an external mic and confirm that it is indeed the audio source, it resets to the built in phone microphone upon hitting record. It proceeds to do this continually for every successive video. You have to hit record and then plug in the external mic for it to work. It would be also be great if there was some kind of visible indicator of the current audio source.

Amazing! recent issues. gives me errors when trying to take photos, also my haptic motor in my iphone x goes haywire now, when ever i use this app??

Review prompt. Asking for review obstructing the UI

No plug-in mic support. Doesn’t support plug-in external mic, like the Rode Go.

Full screen. Can you make the camera full screen on iPhone X or is that not possible yet?

Just gets better. I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus in place of my digital camera. This app gives me immediate control over every aspect of my exposures because I see them on the screen. It’s quick, it’s accurate and I endorse it unreservedly. So will you.

Fantastic camera app, no shutter release via volume button :(. Awesome camera app to replace native option on iPhone. Has all the necessary features plus more to enhance any moment that needs capturing. Just one little disappointing thing for me, in the new update the shutter release via volume buttons is removed. This was one of the features that I loved and used all the time. With all the options to turn features on and off why can't this be added to a menu??????!!! Please fix!!!!!

Crash and crash. Always crash when I try to Save

Wicked app. Love it

Waste of money. It doesn’t work with iPhone 13. Can save videos, it gets stuck

Serious about photography.... this is the app.. I had my camera bag stolen earlier this year. It contained my much loved Canon EOS5D Mark III and L series lenses. What's this got to do with reviewing ProCam? Well, I couldn't bring myself to buy another DSLR. So instead I downloaded a couple of apps for my iPhone 7 Plus camera. ProCam smashed my expectations of an apps ability to control the iPhone camera settings. ProCam is a perfect and only accompaniment necessary to obtain control over the iPhone with fantastic results. ProCam is so good it renders DSLs cumbersome and redundant.

Excellent app, BUT…. Annoying that we can no longer trigger the shutter with the volume buttons. This was a feature in the past, so not sure why it’s disappeared with recent versions.

ProCam. Well thought about professional tool when learn fluidaurum moving stabilizing glow of analogue, digital lvl 3 versitilitay,of appleying quick intuitive adjustings of true narturenurture of subject ,sensor, sensitive field depth🖇♋️♓️,thanx, bliss thee,XAM

Shoot TIFF to unlock the BEST Editing Potentials!. The app itself can shot lossless RAW or TIFF. But this app only has limited editing options with its own RAW files; much much more functions editing own TIFF or 3rd parties’ PNG files! The editing features of this app are almost as good as Adobe Lightroom decktop version! Otherwise this app should be 5/5!

Overcharging, want a refund. I have purchased this app, while it lives up too what I wanted, I’m very disappointed that I’ve been charged twice in less than a week. I would like a refund, as this app is expensive and not worth the money if this is going to keep happening.

Fantastic ap. Really is a prestige app, has so many options and controls for your camera, if you want to play around with different shots/video options this is great

Ridiculously limited shutter speed. For $10 you expect to get full potential out of your phone. Only allows 1/4” maximum shutter :/

Songs not loading. I have a song in my Apple Music app that is downloaded to my device yet it still asks me to download it from iCloud. This is making it impossible to put songs on clips as you can only use Apple Music as the source library

Neglected?. This used to be in the top 5 photo apps but I just reloaded it on my new phone and it has some issues. The main one is that is crashes when trying to delete a photo. Secondly, the UI needs some work when doing long exposures. I tried to make the exposure quite low, but it didn’t work and ended up with 100% white shots. As it’s unlikely anyone wants that to happen, why not make a low exposure the default when choosing long exposure or light trail?

Don’t bug me for reviews. Fog lights up the air in my house is not a very nice day morning and you have a good tomorrow morning I will

Dual Lens Shot focusing issue. I totally LIVE the ability to take both 2 lens result at the same time however, similar to 3D shot, the focusing is often wrong for subjects that are quite close to the camera. Would be nice to have focusing works correctly. The dual lens shooting is great for faraway scene however!

Great app, can get really nice photos. Easy to use and great photos. Worth it

Just started losing recordings. This worked great for a bit, then recently started to lose longer recordings.

A pro camera app for all. This App is just the best I personally have purchased and used among the many others I have invested in. It allows you to shoot in Various formats including RAW. The video function is awesome, if not better than my handy cam. Long exposure night shots turn out real well, just make sure you have a tripod or hard surface.

Undecided. I can’t figure out how to shoot raw images on my iPhone X. I do not have the same options that my mate does on his iPhone 7 Plus. I also can’t click the options underneath where it says tiff because instead of going into those options, it focuses on the screen where I click.

App freeze in viewing taken photos. I hope you are going to make an update to fix this bug or I want money back

Awesome!. This app is one of my favourites! It has so many features and now with iOS 10 I can take RAWs and edit them right in the app. The features available for the iPhone 7 plus are also amazing, it supports the second lense and even creates new features like 3D photos. Only criticism I have about the app is sometimes the UI can feel a bit clunky or slow, and I wish that would have an overhaul.

Excellent manual focus. This camera is great, for getting the perfect shot! I’ve tried almost all of the camera apps available. You won’t be disappointed with this one!

Great app but numerous crashes. Brand new iPhone 8 with ios11. Crashes a few times in the first hour of use. Would love to love this cause it’s otherwise great.

Excellent, mais.... Transforme mon IPhone en véritable appareil photo. Lis consignes d’utilisation ne sont pas claire. Un outil de retouche serait un atout.

A new bug. I’ve been using this application for 5 months.. But it’s been 2 weeks that I’m not able to capture any image! Videos and burst mode and every feature are working except shooting a normal RAW, TIFF, SMRT, and AEB. Works for like 2 to 5 images then it stops capture.. simply the white button that you press to capture a photo stops pressing. Stops working. Sometimes it doesn’t even work.. Please fix this bug ASAP!

Slow shutter doesn’t have RAW?. I downloaded this app to use in astrophotography because it had “Amazing slow shutter quality” but it doesn’t even support raw, tiff, or even AEB! Why is that?

I Enjoy the app! It’s my main for photos!. Have you guys considered or given any thought of anamorphic lens compatibility and aspect ratios for video?

Raw Button. The button to take RAW pictures used to be beside Tiff at the top of the screen, where is it now to engage taking RAW pics?

Nearly perfect camera app. Nearly perfect! I am looking for few improvements in video mode: allow disable audio recording, bit rate selection, save the ae/wb lock values settings so that I don’t need to set it every time start the app.

Excellent.. I like the app and highly recommended. I don’t give it 5 stars because it doesn’t recognize my plug & play wireless microphone. So, if I want to film, walk away and talk it won’t record my voice.

No mechanism to have long exposure ?. I can’t change my exposure to bulb or 30 secs, the lowest i can get is 1/1 sec

The best !. This product is magic !

Great app. The app is one of the bests in the market.

Charging for June. Why am I charged another 8.91 for June ! How do I cancel this one 😂

Garbage. Keeps crashes and constantly keeps saying allow access to camera even though it already has access, refund??

Great App. Better then Apple Camera App.

Love this app. One fantastic camera app, I use it all the time. The geotag and copy write on the photo is awesome, just wish the geotag included provinces in Canada

Love it for my SE 2020. The SE has pretty much the same camera as the 11 pro which is part of why I bought it, but there’s no night mode, and u can only take portraits of people. This app fixes that and it makes the camera sooo much more feature rich on the SE. Kinda closes the gap between the pricier iPhone and this value edition. Takes a bit of a learning curve to navigate the UI but definitely worth it 10/10 recommended Love it!

Functionality is there but poor UI. The functionality is there but the UI is not very discoverable. For example the horizon meter makes the phone vibrate every time you are at the horizon which drives me insane because it vibrates all the time. Also, even though I am proficient in photography, by comparing the results with the Apple default app, my photos taken with this consistently look better and sharper with the latter. If for some reason you need RAW from your phone, this app works well, but is slow to use. I have to reluctantly give the win to the more basic Apple app!

One major issue that is a show stopper. You can't save directly to your camera roll!!!!!! I suspect this might be an apple limitation which is why this is the last iPhone I will ever own. So while I can't fault the dev's on this, I can say the save to cam roll restriction mucks up my workflow so much I stopped using the app.

Pro cam. Great app, Love it, best one you can get for your money!!

Color temperature lock failure. The color temperature lock worked very well before, I tried so many camera software, Pro cam8 is the only one that does the best in color temperature lock, but since the release of iphone 14pro, Pro cam can no longer lock the color temperature, even if you lock it, after shooting The color temperature shifted immediately after a photo, if you fix this bug, I will immediately change it to five stars

Great Camera but laggy at times. I’m giving this 4/5 because it lags once you snap a picture. I’m on iPhone XR and I have my images set to be saved as heic vs jpeg. The quality is great but when you hit the button to open the gallery, massive lag starts and takes you to a different folder inside the gallery. Please fix, I hate lag especially on the latest phones.

Excellent. Great app to use, love how you can adjust your camera settings pretty simply. However, sometimes the app won’t let you change certain settings at times for no real reason I can see (i.e changing the aspect ratio, sometimes I can change it sometimes I can’t) otherwise really easy to use and excellent for catching those picturesque moments without carrying your DSLR around 24/7.

No RAW or HEIC Support. Doesnt save photos in RAW and seriously lags to take photos. Terrible support for dual lenses, not worth the hefty price. Many other camera apps that offer much more capability.

Best version to date!. I really liked all the versatility of the old version but did not like the interface aa it seemed too loaded and busy, which to me was distracting. The new streamlined look is great! All the functionality of before but with ease of use. Great update!

HDR. It will be Great to have auto HDR.

One of the best.. ProCam is one of my must-use photo apps. Allows me to control every detail of a shot, and is dead easy to use.

I had a problem that was fixed within 26 hrs. By simply submitting through their website , an explanation of the problem I encountered, it was solved very fast. The issue was a black screen appearing when switching between 1x and 2x photos while using the bracketing group feature under AEB with raw photos. Providing screen captures and other data details through email communication allowed them to resolve the issue. A new version was deployed which I updated and this solved the issue. The issue was due to some change made to the iOS versions by Apple since 15.7.#. I use iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 16.4.1 Many thanks to the team for their support.

ProCam App for SandMarc. The app worked for about a month with or without SandMarc lens After IOS update Mar-15/16-2022 the app works occasionally. Have contacted both SandMarc and ProCam Response from SandMarc.. contact ProCam Attempted to reach ProCam twice with NO RESPONSE….. Not sure why SandMarc doesn’t have their own program…. Not pleased with ProCam “ be careful “ as their customer support a right is rated at ZERO!!!!

Cannot zoom. There are options to switch lens, but I couldn’t figure out how to zoom to say 1.5x. This is so intuitive in the default camera app, yet I can’t figure out how to do that on this app even after looking online.

Excellent product. This is a great app. Provides real exposure readings.

Jerky camera. Dont buy waste of money

Working as expected. All cameras including front facing and extra-wide can do long exposure in my iPhone 11 Pro Max now, saved my money for upgrading to iPhone 12.

Crashed and I lost everything. I was filming consecutively for 6 hours and when I went to save the app crashed and I lost everything. I’m so mad.

Shutter speed. I purchased this app which I thought to be a very good purchase for the price and the features. I purchased the app in order to use it for intentional camera movement photography only to discover that the maximum shutter speed is one second. That is just so short for all sorts of purposes. Disappointed.

Limited manual adjustment in full 48MP resolution. I don’t understand why you can’t adjust shutter speed and ISO in full resolution of 48 MP. You get a message saying “Manual exposure is not supported for 48MP capture.” You however can in the other option of 12 MP. This is a huge problem and I was not aware of it. I wouldn’t have bought the app if I knew ahead of time.

Lots of pro options. Honestly, I use the iPhone built in camera app for any regular photo or video, but when it comes to a customized photo or video, this is my favourite app. The time laps option is amazing. Night mode is good. Slow Shutter is good. Image stabilizer for taking a video while moving is also amazing. Last but not least, the continuous improvements and adding new features makes me use this app more regularly.

Pro cam. It’s very nice that I can control more things. But I do suggest to make portrait for video but you can also as well do it normally

Making iphone too hot. Very disappointed! I compared a couple of camera APPs and chose ProCam8, however only after a few minutes trying, it makes iPhone 13 Pro Max very hot, which I’ve never seen it on the iPhone camera. My phone battery capacity is still 100% after one year using. I hope my battery won’t die by this app.

Problem with the Apple Watch version. On the Apple Watch, the app doesn’t connect. It keep telling me to open the app on the phone , even if the app is already open, to complete the setting. Try to erase the app both on the watch and the iphone and reload the app, but that doesn’t help either.

Please add HDR Panoramic/360 stitching. This app would be 5 stars with that. If we could make HDRI images for VFX industry. That would be perfect. You’d get a lot of purchases.

HDR. I just bought this application and why don't I have HDR, yet we see it in certain videos... I have a 15 Pro Max...Thank you

Awesome app, but..... My only complaint is no full screen option to see more of the picture

Videos won’t save. Took a 25 minute Timelapse only to have the app stuck on “saving” for over 20 minutes and then nothing. This keeps happening to me! I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB so plenty of space!

Telephoto lens camera missing. I bought this but where is the camera button so I can choose my lens… I bought this for that. Please help.

👍👍. Very good!

Not yet. I don't know why I am unable to use features In my 11 pro. Each photos and videos take at least 5 secs for photos and 25 seconds or more depending file size to save. Before i purchase I went through all reviews I didn't see any bad reviews, but for me it's below average. May be developers can help me

Ads started showing up. Loved this, paid for it, and now ads have started to show up. Will be finding something else, bummer.

RAW?. Even if I select RAW to take pictures, the photographies end up in Jpeg.. dissapointing !!! I bought this app for the RAW capabilities for post processing in Photoshop

Not a real manual mode!. I was looking for a camera app that offers a real manual mode to be able to fully control shutter speed. In the iPhone native camera app, you can shoot raw up to 10 or 15 seconds shutter speed, but you can’t control that, the camera app will control that based on lighting situation. With this procamera app, i can control the SS with raw shooting up to 1 second ONLY! They have long exposure shooting mode that supports longer time but it doesn’t shoot raw, its just a processed stacking photos. So after buying this app, i can say it’s useless in my case, I will stick with the iphone camera app. I hope i can get a refund.

Took great eclipse pictures with this app.. During the eclipse I tried taking pictures with the built-in app, but it's attempts to automatically adjust focus and exposure kept getting in the way. I did a quick search and this app was best reviewed, so I ponied up for it and I'm glad I did. I didn't have time for a big learning curve, but it only took a few seconds to figure out how to lock down exposure and autofocus to get the shots I wanted. Worth the $5.

Won’t allow me in. I bought this app yesterday and had lots of fun with it, its a great camera app! But for some reason when I went into the app after being off of it for a couple hours, it’s said that I needed to enable camera access which I had done when I first got it. Now it won’t allow me into the app, I’ve gone to settings and checked both camera and photos for permission and their both on. I don’t know how to fix it, I tried re starting my phone but that didn’t help either. Any insight on how to fix this would be great, I really wanted to give this app a better review.

Great but keep crashing!. I have been using this app for a few years now, and I have nothing to say other than it’s a great app. However, recently, the app has been crashing a lot. I used to be able to record 1 or 2 hours time-lapse video at (4K Max - 60fps). But now, I can’t even record 5 minutes time-lapse video. I have followed the instructions and the recommendations, and the app still crashing.

Disappearing videos. The app has a bug. When recording a long video with pauses (using the app’s “pause” button, one of the main reasons I bought this app) the app sometimes outputs some previously recorded video. In other words not the current video but some earlier video is recorded into the camera roll. Evidently some old video is stored in apps cash and can reside there for a long time. The app developer should issue refunds for moments which end up being missed due to this bug.

It's a great app, but something seems off.... Hello! I've been using this app for awhile, and it's amazing! But I've noticed some things recently that happen only in the app. I have an iPhone 7, I don't know if it's optimized for it or not, but if I'm at 100%, I can open the app and use it, but I find that my phone either dies or crashes in under 30 minutes of use. It KILLS my battery, and I can't see why. I guess I'll still use the app, but the problem is something to look into... Thanks!

Unreliable save = useless. Can’t trust this app. Running on iPhone 11 Pro Max as fixed cam for shooting worship sets during Covid. Multiple times this app has failed to save the recorded video (60% free storage on phone, 80% battery). Can’t trust it. Can’t recommend it. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH ANY MONEY. Takes great video when it works, settings are easy to use. But again, can’t trust it for anything important. Would like a refund. In response to the developer: the App isn’t crashing, it is simply not saving the file. It looks as if it’s recording properly however when you press stop the file is not saved.

Need a manual on the website. I am far from a professional photographer and need some help with using this app to its fullest. One thing that would help would be a full fledged manual. There is none. I found a short blog on the website that covers some stuff. But the developer say more information can be found on Instagram. I have no desire to join Instagram. Especially just to get some tutorials. Please post a downloadable manual on your website.

Powerful camera app, could use some more explanation. I really like this app and love the expanded photo capabilities it has over the default camera app. An important feature to me is that it opens quickly. I have had 3rd party camera apps that lagged when opening which can result in missed shots. I left off 1 star because I have some issues that I would love if the Dev could respond to me about. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to use the Portrait mode. Everything is either completely in focus, or EVERYTHING is cloudy. And when I go in to edit, nothing seems to happen. My second question-is there an option to change back image capture to JPEG from HEIC? I know HEIC is Apple’s new standard for photos, but I switched the stock app back to JPEG capture and I would like to have that back in this app as well. Thanks!

This is what I expected. This app is exactly what I expected. You can control the ISO, shutter speed and WB in a manual mode. You can also shoot long exposure (which some paid apps don’t have), portrait, in raw formats, and change aspect ratio of a photo. I don’t shoot videos a lot but having the function makes it a complete upgrade (and substitute) of the Apple built in camera app. Worth the bucks!

Great app. Feature request: Please correct how the app responds to iPhone rotation. I use this app to record in front of a green screen. While recording, I mirror the iPhone screen to an Apple TV hooked to a monitor so I can see what is being recorded. Unfortunately, even though my phone is horizontal, the app sends mirroring data as if it were vertical so it shows up in an incorrect orientation on my screen. This doesn’t happen in the native camera app. The same problem happens when looking at video that I just took. I have to take the phone off of my tripod in order see the videos I have taken because the interface of the app doesn’t recognize that the phone is horizontal. Thank you.

Great Quality App. Overall I want to just say if you're are looking for more control and options over the regular camera app, this is definitely the way to go. I have no doubts you won't be disappointed if you get this camera app for doing any cinematography from your iPhone, and on top of that it pairs beautifully well with the iPhone 7+ telephoto lens providing even more options then before. Great App Would Recommend To Any Friend

Perfect addition to the very short list of great cameras…. …and also extensible image editors, which means if you already shot anything - with any app including this one - that’s in your Photos App, you can open it through ProCam via that little icon at the bottom of the editing functions. Maybe there are minor issues remaining after the current update, but they are simply not the point.

used to be great. Wonderfully great when it works. But crashes too often. Have read the developer responses about it being a RAM issue but 1) didn't have same issues with previous versions, 2) I don't have memory issues with any other app, and 3) I've done memory clearing immediately before using and deleted and reinstalled app but it still crashes frequently whether I'm using jpg or tiff. Have lost too many pics because of this so probably just going to stop using this and instead use more reliable cameras with lesser quality. Perhaps if you have the very latest bleeding edge phone and OS it's better, I don't know. [iPhone 6+, iOS10]

True control over the digital camera capabilities of your iPhone. I have been using this app for at least five years and it just keeps getting better and better. If you want have the flexibility of a digital full size camera then you have found the app to give the tools. RAW and Tiff outputs for maximum performance.

A good app with a few bugs. I have been using this app for over a year. There are two bugs that I have discovered that prevent it from being a 5/5 app. 1) every time I open the app, the first time I hit record, it glitches for a sec then saves a 1 second video, without pressing again. 2) it fails to save videos occasionally. It has deleted 3 videos over the past year, which isn’t a lot, but that number should be 0. All else is great

App can be infuriating. There is so much to like about this app but the little things are driving me nuts: - constant badgering pop ups to rate the app at every step before you have taken one photo - forcing you to sign up for Instagram before it will save a photo - locking you out of certain features until you buy upgrade filters - no advance warning of this. - other pop up windows stop you from saving the photo until you do what the developer wants in terms of feedback, self gratification or taking you in directions you don’t want to go. I am an experienced photographer. I want a more sophisticated photo experience than the standard Apple camera app can provide. I want to take photos, save them and share them. I don’t want the app deciding when it will allow me to do so before I have done some trick or step to keep a developer happy - it’s intrusive and unwelcome. That makes it a fail for the user.

Great and functional, but.... I have been looking for an app that can do a jitter effect similar to the 3D effect that is in this app, but I wasn’t able to find one. I mainly wish that you would be able to take multiple pictures, more than 2, and adjust them to create a longer and similar effect. This isn’t an issue with the app, it is just a request. Besides this, the app works great for a simple dslr camera for an iphone.

Not very good. This app is odd. I really think no matter the settings I use the quality of photos it delivers look worse than the standard camera app. They look like they have more noise, and considerable artifacts that don’t exist in the standard app. Disappointed that the photos look no better or worse than what I already have. I will give it some credit for allowing you to pick some of your own controls, albeit no matter what you do your photo will look worse than the normal camera.

Perpetually unfinished app. When changing any settings within the app, the phone always freezes (I have both 14 pro 1Tb & 14 pro max 256Gb). The 4K Max Videos (a paid-for addition) are recorded at (600 fps ???), and cannot be played back (the videos just stop instantly despite their actual length) 8K time-lapse (a paid-for addition) records only in the HEVC. The other allegedly available formats (ProRes and H.464 set in the settings) crash the app after pressing the “capture” button. Despite the higher resolution (both horizontal and vertical), in the 4K Max mode, the FOV is actually narrower than it is in the regular 4K mode. These three are just A FEW issues with this app that I can briefly discuss. There are many other minor issues that are not worth my time to mention to the sloppy developer. It is mind boggling that the first two issues mentioned above have been around for at least 4 years — and the developer has never seemed to address them.

The Best iPhone Photo App. Have just had the Procam 6 app for a few days. There is a learning curve — not that steep, but it’s there. At the same time, I’ve been experimenting with the native XS app. Last night I took a still-life in HDR with the regular app and, though it initially looked quite good, when I zoomed in, it was all ugly noise in the shadows. Not good enough for any more than texting to Grandma. So, tonight, I set the iPhone on the tripod and shot the scene (low-light) again with Procam 6. I cranked the ISO down to 24 (ISO priority “On” in settings) and the app accommodated with a 1 second exposure. The result from the edited RAW pic was gorgeous. Virtually no sensor noise. I own two other highly-rated camera apps and, though they each have their strengths they do not have Procam’s “zebra stripes” to warn you of clipping. For a relative amateur, as I am, this is worth the price alone.

You’ll Never Use The Stock Camera Again. I used this for a weekend so far recording video and taking pictures from a trip I went on. I have used a regular Dslr in the past so I somewhat know what I’m doing when I am able to change what I’m looking for in a picture. This takes your iPhone from just being an iPhone to being an amazing camera in your pocket. Definitely worth the money and the support staff is extremely helpful.

Enjoying this app so far.... I had an issue with this app crashing. Since it uses a lot of RAM you have to make sure you don't have many other apps open (as per the developers advice). This seems to have resolved the issue. This is a great app with many awesome features. It really shines in the UI, which is critical when shooting photos. I highly recommend.

Great Manual Camera. It’s great, you can fully go manual. It’s helpful when you can control the lighting in a studio for example and keep exposure settings, or use slow shutter for blur effect. Problem: I like to keep the grid on but turn off the horizontal level and super annoying haptic feedback. How? This is distracting when you’re trying to take serious photos.

The camera is awesome, the editing is seriously flawed!. I hate to have to take pictures with the amazing controls on this app only to be super disappointed when editing raw images. The controls are not at all intuitive. Purely as an example- why won't the app allow me to zoom to Full magnification when changing sharpness settings? It's a small screen, I can't tell how much I'd like to sharpen unless I can magnify! 'Done' and 'Save' button on the same screen, why and what does it mean to be done without saving? Seriously guys.

Superlative. If you want an extensive review, they’re out there. This is a quick one. I still have the old ‘Shoot’ on old iPhones, and this is a worthy successor. If you require more than this can control for you (that the iPhone hardware CAN), pick up a real camera. As for our modern ‘instamatic’ iPhone- this is great. I gave out copies for Christmas presents as a way of upping the quality of holiday shots.

All i can say is WOW!!!. I don’t usually write reviews, but i had to with this app. I’m shooting a movie with my mobile phone and this app is the perfect app to shoot with. I have tried other app like filmic pro, mavis pro and all the other app, but this app is the best. The one thing i would advise for the developers to do is add focus peeking on the video side and add a option for 1.33 anamorphic. A+++++ overall.

Great app. Lacks a few things.. I love this app and will give it a 5 star rating! I love how there is a slow shutter option and how you can choose what type of photo you want like light trail or motion blur. I do wish that there was a manual focus option and an auto steadying function. The app might have them but I am not sure but other then that I love the app, it is easy to use, and produces great photos!

Some feedback for this amazing camera app. One thing I would like added is to have the camera cover more of the screen when using 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 like the default camera app on the iPhone. Another feature that would be nice to have is to have photos automatically sorted into a pro cam folder in the iPhone photo app like what Twitter does because it can be a pain to sort all of the photos I took with this app.

Crashes & timelapse doesn’t work. This app was amazing, but recently it’s been crashing often without saving my video files, so I’ve lost several long clips. The timelapse function stopped working a few months ago, it will appear to be recording but never finishes processing the clips. This was very disappointing but I continued to use the regular video mode. Now in the last week, my videos have been crashing as well and I've lost more footage.

My new FILMIC replacement. Filmic Pro ruined my videography experience with their updates and trying to Charge $$ for every feature. ProCam in the other hand was there when I needed it the most, the recording is east, zoom in and out is much easier to use with the delay when pressing down the reticle 🙏🏻. Is there a way I can throw some ideas your way? Like having a Reticle for focusing instead of only being able to tap & have it locked in place.

Good app with some questions. I have a question for the developer. Is there any way to shoot at 24MP? With the stock camera app, when not shooting RAW, the default is a 24MP image on the 1x camera. In the app, there are only options for 12 or 48. I love all the options this app has, but this is an unfortunate trade off. Also, with the drop of ios17, the 1x camera now has a smart ability to auto crop at 24mm, 28mm and 35mm, all at 24MP. Is this a planned feature for the app?

Finally!. Holy snack balls! I’m a professional photographer, so as a working professional in the field, I finally found a simplistic raw shooter thats not good! I was fiddling around with the focus tracking and boy is it good!!!! Wow, I’m so extremely happy. I’ve paid for every camera app that shoots raw, and this app is the one for me! There’s others out there that’s a bit more simple, but this worlds freak for me. And it’s speedy, (for the most part).

This is app doesn’t deserve that amount. I used this app for photography class, it worked well for the first six months then it stoped updated the light balance in real life , when I change the shutter speed it looks good after taking the picture the picture either becomes too dark or too bright. I Have a digital camera now but I like to use my phone when I am not carrying the digital camera. Please Just update or fix this issue of the app not matching the picture you take and what you see before you taking the picture. Thank you If you fix you deserve 4 star.

Great app. I’ve had this for several years now and really like the manual features. About a year ago I stumbled upon the light trail feature and that was fun too. The company website has a tutorial section that is nice as well. I like learning new stuff. I just got the new iPhone 14 pro max and hope they upgrade so I can get the RAW 48 mp. Great app yes I would recommend

My main camera (again!). Update: The problem I described has been solved with much help and diligence from ProCam’s user support. (It was a deeply buried setting on my phone) This now works as it should and is my go to camera now, again! Thank you ProCam. OLD: Used to use this on my 6s and liked it, but since I loaded iOS 11, Pro Cam is unable to save to Photos and is apparently incompatible with the phone now. Beware.

Look Before You Leap. I’m sure this is a good Phone app for still camera work but it is not acceptable for video work. First of all it lacks stabilization which is an absolute must in the world of video. Secondly and equally important the zoom is jittery and not at all acceptable. There are other apps that provide a smooth zoom - Pro Camera. And how foolish is it that these two products have essentially the same name. When you Google for information on the one you get information on the other quite frequently.

Feels Disappointing. I heard a lot of great things about this app I heard it was highly suggested and it won awards and stuff so I wasted 10 dollars and what I got was disappointing it feels so under powered like the editing suite feels old and don’t have simple stuff like real-time filtering And the features it had feels limited you can’t control the flash intensity, The HDR Looks Bad, it feels slow and recording videos are terrible it’s so delayed and doesn’t have stuff like histograms or no tint filter I wish it was like a pro camera app but it feels bad

no joy on iPad. This paid app should not be advertised as being compatible with iPad. It is not. It does start, but locks pad into a portrait mode. Most of the menus are not accessible or misfire due to awkward layout. How can I change the image size? How do I get to the portrait with blurry background mode? As another reviewer has mentioned, the screen tips are useless and there is no in app help. Instead, you can access completely useless tutorials. Useless, because they do not show exactly HOW one can access the features, only discuss the features themselves. Developer should remove false claims of iPad compatibility or develop a proper app that will use native landscape mode.

My go-to camera app. I’ve been using ProCam for so long, I downloaded it because it was a free download from Starbucks. I’ve completely ditched the native iPhone camera app in that time. I love the manual controls, the different aspect ratios, and that they allow us to add copyright information into the metadata of the images we shoot (I’ve tried other camera apps, and ProCam is the only one I’ve come across that allows that).

Lots of bugs. I bought this when it was ProCam4. Worked flawlessly. Since upgrading to ProCam5 however, the app frequently crashes and it will randomly distort the picture I am taking. Instead of 1 picture with the settings I have chosen, the app will take 4 pictures...2 of which are grossly underexposed while the other 2 are grossly overexposed. Only way to fix it is uninstall and the reinstall the app. Will take pictures appropriately for a couple days then starts it all over again. Please address this issue.

Amazing Features that Greatly Improve Photos. This is my GoTo Camera App. So many GREAT FEATURES that really crank up your photos in a number of formats. Great tutorials that’ll help you improve your knowledge of the app and photography in general. They are always improving features and functionality of the app without constantly requiring you to spend more money like many other apps. I LOVE this APP!

I can't record video anymore. Whenever I make a video with multiple cuts in it it doesn't process the video correctly it just doesn't do it it stops and freezes and then I lose the whole video I did almost 10 minutes or 20 minutes of video gone please fix but the reason I'm giving it to star because it does work very well when it has no cuts in it or pauses is what it's called so it works pretty well with no pauses but with pauses it doesn't work 2 stars

Extremely Helpful. I got this app on an online recommendation while traveling. Was skeptical of paying so much for an app as I had doubts the iPhone camera would be capable of producing some of the images I saw. I am completely blown away. I’ve pretty much not touched my Camera the entire time I’ve been traveling. Cannot say enough good things. Will keep experimenting and playing with more features.

Great app. I love this app but I do wish I could preset the settings. That way I don't really have to mess around too much with the focus or shutter speed since I continuously use the same settings but sometimes I end up missing the shot. I probably would use 2 preset settings 1 for macro photos and the other for landscape photos that I know it will be shape every time I Dnt use auto because it takes longer

So many great features but a tad unreliable. This app is a beast. I love the raw format, the autofocus is powerful, and being able to access shutter or iso priority is a godsend. The raw development editor produces strange blurring that sort of looks like focal length blur, but is not inconsistent. The blurring isn’t present in the JPEG and doesn’t appear when developing the same raw photo in Snapseed. I have been using ProCam for shooting and Snapseed for editing, as a result. Also, the app does crash more than it should. I don’t think it’s a RAM issue. I have had it crash with an iPhone 6s, iPhone 7+, and iPhone 8+. It generally won’t crash during shooting, which is fortunate, but it will when changing modes. If the inconsistencies can be smoothed out this app will be perfect.

Best camera on iPhone X. I’ve been diving into this phone since I got it for a great camera app that lets me post edit video as well as photo. This app does that. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the post video edit feature doesn’t let you scrub the video to make sure your edits are the accurate. So the first shot of the video is the only view you have while you edit. To the devs, can you bring in a scrubbing or playback feature while video editing so that I can edit and view the whole thing before saving? Otherwise, this app is 100%.

Suggestion. I love how you get a full display when shooting a video and you’re able to toggle the necessary settings in and out of the display , is there a way to make this similar approach when you toggle to the photo option? The display gets smaller and you get an awful black border at the bottom , I know there is more information to display such as the histogram and , exposure settings ect.. is there away to use the same approach when taking a video. Honestly the only thing I dislike.

What an amazing app!. I’ve been using ProCam since version 3. I have to say.... this is one of the most powerful camera applications I know of! The ability to shoot RAW along with manual settings has been such a great help for when I want to shoot photos somewhere, but I don’t have my actual camera. Most of the time, when I show people my photos, they can’t even tell whether I took it on my Nikon D500 or iPhone. It’s all thanks to ProCam! Thank you guys! You’re awesome!

Amazing except for few things!. I love this app more than it’s competitors! But that doesn’t mean there aren’t things that could be better. For one the UI is poorly outdated. The other problem is the black screen after every action. I don’t want to see a black screen after every picture or action I do. My review will stay 1 stars until these problems are changed. Also when changing from portrait to landscape mode there shouldn’t be a black screen as well. If these problems are fixed this review will be a 5 star. Update the whole app is buggy, until things are fixed and i actually get my moneys worth this app receives 1 star. Show me an actual update worth of 5 stars

Nice App but no user manual. I’m enjoying the general functionality of this app. Although there is an online tutorial that goes into depth on various techniques, there is no actual manual available to explain the many icons and settings available on the app. Some you tap once to get a menu; other options appear with a long hold on an icon. I’m weary of the trial and error method. I had a problem completing a task, contacted tech support and they sent me a series of screenshots but the layout of icons didn’t match the layout or responses of icons on my screen. Not helpful!
