LOST all my family’s favorite recipes. U stole them!. I loved that people from all over the world could share their recipes and their tweaks and thoughts. I found my families very favorites. Today with my son visiting I opened it to make his favorite and it’s all inaccessible. It’s really terrible you couldn’t warn us first. If u had added the magazine subscription as a requirement I would hv bought it because I loved the site… oh yeah I did!! Because I was trying to support u!! I won’t now. Try asking your customers what they want instead of your number crunchers or execs. They are usually out of touch. Bye!

Terrible New App to replace old version. I used the old app for many of my recipes, and would have been willing to pay a small amount to continue using it, but when I went to open the app to access some of my favorite saved recipes, instead I was met with this new version, which requires you to subscribe to a magazine. Needless to say, I will not be subscribing to a magazine and I’m very thankful that I am a hardcopy person and had already printed out all of my favorite recipes in the past and placed them in a binder. So long, All Recipies - whoever’s decision it was to screw over a loyal following for an obvious money grab should be fired. People are really tired of being exploited by companies, so I wouldn’t expect your new app to be a success. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You should change the name. Now that you know that almost everyone who loved the old app hates the magazine app, you should change the name of the magazine, so people who remember “AllRecipes” aren’t disappointed. The magazine app stinks. I tried searching for “cabbage rolls”, thinking that perhaps I could find a recipe that at least resembled the one I remembered seeing in the old app. I got an article on “red cabbage”; several recipes for “cinnamon rolls”; one for “sushi roles” and an article by Chef John on “casse roles” (really). Your responses to everyone’s one-star reviews included “Please be rest assured that you will get access to all your issues included in your account. We will be happy to solve all the problems reported by you.” Will I get the same response? Because my problem is that I can’t access the recipes that I stored in the old app.

Years and years of saved recipes gone. I’ve been an all recipes fan for quite some time. I wasn’t taught to cook growing up as I was a latchkey kid who was fed box/can food. Thanks to All Recipes, I was able to figure out and try all sorts of recipes from good old fashioned people who shared their recipes. I am still not the best cook, mediocre at best, but I don’t burn/undercook or add funky seasoning anymore. With all this said; WHY ON GODS EARTH WOULD YOU DELETE THE ALL RECIPE APP/WEBSITE WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION TO UOUR CUSTOMERS!?!?! There was so many different option you all could have done, like charged a subscription fee? I would have gladly paid .99 or 1.99 a month for it. You have LOST a customer/consumer.

Poor. Loved the AllRecipes App that acted as a recipes finder, database, review based platform for beginner to novice cooks everywhere. It was my go to for all my recipe needs and one I always recommend to friends and family. For those other reviewers with similar issues, this is still available online complete with all your collections and favorite recipes. After my last OS update I could no longer access my saved recipes. In an effort to fix the issue I tried deleting the App only to find a “new” and PAID version for magazine subscribers in its place. How poor! This is wrong to the AllRecipes community on so many levels I cannot even begin to list them all.

You’re using folks recipes for your emails.. People posted their recipes on the old app to share, now you are using them for magazine email solicitations? You all killed the greatest recipe app in all app land and the thing is that the users were the ones who supplied the recipes and did all the work. It was so great for for beginners and kids. Now you’ve resorted to the click bait and endless drivel model? You had a huge opportunity. We’d of paid annual fee. You could have tied into grocery store apps and made millions there. You all need to rethink this decision.

Awful! Bring back the app!!. The AllRecipes app was my go-to app for years … but they broke it. I installed this “magazine” app, but it is USELESS. All I want is the ability to type in something like “turkey tetrazzini” and get some recipe options. What a shame, and so pathetic. I’m really grateful I didn’t use their Saved Recipe feature (I would cut-n-paste the text on a computer, review the comments for improvements, and create my own version … my own cookbook has 200+ recipes now). Shame on you! (I just received the “developer response”: it is identical to the others. They aren’t even reading these. Mucho pathetic)

Disappointed. I tried to sign into my account but was told that an error had occurred. It would have been really nice if we had gotten a notification letting us know that the site was being updated and we would no longer have access to our favorite recipes that we have been collecting over the years. I personally don’t like the updated version you have. Like the other poster, I deleted the app with the intention of reinstalling but see it is no longer there. Very heartbreaking since I used that app a lot. That’s were I learned how to cook. I am sure if asked by the people who had been using the app, their opinion they would have told you to leave well enough alone. Some things don’t always need a drastic change.

Are you TRYING to sink your own company?. My AllRecipes app hasn’t been working. So I went to the website, logged in, and EVERYTHING is gone…years of stuff…gone! I remembered seeing the listing for this “magazine” app when searching the App Store only to find that this is just the magazine. If I can’t rely upon you for the recipes and my collections, notes, and modifications, then why would I want your magazine?!…as I tease? Sorry, but I try to avoid torturing myself. I don’t know what thought process went into this decision…maybe something new is on the horizon…but I hope that next time you’ll consider: “Bigger” is NOT always “better”; “Older” is NOT necessarily “outdated”; “New” is often a further cry from “improved” than we’ll usually admit to ourselves; And anything that amounts to “reinventing the wheel” just might be the equivalent of doing twice the work, receiving half the reward, and for a level of quality that usually spends more time being considered mediocre before it has even the slightest chance of providing any real return value…just look at how many “new features” Facebook will proudly implement then quietly remove all because they’ve made a point of justifying their existence through “fixing” things that aren’t “broke”…just in need of a tuneup.

Years of recipes GONE negative stars absolute junk. My other review managed to not be posted (can’t say I’m shocked with the MANY negative reviews). The only reason it seems they deleted this app that thousands of people loved was purely to make money and their responses to us who are positing negative reviews are some generic “we’re so sorry to hear your negative experience with this app and we appreciate your thoughts” which roughly translates to “well we really couldn’t care any less about your thoughts and we’re required to write something so here ya go”. It’s already been said in almost every other review here this “new improved” app is a load of crap and totally useless and the people who did it couldn’t care less about the issues it caused us who used it or the fact they gave NO WARNING so we could save the recipes we’ve been using for years CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP.. would love to use other words here.

Not the Same App. After reading many of the recent reviews, I realize now what happened. Was trying to use the app to find a recipe and realized that no matter what I used as the search terms, it wouldn’t show anything different. I had also been unable to log into the app to see a saved recipe. Was thinking my copy of the app had somehow been corrupted, so deleted it intending to download a new copy. However the app I had is no longer available - this one is definitely not the original, and is useless if you aren’t a subscriber to their magazine. Had to delete it as well. Such a huge disappointment. Like others, I’ve had my account for years and years, and have saved tons of favorite recipes. Having them on the app is handy for using on your phone while you’re cooking. However, all the previous functionality has been gutted. Don’t waste your time with this app.

AllRecipies is a waste of a former great company!. THANKS FOR NOTHING ALLRECIPES!!! CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WITH THESE PEOPLE AND DON’T GIVE THEM A DIME BECAUSE THEY ARE CON-ARTISTS!!! Went to check on my recipes today and everything is gone. Search engine isn’t working. Spinner pulls up nothing. All the years of recipes I saved are all completely gone. I tried contacting anyone and nobody there is responding. Now I’m seeing that there are tons of reviews & complaints going back to the beginning of March 2023 and it’s still not fixed! So I’m guessing that this company has just decided to treat their subscribers like garbage? I’ve been a subscriber for over 10 years!!! How about a little notice guys!!! Or did you sell the company to Elon Musk because that’s the only acceptable excuse for any of this. Again DO NOT waste your time or money on these people because they will rob you blind!!!

Bring back the app. I cook for a living. For years I used all recipes app when ever I needed a quick recipe, or in case I needed to adjust one. I even got a bunch of people to download the app. And now this new magazine version is a big disappointment. I’m about to delete it. Even though I can still access my account ok the web. It’s not convenient. Its 2023, apps are supposed to make things easier and more accessible for the customer, seems like you guys are going the opposite way. Im about to delete this app and get the competitions app “T….” Such a shame because I love the older version of the app it was simple and yet VERY USEFUL. Not anymore!!!

I tried to adjust to the magazine, but it’s a disappointment. I really enjoyed the old app and had a collection of wonderful recipes saved as favorites. Once that app no longer began to work I downloaded the magazine. I cannot access my favorites directly, but if I search for a title and get a page with it multiple recipes, I can eventually find one that I’ve already used, since I’m afraid I won’t find it again I’ve been printing it. But once I go to the print screen, I can’t go back and have to close the app out and start all over. I’m not sure why you made such a drastic change, but it is not better. I’m still using your app, but it used to much more user friendly

All my recipes… POOF!. Family favorites… gone Recipes with modifications… gone Contributing recipes.. gone Not sure what the deal is but this is very bad. So many of the recipes we had compiled over the years disappeared. Not sure if Merideth DotDash figured we would be converting over to subscriptions for the magazine but whatever the reason this was a bad call. My daughter asked my wife for the recipe she made when she was a child because she wants to make for her family but we have NO ACCESS to it. Recipes that are handed down are a way of keeping the fond memories alive of families gathering around the table getting passed down from generation to generation. As it stands now we have a whole generation missing from our kids childhood. Please restore our lost memories so we have at least a chance to download them to a pdf or a digital format of some kind. You must fix this.

I miss you old All Recipes app!. I was so sad when I started having trouble with my All Recipes app and once I figured out what happened I was even more sad. I tried the new app a few times and just don’t like it at all. I miss the ease and convenience of finding all my favorite recipes. I also miss the easy search ability of recipes and being able to sort them. I have been on all recipes for what seems like a lifetime. I will continue to try and use the website, but that too has changed as well. I am not too fond of it either, but there were a lot of recipes my family and I love.

Ruined the recipe app to make a magazine app. Wow! This app is terrible! You took a wonderful recipe app used daily and loved by thousands if not millions of people and without notice disabled the recipe app and removed it from the App Store replacing it with a magazine app. Extremely bad and honestly stupid decision on your part considering most of us would have paid a small fee if it meant keeping the app. Way to alienate and anger every user you have 👍 Guess I (and I assume most) will have to print off the recipes I use from the website and delete my account. Thanks for this 😑

What a joke. I have been using Allrecipes app since 2011, I am subscribed to the magazine, but in no way shape or form does the magazine substitute the recipes I have collected over the past years. It is a small snipped to what the app had. I am truly disappointed. Also my subscription comes in a plastic cover with my info on it, not printed on the actual magazine cover. So I cant even log in to see anything. My app stopped working completely wouldn't spin wouldn't do anything but allow me to open it and stare at it in frustration. So I DLed this joke of an app, if I have the magazines, why do I need a digital copy of them? Either way, I do not want the magazine recipes, You have done a disservice to your loyal customers and I will be canceling my subscription for this. Also your generic response to everyone is a joke and is honestly the reason I am leaving a review at all. If you guys were at least trying to help people I would have let it be but Allrecipes seems to not even care. I would've paid to keep my app not to be bothered with this mess.

Where are my saved recipes. If I could give a rating of zero, I would! You didn’t give any of the long time members an opportunity to save favorites to their personal device, in addition, the ‘new & improved’ app doesn’t carry any of the recipes I had in my personal file! In addition to this, you want to charge me $4.99 for this on line magazine that is not worth it. I would tell my family and friends to go to your website to find recipes ….. not any more. You just shot yourself in the foot thinking you did something great.

Garbage! Zero stars. What an extremely disappointing situation to open the All Recipes app that you have used for YEARS, only to find that your collection of recipes has vanished. You can’t even search ingredients anymore and the feed of Today’s Recommendations is the same 17 recipes EVERY DAY! What a huge aggravating experience! I don’t know what prompted this decision but you have let down MANY longtime users. Your app was a place I could go to always find (and store) great recipes. I honestly can not express in words, how disappointed I am that all of my saved recipes are gone.

You ruined a very good app. I used the dinner spinner app for years and loved it. In fact, I loved it enough, I would’ve happily paid for a subscription. Now, it suddenly stopped working and I lost a collection of recipes I use all the time. I was able to access those recipes through the website to print them, which I did, because I’ve lost all trust that they will be there the next time I try to access them. Making things difficult for and breaking trust with your customer base is certainly not a good business model, and there were a thousand better ways to go about your rebranding. Bring back the good app, please.

Beyond Frustrating. Do not pay a dime for this app!! I’ve been a faithful user of the Allrecipes app for close to 10 years and have compiled a large collection of recipes stored on it. From time to time the app has been glitchy but it has always worked out the bugs without a long delay. Until earlier this month when it completely locked me out on both my iPhone and iPad. Without. Any. Notice. I was still able to access my saved favorites on my laptop so I spent the last few days printing out all of the recipes before deleting the app. My hope was that if I reinstalled it later the problem would correct itself and I’d be able to get back into my account. No such luck! When I went to find the app at the store I found the entirely new option ‘Allrecipes Magazine’ which requires a purchase. No thanks because I have no faith that the same thing won’t happen again. I’m done…back to hard copy cookbooks I go!!

Where my app and recipes?. I loved the Allrecipies app. I have many recipes stored on there and used it to make some great meals. During the closing of our business we didn’t eat much at home. Imagine my surprise when I tried to open your app only to find it didn’t work and everything was gone. I don’t know who’s brainy idea this was but what a mistake. I hope your rethinking the app decision and decide to bring it back. The ratings your getting should support that decision. Somehow please let us know if you do that. Next to the Budlight fiasco this int that far behind!!

Useless App!!. I’m thoroughly disgusted with this app! I use the original app since it’s inception. It was wonderful. I found new and exciting recipes and I was able to save the recipes I loved. I was even able to submit recipes! I could also sort through and find great gluten free recipes. The original APP was wonderful!! What you have done here is cheated all your loyal fans of some great cooking experiences! Shame on you!!! Now, I can’t find a single recipe I enjoy. I’ve lost all my saved recipes that I loved so much. The website is difficult if not impossible to maneuver as is now a FB page! The new app is USELESS & I will not signup for the magazine!!😡 You’ve done a true disservice to the original APP and all of its users!! I’ve deleted app… I will not waste my time!

My Worst Nightmare Finally Happened. Just like when I used that digital address book in 1993 and the battery went dead and I lost all my contacts, I’ve feared for years what would happen if All Recipes just disappeared. Well, they didn’t have the decency to tell us it was coming, the app just stopped working. Then, not even a mea culpa email. It appears they’ve tanked the company and don’t care. Anyone who subscribes to their magazine at this point is buying into a company with terrible business acumen and seemingly poor ethics. Get your recipes off the website as soon as you can, seems they’ve gone the way of the digital organizer.

Terrible and gone. All those recipes I saved. All the recipes I’ve used a hundred times. Recipes that a huge community has used and vetted. Gone. I can’t access them and they aren’t here. Over the last decade I built a library of dependable recipes that my family likes. And now they are gone. With no warning. I read through the developer’s responses to others with my same complaint and it’s pretty useless: we’re sorry and you’ll be able to access it in the future. What a bizarre way to approach a loyal customer base. Perhaps remedial marketing training should be ordered by a C-suite somewhere.

Not to be confused with the old AllRecipes RECIPE app. This is NOT the old (and very good) recipe app. Allrecipes used to have an app like that where you could sign in, with no subscription to their magazine, and access recipes listed on their website. They even had another app called “AllRecipes Dinner Spinner” to help you find ideas for dinner. I used to use both regularly! Now both have been replaced with this garbage that’s only helpful for their magazine subscribers. No thanks. The website has reformatted some and is less user friendly now, but it still better than nothing, so that’s what I’ll be using from now own. Or I guess it’s just back to trusty old Pinterest for recipes!

Steaming Pile of Aspic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, this app is not the same as the old Allrecipes app. I used the old app for years and I loved it. It contained many of my favorite recipes. The original app no longer functions. The developer has a canned response to these negative reviews. Their response mentions that ‘you will get access to all of the issues in you account.’ What we negatively reviewers want is access to all of the recipes we saved over the past several years and a functioning return of the old app.

You made me shed some tears!. I went to go get my favorite recipe for cheesecake on your app to make for my mother on Mother’s Day…and your app was empty of data. Hmmm…maybe there was a mistake with the latest download. Surely, a company wouldn’t do that…and I should know. I have been in Marketing in the top Forbes/Fortune 200 Tech companies for the last 20+ years. Doing what you did to your loyal app users to try and convert them to your magazine was brand suicide. That was poor planning technically and from a customer retention/attraction standpoint. Your best option would have been to shut off your old app from new subscribers by taking it down from the App Store but keeping it active for your old base users while launching your new magazine for all net new subscribers. Then, use your old base of subscribers to promote your new magazine to even through your old app or email campaigns. Sheesh…you all blew it. And…I miss my recipes! This was my app for recipes. You all rocked and didn’t even know or appreciate your platform for that or your fan base. Sad.

Why????. If you aimed to lose all of your supporters, you’ve fully succeeded and then some. Why on earth would you get rid of the app? This was something I used weekly if not daily. Years and years of searching, trying recipes, saving, reviewing, sharing recipes, etc gone and for what? How about use ads to profit like everyone else does? Why not offer exclusive in-app purchases to make your money? Instead you took the one app that I truly loved and tossed it in the trash. I wish I could give this app a zero star review. Greed will ruin your company 100%. If you were smart you’d reactivate the app.

Absolutely disappointing app- bring back the old app. ***UPDATE*** It is clear that the developers do not actually read these reviews and instead provide a canned response. AllRecipes has made it abundantly clear that they do not care about the concerns of everyday users. I used the old Allrecipes app for years and have tons saved. I can’t even log in on the new app using my old information. What is the point of all this? This new app is horrible . I do not want to be prompted to subscribe to a magazine. I don’t want to read a magazine for recipes. The app was convenient and easier to navigate than the website. Bring back the old app…

Where is the App. Missed opportunity, you should be firing people. See all these people here and many more would have paid to keep the app and the curated recipe collections right where they were. I can’t even say what I would pay, monthly, or yearly. It’s 2023, and you are choosing to focus on a magazine? I just continually getting angry about it as I am constantly turning to my phone to make one of my recipes I have made for YEARS, only to remember I can’t access them anymore. This is a way of life for a lot of people, what a financially destructive decision. Just charge people for the app, add adds, I don’t care. Doesn’t seem difficult. . . suddenly you have a source of income where there wasn’t one before.

Still The Worst App in the History of Apps!!. So Allrecipes has cost my dearly in years of effort. I just want to make sure they NEVER make a foothold again in the interverse. I just DL’d the latest and it still is terrible. But at least now they think they can make money!!?? LOL. How do you spell “hoots-puh” again? I am sure they can spellcheck it for me since they have so very much of it. Saved my recipes for YEARS and they simply trashed them. Oh and DI NOT BELIEVE their sure to come remarks about reaching out to them with a case number. They do nothing. I just cannot believe they figured out a way to get a 1.6 average. Disappointed. 20 years of saved recipes all gone. To the developers, I hope you can find a way to restore my old account…even for a week so I can save some of my favorite recipes. Some of those recipes not only brought joy to me but also to loved ones who enjoyed the dishes and desserts I have made. I understand funds are needed to continue running that once amazing platform but I wish there was a warning on the app about the changes. To those who generously shared recipes, photos, reviews, and suggestions for elevating a recipe, thank you.

What happened to the AllRecipies APP?. I’ve been using the website since I only owned a desktop. The app has been my go to for years. I see now they deleted it to “focus on their website”. The website is absolutely awful. It’s hard to see your saved recipes, there’s no search for certain ingredients, and this app is even worse than the website. I’m going old school and putting my favorite recipes in a binder. That’s better than using their website. In my opinion, it seems dumb that they would only focus on their website and magazine when the future is Apps. I see a big fail on their end coming soon.

Long time user. I had been using the Allrecipes app for years! Prior to that online and before that magazines. In total maybe 20 years?! Loved the app when introduced. Could save favorite recipes. Organize by food type. Even added my own and threw away hard copies because it was now available to me in one place. And then they got greedy. Now charging which I have no interest in doing. So many years of history lost. I recognize there is a cost associated with the app for them but you can’t transition after so many years. Disappointed.

Update lost subscription. The app warns you you'll need to restore apple purchases after the update. Annoying, but OK. What it doesn't tell you is that won't actually work! I've been hitting restore purchases in both the library screen and the preferences screen, as well as sync library in preferences, for around 10 minutes now. My subscription through apple is current, I only have one apple id, everything is correct and inline but now I'm seriously considering canceling. I see other reviews with the same issue, and CS telling them to open a support ticket. If this is a known issue, it should have been fixed by now. I'm also a little disappointed that subscriptions must go through apple and don't include past issues, as other similar subscriptions do, but that's small things compared to the app not even recognizing me.

Lost Recipes. After years of using your previous app, I open it to find the search function disabled and my saved recipes gone. Fine, perhaps your business model was not sustainable and you are now going with a subscription service like Epicurious recently implemented. I feel people should know what they’ll most likely be getting for their money if they opt in. A few decent recipes, usually shared by previously loyal users. Thankfully I saved all the recipes I wanted when Epicurious did the same thing. People will have to make a choice with so many recipe sites moving toward subscription services. My advice is, if you want to shift through everyday, rather unimpressive recipes for a few rare gems, and pay a company that might take away access to what you used to have, this is a great option.

Who made this horrible decision??. To your CEO, VP and everyone involved that decided to renovate the app, I hope you understand how many people you ticked off. You update an app with options to make money, not eliminate the recipes that all your users use daily like I did. I enjoyed having fellow users their attempt at the recipe, appreciated their opinions and used recommendations. I really don’t care about experts trying to make fancier grilled cheese. I want the everyday cook to tell me his or her family recipe that makes my family happy after eating that meal. I want my recipe file back!! I want to enter a ingredient and choose what looks good. If I wanted your magazine I would buy it, but I want the community you gave us that you took away without any regard to the people already enjoying what you offered.

Former all recipes users, please read!!. Boycott all Meredith magazines. They’re the company responsible for doing this. Deleting the app with no warning was such a crappy, greedy move on their part. Obviously if they didn’t care enough to warn their loyal users, we probably shouldn’t expect to get anything more than the canned bot response we’ve all been getting here. I HIGHLY recommend you go to their website and send a message to their customer support team. Since they want to focus on the website that’s where we need to hit them.

The app and recipes are gone. I’ve been using the app for a long time to collect recipes. It disappeared without warning, so all recipes are now gone. The developer response is that they will restore issues, but they are not reading the responses—people don’t want their issues back (if they ever had them in the first place). The app had nothing to do with issues but with allowing people to create recipes, share recipes, and collect them. They created this app to do this, and without warning they removed it. The least they could have done is allowed people to capture their recipes before deleting everything.

So disappointed. I have used your original Allrecipes app for as long as I can remember. I’ve seen the changes and didn’t like that I lost my notes, and all my categories for each type. Ok, changes happen, I could still bring up my favorites that were saved by putting in a item. Now without any warning email, and I read my emails, I’ve lost everything. I still get my emails daily, with ideas etc, but the app isn’t working so I tried multiple things. Now I can’t even login. I downloaded the new app, hopefully to be able to login in, but I won’t take my email. Help please

Read the WHOLE review. You’re missing the point. You keep responding to all your 1star reviews with “don’t worry, your subscriptions are all accessible.” I don’t want to pay for the magazine, I’ve NEVER subscribed to the magazine. I want my old recipes back, my favorites, etc. nobody seems happy with your decision to get rid of the original app, what are you going to do about that? What happened??? Why did you replace what was a great “go-to” app for my nightly “what’s for dinner tonight”??? I’m heartbroken I’ve lost years of “favorites”, my own contributions, and the reviews/tips from other users. Please, PLEASE, bring the app back. I don’t want your magazine, and I’m not going to pay a subscription fee.

Horrible “new” app.. I had the AllRecipes app for years and a few months ago, it stopped working. I deleted it so I could re-download it to see if that would get it working again, but NOPE! The entire app was gone and replaced by All Recipes Magazine, which comes at a cost. To access my recipes, I have to go to the website and log on. Luckily, all my saved recipes are there, however, they’re much more difficult to get to without the app. To the developers, please bring back the old app because this new app isn’t a good look for you.

No longer “all” recipes. *slow clap* way to go. You’ve managed to upset the majority of your potential customer base by deleting the original app and removing access to years of recipes that people have shared and curated as part of a community. All in the name of selling a magazine. I have no interest paying for your “curated” magazine recipes. I want the recipes that I have been using for years and access to the community content that used to exist. So disappointed - l lost years of curated recipes. The Allrecipes app was my go to app for finding recipes. It was very functional, easy to find new and familiar recipes and had a clear and easy to navigate menu. I had used the app since it’s inception and without warning to their loyal customers the app stops functioning so I delete it thinking there was an issue. There was an issue alright, the app doesn’t exist on the App Store and instead has been usurped by this abomination. I absolutely will not subscribe to the magazine for a handful of recipes each month I may or may not like. I appreciated the ability of the app to sort recipes by popularity, which you cannot do on the website. The website is clunky and difficult to navigate on the phone so I guess it’s time to find a new “go to.” Very frustrating, I’m sure I speak for many of the thousand of users y’all screwed when I say I would have liked at the minimum a little warning so I had time to save my favorite recipes and I would have gladly started paying a small fee to continue using the Allrecipes app if money was an issue. Really poor decision making whoever in your organization thought this was a good idea.

Why??????. This message is to the company or individuals that purchased this app. If you would have started charging for the Allrecipes app, I am pretty confident most that used it would have gladly paid. However, that option wasn’t given to hundreds of thousands of users…therefore loosing years and years of saved and treasured recipes we have shared with our families and friends never to be accessed again. Shame on all of you! I feel sorry for companies that truly aren’t in touch with and know who their customers are. Amazingly Disappointed Beyond Belief. Wow, just wow! The new venture you have decided to embark on sure wasn’t the right one and I’m sure I can speak for everyone who used the AR Dinner Spinner app when I say that I’m beyond disappointed. In total, we’ve probably all had about 10,000 years worth of recipes saved in our favorites. All of which had made us heroes in the kitchen. Nearly all my dishes made from the AR app were complimented by an angelic choir singing in harmony when presented to my wife, kids, aunties, uncles etc…. I WAS A MASTER CHEF IN THEIR EYES!!! Now I cook ramen from the package. Not homemade. My sweet and sour pork II is no longer a click away and I’m forced to buy pre packaged garbage from Sams. This is a travesty. My heart goes out to all who are going through the same demise as I. It was good while it lasted and I can guarantee you that there will never be another app quite like it. It really is a shame. Spare me the automatic response apology everyone has gotten on here. I don’t want to hear it. You’re dead to me…..unless you bring back the APP we all really want. Not this magazine garbage you’re trying to pawn off as the latest and greatest. Trust me, nobody cares.

where are our recipes?. A few months ago, I wrote in about a glitch and received a response to uninstall the old app and reinstall this new one. It is absolutely nothing like the previous app. Where are my saved recipes? I’ve been saving them for more than 10 years now. I can’t access favorites on the website anymore, either. This is infuriating, and even more so to read the continuous response to negative reviews that all issues will be addressed. So where are our recipes? How do we get some thing like the old app back? If you need to put ads in there, so be it. Please advise.

Where’s the original app?. I noticed today that one of my saved recipes wasn’t loading properly. Then I noticed none of my recipes were loading. It looks like the old app is gone and replaced with this new one. No big deal, as long as I still have access to my saved recipes. We’ll, I don’t. This is just a paid version if you subscribe to their print version! Hardly anyone has print magazine subscriptions anymore. Why force people into buying something they don’t want? Just charge a little for the app you already had that people loved! Poor business decision. I can get over it because it’s not my business, but I can give you one star for deleting an app used by lots of customers without any warning. Awful customer service.

Very disappointed!. I have been a loyal fan to Allrecipes for years! Many many wonderful years I have relied on recipes that other loyal customers as well, have tried and shared their trials and errors! I accidentally deleted the app and now I can’t find it! BRING BACK the good and get rid of this magazine that I refuse to look at! VERY DISAPPOINTED in your poor choices!

Was good, now pointless. Used to be a good app that let you search the Allrecipes database for recipes to make, or quickly look up your favourites... Now it is all about pimping their magazines and not giving you access to what you want the app for. All the 1-star reviews will show you nobody else is happy... guess they didn’t like the app being helpful to people.

No Warning!. I am so upset that without any warning you disabled the Allrecipes app! DISGUSTING Customer Service. I only downloaded this app so I could tell you how disgusted I am with your program and service. I was a member since 2010 and went to use the app today and found I have been logged out... no membership ... then when I requested a reset got “someone trying to steal my identification” message and inproper certificates. Now it appears you just deleted all your members and expect us to sign up to your so called magazine. If we don’t we will loose have access to 10 years of work. The hell I will. Deleting this app as soon as this is published. PS I object to having to give you even one star. In reality it is worth -10 or squat.

Good website for recipes terribly not user friendly. Can’t sign up , can’t log in , can’t save my recipes , terribly terribly annoying . Where have all the recipes gone? Bring back the original app. I loved the recipe app but this is horrible. I can’t find my saved recipes easily and the magazine isn’t worth the charge. I wish I would have printed all the recipes I had. My kids even used my app to learn to cook. Logging in on the website is a nightmare just like the new app. What a shame.

Cash-grab. The old Allrecipes app no longer works and this one requires a magazine subscription. No thanks. I’ve used allrecipes.com for a long time (20 years I think) and directed a LOT of people to the website over the years. The app made everything super-convenient. No longer the case I guess. The form-letter responses here in the App Store is odd. Dev doesn’t want something in the open. 1-star; convince me to change it if you can.

I’ll buy cookbooks instead. Lost my saved recipes. It’s all about the money and you can lose everything anytime developers feel they want money. Buy your cookbooks then at least you’ll own your collection.

If it’s not broken don’t fix it. This app is totally useless I don’t want a subscription to the magazine I want access to all the recipes I’ve saved over the last 10 years. I can’t even login because I don’t have a magazine subscription how do I login. From the number of one star ratings maybe you should re think this app and go back to the old one. If it’s not broken don’t fix it.

Fixed. Delete the app, go into the app store, go into your account, go under your purchased apps and find the app, download again, open the app after downloading, log in and it should work.

Update the old app. I really hope they update the old app. I like everyone else it appears have lost all my saved recipes. It’s really frustrating that they blocked everyone out of the free content with out warning and are now pushing this magazine. They should have just added it to the old app as an optional thing that way they would have the entire user base angry with them.

Can’t log in, can’t find the spinner. This was an excellent app, now it is useless. Adding the subscription is annoying, but who will pay for this if it doesn’t work? This is garbage now. Also, I cannot log into the app so all of my saved recipes are gone. You ruined a good app.

Completely pointless. I really don’t understand what the point of the app even is at this point. There’s no recipes. On a recipe app….the copy and paste dev responses aren’t encouraging either as they date back months and the app is still useless.

Wow this sucks. Was in the middle of making dinner and tried to open the old app and couldn’t. I just needed to double check on a recipe I used often on the old app and it said to download the newest one. I did but couldn’t access any of my saved recipes. What’s even worse, I couldn’t even log in! You just lost a loyal follower. I wish I can give you minus stars.

This replacement is seriously lacking and I do not intend to buy a magazine subscription just to try and get recipes to cook for my family. Seriously?. This isn’t the same all recipes app, it’s a magazine that you can’t even use unless you pay for a subscription. I deleted my original app thinking that it just needed to be update to find out that it’s gone. I’m not going to pay for a subscription for recipes that I don’t even want, especially because the original app had adds which paid for it. Done with all recipes, I’m not going to use the web browser when I’m trying to cook because I use that to look up measurements and substitutions.

So disappointed. I loved the old app. I told everyone about it. It was great how you could sort the recipes by popularity and see other people’s comments to determine if the recipe could be modified. Extremely disappointed. All Recipes the app appears to be shut down this is so you buy monthly subscriptions - I’d have considered buying items here and there. 1 off with no concerns, probably have eventually migrated to a monthly thing - but the fact that the free app is no longer free and has locked out from seeing the recipes now I see the management decisions and how you think of customers. Where are the recipes?. My favorite thing about the all recipes app is you could just open it up and look at recipes. Now with this new all recipes magazine app it’s like trying to navigate your way through a maze to find what your looking for. What dinosaur is calling the shots?. I LOVED allrecipes. It was my number one tool for meal prepping and cooking, and then I find the app is just gone without warning? Now I have to access my account with my phone’s browser? I used my Apple ID to log into the app—I don’t know if I can access my account ever again! I would have happily paid a small subscription fee to keep all my recipes handy but now a literal DECADE’s worth of recipes might be gone for me! Thanks a lot!

Thanks for Screwing Me Over A*holes. I had a bunch of recipes saved on their other app and used it almost everyday. It started getting glitchy so I figured I just needed to delete and reinstall. Went to go reinstall and couldn’t find it on the App Store. Found out on Reddit they pulled the app so focus on this one. Even if they bring the old app back I will never support them again. I have told everyone I know to use another website/app. No warning that they were discontinuing the app or anything. SHAME.

Bring back the old app!. My A/R app wasn’t working tonight so I deleted it to re-install it, in case there was a bug. Found out it doesn’t exist anymore!! Only this stupid magazine app - looked for a simple recipe for a lemon frosting and the only thing it came up with was an article that they said was a 15 minute read! Are you crazy?? And I just love all the auto-responses to all these one star reviews saying they are sorry and how they will do such and such for them. Just bring back the old app!

They’re trying to force you to pay for the magazine!. Clearly, you’re trying to force people off the free app to pay for your magazine. I use the app to store YEARS of recipes and haven’t been able to log in all year. I get redirected to the magazine app, surprise surprise, you have to PAY to get access. That won’t help me access what I’ve already saved. I am NOT subscribing to your magazine! I put up with enough ridiculous ads on the app to more than “pay” my way.

Readgirl. I” want answers to why you took the all recipes app down. There is no way to write a review. It is not in the App Store anymore and there is no data and all my saved recipes are gone. I don’t want to buy the magazine but I have emailed Meredith support customer service to no answers at all which is totally wrong on your part. I am totally blind, and used to use the all recipes app all the time because it was VoiceOver compatible.

Frustrated….. I could only get a few of my favorites (and I had so many!) and the opening page was “stuck” on the same recipes. So I decided to sign out and sign back in. It didn’t recognize my password so I changed it and I still couldn’t sign in. I got so frustrated I deleted the whole thing and I’m going to try again. ALL my favorites are lost but maybe I can find new favorites and start over. Very disappointing.

What happened to all recipes???. All recipes was by recipe file, anytime. I recommended AllRecipes to friends for its ease of use, reviews, and diversity. All of a sudden, it all changed. My recipe folders are gone, accessing recipes has become a arduous task and not worth the time. I’ve resorted to other web based recipe resources. AllRecipes is gone…do not use. All this resource represents is a rehash of their magazine. Don’t bother there are some many others that resemble AllRecipes in its former glory days.

Favorite recipes….gone. A little warning about the discontinuation of this app could have gone a long way. I had some of my go to recipes saved and now they are gone. I would have appreciated a heads up and would have even considered renewing my subscription (I’ve had in the past and enjoyed the recipes. App Replaced by Worthless Magazine!. Just noticed original Allrecipe’s app no longer exists due to apparent greed on the part of developer. Allrecipes wasn’t merely an app, but a vast community of people that had grown extensively over the years. WHY WHY WHY. Like so many others, I had YEARS of recipes saved in all recipes. I had notes, I had reviews, I had family favorites. GONE. WHY WHY WHY did y’all do this? I don’t want the magazine, I want the recipes that I searched for. I’d be willing to pay to get all those lost recipes, pay for the app as it WAS. Please, bring it back. I’ll bet there are many who would pay to get their favorites back and use the app as it was. Whomever had the idea to do this to allrecipes needs to be fired. And exiled to a desert island with this miserable excuse for a recipe site.

All Recipes All Gone. I have had the old AllRecipies for years, and used the dinner spinner for new exciting recipes. To my surprise it is all gone. The new update has taken everything away and is now a paid subscription app? The recipes were free. The ability to connect with people through food was free. I lost all my favorites, and ability to search for new things is gone… probably the worst decision for the app owners to do.

Actually getting worse. I removed the app today because I’m over it. I haven’t been able to search for recipes for well over a month now. This includes being unable to search for recipes containing specific ingredients. For the last week or so, I can’t even view recipes of the daily suggestions which WAS the only thing that worked. This app is literally worthless at this point.

What have you done?. Years. Literal years I have spent using the Allrecipes spinner app, finding recipes, saving them, sharing them, uploading pictures and suggestions. And it’s all gone. No notice, no warning, nothing. Years of time just vanished. This is absolutely disgusting. You couldn’t figure out a way to increase your subscription rate without torpedoing a perfectly useful and trusted app in the hopes that you could force those users into your ridiculous magazine subscription app? But don’t punish people who’ve been using AllRecipes since before there was a magazine. I would very much like to know how I can restore my recipe collection on the Dinner Spinner app, buy I hope you’ll also reconsider your whole approach to switching out apps and purging users’ recipe collections with ZERO warning.

The old app is gone!?. I have used Allrecipes for years, and had collected a lot of my favorite recipes in the app. Suddenly the app stopped working so I deleted it and tried to download it again, only to find out the app has changed. I can no longer search through the tried and true recipe collection my family loves. I can’t even search for a single recipe in the new app without being a magazine subscriber. Absolute FAIL. BAD move. You just got dumped........ This is very disappointing. You have hundreds of reviews all saying the same thing. Bring back the app. I even had some of my own recipes on there that I entered WHILE I was preparing something. It's terribly inconvenient to have to use a website rather than the app (that was so well loved). To add insult to injury your stock response goes to show that people's concerns are not important. Bad move for sure.

Same problem as others. Imagine my surprise when I needed to review a saved fish recipe only to find it wasn’t there. Can’t even find it by searching. As others mentioned, the original app has disappeared! And we seem to get a canned response about how groovy things will be from here on. Baloney. I would have been glad to buy this app up front. It was great. But I certainly won’t chase a magazine subscription around.

Very Shady Business Practice. I had years and years worth of recipes saved in my account and used the app at least once or twice a week to plan meals for my family. Some sort of notification would have been nice. Funny thing is, I would have probably been willing to pay a modest fee to maintain my account and my recipe collection. This paid magazine app is a step backwards so, I guess it’s time to find a new recipe provider.

Zero Stars! Shame on AllRecipes. Allrecipes app stopped working. I used AllRecipes regularly and found some of our family’s favorite recipes on it. In an effort to fix this presumed bug, I removed it and downloaded this app as it’s the only option. It requires a paid subscription to the magazine and is NOT like the former app in any way. No searchable database for recipes and ingredients, no recipe reviews, all gone. What was a wealth of information and a great community of cooks and bakers is no more. Such a needless and shameful waste.

You will loose your all recipes app. My all recipes app which I have had since 2012 started glitching. Stupidly I made the decision to delete it and download it again to hopefully resolve the issue. Worst mistake ever. I lost my app and all my recipes and everything I had categorized over the last decade. All I was offered was this inferior all recipe magazine which did IS NOT the same!!! I’m so upset. I have used that app for years I hate this new app and do NOT Reccomended it!!

What a Sad Day.. App wasn’t working and like many others, I was part of this wonderful community. I deleted the app thinking something was wrong and needed an update but came to find this disappointment. BUT THERE IS HOPE. If you lost your recipes go to the website, log in to your account and search for Saved Items and Collections. You’ll find all your saved recipes there! Good luck and hopefully something else will come along.

What a loss. Like so many others here I have to say what a loss the original app is no longer working. I had years of content saved that I went to over and over again and now poof gone. I will never subscribe to their “magazine”. They took a good service and just trashed it. What a foolish move. I keep seeing the same auto reply to each negative review and that means to me they don’t actually care. Terrible treatment of subscribers.

Lost all the recipes. I have been using this app for years, very helpful for my daily or holidays meals, as I try to sign in, all my information are gone, I’m very very upset, it’s there anywhere cam help me to retrace my account?

From great free service to… same service but you gotta pay for it now. Wow… had used All recipes for years. Had so many of my favorites saved. Then, have been trying to use the app and it is not working. Came to do the update and found out the only app that exists is now the All Recipes Magazine one. And as the name implies if you are not a paid subscriber, you don’t have access. Sorry guys! I live penny by penny. You guys pushed me to look into other sources. Good luck with your paying members!

This used to be a great app. This used to be a great app where you could get meal ideas, share recipes and change serving sizes. Now, you can (only) read a magazine and have to go to their dysfunctional and unwieldy website to see the recipes you saved with no serving size calculations. That is if you can get to your lists without constantly being logged out. Such a stupid change. Follow up after response from publisher: Like everyone else here, I got the, "We're sorry for the inconvenience, but you'll get access to your issues," response, but my review wasn't about lost issues. It was about list functionality with the app. This stupid, tone deaf, non-response has made me loose faith in the company.

Not Happening. Totally disappointed! I had the app for several yea rs and used it frequently. I saved several recipes that I wanted to try and have had trouble accessing them. I thought that you were having issues with servers, etc so I have patiently waited. Then decided I would delete the app and download it again to see if it works. Nope! Deleted the app and now it’s GONE entirely. Just this magazine subscription. I wouldn’t mind subscribing to the app the way it was, but the way you went about it is wrong. No thanks.

All gone!. Just as frustrated as everyone else. Everything I had saved over the years… GONE. Allrecipes was a good app where everyone could contribute. But corporate greed took over and ruined it for all of us. The app stopped working, so I came here to search for a possible update. Was disappointed when I discovered this new nonsense. Wish the old app and how it worked could be brought back.

No more free recipes!. They dumped their old app where you could look up all their recipes and save them. Now you have to PAY for a magazine subscription and good luck finding any of those recipes you saved and made notes on. All this without any warning. Talk about not valuing the customer at all! I would pay to access the old app and recipes but I can’t even get that! Just a boring magazine subscription.

Not able to see main page or anything right now. Why are you not allowing us to access the app at all? It will only stay in the loading page and never come up even after leaving it up for a minute or so patiently waiting but still nothing happens.

App issues. I see I’m not the online one having issues with this app. For weeks now I have been able to log on but there are only a few receipts in the feed and only a few of my recipes saved. Where I actually have at least over 30 recipes saved. I am also unable delete any of the recipes I don’t want as they just come back to being saved. Very disappointing.

A Way Around The All Recipes App Dump. I too was freaked out when the All Recipes app didn’t work and I too deleted it thinking I could reboot it by just adding the app back in. That didn’t work because the app is no more. NOT COOL, app designers! But if you go to the website and log in all of your saved recipes are there. It took time but I added them individually to my Notes on my iPhone in case they decide to mess with the website. Hope this helps…

Miss All Recipes website. I’ve had to delete the All Recipes app and reinstall a couple of times in the past couple of years!! My saved recipes and notes all deleted too. Just experienced a locked-out issue once again. Only there is no rebooting, the app has vanished, only to have an online magazine being offered. So sad, the old app was mine and my son’s go-to kitchen aid. Please restore and allow the world’s home chefs to share and create together!!! Is there a charge for the All Recipe magazine app? Thank you for you service!!!

WTH. Without any notice my Allrecipes app just quit working. Like so many others, I thought it had a glitch and deleted it. Imagine my surprise and frustration to find that it no longer exists!!! I loved that app. So many free and wonderful recipes, that were easy to make. This new platform stinks.

Search function in the Allrecipes app doesn’t work.. I never got a response to my question about the issue so I deleted the app thinking maybe it would work if reinstalled staled it. Lo and behold, the app doesn’t appear to exist anymore. This, after you buried my favorites so deep I had to email customer support to figure out where the heck my saved recipes were hiding. What kind of business model is this?

Laughable. You’d think a brand this large would realize it’s time to roll back the changes as they are bombarded with one star reviews from users incredibly frustrated with this inane change. And instead we get a bot replying to contact support for “issues” of the magazine. That is not our “issue.” The issue is that the old app is gone and all favorites recipes gone with it. Whatever executive made this change should be scared for their job right now, what a joke.

This isn’t the app we wanted. So apparently the Allrecipes app/ account we’ve used for years is no longer a thing. Although I appreciate their attempt to better monetize their business and generate more revenue it appears they’ve left their base far outside of their considerations of their new business model. There is no longer quick and easy access via the app to the years of recipes that we have built up through the community of people that have submitted recipes. Time for a new app and recipe community.

What happened??. I have used the Allrecipes app very regularly over the years. I have left many reviews and use it to cook for my family frequently. After Allrecipes made me update I lost all of saved recipes after years of saving and collecting. Details about ingredients, proportions, or cooking directions all disappeared. I updated to this "magazine" addition as there was no other option, and nothing ....every recipe lost Don't mind improvements, but when a person loses everything saved that's an issue and I will move to another app. My advice - find another cookbook site. If l'm wrong contact me and if I can l'Il remove this one star review. If I had known I would have saved these recipes elsewhere. I'd give it a zero if I could.
