💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Basic and needs improvement. The apps layout is easy to understand and simple to use if your just looking to preorder your food. If your trying to manage your calorie intake and track the nutrition information then the app is basically useless for these two purposes. For starters the calorie estimates are off by a few hundred calories at the least. One of their standard meals (without ANY edits) comes out significantly higher in calories when the individual ingredients calories are added up separately. Also there is no sign of a meals nutrition information whats so ever. It would be nice to have a overview like the chick-fil-a app gives you of the calories, adjustments and overall information. This is either a relatively new app, this a work in progress, or cava is not putting in half the effort other companies are with the food ordering apps. Love the food and would love to eat it more but I’d need a reliable platform to change me from an occasional user to using it 3 to 4 times a week because accounting for their mistakes takes too much time.

Bad to worse. The old version was extremely difficult to re-order from a previous order, the new version says you can re-order from a previous order; however, in the new version that link does not work at all. When re-ordering in the old version, if one item was not available the app would say there was a problem with the order but it would not say what the problem was (i.e. a particular item was not available at that time). Then you had to restart the order from scratch. Fortunately that problem was eliminated; because you just can’t re-order what you had last time. (?!) Another new feature: The free pita is no longer an option? Hard to tell, maybe it will just come back next week.

Problem using cava rewards to pay. We received a Cava gift card and used it once to pay for an order. After paying for that order ,our remaining balance of cava rewards is now $75. When we try and use the balance to pay for a new order by selecting the button that shows our reward amount the app brings up a “add rewards card “. We don’t want to add a new gift card , we just want to use our existing balance.

One of the best food apps!. One of the best and easiest food apps on the market today! So easy to read thru and navigate, and pay! Also very cool that you can just walk in and they have a shelf ready with your order with your name on it so you can literally walk up, grab your bag, say thank you and go! The only thing I would like to app to have is to be able to save your favorite order so I don’t have to go thru the choices each time. But even with the choices, the process is so much quicker than ordering on other food apps. Thank you Cava!

Re-ordering never works. It seems like this app used to work better a couple of months ago. My family usually orders the same thing each time. The reordering feature made things very easy. Now I find that that feature almost never works. I get a message that there’s a problem with one of the items. It doesn’t tell you what the problem was, doesn’t allow you to order items were there wasn’t a problem. So you have to start all over from scratch each time. They need to fix this. I find myself ordering from CAVA much less as a result of this. Makes it too hard.

Delete Old/Previous Orders. This is a good app & convenient. However, if one wants to clean up or delete any orders it is difficult or not possible. This, at times, can cause one to submit an order to the wrong location and will have to find other means of either getting their order or a credit, if possible. To either slide the order to the left or delete the order all together would be great. Otherwise, it’s good so far.

If they tried to fail, they’ve succeeded. For more than a year, there are have redesigns and fixes that seemed to have done little to improve this apps usefulness, or even its ability to function. Want to reorder your usual? Get ready for the app to reboot. Want to autofill your login credentials from a password manager? Good luck. Would you like an order flow and UI design that makes sense? Well, the best they can do is big, bright pictures….usefulness must be planned to launch in a future update. Want to reorder the same thing you had before, but at a different location? Tough luck. I used to eat at Cava 3-4 times a month. Now, I just avoid the hassle of having to religion and manually reenter the ingredient combo for every member of my family. Hopefully this changes soon, the food is delicious.

Horrible app, yummy food. This app would be great, if it worked. You go through all the customization options, which are easy to use, and then adding the pita to the order requires a 30 second spinning wheel of wait time, for each bowl. After that, when you go to pay, you get an error. Then the same again. Then, you go back in to try one more time, and the bag is empty. This was all after trying multiple times to get it to take my password, and having to change my password, then after a few more times, it decides to work. I recommend ordering online or in person. This app is more frustration than it’s worth.

Update Dissapointing. I must say I am very disappointed with the new update. Takes forever to order now : 1. Map is to dark and cumbersome to navigate. I drive in the region often so I need to order from various locations. The map doesn’t show all locations unless you pick a specific city and you cannot search by Zip. The map should just show all locations so I can pick the one I will be closest too when I arrive in that area. 2. Navigating toppings, proteins and even things like “dressing on side” not intuitive and it takes noticing longer than the previous version. 3. Rewards tracking is weak and current level/status level information not even available to see what progress you are making through each level. 4. If selecting Reorder, you cannot update the pick up location. This should be a simple fix. Please adjust this app. The user experience alone has deterred me a few times now from wanting to order Cava and I have been ordering Cava for over 9 years now. Thanks for listening.

WOW — Amazing UX from a UX Engineer. As a fellow user experience iOS engineer/designer this app blew me away. The app is very intuitive and easy to use. This is exactly what you want when you’re trying to order food. The animations really tie in with the flow of the app and serve the purpose of communicating the feedback back to the user as any great app should. Aside from all the great animations and transitions, the app does exactly what it should. It serves its purpose well—that is to make it as easy as possible for the user to order food and to get out of their way. Keep up this excellent work. It doesn’t go unnoticed. Some of us really really do appreciate truly great experiences.

Slow, Unreliable, Crashes Constantly. This app used to be very streamline before the overhaul. Now, the app crashes whenever the store I select happens to run out of appointment times. The app takes 30 seconds to load up when I open it. I think it's because it needs to fetch my order history or something, but it takes 1000 times longer than it did before. Less is more. This new design is awful. Awful. Awful. Pare it down. Maybe reduce the image quality or something, this app is just so dreadfully slow and I can hardly order. If I dare to order multiple bowls, the app stalls or just flat out crashes. Terrible as it is. -3/5 if possible.

Redesign :(. Cava, Since the latest redesign, your app hasn’t worked. It does not add my food choices to cart. Just spins and spins and crashes. This has persisted for a couple of weeks. UX and Design-wise... ugh. You minimized photos of food choices (which were the only easy way to learn what your lettuce mixes contain) in favor of the text above that I don’t think I’ve ever read it. That’s because when I’m ordering, my focus is on the choices I’m making for my food bowl. I don’t need to see each choice reflected in a summary at the same time. That can probably come at the end. I suggest switching the hierarchy of section for building a bowl with the summary. The summary is much less relevant WHILE someone ordering... I saw a tiny photo of the eggplant spread today. It was green. But I could see why the eggplant spread would be green because. Was it 🍆 + 🥑? 🤷‍♀️ I love your food, but some poor design decisions were made. Please revisit your choices. It’s no more fun to order Cava bowls. 😭😩

Want to love it but.... When it works, then great. But lately I can’t enter a pickup time. I have to keep exiting and reopening and reordering then deleting the previous order...what a mess. At this moment I have tried several times and can’t get my order in. Also, this app cost me 13 bucks of wasted money, which has never happened to me before. I’m used to apps that let you reorder. They always ask you where to pick up. This one didn’t. I placed a reorder and it never asked where to pick up from. Once I placed it I saw that it was a different city not nearby. Knowing I just lost 13 bucks I tried again planning to change the city. It turns out you can’t. I had to make a new order and try to remember everything all over again. What a pain.

Should go back to the old app design. The redesign is visually stunning but it is glitchy and annoying to use. It’s not intuitive and makes it difficult to edit meals—seriously it’s 50/50 if I will actually manage to remove whatever I’m trying to remove and wow does it encourage you to sub in something. I’ve had issues with it freezing and stopping/loading pick up times, adding meals back in to my order, and once the pita bread sides just vanished and I gave up on ordering them. I miss the old app. Anyway CAVA is delicious tho

Food is great - app is unreliable and clunky. I love Cava, but using this app is nearly always frustrating. More than half the time it requires logging in again and/or crashes during an order. It’s clunky to order - you can’t simply increase the quantity of something you’ve ordered - you need to do it again from scratch - and even the button to add more food says something not intuitive like “Add a drink.” Ordering on this app typically takes twice as long as similar businesses. As a working parent with crunched time, this often dilutes the appeal of being able to quickly reorder things we’ve ordered in the past. I hope Cava can make their app as good as their food!

Unusable. The new app is unusable. Re-ordering a past order doesn’t work at all. Today when I tried, it just keeps dumping me to a screen asking if I wanted to re-order. The last time I tried to re-order it allowed me to do it but I found it incredibly difficult and unintuitive to tweak a past order before placing it. The interface is too focused on just looking cool and not nearly enough on clear simple usability. This app should be used as an example for how NOT to design an app.

Awful update - bad UX design. I used to be able to make an order quickly and know what I was ordering. This new update is frustrating. I don’t want to write a story with my order... it used to give info about what was in each option too and now we’ve got no info, no insight into how many choices before it charges extra (until you’ve clicked enough, but knowing how many you get informs the decision). And, the options/images are tiny. We were also unable to figure out how to add our names to each order. I understand why they would want to ‘streamline’ it like they did, but this took way longer to place our orders with than it should’ve. I’m sure we’ll eventually get used to using this interface, but it’s not an app we want to spend a lot of time using... it doesn’t serve the user any function in making it look nicer, it should be easy, fast, functional, intuitive, and informative. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Loveeeee it. I’ve always been a fan of Cava since it opened in my town. The food is always incredible quality and refreshing. They have however, cut down on portion sizes over the years. It definitely used to be more food in my bowl and it is noticeably less. I think before it was a great deal but now it’s on the pricier side for how much food they’re giving you. That is literally my only complaint though. The app is fool proof. So easy and quick to use. The graphics are great and the simplistic layout is just awesome. Love love love love Cava

Charged without sending order to restaurant, customer service is no help. I placed an order with Apple Pay and, despite not being prompted, was apparently not logged into the app. When I arrived, the staff had no record of the order, even though I showed them the screen showing my order. I’m glad I took a screenshot of that page — when I signed in to report the problem to customer service, the order erased from the record (but not the $30+ charge on my card). When I reported this to their customer service (complete with the above photos), the Cava rep stated that they could “kindly confirm there was no order received from you,” despite me providing a screenshot of the order. All follow-up emails from me providing more information (which they requested) have since been ignored, and the fee has not been refunded. Overall, an awful customer service experience that was brought about by a glitchy app.

No method for logging complaints. Ordered using the app as directed - requested delivery as they offered it and ended up getting my food 20 minutes later from a CAVA farther I didn’t order from with the doordasher (they route for you I guess?) calling me not once, but twice to tell me that my address was wrong, despite having the correct address everywhere I looked. Went to my doordash account to see if it’s logged there so I can’t complain to them. No history or record to check within the app, so I can’t report this anywhere else. Only way to complain is by EMAIL, which in 2022 delivery standards, is absolutely ancient. App needed to add a record of orders and an internal complaint system before launching. Only use pickup and save yourself the headache. Food’s still not here.

Good but flaky ordering app. App is well-designed for ordering and makes reordering same items extra simple. Only catch is that the app isn’t always stable: Today when I launched it, it made me sign in again, then when I was trying to submit order and payment, it would not show pickup times and the Submit button was grayed out. I had to quit/exit the app and then relaunch it to submit my order. No such problems when using the app before.

Go back to the prior version. I’ve been using the Cava app since they first came on the scene. Gave them a lot of credit for creating an app that had the user experience in mind. Don’t know why they had to change it to something that’s not as well designed. First, before they would take you through each step of the build a bowl process. Now, you scroll through all the options at once and often have to go back and forth bc the images are smaller and move too quickly. Fixing it at each step is more appropriate so the user knows what to do at each step. Also, the nonsense at the top is hard to read. Lastly, the calorie counts across the app, the online ordering system (which uses the old UX and is grt) and the nutrition calc are all different so if you are counting calories and sticking to a calorie budget good luck w that. I think the issue is the algorithm for the rice. Bottom line, why mess w something that works. And if you want people to trust you, get the algorithms working.

A beautiful, intuitive, and inclusive new experience. I work in the digital product design and development space. I am a harsh critic on user experiences in my day-to-day apps. Never have I opened an app that recently had a new version released and been as pleasantly surprised as I was today when I went to order my lunch. (I was actually so happy with my experience that I tweeted about this as well.) The experience really speaks for itself — intuitive it is and it’s beautiful design and innovation for a mobile ordering app. I would like to call out how refreshing it is to see the inclusivity and integrity of a company shown through their user experience. The simple (and not hidden!) pop up to offer the user the option to either SHOW or HIDE calorie information is so inclusive of and sensitive to those with sensitivities around calorie counting. I know this is a simple feature in comparison to the rest of this unbelievable redesign, but I wanted to call that out as it does not go unnoticed! LOVE this update — congrats to the product team and all designers, developers, etc involved!

App update is horrible!. Update Sep 2021. Still 1 star. There’s no option to order additional pitas again. So frustrating!!! Update but still 1 star. They did fix the side pita issue but the overall experience is still frustrating compared to previous versions. I have to go to checkout to review my order because the tiny pictures are annoying. Also it’s not easy to order sides, have to slide through many screens to get there. Previous review: The previous versions were great! The updated version is much more difficult to use. Plus you can no longer add the small pita to your bowl. Also you can’t order a regular pita in the sides any more. User experience with updated app is awful. Please fix the issues!

Great Food, Horrible App. I love Cava, so this review isn’t based on the food. It’s based on this horrible app. Every single time I try and order delivery on the app, I choose my meal and when I go to checkout a message always pops up “We’re having some technical issues. Please try again or visit a location.” This also has happened on their website for me as well, and have happened when I’m signed into my account as well as when I try it as a guest. My friend has also had the same issue. Please try and fix the technical issues you always seem to be having.

Editing an order is horrible.. I can’t tell which lettuce is selected for example because everything is a tiny thumbnail now. This made ordering much harder than the previous app layout with “pages” of selections. You don’t get order confirmation in app anymore. Nor do you get a confirmation at the end before it charges you. You select the time slot in the beginning rather than at the end. So if you take too long to build an order in the slow navigation you lose your slot. Ugh. Put the classic layout back in as an accessibility option because I’m having a hard time with this. You also used to be able to name your entrees per person. Not anymore. No more labels as to who gets what food. You need to use the little thumbnails. Group orders are painful now.

Love cava, hate the new app design. I hate the new app design. Building your order with emojis? No thanks. And every time I add a new side or make a selection, my phone vibrates. How is that necessary? Very slow and difficult to go back mid order and modify. It usually takes me so long to build the order that I have to then choose a new pick up time, which is another slow down. I will keep using the app because I love the food but I can’t wait for the next redesign. Wish I could go back to the old version... don’t remember anything about it, but it worked.

Terrible User Experience. The user experience (UX) is not intuitive. I wanted to custom order a bowl and the UX displays a selection of standard bowls (e.g., Lentil Avocado, Tahini Caesar, etc.) and be titled “salad”. I selected salad and it wasn’t clear what kind of greens were in the bowl. I then picked Greek salad and saw that some of the greens, toppings, etc were circled, indicating they were included. I didn’t want olives, so I touched the circle, thinking it would remove the olives. Guess what, it doubled the olives. I then saw I could delete items at the top of the screen. There are many other issues with UX, too. Updated comments to reflect v 3.3.0: You can now delete items from specific bowls. However, I think having to swipe left to right is an awkward UX when compared to something like Chipotle’s. I’ve upped my review to two stars.

Good start. This is an overall decent app - I love the option to reorder my past meals and to see allergens. However, PLEASE make it so that I can see when my store has mobile ordering switched off. It’s frustrating and confusing to not know, as coverage in my area is spotty at times and I don’t know if it’s me or the app. I completely understand why some stores can’t always have it turned on right now, so this isn’t a complaint about that - it would just be nice to not waste time only to get a loading screen that never goes anywhere.

Missing a few features. It has an overall aesthetically pleasing design and easy ordering process. Since I always customize my meals or even do build-your-own, I would love to be able to save my favorite items to make it quicker to order and know I didn’t forget to add a component (like forgetting harissa or feta). It would also be nice to add what model of car you have for pickup or license plate, just to make curbside orders easier if there are two black sedans or grey suvs, etc in the parking lot.

Not User Friendly At All. Let me start by saying I absolutely love Cava’s food; however, this app is maddeningly and unnecessarily difficult to use. Of all the fast-casual restaurant apps I’ve used, this is easily the worst. Using teeny, tiny pictures of ingredients instead of ingredient lists and check boxes is just silly and pointless. Good luck trying to differentiate between 6 types of lettuce based on a circular picture 2mm in diameter. You never know what you’re going to get as a result! I don’t like Chopt’s food as much, but their app is 1,000x better. You can have pictures if you want, but you absolutely need to have lists with words and check boxes to customize an order. There is no need to reinvent the wheel here!

No More LevelUp. The king is back. Cava ditched the travesty that was LevelUp, and was able to restore my account and my rewards. I never got a response from email customer service but I slid in their DMs on IG and my issue was resolved immediately. Now, this is the best ordering app I’ve used. Great interface and very efficient. I haven’t been invited to any exclusive events yet, though, as promised for reaching Epicure status, which I’ve had for several months. Oh and the food is really good...

Can’t handle basic dietary restrictions. My wife is lactose intolerant and we’ve tried everything to get a dairy free meal from here. They have no way to indicate something should be on the side or to keep it off the dish entirely. We’ve ordered from here a few times and since there is no way to customize, when it asked for a name we put “feta and dairy on the side,” but still got feta and sauce on the dish. Today we called in to tell them and they said they can’t do anything over the phone and you have to do it in the app. Just got home and the same thing - both tickets say “feta and sauce on the side” but both bowls are filled with feta and sauce.

It would be great if it actually worked…. I’ve had this app downloaded for 4 months and have not once been able to successfully use it. For awhile, we’d get all the way to payment and then get an error asking us to try again. We’d do so and then it would tell us to just call the restaurant. Despite changing credit cards out and trying to shut down the app and restart we had this problem persist. Today I logged on, added my first meal to the bag, selected that I wanted to add another one, and then got stuck on a screen with with only drinks and sides displaying. Despite trying to exit back to the main menu, I’m stuck on a menu selector page with only some of the menu. This app is so buggy! It is costing your company money as we’ve had to change restaurants on many occasions when we don’t have time to walk in or access to a computer to order via website.

There is no support if there is a problem with the app. I have used this app a lot and like CAVA. I have never written a review before, but the app created all types of problems for me today. I made an order and received a confirmation in the app and my credit card was charged. I went to the store and they did not have the order. They were extremely rude and gave me an email address to contact. I strongly suggest that you don’t order using this app as there is no support if there is a problem. I did email them and the auto response did indicate that there is no phone number and that you should contact the store if there is a problem (and of course the store says that they can’t help and they give you an email). Again I like CAVA and have nothing but good things to say about their employees. But I strongly suggest that you don’t use this app and just order in store.

Allergen update - thank you for your reply. Thank-you for your reply about the allergen filtering feature of your app. It is helpful to quickly see what is safe. However, I am still unable to directly communicate allergens to the restraunt through the app. Also when ordering a kids meal the app makes you choose a drink to check out and the only options are dairy options which are one of our allergies. Other than this inconvience our child really loves your food! We want to use the app more since the line in our city is always out the door!

Finally an ordering app easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised when I placed my order today using this app. Usually, customizations are a hassle to communicate when placing food orders, but not here. I quickly learned that each of the selection buttons will toggle between options for that specific item. I.e. I initially chose the spicy chicken protein for my pita wrap. After reconsideration, I wanted to switch to the the grilled chicken with less bite to it. I pressed the grilled chicken button and instead of completely removing the spicy chicken, it read “1/2” over the grilled and “1/2” over the spicy. Perfect! Press the button again and it toggled to choose just the grilled chicken. It was the same with the sauces. Press it one time to get a single amount and twice to get extra. Very simple to use - a lot simpler than trying to understanding what I just attempted to describe. Enjoy!

Good start — needs improvements. This app does make it easy to customize a Cava order — even easier than in person. It is confusing that a greens bowl at the store is called a salad in the app. It also seems to double my order if I use the reorder feature. Please add an opt-in feature for cutlery, napkins, straws, etc. it would also be nice to be able to specify the kind of beverage in the app. Of the 3 orders I have placed using the app, the beverage part has gone smoothly one time. Once, the specific beverage I wanted wasn’t available. If I had known this ahead of time, I would not have ordered a beverage. Another time, the curbside server heard “lemonade soda” for lemon-lime soda and brought me one of each (lemonade and lemon-lime soda) to hedge her bets.

First order; insane amount of mistakes. Usually love Cava, downloaded the app and ordered a bowl with very few customizations. This was my first online order and was looking forward to picking up food before the location closed for the night. Took my meal with my name and label on it, got home, and the bowl is an entirely different order inside. The only like-elements were corn as a filling and yogurt as a sauce; 5/6 fillings, both proteins, and a sauce were different than I ordered and it was apparent a different order was slapped with my name. I paid extra for ingredients I didn’t receive, and this order contained a protein I’m allergic to and cheese that I can’t eat (lactose intolerant). Was so bummed since I couldn’t eat the bowl a& the location had closed, contacted the help/customer support line twice (with attached photos of the order receipt and bowl in same image) and support has never gotten back to me. Such a terrible representation for a company that preaches phenomenal representation. My usual and I now will not be going back.

Ya’ll Messed Up. The app was a little janky to begin with but at least I was able to get an order in. Since the newest update, I do not know what ya’ll did to this app but you messed up. As soon as I click on an entree, none of the customization options pop up until I get to drinks and a pita side. Fix it please, I really used to like using this app for no contact pick up. I was able to place an order on Uber eats for delivery yesterday with no problems. For the past couple weeks I’ve tried to place pick up orders through this app, I’ve been disappointed. I never even write reviews for apps, that’s how disappointed I am in this update.

Excellent food, terrible app.. When ordering food, the checkout tab frequently does not save changes. Items I delete will reappear, orders that are renamed will revert back to their default settings. I will select a valid time slot for pickup only for the app to tell me that slot has been filled...but then I literally pick the same exact time slot and suddenly no issues. But because I had to leave the checkout screen to reselect the same exact pickup time...yep, you guessed it, everything has to be redone, orders have to be re-edited or added or deleted because nothing was saved. And despite the fact that I have been using the app for several months, most of my order history during that time has been wiped. Cava is a great restaurant, but they need some serious help in developing apps. I don’t expect perfection, I just expect it to remember the data I inputted only 30 seconds ago and not dump everything just because I had to change tabs for a moment.

UX of the new design is rough. The Cava app used to be super straightforward to use. The recent redesign seems unnecessary and is definitely not an improvement. They seemed to have focused more on what they thought was a cool layout than on the actual functionality of it for ordering. The new design isn’t intuitive and the weird horizontal scroll and weird mad libs style order builder makes it way to easy to accidentally clear your order/cart when just trying to go back a step or make changes to the order you’re building. These UX issues are aggravating enough to make me think twice before ordering from Cava.

Bad UX for great food. I work in the mobile software space for quick serve restaurants. This app is visually beautiful but functionally awful. Using icons for the ingredients is visually attractive but not intuitive as the icons are too small to decipher. There is no menu browse feature, the app dumps you right into ordering. The order history icon is not universally known (I work in software and I had to tap it to see what it really did).Account order history order detail page doesn’t show anything identifying about the order, not a name, order number, nothing an employee at Cava can use to ID my order when I walk into a noisy restaurant. In the effort to simplify the user experience, they cut too deep and left foundational features out of the app. Keep the beautiful graphics but bring us some better functionality please.

Had to enter my address 3 times. This app is insanely bad. I had to enter my address 3 times and my order 2 times because I had the audacity to press the wrong button at the wrong point in the flow I guess? One time I just wanted to double check that I had entered my address correctly since they only display address line 1 on the checkout page (so not my apartment number) and I guess that was the wrong move because poof! My address was gone and so was my order! Time to start it all over. I hate also hate the order UI. I do not find it to be intuitive. It is hard to deselect something, especially if you have selected other items after the one you want to get rid of. I’m not sure how I keep ending up with a lentil avocado bowl in my bad. I love, love love Cava and will continue to eat their delicious food, but I prefer ordering through the website, or just about any other way, to ordering this this over designed, over engineered and under tested app.

Please confirm pick up time. The food is great and the app is nice and slick. My only suggestion is to confirm pick up time before placing the order. Because the soonest time is pre selected, it is very easy to miss if you are ordering for pickup in the future. This has caused me to place my order for pickup fifteen minutes in the future rather than the intended time of an hour later.

The newly updated app is a big regression. I used to be a huge fan of the Cava app (weekly ordered, would promote it to others) unfortunately the newly update UI is terrible. Certain functionality just doesn’t work (order again) and the new mad libs flow of creating your order is a cute idea but is not user friendly at all. Why would you make the selections smaller than before and waste the screen with the text? Also how many people accidentally order the lentil avocado or tap that and then have to restart 😖 If the food weren’t so delicious I would struggle to keep using this - some serious product oversights

Cava food is great, Cava app is not. I love the Cava food. I do not love the Cava app. For how wonderful the food and in-store experience are, I would expect the app to have some common order flows and technical issues worked out. Good luck modifying an order you made in the past, you’ll crash the app! Trying to place and order? Nope, “Technical issue, go visit us in person.” Or try again four times and, oops, the thing you deleted from your cart was ordered, too! On a positive note, the app does a great job helping you make sure you’re ordering from the right Cava.

Great food. Terrible app experience. I eat Cava frequently, but if you could avoid ordering on the app I would. It’s beautifully designed, but it’s not very easy to use especially when you are taking multiple orders. It also lacks native apple gestures, for example, to delete something you can’t swipe like you would in others apps. Something that a first time app user would think to do. I commend a restaurant for trying to make a unique app experience. And it is unique, and beautiful. I just think it needs to be a little more functional.

Update is horrible. Had really enjoyed the previous version of the app as it was really simple and user- friendly. The latest update to the app is horrible. It’s like you knew all the features I liked and took them away. I liked the large menu icons that stayed circled as you selected so you could easily scroll up and down to verify what was selected-now it adds these tiny little icons in a dialogue list and I can hardly tell what they are to check my order as I go. I especially appreciated being able to add a name to each item, because it all looks pretty similar once the bowl arrives and may only be a difference of an item or two—-now we have no idea who’s is who’s. Where is the check mark for the free pita? Where is the plain kids meal? Not happy with this new update- if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

App from Hell. I feel like this app was designed to punish me. I had used it before and it worked marvelously. Today I tried four separate times to order the same meal. Every time I switch between apps, the app glitches and I need to wait. When it’s finally ready, it pretends like my order is recognized, but when I hit checkout, it goes blank again. I wait yet again, and have to re-log in with my email and password. When I get to checkout and hit add a bag, it cancels my order. When I skip that step, and just checkout, it says I have no order. I have no way of winning. This is the only way to order from this restaurant without entering the store, so I’m extremely disappointed.

Update is awful. The update is absurd! It is not user friendly AT ALL and is beyond confusing. I don’t know what moron thought any of these changes implemented would be a good idea. I can’t stand the pictures instead of the words when building your meal, I am logged out each time and have to re-enter all of my information, and there’s no option for a side of pita. The navigation of the entire app is also very tricky and trying to get back to my checkout bag had me add a whole other order! Ridiculous!

Love the app and rewards. This app can be a bit buggy at times but it’s still 100% worth any hassle. Makes ordering so much easier. My only complaint is that you can’t save more than 1 payment method at a time. When I switch back and forth between credit and debit cards I have to put in all of my information over again.

Process is impossible. Requiring a scan prior to ordering when phones don’t receive cell service inside buildings is an unworkable process. It holds up the line with people attempting to scan without success. Are you that worried about people scanning extra receipts that you cannot allow a loyalty program that can scan receipts when cell service is available? Other restaurants simply limit one scan per day. People cannot use your program for this reason. If nothing else you need to provide free WiFi as a workaround.

Love cava but the app is meh. I am unable to see previous orders. When dealing with lots of ingredients and several family members who get the same thing every time it would be a lot easier to be able to select something that was ordered previously. I tried looking around the app but I wasn’t able to view past orders. It’s possible I could be missing it somewhere.

Update app to reflect unavailable items. I’ve found that the app will not accept my order if the store is out of an ingredient but the app doesn’t tell me what it is so I have to change one ingredient in my order at a time until it accepts the order. This is a major flaw that you need to fix! There have been times I have just given up out of frustration and ordered food elsewhere.

app freezes when choosing pick up time. Overall the app is easy to use ... functional and intuitive, but it froze 3 times when I went to check out and it wouldn’t offer a pickup time. Wasted 10 min dealing with that then my pickup time was an hour later. An app should function better at checkout. I almost abandoned it and went to the cafeteria instead.

Their app is so much better now!. I know this is specifically for the app, but I would like to point out just how incredibly delicious the food is at CAVA! They have been a god-send for the fast-food industry when trying to eat something that isn’t awful for you. Their app is very easy to navigate, and runs very smooth. It is so much better than what it was back about 10 months ago!

Better than the website. The only issue I have with the ordering system is that if you reorder and the restaurant is out of one of the items you added last time you have to renter your entire order. It would be better if you had the option to edit a past order or if it told you what was out of stock.

Love it but…. I love the way the app is structured and looks. It makes it so easy to other and know what I’m doing. The only issue is that when I order for pickup or delivery the app crashes. I can never tell if the transaction went through or when my food will be ready. I try to restart my phone or the app and it just doesn’t open back up until an hour later.

Simply incredible user experience. As a product designer, this app blows me away. Incredibly well designed ordering experience with thoughtful touches throughout. It raises the bar in a big way and re-imagines conventions without making it difficult for users. Will your food be ready on time? Maybe. But this app is a joy to use. Props to the team who worked on it

Doesn’t have all the options. I only used this app because I forgot my wallet and I tried to order what I always get and it wasn’t possible. You can only get 2 dressings and there is no possible way to order a side of dressing. I also usually ask to buy an extra pita on the side and that wasn’t an option either. I ended up having to pay $8 for a plain pita with a side of dressing and they forgot the dressing anyways. Not to mention they didn’t even give me the mini pita it was supposed to come with. Just go inside and order so you can see what they are doing.

Good App but needs a couple things. The app works pretty well but there are some issues… if you want dressings on the side it doesn’t give you that option… Also would be better to have more control of meats like 1/2 order of this or full order of that plus a half order of this… Small things but they would make it much easier to customize it…

Terrible. I don’t know if it’s was me or what but my last experience was awful, I was trying to pre order my food to pickup it at a specific time and it wouldn’t let me choose that and I thought maybe it would ask me later but it never did so I order the food without realizing that and had to picked up 2 hours later and it was just sitting there the whole time because it wouldn’t let me cancel the freaking thing! Also it didn’t let me get my dressing on the side… It was so much easier to order from the website!!

No “Done” Button. I like the app, but after you make a selection, there’s no “done” or “order another item” button. The only way to go order more is to click the “order drink or side” button, which takes you to the main menu. It’s a little confusing. An “order another item” or “order more food” button would be better. Thanks.

Cava. they were having an especially busy day which is a good problem for them, they had new staff members in training and they were so kind as to grant me my meal for free for the wait. they did not need to do that as i was willing to pay, at the very least they should deserve a 5 star rating for excellent customer service

James at the Coppell Location…. …was super nice and welcoming. First off, it’s my third time coming to that location and it’s always inviting and clean. The staff are quick and friendly. On this day, I forgot to order a drink with my to-go meal. James, the manager, gave me a complementary drink and thanked me for my business! Well…not to worry, James, I will be back! Thanks, CAVA!

Steadily improving, but more improvements needed. In the past, this app has been so clunky and frustrating, that it almost discouraged me from dining at cava altogether. The latest changes are welcome. This time, the app did not forget my history of orders, even after the update. My one complaint is, it was challenging to consult the history to add a additional meal after an order was already started.

Love Cava and the App. My only suggestion for improvement of the app is that it would be great to order more than one quantity of something. For example, my husband and I like the same custom bowl, and my kids like the same kids meal combination. However, as far as I can tell, I have to order each thing separately, rather than two of the adult bowls and two of the kids meals. Just a suggestion!

Unnecessarily Complicated. I just want to order some food quickly and simply, this thing doesn’t need to win an innovation award from MOMA. It’s like in an effort to make it so clever and super slick they completely annihilated simplicity and intuitiveness. Just please make it so I can change the location or go to the cart or reorder a previous order without swiping and scrolling all over the place clicking on random icons and spending five minutes searching. How bout just a simple menu at the top or bottom and some labels.

Good food but there’s no way to ask for help on app. Good food but there’s no way to ask for help on app regarding an order you placed like when they messed up, I had this issue today after going home, I live 35 minutes away so going back wouldn’t of been an option but I feel a feature to be able to communicate these issues would be good customer service

Looks so yummy!. The photography is amazing and the user experience while ordering was super easy. However when I was making my account, it was very difficult to read the prompts for adding my information. The text was very light on a white background and I literally had to tilt my phone screen at an angle and squint to read. Not a huge deal but I figured the app designers should be aware of this small flaw! Very excited to pick up my cava :)

Updated design wrecked functionality. New app design is frustrating and unintuitive. The sizing of my meal selections is minuscule to make room for my order’s “story”. At the end I clicked checkout like I always have and it immediately placed my order without ever prompting a confirmation of payment method. Also, the final screen before checkout is now a pictorial representation rather than a written punch list, which would be fine if it wasn’t so tiny as to render it useless. The attempt at aesthetic appeal has stripped it of functionality.

Worst app of all time. This apo could not be worse it is impossible to place an order. The numbe of times I’ve had to redo my order was absurd. The number of times there were errors when checking out were ridiculous. Then the order finally seems to get placed but it still says errors and if no for my credit card notification I would have thought it still didn’t go through. I can’t even leave the app screen and come back without the screen going all white and not responding. It also made me log in 3 separate times so yes worst app of all time

You’re app update is awful. I have been using the Cava app for several years now and it has been a simple straightforward process. Your latest update is absolute trash and frankly doesn’t work. I tried to simply order one of my saved orders and couldn’t find it. Not sure where it went. Then I tried to reorder a previous order and it wouldn’t even let me get to the checkout and order stage. So instead of ordering and it being ready to pick up when I get there I now have to stand in line. Fix this hot garbage.

Unreasonably difficult to navigate. This new app is unreasonably difficult to navigate, and it’s not due to server issues. Another person compared it to Mad Libs and that’s exactly what this is!! I know it pays to be creative, but when it takes away from the app’s purpose it doesn’t make sense. Instead of listing out the order it’s added in paragraph form with pictures, like a story book. Also, Order History isn’t available so what normally takes a few clicks took much longer . If I’d been pressed for time I would’ve ordered elsewhere. Please update this to be user-friendly!

All is bad. Navigation to account section is bad. It assumes you already have an account and can’t navigate to where you create a new account. After deleting and reinstalling the app, I could navigate to create an account, but it won’t accept any phone numbers and you can’t create an account without one. Cava, this app is an embarrassment. Pay the appropriate amount of money and hire a real app development company.

New App is Awful. New app is atrocious. Whoever designed this should be fired immediately. There was nothing wrong with the old app. The new one is a steaming pile of garbage that attempts to be “modern” but is really just more clicks, more complicated, and a PITA to use, especially when ordering more than one item. I see on lots of reviews you’ve left a link to a page with a video that shows how to use the app. If you need to watch a video to explain to customers how to order food on your app, that’s pathetic and indicative of how awful the app interface is. Fire everyone involved with this abomination.

Pretty but a lot of issues. Cava is one of my favorite places to eat but their app updates are embarrassingly awful. You can’t change the location at any point during the order so if you want to quickly re-order a previous order but from a different location, you can’t. Ditto with changing the time for pick-up. It glitches sometimes and just gives an error message over and over. I have several friends who have had the same issues and given up. The app is pretty but it needs a lot of work, please fix it cava.

Gift card flaw. Had no issue ordering but when I went to pay I was using a gift card that covered the entire balance. The only way for me to proceed was to select using Apple Pay for $0.00. Then I got the option to complete my order. Wasted a few minutes trying to troubleshoot before figuring that method out…which seems silly.

There’s no way to reorder. There is a function to reorder, and you’ll see the items in your cart, but there’s no way to modify them or even to check out. I had to go to the website to place my order. Also, the history of orders when I login via the website is different from the history in the app. They mentioned that in the description in the App Store, but that’s still pretty sloppy. I like their food but this ordering experience is awful. They should fire their software development team!

Horrible redesign. Fire the designer that thought it was a good idea to occupy 2/3 of the screen with the location you are ordering from, while presenting order options 2 at a time in a scroll bar at the bottom. Seriously?? What imbecile did this? How are they even employed, much less designing apps for a national chain restaurant? Sure, show me where I am ordering from at the top, but ordering options should be the primary use of screen real estate. Oh, and fire the manager that approved this abomination too. This app used to work well, but with this update it took a major leap backwards.

Can’t add new account. The app seems to have a glitch where it doesn’t have the field names to fill in when you go to create an account. I had to go to the website to do so. The same issue happens when adding a credit card, but can be done from the website. Otherwise the app is great! Easy to use and looks beautiful. Now that I have the account set up, I don’t foresee any further problems.

Frustrated. I have a custom order saved for the whole family in re-order. I found that to be the best feature of the app. Lately when I try to order it’s been saying there’s a problem with the ingredients , please start over. I have to do this with multiple orders , and had to do this more than once for each and every one. I would suggest if something is not available to add “ this ingredient is not available do you want to remove or substitute” rather than asking to start 5 plus custom orders all from scratch.... annoying

Can’t cancel order. I placed an order on this app last night about 30 minutes before the store was closing and did not see that the timeslot for pick up was the next day when they opened. There is no way to cancel the order from the app whatsoever. You have to email support to get a refund and there is no way to reach out to a human being. Most likely will not be using this app again.

Worst UX possible. Echoing many others, this used to be a great intuitive app. This new version has become so hard to navigate, I have on multiple occasions abandoned my order entirely and ordered elsewhere. The reorder functionality is all but broken and extremely difficult to make even the slightest revisions. You will be deleting duplicate meals routinely, if you're lucky and the app lets you. Move away from your cart? You'll probably have to start over, the app doesn't have a simple cart feature to return to. The order functionality was modeled after a lengthy dictionary definition. One very long sentence but instead of words you have to guess what the tiny pictures mean. If you click on one of the icons to see what's in your order, youre likely to make an unintended edit to your order. I could go on but you get the point. It's a total mess.

User experience update. Cava is a great restaurant, full of flavor and zesty spices to amplify the food. Even though this is how I feel about the food, I don’t feel that excited when I’m adding my order in the app. The movement feels unnatural, and the layout feels unequal in some regards. I think this app could be great! But if I was to compare it to Chick-Fil-A, my other fast food restaurant I go to often, I would say there’s a noticeable difference between these two phone apps.

The best. I personally eat Cava every other day, I would eat it everyday but I need to give it a break but the cava in Hoover and 280 are amazing because the always go above and beyond to make sure I am happy. My order is the same always and it is filling. If you have never had it you should try the build your own bowl.

Glitchy app. Cannot change pick up date or time easily. Keep rejecting my cc and would only take apple pay(weird). I had to pay with my own and couldn’t use the company card. Hard to put comments like no ice for the lemonade or change the bowl to all greens and no grains. If I take out the grains, it remains as half greens. I hope it won’t give me just half the portion of the salad…🙄but I am sure it will … Not very user friendly for modifications.

This app is a nightmare. So difficult to use. If you lose your time slot, it does not add the persons order and you have to start all over again. If the new time slot gets filled, rinse and repeat. While I eat my lunch, I am reminded of the difficulty to acquire said lunch. It was hard to find an “on the side” option. We don’t order the office lunch from here much anymore because the app is confusing for new users and wastes time for when we could be ordering somewhere else. I am left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Stupidest App ever. As someone who has never ordered from Cava before if find this app to be useless. I don’t want to start an order before seeing a freaking menu. And yet, on a restaurant app there is no apparent way to look at the menu without first going through setting times to pickup etc. Could you PLEASE put a link to the dang menu in a place where it can be looked at FIRST?! Pretty and stylish shouldn’t through usefulness completely out the window. They say first impressions are everything…this one has me choosing somewhere else to eat.

Glitches and crashes. When it works, it’s good. But most times there’s a problem with the app. First, I couldn’t see the credit card entry fields because the app doesn’t adjust for when you have the iPhone dark mode on. Now, it constantly has glitches, I need to close down the app and restart it , or it just crashes. I’ve wasted so much time trying to order on this app because it doesn’t work. And I use the app to order ahead of time so I can spend less time in the restaurant in order to keep their staff safe and congestion down due to covid. Fix the app! It’ll help your customers and employees!
