Not as great as it seems. Honestly with all the rants and raves of how great this app is I was disappointed. It is so basic that you literally can just use your phone calendar. It wasn’t taking deposits either. The square is was better which I left for Booksy. It’s just not anything worth $30a month for. It’s just not all that. I thought because “everyone” seemed to have it and they advertise it on Instagram so much that it would be more useful. I am going to end my subscription soon. I need deposits left for my business. And the point of this is to be easy and less stress on any business owner. I still have to get a deposit first before I book them in verses booking their own appointments. So I dono. I also would like to adjust pricing for specials rather than have to ad a whole new service all over again. It’s annoying to write a note to the client about the price and remind myself that this is really what the balance is. Wack

Not good anymore. When I first started using this app it was awesome. There were some things like instead of a closing time i would prefer a “last appointment” time. In the past two months clients are having complications booking appointments. They are prompted to make new accounts. The app tells them I’m booked when I’m not. I’m constantly having to make the appointments for the client when it’s supposed to be client friendly and that defeats the purpose. I’ve had clients show up for appointments that never showed up on my end nor did I receive an email for it. Client had their confirmation email to prove she booked it tho. When I try to chat with support they’re not responding in a timely manner and even when I give client names whoever had issues, Booksy’s text support can’t find the issue. Sorry but too many glitches to stay with this company. Clients are frustrated and so am I. I wished this would have worked better for me.

Bitter sweet. Booksy helped my business so much and I love it for the features I can use. However It's a little on the high end I only im only able to use it for booking which I will say is really awesome! I also love it for a message blast but I rarely use it there are many things I wish were available through the app I wish it gave me my potential cash intake based upon appointments scheduled daily like other apps that I've tried, the only way to find out is through going into each appointment and cashing out and I don't always remember or have time to do that at the end of each cut or day. There should be an option for that to be automatic or not . I also don't like that it doesn't link in with my phone calendar. I've been with booksy for two years and complained about these features from the start but paying $25 a month and it still hasn't been updated I may find something else for my clients to use. I just didn't want to change because that's alot for my clients bit I'm really considering it. Other than that the app is Absolutely the best of those features don't matter to you they do me.

I only have one but. I love boxy. I’ve been using it for quite some time now however, I do wish that there was an easier way to check out because when it’s not done every day, it is a task to go back and try to manage all of those sales he missed, and I would love to see a Potential total of profit weekly without checking it sales each time, from the appointments already booked. I’m usually booked a week or two in advance. Hopefully you guys will consider making this a little simpler for those who can’t cash out sales every day or every week or every month. I’m one of them but I’d like to know what my profit has been possibly a button where you can say cash out all sales or just a add up amount of what projected to come from booked appointments. I don’t know, other than that best app ever!!!

Disappointed. While I like the layout of this app, it’s a bit tricky to navigate. I’m not a fan of all the various payment options. There are to many and only two of them process payments through the app. What is the point for the others. In trying to use two of those, it generated receipts that say paid but clients didn’t have to run their card. I had to go back and contact clients to check their bank accounts for payments then send them a payment link (a feature that you should off) from square to collect their payments. Now I’m strictly running my payments through the square option ( my previous booking app) but, the sales are not showing a zero balance in the Booksy app. So I have to go check my square app to see the transaction went through. Also, if Booksy had a debit card and held funds in the app, that would be extremely helpful. I prefer keeping my business funds in the app and using my debit card for my business purchases from the same app. (Like square does) lastly, when I’m trying to chat with a live agent and get handed off to 3 different people, that takes about 10 minutes between them to respond to me, that is extremely irritating. Time is money, if I have an issue and need to chat with somebody for a few minutes, that conversation drags out over 30 minutes. I’m probably going back to square, but I’m trying to give this app an opportunity to meet my needs and fix these issues.

Starting to consider leaving Booksy.. It’s been a good app that has helped me for some years but they won’t fix the smallest little things. For example. 1). I want to allow my clients to book up to 3 weeks in advance and no longer than that. It only allows me to choose between 2 weeks and 4 weeks. This should be a CUSTOM option. 2.) I should be able to allow certain VIP clients to access deeper into my schedule. The whole point of closing my books after three weeks is to benefit my VIP clients to be able to have an extra week or two to book ahead. I want to eliminate text messages fully. While still allowing some to have special benefits. 3.)when I send out a message blast to my clients for updates, it doesn’t inform them that it’s me, so I have to type in my name so they know it’s me, that takes up limited message space. If they have ever booked with anyone else they also get those peoples messages. I’ve lost appointments because someone else sent a message that they had Covid and my clients thought it was me. No need for that confusion. At least attach a link with my page so they know it’s me with the message blast and not just a generic Booksy text. Hopefully they fix this soon if not I’m going to have to switch.

1yr experience *be careful*. The only thing I like about this app as well as other beauty apps is that it will bring you clients. But I don’t like that it allows clients to defame your name in your reviews. You can block clients that you choose not to work with anymore or that disrespect you. But it will still allow them to create reviews with discriminatory comments & threats about you that are not true or not the entire story. They do not protect you or your business in that aspect. I was called several names, highly disrespected & called out because of my race. Which is very sad because all of my ratings explain my true character from clients who have been with me for years. I tried the Boost. But i regretted it & cancelled it. It charged me 30% a few times for clients that find me on my own promotion outside of this app. This app will take credit for clients booking with you that found you from your own independent promotions. I have reached out to support & they have stated that their customers are more important. Nor have they done anything about the money they have charged me.

Boost promotion. The boost program takes 20% of the service price by sending you potential 1st time clients but if you already know them or were referred to you, you’re able to claim them as your client because boost didn’t do anything to help you get that client. (I claimed two people) one was a client of a barber that works right next to me in the shop that needed me to cut him on a day his barber wouldn’t be there, I ask him to book on the app. When I completed the service Boosky charged me $10 so I claimed him. One of my clients referred a client to me inside of a store and told him to book with me on the app. The client did Boosky charged me $24 I claimed him and booksy sent a notification that too many claims are happening they need to launch investigation WOW and my claims were denied!!! I contacted customer service and they ask me to give them proof on how I know them…… so I texted the clients and ask them to how did they come about booking me (embarrassing) only one reply I took the screenshot of the message sent it to them still was denied. So because I made claims they assumed I was lying even though I used the boost program and paid in the past without making claims. It really feels like they stole from me

Getting better all the time..... I was a former verry happy Genbook user when Booksy had acquired them. As with any migration and integration, there were some hiccups. Although some features were lost, others were gained. As I've run into issues, Booksy's cusotmer service has really improved over the last several months. They have responded to each of my requests within minutes and have resolved most of them in less than 30 minutes. As I've had suggestions, I've submitted them and noticed slight adjustments to the site. As with any system, you have to learn how to first use it, and then you leverasge it. I'm in the process of leveraging it and helping my customers work through the transition and if Booksy listens to the feedback from business owners like me, then hopefully we'll continue to make the incremental immprovements to make this system work optimally !

Payouts. I had to come back after using for a week I love the app don’t get me wrong they have a lot of features and it can be very useful I’ve found it very easy to navigate the only issue I have is prepayments and payouts I feel as professionals we don’t have full control over our money like we do with most booking apps. The time it takes for us to receive a payout is ridiculously too long and it is sort of an inconvenience to one. I feel there should be a way prepayments are paid out that same day instead of being split into multiple payouts that’s where it causes alot of confusion and if I do process a payment with the card reader I received I can cash out anything under $100 which is crazy I should be able to cash out any amount I’ve received i feel this is the only downfall to the app and when that systems runs better the app will be a 5 star to me.

Get it together. For the most part I like using the app because it helps me with my appointments and clients. But for some reason sometimes my hours change or the options change without my consent. I try to send emails or messages to clients/selected clients from my client list and it doesn’t work for me. I reached out to them at least two times about the issue and all they say is that they are working on it. Also lately every time are use the customer chat for help on anything they have been taking days to reply, I’ve asked the same thing three times in the past three days and no reply. When I first started using Booksy,Everything was great had no complaints. It seems over the last several months that there have been issues. Get it together or I’m just gonna be forced to use another booking app.

Disappointed. I was disappointed in this app in 2017 which is why I stopped using it. I then started using theCut which is absolutely flawless unfortunately I joined a team which all use Booksy so I took one for the team and changed back to avoid customer confusion. It’s 2019 and I’m still dissatisfied, disappointed and disgusted on how slow they are fixing issues. And how terrible the app works at times. I’ve been complaining about the same issue for months. My portfolio flashes constantly and pictures are always duplicating, i have the customer version as well looked myself up and on portfolio the pictures duplicate. I don’t know why they don’t just display photos in a grid style. The photos look horrible if you don’t display them correctly and can take time to load especially if you use your portrait mode on iPhone. I would of gave a 1 star but I’ve gotten a few new clients however this app is NOT worth what they charge. They’re quick to take their $30 but slow as hell fixing issues.

Booksy review. Im a very busy barber i use to do old fashion way writing Appts down but it started to get overwhelming with calls, txt and messages from multiple social media apps. So i had to figure out something that would make my life less stressful. So buddy of mine showed me the app and we both gave it go and business has been running so much smoother than before. Its even helped my clientele grow! My clients can book themselves, go back on to reschedule or do any modifying with their appt. it sends reminders, I like i can block out days ahead of time for my children’s sports, vacation etc. Helps market & advertise It’s basically your personal secretary. You can give your clients your full attention and also enjoy life outside of work with no interruptions. I Definitely recommend to anyone especially if you’re a busy individual.

Overall good app!. Booksy has been a solid booking app, and is definitely convenient for all involved. There are some things I believe would be super helpful for users: •Allow administrators the option to book reoccurring appointments/reservations. •Make it VERY CLEAR when there is a wait time in between services- This is a huge one! People just don’t see it! They book a service, then add a service and just automatically assume that makes it a back to back appointment.(Maybe make that alert a BRIGHT color or make them click an ok) I have been a user for a few years now and I still have to correct this issue weekly. It really is a stressor and can definitely jam up a schedule- when it’s not the users fault. •Make a much more accessible place to put in notes about your client that are easily updatable. If these updates were incorporated it would be the best app I’ve ever used. I spend a lot of time on it and these are things that would truly make a huge difference for administrators using the app for business. I truly hope this review is taken into account and reaches someone who can make those changes🙏🏻

Highly Recommended!. So before I started using booksy, I used to have my clients book through my website. I made the decision to switch over to booksy because of talking to a number of my barber friends who use booksy. They all said that they highly recommend it & once I switched over, I finally found out for myself why they bragged about it. It makes everything so much more simpler & easier for you. It’s like you have a middle man that’s actually doing all of the work that you don’t have to do, so that you can work a lot smoother, easier & stress free. Basically, teamwork makes the dream work! If you’re on the fence about booksy, then get off the fence & sign up!

Scam. Beware of this app it is a scam. Nothing but a head ache from day one. Customer service does not resolve issues and management does not call back. I have $1000 in lost transactions because their app was telling that it had charged my clients( after I had swiped their card) after a week and no money had gotten dropped into my bank account. I contact Booksy and they blame it on me. After losing countless hours trying to get someone on the phone. now I have to hunt down each individual client from last week and hopefully get paid. This company is fraudulent, negligent, and abusive to small business owners. I wish I would have read all the bad reviews before I bought the app. Also when customers book their appointment with their credit card and you go to charge them at the end, if there is a fraud alert I their end it won’t let you know the card declined. It checks out and says paid as normal tricking you to think you actually got paid, but once again have to hunt down clients for money.

Disappointed. I searched a long time to find a booking app for my business, I was referred to Booksy my nail tech (which she did NOT get credit for). I started with Booksy on September 19,2021…. It was one thing after another after another but I was being patient because they were highly recommended and I really was ready to switch from GoDaddy. Well after numerous calls, several unresponsive chats, and just waaay to many hiccups I finally gave up on October 26th, it felt like I was in a narcissistic relationship, I tried, I wanted this app so bad but nothing worked, everything was a struggle, I have been in the hair industry for 20+ years, I am fully aware of mishaps, misunderstandings etc… but this tested my patients on a whole other level, the stress was not worth it and maybe just maybe this wasn’t meant to be, which is unfortunate because I was already starting to tell folks about this app in my salon suites building, this is before I ran into all the issues. Hopefully they get better

Felicia G from LB. I love booksy I am not very tech savvy so booksy is great for me it is very user friendly. I can navigate through it easily and not get redirected to another page like some booking sights. It doesn’t force me to make clients pay online, I don’t have to force my clients to leave a deposit for every service I can choose which services need a deposit and which services don’t. I have used other booking sight in the past, and my client have had issue with there card being charged twice or even there card being used with other stylist on the sight. So I never feel comfortable making people leave there card information but booksy allows me to choose if I want add that or not.

Get it!!!. I have been using the app for 5 years or so. It is as advertised. Simple to use and if you have any questions they are there to not only answer the questions you may have but make sure that your issue is resolved. The app has faulted on me twice but the booksy team stays on top of things and usually fix any problems the app is having right away. Not going to fault them but suggest that when it does happen customer service should always be first priority. Give your users a discount, you have no idea how frustrating it can be when not working properly. Other than that I still give 5 stars because it does not happen often and is fixed promptly. Use the app you won’t be disappointed!!!

It’s ok. I’ve been with Booksy now for over a year and found that they have some improvements that need to be made in order to make our lives (business owners) easier. I’ve joined a few of their live meetings and thought maybe it would get better but it seems as though all the features are still the same. For example you cannot book a client on the backend and have it show up in your calendar on the book say. Meaning I would have to still create two calendars one on my phone and one on booksy if a client is unable, for whatever reason, to book through Booksy. Also, you are able to set up a deposit prior to your appointment but have to ask the clients permission to charge it if they do cancel within your timeframe. These are things that are huge for us as business owners, so you need to consider them, other than these and a few others they are efficient in reminding the clients and setting up their profile. Hope this helps

I love Taylor!!!. I have to say I’m so not a tec girl. For some reason I couldn’t get into my books. I called and was on hold for 20 min! Booksy you need to work on that! Finally I got Taylor to help me. She answered and fixed all of my problems, and I had a lot! One of the most frustrating things about this app is the fact clients had to download the app and most hated it. I did as well because then I would have to book their appointment. I’m a busy girl and I really detested this feature. Well Taylor fixed that for me! Please if you need help ask for her! I’ve talked to other people that couldn’t help me and me or my clients couldn’t book for days as no one got back to me. TAYLOR IS YOUR GIRL!

So Far So Good. So far I’ve been in the game about five years. I just recently switched over to Booksy because the features they offered were better than what I was currently using at the time I’m able to have clients and future clients book on different social media platforms without having to go to the App Store and download, the app just to book an appointment. I am also able to make more adjustments to my schedule without having to contact my client. When I can just make the adjustments on my end and they can see it on their end and approve it or decline it. It’s just overall more easier to deal with so only time will tell, but I like what I’m seeing so far

Avoid Booksy at all costs. I own a barbershop and was forced to migrate to Booksy after they bought out the company we were using. The Booksy app showed clients that we were completely booked up for multiple days when in fact we had countless openings. I had clients tell me that my schedule was showing that I was booked out for months when I had countless openings. It cost us money and lost clients as a result of it. When we contacted their customer service they were of zero help and essentially told us that we weren’t experiencing the issues that we were in fact experiencing. Once I gave them the evidence of my scheduling disaster that they requested they stopped communicating with me altogether. Operating a small business is difficult and having a booking service like Booksy that sabotages your scheduling, it makes it nearly impossible to survive. It’s unimaginable the amount of business they have cost us. For the sake of your business please avoid this app at all costs. Terrible customer service and a disastrous booking service.

So many things wrong with this app. At first everything was fine customer service gave me his personal number to call for any issues I love the app has the boost option, lets clients leave reviews, has a card ready to take card payments. I’m starting to dislike this app for one the customer service is crap ! You can’t ever get anyone on the phone. You can text them through the app but takes at least 24hrs for a response. The card transactions don’t let you see the break down of what your being charged for it doesn’t give you the option to receive your money asap even for a fee like square appointments did. It takes 2-5 days for you to receive the money from transactions by card. I have to stop taking card because this app makes it so hard to track it. And before I bought the booksy card reader I was using squares reader but through the booksy app it would lag out and wouldn’t let me close out the service ticket. My clients are having issues booking it lets them choose a available time but when they are finishing up the process it tells them it’s not available when it is available… this app has a lot of issues it’s so bad. Just feels like this app is getting worse and worse.

Difficult app. The app is kind of difficult to use. You have to come up with your own way to tweak it so that it can show information. I do not like that it takes up to 5 days to get payouts. Customer service has not replied to my message on “support chat” in 2 days. The 800 number does not ever connect you to anyone it just says your in a queen and the line goes silent. They charge 30 per month plus other fees such as 2.9% + .10 per transaction. If you want your work boosted you have to wait until 5 ppl book and leaves reviews those reviews can only be made if they sign up for an account (which most clients don’t like booking online let alone signing in) my clients have told me the app is not letting them book open slots so I’m waiting to get back there is no telling how many clients I’m missing due to theses issues. Oh and when you do qualify to be boosted they may charge up to 50% of the service. There are a lot of catches on this app. Acuity was very simple to use compared to Booksy the only thing I like is that it’s a network where clients can look you find your work. After my promotion price I’m canceling the pro version for sure

Worst booking site you’ll find. My beloved Genbook that I used for 10 years was bought out by booksy so I thought I’d see how it went. What a disaster. Nothing was transferred over correctly, I've lost 10 years worth of history of my business and clients. People are booking themselves but then for some reason their appointments are canceled by booksy. Don’t even try to get ahold of customer service, it doesn’t exist. Nothing is intuitive, and who starts the workweek on Sunday? I am searching for another online booking site, at this point anything would be better than booksy, (hate the name too btw) so I have nowhere to go but up from here. Addendum: it’s funny that their “customer service” is so quick to respond to these reviews, acting like they want to help when it’s impossible to chat/email/call them when you need help on the actual site. We finally gave up after a week of trying to get ahold of someone to help with our problems. Good riddance.

So bad. At first, I was getting countless phone calls to help me out from onboarding representatives. I was assured that my clients didn’t need to have the app for me to the booking system. I had to manually transfer 8 weeks of existing appointments over myself (which other companies will do for you). Then I have clients informing me that they aren’t getting text reminders for their appointments. I call customer service and they inform me that clients will only get email reminders or notifications through the app and they said it’s not as issue for anyone else that their clients don’t get texts. I don’t expect my clients to check their email on a daily basis and reminders can end up in a spam folder, I also don’t expect my existing clients to download an app and schedule their own appointments (especially when I moved months worth of appointments over myself). I also had issues with the card reader that I paid $100 for and customer service has taken over a week with the issue and my client has been waiting on a refund for a double charge. One representive suggested that I delete my app and reinstall it (as if that would refund my client) the next one hung up on me after I was on hold for 30 minutes. I couldn’t be more underwhelmed with the app and the customer service.

I love the functionality of this app.. First off…I have to say that in the beginning of using the app they were very helpful. The person that referred me did not get her credit. There is no easy way to migrate information from a spreadsheet I had to manually put every price in. I offer many services so it took me forever. I did not get my free month either. The app itself is wonderful. Sometimes you have hiccups with inputting information but can be resolved easily. It seems to take too long to get your deposits for prepays and when the customer finalizes transaction. In order to complete levels some of the things required seem so far fetched it hard to reach them. I want the most out of my booking app without the stress. But overall it a great app that offers tons of organization and professionalism.

Need to fix the ability to manually charge. The app was fine before they converted it to Booksy biz pro. I find it irritating that you up your statistics by month, week or year including previous months weeks or years through the new development. The functionality of being able to manually charge your clients for no shows or cancellations through the app needs to be put back on the new app!!! This is a total inconvenience that you cannot control this and must log in to the actual website to do so. I still recommend Booksy, but am disappointed at the new changes to the new version that makes it an inconvenience to the consumer. Please fix this!!!

They tried to charge me for cancelling an account that doesn’t exist. I am a very small college town nail artist doing nails out of my dorm room and I though this would be a good way to just organize my clients. I didn’t realize it was a subscription but it’s fine because I didn’t buy it and I didn’t even get to finish setting anything up before I got 5 calls in a row from a Florida number I didn’t know and when I picked up it was the Booksy people. The guy on the other line started explaining that people were “trying to find me” specifically and calling them to get my account finalized which I just know isn’t true because I hadn’t told anyone I was using this yet and I do not advertise except through friends. After explaining that I did not want ads posted anywhere or for random people to be able to get my contact information I apologized and said I had downloaded the wrong type of app for what I need with my business and I wanted to delete my account. That’s when the guy said I had to pay $5 to cancel my account that wasn’t even set up or active? I’m not going to give any money to someone over the phone regardless but definitely not for something like that. They also do not have my billing info because I don’t have that set up so It’s not like they can charge me I haven’t agreed to any sort of payments. TLDR: got spammed with calls from this company until I answered and then they wanted me to pay them $5 for doing nothing and I hung up.

Wish the creator could see my message .... This is an amazing service!!! It can sure simplify appointment settings! I have owned my business for 15 years. Clients can find me everywhere on social media. Clients call, we write them in an appt book.. ancient, but works. Now I am loving Booksy. As I transition my older clients to use Booksy, i am finding out I cannot merge the physical book with Booksy. People are Making appointments on Booksy at a time already taken on the physical book because Booksy does not give an owner a screen to simply go in and block times already taken weather because a client called or found me on social media and walked in or they are older and don’t have a clue how to download an app. again I wish I could have a screen where I could just see my book and block times... what if I am holding a staff meeting? How do I block that time? I called the help number. A young man told me “just give everyone the Booksy link” I gather that ... What do I do meanwhile? There should be a little more control and flexibility for owner.

Working together to make a better platform!. I was a former very happy Genbook customer at the time that Booksy had acquired them. Initially I was very concerned that the migration and integration would be difficult. Initially, the ride was a little bumpy. My customers were confused about how to sign up and there were some problems getting over that learning curve. However as time is progressed things have gotten better. While Booksy has some features that are missing from Genbook, their Customer service has really improved over the last six months post integration. Suggestions and things when I requested for help thru their chat feature that took a little longer in the past to get done are now getting done in less than 15 minutes. I remain hopeful that Booksy will strive to continuously listen to feedback and make improvements so that both business owners and customers can have a great platform experience.

Professional and informative. “UnKz” was very informative she walked me through the whole process, she gave me an option on if I wanted a bottle of water or a glass of champagne, and I also got the option to choose my own choice of music. Which I thought was very considerate. This was my first time getting lash extensions done, so the experience was different for me since I’m not used to anyone working on my eyes. I was informed the length of service will take about 3-4Hrs. So I was able to put myself in a relaxed state and dozed off a time or two. Once I woke up from my session the results were worth the process and the wait. Pros: -Complimentary champagne/ water -Complementary face mask -Choice of Music Preference -Walked me through the Process (Informative) -Relaxed environment -Beautiful results -Wi-Fi was a Bonus Cons: -Not used to laying on my back for so long -Eyes were a lil irritated from time to time throughout the process, but with a shot of her misty steam & fanning, all was well. ***Overall the service was amazing and I will be definitely be going back for my 2-3 Wk Refill! Terrible app. If a company decides they want to buy out another company and make it better or improvements at least hire the developers of that company too . Because this app is trash in a major way I’m sorry lol I say this. Navigation, payouts , clients scheduling, etc… has been a nightmare for the past week of them forcing everyone to utilize their service app… I see money in the app that I’ve made but not in the payout section so where’s the rest of my funds? They place breaks in the calendar which are hard to remove , oh I Havnt found our still how to remove that feature the tech support is slow and also where is the 800 number …. I didn’t need any tech support or 1-800 while using Genbook for the past 8yrs ..I will not recommend this to any of my friends. I have maybe missed our in a lot of clients because it’s very difficult to use.. very disappointed 2022

Income generating tool right at OUR fingertips! USE IT!!. As I’m doing my best to start this year off right. I’ve decided to take time to really look through what Booksy offers. It’s been very easy to navigate around the app and Omgosh does it have ways to help generate more income. If I don’t see an increase in my business at this point. I honestly feel like it’s me!! I’m excited to see my books fill up according to my schedule and my income goals become reality! Let’s go 2024 Mind you, I’ve been in the business for many many years to say the least. This I pray is my last shot at making my dreams goals and talents come to life. Thank you Booksy!

Customer service is trash. I have been with Booksy for a while now over three years. Never really had a problem always loved Booksy. Two months ago I had a client pay and tip me $45. For some reason the clients card was charged two times for a total of $90. Me being the barber I never received none of the money. It never went through on my end. That was two months ago and I still haven’t had anybody get back to me I have called and messaged Booksy over nine times now. My client has had three haircuts since the money was taken. Now I have to completely run my business another way because I no longer take payments through books. You would think something that was obvious would be completed or fixed but no. I’m still getting the runaround and being told that a manager to contact me. Meanwhile Booksy is still collecting their $30 a month payment for me. Moral of the story is they do not care about the customer( you or the people u service)

Life changing. I am a newly licensed cosmetologist that was having trouble keeping track of my appointments & my availabilities, as well as my pricing. Ever since I signed up with Booksy my life has changed. I don’t have to dig through my schedule or look back to see what I was charging for services. Everything’s there, you input your own information and available hours, then clients are able to go through your schedule and book on their own. Booksy even collects a deposit at the time of reservation which makes it simple for me to be able to go and buy products beforehand. I know everyone had paid a deposit and I just check my upcoming appointments. Life is great now!

NO SUPPORT. I’m an owner of an airbrush salon and have been using Genbook for years, we loved everything about it!! Booksy acquired Genbook and we have been so very disappointed in the lack of support we have received. This is our busiest time of the year and were basically made to transition with little to no support! The in app chat takes sometimes weeks for a reply and most of the time does not answer the questions fully. Editing appointments and searching for clients only works half the time. All clients have to create a new account with Booksy causing clients that have been with us before to have 2 accounts, which we will have to manually merge EACH account (we can’t even merge in app, have to go to a computer) with over 5,000 clients that is not an easy task. I’m hoping after all the bugs are fixed this will be a booking system we will stay with but have definitely been thinking of looking for a new system!

Worst service imaginable! Small businesses beware!!. Our booking software was bought by this dreadful company and it was a terrible experience and lost an unknown amount of business thanks to them. We are a massage business and online booking is the main artery for our business. When Booksy took over they were so irresponsible. Many features did not work like they described. When I called customer service I would be on hold for close to an hour and the representatives were less than helpful as they often didn’t know how to help and lied about when our issues (that were system wide) would be resolved. The reps I talked to often complained how short staffed they were and admitted they were unprepared for influx of issues with the merger. When I would ask questions in their online chat box it would take days to even weeks to even get a response. I know of many other small businesses in my area that were in the same boat (were using Genbook then were merged with Booksy) and all had terrible experiences and moved to a different software. If you run a massage business DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE! I recommend using Massage Book. They actually answer their phone when you call, when you ask a question in their chat box they answer with actual solutions that work.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!. This is the worst app. If you are expecting this app to total your earnings correctly and not checking to see if the numbers are adding up to the actual figure...you better double check it. I’ve been using the app for a couple years and the only reason I’m still using it is because I have so many people booking me on it. Other than that I’d scrap it! The customer service is terrible. I waited on hold for almost 20 min one time just for them to tell me the manager “Tas” was going to call me back in the next 15 min...it never happened. Smh but it’s ok I’m gonna let everyone know about this service because I know that I’m not the only one going thru it with them. So make sure you look at what you earned that day by looking at the schedule and then compare it to the statistics for that day and I’m telling ya you gonna see what I’m talking about. They said run the report but why should I have to do that when it’s supposed to show you in the statistics. It’s terrible because that’s what your paying for. And they don’t give you no type of tutorial or anything about how to use it so, you’ll be using this app at your own risk.

Booksy. OMG I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The app was ok in the beginning then…… they reach out to have you sign up for “boost” which might i add doesnt cut the cost of the app and booksy gets 30% which is ok for someone who is struggling to build clientele which im not. NOW THEY WILL CALL YOUR PHONE NONE STOP FOR THAT BUT PLEASE DONT NEED TO CONTACT SOMEONE ABOUT ANY ISSUES BECAUSE YOU WILL WAIT DAYS WEEKS OR EVEN MONTHS. ALSO WHEN USING THE BOOST FEATURE BOOKSY TAKES THEIR 30% out of your bank account before services are even rendered instead of taking from the payment made by the client. I also do not recall signing anything or agreeing for them to debit my account for any amount besides the sub fee so how thats even possible i dont understand. I had an agent literally keep a chat open for 12 hours. Its insane how poorly booksy does things. And no i dont want to email booksy and wait 45 days for a reply defintely need to find something new

The truth. About 2 1/2 years ago I started using Booksy when transferring from working a commission salon to running my own salon suite I was told from my fellow coworkers that booksy was supposed to be very friendly to the barber or hairstylist to help with day-to-day actions it’s $30 a month. I have been a member for 2 1/2 years and I can pretty boldly say there are better options out there. Your money has a very slow turnaround. If you do a haircut on Monday you won’t be paid for that until next Wednesday let’s get that straight. If you want to know what you’re being paid out from from their system, you will have to physically call the processing fees for them are very very high. And I would really just recommend trying something else because after you load all your clients in with them, it is very hard to face them out. Best of luck to you.

A headache. I’m a licensed esthetician and a small business owner. I wanted to find a booking app that would help my clients to book their appointments at their convenience while building up my books. The booking app I was using before Booksy was fine but I needed more and some of the features on Booksy were attractive. Since I’ve subscribed to this software it’s been a headache to deal with. For example, when I’m processing my clients card payments, there’s almost always an error message, as if the payment didn’t go through. Oh and don’t even think about reaching out to chat with support, you won’t get a response. For a software company that’s been running since 2014, you would think the software would runs bit better. I normally don’t write reviews, but the straw that broke the camels back was me wanting to access my revenue for the year, nothing showed up, just a blank page. There are some great features but if want the added stress of wondering if a feature is going to work, go for it.

By far my favorite. So I moved over to Booksy after using two different booking apps, and so far my experience have been nothing but good. I do like the fact that I have the opportunity to set up my pricing and services as I like I also like the message blast option, and that I can upload as many pictures as I like to my profile. I love that I can share my review directly from my booksy onto my different social media platform. My favorite by choice is Instagram. I love the same day cash out option from payments made through my card reader the only thing that I would to see change is payment that’s me through Booksy to have it separated from payment made through the card reader, so that way it’s easier to track of when deposit will be made directly to your bank account. I’m still confused on how that but other than that again I love using this app I love the fact that it breaks down your pricing it breaks down your the money that you’re bringing him through the app monthly weekly you could have your statement sent to you at any time beautiful development.

Changed my life. Booksy Biz is life & career changing! Thanks to Bookzy I have grown so much more it has saved me many hassles, everything is so well organized & professional, all the features and all the things you could do is amazing! Life changing business changing! It is so worth it! Customer service is great! Quick responses! There are little things here and there with Boost that needs to be worked on so we don’t consistently have to claim new clients I was charged for, its also a pain to try and track every new client, the limited text messaging is a problem, should be unlimited were in 2021, no such thing as buying extra & not all clients look at their emails. other than that Im really happy n grateful for this app! Overall its growing for the better and I been a witness I been on booksy for over 3+ years

Outages and no communication. Update—- locked out of my account again- no answer on the phone- no clue what my schedule is for the day Here are the reasons this app is NOT WORTH IT 1) $400 a year for one person 2) Booksy solicits YOUR CLIENTS to try new service providers 3) APP OUTAGES : I’ve been “dead in the water” on NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. The app simply shuts down. There will be no notice , you won’t be able to reach them by phone and support takes DAYS of not weeks to get back 4). PHONE DOES NOT WORK I’m not sure why this is but their phone line can be out for DAYS at a time 5). NO PAYOUTS if you do not track your payments you could be missing out . Booksy held money I didn’t even know I had for almost a year before I found out! 6). Booksy does not have your back If a client doesn’t pay or the app doesn’t charge them automatically for a missed appointment you will get a whole bunch of reasons as to why you can not recoup your losses Bottom line It’s clear Booksy is run by persons who are NOT sympathetic to the needs of people in our industry

Why can’t I accept mobile payment???. So I signed up or BooksyBIZ due to the flow of how things work as far as booking. But my biggest downfall with this app is that I can’t accept mobile payments. I went in and tried to change to mobile payments and every time I message someone they consistently and asking me the same questions and aren’t getting to the bottom of my problem. And I’m paying $30 a month for this?!?!?! If I can’t accept mobile payments thru this app and charge a booking fee or cancellation fee then this app is costing me more that it’s making me. Especially in the time that we’re in. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this problem or you won’t receive $30 next month!!!!!!! Update: finally was able to fix the problem MYSELF with NO HELP from the platform but somehow someone hacked my account and changed my banking I go to a chase account. I’ve emailed, I’ve called, I’ve even “started a conversation” via the app and NOTHING! The number to call for the US hangs up on you after 15-20 of a repetitive recording stating that the next available rep would answer. AND STILL NOTHING. I need someone to call me ASAP cause I need this resolved as soon as possible because my mobile payments are suspended. And even when I put my correct info in the system it’s still telling me the info is wrong

No tech support, false advertising of features. Very difficult getting customer support Updated: March 31st 2022. Run, do not walk from this app. My account was migrated over from Genbooks when they merged, and it does not have as many features and is more difficult to navigate. It advertises no show protection features, yet if a no show client does not approve the credit card charge for the missed appointment fee, then you are just stuck. Also, if a client does have the service done, you don’t get paid unless they approve the charge from the app. I also got the Booksy credit card readers, and have had difficulty getting the app to run smoothly, ended up having to send cash app and Venmo requests to my clients, because of the difficulty in getting the app to work. Booksy advertises streamlined services with no show protection and it’s anything but that. Also, they lost a lot of my client records during the migration, records that showed me the number of prepaid services and customer balances and other client nites. Customer support is like , “well sorrrr-y”. Have a nice daaaay! Is there anything else I can do for you today?’ 🤮

Cancellation policy is a scam. Beware! If your business has a cancellation policy this service is not for you! Booksy protects customers and not business owners. I’ve been told how to set up the cancellation policies, no-show protection etc by their representatives, then followed up with additional advices from customer support and was assured that everything is set up properly. When the no-show happened I was told by another representative that all I have to do is wait and I will see the money on the account. When the money never came I was told to wait. Had to talk to MULTIPLE representatives only to find out that booksy asks clients if they allow my business to charge them for a no-show! And all they have to do is click NO and that erases their card info from the system. Bravo Booksy, couldn’t be easier for our clients! Your system is a small business scam. I’m switching to Vagaro asap

Not at its full potential. I have a problem with not having access to mobile payments because they’re third party. So if a payment is canceled, declined, or disputed I have no way to know. Also, clients can bypass custom forms when they make an appointment on a computer web browser. Therefore not seeing custom policies. Booksy doesn’t allow you to edit payments made with credit card, or split. Which is an inconvenience. I hope these issues are modified and fixed, ESPECIALLY the mobile payments. I require deposits for a reason, and Booksy isn’t a guarantee I will receive that. Update! I have contacted customer support and I was advised there’s currently no option on tracking mobile payments because it’s a third party therefore Booksy DOESNT get notified. Clients can bypass custom forms when booking online and not on the mobile app.

Great app. I’ve been using this app for a month now and it’s been GREAT! Reducing no shows by sending out confirmation texts and perfect for a beauty industry. However, the only downfall is not being able to charge prepayments for bookings which would come in handy for no show appointments.

Terrible. Gives option for 14 day free trial, then charges you and doesn’t give you the trial. Trying to contact them to sort the issue is near on impossible with no response to emails or supper chat.

Massage Clinic. Booksy has certainly increased customer bookings for my business. There are a few glitches where staff are being double booked but otherwise it has been a great choice as a booking system.

No customer service. We’ve been in contact with booksy multiple times in the last month to disable our account and stop marketing but their customer service is non-existent. Really unhappy with the service they’ve provided and be making sure to let everyone know about it.

Auto pilot. This app made my life easier!! Easy to use, user friendly 🔥👍 But sometimes people say the time they want is available but they can’t book it. I hear that from my clients a lot lately, so get it fix Booksy.

Card payments. Told me they take in app purchases then I pay for the app then tell me I don’t in my region what a joke I stopped using square for this app and delete my square account and now I regret it .don’t use this app stick to square.

Late cancel/no show payment options not available in Canada???. This Canadian version does not include a payment option for no shows and last minute cancellations. Only available on the American version... WHY? I pay 40$ a month! This needs to be changed and become available in Canada too. Very unfortunate I have to cancel my subscription and look for a different company that offers that option.

Wished the took deposits/cancellation fees. Got this app because it said it would take deposits and cancellation fees from clients who book. But that option is only in the US. So disappointing. Wish it actually said that somewhere before i downloaded the app. Everything else on this app is good.

Disappointed. One of my clients wrote a false accusation as reviews and I tried to reach the booksy team and they said it is against their policies to delete the review. My rating dropped over one false accusation. I thought they would be more supportive of the businesses that are using this app. After all I’ve been using booksy for over 5 years. I had higher hopes.

Love this app but can’t take payments in Canada. This app had changed my business for the better. I love it, as do my clients. It’s easy to use and I love that it calculates processing time for colour appointments. However, I originally chose Booksy so I could take deposits and have clients pay online but it’s not available in Canada which is a major disappointment and puts this app at a disadvantage in my country. Hoping this changes soon.

Probably better for Americans.. Booksy is a fantastic platform built on a super easy to use base. However, I don’t think it’s quite ready for Canada yet. None of the payment options or holds on time slots w a credit card work in Canada. Clients in Canada have no issue booking though the app and finding my store- all of my American clients can’t seem to get passed the error page “this salon has been removed from booksy” which makes me look terrible + completely defeats the purpose of me paying for online booking when I’m having to do it all manually anyways. For the price ($28 Canadian a month) I can use square payments entirely for free + link with their processing system as well as quickbooks. Customer service is okay 🤷🏼‍♀️ the couple times I messaged them about my issues with US clients trying to book they pretty much summed it up as not possible. So ... 2 stars from me.

Good booking app but needs work. This app has saved me lots of time, and my clients are now in charge of booking their own apts. However I wish there were a few things they would change. If I have a cancelation or an opening I would love for the system to send out a message or email to clients automatically letting them know about the opening. I love using the message blasts, but the system only allows you so many per month. This is a great tool to get to all your clients at once but the limit is annoying. Also if I want to change my hours of operation I would have to go in and block off all the days with the new hours. I wish they had a date option to change your new hours. Not just Monday-Sunday. I have my settings set for clients to book two months in advance to date and time, however this never seems to be the case. Ie January 5th 2pm should open March 5th 2pm, however sometimes March 5th doesn’t show itself available until January 6th. Like I said this app has saved me lots of time and seems to be the best one I’ve found after researching for sometime. But they need to tweak a few things for sure!

Good app, bad costumer service.. I usually don’t do this but I’ve tried contacting you guys about 10 times now in a span of the a month about an urgent matter with the new version of the app that I can’t even access my account anymore & there’s no replies back from you guys & when there is its barely any help. It’s like I have to force you guys to help me. I’m still stuck with the situation so this is the only way to get your attention I guess… hope it works. Lindsay’s Shear Heaven. I was a genbook user. Then they sold to Booksy, I was stressing out because I hate change.. OMG!! This change was AMAZING!’ My phone hardly rings. I can spend more time with my clients, I can make beautiful posts with pictures on it then share it! I can do a group message, I can do so many new things that my old booking site never did! Needs credit card capture. Lots of great features just really hoping that we can accept credit cards for new bookings. This is a high priority for our business and the one thing it is missing currently.

Waste of money. U can get the same service, if not better from other scheduling apps for free. Waste of $25 bucks a month. Customer care hasn’t responded to me for a month. Only select businesses get promoted based off the looses criteria I’ve heard of. A lot of bots on the app as well. Not worth paying for

Horrible. Horrible transition from genbooks to Booksy. Many errors and still can’t set up everything properly. Horrible customer support. Been waiting hours for any answer and all they say is it’s high call volume(chat). No Canadian support number to call. Not able to connect to google calendar. Not intuitive. Would give it zero stars at this point.

Simply Reb. I love the simplicity of navigating Booksy Biz! As a sole proprietor it offers everything & more I need in my small business venture. Yet, it also offers greater detail & complexity if you’re a larger salon (w/ staff & retail product for sale). Though I don’t make use of half the features being ‘a little guy’ I love that it’s still reasonably priced ($30 CA/mo), and their free trial let’s you & your clients experience it before you go giving your credit card info. The only thing I’d find even more helpful is if the app allowed you to make different family profiles under the same number. It sounds like clients can do this on their end, but it would still be helpful to allow it on the ‘Biz’ end for those clients who don’t feel comfortable using the app, but still appreciate the email/text reminders it sends (which we all love btw!) Thank you Booksy Biz for streamlining & simplifying the accounting/scheduling process for the varied scale of salon operations!!

I miss Genbook. I really hope booksy steps up. As a genbook customer for 7 years I was forced to switch to Booksy. I am in Canada, come to find out we can no longer use stripe, capture credit cards at booking or charge a deposit! This is a HUGE mess up! How can we be charged the same cost for Booksy as Genbook when we don’t have the most important feature. My business is going to lose a lot of money because of this. The merge was not so smooth. A lot of clients emails have phone numbers in them, when trying to edit a client card it will say there is another client card with that phone or email so it won’t save the changes. The marketing feature is a joke. I sent out a blast to over 700 people and no one got it by email. The customer service took 45 mins on chat to answer one question. I did attend a webinar before switching and asked a lot of these questions. I guess they just assume everyone is American and have no answers for Canadians (Sounds familiar). I am very frustrated with this new system and hope these issues are PRIORITY to this company. MISS YOU GENBOOK

Love booksy!. This app/website has been amazing for my business. I love it, and more importantly my clients love it and the “client” app. Through the current times with Covid, I’ve been noticing all the changes they have been proactively making. They have added tons of new settings and options that have helped make my life so much easier and immensely less stressful. Choosing this program was one of the best decisions I made when opening up my business.

NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Trying for 4 days to have issue dealt with. No online support or phone. Nobody there. Fine a company that actually works...

Great app. I love using booksy as my means to keep everything in order. Very user friendly. Only thing I wish they would add is the no show or cancelation fee option to clients that cancel within a certain amount of time or don’t even show up. I know they have this feature in the USA, however, it would be great if that feature was available in Canada as well as That is where I reside.

It’s cool. I got on booksy to put myself in front of people, I don’t feel like it’s doing that. It is giving me goals to reach outside of just making money, so I like that but I need to be in front of people..,. It’s easy to navigate but it also has my clients thinking that I charged them before they came to the appointment which is not true. I gave it 4 stars because where it does meet some expectations, it doesn’t meet them all, I still haven’t been able to boost or been given the option to, and periodically I have to keep signing in which is annoying

Be careful with No-Show Clients. The system is inexcusable. Having a customer who cancels on me last minute and doesn’t even reach out to let me know that they will not be making it to the appointment . How is it that your system has a no show/ cancellation option ( which I set up from the time I signed up for this app) but is LIMITED to what you can & can NOT do . If that is the case what is the point! I do not even get my appointments from this app , I work very hard on getting those appointments else where and use this app for my organization purposes and have my clients sign up for. If you decide to use this app just be mindful on what there policy is like cause you might not like it and it also might be an inconvenience to you.

My Business Booking Home. After working with so many service platforms. I believe I’ve finally that has everything I need and simplified. The help center is speedy when it comes to questions. Analytics, prepayment, and sun categories were everything I can ask for . They have so many templates and marketing idea I don’t have to reck my brain trying to creat but I can also create my own if I want to I love it . I can’t wait to see what other features they come up with ! Thank you BooksyBiz.

Statistics and reports unable to click to send. I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro Max from an iPhone XS Max. I have had the issue of unable to scroll am the way down on the statistics reports page without it bouncing back to where the send button is barely visible. I click on it and it does not register anything and I’m unable to send. The app itself is not fitting correctly on my phone screen because the notifications bell on the corner is barely able to click on it as well. It’s been about a week hope this is addressed and fixed soon it’s annoying having to send a help chat to request a report everyone I need one. Not a huge deal however I’m paying $30+ monthly for the app I expect it to work and be fixed promptly I’m not paying for a defective app.

Glitches. App works OK but too many glitches and they charge for everything. Even when you boost they claim your customers as their own then are in disagreement with you when you argue that the client was already yours. I will not boost again because of this issue. Also you are charge for text messages after a certain amount but there’s no way of knowing how many you’ve used so far so there’s no tally then then want you to buy another block of text messages for a ridiculous fee. The best part is that Booksy will shop your customers to your competitors.

Greedy greedy app. This app started off cool! But unfortunately, over time, they have gotten greedy. How? Let me see. If you rent a chair in my area, average rent is $150 a week. So I decided to go out on my own space. Here’s where their greed kicks in: I pay my monthly FEE, then a fee per cut, then they tricked me to try boost. Boost charges $10 a head! So tell me why would I pay $350 a week for new heads that might not come back! ( let’s be real) and then still pay my regular cut fees. The math is not adding up! I got off boost and guess what! They killed my page not to be found to people searching because they wanna pay the fees which it’s a free country oh well but now I get no new people when BEFORE, I was always getting new people! Now they killed my business cause I don’t wanna pay for the boost. Sad sad sad! This is a mafia move!

Game changer!. Booksy has been an absolute game changer for my business. If you are looking for an app to help you run your business much smoother than this is the app for you! Booksy takes the thinking out of the business part of running a salon. This app has blessed my business in so many ways. Clients are able to book, cancel, reschedule appointments. Clients are able to view photos, prices, and pictures of your work. Booksy does an awesome job reminding clients to share their experience by writing reviews. I can not think of one negative thing to say about this app and I have used it for almost 3 years. Thank you booksy!

By far the best online booking.. I’ve issued booksy for quite awhile now, Almost 3 years and I have also been part of teams who has me added to their, square, vagaries, shedulicity, and many more. It’s beyond frustrating paying for things that don’t work! Stop the shenanigan and get booksy. BooksyBIZ helps make your life easy whether it’s sending you new clients or helping you learn to market and get better with your #s I think booksy was set up for the indipendant, or team of oeofessionals that could use efficiency and their online system- let it handle its self- because let me tell you it does! I’ll never use anything else again!

My clients hate this app!. My clients have complained about how difficult this app is for them to use. I’ve also had clients tell me they received several confirmation messages with several different dates for one single appointment they booked. Also, the calendar doesn’t always show accurate information when it come to availability. From a business owner perspective, the interface is not super intuitive. Other platforms offer the ability to change the schedule quickly (like time off or availability) directly from the calendar. This app makes you go to the settings feature to make any changes. All that extra clicking takes more time than I have available to spend on making changes to the schedule.

Booksy has saved me. Before Booksy I was always playing catch up with my schedule. The only time I had to respond to appointment requests was in between clients or after shop hours. My family wasn’t happy with my screen time and I wasn’t happy sacrificing my free time. Not to mention the many times I failed to enter an appointment and double booked myself! Now I let Booksy do the scheduling and I just show up ready to work. Initially I didn’t utilize Booksy to grow my business but having an online profile got my name out to even more clientele. Stats say I’m booked 118% of the time. Another thing I love about the platform, they’ll keep track of the numbers so you don’t have to.

Terrible app and company. Having been migrated from Genbook which Booksy bought, the experience as an owner and customer of Booksy is terrible. Initially, my prices for services were deleted which led to people booking and having to be cancelled once they were informed that services were not actually free. Very unprofessional and Booksy has gone out of their way to remove Genbook features that were helpful such as email review requests- they only send requests when someone books organically through booksy. Another way to force people through their ecosystem but this is a PAID service and they removed a vital feature. Complaints to customer service go weeks without being addressed- their solution to me was “we may add that feature back again but no clue as to when”. Stay away- Booksy doesn’t care about small biz owners.

Nail Technician. I started using Booksy in December. It’s worked well so far. I can easily schedule appointments, add services , and change hours and schedule as needed. It was fairly easy to set up especially for a non- tech person like me. The numbers on business reports have not been accurate and I had to turn of the boost feature because boost was taking credit for clients I had actually acquired on my own and takes part of my earning from that client on top of what I pay for the service. I’m still learning how to navigate all the features but overall Booksy has worked well and has been a great tool getting started.

The apps lags a lot. I been using Booksy for about 6 years now. One thing I noticed is every time I use the app it lags a lot. It takes a while to load up and there’s many times it gets stuck with errors, so I have to close the app and reopen it again. One other thing about Booksy, it has the option to block clients from the whole salon for too many no shows. I think it also be much helpful if it has the option to block clients for a certain barber in the salon, if the that particular barber doesn’t want to continue services with a client, that client can go to another barber in the same salon without having a client block from the whole salon.

Well Done. This app Offers everything. I can check out my clients easily and have payments go straight to my bank account. I can create gift cards that my clients can purchase at any time. They recently added the option for pictures that go along with the service which is amazing because people want to see what I am talking about. I can create social media posts with a lot of designs. Allows me to link my Instagram and Facebook account so that my clients can connect with me in every way possible. It can seem a little tricky at first but they walk you through with a tutorial when you begin. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Payments. They are holding my money. First said it had to be $100 in the Booksy account for fast pay. Then when I had enough money they said I didn’t have a Debit card on file which wasn’t true cause I did in fact have a card on file. With further investigation, I found out that my fast pay status is on “Not Allowed”. I informed the support person on the app & they said I had to wait for the “payments team” to get it figured out. Now it’s Saturday & i messages support & This time I was told that I will get some type of message after the weekend was over. I am very disappointed considering I PAY $30 a month to this app to get clients booked & they are just holding my Money. Until they feel like getting back to me & Allowing me to use fast pay. Why run me in circles? This is very inconvenient.

Customer service is terrible. I’ve been using booksy for a couple years now and for the most part haven’t had any issues. However recently the link I send out to clients and potential customers to direct them to my business hasn’t been working properly. When I contacted support with the issue and explained the situation her response was “Wow, that is truly bizarre...” followed by “let us know if this continues to happen.” That was the end of the chat and support hasn’t responded to any further inquiries. As of right now I still have a problem with the link. If you were unsure of how to fix the issue or needed time to figure it out that’s totally reasonable. But agreeing that it’s a problem and then failing to provide a solution and disconnecting and is unacceptable.

Amazing!!. I have been using Booksy for almost 4 years and I’ve been able to build my clientele tremendously! I’ve been able to grow my clientele using the boost feature which is fairly new. This app is pretty much straightforward. However, if you ever need any assistance the Booksy support team is always there and willing to help (Which I Love). Booksy continues to help me run and maintain my business. The simplicity of it really helps make the booking process easy for clients of all ages. Amazing App for both clients and stylist!

Not working properly. I have been calling and trying to reach someone from Booksy to help with a function no longer working on my link. The number is not working and has not been working for quite some time anddddddd I really don’t have til he availability to texting in chat. Somehow a payment is till being requested and paid. I am not happy as it has been a couple of weeks that I have been trying to figure out what is happening with my link and what changed for my notifications to stop working for. It has been over a month if not more that I have to manually go through my calendar to see if someone has requested an appointment and I don’t like it at all.

Impossible to cancel. They removed the option to cancel the subscription on the app on the settings menu. In the past I’ve been able to cancel. I have e-maled them various time to try to cancel the subscription. They still charged my account. I have tried to reach out to them by calling and the operator put me on a loop and I’m never able to talk to anyone. I messaged then on the contact page on their website and I also messaged them on the chat that is integrated on the app and they have a robot reply. No support. I found an alternative email and messaged them there. This non-support journey started on October 15. It should not be this complicated to cancel a subscription. They purposely removed the option within the app to trap their customers. Very unhappy and will not be returning once I’m able to cancel

Concept is cool, but.... The concept is cool, but it’s lacking an important feature. You cannot use this app if you have a 24hour business, as it does not let you schedule anything after 11:59pm. If you have a gym, studio, bar, or anything open after-hours you will not be able to book those hours with this app. Also, it’s pretty costly for anything over 3-4 staff members. We should be able to utilize the app for free even without a subscription or paying for each staff member, if we do not intend on using the premium sales services and features. Overall a smooth experience & easy to use interface. If they get 24hour booking, I might reconsider.

Just Another Money Hungry App. I’d assume Booksy is supposed to be like your assistant but I don’t know to many assistants that stick around after they put you to work. First off they take money from your clients then when you start to claim them they begin to tell you you are lying. They want you to show them proof thru screenshots of messages so that they they can confirm that they’re your client. I find it embarrassing and unprofessional to have to take time out of a clients day just so I can prove to you guys they’re my client. Is the $30 a month not enough? Do you want a percent of all my clientele? I understand that once a blue moon you do give me a client but in 6 months I’d be surprised if it was more than 6 boost clients I’ve made from the actual app helping. They do contact you at first and act better than most apps but at the end we’re just another number.

It’s.....OK. Though the app is simple to use, easy for me and my clients to navigate and it keeps me organized I really dislike this app. To begin with my pictures never upload to my portfolio clearly. It’s always blurry or it looks pixilated no matter what device I use. iPad and iPhones. It also sometimes takes me 3 to 4 times to exit the app and reopen it just for a picture to actually upload and not exit to the next screen in error. Aside from the digital glitches what I can’t seem to understand is why do i have to wait 3 business days to get paid after a client has paid on the booksy app? I hate that option of pay because it takes so long to receive in my bank act. Square is free and they pay you same day once the card is swiped. If I’m paying a monthly fee I just expect to be paid sooner.

Worst Company Ever!! Don’t waste your time!. This app scheduling software is a joke. It will waste your time and cripple your business. It constantly crashes, has a different bug every week, they are constantly experiencing “global issues” that either make the app totally unusable so clients can’t book, or a whole host of other issues… They DON’T offer no show protection and totally lie about their services they provide—and tech support suggests you manually book your clients. 🤣 They will blame their inability to provide the service that you pay for on any number of excuses. Then they will hold your booking history, reviews and all your information hostage, losing 10+ years of booking history and hundreds of reviews. I’ll be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau and suggest you do the same. I’m looking into a class action- this company is a fraud.

Overall the best app in my opinion. I have been using this app since July of 2020. I have had some hiccups along the way but compared to the other apps that I have tried and researched. BooksyBIZ still is remains my top choice. If there is a way to differentiate between client referrals and the Boost Marketing feature, I would greatly appreciate some information if this is something I can do myself. My only big drawback is that when clients pay thru BooksyBIZ, especially on the weekend it takes so long to get your money versus some of their competitors who send your your funds next day. If you guys could somehow speed this process up, I for one would greatly appreciate it.

Not so Great app!. I was really happy with the app until I realized it sends clients to download the app only. There is no browser option. I’m not ok with this. When clients hit the link from Instagram or elsewhere they cannot see my page, info or schedule an appointment unless or until they download the app. For this reason, I decided to cancel. My clients need to have a choice & I don’t think it’s fair to pay $30 a month & also force/drive people to download their app if they want to schedule with me. I have activated the boost option, spent a lot of time and energy ensuring my clients book through the app and leave reviews but I haven’t received a single new client from them and it’s a headache. I use GlossGenius now and I absolutely love it. Sorry Booksy. I tried.

Salon owner. This app is really a great tool for a single person or multiple people!!! I have been with BooksyBIZ for a while now and I just recently started using the app at 50%. I’m amazed at the quality of customer service that I receive , I am sorta needy, lol, and BooksyBIZ is always ready to answer my questions in a timely matter. So easy to navigate through and my clients just LOVE the app as much as I do . Great analytics as well!!! They are always updating for the better. I was in no way compensated to say this , if you are thinking about choosing BooksyBIZ , you will not be disappointed!!

Terrible, try other apps first before committing. Nothing but problems with this app. I’ve spent over 4 years paying for this app and I have repeatedly dealt with ridiculous issues. They change my bio without my permission. Allows clients to book with invalid credit cards, removes the requirement of having a credit card on file at random. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars of revenue and their solution is giving me one month free. It’s unfortunate but the barbershop I work at everyone uses it and switching to another platform is not easy. I feel stuck Their customer service is terrible. I have friends that work for the company and they can all agree that their only focus is to generate new revenue and not care but keeping their customers content about their services

Disappointed. I was convinced to switch over to Booksy from Vagaro with the promise that it was the same except it took deposits. I had more no shows than ever as my clients were not receiving confirmation texts. Viewing my schedule was far more difficult and there were constant glitches. I was supposed to receive a free month for all of the errors but was then charged. When I asked for the app to be cancelled (because there’s no way to cancel the app without a rep doing it for you) a representative said it was taken care of. Two weeks later, I found out it was not! If you are a very booked colorist with huge appointment blocks, this app is not ready to accommodate that. Hopefully it will clean up eventually. Until then, i’m back to clean and easy and $5 cheaper Vagaro.

Losing money and clients because of Booksy. I’ve been with Booksy for many years now. They allow you to book clients on a recurring schedule, however if the client changes their mind, and you delete the recurring appointments, months later Booksy automatically reinstalls them to their old recurring time. This puts me in a situation where I think I’m booked, but really Booksy made an error in putting them back in their old place. When this happened yrs ago, they would compensate me for it, but now they just blame me. Why would I put a client who cannot come, back in their old time slot and sit with no client or money? They’ve made this mistake several times recently, which forced me to leave. I didn’t want to, but I can’t lose money and be blamed for it when I know it’s not my fault.

Great app mostly. Things I love. Its made my life simpler and brought me business. We live in a world of reviews now and booksy has built in a way for potential customers to at least read yours. That’s awesome. Things i don’t love. It adds auto gratuity. That’s rude. A lot of clients assume because I work for myself i set my own prices and charge a bottom line. I feel like it comes off like a hidden fee and I don’t like that. Also, it takes at least a full week for your funds to become available. It says next day deposits, but that’s AFTER it “processes” which is days most times. So if its a Wednesday client don’t expect to see the money from that till Monday earliest.

A blessing to a braider. Such a critical tool for my braiders and Locticians. Being able to run your schedule, have your clients book without waiting for you to respond to messages, handle deposits as well as process payments all in one app is key to time management when running your own business. The ability to upload pictures and descriptions for each service leaves no room for confusion. And don’t get me started on the no-show protection feature that always has my back in what can be a flaky business. In summary, just do it already

New barbers. Try any other app first. If you are a new barber and you're thinking of starting to use a booking app, I would suggest you try any other app and make this one your last option. I've been with booksy for over 3 years now. Pay the $30 dollar subscription which is not cheap. I feel a bit stuck for the fact that all my clientele is already through here. Glitches are normal. Notifications lag so much. Constantly have to keep checking to see if spots are filled while I'm working due to not being able to trust the notifications. They offer chat support. They take so long to answer and half the time they gloss over the issue. I needed a detailed income report for my taxes. Couldn't get it though the app. Chat support left me on read. Terrible. About the message blast all my clients and switch them to another app.

Decent.. I’ve been using Booksy Biz for about half a year now and it truly does make handling my book much easier. When it works. The problem is it completely fails at least once a week, so me and my clientele have no access to it. It’s a weekly event now that booksy will fail and I’ll have to clean up the mess of time slots being double booked, appointments being cancelled or changed without me knowing- it’s a lot of confusion to deal with. I would not use this app if me and my client base weren’t already so invested in it. I don’t know if they don’t have enough server power, enough employees, or what the deal is. But if you’re going to charge us $30 a month to use an app, it should work without question. Period.

The best app ever. I’m a barber hairstylist and I’m sooooooo glad that I signed up with BooksyBIZ because thanks to this app my appointment can be done online and the app will remind youre clients it’s time for them to get a haircut!! Also the customer service is great!! Every time I’ve had a problem or a question it’s been handled with in no time and it’s been very easy adjusting from booking through the old school way to the new school way!!If you ask me BooksyBIZ is the receptionist every successful barber or hairstylist ever needs!! I will continue to utilize this app for as long as I live!!!

Highly recommend for barbers. Ever since I moved my clientele to booksy , my career excelled as a barber . It is a very innovative source for customer bookings , new and returning customers . Booksy saves us barbers lots of time without having to text message or speak on the phone with each customer , they can simply just go right on the app and book an appointment with you and then all you have to do is confirm or decline . You can accept 10 appointments in about 20 seconds rather than having to wait minutes or hours waiting on customer replies . But overall I’d recommend this app to any barber who wants to be more organized with their clientele 👍🏼👍🏼

Bad payout. I like the app in itself , it makes sense but the pay out is so bad and inefficient it feels like you’re getting robbed. The transactions aren’t processed together , so they will give you the money in bits Or you can have a pending balance and the transactions are from a week or 2 ago and you’ll expect the pending balance , but you’ll get PART of it because it doesn’t process together even tho it’s tallied up in 1 balance . So you won’t even know what you’re getting paid , what balance is left .it’s annoying My pending balance could be $350 but I’ll only get $60 ,$100 $30 in parts and It won’t reflect from the left over of my current balance cause I’m working still making transactions so it’ll put it all together And by the time I know it , I’m getting paid randomly $10 from last week from idk what or who ,( for example) it could have been from 2 prepayments , maybe it was a tip . Idk! Really misleading payments options. I removed it and looking For another app with better payment processing procedures

Buggy App but it’s decent. I had high hopes coming to Booksy from another booking app. It’s a buggy app at times. It helps you gain more clients & it’s user friendly so that’s a plus. I would love to be able to message blast my clients with need to know messages through the push notifications feature when I have cancellations, availabilities & more. Problem is, if the clients doesn’t go into the Booksy settings within the app & manually check it, they will not receive any push notifications. Push notifications should be a feature that’s automatically checked without having to manually check it. Overall it’s decent but not worth the price in my opinion.

Too many crashes. I absolutely loved this app. It has helped me build my clientele and makes it extremely easy for my clients, BUT I feel like I’m paying money just to tell my clients that they have to wait to book their appointment because the app is once again… not working. The new update requires you to add the clients phone number or else you can’t add their name for the service, you have to leave it blank as a walk in. Very time consuming to add all the manually and ask for the phone number in a very high volume barber shop when constantly on the go. Booksy please fix this or lower your monthly charges for the use of this app. I’m paying 35 dollars a month for it to not work 70% of the time. I feel like this is the same signal as sprint, almost like getting ripped off.

It’s very good except for the no-show protection. I don’t think customers should be allow to remove their card information from the app until their appointment is over because I set up the no show protection and every time I try to charge them for no-show, it said(failed mobile payment) because of they already removed their card from the app!! I think this must be fix as soon as possible! What if all my client remove their card on the app right after they book me then what’s the point of setting up no-show protection?

Super inconsistent.. I’ve been using Booksy as a professional barber for about 2 years and it is the most inconsistent app I’ve experienced. I get notifications for appointments that don’t even exist. May clients often complain that they get an error when using the app and are forced to call in for an appointment rather than use the app. At this point I’m just too lazy to switch because there are 15 other users on the books as well. Switching a whole barbershop isn’t convenient or Easy. Booksy should focus more on tightening up the way this program runs rather than add a bunch of new features. If I have whole days where clients cannot use the app then I’m paying for something I am not receiving. Overall I should keep track of the days it’s not working and request compensation. But if you’re a professional just use a more straight forward booking app to save yourself all the trouble.

THE WORST. The absolute worst. I’ve tried to ignore the issues for 4 years now because I didn’t want to go through the process of switching booking sites. BUT the time has finally come, having minor issues for a couple minutes to a couple of hours is okay…I guess. But for FIVE DAYS? Unacceptable!!! For five days now my clients have not been able to schedule an appointment because the app is kicking them out. I’ve reached out through support chat on the app, and email and still haven’t been able to receive a response. I’ve also tried calling and was on the line for a very long time waiting for the call to be picked up. (I called a handful of times) so please, do yourself a favor and use a different booking app for your business.

Potential. Booksy isn’t quite there, but has potential. So many bugs and glitches. I was persuaded to switch to Booksy by a sales rep. Everything that was promised was a flop. My whole transition was extremely messy for all my staff. Staff lacks knowledge about basics. Customer service is almost impossible to get ahold of. Basic functions don’t work or are unavailable. Unable to cancel appointments after finished time - have to mark as no show. As a busy stylist, don’t have time to step away to edit my schedule in the middle of the day. Recommendations : Custom texts should have the option to custom time sent and for selected appointments to remind different clients of maintenance for different services instead of only real time texts. I’d love to send clients texts after finished appointments reminding them of the maintenance for selected appointments. Payout breakdown in app including actual deposit amount. Prepayment mandatory for certain clients for all service after no showing Option to remove popular services drop down list on customer booking. It urges clients to select the first option that looks familiar, even though that’s not what they need.

Exceptional Business Site. I left styleseat to join Booksy over a week ago. Let me tell you it was the best decision I ever made in my life. Booksy was able to import all 1200 of my clients, and import my reviews,Which was very important to me. Styleseat charges my clients to book ‘ Booksy dose not ‘ styleseat adds 20% extra on my prices ‘ Booksy does not . I was able to talk to a live representative on the phone ‘His name is Alex ‘ he is also my personal representative ‘ I could not do that with Styleseat . I love this app already very easy to work with keeps up with all my business information, and is very booking friendly .Definitely five stars

convoluted. its bloatware confusingly complicated with options but missing the ones that count most. for example the app splits when someone makes multiple appointments (father+son) when there isnt enough time, without the option of not allowing them to book. (this will happen ALOT) with u being left to do damage control. 🤦🏽‍♂️ the site goes down the customer support is useless. i had been verified to use no show protection. the app was taking payments then stripped me of my verification status therefore voiding my no show/ cancellation payments i go to customer service to ask them why is it they changed my status they cant tell me exactly why. i entered and re entered the same information over and over only to be blocked.

Booksy Biz. I have used many different platforms to create my pricing, schedule, descriptions, payouts, etc. and None what so ever provide the range and ease that booksy biz provides. This app makes it easy to take payments from customer in multiple ways. And every step by step process of creating my services was just so easy. I love booksy biz. The only tiny little things problem I had was that there isn’t a way to report a bad client. Businesses and their employees should have access to be able to protect themselves from bad/harmful clients. And false reviews. Other than that this app is amazing!

Best online appointment. First take time to improve. Take us 6 month for clients adapt. Now tress free our business run by them self. Thanks. Update. After use to Booksy and they over charge every single employee even contact us to upgrade. Our total $331 for 12 employees and we have to open slot for walk in. They still charge us. We want to change to another online schedule due to over charge loyalty client. We been with them 5 years and still receive an over charge. Think about before register with them.

So I’ve been with Booksy for about three years I never in my life imagine that my life so simplified with one out Booksy brings another type of clientele ones that care about so if you were a quality stylist and you need to be seen if you want customers who honest and they show up and they appreciate your hard work Booksy will bring them straight to you there’s no doubt in my mind and me Will be going pretty far my clientele list is at 1800 and still growing oh that to my skills dedication and hard work booksy shows that to the world who else is going to do that for you

Changed my life for the better. Rosie reaches out to me in a dm and asked how I managed to do nails, take the pics and book appointments without a button. I was skeptical and saw her profile as a Booksy rep. I told her and myself that I couldn’t afford it. Rosie got back to me in a week with a profile all set up for me and asked me what I thought. I cried because I realized it took me months to achieve it. Rosie explained everything down to the fine print and I couldn’t say no. I love everything Booksy has to offer. The platform, the support staff, the clients! Booksy is getting me new clients in my chair. I am grateful to Rosie for showing me what I needed to build and grow my brand of nail artistry. It’s fine if you don’t mind them stealing clients !. I have used booksy for about a year and some change now , it was great until they started flagging my account as fraud. I have a very heavy clientele and I would have to almost alway call and complain about not getting my deposits (because they flagged my account). Recently I had a few of my clients tell me that they would be at the confirmation portion of booking their appointments and they would get recommendations for other people that they should try out WHEN BOOKING WITH ME !! This was a huge slap in the face because I have built my clientele from the ground up and for them to take my clients and try to hand them to someone else because they’re “closer” is ridiculous! So if you want to pay them $30 a month to take your clients and give them to someone else . Be my guest.

ChiTheBarber. Literally just stole my money and won’t let me access the app. I pay faithfully through the Apple App Store and it even shows that I’m paid up through March 25th. I reached out to chat, someone started a conversation, then once i replied they did not respond. Reached out via telephone and was told that the issue was their fault, so he reinstated my account. 2 hours later, back to square 1. I can’t accept appointments or see my schedule, which is having a negative impact on my business. Booksy has gone from good to terrible and their customer service is the absolute worst. I’ve been a loyal customer of theirs for years and still treat me like trash. I wouldn’t recommend anyone use Booksy. Still haven’t gotten this issue resolved and at this point, it looks like they just stole my money with no plans of fixing this issue.
