The best email app for IOS / MacOS and I’ve tried a few.... Glad to see Newton is back. Was a customer last year before they shut down in Sep 2018. Tried several others since then: Spark, Airmail, Polymail. None was offering the smooth UI on both IOS and MacOS, reliability needed for business email, and all features of Newton: killer feature is definitely read receipts for each recipient separately and each time email is opened, and working also on a forwarded or replied message, but also: decent Newsletter and spam detection that also works when your Mac is not on to not flood your inbox and overwhelm with notifications, Snooze, Send Later etc. The only thing for which I still use Mac Mail is searching through emails. That is still not as good on Newton.

Best email App - Please don’t discontinue!. I just received a notice that CloudMagic is going to discontinue Newton Mail App. Please don’t! Both my wife and I LOVE this app and from experience know that it is the best one out there! Just one log in and all my settings, accounts, and preferences are all synced and ready to go. I have advanced features not present in any other app. It’s the best email app period. We are subscribers and want to continue to pay so we can have this great service. I hope beyond hope that something will change and we will get to continue having this amazing product.

The last stop. I have downloaded every email client trying to find one that has the right balance of power and simplicity. I was hesitant to pay the subscription fee until I tried the demo for a couple of weeks. Then was offered a 20% discount and that finally sold me. I use Apple mail from my work and Newton for all my personal mail. This keeps things separate. Over the past six weeks I have come to appreciate how powerful and clean the interface is. If I had to pick one email app to use, this is it!

Great app so far!!!. I have used CloudMagic in the past and recently signed up for Newton. The main thing I like about is that I can use this across all my devices (iPhone, iPad and windows PC). So far the app is working flawless and deliver gmail immediately to my phone; something that Apple native mail app fails to do. I can also customize my signature with HTML. The reason I’m not giving 5 starts is that this is too expensive. I mean $50/year is too much for a email app. I’m going to use this for one year and depending on the performance, I might purchase subscription for another year or will discontinue. Also, all the connected apps that comes with it are useless. I don’t use any of them. So that feature is useless to me.

Great and fast. I like this app because is the fastest email app I have used so far. I like the email schedule and the reply notification features a lot. For my business Newton works so far and I recommend, specially if you have a high traffic mail box like mine, it makes easier to keep my mail box clean. The only side note is; the Mac app version is OK, it has the same features and all but the visual at least for me has a lot to improve I think and sometimes the Mac app freezes on you.

Lousy Support on iOS 13. Unless you type perfectly, Newton is incredibly cumbersome to use on iOS 13 with an external keyboard. I am using the Apple iPad Keyboard Folio and Newton refuses to recognize ANY of the arrow keys to move the cursor and also doesn’t recognize the Option or Command keys when paired with the Delete key. Want to delete by word (OPT+Delete)? Can’t want to delete the line (CMD+Delete)? Can’t do that either. Want to copy, cut, and move a line to a lower place in an email? Get ready to have to only interface on the screen because Newton won’t allow you to use the arrows to move the cursor or highlight text. I reached out to Newton about this problem back when iOS 13 was in beta. I was told they knew about it and that it would be fixed in the next update. Well, iOS 13 is out, they did an update a week ago (first one in six moths), and the problem hasn’t been fixed. I was a paid supporter and avid evangelist of Newton both before and after it’s temporary demise. I cannot in good conscience recommend it right now. I am sadly starting to wonder if this is an omen of how this app is going to be supported (or not) in the future despite it being priced as a premium software/service. Please Newton, pull it together and be what everyone is hoping you can be. If this gets addressed, I will GLADLY update this review.

Just lost a long email draft. I’ve been with Newton since it was CloudMagic. I probably first used it in 2016? I love Newton. I’m also glad it’s under new ownership. They seem promising. However, Newton in its current state is incredibly buggy. It crashes on macOS on a regular basis. It crashes on iPadOS on a consistent basis. It’s usually just an annoyance, but today it cost me over 20 minutes of time lost that I’d spent writing a draft that disappeared completely when the app crashed. There’s no excuse for any app in 2020 to not be keeping backups on-device as a draft is being written. It’s simply bad. Anyway, here we are. I hope things begin turning around with Newton, but stability is the number one most important foundational component of any app, especially when it comes to business needs, and Newton currently doesn’t have it.

Terrible Privacy Policy. An app that charges $50/year should not be using my data to target me with ads. “We may work with third-party social platforms, such as Facebook, to serve ads to you as part of a customized campaign” It’s a shame because I used to love this product and would pay again in a heartbeat, if they stuck to their original policy: "All the information we collect from you is only used to give you the best possible experience using Newton. We don’t run ads inside the product or sell data to make money. We’ve built a good product and charge our users a subscription to run the business."

Used to be good.... Newton is still a very simplified design email. Everything was shaped to be fast, light and very intuitive. As premium users, I was disappointed to see Newton shut down its service last year. Was closed to be unable to find an alternative one. Yesterday I was so surprised to see my favorite email was back into service (since Feb 2019 - a bit late, I know). Not hesitant even for a second to re-download and re-subscribe. However, the new privacy policy is very vague. Under Essential’s umbrela, it seems to me Newton is collecting every info of users to build a full profile of users. Too many general “words of guarantee” at points that need to specify. So upset and decided to let the app RIP. Essential - you already did a good job to restore one of the most excellent mobile email tool ever created. But you also failed it again due to your re-shaped privacy policy. Ppl can’t pay to get a non-priviledge service.

Best E-Mail Client & Support. I understand many negative reviews are being left by those who think the price is too high for the subscription. I used to be in the same mindset and tried just about every mail app worth trying that was available on the App Store before begrudgingly trying Newton and liking it enough to subscribe. After a little over a year and using the app extensively on my iPhone as well as my Mac I can honestly say this is the best Mail app you can find. Feature rich, simple design, it just works and it works amazingly well. Just research how much it costs for add ons to GMail, for example, for the read receipts or send later functionality. It costs more than the cost of the Newton subscription - and those are just two features. One last thing - Support. I understand you may not always need support, but when you do - I know when I do - it’s sometimes a pain to wait for an answer you need or would like to have right away. Newton’s support is unmatched! I can send an E-Mail at 11PM and get an answer LITERALLY within a 10 minute time frame. This isn’t just a one instance, I’ve emailed on numerous occasions with different questions and have always gotten answers within minutes - no matter the time or day. If your hesitant - Just give it a try. This app is amazing and definitely worth the money. Especially if your an E-Mail power user. Keep up the great work Newton Team - Thank You!!!

App not working in many areas. All of my emails from my husband go to my bulk mail folder. Yes, he is in my contacts. No, this doesn't happen in my main email account. YES, I have reported this to Newton NUMEROUS times over the last year. I either get NO RESPONSE or just hmmm, we don't know why that is happening but never a fix. My app spins a lot telling me it is taking linger than expected. Really? I could go on and on. Nit sure I will renew when the time comes. There are aspects I like but missing important emails from my husband has and is causing problems other forums wont have.

Do not use this app, defective and zero support. Cloud magic is not providing any support for this product. I even had to go to Linked In and ask one of the owners to reply because they will not reply to email voicemail etc. major issues including sending the same email every hour again and again. Can you imagine how that customer feels about my business when Newton does this? Emails disappear, can no longer be searched, even attachments cannot be found. When I try to cancel Newton, not only will they not let me, they keep renewing it and I don’t even want to renew it so I have to go to the bank andBlock them but that is $80 later. Do not give this company a penny, They are not legitimate. I have a right to service when the product has major faults and I have a right to cancel the service. They will not allow me to do either and they do not deserve to be on the App Store.

Sadly, it’s a fail. I’ll echo the chorus of other users, I tried really hard to use this mail app. There is a lot to like; it’s beautiful, has well-integrated cross-platform support, has many well thought out designs… Read receipts for example, like many usability features, are implemented in a simple and refined way. Newton would be perfect if it actually worked. But it doesn’t. Newton fails at the most basic and critical functions of a mail client: loading, displaying, and finding emails. Sometimes mail just doesn’t load for unclear reasons. Sometimes when it does, the message is displayed in a garbled, unreadable mess. Search is unreliable to the point that it can’t be trusted. These problems with fundamental usability make Newton nothing less than a liability. Support doesn’t exist. There are no apparent efforts to correct problems. At this point I can’t imagine why anyone would use this app at all, much less pay for it. I misguidedly contributed my $50 to the Newton fantasy. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Almost perfect.... Newton is the best by far on iOS. Two things make it just less than perfect. 1) The search is terrible. When I search by sender, it never pulls up all the messages from that sender. And it doesn't even pull up the most recent messages. It seems to pull in a random collection of emails from that sender, spanning the past few months, but it almost always misses the message I'm looking for. I end up logging into Apple Mail when I need to search for a specific message. I can't figure why Newton wouldn't just pull up a list of all matching messages, starting with the most recent. Seems simple enough. 2) I really wish they gave you the option of split panel view on desktop. The desktop UI is basically the exact same as the iOS app. I understand the desire for simplicity, but with more real estate on the desktop, a split panel view would speed up my workflow a ton. Some email clients give you the option, at least. Other than those two complaints, Newton is by far superior to every other email app available. No contest. In a league of its own.

Not Built for iOS 11 :(. Newton is phenomenal, but I’m disappointed that it doesn’t yet take advantage of iOS 11. There’s no drag and drop for attachments, and in fact the attachment file picker is worse in iOS 11 than it was in iOS 10, because when you tap it, you have to immediately tap a “Browse” icon to get through to the Files interface. Sync also leaves something to be desired. I consistently archive emails on Mac only to see them still lingering in my inbox on iOS, or vice versa. I love Newton, but if you pay this much for an app, you expect it to take full advantage of the new iOS. I would much rather Newton tune the basic experience than continue adding bells and whistles.

Excellent. Newton is a strong app with excellent customer service. I love being able to snooze emails or delay send as well as have emails from various accounts within the same umbrella. It looks good and works well. I love the way it interfaces with other key apps I use like Todoist and Evernote as well. The annual fee might put some off, but the customer care team ensures anything that might arise is responded to quickly and effectively. I haven’t had to use them much, but when you do have a question or issue, it’s nice to have folks in your corner.

Newton is worth every penny and more!. UPDATE: Newton is back. Since my last review, Newton Mail got even better with supercharged features such as Tidy Inbox, Connected Apps, Read Receipts, Recap, Snooze. Latest version implements GIPHY support. All this while still providing a fast and powerful but clean simple GUI. And it still costs only 14 cents a day. — I recently learned about Newton as another excellent email app. I read some negative reviews from the early adopters, but I read many more positive reviews as well. What it boils down to is this. Newton is a cutting edge email app that does things better than every other app. I don't have a problem with their pricing model, and you shouldn't either. Many of us own expensive iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches to use this app on, making our lives easier in managing the ever increasing email traffic. Folks, it only costs 14 cents a day! I say the benefits of this app is worth that price and much more.

Great app and excellent customer support. This app deserves 5 stars and the yearly subscription fees. It is clean and fast and on top of that, it has an excellent customer support. The team behind this app are improving the performance of the app constantly and I believe they deserve all the support from our side. If you want an excellent business mail app then do yourself a favor and download this. It is one of the top mail apps and the only one so far where it allowed me to have my signature as is. This, in addition to some other neat features that are difficult to find in other apps.

Great design, but dicey privacy and customer support. This is my favorite email app that I've used, probably next to the late Mailbox (RIP). Unfortunately, once I dug into their privacy policy and how they store your mail on their servers, I became uncomfortable with continuing to use it. I also moved over to using Proton Mail and unfortunately Newton doesn't support their IMAP bridge setup (presumably because Newton needs to route all the mail through THEIR servers). When I requested a refund of the app, their support team was unhelpful and callous. I eventually was able to get a refund by calling Apple directly. Again, great design. Really delightful stuff. Just wish the business side of things was better run.

Do not give them access to $$$$! Zero customer service options and unwanted charges. I have used Newton mail for years now. At the time my most recent subscription was to be renewed, I did not want to renew it as I am trying to save money. This app says it has a link to manage your account when you click on it, it goes to a page that no longer exist. I’ve spent hours trying to find a link to permanently cancel my account because every day I am getting emails saying that Newton is attempting to charge me to renew my subscription. I have sent at least 10 emails in the recent weeks, telling them to stop charging me that I no longer wanted to renew my subscription and to provide me someway to delete my account information to remove my credit card information, everything I could do, and asked for this to stop in for me not to continue using Newton for now until I can get finances in order because this is a very expensive app. I have been charged today, and it looks like they are attempting to charge me again in a few days and i have no way to stop them because they are ignoring my emails and not providing any way for me to manage my account. My next option is going to be personally legal action if they do not acted on immediately.

Five Stars all day!. I might have written one or two reviews - blah blah blah, but Newton is such an awesome email app, I couldn’t resist. I knew I was going to buy it based on the reviews, but still had to test it. With that, it was even better than I expected. From the simpleness of setting up various home and work accounts, to the easy to navigate and swipe features, and most of all. having all of my folders all integrated within Newton for seamless organization. The read receipts and send later are obviously great too. So glad I stumbled across Newton. Thank you!

Nice app but missing key features. Update 5: syncing problem and no longer shows me emails. This app is going downhill fast. You get one star from me until things see improved. There are better free options out there and will be going that route and getting a refund for providing a usable service Update 4: Can we get iOS 13 support and dark mode please Update 3: still my go to app very simple but yet elegant solution for email. Not seeing touch ID support even though it is listed as one of the new features Update: app is improving however lack of alias support keeps this at 4 stars. Overall a good app and has very consistent push capabilities. However, not being able to change email aliases is a standard feature you have promised to deliver in the past. Several updates later and we still don't have that basic functionality. Not being able to swipe through emails is another annoyance. We shouldn't have to go back to the inbox after deleting each mail. This app might serve the causal email user fine but for a business user it needs retooling. Team contacts is a nice addition although it's way overpriced IMO. I feel you should be working more on your core app before trying to to monetize on it.

My New Standard for Others to Live Up To. Newton got it right. At first, I thought it was just going to be another slide and file/copycat email app. But what I found was an intuitive, email workflow that was clearly more thought out. I needed something that would give me all the features of Gmail’s app, and my Cloze app that even they couldn’t give me in one cross-platform package. Newton does it all in a clean, minimal interface that keeps everything out of your way until you need it and is unlike any of the other apps I’ve used. I ended up subscribing because after the trial I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to live without it. That’s when you know the app is working for you. I look forward to continued development now that they have new owners. In the meantime I’m going to spread the Newton love.

Updated version. Just tried new version released a day ago. Bug, bug, bug. Adding a signature crashes the app. Unread email badge won’t update for long while and when it does finally it is inaccurate. Won’t let you select your default browser in IOS 14. I use Firefox and that is not an option which means they are not looking at the default browser. Dark mode nice but who cares if app doesn’t work right. Why is email so hard to get right. Apple doesn’t do well and Microsoft doesn’t do well. Seems if someone could do well they could have everyone using their app. My license expires at end of Oct. Will not buy again. I am disappointed to see an app that has so much potential go to waste. A shame.

I want to like it. I want to like it because there are some very handy features, especially on mobile devices. I don't like how it wants to force users to use it in certain ways, especially when I've been using email for some 25 years. I would also suggest that they offer monthly pricing at a somewhat higher rate in order to give people a chance to really work with it. A two-week trial is not enough time to put this through its paces. A small monthly subscription fee could give one a bit more time to see how things play out in one's workflow. Small iPad bug, maybe Newton, or maybe the mail server: Newton claims I have a new/unread message, but I don't.

Huge fail on set up. Keep trying to add several accounts and each time I add one it doesn’t show up in the email accounts tab nor in the inbox, when I try to add it again it says it’s already been added. This makes it impossible to set up, plus can’t set font size, font is so small you need a magnifying glass, that’s as far as I got before I deleted it. Shame I was one of the original users before they folded and I was excited to give them another try unfortunately now there are so many bugs it’s completely unusable. Apparently they haven’t updated the app in over 6 months this is a bad sign what’s going to happen when iOS 15 comes out, you can’t charge a premium for something that’s not updated regularly.

Long time user. Been with the app for a long time. Back when it was cloud magic. Pretty freakin seamless. I have a multitude of personal and business accounts across platforms and it’s all integrated very smoothly. It’s allowed me to keep consistency and order in an otherwise complicated situation. I also use Evernote and Wunderlist to keep track of almost everything. The ease at which I can archive, share, or add to a list quickly directly from inside the app has really streamlined my relationship with email. Quick delete or spam buttons from the notification has really allowed me to live inbox zero. I never write reviews but these guys deserve it. I give it five stars.

Wow! This is the BEST email client. One caution. This is only for serious business people who really value productivity! I’ve tried a lot of email applications. If you are looking for every possible feature and tweak, this is not the app for you. There are not hundreds of bells and whistles. However, the bells this app has are AMAZING. The “remind if not replied” is worth the subscription cost alone. I was paying 3x as much to a different plugin for the same functionality. I wasn’t in love with Newton when I first tried it out. It took a few days before I realized something was different when I checked my email. My whole attitude about email had changed. I’m not sure exactly what it is but I seem to be WAY more productive with email not. It’s not just that the app is beautiful, it’s also that it’s very functional and clean. Now I love to do email. I have many email accounts and Newton handled them all with ease. In addition, I only had to set them up once and they are on all my devices.

lacks beauty of Mac app. Newton for Mac is a beautiful, clean interface. The iPad version? Not so much. It is the phone interface with a reading pane on the right. 99% of iPad users are using it in landscape mode, so why can’t we get the beautiful Mac interface and instead get stuck with the phone interface? Aside from the interface, Newton is pretty good. There are a few changes I would like to see. First, even though you are using the “from name” from Google, you do not support changing that like every other email client. This is my one big gripe, because it means I cannot use certain email accounts in Newton. Second, I wish I knew it was more responsive talking to the server. I sent an email to myself as a test. The Gmail app showed it immediately. It took four minutes before Newton provided a notification. There seems to be constant server issues too, and the lack of regular updates, combined with the company’s history of running out of money/abandoning the product makes me wonder if they will fix these issues.

Great App. I recently switched back to Newton Mail after the company discontinued their service previously. I was reluctant to comeback cause I didn’t know if they would stick around. I’m glad I chose to come back cause I haven’t found any email client for either iPhone or Mac with a clean interface as nice as Newton. I see many negative reviews, but I can’t understand why. I’m a power user and never have any major issues that would interrupt my workflow. I decided to leave the review in hopes that users will give Newton a chance so they stick around much longer. I can honestly say Newton mail is by far the best mail app I’ve used and will continue to support them. Great job and I look forward to new features.

Just WOW. I really don't know where to start with Newton. There are so many good features with this email client that I can't list them all. Just the "read ✔️marks" and how it shows the location of the recipient. (the location is only correct 50% of the time) Just that is well worth the subscription price. I can be kind of cheap at times when it comes to subscriptions but I have no regrets with purchasing this client. Keep up the great work and I'm anxious to see what the future of Newton brings. Oh and one more thing. I NEVER write reviews either so that says a lot about how impressed I am.

Worth every penny!. Great app! Worth it! app is amazing! I love how customizable it is, yet not overwhelming. When I stopped using newton mail because I thought they were going out of business, I spent months trying to find the best email application that worked for all my devices. Hands down Newton mail is the best! I use multiple emails, and it keeps it tidy, and neat. I paid the subscription fee in a heart beat. It comes out to a little over $4 a month. That’s nothing compared to what you get. Plus their customer service is phenomenal. I had a question and they got back to me on the weekend! This is a must use!

5 months use, so buggy, but I wish!. Newton is the cleanest and visually smartest email app I’ve found (and I’ve tried them all over the year). But the bugs would be inexcusable in almost any other app. The number of times Search has not been able to find past emails. The number of times an email could not be read (just flickering on the screen or failing to load) because of images. The number of times attachments would not open. The very disturbing lack of sync between desktop and phone clients at times. Even emails that never showed in the inbox or spam (or zenbox when I tried that), but appeared unread when I searched them at a later point. I pressed on because I had paid $50 and because the app really is beautiful. But I find myself relying on Spark just to be confident I am seeing my customers emails. Sadly leaving Newton behind.

Excellent. Speedy simplicity.. I love this application and it’s well worth the $2 a month for the read receipt function alone. Love how messages are truncated, presented, swipe options. Love the speed. Love how clean it looks without ads. Love search function. Emails refresh quickly without draining my iPhone 6s battery. Love the support and company Modus Operandi! My Humble User Feedback Suggestions: 1 - Attachments. Right now you can only attach pictures and iCloud Drive docs when drafting an email within the app. Would be great to attach items from other apps (iBooks, Pinterest, etc) 2 - VIPs. Anyway to have a VIP function, similar to Mail? When I get an email from my boss, client, etc it’s in a special section, despite account. I link 4 email accounts on Nmail. 3 - Organizing. Haven’t figured out the simplest way to select a ton of different emails, and set up an auto filter for where they will go on receipt. I have to go to Gmail, iCloud or Exchange to set up rules which are then reflected in Nmail. Maybe there is a feature but it isn’t yet apparent. All in all, great work and loving it so far. Thanks to an apparent team of hard workers there!

Sad to have started being a user now that the App is going to be killed.. After years of trying to find an all-round app that is reliable and easy to organise throughout iOS/MacOS and Windows, it is with deep sadness that such a jewel of a service has to stop being offered to the public. I am sorry the long term business plan does not work out, because the product is really really really fantastic (clean, focused and with all the wizardry necessary). Or what it’s worth I shall be using it until the switch goes off. And then I’ll weep.

awesome buuuut…. i’ve been paying for newton for the past 2~ years, and have really valued its ability to present an uncluttered inbox, free of newsletters and promotions. however within the last 6 months or so, i’ve missed a lot of emails as it just stops syncing for days with my gmail account. before i was onto its tricks, i actually missed a shift at my job, the email for which having fallen through the cracks. i emailed support a couple of times and never heard back. now, ios 17 has made it literally unusable. it fully crashes when i try and open it on ipad or on my iphone. really hope they tend to these issues ASAP as i have had a hard time finding an app that sorts my inbox as well!

Still The Best (And worth every penny). You guys pretty much have the perfect email app. And I’ve tried them all. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would to have the option of have a small circular avatar next to each message in the inbox. Gmail and InBox by Gmail (and Yahoo to a lesser degree) do a nice job of this and it really helps with organization as you can your spot check your messages visually by sender. Like I said…the option would be nice. And if people want to maintain a cleaner more streamlined look WITHOUT the avatar, they could. Regardless…this app is worth every penny. $50 well spent.

Newton is still the BEST!!. So glad this app is back! 👏🏼 Even with not being updated much in the last year, this app is still hands down the best email app on the App Store! Ever since they announced the last shutdown, I’ve been cycling between most of the email apps on the App Store, but none of them handle email with the ease and simplicity of Newton! Newton has just the right balance of features (read receipts, customized actions, great syncing of preferences & read emails) while keeping a fast and minimal interface that allows you to sort through your email with speed. With the new owners stated intentions, I’m super excited to support this app’s development again! Looking forward to the upcoming updates! 😃

Used to be great. I wan excited when newton returned to App Store. However, since then there has been 1 tiny update, which didn’t even address the bugs I’ve been reporting for months. Their customer service seems to have really dropped significantly since they returned and I don’t get the sense they’re interested in continued development of the app. This is a shame because this app has some great features that I don’t mind paying for, like send later, read receipts, and tidy inbox. I’m looking for ways to justify renewing the subscription but I’m coming up short. If anyone running newton is reading this, I’d love to hear from you. I’d easily give this 5 stars if I saw more effort and attention being paid to the app. I hope the relaunch wasn’t a money grab by a new owner.

Great Mail App, Next best thing to Inbox. I, like many, mourned the passing of Google Inbox and found Newton in my grief. That was a year ago. I’ve used it for over a year now, and I’ve enjoyed it. I still miss Google Inbox from time to time but this is a very good replacement. The bundling is similar, not perfect, but does the job well. The fact that I can use a single login to sign in to a device with all of my accounts is incredibly convenient. The signatures and settings are seamlessly synced across all my devices. The $50 a year could be considered a bit much. And I could understand how a casual email user might think this is unreasonable. Spark or Airmail are similar but not the same and I don’t know how much I trust my data in their hands. I’m confident Newton does not do the same. It makes my life easier and for that I’d gladly pay $4 a month. I consider myself a power user and Newton is my favorite not-so-secret weapon. The app has changed hands twice and the most recent owners seem to be actual users of the app so I’m looking forward to the updates they have in store!

So close to 5 Star. There are a lot of really awesome features. My favorites: 1. Send emails later button 2. Remind me if email has not been replied to 3. Snooze button 4. Read receipts and read receipt notifications Things that prevent this-or any other email app I've ever used: 1. No option to add notes to a contact and/or a thread. I deal with hundreds of new contacts every day. Some are returning contacts. It would be SO helpful to be able to jot down some quick notes on the contact. 2. No option to customize notifications. I don't want my phone beeping with EVERY single email. If I could add a contact to a "notification list" that notifies me when only they email, that would be incredible. One other thing mentioning, some of my emails are being sent to the "DOPED" Folder. Can anyone explain to me what that is? Thank you! Overall, great app. A little pricey, but I wouldn't mind paying if the two above issues were addressed. 4 stars.

Outstanding simplicity. I believe I fall in the category “have tried them all”, or at least I can say I tried all of the recommend and high rated email apps. For me personally, Newton stands out for its overall simplicity, while offering all the functionality I want from an email app. The UI doesn’t get in your way, the app feels fast, performs well and offers the right amount of customization. Having versions of the same app on iOS, macOS and watchOS was one of the key selling features for me. No matter on what device I am, the experience translates well. Paying $ for a great app like Newton is a no-brainer: I use it every day and I much rather have the app improved over time than a free app that dies a slow death and I have to shop around for a replacement again.

I don’t know about you all but.... Asking for $2/month for a service that is not even well integrated? It must be a joke. When I track an email, I want to be able to refer back to a repository that contains all the read email. Simply relying on a notification to let you know an email was read is not what I thought this was about. How about more stats on the number of times an email was open? Nothing revolutionary, and even offered by other free email providers, none of which I will cite here. I would pay zero dollars for this app, because it backs you into a corner without being fully encompassing. You still have to rely on other providers and that’s not what a paying service should be about.

UPDATES! UPDATES! UPDATES!. I must be the biggest sucker on the planet. This app was a lifesaver for me when first brought to market. When it went to a subscription model, I was happy to pay. I don’t mind subscriptions because they ensure the product will be updated and maintained, and it was. Then it was shut down by Cloud Magic which was awful since I had really grown to depend on it. Thereafter, it was unexpectedly revived. I was thrilled and I happily paid my $50. And the app was almost immediately orphaned. No updates - no support. After a year of doing nothing but collecting subscription fees, in come new owners. Again, I shell out $50 on the promise of liberal updates. What did we get? Bug fixes - then, once again, silence from the developer. I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. Ok, rant over. I’m going back to the Gmail app until we see some real updates.

Getting better under new leadership. If you are new to Newton, be prepared for a unique take on email with features and ideas that I've not seen anywhere else. Simple, clean, robust, and willing to look outside the box. Like many of you who have had Newton, I've been on the rollercoaster of loving this software while being frustrated by the rocky path it took, closing down twice. Not only am I very pleased with the new leadership behing Newton, I'm thrilled with the next features they just dropped, particularly the email templates, but also creating sharing links and ways to track opens and clicks. These guys have been busy!

Feature Rich App. At first I was reluctant to sign up for a subscription based app, but after using Newton for a short while, I was hooked. Many emails I write require follow up, so knowing when an email has been read is very helpful. That feature alone made the app worth it. I also need to store emails I receive in an organized, uncluttered way. Newton's expandable and collapsible folders allow me to do that. One-click unsubscribe, send later and undo send have also become an indispensable part of my workflow. Using the Share Extension I can even turn emails into to-do items in my task manager app. And all this functionality comes wrapped in an esthetically pleasing and easy-to-interface.

Tried them all ....... What makes this the best is that it is simple yet powerful. I was using Airmail , which is a good app, but I felt overwhelmed by the all it’s options / features. I was also limited to Mac/IOS. Newton worked flawlessly for me over all of my platforms. Due to nature of my business, I have to utilize windows to remain mainstream at office, but i have all Apple products for home and mobile. Newton allows you to concentrate on what you want to do ( be productive ). You feel dialed in right away.... Is it worth 50$ a year to feel this way? Feeling in control is priceless! Then add the fact they respond quickly ( in minutes sometimes ) is a huge bonus....

Problems every year with renewal. I’ve been using this app for many years since they started, but customer service has gone from great when the guy that created it was involved, to non-existent to when he sold it. Each year when my app renews and I paid, I keep getting warning that my app is limited as subscription has expired. I log into their control panel and it shows that I’ve paid successfully, money has been taken from my account successfully, but still I get this warning. I’ve emailed support many times about it and provided proof of payment. No response to any of my emails. I’m hoping that me posting here will finally get a response and they’ll resolve this issue—until next year as this seems to happen each year.

Mostly works but development has been stagnated.. Used to really enjoy using Newton. Was quite excited when it came back. But it appears that development and maintenance has been minimum since then. Issues and bugs have been gradually accumulating. Syncing problems, read receipt not working, minor UI bugs that never got fixed, etc. Happy to support you guys but perhaps cutting development and support cost alone isn’t enough to keep things afloat in the long run. There is a market for premium email apps that “just works” with some power user feature. Maybe consider a similar business model like Superhuman? Whatever it is, I just hope that Newton isn’t on its way to a slow death. Good work so far(still) and looking forward.

Start introducing unnecessary and incremental features and fix what’s broken with the basic app. I have been a paid user of Newton for nearly 5 years. I so much like the interface better, at least until this last update. I have justified paying the subscription fee for quite a while but I think I’m about to quit Newton what’s my current subscription ends. Tech-support is dreadful. The latest version has many unnecessary gnu features and the text editor is much more clunky and cumbersome as compared to the past. Newton is not even working properly on this iPad as it has stopped updating my email. I really wish I had not updated to the latest version. The last version was stable with some predictable bugs that cloud Magic has long neglected.

Take advantage of forwarding to other apps. Many apps have the ability to create a reminder from emails or use the native or sometime more advanced star/list method to track activities. However this app allows you to crest trello cards, OneNote entries, Evernote records, or ToDoIst reminders allowing you more options for managing getting things done. The mail side does not suffer either, simple UI allows you to view all the common free and premium services and the a satisfactory quick menu to delete/move etc.

NO Customer Service. Non existent customer service, this is a great email app, but the iCloud email constantly crashes and the emails stop arriving, gmail works fine. Have attempted to contact them and had no response over a two month period, very disappointing 😡

The best mail app out. Hands down. Love it! I have multiple accounts and cloudmagic have easily the best mail app out. HTML signatures? Done. Accounts setup synced across devices? Done. Awesome flat interface? Done. Easy to search ? Done. Easy to filter unread emails? Done. Easy to access folders in your inbox? Done. Compatible with every mail standard? Done. Show me another app that does all that. So awesome!

Worth the price!. I want an iOS email app that integrates with my productivity tools, Todoist and OneNote. I've not found another app, free or paid, the does it as well as Newton. Newton also handles filing emails effortlessly, just type part of the folder name in the search and your done. Sounds trivial but such a time saver. The speed and reliability with Newton is great no more frustrating lag time I've had with other apps. Like many I deal with 100s of emails a day. Newton makes that easier. With so many of the free email apps I've had to compromise. Newton has everything I was after. Is it pricey? Maybe, but you pay for quality and it's a tax deduction anyway.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This company is now behaving fraudulently. CloudMagic do not respond to emails. The program stopped working for me properly over a year ago. I wrote to them several times but they never once responded to my emails. They have charged me for my $49USD subscription in August every year even though I have tried to unsubscribe. When I try to unsubscribe it tells me I don't even have subscription and yet they still keep emailing me telling me they're about to renew my subscription. I try to manage my subscription to stop it but it tells me I don’t have a subscription. Then a couple of days later they charge me again. It’s infuriating. When I receive these emails from them saying they're about to charge me, my new email client (Canary) tells me that their email address does not look right and that it's not the usual address that CloudMagic use. It's all very dodgy. Maybe CloudMagic have given my banking details to a third party? Who knows but right now I'm in a bad loop. I can't cancel and I can't stop the payments coming out and NO ONE responds. Apple needs to remove this app from their products.

Brilliant client - latest version hits 5 stars. I was looking for a way to handle my Gmail account on the iPad. On the phone I am very happy with Mailbox, but was not happy with the gmail app on the pad - I wanted something which looked good and allowed easy filing after using Mailbox to get to empty. Tried a few and then found this. What do I like? It looks great, a lovely clean interface, excellent font, easy gestures. What do I love? The message handling for picking multiple mails to file. My to file folder gets big and even on the desktop it is difficult to sort. Here there is a really well designed interface that highlights the messages, a big counter and an easy to select to folder option. Why not five stars? At the moment, due to storage restrictions, Cloudmagic can only give you access to the last month's email. As I often have follow up email older than that or need to look at much older ones this means that the gmail app will have to still be a significant part of my workflow. But when that is fixed (they are working on it) this will be 5 stars Update - the one month refers to the emails a month before you started using the app. So the database is growing and the 'archive' less a problem. 4.5 stars now! And now all old email. 5

Was a great app.. Was a great email app and the comeback was a pleasant surprise and came with a few improvements but development from there has been slow and very few updates. When updates have happened there have been no notes. The app seems to have fallen behind; is missing dark mode and has some other bugs, though still functional.

Finally…. I’ve found it. First of all congrats on keeping Newton alive. I have literally tried every email app on the market and Newton wins hands down for me. Love the newsletters & social split inbox function that allows me to focus on work; elegant, clean design; Things integration, read receipts, templates, snooze… I could go on. Just one thing devs… need to do something about replacing the xdotai integration please. Calendar needed for the Mac desktop version. Happy to pay and keep up the good work!

The Best Email App Available. I feel like I’ve tried them all - certainly most of the most popular ones. Newton is a clear winner for its simplicity, power, reliability, cross-platform and integration capabilities.

Poor first impression. When adding a new account, it says “not accepting new signups” and goes to a page to create a new Newton account. This is pretty annoying itself, but even when i try to do that and pick a user name, it repeatedly says “session expired”! Deleted.

Beautiful app. Works really well on IOS superbly, but a couple of discrepancies on the Mac OS.

Don’t waste your time or money. This product has so many issues and over the past 2 years myself and other people I know have emailed to try and sort the problems out they have no intention of doing so and rather waste your time or not reply at all. Even cancelling the service was a headache you can not get a response you cancel using the app and can’t log back in and they still take your money out .

Lots of promise. Fantastic clean email app with lots of Promise that does deliver BUT ....Issue for me is at the COST there are alternatives that have the majority of features included for a fraction of the price. (Or free) I’m also not impressed with having to create a newton account in order to use. I do like their privacy policy but I cant justify the current price. Good luck with the app decs. It’s a great app but beyond my tolerance for yearly sub.

Great concept/Idea. I was super excited to see newton re launch as I think the smart inbox is brilliant but what I see as basics for a paid email subscription are missing. The search is horrendous, ( I constantly have to revert back to a free email app to find emails) having no template option seems very primitive & I never see updates or upgrades to the functions. When I write for help the team are good at responding but never have an issue or solution. It’s a shame as I think this could be amazing with some work

No way after the latest update. Constant notifications telling me I have to upgrade to make it work without interruption.... $81 a year??? No chance. Goodbye to what was a great app.

Scam. I cancelled my subscription and they still sent an email saying there gonna charge me. I’ve emailed them twice no response

Could be a game changer...but not yet. Beautiful, simple, and, clean interface on Windows and the app. This is the first email client that actually felt different from the others in both look and feel on Windows that I like. But right now is too simple. On Windows can't create suborders in the client. Updating of email moves is way way to long a wait to see the folders actually updated so working with you're email in the client just gets time consuming. But they do have quick support response to tell you everything it can't do. 😁 For the money is not worth it...ye. I do wish it wasn't true. If they could just bring some simple features that virtually all email clients have had for years them I think they will do really well.

Newton is the answer. I have been using Newton for almost a year now. It is THE solution to cross device email. No more using one email client for desktop or laptop and something completely different for iOS. Newton integrates perfectly. There are single features within Newton which are seperate subscription services for other clients - I’m looking at you sanebox and boomerang. And Newton support is lightning fast and awesome...

Rock solid and fast, with some very nice features. Awesome onboarding, very fast to get going and some very nice features, know as super chargers. It just works out of the box. Obviously not as feature heavy as mature products like outlook but... so nice to work with across devices. I'm a google inbox user and the only thing I'm really missing is bundles. Fingers crossed Newton builds this in as it's a productivity game changer. Nice work, Newton. P.s. Pricing - I got it on a deal post trial expiration. The original asking price was too steep for me to justify given that I'm using Inbox. That's just a comparison with where I was at. The original asking price would have been nothing if it were getting me away from outlook and a hundred different plugins!

Probably the best mail app I've used on iPhone. CloudMagic is probably the best mail app I've ever used – it's pretty and it has a snappy interface. It seems to take a little while to open on my old iPhone 4 (about 6-10 seconds) but I blame that on my old phone. It can sometimes be slower with push notifications than my computer but that's what always happens. It's still probably the best mail app I've used.

1 Star out of 10. When I open the starred messages in all inboxes, I only get 1 out of 10 currently starred ones: the one I sent. Everything I starred in my inbox is also archived, which might be the reason it’s not appearing here. With “inbox zero” approach starring the messages AND keeping them in the inbox doesn’t make sense, so I believe that’s a bug that needs fixing. I left the exact same review on Mac App app since the bevahiour is the same.

Close but no cogar. I want to love Newton, it ticks all the boxes, rings all the bells. It’s a wonderful email client. But... The last update killed my desktop app, keeping it stuck in an unusable dark mode. And while Newton support extended my trial several times with the promise the fix was coming, several months on, no fix and the trial has well expired. 50 clams a year is a lot of cash for an email client, especially when the likes of Spark is free, but for Newton I’d pay it. But I can’t because it’s unusable and the support, while seemingly with the best of, and right intentions, are missing in action. If things pick up I’ll hop on the wagon, Newton’s great, brilliant even, but as it stands, paying for something that is not (well) supported is not my idea of a good spend.

Excellent email app for Office 365. I have an Office 365 account for university emails. Microsoft's own OWA app is just awful and simply unusable. This app supports Office 365 natively and works extremely well. My only gripe is lack of multiple email selection to move or delete but I hope it's added in the future. Everything looks a bit big on iPhone 6 Plus for now but when full support is added for that phone, I am seriously considering ditching default email app for this. One minor issue I got was constant reloading of a second Gmail account to display all emails. Instead of showing all emails at once like it does for 365 account, it would only show one recent email and load the rest from scratch every time. Maybe I'm missing a setting but it would be nice to have offline access to emails. Aside from these few minor things, this app really is a pleasant surprise and I look forward to updated version in the future.

Next generation email. Having more than 20 software subscriptions (free and mostly paid), I'm happy to see an app that links software and has thoughtfully made my life easier. No more copying a link then pasting across to browser then saving to Evernote. No more opening extra browser windows or apps to add tasks. This has saved me time and is lovely to use. Thanks!!

Better than mailbox. Just migrated from mailbox. Simple touches like the same swipe gesture to delete as apples mail app and the ability to add lots of different type of account as well as a powerful search make this one of the best mail apps for ios. Would like it to support more than 5 accounts, even if this means paying a small annual fee.

Good but missing features. I don't have a problem paying for quality apps. However, with such a heft price I expect to have features which are commonly available on free clients. The main critical missing feature is a focused inbox or VIP feature. Other clients like outlook and Apple mail have the ability to only notify you when important emails come in. Newton can not. It is either all or nothing for each account which is annoying. The second feature which would be nice would be to start emails with "Hi 'name'". With these 2 features I would be happy with my purchase, but without a focused inbox or VIP feature I kind of have buyers remorse. PS I have asked Newton when these features will be available and this was the response: "As of now, these features are not available. We'll consider providing it in the future." So I guess it's no even on their roadmap.

Worst customer support. I've been a Newton customer for nearly 7 years, holding a premium membership. Despite encountering technical issues and reaching out to their customer support multiple times, I haven’t received any response from their team. The only thing keeping me tied to Newton is its "Read receipts" feature, but I believe I can manage without it. I've decided to uninstall the app.

Issues with privacy. Very disappointed to find out about a privacy policy update of a few minutes ago - basically there’s no privacy in newton anymore

Even better on iPhone X. I’m pleased to say that Newton is the best email experience on iPhone, iPad and Mac. This is more than just a client; going above and beyond to provide read receipts, a clean and concise inbox, off-phone sync and seamless integration. The UI update for iPhone X makes this app perfect on the X display.

Fantastic!. Best option beside Acompli (Outlook), and significantly better-looking. These two are the only real options for full cloud file integration (Dropbox, GDrive, etc.). Although I miss the Focused inbox of Outlook, I prefer the clean UI of Cloudmagic, and the much more reliable and obvious attachments interface. Outlook seems to randomly place a text-link often mid-sentence; Cloudmagic shows attachments properly and colour-coded by file type. Overall, the best email app I have found. Only criticism: there's no Mac/PC app!

Simply superb. Use it!. This mail client app has already proven itself to be irreplaceable. It not only let's you do everything you'd want to do (across ALL your various email accounts, irrespective of the platform!) but also does it with style and a touch of class. Highly intuitive, it really does add a little magic to the modern torture ritual that email has become.

Disappointing. As part of quite a large company we have all found the app to be VERY buggy. All of us have experienced the app closing AND our devices rebooting !!!! almost every time you try to open any sort of attachment. Badge count almost never shows correctly, sent messages although sent just "disappear" after sending and show nowhere in the app. Also no landscape view making it often useless in an office environment. Unfortunately too many problems ( all reported to developers some time back) but nothing seems to be done to address these. Moving onto something more professional and reliable.

They make you PAY and uses your data for ads and sell them to 3rd parties !!!. I signed up for the free trial with the intention to purchase it after 14 days. App works fine , quite happy with it. Then I read the PRIVACY POLICY , to summarise it , they make you PAY and uses your data for ads and sell them to 3rd parties !!! READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE BUYING !!!

It works!!!. 4/9/17 took a punt & tried it again. Was over the moon to find not only could it connect to my activesync server exchange account, but that the share extension works a treat. My emails can now be tasks and shared to notability, Dropbox etc. great work newton mail. 5 stars

Customer support is horrendous. I got the premium version through setapp but the mobile app doesn't recognise that neither does the mac app confirm I have the full subscription. Reached out to the CS team via Twitter but they took 3 days to respond and 2 days later the issue is still not resolved. I don't know how the mobile app works but the mac app does work pretty okay. Can't really comment on it. The only reason I'm leaving this review is so that people can be wary of these issues before they commit their money of this app.

Pretty good. I’m still trying the free version and deciding if I will sign up. I like the fact I can turn off conversation view (which most other apps won’t let you do). I’d like a function to be able to pin important messages to the top of the screen like you can do with Spark. Otherwise works well. Integrates with Evernote and Todoist.

Great for business. If you have several devices and want to keep them in sync and quickly, this is the best out there by far. Tried the free app for a while, was very irritated about the lack of info changing to Newton from previous version, but eventually paid for the full version. The paid for features are probably not worth the added cost, but they are useful, and I would pay that for the speed, ease, and in sync capabilities of the main app. If I could create folders from the app rather than the email account, that would be brilliant!

Support requests go unanswered. I’ve been a long time Newton user and I’m sad to say goodbye. 3 report requests have been unanswered. Fantastic software when it works, such a shame.

Lightning-fast search and a great interface. I’m very impressed with this app. The killer feature is lightning-fast search. I can search my emails on my iPhone faster than on my Mac (using Sparrow or Outlook). But as well as the great searching, the interface is very clean and easy to use, and push notifications work very well (faster than the default Mail app, for both gmail and office365 accounts). This is now my default mail app.

Not as expected. Requires you to login. Shouldn’t have to create an account to access your email accounts. Going back to outlook because they know how to make apps properly

Beautifully Clean & Great Customer Service. CloudMagic is a pleasure to use. I have all my separate iMap email accounts from my websites in here, all colour-coded. It's very clean, uncluttered, and with beautiful colour options for various email accounts. It's breathable! And keeps improving with more features. I've also found consistently great and prompt customer service. Everything is easy! Highly recommended!

Subscription only. Can’t even use for free!!

Best app for gmail, but.... It could do with more features. It is lacking a notifications timer, and it should show new messages in threads at the top, not the bottom, for example. Also, it lacks the ability to change the 'from' address which you can do in the native mail app. All around it's the best solution to the Gmail push problem yet.

$50 for this?. Outright refusing to work on my iPhone after a restore, not showing my gmail account, and when I go to add it, saying it is already added. Will be requesting a refund.

Not accepting new sign up. Tried to use the app but cant even logon, it says not accepting new sign up, this app should be deleted from AppStore.. what a time waster

Unstable. When it works it’s great. I really appreciate being able to snooze e-mails to the desktop so I can read them on a larger screen. Unfortunately it crashes regularly on iOS. Zenbox is unusable for me and I’ve had to disable it so ordinary e-mail works. It also still has my main bugbear about most e-mail apps - sorting e-mails newest first. Why would you want to read the latest e-mail first when you haven’t read the previous one?

Vanishing emails. Update: 2 very annoying things with this app: 1: if you are writing an email and leave the app ( to get a link or contact name etc) - there won't be any trace of it when you return - the emails vanish completely - needs an auto save draft function or similar. I lost a very lengthy and detailed email recently - not good. 2: I have started to have emails appear to send but then there is no trace of them in my sent folder - again, vanishing emails. NB: I am using the app with a work-based Microsoft Exchange account. Don't know if it is glitches with Exchange only but I am deleting the app, can't afford to not know for certain that important emails are going to vanish forever. Have been using this for about a month and it is a solid app for combining a few different accounts. For me, it's all about the UI, and I really like what they have done with this app. My only gripe is that sometimes an email comes through with tiny text and this app doesn't allow for a quick zoom (or any that I can see) and then I have to open the email in a different app just so I can read it. If this could be fixed, I would give it 5 stars but it is very annoying as it stands.

Waste of time and money. After being a paid user for 2 years, it's useless. Don't bother with it. They don't care about function or customers. I had to stop using it 8 months before my subscription runs out. Shame on you Newtown.

Finally.. The email app dreams are made of.

Great update in July. Really love the most recent update and the minimalistic approach. Very clean and organized. The superchargers are also quite helpful. I'd give it 5 stars but I need the calendar add on to manage iCloud and local calendars first. Newton is my go to email app.

Love hate relationship :/. Newton seems to go through good/bad phases. Currently it’s great! Syncs well, search is quick and app is snappy. Really want: PREVIEW ATTACHMENT feature. I’d like to be able to preview the attachment before sending especially on iOS as a lot of the time iOS doesn’t let you preview the files when attaching through the share extension.

Best mail app available BUT. The privacy policy is invasive. Be careful who you trust with you emails.

I love this app.. It’s the nicest looking of all email clients, has great features like snooze and send later, integrates with a bunch of apps, and I’m just plain more productive with it. Email is too important for me and my job and home life to not use the best one. I’d pay twice this much.

Too many information collected. What rules the world today’s? Fuel or data?... Data! This application does this pretty well.

Overall Excellent with room for Improvement. Awesome minimalist cross-platform email client with great features. Would like to see more special features added though and hope the dev team keeps innovating.

Buggy. Terrible. Bugs e-mail not loading, Not appearing in the inbox. Missed important one for 3 days bc of it. Only after I did a search with the email address that it appeared. Stay away from this app, the developers don’t seem to care for it anymore.

I’m back. I was a very early adopter of this app when it was Cloud Magic. I left shortly after the the $50 fee was introduced. It wasn’t because I thought the app wasn’t worth it. It was due to the horrible customer service of the original owner/staff. I couldn’t justify the fee because of it. The bottom line is that this is the best email map on the market. I’ve tried them all. Clean, reliable, true cross platform. I came back and placed a $50 gamble on the new owners. Fingers crossed. And if the owners a reading these reviews, please keep up the good work of the last update. Cheers.

It’s a Trial app. Trial app..

Extremely bad. Used to be good once in a while. You get errors and bugs that do not allow you to login in to your own account. Despite various efforts to fix it. Still unfixed. Lost all my money for 9 months of subscription. Do not recommend

Your customers are not a game 😡. I have been an advocate for newton mail as it was ahead of its time providing amazing features, then couple years ago, the company discontinued the service... Then last year they announced that serviced so i hopped back in and bought another subscription to be surprised again that they are shutting down... While newton are working on getting acquired and to launch the service again, i will never go back!

Was good. I really enjoyed the app when I first found it, but its gone downhill. I haven't paid the subscription for the extra features and I am not going to. I understand that people need to make money but $70 a year is a bit much, especially when there are a lot of bugs(like my emails recently only open to what I had sent and not the actual reply). You can't really do anything without being interrupted by the subscription pop-up, gets really annoying. Emails also have been taking a very long time to appear and some messages don't show up for a day. Like I said, I did enjoy the app at first but too many features have been locked away and performance has taken a big hit.

Over priced and waste of time. Just stay away from this money grab. There are plenty of alternatives that are 100 times better!.

Payment. Not paying for any app

It’s back!!. Newton is by far and away the best mail app for any high volume user. Never leave us again I was lost without you. Nothing compared.

A foolish security risk. This will not work unless you sign up for an account with Newton. Having anyone needlessly know your account information is a foolish security risk, no matter what the company promises.

So happy it’s back! Worth the price.. The only app I would pay for. You really really made my day when I figured out you were back! Thank you!

Love it but very slow on any device. I really want to use Newton every day, but it’s crippled by slow speed. I’ve tried it on my wife’s MacBook, my iPhone, my Win10 machine, and my Note 10 and it is universally slow. If you don’t care about this then it is amazing. But for me, it’s mostly unusable

Need Dark Mode support!!. Please darkmode

Email read receipts is harmful spyware. This is the same “feature” Superhuman was dinged for earlier in 2019. It should not be a thing, and I will not use any app that includes it.

Mooner. Gmail just stop working so I downloaded yours and it works fine don’t understand what the other people are complaining about

Pretty, but dangerous failures and missing crucial abilities. After about a week, it began crashing frequently (30+ times a day) on my phone and computer. Sent mails sometimes appear to have sent, but aren't in sent folders or outbox or drafts and recipients never receive them. Search is quite poor and seems to only pull from relatively recent mail. The font size can't be adjusted on the computer, so if your vision isn't perfect it can be hard to read. It's slick and clean and has a great workflow that helps me get thru emails fast, but the lack of stability, the silent send failures, the poor search, and lack of accessibility make me really regret paying for this software and taking the time to switch to it.

Best iOS email app.... Was the best, still the best. Love what you do and can’t wait to see Newton evolve!

Email client no longer working properly. Ever since their integration of zen box, this email client no longer functions properly. I tried sending an email to give them a heads up and opportunity to fix the problem, but have had no reply. I have been a client for a few years, up until now, loved the service, but this new bug of not getting my emails, especially considering the heavy price tag of $50 USD per year, is a deal breaker. I highly recommend NOT to subscribe.

Subscription expires, can’t renew. Terrific program but when my subscription expired last week, I tried to renew it. Keep getting error codes and won’t renew. No response from this tech and nothing wrong with my Apple account.

Not ready for use. This tool is great in theory, but it doesn’t support dictation, it crashes on my iPhone and archived emails cannot be searched or found. For $100 per year, this is unacceptable.

Excellent email app with responsive support. With very

Shutting down again!!. The problem is some people are not made for business go work for those who know how to manage you guys. I expect the full refund as you guys just renewed my account 2 weeks ago!

A welcome return. Newton has been my fave email client because of its read receipts. I was saddened when the service closed, but ecstatic to have it back. Some small outbox issues need to be ironed out, and when they are, this will get the full 5 stars it deserves

Very Pleased. I was very tired and frustrated with Apple Mail so tried out Newton. It works seamlessly across all my devices and easily integrated all my emails. I recommen.

Intelligent UX, brillant postpone features, the best mail app out there. Regularly improved. I just don't find it any equivalent. The desktop still needs some love though.

Wont work. Opens to expired session. Impossible even to try it...

Best news ever. Life changed. Newton, without you I’ve been lost, wandering in the dark. Thank you to those who believe. Best email app. Ever. Period.

Good, but not great. The app works really well most of the time, but still hasn’t address bugs related to dictation or swipe typing. It also crashes at random times.

My favourite productivity app period.. I absolutely love Newton! It has every feature I look for in an email app. Including immediate push of my non apple emails. It’s totally worth the price as I understand development costs money and I appreciate that they don’t data mine and pretend it’s a free app.

Never any update. Since the day this app was re released. We have had 1 update. Service is rude when I reached out to them. Hint. iOS 13 is here. Try to keep up.

Covert trialware. Conveniently concealed fact you discover after installing the app is that you are about to start “free trial” of whatever awesomeness they offered. No thanks. Take care.

Save your money. Tried this app for the 14 day trial and found it great. Signed up, paid my money and from there it went downhill. I keep getting coloured bars in my inbox. Contacted customer service, they suggested logging out and back in. (That response took a couple of days) That worked for a few hours and the issue came back. Have been trying to reach someone for the past few days with ZERO RESPONSE. Save your money. This app is a SCAM.

Best Email Service Provider. A simple, convenient and user-friendly service that employs an elegant design which never fails at delivering a stellar performance.

No Sync Without Subscription!?. Are you kidding me? You surely can't be that money hungry that you can't even offer basic features to users unable to afford the ridiculous subscription fees. Why not keep those users around instead of shoving then away to alternate apps? Update: And you're shutting down? Karma at it's finest.

Company dead?. No updates on almost a year. Subscription doesn’t even work. Support seems to be non-existent. Why not just take the app down at this point?

First “new” feature since the acquisition. Finally a dark mode. Hopefully we’re going to finally get updates like email templates that have been “in development” for over a year. I’m about a few weeks away from giving up on Newton again as the new company isn’t doing it any favours.

Buggy, subscribed but no premium functions, help forum down?. Tearing my hair out. I renewed last week, but I’m still getting the annoying “pls renew” boxes every time I do something, and of course no premium functions. I have even tried deleting and reinstalling, and subscribing again, but I get a message saying that I am already subscribed. So maybe I could get my $70 back, please?

Won’t properly load mail; freezes iOS devices; support can’t solve the issue. The app worked well for a week - long enough to subscribe - but since it’s behind on my inbox (compared to gmail or other apps). It freezes my phone often when sending, requiring me to wait 1-2 minutes until the email sends it a hard reboot of my phone. Newton support was no help in solving the issues. I can’t get a refund. A complete waste of money.

Gone, then back, then barely active. This is a really well designed app, but for the subscription you pay you receive barely any action in terms of updates or improvements. Since iOS 13 was released, Newton is very buggy. Typing doesn’t work properly, the audio-to-text feature is broken, and the app crashes in the middle of writing emails.

Stopped working with iOS 17. The app worked well until I upgraded. I see it hasn’t been updated since March.

Like this email platform.. I like this email platform from it simple and very easy to use loves the fact that we could have the read notification tracking thanks good job on the well run email platform

Best app and it’s shutting down.. Best app and it’s shutting down. So disappointed. Never had a mail app worked so good. RIP

COMPANY IS SHUTTING DOWN. Remove the app from the App Store !!!

Bad Business Model - $50 a year to check my email?!. The revival of Newton will be short lived. $50 a year to check my email?! speaks for itself. I give this company less than a year, to crash and burn - AGAIN!

No updates to broken app. The app hasn’t been updated in over 6 months. The search is broken and crashes the app, the Lock Screen notifications don’t work, and there are a lot of other issues. They don’t respond to support 90% of the time and if you do happen to get a response it’s that they’re working on it, but 6 months is not acceptable for an app you have to pay a subscription for. Update: there is no way to cancel your membership since it’s done through their site. They don’t respond to email so I ended up having to report them to my credit card company for fraud. Buyer beware.

Non-existent support. This app was hands-down the best until recently. My work changed email protocols and as a result, Newton stopped working. Three emails over three months ignored. Twitter direct message ignored. Public plea sent out in the open on Twitter ignored. When it works, this app has the best interface and workflow! When it doesn’t, you are left out to dry. Bye, Newton. I’ll miss you. It was fun while it lasted. Sorry I had to waste $50 to learn this lesson. Hoping you’ll come to your senses and wake up to the masses of people that would like to be your customers. Until then, one star…and off to another inferior app.

Good email app/Good customer service experience. I’ve tried many email apps. Newton by Cloudmagic is easy to use and has all of the functionality I want and need. Most importantly, the customer service is first-rate. My questions are answered quickly and any issued are resolved. I don’t understand the pushback by others on the price. A good, functional email app is a bargain at any reasonable price. Kudos to the Cloudmagic/Newton team.

Yes, it's expensive, but.... The cost is worth it - especially for folks who have to deal with a lot of emails for work. Even small gains in efficiency can free up a ton of time. It's worth the cost. I also like to know that the app has a I business model that will allow it to continue existing unlike many of the other boom/bust email management apps out there that are either looking for a quick exit or stop getting updates.

A wonderful, wildly expensive app.. I love the app itself no real complaints on functionality other than not telling me how many emails are stacked in a thread. Price is the real killer. I understand why SaaS is required; a perpetual license simply won’t work anymore if you want a company to keep up with their product. But there are multiple other options that are still a perpetual license and offer 90% of the functionality Newton does. I don’t care Newton is SaaS, I’ll pay an annual fee, but when your annual fee is 3x+ higher than the competitors one time fee it’s a bit unreasonable. It’s unfortunate really because it is a great app and I love using it but the pricing is so absurd it’s almost insulting to users.

Good but…. It’s an overall good email application. I like the red receipts and the undo send, and have used the send later feature a few times. But heaven help you if things stop working. Haven’t been able to log in in a month or more. Multiple smalls to customer service have gone unanswered. What good is a product you can’t get any support on even if you’re paying for that product (to work)?? Never again Cloud Magic…

Solid Replacement for Inbox. The app is stable, the design is clean, and although the workflow is different, the newsletter and social media email filters catch just about everything inboxes bundles caught - making this the best replacement for inbox of the lot. Also the read receipts and signature feature (you can use a different signature for the second + email in a chain) are killer. Features I’d love to see (all from inbox... rip) 1. Bundle travel emails together with flight information. 2. Allow me to accept or decline calendar invites without opening the email that attached them. 3. Group emails by day/week/month so I have some context for time. Thanks for making a solid email client, - Mark

I cannot live without this app!. Firstly, email is a very great way to communicate. Anyone telling you that email is dead is either lying or doesn’t know how to use email properly. Newton doesn’t try to ‘reinvent’ email, you can do email the way you want. It only adds features to make email more powerful. It’s essential if you have multiple email accounts as I do.

Not great with Office365. I’m a consultant so I use multiple email systems. This app works great with Google and Yahoo but it does a pretty poor job with office 365 email on my phone. I’ve been using Office 365 Outlook and I can delete an email on my computer and it won’t delete on my phone sometimes at all. I can also get emails on my computer and I will go to the app on my phone and it will not update and get those emails. I talked to Support several times and it seems as though there is an issue with sinking with Office 365. Given how pervasive Office 365 is, that’s a big deal.

Unparalleled design, informative read notifications, simply perfect. Fell instantly in love with Newton upon downloading nearly 2 years ago. It’s a light email app yet power packed with info and incredibly easy to set up across multiple devices. Should also note that I’ve personally never had any update bugs either! The annual subscription has been more than worth it for my employees and I since day one. Update: Since this app re-released it has been great with a few changes that aren’t a huge dealbreaker.

Now with updates!. I’m happy to see Newton getting more consistent app updates. Unfortunately the search function is weak, abysmal, incomplete. If I actually want to find an e-mail I know exists I have to go back to apple mail or airmail - both have superior search functionality. I still use newton as my primary email app for other features those apps don’t have but search needs some major attention.

Nice, needs a couple things. I’m delighted with the send later and read receipts features, as well as the simplicity of the interface. However, would like to see more robust search capability, without having to select a particular mailbox. Would also like to see easier access to the “Low Priority” folders for all mailboxes at once, as many important emails inadvertently find their way there. Overall great product that I gladly just spent $39 on.

Waste of my $50 & a lot of my time. Have exchanged several emails with developer who can not determine why their $50/year app cannot connect to my employers’ exchange email server when 3 other ‘free’ apps (Edison mail, myMail, & Outlook can). I had used this product since it was Cloud Magic to access this same email account for several years. After their update a few months before they stopped supporting their app, it stopped working with my employers’ email account. Due to their previous track record I thought they would have, or be able to, fix this problem that other mail apps don’t have. Not the case. And Apple’s automated interface will not allow a refund. So ... User Beware.

Best email app BY FAR. I’ve tried everything. I even tried paying $30 a month for SuperHuman for a while. I am so glad to see Newton back. It is easily the best email app for iPhone, Mac, and Windows I’ve ever used. Love it! Love it! Love it! I am in IT and a consultant so I get a ton of apps (thousands by now) to try out. Nothing else for email comes close. I also don’t leave a lot of reviews so this is definitely an exception for me.

Decent app, INSANE cost. This app has a nice, simplified layout that allows you to access what you need quickly and efficiently. My only real issue with the app itself is this new recap function. The intention is good- resurface emails you may need to potentially follow up so they don’t fall through the cracks- but in my experience, all it does is create more work in order to process the notifications. None of the messages it has flagged actually needed actioning. The real problem with Newton is the cost... $10 a month or $100 a year!! That is objectively insane- any other mail app on the market is literally a fraction of that, if not free. It’s as if someone tried to compete with Toyota by building a competitor that looks a little like a Camry and has most of the features, with maybe a slightly better navigation system, and the company tries to charge 20k more. Needless to say, I won’t be going beyond the trial period.

What?!?! Y’all are back?!?! Thank god!. You’ve been missed by my husband and I... I swear my emails are out of control and lacking and I’m so happy to be able to go back to your app now!!! Can not wait to tell my husband (we also are business partners)... I think this will make his day.... ps this is the only review I’ve ever left in the last decade or so of having an iPhone...

Business on the go. I have been using Newton since it was Cloud Magic. I use Newton for all my business e-mail accounts. It keeps everything simplistic and organized. It allows me to know when my e-mails have been read by the recipient, retract e-mail mistakes, and keep track of e-mail threads. I gladly pay the fee. One less hassle in my business life.

Lacking Support. This used to be my favorite email client and I’d happily recommend it to friends. Unfortunately the app has started to show its age with features lagging behind the competition and issues with syncing and search. I’d give all this a pass if I knew the developers were actively working on the project but unfortunately the app hasn’t received an update in months and they’re not responding to emails.

Exactly What I was Looking For. I really enjoy this app. I have used many email apps and have never been fully satisfied with the experience. That ended when I discovered Newton. I love that my one subscription works for my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I don’t have to buy three separate apps. I really love the fact that I can schedule emails and that I can get read receipts. I would definitely recommend this app.

Used to be great. I’ve been using newton for few years now. I’m sad to say that they’ve progressively gotten bad especially their support. My account that I’ve used for years was locked because they decided to enforce 2factor and I ended up resetting few times didn’t work. Then I subscribed with another account that didn’t work and did it once again using my apple account that seems to have worked but basically I’m paying 3 times subscription to make it work and when I pinged support about it it’s been weeks with no reply. After my term is over I won’t be renewing it

Fairly Good, Missing some features to be perfect.. Overall, it is great - and you can’t beat read receipts which is something I haven’t seen on mobile. However, my work requires me to use many emails and some of them are filled with junk. The ability to turn off badge notifications for certain email accounts would be great. As would the ability to change text size. On the Windows app, the email view could have a better user experience when searching or to get back to the main inbox.

Stay away.. It has now been almost a year since I subscribed to Newton. It is an app that goes to show how broken the App Store review process is. This app has not been updated in the past year. I believe the update that was pushed out was probably a fake, and it didn’t fix any of the issues I was having in the app. I very much liked the app when I first downloaded it, and was willing to wait for updates. However none came, and the developer argued with me that I wasn’t having a problem I was having. This is nothing more than a scam now. Stay away on all platforms. They will take your money and offer nothing in return.

App is going downhill. This used to be my favorite email app. Within the past month (current date is March 7, 2023) this app has been completely unreliable and I’ve removed it from my screen. It deletes drafts you’ve made, it doesn’t sync in timely manner anymore. Putting my trust in this app a few weekends ago made me late for a meeting being that emails never arrived until after the meeting time. Just an unreliable email platform as of now. Don’t waste your time with this. The frustration of deleted emails will drive you crazy. DO NOT USE THIS APP. You’ve been warned.

Good but ended up cancelling. I liked this app a lot more than others, but ultimately went back to gmail. The search feature doesn’t find emails randomly, emails are sometimes removed from conversations, and the overall experience ( while good at first) starts to seem very buggy. Nice work and I hope these features get improved down the line

Fabulous Customer Service. I was a Newton user before it became Newton. I was skeptical when it became subscription only, but couldn't be happier. The functionality and interface with other apps is the best. And the customer service (though rarely needed) is extremely fast, efficient, and responsive. Highly recommend.

Sometimes very buggy with sync.. Sometimes very buggy with sync especially on exchange/365. Some emails come back when they’ve been snoozed or archived, or sometimes just disappear. I’ve contacted support multiple times and they either try to give an explanation that doesn’t work (or try to blame it on user actions, but it should just not happen) or they answer that they’ll come back to me with a solution but never do. Needs some clear improvement in the back end, especially for that price.

It was great, but support/updates are lacking. The pieces are all in place for this app to be incredible. I paid $50 and it was totally worth it. But 8 months later, there are no updates and annoying bugs. I can’t use arrow keys on my iPad external keyboard, the app crashes often, the calendar responses don’t update, etc. I’ve contacted support several times, and each time they reply “we are aware of this issue.” Not sure what to do now. I’ve paid $50 for a half-functional app, with the hope that it will be updated, but the more time passes the more I doubt it.

Love the simplicity. I subscribed to the app because I use email everyday for business and want to have the fewest distractions. I see it as investment in something like a car. I need to be thinking the clearest when I respond to emails so why deal with the unnecessary distractions of a lesser designed app? I would have given 5 stars if for all the amazing add-ons, they would have included an email filtering system and a more customizable badge count for different email accounts.

Constant intrusive pop up in free version makes this unusable. [updated review] - my original review was five stars but this latest app update is terrible for non subscribers! I had not purchased yet due to budgetary constraints but was thinking about it regularly. However, the latest update pushes a pop-up at me every second so unless this is changed I will be deleting this app for good. It's too bad. I'm a light user who doesn't use it on desktop or need super chargers but I've appreciated the design and font. You've now made the free version completely unfriendly instead of it being a nice advertisement for your good work.

More of a "feedback" review than a complaint. I’ve been using Newton email for about 2 weeks and I don’t understand why someone would pay a monthly fee for it. Yeah the timed email sending feature is neat coupled with a few little other features the stock mail app doesn’t provide but the apps performance is worse than a free emailing app. I’ve experienced crashing just by it trying to open an email, glitching while the email is open, I’ll switch between apps and the email I was just looking at before will close back like it’s just noticing I switched apps.

Once loved but now.... Let’s just say that I used to swear by the Newton app, after the shut down it took me so long to find an email provider... when I saw that I could have it all back, I was grateful! Now within 2months, I have had so many crashes while typing emails on my phone! The last email I typed was so important, organized with bullet points and timelines concerning the conversation... before I could type “kind rega..,” the app crashed and left no trace of this email that took me a good 15minutes to type... It left me furious and frustrated. Please please fix it, or I will have to say good bye for good this time...:(

Fraudulent Mail App: BEWARE. This was my favorite mail app for years. I was paying for two accounts, one for personal and one for work. The account I had for work wasn’t working, it couldn’t load my emails due to security from my company. I logged into my account and couldn’t cancel my subscription, so I removed my credit card instead. I just received an auto renew for $50, even though there’s no way to cancel the subscription, and removing my card from the account did nothing. No responses to my emails or phone calls, finally disputing the charge with my CC company.

I wanted Newton come back and it did it!. Well, when I heard that this app will be shut down I was so disappointed and frustrated! This app is so convenient and I don’t see any alternatives. I told myself that I will continue to use it until they delete me but it did not happen and it was bought by another company which continues to develop it further. Thank you guys for support Newton app! I bought subscription today and promise to do it every year!

So far so good.. First day, added accounts all went smoothly. Had a question, customer service very, very quickly. It shows that the developers working very hard. Don’t paying 50/yr for good customer service and a simple, well working app. Will update as time goes by. UPDATE: After several months of use, no problems at all. It’s so easy to use. I just open Newton, look to the left and see my 4 email addresses and check which one has mail waiting. What I especially like is that I can go into each account from Newton and check each folder (sent, spam, deleted, etc.) and do what needs to be done (ie, delete spam, delete trash, etc.) I plan on staying with Newton. At the current price (I think $50/yr) it’s well worth it for the convenience, ease of use and peace of mind. The customer service is very quick and great. Richard

Excellent productivity tool. I have multiple work and personal email addresses, each set up to serve a specific purpose. Before using Newton I’d routinely miss an email or lose track of an action item. Now, taking advantage of API integrations into Evernote and Todoist, my workflow has me always inbox zero, with my follow ups and to dos setup for completion. The development team is also very responsive to suggestions or bugs. Well worth the money for a great tool

Pricey but worth it!. I’ve tried a LOT of email clients, looking for an option that balanced usability and aesthetics with key functionality, and Newton is it. Newton connects to both Todoist and Evernote (my productivity suite) with native connections that allow me to add tags, set folders, change due dates, etc., which means that I can touch the email once and then get it where it needs to go. Newton is a great productivity enhancer and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an integrated, well-layer out email client.

Nothing special, routinely miss important emails. The UI is nice but honestly, nothing all that special. On top of the fact the app isn’t actually a standout, the search functionality is so bad as to be basically unusable. But here is the worst part of it all: I have missed tons of important emails bc the push notifications fail to appear on my phone or my desktop app. Connections to accounts (like gmail and office365) constantly pause syncing until I refresh the inbox manually. Overall, I cannot recommend enough that you avoid this app, especially bc it costs so darn much.

Best mobile email app. The Swiss Army knife of email apps. Combine all your emails into one inbox. Review them separately. Send an email at a designated time. Receive notification if you fail to get a response. Automatic read receipts. Goodbye Inbox, hello email threads, which combine the sent folder and Inbox. Mild gripes: would be nice to have capability of larger text for Inbox previews and ability to send from other certified email addresses, as Google mail does.

Simple, intuitive, fun. I love the simplicity of the interface, and the intuitive flow of the tool. I don't have to second-guess how to use it's many different functions. I'm always right on the first try. It has honestly made me look forward to checking my email and made me feel much more in control of my inbox…. and my life.

Best email app ever. This is by far the best email app I’ve used to date. I’ve tried them all (Spark, Polymail, Outlook, Astro, etc). None of them come even close to the speed and UX of the Newton email app. The new Recap feature is a must have (that I didn’t even know I needed). Can’t wait till they get Things integration! My workflow will be complete then!

Great App with even better customer service. I downloaded the Trial Version of the app and purchased it within a day. I had a few questions about the app before my purchase, and my e-mails were answered extremely fast. Newton is much better than any other e-mail app and meets all my needs. Thanks Newton and keep up the great work.

UI suggestions. Love the features, would be a subscriber if the following UX issues could be addressed! Would be great if you made the header at the top (with search bar) scroll away and re-appear when you scroll back up. Plenty of apps do this, take a look at Google Inbox for a good example. It currently takes up too much space. Also really needs 3D Touch for previewing emails and quickly performing actions on that preview. See Apple Mail and Spark for good examples of this.

Buggy, No Support. I have been a paid subscriber for just under a year. I will not be renewing and have switched my mail app as Newton had some rather annoying bugs that have not been addressed for months now. One of them is messages simply disappear when you try to read them. Another bug is that mail will show on my home screen widget, but will not show up within the app for several hours. I didn’t mind paying the $50 a year for the app when it worked well. It was a very good mail app for awhile.

New iPhone version now crashes constantly. I’ve been a long-time user of Newton and I’m thrilled someone rescued this app from the dustbin of history—twice. Truly, I am deeply grateful and willing to wait for new functionality to roll out. Prior last week’s version update, I would have rated Newton 4 stars. The notifications I receive when my emails are read are fabulous and worth the high price of the app. Unfortunately, now when I search for or open an email, Newton crashes and my screen goes black. Please fix this pronto. Until you do, I’m glad I’m running Spark in parallel so I can at least read, respond to and create emails until Newton’s basic functionality is restored. ~ a loyal patient yet frustrated Newton fan

Good but not updated for new iOS versions. Newton is a very powerful app but there is a fee for those features. The worst part is the lack of updates in the past year or so that make it seem like it’s not worth it. Free email apps are already updated with dark mode. Yes, those are made by huge companies but they’re free apps. Would just want to see parity on that level for Newton. If it doesn’t get there I will need to cancel my subscription. Update: Still no updates. Looks like I need to step away from this app until development resumes. Hopefully something changes before my subscription comes up for renewal.

So far so good!. Thank goodness for Newton!! I was on the verge of a mental breakdown when none of the email apps I searched on the App Store supported the email ‘office 365.’ I HAD to find this app in order to view important emails for school and I can safely say that I am now no longer stressed out about the situation. This is app is in my opinion underrated for its services. Newton supports the email I had to use and it is free (so far). I really really hope it lives up to its glory so far!!🤞🏻

Awesome App!. I have used every email app in the App Store trying to find the perfect one. Newton may very well be it! The features, functionality, layout and simplicity are amazing! One account, enter your data one time and it’s there on all of your devices. I know the price is a bit steep, but well worth it for the sake and sanity of productivity. I am definitely looking forward to more things to come with Newton.

Still Need Some Work. Good email app with loads of features but presentation is poor. I would like to see my senders or even email subjects highlighted in a bolder font to make it easier to spot senders. Everything is in the same font and makes it very boring. I may not renew when this subscription expires unless some major changes are made to the app. I have used free email apps that have way better presentation. Also no option to show pictures or avatars for contacts. Unless I am missing all of these hidden some where in the app settings. Please improve.

Best design out there, would love just a few more features. Newton is the fastest and best designed email app I’ve used. A few more features would make it perfect. 1) Full screen email view in iPad portrait mode. Currently the email viewing pane is very narrow in portrait mode. 2) Improved rendering of long emails such as newsletters. Currently, long emails get cut off and you have to tap to expand the email and then scroll all the way back down to find your place.

Best Mail App. Newton is hands down the best app - and I will gladly pay for the incredible superchargers. I was an early adopter when it went from the free CloudMagic app to the paid Newton app, and it didn’t disappoint. When they closed up and didn’t offer the service anymore it was definitely a rough transition to find another app as good as Newton. However, I’m so glad they’re back and immediately renewed my subscription when I saw the app available again. It’s a great app for users with many different inboxes and helps a lot with inbox management. The simple design and layout is perfect for focusing on what’s important. The reason it’s worth the $49 a year - read receipts. It’s a game changing app that will make your email game more efficient.
