Crashing & TTS. The latest update from a couple of days ago now makes the program crash on opening. Also, they still haven't fixed text to speech. It still says things incorrect like Dr for drive is said as doctor.

Useless. The map has great information. The map is easy to follow. The problem is the map will only send you to toll roads. I do not have a toll road sticker yet. In settings I chose to avoid toll roads. Every address I put in takes me to a toll road. No matter how far I drive the map is telling me to make a U-turn to go back to Houston to get on the toll road. I am forced to use the IPhone map that only gives me directions but at least I have the option of no toll roads

Disappointing at best. There’s never a big fan of Google or Waze or any of the other map apps I’ve tried but this one takes the cake. When I found out it could pair with my head yet pioneer 4200NEX. The app basics are glitchy at best, Wen it decides it wants to work it workskinda well. The free version is OK went wanted to work but after the trial period ends they ask you to pay to keep using. The amount that they asked is absolutely asinine Given the amount of options out there, It’s borderline insulting.

$50, really?. This was an option by Pioneer to display navigation on their car stereo. But these guys want $50 for that capability. Then you would get one of those awkward and usually frustrating navigation systems that most car makers put into their systems. Type in “pizza” and get a list of pizza places (assuming pizza is in their name) and their distance from you. Need to see that on a map—fugettaboutit. It like using an old Garmin from 15 years ago.

This a great GPS navigation App!. Like the reach without having to use expensive data rate when you cross the border or go abroad. When I try to link my contact the App crashes after few minutes. I have to re-install it and NOT LINK MY CONTACT from my IPhone Beside that Great for long haul traveling and traveling abroad.

still my go to map. I notice since the last few updates that the pro guidance sometimes tell me to exit the highway only to immediately tells me to get back on the highway again. The voice has trouble with many street names having to spell the names instead of speaking them. I want to see a button on the main map that allows me to quickly change route options such as “avoid toll roads” instead of having to go through a lot of menus to do this. I do like the pro guidance correctly telling which lane to be in to keep the correct route.

Bad user interface. Outdated or difficult in updating. Ugly user interface hard to understand. Not user friendly. More modifications is needed. Not competitive.

Newby GPS. As of the latest update, it no longer works in the dash of my Can Am Spyder. Tried different cables. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Checked my purchases and nothing. Worthless?

Curtis Stump. Wish I could pin several places. For the next days adventures.

Not too bad but quirky. Needs some polish: 1) the app shows random “message of the day” advertising things even though I’ve already bought into the app. Would be great if there could be an option to disable it. 2) after recent update, the speed, safety camera, and petrol station alerts re-enable themselves even after I explicitly disable them. This is very annoying!

Freezing. Map keeps freezing, please update

Good to use. Good to use but the down fall is when I input a address it does not find it

PGoddard. A little hard to get used to. You have to have an accurate destination not just a general area like google maps allows. It shows up good on the CanAm Spyder display while riding. A bit problematic with the IPhone permissions but I’m sure it’s just a phone issue.

Genius Vs Sygic. I have a 2018 Can Am Spyder and downloaded both GPS Apps. I use iPhone and for me, the Genius Map app works the best.

Not bad. Cannot give 5 star because it does not have a compass. Sometimes need to know the direction of travel. Hope you are listening.

ZERO STARS!!!!. This so-called “GPS” is the worst thing ever! It is, in fact, the exact opposite of a GPS. When someone puts in a destination, it is expected that the program will take them there in a reasonably quick and direct way. It is expected that directions for turns, exits, etc. will be given unambiguously and in plenty of time for the driver to take appropriate action. My experience with this piece of trash shows that whoever wrote the app did not have any of the above in mind. Turns are announced after it is too late to move into the proper lane, causing you to miss the turn and need to be rerouted. Directions are ambiguous at best. This morning I followed the directions exactly and ended up going the wrong direction on a freeway off-ramp!!! I could have been killed because of this thing!!! Then, when I was navigating to somewhere that I somewhat knew where to go near the end of the route, the directions literally took me in the opposite direction from where I had to go. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS APP. I REALLY WISH I HADNT.

Great gps app. Better than all my other apps.. thanks

Live traffic needs to be working. The live traffic not working I’m in a hurricane trying to leave out have beacou cars for miles drove right into it

Genius Maps Saved My Hike. I once got lost on a hike and the fact that GPS works in offline mode helped me get back on the right trail!

New user. In a previous review I noted that the user was directed to leave the road they were on then directed them back on the road they were already on. Has this been corrected?

Good on latest roads poor on closures. Head to head comparson with inTouch in 2018 Jag FPace 20d with latest SD update: beats the SD with respect to latest roads but fails to show long-standing road closures. Would give it 4-5 stars if it could perform the latter.

Route planning is impossible. There are no step by step directions or help section to plan a route and it’s not intuitive.

Voice or NO. Frustrated that out of numerous attempts to use the ap on my Spyder after paying a big price tag; the voice has only worked one time. The navigation is accurate and loaded with features but I need the voice on my helmet to work also. Why is there no support line? I have tried everything I could try to blame this on BRP CONNECT but this app won’t talk to me period even though I have the volume turned up on my bike and the app or my phone all the way. At this point I feel as if I have been ripped off. I am encouraging all to beware. I have tried to contact Genius maps with no luck. Apple needs to shut them down or refund all of the money spent by Apple users!

Addresses. How can I save my settings from the last time I used this. The next time I go to use it everything goes back to what you have programmed in it. It is the most frustrating thing I have ever tried to use with no instructions.

Map is ok but very hard to use.. In the modern age of simplicity this map app has lost its way. Maybe I need to take a week long seminar on how to use this easily. Trying to make the switch from Google or Apple Maps to this compares to moving backwards rather than forward. The information is accurate. The use is a far cry from easy.

Pay wall. I have to pay $25 to be able to use this app on my radio when apple and google maps is free. The app in general just isn’t even good and if you pay the $25 it doesn’t even work everywhere in the world

False advertising. I Purchased this app because it is required to use the navigation feature on my Can-Am spider. After purchasing downloading and attempting to use it on my spiral I find it will not work. I am prompted to buy another version for another $50. Buyers beware. Apple has declined my request for a refund. Samsung is starting to look much better.

It does what it’s supposed to do.. It does what it’s supposed to do, however, I wish it was more like Waze. It’s nice to know ahead of time when a highway might have an obstruction on it, or when a service vehicle might be working ahead.

Not user friendly. Too bulky. Not as easy to use as Apple Maps and Google maps and too expensive . AND, it doesn’t even recognize my work address

Download maps. You can use this anywhere, places where you don’t get data connection.

Update 2.6.5 doesn’t work on Pioneer. Since this update, my Pioneer AVH-2800 launches the Genius Map app fine but the map does not update and the aspect ratio is wrong. The map is zoomed in and frozen in place. Please fix the app and I will update the review.

Complete fail. Don’t download this app. I installed it for a recent trip to Iceland and it was useless. It is out of date for major roads/exit to top sites; it does not even show roads in national parks (these are not obscure places) and let’s not even talk about smaller F roads. A complete fail.

Not quite what I expected. It is a nice app, but not ready out of the box. Had to purchase Navteq navigation for guidance, and pony up another purchase to connect to CarPlay/AppRadio. If I had known this up front I wouldn’t have given this a look.

Very difficult to use. I am fairly tech savvy, but the trial version of Genius maps in not intuitive at all. It appears you have to have an exact address for a destination and it takes you by the shortest route, not good for planning motorcycle rides.

Poor interaction- can’t get hardly any address . I feel cheated. Poor interaction- can’t get hardly any address to go to location of choice. I feel cheated out of my money spending for motorcycle that has gps display and I can’t enter location most of the time. Why not let us use phone to find location instead of clumsy motorcycle joystick. Also program doesn’t find addresses most of the time.

Where is the speech feature???. Wish it had the speech feature so that I can enter an address using my voice. The price of a map is ludicrous!

Still won’t work with Pioneer decks. I spent $90 for the two components necessary to work with my Pioneer Deck in my car. 5 months later it stopped working. It’s been 5 months and multiple updates to the software and it still doesn’t work. They say they can’t refund my money. I don’t think I’ve ever been more blatantly robbed in any software purchase in my life. Don’t buy this! Maybe some day they will fix it...maybe not.

Connection problems. Purchased map, traffic, and connect. Before I purchased the maps, during the trial, everything worked perfectly. After the purchase, which was quite a lot, can no longer connect. Emailed the company multiple times but no response. I would caution before purchasing any of these maps or corresponding services.

Sm. Great product. I just got a new Pioneer car radio. A little expensive for all the products but I think it’s worth it

Love it. So far I love this app the only thing I wished it would tell the route number when possible instead of telling the name of the street, so far that the only complaint I have.

Much improved update. 1. Map no longer locks up. 2. default settings for voice is nice. 3. Still get booted out of BRP sometimes

Slow. Very slow. One of the recommended destinations has been out of business for over 10 years

Decent nav app. My primary use for GPS is for traffic monitoring, not directions. Genius maps does a good job of displaying the traffic and letting me scroll ahead. I would prefer if it would let me zoom out a little further while still showing the traffic and if it would remember my settings. However, it still workable.

Map directions. Wish I could just use google maps on my radio. Horrible directions

Lots of glitches. Have tried using this a few times and when I can get it to actually load it does not give a direct short route. Constantly tried to reroute me on the experimental rides when I took the route I knew to be direct and quickest. I was very disappointed that the app will only load 1 out of 4 times I want to use it

Doesn’t work. Why don’t they let us give 0 star reviews? Because this is a 0 star review despite the one star. Does work with BRP connect on my 2019 F3 Limited. Dash says I need to buy the app, so I guess the free version is only good for my phone, which the app works on.

Mireo support not responsive. Sent few emails to Mireo support team, they never responded back. I paid for both, US and US WebLink maps, it does not work with my Pioneer DMH-T450EX which has Genius Maps link on it.

Needs more work. Difficult to create your own routes and I haven’t found a way to import .gpx files which would be helpful since my riding buddy uses a Scenic mapping.

Accurate, Colour Scheme ?. I love the automatic zoom function and the auto-route. However, search is slower than a frozen snail, and the standard colour scheme is hard to see. White roads on light a light grey back ground. When zooming out the route is very hard to see, as it shrinks to a very thin line.

Review. Always room for improvement.

Trish. First off it got my location wrong then it would not save my location. It asks you to open a locations display but does not say how to do this. It will give direct routes to places but does not allow you to plan your own trip if you want to take in the sites or go a different way. I will stick with google maps.

Bill. I’ve been using it in Greece and I can truly say it provides Excellent turn by turn directions

useful app. This app is useful. It shows my route clearly and accurately,I like to use it.

Excellent.. Works well. Supports Alpine MySPIN (please continue to do this). Elegant interface. I would like the ability to have spoken speed warnings active even when not using navigation, but otherwise perfect.

Shocking. This is the most unfriendly GPS navigation system I have ever used. You can not set it up to work the way you want and keep it in that mode. Continually changes from 2D back to 3D. It’s rubbish.

App doesn't audio issues. Doesn't work well with pioneer head units. You can't have it running and play Pandora or music on your iPhone at the same time so you have to use radio and it doesn't mute it when it guides you.

Maps are not up to date and search is useless. For the price better use waze or google maps. Fuel station in my area are not even on the maps. Not worth it don’t waste your money...it doesn’t even know where I live it goes straight when you put the house number. With no house number it turn on my street . Looks like they have got lots of work to do before an expensive price tag..

Upgrade doesn’t work. I paid for a one off off license thru the App Store, money was taken from my account and hasn’t registered and can’t use the app as saying upgrade required filling free trial. I’ll be contacting Apple for a refund

The Genius Map app does not work! I paid $ 71.00 .. I have tried to enter addresses all across Canada the app tells me cannot be found. I have typed dozens of addresses in all provinces still nothing. I have a garmin in my truck and it works perfect all the time. How do I get my money back? BRP connect tells me you have a good app. I have a iPhone SE it should work please tell me why it don't ? Michael Coleman

Not consistent. I have trouble with the map program integrating smoothly on startup with BRP connect. The maps aren’t always acting on prompts, example: I’d like the map to stay in 2D but seems to always switch to 3D view. I try and change back to 2D when I’m riding but sometimes freezes up. Could just be working inside another app that slows it up or makes it less responsive. Maps on dash don’t look like map on phone.

Terrain/ topical maps. It’s a good map as I see but I don’t want to spend the extra money after the 7 day free trail unless I see that Canada and Manitoba has terrain and topical maps, also are you planning on having more icons that symbolize the vehicle instead of a big circle bullseye?

So so good. Would have liked to seen a topical view of the map seems like a lot of money to pay for something that doesn’t have everything as there are other apps out there that provide the same thing which are free

Never buy it. Lazy turn announcement gets you in trouble in the middle of speedy highways. Very confusing layout. Unfriendly. You will end up paying for more than the price of a stand alone GPS. Not worth it.

Maps are not up to date. My maps give me wrong g directions all the time. The interface is very difficult to see in the day with whit lettering and light background. Customer service response time is extremely slow.

It's not free, pay $50 to enjoy it. At first glance it is good, nicely designed layout, colours, details, very good, free maps. But then comes "but"...In order to use this app as it should be to enjoy its navigation, need to buy Pro Guide package which cost you $50. Without ProGuide this app will not have voice guidance, traffic info, cameras, etc. Even when try to launch the route, it immediately switches to "buy ProGuide". Not worth it, there are better choices with proven devices and maps and features ex. Farming, TomTom, Magellan etc. with comparable prices and high reputation.

Excellent App. I'm using this app from dec 2014. Every time the app updates its wow. I love using this app. Also I love the offline feature allows me to search for places even when I'm offline. Great awesome app for very few bucks spent. Thanks Genius Maps for making such an awesome offline map. I loved it 😜

Not intuitive. Interface not intuitive both my teenage son and I have problem with getting to different options and pages. During driving, app already told us to turn right, while stopped at the light, it suddenly said to turn left, then it briefly showed a different which was still based on right turn, then went backed to the original routing. One thing I liked was option to select intersection and from map to pick final destination, but major intersections like University and dundas in Toronto is not shown.

Really great app!. It was the first offline map app that we bought and highly satisfied with this app.

Genius map. Assez difficile a comprendre, mais précis. Notre cell doit toujours être relié à la moto, c’est un inconvénient. Je commence à le comprendre mais pas aussi facile que google map

Doesn’t work in Canada at least. In app purchases don’t work.. I bought the $70 North America premium maps for my car navigation on my phone and they don’t work. It just says “services are unavailable” or “cannot contact the mireo store” and do not let you use them. At first I thought it was just an error so I bought it again. Spent twice the value of the service and maps. Still no navigation or maps. Wasted well over $100 to try and get these maps to work. Support also never got back to me.

awesome. this app is accurate. doesn't require data to work. and is worth it to buy the pro maps for me in North America

Cash Grab and Scam!!!. Spent $120 to get the maps and subscriptions needed for my New Car and it still wont let me use it. Unbelievable scam Functions were AWFUL for the few minutes it did work. DONT waste your time and money

Works ok. This app works ok but before I purchase they said it would be naming the streets turn by turn but it doesn't. Some address can't even be found. Please update then you will get a 5 star rating.

Buggy. Doesn’t work , keeps freezing in Range Rover Evoque InApps Control. Definitely would pay $50 to unlock it, as if!!!

User friendly. The interface of this navigation app is very beautiful. And I like the live traffic feature most which lets me know about congestion and reroute my trip automatically.

Missing lakes. At the huge « lac Otis » is missing on map

You don't get what you paid for. This app erroneously considers Mexico part of Central America. As anyone with knowledge of geography already knows, Mexico is in North America. As a result, if you pay for the North America region, you do not get all of North America. In my case I tried to get the free trial to see if this would be a good fit for me as I spend a lot of time in Mexico. So I selected North America as my preferred region for the 7 day trial. I didn't get to try the app because they made a mistake and moved Mexico over to Central America.

Too expensive. Too expensive seems like the give you the shell then charge for all the guts

Enjoy the free trial!. The app is free but for everything else you must pay for!

No spoken street names?. This navigation app is more accurate than most but there is one big issue: The street names appear on the screen but they are not spoken by the accompanying voice! If this problem is fixed, I can give 5 stars to this app. Note: I am an iphone 5s and iphone SE user and I have the latest apple software on my phones.

Good app. Pretty easy to use

Very profesional reliable navigation. Among so many similar apps, this one is finaly accurate and easy to use. I was traveling by my car the same route in EU within 5 months, with different road actual conditions. ( under construction) And this app was up to date by all meaning. I felt no fear to be missguided! Thank you guys for this superb job! Maybe, if you would consider to sale more countries in smaller groups, would be cheaper, but more income in sales volume. ( not everyone travels all Europe wide, to need all countries! Should be a must in new road trips!!

Trip from wv to myrtle beach nc. Rt 52 directions were terrible, needs updated!

Excellent GPS App for iPhone. The offline maps for the US work like a charm and I can download just the individual maps I need which is great for my 16gb storage. The smoothness and responsiveness on my iPhone 5 is impressive... far superior to any other navigation I've tried on iOS or any platform for that matter. All in all it's very cleverly put together. I recommend trying it if you're sick of the hassle of online maps failing when you need them. Well worth the investment for the lifetime nav and traffic imo. I'd like to see some more comedian voices in the future.

Travel with confidence. This app was a life saver when I was traveling out state in Maine. I have sprint cell phone service which is pretty much non-existent outside of Portland and the surrounding suburbs. I downloaded this app which had a Northeast US map available for download and usage offline. 4 stars because it missed my friend's address being 5 houses off. Other than that, if you are traveling in a place with spotty service rendering your phone GPS useless, get this app! Don't forget to download the corresponding regional map as well.

Extremely useful app. This app is reliable for offline use and GPS, the interface is easy and quite handy to use, I highly recommend this app to all users that are looking for an offline GPS map app.

Can’t find the simplest places. Why can am wants us to use this app and not google or apple I have no idea. Developers states constant updates but the apps does not recognize my home address

Go get a real gps. I have a 2018 Spyder RT Limited. I paid the $50 for this app. Wish I had put it towards a real gps. This is not a good system at all. Very limited. My old Tom Tom that’s 12 years old is better than this.

Apple phone 11. GPS on this phone does not show me in my driveway but way down the street elsewhere not good enough zero stars

Great app. I am using this app on my iPhone 4 on iOS 5.0.1 and it is wonderful. I also downloaded it on my iPhone 5C on iOS 8.3 but I am not using it because I am holding the iPhone 4 the most of the time. I recomend this app for every user. It is the best offline nagivation GPS. Thank you for making a such great app👍

best map guide for me. i think this is the only map that doesn’t need wifi. i can use this even on the airplane.

Good. Good for traveling with the offline maps. Navigation is quite accurate. Used for the first time is slow, may be it download the update package. And after all most of them are pretty good.

Great. Doesn't have advanced features like some other GPS maps, but works very well. Fast GPS fix, no signal problems, good map coverage for SE Europe. Mireo map for Croatia is great. Suggestions for improvement: - give option to turn off sounds - give option to turn on speed limit indicator all the time, not just when limit is passed. Add fine tuning options for speed limit warning activation, like +5 km/h - +30 km/h - make indicator positions customizable

Worked great in Iceland. I used the basic (free) version on a recent trip to Iceland and found this app perfect. I was able to add all points of interest on a very uncluttered interface. On the negative, I had difficulty searching for points of interest.

Not genius. Glitches frequent, odd routes frequently chosen, consumes lots of data.

Genius Maps with BRP Go. Can’t give more than this as I can’t get it to work even after assist from BRP.

Great app with many POIs. I compared this app with another navigation app i have on my other phone and this by far is much better in smoothness and being rich in the number of POIs. Keep up the good work!

Basic. Basic Navigation comes at a cost! Then a yearly cost! That’s ridiculous!

Inconsistent Search. When using Search, sometimes my street address is found and sometimes it can't be found. Otherwise I love the offline navigation (assuming the Search is successful)

New User. App loaded on new ‘18 Spyder F3, but can’t seem to enter street address or Cycle Gear Little Rock. Know I must be doing something wrong. Will report back after more trial period. Thank you.

Ok. This app would be a lot better if it had exit numbers instead of names. Traveling to unknown locations I don’t know the names of streets to exit.

Maps are great but app has issues. I love the idea of having maps on my ipad that I can access when I am not in Wifi range. These have been very helpful, and the interface is easy to learn. Today i tried upgrading to turn-by-turn with voice, which was a fairly expensive upgrade. It was a big mistake, (though I suspect the problem may be the ipad's gps.) The gps positioning was sporadic at best. Sometimes the location on the map would be miles behind my actual position, making the directions useless. In a residential neighborhood it would locate me on the next street over, making its directions confusing. I love the idea, but it doesn't seem to work on ipad.

Poor go’s. You have to buy the North America pack for it to work? Ridiculous

Civil Engineer. The Navigation should say the of the streets. On the top, it should place the direction signs on the left and the name of the road/ exit number on the right. That will make it clear the directions have to have big fonts. Please include fonts so that users can make fonts bigger. What about speed camera alert? The dashboard needed to be bigger

Highly Accurate. This app is good for those who travels and every map and every area area is highly accurate. The one thing I liked too is You can use it offline with its offline feature but You must download the data in first use of the app. As a round up this Map app is incredible You can see every map and their locations with ease and the GPS system is good too because if You are lost you can clearly tell where You are with this powerful App.

Good app with 3 major problems.. Good app but it has three major problems that needs to be fixed: 1. Very poor database search in finding addresses 2. Huge battery usage 3. It occupies a lot of memory space on a phone.

Screen is cut off. Screen is cut off on pioneer screen. I cannot interact with map on pioneer screen. Map pronounces streets incorrectly.

Crashing on iOS 7.1.2. App freezes when panning around the map after a couple of seconds. :( Tried it with clean installation. Can you guys please make an update that actually works? This is not the first time an update made the app perform worse or not work at all. Too bad I live in Serbia and map coverage of it is poor in many other apps that offer offline maps, otherwise, I would not bother using your app or even writing this review. Please ensure the app is functional before submiting an update. >:( It's a good app when it works, but this is infuriating.

Crashed. Crashes every time I attempt to use settings.

Unfriendly App. Not Recommended

Useful. The app is useful. Compared with other navigation apps, its interface is more friendly and the easy for guidance. Besides it can be used offline, which is more convenient.
