The irony. So doordash been stealing money from and it’s nothing I can do about it they are upset that a tell them everything wrong with my meal like for instance if I ordered 12 tacos and get 11 why would I just say oh it’s fine also if I get 1 1/4 of chicken from Boston market but they clearly give me 1 and tell me they’re out of everything else why are y’all upset with me basic business etiquette y’all random employees is gone to mess up so yesterday I ordered a meal and a gallon tea from Popeyes I only received the tea i called my dasher she said they was out and she tried to call but she never put in the app the food wasn’t accepted like you are suppose too I was not compensated for my food they sent a email saying since we refunded you for past orders we can’t do it no more HIGHWAY ROBBERY at its best in situations like this to know nobody cares about my money so you can only get compensated for a few orders after that you have to deal with it if it’s for ya kids oh well if it’s for your starving grandma they won’t care door dash made me realize AMERICA companies are built on scams I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels this way if it was black owned company the business would of been on the news asap stealing is stealing

Hoping for Improvement. I use the service frequently throughout the week to make sure breakfast & dinner is delivered to my parent when I’m at work. I’ve added specific instructions to my profile asking that the food is delivered to a person who answers the door and that the food is not left on the porch due to wheelchair accessibility issues. Lately there have been several instances where the food has either been left at the door multiple times without a phone call to ensure it gets served hot and isn’t left sitting for 30 minutes to an hour unnoticed (because no one in the house is aware the food was left at the door) or in one instance it was delivered to next door to the neighbor’s house even though there are specific directions and a description the house to avoid confusion. When the Dashers deliver the order and call if they have any questions, the deliver runs extremely smooth; however, lately, I’ve noticed that at least 5 times in the last month, the orders was simply left on the porch without even attempting to put it in anyone’s hand. The camera on the porch shows this behavior, which is the opposite of what I’ve requested. I’m hoping this gets better soon, or I’ll need to switch to another service to see if this type of issue can be resolved. At the end of the day, I just want to take care of my parent with care the best way possible.

Good App. Good Service. Good Money Grab.. I find that the app itself is easy enough to use for any of my food orders. However the pricing is a bit high just to have some food delivered. I’m talking about the delivery, and service fees. They offer free delivery on certain orders, from certain restaurants, except the service fee will then be higher. It’s just quite a leap in price from picking something up, to having it delivered through Door-Dash. I get that it’s meant to be convenient. However, something stops being convenient when it becomes quite a bit more expensive. Then they say “we’ll just sign up for our Door Pass” and you’ll get free deliveries, except again, those services fees are tricky. Not to mention, you’re now paying $9.99 a month for something you only use like once or twice a month. It just doesn’t make much sense unless your ordering food delivered several times a week, but even then with the service charges and tips added, you might as well drive the 5 minutes (2miles) and pick it up yourself. These Apps in a way take advantage of elderly people, and sick people who can’t leave their homes due to isolation, quarantine, or the fear of getting sick and who have no family or friends to help them. They have no choice but to spend the extra money to use these apps so they can eat. Which is not great in a time where a majority of people are financially struggling. End review rant.

Used to love this service!!. Giving one star because doordash has been my go to for a few years now, and when we have issues with the food they were really good at fixing the issue. I don’t blame them for the crappy food that these restaurants are serving but I do expect them to at least fix the problem when there is one. Last night I got a complete wrong order, showed the receipt in the messages so that we could at the very least get the food replaced. Didn’t open it, even offered to give it back. Or have a credit or refund. They chose to say we had did this before and there was nothing they could do. Which is ridiculous cause we have only complained one other time about this restaurant. A year ago, at that!! But also who doesn’t complain when the order is completely wrong or missing items, which has been very often lately which is why we started to use it less. And then when I think just maybe, just maybe my order will be correct, this happens. Do we just accept it even though we spent our money on it?!?!? Like I’m sorry but that’s not something I’m doing. I would rather have the food replaced than to receive the money but apparently they don’t like doing that either. So my family, friends and I have chosen to delete out accounts and go with another service. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Even tried speaking with a supervisor but still the same results. Be cautious using this app because they don’t like to do what’s right!!! Very disappointing DOORDASH! Do better!!

WORST FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE. Wow. I’ll start by saying that my food has arrived late and cold on several occasions. I have been using Uber eats religiously ever since. Tonight, I was in the mood for chili’s, which only door dash offers delivery for. I REGRET IT. Why did I ignore my past experiences and give DoorDash another chance?! I am so mad at myself. LISTEN TO THIS: I ordered my food around 9:00 pm. An HOUR later, a driver finally decides to take the order. HE COMES FROM A CITY 25-30 minutes AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. The food arrived at 11:00 pm. COLD AND SOGGY. Not only was the food late but I PAID FOR PRIORITY DELIVERY AND THE DRIVER MADE TWO STOPS BEFORE MINE! Not one, but TWO STOPS. I contact customer service and after spending 40 dollars on food, they offer 13 dollars refund and 5 dollars “credit”. I paid for the food, I paid for the delivery fee, the tax, the maintenance fee, and the TIP. And all you can offer in return is 5 dollars credit? Door dash charges 7-8 dollars in alone in fees. That 5 dollar “credit” won’t even cover the fees. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I think it’s horrible that I paid with my hard earned cash for a service that is mediocre. How could you not notify me that my driver would be making two stops before mine but charge me for priority delivery? Horrible company

Address issues. I enjoy the DoorDash app very much. I’ve been using it more than other food delivery apps. Ordering is simple and easy and many Dashers are friendly and professional from my experiences. The reason why I’m giving it 3 stars is that there seems to be some strange issue with my address on the app. Now I can’t speak for everyone else cause this might not be a problem for others but for me, it’s becoming a big issue. I live in a mobile home park and similar to apartments, we have Lot numbers specific to our mobile homes. I put all of the necessary credentials in for my address. I add my Lot number to the apt/suite spot. Everything’s there. However, for some unknown reason, the Lot number does not show up on the address and this has been confusing some of the dashers delivering to me. Now, most of the dashers end up finding me (though, some of them had to circle the neighborhood a few times or will call or text just to get additional information to help find me) but there have been times where my food was not delivered to the right place and this has happened more than twice (too many times to be honest…). I find it strange that my Lot number does not show for my address during these deliveries. It only makes things difficult for me and the dasher. I hope this gets fixed because this is becoming too much of a hassle for me to add extra instructions just to help my dashers when something simple as a “LOT NUMBER” can easily fix this problem…

Order correction is too difficult. Recently made an error on an order. Forgot to change my delivery address. App would not allow me to correct the delivery address despite several attempts to do so. I contacted the driver who was assigned, explained my error and he assured me he would bring it to my current address. The order was reassigned to a new driver who wasn’t provided the new corrected delivery address so my order went to the wrong location despite much effort to correct the error. I love DoorDash but feel they need to improve the customers control over the delivery. My chat history with 1 driver should roll over to the next driver if the order is reassigned to a new dasher. Frustrating situation because I added $10 to the minimum tip that was meant to go to the dasher who chatted with me. Instead, it appears it went to the dasher who was reassigned to the order and didn’t follow the instructions/updated address. I did receive a full refund minus tip or service fees, I can’t determine which part wasn’t refunded. It’s a little disappointing because I did everything possible to correct literally seconds after the order was placed. Customer needs to have ability to correct or edit orders more easily. There should be a better system in place to ensure errors can be corrected quickly and easily. Perhaps add a command that will tell dasher to contact customer to discuss errors on the order prior to pick up. This would help prevent mistakes from being locked in.

Bad customer service. No communication from driver. Had a really bad overall experience with the Dasher and Customer Service. After placing my order, I kept noticing my delivery time get later and later. After about 30 minutes waiting, I tried texting than calling the dasher because I noticed they kept driving farther and farther, but she would not answer or respond. Finally decided to contact a customer service agent via chat and who informed me my order had been cancelled because the restaurant unable to fulfill my order. Mind you this is about 45 minutes into me placing my order. I had received no message from the dasher or the door dash app to inform me of the cancellation. The app still showed the order was active and assigned to the dasher. If I hadn’t contacted customer service, I would not have known my order was cancelled. The customer service agent was short and unconcerned with my frustration and kept trying to disconnect with me after every message without making sure I had my concerns taken care of. She had very poor customer service and mad an already frustrating situation even worse. The kicker is, I drove to the same restaurant right after and placed the same exact order through them and got it made no problem. I would not doubt it if the dasher stole the food and cancelled the order herself. Very poor quality overall from DoorDash and will no longer be using your services. Be a decent human being and tip your drivers fairly. I love this app so much. These drivers are LIFE okay? Like shout out to yall forreal! Ima single mom and I struggle with insomnia stemmed from ptsd. When I couldn’t even leave my house because I was either too depressed or because of symptoms related to my ptsd this app became my go to. Even though my ptsd has drastically improved from where I was last year I still use it those nights when I get this weird craving out of nowhere or a sweet tooth but im stuck at home with both my kids asleep at 3am and got my satisfaction within 30 mins. Only had one problem with service and it wasn't the drivers fault it was the restaurant! I always tip "other" cuz like it shouldn't even be a question lol. If I cant afford that for what they do, I suffer (IMMENSELY lol) and wait to get it myself the next day. If you tip the bare minimum please sit back and think about how you wouldn't be getting what your gettin when your getting it if not for these drivers and reconsider your final decision . Think of them like servers at your favorite restaurant. Your tips are how they make their money. Why should these drivers be any different Getting out of their beds at 3am for our silly cravings were too lazy or incapble of getting ourselves.

Terrible service. DoorDash used to be fine . Nowadays they have complete incompetent people working for them , from countless drivers taking multiple orders to the point your food is cold and you were the first to order as a whole to them bringing completely wrong orders you know are wrong just by looking at the size of the bag . Then they blame the consumer and refuse to give refunds . It’s alright because I will be disputing this with my bank and they can take it up with them . I find it ridiculous that they have support systems and suddenly when they say they can’t issue a refund then suddenly nobody has access to anything anymore . The lies with this company to keep your money for a service not given is absolutely ridiculous . I have cancelled that ridiculous dash pass account that offers no real benefit anyway (a scam within itself ) , and I will be deleting this app for good and moving into Uber or Grubhub . This app has really fallen from grace and it’s only going to continue the more they steal from people . A $23 order to only receive $8 worth of food and refusing my money back ? Yeah I’ll let you all think that . Then guilts you to tip the drivers when they can’t even take 2 secs to notice everything isn’t in the bag , nah . It was very simple I could’ve gotten a partial refund or a redelivery (which for some reason they don’t even do that anymore ) , but now I’m just going to dispute the entire order and get ALL my money back . Yall are really stupid for real .

DoorDash will steal your money. I used to love Doordash. It’s an easy and convenient way to order your favorite food after a long day if admittedly a little pricey sometimes. I ended up using it so much I eventually subscribed to the DashPass which is a monthly subscription that allows you to save a bit money on delivery costs per order. Every now and then an item you bought won’t be included in the order you receive, frustrating but it happens. You used to be able to get help through the app and be able to have that item redelivered or refunded, but no longer. On my most recent order I did not receive an item I ordered. I tried to go through the app to resolve this and my request was “investigated” (they only looked at it for 2 minutes without even contacting me), and denied without any reason. I tried to contact a service representative over the phone and they essentially told me they couldn’t do anything because it had already been “investigated”. So now I’m not only left without the food I ordered, but I just lost $20 (the price of my item) without any way to get it back. When all is said and done I ended spending a decent amount of money without anything to show for it. DoorDash stole from me. This is a horrible business model and not only will I be canceling my monthly subscription to the Dashpass, but I will never be using this app again and will warn everyone I know who uses it that eventually they will scam money from you. Do not use this service.

Doordash even stole Keys. Doordash doesn’t hold their Enployees Accountable. Although I made a huge unfortunate mistake of leaving my keys in the door after getting home from work, tired, with handful of things, my doordasher violated me. The doordasher stole my keys!!!!!! As soon as he arrived we heard him remove the keys from the door, knock, then run. After opening our door we found our food sitting on our mat, as we had prompted for no contact. When realizing he took our keys we submitting a complaint to doordash as well as submitting a police report. The detective assigned to the case contacted doordash hoping to communicate with the dasher, however doordash will not release his information. Understandably, I get wanting to protect the employee, but I don’t understand not diligently working to make sure the issue at hand is resolved nor happens again. If they have not fired that dasher, they inevitably have a thieving employee ready to prey on the next customer. ADDITIONALLY, we learned that doordash is too unreliable when two days later we received the complete wrong order, we tried to immediately contact the dasher to inform her we had the wrong order and she was potentially delivering another wrong order, but doordash had blocked the number already. Although we received credit for the inconvenience we have learned that trusting doordash is far too much of a stretch for us.

Information Stolen. My DoorDash account was somehow hacked. The person stole my credit card/bank information and ordered nearly $80 of food. They were in the middle of making a $100+ order when I locked my card. I managed to get the first order cancelled before the food was picked up, but DoorDash was offering only $44 as a refund with a credit of $17 on my next order. I’m a broke college student, so every cent counts. They kept ignoring when I said it wasn’t me just changing my mind and cancelling my order. I had to literally beg a representative for the full refund. I haven’t received it yet. I know it’s only been a couple days and it takes time to process, but I currently have no money to pay for food or medication I HAVE to have, especially not with a compromised card. I’m thankful I have caring friends that are trying their hardest to help me (they are also broke), but there is obviously a serious privacy/security issue. I had not used my card for anything or anywhere in the area since moving into the dorm as I was saving up to do a much needed grocery shop, and it was not linked to any other app. I really really hope no one else has to experience this. It’s extremely stressful and I’ve been on the phone with my bank trying to secure my account and get reimbursed, which can’t happen until DoorDash completes the refund. If you’re gonna use the app, PLEASE watch your bank account closely for any unauthorized charges. You might not be able to get your money back.

Beware of driver name OTM. Person never dropped off food and toke a black photo. Never answered me either. Thankfully door dash gave us back our money but not to our bank account but as credit on their app. For the first time ordering I can say it definitely was a sucky experience! But I like their quick response. Our door also has light and cameras. Unfortunately the next driver placed the bag of food so close to the door that I couldn’t open it without it rolling down the steps and she seen me (the passenger) struggle and still drove off. She literally could of got out and helped but I guess she waited for me to say help when I looked up to say help she already was driving away. Tho I would of not waited for someone to say help and offered it, I still feel this was a better driver than the OTM which I found out means “On The Move” meaning someone making moves being sneaky and they sure was and got away with it. Other than those two experiences I’m ok with giving the app another try. I’m in Philly PA so people out here going to try to take advantage the best way they know how and think they entitled to it smh I just wish there was a way to protect us from people like this who they hire.. I’m ordering again today so let’s see what happens now…

Waste of TIME and money. Although there is a decent selection of restaurants, my order is always pushed farther and farther back from the estimated delivery time with no updates from the driver. I always choose no contact delivery and sometimes the dasher still knocks on my door and waits. If there’s an issue with your food, the dasher will tell you to contact the restaurant. If there’s an issue with the delivery time, your dasher will tell you to contact customer support. Where is the ownership here for the dasher and their service?? Why am I constantly tipping 20% for this to “not be my problem ma’am”. Are you serious?? Check the order, arrive promptly, and don’t drop my order if the total “is too small”. You picked the job, you knew what to expect! My sister is a dasher and told me if the order is small, most likely the majority of dashers won’t take it because they want a big tip. 20% is 20%. And that’s always what I tip! I have had dash pass for 3 months and now I will cancel, I don’t care if I get free dash pass for 3 months, your dasher literally THREW my food on my porch so hard he dropped his phone!! That guy driving his mustang is not starving for a tip so what was the point in arriving late and throwing my food? I’m done door dash. I would rather go back to Uber eats with poor food quality, at least my food will show up on time and their loyalty rewards are better. You’re not getting another dime from me!

Customers are valued. I’m gonna start with that I have a $50 credit for a week for year as an incentive from my employer. Now with that being said, there are times my family of 4 has gone over the credit limit and therefor I use my credit card for the remaining balance. In November I made a door dash order and ended up paying about $15 more than the credit. When I received my order I realized there was a lot of food that was missing. So I called the dasher who explained she just picked up what the restaurant had on the shelf under my name. So I call the establishment and asked why I didn’t get everything and they said because they were out of a lot of food, I said ok then I can get a refund for the food I bought but never received and the manager said to contact door dash. So since the end of November until last week, I was being told I’d have my refund within 7-10 days, never got it so I would contact a few more times and this last time I was able to get ahold of door dash, they stated they could not refund me my money due to their policy and procedures. So I paid for food and never got the food or a refund. I even told them I’d be ok with a credit on my account and they said sorry for this particular order we can not do that. I’ve tried to reach door dash to get a better understanding and now I get nothing. So with the rest of the credits I have until July I will NOT be using and I will NEVER use door dash again!

Works fine - but won’t stop marketing notifications. Your experience using DoorDash as a customer will vary greatly depending on the quality of dashers and restaurants in your area. The service as a whole is essentially about paying a premium to be lazy, but sometimes that premium is 100% worth it. On a technical level, the app works fine. I’ve been using it on and off for years, and have never had an order disappear, or get charged twice for the same thing. Sometimes the map will go blank when the driver is on their way to me, and that’s frustrating because when that happens, the delivery estimate is no longer accurate. But I’m not sure if it’s a glitch, or is a result of dashers turning off their apps while they drive. Sometimes they do this to hide the fact that they are working for multiple delivery apps at once, or working in partnership with someone else and passing off orders. I don’t really care what they are doing, as long as my food isn’t cold or spilled when it gets to me. But it is a better experience when you can see their progress in real time. However! My biggest annoyance with the app is that it continues to send me marketing notifications, even though I’ve turned them off in my settings. A quick google search shows that this is a common problem. Isn’t this against App Store terms? I’m not sure if DD is exploiting a loophole or just assuming, “screw it, nobody will stop us.” But either way, it’s an abuse of customer trust.

Customer service is a disaster. I placed an order, two drivers bailed out on the order due to having to wait an extra ten minutes. Mind you we tip a ridiculous amount both being in the service industry. So, someone picks up the order drops it off and runs away. 100% incorrect order. Missing all four drinks/shakes and I don’t know the 2nd bag of the order. 100% under the wrong name… my name brings with and E not and A. Call customer service and told 100% will go back to the card…. It didn’t. So I contact them and of course there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO. This man I spoke to via text convo, told me to calm down said I was too excited and maybe I had personal problems to be upset that I was lied to again. I have loads of screenshots where I was Insulted and pretty much called a p.o.s. By someone who refused to apply the credit to my card and not an app credit. I was then promised 30+ dollars in a gift card multiple times and got a wait for it 5.00 credit… when asking to speak with someone higher up or idk maybe over the phone I was told I was old and to get with the times. No on talks on the phone anymore. I am sure the BBB would LOVE to know they are lying about their return policy and method of payment. Customer service is disgusting and a total waste of time. Just don’t use the app. Just drive to the place. Give the money to the restaurant directly. Crappy drivers are one thing. Bad customer service is a company approved problem.

Used to be a loyal customer. However their delivery drivers get worse and worse. They can’t follow instructions, deliver it to the wrong location, are impossible to get ahold of, and then are incredibly rude about helping you when it comes to fixing their mistakes. Just had a driver named Luis who could not speak or read a lick of English (this is America) and I spent my entire lunch break trying to find my food. This has happened too many times to even count. I will no longer use the app but beware a lot of restaurants still use doordash as a third party delivery service. So even if you order from the restaurant directly, it’s doordash that delivers it and then it is even more difficult to fix issues the driver’s cause, because the restaurant will tell you to call doordash and doordash will tell you they can’t help you since you didn’t place the order through their app. Granted they are good about issuing refunds, but a lot of the time I don’t need or want the money back, I just want my order delivered correctly. Also the doordash subscription is purposely very easy to sign up for. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally hit that button and didn’t know it until my account was being drafted. It happened on my work credit card once and they don’t issue refunds so I had to pay my company back the money out of my pocket. My recommendation is to skip doordash and stick with a different delivery service. Uber eats has always been great for me.

Really Poor Communication/Instruction Following. I’ve been using door dash for close to two years now and lately, I don’t know what it is, but no one knows how to deliver food lol. The past four times I’ve ordered from them, there’s been a problem. Instructions for the food itself not followed, instructions for the dasher not followed, etc. I’ve had to have food redelivered twice in the past week because of the dasher. The first time, they dropped it off at a neighbors house way down the street, and luckily they called me so I went to grab my food. On the days I order food at work in the morning, I ask that the dasher text me when they get here, as we’re closed when I order food, and the past few times I haven’t had anyone text me which door they left the food at. Today, I straight up didn’t get my food. I texted my dasher and asked where she left my food, and got no response. I checked the front and back doors, and the neighboring businesses, and my food wasn’t there, so I had to have it redelivered again. It’s just really frustrating and I feel like door dash thinks I’m just trying to get free food because I’ve had so many problems lately 😭 And I feel like a jerk even saying this but I tip really well because I know dashers don’t get paid super well and depend on tips, but I’m tired of having to tip close to $10 for someone who isn’t going to follow my instructions or even like... bring me my food lol. I have issues like this every once in a while, but never to this extent.

Not recommend.. The first few times I’ve used this I experienced cold food which is to kinda be expected because they drive around but the last few times has been horrible. The dasher I got delivered to the wrong address after waiting an hour. I texted her and no response. I called the customer service and complained. They asked if I would like to have credit or reorder with a different dasher. I said reorder. They just had the same dasher get my order again. She was late again, got lost, told me it was my fault she was lost and that she delivered to the right house in the first place. I told her she is the one and only dasher who delivered to the wrong place out of all the dashers I’ve had in the past. This dasher literally went back to the place she delivered my pizza too, picked my pizza up from there and then delivered both pizzas to me at the right address. That is completely unsanitary. I didn’t even know which one was the one she delivered to the wrong address and have no idea if anyone or anything touched that food so I couldn’t even eat my reordered food. I am livid. How disgusting is that? Today it took the app 30 mins to even get me a dasher. I tried to cancel my order but they literally offer you less than half what you pay. I contacted customer service text and they literally didn’t reply to me. They gave me to someone else and I told them forget it, I’m never using this delivery service again.

Door dash scams with driver tax fee ontop of delivery tip. I ordered on door dash and everything came but I noticed something on door dash and that was that door dash charged me for a delivery fee before paying the drivers delivery tip. The delivery fee was 8 dollars. I'm fair with my delivery drivers, so I give them a 10 dollar delivery tip. So that means I'm paying 18 dollars for delivery on a fast food meal. But the problem I had is that if I'm paying double for deliveries then is door dash paying its drivers? Well it turns out they are and I'm paying for an extra delivery fee on a fast food order. So I reached out to customer service at door dash and asked if they paid their drivers and they said they do. So I asked why am I being charged twice then when I pay. She wouldn't answer the question and tried to bribe me to get rid of me. I could care less about the refund. I just wanted answers. Well she wouldn't give me any and ontop of that she said she was only giving me a refund because she felt guilty. I just wanted to let people know that door dash and rally's are using scummy tactics to increase their profits. This order was with rally’s so I’ve included them in this cause it would be an incomplete story without it. Also: Rallys prices are higher on door dash than at the restaurant Rally's menu is limited because those items don't sell as well as others at rally's over other menu items. Ontop of a limited menu, the limited menu prices are higher than at the restaurant.

They’ll steal your money. I was a consistent user of door dash for a while and I paid for the dash pass monthly. I made an order on DoorDash and the wait time on the order was over an hour so I proceeded to cancel my order and asked to have the money refunded to my card and the wait was going to be roughly three days. I was instructed to contact my bank if I didn’t see the funds after three days. Three days pass and I’m still waiting for my money to come back into my account so I contacted my bank and they tell me that there is no record of door dash attempting to refund my money. So I then proceeded to contact door dash and this time they tell me repeatedly that they issued a “refund” but I would not see any money return to my account??? After wasting my breath I finally agreed to take my refund in door dash credit. A couple days later I decided to use the credit issued to my account and made an order. I received my order and was missing 5 items from my order and when I attempted to report this issue to door dash I was immediately told that because I used credit they couldn’t do anything. I open the customer support chat and was told that because of the previous issue with my account they could do nothing to fix my order. So basically i spend money every month for a “premium subscription” to door dash and then I spent two weeks trying to get my money back from door dash just to have it stolen again and then be told that I can’t have my money or my food.

Great app if you want to waste your money and time :). On multiple occasions I have had issues with doordash across different states, restaurant, time of order placed, the issue is clearly with doordash and the dashers themselves. I’ve had dashers deliver food to the entirely wrong apartment and swear up and down they delivered it to the right apartment even if the delivery photo clearly shows a different apartment number. I’ve had orders missing food many times, I once had a order from chipotle where I ordered a steak bowl with rice, beans, the works, and they literally gave me lettuce and meat with nothing else with the excuse their doordash system never send the orders to them correctly. I’ve had orders with ‘technical difficulties’ get cancelled an hour after I placed the order and got all the confirmation notifications saying ‘order confirmed by ___’ ‘order being prepped by kitchen’ only for doordash to turn around and claim ‘technical difficulties’ and tell me ‘place another order at a different restaurant’ as if by that time most restaurants had closed. All around a horrible app and a waste of time and money. Customer support is awful and half the time doesn’t even reply back, or will refund you $1 for a missing item that cost $10. Best bet I reccomend uber eats or literally any other app.

New changes stops refunds when order is missing items or just incorrect. I have been using doordash for a very long time. It was great, no issues, was always fair in their terms. Lately however, when I order, as usual items are wrong or completely missing. Which is usually fine as it happens, but I always want to be compensated as I paid for the meal and didn't pay to get the wrong item or to not have it at all. 2 items from a previous meal didn't show up and they wouldn't reimburse me at all. I understand people abusing it, but there is no way to definitely prove or I would each time. Its ridiculous that I paid for an item that didn't even show up and I wasted money and there is nothing they can do about it. The last straw was paying $40 for meal because we were feeling extra, and the whole meal was completely wrong, they only compensated us for $19. It was atrocious, but again I know its not doordash’s fault. But it feels really wrong that they can just take your money and you just have to get what you get. No decency to what you ordered and what you specifically requested and paid for, even extra due to tips, taxes and more taxes to help the app. Which I would be totally ok with if they got my order right and repaid me for items I never got. Will not be coming back until I get refunded for the previous items I mentioned. I had no control in making sure the items were correct before it being delivered.

Thieves. The drivers on this app are starting to become desperate. 3 of my last 4 orders were a complete disaster. If I have to spend 90 minutes on the app trying to speak to support after a failed delivery, is it really worth it. My driver pretended to deliver my order, took a picture of the receipt on the dashboard, and left. Door Dash tells me the driver delivered it to the correct address & gave me about a 25% refund for any inconvenience. Any subsequent action I took to resolve it, resulted in me being told a credit was already issued. I had to call my bank to dispute the charge. A few weeks ago, the driver gets my food, waits for me to text her about it because she was taking a while, then she says she got a flat & asked ME to cancel the order. I know, because I used to be a driver, if the customer cancels, you get to keep the food. I asked her to cancel it if she couldn’t deliver it & she refused. Told me I would have to wait an hour for triple A to come so she could deliver it. I called support & they had the nerve to ask me if I can wait for cold food to arrive. No other solution, just wait. I cancelled it knowing that person just wanted the food. I have since developed a relationship with that restaurant owner & he says it happens all the time. He gets a big order, then he ends up making it over again, knowing the driver must have stolen it. I now go to him directly. He doesn’t deserve that. Thieves!

Terrible Customer Service. I have been using DoorDash for a while now and I have had it with them. So many issues with missing food items, poor food quality among others but biggest problem is the customer service. I recently discovered that refunds they claimed to have refunded to my account due to various issues never hit my account. Yesterday I made an order and had food quality issues where some of the food had been packaged poorly and chucks of meat cut off. Looked as if someone had been feasting on the food. When I called customer service they said they would refund but the amount they were refunding was less than what I paid for the food and the actual cost of the food and they said they also could not refund any associated taxes. I was transferred to the tax department and the representative I spoke to could not answer any of my questions and kept giving me irrelevant information and even refused to send an email or point me to the policies she was claiming. When I requested for a supervisor she was very rude and completely refused to transfer me to a supervisor or even another representative. She kept saying that a I should keep my phone on and someone will call me back. She completely refused to get me through to someone else and was even raising her voice at me. It’s been almost 24hours now with no contact from them and this is my last straw. Completely disappointed and DoorDash has turned out to be another scam, stealing from customers even in refunds.

Good (overall). In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for certain foods and those who prep it. It has been said that “anyone can cook”. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what those meant. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist *can* come from *anywhere*. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking around the world. I will be returning to Door dash soon, hungry for more.

Customer Service Down The Drain.. I recently used DoorDash to buy headphones from a retail store. The headphones would stop playing sound whenever a loud bang would occur and so I was unsatisfied and just wanted to return the item, not a refund because that would just be crazy. Immediately after contacting support they submitted a ticket on my behalf to escalations. I barely said a word. A few minutes later, I received an email saying my refund request was denied. I specifically said I didn’t want a refund, just to return the item, so I figured there was a miscommunication issue. So I’ve tried contacting support again, and the person just said to return the item to the store and I’ll get a refund. So I did, and the store gave me a return receipt, took the item and said 5-7 business days. This was February 5th, and now it’s the 26th. I contacted them again and they said to keep waiting and just ended the chat. I didn’t even time to reply. And this has been a recurring thing lately. They’ll give me a quick answer, and then end the chat before I can answer. Today, I reached out one last time, and they literally told me I should have gotten store credit instead of a refund. They said my refund request was already declined and ended the chat. I’m calling my bank tomorrow to dispute the charge tomorrow morning, and I have the receipt of the return, but no thank you, never using DoorDash again.

Good Service but Bad Approach. Great service for having a new baby and not having any food in the house or time to go out but please change this one thing. We live in an apartment building on the 4th floor with other town homes and apartments around us and write clear instructions for drivers on how to get to our door. However 3/5 times, the drivers clearly don’t pay attention and just drop the order off at the wrong building outside or at one of the town homes which doesn’t even match our address at all or the number we’ve provided. We try to call them and message them if we believe they might be lost or to check if they’ve found the place okay but they ignore any type of contact. When it is left at the wrong address, we try to message the dasher but they ignore that as well. The thing I’d liked changed is tipping the driver before even getting our order. The driver should not be getting tips or even base if they pick up the order or not because of the tip. We as users should be given the option of a dasher tip after we have gotten our food. It makes absolutely no sense to tip someone before a service. When have you ever gone anywhere and they’ve asked for a tip before even getting any service provided? Please change the option of tipping to after the food has successfully been dropped off.

Can no longer get refunds for missing items??. Doordash customer service was absolutely ridiculous last night. We won’t be using doordash again. Don’t wanna take a risk. Not sure if they changed their policy or what. We had missing items. Normally you can simply select which items are missing and get your refund. Well this time they made it SOOO difficult for us. They made us go through a customer service agent and they seriously told us we had to take pictures of missing items?!! Really?? How is that even possible?? We even provided the receipt and everything.. Which they, doordash customer service should have access to already. They just kept telling us they could not help us at all. The dasher also did not take a picture of the order after it was dropped off which 99.9% of the time is what they do. Seriously do not know what on earth is going on with doordash. They said there would be an “investigation”. But that we cannot get our refund even though there are missing items which like i said several times here, usually is simply handled by just selecting what items are missing and then you just get your refund and then it goes to doordash credit. We don’t know what’s going on or what happened.

Doordash fell off. Two major things are wrong with this service: 1) My boyfriend pays for Dash Pass and literally almost every order we’ve gotten in the past 2 weeks has been incorrect in some way - missing items, wrong items, or making us wait 2.5 hours for a delivery of a restaurant 5 miles away and the food shows up completely cold. There is no WAY all of these restaurants can’t read the tickets they’re being given, so one has to assume there is something wrong with the app as of late. The amount of refund money Doordash has had to give back to us just in the past two weeks has probably funded his Dash Pass for three months now, but we’ll be canceling anyway. 2) Doordash lays on a MAJOR guilt trip trying to get you, the customer, to tip their drivers well. I have driven for Doordash also and am well aware that most of my income through Doordash has been from the generous tips I’ve been given during my shifts. As with all large companies, Doordash does not pay its employees well, and the onus to make up for their corporate greed is passed on to the paying customer. Two stars given on this review because, when it actually works, Doordash is of course a wonderfully convenient service with good options for different types of food. But Doordash is expensive enough as it is without it messing up every order and trying to beg us to pay their employees for them. Needless to say, we’ll be moving to a different meal delivery app.

Good for consumers bad for dashers.. I have been both a consumer and dasher and it’s very convenient for a consumer if you are willing to pay the extra fee but it’s also hard to tip so much extra for the dasher to make it worth while. As a previous dasher I know that it is hard to even call it a side hustle. Most consumers are reluctant to leave a tip and when they do it’s minimal, but I understand as a consumer that it’s hard to pay a big tip when you order something and the price is twice as much as item you paid for just because door dash charges extra. Then you have you tile the driver because trust be they don’t make much without a tip. Please tip big for these dashers if they do a good job so there is more value in it. Remember, door dah doesn’t pay for gas, insurance, maintenance or anything. Yes dashers get a tax write off but it’s not exactly the same. Also, if you are a dasher you may want to try instacart instead if it is popular in your city. Especially in the winter. It’s pays better and it keeps you more active throughout the day. I made way more doing instacart when I was trying both. Around $20 and hour. Again you are an independent contractor so you can get write offs. I personally wrote off all of my taxes as a instacarter and make about 40,000 a year gross income.

2nd time SHAME ON ME. My first time using Door Dash was on Thursday and my family and I were so excited that our favorite restaurant was on the list. I was studying for an exam, my husband works the night shift and my daughter works from home. We just didn’t want to leave the house and figured trying Door Dash for the first time was a good idea. We placed the order and the food came according to the time anticipated. One problem...food was missing and the side items were wrong. I sent feedback and they applied credit but because the restaurant is always busy I waited an hour so I still had to go to the restaurant and pay more money. I waited 2 days later to give them another chance but a new restaurant and the same problem...my husband food was missing. I checked the order with the dasher and said my husband’s order was not in there. I sent another complaint they applied a credit again. Customer service number showed up on my caller ID twice but each time they hung up before I answered so I called them and explained the inconvenience and I didn’t want another credit but they need to test their system before offering to customers. I’m deleting the app and will use my own car to pick up my food..itnwas a waste of time and money to use their service. Save your money/time and be your own dasher!!!

Jim from Gainesville Florida. I scored this app really high because the app makes it very easy for people who do not drive to be able to appreciate the different stores businesses and restaurants and others in our community. I’ve also used the DoorDash out of state, and in other localities around Florida. My only concern is that number one they closed their ADA or assistance for people disabilities line and that is kind of challenging. When I need to get help with something. Also when updates happen frequently I find that I have to call customer service and work with someone who is definitely interested in helping but may not always have strong English skills. So we spend a lot of the call explaining what the problem is and how it might affect the blind community especially uses this app and I would hope that you would work more closely with the organizations American Council of the blind national Federation of the blind and their affiliates that work with technology do you continue to make this app even more accessible and inclusive. I gave you a four. But please know that if you are able to fix some of these loose ends and be a little more inclusive of your body visually impaired and reading customers I will review five stars. Thanks for a great app let’s just make it just a little bit better. I’m dictating this so please forgive any errors.

Excellent service but very expensive. DoorDash is an excellent service to have, especially that it broadens the number of restaurants that one can get delivered from. The only drawback is its very high price. I understand that it's a business, and you have to make a profit. But it does make DoorDash the kind of thing one will only do maybe once every few months, and when in a certain mood and flush with funds and otherwise desperate and don't want to shop and/or prepare food. I will say that the customer service, based out of San Francisco I think, is absolutely excellent -- if you're having a problem, they will solve it, whether that means cancelling a request that never came and crediting your account, or changing a request, or getting in touch with a hard-to-reach delivery person. This, for me, sets DoorDash apart from other modern web-based services -- particularly Uber (not UberEats -- I've never used that, so I don't know). On the whole, I'd say it's an excellent luxury, but one has to be prepared to pay for it. Also, on more than one occasion, the driver cancelled AFTER he'd picked up my food -- in every case, Door Dash took care of it -- but it's still a pain in the neck -- they should have to suffer real consequences when they do that -- like a month where you can't work for Door Dash.

DoorDash is becoming horrible - do not use. We had back to back instances where we placed an order and the first order we got the complete wrong order yet we were still charged our full order of $75 even though we didn’t get it. Then we get a drop off for someone else’s order and it was about $18 but clearly the wrong order and because the dasher took a photo in front of our house they denied the claim (even though we took a picture of the wrong order that was dropped off to us). When we tried to tell them and show them the photos of the wrong order with someone else’s name and not even close $ amount they still denied it and then we had to appeal it again. This is our 3rd time trying to appeal a refund that should have been processed correctly. When you call there is ‘no one’ in that department that you can talk to and the supervisors are helpless they say ‘they have a process to follow’ and that we should get an update within 24-48 hours and if not for us to call back and do the same song and dance. It is crazy to me that a company can mess up, not take responsibility even when there is physical proof that they messed up. The second order they just completely forgot an item and the dashers, or store doesn’t take responsibility. Ultimately we intend to stop using DoorDash completely as they have become really horrible. You’re better off going to pick up your food these days. Or use GrubHub or UberEats.

Assignment of Dashers. I’m not sure how this works, but I’ve faced this issue innumerable times. So my user journey is - I check out the food/restaurant on doordash -> order food from the resto -> order is placed -> money deducted (all good till here) -> I see an ETA -> And now a dasher is assigned (which I see) -> So the dasher makes it a point to not pay heed to the ETA and bring food anytime after that. I am a human and I crave food when hungry. And that is why app like Doordash exist because of the craving and the ease to answer my craving. And when that is not satisfied, trouble begins and I write a review. So my problem is 1.) How come dashers change mid-way : is it like they bring food and in mid-way ‘Tony (namesake, the dasher who was assigned)’ met ‘Frank(new dasher)’ and they exchanged my food mid way and now Frank comes. 2.) Many times I receive my food cold. Why? If the taxes are not sufficient increase them but bring my food ‘hot’. Please. 3.) The dashers are always assigned to multiple pick-ups and no wonder food turns up cold - kindly make an algorithm so that a dasher pertains to not more than ‘3’ orders else the customer has to eat stone-cold food. 4.) Tips - I earlier used to give them, but once I started receiving stone cold food I stopped and I am afraid what else can I do. I want convenience and thanks to you I am getting that but not at the cost of delayed and cold food. Apologies but I should have voiced this out earlier.

Scam of the Century. This last time ordering was probably my last time. I dont enjoy expecting issues every time i come back and give doordash another chance. I dont know exactly what the scam is for the people who work for this app, but somehow every time i order no matter how simple it is, theres an issue. I ordered a couple sodas? It took an hour to get to me. How does the dasher get assigned to my order, they go sit at a location for 30 minutes and then once i finally message and asked whats up then they start coming this way? What do they gain from being assigned the order and never going to get it? I dont understand! It cost me $20 to get some sodas that took an hour to get to me from half a mile away. This app is supposed to be about convenience but i would have rather gone and got the stuff myself. Why am i paying so much for “convenience” when its the most inconvenient situation every single time. The amount of times i have gotten only half my order and the dasher says “the store” didnt give it to them…. yeah ok. Not to mention!!! The MULTIPLE times a dasher has inappropriately messaged me after the order and one was trying to see if i was alone after i had rejected their advances. As if they were going to attack me without my consent if i was alone?? And when i told doordash about it they did not a thing. Im so done with this app and the absolute scam it is. Good luck to everyone else who wants to pay $20 for sodas that take an hour to get there. I'm over it.

DoorDash is the inferior delivery service. This is my first time making a review but I really have to say that DoorDash has been the worst experience with delivery services I have ever had, I would give it 1 star but I don’t want to be super petty over issues that probably only happened to fewer people. I have been scammed MULTIPLE TIMES by DoorDash. My order sometimes won’t arrive and nobody would get back to me for hours on end even when I call them! I managed to get a refund once, and they issued it like 6 weeks after the incident when it barely mattered anymore. On top of that, the times that they actually do deliver my order it comes SO LATE, and I know this may be on the dasher but things are almost always missing. Dashpass is nearly useless and doesn’t really do much. In all honesty I would recommend Uber eats, they deliver too soon sometimes and after my first experience with them I never used DoorDash again. I don’t know what to suggest, but maybe DoorDash needs to make it easier to maintain contact with them if the dasher is bad, they need to give refunds faster and maybe add a speed delivery feature like Uber eats. Instead of DoorDash I recommend Uber eats. In fact id probably sooner order from Instacart or shipt than DoorDash. I say all this respectfully, no hate to the developers it’s a well made app, but I just can’t stand how aloof the workers that manage it are when it comes to reports. Uber eats for the win!

Worst delivery and customer service ever!!Do not use!!. I have been a frequent door dash user and over the last month there customer service and service has been an absolute nightmare! The last 6 orders I've had with them have all been missing main entrees, sides and orders as well as items being made incorrectly even though I specify exactly what I ordered which I understand it's food service but when you haven't ate dinner an you order food you expect to receive the food you ordered and if you do not then I expect either for the order be corrected or a refund but after calling this last time because my order was missing 5things and the rest was made wrong. This order was 40 bucks for taco bell and when I got in touch with customers service they were rude and said that I have reached my limit on refunds. Which makes no since I didnt have to have a refund I just wanted what I paid for and if that's not possible then I wanted a refund for it and they stated they couldn't do wither and that there was no supervisor and no help at all. Deanna was the customer supports name and she was horrible. I refuse to pay for something I did not receive!! That's theft basically this is ridiculous an I will never us this service again!!

Good service, weird app function. Getting food delivered through doordash is really nice but the app is just very clunky and dysfunctional. Also a lot of the times it’s not very transparent about costs which is not a big deal for me but could be hard on someone with a strict budget. I dont think advertising “no delivery fee” but charging a 15 dollar “service fee” is an honest practice. Recently I’ve been struggling with the substitution feature when ordering groceries because you’re unable to edit them before/during the shopping process when you used to be able to do both. The substitutions also started to auto save, so once you set a preference it no longer asks you what you would like to substitute that item with. Unfortunately that means if you accidentally choose a substitution which you find out isn’t what you’re looking for one week, it means you will constantly get that same item delivered whenever they are out of your regular. Super frustrating and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Not only that, but the help function is utterly useless as there’s no actual customer service involved or customization capabilities. You’re able to ask like five questions and all of the answers to every question are “sorry no,” and none of the questions even vaguely apply to your problem. I also am having trouble with the chat feature, as I will send a message to the dasher and it will be marked as delivered and then if I leave the app the message will disappear. Weird, weird, weird app.

Ratings seem off.. let’s dive in. So I’ll be brief, DoorDash obviously the “cheaper alternative” if we must pick a delivery service app , but it makes 0 sense to see a 4.8 star-rating in App Store when everyone is deleting the app and using Uber eats/ASAP/etc.. I used to love DoorDash, had about 2-3 accounts at one point, as a dagger and customer. I only support applications who practice integrity for their users, this app did not do that. It isn’t support’s fault, they are just people like us who have normal jobs… what’s frustrating is trying to explain why you need a $20-$30 refund for a meal you either never received or was incorrect…. How hard is it to refund customers when your app has millions of users… the company has to do better it is going down hill, even the competitor apps don’t tell you “ your order isn’t eligible for refund.” I actually ordered from Sonic like we always do, not even a meal just some milkshakes etc… it’s about 7 mins from my house but I don’t have a car so it’s 20-30 min walk… nevertheless, I was contacted by a dasher and they said Sonic was out of 1/3 items I ordered, so I asked that they refund me credits to use immediately in app because I knew the refund would be some days…. I get a message from support saying my order isn’t eligible for refund or credits, and they also cancelled my order at Sonic. Great app right? Lol this app is a gimmick, use others: trust me

Fixing Bugs Just Don’t Seem to Be A Priority. There’s an ongoing issue with the app where if a merchant requires a certain amount of sub selections for an item (for example 2), selecting the first item will add that max number of items. This shows that the requirement has been met. After this chaos ensues: - If you click Add To Order, you get an error that says “Whoops Please select at least options for .” - If you attempt to choose an additional item, the additional item is selected but both items are set to 0 selections meaning the requirement is not met. The only other option is to click the plus icon (+) for one of the items. When you do this the app crashes. I’m not giving 1 star because the issue exists. Bugs happen and I understand this. I’m giving 1 star because DoorDash has made it seemingly prohibitive to report it. - You can’t report technical issues via the app. - Attempts to Report a Problem via the App Store just directs you to DoorDash’s website. - Attempting to report the issue through the App Support option takes you to Apple’s website where there’s a different link to DoorDash’s website. This link, however, requires a full login. I should not have to work this hard to report a bug that effectively prevents me from ordering from some restaurants. Maybe a review will bubble to someone that can get this bug fix prioritized for DoorDash customers. Either way, this experience definitely devalues paying for a DashPass for me.

Horrible Customer Experience!!. To whom ever it may concern, I had waited for over an hour and a half to two hours for my food before I fell asleep. I did already understand that it was going to be a long wait because of the event going on near my location, but what ended up happening was not great. Initially, someone by the name of James B was supposed to retrieve my food and deliver it to me. However, as I waited for last few minutes until the food was supposed to be at my door, within the last ten minutes or so, my deliverer changed without even notifying me, and I personally think that is an absolute inconvenience, and resulted in horrible customer experience, especially when it will significantly change your delivery time. After noticing the change in deliverers, I then found out that I would have to wait another hour to hour and a half. By that point, I was irritated and frustrated because I was really looking forward to that meal and was also extremely tired. I would’ve wished that I could’ve received either a full or partial refund, because my night definitely let down. If o would’ve known this could’ve happened, I would’ve just ordered through elsewhere. And how in the initial email are you going to tell customers that they can respond to that email, “ Please don't hesitate to respond to this email if you have any questions or concerns.” Then, once we hit send all of a sudden we can’t respond to that email..... I’ll be removing this app from my device.

It’s okay. I love the variety of options on this app, but there are so many frustrating things about the app itself. I’m not going to talk about the over priced tips, or how you have to tip before you even receive your order which can’t change if you’re dasher is great or crappy. There isn’t even a comment section to give feedback on the dashers because I know a few have eaten some of my food while delivering it to me. The “your favorites” section of the app is crap because it has restaurants on there that I had once and hated. Not only is there no option to actually add a your favorite, there’s no way to remove them from the section. Every time I go to “your favorites” that place is always the first in line which is also very irritating. If a restaurant is closed on a day you look for it, it shows up as “no result” even though I can go through my previous orders and find it that way. I will say I am appreciative of how responsive the support team is if the restaurant messes up, or the driver hands off the my food to someone else. They are quick with a refund, but they don’t refund your tip even if the driver doesn’t do what he is being paid to do. I would be a much happier customer if the issues surround the “your favorites” section was fixed and the drivers could be held accountable for their mistakes.

Love DoorDash…but MANY order issues. 1st, let me say, I do LOVE DoorDash. Very convenient, especially during this never ending Covid pandemic. I am immunocompromised & have to take immune suppressing drugs daily due to a rare condition..and I live in a state with 1 of the lowest vaccination rates..and I live less than 30 minutes from 1 of our state’s “hotspots” so..very helpful for me. DoorDash customer service is awesome. Most of the drivers I’ve encountered are super nice. So why the 3 stars right? I would estimate that 1 out of every 3 orders I place has an issue. I haven’t used the app in many months because 5 (FIVE!!) orders in a row had issues! Not minor issues either…items left out, items substituted (without contacting me and/or confirming I was ok with it), food completely wrong, etc). And I’m often ordering for my 6 yr old, who has a sensory disorder/ADHD/anxiety/dyspraxia so she often gets upset and..it’s just frustrating because it’s all completely avoidable IMO. As I said, customer service is wonderful & helps resolve issues..but I’m still left without the items I needed/wanted, still have to get them & also take the time to get in touch with customer service & work on a resolution. Who really wants to do all of that more often than not when ordering?? I would truthfully use another service if one was available in my area. Just to avoid the hassle. But, again, DoorDash itself is wonderful 🤷‍♀️

Terrible Customer Service. Multiple times my delivery was taken to the wrong house and the wrong address, despite checking multiple times that I provided the correct address. I contacted an agent at one point to address this issue, and they offered me no resolution and stated they provided the drivers with the correct address. It got to the point where I had to contact each individual driver while they were driving to give them directions to avoid my food being taken to the wrong place. I got tired of this, so I stopped using their delivery. Then today I placed an order for pick-up and the app confirmed the restaurant was contacted. When I arrived 30 plus minutes later on my lunch break to pick up the food, the restaurant told me they received my order but were told by DoorDash they “could not make it until DoorDash calls and confirms.” I didn’t have time to sit for them to make it so I cancelled the order, and did not get to eat lunch on my break. When I contacted DoorDash, they acted as if this was not a big deal or their issue since they refunded the order. They told me they “emailed” the store. Clearly there was miscommunication between both DoorDash and the restaurant, however, DoorDash took no responsibility and did not offer any sort of compensation for their mistake. Also, they never contacted me to let me know there was an issue reaching the restaurant in the first place. I’ll never use this app again. Plus, it’s ridiculously expensive.

Customer Service Reps.. The customer service representatives for Door Dash are horrible. Door Dash had cancelled my order and said they would immediately refund me. I noticed there was no refund a day later. I got in contact with their customer support and I had to go through 4 different representatives in order to finally get my refund. The first reps name was Ruth and she automatically told me the timeframe has passed for my refund and that my Door Dasher left my orders in a safe place. I then showed her screenshots of the notification from Door Dash saying the order was cancelled by Door Dash. She then continues to say that the food was dropped off when in fact it was a Vicks Vapor Rub. I was in the middle of explaining to her that the driver as well said the product was not available and they would refund me back and she ended the chat. I reopened the chat and got a different person, she told me the same thing and ended the chat without asking if they had resolved my issue. I then got a third person and she then sent me to another person. So y’all can see my frustration with their customer service. I got the fourth person and they said they would give me credits, but going through all that I wasn’t sure I would even order from Door Dash cause if they couldn’t give me a simple refund for an order that they cancelled, then what am I to expect. Very frustrating and it was such a hassle to get a refund. It took about 21 minutes of back and forth.

Malfunction in the process. Not thrilled that most recently I placed an order and we waited for about an hour and 15 minutes before I had to finally reach out and find out where our order was. I spoke with the driver who told me that he was in Dover which is a good half hour away from us. He said he showed up to the restaurants address that door dash gave him and that there was no restaurant there. So he advised he was going to contact door Dash and then get back to me. I never heard back from him, what I did get was an email from door Dash apologizing but my order had been canceled. When I contacted door Dash they told me that sometimes the restaurant will cancel the order because they are too busy. That makes sense. However these two stories don’t match, The driver is telling me one story and door dash is telling me another. I would assume if the restaurant is not taking any additional orders that they would have the ability to turn off door Dash prior to someone either a going through the time to make the order or b waiting for the door dash driver to arrive. I also didn’t understand that after the mistake was made it was still showing as though I could order through subway on the app??? Why would they still leave it up if it’s not an option? Not really sure what happened this is the first time we’ve ever had a problem with door Dash but I can tell you this much it was definitely not handle the way that I would expect to have been handled.

Food Delivery Services have Killed the Hospitality Sector. This app is trash, but probably as trash or a little better than other food delivery services which are an abject failure as a concept, at least from a consumer standpoint - otherwise a genius and incredibly lucrative business venture. The system totally removes accountability from businesses and drivers alike to ensure food is made and delivered in an adequate amount of time, in an adequately presented way, with adequate quality and at adequate prices. DoorDash - though I’m sure it’s not exclusive to them - believe they can charge a service fee on top of a delivery fee and still allow drivers to make more than one delivery so your food arrives lukewarm, and get around it by offering a premium service. Create the problem. Offer the solution. It is ingenious business, but disgusting humanity. Alas these a deeper problems than just one bad delivery service. I just hope enough people wake up to this reality to stand against it. People power can always prevail.

Terrible service and support. The delay and customer support I experienced was completely unacceptable and misleading. Prior to 2pm I made the initial order with an estimated arrival time of 2.20pm. At 2.40pmI enquired about the status of the order with one of your customer service representatives. He informed me that the order had left the store and would be arriving by 3pm and that I would be provided with a full refund of my order in addition to receiving the order. At 3.05pm I once again had to enquire about the status of my order. This time I was informed that the order had not been picked up from the store and that there was a “technical issue” with contacting the driver and tracking the order. A new driver was assigned to pickup and deliver the order. At 3.31pm I once again had to enquire about the status of my order. This time I was informed that the order had been cancelled by the new driver because of another “technical issue”. I was informed that a new order could not be reinstated and that a request for compensation would be put through. I then had to make and pay for another order myself which finally arrived at 4.20pm. No response via email either.

LOVE. I love love LOVE how DoorDash greets its new customers with a free delivery fee for their first order. DoorDash is simple and reliable if you need a meal for dinner or if your kids have their friends over and you aren’t able to cook or drive to get the take out. The delivery is speedy and always packaged nicely, the drivers are always positive and deliver the food with care. Door dash is my favourite food ordering app, the app isn’t hard to use and it’s very straight forward, usually I’m always iffy with ordering food online but with DoorDash, I know I can rely on them! They are always so thoughtful when something happens to the delivery. They truely care for their customers and it’s something you don’t see very often. If there was an option for more then 5 stars, it’d definitely be giving more.

They commit fraud and theft. I subscribed to DashPass (the month to month subscription service) and they charged me 6.times in a single month as well as multiple charges in other months too. When I contacted support, they told me this was a mistake and I'd be contacted. I was never contacted and it's never been rectified by them. They charged me $120 for about three months membership. This company also on numerous occasions has refused to provide me with a refund for items I paid for but never received. They have a policy to prevent people from claiming excessive refunds - however, I wouldn’t have been claiming excessive refunds if they had…. delivered the food that I ordered for? They essentially punish customers for their own poor and faulty service. I also feel that refusing to process refunds for undelivered services or goods is a clear violation of fair trading act and customer rights - as this is straight up theft. I also offered to provide them with photo evidence to show they have delivered the entirely wrong order to my home (they delivered me a meat meal when I am vegan and ordered a vegan meal) and they still refused.

A complete scam, $1 delivery is a lie. They say you can get $1 delivery for a month as a kind of welcome to being a new customer with them (on the app it comes up as a pop up) I tried to place my second order order expecting to get $1 delivery fee but they wanted to charge me the full rate so I contacted DoorDash support via live chat and the agent just wasted my time. It says on their T&Cs itself that new customers get $1 delivery for a month. The agent kept asking me to provide a screenshot of this when it’s literally there on the site?? And then he told me to go through with the order and when the promotion didn’t come through then to contact them. Why should I pay full amount for delivery when I was told before I’d get it for $1? They’re just trying to rip you off!!!! The agent himself just tried to deceive me and relied on me not knowing what’s on the T&Cs but I had read it and ended up taking a screenshot from the site and sent it. Don’t fall for their trap!! Just go with some other food delivery service.

A complete joke. Atrocious refund/compensation policy. I recently had a completely traumatic experience with one of the stores on the DoorDash app and they offered to refund the amount for the individual items that were affected and only once pushed a $5 inconvenience payment. Mind you I had to drive to the restaurant to work out what had happened after they refused to answer the phones to find out that I had been provided with meat meals instead of vegetarian because they had run out. They hadn’t tried to contact me as I had specifically opted for when placing my order rather than letting the restaurant substitute or cancel in the case that my items were not available. The store insisted that DoorDash doesn’t provide them with my details. They didn’t write anything on the bag, have the dasher tell me, place the meat in a seperate box so I could choose to have it or not, they didn’t just send me a salad wrap or do any of the other logical things you would do when someone orders vegetarian items. They put the crumbed meat in the meals and said nothing and hoped we wouldn’t notice until we went down to the restaurant to complain! I had literally never once eaten any meat in my life until that moment! Beyond furious with the entire situation, the way everyone has handled this and the absolute lack of hospitality that’s been shown throughout! I left a review on DoorDash for the store and it hasn’t even been posted!! It’s been like 5 days!

Order never came and DoorDash refused to issue refund. Placed order 8:50am, delivery person don’t answer phone call don’t reply messages and order never came. The delivery person just took my order and disappeared on this planet. I try to contact DoorDash claim for refund but they only issue credit. Then I tried to call customer service, they apologized on the phone but they can’t issue refund so transferred me to someone called specialist - after 20min of waiting I finally got through to the specialist to claim for my refund, and guess what - the specialist said “bare with me for a few minutes” and he hang up the phone straight away. They refused to issue refund but only credit so that customer would have to keep on use their app. But don’t do so!!! Because with DoorDash, THE DELIVERY GUY CAN TAKE UR ORDER AWAY WITHOUT PAYING ANYTHING, this is their DOORDASH COMPANY RULE. If you chose to use DoorDash, be prepared that you WON’T receive your order, and you still will have to pay.

Never using DoorDash again. So many better options. Many issues with missing items or over an hour deliveries but this last one was where I drew the line. Had a call after 40 minutes of ordering my meal, it was the driver who asked how I ordered when the store was closed? As if it was my fault? Anyways, I contacted support and they first offered me a $2 refund… mind you this order was $25. I couldn’t believe it and said I would like my full refund since I’m clearly not getting my order that I ordered. Support said it could take up to 24hrs for approval for whatever reason and asked if I would like it back as my original method of payment or credits. Obviously I was done with DoorDash so I said my original method of payment which was my card payment.I’ve just received it completely back in credits… what an absolute joke. Please just use Uber eats, they’re way more reliable. I wish I could 0 star this.

Absolutely Awful. I have gotten three orders from Doordash, all from the same restaurant and all within two weeks. The first order was completely wrong- why should I spend extra money to not even receive the order i customised? The next order was over an hour late and when I looked at the map I saw my dasher was heading in the complete wrong direction and staying in random areas for no reason for up to ten minutes at a time. I got compensated for this by Doordash support who gave my a $5 voucher that would be available for up to two weeks after receiving it however when i went to use it a day after receiving it it said it was no longer available. I tried to contact support about this, waiting over ten minutes to be able to chat to customer support (despite the website saying support is available to chat in under three minutes) only for the person i was chatting with to end the conversation whilst i was writing down my problem. My third and what will be my final order from Doordash, the driver is continuing to travel further and further west from the restaurant when i live north of it, thus making this order over an hour late. I have tried to contact them yet they are still heading away from my home. Not to mention compared to other food apps, such as deliveroo and menulog, the delivery time, fees, and order minimums are much worse. I will stick to menulog.

Worst delivery app ever. First, the delivery guy was not willing to drive closer to the door and was asking the customer to walk across the roundabout to get the meal on his own .... in the rain!!! If I wanted to walk in the rain I wouldn’t have called for delivery. Second, the customer service promised to refund the whole amount within 7 working days. But it’s already 3 weeks, and I have to call to find out that they couldn’t issue it for me. So if I didn’t ask, they think they can just ignore the whole refund thing. Third, the whole system is nonsense. They have my reference number, and the store number, but they just cannot contact the store for their customer. THE CUSTOMER HAS TO DO IT ON HIS OWN!!!!! There is no point of the whole customer service department existing since there is no single service will be provided. And then the last, when the customer service feels not happy, THEY END THE CONVERSATION STRAIGHT UP!!!!!! Best app to use if you want to experience hypertension and stroke, because I think I’m having one after talking to them :)

DOORDASH HAS FELL OFF.. Door dash used to be the go to app for food delivery until the drivers started eating my food, dropping it off at the wrong house, not answering my calls then door dash does nothing about it. Ordered from a kebab place, 60$ for 3 times ehh who cares BUT I do care IF THE 15$ NAAN BREAD IS MISSING AND THEY DROPPED IT OFF IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AREA THEN MY HOUSE so I had to tread through the night looking around like a creep just for my door dash delivery. I’m starting to use Uber now because I’ve noticed instead of the over 45 minutes wait time JUST to get a driver, Uber has already delivered it. The Uber driver dropped it at the wrong location last week so I called Uber they gave me a full refund yet door dash gave me 2 dollar CREDIT to my next order like hell I’m ordering with them again. USE UBER! I have many stories about how bad door dash is as a food delivery app but this one, this one knocked me over the edge and I am NOT happy about it.

Always missing food. Never wanting to refund.. I frequently have food missing from my order, or it’ll arrive cold as the drivers are incompetent and take 30-50+ minutes to deliver my food. I’ve gotten refunds on a few occasions, but recently they’ve been escalating it under review and only offering me credits, or just straight up declining my refund requests. I feel like i’ve been flagged as suspicious or something when I wouldn’t try to refund my orders if they arrived complete? I spent 50$ on a hungry jacks order tonight and my driver had a drop off along the way, so my food arrived cold. It was also missing my 10pc nuggets which was supposed to go to my toddler as she doesn’t eat burgers. They declined my refund request and I now have to wait 24 hours to probably just be declined again. Every time I order it arrives cold, or incomplete, it feels like a waste of money every single time I order.

THE WORST FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE. So disappointing. Hoping to support a small local restaurant, I used DoorDash to order dinner for my family. As the time for it to arrive came and went I discovered that the order had been cancelled by the driver. I called the restaurant and the lovely owner told me that the driver had been - for lack of a better word - a jerk who cancelled the order after not wanting to wait five minutes for the order to be completed. I contacted DoorDash and they were completely unhelpful. Thankfully I was able to sort it out with the restaurant directly but it was not their fault and they shouldn’t have had to do anything. I picked it up myself which made DoorDash entirely pointless. The small business would’ve been short a bit of money too had I not picked it up which isn’t fair on them either. The help desk was completely ridiculous at DoorDash and all seemed to be very generated responses that weren’t helpful to my situation at all. Use literally any other delivery service.

never using again. I ordered a small meal (2 go buckets&2 drinks) from kfc murdoch at around 11:20am, The Doordash driver Accepted my order whilst being no where near the restaurant, my order was made in around 10 minutes, expecting to arrive around 11:40 which i didnt mind, however at 12 i looked at my drivers location noticing it hasnt moved from where he was when he accepted it, i then messaged my driver asking why he hasnt picked it up yet, and why he would accept it when he wasnt even near the restaurant. he changed the status to he picked it up coincidentally as i messaged it, then i checked my estimated arrival time being 12:30pm. he arrive around that time with my food being cold. as he was driving i watched his location the whole time, didnt go to the restaurant, went the LONG WAY, to my delivery destination. i then proceeded to complain to doordash’s customer support which i had to make an account just to do so. I expalined what happened and they simply “noted down my feedback” and cant do anything further. Im extremely disappointed and would still like my money back on behalf of doordash as kfc wasnt the problem here and had my food ready in a quick amount of time. never using doordash thru any service again, would much rather walk or drive.

Do not use this service!!!. I ordered a meal for delivery and after 1:30 I decided to ask why it kept being delayed. I was then advised the restaurant was closed by the delivery driver. When I contacted door dash I was told the restaurant closed. I was not offered an apology and then advised I was not charged. I was made to provide a screen shot of my transaction to prove I was charged. They then advised they would refund me the wrong amount for a completely irrelevant transaction which also appeared on the screen shot I sent them. I advised they were incorrect and they eventually figured it out. They then said I would get an email approving my refund. I never got the email or a refund. This is not the only issue I have had with door dash. There help service is appalling. If you use this app I hope you don’t have any issues because if you do have an issue they will not help you. I will be contacting consumer affairs about other issues I’ve had with the app as I have been charged incorrectly and they refused to help me with this advising it is not their transaction despite my bank advising it is them as well as the transaction having the exact seem details as the other door dash transactions. Im really angry and quite upset that they have not helped me with a genuine problem that was their fault. I asked to speak with a manager a dozen times and advised a manager would call me which they never did. I’ve even sent emails with no response. Absolutely disgusting service.

Not worth your time. They will accept orders without checking if there is a dasher, make customers wait for 1 hour or more, keep increasing ETA without any deadline and ultimately cancel. These are repeated incidents with DoorDash which have left me extremely frustrated and unhappy with their service. I have been unwell past few days and have had to rely on food delivery, but they have managed to make food order painful and make me question my choices. The account executives and customer support staff has little to no empathy, they don’t understand that when you have already waited for 90 mins for food, and are told that ‘It’s not our policy to refund money, but in this case we’ll make an exception’, it just tells customers how less you care about the goal of your company. Please don’t join food delivery companies if you don’t care whether your end customers get their food or not!

Poor management service. Please trust me DO NOT ORDER FORM THIS APP unless you want you food on next day from the day you place your order😒 no like I am not even exaggerating it right now. I order from a restaurant at 12 pm today and this restaurant is like on 5 min drive from my home and it’s been 4 hours and I still haven’t got my food. I mean I can’t even imagine my driver literally went from Dandenong to Nobel park to deliver first rather than give in my order first which is just 5 mins away. It’s not the fault of driver because they don’t get the information about second delivery until they finish they first one. It’s PURELY DOORDASH’S fault they literally sent him to Nobel park first to deliver rather than to finish the Dandenong delivery first. I mean seriously???😒😒 is this a joke? FYI this is not the first time happened with me this the second chance which I gave them but still failed. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!🥺

WORST DELIVERY SERVICE EVER. I have tried all of the delivery services and I’ve had some poor experiences from a number, however nothing could quite top this experience I had with Door Dash last night. I’m sure we have all been there after a long day of work you get home, am starving and don’t even care what you decide on you just want something delivered ASAP. Well I ordered a pizza last night for dinner, it said it should take around 20-30 mins. After probably 25 mins I get a call from someone from door dash saying that my order needs to be cancelled as the restaurant is closed. I asked “well why am I only being told this now? How did the restaurant accept my order 25 minutes ago if they were closed?” The woman on the phone replied “I don’t know, I just need to cancel this order.” Fuming at the thought of having to WAIT ANOTHER HALF AN HOUR FOR FOOD, I responded “well what about me, the customer? Do you care about the customer or do you just care about cancelling my order?” And the line went dead. Ubereats have pretty poor customer service but I’d pick them any day over this pathetic excuse of a company.

Would not recommend. I ordered a meal from McDonald’s about 15min before their closing time (I usually don’t order this late to a place’s closing time but my friend had yet to eat anything so I was going to order some food for them). The order was accepted and I was told it would take up to roughly 40min which is fine. I waited roughly 10min before changing my mind and wanting to cancel the order out of fear that it was too close to closing time for them only for DoorDash to tell me that they would not refund me because the restaurant had already accepted and started making my order, so I thought oh well, it should be fine then. 20 more minutes go by of us waiting and the order was suddenly cancelled??? Why accept the order in the first place only to cancel it so late afterwards!? We couldn’t even order from any other place by then either as by the time 30min had passed every other available place was only 5min from closing and we didn’t want to risk waiting another half hour for another cancellation. Terrible customer service, never using this app again

wish i could give it 0 stars. Absolutely horrible customer support, i order food and after the driver f*caked around for ages he finally dropped my order off, only for it to be completely wrong, i took a photo of my receipt and a photo of the order and put in a request as it was obviously not my order i received, and it instantly got declined, so i spoke to a customer support person who told me the exact same thing the robot did and kept changing when i’d expect a reply (3hrs to 24hrs). i’ve now lost my money and am stuck with a literal stone cold order (the wrappings were literally stuck to the wrap from the wrong order and the chips were actually hard and chewy) i’ve had issues with doordash in the past not helping when orders have been wrong and decided to give you guys another chance, i regret that now. do better, seriously, and stop scamming your customers.

Order was never delivered. Customer support did nothing. Recently, I placed an order from DoorDash. I was waiting for the order and when I try to track the order through the order tracking facility in the app it showed that the order was delivered. However, I never received the order when I try to reach Support, they were of no use and no amends were taken. My order was for almost $70. It was not refunded back. Neither did I receive my food I feel helpless. Please let me know. How can you solve this. The date of the order was 01-feb-2023. The order was from Mirch masala. Name of the Dasher was Luis apparently the Dasher as told that the order was delivered. When I tried to call him he did not receive my calls. I have dropped him messages and he has not answered any of them, and in the tracking, he was nowhere close to my delivery address. Still DoorDash refuses to help. Never ordering from DoorDash again

BEWARE !!!!!. I ordered some food over the app. After placing the order, I got charged and after few mins, I got charged again and this time higher amount. Received an email from doordash saying my order has been adjusted on merchant’s recommendation. I mean like what the hell, how you are letting merchant to change my order without my input. Who at doordash came up with this idea and how did it make it to the app!!! It’s Beyond my understanding. Multiple issues here, merchant can change your order and charge you more, which is already bizarre but merchant can change your food dishes too which means you might end up receiving something that you are allergic to or you don’t like to eat. This is a food business doordash, nothing should change without customer manual input or confirmation. Get this right. I’m uninstalling this app cuz clearly these people aren’t capable of making right decision by customers and clearly favours merchants. Good bye doordash, never again!

Some adjustments needed. I have had some good experiences but honestly more than often I’ll get a situation where a Dasher will say they’re “picking up my order” which looks to be accurate, but then it will continue saying that they’re “picking up my order” while they’re driving in two, sometimes three different directions. Worst case I had once was a dasher who had said they were picking up my order and made FIVE seperate stops before finally chasing it to say “heading to you” and when my meal finally did arrive it was beyond cold. This has happened on so many occasions now, and the first time it happened it used to state if they were completing an order near by and that I understood, but now it seems that the dashers are just getting greedy and trying to take on as many orders as they can, never mind the impact that has on the person ordering. I’ve only had 1 case where there was a positive and when the original dasher left from the pick up spot they swapped them out for a new dasher and that one picked it up. However that was once and this is becoming a regular occurrence every time I make an order on this app. My only suggestion would be to give the option to cancel the Dasher, especially if they’re not stating they’re completing other orders near by, so it gives the person ordering the opportunity to get someone else more trusting to deliver.

Delivery cancellation at the last minute when waiting for 45 min and food was almost here. Very unsatisfied with this service, the last few times food has arrived cold, we haven’t complaint as we try to be understanding, however today our order was cancelled at the last minute after waiting for 45 minutes and when DoorDasher was almost 5 min away, we received a call saying our order had to be cancelled and payment would be refunded to our account straight away, then we got an e-mail saying saying that money would actually be refunded in the next 5-7 business days. Unacceptable and annoying as it was also an Easter present for my partner!

Various issues with first order. There were a number of issues with my first delivery. Some of these may have been caused by the restaurant (Zambrero) rather than DoorDash. The order arrived 30 minutes later than initially advised. Maybe there needs to be better synchronisation of estimates between DoorDash and restaurants. The food arrived cold. DoorDash did not include a standard option provided at the restaurant and by other ordering platforms (chicken as the protein option). The preferred (unlisted) option was specified in a comment. However this was either not provided to the restaurant, or ignored by the restaurant. In this instance some selected options were not available at the restaurant. A note on the delivered order stated that the restaurant was not able to contact me to discuss alternatives. There were no missed notifications or missed calls. Either DoorDash does not provide contact details to resolve order issues, or Zambrero did not attempt to use provided details. No refund was given for extra options that could not be provided. The App does not appear to provide sufficient options for reviewing the overall DoorDash experience and the restaurant (i.e. in addition to provided options for rating the driver, and noting issues with individual food items in the order).

Worst service ever. I ordered some items from a coles store, tipped the driver after the items had been ‘picked up from the store’ and on his way to my house he notified me that I had to cancel without a refund due to the shop being closed but it wasn’t when I ordered or when he chose that they had been picked up & there was an alternative coles open. He then reassigned my order to another driver who had no idea what was going on either. I couldn’t get a refund because he had accepted the job and marked it down that he had the items & was on his way to my house. The correspondence from the driver was horrible, I was left waiting for items for nearly 2 hours until someone finally sorted it out and issued a refund. I should have just driven myself but I guess that’s what you get for not doing things yourself. Won’t ever be using this app again & I’ve had a few people tell me similar stories about their experiences also like mine. Hire people who do their jobs and penalise them if they don’t! The least I could have gotten was correspondence as to what was going on instead of waiting without any information.

Don’t download this! It’ll ruin your day!. If you saw this, don’t download Doordash, don’t use Doordash. It is the worst delivery service ever!!! I downloaded Doordash when I saw it was high in the Apo store chart with high score. Now, I doubt the validity of the score. I ordered some food, and have to wait for over a hour to get a Dasher assigned! I tried to use the customer services chat to communicate my issue, but app crashes EVERYTIME! If you don’t want your customers to use the chat, don’t create this feature! Then I tried different buttons on the interface looking for some useful information to get refund! Next thing, I’m not sure which button did I accidentally pressed, the entire order was canceled! WITHOUT a confirmation alert!!! Literally the BASIC in the UI UX design! Unbelievable a app in the top list of Food in AppStore doesn’t have a confirmation alert. I swears within 1 second, the order got canceled, cancellation email sent, the entire interface changed. I wished my food can be delivered in such speed. After reading all other reviews, I decided not to contact the customer service, ruins the rest of my day!

New update is absalutely unprofessional. I have been using DoorDash for three years now and the new update makes it so that any report you put in about your food has to go through a worker and if they think your “lieing” or think your food was fine they can choose to not give you a refund at all. So sick of these people refunding good food and ruining it for the rest of us. My food came after an hour of the dasher driving aimlessly stone cold and missing a few items. I reported it and got no refund back because the doordash worker decided that hard and cold food isn’t a “good enough” reason. Plus I never got the money back for the items I litteraly didn’t receive. DoorDash has never been like this and was the whole reason why I stayed with DoorDash because they automatically gave you a refund if ANYTHING was wrong with your food. Now the workers are rude and untrusting of everyone

Use any other service. After consistently poor service - completely wrong orders delivered, food arriving more than 30 minutes after pick-up being cold and inedible, missing items, completely ludicrous substitutions - I was told I could not get a refund for food that arrived 20 minutes later than it should have and 35 minutes after it was picked up (it could not be reheated and was inedible). Their policy apparently states you are not entitled to a refund unless they make an exception. Because of asking for refunds previously (why should I pay for wrong/missing/inedible food?) I was not entitled to another. Instead of taking responsibility for poor service, they blame and punish the customer. I’m not even a Karen (although this review makes me sound like one), I order food to be delivered embarrassingly frequently and will be sticking to Uber Eats from now on. Their refunds take seconds to apply for and I’m already happy to provide proof of issues (I’m not a thief, despite being treated like one by door dash).

Worst app ever, do not download. This service is horrible, the customer service is horrible and so are the drivers. I ordered from them and not only was it late and I had ordered from the 30mins or $30 return part but aswell my special instructions said that I would not be able to leave my building therefore they need to come up. So this driver instead argued with me and was hostile, waited downstairs for 20 mins already as the food was another 20 minutes late after 30 minutes, as he then proceeded to call me and abuse me as too why I couldn’t leave my building to meet him? I waited 10 minutes too get a hold of customer service for them too say they will fix it and hang up. I got another hostile call from driver saying he left the place and left the food outside infront of building. The customer service did not as they said it is at location, regards the irony that there company is called door-dash. I had to ask a co-worker to go downstairs when they went down and checked everywhere the food was not there. Worst service, DO NOT USE! Better using ubereats or Menulog.

Don't recommend the app for Business. Typically, this has happened to my business alot. The features werent not accessible and hard to use especially you have any out of stock items. Secondly, for the confirmation time, our store hasnt opened yet and there are already orders waiting for us with very limited amount prep time. At the time we tried to confirm with longer prep time, the app didnt allow to show that and still keep the same prep time. This is non sense. Also for the issue with order, for some orders, the order is out of stock and it would be easy if the app would allow faster access to let customer know instead of calling customer.

The worst customer service ever never making any other orders. Not only do they fail to bring item that is missing but 8 …. They had replacement items there but not a courtesy phone call to ask if wanted replacements not even told they didn’t have the items but then it’s worse. They don’t even refund me a quarter of what is owed back to me but they decide what they are going to do with my money. So now need to wait a week over the holidays for the measly $3 which should have been much more in the first place but as I’m not well I’ve now spent the last of what I have so my dog doesn’t starve and yet again tomorrow will be ruined as senior management cannot be bothered to fix the issue now but I have to spend another few hours of my day with DoorDash again tomorrow …. To get what is mine in the first place. The amount of items that are wrong or don’t come with every single order I can’t be bothered ringing as nothing gets solved . They steal your money or give you measly credit so you are forced to order again. I don’t want to speak to DoorDash tomorrow to get them to give me what is mine and the way they have behaved as far as I’m concerned giving me the choice of yet this order leaving me with nothing left or the choice to let my dog starve. They are here to provide a particular service and that’s not even being done. You do not decide what to do with my money and if you run such a business don’t just hire people that have no clue just coz you get away with it.

Horrible customer service. I had for quite some time been a doordash customer and I was paying the membership. Despite problems with the app, showing restaurants as closed when they weren’t, showing everything as unavailable, and even showing all restaurants as pickup only, I still used the app. But recently I made a single order from two different restaurants, and I only got an order from one. I submitted a support receipt saying I didn’t get the order delivered, and their response was that I wasn’t getting a refund because I got too many recently. I only submitted a note saying I didn’t get my order, I hadn’t even asked for a refund, and they didn’t even ask what happened. Regarding the recent refunds on my account: two were because THE RESTAURANT cancelled, another was possibly because an order had a mix up (I didn’t submit for one). There was only one refund that I actually asked for was a mix up, and it was $9.

Have a read:. This is the second time this week I’ve received stale and cold food. The first time I placed my order it was to a restaurant 5 minutes away from my house so not a far drive, right. So I placed my order it said it would arrive within 30 minutes at the latest. 50min goes by and I call the dasher because I noticed on the order tracking he was driving all over the place and 20 minutes in the opposite direction to the restaurant. Then after and hour and 20min later I finally got a resolution from their customer service team and they said they’re sending a new driver to pick it up. I kid you not almost 2 hours later I get my order and it’s cold and stale completely inedible. They did credit me money but why did they not get them to remake the meal if they know how long ago it was ready to be picked up. Just so you can better understand my frustration by this point I have a meal I was unable to eat and couldn’t find any open restaurants because of the time. Tonight I have ordered again and my nachos is completely stale and not even warm with a side of cold churros 😌🤞

Drivers frequently go 2 suburbs in the wrong direction while order says "waiting to be picked up". Doordash have burned me a few times now with absurdly late, cold and soggy food as they stretch drivers to their absolute limits with multiple deliveries at once. The absolute WORST part about this is that they will be right next to the restaurant and will then proceed to drive a whole suburb away without actually picking up the order from the counter, do some other delivery, and then come back... all without the app telling you this is happening. All you see is them driving to what seems like a completely different city then eventually back to collect your now cold food which has been waiting this entire time. Countless times now a 14-19 minute order has become 50 minutes - 1.5h and cold because of this greedy practice and order tracker that lies about what is going on to save face. I am at least grateful that support understand the frustration and will compensate for extreme scenarios.

Disappointing customer service. I am giving a 1 star review, not only because I'm not able to use the app due to an issue with my address not being recognised as valid, but also because when I called to see if this issue could be rectified, I was spoken to very rudely, was told they could do nothing to fix the issue and was then hung up on by the apparently senior assistant I was speaking to. Very poor customer service experience. He wouldn’t listen to what I was trying to say. My address is not out of range, it’s impossible in my town to be out of range of a restaurant when they’re all 2-10 minutes away from my house. I asked if it could be looked into further, as my street is the only street in town that gets the delivery address error that I know of, and when I asked that, he hung up on me. Every street around mine can get DoorDash, something in your system needs to be fixed.

Really good! One small problem, though.. DoorDash is great, I find it to be better than all the other food delivery apps. Drivers are assigned quicker, customer service is good and there are a good amount of discounts available. Heck, I got a $5 voucher as an apology from a customer service worker! Sweet! The only thing is, grocery orders can be frustrating. This is not entirely DoorDash’s fault though as supermarkets should not be advertising items that are unavailable. The problem I have is when you order meat or produce from a supermarket that is charged per kilo (instead of per individual item), you are always charged for your order twice. This is because the first price you see when you first choose what you’re after is only an estimate, and obviously you are charged this price. HOWEVER, once there is a new price, you are charged that price AGAIN, and you’ll have to wait about 5 days for a refund of the first price you were given. That is pretty bad. If there will be a real price for the weight of certain items maybe you should just charge us after the driver finishes the order! I really don’t like this feature. DoorDash is very good besides that.

Sooooo Bad:. Second order. Chose menu and placed with restaurant. Got pop up asking me to take scan of my credit card to verify. Done. Then placed order, and bank processed payment. But then got a pop up saying there was a problem with the order!!! Was charged but order not placed. Next called Customer Service TWICE. Neither of the consultants spoke or understood sufficient English. I tried so hard to read out my email address at least 6 times using the phonetic alphabet and each time they read it back to me incorrectly. Then told me to take a screen shot of my order on my phone and email it to them and a supervisor “normally calls back in 24 hours.” I said that I was hungry now, not in 24 hours. Now up to 25 minutes with them. Finally lost it and told the guy that this was the worst customer experience ever. He said : “sorry do you mind staying on the line to complete our survey?” Finally hung up and drove to the restaurant to order and pick up the food. I showed them the charge to my card, and they apologised. We trade there regularly. Whilst waiting I deleted the Door Dash app. Do not waste your time with DoorDash. No care factor, untrained service staff. Just pathetic. Menulog, Deliveroo and UBER Eats work....every time....and they have resident service staff in country. Problems are fixed quickly and in the best interest of the customer.

Buyer beware, pretty much got scammed.. Guys, PLEASE please think twice about downloading Doordash😭😭😭 I really needed a toothbrush one night and the driver found an alternative that I approved of. He cancelled it and the other things and only delivered a bag of cheetos. AND THEY ONLY TOOK AWAY ITEM COSTS, NOT THE FEES FROM A $30 ORDER???? So that $2 bag of cheetos cost me $20 and it wasn’t even the size or flavour specified. Support was apathetic and after much back and forth, only offered $5 credit. I am just a student from overseas, so my currency is super weak compared to USD. The money lost means a lot to me. I will try and dispute it but as a long-time Doordash user, this single experience has made me never want to use the app again, and make sure my friends and family know. They can keep that credit, deleting my account is infinitely more valuable. And now you know too! Stick with local delivery when you can.

Blaming customers, horrible customer service. I ordered so many times with this app and spent quite a bit of money. They were initially good with service. But lately back to back my orders started having missing items. They gave me credits for last 3 times for missing items everytime in my order ( only for the missing item cost, no extra compensation). Today again it happened that I had a hash brown missing in my order. When I contacted customer support, they said they can’t compensate me because I have history of taking refunds. They are not blaming themselves or restaurants but blaming me for taking refunds for the things I never received. It is so frustrating and annoying and I don’t accept that it’s my fault at all. It’s my right to get my refund if my item is not received. They even refuse to accept my request to chat with their customer service. I wish this company shuts down as they are fooling people.

Worst customer service experienced. I literally have not had a worse experience with customer service. I didn’t receive an item with my order, so I got a refund in the form of a credit. I asked for a cash refund as I used door dash as a once off. After two hours over three days, being transferred over 6 times, cut off from chat sessions, promised call backs within 24 hours but not following through. My refund request for a part of the order not delivered was not a substantial amount, however, it’s the principle. If you don’t deliver a good that has been paid for, you should refund it in the method it was paid. The inability to resolve such a simple request was astounding, and shows how a simple matter was handled, what would happen with something slightly more complex. Would highly recommend not using door dash as I’m sure they do this to other customers, thereby keeping money which should be refunded.

They let you order from closed restaurants. Recipe for disappointment.. There have been at least 5 times in the last 3 months that they have allowed me to place an order for delivery that is “confirmed by the restaurant” only for the order to be cancelled when the driver goes to pick up the order to find that the restaurant isn’t even open. One time the restaurant had completely shut down and moved to a different city??? And they automatically refund the order rather than offering credit to reorder straight away. Sick of having $30+ refunds pending for over 3 days every time I order because something’s goes wrong. Other delivery apps at least give you the option for a credit or contact you before straight up cancelling the order so you’re not just out the money and foodless. The fact they can’t even implement a proper system for recognising when restaurants are open is ridiculous

Customer service needs work. The app in general functions pretty well, and drivers are assigned quickly. However there are huge flaws in the customer service. If items are missing from your order they will only ever issue you a credit. I strongly disagree with this, however there’s no option to chat to someone from that screen. Only accept the offer of credit or nothing. Refunds should always be given in the case of an item not delivered. If there’s a problem with your food, the chat process is excruciating and takes hours. There’s no way to send images so you have to take the time to go over the issue multiple times with words. A hair fried into my chicken took an hour and a half to resolve. With Uber eats I could easily upload a photo of the issue for someone to review and have it quickly resolved that way. They also used to offer an extended delivery range for a higher fee, which was great for me as I’m disabled. But they inexplicably removed all restaurants more than 5km from me and then lied about it when I contacted customer service. It’s the dishonesty that bothers me. They tried to tell me that all of those restaurants must have changed their delivery zones mysteriously all at once. If they bring back the extended delivery zone then the app will be worth it. Otherwise it’s just as poor/average as the rest.

literally the worst. i have used door dash a few times and 80% of those times i would get my order cancelled as the restaurant would be closed that day or the restaurant doesn’t even use door dash. i dont know how that happens as this would never occur when using uber as they are informed of all their closing times etc. doordash support is a joke too, when i got my order cancelled i called the restaurant as they were taking over 40 mins just to confirm the order for them to inform me they don’t use door dash and never have. I told this to door dash support and they did absolutely nothing to help, didn’t take accountability and tried to cover themselves by saying the driver had an issue. I told them that was not true as the restaurant told me they dont use door dash to them have them say “sorry, u will get your money back in 7 days, not our problem” DONT even bother with door dash they waste your time and money.

Don’t bother with DoorDash. Nearly every single time I’ve ordered something with DoorDash, there has been an issue. Whether it’s with the delivery driver or missing items or the food going cold. I was once delivered raw meat in a meal that was too cold to actually cook the soup, which would’ve been a health hazard if I’d actually eaten the meat. The drivers are always late (keyword, always) and the ETA is never correct (it’s always later, never faster). Incredibly unprofessional service, I’ve had plenty more negative experiences than I’ve had positive. The customer service team does give good remedies but i’d rather not bother and just get my food on time. Deleting the app after this last order because the driver has chosen to wait for my order, then leave before it’s picked up and drive in the opposite direction for no reason. Please just go spend a few dollars extra with Uber Eats or even Menulog, do not waste your time with this app and it’s unprofessional delivery drivers.

Worst experience ever. I have been using DoorDash for at least three years recently I got a job at a shopping centre and i can’t leave the place to buy food so I resorted to DoorDash since day 1 I ordered food from there always something bad happened ( missing item, stale food, 3 hour wait time, missing utensils or even wrong food was delivered) and recently they refused to give me any solution to the problems. I understand if a lot of people do give false information or fraud. But the fact that I give picture evidence of the food being wrong,hair was in it and more, and still being rude or not wanting to resolve the situation is just ridiculous. I HATE DoorDash so much because I get sick every week because I ate late or even didn’t eat anything for the whole work shift and I am a single mum that have a baby to take care of at home. So being sick is not convenient at all, I nearly got a fatal accident from eating food that I’m allergic to when I already informed them about my allergies

Absolute Waste of Time!. I am someone who has used this app probably for the better part of a year. I have never had so many disappointing results from a delivery service in my life. The first few orders with them were good, enough for me to think that it was a substitute for Menulog. But now almost 80% of my orders are wrong. I just waited an hour for my order to arrive. And minutes before it was supposed to come, the service said that the order was cancelled and I would be refunded. By the time this happened every other restaurant had closed, which meant I could no longer order anything else. But my ‘partial’ credit, also couldn’t be used. Now I won’t get my money back for close to a week. (*interesting that they can take you’re money so fast, but can’t return it at the same speed $$$*) Although they have credited me $10 for some of my incorrect orders in the past. It’s really not worth the trouble, nor the hours you will spend waiting for your food to arrive. ‘IF’ it ever arrives... 0 out of 5 Stars.

Lack of compensation. I’ve only recently started using door dash (only had 2 orders ever placed with them) and on my second order McDonald’s made a severe mistakes in my order. Now like anyone would I made a request for refund showing the photos and descriptions based of those photos of what I order compared to what I received but for some reason their team said “bc of your account history and our investigation of all factors included we have declined ur request of a refund”. To me this seemed like a false statement from their team as if they did they would have realised I paid $10 more than I should have for a meal n them not even seeing that shows me they didn’t care if u had the proof or not as they wouldn’t refund me the money I overpaid for a meal not mine. I suggest to u people that this company is money hungry grubs so don’t use them anything else is fine but never is door dash!!!

Substitutions are ignored or not allowed. I use DoorDash (and pay for Dash Pass) to get small batches of groceries delivered - there is the option for either your Dasher to contact you about a substitution if an item is out of stock, or for you to select substitutions yourself before they start shopping. First I noticed that when an item was out of stock, the Dasher would contact me about substitutions as they were supposed to, but then ignore my selection which I would update within one or two minutes. They would then check out ten to fifteen minutes later with no substitution, making my order incomplete. So I started selecting my substitutions in advance - there’s a window of time you’re supposed to be able to do this in, which is before the Dasher has arrived at the store and started shopping. Now I find every time I place an order, within 60 seconds the Dasher is saying they have started shopping, which closes the option to select substitutions, however their expected delivery time is still very lengthy, which indicates they’re not actually at the store. Why even have the option for substitutions if it’s just ignored or made unusable? DoorDash itself makes contacting them or making complaints near impossible, with a series of automated chat bots that ignore the issue. There’s no way to rate Dasher’s with good or bad feedback either.

Doordash pass is a joke. Called up twice to figure out why my free trial of doordash pass won’t work. Both times the call centre people didn’t want to understand how frustrating this was, especially that my card was charged. The first lady said that if I spend $20 the delivery would be waived, it wasn’t though so maybe don’t lie to a customer. The second guy was a little more useful but unfortunately he seemed to think I was calling up about getting a refund on an old order and I had to say 3x that is for my doordash pass before he actually understood. He said that an email has been sent to fix my issue, but I doubt this will be resolved. Doordash should maybe hire people to work in a call centre who are based in Australia because it was very hard to communicate with them UPDATE just deleted my account. They have ZERO care factor to helping a customer who received an incorrect order. Who the hell do they think they are. I’m disgusted.

Failed order. Restaurant was closed. They tried to extend credit instead of refund.

Disappointment. Extremely unorganized and unreliable. Took over an hour for the delivery driver to arrive at the restaurant to pick up my food and when they finally got there the restaurant had no record of my other even though I was charged for it and had the receipt.

My food wasn’t complete. So I order 2 items, but when it gets home I only get one item . SO I CALLED DOORDASH. And they told me that I need to call IHOP. And then I called IHOP and they told the opposite . So I’m not with games .

Horribly managed!. I really want to like this service, but it seems they can only get it right ~30% of the time. Most orders are exceptionally over stated delivery times- expect an order listed as 24-28 minutes to take upwards of an hour more often than not. Food will very likely be delivered cold and unappetizing. The rare delivery that goes well is totally worth it (and if your area is better than mine, DashPass is great too!), but the consistency is so far off base I can’t begin to recommend this.

15% Service Charge on Top of the 4$ Service Charge? SCAMM!. This is a scam! They add a 15% service charge on top of the 4$ service charge! Be very careful! They try to catch when you aren’t paying attention!!!

Hidden fees. Fees are too high and your adding extra fees for processing.

Tipping before delivery doesn’t make sense. They ask for 15% tip and then the delivery person is 45 minutes late because they bundle deliveries that are 10km apart. This app is so frustrating. Prefer foodora that is much more reliable.

Love the 11% hidden fee with tax. Honestly, never using your service again. 11% on top of a delivery fee. If I could get Terroni from another provider at this hour I would. Brutal.

Terrible service. I ordered a meal, was wondering where it was after an hour. Checked my app no order pending, had to contact support for them to just tell me the restaurant is closed and they just left it open and accepted the order.

What A Joke. I placed an order and it wasn’t confirmed for 15 minutes, with a 40 minute total time of making it and delivering it. Cool. Finally got it confirmed. And another 25 minutes later it’s cancelled by the place I ordered from. 40 minutes later I have no food, and I won’t be refunded my money for 5-7 days. Even cooler. I ask them through chat why this would happen and they said it was closed. Why...am I able to order from a place when it’s closed or closing? I’m then told to call the place ahead of time to make sure they are open. Excuse me? What is the point of this app if I have to call and make sure they are closed? Hello? So their apology for keeping closed places up and able to order from is a whopping $3.77. I can’t even with this. Door dash, buh bye. Keep your pithy $3.77.

Needs Improvement. It would have taken me less time to pick up my own food than to deal with this glitchy app. Why can’t I give it 0 stars?

TOOK FOREVER TO RECEIVE MY ORDER.. I placed an order for delivery that stated the delivery time would be 3:05PM. I waited till 3:25PM and called the restaurant. They said they have the order prepared but door dash didn’t come pick it up. I checked the status and it showed that my driver was not moving at all. I called him once - no response. The second time he finally picked up and said he told door dash that he cancelled the order because he couldn’t make it. This is ridiculous because door dash did not provide me with any updates whatsoever and I couldn’t reach them in any way. I sent them a support request and did not receive a response from them. It wasn’t until 3:50PM when the app finally said they reassigned to another driver. And it is now 4PM and I had to ask the restaurant to remake my order as they said it was cold by now. This is ridiculous. No customer service from Door Dash whatsoever. No time management. No communication. I will definitely NOT be using them again.

Sign in with  do not work. The button to sign in  does not work. All other buttons works. Please provide update.

Unreliable. Do not use Skip the dishes. DoorDash and Uber eats is much more professional in the ways they handle mis-deliveries and restaurant mishaps.

iOS 12 no longer supported. Thank you for making your new app only compatible with newer (iOS 13 +) devices and completely disabling your older app. Good thing there are other food delivery services in our city.

Tip override. I plugged in 5 dollar tip and when I submitted order it said 9 dollar tip was selected! That’s not right. I should choose the tip. Not happy and unless corrected I will not use this service again!

Taking too much time. Worst app online order.👎

Horrible app. Spent 7 mins attempting to load then crashed. Finally got it open, built an account and it froze before I could place my order. Tried a 3rd time and it froze so long that I left the app open, placed an order with skip and had my order confirmed before it just crashed. Worst app to date I’ve ever downloaded

Use skip the dishes. None of the coupon codes work even though I am a new customer. Very frustrated.

terrible. Had a promotion for a 5$ meal & free delivery, yet they still charge me a fee for the delivery ( 11% of original cost) & $2 for having a meal under $12 instead of a delivery so it ends up to be the same cost anyways. Uber eats & skip the dishes doesn’t do that!

Asking for verification code but none was sent. Tried it via text 3 or 4 times. Received it several minutes later. Had to get it via email. Also tried to order via the website but it would not allow me to submit the order.

Extremely Deceiving ETAs. Time and time again my order say they’re coming within 15-30mins and end up coming 45-1hr later. Absolutely ridiculous especially when you only have a limited time for lunch break.

Just go to skip the dishes or something. At first I really liked this app because it was the only fast food Delivery that had McDonald’s on it because I live far. But literally the 3 times I order they have had to contact me because they didn’t have something in the menu, but the menu does not make sense at all, how can they have a double quarter pounder and NOT have single? The menu is so confusing and the last time I ordered there a “dasher” accepted my order BUT NEVER PICKED IT UP so I waited a WHOLE HOUR for this guy to get out of his house and I couldn’t cancel the order because he already accepted it!! I had to contact the “dasher” who by the way did not pick up at all so I had to contact the door dash people who also couldn’t get hold of my “dasher” so I asked for a refund and i don’t even get in 5-7 business days. Really bad.

Please fix ongoing order page. When I place an order and wish to see details of my order, I can only see the maps and the screen below it is just flashing/loading. The data isn’t being loaded properly so I do not know the status of my order, and so I have to manually check the link attached to my order confirmation email to see the order status on the web since the app doesn’t show current order progress properly.

Crappy service. CUSTOMER COMMENTS NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They like to take the money then claim the restaurant can’t fulfill the order. Of course the store can’t because you guys never send the order to the store!!! Then say it will take us 5-7 days to get our money back after you took it! Bunch of crap . Never order again or recommend this company to anyone!!!

Never again. I don’t think I’ll be using this service again. The driver has been making 4 other deliveries in between mine which means cold food. It is ridiculous to charge for service, delivery and expect me to tip when it’s taken more than 30+ minutes to deliver after picking up food from restaurant. Who wants to eat cold food, honestly?

Horribly unreliable. Doordash sucks. The delivery is unreliable at best. The support is non existent. If you receive your order correctly and on time it will be a miracle. I’ve had countless issues and not one resolved appropriately.

So disappointing. Long day, waited 1h30 for my food then after calling the restaurant found out all customers were waiting so long for door dash drivers that most were picking up or cancelling. Will never use this app again- use skip the dishes, more reliable.

Refund doesn’t cover cost. I was given a partial refund for not getting my food. The refund they gave me wasn’t enough to reorder my food.

Bait and Switch. Offers promos then they don’t apply at checkout. But your cart is full so of course you order anyway. Unethical business practice.

DO NOT USE. App is not fully developed. Customer service and order status links are non-functional. No live agents. Help line phone number does not work. You have to wait over 1 hour or twice the approx delivery time before you can get a full refund on your order. Less than 1 hour, you only get the delivery fee and tip refunded, should you cancel. If the restaurant is closed for renos/shortage of food or is having issues do not expect door dash to provide updates. If you email a concern, expect 2 days before getting a response via email.....on food you ordered 2 nights before. Avoid the headache.

Covid. So crazy that you can still charge such high delivery and service fees. I

Unethical Business. It happened to me and a few of my friends. Doordash sends you emails to sign up, offering free delivery and $10 off your first order. Once you sign up and place your first order, they take your money but cancel your order at the last moment. They will issue a refund in 5-7 days, thereby borrowing your hard-earned money for a few days. This is an excellent way to make cash but extremely unethical and maybe even illegal.

Don’t bother.. Impossible to get a hold of ANYONE who works for the company. Had a family emergency and had to sit and wait for food because now they’ve wasted drivers time.

Horrible horrible business. Have had so many issues with door dash the last few times I ordered and every time it’s a pain dealing with their customer service. If I could I would give their customer service a 0. They consistently try to shrug you off when you ask for help and blame it on “inactivity” or something that isn’t their fault.

This app sucks. Delivery of food went opposite direction of my house for 30 minutes. Fast food took almost 1.5 hours!!! And 1.25 hours was in someone’s car while they drove around I assuming doing other orders... No support from DoorDash Deals don’t work....

Countless attempted orders never pleasant. I lived in Ontario and used door dash for months. after numerous attempted orders over these months 2 have been successfully delivered. One took 2 hours to arrive and one was fine. I care to Alberta and it’s even worse, I haven’t successfully received and order before, every time I try, when the driver arrives at the store, they cancel the order. I have credits I am constantly trying to get rid of but can’t because the won’t deliver my orders. Terrible commitment to service.

4.6 stars?. Just like every big app, DoorDash is covering up all the 1 star reviews with bots or straight up manipulation. This app is trash, the drivers are lazy, nothing is as described. First order, never arrived. Second order, arrived ice cold. Absolutely trash company

Always Delayed. I’ve used Door Dash 3 times and all of those deliveries were delayed by more than 1hr. Not sure if this was a driver issue or the service itself but 3/3 failed deliveries is pretty bad. I rarely experience this issue with UberEats. Will most likely switch back.

Bad customer service, slow delivery service. Door dash is not comparable to uber eats at ALL! Food is always late, takes 1.5-2 hours to arrive each time. No number to call for immediate customer support if something goes wrong. The wrong driver picked up my order once and I didn’t receive my food for 2.5 hours and it was freezing cold. They offered me $5 compensation lol.

Didn’t get my order. They sent my order to a closed restaurant that doesn’t even do door dash deliveries... why was it an option on the app if they don’t have a deal with that restaurant?!

Dasher didn’t arrive. The dasher went to the wrong address which resulted in me not getting my dinner. The email from door dash then said that I’m not entitled for a refund! Really?? Not gonna be using this fraud of a service. Hope you can put your kids through college with this scam

Horrible platform. I ordered almost 2 hours ago. No food, no way to cancel. They tell you to contact customer service for ETA and they simply don’t pick up the call. If they don’t redeem themselves I’m more than obliged to move my business to other great food delivery services.

Disappointed. Both times I have tried the service I was let down. First time my order was cancelled after waiting a long 2.5hours. The second time the food was on its way then was never received but showed on my app as being delivered.

Dasher picked up my order an hour ago.. I have used doordash for a while and things are getting worse lately. Dashers try to get too many orders and resulting unacceptable delays. I have been watching the dasher map and noticed he goes to different direction frequently. Not cool

Absolutely terrible!. Every time I ordered through this app there was issue(aside from one Chinese restaurant). Food was missing mostly every single time, this last time, I spent $28 on JIB and received cold food because JIB employees forgot to let the dasher know it was ready for pickup, and instead of remaking the ice cold food, they just sent it with the dasher. I let DD know, and they issue a $14 credit. Ok, no? I paid double that and nobody ate the ice cold food. My cousin just ordered pizza instead. Now DD is giving me a run around and saying they’ll refund $19 “a partial refund”. Why partial? I had ordered from BK three times, cuz how many times can they mess up the exact same order, right?? The answer is every single time. I ordered the bundles that are offered and they left out the sides. Every. Single. Time. Basically, DD doesn’t care if you get what you paid for. Only that they get their share of the money. Horrible app and I’ve already deleted it. Every time you let them know you didn’t get items, or that something is wrong that want to throw around the word “compensation”. As if they are giving you something for free. I haven’t been able to order anything for three days through the app and the website just says there’s an error. There’s no way everyone is having this problem, they’d be losing tons of money and would’ve fixed it right away. I believe they put a block on my account hoping they can steal my money that’s added to it like they originally tried to do.

Bad dasher.. Husband ordered food for our kids after I got back from a 12 hour flight from Europe. Our order from Wendy’s was wrong and when asking the dasher where our chili or second salad was he merely shrugged, said this is all he was given and it was Wendy’s fault and to call door dash. When I went to Wendy’s, they blamed the dasher. Meanwhile something that was supposed to make my life simpler and cost more then it was worth wound up taking twice as long. I received no apology from the dasher or Wendy’s. I don’t think it’s inappropriate to expect the dashers to double check the food the same way I might on the way of if drive through line. This won’t make up for everything, but at a minimum it’s a dashers job to at least ensure the approximate number of items are accounted for. Two salads, two chilis, two fries and two burgers looks a lot different than one salad, two burgers and two fries. I don’t understand how this all works and it’s not my job to understand. I do, however, expect kindness and an apology when there’s an oversight that I not only have to drive out for but also pay out of pocket for - a second time. This appears to be basic customer service that’s missing. Disappointed with this dasher.

Poor customer service and app security.. Account was hacked due to poor security on their side. When I was notified by DoorDash I confirmed that I had not changed my email address however it took them 48 hours to respond. When they did they wanted to know if I maybe had a different email address that I had forgotten about. I’d already confirmed that I did not change the email. I did not receive a response so I called them and explained the situation over the phone. After once again confirming that I have not changed the email I received a 3rd email saying that congratulations my phone number was correct on the account and that it matched both my real email him the fake email. How this is a good thing I do not know? I then called a second time to figure out what was going on and every time I called I have to re-explain what the problem is from jump. After explaining it again twice tonight, they can’t seem to understand that the fake email is fake and the real email is the one i keep confirming. Ended up having to do a chargeback on my credit card and get a new credit card and all new information from American Express. Not once did doorDash ever offer to compensate or to refund or to do anything other than “escalate” the call. However when they did that I never received a response from a supervisor or the next level. Ended up having to close the account due to the incompetence and poor security of this app. If I could give it s negative number I would.

I’m furious.. Hey, DoorDash, you guys should honestly be ashamed of how you handled a situation with a driver and our delivery tonight. Upon getting our food delivered, the driver had marked our food as “delivered” with a picture of a building that’s on the opposite side of our development. Not only that, but when we called the driver to ask where our food was, he replied with “I delivered it,” to which we told him, “We don’t have our food, so where is it?” He started to get a little bit of attitude and told us “I delivered it,” and then he hung up on us. To our shock, the DoorDash delivery driver had thrown our food INTO THE BUSHES by the other building across our development because he couldn’t find our building. He stated that he had called, yet no phone calls or texts from him to ask where our unit was. Not only that, but the picture he took was only of the building number.... NOT the food in the bushes. Now DoorDash “investigating” the situation, however, we still haven’t received any resolutions and are only being offered a $5 credit for the fact that we had our food THROWN INTO BUSHES and had to go on a scavenger hunt to find it. Reconsider some of your drivers, DoorDash. Some people should not deliver food if they cannot deliver it properly or contact at all. I can’t believe I actually had to retrieve the food I ordered from a BUSH down the road tonight because of incompetence. A $5 credit is not the way to fix that. I NEVER complain, and right now, I’m furious.

Horrible feedback. Unprofessional drivers and support. My experience through this app has been disastrous. I have two young children and only one vehicle that my wife takes to work each day. Unfortunately the one or two times I order through this app I have received the worse service I have ever received anywhere. Both times my driver accepted the order that I had placed which therefore gave permission to the restaurant to cook my food. Both times my driver decided to not leave there current location for over an hour each time. If I had accepted the food it would have been cooked two hours before I would have received it. Another driver threatened to spit in my food when I asked how long it would take after waiting an hour. (Wait time stated 20-30 mins) and seeing that this person had not even left there house to get my food until after an hour after it was made. Now I have to deal with this person having my address. After all the wasted time and all the grievance customer support can’t even offer free delivery for my troubles. They say your money will be back in my account in three to five days. My claim with a disgruntled driver was closed without any feedback. Money hungry company who does not care for there customers.

Highly deceptive practices re: Tips. I inquired about increasing the tip from 10% to 15% but there was never any intention to make a 25% tip on a nearly $100 order. I am going to report this to the BBB, and follow up with a police report in order to get the refund. As a business they’ll quickly accept funds but delay any reply where they are asked to return funds they are not due. Secondly, the food purchased/eaten last night from Cheese Factory made me very sick, along with my boyfriend. I want to change my ratings but the app won’t allow when it comes to negative reviews. The restaurant added grilled onions to one appetizer when I asked for no onions. I also asked for a substituted meal if the onions couldn’t be removed; this didn’t happen. No one has gotten back to me about the refund off the double tipping. I’ve probably spent a couple thousand on this app and they can’t get back to me over 13 measly dollars. For me, my persistence is simply about the principle of the matter. I never received my order of four tacos with no lettuce for my kids and you all mastermind a bait and switch by offering $7.50 and then offering less when I said that was unacceptable. you relied on my hungry kids to distract me because my I was negotiating with you I had to feed them. why on earth would I accept less credit!?! Nice way of supporting a long time customer that spend plenty of money and is a single mother at that. shame on you.

Denny’s. I don’t like how Denny’s takes ur money but cancels ur order and then say was 5-7 days to get ur redound like no the she give you ur refund right away overall the app DoorDash is great but if I could report a store it will be Denny’s and not to mention when I ordered from Denny’s before the plastic silverware was already open my eggs weren’t fully cooked and I asked for scrambled eggs and my bacon wasn’t done and they only gave me one syrup container that wasn’t filled to the top and my hot chocolate was halfway gone DoorDash u need to fix this because this is unacceptable for Denny’s to be taking people money but canceling the order and then we would have to wait to get our refund and my child is starving and I can’t cook for her because I have a netting in 5 minutes and Denny’s is what she wanted for dinner so how am I supposed to feed my daughter if Denny’s is canceled my order but took my money I’m about to delete door dash and start using Uber eats this is not acceptable to working mothers WHO BARELY HAVE TIME FOR THEIR KIDS AND FOR THEM TO COOK FOR THEIR KIDS and ik people are reading this and probably saying it’s not that big of a deal just order more well I can’t that was the last bit of money I had until I get my paycheck on Sunday until then my husband will pay for groceries because he doesn’t like ordering take out thanks a lot DoorDash/Denny’s

2 days for no reply from customer service. I got an automated message when I order from Jack-in-the-Box three minutes after I got the email telling me that there was free delivery if you were one of the first 1500 people. Why on earth did they send out that email if the store couldn’t handle the volume. Bait and switch. They also send me an email saying that I got a free delivery which did not apply to my account and a zero dollar credit which is an insult to of a macro that tells me I’m getting zero dollars. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Any company not willing to have decent customer service doesn’t care about its customers. I’m switching back to any other delivery service or getting my own food. They have been a pain whatever we’ve had issues at work when we’ve used it I should’ve known better. Also: I got a call finally from door dash where I had 2 people explain to me my card was refunded from the initial order. I am not against outsourcing for basic customer service. However it was obvious that both agents did not understand what the problem was and this is why outsourced customer service is frustrating because of the cultural divides. Neither one of them understood the email I was sent in a meaningful way nor why I was frustrated with the experience of getting an email that said I have a zero dollar credit being added to my account. Wow. All I can say was that call has ended my relationship with DoorDash.

Something’s Always Wrong. Let me start by saying that I usually order through a restaurant’s app or site and not this one, but when a restaurant partners w/ DoorDash, I have no choice but for my delivery to go through them. And it’s always DoorDash that messes something up. Missing items, mostly. But last order was the final straw. I made a scheduled order earlier in the day to be delivered around 6. Twenty minutes early, my driver marked that they’d delivered the food. They did not. Another thirty minutes go by, I call the restaurant, they tell me the food was picked up to be delivered so I have to call DoorDash support. Food’s over half an hour late at this point. Support staff was kind (one lady had a rooster crowing in the background so sadly I couldn’t hear half of what she said, but hey, that’s what happens when you outsource CS), got my food redelivered, but it took a while. Don’t know what happened to the first driver but hope he enjoyed his petty loot of boneless chicken wings. In total I got my food nearly two hours after it was originally scheduled to arrive, and there were still missing items! Unacceptable. Great job DoorDash, I’ll be going through the inconvenience of picking up my orders from any restaurant that uses you as a middle man from now on. Edit: When asked to give feedback via text the link just led to an empty webpage, so I figured I might as well give feedback here.

Ripped off. I was attempting to order food at work and noticed the address was to my other job location. I changed the location manually. But then I received a call. After I went back into the app I found something to order not noticing that the address was changed back to the address before. (Now beside that the app uses your location) But as soon as I placed the order I noticed it was sending my food to my other job! I admittedly try to cancel and got a message that I will be losing $15! So I started a chat with support with a (Sheila F) who was very rude and ended the chat without the proper help for me. So I called support and was told the restaurant was closed anyway (which “Sheila F” didn’t tell me) I asked so I just lose my money for the app’s mistake She replied YES! She then allowed me to cancel the order and I said I wouldn’t be using the service anymore if this is how the costumer gets treated and tell me well I’m sorry you feel like that and ended the chat abruptly. The Support that I called tried to tell me because I cancelled the order and the chat rep cancelled as well I do not get my money back! I Do Not Recommend anyone to use this app if you work hard for your money especially if you have to change addresses for any reason

Overcharging Menu Prices. My experience with DoorDash was going fairly well during my 30-day free trial of no delivery fees. I was aware of the higher fees for service, but thought that the menu prices for each restaurant did always seem rather high. It wasn’t until my most recent and last order that I discovered DoorDash sets and charges the menu prices that they see fit for each restaurant. When I received my order from a very friendly Dasher, she made a comment that I got a bargain for my order. I asked how so, and she responded because it was only $14. Only however, I paid $35 for my food, tax, service fee, and dasher tip ($5.60). (I was waived delivery fee during my trial) Therefore, for the food and tax I paid roughly $25. How did the dasher only pay $14 for the food when I paid for $25? (Before service fee and tip). DoorDash is over charging menu items. I found this out first hand, and by a customer service rep slipping up over the phone. The company already charges for deliver fees and service fees, how is it that they also inflate the menu prices?! Customer service somewhat solved the issue, but if I had not of called to correct it, the company would have more money in their pockets. There was also no receipt in my bag, so if that Dasher had never mentioned how much she paid, I would have never known. I understand a company needs to make profit which is why there are fees, but this dishonesty has lost my business.

Disappointed. Used this app for a year and about 80% of the time we have a missing item from our orders. Instead of enjoying my food with my family, I am trying to figure out food for a family members who didn’t receive their meal and I am on the app trying to get my money back -which is a joke, they won’t refund fully, they OFFER both options of either a portion of your money back as an app credit or full refund, but you can’t select the full refund, it will still only be a portion of the money credited as app credit- I finally reached out to support angry I can’t get my actually money back and claim I choose partial refunds as a credit. That’s because there is NO OTHER OPTION and I HAVE to choose it to get out of the window to get help from support!! What a joke! Extremely disappointed. You would think they would have their dashers check over the orders or after having us alert them every order we were missing something to start looking into it, but no. There isn’t anyone confirming all items are accounted for prior to delivering. We’ve had cold meals because dashers (I’m guessing to get as many deliveries done in one trip) are delivering other meals, so it says our food is on the way.... an hour or more later it does arrive... cold and gross. I cancelled our subscription and still won’t get my money back because they only allow store credit- which is still only a portion of what money we lost.

Don’t recommend. I don’t like this app. Plain and simple. Surprisingly it’s not even the dashers. It’s the app and company itself. Okay well it’s them too but still. So I just had an issue that just made me delete the app and cancel my subscription. I ordered from this place because I have no car, and is a pretty far walking distance, so I decided to dash it. Worst decision ever. So a dasher is assigned to my order and it doesn’t take long for them to get to the store, and they notify me that the dasher has checked out and is heading to me. Then I come back five minutes later and it says “your order is running late” while it’s saying “dasher has checked out” again. So I’m like okay I’ll just wait. Then, 35-45 minutes later, it’s still not here, saying the same thing. I contacted the dasher to see if everything was alright and I got no response, so I canceled the order. But it said I wouldn’t get my money back like what? It still showed that the dasher was still at the store and has not moved, and they aren’t giving me my money back. So I will be calling my bank to dispute the charge and I will not be using doordash again. This is what I get for trying anything other than Postmates.🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Bad deliverer ruined this for me. Ordered my food. Said it would take 45-55 min roughly. Watched on the app as it said that the driver was picking up my order. This lasted 30-45 minutes. The longest delivery time, which changed frequently, had it at 72 minutes, (this was about 30 minutes into my original order) Then it changed to the driver is on the way with the delivery and it was another 35 minutes away. About 10 minutes after that, I get a phone call from the driver. She didn’t speak English very well and I could barely understand. She kept asking for the address. I’m at school. I don’t know the address but kept telling her the name of it. I finally understood that she wanted the address of the restaurant (Buffalo Wild wings) and understood that she hadn’t even picked up my food yet. This was over an hour after I had ordered my food. At this point I got frustrated and just hung up. I felt bad for her but I shouldn’t have to tell the driver the address to the restaurant. By the time she would’ve got there and delivered my food, I would’ve gone home from school. Customer support is non existent it seems, as the help section is only a bunch of FAQS and there seems to be no actual customer support. I won’t be using this again. Edit: sent them an email stating the issues within an hour of interacting with the driver and got an immediate reply stating that since they hadn’t heard from me in 3 days they considered my case closed. This is beyond terrible service.

read for decent info 🧐. i use door dash A LOT, the service is great, the best out of all apps ive used. i live in a spot thats pretty hard to find, but the drivers always follow instructions amazingly. sometimes my food is a little bit cold, but i blame this on living in a busy town with lots of traffic. i have yet to have a bad experience with a driver. that being said, the system of door dash could be a bit better. theres been a few times where, for some reason, they back charge a couple days later for a delivery fee. this would be so bad if it wasnt $15, and doordash claims delivery fee is "$1.99". this has caused some complications because money doesnt grow on trees, and this was just the easiest way to get food to me. i also do not like the fact that you are given options for tips, rather than being able to enter them yourself. not many complaints at all, out of all of the delivery apps ive used this one is by far the best, there will always be complications with everything. all the drivers ive had have been great, unlike postmates and uber eats, so yea, go with door dash!! plus, there is a plethora of restaurants and businesses on doordash. i can find small bakeries in my city that i wouldnt be able to on another app, so thats another great thing.

Would have been 5 stars but....... So I love this app has great prices, promos, and a wider variety of restaurants than other delivery apps BUT TODAY WAS LIKE PULLING TEETH TRYING TO PLACE MY ORDER. I’ve used this app for more than a month had small problems here or there but nothing major until I was blocked from submitting orders for no reason at all I called my bank to make sure the card info was valid and they said the reason for the decline was a mismatch billing address so I called DoorDash to verify all the information and the lady starts to tell me that I haven’t used it in a while so that was why but I explained that I used it yesterday and she says well there is no block on our end it’s your banks fault so more or less I was politely told “Oh well” I played around with the app and discovered that I could use my Apple Pay to submit the order so I did but what makes no sense is that the same card on my Apple Pay is the same card I was attempting to use in the first place but I’ve never had to use Apple Pay in the past so the whole situation was just annoying and I’m starving in the process so I’m just disappointed that there is no rhyme or reason to what happened to me. She said she would escalate the case but there is no est. resolution time......go figure

What a horrible company and app. Just minutes ago, my order was canceled for no apparent reason and yet I was charged for the order and now have to wait days for charges to be refunded. ( STOP CHARGING PEOPLE BEFORE THEY EVER GET THEIR FOOD!!!) A week or two ago I also placed an order. It said it would arrive in about 40 minutes yet an hour later it still said preparing order and arriving in 1-1 minutes. I called the restaurant and was informed that my order has been ready for some time yet no one has come to pick it up. When I tried to cancel the order, the app crashed and would not reopen. When I called customer service to get my refund since I was once again charged for food I never received. The automated message said they are aware of problems with the app and currently working to fix them. I didn’t get to talk to anyone. Hours later a dasher arrived with my food that had surely been sitting out or under a heat lamp. I told him that I didn’t want the food that I ordered hours ago as I had already eaten and by now it was surely cold, flavorless, and disgusting. I also was a dasher for a short time and when it came time for me to be paid, the company did not pay me, I spent dozens of hours talking to doordash and my bank, both assuring me that the other was the problem. This was never fixed and I was never paid for the work I did there. This company is criminal and a scam. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM OR BECOME A DASHER!!! I will never order food with them again.

Drew Sease should be given a raise!!. If you don’t know who Drew Sease is in a company as large as DoorDash, well I feel sorry for you. Drew Sease is a diligent, hard working, charismatic, headstrong individual who will get things done! Never mind his trusty side kick JZ, or is it the other way around? Anyway, I am pleased to now be apart of the DoorDash culture now as I have just placed my first order through you all! I know, shocking as a millennial and college student none the less, but regardless still very true. I want to clarify that I haven’t used any other competing companies services, as I understand that would be a genuine betrayal to my own brother. I primarily cook at home but am feeling quite pampered today so the food comes to me. Onto my review: as I await the quick arrival of my food, I am exploring the DoorDash app and find it to be easy to navigate/user friendly, quick and efficient and visually appealing. DoorDash is the best food delivery service and I would recommend it to anyone that comes across my path! As for the executives in this company who are diligently working to contract new partnerships with restaurants, etc. they should be given a raise! Recommend !. A lot of people say things about addresses, not getting delivered on time but honestly, I disagree this entire time I’ve been ordering on DoorDash. It gets in here within 30 minutes and honestly it’s better than waiting in a long line for your fast food. Also, it saves you gas you can get all your favorite food delivered to your house in under 30 minutes. This saves me a lot of time as a person who is not of age to get a car. I really enjoy using this app when I want to watch a movie, I can quickly order some thing for me and my friends or just myself and my family when I read the reviews I think of robot, but this one is real and you don’t have to worry. As of this moment of you, I have ordered a quick drink, so I am able to enjoy a movie. I definitely recommend DoorDash and most of the time when things take long is only because you’re probably ordering from somewhere that is very far in DoorDashers have to drive a long way, depending on where their last destination was. I knew someone who used to work for DoorDash and now i understand the struggle to drive back-and-forth. Sometimes people may live in apartments for DoorDash is generally a good app !

It’s a mess. Customer service was amazing so that’s where I’ll start. With the good news. The bad news for me is that the fees are not clear and expensive. There is also a “delivery fee” but then also a tip. I don’t understand how that makes sense. If you just paid your drivers the money they deserve it wouldn’t be on me to cover the cost. I know you make money off each order and with the way deals can be structured there’s all kinds of money you guys get per transaction. I’m not saying this operation doesn’t deserve to make money. Obviously the inventor needs his cut and I’m happy to oblige. But too much of the weight is carried by the worker and that’s ridiculous when my tip is a huge part of how they can afford to live. Ultimate this side hustle culture can’t sustain its self and these types of outfits can’t last under the pressure of time. Pay your employees better and stop making the consumer pay their wages. I’m positive this company could survive if they did it and it’s a testament to the world we live in that I have to call 3 times to get extra fees taken off my card when the only reason I used this app was for a free order from an e-mail I received. I never got the free order and only was given 5 dollars to compensate. Hey it’s more than nothing but it’s a far cry from what I was promised. If I could leave work for lunch I’d happily go get the food myself and that’s the only reason I use this app.

Not worth the aggravation. First time using this service was great, so I was happy to use again tonight. Sooo aggravated bc I had confirmed the driver had picked up the food I ordered for family dinner. Driver never delivered. An hour and a half ordeal when we expected the delivery to take 30-40 min. The app confirmed the food was picked up, but then no further progress seen on app to track driver. I thought maybe the app wasn’t working, and I also thought ok, give it a little extra time for driver to arrive. Then I texted her, no response. Called her twice, straight to voicemail. Gradual realization that our food was never coming & having to figure out a plan B for dinner for my family at 9 pm on a Sunday. Frustrating- and I had put down a 25% tip in advance😡😡 I cant believe the driver ghosted with our dinner in hand. Further BS with the time it then took to cancel the order- online chat help informed me I was number 65 on their list to help, so sat here staring at my phone until finally my turn- online help requiring me texting back and forth what the issue was, and after that someone finally called me. The person I spoke to was polite but sounded like she was reading off a script as fast as she could to tell me they could credit my account for a future order or refund my $, which willl take 7–10 days to process. Seems like when this service does work, it’s a great convenience. But definitely not worth playing the odds to see if I your driver is trustworthy or a thief.

Great concept, poor execution, dishonest company. I just realized that DoorDash are dishonest about prices! Just discovered that I paid a lot more on the items through the app than what the actual cost at the restaurant is. Plus, there is “service fee” (as if artificially increasing the item prices wasn’t enough), Plus there’s a delivery fee AND a tip that you pay ahead of time regardless if the driver did a good job or not. I can probably live with the high delivery fees and the tip, because at least some of it actually goes to the driver, but inflating the restaurant prices and charging a service fee on top of that is just too much. Finally, they are also being dishonest about delivery times. Before ordering, all places show about 20-40min estimated delivery time, but once you place the order, within a few minutes the estimated times jump up and just get stuck. It says the driver is waiting to pick up my order, but in reality the driver is picking up multiple orders and as new orders come in they just wait for them to be ready as well. The driver then finally leaves the *fast food* restaurant after about 30 minutes or more, and begins their delivery route, which is based on whoever lives closest and not on a first come first served basis. By the time I got my food it was already cold (waited for 70 minutes for a fast food order from a place 6 miles away, most of that time was delivery, not preparation). Beware of DoorDash.

Just made my last order. I’ve have never had a single problem with any order until today. I placed my order today from a local place down the street, the dasher arrived to the place in a timely manner and picked up my order, about 15 minutes went by and I checked my tracking to see where my order was, the driver had gone off to some apartments across the street from my apartment complex. The driver calls me and of course doesn’t speak my language at all and doesn’t understand a word me and my boyfriend are telling him over the phone. We tell him he had to go across the street to the other apartments and he says oh okay and hangs up. Another 10 minutes go by of us watching the tracking and he’s still across the street in the wrong area. So I text him and use google translate to tell him he’s at the wrong apartments and he has to come across the street. He doesn’t respond and still remains on that side for another 10-15 minutes. Finally it tells me my order has been completed and delivered and I never recieved the order!?!?!? I immediately called door dash and they were very helpful with fixing my problem, very satisfied with the customer service but not the drivers they let deliver. Anyone in the Salem NH area beware for JeanCarlos G. Not sure if he couldn’t actually understand me or just wanted my food and my money.

BEWARE of refunds!!!. I ordered from Doordash and the food I received was NOT what I paid for. There were items missing. I contacted Doordash about this, told them I was not going to eat the food (I threw it in the trash) and would like a refund. The person went back and forth with me saying he couldn’t refund, then mentioned he could do a redelivery. I expressed my concern about this as it was already getting late and I wasn’t sure when the establishment closed. He reassured me and told me my food would certainly be delivered. I was fine with the redelivery so long as I would receive my food; in that case I had no need to care about a refund nor did I request a credit for the inconvenience. I just wanted my food. I got the confirmation email for the redelivery... then got another email several minutes later stating that my new order had been cancelled. I contacted Doordash again and now they couldn’t refund back to my card because it was changed to a “redelivery.” The only thing they could give me was a credit to my Doordash account. Absolutely disgusting that customer service did this, which was clearly a ploy to avoid giving me my refund back on my card. I promptly deleted my account. It’s not about the money. I have plenty of money. Most importantly, it’s the principle of the whole thing. You do NOT do business like this. Very underhanded and despicable. I will be going directly to my bank and disputing the charges and will no longer use Doordash.

Horrible customer service. DoorDash used to be decent but they have drastically increased their fees and completely dropped customer service. I order a meal that was supposed to arrive in 25 minutes. After 30 minutes it said the food was on its way. After 50 minutes the app said my food was being prepared. I clicked the help button but Door Dash says they can’t help because the restaurant delivers their own orders and so have to call them directly. I’ve been calling for 30 minutes and they haven’t answered the phone. It’s now been more than 3 times as long as it was supposed to take to be delivered and it doesn’t look like they have even made my order. I’ve searched the entire app and there is no one to talk to in order to see if the food has just been delayed or if they lost my order. I don’t want to go eat in case they show up so I’ll just sit here another hour with each passing moment becoming more convinced to stop using this horrible service. I mean what do they do? This order didn’t use a dasher, didn’t provide customer service, didn’t endure the restaurant is fulfilling orders, charged huge fees and provided nothing. I guess Door Dash has just become a credit card processing app where sometimes you get what you ordered and sometimes you don’t, but you always get those fees and massive increases in food prices over what you pay if you just call the restaurant directly.

Absolute Garbage Get a Bike.. This was given 5 stars so it can be viewed. This app is terrible and should have less then 0 stars. I’ve been a driver and now I’m a customer and both positions show continuously just how much DumbDash is only concerned with robbing people. I’ve had orders come cold when restaurants are less then 3 miles away. I’ve had dashers place the food anywhere (because I’m in an apartment) and tell me to find it. What’s even better is after you complain more then twice they tell you you are too frequent to get a refund even though food that YOU HAVE PAID FOR is incorrect it’s their ‘policy’ that after so many times they don’t have to refund you. This app is run by computers every time you try for assistance they have to have you hold or get an escalation team because they can NEVER fix something right away. The customer is NEVER right which is funny because as a driver everything is your fault too everyone’s fault but the actual restaurant or DoorDash. It’s honestly the worst food delivery app and maybe it’s because it got too popular so they have kids delivering orders and not caring but to be charging for taxes deliver fees driver fees and tips and still not get a drink or half the sides out of a $50 dollar order is absolutely mind boggling. Will delete this app and literally WALK all over town before I let this place charge my card for something they can’t even fully complete or explain.

Needs Some Work. As someone who doordashes on the side and has been a frequent member of doordash/dashpass, I feel like this app needs a lot of work. The background check on Ubereats is extensive and I think doordash should invest in that for their dashers. Food is too often stolen, brought to the wrong address without compensation, and when this happens customers have to go through multiple bots in order to speak with an associate. On top of this, doordash charges customers an outrageous amount above normal store prices, but then the doordashers are compensated unfairly. During covid I believe you could make a living wage with doordash, I now find that completely untrue. When ordering the recommended tip is usually $5-10, but the dasher views the dash as a total of $2-6, and sometimes aren’t even fully compensated for the price shown before accepting it. Para the app is a great way to get around this unfairness and greed shown by doordash, but it has been proven over and over that they have no interest sharing a platform with Para. I think the overall basic layout and idea of Doordash is great, I even think it’s better than most food delivery apps, but when things go wrong or people are unhappy with the app(s), nothing is done or it is shown only the bare minimum can be done. Hopefully this comes off as constructive criticism rather than anything else thanks.

Good app, lousy customer service. I recently used Door Dash to order food, and after 1 hr only received 1/2 of my order, meaning the other person I ordered food for had nothing to eat, beyond splitting my portion with her. Trying to be civil I contacted customer support to find a resolution, the service provider told me he would contact the restaurant to see what went wrong, but made no mention on how the matter would be resolved. When he called back I was informed that the restaurant would remake my lost order, but inferred I would have to pick it up as the delivery person was “unreachable “. I told the service provider that was unacceptable and asked for a full refund, to which I was told I would only be compensated for the missing items, which is not compensation, that’s more like to prevent fraud for charging someone for items not received. I then asked to speak to his manager, to which I was told there was not one on duty. So I insisted that he provide a full refund, to which he eventually agreed. Then upon receiving my notice from door dash regarding my complaint I saw that only a portion of my order had been refunded, meaning the service provider lied over the phone. I would not trust this delivery service, as it appears to be a Russian roulette if you will receive your full order, and instead of compensating for the mistake they will simply refund you the money of what you didn’t get, like they are doing you a favor for not charging you for food you didn’t get.

Frustrated. I was on the phone 6 times with door dash trying to use my credit and was placed on holed from 14 to 30 minutes before I hung up . When I did get ahold of someone after being transferred 3-4 times I would get different answers on how to access my credit . The last person helped me and by then the restaurant closed :( I went through it again with door dash representative and after another 25 minutes the other restaurant closed! What is super frustrating process that you have two claim your credits. At the very end I was able to order from the only restaurant that I could eat at that was gluten-free that was open. Not what I had planned on doing but just wanted to use my credit so it would be over with. So again super frustrating process and not being able to use the credit to what I wanted to use it for but just had to use it so I would get it over with. The passing around to another representative after another representative was craziness giving the same information to each new representative and passing it along 3 to 4 times every time I got on the phone and waiting anywhere from 14 to I think it was like 35 minutes at the very end was absurd. I know that everybody is having hard times right now and trying to employ people so that’s why I’m writing this comment so that you know that the quality of customer service right now is not good. I hope it gets better, Tamara

DoorDash! Crazy or just down right awful?. I’ve tried many other delivery options and have had no noticeable difference in terms of service with the other ones. When it comes down to it it’s what people are working for them is what makes them out to be. So is DoorDash really worth trying out or should you just MoveOn? I think people should give a try the DoorDash. Makes them different from their competitors is there pricing. Now granite any order you make that have someone else doing it for you and bringing it for you is going to cost you a handful of money. Depending on how much I use it though can change how much you’re spending. For example whenever I use Uber eats I spend at least $20 or more depending on how big the meal is. Whenever I use DoorDash though, it is roughly always under. Again it may be only a couple dollar difference but if you order food that much it starts to really add up. My conclusion is is that if you’re not satisfied with your current service that you’re using or wanna different one you should definitely try DoorDash next. Don’t take my response for granted though everybody can have a different experience and if you think I’m wrong that’s fine go ahead and try something else👍

Ordered a few times...they disabled my account. Exhausted after a full day of travel, I downloaded DoorDash and ordered dinner. It was easy and timely and the delivery fee was waived over a certain amount. I used it twice after that, all within the span of a couple of weeks. One evening, I logged in and tried to order, but it wouldn’t let me complete my checkout. Thinking it was a glitch, I logged out. Upon trying to log back in, I was told my account was disabled. I reached out to DoorDash and was told that my account had been disable because of activity that “violated their terms and conditions.” Unfortunately, they will ONLY communicate via email. I scrolled their terms and conditions and saw nothing odd about it. Confused, I responded and requested additional information. Specifically, I told them that all I had done was order dinner a few times and so if there was a “violation,” I was concerned that perhaps my account had been hacked. They refused to provide details (said it was their policy not to do so) and refused to re-activate my account. So that’s fine. They can keep it. Fortunately, I’ve not seen any questionably activity on my credit card or anything. While I realize I could probably just set up a new account with a different email, it’s the point. If a customer needs info about a “violation,” especially to ensure security, you work with them. My gut is they can’t tell why my account was randomly disabled, so a T&C violation is the easy answer.

Maybe horrible service. I really had hope for this service. I was excited for this service and eager to use it. I knew 15 years ago that there was a market for this. However, I was completely disappointed the second one time I used them. I ordered from Wendy’s. I got a Dave’s double meal with fries and a coke. I also ordered a medium chocolate frosty. I was periodically checking the app to see how long untill the driver arrived, and when I saw he was 1 minute away, I went outside to meet and greet him. But for some reason, he showed up in his hands, with old a soda(a dr. Pepper I found out, instead of the coke that I ordered) and a frostee. Now, it doesn’t take a brain scientist to figure out if one leaves the restaurant with only a soda and a frostee, that maybe your missing a few things, just maybe. Who in their right mind would use door dash just to order only a soda and frostee. But no, this idiot is a few peanuts away from wearing a helmet. And then, I called customer support and sat on hold for 30 minutes! And while I was doing this, I went to help and started chatting with a “support specialist “ and of course got me nowhere. The first chat ended after the person said they would try to contact the driver. But after that, I said 10 things in chat and got no response. So I had to close everything out and started a new chat. And finally, customer service got on the phone, and big surprise guys, the person in in customer service couldn’t even speak English!

Sloppy. Recently doordash has been getting a little sloppy with order delivery and the amount of dashers in an area. I️ ordered food at 9:30pm and when they FINALLY found a driver that could bring my order to me (AT ALMOST 11pm and mind you I ordered from a fast food so my order was probably just sitting there already made) they canceled it saying there was nobody available to bring me my order. Im guessing my order reached some cut off time that doordash set up for deliveries. I wasn’t aware of the exact time but now I know from experience. I️ don’t know what this has to with anything regarding covid guidelines and such but this is terrible. I️ even ordered AHEAD of time knowing beforehand how doordash had been handling things these past few months and STILL wasn’t able to receive my order. There may be a lack of delivery drivers at night or something. I️ feel like as a customer I️ shouldn’t have to worry about “what if my order gets canceled and I️m now left without food” or “What if there’s nobody to pick it up” because if thats the case anyone would be better off just getting the food themselves but I️ ordered because I️ don’t have access to just leave and go get food. If you don’t already you should at least have something in place to where you show a cutoff delivery time because im sure I’m not the first person to experience this.

Worst date night ever thanks to this app. Decided to have a cozy night in with my husband. We thought we would try this app for a change and order in some local Thai. The initial email upon ordering was 52 minutes. At first I thought the app was quite cool how it had a timeline and capability to contact the delivery person. After about an hour of the app saying the driver was at the restaurant, I tried contacting him and the number didn’t work. The app kept extending the amount of time it was taking to get to my house. Mind you, the restaurant was only about 10 minutes from our house. Finally I tried calling the restaurant but it was closed at this point. So I used the app to contact customer support. They said they would cancel the order and refund the cost. They blamed the driver for being unprofessional. After a few minutes my credit card was charged a second time for the same amount instead of getting a refund. I was unable to contact customer support on the app anymore because there was no order history. So I had to search a phone number to contact them to resolve my credit card issue. They said the only resolution was to send them a screen shot of my credit card statement before I could be refunded the double charge. So I am starving, date night ruined, charged $49 twice for no food. Don’t use this app. Next time I will hold off on drinking a glass of wine and drive to the Thai place myself. Worst experience with an app EVER.

“Refund policy”. Ok I just needed to say this before anyone thinks of buying stuff off DoorDash. At the beginning when I started ordering from DoorDash it was cool, it was going fine. Like 4-5 orders in when I started to pay big bucks for them overpriced meals that’s when my orders kept getting cancelled and I had to constantly keep going to different restaurants. But that’s not the problem… The problem is if you pay $50 or over for a order and they forget a meal or something you had , that you spent your hard worked money on DoorDash will in fact review this. This is similar to the situation I just had and they reviewed it and said I don’t qualify for a refund. Who are you to tell me I can’t get my money back on a meal I paid half $100 for- I wanted to speak to a agent immediately because I had used up all my money on that order so I could feed my child who’s meal was missing. They told me they couldn’t refund it and ran through another investigation with “experts” and then again it was declined… I just want to say if you get your order wrong like 3-4 times you mind as we’ll delete the app because DoorDash will not give you your money back. They will then proceed to say that “ based on your record you do not qualify for a refund”. So thanks a lot to the DoorDash team for starving my child because I couldn’t even receive a refund to get my child something else.

Breakfast tale of caution!!!. I was loving this app at first, I frequently work from home and it has made delivery of my favorite foods quick and simple!! However, I placed my third door dash order today, shortly after the driver messaged me to let me know she was running late (way before the delivery time, so I’m not worried), about 5 mins later I received a message the food had been delivered (right on time, so I’m still not concerned). Looked on the front porch, no food. Messaged the driver to ask if their were issues with the address and got a simple reply of “no”. Contacted customer support and told them I didn’t receive the order or a photo confirmation of delivery like I have with my other two deliveries and was pretty sure I may have just bought their drivers breakfast. Was offered refund or redelivery, which is fine and I’m sure standard. When I questioned if leaving a photo was standard company policy, I was told they were sorry there was no photo confirmation of delivery attached to order, (which of course there will not be if the food is not delivered!), no apologies for the driver stealing my breakfast, or any indication the company has plans to do anything about the situation! Needless to say I’m a little hangry and irritated that I was treated like the one stealing something by customer support, and will not be relying on door dash for deliveries in the future!!

Doordash issues. I finally was happy that doordash delivered to my home because it makes it so easy when your busy working. I got the doordash pass since I used it all the time. The past month it hasnt had any deliveries to my home which is weird since I used it a few times aweek. I had spoken to tech support and followed instructions but it wouldnt let me order still. I deleted the app, cleared everything, restarted my phone, etc. Over and over again. Called in for help multiple times and promised it would be fixed. Each person was useless because the only info they could give me was the same but no one actually tried to help. Also, had 2 people end conversation with me and i had to speak to someone else. Then, promised they would bring it to the higher up and someone would call me or touch bases but no one did. Called back to touch bases and was told dont worry in 2 days we would have a resolution. Which by this point its been a month. Still no help and no response. Its really disappointing when you have spent so much money with a company and you make sure you tip everyone. But when it comes to you getting help or good customer service, they are highly lacking. My app currently is still not working for my hone location and will have to close my account due to no help. They should have way better customer service and people you can properly communicate with. Francis with doordash hasn’t responded or resolved the issue.

Recently- Constant issues. I have used DoorDash for years, and have loved it, until recently. Their user experience was always the best of the major delivery apps. Unfortunately, I have now had issues with missing items, wrong items, delivery times drastically changing from adding stops (delays upward of 60 minutes on multiple occasions, resulting in hangry people and cold food), or deliveries never showing up at all. Each of these typically requires a call to customer service, and they never offer help, as the online options are very limited. Most recently, I placed an order for an item that costs $56 including tax and tip. I receive the wrong item, which was around $5-$6. When I attempted to go through the app, they were offering to keep $20 of my money, plus charge me $6 for the item I didn’t want, and refund me what was left. So basically, I pay them $27 to not receive what I ordered. The only resolution left being chat, at which point I only receive a refund for my purchase after 35 minutes, and still don’t have what I ordered. This is only the most recent example. Of my last 5 orders, 4 have resulted in needing some type of refund for missing items or missing entire deliveries. This doesn’t even account for the delays of 30-90 minutes from initial time estimate. I was huge advocate for DoorDash for years, but they have seriously changed for the worse in the past few months.

Don’t bother with delivery. My first few orders with DashPass were great (faster than expected delivery time and food was always hot). Then I had the occasional order delays. This has progressed to food being marked as delivered when it wasn’t. Most recently, the dasher picked up my meal, the app indicated the driver was one minute away and then the map began updating to show the driver further and further away, driving in circles. I assumed the driver was lost (no message about completing another delivery as had observed previously) and tried to message that I was available to provide directions. Then the driver got on a state highway and drove out of the city. The app updated to say the driver was at most 7 minutes away, but realistically they were at least 20. The driver had possession of my meal for over half an hour at this point. Then began the nightmare of trying to get the delivery canceled. When I finally got a hold of a customer service rep, they said the driver was completing another order first. I can see completing an order that adds 5-10 minutes and is within a reasonable geographic zone but not adding over half an hour. This is the opposite of quality assurance and I would consider this to be a potential public health issue. I was able to reorder, walk to the restaurant and home before the dasher would have made it back into the city after dealing with customer service. DashPass is fine for order and pickup. Don’t waste your money on their delivery fees.

App and service needs changing. DoorDash’s service is quite frustrating If i am honest. I have used it five times and each time there has been a serious issue. The first two times I ordered something, I wasn’t notified of the food being picked up or the order being processed until I got a call and hour later by an angry driver who had been waiting outside. I was then met with only half of my order, I contacted the driver (no response) and customer service, who gave me a $3 credit for a $40 order. The other three times the order times for the food took twice as long as they were supposed to. Now this may have been due to busy restaurants or whatever, but again the app once I order gets stuck on “processing your order” and I have no idea what the true update is. These other three times I was in contact with a representative who kept apologizing and trying to give me credits and cancel the order after I had waited for two hours. I just wanted the food and it eventually came, cold and again with items missing, so I spent $40-70 ont these and did not even get my full order. I try to keep my faith in this service but time and time again it has let me down. The app desperately needs to be changed, and the customer service needs to not constantly apologize and help their customers find their order rather than throw credits in our face.

If you want to be treated like a fool, use Door Dash. I ordered two servings from two restaurants and I only got one. It was a simple matter, my claim was just a refund. I was full of patience at first, I first contacted the delivery person, who refused my contact. Then I went to customer service, who was so bad that they told me I couldn't get a refund and quit the chat without waiting for me to finish my sentence. I patiently contacted one by one until one customer service told me that their EXPERT team would handle it and soon I received an email refusing the refund. I was surprised because I thought it couldn't be any simpler as the delivery person only had one serving of food in the photo they uploaded after delivering the meal. I kept contacting customer service after that and they still quit the group chat before I could finish telling them what happened. I was really angry at this point and this kind of attitude towards customers really made me sick. I still continued to contact customer service until one customer service told me he had filed another request with the so called expert team and told me to wait for an email. So two weeks went by with no news. When I contacted them again they gave the reason that they couldn't refund me because it had taken too long. I am really very angry, is this kind of service possible for human beings to do? I paid for service, not angry to exploding veins and icy attitude.

Deceptive Customer Service when requesting resolution for undelivered food. Major watch out on how DoorDash handles the situation when the Dasher never brings the food. This happened to me and I used their customer service team. The customer service team said sorry it looks like the dasher delivered it to the wrong address and asked if I just wanted her to process the order again so that it can be delivered. What she did not clarify was that she would not be refunding me for my original order, she was in fact charging me again for another order. I spent hours trying to get a refund, cancelled the 2nd order because I got suspicious that something was up when I looked at the app and it was not reflecting what they were telling me. They eventually told me I would get a full refund to my bank account for both orders and I double checked with them several times that this would not be a “door dash credit”...it’s been a couple weeks and no refund to my account, just door dash credit. I don’t want to go through the ordeal of customer service again so I’m forced to use up $66 in doordash credit now instead of getting the money back into my account. I’m hoping I don’t get a bad Dasher again, after I’ve used up my $66, not using DoorDash again. By the way I don’t think the Dasher delivered to the wrong address, I called the Dasher’s number immediately after the app said the food was delivered and it wasn’t...the Dasher rejected the call and ignored my text.

Delivery drivers don’t ever follow instructions. Every time I have ordered, I have put in the instructions to not knock or ring the doorbell, and to just leave it at the doorstep (you get a notification once they mark they dropped it off anyway), but they bang on the door or ring the doorbell when they drop it off anyway. Today I ordered food to my new place, which is a basement apartment accessed from the back yard. I explicitly said in both my address and in my order instructions that my door is on the back side of the house (which has a very clear and obvious path around it), and instructed them not to knock or ring the doorbell. Anticipating the same instruction ignorance issue as previous orders, I even sent a message through the app to the driver to tell them to bring it around the back. Lo and behold when my order arrived, the driver ignored both of my instructions and my message and rang the doorbell of the front door. This is incredibly stupid because I am assigning the tip before the order comes by the design of the app. I am happy to give a good rip for good service, but there is no recourse or accountability for the delivery driver to follow any instructions, because their tip is guaranteed. If I am giving a tip and I put instructions down, and I’m not asking for anything irrational (literally just bring it to the correct door and don’t knock), those instructions should be followed. It isn’t hard. Not one of my drivers has followed instructions. It’s absurd.

moving to uber eats. this app is REALLY bad.. first off, you have to tip before your order has even been delivered, so even if your order didn’t come, had missing items, or came an hour late; the dasher still gets tipped for bad service. every time i use doordash it’s a gamble that my order will even show up at ALL. at the beginning when my orders wouldn’t come; costumer service was helpful and gave me credits to compensate for my missing order, and i was perfectly okay with that. after i had used this app for a long time, i ordered food and it never showed up, even though the dasher confirmed that it We are sorry that you had a disappointing experience using our service. Unfortunately, we are unable to approve your request due to the amount of recently processed compensation on your account(s). (this was copied and pasted from the email i received) basically after you have been using this app for a long time, doordash thinks it’s okay to take your money without providing any service, and there is nothing you can do about it. really disappointed in this app since i used it all the time. definitely moving to uber eats, i have never had a problem there and everything has come perfect and on time.

Payment Method Error. I have been using this app for several years now & I love using this app. Up until recently whenever I try to place an order, I keep getting this message saying “Whoops, try a different payment method.” The first time it happened, I called & spoke to support, they were very helpful, escalated the situation & it got fixed the next day & I was able to use as normal. Then about a week later, when I tried to use it again, I got the same error message again. I contact support through the chat & over the phone & have not been able to get any help. There is nothing wrong with my cards, they work everywhere else just fine I have tried Apple Pay, adding different cards, I did an update on my phone & the app, I deleted the app & downloaded again & STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM!! I even bought a gift card THROUGH THE DOORDASH APP MIND YOU, redeemed the gift in the app to give myself a credit & I STILL GET THE SAME MESSAGE WHEN TRYING TO PLACE AN ORDER!! So I have $25 stuck in the app that I can’t even use!! I have done all the troubleshooting that can be done & still having the same problem! Hopefully some in upper management sees this review & fixes the issue with app.

Horrible company. I placed an order at Krystal at 8:23. I noticed that my order was taking longer than it should have and contacted support before it was delivered to check when I would receive my order because no dasher had been assigned. I explained to the agent that the order was taking too long and that I don’t stay too far from the restaurant and that I don’t want to receive my order cold. She reassured me that she would call the restaurant to check, at first she couldn’t get in contact with the restaurant and then when she was finally able to. The agent told me that restaurant was avoiding the questions being asked but reassured me that my order had been picked and to call if there was any problems. Because I was concerned about the temperature of my food since it had at least been an hour, I asked the dasher if he check to make sure the food was hot and he said okay. 9:22 comes and I receive my order and it was freezing cold. So not only did the dasher not check or not care but then when I contacted support like I was told. I was told they couldn’t do anything giving my refund history( which I wouldn’t have if I received quality orders that wasn’t cold or missing items). I explained to the agent that I had contacted not only support but the dasher beforehand to avoid this. He still responded with he couldn’t do anything. So had my food been warm in the first place I wouldn’t have needed a refund.

It’s okay. I’ve been using door dash for a while now and it’s been a very mixed experience. I pay for dash pass and have still really yet to determine just how beneficial it really is. A good 60% of the time my orders are on time and at least mostly correct. However for a good amount of time now I’ve had a lot of trouble with dashers. Many of them are on their own time schedule and see the delivery times more as suggestions than the time the food should be there. I’ve waited over half an hour past the estimated delivery time and because of that had nothing to eat during my lunch break at work. The most frustrating thing I’ve experienced on this app is that drivers now can pick up other orders “in the area” of your order, and even if your order was the first picked up they’ll take it on a ride to their other delivery(s) while your food gets nice and cold for you. Also, the good majority of restaurants that I’ve seen on here do not take special instructions at all. This means that, for example, if you want extra sour cream on something but they don’t specifically have an option for it to be selected as an add on to the item, you’re just out of luck. This can be very disappointing and I’ve not ordered things and gone and grabbed it myself because of this. Overall it’s an alright app. I just hope they make the customer more of a priority to their dashers.

Love The Service, Hate The App. When I first downloaded DoorDash it was an amazing experience. Well developed app that worked quickly and was easy to navigate, the service was incredible, overwhelmingly positive. Then they decided to update the app. This, is where they made the biggest mistake. The app wouldn’t update times of stores opening and closing properly, wouldn’t process orders, took forever to load, a hot mess. They updated it a few times more, still wasn’t better. Then an update FINALLY came along that would let me actually log into my account (yes. I tried resetting my password even though it was right. 3 times.) and place an order. This was the previous update to the one they just released this month or so. Unfortunately once again, total garbage software !!!! Wouldn’t process Apple Pay or certain stores, won’t let me cancel an order, never updating to the map with the ETA.. and the thing is is that, the service is unwaveringly great! The people they hire aren’t sketchy, they’re very reliable and will call you up if there’s an issue, and are very very kind and efficient. When the app doesn’t work it ruins the whole experience on the ordering and interacting with the store end. The app was fine to begin with !!! Stop changing it !!!! Update it to where everything is running smoothly then just leave it alone !!!! 9/6/18

Terrible service. Use of door dash would be so convenient if only the drivers who are hired actually do their jobs. Had a driver tell me he left my food at the laundry room because he couldn’t find my number! Which is literally on my mailbox in big Numbers. Lately I’ve had to use door dash for busy week at work and school. I have now realized that when using the app it’s not able to give you options or choices you normally are able to do at the restaurant. They don’t let you know something is unavailable until you pick up your order and get home and open up your food because they sure don’t tell you at the restaurant when walk in and pick it up. Yet door dash will conveniently make sure to charge you and when you call the have the RUDEST customer service. Make sure to take photos of what you receive or don’t receive because it’s as if they don’t believe you. The other day ordered chipotle and ordered kids meal inside kids meal was only beans !!! My kid was so hungry and I was on my lunch I had no time to go back and get this fixed. we have found door dash to be a waste of time and money. Your better off making a lunch or going in and ordering your own food.

Awful app. To start off I have spent 250+ dollars on the app and have used it numerous times and have repeatedly had horrible drivers and customer service the delivery drivers take an absurd amount of time I ordered once and they driver sat outside the fast food place for 30 minutes and and then took 25 minutes to get to my house when it was only a 10 minute drive and every time they forget a drink or a side and I point it out to the driver and he/she never speaks fluent English and mumbles that they didn’t have it or some other nonsense and I have also had orders that look like food had been taken out of it or when I ordered a large and they bring a small instead and tell me that McDonald’s doesn’t have a large fry when they clearly do. Over all of this I let it slide until they started charging my debit card 10 dollars a month for a “dash pass” that I never consented to and I canceled it 2 times and still they charge me for it and I try to remove my card from my account but there is no where in the app that I can remove my card so they can keep charging me. I am very angry at how bad the customer/deliver service is in this company sincerely unimpressed can confidently say I will never order from door dash again
