First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby.... I absolutely love this app! I use it everyday: when I first started to plan to conceive with my husband I was looking for an app that had more than just “cute pictures”. I wanted an informative app that would truly guide me. Once we conceived (5 ways and 5 days ^_^) it became obvious that this was the app to have! I have the daily community which is amazing! You can upload your questions and feel thy you’re not alone because you instantly have replies from women who are going or went through everything you’re experiencing. You also have tips as to why to eat, so to work out, cleaning supplies around the house. You also have the amazing daily tracker of everything! How you’re feeling, what you’re feeling, BP readings, weight tracker and so much more! Don’t waste your money and time on these other apps!

Easy, basic, and I loved it my whole pregnancy!. I’d been using the Ovia app for my period for years, so when I got pregnant I switched to the pregnancy app. It was so simple to use, and I loved the familiarity of the app having come from using their fertility app. The simplicity I think is what I really liked, simple but certainly enough! I loved the little images to show how big baby is compared to your hand or a seed per say. The little feet, it was a nice touch. I didn’t use the kick counter tbh because once I could feel my daughter kick, she basically never stopped moving. She was kicking so much it just didn’t make sense to try and record it all 😅. But anyways if you need the kick counter it works super great, and there’s all sorts of supportive and informational articles through the app that I appreciated. It helped me get my breast pump as well which was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Really enjoy this app but.... This is a great pregnancy app to use and track things along your long 9 months. It has great features and is very easy and intuitive to use. I enjoy most of the articles that come across the feed. My favorite feature is tracking the baby’s size and growth, especially with the fun size comparisons. However, there are a few downsides. Despite having entered my special conditions in that page, the app always asks me if I’ve reported said condition to my doctor when I track it. On multiple occasions this has happened. Second, after February, the app stopped showing the icons in the calendar for the days I logged data. The bars for each day and plus sign for doctors appointments don’t show up anymore, even after numerous updates. It’s a little frustrating because I cannot see what days I tracked already or what days my appointments are. Other than those issues, I’m enjoying the app. I cannot find another way to report the issues I’ve been having to Ovia, so hopefully seeing this review will suffice.

So in love with OviaPregnancy App!. Well with this being my first pregnancy and come to find out, I’m having twin girls, I had so many questions and concerns. So I downloaded about 5 pregnancy apps before this one and this one takes the cake easily for me. There’s sooo many amazing features to this app! Some of my favorites being: The information it provides about my baby, the details of every symptom I’m able to document everyday throughout my pregnancy, and the cutest themes I’m able to pick from! I didn’t know let alone think about how effective a good pregnancy app could be during one of the most beautiful yet hardest moments of my life. Thank you so much for all you’ve put in this app to make us mommy’s to be feel so prepared and at ease! Most of all thank you for the support I feel when I scroll through it everyday!

Overall great - a few small notes. Love this app! It is user friendly gives me plenty of info but isn’t overwhelming! I love that I can log all my data in one central point but what would make this app better is to have that data more usable. For example, I log my weight and I can’t see a summary of my weight gain to date to see if I’m on track. There is a tending section but the graph only shows the last few says and you have to scroll to get more data. It would be more helpful to have all my weight entries in a complete log or to actually have the app calculate for me. Similarly if my goal is 4 workouts a week it would be helpful to see when I’ve met that goal or when I haven’t. The app has great information and I do like having one central place I input all my data but it’s bit frustrating that I can’t get all that data back out in a useful way.

Best pregnancy app ever!. This app gives you daily updates as well as weekly updates about your baby and about your body. It tells you what to expect and It’s so accurate. You see weekly illustrations of what the baby’s growing body looks like and also it has little growth charts of hands & feet as well. I check the app everyday because I love seeing the daily updates of how the baby is evolving. It’s really neat and informative. You can check updates from the weeks ahead which is nice because I like to be prepared and you can track everything. I put all my appointments in the calendar for this app. The calendar is also convenient because you can skip ahead to certain dates and it will tell you how far along you will be at that time. Love this app and can’t recommend it enough!

Okay but misinformation and advertising agendas abound. Way way waaaaay too many ads in general but especially so for the same, narrow topics like cord blood banking. It’s something many parents don’t and won’t do, and the proliferation of ads for it just makes me want to do it even less. It smacks of cheesy marketing scam. The information really dumbs down things and makes me feel like I’m in the wrong, non-scientific app geared to airheads. I don’t know many women I consider airheads, so I really don’t know who this is for. Also topics like “are sit-ups safe?” are sorely misinformed. Sure, yes of course they’re safe for the baby up to a point at which sure there’s a minor risk of reducing blood flow while on one’s back. But they’re extraordinarily damaging for the pelvic floor and directly cause diastasis recti in many women and people in general. And then of course there are absolutely random posts like “what is bipolar disorder?” — not a topic that is very relevant for most first trimester women. Like why are we even talking about it? That’s said, interface is cute enough and modern enough. I like the “my baby is this size” comparisons by week, and the app is generally inclusive of various types of relationships, genders etc.

What a fascinating guide and companion during this amazing trip of pregnancy. Since I found out we were pregnant, I was finding myself all the time googling stuff on the internet to find answers, since all of these is SO new to me. Ovia Pregnancy app is an amazing companion and support system for me since then. They have personalized content for you, with updates on your little one, updates on you as a mommy, as well as a great systematic approach to what to expect. They even have a list of medications you are and are not supposed to take. Every morning, I can’t wait to see on the baby’s update on its development, and after using it for almost two months, I haven’t still explored all the wonderful sections that they have for you. My husband had to download the app to, so he would see everything for himself. The only drawback- which might actually be available, I just haven’t been able to find it in the app- is that it would be nice if the spouse could get a link (?) or something and get the same personalized profile, so we have everything the same.. I don’t want to forget to mention that this absolutely fabulous app is for free and without major advertisements. Great job and hope all new and not new moms’ pregnancies are happy and smooth, with lots of sleep and food.

This is THE app to use!. I downloaded another popular app when I became pregnant and quickly got burned out on it - it was all advertisements and fashion advice. I downloaded Ovia and WOW am I glad I was still in the 1st trimester when I found it. The interface is user friendly, the content is truly about my health and the health of my baby, not about what other people think or what I should be wearing. I love being encouraged to log my food and vitamins, and have truly been eating more intentional foods since starting it. It’s encouraging, informative, and my husband even got to subscribe to the daily emails! It helps him feel involved and he has been following the recommendations for nutrition by going to the grocery store for me without me even having to ask- the app is telling him what we need! Love this app! The only function I wish it had was an option for a more detailed food log, and the ability to list more specific high-risk categories that aren’t preloaded. I’m high risk with a connective tissue and joint hyper mobility disorder but there’s currently no option to record it as it’s uncommon.

Flexibly useful. I’m nearly 18 weeks pregnant and have been using Ovia every day for months. When I first found out I was pregnant I installed five different pregnancy apps. Ovia quickly became my favorite because the health tracking is so flexible and intuitive. I’ve been tracking my sleep, weight, and symptoms, and ignore the parts I’m not interested in tracking (e.g. mood, nutrition, exercise). I also like that there’s a nice-length article each week and some daily content that isn’t too overwhelming. On the cons, sometimes the app takes a while to load, or to load the health tracking page. The daily questions of if I’m taking my prenatal vitamin got REALLY annoying really quickly, so now I just click “yes” on whatever question pops up when I first open the app to get past it quickly in the morning before I’ve forgotten my sleep hours. I think this has given the app some false data. My biggest qualm though is that I can’t seem to export my tracking data. I can’t believe this isn’t an option! The app only lets you graph a few variables over time (weight, sleep—though not your total sleep if you log multiple stints of sleep a night—activity, steps, blood pressure, and nutrition) and I am just itching to make my own graphs of some of my symptoms over time. The fact that it looks like I’m going to have to pull the data out manually is a HUGE bummer. I’m hoping this becomes part of the app in the near future.

Awesome app with more features than I know what to do with!. Love this app! It doesn’t have all the cute daily facts about your little one (“today baby weighs as much as a bag of flour”). BUT it has all of the useful, logical, helpful information you could need. At first I was overwhelmed with how much was on here but as I’ve used it for months I’ve come to love it. I logged high blood pressure on it and it checked on me twice to make sure I contacted my OB and even offered to call through the app. The food safety look up? A first trimester moms best friend!! Now I’m using the contraction timer and kick counter and absolutely love them! Again, this isn’t my fun go to app in the morning for fun, cute facts. But it’s absolutely keeping my pregnancy on track and helping me feel more in control. Definitely recommend!!

Love it but..... I have really enjoyed this app a lot! I love seeing different things that my baby is the size of each week. The last 2-3 months though have been very frustrating!! Every single time I first try to open the app, the loading page appears for a good 30-40 seconds and then the app just closes itself. Usually trying a second time works just fine, but now there have been a couple days over the past week where the app will just keep closing itself no matter how many times i try! First of all the loading page lasts way too long... second of all why should i have this app taking up space on my phone if it is just going to choose not to work whenever it feels like it! One of the couple days i had just mentioned, i was at the store and wanted to use the food safety lookup...in Heinz sight i should have just used safari because i knew even if it was working like usual (second try access success) that would still be a full minute or more of waiting for it to just load!!! Safari takes less than a quarter of that time! Please fix this problem as i still love everything else about this app!

There are problems that should be easily fixed. I got this app, along with a bunch of other apps, when I took the test and found out I was pregnant. I’m now nine weeks, and this app is one I use everyday. Now I like it for many reason, it’s cute, it’s easy to navigate and use, and it has the potential to be very useful when a few things get fixed. The sleep tracking, I can track more than one stretch of sleep a night. So if I wake up say at 2 am and can’t get back to sleep until 4am, but I slept from 10pm-2am and 4am to 7am, it’ll say I only got three hours of sleep that night. That includes if I want to track naps. In the day to day it says my running total but on the graph it only graphs my last stretch of sleep. Also the hours are horrendous wrong sometimes. Just this morning I tried to track last nights sleep from 10:30pm to 7:30 am and it said 21 hours? That’s ridiculous it was 9 hours. And yes I double checked my am/pm they were correct. So that all could use fixing. The constantly asking me of vaginal bleeding and other pop up questions that I’m going to input later, like my prenatals. There should be an option to shut that off (like a don’t ask again pop up maybe) And the feet/hands thing. Is that really accurate size? I hope that’s comparable on all phones, and isn’t something that changes depending on what iPhone or Samsung you have.

Great for Normal Pregnancies!. This is my second pregnancy and time using this app. Overall, it’s great! However, I wish the app would better customize when it asks you about certain conditions you might have (and you answer yes). I suffer from HG in my pregnancies and it’s s but disheartening to receive constant reminders about ‘morning sickness being normal’ or ‘should be over now’ or ‘even if you can’t eat, you should find ways to supplement anyway.’ If the app is smart enough to ask whether an expecting mom has HG, it would be nice to know that the app would use that information in its feeds. Also, better historical tracking of a previous pregnancy would be lovely! I seemingly lost all of the data from my last when I indicated I was pregnant again. Bummer! Still, this app is hands down better than things I compared. And HG is more rare so also take that comment with a grain of salt as a general user. Use it!

Tough for those who have lost pregnancies. This app does its job. However, I’ve had two miscarriages and given how common pregnancy loss is, I’d hope and expect an app like this to do less emotional manipulation, for lack of a better term (and that admittedly sounds too aggressive). When I check my fetus’s growth, for example, it says it’s the size of a raspberry, but “you can be sure that baby will get bigger!” After a pregnancy loss, you can’t be sure. Reading this just sends me into a dark place that could be avoided. Why not just say the facts and let us feel how we want with the information? I only use the app to track data because of it. Update - this app is free but it is clunky. I’ve now been exposed enough to the world of pregnancy that I’m no longer tolerating what amounts to judgmental and pushy agendas. I feel like this app is geared toward a specific straight white woman with fantastic resources and never ending bank account. I’m sick of being hounded with the same “have you taken your prenatal today?” questions. If I want to log info, I’ll log it. Moving on.

Ovia is the only pregnancy app to use, period!. I have used Ovia for all of my pregnancies! I’ve literally been using Ovia for years and have never tried a different app because this one is just so great and has everything I need. While pregnant I can check it daily for updates on my baby, tips and healthy food options, and can track how I’m feeling, my weight, exercise and so much more. It really helps when your foggy pregnancy brain forgets things or when it’s been a few years since you had a baby and just need a refresher. I also really love the food safety look up! I use it constantly. This is seriously a woman’s best friend during pregnancy. Also check out their fertility app (used that with two of my pregnancies) and they’re parenting app! I couldn’t recommend Ovia more!

Unbelievably Amazing. Hello to-be moms, Congratulations! if you are pregnant and have already downloaded Ovia Pregnancy, you know that it’s a holy grail. For those who are thinking to download and are reading this review, then please go ahead and do it ASAP. You would not regret. My mom is thousands miles away to take care of me during pregnancy or give me advice on dos and don’ts. Ovia my coolest friend have been doing that all. I am a researcher and know well how to read. None of the information it gives you for week by week pregnancy is unsourced. There are great articles by CDC and American medical association that shows how reliable all information is. It emotionally helps you keep healthy. I can write as much as I want but I want you to explore yourself, rather reading and enjoy every bit of your pregnancy. Love from one to be mom to all.

Best Option Out There!. I used this app throughout my entire pregnancy, from when I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks all the way up until the day of my induction at 39 weeks. They kept track of my appointments and ultrasounds, I was even able to add photos of my ultrasound pictures! I was able to update my baby bump picture and loved getting to choose between 4 different themes at which they compared the size of the baby. (Ie fruits, games, etc). You can choose different styles dependent on your preference like grey stripes, polka dots, even dinosaurs! They give you daily updates on your babies development and even telling you what’s happening to your body and what to expect in the upcoming weeks! They provide all kinds of links to verified clinical websites to tell you about your pregnancy and your body and care about your mental and physical health too! I definitely recommend this app. I wish I was having another baby, I’d totally use this again, unfortunately this is my last. After birth Ovia has other apps that you can use your account with to keep track of your health and your babies!

Best Pregnancy app by FAR. This app is amazing. I downloaded all of the free apps I could find involving pregnancy because I’m going to be a first time mom. Ovia does an amazing job of taking a little of every type of app (informational, social, health, etc.) and making it extremely easy to use. I also love that when posting in the community, everyone is anonymous. I think it makes asking for help and being honest about what you’re going through, so much easier. I also underestimated how much asking questions would help. It’s great that, as an inexperienced woman that doesn’t know what to expect in a pregnancy, I can ask other people if what I am experiencing is normal. You can also change the background to fit a theme, you can change what they compare the baby’s size to, and all sorts of customizations. Not only does this app track how I’m feeling, tell me more about my pregnancy and it’s symptoms, and help me connect with others, but it also takes a load of stress off of me. It’s a life saver.

Great app. Found this app via my employer. Really great app. It tracks food, weight, symptoms and many other things. App has many articles that are informative and educational. I love how I can track the babies weekly and gives you information about the baby on a day to day basis. Overall a great app. I would highly recommend. I gave it three stars because even though my settings were set for multiples the app followed a single birth pregnancy. It really doesn’t cater to twins. It would of been cool if my home page was automatically set with multiples pictures with two sets of hands and feet. I would of enjoyed opening the app and seeing two babies next to each other with an idea of how big they are at the current week. Adding my babies names to the app was VERY disappointing because it only allowed me to put it one name. It also doesn’t list all of the complications in pregnancy nor can you add it. It is a bit annoying. Same goes for medications. Other than that app is great. I would highly recommend.

Best Pregnancy App Available!. Currently 13w pregnant, and let me tell you, this is the best app I’ve tried. Other apps have some cool features, but OviaPregnancy is all around great. Cool trackers, different themes, and good advice. There’s even a medicine and food safety lookup. And for day’s I forget to take my prenatal, Ovia reminds me in the app! Also, Ovia’s week by week sizing seems the most accurate to what a doctor might tell you. Other apps I’ve used are all over the place with their sizes. Sometimes a week ahead or behind common size comparisons. I can’t believe this app is free. AMAZING. Used the regular Ovia app before getting pregnant, and I’ll be using the Ovia Parenthood app for when baby is here. Not sure if that’s that exact name, but I’m sure it’s an amazing app too! 10/10 would recommend this Ovia! Note: The one bug I ran into (milestone pictures not saving) was fixed right away. Not sure others had the same problem, but I thought it was worth a mention.

Favorite Pregnancy Apps. I tried a few different pregnancy apps and this is by far my favorite. You can see illustrations of your baby at different stages, check whether certain foods or medicines are safe during pregnancy, track your weight and symptoms, post questions to a community forum of other Ovia users and so much more! Every time I think, “I wish Ovia had this...” I find it seconds later, it’s so useful. My favorite features are that you see the typical, “at 20 weeks your baby is the size of a coconut” baby-size analogies but additionally you can select to see Parisian bakery analogies, animal analogies and ‘fun and games’ analogies. My husband likes that last one because he doesn’t know how big a leek is but he can visualize a GI Joe action figure, it helps him feel included in the pregnancy. All in all, great app, I would 100% recommend it.

Far and away the best pregnancy tracker!. This is THE best pregnancy app! I think I have downloaded just about all of them, and this I’ve outshines them all. On the calendar view page you can track pregnancy symptoms, moods, activities, record milestones, add doctor’s appointments + reminders, and create notes. There is charting functionality that pulls from the data entered on the calendar for weight gain/blood pressure/sleep/activity and more. There is also a wealth of articles and resources. The data you enter on the calendar creates a personalized feed on the homepage, which also includes baby’s daily development information. If you love data and tracking your pregnancy in a simple and extremely user-friendly app, but also want a wide variety of functions, this is the right one! Especially given that it is free! Compared to so many apps, the free functionality is completely awesome. Five stars!!

Love Ovia!. I love the Ovia apps; I started off with Ovia fertility, and, well, a month later I was pregnant! So I switched to Ovia pregnancy and love this one as well! I'm giving it 4 stars though, just because I think there's room for improvement in the community aspect. For asking questions, I understand the anonymity aspect, but moms-to-be also like to connect with others, so being able to create a public profile/username and having a community where you could connect would be a great addition. As it is, some users try to connect via the questions, but that doesn't really work... Plus honestly, not everyone knows how to ask a question. That seems silly to say I'm sure, but all my thesis classes from college are coming back to me, so when they don't give the appropriate options for answers (like forgetting a "doesn't apply" when asking a yes/no question, for example) I'm like ugh! But anyways, apart from that aspect it's great; I look forward to checking the daily update each day and I love the different themes for size comparisons - Parisian bakery for me! (Because our honeymoon was in Paris and I'm a definite Francophile.) Besides, not everyone wants to compare their baby to fruits and veggies. =) At the start of a new week in my pregnancy my husband and I look together to see the new comparison, how much her hand grew, and read the updates! It added to the anticipation of her arrival. The only pregnancy app I use.

It’s a great app but .... Don’t get me wrong, this is one of my favorite pregnancy apps out there! I use it a lot to keep track of my baby’s growth, my upcoming doctor appointments, and so much more!! That being said, let me explain why I gave this app 3/5 stars ... THE COMMUNITY CAN BE TOTALLY TOXIC!! Being a new mommy-to-be, I do admit, I can ask a lot of questions about simple things that every already mommy will know. But not me! I barely know all the right things and the wrong things to do! And having almost every comment on my questions being another soon-to-be mother/already a mother belittle me?? It’s not okay!! I really wish there was a way to block someone or multiple people from commenting on my questions. It really tears me down to hear by multiple other people how stupid you are when all you’re trying to do is ask a simple question??? I don’t understand. Please do something about this developers. Other than that, the app is great. And don’t get me wrong, there really can be some great, polite and helpful people on this app!! Just a few rotten apples... thank you!!

Lots of Resources & Info. I’m newly pregnant and decided to download all the pregnancy tracking apps because I have so many questions. Ovia was the most informative and helpful app out of all of them. The coolest thing is that they get you a free breast pump and free belly band with Aeroflow with your insurance! I think that is so helpful for new moms or any mom who needs it! It also asks lots of health questions and helps you not only track baby but also tracking your prenatal appointments. It reminds me to take my prenatal vitamins and it tells me daily information about how the baby is forming and growing. I love this app. I never would have known that I can literally get a free pump through insurance and who knows what else. They also have an option to set up a registry and you’ll get a free gift but I already have one so I’d rather not go through making another haha. If you’re curious about lots of info I highly recommend. There’s also a newsfeed where other moms ask questions and lots and lots of articles with info on food and medicine safety. I look up random food items all the time and it’s really helpful for that paranoia I have about doing the wrong thing. It has information on mental health education and mental health resources. As well as general health and prenatal health. I think it’s all around the best app out there.

Like it, but needs improvements on articles. This is one of my favorite pregnancy apps for tracking the baby’s progress. I like how you can also put in doctors appointments, track weight, BP, etc. The daily reminders for prenatal vitamins helps if you’re the sort of person who might forget. However there are rarely any articles to read other than the weekly updates. I go to Bump or even What to Expect (which I typically don’t like) apps to read through when I’m bored but want to do baby stuff— since they tend to have way more articles. I wish Ovia did too. My biggest complaint is how much this app emphasizes post partum depression. Don’t get me wrong— it’s a serious issue and it’s good that the app educates you about it. But honestly, more than half the updates towards the end of the pregnancy are about depression, or baby blues, or mental health issues... I’ve read all of the articles and tip prompts several times by this point, and I’m just sick of it. The app is honestly making me feel like I’m guaranteed to have PPD no matter what, so I should be stressed about it every time I open the app for the last two months. I really wish they toned it down a bit, gave you the option to turn it off, or at least had some other sorts of articles to read (but they don’t ☹️).

Does not handle pregnancy loss in a good way. I’m leaving this review in the hopes that the developers will take this as feedback and consider making this app more friendly for people who have experienced pregnancy loss. I’ve used this app to keep track of my two pregnancies that both ended with miscarriages. I was devastated the first time and honestly the app made me feel worse. The design flow off the app needs to better consider users who are going through this and maybe give them the option to delete their data or archive it so they can refer back to it but not have their lost pregnancy in their face after reporting the loss. Also the language in the app telling women how big their baby should be and milestones are worded as if it’s 100% true. Instead of saying “your baby is the size of x” I think it should be worded like “your baby might be…” “is possibly” because there is variation in development and it set me up to be disappointed when I went for my ultrasound and the app was so wrong. Using the app after a loss made me annoyed at the certainty of the language and I take it all with a grain of salt. Maybe apps like this aren’t for me. Just please interview people like me and try to make it a better experience for us. Thanks

Ovia EVERYTHING apps are AMAZING. I used this Ovia pregnancy app for my pregnancy with my daughter, and I absolutely adored it... Afterwards, I used the Ovia fertility app to track my periods and eventually become pregnant again... And now I'm using the Ovia pregnancy app during THIS pregnancy with my son. I can't say enough great things about all of the Ovia apps... I'm not sure I'd change a THING except maybe more videos of other pregnant women, or message boards about where to find cute maternity clothes, and other things like that, I.e. people comparing breast pumps, reviewing different products, toys, diapers -- especially advice from experienced moms to FTM... Other than that-- by FAR the best pregnancy app. My favorite parts are seeing the comparison of baby's size to different things like animals, toys, and food... I also love that the app keeps us motivated and tells us we're doing an awesome job... I know it sounds cheesy, but I like hearing that my app cares about how I'm feeling and how I'm doing and is rooting for me and baby. Extra positivity in any situation is always great! I would give 10 STARS if I could! P.s. I can't believe how accurate each weekly video is when talking about what symptoms we may be experiencing. Every single week is spot on!!

Feels like a constant survey. I’m sure the way they monetize is by sharing user data. They constantly are asking questions like “do you struggle with mental health?” “Have you ever had a miscarriage?” “How many children do you have?” Not just on the main page, but there is a whole page dedicated to survey questions! Yay! Exactly what my pregnant, tired, sad, self wants to do when I’m looking for a little support and place not to feel so crazy. Answer really personal questions that are shared with, who knows?:D The answer section doesn’t even become a forum where pregnant mommas can discuss and support each other until you literally fill out the bubble form survey to answer the questions. I love the daily updates you get on the baby, but when you constantly feel like you’re being scraped for data it really puts a haze over your enjoyment of the app. Oh. And the adds. The adds that are “research articles” and are every other picture on the main feed. I get the app has to make money, but there’s gotta be a more user-kind way.

best pregnancy app, no click bait. i tried all of the major pregnancy apps, and ovia is the only one i am still subscribed to and have on my phone at 8.5 months. all of the other apps constantly bombarded me with ads and click bait about the “10 things you’re eating that are harming your baby” or “5 things you need to stop doing NOW to have a healthy baby”. the ads were one thing, but the articles about what to do and not do on the other apps are often unsupported by medical literature. Ovia doesn’t try to give me anxiety about eating anything, shame me for not doing certain things, and doesn’t present me with information that is unsupported by doctors and the medical literature. i highly recommend this app for any mom that gets anxiety from all the click bait on the other apps.

Love It. This is my first baby so I figured an app would help keep me sane. I went through 3 or 4 before I stumbled upon Ovia, and I didn’t have a single second thought when I started using this app. It’s easy, it’s sensible, you can control notifications, and you can put whatever information you have and you don’t have to worry if you don’t have the information it asks for because you can always skip it. This has helped me keep track of my baby’s growth and development much better than other apps. I tried a couple of the themes and finally settled on fruits and vegetables, but the other themes were just as cute. And I particularly love the mom/parent chat available. It’s very helpful for first time moms that have worries but don’t want to go to the doctor right away. It’s a wonderful app. I hope everyone else using or considering using it has as an experience as good as I have had.

Easy but basic. By far the best pregnancy app out there! The kick counter and contraction timers are GREAT. I adore the growing hand and foot images as well, so precious and it just helps the whole experience of pregnancy feel more real. I also really appreciate the anonymous community feature as well! On my of biggest frustrations with other apps is questions being ignored/unseen because I wasn’t a “top member.” I do have two other apps as well but each only serve one purpose. If Ovia would include these, they’d be a one stop shop far superior to the others! I use Pregnancy+ solely for the 3D realistic baby. It just helps me feel connected to my baby to know and what he might be looking like each weak. The other is app I use is The Bump. Similarly to Pregnancy+ there’s a more realistic visual. I love that I can see the baby in relation to my own body. It’s highly informative and helps keep my anxiety at bay. I also notice that The Bumps size comparisons seem to be a bit more in line with what I’ve seen online, though I do SO LOVE that you can change the theme of the size comparison with Ovia. Overall, Ovia is the #1 app I would (and do) recommend to all my expecting friends and family.

Great App but Update Left Something to be Desired. I have really enjoyed using this app for my first pregnancy! I like the week by week articles, the fun themes, and the tools like the symptom checker and food/medication safety. However, there are a couple things I would improve. Since the last app update, it's harder to look up and find medications to record. In the previous version, it would keep your recently used meds (like prenatal vitamins) up at the top so you could easily find them. Now I have to search prenatal vitamins every time which is frustrating. Also, the kick counter was moved off the front data screen and moved into the more tab, which doesn't seem to fit for me. That is something I use everyday and data that I would like to be able to chart out (it's a higher priority for me than the activity tracker). Overall, the app is great and I do recommend it to my friends. Just a couple things that I would change to improve ease of use.

So informational while keeping it fun and visual. From the moment I found out I was pregnant up until this very moment with my son curled on my chest, I have found myself oh-so many times reading the updated and offered articles. The information readily available is pretty accurate down to the examples given and solution offerings. It was nice to see week by week what to expect and how to handle and now as he grows there’s new facts provided that reassure a new mom he’s on track (actually ahead of) but to know there’s others experiencing the same if not similar and learning and growing with their child as well. Without either of my parents to confide in, I depended on this app with any question or possible concern throughout my now; 10 month journey. Thank you kindly for this wondrous resource. Pray others find it and are able to enjoy as much!!! Definitely a 5 star and highly recommended app. (Which I have referred every expecting parent in my life)

Most Informative. Ovia doesn’t necessarily have all the excitement of articles everyday, BUT they have so many other helpful tools that other apps don’t. For example, their forum is the easiest to use. They also have a KICK COUNTER, CONTRACTION TIMER, MEDICATION SAFETY LOOKUP, FOOD SAFETY LOOKUP, and SYMPTOM LOOKUP. You’d have to download several apps usually to get those things and it saves you so many calls to your doctor about simple things like allergies and what’s safe to take. It really has way more than the other apps. It shows how baby is growing and comparative size. You can also choose what you want size compared to, cute little animals, veggies and fruits, pastries, or random. It has the weekly updates and information for multiples too! I really loved this app and many women don’t even know all the features it has. :) totally worth it

Community feature needs to be improved. I love this app, it’s great I can see what’s going on in my body, if my symptoms are normal, babies development and it keeps my super informed. I do have 1 problem with this app, the community where we can ask questions. Your inbox fills you up with a bunch of questions to answer from other moms and sometimes the app. The problem is there’s no organization. As a first time mom whose due in December I see questions from moms later in their pregnancy and I’m wanting to view their answers to questions so I know what to expect but I can’t view the questions answers unless I answer her question, how is that helping moms? I’m having to answer a question that I don’t know anything about. It should be like a mini social media platform. Where there’s a feed and I can make it to where I can see question from people the same weeks as me, or their be different categories not random question popping up. The inbox should be used for notifications when somebody replies to your comment or somebody else replies on the post. Also the questions from the app should be in its own section of the app where we can click on it and answer it and it only questions that are relevant to how many weeks we are. Right now it’s asking me questions that aren’t even relevant.

I did love it but it stopped opening. It was definitely my favorite go to app for the majority of my pregnancy so far! HOWEVER, out of nowhere, it stopped opening and freezes on the loading screen I’ve done everything from restarting my phone to trying to uninstall the app and re-download it and it continues to have this issue. It’s really disappointing and frustrating considering I prefer this one over all the other apps and now them more than 2/3 to my pregnancy I was kind of feeling attached to it even. So at this point I’m unbelievably frustrated and annoyed that I can’t even use it anymore and there’s no answers on their website no way to get in touch with anyone or ask a question. My last attempt to delete it from my screen unfortunately lead to it just being hidden and I don’t even know how to put it back on my screen to try and uninstall it again so I feel like I have no way of getting this app back. If it didn’t have the issue I would be thrilled about it and give it five stars but now I can’t use it with no explanation and no help. They are playing other apps that are easy to troubleshoot and have resources if you need help doing it this one does not.

One of a kind app, provides real insight. This is my 3rd pregnancy and my 5th pregnancy app. Ovia is easily my favorite, and only 5 star review. It's exciting and fun to change up your settings whether it be background or the different "size of my baby this week" choices. Most important is the value of the articles. This is the only app I've encountered where it provides articles aiming to equip you with all info. Especially what to expect when things don't go perfectly in pregnancy, labor/delivery, and with your new baby. My first baby was born with special needs and I'll never forget the feeling of shock in the hospital they he wasn't okay. All I had heard throughout my normal pregnancy was you deliver your baby and go home! Life is good! I was completely unprepared for circumstances like mine. This app gives all sides and scenarios without scaring you but rather educating and preparing you. So important.

Confusing terminology. When reading an Ovia article on preeclampsia, I read “this condition can be life-threatening to an expecting parent.” Which parent?!? Is my partner at risk?!? If they had written “the pregnant woman” or “the expecting mother” I would have understood the message. This same “pregnant parent” type of language is used all over in Ovia. It is confusing and it makes me feel like my womanhood and motherhood are not valued. In their attempt to make a marginalized minority feel included, they have taken the effectiveness out of their words. Pregnancy is already confusing, and as an expecting mother I feel overwhelmed with info. Why not make it easier to understand? Why must I read and then re-read the same information multiple times because of the confusing words they use? I also dislike how the app wants so much of my personal info. I would rather pay for an app that keeps my private health info private, rather than something free like this that is eager to make a profit off my health worries.

So helpful, but so slow.... I’ve used multiple pregnancy apps for tracking my pregnancy and Ovia is my favorite! It’s the only one I use now. The information and tools it provides for you is so helpful, and I like the option it gives you to pick a theme for your baby’s size comparison (I chose animals, and my baby is a platypus this week - so cute!). The community of mothers on here also seems to be a bit kinder than what I’ve witnessed on other apps, more willing to be helpful and supportive and keep judgements to themselves. Even if someone expresses a difference of opinion from the current thread, they’re just nicer about it than other message boards I’ve seen. My ONLY issue with the app is that it’s difficult to actually get into. Each time I open it the loading screen is up for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Sometimes it’ll close me out of the app before loading. Sometimes it’ll load my dashboard or the message board but it’ll be frozen so I can’t actually click on or scroll through anything. It’s a great informational tool, but it can be kinda buggy.

Flawed But Decent App. I wish there were more theme options because I don’t seem to know hardly any of the things it is relating to the size of my baby in any of the themes. I wish that under medications it would let you put in a medication even if the system doesn’t notice it because they don’t have some of mine listed. Lastly, for sleep and activity it would be nice to be able to add the information in later because if you sync a Fitbit and wake up in the middle of the night it doesn’t record all of your sleep just that first part and the step count is rarely ever consistent with what I’ve got on my Fitbit. If we could go back in and change the wrong information it would be such a better app. I actually deleted the Fitbit sync because the wrong information drives me crazy. Developers definitely need to put in work to fix the concerns of the users but other than that it is a nice app and I like the way it is set up.

Some helpful features, but lax moderation makes it frustrating. The app works as a serviceable pregnancy tracker, with better health tracking features than comparable apps, which I appreciate! However, the question portion of the app — meant to be a source of support for new moms — has such lax moderation that it is extremely frustrating to use. There has been a surge of rampant anti vax misinfo on the app lately, and there has been no moderation of extreme anti vax posts and comments. Even today, I saw a comment which was allowed to remain where someone said babies dying of vaccine preventable illnesses was just “God’s will.” At the same time, pro vaccine comments are repeatedly removed, presumably by anti vax users constantly flagging them, without any proper review by the app of the actual flagged content. A toxic, anti-science, and anti-truth environment often takes over what should be a source of support and community for expecting parents. This would be preventable through responsible moderation of the app, but that infrastructure is not currently in place.

Love love love 💕. I have used this app for drs appointments and just tracking my pregnancy up until the day i gave birth to my sweet little boy!! I absolutely love that i was able to put my drs appts into the calendar and take notes in it. I would write my questions and concerns in the notes section and ask them at my next drs appt, it was just very helpful. I also love all the little facts they put in the timeline for how my son was developing in the womb and all the articles on pregnancy. I still use the pregnancy app for the articles and facts on the timeline for how he’s developing now in the world, i just wish they had the timeline with these facts and articles on the parenting app too. The parenting app is good too. I hope it gets updated though, so i can put his drs appt in the calendar and take notes to ask his drs, and then i can do the same for my son.

Good but could be better. This app definitely has a ton of useful features and is great for tracking a LOT of things. However, I really wish it would let you put in your own medications to track and also not just suggest 3 medications you regularly input. For instance, I take probiotics daily and there isn’t even an option for that (which is a common supplement), plus I take other supplements not listed. Let me input my own to record please. I also take more than 3 things every day but it only shows me 3 options and then I have to manually search for everything else every single day. Meanwhile it suggests like 6 of the top medicines people take all the time, but I don’t take any of those so they just take up space where I would rather see MY top 6. I also wish I could add multiple meds or symptoms without being spit back out to the data page after every single one. Let me select everything and then hit done so I don’t have to keep coming back into the symptom or med tracker and hitting search over and over. There are other minor annoyances with the UI too, one being that it often glitches and shows me the data tab at the bottom of the calendar screen even though I selected the notes tab. And when you try to view the trends graphs, you can’t zoom out to view the whole graph; you can only see like 2 dots on it at a time. Just feels like the app could use an upgrade and a slight UI makeover.

Mostly great. When I found out I was pregnant, I downloaded several pregnancy apps to see which one I liked best, and Ovia won out easily. I like the interface and the customization. I love the daily and weekly updates and little blurbs about what to expect from my body and what was happening with Baby and it’s development. The ability to track food, weight, symptoms, doctor’s appointments, just about everything is great! The way that articles and videos are broken down makes them easy to search and find what I want to read. And the medication and food safety look up has been amazing and saved me a lot of unnecessary phone calls to my midwife. This only reason this rating lost a star is because I felt like the high level of daily interaction became all but non-existent once I went over my due date. I’d get one targeted advertisement and maybe one blurb about “is the nursery ready?” or “only a few days left”. I missed the timely articles, and wish that instead of recycled blurbs there had been articles about induction or how common it is to go overdue. I know those sorts of things exist because I could look them up in the app, but I wish they had been automatically showing up on my feed as a means of reassurance. Overall a great app, but updating it a bit would be even better.

FANTASTIC Pregnancy App! 💛. Ovia’s Pregnancy is absolutely fantastic! There is a TON of useful and interesting content packed into this app. I love how customizable you can make everything. I personally think this the best app for tracking pregnancy symptoms as well. There are a ton of options to report how your feeling and what your experiencing everyday, and it’s super easy to track everything baby related in the calendar. I have used almost every single pregnancy app out there, and I always end up coming back to Ovia for a reason. I almost skipped over this app the first time I seen it, but I hope you take a while to explore what it has to offer before dismissing it the way I did. You will not regret it and you will take something from it each time you access it. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Good app but loss section needs work. I found this app during my second pregnancy and think it’s the best general pregnancy app out there. The reason for the four stars is that the pregnancy loss section needs a lot of work. As a loss mom who lost my first baby at 36 weeks I was encouraged to see a loss section but really disappointed by how all the loss articles were generalized around early miscarriage. Unfortunately, the reality of life is that not all pregnancies end with a healthy baby and I think as an app that reaches a lot of women, you have a responsibility to help educate first time moms on the realities of pregnancy loss. As a first time mom going through a healthy pregnancy, I didn’t know that losing a baby after 20 weeks was something that could happen and made it all the more painful when it did. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage and 1 in 160 pregnancies end in stillbirth in the US. These are devastating outcomes and there are many moms using your app who will find themselves facing grief instead of joy at the end of their pregnancy. As a society we need to do a better job of supporting all women going through pregnancy, not only the ones that have a happy ending and I think improving your loss section could be a good first step.

Basic app full of ads. This is not a helpful app- your can google a better update on your pregnancy in 1.2 seconds than you can find it in this app. Full of ads and full of generic info on the most basic formula options etc. If this app were truly offering valuable information they would be comparing ingredients of similac formula to that of newer more progressive formulas on the market and providing actual valuable info for people growing children to make decisions. But instead they take those ad dollars and feed you whatever from whomever pays them. Same with diapers- why are we not seeing articles of the ingredients of diapers instead of just being told pampers is the best? Anyway- waste of time, not helpful and clearly mining your info when it asks if you take prenatal vitamins everyday, if you’ve been diagnosed with preeclampsia etc. skip the app until someone gets on the team to make it progressive enough to be worthwhile and not the most basic thing on earth.

So in love with this app. Since I have been pregnant with my little one this app has helped me out a lot. It is so informative that I feel like with each week as my baby grows I learn something each and everyday about my little one and it’s development. As a new mom to be I feel like this app gives me a piece of mind about everything as far as development of baby, the symptoms that I might experience that I might experience throughout each stage, sending me reminders for my doctor’s appointments. The articles they have for diet, exercise, recipes, and other useful things on the app. This is the only pregnancy app I’ve ever had and I must say I’m glad that I did it right the first time, this app is amazing. I recommend this app to everyone that’s pregnant, you will not be disappointed and you will be well educated just like I am now!!! This app definitely has me looking forward to meeting my little one.

So helpful for first time mums!. I think this app has been amazing. Although trying for a baby the shock of actually seeing a positive test is overwhelming and being recommended Ovia Pregnancy straight away from the Ovia Fertility app was excellent. I check the app every day for tips and reminders of what to do next and I find the information straight forward and to the point rather than having to surf google for answers. So far everything I have needed to know has been on this app. Thank you guys!

Good app. Some good articles and able to track things really well but overloaded with diet stuff, I know it’s important to eat right and exercise any time not just in pregnancy but now is not a time to be reminded of it every single day when most times I will just eat what o feel like on the day and that changes constantly in pregnancy. and also way too much mental health stuff. I get it is important but I don’t need to be asked every single day how I feel mentally. Maybe it’s because it’s my third pregnancy and I know I’m not at all prone to depression but it’s too much.

Great idea, few additions would be great. Just transitioned over from Ovia (stage 1 - TTC) looks great so far just wish there were a few easier tings in the community section. Wish there was a way to easily find what you'd already commented on, they don't always show at the bottom of the scrolling section and I don't want to have to go through all the new ones, sometimes I just want to check on ones I've answered... so maybe a tab for new questions, a tab for questions I've commented on then the tab for questions I've asked. Also be great if there was a private messaging option (even if people wanted to opt out or in by the settings) but not great to have to give out your email in a post just to keep in touch with someone... But enjoying logging in lots

Very difficult to upload photos. I like a lot of the features on this app, but I have a lot of trouble adding photos. It sits on the ‘saving’ screen for ages and I eventually have to exit out because it never says it’s complete. Sometimes the photos do show up when I check back, but other times they don’t and I have to re-upload. It’s very frustrating as photos are definitely something I want to track throughout pregnancy.

Good, but repetitive. Generally love this app, but sometimes the information given is repeated or different information is given depending on where you look. For example, at 16 weeks it says baby weighs 5.2 ounces, but today at 16.3 the feed tells me it’s only 3.5. It’s a bit disheartening to go backwards. Also I feel like sometimes the objects babies size is compared to go slightly up or down randomly. Would also love an option to turn off the weight reminders as I do not wish to track this. Otherwise a good app.

Window to a new world. This app is seriously amazing!. I am a first time mum and feel like I have to clue what I’m doing, but Ovia has shown me step by step all the information I need to know and how to better look after my pregnancy. Thank you guys!

Amazing way to keep I formed. I am so thankful for this app, I’ve been using ovia fertility for years and was delighted to move to ovia pregnancy when the time came. Daily updates on progress and health tips are fantastic, this is definitely making my pregnancy more enjoyable.

Love the app. Ovia pregnancy is easy and fun to use. The layout of the app is clean and simple. Love getting the weekly updates of babies size and getting all the information for that week. The only improvement I would like is the community part - I wish this was more like a group/forum - I don’t use it the way it currently is.

The best. Such a great app. My most favourite thing to do when I wake up is to check Ovia for the new daily updates on my baby’s development. So very informative and such a cute layout. Only issue- I post questions and my questions never seem to get air time so I never get any replies. Can be very frustrating. Updated review- still happening- my posts never get seen!!

Awesome free app!. I love this app! I started with Ovia Fertility and then when I fell pregnant it downloads the pregnancy app. It has so much information and tips. Each day will let you no what’s new with baby. Week to week pregnancy of baby developing. I love the funny little things is compares babys size too. Has a very helpful community section where u can ask other mums questions and also answer questions other mums have. I look forward to waking up every day and logging my information and see what is new with baby. It contains so much more things like symptom look up, foods that aren’t recommended, what needed in hospital bag, baby name games, personal recommended goals and just so much more. Absolutely love it and the best thing it’s free!!! It’s a big yes from me! :)

Baby development. I am a first time father and we are only 12 weeks and 4 days into the pregnancy!! But this apps has been amazing so far and I'm sure it has plenty more in store for me and my partner. The apps has shown my everything I expected to see and much more from the side of our child's feet the and weight! I would highly recommend this app too everyone one the pregnant community

Second time pregnancy. Second time mother at currently 26 weeks. I wish I'd had this app the first time around!! There's a few things that could be added/tweaked though, such as where can I put that I have gestational diabetes in? Things like that :) But definitely best pregnancy app I've used so far

Great tracker and the right level of info. I really like the calendar feature to track how I’m feeling on a daily/weekly basis. The news feed updates based on the data you add which is really helpful. Sometimes it’s nice to know that what you’re feeling is totally normal. I’ve also been enjoying seeing my baby develop week on week. Overall, it’s a really solid, straightforward app without a lot of clutter.

App crashes. App is amazing. It’s helped me keep track through my whole pregnancy & I love learning new things about bub. Unfortunately, the past couple of months the app continues to crash when trying to open. I haven’t been able to access the app for a little while on an off & would love to be able to open it hassle free :)

Too much focus on food and weight. I really like the educational articles and other similar features in the app. The videos are also very well done. Although, I was a little disappointed to see such a focus on diet and exercise. Promoting an unrealistic ideal for not just pregnant women but women in general, which can be counter productive. Like we talk about best as parenting, perhaps we could be talking about best as nutrition?! Achieving the best we can do should be the focus, rather than the gold standard. I’m sorry to be such a negative nelly, but it seems like each day I open the app to some message about the latest superfood or super salad. However, my review is not all criticism. The element of praise for the efforts made with including variety in our diet and the types of exercise we do is not completely unhelpful. I like how the app highlights in the individual feedback the physiological value of different exercises in relation to pregnancy.

Best baby app ever!!. My older sister who was also pregnant put me on to this app and I’m so happy she did!! So much great information and articles to read. I started using this app since I was 7 weeks pregnant and I’m still using it now 10weeks post birth!! It’s weekly expectations are bang on!! As a first time mum I’m extremely happy with this app!! Thanks guys

Love it!!!. I absolutely love this app! It’s been so helpful with everything, I love that theres a community where you can ask other people questions and there give there advice. I love that the app also gives you recipes and advice and just so many things on it! And tells you baby’s developments and so much more! I told a friend who is pregnant as well and she loves the app as well! I recommend this one over all the others! :)

Really enjoying. I really like this app - the only part that’s bothered me is the lack of search. I know I saw a recipe on here but now I can’t find it! But it is a nicely set out app with lots of good info. I’m not a huge fan of the community section - I prefer a more open forum but each to their own.

Features gone missing. Since the update last night all the handy information about progress and tip. As well as the progress pictures (your baby is s big and it has a picture of a cute animal,) the your baby’s hand and foot are this big compared to the average size when born (your baby’s hand/foot is green and gets bigger each week- my fav feature) And the week count down /to go counter is missing. Those are literally why I’m here and it’s a bit rotten that at week 21 for me that they’ve disappeared. Used to be great, can’t recommend them anymore

Great app for ftm. Great up to track everything for a FTM. Would like to be able to add my own symptoms etc so I could track those which have been ongoing through pregnancy. Have had to just pick something different and know that’s what it was.

Love it.. I came over to this app from ovia fertility. It synced my information and is easy to use. I did trial some other apps to compare, but I couldn't find anything as good as this. I love that I can track every feeling, symptom and more. You can change your theme and get daily updates on baby's growth. I would definitely recommend this to any pregnant woman.

So Handy!!. I love this app, it has helped me so much and I can even share the information with my partner, helps us both understand exactly what’s happening every step of the way. It would be amazing if you could select your country as iv noticed the tests and appointments are called different names and at different points throughout the pregnancy, it confused me a little at first.

Love this app. I’ve used this app through both of my pregnancies and love the daily and weekly updates as well as the images to give expecting parents to best idea of what your little bub is looking like. Easy to use as well.

Such a good app. Love this app! Used the period one waaay before I got pregnant and it was brilliant and both feed off of the data so the pregnancy one has already learnt everything about your periods and history. Love the photo updates they are gorgeous 💕 If I had to ask for any change though it might be a category of tracking what sets off your morning sickness the most like food or the amount of food you ate that day and so on, otherwise awesome app

Amazing App!. Very helpful app with many interesting information about the baby development, your body changes, little advice for us to be healthy etc. I check it every day and I like to see how the baby is growing. :) The only improvement that I would recommend is to be able to delete some info that we don’t want to see in the Timeline. That would be great to personalize it! Thanks :)

Loved this app!. I used this app all throughout my pregnancy. The daily info and weekly videos were something I looked forward to every day! Countdown was also something I looked at daily to get excited and I loved the community section being able to connect with other pregnant women. Will definitely use this again with my next! Thanks Ovia!

Love it!. I used the Ovia app to track my ovulation and have moved to Ovia pregnancy since getting my BFP. I find it easy to use, love how personal you can make it and that is can work as a planner in a small way. The recipes are great and the information and articles are always relevant. I will continue using and share with my friends!

Fun, informative and easy to use!. I have different pregnancy tracking apps but this by far this one is the best I’ve used. It’s fun, informative and easy to use. I look forward to receiving the daily update on my baby’s development and when I’m not sure about something, Ovia Pregnancy has all of the answers. I’ll be using the Ovia period tracker and Baby apps.

Amazing app! Needs better forums.. This app has been so insightful and easy to use - I’d be lost without my daily updates! My only issues are the forums - such a bizarre set up. It would be nice to have a better community. Also, the fact that you need to be employed to access certain things on the app is disappointing overall though, the best!

The best pregnancy app I've tried!!. I've downloaded quite a few pregnancy apps, none have been more fun yet informative than ovia. You get development facts about your little 1 everyday, weekly update videos on development, nutrition/ health tips, track your medical appointments and seriously beyond!! I recommend this to all pregnant women :-)

Informative and helpful. I loved being able to track symptoms, that the newsfeed comments on what you track and raises anything that might be a concern so you can get it checked. Love the anonymous community posts so you’re not afraid to ask anything, no matter how strange or gross or personal

The best free app with everything you need. I used Ovia period tracker to track my ovulation and loved it and now I also love the pregnancy app. It’s so easy to use, let’s you track all your health data and provides daily updates on your baby’s progress. It really is the best app and doesn’t even feel like it should be free - the quality is so good!

Love it !. As a first time mum I was jumping into the unknown and very interested in what was happening. Ovia is amazing it tells me each day exactly what is happening gives me tips and advice on things that are always playing in your mind that you just don't know how to google and 100% makes me feel amazingly better about what is going on. And why I am feeling how I am. Love it. Thanks guys please keep up the good work !!

Best pregnancy app!!!. This is by far the best pregnancy app on the App Store. I have tried them all and nothing has as good features for free. It’s so easy to use and everything is so nicely laid out! I could go on & on about how good it is but I’ll leave it with every mum to be needs this app, it’s a must have. Will forever recommend Ovia!😊

Great App. I like how information is drip fed I’m as guilty of checking the app more than once a day! The new name feature is fun, though it would be good to be able to search and add your own if you already have some you like, plus some way to re-assess names you’ve already reviewed if you accidentally swipe left.

Fantastic app. I’ve been using this app since the beginning of my pregnancy and it is amazing! I love following the daily updates about the baby and there are so many features and articles that are very helpful. The safety food section is very handy and the baby names swiping part is quite fun too. Highly recommend this app.

Great app. Great app. Unlike some others ovia customises to your baby’s actual gender and name, making the experience feel personal and even more special. I love waiting to see what each week will be characterised by - for us we chose fruit and vege but there are other choices.

Great app!!. I've been using us since I found out I was pregnant along side a couple others but this is definitely my favourite!! One thing I really like it the hand and foot sizing images! So cute! And it's really great that I can look up foods and medications to make sure they are safe whilst being pregnant. A+

Thank you!. I downloaded the fertility app a few years ago to track my period and learn more about my body. I finally started tracking my ovulation when my husband and I started trying for a baby. I am now 6 weeks pregnant and of course downloaded Ovia pregnancy to keep track of growing baby and my health. Thank you to the team at Ovia for creating these apps that provide great support & information in a cute little set up.

Community section only issue. The only issue I have with this app is the community section. It’s an excellent feature but I can’t keep track of posts I’ve commented on, I just have to scroll through and hope I can find the post. Also it’s very American. Would be good if it were a bit more Aus-friendly. Otherwise it’s a great app, I look forward to every Wednesday when it updates and I can read about my little one!

Second time around. I have used the planning pregnancy app and this app for both of my pregnancies! The extra little info and messages to keep up to date is wonderful!! highly recommend!

Comprehensive pregnancy tracking. The most comprehensive pregnancy app I've found: track food intake, symptoms, baby movement. Downsides: the community board can be good for getting quick responses but every day there are the same questions, it would be good if the app suggested searches for similar questions before letting you post. It shows me the same ad for stem cell banking Every Day and it's getting mighty annoying. Despite tracking and giving it lots of info, it doesn't seem to personalise the articles it shows you. Overall had to give it four stars as I will continue using it every day.

Good App For Soon To Be Mamas. I like this app :) It’s easy to navigate and really helpful when keeping track of your health, pregnancy milestones and you can even look up what foods are safe to eat. The community section is great too; it’s nice to have other mamas right at your fingertips that you can ask questions or get genuine advice. The only thing missing... I wish you could filter/block certain topics from appearing in the community feed though, just for peace of mind. As a mama of previous loss sometimes the content is super triggering!

What a waste of a good app. I’ve used all the Ovia apps available for many years. And recently without warning I was completely removed from the chats due to apparently not following guidelines. The chat function was the main reason I used The app, to ask for and help with advice during my subsequent pregnancies. When contacting Ovia and asking for reasoning behind this, as I’ve never gone outside the rules and regulations I was met with an automated message that provided no information. And I remain banned. Luckily I’m 38 weeks pregnant and no longer require the app. This app system has gone downhill over the past few years anyway, it used to be so handy and helpful. But now you’re met with a company who have no customer service skills, and worry very little about those who are using their services. Good riddance. Much better apps out there than this.

I love it!. This is my second pregnancy now, and I’ve downloaded at least 10 different apps! But this one by far is the easiest! I love how you can see what the baby looks like at each stage, and I love how you can see how big it’s hands and feet are! It’s super cute and helpful... I just love it! I used it for my first baby and now this one! But this time around I only downloaded Ovia! 😘😘

Love the app!. I have loved this app for my third pregnancy, however there is WAYYY to much focus on prenatal and post partum depression... seriously I feel like I have to have it, or I’m just waiting for it to pop up! I understand this is a huge thing for a lot of mums but an article or reminder nearly every day is just too much

I love ovia. I love this app, I love the hand size chart and that they have now added a foot chart too! I also like how they allow you to see size reference of four different objects a week. It's a user friendly app and I've used it with my previous two pregnancies and now this one! Highly recommended and I've personally referred it to friends and family.

Love this app. As this is my first pregnancy this app could not be better to answer all my questions and keep my husband and I informed of how our baby is developing. The daily updates are great and it's so comforting knowing if I have a question about food or medication there is an easy to use list to help inform me. Could not love this app more!

DEPRESSING. In one of the medical questions it asked about my mental health history. I was honest about having depression/anxiety in my pass and now EVERYDAY the articles on my feed are on that topic and often on repeat. I DON’T WANT TO FOCUS ON THAT! Why not tell me some cool things about this little life growing inside. Talk to me about development, healthy food, cool pregnancy Hacs..... anything else. I used Ovia on my last pregnancy and was thrilled each day to open it and and read the arrivals and daily updates. This time I fine it depressing and a daily reminder of my struggle. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Sizes are out of sync. Love the app but the sizes for the weeks of pregnancy are wrong. Week six says size of a blueberry when that should be week 7 and raspberry should be week 8 etc. Week six should be the size of a lentil, pomegranate seed or similar. So I am now in week 7 and it says My baby is the size of a raspberry when I know that is not the case, a raspberry is much larger than 1.2cm (this is more the size of a blueberry). Please update this to align properly with the actual sizes.

Love it!. Love this app. Super helpful. Love seeing all the little tidbits about my baby. Just wish it would have over the counter medication not just the technical medical terminology for medication that’s pregnancy safe. (Ie halls throats lozenges/ Vics vapo rub/ etc)

Too woke. I’m tired of absolutely everything having to be so woke. Instead saying pregnant women they say pregnant folks, this is ridiculous! It’s belittling to women everywhere! NO! ONLY WOMEN CAN CARRY A CHILD AND GIVE BIRTH! I also didn’t like how they said my growing baby is becoming a human. As if they aren’t already human and making it seem their life isn’t valuable. News flash. Most women who use this app and want to read how their babies grow think of their child as a living human (which they are). How dare you lesson our babies value just because they’re in the womb! Deleting app. Going to find an app with more accurate information that’s more worried about giving accurate information than being woke.

Fun until it’s sad. Ended up with a miscarriage and feeling dropped from being a mother so instantly from the app felt crushing. Loosing the people I was able to chat to because your account gets closed feels really heartless. Everyone else gets to continue on and mark down that they’re baby was born in every way but still. Needs a still birth/ miscarriage option for how the baby was born without being closed off from the whole app.

Won’t save my pregnancy. I used this app for my first pregnancy and loved it. But the second time around it won’t save my pregnancy so I have no feed or anything.

Ovia MyQ asks triggering questions. This app is great and all, but all those question from the Ovia app itself “Ovia myQ” some are super triggering. I dont quite understand the point of them and they dont go away unless I answer them. And sometimes I dont even want to think about the question their asking because theyre so triggering and theres no way to dismiss them.

Inaccurate, inconsistent, unedited.. It’s frustrating how inaccurate and inconsistent the information in the app is. I received a notification saying that baby’s eyes were fused shut and won’t open again for a couple months. Three days later, I got a notification saying that in the next week, baby’s eyes would be fusing shut. …So which is it? I was very disappointed in how biased towards OB’s, hospitals, and medications this app is. As one who has had very bad experiences with OB’s, it would be nice to see better information on here that supports midwives TOO. I’m not saying they need to switch sides, I just want greater support for women who choose natural labor, a home birth, and holistic care in general. One article gives pros and cons for hospital and birth center births, but deters women away from home birth. It’s very unsupportive of different options, and doesn’t provide accurate information to give women an idea of all the options that are out there. It’s also appalling how many grammar mistakes are in the articles. My mother is an English teacher, as was my Grandma, and I started my schooling in English. 80% of the people in my classes were going into editing. Come on Ovia! Hire an actual editor! Overall, you’d do best to go with a different app. I’ve started going to the What to Expect website for real information, and have only used this app to keep track of my prenatal vitamin every day.

The only app I trust. This is the only app I trust for tracking my pregnancy. And yes, I have tried several other apps.

Ridiculous rules.... Apparently, if you simply disagree with someone in the community feature...you’ll get the boot from them. I used this app on both my previous pregnancy and in my current one, and both times had comments reported and I was kicked out...seriously for respectfully disagreeing with someone’s opinion/comment. It’s so silly. There are people on here who are genuinely rude and hurtful, and they go completely unchecked. Try weeding those people out first before removing people that are just trying to be helpful to the FTMs. Do not recommend this app to ANYONE.

Great app but…. The “change my due date/weeks pregnant” section has been giving me issues. I am 9 weeks, 6 days, but my periods are irregular. My cycle was very long when I got pregnant. Every time I put in my due date and weeks pregnant, it changes the date of my last period automatically. It is therefore not accurate. I wish I could just input the data myself without it changing.

Gave up on this app. Had the period app for a really long time and it worked great. This one has deleted the information three times and everytime I try to log in, it won’t allow me too. Gave up and found a new app.

Peach?. Oh come on - I turned on the app and all of the sudden pink is gone and there’s peach and teal, blue and green for a colour choice? What idiot thought that was a good idea Do pink and blue green and peach if you want to please everyone, but just flat out taking out pink? Hitting the degree of politically correct that is so nauseating I don’t even wanna be a part of your app anymore.

The app needs to be more inclusive. It is very frustrating not to see my queer family represented in the app. The pics are always of a man and woman and makes reference to only one type of family: one man and one woman. What if i am a single parent?what if i am a queer family? Please improve because our families exist.

why is it gendering my fetus??. I used the Ovia tracking app for years before just yesterday downloading the pregnancy version! I quite like most of the aspects, but it refers to the fetus as “her” mostly, and sometimes “he”. I find it very odd, and think there should be a setting where you can select whether you know the sex of the baby, or whether you just want “they” or even “it”. For me this is less about assuming it’s sex, and more about me not wanting to get comfortable referring to it as a specific sex and then finding out it’s the opposit. Just seems like a huge miss on the apps part. ps. if there is a setting to change, please let me know where!

Joking references to suicide. I flagged the support team that they published an article around sleep joking about suicide where they reference early pregnancy symptoms being so bad that it would be nicer to “jump off a cliff”. Despite Ovia support team saying this was a priority to resolve they have not edited the article. I am appalled that any health app would make such flippant jokes about such serious and devastating issues like suicide, especially normalizing it as easier than coping with pregnancy symptoms. We know better and so should Ovia.

Like the growth information, not the articles. Really enjoy the information about baby’s growth week by week, but find the articles etc. to be very patronizing, often overly simplistic and obsessed with their definition of “healthy” food/weight. Would obviously prefer this information from my Doc if necessary, and find the preoccupation very off putting in the app. I can see how it would be difficult/impossible for someone experiencing a food related disorder to use this app at all, as there is no way to filter the information you’d prefer not to see.

Great, but ... Great app but I don’t like that even tho I’ve put I’m having multiples and that their gender is unknown that the feed doesn’t reflect that. It refers to baby as “she and her” and if I want weekly updates on multiples I have to click in separately instead of it just updating and only showing me the multiples since I’ve put in the app that that’s what I’m having.

Useful and easy. Great app. I love the UI! I hate that it logs me out everytime there’s a new update available. I’m preggo and for the life of me can’t remember my password Anyhooo I guess it’s a small inconvenience. There’s no reason to log people out. I’m not entering any secure info into the app (like a bank app)

Overall useful. I wish there was an option to turn off the reminders for weight and exercise tracking and some of the other health anxiety promoting features. It’s not great for women with eating disorders or health anxiety.

Happy to be using this app.. Great App!!! , it truly helped me throughout and along the way of my pregnancy journey. It allowed me to understand what milestone I was hitting each week.

Terrible App. App does not work properly, cant add info that is being requested cause it wont allow to do a selection of options. Next It could not accept any password for my new accont. Too many problems too fast. App deleted.

Way too much Personal Information. Seriously, None Ya Business! Uninstall. The ridiculousness of the personal information required (forced disclosure) to use this app. None Ya Business!

Weird hyper focus on depression. It’s like 50% of its info is about how you must have some mental health problem and crap articles like “how to maintain boundaries” that are insultingly infantilizing. Also, info on baby growth by week doesn’t match Wikipedia or other apps so is rather suspect. Worse, info on what’s safe to eat or what drugs are safe is not in agreement with the latest science. It seems to think lots of things are safe that aren’t. But the cute animals are cute, and I guess it’s nice that you can put symptoms data in although there’s no way to see trends so kinda not useful.

A really useful app, but a few tweaks would make it even better!. I’m 25 weeks pregnant and I’ve been using this app since week 6. I really like tracking my pregnancy with this app, and I use it to keep track of appointments, my fitness, my weight, and as a reminder to take my prenatal vitamin every day. The design is cute and the app is intuitive to use. I wish that the feature which allows you to put doctor’s appointments in the calendar also made it easier to add other kinds of appointments such as prenatal education classes, massage, acupuncture, etc. I also wish that the veggies/fruits which are used to compare the baby’s size were a bit less quirky. Belgian Endive is a really weird thing to compare a baby to. My friends and family felt like they couldn’t relate to those size analogies.

Amazing app. This app is amazing it has so much relevant information and updates each week of pregnancy, includes food safety and even baby names. It is also free! So glad to have this app as I experience my first pregnancy

Best app, especially for first time moms!. Used many apps during my pregnancy, but this one was by far the best. This app is incredible ! Clean, beautiful and easy to use. The resources and relevant features are extremely helpful during pregnancy. So nice for symptom tracking, keeping notes and random thoughts throughout pregnancy. You can add photos and milestones too! And I love the many checklists that help you plan for baby’s arrival. Plus, it uses your baby’s name for a more personalized experience 💙 I strongly recommend, especially for first time moms !!

Awesome!. I love this app! It allows me to follow up even my medical appointments.

Problems. It won’t let me create an accoutn keeps asking to fill in required even though i already did

Love it :). Use it every day and it's so cute!

App crash. Loved this app but would sign me out from time to time. This last time it logged me out and lost all my information had to restart from the beginning :(

missing search bar in the article section. It used to be better with search bar once you were looking for an article, it helped finding faster what you need. Now, you need to expand particular sections?

Love. Love how it shows you the baby's growth and comparing it to different things. I also love to see the baby development as well. It's nice to read different things that are happening everyday and what developmental spurts are happening each day. Love this app ! Used the fertility one as well and loved it! I wish there was a friends feature to be able to connect with other moms and see what stage they of pregnancy they are in :)! I also love he calendar feature - so easy to see how many weeks I'll be at what date ahead !

Great app for pregnancy!. I’ve used this app to track both pregnancies. Accurate and informative.

Keeps saying “she”. Annoyed with the gender thing. It’s like they tried to make the app geared only towards female babies. I’m having a boy and I can’t change the way it words things on the app. The daily updates are still calling him a “her” and talking about her ovaries developing. It drives me nuts. Deleted.

Poorly executed. The app does not let me personalize my profile. I just found out I’m pregnant and it says I’m 42 weeks along and it won’t let me edit my information.

love it!!. my husband and i both have downloaded it. we love how informative it is and it helps stay organized with appts. we would definitely suggest it!

I use it every single day!. I love Ovia! It’s all you need before, during, and after pregnancy

Feedback. Can you add in if you’ve had sex (not just sex drive) and cervical fluid consistency (not just if there are changes). Otherwise a great app!

Requesting highly private info - how is it shared?. When reporting a birth it is absurd how much information they “require” from you. Baby name, date, sex, weight, time, length, birth type, location, who performed delivery, complications - these are all mandatory fields. This is an INSANE info grab of highly personal information. How is this private information used? Who do you share it with? Unfortunately will be deleting the app. Change the required info at birth to simply the date - nothing else is necessary.

Love the app. Small suggestion. If you don’t pick the sex of the baby, it would be nice for the notifications and updates to say “they” rather than switch back and for between he and she.

Feeling well informed!. Great app to inform you of each stage of pregnancy. Lots of information and articles but not so much that you’re feeling overwhelmed! Would 100% recommend.

Won’t let me log in. Made an account, logged in through Facebook, wouldn’t bring me to the next page after it loaded the log-in, won’t let me make a new account, “invalid credentials” Tried deleting and re-downloading the app, same problems

Good but..... It’s relatively informative and a pretty good app. Easy to use. I’m always excited to read what’s new this week however.... it doesn’t have a dad option. Also it doesn’t have an option to change the count down without changing the due date... there are many women who have planned c sections and their birth date is quite a bit sooner than their 40 week mark.... I wish I could make the count down day the same as my delivery day (38+6)

Great App- but glitches every few weeks. The app itself is great. I’ve used it since the beginning of pregnancy (I’m 27 weeks now) and every few weeks the app asks me to sign-in again (despite my using it daily). When this happens, I go through a cycle where the app tells me my password isn’t working, I send a link to my email to reset it, I set a new password, and the new password doesn’t work for the next day or two. It’s frustrating. It does not appear to be linked in any way to any app updates. I now use another app in addition to this one, since I can never be sure I’ll be able to access the data I’ve recorded in this app.

Great app but needs to have more accessible language. I really like this app and will continue to use it through this pregnancy however it is definitely American. The healthcare system in Canada is completely different so that can be annoying. My only big grievance I have is that the language that is used to describe health symptoms and medication is not very accessible. I work in healthcare and rule of thumb is to write as if the reader was at a grade 6 reading level. For example “flatulence”… why not just say “gassy” or “farting a lot” lol. I also am not a big fan of the community portion of the app.

Horrible. Way to medical. All they do is push vaccines. Ridiculous and total brainwashing

What about dad.. Great app for moms but dads are just as curious and interested to know what’s going on. The app should ask you weather you are the mom or the dad and keep you informed accordingly.

Inundates vulnerable women with incorrect vaccine articles. Ovia continues to post articles about vaccine safety and refuses to address issues like vaccine injury and deaths. They are obviously funded by pharmaceuticals as they push taking anti-depressants as the only way to treat postpartum during and after pregnancy. I asked them how to filter this content so I don't see it, they said that filtering content to fit my pregnancy wasn't an option. I have switched to another pregnancy app that allows you to choose what content fits your pregnancy and does not push pharmaceuticals on women.

Inability to compare pregnancies. It’s an ok app. I wish it had the ability to compare subsequent pregnancies.

Great app. This app is amazing it give me good tips and keeps me updated I love it I recommend it

Amazing app. Love this app

Great App!!. I love this app. This is my first (surprise) pregnancy, and since I never planned on this happening, my lack of pregnancy knowledge was substantial. This app has been so helpful with the day to day updates and also the ability to look ahead to see what may be in store. One suggestion I would make, and I realize this is not the norm, but maybe having an option for birth moms who are choosing adoption that would filter out messages like "bet you can't wait to raise baby!" I am planning on adoption, and for some reason things like that make me a little upset, because I'm not actually going to raise the baby. But it's not troublesome enough to stop using the app. Just merely something to be suggested!

Too many insurance plugs. I used this app for my last pregnancy(3 years ago) and loved it, so I was quick to download it again when we found out we were pregnant a second time. However, this time there seems to be less information about the pregnancy and fetal development, but significantly more plugs for connecting the app through your employer for insurance information. I understand how that could be helpful to some but not to all of us (we have Tricare for the military insurance and it won’t even recognize it). It seems like every-other article on my feed is a promo for how Ovia and your insurance can work together to improve your app experience, which ironically is taking away from mine. Not sure I’ll be using this as my primary app for this pregnancy, unfortunately.

Great but needs a change of a main feature. I really like this app but one this really has bothered me from the start. The references that are supposed to help you understand how big your baby is supposed to be are all strange. You can choose from weird and obscure vegetables that few people have heard of and give you no clue as to the size of your baby or you can choose from exotic/ rare animals that few people have heard of that also give you no clue about the size of your baby. The problem to me is am I receiving a lesson in obscure agriculture or zoology or am I trying to gain some concept as to the size of my human baby? This strange feature has made me want to open the app less and just upset me every time.

Technical support non existent. Been in a back and forth with the tech support for over 2 days to get my insurance benefits and it really shouldn’t be taking this long. They take hours sometimes (12+) to give one response. Will be using The Bump instead. EDIT: in response to the developer comment, it’s not the processing time of ‘1 day’ like you’re very snidely putting it, it’s that no one responds to tell you anything for hours and hours and hours, not even to say ‘this may take a few hours’ or ‘check back in 1 day.’ It’s just a long drawn out conversation that is very frustrating and that I’ve never experienced with any other customer service line. I am fine waiting a whole week for insurance to process, just be communicative and say that! And for the record, this very short conversation of 6 canned replies has lasted 5 entire days, not ‘1.’

Love it, but would love a new feature.... I LOVE this app and the resources it provides!!! The food/medicine safety lookup has been a lifesaver, and the explanations of what’s going on with me and baby every week are awesome. One minor thing I would love to see, though, is the app keeping all of the photos that I post to keep track of my/baby’s growth. I don’t want to be the person who posts a new photo of myself on social media EVERY week, but I would love to still have the photos consolidated and saved somewhere so I can look back on them! So it would be awesome if there could be a feature that saves your progress photos each week. I know, I know, it’s a super nit-picky thing, which is why I still am giving the app 5 stars 💛

App does not work!!!. Update: support team helped with sorting out the issue. App runs fine now. Thanks! Downloaded and signed up this morning. Love the graphics and really digging the app until I tried to enter my doc appt for tmw. The app starting crashing and I kept getting the “problem” pop-up. Multiple retries still didn’t work. I abandoned the doc appt and navigated other aspects of the apps like health info, food info etc but the problem pop up still kept showing up from time to time. I restarted the app and then re-installed it. Now I can no longer sign in with my Facebook credentials. I tried starting a new account and it’s not letting me register either. I just keep getting this generic “problem” message. This was very disappointing I really liked what I saw ( for the first 15 minutes before it started crashing)

Greatest app for an expecting mother!. I downloaded quite a few pregnancy tracker apps at first, to decide which one suited me best and Ovia is hands down the BEST! Other apps want you to pay for features that should be available or the app is so basic and has meaningless articles with subject matter that has little or nothing to do with pregnancy. Ovia has so many wonderful features and they are free! The kick counter is probably one of my favorite things this app offers. The app sends you little messages too that are uplifting and helpful reminders about taking your vitamins. You can customize certain things about the colors and themes. So many great things I could say! Please download and see for yourself

Great but..... I really love this app. I like having the calendar and the option to input symptoms and notes. I really looked for that and didn’t find it in many others. However, this app doesn’t compile your information or anything, you have to go back through the calendar and find what you put on the entry that day. For instance, when I click on “My baby names” under “more”, I though it’d be a compiled list of names I’ve put into the app, but it’s a totally different function that gives you a list of popular names. Though I enjoy it, just isn’t what I thought it’d be. It’d also be great if notes were in there that way so I could just give my doc a run down of pains & occurrences I’ve kept track of or something. The notes app on the phone still works though but it’d be helpful in a dedicated app.

Love this app-first time mom. I normally don’t bother writing reviews but this app deserves one. I downloaded it when I first found out I was expecting ( at 8 weeks) and it’s still on my phone because even after birth it’s useful. I was always excited to look at it to see what it said was going on with me or my baby. It s very informative. Being pregnant comes along with so many things. Reading on this app about things i was feeling and reading that they were normal helped ease me. It has so many other features too! I feel like its a family member cause it’s been there throughout my entire journey so far lol! Definitely recommend. Especially for first time moms.

Some Good Stuff.... This app is... okay. The layout is nice, and I LOVE the different themes for how big your baby is (“Parisian Bakery” and “Weird But Cute Animals” being my favorites.). The daily facts are fun and interesting, though a little repetitive. Now for the not-so-great stuff. First off, the app is so glitchy. Very often I try to open it, it thinks for a minute, and then just closes itself. I sometimes have to try two more times until it loads properly. Second, the constant ads clogging up my feed are OBNOXIOUS. That’s not why I have this app. Please go away. I get that they want to make money, but it just makes the whole experience feel contrived and cheap. Finally, and this is the big one: I wish the Ovia app were more inclusive of people choosing different types of birth. I’m nearly 32 weeks now, and nearly every day it tells me something I need to do to “get ready for the hospital.” The thing is... I’m not going to the hospital; I’m having a home birth. And look, I know that’s really uncommon, so obviously the app shouldn’t cater to just me. However, as more and more women choose birth center births and even home births, it would be nice if this app didn’t make assumptions about women’s choices. It wouldn’t be that hard to add a simple feature where the app asks you what kind of birth you’re planning.

Great app, but could be more inclusive. The app itself has been great as far as telling me about my baby’s size and development! It’s so fun to see what weird animal she’s sizing up to and about how big her little hands and feet are....But I wish there was a way to add what kind of birth I’m having. Despite months of planning and preparing for what I considered a “normal birth,” I’ll be having a scheduled c section. This has been a pretty emotional thing for me to work through, and it would’ve been great to be able to select this type of birth as an option in the app and receive articles and insights regarding c sections. Getting daily notifications and articles about managing pain during labor and knowing when to go to the hospital has made this whole experience feel more isolating. I know c sections have gotten far more common, so I would request that you factor them in to the app and its content.

Great Way To Track Your Pregnancy Journey. This app is easy to use and provides a lot of helpful information about each step of your pregnancy in a fun and understandable way. The ability to track data like your weight gain, your emotional and physical symptoms, as well as the special moments, such as the first time feeling baby kick, are so helpful, especially for a first pregnancy. I can not recommend this app enough — especially after having a minor issue as a result of a phone software update when I thought I had lost all of the last 8 months of data I had logged. The Ovuline Support Team jumped right in and helped me to get my account back up and running with nothing lost!

It’s good but could be tons better. Updated review: 20 weeks later and was able to deactivate the prenatal prompt which is much better! Still too many ads for breast pumps, cord blood etc and the FitBit still only syncs steps. Syncing weight, sleep and activity has been broken for months. Orignal review: I like the concept and the follow week by week is really cool. It’s a weekly ritual to read them with my husband. Like the milestones and all the notes you can put in there. My biggest gripes are: - stop asking me about the prenatal vitamin!!!! Let me set a reminder in the app if needed but if you ask me as soon as I wake up I can STILL forget because I don’t gobble it in bed when I check the app! - the amount of ads for breast pumps, cord blood etc are very repetitive and annoying. I don’t need to think about a breast pump at 8 weeks. - the FitBit connectivity could be so so much better. The only thing it tracks correctly are steps. Weight was working but it stopped, sleep is always incorrect. Activity doesn’t translate, Nutrition/water intake would be lovely to track from FitBit instead of the portioning that is not intuitive at all. Lots of opportunities there.

Practical and great. I tried a few other apps (BabyCenter, what to expect, Premom) and this one is my favorite. It’s more geared towards health than the others. This app doesn’t have an easy to navigate community, which i actually appreciate. There’s a lot of anxiety and intense emotion in pregnancy. This can be problematic in community forums because one unhealthy/unstable/unkind person can negatively impact a lot of nervous moms. When I do have questions and need insight, I switch to BabyCenter and WhattoExpect communities and get insight from experienced people. Overall, I try to stick to Ovia because it’s health focused and more positive, so I’m not exposed to high anxiety scare stories. But I still have BabyCenter on my phone in case I need some insight from other people.

read further !. Honestly i really enjoyed this app when i first downloaded it.. it has good features! but it's a sad app to use when there's so many immature women using it too. This app is to help out other pregnant women with advice and things like that, there's a lot of shaming done here and jokes made about single mothers and first time moms that are unsure of certain things. I feel like this app should probably be monitored more closely.. since it's anonymous questions on the app people get so comfortable being rude and hurtful. Lots of bullying between the mothers and it's sad. I currently am going to retire this app and use "The Bump", or "Baby center" .. a better community .. would use this again when things are more monitored and people are punished for their rudeness. I really did like this app for a while though! just be aware ladies there's a lot of bullying here.

Ovia app review. I had already downloaded and had been using a different pregnancy app when a friend of mine recommended Ovia. I loved how much the app had to offer. Being able to easily check what foods are okay to eat and which are not is one of my favorite parts of the app. Also how you can customize the app to what you would like is great. I have a 7 year old step son and being able to compare the size of the baby to an animal instead of a fruit or vegetable is fun for him. The app also randomly post questions for you to make sure you’re staying on track with your prenatals and other things. I would recommend this app to others!

Overall, good and helpful with a few small faults. I have really enjoyed this app. It has been helpful and fun. My two children love seeing what animal their new sibling is similar to in size. It has helpful information. They do have some language issues which surprised me. The articles seem to all be reviewed by doctors, but occasionally they will use the wrong word for something. The parts of a breast pump that connect to your breasts, for instance, are flanges, not phalanges. I certainly hope there are no finger or toe bones used in the making of a breast pump. That did give me a laugh, but perhaps a little more careful check of vocabulary and grammar might be in order, especially when a doctor has reviewed the article. This was not the only time an error like this was made, just the one that sticks in my head.

Was fine until they wrongly deleted my access. I’ve been using this app and they had a recent requirement to sign a new HIPPA form. I did a month ago and then with no warning in the app, while I was in the using the app, I got an error requiring me to log in again, but I can’t and then an email saying they deleted my account for not signing the HIPPA form! So all of my data that I rely on daily I cannot access because they messed up and my data might even be deleted which is even worse. I sent an email as it says to do and the automated reply says they will try to respond in 2 days. If you want us to rely on your app then there should be an immediate way to resolve issues, especially those that are the company’s.

Mom-to-Be overload ☺️. As soon as I made my registries, there were lists and Top 5 apps I should’ve downloaded from the beginning !! I went a little to overboard and downloaded them ALL 😂 some will say but out of all the apps I do enjoy Ovia the most! I love the updates it gives me about my baby size, it’s really helpful when you use the health track and different sources in the app pops up and reminds of you of what the app has so you can cope -if you’re a mom whose been stressing and been a little more than sad lately. It keeps track of what you’re eating what medications your taking, your healthcare update and appointments, so much more. It’s very helpful and useful !! I love it !!

Has so much amazing info and thoughtful developers. Sure, I loved the app and all of the information it gave. But the part that impacted me the most was when I was deleting it. I had a miscarriage, so the following day I went to delete the app. I received an email shortly after saying they are sorry for my loss and other information about what my body will go through but that majority of those who experience this will still have healthy pregnancies afterwards. I can’t explain how much I appreciated that. Even though it was an automated message, it still is impactful for mothers experiencing loss. No other pregnancy app did that. I will be downloading again next time!!

A fun resource!. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted a cool app to keep track of everything. I found Ovia by just browsing through some of the top rated pregnancy apps and I absolutely love it. It’s such a fun and exciting way to keep track of your pregnancy with features such as a calendar to add doctor’s appointments, baby size/fruit comparisons each week, fun facts about baby’s development, and some incredible resources and articles. I’m nearing my due date and after using this app for the past 9 months I’d say I’m totally satisfied with what Ovia has to offer when it comes to following along with all the ups and downs of pregnancy and I’d recommend it to other women I know who are pregnant! It’s been a fun ride.

Perfect!. I used the regular ovia app for tracking my cycles & when I’m fertile. I struggled for years with a very harsh & unpredictable menstrual cycle. The app recommends so many different & helpful things to regulate your body or get to know it better. After about 6-7 months of using the regular Ovia app, I spent some alone time with my husband and found myself pregnant! These apps are amazing for every woman from every background. Happily tracking my baby’s growth, what to expect while my body changes & what to look out for as far as food & medications. It’s fun to involve my husband who is currently deployed! Makes things easier. Can’t thank the creators of this app enough for all of the help you’ve given us!

Some great, some just ok.. I love this app for some features & prefer Pregnancy+ for others. So I use both. In this app, I really like that the calendar shows how many weeks you are. I also love the organization of taking notes & having it show on the calendar. On other apps I feel your notes kind of get lost or it’s in one place that doesn’t coordinate with a date. One thing that definitely annoys me is the section that asks if I took my prenatals everyday. You can dismiss it, but there are about 5 questions you have to dismiss & they come back everyday. It’s a minor thing, but I wish I had the option to get rid of it completely. Other than that, I prefer the realistic looking baby to show development on the Pregnancy+ app vs this one that’s a vague cartoon.

Great App. This app is far-and-away the best pregnancy app out there though. I love it. 💕🙌🏼 I do wish I could find a way to give feedback without having to write a review on App Store every time... (there’s some feedback! 😆 Make it easier to give feedback.) I’d like some things to be added to the medication look-up list. It’s a pretty good list but I couldn’t find any medications listed for yeast infection (Monistat/miconazole, Diflucan/Fluconazole, tioconazole, AZO, etc.) which was irritating. I’d also like to know about the safety of supplements such as probiotics, EmergenC, Airborne, essential oils, etc. because I’ve heard mixed reviews about them. I agree with another reviewer that I felt kind of abandoned by the app when I went over my due date last time as well! I would have appreciated knowing any warning signs to watch for, signs of labor, reminders to register at the hospital, or anything encouraging to remind me that women go over their due dates all the time... rather than “Well we’re done here, are you? Have you forgotten to report the birth?” 🙄 When you’re “overdue” you just need major emotional support. Just saying.

Love most things but. Love most things but its like all the other apps I've tried in one way. And that is that it assumes your having the baby in a hospital and have a doctor. I know home births are not super common but they are growing in popularity. This is my third baby and we decided to try using a midwife and having our baby at home. Id like to see more options for that and more articles. It’s probably a challenge because theres not a ton out there but having it incorporated would help me be more informed and that the information is also for me not just women with doctors and those giving birth in a hospital. I love the layout and options of this app though. Everything looks clean and well thought through. I really wish I tried this app much sooner!

Useful, helpful, fun, & cute!!. I used the regular Ovia app not to track ovulation but only to track when I had my periods so I would know when it was coming, and understand when my moods would change during the cycle. When I marked I was pregnant (we weren’t really planning it but took a chance and it happens on the first try 😳), the app brought me to the ovia pregnancy app. I loaded it and found that it was even more fun and cute than the regular app. You can decide your background colors, post your picture, nickname your baby a fun name, even choose if you want the app to show you the size of your baby in bakery food references or fruit references, or some other reference. I like it. It give you info daily also about the growth and development of the baby.

Love this app but needs bump pictures!. I really do love this app. I used the Ovia fertility app prior to this one so it was an easy transition. I downloaded 2 other popular pregnancy apps and this one is definitely my favorite. It’s well organized and filled with tons of good info. I especially love the easy food and medication safety look ups! If I have one complaint though it’s that there isn’t a good place to upload weekly bump pictures. You can upload pictures but they aren’t easy to find again and it’s not like the other apps where you can click on which week it is and upload a picture there to keep them organized. I.e “week one pic” “week two pic” etc.

Best Pregnancy App. Happy that I am a first time mother In the 20th century and get to be so well equipped through my pregnancy with this awesome app. I was using the basic week update but now I’m 21 weeks and as I progress and have more planning to do I have just checked the app first to see if it provides what I’m looking for and it has 100% down to the Babylist registry. I’m happy I randomly found this on Apple store this would so much more work and stressful trying to find everything this app provides in different places. This is a one stop shop! Keep up the great work guys. I can’t think of anything that needs fixing. I would suggest maybe adding a hiccup counter. I placed mine yesterday under kick counter but I noticed this won’t work for that.

Doesn’t take into account diseases. Hyperemesis is a condition that affects about 1-2% of pregnant women. Common, but rare. And every day the app shames HGers by asking us if we are taking our prenatal. Trust us, we’d love to take a prenatal and do pregnancy yoga and love the life, but taking a prenatal generally makes us vomit our stomach contents. Brushing our teeth, walking through a grocery store, daily life is already hard enough. We feel bad we can’t take the prenatal vitamin (which isn’t as necessary to baby health as NUTRITIONAL FOOD is, says the American Pregnancy Association.) But even knowing that we have HG, because the app asks, it still shames us every time we open it, we can’t use it without it being like the nagging parent going “you really need to take a prenatal.” I would, if I could, if it didn’t make me vomit everywhere. Thanks, Ovia, for shaming pregnant women when you’re aware already of their disability during pregnancy.

My favorite. Like probably every new mom, I downloaded multiple apps when I found out I was expecting. Ovia was one of two that I actually kept. I love the daily facts and emails as well as the weekly updates with so much insightful information. The hand and foot growth pictures are just too cute along with the size of baby. Being able to track every symptom, doctor visit and special moment is super helpful (especially when you’re experiencing pregnancy brain). My only negative is that we decided not to know the sex so we didn’t choose one in the app however it referred to baby as she more often than he - it would help if it mixed it up in the same read or used “s/he”. Aside from that I love it and can’t wait to see what it offers post pregnancy

Great app. The information we get is great and I love how they use our baby’s nickname to personalize the information ! That is one of my favorite parts! Also I love how they introduced me to babylist ! That is one of the best things that happened in this pregnancy. Some of the information becomes a little mundane, and when you do put in some of the moods, and symptoms the app don’t do much with that information, it does not keep a chart or anything like that. That’s the only thing that i see a problem with unless I am not using that part of the app properly. I also love that they introduced me to different websites that help you get breast pumps and other pregnancy accessories that insurance pays for. For example like, pregnancy compression socks, or belly band, the owlet, and breast pumps that are not available on other sites. Thanks God for this app.

Just ok - avoid if you are dealing with EDs. I wanted to like this app, and overall it’s not bad in terms of features and functionality. The biggest downside for me is the articles. Some have been helpful, but others were clearly not written with mental health in mind. Particularly the articles on diet can be really triggering to someone coping with eating disorders, and it seems like a huge oversight to me given how common clinical EDs or any form of disordered eating is these days. There is also “helpful” diet talk slipped into articles on other issues, so basically clicking on any of them risks getting told to do the opposite of what your doctor has told you do to manage your mental health and eating behaviors. At this point I feel like I barely use the app because it’s not worth spiraling every time I’m cheerfully told to worry about gaining too much weight while pregnant :/

Very helpful. I used both Ovia and Glow when trying to get pregnant, and updated when I got pregnant. I truly appreciate the fact that Ovia has the food warning list, the medicine safety, the way it counts down your dates and tracks your pregnancy, and my husband and I both have so much fun looking at what size our baby girl is not only in fruit/veg but the “fun and games” and “cute but weird animals” for comparison. I do like the updates on mom and baby, the only thing I would change is the pic of the baby - in glow they have a more realistic look at her size as well as an ultrasound pic of a baby as far as you are, and the updates are more weekly than daily. I will continue using this app until our girl gets here and I’m sure once again when trying for baby #2.

Good, but not great. So far this app has been helpful for recording general information, however i think there are a few features they could improve on. - It would be great if this app was better integrated for the iPad. I would love to be able to read articles and what not on the bigger screen at night but the layout is so awkward that i find myself going to other sites/apps. - For the nutritional log i wish i could actually track my micros/macros and not just my “servings”. I have no idea how to properly convert to that and I feel like it does not provide a well rounded picture considering the importance of nutrition during pregnancy. I also wish I could enter the specific prenatal vitamin that i am taking so those values can be taken into consideration with my nutrition. - Lastly, I was hoping that it would be able to talk to my Apple Watch in terms of tracking and recording steps/ workouts ect. Something I do like is the Unique/Cute animal size comparisons. We got an absolute kick out of the fact that at 4 weeks it was the size of a water bear. 😆 Overall I will keep using it, but i do feel like i need to supplement with other apps.

Love both apps! Swear by them!. I’ve used Ovia for years simply to track my cycles so Id have no surprises. When it came time, & my partner and I were trying to conceive — the data I’d pre logged in my app was so accurate, we were successful our first try! I’ve used the Ovia Pregnancy app twice now to track both my pregnancies. It’s simple - clean lay out, makes it easy to research all the information provided on their app. It seems not one stone is left unturned here: including a live community of woman you can connect with on many different topics! Hope this helps anyone looking for a reliable app. This one has my heart and my greatest recommendation.

Good app needs more details.. This app is simple to use, which I love. It would be nice to have more details on baby development and/or body changes. I do sense it focuses more on smooth pregnancies and less on those who may have some slight complications. I’ve had morning sickness and weird symptoms (nausea, sensitives to some foods, muscle spasms, etc) throughout my pregnancy. It would’ve been nice if some common symptoms could be mentioned for those who have them can relate better. Also, the questions asked when you go on the app could probably go away. At the beginning of my pregnancy I couldn’t take my multivitamin because of morning sickness, so it was kinda annoying that the app kept asking if I took my vitamins. I wish I could have! But in my second trimester I was able to.

Worked great a year ago but.... So I used this app last year with my first child and I loved it. I downloaded three and this one was by far the most user friendly. It had everything I wanted right on my home page. I love tips and recipes and of course knowing where my baby is in development. However, I’m now pregnant with my second child and the app never works. It won’t open and it kicks me out often. I’m not sure what is going on. My phone is updated and has space so at this point I really think the app has a bug. I’ve stopped checking it because I won’t be able to access it for a week then all of a sudden it works and I’ve missed one of those weeks of development. I’m really disappointed with it at this point. Shame because it was one of the better pregnancy apps out there.

Not the best. I’ve been using this app for awhile now, and I’m 27 weeks pregnant. I started to notice after using it, I felt really emotional. Not an ideal state of mind when you’re already tired. I realised it is because of the way this app tracks what you input. The most recent thing I noticed is I’ve had some sleep disturbances this pregnancy, which is common and totally normal. The same day I input that particular data, the article titled ‘The working parent’s guide to insomnia’ came up. It basically outlines if you have insomnia it can lead to serious health issues, adverse labour issues, and affect breastfeeding. Um, what?!! Is this app a doctor? NO. Not only that, reading something like that is likely to cause MORE insomnia. Perhaps the developers need to think about HOW these articles can affect expectant mothers and work on building their confidence, not instilling unnecessary fear in their hearts something will go wrong.

Awesome companion. This app has been like a caring companion to me throughout my pregnancy. The style is kept light and friendly and is inviting. The interface is easy to use even though there are so many options. I love the ability to track daily stuff like emotions & symptoms in addition to food intake. I love seeing updates of baby’s size and a summary of what to expect each week. The most impressive part has been the “health coach” that periodically sends a message about general pregnancy topics but then actually talks to me when I reply back and offers advice on any questions. It’s hard to believe this is a free app! So many wonderful features that have been a great help and comfort through my pregnancy. Thanks Ovia for this good service you offer!

App is nice, not the community. So, among the nice features of this app, is a ‘community’ in which you can contribute thoughts, experiences, etc. The people on it, are horrible. They say terrible things that only frighten you and when you ask for options, everyone responds negatively. I wish there was a way to just turn off the option to even use it, but unfortunately there isn’t. Sometimes, if you upload your health data, the information given is more concerning that reassuring, so why would I even add that in anymore? I enjoy finding out how my baby is growing and what they are capable of doing at this point, etc. and the articles are nice to read just to see that some things are ‘average’ in most pregnancies, but I’m finding that I just end up more anxious with everything else.

Love this app, not the users!. I love this app! It has many great features and is easy to access and use. I used the Ovia fertility app to get pregnant and I highly recommend that one as well. My only real issue is with the community posts. So many users post things that are completely unnecessary and unrelated to pregnancy. They like to vent about their personal problems and relationship drama. It’s a waste of our time! I’m currently expecting my third baby and I try to be helpful and encouraging to my fellow expectant mommies, but having to scroll through and read ridiculous posts about who knows what gets very annoying and therefore I removed a star. I wish this app could filter out the unnecessary posts and keep the topics pregnancy related only! Otherwise, great and useful app!

people are rude. The app itself is great, gives kind of a visual on how big the baby should be, articles for each week, and you can ask questions to other moms. However I’ve noticed as a first time mom and other first time moms on there I have a ton of questions that others should be helpful and answer however there are a TON of RUDE people. Its to the point where it’s discouraging to a first time mom to even ask a question and not expect 5 rude answers in return. Definitely not worth it. Maybe they should monitor the comments better and when a person reports a rude comment block the person commenting from continuing to harass the person who reported it. If you are a first time mom and looking for answers to your questions I highly suggest going somewhere else unless you enjoy being talk down upon and rude responses. Deleting this app after this review because I can’t handle bullies. Sorry not sorry.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE but.... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP. The only thing that my feelings vary towards is the community posting where you ask questions to other moms. There are a lot of negative nancies who make it seem like its impossible for certain stuff to happen just because it isn’t or hasn’t happened to them. Especially with moms who think they may be carrying multiples, and end up finding out they really are. Believe it or not, a lot of these women can kill your excitement and also discourage you. So if you decide to ask anything, just a warning to proceed with caution. You can take what they say into consideration but DONT LET THEM DISCOURAGE YOU!!!!!!

Beware of adding a second pregnancy!. I’m pregnant with my second and wanted to use the app to log this pregnancy like I did my first. The app has an option to “add another pregnancy” which I selected and added my new due date. I then tried to go back to my first pregnancy, since the app clearly said I was adding ANOTHER pregnancy and not replacing or changing the due date, but my first pregnancy had been deleted. I am extremely upset that all of my data is gone, I specifically wanted to use this app because I thought it would allow me to compare between pregnancies because I had complications with my first. I am devastated that all the information I so carefully logged while anxiously awaiting my first child is just gone, without ANY warning. At the very least, the app should very clearly warn users that their prior pregnancy will be deleted if they try to use it a second time, it is extremely misleading to call it “add another pregnancy” when it is in fact REPLACING the first.

Just something to add. I used this app for the first 11 weeks, but found out shortly at my first appointment that I had a missed miscarried at 9 weeks sadly. So with that it really sucked but the app continues to go on as if your pregnancy is normal. Maybe they could add a tab that has options to put in you had a miscarriage. I know most people might just think well just delete the app but it actually wasn’t that easy to just delete after getting so excited, thinking you’d almost became a mom. But maybe this option can be put in place so miscarried moms can still see where the baby would of been at and where it stopped growing. Cause that loss was very hard, especially dealing with the what if’s.

Wish I would've found sooner! Best pregnancy app!. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant, and I just found this app, as I had been using others up until now. As soon as I opened it, and used it a couple times, I deleted all my other pregnancy apps. This one is by far the best! The videos are the most personable and relatable, and all of the information is presented in a fun and customized way! I especially love how they use your baby's name in everything they tell you! This app has SO much that the others don't, and it's a lot more relevant and modernized!! You won't need a handful of apps, just this one! I only wish I had found it at the beginning, but I look forward to using it for the rest of my pregnancy!

Frustrating app. UPDATE: after the most recent app update I’m unable to even use this app. Very disappointed that there’s been no news or a fix to this yet. I will give it a few more days and then I’m getting rid of it. No sense keeping an app that doesn’t work and taking up space. Wish I could use for the rest of my pregnancy. I’m giving this app two stars for the simple fact that I have difficulty even opening it before everything freezes. It’s very slow and once it finally does load I have a hard time going to a different section without it freezing up again. I can’t look at the “in the womb” for the current week without it freezing as well. Then I have to completely close out of the app and restart it which again takes forever. I love the content and the ease of tracking everything as well as the breadth of information offered but I’m getting frustrated with the constant freezing bug.

Best app I've tried so far. I used Ovia while TTC and I loved it and it truly helped me get pregnant. I was using many different apps including Glow and Ovia was the only one that let me adjust and personalize it to my cycles and changes. Other apps keep going back to 28 cycle days even though you change it. I have cycles of 50 days so I needed an app that let me personalize and understood and tell me what would happen in those 50 days. Now using the pregnancy app is so easy and fun and gives me a lot of helpful tips. It also helps me personalize it to set the weeks and time as my doctor calculates and not self calculate it based on 28 days. I love it and am so grateful to have the app! Can't wait to get up each morning to see what it new with my baby!!

Third Pregnancy Best App Ever. Every pregnancy I’m on the hunt for the right app to give me updates on my baby-mainly the veggie comparison and the weekly growth updates. At most, I would open the app once a week to check size but after the first trimester, it would lose its appeal. This app is so amazing that I check it everyday for its tiny one sentence updates on my baby’s growth. It asks me every morning if I took my prenatal the night before. It shows me baby size compared to baked goods, veggies, animals, and random stuff! The weekly growth updates are awesome and even have a multiples option if you’re having more than one baby! This app is seriously the best pregnancy app. 100% recommend.

Best out there. GettingPregnant young is very scary and you want to make sure you have all the information needed turn true that you have a healthy pregnancy and this app has by far been the best app I’ve downloaded for this purpose. I had a miscarriage back in September and got pregnant again at the end of OctoberAnd this app has been a lifesaver. Not only can I track my babies growth but it also gives me tips and information I need on staying healthy both physically but also mentally and emotionally and it also gives me tips and gives me suggestions on what I could experience each week ofPregnancy so I’m not left in the dark I definitely will continue to use this for future pregnancies I love this app!
