Impressive. The attention to detail is pretty incredible. A very addictive game! Hope they come out with a new version or update this one. I think it would be worth it. I downloaded and completed this version after finding Sky Force Reloaded, which is equally amazing.

Plz read. It's great! Just I don't like how hard it gets to pass a level when you already did, but then it says you have to finish the quests. It gets annoying. But I still play it. I've actually been playing it for 7 years!

Great challenge!. Thoroughly enjoying the challenge! I especially like that you don’t have to get every challenge in one run, that you can focus on just one at a time if you wanted to and you don’t lose the other ones!

Great game!. A heck of a lot of fun and enjoyable replay. Very few micro transactions, you can level up without them, but one makes for nice quality of life (for a small and reasonable amount). I absolutely recommend this game!

Awsome game just needs an update. I love the game it’s really nice to play very good graphics and it isn’t an scam like most games it just needs an update on the plane and the game would be even more awesome

One of the best shmups. I don’t think it gets much better than this for a shoot em up ! It’s not a bullet hell shooter but it is beautiful to look at,has a great soundtrack and the mechanics are simple (which is a plus to me). Also, it has high replay ability due to hardness levels and trying to get the achievements for each hardness.

Clunky. It’s a pretty enough game. But my ship stays right beneath my finger. So I keep getting blown up by things I can’t see because my finger is in the way. If you visit the preferences you’ll find an option for the finger position to be offset. The game should give you the choice from the outset. But honestly it still seems kind of clunky. Sometimes the ship won’t go to the edge where it needs to go, because your finger hits the edge… leaving your ship in the middle of danger. Oh well

Keeper. I add and delete 100’s of games a year. This one always stays along with Risk. I don’t play it daily, but I consistently come back trying to improve my ship so I can beat tougher levels.

Great Game. This game reminds me of the simple and fun games of my childhood, all while keeping me entertained with new age graphics and levels. Not easy but challenging and fun. I would definitely give this game a try if you seek hours of entertainment and skill building fun. Only reason I don’t give it five stars is because it is tough to use your finger and move fast at times other than that... all day fun for days...

Awesome Jet Shooter!!! The BEST!. This game is too much fun! You can play through levels multiple times and as you win challenges, you unlock harder ones! You can also upgrade your ship which looks very nice and level up your cannons and add new features. The game play is very smooth and I honestly 100% love this game and see no flaws at all. Controls are great and has different settings to your liking. The adds can be removed and quite honestly the adds don't even bother me. They are not even close to annoying like some other app games that cram adds down your throat. It's a pleasant game play experience, minimum adds, in game purchases that you honestly don't even need. Unless you want to progress quicker but honestly progression In this game is a nice pace and over all a fun HIGHLY ADDICTING GAME with very good challenges. Download this game everyone...I promise you you'll enjoy the heck out of it. Blast everything to bits!

Good- But don't try and beat it.. This game is well designed and has good mechanics. But like any free game, it's designed to frustrate you to the point of spending money. Typical escalating upgrade with increasing spawn time gag. If you don't want to pay money, you will literally be playing the same levels hundreds of times to up grade. But a good play till that point.

3/5 because level 5 is dumb. This game is great. Amazing graphics and great game play. However level 5 is just stupid. You have to do an internet search to just pass it.... never mind the fact even doing that achievement is virtually impossible. I paid actual money to this game I like it so much but they need to re-release it without the level 5 issue. I don't want to spoil the game but everyone knows.

Level 5. This game is very fun. UNTIL you get to level 5. Level 5 is there in the chance that you progressed that far in the game without spending money. I don’t know what you need to beat level 5. I’m guessing maxed out everything. This level is so much harder than previous levels it isn’t even funny. It’s not even fun hard. Just frustrating. You should be able to slowly build up your ship as you go through the game. Not hit a brick wall at level 5.

Great Game!!!. This game is a lot fun. The game looks great and I love the sound effects and the music. The game is challenging enough to keep you hooked. I only have one complaint, the game keeps on crashing on me. I would love to play more but it's just too frustrating when the game lags or crashes. Please fix these issues.

Super Rad!. I was looking for a game similar to 1941 because I used to play that when I was little lad and was hoping to play something to just pass the time ! Boy was I blown away. This game has me thinking about it all day sometimes. I play whenever I have just a little bit of time during my busy schedule and it’s absolutely perfect! Fun, exciting, engaging, and intense!! 5 stars no problem! Looking forward to beating this and trying the new “Reloaded” version. Cheers!

Is there a Co-Op Version/Feature?. This is a great solo player game that does not require internet to play. The only thing I did not like was the reset option. Accidently clicked it and lost all of my progress. Would it be possible to include an online multiplayer Co-Op function so we can team up with our friends?

Future Shooter?. This game was so ahead of its time I wish there wasn’t another one. The graphics were amazing as well as the game layout. I would love to see a future game just like this by you guys.

My first rating in years!. This game is so worth the time for me to stop and write a review - something I haven't done for the App Store in a long time. The game is great, graphics are fun, and it'll keep me busy for a long time. I got the double star upgrade; it encourages me to play more and helps me upgrade quicker. I was happy to send a little support to the developers! This game reminds me a lot of Space Deadbeef! Fun stuff.

Keeping your bombs, shield and laser. This game is almost perfect. The only thing I see wrong is that before each level you have the opportunity to purchase bombs, laser and shield which is good but if you don't use them in that level you lose them. I believe whatever you don't use should be carried over to all levels until they have been used up where at that point in time you would purchase more but i don't believe people earn stars to lose them or even waste them. Please fix this and fix also in sky force reloaded. Thanks

Borderline pay-to-win. I’ve played this game on numerous platforms and was surprised to find it started as a mobile game. They do everything they can to try to get you to buy “stars”, which are the in-game currency used to upgrade weapons. Stars are used on the console releases, too, but there are two big differences on the iOS version. First, you only earn about 1/3 of the stars per level on iOS versus console. Secondly, after each weapon upgrade, they either force you to wait 10 minutes for the upgrade to apply or you can speed it up by paying with more stars. Definitely feels like pay-to-win. Otherwise, it’s a fun game and controls pretty well on iOS. Only real complaint gameplay wise is that it feels a hair slow to track movements. Overall, I’d still probably give it a mild recommendation.

Great game, really chalanging. This game is awesome. The gameplay is immersive, the graphics are great, and it’s the first mobile game to make me get out of my seat to play it. I would absolutely recommend this game, but to any newcomers: BE PREPARED. This game is incredibly challenging and overwhelming hard at first. I’ve had the game for about two days now and I’ve only gotten through four levels because it is so hard. But don’t get me wrong, it’s not hard in the way that it’s impossible to progress and you immediately uninstall it. It makes it hard to progress, and you often have to go to previous levels to grind so you can upgrade your ship. The grinding is quite enjoyable as the levels are very replayable and will always push you to get more and more achievements. There are no micro transactions, which is often a pet peeve of mine with games like this. Ads are rare and are often able to be skipped. Overall, I love this game and recommend to everybody. Devs, great job!

The best shooter I’ve ever played!. If there were a rating of 10 stars this game would receive it. I’ve enjoyed hours and hours of play with only limited ads. If there were just more games like this. Highly recommended fun.

Buyer beware!!!. Very addictive, but buyer beware. I brought several of the extra, like double stars and a couple other upgrades. Stopped playing because I didn't have an apple device for a few months. Got a new apple device downloaded the game and hit restore, not only did my plane not have any of the upgrades but none of my purchases were there. I wrote tech support and still haven't gotten anything. When I first started playing I hadn't stopped playing it since I down loaded it. It takes a minute to get enough fire power to really love it.

Quality game, super fun and hard to put down. I downloaded this game a few years ago and kinda just played it a bit. Got back into it a couple of weeks ago and wow it’s really a quality game through and through. From the graphics to the user interface is a much more intuitive experience than playing say a Raiden II port. It takes a while to level up but you really feel like it’s worth the effort to do it. The replay value is high especially with finding the hidden cards and hidden levels. Also the sound and graphics are some of the best I’ve seen on the iPhone. 10/10

Great shooter!. Extremely fun! I just wish I wouldn't have to worry so much about my thumb getting in the way of ships and missiles that it covers. 99% of my deaths are from stuff coming from behind and you HAVE to have your finger touching the screen in order to play.

Great!. But sometimes work slow and even freezes and I lose all my earned stars after the game freezes and crash...

Super awesome!!!. I have played quite a few jet shooters before, and they were pretty boring, but this is just amazing. I will start playing and then not want to stop because its just the perfect balance of easy and hard. The only thing that could be changed is that it takes too long to recharge the energy so I spend stars and can’t upgrade. Other than that its all great.

Sky Force Rules!. It's a lot like ReLoaded but apparently it's based on an earlier version that has had an anniversary re-release with improvements. That's pretty sweet, but if it had the cards, planes, pilots and all the other bells n whistles of ReLoaded; yet was still this version of this game otherwise that would be amazing! And if the Developers made a hybrid including all of both games (+ maybe some bonus levels or a DLC). THEN: "I Would Actually Pay For That!"

Still one of the best mobile games. Have played this game for a few years now and compared to most games that I’ve played on the App Store this is one you should defiantly get, it’s a near flawless game and a solid pick for anybody looking for a nice game to help time pass :D

Excellent. Great app! Tons of fun and challenging. I haven't made any in app purchases and have advanced well unlike some apps which make it near impossible to level up without purchases. Excellent and by far a better app than ones that I paid money for.

Good As An Arcade Shooter Gets. Excellent levels, challenging, rewarding, fast-paced action. The world and your capabilities expand as you complete stages. Pay some bucks for the team who put this together, and you get good stuff. Super fun. Huge thumbs up!

Awesome. One of the the best airplane shooting games I've ever played. This game is very challenging which makes it more fun. When things get tough I take a break from the game, come back and mission accomplished. If you like blowing stuff up and I highly recommend this game.

LOVE this game!!. I really enjoy this game, and heartily recommend it. But Devs, I have a question regarding shields. I purchase shields....but I don’t get shields in-game. So then at the beginning of each level, I spend more stars to power up shields....but I still don’t get shields in-game. What the heck is going on here? What do players have to do to get shields in-game???

Was this supposed to be a paid app?. Smooth controls and beautiful graphics. The fights are intense. Plenty of lives, and they regenerate really quickly; meaning theres not really a waiting mechanic like in most free games. The ads are so few and far between that you'll forget they're even there. All in all, it feels like I should be paying for it, but somehow this is free. Download and see for yourself.

One of the best shmups. I've play the original on my old Sony P800 phone and it is one 9f the best shmups out there. The graphics are good, the rpg elements are also good, and the replayability is outstanding. I have game on most of my systems. I just wish the stars transfer to new devices though.

Top Notch Scroll Shooter!. One of the only few games that I’ve ever liked playing in the arcade scroll shooter genre. It’s very simple yet very challenging and it allows for going back to lower levels to fully accomplish the missions. Not a lot of bells and whistles when it comes down to purchasing items which I appreciated very much. One time purchase for most items including disabling ads permanently for a very low price ($2) compared to other games with very expensive prices. This games has my seal of approval and would definitely and highly recommend it to anyone who loves this type of games 👍👍👍👍👍😊

Best vertical shooter. My favorite vertical shooter of the moment. Smooth gameplay, amazing graphics and good music. If your patient you can complete all the levels without having to buy in app purchase

Interruptions Galore. Every time this game is played, ads interrupt gameplay; turn on airplane mode to avoid this or bear through it. Upgrades take time and more time to apply as level progression goes on; I have waited up to 10minutes for upgrades to be applied and players cannot use upgrades until the time elapses. Players can still play as upgrades are waiting on the time to pass. All in all, I feel this game is a big advertising ploy rather than fun because of all the interruptions and delays in gameplay and use of in-game progressions. To me, this is a major deterrent to building desire to play this game more.

Nice game. To the people complaining about the freemium model. Developers have to make a living, too. Yes, I missed the days where you paid one price and had access to the whole game. But, you make the choice. Enjoy it for what you want to, and drop it after. The developers will get the message. Nice graphics and a fun game. Have to have a lot of patience if you don't want to pay. But it is want it is. I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Best Bullet Hell for iOS. You can totally play this without iap but even spending $2 or so you can disable adds and get boosted star collection. Better graphics than the "retro" titles and much more precise. Great attention to detail. I'd LOVE other ships.

One of the best shmups on iPhone. Great game, challenging especially in the harder modes on the stages. A little on the grindy side for upgrades, but you don't have to pay to progress. Ads aren't terrible though I did still pay to remove them. The game is worth spending some money to support.

Addicting. The response is extremely accurate. For only a few dollars you can get it add free and unlimited lives. Great graphics and the goals are easily attainable with enough patience and skill.

Extraordinary. I never finished this game and the reason being it’s because my hand was hurting for such a bad position on the ipad is not meant for an ipad . I just bought my new Switch . I would love to pay for this game again on that platform. In other Words this game is played better with joy sticks

Sky force. Pretty good, prefer reloaded. Couple of complaints the tournament every weekend shouldn’t be restricted to five friends if it’s a global tournament your playing against the world why the five friends? Second your main gun tops out at 3, but your wing cannon’s go to 5 why? Third your cards shouldn’t be throwing out duplicates of the same card over and over just don’t have it appear or have it be a limited ship upgrade card like sky force reloaded. Other than that it’s ok. I guess the green ship you started with is one of those card’s that rarely appears getting tired of this paper red ship.

A FAR CRY FEOM THE CONSOLE VERSION. 9 levels-a build timer that reaches unreasonably long wait times(pay more to build now)-adds after every game(but a way to pay to stop them)-reduced earnings(they sell 2X credit boost)-5 of the 30 cards are 1X hanger increases,(so far) That said there isn’t any real reason to bother worth this game. As i said only 9(NINE) levels. I’ll never understand why developers choose to sell there games this way. It’s dishonest & obvious and will only serve to hurt their own name sin the end. If i where able i would give it ZERO STARS

Not made for phone. It's frustrating to play this on a phone when it's clearly not designed for one. The enemy ships will sometimes come from the bottom of the screen, you know, where my thumbs are. This makes not getting hit by them unavoidable without memorizing the levels. The levels themselves are wider than the frame so you have to move side to side to see the whole area. This was obviously designed for a TV or console and feebly adapted to mobile.

Great shooter to waste time on -2* due2 support. I love this game skyforce 2014 and reloaded. I’ve been playing them both from release on my iPad but I played reloaded more due to the ship perks. My double star purchase went to reloaded which was dumb first off because the ads and the double time I played yet the one time I replied to support they changed the email and sent it back when I said that’s fake,they tried to remove it from my account.

Solid Shooter. The good: A classic shooter, challenging and well-executed. Countless hours of fun, if shooters are your thing. I highly recommend the "no ads" and "star doubler" in-game-purchases, but you don't need to spend real money to experience the full game. Great slow/pause controls let you interrupt gameplay without dying. The bad: Your ship and weapons are always basically the same. A little variety/choice would do wonders for replay value. (They saved this feature for the sequel, "Sky Force Reloaded".)

Superb!. A beautifully crafted, visually spectacular arcade game.

Ad spam. Why is it that as soon as I spend money, then the ads come thick and fast! Not just that, now it’s ads that don’t quit when you press the x to stop them! Smashing the x over and over but the best fix is quitting the game and playing something else. Bit of a rip off especially when the manual weapons must then be re bought each use if finding them is too random. Drop the cost of the upgrades and the weapons for such a hectic difficulty curve. In summary the devs are too focused on the profit line at cost of quality game play as the lack lustre upgrade reward for exorbitant cost and ridiculous difficulty urge make it a soon to be forgotten title. The fact that the stars not only need to be collected but that they are opaque when enemy fire is amongst them is the biggest kicker.

Best shooting game...ever. Massive replayability and super addictive gameplay. Very well balanced upgrades vs stars earned to do such upgrades and even the couple of $ I spent in game are worth every cent. If you want fast paced action with unreal graphics and huge replayability yet casual enough to just open app and play, you've found it! Highly recommended, 10 out of 10. Bring on next upgrade!!

A lot have changed. I use to be a big fan, but the game has really changed I downloaded it played for a couple weeks but what put me off is that I have to wait after 10 games. Deleted!

Fantastic fun. Perfect game for playing in such a short amount if time. Have been chipping away at it for weeks, still hasn't lost it's charm! But the cards feature seems to have fallen away. Is this getting fixed in the next update?

Outstanding. This game is amazing, it's got heaps of challenges & level variations. The only thing it's missing are instructions on how to play - look on the net for that info. But once you work it out, you'll be hooked. It's worth buying the ad-free version for a few $$ & there's a few options also worth getting, all for less than 2.50ea.

A great game if you buy the double stars upgrade. -latest update has made the game occasionally jerky on the 5s- The best old school shooter I've found on the iPhone, but only if you upgrade (cheaply) to double stars. Otherwise you have to do the usual free app 'grind' of replaying over and over and over and over and over to get anywhere. Once you pay for that, it's excellent, though I still find cards are way too rare - which once you've finished everything else is the only reason to keep playing.

Wow, a F2P game done right!?. First off, best traditional vertical shoot-em-up on the App Store bar none. Beautiful, responsive, great soundtrack, massive explosions, just great. The upgrade system seems a bit grindy at first, but the game is such a joy to play and the upgrades come quickly enough that it works. First game with IAP that I actually used, not because I needed to but because the devs deserve some cash for making this.

Excellent!. Infinite Dreams are masters at game development. I played their Tower Defense game Jelly Defense and think it is the most creative TD out there. Everything made from the ground up very unique and perfectly done. This game is no different... The best aerial shooter out there... They thought of everything. Well done!

Fun but grindy!. Pretty fun game, looks great, sounds great but wow how much do you need to grind in this game to make progress. Even when purchasing double stars I could be here for years and probably would even get close to fully upgrading everything.

Number 1 game 4me. If there's one game u need. Then look no further. I'm addicted to it, and even though I had to pay $ 2 to take the adds off. I've got this game for life. I think it's a must have. A little slow to load, but worth the wait. Enjoy.

Favourite iOS game. I've been gaming on the iOS for many years & I think this is by far the most fun, rewarding, well made and valuable game I've ever played. A big thumbs up for the developers who've put a lot of thought and effort into this game. I do hope there'll be more in the future. Well done!!

Awesome. This is one of the best games reminds me of when I was a young boy playing the arcade game 1942 very similar very addictive but I think you should be able to upgrade your main cannon to a different type of fire power and you should be able to shoot two missiles at once instead of just one at a time and you need a few more levels maybe even change your plane and I don't think we should have to wait to get upgrades when they have already been purchased or have to wait to play another game when you bomb out if you have more lives left other than that it's awesome. I will rate it 5 stars if you do a few or all of these ideas.

Love it. Upgrade ships out of mission!. Just like old school arcades but with a role playing twist. Highly enjoyable.

Great Entertaining Game. I am a big fan of these flight games. Brings back childhood memories. The game is very well made. Graphics are impressive. It's very challenging and addicting. It's a pity that lasers, bombs and shields must be purchased with stars. Should at least be provided with one of each when they have been unlocked.

Very good but more levels please. Really polished game with great controls however level 7-8 progression is stupid, had a ridiculously high number of other people needing to complete to end level 7 before I can go to play level 8, (was 100k dropped to 50k) then, people reach that benchmark, then... It says available in next update, bit misleading!

Needs a polish.... This is an enjoyable scrolling shooter, reminiscent of the old table top arcade shooters. However, the game centre integration is extremely poor. It rarely displays game centre achievements, leaderboard etc, and score does not like to update. There are only 10 lvls shown in game, yet when you get to lvl 7 it says that only 4.5k players have made it to this lvl, and another 95k players are required before you can progress any further! Why should this be the case? Progression should be based on your own achievements, not other ppls. Overall a good game, but spoilt by an obvious lack of forethought and attention to detail.

Excellent game with a generic flaw. I don't write reviews. But I want this game to be better. Gameplay: A+, Graphics: A, Amount of content: C - and that's the flaw. Although it says it requires more people to get to the last level to unlock more. But still. It's needs 3 times the levels with a lil less grinding required. And I'd pay for it. Well done.

Made with love. Really great arcade plane game. Better than a lot of ones that were in the arcade, unobtrusive freemium features. Would happily have paid for this game up front but will settle for in app purchases. Hope to see more from the dev team.

Really awesome game. I liked everything about the game and it is really awesome. I liked the design but the one thing that bugged me the most was that when I try and buy 5000 stars, it says it is $0.99 but in fact, it said 'Do you want to confirm purchase for $1.29?' I was really confused and I hope they fix the error soon. In summary, I think it is the best shooting game I have ever downloaded apart from the purchase error thing.

Great game that needs more people playing to unlock content. This game is well polished and plays very well. Having lots of fun trying to complete everything 100% while waiting for stage 8 to unlock. Unlocking new stages relies on a certain number of other players getting up to the same part. I've been waiting days now watching 8 unlock progress from 25% to 27%.... Silly idea

Love it!. Great game! Don't hesitate! Very addictive.... I only download the game for something different and a little old school. I wasn't expecting the game to totally Rock! Which It does! Best used with good quality blue-tooth speakers, as the sound effects are awesome! 'Yes, all the towers can be destroyed on level 5'! Sure... Only If you are God like!

Awesome shootem up. Love this game, playing for ages and it's a great balance of difficulty and reward with modern graphics. No pressure to pay to win either. However, I would pay small payments for extra special levels if they released them.

Thanks for the update. That's flawlessly implemented. We keep getting new content with updates instead dumb fixes. First for the App Store. This guy must be making some money from the voluntary payments, and guess what he deserves it.

Superb. I've played some pretty bad games relating to this style. However this is the best one by a country mile make no mistake when you spend your few bucks to remove those pesky adds. You get something unmatched in its genre for your smart phone devices. The graphics are a delight to watch and some times distracting to its credit. The feel and control is brilliant especially navigating the lasers and rockets, and I would recommend this to anyone. This game approves my rating of 10/10 as this is the best retro arcade shooter I've ever played.

Amazing game👍👍. Honestly a great game

Very grindy. It’s a fun enough distraction, but you’re limited to 10 lives at a time and the more you lose the longer the timer gets. Even applying upgrades requires you to wait and the timer for better upgrades gets longer and longer. Coupled with the fact that it’s stingy on in game currency means that you have to play levels over and over again to get upgrades that you need for later levels. It would be worth a few bucks if the in app purchase unlocked everything, but they nickel and dime you. If this is just a distraction, and you don’t play too often, it’s fine for $0.

Great shooter. A great game that encapsulates everything that I loved from playing these types of games when I was a kid back in the 80's arcade machine days. Lots of difficulty levels, plenty of challenges and just enough upgrade stars for upgrades coming to keep it that way throughout without it getting too difficult or making it too easy. Great job

Good Arcade Styled Fun. Great action shooter. A bit monotonous but always my go-to game as I’m clearing off each of the stages and difficulty levels.

The best iPhone shmup. The best shmup on iphone. Graphics are gorgeous and most importantly the controls are perfect. Easily the best I have seen. It's also one of the rare cases where free to play done right. I only spent some money on it to support the devs for making this game and hopefully keep it updating in the future. Andrej

Superb top-down shooter. Addictive, beautifully designed, well-balanced and addictive. This is a superb shooter. Excellent, challenging gameplay balanced with just the right balance of achievements keeps be coming back again and again. Good all rounder. Simple controls, Easy to learn. Does seem to slow just a little when signing in to Game Center. And initial load wait time is a little up. But if u can deal with those minor quips then get yourself a good free game. And btw it's not PTW,

Just like an old school shooter!. Now with the ability of being played on an iPhone... And has adverts! And payment options if you are too stingy like the rest of us who have the patience to wait for upgrades instead of just paying for it. Love the game, wish there were more like it. Would recommend.

A great game but a little spoiled by.... ...the money grabbing. The graphics are excellent, the game play is smooth and fun. As a shoot-em-up it excels. It's free to download and play, which is great for getting your eye in and seeing if it's a game you want to commit to. But to charge for add-ons, and charge again to remove adds is a bit rude. To also delay ship upgrades unless you spend even more stars (in game currency) in the hope of making you spend out more on in-app purchases is very rude. Make a game and sell it, don't purposely hamper play in order to squeeze money out of people. This is why despite having a good game I'm only giving you 3 stars.

Good game but I lost my account. It's a great game but I had a phone damage on my phone. When I got my new one I can't seems to load the old one despite being saved on game centre and Facebook. Please help.

Wow.. Only been playing for a couple days but I'm ridiculously impressed by this game. Best top down shooter on the App Store in my opinion. Haven't hit a pay wall yet, but if their IAP structure is reasonable I will happily pay the devs for their hard work. Great work!

Great gameplay; appalling requirements to progress. Beautiful graphics, great action puzzle gameplay. However, to progress you need a certain amount of 'medals' (e.g., "destroy 100% of enemy forces"). These medals can be hard to get, and are a totally unnecessary restriction. Also, earning stars is too slow, thus need a lot of 'grinding' to increase ship powers to earn more stars to increase ship powers to earn medals. All unnecessary. 'A' for gameplay design. 'F' for game progress requirements. This is simple to fix--developers are you listening?

Fantastic graphics but terrible balance. The graphics on this game is absolutely stunning. I am very impressed by it. However the game is unbalanced on how you go to the next level. You can't just beat the boss you also need to get achievements in each of the levels. This just creates an artificial way to prolong the gameplay. Would have been a 5/5 if it was not for that.

Like a classic. The game reminds me of the golden age of top-down shooters for psx and saturn. You'll want to spend the cash to double star collection and remove ads, but thats okay because a game like this used to cost $70. Here its less than $10! My only gripe is that its on a mobile device. I'd love to play it with a traditional controller.

This Game Rocks!!. This is actually my first ever rating/ review. That being said, it should speak volumes as to the quality of this game. Great, colourful graphics, interesting music backdrop which makes the experience more exhilarating. This game definitely tests your memory and reflexes as you progress through the higher difficulty settings. There are not a great amount of levels, but they are all challenging enough to make the upgrades necessary to progress. In turn, this means grinding and replaying cleared levels. Which is not half bad considering that this will make your skill level improve. Enough to keep you entertained for a long while. Well worth the download and exemplary as a free game. If only there was an expansion, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Perhaps customization for your aircraft's appearance? That would be beyond amazing!!

Great but difficult. It started by being so much fun I even bought 2 packages however all of a sudden the game became so hard even with upgrades Why do you have to make it so hard, kids are frustrated and don't want to play anymore, even I find it hard. And to unlock new level why do we have to have so much medals, it means replaying the same level over and over. I loved the game at the beginning but now at level 5 I find it frustrating.

Challenging fun. Sky force is a fun but challenging top down shooter that is tough but rewarding to play, the game has fair simplistic gameplay but works really well with touch controls and feels very responsive. I noticed that it is really tough to see your health which is fairly frustrating, the health is next to the plane itself which means your thumb will be covering it and I have died a few times seemingly randomly because I couldn’t see that my health was low. Overall a super fun game with tons of replay ability that make for an fun time passer!

This game is SO much fun!. It reminds me of 1942 but it so much better. The ability for it to track your progress, build up your planes strength and the introduction of goals on ever difficult levels gives this game huge replay value. The ability to buy upgrades so you can kick more but is actually cool as far as in app purchases go because they are so inexpensive. I've paid a lot more for less. It's better played on a wide screen so the iPhone is tougher than playing on an iPad or the Apple TV but it gets me by until I can get home and play in my TV.

How shoot-em-ups should be.. Well balance, good value, lots of fun. A bit grindy without the star doubler. It's also gorgeous without totally annihilating battery life.

Forced adds. I love this game genre but when you force adds on me I tend to dislike it. If you actually put things like boosts in the game I’d watch an add but screw shoving them down my throat.

Absorbing & fantastically destructive fun. Iterative missions upgrading your missiles and wing guns are the key. No money is required if you're determined and patient. This game is truly fun and numbingly frustrating, rolled into spectacular explosions.

One fatal flaw that makes me not play:. The plane sits under your thumb...many games of this type, the plane is above your thumb- if you can’t see the plane- literally, what’s the point?

Just get Sky Force Reloaded instead. Don’t even bother with this one. Everything this one does, Reloaded does better. Even with the star doubler it’s an absolute slog to get your plane powered up to any sort of effective level. I eventually just lost interest.

Awesome plane shooter. Liked the game a lot. But only thing bothers me is sometimes can't see the enemy bullets cause of explosions & stars. They mix up. Also getting stars is too low which problems upgrading plane. Overall awesome game.

Fun at first but gets old quickly. The graphics and gameplay are great but it's the same thing over and over. It's a grind to upgrade your plane and the ads are terrible...video ads with difficult to close buttons so you always accidentally click the ad.

My Thoughts. It is a fun little game and can be challenging and exhilarating. For me it can be a real time stealer. However, if you have free time you will enjoy this game.
