Volcano information activity. The app provides information on current volcanoes with ash deposits in the air. The location of the volcano in relationship to airports and major cities. Between my earthquake app and the volcano app, my knowledge of current geophysics is very important to my every day life.

An Aviation Must Have. If you live near a volcano or operate aircraft near them, you need this App and the modest purchase cost for Ash Alerts. This morning, Mt Sinabung (Sumatra) ejected sufficient ash to trigger a “Red” alert, potentially a hazard to aviators and our aircraft. The warning popped with 2 min of Darwin’s posting time. If your flight has WiFi onboard, you could know long before others might be able to do so.

Why I love the app Volcanoes. Why do I love the app volcanoes? It’s because I can find out so much information about volcanoes where they are located and I can get volcano warnings. I am so lucky to have the app Volcanoes on my phone.

Volcano Spp. I love the app because I’m interested in following all volcanos. They intrigue me. I just hope there’s not a really big one blow. Thank you for the app.

Great App!. my daughter lives on the Big Island (fortunately in the Northern part) and I go to this app for any volcano news. It came in very handy with the 6.9mg earthquake in May, 2018! It’s precise, provides important information about EACH quake whether it’s a 7.0 or 2.0! It’s a fabulous lay-mans’ tool for anyone, especially those of us on the Mainland!

Easy To Use. This app is easy to use and understand. It gives volcano height and notes active volcanos. I’ve recently taken a class on volcanos and found this app to be a great help.

Fire Mountains. I live in the great Northwest. Having this app gives me peace of mind. Any time the slightest bit of ash comes from a tulivouri, the word for volcano in the Finnish language, literally fire (tuli) mountain (vouri), the app sends an alert, indicating the level of the threat anywhere in the world. It has a map and you can press a button to locate it. Some of them even have webcams! The reason I call them tulivouris is because the other word for (🗻,🌋) insults the God Vulcan. He is the God of Fire, Tulivouris, Deserts, Metalworking, the Forge itself, Blacksmiths themselves, the Hearth, and the Seasons, in the Roman Pantheon. But in the aspect of Fire generally his domain is the destructive aspect of fire (think California wildfire season - it invokes a lot of fear 😱), and in the aspect of Metalworking, it is of the highest quality armor and ancient battle weapons 🗡. I would suggest they change the name, but that would be very unwise, because no one would know what that means. 😞 It's a great app. 🤗

Volcanoes. Good app. Gives live feed eruption notice. It tracks conditions of volcanic activity. Also has a additional earthquake feed available for extra purchase.

Volcanoes. I am always curious about volcanoes, have been since I was an 8 or 9 year old. There was one book on volcanoes at our local library. The boy that lived up the block and I alternated borrowing it and definitely monopolized the book. It was adult level reading but we devoured it. Now when I look at your app I see notices about volcanoes I read about then. I do wish there were pictures of the eruptions or at least a stock picture of the mountain and maybe links to any information, but anyway THANK YOU FOR THIS APP! Carla

Mind. No one should be listening to my thoughts and reading my mind, rector volcanoes and earthquakes if you want to but to invade your house and record sex or to copy and paste your ideas / 0 point ... you all lack the ability to love : love it's black and white and I would not ever want this done to me

Volcanoes. I recommend that you update this app a little more so I can get alert from tongue island

Not worth it unless you pay for pro. If you download the app it will take a only a few uses before you realize it doesn’t allow you to access what feels like 90% of the data. There are better (free) apps out there. I suggest grabbing one of those.

Convenient app to see current volcanic ash updates. I follow a lot of geophysical activity around the planet. This is a nice app that sends alerts of activity if you want, and has a nice map of worldwide volcanoes and their current activity. some pay for upgrades for hardcore Vulcanist but has enough for my needs on the free version.

Volcanic activity- yess!. Actually it’s a terrifying phenomenon, however it is an interesting on-going database. I would prefer better live webcam links, but hey, at least you can see something. The maps could use improving; I find them ugly > maybe volcano links should be provided to google maps/Earth? Anyhow, fantastic subject matter should have a fantastic app! This one comes close!

Necessary Great App. Keeps me informed, I have learned a lot through using the app and getting up to date notifications. It is even more valuable when coupled with earthquake information.

Like it but need improvement. I really like this app. However, I am using dark theme because bright screen hurts my eye and it is difficult to read your information in the app. I had to turn dark theme off in order to read. Please make your app readable in dark theme. Especially for those who are partially blind or are color blind. Thank you.

Best Volcano App. This App is better than the others available right now in pretty much every area. I like the fact that it also shows quakes. If you click on any volcano it gives you a pop-up summary of quick information on it along with an “information” widget, which you can click on to be taken to a page where you can read more in-depth information about each volcano. The developers did a nice job of arranging the layout and information in this app so that it’s very easy to use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone on the fence about giving it a try!

Where is the world boiling over?. We frequently hear about quake activity in unknown places. It stirs my curiosity and my imagination and encourages me to explore the area to try to understand the dynamic of plate tectonics and its effect on the population. We know that things humans place in the atmosphere cause problems and even more so when Mother Nature decides to show us just how powerful she can be.

Absolute worst app! I even paid for more info! WASTE OF MONEY!. I want my money back!! Your app is pathetic. Not current, not accurate, information is minimal at best. You get more by Googling the volcano that you are interested in. Today’s Mt Etna which belched this AM is spewing ash on the hikers and has airlines diverted from that region isn’t even a blip on this app. I want my money back NOW! You should be ashamed of yourselves. I should have investigated your other apps which look like a bunch of stupid games. You have not business in this business!

Great but needs improvement. The app could have a filter for notifications that stops showing volcanic eruptions that are below a certain power.

VERY GOOD APP. I live in LA! App is very useful, intuitive, functional, and most of all informative. Let’s you immediately know the quake size, distance, depth, and link to US Government sources (other sources included!). Very important app to have!

Amazing. This app is great keeping me informed. It has really opened my eyes to what is going on around the world. The images are so crisp and clear! You can zoom in and then zoom in some more, like it!

PAC Rim Volcanos. I feel I need to keep track of the significant activity of these volcanos since we have many nearby. Finally, your app allows me to do this in an accessible manner.

Keeping informed, one eruption at a time!. Living in the shadow of the Cascade Mountain Range, in Oregon, USA, I’ve got Mt. Hood, an active strata-volcano, as my daily backdrop. Only 27 miles, as the crow flies, from my front porch. Mt St. Helens & Mt Adams are both just across the Columbia River, in the state of Washington, as well as Mt Rainier, near Seattle. The entire Ring Of Fire is very, very active, hence why this app is a great resource to see what is happening on a daily basis!

Fairly decent app. It’s a great idea and I enjoy looking at the information for all of the volcanoes. I think that some of the formatting could use a bit more work and some of the information on the volcanoes is inaccurate. Otherwise the only other issue that is worth mentioning is the notifications. The developer needs to configure them a bit better, or make them more like the earthquake app.

Love it, but…. I don’t appreciate being prompted to rate the app before I can use some of its features. How can I rate the features if I can’t use them? I took off one star for this.

Volcano's On Your Wrist. This app is serious about reporting, with all the details and if you have a smart watch,it will put this information as an alert right on your smart watch. I have a Garmin VivoActive Heart rate model that never misses an alert or a beat 24/7.

I love volcanoes. I consult this app to identify volcanic hazards that might affect my travel. Visiting scenic volcanoes is fun, but it is important to know the probability of eruptions that might close airports and/or roads. That was an issue when I was in Bali last year. An opportunity to see an eruption from a distance is ideal. The app is an excellent info source.

Volcano app. A great app, especially for free. I only gave it 3 stars because the activity info isn't as current as it should be. Living only miles from the San Andreas fault line which travels into the Sea of Cortez up to and San Francisco, means to me information, although most times in the past tense, it could mean even more of things to come. The Quake app is essential if you take what we’re being shown as important as it is. My only complaint is not being able to show a history of volcanic and earthquake activity along a specific stretch of fault lines. That being said I’ve been a little too critical of your app until I understood what it takes just to keep such important app accurate and dependable. So great job, and maybe add another even far more tie in of the two things of this two are so closely related. ✝️ ΙΧΘΥΣ <^><

A Fun, and Different App. About six months ago I bought a few apps which track earthquakes, hurricanes, and cyclones around the planet. I always had a hidden interest about volcanos. I live in a State of the US, where over 3/4 the real estate was formed by ancient volcanos. This is the State of New Mexico, so one day I checked with the App Store. I wondered if there was an app keeping up with all the volcanos on earth. This app does exactly that quite nicely. The app works with Maps, showing exactly where all the volcanos are located. There's both satellite imagery, as well as photos taken from planes, and ground. As much as can be possible, there's information provided for every volcano across the globe. There's current activity, as well as ash reports as they come in all over the earth. I have fun learning about all the volcanos, and terminology. I highly recommend this app, they give you a lot for just a few dollars.

Real time is wonderful!!!. This is one of the best apps when it comes to real time. The longest delay I've ever had was less than five minutes accuracy! Thank you for making a wonderful app!

Great App!. I live nowhere near volcanoes, but have intense amateur interest in geological events. This app has made me quite aware of just how active our planet is. Thank you Slava Barouline, for compiling the wealth of data for everyone, it has been extremely interesting!

Amazing information as it happens!. Keeps the user immediately up to date on some of the most interesting natural phenomena on earth!

Magma Chamber Readings. This is a overall great app but one thing that comes to mind that this app could use is a chart and or scale for magma chamber readings to give the app users a idea of what the magma levels are in the chamber and or chambers of a volcano is, at that point in time and maybe have abilities to get alerts if the magma should change in levels in a given volcano.

Informative. I love that I can see the ring of Fire perfectly mapped. I also love that I have the option for most volcanoes to read more information on them.

Number. I wish they would add up the number of volcanoes that happen every week.

Leave it.. I downloaded this app because I wanted to follow volcano activity in Europe. I first had the settings on for activity world wide. My device would not stop pinging. Then I changed it to weekly, the app changed it back to daily, I changed it again, then again and yet again. Each time the app would not except the changes and would change the alerts after I closed the app. It wouldn’t stop, so I put a stop to it by deleting it.

Potentially Active. This app is good for having a clickable map but needs to hire real researchers and volcanologists to provide more rigid scientific information about volcanoes. Currently every one listed here is rated a status of “Potentially Active” even those that are known to be extinct for eons and mere remnants of volcanic activity. Devil’s Tower is listed as potentially active even though plate tectonics have pushed the relic well away from its original magmatic source. Many info got links are to Wikipedia and many others have little info other than location. Still, this app is a good start, it just needs to be further developed.

If you really like Tracking Volcanoes!. I really am loving this App! It keeps you up to date, with what is going on World Wide! I just wish you could the time setting for 72 hours to which ones were the strongest, during that time period!

Great app!. I am an admitted geology junkie and consult this app frequently to decide what/where to look for more info on the ever changing volcanic activity throughout the world.

Limited. It doesn’t show the whole Map of Locations, just blobs of round about places. No Map of All the States or like; Yellowstone Lake has some sort of Dark circle with Blue in the Middle & I see NO explanation anywhere what that means?? I live in Washington & have friends in Wyoming so I thought this would have better knowledge- coverage on the Map. Also show this stuff in other Countries like with the EQ Maps. Color me CONFUSED! 😐

Good info but a little difficult to interpret. Fun app for keeping track of worldwide volcanoes but sometimes it’s hard to understand what it’s saying. The aviation based info isn’t really what I was looking for with this app

Why do I enjoy this app?. I certainly don't need to know about what, where and when the earth is spewing ash and magma. However, I'm really fascinated with just how active and moving the earth under our feet is. It's great to get the info on each volcano active and otherwise as well as recent quakes. Thanks.

Great app with many useful features.. Hi recently used this app on a 2 month cruise around the Indian Ocean from Perth to Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar and down to a number of ports in South Africa, Réunion Island and then returning to Perth. I was quite amazed to see the number of volcanoes we passed on our way to Singapore in the Indonesian region. The location of the various Tectonic Plates was also displayed and the way the app linked to various official volcanic activity databases was useful and brilliant too! There were many options available to the user to selectively display the data of interest on the inbuilt maps. In fact I was able to use screenshots to make maps of particular locations to display volcanoes to include in my photo collection of the journey. We did in fact visit some volcanoes and it was interesting to note the relative activity rating of each. It would be a plus if there was an option to take the screenshots in JPEG or HEIC with location data rather than PNG which doesn’t record GPS (why? It might have been justified 40 years ago when storage was a premium !) So the PNG files have to converted and GPS has to be added to allow the screenshots to appear in the correct part of the world. In this regard my iMac allows the screenshots to be automatically saved in JPG, but not the iPhone. In summary a great and capable app!

Life Saving app if the worst happens near you.. Volcanic events can be massive. If you are anywhere nearby when one goes you may die if you don’t get out ASAP. It also helps to understand the dynamic nature of our world. Knowledge is power. Seeing how many volcanoes are active on any given day can be very educational and give you a sense of normal or out of the normal amounts of activity. If Yellowstone ever goes pop, there goes the world. Be prepared and pay attention. Change is inevitable but preparedness is up to you.

Volcanoes. Great app and fun to see what’s happening with volcanoes around the world as well as at home.

Excellent: not any more. Informative and important for those who wish to understand what goes on and where it goes neat and far, HOWEVER, the app should let you see what you want to see. I don’t want to see earthquakes or ash or etc - just volcanoes Please fix and you can have your five stars back

It gives me a warning. It shows me all the volcanos in the world(almost)

It's a blast. Love to see what's cooking around the world. I've climbed a few volcanoes and try to imagine the forces involved.
