Needs work. I have had this app for a couple of years now and I struggle to get it to work the way I feel it should. I got the app to chart intarsia designs for my elderly mother (no computer there!) and if you design a block of a light color you can’t see the grid lines to know how many stitches are there. Being able to change the grid lines to a dark color would help. I haven’t found any way to be able to view my whole chart on the app - I can only see about a 30 x 30 section of the chart. I can scroll to other parts of the charts so I know they are there. I would like to be able to print my charts. I have tried saving my charts to my Dropbox but it never asks me what file I want them saved to - I just get a message saying they were saved - to where? I can’t find them. I’ve also tried emailing them to myself but only get a portion of the chart split between several pages. I have contacted the developers with suggestions and they are receptive but changes to the app have been minimal.

Great App!. Very intuitive and easy to use app. I'm impressed by the quality of the images that are generated from the charts, much better than other charting software. It makes designing even more fun!

No circular charts!. Wish description would have said no circ charts. Waste of $

Great app!. Developer involved and responsive. App well-designed. It just works! Better than any if the other knitting chart makers out there. Much better. Well worth the price.

Needs Work. This app creates charts with varying lines of color (white and light grey)...like a table. If the designer looked at an actual knitting chart, he should note that knitting charts are made up of white grid-like squares. I tried to get around this by filling the squares with color, but when I do this and save the chart it just looks like blocks of color. There aren't individual blocks of each color...which is what helps a knitter know where they are at in a pattern. I feel like I wasted two bucks.

Great App but only one thing missing. This app is perfect for me but I wish it had a better range of colors. Would love some more tradition fair isle colors and a better range of primaries (like candy corn orange) Then it would perfect! Well worth every penny though! :)

Knitting iCharts. I just got this app today & I love it. I have been using it today to help create a very completed cable pattern. I am creating the pattern as I knit & couldn't be happier with it. Thank you.

Needs one major improvement!. Nice app, and I like many things about it. One major failing (unless it's user error, and I just can't figure it out) is the ability to copy and paste repetitive lines. Also, it would be nice if you could rearrange the stitch icons. Do those things, and it will be a five!

Great app!. I am really loving this app. It is simple and intuitive to use, yet does pretty much everything you need it to do. There are a couple of extra symbols I would like (and have requested they be added) but apart from that it is just about perfect.

Great app for charting knitting. Wish the symbols were more consistent with knitting designers.

Good effort, but needs some work. My biggest complaint is that the app is a little sluggish and glitchy. It usually takes numerous tries to get the knitting symbols to scroll, and the interface isn't quite as intuitive as it would appear, making the process of creating a chart much more time-consuming than it should be. Also, the app doesn't appear to be optimized for retina display on the iPad, which isn't really a big deal, but it would look much better in HD. I've been attempting to create a cable chart with this app, and I've also discovered that the app is missing some cable symbols that would be nice to have like rpc/lpc (AKA twist) for working cable stitches with both knit and purl stitches. Overall, I think the app has huge potential, but it needs to run flawlessly before I'd call it great.

A few little issues but a great app nonetheless.. I've tried several knitting chart apps now, and so far this one meets all my criteria best of all. I can create and export knitting charts with a nice professional look, a large range of colours and symbols and automatically created legends. Notes to the developer: the app crashes for me ( iPad mini with iOS 7.0.4) when I try to add a bottom row to a chart or if I tap on the colour icon whilst the colour selection window is open. My charts save, so no loss of work. There are a few things that haven't been translated from the German, but this doesn't concern me too much. There is no clarification that I can find that states if this is for personal use only, or if the charts can be added into published patterns. I would like to be able to make charts with colour only, no symbols, however, without the symbols, the squares don't have very clear white lines between them. It would also be nice to have a slightly larger colour pallets incorporating green-blues. If these few things were to be rectified, the app would deserve 5 stars.

Good program - needs tweaking. This program is easy to use and does the job. The button to add a new bottom row doesn't work properly. The app closes when you use it instead of adding a new line. Would be nice if knitting stitches could be more than one colour. It's hard to see than if the background colour is dark.

Could be great.... This app is excellent in terms of ease of use for both charting different types of stitches and also charting colours. HOWEVER, file / pattern management is pretty much non-existent which severely limits usage. I would like to see functions such as the ability to rename a file, copy a file, and delete a file. As an added bonus, folders would help too.
