Do not download this app. This app is one of the worst apps to use. If you want to support local restaurant do so by just calling them. Yes I know that sounds old school but it would avoid a lot of headaches and errors this app has. If you try to reach out to anyone on the phone they are completely unprofessional and RUDE. They don’t help out with customer service and say we can’t do anything about that. When I explained the situation they were saying it was my fault and to go to the restaurant and pick up my food…ummm doesn’t that defeat the purpose of having it delivered to your place. When I asked to speak to someone else or a manager they said yea I can’t do that?! What business does that, that’s not customer service. I believe they need to retrain these folks on how to deal with situations that don’t end up making the customers frustrated. At the end I spent money on a service that I never received. Update they have emailed me and still continue to say they can’t do anything stay away from this app and their business practices. It’s better to deal with local pizzerias the old school method.

Horrible tracking and delivery. I have used this app about 10 times and on three occasions the delivery process has been a nightmare. This most recent experience involved the pizza arriving over two hours late and, because the tracking is terrible, I had to go down to the lobby of the hotel every 10 minutes to check on the delivery. The pizza location would have simply not delivered it at all if I didn’t call them and also communicate via the Slice customer service. Which is regrettable because after being two hours late you don’t really want a cold pizza anymore. At the end I had to go and sit outside the hotel for 20 minutes just to make sure the pizza delivery guy wouldn’t conveniently forget to deliver again. They really need to invest in a basic order tracking system in which there is a possibility of the customer delivery person and restaurant to communicate about what is going on. I am never going to use this app again, deeply not worth it despite my desire to give margin to the local business rather than Uber or DoorDash.

FRAUD. COSTUMERS SERVICE DOESN’T WORK. Don’t even think about downloading this app. I ordered from a pizzeria (Andiamo pizza) on Thursday 01/19, I ordered in this app because I thought it was the delivery app from the store, I ordered at 10:36pm and they said “your order will be delivered 10:56pm- 11:06pm”, at 11:05pm I received a message saying my order was on its way (the pizzeria is 5minutes apart from the place I was ordering from). At 11:17pm I still haven’t received my order so I started calling their costumer services. The lady at the phone was incompetent, I kept calling complaining about my order and it never arrived, every time I called the lady said “it’s on its way” “it should arrive in 6minutes” “it should arrive anytime” I asked her to please call the delivery person and she said she did (she probably didn’t). I called the pizzeria I was ordering from and they said they didn’t have an order with my name or the items I requested, I called costumers service from Slice again and I requested the phone number to contact the delivery person since my order didn’t arrive ONE HOUR after I ordered and she gave me a fake number. I told her I wanted a refund and she said “tomorrow at 4 o’clock you will be able to see the refund on your account”. At 11:38pm was my last call with the lady, my order never arrived neither my money. 01/24 I haven’t received my refund. Also 40$ for two lasagnas and a coke ????? Insane. I WANT MY REFUND. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

An ok app with a few bugs. So, this is a really hard app to rate in many ways. It’s convenient in that, especially when travelling, you throw in your address and bam, lots of local rates pizzerias... but the ratings are hit or miss, you have a lot of local fans rating awful pizza highly and vice versa NY pizza snobs crapping all over everything else. It also fundamentally removes one of the best things about local pizzerias: coupons! You get a flat % off with every order, but never benefit from coupons that might offer much larger discounts, so all in all it’s a more expensive option for very little extra convenience. Another HUGE problem is that the menus often are incomplete or lacking in descriptions that could be found on other delivery sites or the website of the pizzeria you’re order from... which often enough has online ordering rendering this entire exercise as pointless. It’s a good idea, but needs a LOT more refinement before it’s really worth it to not just order a pizza.

Not great when the restaurant runs out of one thing. I have never had an issue with using this app service until Mother’s Day (today). We ordered 3 entrees (one for each person) and since the restaurant is understandably busy, elected to pick it up. A few minutes aftee submitting our order, I get a text that my prepaid order has “been adjusted” and there was an email about it. I check the email and one of the entrees was removed and the fee adjusted. This is not acceptable that one of us won’t get to eat, so I call in the app. The representative calls the restaurant and they are out of this item. I ask if I can add something else to the order so we all can eat? Nope. Have to submit a separate order for the replacement item. Of course, since this is not connected to the first order,it bumped the ready time for the new entree well over 30 minutes past when the first order will be ready. We will try to ask the restaurant to expedite this second order. Let me just say this seems like a ridiculous way to manage changes in orders. No longer a fan. I will contact the restaurant directly for all takeout orders from now on.

A Good Way to Get Pizza. I’m currently in the New York area for school, and I’ve found a pretty good local pizza place through this app! The customer service is top-notch, too: I ordered from a different place that turned out to be not so great, and after calling the pizza place and being told to call Slice, they took care of it entirely! I’m glad their team cares so much about good pizza! My one suggestion—and I’m not sure if this is on Slice’s side or the restaurants’—is that sometimes the menus are incomplete, or not detailed enough. That pizza place I found? They have DEEP DISH PIZZA! I didn’t know that until I went there in person! It wasn’t listed on the app—maybe it’s a special of some kind? But it would be cool if there was a way to show that on the app. It might just be that the pizzeria itself didn’t list it, which is totally not Slice’s fault, so I didn’t subtract any stars. Overall, I’m happy to use this app!

Horrendous customer service. Ordered delivery from the app. Was tracking my order while it was being made. It said “your order has been picked up” and then about 5 minutes later it was marked as “delivered”. I did not receive my order. I called the restaurant and they told me they did make my order and someone picked it up from DoorDash. I contacted “slice” and they told me they’d get back to me within 24 hours or something. Meanwhile I had to place another order this time directly to the store to pickup. They emailed us the next day and informed us that because the order was marked “delivered” and they have no contact info for the driver that they are unable to refund us the 50 dollars. I’m the email it said to contact customer support or respond to the email if we are unsatisfied with this. We called customer support and they said there’s nothing they can do because it was escalated to the department that emailed us. So we responded to the email and received no response for 4 days. We called the number again and they hung up on us. Horrible horrible app and service. We have since had to do a charge dispute with our credit card company. DO NOT USE THIS APP!!

Across The Street. from Abbey Road, I came outside on a cold day to smell wonderful pizza. I’ve ordered from 204 before, and it was really, really good. Today’s a prettier day; so, why not order from them again? Whoops - I just did. 204 Pizza RAWKS An addendum to my previous rating: We’re down to three stars from five. “Why did you do this,” you may ask me. It’s simple: I ordered through Slice to get pizza from 204 Surf Pizza at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. We stay here currently. Our last order had an estimated time of arrival between 6:55 to 7:10 pm. I even went into your chat feature, and Tony Q was nothing more than “we’re sorry, but sometimes this happens.” Interesting. Today, the app needed an update. Once again, this is interesting indeed. Just to let you know, we ordered from 204 Surf Pizza directly from their own website. It took a fraction of the time compared to using Slice, and even the restaurant owners said that they used the Slice platform to get more customer traffic for this time of year. Hmm. And what do I have for multiple orders? One lousy Pizza Point. And here’s the worst part: I can order directly from the restaurant’s website, and get faster delivery (read - service). Out you go, Slice. Sorry.

Needs better integration with stores. We contact customer service when our order had been on its way for an hour, and it was 40 minutes past the latest delivery time. Our first call said they delivered it to our door (untrue). Then after talking to the store said they would have it to us shortly. When they showed up it was the old cold delivery. The delivery driver was very rude and said we input our address incorrectly as his ticket had our street address mixed up. When we called back we confirmed slice had the right address and made our intention to cancel the order. At first they were only going to refund us the cost of the pizza (minus our side of garlic bread and fees). Eventually they cancelled the whole order but it was not an easy process. I will not be using this app anymore. Improve your ability to advocate for your customer, improve order tracking so we could see if our driver was close and mark when an order was “delivered” so we can more quickly reach out to get it rectified. To clarify our issue was also with Slice customer service. It took too much effort to get this fixed as it took us going back multiple times to get a full refund since the whole order was screwed up not lost one item.

Terrible service :(. I’m not usually one to write a bad review but my experience last night was awful. I ordered from my local restaurant (who was not at fault for any of this) and was supposed to get the food by 6:30-6:45pm. 7pm rolled around and I still hadn’t heard anything or gotten my order. I called the restaurant to see if the driver had picked up the food yet or if they got lost and they told me they hadn’t picked up the order. I would’ve went and got the food myself at this point but I already paid for the delivery so I called Slice and the representative was extremely unhelpful and rude. After explaining the situation he said all he could do is offer me a $5 discount on my next order (which I will never use because I won’t use slice again lol) He said the driver was on the way to get my order and would drop off no later than 7:30. I was extremely annoyed that I couldn’t get my food until over an hour later than I was supposed to. The driver dropped off at 7:45 and my food was cold and the mozzarella sticks were hard. Obviously this was not the restaurant’s fault but I strongly suggest not using Slice.

Always Messed Up. I never write bad reviews but this app has me heated. I’ve wasted so much money to get wrong orders, cold food, etc. I’m HEATED. Whether it’s your order being completely wrong or completely late (like an hour and a half late when you’re three miles away from where your food is coming from) this app seems to continually mess up your order somehow. So frustrating to spend a fairly good amount on food and 75% of the time it’s not the right food you’ve overspent your money on and waited a lifetime to get. I’ve tried using customer service and it was absolutely terrible. Basically it doesn’t matter what they did wrong or how the app lacked or the delivery or restaurant lacked, they can’t help you. Only offer you a “sorry”. At a certain point you can order a free pizza but the options they give you DO NOT TELL YOU THE TOPPINGS OF THE PIZZA, so here I am thinking I’m creating my own pizza because there’s no description or option to take anything off of the pizza so you’re led to believe you’re just creating you’re own pizza. It gets delivered to me with meat all over it we can’t eat for religious reasons. Daphne T on customer service SUUUCKS dude. Simply saying “there’s a description of what’s on the pizza”. But when you’re ordering your reward pizza NO THERE WASNT! I’ve been vegetarian for years I’m smarter than to “accidentally” order a pizza with meat on it are you serious? All in all don’t waste your money or time please

Suggest improvements. For the most part this app works well and we typically use it often without issue. However, I don’t understand why the app will recommend a place that isn’t the closest location to you. For example, we have at least 3 Golden pizzas around us, over the years I’ve accidentally not checked the location (due to chaos and splitting headache) and ordered pizza from a location miles away from our house. Why not if you’re already using our location automatically show us the closest locations first or even offer a pop up saying “we noticed there is a closer location to you would you like to continue?” Maybe push the farther located places to the bottom of your suggestions. I prefer pick up because the location we typically use is not even a 1/2 mile away so to have this inconvenience when your head feels split open or your house is full of hungry people is extremely frustrating. Otherwise yes, this app works well.

DO NOT USE SLICE!. I am the owner of a small pizza restaurant in Austin Texas, I have used slice for about 3 months and have had numerous issues with them and I regret ever partnering with them. On a regular basis the delivery drivers would show up 20-30 minutes late to pick up customers orders. On 2 occasions they didn't show up at all and I had to close my restaurant do deliver the orders myself. Mind you I'm the only employee of my business so having to-do this made me miss even more orders. When I would voice my issue with slice they would avoid responsibility by saying that they contract drivers and they arent responsible for them. When it came to running promotions they had a very hard time following instructions. My promotions would overlap and customers were able to stack promotions because slice didn't remove the promotion from their app. When I had enough and tried to cancel my partnership their representative would not let me cancel and kept cutting me off during the entire call. My account was supposed to be canceled but when I checked today it said I was open and accepting orders thru slice. I am filing a grievance with the Better Business Bureau and I really hope this review helps future partners and customers in their decision not to support slice and their beyond poor way of conducting business.

Customer service-Policy change. So it all started in May 2022. After you order 8 times you get to redeem a pizza. A large pizza at that. I thought to myself, it seems weird that they only offer that instead of credits. So I asked a representative to receive credits instead of a large pizza. I was then given $15 credit, which was awesome. Keep in mind, this is no where on their site. The employee then said when I order 8 times again in the future, I’ll be able to do this method again. Why have the one option to order a large cheese pizza only? Once you add toppings it’s no longer free. Who doesn’t add toppings!? $15 credit makes more sense. So today, I chatted online and then called someone. Guess what…due to a policy change they no longer offer it. Where on the website does it state that? Way to ruin a good thing. I’ll still use the app, but now that “redeem a free large pizza” will just sit in my account for no reason. It’s pointless. For the developer, please do NOT bother commenting on this if you’re not going to change the feature to accommodate other users. I know for a fact that people would rather redeem credits compared to a pizza. These restaurants on SLICE offer more than just pizza you know. Seems like the two different people I spoke to (sounded new) had no idea about the change. They couldn’t even tell me when it went into effect. Tragic.

Impressions from an Over-The-Top Tipper. I like to think I’m fairly savvy, when it comes to the apps I use. They’re all in it for money, you’ve gotta make ends meet and that’s just how life is for now. This app, however? Even if it isn’t 100% sincere, I MUST say I am enjoying being pandered to by it. I love local businesses, I hate big companies, and I want my money to go to people who need it more by far. This app feels targeted at me and people like me who get their kicks NOT from quirky social media presences, but from helping local pizzerias that need it more than Pizza Hut (which this app has empowered me to QUIT FOR GOOD). Each time I get a notification from Slice imploring me to support my local pizzerias, even if I don’t have the cash to do it right then, it warms my heart. My favorite notification I’ve ever gotten was one in which Slice challenged me to be an “Over-The-Top Tipper,” which... if I wasn’t in love with the app and the people who work on it already, ol’ cupid would have had a FIELD DAY with that notification. 😂 Since getting this app, I’ve been recommending it to any of my coworkers who like pizza, and I’d recommend it to whoever’s reading this while on the fence about using it! It really does work, those pizzerias you love are now so much more accessible, and it’s thanks to Slice!

BECAREFUL WHO YOU ORDER FROM. After 9 hours of going back and fourth with Slice and La Pizza in Victorville Ca I finally got a refund for my messed up order. SLICE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for refunds so please keep it in mind before you order!! Let me tell you guys: me and a friend order from this place who seems to be newly owned because I never got disrespected the way I did before! Anyways we got a smashed pizza, cold bread sticks and wings and a missing soda! To top it off the delivery lady called us over and over for directions because she didn’t know how to use her GPS. How you work for a delivery place and can’t deliver? Anyways this lady forgot our soda and offered to go to AMPM to get us a soda LOL then straight lied to the owner and to Slice saying I lied about this whole situation and that I “forsure got my soda” when I called the place I was answered by RUDE not so smart employees. After going back and fourth I guess slice got tired and decided to give me my refund AFTER I decided to take it to social media. Glad to know you never get your way unless you bring social media into it. Anyways thanks to this experience I will never order with Slice again for working with places like this. Just a warning! You will not get a refund until 3AM when you’re trying to sleep (if you even get one)

Zero responsibility, useless customer service. I’ve been ordering through Slice Life for the last months. It’s been great all the time except the last one. The restaurant where I ordered delivered one pizza with all the toppings completely scattered on the top of the box and in a tiny corner of the pizza, as if it had fallen to the ground. Pizza was cold, saggy, and even had the wrong ingredients. We called back and forth to the restaurant and Slice Life and no one wanted to solve our problem. Slice phone service was totally useless and basically told us that they don’t refund even in cases like this and that we had to deal directly with the restaurant. So zero customer service. The restaurant told us to call Slice to find a solution, which was just a waste of time. Long story short: the restaurant delivered another pizza two hours later (which was actually burnt) and Slice didn’t refund our money for all the inconvenience and didn’t even apologize. Take home message: if everything goes well, no problem. If there is a problem Slice happily keeps your money and doesn’t solve anything. After 20+ orders with them is time to move on and use other alternatives like Grubhub, DoorDash, or Uber Eats.

Horrible. They partnered with a pizzeria that didn’t answer their order confirmation. They canceled the order due to not hearing back from them. They only let me know that there was an issue with the order via email. Who checks their email at 5:30 on a Sunday?! There’s no in app alert system when there’s an issue, no text alert feature when there’s a problem, just check your email and hope you see the one telling you the food that was planned on and expected isn’t coming, then scramble to make changes because your evening, several hungry kids and the future of your career is dependent on it. When I tried to contact support through the app that feature seemed conveniently “frozen”. When I called to voice my frustration I got the “were really sorry that’s how we do things” message. No attempt made to maintain me as a customer, just a sorry not sorry. If a customer who has been using the app as often as I have actually physically calls to express their displeasure and you make no effort to keep me you clearly don’t care. That’s fine, my local spots all use door dash and grub hub, or I can call them direct, good luck with that business plan

Awesome for ordering pizza for both pickup and delivery. I must say that I love the Slice app and the concept of giving more of the revenue to the pizza shops especially local shops and we have always had good ordering accuracy and never had an issue with the over 10 different pizza shops we’ve tried from the Slice app in different states up and down the East Coast of the US. Some cash only shops will actually except Slice orders but not take a credit card which adds an extra layer of convenience and accessibility for folks looking to operate cashless but also spend their money with local establishments. The fees are almost nothing compared to DoorDash and or Uber eats GrubHub etc. those apps are ridiculous my only complaint with Slice the app itself is that the rewards are really messed up right now and have become very hard to earn which is OK as I don’t use the app with intent to earn the pizza rewards for a cheese pizza as it isn’t my usual order anyway but it was fun to earn prior to the chAnges. annoying to have my five or six points wiped out because my local shops no longer participate but again it’s just the rewards that are messed up and I love the Slice app and could not recommend it enough if you’re looking to order pizza thank you

This app service is trash. We have used this app for delivery twice with 2 completely different pizza stores and BOTH times our order was not delivered after waiting an hour and a half with no notifications there were any issues. The first order we called the restaurant after an hour and a half and they said they never received the order. The second time we ordered from a different place and called the restaurant to ensure they received the order. After an hour and 15 min. We called the restaurant again who said door dash (dispatched by this company) had picked it up. After waiting almost 2 hours we called Slice who called the driver and all they said was the drivers car broke down (but didn’t notify them) and our order wasn’t going to be delivered. (So basically the driver got a free food order while we sat here with nothing and starving. Both times Slice did give us a refund but also left us HANGRY by the time we had to do all of this work to locate an order we were never going to receive. They gave no indication they were going to do anything about either issue. This company is complete JUNK.

This app has issues. The app seems to be pretty good looking and is pretty easy to navigate. But they have some locations wrong on their in app map so a restaurant that is 2 miles away is showing up on their app as being 6+ miles away even though they have the correct address. This causes the user to have to do a search for the restaurant. Of course if you didn’t know the restaurant was where it really is you wouldn’t know it was closer to your location than the app says it is. I contacted them about the issue and didn’t seem to actually read or understand what I clearly stated in my messages to them. I went so far as attaching pictures of the maps of where the restaurant is and where their app showed the restaurant to be. If that’s what they call customer service I would not want to have a more pressing issue with them. I downloaded the app and was using it because T-Mobile had a T-Mobile Tuesday’s deal. Honestly it’s not worth using the app without a discount since I can call the restaurant directly and pick up my food and not have to pay a dollar fee for using the app. Especially when they can’t do something as simple as placing a restaurant in the right location on a map. I let the restaurant know about the issue maybe they will have more success getting them to fix the issue. I’ll go back to ordering the old fashioned way.

The Reward Program is Flawed. Response to Developer’s Comment: Again, your response only shows your unwillingness to fix your rewards program. The solution given of placing a lower subtotal of $30 so that I do not earn another reward until the other one is used is ridiculous response. The redemption only applies to select pizzerias that you ordered from in the past worth up to $25. You need to order at least $30 worth of food to qualify for 1 point. You need to earn 8 points in order to redeem for a free pizza which means you need to spend $240 to earn a free pizza…what a bargain…Lol! Slice does not allow you to earn another point while already having 8 points to redeem for a “free pizza.” That means if do not use your free pizza redemption on your very next order you lose earning another point until the redemption is made on a subsequent order. It makes no sense to not count other rewards earned while still awaiting redemption for one you earned. The purpose of the app is to generate business for local pizzerias and for the user to earn rewards while ordering from a pizzeria that you would likely order from anyway. If you unable to continue to earn rewards through Slice then what separates the app from someone just ordering pizza over the phone or off the pizzeria’s own app? Also, their customer service is very scripted and is not willing to address the issue identified with their rewards program.

Customer service seemed great but were not. I ordered through slice and did not get my food. I called the restaurant and the women was awful and rude. I figured out they went to the wrong address and she said it was still my fault for not answering my phone. I called Slice for a refund and the girl I spoke to was kind and apologetic. She said she’d be refunding me right away. Soon after I got an email from slice saying the were “looking into my refund” and thank you for my patience. An hour later I get a email saying that Slice is refunding me $29, I spent $74. They wanted to charge me $45 for food I didn’t receive after telling me I’d be refunded. I called back and the man told me he had to call the restaurant again. Once he did he said they were “refunding” me half because the restaurant attempted to deliver. How can you consider it an attempted delivery when they were never at the correct address when they absolutely had the right one? He said they would “make an exception this one time but would not do this again” and cancel the order for me. Thinking about it now I wish I had spoken to a manager. I will be deleting this app. I was lied to and then treated like I was doing something wrong for trying to get my money back for food I didn’t get by Slices customer service. I’ve never ever write bad reviews but this is how upset this experience made me. Be careful with your money on this app.

Horrible customer service!!. Long story short me & my partner placed an order on the app, We made an error on it and “immediately”called customer service seconds after the purchase to notify them, they said that we could not change the pizza we wanted cause it was already in the oven(how & 30 seconds is beyond me🤷🏾‍♂️) all we wanted was to replace one item with another that’s all but they told us we had to take this item I never heard that from the food industry & it sounded very rude? Like they were forcing us to take something we didn’t want also we paid for it so why can’t we change it? Makes no sense and again beyond me-moving on still trying to work this out we called the restaurant which was 7-10mins later we were getting the pizza from this restaurant called La Rustica pizza On 1426 Lexington ave they literally told me the same story, me trying to explain that we wanted one pizza that is different than what we order was just to difficult so we decided to cancel, They had the nerve to say that now the pizza is out for delivery!?….BEYOND ME)….so not only did we not fix anything they decided on there own to send us food WE DID NOT WANT very aggressive & wired? If your reading this please think twice before using this app and the customer service didn’t even try to resolve our problem as being the customer again very very wired and I actually quote the lady we spoke to on slice app she said “ my hands are tired I don’t know what I can do for you” 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️.

La Scilla Garfield Nj. I am a regular customer at this restaurant I’ve been in there many times with my girlfriends having dinner. In addition to that I’ve ordered food when I’ve had clients come to my office for lunch as well. However tonight I went on the menu and ordered off the menu fillet livonese with Penne and vodka as a side dish or artichokes and grandma’s pizza. When the delivery came I opened a dish to find out that the fillet with the Livona a sauce had clams and mussels being allergic to clams and mussels I called the restaurant immediately they told me it was the fault of the delivery company for listing the menu wrong and that I had to call them to have them come and pick it up change it or refund it. There’s no such number online and I’m very annoyed that it cost me $25 for something that I could not eat and did not order and the restaurant that I’ve been a member going to for a long time would not help me. And nor did they have a phone number they told me to go online and find it there which of course is never possible. I will never do business with this delivery service nor with the restaurant ever again that was poor business

Mystery Gazebo. This company has the WORST service. It’s built on a wall of incompetent button pushers, who have no clue how to track a pizza or there drivers. DUCATIES MYRTLE BEACH, SC uses them. We live only a few blocks from Ducatis in Living Dunes and have been regulars with their pizza. However, last night we ordered two pies and a salad. We never received our order. They use a company called SLICE which makes Ducatis look horrible. My pizza, after being told for over an hour it was on the way, was left at some gazebo in Myrtle Beach. That’s right, some gazebo in Myrtle Beach. There’s NO GAZEBO in my neighborhood. And customer service told me twenty lies or more. Then argued with me that it was on my doorstep. Till they sent a picture from the driver. “The gazebo drop!” is not my front door, is not in my neighborhood and no one has a clue where that is. By the time they come clean and said the driver dumped it, (after taking my money and tilp) Dutactis was closed. I tried to call but they would pickup and hang up the phone. No worries. We ate grilled cheese sandwiches. I’m out over $60 bucks with no pizza, no apologies, and no returned calls. Great pizza, terrible delivery system and no apologies. There’s too many pizza joints in Myrtle Beach to stay committed to this kind of slack. Whenever owns Ducatis needs to DUMP their contract with SLICE at that mystery gazebo where my pizza is. Sorry systems = sorry business.

Worst ordering experience of my life. I downloaded this app after watching a Dave Portnoy pizza review and could not be more disappointed. When you get a pizza recommendation from Dave, it’s usually a good one, so I hope it is just because they don’t have a large presence in my area, but it was terrible. Ordered 2 slices of pizza, and was told it would take 1.5 hours. Already off to a bad start but it’s tough times so I figured that you have to give them a break. Hour 2 roles around and no pizza. Reach out to support and they just say sorry here is a $5 credit for your next order, no update no status no nothing, then just says he’s closing out the ticket. So I reach out to support again and they say, “oh sorry your pizza will be there in 5 min or less”, then closes out the ticket. Hour 3 roles along and still no pizza. Reach out to support again and they say oh I’m sorry the kitchen never prepared it etc and to wait 20 more min. Then got a call from the pizza place saying that my address was wrong. So all in all here I am 3hours later with no pizza. Dave - as the pizza king, I would not recommend you associate your brand with this mess

It’s just a door dash re router. The slice app seems like a good idea if you eat pizza a lot and need an app to parse out all the pizza options in your area, but actually getting your pizza delivered to your door is a gamble. I used the app twice, first time went fine, second time they sent the driver to the wrong address and when I tried to get a refund they made the driver deliver it anyway to avoid it. By the time I got the pizza it was room temp and soggy, 45 minutes from the time it was supposed to be delivered. I contacted Slice about it and they said it was the pizza places fault and they couldn’t get ahold of them. I had assumed that Slice was a stand along service but it seems they are simply a middle man between pizza shops and door dash. I really don’t know why this app exists when you can just use door dash, Uber eats, or any other delivery service. Or just do what I will do from now on and just call the shop directly see if they deliver or just pick it up myself if they don’t. Door Dash is awful the drivers don’t care and there’s nothing you can do if something goes wrong. If you want pizza delivered, go with a place that has their own drivers as they have a vested interest in getting you the food on time and in good condition. I will likely never use the app again, the only thing it is good for is seeing your local pizza options, which Yelp already does.

DO NOT USE. Downloaded this app to support local small businesses. Come to find out they use DoorDash to deliver your food but it doesn’t get here in the speed that DoorDash delivers. Placed my very first at order at 7:15 and it was supposed to arrive at 7:45. No pizza at 8:00 so I called the restaurant as directed by the app. The restaurant owner informs me the Slice never sent a DoorDash driver to pick up my order and my pizza has been sitting for 30 minutes getting cold. I call Slice customer service and they just transfer me to DoorDash. After 15 minutes on hold DoorDash tells me a driver picked up my order at 8pm. Coincidence? I think not. DoorDash then tells me my order won’t arrive until after 9pm. I request a full refund and they can’t do that bc I paid the restaurant directly. I don’t want the restaurant to have to pay for Slice and DoorDash’s horrible service. They did everything right. Slice then calls me back after I hang up on DoorDash in pure fury. They offer me a $7 Slice credit that’s only good for 30 days. What a joke. That is not a proper response. And the credit is useless as I’ll never use this app again. They finally offered me a refund and I said I wanted it to come from them not the restaurant so I hope the restaurant doesn’t get screwed for Slice’s major screw up. I’ll also be calling the restaurant to apologize if they have to eat the money and recommend that they end their partnership with Slice. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Support your local pizza shop. I love ordering pizza from Brother’s Roast Beef, Pizza and More in Peabody. They always make the best pies with fresh ingredients and generous toppings. But sometimes I don’t feel like calling or driving to pick up my order. That’s why I use the Slice app to order online. It’s so easy and convenient. I can browse the menu, customize my pizza, and pay securely with a few taps. The app also lets me track my order in real time, so I know exactly when my pizza will arrive. And the best part is that I’m supporting my local pizzeria by ordering through Slice, which doesn’t charge crazy fees for me or the shop. Plus, I earn free pizza for being a loyal customer with the Pizza Points program. The app also helps me discover new deals, flavors, and toppings that I might not have tried otherwise. Slice is the best way to order pizza from your favorite local pizzeria. Try it today and see for yourself! 😍

No background noise= No confusion. I was hesitant about using this app over someone’s job but because I wasn’t put on hold I went ahead, used it and than realized how this app will create more jobs as the business becomes consistently accurate the bigger the customer base will get. Have you ever tried to order over the phone and the person wasn’t exactly sure what you said (over all the kitchen noise) but took a guess and you got the wrong food or made the wrong way. That won’t happen here (unless dial-up comes back). I click what I want, put into print exactly what I want and that-my friend-makes for a meal that I craved and not someone else..My delivery guy just handed me my food and said thank you and kept on moving. no fumbling trying to sign receipts or exchanging cash. I think Most people unhappy with the Slice App was really unhappy with customer service at the place they ordered. Slice is just the messenger.. Going for the slice Hoping to go for 2nd’s Ray Miller

Lack of Responsibility. I used this app for this first time last week and had a horrible experience. The pizzeria was over 35 mins late pass the estimated time. The food arrived cold, soggy (fries) and hard (cheese sticks). The man that delivered the food then questioned if he got tipped and how much since I used this app to pay. They also failed to deliver my drink. I contacted the people at Slice about my experience and requested a refund for the service. Slice informed me that I wouldn't be refunded and offered a bogus $2 off promo. Per the Slice, "For some additional context, while the cooking and delivery of the food is handled completely by the restaurant, at the end of the day the funds are always under control of the pizzeria. We are only permitted to charge or refund a card when given authorization from the pizzeria. We work for them and for you, the consumer at the end of the day. At this point, our hands are tied, since Baba Jaan Pizza never authorized anything on their end." Beware of going through this app when ordering food because they will not back you up or protect you from unprofessional businesses like other food ordering app such as UberEats. I will be deleting the app today!

Don’t use location feature on app and horrible customer service. This was my first time using the app, and I allowed it to use my location to order. Since it showed all the pizza places around me, seemed all was well. Turns out the location feature is inaccurate and pinged me about half a mile from my location. Note that I have never had an issue with the location feature on any other app (Waze, Google Maps, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc). They also don’t have a check in place to have you confirm your address before you place your order. In hindsight, I should have checked the address, but again, never had this issue before. As soon as I realized the error, I called Slice and gave them my address. But it was too late...my food had already been delivered to the wrong address. To make matters worse the person at that address (whom I do not know) accepted the food and then committed fraud by signing their name to my credit card slip. I called Slice to tell them what happened, and their response was pretty much, “Oh well.” I explained that I didn’t enter the wrong address; their app location feature is faulty. I explained someone had taken my food and signed their name to my credit card slip. I told them this was the first time I had used the app and asked if this was really the experience they wanted me to have. Again, a big, “Oh well.” No apology. No attempt to make anything right. Nothing. App is deleted from phone, and I suggest you don’t even download it.

Deserves 0 stars. I have ordered using the app several times. Today I check my email and it says I’ve ordered pizza in Staten Island, mind you, I live in Florida. I immediately reach out to customer support Via the chat option, since there is no option to call in the app. I indicate to the person that somebody has hacked my account and is using my card and account to order pizza the person responds to me and then ends the chat. I start another chat with the same person named Martin and I asked about my hacked account and the rep Martin asks about my credit card and then ends the chat again. I start another chat and ask why they keep ending my chats and they immediately end it. I go into my account and change the address back to my address and my phone number since the hacker changed it. I reset my password and the person is still able to alter my info in my own account which makes me believe it’s someone at Slice who is assisting in the hacking. But what do I know. I froze my credit card and everything. I chat with a new person who is not Martin finally and she is EXTREMELY rude to me. How can a business with such awful employees succeed. Avoid this app unless want your account hacked and awful customer service.

Exceptional idea, exceptional service. I recently took a trip to New York City and wanted to try a lot of pizza while I was there. This app was amazing in that regard. Every single place that would deliver to me was grouped up in one place, the menus easily accessible unlike their individual websites, and I could even see reviews for each restaurant. One night, I had a major problem with a restaurant I had ordered from - absolutely no fault of Slice. On the contrary, when I reached out to Slice’s support via built-in messaging, both agents I talked to (yeah...it was a big problem that spanned a good length of time. Still no fault of Slice) were incredibly kind and understanding, and reached out to the restaurant on my behalf to get things sorted out. Now I’m back home in another state, and I’m delighted to see there are 2 places nearby me that I have never even heard of that I can now try thanks to Slice. Also, the delivery fees are exceptionally low. Download the app - you have nothing to lose, and a ton of great pizza to gain.

Great app needs two updates. We love the app and works very well. When I first set up the account, I had a typo on my email address and never noticed it but I still receive updates on my cell phone. I had a ton of order history and I also have free pizzas when I made a certain quota of orders. I realized that I had a typo on my email address, but it would not let me update it so I had to create a new account with the correct email. I just had a chat with Support asking if they can transfer the order history to my correct email account and I was told I cannot they gave me the old email address which had the typo and said I had to use that. There should be a way to update an email address. What does a customer to if they happen to change an email and have order history? The way the app and set up, you lose the order history. You should release an update where you can update an email. A second update is to be able to send an email to Support or call chat you should have a third option to send an email and possibly with attachments of screenshots.

Want delivery only choice is pickup. I was trying to order. I picked what I wanted then tried to make it for delivery not an option. So I decided I would go and pick it up no an option. No reason given. Wrote to Cust support. To them the problem and support to me there not delivering. I called the local pizza place and asked if the are delivering? Yes we are so I placed my order by phone. Your own Cust support had no idea what was going on. There should be some sort of reason given. I thought the app was malfunctioning. Which it might have been because I was able to call and get my order delivered. Either way using the app was a complete waste of my time. This happened twice by the way. On 2 different occasions. I use to like the app but not not sure if I will use it again. I just don't want to waste my time again. Sincerely totally frustrated.

Disappointing. I downloaded your app because of Jet’s Pizza’s recommendation. My order took longer than expected, as we’re only a mile from the store. Your customer support person Ian was nice enough to call the restaurant to see what the delay was. The three stars are for him. Unfortunately, after the order was dropped off, we discovered that they gave me two small pizzas instead of the pizza and breadsticks special I ordered. Plus the pizza was barely warm, so it had obviously been sitting awhile. I feel like a stooge for leaving a tip before I actually received the order. Somewhere between your app and their store, someone messed up my order. Which is simply shouldn’t have happened. Since the breadsticks were my favorite part, I was seriously disappointed. Tried calling the store, but for some reason, they weren’t answering their phone. By the time they could’ve gotten the breadsticks to me, it would have been over two hours after I first placed the order. I splurged on getting food delivered because I’d had a crappy day. I guess I learned my lesson and will be going back to Grubhub to place my orders.

Customer Service Blows. The only reason I gave it two stars is because i used the app for a few months without issue . However , when I placed an order , received confirmation on my credit card , and waited 2 hours for my 8PM scheduled delivery , which was to arrive at our house when we both got home from work . It never showed, my cart was empty , and I didn’t receive and email or notification. When i explained this to customer service , while seeing if maybe it just wasn’t showing up but the food was still en route , I was disagreed with and assured that this could never happen. I’m not 75, I’m 24, I’m pretty sure I know how to use the app. Next time, when a processing errors occurs on your end , accept it as a possibility instead of telling the customer that it’s impossible. Never again. The pizzeria I really like only delivers on GrubHub anyway.

Prompt customer service. I recently started to use slice instead of the other place since my favorite pizza shop had a coupon on my order more than once. So I thought I’d try it. No issues with the app and received prompt customer service. I have used the customer service chat more than once with zero issues; receiving prompt and courtesy responses and immediate resolution. An example is when I accidentally order ranch instead of french dressing an Ethan from the chat resolved it immediately. The next time my order was missing meatballs, honest mistake by my favorite restaurant and using the chat he immediately resolved it, received a refund with an explanation that the restaurant misread the order. Believe me it’s my favorite place I order weekly, I know it was a mistake and not the normal. It happens. Overall, I received prompt customer service with quick resolution. And that is more than I can say about grub, grub never responds to chat and rarely do I ever get a live person on the phone. If I send an email it takes 2-3 days for them to respond. Slice had my address information correctly because I took the ownership and manually entered my address and made sure it was correct. I only recommend with competitor sites popping up all over now they add incentives to keep customers using the app. Special dollar menus featuring restaurants, loyalty rewards, promo codes not just refer a friend. Thank you for reading the review and I hope you find it helpful.

Sad rewards but otherwise decent app. I’ve been a user of this app across several cities over the past 3+ years and appreciate how it helps small pizza shops market and deliver their products. There is a definite convenience factor for shops that can’t afford it extravagant marketing or delivery budgets so for that I give this a modest 3 stars. Recently the qualifying order minimum toward earning a free (~$15) large pizza went from $15 per order to $30 per order. Keeping in mind that you need eight pizza points for a free pizza.. instead of spending 8x$15=$120 to get a free $15 pizza you now how to spend 8x$30=$240 to get a free $15 pizza. The rewards program went from pretty good to complete garbage. I will still order from my local shop and I may stop using the Slice app because of this, the convenience factor would be the only reason I continue to do so but I will always try to call in first going forward.

Beware of the lack of responsibility. This is the worst app anyone can use as a 3rd party to get food delivery! I had to use this app to get pizza delivered and became my worst nightmare. DON'T download this app unless ur life depends on it and then still dont!! 1st they dont try to fix their wrong doing and could care less about the financial hardship they put you in. I was made to download the app cause of Hungary Howies delivery of online orders well slice choosed a restaurant location that was not a restaurant that delivers to my house, Sliced charged my debit card 2xs they cancelled one order then keep the other order making sure my bank account only has $5.00 in it. I have been waiting and trying to get them to credit mx account back but of course theres still not a credit on my account. Creating a major problem for me and stuck having no money or dinner for my son to eat; bring he's special needs and all he wanted was pizza and because of the stealing this money from me I was stuck to deal with a child with a temper tantrum and wanting pizza that I was unable to get cause Slice didn't do a immediate refund of my money. I would of thought that this company would of been more compassionate to the situation cause it was their fault and would of tried to get the correct restaurant location and get the pizza I ordered and paid for delivered to us; but instead they did nothing to resolve the problem. So don't use this app unless you want to be ripped off by them.

Pickup or Delivery. One thing that needs to be more clear on this app is pickup or delivery. It’s very easy to not notice which is selected and frustrating when you want your pizza delivered and it ends up being a pick-up. I had my settings defaulted for a delivery and one day I decided to switch from the usual restaurant I ordered from. There was no obvious indication that the new place did not deliver to me so I was very frustrated to find out I had to run out to get it. The next time I ordered I decided to order from my usual place which always delivers to me. Again no obvious indication that the pizza was for pickup because I always have it set for delivery. I never ended up getting my pizza after waiting hours. I believe one of the most important things about ordering a pizza is how you will be getting that pizza and to have the pickup/delivery buttons such a small part of the ordering process is a reason this app is flawed. Dominoes, Pizza Hut, and papa Johns all have lousy pizza to me which is why I choose local places off of slice, but one thing all those lousy pizza places have in common is their online ordering process is very smooth and clear in what you are getting. No confusion. No mistakes. Make sure to check that tiny pick-up/delivery button on the slice app or you can become frustrated very easily. Especially when drinking/socializing with a group of friends and expecting the pizzas to arrive at your doorstep.

Just Terrible. I recommend saving yourself the trouble and just going directly through the restaurant. First, the app doesn’t show you where the delivery person is or if the order has even been delivered and if you contact them for an update they’re just going to call the restaurant to find out so you’re just paying extra fees for something you can do yourself. Second, I placed an order for delivery and it went through the whole “received order” “preparing order” “order is out for delivery” steps only to find out later that the restaurant wasn’t even open. And every time I contacted the customer support to get an update they kept telling me to just wait 10-15 more minutes for the order to arrive. They told me that 3 times and I was patient enough enough to do it. Then when I was finally tired of waiting they wouldn’t cancel the order because they couldn’t get in touch with the restaurant which was closed. They seem to have no power or be super resistant to giving people refunds. I will never use this app again.

Terrible customer support. I ordered from a local pizza place through slice last night. Unlike Uber eats and grub hub this app does not allow you to track the location of your driver. I received a notification that my order was delivered but I checked my front porch and nothing was there. I contacted customer support and after some back and forth they told me the order had been delivered and the driver had sent them a picture confirming delivery. The picture showed the driver holding my food in his/her hand about 15 ft from my door and never got close enough to trigger my ring camera. I live in a very quiet suburban neighborhood where packages/food are never taken so can only assume the driver took the picture and carried the order back to their car. After several conversations with customer service reps I was told a supervisor would contact me. The follow up consisted of them emailing me telling me that they would not issue a refund. I called the restaurant and the owner said he’s had lots of issue with slice but thankfully recooked my order free of charge. Will never use this app again. Other delivery apps are much easier to deal with. Very disappointing.

Horrible. I gave this app several chances. First time I ordered they kept putting my address wrong. I kept updating it and it still didn’t update it to the restaurant I ordered from. Second time (which was last night) I had several problems with my order from a restaurant. I tried to reach out to the restaurant, they kept telling me to call back at different times. I reached out to “Support” on the app to see how my problems can get resolved , if not I would like a refund(because I paid through the app). They told me they called the restaurant and they said the same thing (no manager is around, to call back tomorrow). So I call today, same thing. I contact support again, they’re still telling me they haven’t gotten in contact with a manager yet . The problem with support is they’re telling me to refund my order or to give me fresh food (the same order) they have to have authorization from the owner. My money was taken immediately but when I have a problem it’s hard to get resolved. My advice is ALWAYS PAY IN CASH !!! Do not pay through this app. When you pay in cash you get a chance to check your food before you pay the driver. If you pay THROUGH THE APP, nobody cares if you have a problem after!!

So I wanted pizza. I opened the Slice app, placed the order I wanted, but didn’t see a place for “tip”. After doing everything I could to find where to put it, I gave up and ordered thinking maybe that was the “delivery fee” 🤷‍♂️. I left instructions to leave the food in the garage. An hour later or so someone is knocking on the front door. It’s the delivery guy telling me he left it in the garage as I had asked. Ummm, then why are you at my broken front door? Didn’t ask, but MAYBE there was a reason why I didn’t want to use that door. “I tried calling the number but no one answered.” Ok, thanks. “Umm, just so you know, the Slice app doesn’t allow for tips” he says. Omg, idek if I have cash! 😮. So I start looking for cash. Thank God I found some. Either way, it was sooo embarrassing and unprofessional I can’t even begin to tell you. I just wanted some pizza, sorry I didn’t know that required a credit card number AND cash! Thank God that Grubhub, Uber Eats, and Door Dash all accept tips through the app because I almost NEVER have cash on me. So if you’re in the mood for pizza, make sure you have cash on you or else you’ll have an angry delivery guy banging on your door. Nope. I have too many choices to feel like crap because I was hungry.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE !. DO NOT USE THIS APP, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS APP. This was my first time using this app and the experience was HORRIBLE. For starters, you set your location of your delivery and they give you all of these options to pick from. I then received a call AFTER THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND ORDER WAS PLACED, that the location doesn’t deliver and I had to wait 24-48 business hours for my refund. After letting them know this was NOT an option, she offered me a $10 credit the standard pizza amount for a pie is $12-$18. I ordered a special pie. I explained this wasn’t going to work either. A supervisor then offered me a $15 credit with a $3 off coupon. Being pleased with this option for my inconvenience, I then tried to order somewhere else. I called to see why i could not see my credit and the next rep stated he didn’t know but i would still be charged .50 cents to pay the pizza place. After being frustrated i spoke with another woman who was able to walk me through the credit steps and then she stated to tell me that the pizza place THEY TOLD ME TO PICK DID NOT DELIVER AND SHE HAD TO BEG THE PLACE TO DELIVER TO ME. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. It took me an HOUR just to place my order now i have to wait 40 minutes for it to be delivered.

DON’T USE THIS SCAM APP, CONTACT YOUR PIZZA SHOP DIRECTLY. I ordered through this app unbeknownst to me. A new local pizza shop opened up and I ordered through their site which is apparently linked to this app. My food came (much later) than estimated through this app which wasn’t a big deal, but my order was wrong. I contacted the restaurant who informed me that the delivery driver wasn’t theirs, he was a door dasher, but that he frequented the restaurant so they were going to give him the proper order. Of course, I never received my food. I contacted Slice several times and all they can tell me is somebody will email me after their investigations. They contacted the shop owner that night who confirmed my situation. But they refuse to refund me. As a matter of fact, I can’t even seem to get someone to send me that email about my “investigation.” I tried contacting them via phone and through their app and they keep telling me they are sending this email “tomorrow” or “in an hour” but I have yet to receive anything. Amazing that they can’t even seem to send me an email that will have some made up reason why I can’t get my money back. DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THIS APP! I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THIS APP! (Unless you want to buy a DoorDash driver a free dinner)

Used to love this app. It’s such a quick and easy way to order from local shops. But then I noticed that while the fees here are low, the pizza is about $3 more per pie than if I just called the shop directly. Then, they changed the rewards piece this week where now you only get a “pizza point” towards a free pie when you place orders over $30. As a family of 4 with small kids, we almost exclusively order single pies, which means we will essentially never order enough to reach the $30 minimum, even though we order pizza nearly every Friday of the year. I’d rather have no $ threshold and it take longer to get a free pizza (say 10 or 12 or even 15 points instead of 8), than be priced out of it because our orders aren’t expensive enough. The argument for this change is to reward the “most loyal customers” but even if I order 40+ times per year I’m not “loyal” because I don’t spend enough. Doesn’t sound like it has nearly so much to do with loyalty as it does with money.

Incorrect location searching. In my first and last exposure to this service, I downloaded the app and placed an order for the pizza place that is 2 blocks from my house. Or at least I thought I did. I used the “find pizza near me” button, which showed the store in the order confirmation, but then the pizza was ordered at the same company, but miles away—at least a 40 minute trip each way. I didn’t find this out until 25 minutes later when I went to pick up the order. When I contacted support about this, twice, they told me there was nothing they could do—one support rep told me “unfortunately we can’t cancel the order” and the other told me that they needed to have their tech team find out “what really happened”—as if I was lying to them. So their tech team can track clicks on the app but can’t location search. This is not how you launch a startup company. I am now out $30 for pizza I will not receive, and am deleting this app in a stuttering rage. Best of luck to this crappy company.

Horrible customer service!. More times than I should have had to experience, I’ve ordered from a restaurant only to find out roughly 30 mins later that the order would be cancelled! I know sometimes it’s on the restaurants end, but when I called the restaurant most recently they informed me they canceled the order immediately because I was out of their delivery zone and it took Slice about 30 mins to update the order. Least they could’ve done is offer a discount so I could order somewhere else, but that “goes against our policy”. $5 credit that only covers taxes is enough for an issue they kept placing the blame on the restaurant?! They are also extremely rude ! Passive aggressive and deflective when you explain an issue!

Disappointed. I just placed an order for a pizza, and I was beyond disappointed to find out that the minimum amount to earn a pizza point DOUBLED from $15 to $30. There is really no incentive now to use Slice over another app, or just calling the store directly. I could see raising the minimum to maybe $20, but doubling it is just insane. I never order $30 worth of food, and I’m not about to tack on a bunch of things I don’t need just to meet the minimum. As far as app usability goes, one feature that has inexplicably disappeared is the extra descriptions under each category (e.g. “served with fries” or “comes with lettuce and tomato”). I have to have my wife check the website on a browser to get this information (if I try to use a browser on my phone, it just redirects to the app). I have used Slice almost exclusively for the past couple years, but I think it’s time to start exploring other options.

Drivers are terrible. I ordered from a place 5 blocks away and tipped like 30%. Ask me why I’ve been waiting 2hrs for my pizza…I called the restaurant because I thought maybe they didn’t get the order and they told me it was picked up 15 minutes ago…I live 2 minutes away..I called customer service and they said Jennifer was 2 to 3 minutes away and that she probably had another delivery or pick up…I’ve been waiting for an additional 20 minutes since the customer service call..still no Jennifer. I ordered per the restaurant’s website and slice picks up the delivery BUT when I go into the app it doesn’t have any info on the order. Even the link sent to my phone doesn’t send me to the order for updates. Now I don’t know where Jennifer is with my 60 dollar order. I’m pretty sure my food is gone or cold or misdelivered or who knows what because these people are garbage at doing one job. Literally have to just drive pick up drive drop off. So dumb. Don’t order through this app it’s worse than grub hub.

Amazing Delivery App!!!. How many times have you ordered something for pickup and then the next time you order off the same app you forget to change over to delivery? I’ve done it on Postmates and they refused to help me. I did that tonight on and I messaged Slice to tell the restaurant to give the pizza to their staff as I made a mistake in not selecting “delivery” and my daughter was having a meltdown and I couldn’t get her into a car…well, Slice CALLED ME and helped me to change my order (cancel the pickup order and start a new delivery order) AND he waited on the phone while I did this to make sure it was done (he had already contacted the restaurant to tell them what happened). Seriously, the food delivery apps don’t care about you…but this one does.

No solution given when an error on their part made. I like slice because of the convenience of not having to call the place... i specifically asked Slice customer service how to order more than one topping of the same topping and they stated to place it in the “notes” section. I did so... showed up and was not given what I asked for in my order. The pizza place said they could not edit it because they didn’t have some I-pad. Either way... what does this have to do with me. If Slice is going to work with different locations... there should be criteria that is required to be followed. I already paid for the pizza so had to take it despite not wanting it because that’s not what i ordered. I contacted Slice... they were like “oh no...” but did not compensate me or offer any form of assistance other than a how unfortunate attitude.... no this was never resolved so I don’t want to see a comment about that. Just call the pizza place directly, a lot of times the actual place offers better deals anyway compared to this app.

App is poorly set up. Be careful when you order !!! I’ve ordered several times from a pizzeria that are listed on their app. For whatever reason I was not giving reward points towards any of those orders. When I contacted customer service, they told me that this particular pizzeria was not part of their loyalty program. Then why should it be listed on the app and why should I be able to place an order??? The customer service agent did give me credit points for the order I will say that. But then, immediately afterwards, I contacted another person and ask them if this particular pizzeria was on the rewards program they said yes they are. Then I explained that I was not given credit, and immediately they change their answer to no, they are not part of the loyalty program. When this app first came out, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very good and the fees were not bad. Since having it, the fees have gone up and they now push you to tip the pizzeria.

My honor is worth more than $7. I ordered a few things from a local place last night. The order was horribly incorrect and I notified Slice support. They said “oops, the restaurant closed for the night between the time they sent the order out the door and now, we will follow up tomorrow.” Of course the restaurant denied giving me an incorrect order which is completely ludicrous given how pitifully incorrect it was. So I had to root through the trash and pull out the stuff to prove that I was not lying to support. “Oh! Sorry for the misunderstanding sir! Here is a $7 voucher, it’s good for 30 days as a way of saying we are sorry for accusing you of being a liar!” Sorry Slice. $7 is worth less than my loyalty. Enjoy your lost business. Edit: lol at the developer response. You had multiple chances at multiple points in the process described above to “make it up to me”. And I’m pretty sure a $7 voucher which was actually offered in lieu of a full refund was your best attempt.

Won’t resolved issues if you have one.. *update to reduce a star due to developer response. I’ve been going back and forth for weeks now. Through the email provided in the response. I keep getting a response that “we’ve looked into order number [xxxxx] and found no issues.” The order number they provide is incorrect. I’ve responded 3x with correct order number and screenshots, but just keep responding with the incorrect order telling me that order is fine. Which it is! Call restaurant for delivery if you can. Slice will not resolve any issues if you have one. They will just blame you or the restaurant for the error. I had an error where they delivered to the wrong city (same road name). I have my correct address saved but the order autogenerated the other street. Their response “sorry, we don’t see an issue in our address system. We cannot help you”. I’ve had loads of orders on this app and every other one has been delivered to the correct address. Glad you got to keep my $60.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE— expect to get the run around!. The customer service on this app is HORRIBLE. I ordered a meal and it was delivered completely incorrectly— I have severe allergies and informed the Slice Customer Service line immediately of the problem. They told me I would “hear back” within 24 hours with a refund. I never heard back. I had reached out FOUR separate times on the app and FIVE times via email over the course of 2 weeks and was met with silence. I was told multiple times that I would “hear back from the escalation team” and did not hear ANYTHING. I reached out daily about my problem and was told a different story. They did not offer any refund of my meal and gave a “credit” which failed to appear on my account. If you have ANY issues with your meal, expect to get NOTHING back from the Slice Team and STILL have to pay in FULL for your incorrect order. I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years and cannot believe this was my most recent experience. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Terrible communication regarding delivery. When I placed my order I kept the delivery status window open to see when the order was delivered. The screen changed saying the order was delivered and when I went to the door it was not there. I reached out to Slice and they said the driver was delayed and should be there any minute with my order. A half hour passes with no delivery and the order screen won’t update with a new ETA since the order was “delivered”. I called Slice again and they said the driver was still delayed. I inquired if there was a way I could contact the driver directly to get a more accurate ETA, but that’s not possible. I am almost 2 hours into my order and it is not here. It is incredibly frustrating to have any lack of further communication aside from calling Slice over and over again to get an update. I will be asking for a refund.

A crappy Yelp.. This app is worthless. It wants to be a combo of Uber eats and Yelp for pizza and Italian food. I gave it a try anyways. I ordered from a place that was a 4.8 only to find out it was a 3.5 on Yelp. They should just use their ratings. But you guessed it, the place sucked. The order came 20 minutes after slice estimated it would come. 5-10 minutes fine. Who cares. But 20? Next I didn’t get the toppings I wanted on the pizza. Not sure if that is a slice miscommunication or the crappy pizza place. Lastly I go to slice customer service and I get no response for almost 10 minutes. Each response took at least 10 minutes after that. Why not just order directly from a call, Yelp, or the pizza places website? I wish I would have. Don’t waste your time with this pointless app. Update: they called the pizza place to have them credit me for the missing topping and slice gave me a $10 credit. Bumped up from 1 star to 2.

Passing the Puck and no Accountability. I’ve used this app on the recommendation of Rays Pizza in Surprise. I have used this app before and haven’t had issues. So when my order didn’t arrive but showed as delivered I expected to have the driver redirected to the right location. Instead I was met with the puck being passed to the 3rd party vendor being slice is the company I need to reach out to for a refund. Ok fine I give Slice a call only to be told bc Rays pizza goes through a 3rd party delivery service that I would have to give Rays a call. Slice refunded my money and I’ll get it with in 24-48 hours but that doesn’t change the fact that I was given the run around and made to feel like it was my fault for using delivery on top of someone else is siting with my lunch and I get to go on about my day without lunch. Rays didn’t care to make it right and NO ONE CAN REACH OUT TO THE DRIVER TO CORRECT THE DROP OFF. Rude, unacceptable, and I will no longer do business with Slice or Rays Pizza in Surprise Az

STILL CANNOT FIND MY ADDRESS!!! USELESS APP. So far there have been 2 updates since I complained that something in the app had changed and I can no longer put my address in to order. The app INSISTS on changing the address that worked just fine in the past. Every time I type in and/or select the address that I used before, the app changes it to something else...it will not leave it alone. Neither the default address that the app populates when I open it, nor the address that the app insists on inserting when I try to fix the default address will take you to my home. (I tried putting them in Google Maps and they aren’t even within the neighborhood.). It is impossible for me to use this app to order pizza because the delivery person will never be able to find me. Great job supporting your restaurant clients! No way they will be able to get an order from me. So much for supporting local pizza...will have to go with national chains that don’t have this problem with my address. ZERO STARS...GIVING UP AND REMOVING FROM MY DEVICE.

Awesome Customer Service!. I’ve used this app a few times now and everything happened smoothly and efficiently until this last order. I ordered a pizza, entered my card number and submitted as usual. Pizza came just fine but the pizza shop called me and said that the app did not send them a payment method and they took my card info and charged me for the pizza. I checked my credit card and I had been charged twice. I called the pizza shop and they told me to call Slice. I called the number listed as App support and it was an awesome experience! No robots! A human being answered quickly and she knew immediately who I was by the number I was calling from. She called the pizza shop and sorted everything out and I got a refund. Woo! Customer service still exists!

Sides with restaurant. Placed an order and had 3 out of 4 items arrive completely wrong. Explained that the items descriptions were not accurate and less to 4 out of 6 people not having an edible food for them to eat. Attempted to call the restaurant to see if they could remake the food and response was there was nothing they could do and was told the chef probably didn’t read it properly. Decided to message customer service and after 48+ hours finally figured out that Slice can not actually do anything when issues arrive and will always side with the business. I understand that mistakes happen but for the restaurant to not be held accountable or be forced to fix extremely simple issues especially when they deal with food diets and allergies to prevent future problems like this makes it clear to the consumer that they only care about the businesses. I will be sticking to other food ordering platforms that value customers.

Warning: Do Not Order From this App. This so takes a lot longer on orders than if ordered directly. There is always a problem with my order every time I have ordered. The time before last the driver wasn’t given his tip I paid him on the app and he had me reach out to customer service to sort it out in the doorway before he gave me my food. Food was cold by the time it was done. Last time the driver actually ate one of the pizzas said the place never gave it to him. A few minutes later I see the half eaten pizza and box thrown in the street in front of my place. Now I had people over with not enough food and slice did nothing to help. Stuck with just one cold pizza. Eventually I got a refund on that one pizza that the driver ate but that doesn’t make up for terrible service, the long waits, and cold pizza. I also discovered a lot of amazing pizza places that are not on the app. You’re just getting garbage advertisements really.

Disappointed- no search by name etc. The first time I used the app the pizza place didn’t get the order. When I showed up I had to wait while they made the order. Now I used the app again over a year later because a pizza joint I love recommended it and it’s so hard to use. You can’t search by name, only by address. The pizza place is far from my house and doesn’t deliver but it’s our fav and has been around since the 1940s. To find it on Slice I had to pretend I was at an address near there and then it finally came up. You should be able to search by name. Also, the toppings were grated out and I had to start over. Finally, the pizza place offers half baked so you can finish it at home since a lot of people come from far away to buy and this app doesn’t provide that option. Wouldn’t use unless I got a discount

Good luck actually getting the pizza you order!. For starters, they use Door Dash which is the absolute worst delivery service. Not sure how everyone that drives for Door Dash is incompetent, apparently the decent people drive for Ubereats instead. But we ordered pizza for our entire office today for a meeting, when our driver got there to get the pizza they said it had already been picked up by another delivery person. They remade the order and the same thing happened again, then slice proceeds to tell us that the driver cancelled due to emergency and they’ll refund us. Seems like everyone at Slice was equally incompetent trying to get an answer as to what was even going on. If it wasn’t for the pizza place calling and telling us it was picked up the second time we probably wouldn’t even know we weren’t getting the pizza at all. I hope slice still pays the pizza place too since they’re supposedly refunding us. You’re better off just ordering from the pizza place directly.

Fails to cooperate with small two place chain.. Orders through the website routed fine and I finally caved and downloaded the app. Went in for my order to find they didn’t have it. Type in my address, select the shop from top two results. Apparently it’s common for them for it to get sent from the app to their other branch…that’s 40-50 min round trip away from the one I use. You can imagine my frustration upon waiting for my good and arriving to find out it’s no where close to me and it’s not an uncommon situation for them. App may work in theory, but it’s not very useful when my order isn’t where it needs to be. 40$, wait 45 min to find out your food is half an hour away. Get there to cold food, return to cold food….eating 1.5 hours later…wasted $$. Not including the fact I tipped for this…. I won’t be ordering through this again and will probably unfortunately not reuse my normal pizza shop when the phone is busy because I’m Not hassling myself with this again.

Email notifications? Seriously?. I have used Slice quite a bit in the past, and had no problems. I understand that occasionally an order can’t be fulfilled for one reason or another. It used to be that they would text you if this was the case. Not anymore. For some reason, they now notify you via EMAIL. I am not in the habit of checking my email often unless I am expecting something. This means that if they can’t fulfill your order, unless you happen to check your email, you would never know. This is straight up unacceptable. I waited nearly 3 hours for a pizza one night recently, until I texted the Slice helpline and found out about this little change. One clearly meant to benefit Slice and not the user. Perhaps needless to say, I no longer use Slice.

Ummmm, 10% tip with no option to adjust it? Seriously?. What happened, Slice?? I’ve been using this app for years at my favorite pizza place that always treats me right and delivers delicious pizza quickly and piping hot. I absolutely love the Slice app and recommend it to everyone. Now I have to find cash to make up for the extra tip that I normally include in my credit card order? Or just pay cash completely? I almost never have cash and find the mandatory 10% tip option ridiculous. I know that I already pay a $2.00 delivery fee that I’m totally fine with, but please allow your customers to tip what they want. It’s the worst idea I’ve ever seen in an online food delivery app. We don’t HAVE to use Slice to order pizza, after all. I say fix it or you will not only loose me as a customer, but many others 😒

Confusing location features and everchanging rewards program. Too many times the Slice app has recommended pizza places that are no where near my area to try (there are 10 with 3 miles of me, about half of them are on slice). The second option right now on my pickup order suggestions is 9.68 miles away. I’m in an area where every other shop is named Tony’s or Vito’s… imagine how confusing that becomes. They don’t even offer a map like Grubhub or DoorDash do. It’s very confusing trying to find pick up locations. I uninstalled the app after earning 5 pizza points before they raised the threshold for getting a point to $30 from $15. Like why am I even spending the $0.95 support local Slice fee if they’re gonna be this difficult. I’m happier saving the dollar and going to or calling up my local shop, the owners seem happier too not dealing with the online orders. Can’t recommend staying away from the Slice app enough. Only pro I see at this point is the ability to pay with Apple Pay.

Beware of app controlled address changes. I was forced into using the app when I ordered pizza from an area pizza place. I input my delivery address and even confirmed it on the pop up that occurs as you type in an address. I completed my $42 order, tipped 20% and waited for my delivery. I never received a confirmation email. When my delivery window came and went I called the pizza place only to find my order was delivered to the wrong address and they said I had to call slice to get a refund. I called and was told that they would forward it to the tech team. The next day I received an email saying that I manually entered that address and never changed it. There is zero possibility of that happening. I had never even heard of the street. They refuse to issue a refund or even a credit nor accept that there is clearly a bug in their app. Be very very careful when inputting your address and be sure to double check your delivery address with the pizza place or you to will be out your money.

Forget about the 3 Bucks!!!. I just finished eating my delivery food order.....Not Good! I ordered shells with the sauce on the side and an order of pennes and meat sauce. The order arrived at the LaQuinta lobby within 45 minutes as promised but that’s where my satisfaction with this unprofessional and thoughtless pizza parlor ended. Not only did my shells order not have the ordered and promised meat sauce (just naked pasta)but despite the fact that my address was a room at the LaQuinta there were no plastic utensils or napkins. We could well manage being without the latter but not without the utensils. I phoned Slice and described the problem and asked that the missing items be promptly provided and was told it would be as soon as possible but they had a limited number of drivers this Friday night. Needless to say it was another 35 minutes or so before I got a knock on my door and a sheepish “I’m so sorry”! Well I’m not so sorry to warn others who might be considering the Kingsland Slice location for a delivery order to think twice. Blake

Save your time.. Terrible app. If there is ever an issue with a local pizza restaurant (which there often is) the customer service will argue semantics with you and refuse to help. They don’t seem to understand anything that you say, and are more concerned with being right than with solving the problem. Also, the app will say that your order is pending even if it has been delivered, and will sometimes say that it’s been delivered even thought it’s still pending. Garbage app, garbage customer service. Just look on the app for good pizza places and then call the restaurant yourself. Usually just as cheap and usually free delivery, minus the Slice hassle. *I left this review after a customer service rep argued with me that I had gotten app surveys through email every time I ordered. Instead of hearing my complaints they argued that I should’ve complained somewhere else. Yeah, that bad. Not sure if it is the customer service people’s fault, since the one time I called they couldn’t understand me.

Won’t be using this app again.. I ordered food from a local pizza place with this app. The order was confirmed and delivery was set to an hour after the order was placed. Well over an hour later when my food was supposed to be arriving I got a call from the pizza place that they do not deliver to my area and that I will have to contact slice to get my money back. An hour after I placed the order. At this point I called slice and explained this to them, they have to call the pizza place to make sure they haven’t started making my order yet....she then goes ahead and cancels the order. Now I have to wait for a refund. And it’s too late in the evening now that an hour and a half after I placed the order has gone by and I have to work in the morning to order anything else to get dinner tonight. They really dropped the ball on that one. I mostly blame the stupid pizza place for waiting an hour and a half to contact me to even tell me that they would not deliver to me. But slice confirmed the order. And this is not the first time I have had an issue.

Started off great. Went downhill. Used to live this app. Easy to use and cheaper than alternatives. Then it decided to keep kicking me off the app. Had to try to log back in and apparently I originally used google but this time just tried logging in with same email. It didn’t catch that there was an existing account and created a duplicate without my history and rewards. I realized this and figured out how I originally logged in and did so. My rewards were back. Went to delete duplicate account and they erased all accounts with that email. Why can you even create two accounts with the same email!?!? Now I’ve lost my rewards and it took customer service 30 minutes to figure that out. Was told to create a new account with new email and oh well to my rewards. Totally unreliable app and poorly developed. Will let the pizzerias know the issues with this as I see others having issues with the app. Alternatives are pricier but maybe you get what you pay for.

Customer Service Agents Are Liars. I placed an order through their app for the first time and my order was over 2 hrs late. The first time I place a call they told me my order was done and waiting for a driver so 15 more minutes. After waiting 30 minutes (45 minutes after original deliver time) I no longer wanted the food so I called to cancel. They told me that the restaurant said because the food is already made I can’t cancel it. I explained to the agent that I did not want cold food and to cancel it but they kept saying it was nothing they could do. I called the restaurant and they told me they never said that to the agent and that it was up to Slice to cancel if I no longer wanted it and also that my food had just been made due to the store being extremely busy. They also said if I wanted to cancel the order that Slice would have to do it. I don’t recommend this app. I will stick to Uber eats or DoorDash as I don’t like being blatantly lied to when it comes to my money. Use at your own risk!!

Garbage. They don’t help at all when the places they sponsor mess up orders or even try to make it right they only get back to you if your complaints are mild but show them pics of what happened and how the store is ran and they ignore you like they did me pizza place missed more than half my order including the pizza I ordered then had to go back for it told them I wanted fresh fries and the fries were cold finally for through to the store to find out delivery driver just left so they will have to send another one took another 30 mins to deliver it when they are 5 minutes away from my house second time ordering told them in the order to make sure mojos and fries are fresh get there to to pickup order and guess what fries mojos were cold again asked for a refund they said they’d remake them it’s only take 5 mins waited 10 and noticed that they don’t even keep their fries and mojos under a heating lamp or any heat source disgusting if health department rolled in they’d be shut down told slice all these problems and no response even sent pics ridiculous

Used to like this app. Man this app used to be worth using but now in order to receive reward points ive got to spend $30 just to get a reward point towards a free cheese pizza . It used to be $15 and my orders were always around 16 plus a 8 dollar tip which would give me a point. Im single and i work alot so $30 of food is entirely to much and no reward point is worth wasting food . Other than that this app is actually great to find pizza joints that you didnt know existed. But if you get it delivered you better tip your driver because that the right thing to do and they outsource to Doordash if its not in the restaurants delivery area so you could possibly wait forever or never get your order. They have the pickup at store options which is my goto .

Double charged - Never again!. The only reason I’m not giving this 1 star is because I‘m getting a refund. However, I will never use this app again. I ordered subs for my fiancé and I through the app and found out I was double charged, which makes no sense seeing I only placed the 1 order. Be careful when using this app, and make sure to always check your statements. Not happy in the least, and I will definitely not be using this app again. I’ve deleted all my payment information, and will be removing the app, and I highly encourage all others to proceed with extreme caution. I’ll also be requesting all my data to be removed by the company shortly as well, as I discovered that is an option. Also, I find it very confusing to see this app has a 4.9 rating, but a lot of the 5 star reviews I’m seeing are people saying they had an awful experience. Very misleading. Don’t trust the actual rating, this app obviously should be at a much lower rating.

Strongly recommend Against using this service. I ordered using this app a few days ago. Per the app… 1. The store had received my order 2. Then, my order was in the process of being prepared… 3. Finally my order was on the way. Never got my order! Turns out none of this was true. I know this because the store supposedly preparing the delivery was not answering their phones, so most likely was not even open. On my second chat with Slice’s “support” I asked for a refund. I was told they would have open a case and contact the store for reasons… I have used other food delivery apps and they never hesitated to issue a refund in these situations. I have contacted their support numerous times and they keep being promising some elusive email response to my “case” which I have never received. What I believe happens, (though I can’t prove it),is they have a store registered in their database with some hours posted. When you order, instead of really checking with the store their algorithm just assumes it is open, and then responds back in the app that your order has been received. Then it calculates average time to prep and delivery time and reports those back to you in that order so it appears that actual humans are servicing your order. I do not trust this service and do not feel safe giving them my money. If you have this app I recommend you close your account and delete it.

UI is kind of awkward and delivery/pick up times are made up. Seems hard to order from the same place and even harder to find a new place to order. Ordered from a bunch of places and they all apologize because the pick up turns are wildly off. On busy nights you end up with 10 people crammed in a place waiting for their pickup. Can be as much as 30 minutes off. Also you have no idea how long it will be BEFORE you place your order. Placed one once and the pickup time was listed as 90 minutes. Would have done something else if knew it would be that long. Developers responded saying that the pickup times are generated from past times and are NOT from the place making your food. So you are going to have to call to get an actual pickup time and if you are going to do that, you might as well order on the phone. On rainy nights my local place usually takes 50 minutes longer because everyone is ordering. Nice ideal but they should really tell you pickup/delivery times are made up

Awful customer and tech support. Tried to place an order for a menu item. The item was cheese tortellini. The app then made you choose a pasta type before you could complete the order. The item I wanted (cheese tortellini) was not one of the items. When my order was deliver I received spaghetti. I called the restaurant and they said they order came in stating to substitute spaghetti for tortellini. If I wanted spaghetti I would have ordered spaghetti. The owner told me it’s a problem on the Slice end. Spoke with them and was told that their technical team did an investigation and found no issues. Called customer support to follow up as the issue still exists and was blown off. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there on none available today nor will there be any other day. Asked to speak with someone from the tech dept and was told no. Basically they are not willing to acknowledge or fix any issues at there end…… I didn’t know we were dating.

Never Again. I will NEVER use Slice again. I am not one for negative reviews. This is my first. However, I feel strongly enough about this, after MULTIPLE delivery problems, that I felt it was time. I have made 6 orders through Slice. Each has had an absorbent delivery time. This time is much different than the quoted time. I understand ‘busy hours’ for a pizzeria. I worked in a prominent one for several years. The first time was 65 minutes past the advertised time. (Hour and a half after order placement.. 4pm order confirmed, expected delivery 5pm) The second was 1 hour 20 minutes past the quoted time. Ordered earlier, from a different, local pizza shop. 3:30 order for a 5:30 delivery. Order arrived COLD at 6:50pm. Tonight, I order was confirmed at 5:35. Order was placed at 5:20. Understanding it is a Friday night, I expected a delay, but the quoted time was 40-55 minutes for delivery. That would put delivery at 6pm- 6:15. It is now 7pm. I have called the pizzeria and Slice. Both have said they are waiting for a driver, the pizza is ready, and the expected time is now 7:15-7:30. If the pizza is ready, it is getting cold. I live 1.3 miles from the pizzeria. There is zero reason this should happen... and it happens consistently. Slice did not offer any discount or credit for this, and the pizzeria told me directly that this is a Slice problem. All of these shops mentioned are different shops. The common denominator is Slice.

Beware of fraudulent charges. Every time I use the Slice app, fraudulent charges appear on my credit card. I wasn’t sure how my credit card number kept getting stolen, but I suspected it was whenever I made a purchase through the Slice app. So, I used a credit card that isn’t tied to anything else and had no other charges on it and bought food through this app. A couple of days later, the same type of fraudulent charge appeared on the card I used in the app, just like it had after all the other purchases I made through Slice. I immediately deleted the app & called Slice customer service to tell them that my method of payment continually gets stolen when I use their app. Customer service was useless, so I filed a complaint through the BBB. I also posted warnings on every social media that I have. Please, please, please check your methods of payment on Slice for fraudulent charges. And please, please, please beware of Slice’s data breach.

Glitchy App, Horrible Customer Service. I unfortunately have used this app to order pizza. You are encouraged to use your Google account and the app is glitchy. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t. Today I tried using it, since I just switched to iPhone, I assumed it would work; I was so wrong! I then decided to use my Apple ID. A brand new account was created! No slice rewards for me! I contacted customer service to see if there was a way to merge my accounts (I am using the SAME email; I was informed that I can’t and that I should have used my Google account. Did I mention that it didn’t let me log in with that account? I then have a back and forth exchange with Amelia (Customer Service) where she doesn’t address my concern; instead she says that I have created 3 accounts; I tell her the app is not working. Finally she says that she will escalate this to IT, no solution offered; I guess no slice rewards for me! Don’t use this app! Pointless and the hidden fees will double the cost of pizza!

WPRST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I order my pizza on a slow 2:20 time on Saturday. It said that it would arrive around 3:10. When it got to 3:30 I reached out to the service team. They said no worries, just contacted the restaurant and the driver is on the way! 30 minutes later, still no food. It’s now 4 and I haven’t received my food. They say we are very sorry but with your next order you can get 5$ off. I say thanks but I’m never ordering from here again. Now, it gets to 4:20. I reach out one last time thinking I’ve just lost this 17$ that I’ve spent and waited on. They say the driver left the pizza at my AC unit! And I was like WHAT? How was I supposed to know that? I got down there and it was covered in bugs. I tossed it and then left and got food elsewhere. Just completely terrible service and nothing to make me ever want to come back. At least give a refund!

Don’t waste your time. I found the app when I googled my daughter’s favorite pizza place, Tony’s. It said this was easier so I tried it. I ordered garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, a calzone and a Stromboli. I selected pick up. I got one brief text saying that my order had been received. My daughter picked it up when she got off work. There was no calzone. I used the tech “support” and initially was “chatting” with Ashley X who proceeded not to respond and after so long it ended our session. Then I got put with Josh T. who supposedly contacted the restaurant and told him that they “double check” everything so they wouldn’t issue a refund. Josh then apologized and said that all he could do. Then he quickly typed, “It seems you are away.” And he discontinued the chat. So, I get cheated out of $15 and the app says “sorry”. First and last time using the app and sadly ordering from Tony’s Pizza in Hickory NC. I hope they spend the $15 they stole from me wisely cause they won’t get any more of my money and this app won’t get any more uses from me. STAY AWAY from this nonsense.

Not a good app. I ordered a pizza and dinner for myself and two boys. Delivery time was supposed to be 1.5 hrs after I ordered, I knew this and this, and is why I made the order at 5. I give a 10 min window to follow up on my order because it has not yet arrived. I get the response it should be there in 10-15 min. I wait no delivery. I follow back up, and get basically the same response. After an hour after the food was supposed to arrive I get a pop up for feedback. I gave 1 star and thumbs down. By doing so I start texting with customer support. Supposedly the restaurant never received my order. How is there not a confirmation system, and how do they not know where the delivery drivers are in the process. Only reason this isn’t one star is because the people I texted at customer service were fine, and I received a call from the restaurant apologizing saying they never got the order The people behind this app need to get confirmations!

Mrs. JG. Not for nothing, but this app is terrible. I was so excited to order a delivery online and not have to talk to anyone as I'm at a hotel with a migraine. I placed an order where I received an actual confirmation, and woke up from a nap only to find out it was canceled because it's closed today for the holiday. While I understand places are going to be closed, and you do note that's a possibility in your app- I should not have received a delivery CONFIRMATION my food was coming. I ordered 2 hours ago, so now my headache is worse, and me and my family still have NO FOOD. So I go back in to order from another place, and it’s the only one noted it's STILL OPEN, is closed as well because I called with a question, and they said they were closed today. So thanks for nothing, but a worse headache!

Never received order, support doesn't care. This app really disappointed us in a tough time. Ordered food for delivery with the simple instructions to ring the doorbell, waited over an hour before initiating contact with app support asking where our order was, only to be told that the restaurant said the food was made and delivered. It was delivered to the wrong address, and the horrible customer support didn't care to hear that, they just insisted that the food was delivered and they couldn't issue a refund because of it. There was no way of getting in contact with the delivery driver so we have no idea where the food was brought or what the confusion was, since our address was entered correctly. They said they would have the escalation team reach out to discuss a refund, but they never did and I had to seek a refund right from PayPal. Extremely disappointed in the complete lack of caring for the customer experience or righting any wrongs, and will not ever use the app again simply for the callous support, or lack thereof.

Absolutely the worst delivery app. Slice is another app that has inserted themselves as a middle man pretending to be a service between a customer and a small business. That’s all well and good, I suppose it’s the go to for all uninspired mid-sized tech companies, but where they take the cake is how poor the support is. Order a pizza, over an hour later I follow up. Response: they'll be there in 5 minutes, sorry Follow up 40 minutes later, can I just go get it? Response: just talked to the restaurant they’ll be there in 5 minutes 40minutes later, I leave to walk to my car, the pizza is sitting in the bushes next to my house. Check the cameras, pizza guy left it there over almost 2 hours ago. So clearly, they did not call the pizza shop either time. They will just tell you “he’s 5 minutes out” and pray they are correct. If I had to guess I would say there’s a strong chance support is actually a chat bot. What a joke, boy do I feel dumb for giving them a shot.

Used to be good, but now the point system is not fair. I used to love this app because you used to get a pizza point every order; now you have to spend $30 which is prejudiced towards a person that lives alone – my orders never go past $25 as one person, even when I add extras that I don't even really want. Basically this app is useless now for me so I'm done. This is my last order on here and I just found out why I'm stuck at 6/8 points despite ordering numerous times after getting my 6 points. They should at least give you some points for each order that will eventually equal one slice point; that would be more fair. Now this app is only for families of 3 or more. Even when my bff eats over, it still doesn't equal $30 and why should it?! We are talking about pizza joints here – it's supposed to be under $20! That's the whole point of pizza, so yeah slice, way to make it unfair for most customers who just want to order a pizza! & The free pizza is only $25? So why do we have to pay $30 8x to get $25? Makes no sense!

My go to food delivery app. This app is amazing and keeps getting better. If you are a pizza / Italian lover like I am than this app is for you! I travel for work and am all over the place. First, support replies very quickly and can help with orders. I forgot to add a special request for my sons order and there was no way of changing it online and I could not get the restaurant to anawer. Slice’s live chat took care of it for me and sure enough my order came delivered just his I wanted it! No matter where I have went (east coast) I’ve found some pretty awesome pizza joints that have become regulars of mine when I’m in town. The awards is also nice, you earn pizza points and for every 8 points earned you get a free pizza! Go ahesd, download it your probably hungry anyways.

Fantastic and easy to use app. This is my third time using the app and I keep finding smart features. For example, it gives you the option to reorder the same thing you did on your previous order upon opening the app. It would be great if you allowed the option to edit my last order slightly and then purchase. I also liked the option at this point to jump to a specific category since I didn’t want to order exact same thing as last time. Additionally, I called customer support the first time using the app and they were very helpful and told me when my order should arrive so I didn’t have to call the pizza place I ordered from. Deliveries have all been delivered in the estimated time given and you get updated on your order status. Love the Apple Pay feature, too.

Poor customer service. I recently ordered a Meat Lover pizza from La Dolce Casa - DiMaggio's through SliceLife. While the delivery was on time, the pizza I received was completely different from what I ordered—I ordered a Meat Lover pizza and Sprite, but pizza arrived with no included meat toppings at all. They only added extra chicken. I understand that mistakes can happen, so I promptly contacted SliceLife customer service to address the issue. Unfortunately, this matter remained unresolved throughout the weekend. Even more frustrating was the resolution offered by La Dolce Casa - DiMaggio's today (Monday)—a mere 5% refund, equivalent to $1.89 out of $50 order. This hardly compensates for the inconvenience caused by their mistake because I had to wait for another hour for food ordered somewhere else. Based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend SliceLife. The mix-up in the order and the seemingly inadequate resolution have left me dissatisfied with their customer service. This is my second time when I had delivered completely different order and Slice Life doesn’t try to resolve the issue.

Disgusting abuse of customers. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by my first use of the app. I place an order, paid for it and received a confirmation text of delivery time. When my food never arrived I called the restaurant who claimed the order was never sent to them. When I contacted the app help line I was told the restaurant was out of stock on the items I ordered and cancelled the order. Funny how no one from either the app or the restaurant contacted me to tell me there would be no order, yet still managed to charge my Apple Pay account and take my money. What a terrible scam. Pretend to send delivery that never arrives and it’s everyone you aren’t talking to fault. Now I have to wait 1 to 7 days to get refunded ( if I even do). If the items were out of stock why were they listed as available, the order accepted and I charged. I will definitely not be using this app again. If I do not have my money in the 7 days I will take further action

I really wanted to like this app…sadly I’m done. I’ve used the slice app several times in the last year. I thought it would be an easy way to try different local pizzerias. Each time I placed an order, I hoped the delivery issues I experienced would be isolated to that one order. I was fooled several times. The majority of my orders arrived well past the “latest” time the app told me my order would be delivered. Imagine having young tired and hungry kids waiting over an hour for their food. Also, most of the time only parts of my order were delivered. The driver would then have to go back to the store to get the remaining items when we already waited so long for our food to begin with. I really wanted to like this app, but my latest order will be my last. Between the food items themselves having an increased cost in comparison to going directly to the store, the delivery fees and all the delivery issues I have experienced from using the app, I’m done with Slice. Good idea, but extremely poor execution.
