Too Busy and Too Much. We have been using this app starting fall semester of 2020 for both of our kids because our child’s school implemented it. Both of us parents have spent a lot of time on this app just to figure out how it works. It definitely does a lot. It does a lot more than our school will ever use. It’s not as intuitive as it could be. I would like to see everything I need to see in one or two buttons. There’s just too many places to put information, so every time I check into this app I have to check many places for information. I have found it to be a little bit more of a waste of time then I savior off time. My wife is a superintendent of a school district, and has a background in tech. She has basically given up on using this app. We gave it three stars because it’s a good start. It be great if Bloomz could streamline the app and make it more user-friendly. For now we still just use emails and texts with our teachers and classmates. Also, Google classroom has most of the useful Bloomz features which the teachers and parents at our child’s school seems to be using over this app.

I love this app!. This has been awesome for communicating with my sons teacher. We used Bloomz last year as well and so far I have no complaints at all. I’m not very tech savvy and it super easy. I use it mostly for the message feature to communicate with his teacher. I also love how I can see pictures of what my son is learning that his teacher posts. I also want to point out that it’s 100% secure and having to be added by the teachers themselves and only other parents within the classroom can see media posted makes me feel confident that my sons pictures and classroom routines don’t leave the classroom. The safety of this app is really what sold me on using it.

I Receive notifications but the app will NOT open! :(. Prior to recently this app always has been a 5 star app. Now I can’t force it to open. I continue throughout the day to check for an update, but for whatever reason this app will not work on my iPhone 11. I receive the notifications that there are new post, but can’t open the dang app. I have always loved this app and never had issues with it but for the past 2 or 3 months it would not show anything recent that had been posted and now it will not move past the blue screen with white Bloomz on it. I have tried EVERYTHING! So frustrating as this is the line of communication my child’s teacher prefers. Needs attention immediately.

Hot garbage. This app don’t fall for it, there is no portfolio for the child, there are no documents from teachers nothing and when you think well maybe if I pay the $20 I will be able to see something from the school... maybe see my child’s progress, nope it’s exactly the same no change to the app at all when you give them $20 dollars! So you try to get your money back guess what that ain’t happening there is absolutely no place to get any support, I know what your thinking how about the support button? Yeah I thought that too but psych! It’s not support, they are generic questions with answers they have nothing to do with your problems or questions no way to speak to anyone. So that’s your family friendly app... short for appreciate my money back or do anything that you advertise

Amazing educational app. I love using Bloomz to keep my parents updated with what is happening in our classroom. I am able to share photos and videos with everyone and use the portfolio piece for keeping student work for everyone to see. I love how Bloomz has a sign up section for volunteers, materials, and also an easy way to schedule conferences. It makes everything easy for parents and teachers. I can message a parent with a question or statement on my phone or computer. I can also schedule posts to be made for certain times or days. Bloomz has made communicating with my class parents 100 times easier. It is streamlined and easy to use!

Best Communication Attributes Currently. I’m a current 1st grade teacher and have used the app for two years now. I’ve used many of Bloomz’s competitors and Bloomz has the best overall attributes. The Media Signups, and Documents section, the vast customizable features, and the ability to schedule conferences within the calendar section make this the cornerstone communicator for school to home. Bloomz support/staff continue to enhance the app and are open to user suggestions. The user interface is simple and clean when considering all the features and abilities presented. Continue with the great ideas!

Horrible App. Really wish the school district would go back to Remind. I signed up for this app in order to be included in my step-son’s class information. The app doesn’t allow you to sign up just for one kid. It shoves you into ALL the kids classes. I don’t need to be involved in my teenage stepdaughter’s classes but I didn’t get a choice. There’s NOTHING intuitive about this app. It’s a nightmare to navigate. Busy parents don’t have time to spend learning a complicated and poorly designed new app. I just need the basics which Remind does easily but Bloomz does not. I tried to message the teacher and was about to send when it said it was going to go to 84 people. What the heck?! I’m trying to message the teacher only!! I just got a notification on my phone. Besides the fact that it takes AGES to load anything in Bloomz, I see this important alert message was sent 37 minutes prior to my getting the alert. I have a brand new iPhone and I’m on fiber wifi. It shouldn’t take that long to load this app or get an alert. I know it’s not my phone or my service. It’s this app. Super disappointed. No idea why any school district or parent would want to deal with this.

Great but a little lacking.... As a parent, I’ve used Dojo over the years and genuinely never had any issues. This is my 3rd month using Bloomz and I’m not too sure about it. I absolutely love the scheduling feature, providing a calendar event for all to see. Even more, the ability to commit to an event and sign up for event details (like bringing cups to the class party)! This is the best part of Bloomz, hands down! However, I absolutely do not like the idea that a parent has to pay for the ability to save a photo that was sent in a message from the teacher. Of course, I can always go on a laptop and retrieve the photo, but it’s most convenient to download them from my phone because that’s where I read the message to begin with. I seldom use my laptop, and always forget to go back and retrieve images at a later time when my laptop is available to me. If the developers can veto the paid feature, all would be well with Bloomz!

Good app, bad customer service. I am a 4th grade teacher and have been using Bloomz for a year or so. I’ll start with what I like- ability to add photos, easy to navigate, easy for parents to sign up, options for personalization. It’s a valuable resource. There are some funky bugs in the app, most are workable, but there is one in particular I cannot work around. The “sign up” letter is a formula, which is fine except the language doesn’t make sense in the title. I sent an email to customer support and while they were responsive at the beginning, they didn’t really listen to my concern. When I laid it out for them again, they stopped responding. It appears that there is no fix for the issue, so they decided ignoring me would be a good idea? Horrible customer service!!!!! Might be migrating to Remind 101 or the like if I have any more issues.

Not friendly for more family members. It’s ok. The “news” feed is really busy. For example, do I really need to see every time some kids parent (ehem KAREN!) in my kids class changes their profile picture? No, no one needs to see that. I don’t need to see every little change that the “other parents” are making to their profile. Stop being terrible Facebook and be original. The app is also glitches and freezes in some screens. You have have to force close the app to get it working again. Also, I find it challenging to see what is newly posted and what is old. That could be on me. But my REAL ISSUE I have with the app is for a family you can have yourself, a spouse, and your children. End of story. That is so ridiculous. When is the last you’ve seen a traditional 1940 nuclear family? We have step parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, step children, cousins, foster parents, etc. Why can’t they get be apart of the family? At the very least there should be room for both parents and step parents. These are my thoughts. Thank you. That is all.

Excellent way to communicate with families. I’ve used Bloomz for a few years and this year I decided to pay and upgrade. I love it and recommend it to my fellow teachers. It’s fairly easy to use, once you test it out and get the hang of it. It allows for immediate ways to get in touch with parents- either with a text message or through reminders. Events on the calendar can be set for an automatic reminder which relieves me from trying to send out constant reminders each time. With the text message feature, personal info is confidential and it’s all through the app, which allows for more immediate communication without revealing too much personal information. And the parents have responded positively as well- to the photos and updates posted, reminders, and being able to get in contact with one another through the app. All inclusive! Highly recommend!

Not functional or user friendly. Last week, I was trying to reply to a teacher’s class message with a personal message but it sent a message only to myself (not the teacher). I was trying to message a teacher this morning about an urgent matter and it keeps changing the recipient back to a different teacher (not my child’s teacher) who accidentally added us to their class, so I can’t message my child’s actual teacher at all. The push notifications aren’t coming through. Email notifications were not getting sent with the requested frequency so I had to shut them off. Our district is trying to have ALL communication go through the app now but I hate this app.

Easy to communicate. This app is a great way to communicate with my sons teachers and other parents as well. However one thing I did not like was when I first began using the app you have to do the whole tour, which is fine for one go around. But with my experience it did not go away after the first time and kept coming up every time I signed in and it was very annoying. I’m not sure if it was glitch with the app or what. It took about a month for it to finally go away. But I do like being able to reach anyone in the class and post pictures and see others albums and upcoming events. It also makes signing up for events and conferences a lot easier. This is a smart way for teachers to communicate with parents rather than having to email each one. I enjoy it very much.

On their way up!. As a previous user of Remind and Class Dojo, there are a few things I really love on Bloomz! However, there is still much to be desired. The perks? Uploading multiple pictures is incredibly convenient! I love the sign-up feature whenever I’m having a class party. The ability to differentiate between a permanent post vs. temporary announcement has been really convenient. Also, Setting up parent conferences was a breeze with the sign-up feature! Unfortunately, there was a glitch a week before conferences and 2/3 of my times were deleted. That brings me to the other features that are lacking. I still occasionally get a notification bubble when there are none. On the website, I cannot consistently access my messages, as I can often only see the screen that “teaches” me the conveniences of their messaging system. The overall app is not as user friendly as other messaging systems. The BIGGEST issue I have is that the parents names are not visually connected to all of my students names. I have 34 students, there is no way I have all of their parents’ names memorized, so I would greatly appreciate it if the app was updated so students’ names were visible with all parents’ names when messaging and/or signing up parents. I’m looking forward to seeing how this app improves!

Bad as a parent. I’m in my second year of using Bloomz for my son’s school. Although it has become slightly more user friendly, it still feels very awkward and clunky. Difficult to navigate and had to find obvious thing. Notifications show up different on the app icon than 2 different locations for notifications once app is opened. Bell icon for notifications doesn’t work. Just shows super old and outdated invites instead of what my new alerts are. When scrolling down on my son’s class site, the app jumps around making it hard to make sure I’ve seen everything and just frustrating and time consuming. There should be clear places to go for updates from teachers, photos from school, events calendar. Having everything in one feed is fine as long as you can also see it clearly separated.

New Limits extremely disappointing. The new limits that Bloomz has instituted for the sponsored level are unbelievably disappointing. Between not being able to now archive one class while you have an active class to only having two teacher accesses to never now never receiving message notifications ever, this invaluable teacher tool is now useless. I don’t have the disposable income as a teacher to pay for the premium myself to prevent these limitations. Will definitely be switching platforms! In response to your response….you should have an actual educator on your staff as a content consultant! Perhaps they would help you understand a teacher can not afford the amount you are charging per year, the importance of notifications actually working, and that teacher and student limitations are not acceptable. Disappointed that an app made specifically for teachers has become so anti- educator!

Helpful but glitchy at times. I like the user friendly nature of this app, but have noticed a few times updates will pop into my Notification Center but will not be viewable immediately within the apps update page. This has been merely annoying previously, but with this being the major communication tool between the parents and teachers during the covid19 dismissal from schools this glitch has become anxiety inducing as things within the school system are changing rapidly. I’m definitely grateful for this communication tool especially at this time but I wish the reliability to access information as soon as it’s given was sound.

Customer service not helpful. This app worked great for me last year, regardless of the little bug issues. However, this year it seems to be going downhill. Since the beginning of the school year, parents have told me that they are not receiving my notifications for my posts/ announcements but receive them from my messages. Because of this, they have missed many important posts. I have worked with parents to check their notification settings, and everything is how it should be (along with mine). I reached out to Bloomz about 4-5 times via email since the issue started and have gotten absolutely no help. They told me that phone calls are only for paid customers, so I have no way to contact them other than email, which they do not help with. I am very saddened since I did enjoy this app and it made it easy to communicate with parents, but I am afraid that I will have to find a new communication app to use since parents and myself are unhappy.

Great parent/teacher communication app!!. I love this app! Two of my child’s teachers have used it and it’s great! I love that they can share pics and info about the school day with just the parents of the classroom. The private message section is great too. I love that I can message the teacher or a group of parents. Like for birthday parties instead of having my child ask for addresses or hand out invites I can message them and get the info and then mail them all out. Not a fan that I have to pay if I want to keep the pics that the teacher posts but I understand why they do that (yes I’m a cheapskate). So I use the free version and I enjoy what I can get out that. I wish more teachers used this. It’s a great app!

Everything on BLOOMZ. Bloomz is where it’s at. Everything you would need to communicate with parents and students ALL IN ONE! I don’t have to switch around anymore with different apps just to communicate with parents and students. Everything I need is right here and is so much easier to do. It is very user friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this to ALL TEACHERS out there who are seeking an app where everything is organized and kept in one place. Signups, portfolios, points tracker, alerts, messaging...etc. It truly made my life so much easier. Thank you Bloomz!😍

Fix the bugs. The app is a great tool when it works. Unfortunately, we have encountered countless glitches recently that are annoying & render the app useless. Specifically, we receive notification of a new posting or message from the school or from a teacher & when we attempt to open the app to see the post, it just buffers & doesn’t respond unless we shut down our phones to allow the app to reboot. I thought it was a problem with my phone or perhaps I was doing something wrong since I am not the most tech savvy person. However, my son & daughter-in-law, both of whom work in IT, have encountered the same problem so it must be the app.

Frustrated please fix it. So when my daughter started school, her teacher sent home the instructions t join this app. Cool, no problems. Did fine. Then my daughter chef classes. I received an invite from her new teacher and it didn’t work. Then the teacher added me to the class and I still don’t have anything from her on the app. I have signed out and signed in. I went to your website where there is no actual contact number and only troubleshooting articles which are not helpful. I’m not dumb, I can work an app, but if you wants to make a more complicated and non-user friendly platform, you have succeeded. It would be really helpful if someone in charge of this thing would help me. Thanx.

Thanks a ton!!!- happy parent:). Both my kids' teachers use bloomz app for their classrooms. The coolest thing is, I have a peek into their classes at one place. I am staying on top of what's happening in their classes and I even volunteer more regularly in their classes. Before it was a big hassle to volunteer. I always used to misplace the volunteer papers that were sent home. Paper free:)) This app made parent teacher conference sign up and reaching out to other class parents for play dates super easy!!! Finally bloomz made our lives lot more easier - a happy working parent with no guilt :)) = happy children:))))

Just OK. I’ve been using Bloomz for my son’s class since September 2018. It is my first experience with a classroom app and I have to say that I’m not too impressed. It seems glitchy and not very intuitive. I have badge notifications that seem to take days and days to finally go away after I’ve seen any updates. This alone drives me crazy! When I see a notification badge I end up searching all through the app to find something new, alas it’s all old news. Then magically a day or 3 later the badge will finally disappear. I’m always left wondering if I’ve missed something important from the teacher or another parent. My other issue is that I get notified for every little “like” and “comment” on a post, yet when someone posts photos, there’s no notification. Nothing. Crickets. I’ve recently just stumbled upon some fun pics of my son from October that I had never seen. I’ve also been the main poster of photos for the class and I am 100% certain that no one has seen them. So now I’m wondering that if I post class photos, do I then have to separately send a class-message informing parents to head to the media section to see pics of their kids? Seems very silly and redundant when it could be a simple badge when anything new in any part of the app has been added. I could go on and on. I do like some features, but it could be a LOT better.

BEST. CLASSROOM. APP. EVER.. This is hands down the best classroom app I have ever tried! I don’t use the management piece (with the points and blooming plants) but I use almost everything else, especially the communication piece. I love how connected I feel to my student’s families and it makes communication easy and simple. The parents love it, too. I see some people have rated Bloomz and said that there were some glitches and flaws but like every app, the developers are always looking for areas for improvement and fixing those bugs with their updates. I have never run into any kind of glitch or flaw using Bloomz. I think that some people are also more technologically fluent than others. Some people may run into something that they think is a problem or a glitch when it’s actually not, they are just unsure how to navigate the app correctly and that may affect a person’s opinion about Bloomz.

Almost awesome. As many parents know, getting accuracy about how a day went for (younger) children can be challenging. Bloomz lets me ask better questions and get more in depth answers because of the insight I get into what my child did during the day. I find myself immediately opening the app when I get notified about new posts, I make a more concerted effort to leave likes to show appreciation for uploads than I would in other social media apps, and I generally like the model a lot. It does have some polish issues around usability and performance which are some of the reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars, but I have noticed those issues getting better over time as well.

Barely functional. I’ve had this app for the past year and the navigation is not very intuitive in general. I receive regular updates notifications of parents and teachers posting on the app and the ability to discern what the update is can be challenging, or unimportant. I’m just brought to the Home Screen of the app without any guidance around what is new. And often I’ll receive an app notification for something unimportant like if a parent just likes a post. Over the past 2-3 weeks, the app went from usable but not a great experience, to almost completely unusable. One of the recent updates has resulted in my app not initializing and just sitting at a blue startup screen. In order to be able to open the app, I’ve had to uninstall it and reinstall it. I’m on my 5th time of this in 5 days. I have the most recent iPhone and iOS, so not sure what the issue. Many other parents are having similar issues and the school is just basically avoiding posting to Bloomz at this point and is using email instead.

Our go to way of communicating!. The past three years of using Bloomz has helped simplify and enhance the way we send out information at our preschools! Now not only I as a supervisor can send out notices / emails to parents but so can all of our teachers. I no longer have to wait to send out important information till I get back to my computer. I can just send out an alert, announcement or post straight from my phone. Same for the parents, they get the information faster directly to their phones but still can get it on their computer if that is what they prefer (works on both). Bloomz has been essential in emergency alerts as well. When sadly we had to evacuate we opened up our phones once we were to our safe location and notified our families. We choose at our site not to use the behavior portion of the app (Never tried it. It might be great, we just don’t need it at our school) but we do rely on sharing all our photos on Bloomz to show what we do in the classroom & we also use the calendar + sign ups. Sign ups could be for conferences, volunteers or pot lucks etc. Thank you Bloomz for helping us create a stronger school community with a convenient way of communicating!

Worked better before updates. I paid for the subscription for my son’s class last year, and I did the same this year. Last year, the app worked perfectly. Albums were easy to find and add to. New posts by a teacher always showed up first. And notifications arrived on time. This year, I’ll sometimes get a text about a new post, but I can’t find the post anywhere on the app. New posts are sometimes hidden under older posts. I find myself scrolling through several days worth of posts regularly to be sure I haven’t missed something new. I still like the app as a tool for teachers to communicate with us/the parents. But I wish it worked as smoothly this year as last year.

Love this!. My son’s teacher uses this app to communicate with all the parents and I love it! She sends daily updates with pictures that lets us know what they are working on and makes it so much easier to discuss their day with first graders who aren’t always so forth coming with details. She can also send reminders for special activities, set up meetings/conferences and request volunteers when needed. It takes a little getting used to and isn’t always the most user friendly, but in terms of making communication with my kids’ teacher easier I absolutely love it!!! I hope the rest of the teachers start using it too.

Disappointed. I was super excited to try bloomz for my 1st grade classroom, and in short, I have been disappointed and frustrated. Things I Like: -Conference sign up and materials sign up! This was so easy and awesome for me and families! Excellent feature. Things I Don’t Like: -Glitchy. I receive notifications late or not at all and when I do receive notifications, they lead me to nothing. My app did not work for an entire month and I had to use my computer. Even updating and restarting my phone did not help. -Not very intuitive. Often confusing to navigate. There a lot of different places information is stored (feed, media, portfolios, etc) and they are not easy to locate. -Messaging. I don’t like that group messages are actually a group message. I want to send a message to parents individually, but all at once. I don’t have time to type the separate message 25 times. Difficult to send media (see next point). -Photo Sharing - One main reason I wanted Bloomz was to share photos with families. That has proven extremely difficult. In messages they are difficult to upload and send out of order. They also don’t download when I receive them from parents. If you send a message with a photo, they sometimes cancel each other out and the photo will not send. When families post and share photos, they seem to only share with me, when families would like to share with the rest of the class. Unfortunately, this app did not suit my needs and I will not be using it next year.

Incredible when working .... $ is a lot. I’ve been using Bloomz as a teacher for almost 2 years and one year as a parent. There are many times when the app isn’t working, I can’t upload pictures to portfolios or even to communicate with parents. If all of the features worked properly it might be worth the money but in the moments (25% of the time) it isn’t working it’s super frustrating! We use the portfolios tab, posts, calendar, parent messaging, and announcement features the most with our class. Trying to communicate with the makers of the app is near impossible. The customer service has definite areas for improvement when it comes to how to assist in problem solving and assisting clients. Next year we will be using a different app, one that doesn’t cost $100 for a service that only works 75% of the time.

Love it!!. Omg why aren’t more teachers using this app?!! Its so convient and easy to stay in contact with the teacher. I also love that he can upload pics of their learning experiences! We just had teacher conferences and the teacher was able to make time slot event for parents to sign up for. It was super easy and and quick to get conferences set up. More teachers need to get on board with this app. This one is my fav out of the ones others have used. And the fact that its easy to navigate, and communicate makes it so much better!

Terrible app.. I have three kids in three schools and three classrooms. I get multiple notifications daily, and no clue what those notifications are for once I go into the app. My feed is littered with new members which is great but I do not care. I would prefer members to be a separate menu that is searchable. Messaging teachers is cumbersome and I usually end up finding their email address on the school website faster and communicate that way. My two stars are simply because I like the feature of sign ups. And when I see what the teachers are trying to communicate, I feel informed. I use it because I have to and am counting the days until I can delete it.

It’s a great start, but APP is glitchy. I just started using Bloomz, in the middle of the school year. I increased parent connection to class announcements from 3 parents, on my old website, to 25 parents on Bloomz. I love how I can message parents in a less intimidating way, that is more like a text message than a formal email. I love that I can see who has viewed my updates, and parents can interact with it through comments and likes. I also love that families, who don’t speak or read English, can have my updates auto-translated into any language. Then, parents can write to me in the language that they are comfortable with, and I can read it in English. The down side is when I use the app, verses the online platform, I find there is a lag in posting, and items take very long to load. This is especially frustrating when I am accepting and welcoming parents. After I accept a parent on the app, it doesn’t update and shows I still need to approve. It makes it unclear to me if a parent is welcomed, and causes me to worry that it looks as though I am ignoring some parents.

Tracking behavior needs to be easier. Overall, I like using Bloomz as far as being able to use it not only to track behavior and send out messages, but to schedule conferences or ask for donations for a party. However, tracking behavior is more steps (read “time away from teaching”) than it needs to be. Class Dojo was much easier to track-no need to hit select, then next, etc. once you clicked kid’s name then you could just click on the behavior you wanted to award a point for instead of all of the hassle. It would be great to get it streamlined to be less time consuming.

Bugs, and glitches, and “system updates” OH MY. This app is one of the worst in the parent-teacher communication category. It’s constantly down, glitching, or running a system update that never seems to change anything. As a teacher, I get phantom notifications all the time, but when a parent actually tries to send me a message I don’t get any notification whatsoever. Parents experience glitches in notifications as well, causing them to miss important posts or direct messages I send out. The website takes forever to load and the app is just as clunky and out of date. Worst of all, you have to pay for a premium subscription if you want access to features that other classroom apps give you for free. Save yourself the hassle and pick one of them!

Great product but if you could tweak one thing. I love having this app, I stay in contact with my Childrens teachers and they are constantly updating me on their day which is fantastic. It’s a great spot for updates and school info. There is one thing I would fix if possible and it’s the way you find the updates. I will see a notice number on the Bloomz app that maybe I have 3 updates but when I go into find them it doesn’t take me to the updates and I often have a hard time figuring out what the 3 updates were. It would be better if upon opening it would immediately highlight what is new information.

Nothing but issues. Started using this app last year for my child’s class and was not impressed. From the start there has been issues and I am still experiencing issues even with a new teacher using Bloomz. The content doesn’t load 85% of the time and shows that nothing is posted when in fact there has been something posted because the teacher has informed us. I’m now receiving emails that a post has been made but that I haven’t joined the class, when in fact I have joined the class. Today, pictures have been posted and here I am yet again unable to see them. The App doesn’t even open at this point. All I get is the Bloomz blue screen with the wheel the spinning wheel that leads to nothing. This App is not worth your time!!!! 😡

Good but needs work. This app is good because I can communicate with teachers and other parents without having to their personal info or give out mine. I get the whole year schedule of testing and field trips and events. And I can upload pics of those events. What could use work is the notifications and calendar. I have missed entire conversations I should have been a part of because the notification didn’t come in or I couldn’t find what the notification was for. In the calendar, it’s great to know what’s coming, but being able to click on the event and add it to my own device calendar would make it better. Or to be ale to set a reminder for the event from Bloomz. Then I wouldn’t miss special clothing days, dressing appropriately for field trips, etc.

This app actually hinders communication!. The above statement may sound perverse, but it actually puts up a barrier between direct communication between other parents. While I like being able to communicate with the teacher - who I generally wouldn't just text directly - there's no reason there has to be so many steps between you and another parent. Because of this app, parents don't get each other's information, and school directories are becoming obsolete. With the ability to email and text directly, there is no need for this app. If you want to create a real community in your school, you have to have some level of trust. This app works against that, and fosters disconnection and distrust. Plus, it's so clunky and unreliable! I frequently miss group messages, and so do other teachers. School leaders - don't believe the hype!! This app complicates communication, rather than facilitates it.

Glitchy. As a teacher, I love all of the features Bloomz offers, but it’s so glitchy! After over two years using Bloomz, I thought they’d have worked out the glitches by now, but I still get random notifications on the app. I’ll often click through everything to find where it’s coming from without being able to. Often it’ll disappear for a few minutes just to reappear the next time I pick up my phone. It’s maddening! There’s also a few glitchy things in their messaging. I really want Bloomz to be better. It has so much potential! I’m just so disappointed it’s not better by now!

My favorite parent communication app. I used Bloomz last year and loved it! It translated messages for my parents, it differentiated between a message and an alert, and it allowed me to schedule conferences/ask for volunteers. The calendar feature is probably my favorite part of Bloomz because it made communicating and scheduling so much easier when everything is done on one app. Unfortunately, you only get 125 media uploads, which I didn’t realize until I went to start my new class. There’s no way to archive the class and I’m not willing to delete the entire class yet. I teach special Ed and will still work closely with those students! I’m not willing to pay $100 when other apps are free, so I’ll be switching to Class Dojo 😔

This app is NOT free to use as intended. After several years on Class Dojo our son started at a new school with the teachers using Bloomz. We got signed up fine, and the second day of class a parent posted a picture to share via the messaging section. I clicked the button to download the picture and all of a sudden got a pop-up requiring a $20 payment to be able to download photos. One of the selling points of Bloomz in the app description is the ability to share class photos. But that’s not the case unless every parent pays the $20/year subscription. I’ll stick with Facebook, text, email, or Class Dojo—all of which are free for parents to use for keeping up with class happenings and sharing class photos.

Years of unimproved glitches. I have used Bloomz for 4 years with my children’s classes. Bloomz continues to have serious glitches that freeze the phone, do not allow photo uploads, etc. As an iPhone user (have had 2 different phones while using Bloomz) I cannot upload a photo in the messages to communicate with our teachers. If I try to upload a photo it always freezes. I have to shut down app and start the message over. Never am I able to post a photo. Not once. Our entire school (26 classrooms) have wanted to love and use Bloomz as a school wide platform but it has too many glitches that make the app freeze. This is a huge bummer. I love all the potential features of Bloomz when they actually work. We will be moving to Class Tag even though we in theory like Bloomz features better- if they actually worked. Bloomz- Why have these glitches not been fixed in 4 years? Many of us have asked for these specific features to work. Make the switch to make it work or take away the false features. The first thing out of every parent’s mouth in regards to Bloomz, “It has a lot of glitches.” “It’s very glitchy.” “I can’t ever get it to work.” “It keeps freezing.” “I can’t upload photos to an album.” “I can’t message a photo assignment to teacher.”

Awesome app & Lifesaver during distance learning. I’ve been using Bloomz for the past 3 years and love how easy it is for teachers to post messages, videos, pictures, ask for donations, and set up parent conferences. It does a lot more but these were my most used features. It was not until distance learning that I realized how important having this type of communication with your parents actually is. Bloomz was a lifesaver for me when many of my colleagues were running around trying to figure out how to communicate with their parents easily and efficiently during a pandemic. Most of my parents use Bloomz on their phones and get immediate notifications when I post. This made it super easy for them to access my lesson plans, links, PDF homework packets, and videos I would post. I’m not looking forward to distance learning again but find comfort knowing that I can communicate with my parents via this awesome app. Thanks Bloomz!

Terrible. This app is not user friendly at all. One of my kids teachers used class dojo years ago and I️ found it very easy to navigate and use. This one seems very buggy, even after updating the app. All of my kids teachers use bloomz and every single one complains about posts not uploading, communications getting lost and pictures not being uploaded. I️ don’t bother anymore using Bloomz to communicate either directly to the teacher or in a group with other parents. Email is much more efficient and direct. If I️ was able to give it zero stars I️ would. I️ tell every single parent and teacher I️ am in contact with to stop using this and use class dojo instead. Or even using nothing but email would be better. This app is a waste of time and is useless!

Awesome parent/teacher communication. I stumbled upon this app 4 years ago. Each school year I invite my families to the app before I meet them. Our back to school night is before the start of the school year and by that time families know a lot about me. One feature I absolutely love is the conference scheduling option. I have them scheduled before meeting the families. I post daily and sometime multiple times a day. Parents love having an insight to the classroom. It gives them an opportunity to talk with their child about that activity rather than the child giving very little information about the school day. Being able to direct message with parents is great too! It has also been great for the homeroom parent team and me to communicate about class activities around holiday time. Bloomz is especially beneficial right now with social distancing and our schools being closed for 2 weeks. I can video myself and post it to the class. Parents are saying how much the kids love being able to see me even though we are not in school. I love this app and am so glad to have found it! Give it a try!

Amazing, especially now. This app was great when school first started. Our teacher posted pictures of our little ones on their first day, pictures of arts and crafts, pictures of parties, and special events. They posted tips on how to help our kiddos learn and study the lessons they were working on in class. We even used it to invite classmates to parties on weekends. Now that school is closed due to Covid 19, we’re using it to keep in touch with teachers so they can send resources for our kids to learn while they’re home. We’re sending pictures of our kids swimming, doing arts and crafts at home and studying. This app is great and I hope our next teacher uses it, too.

Concept great, execution terrible. The idea around this is awesome, but using this app frustrates us to no end. Extremely slow when loading any data - I spend more time looking at “Loading…” then I do looking at any content. And notifications, not sure what’s going on here, but badge counts show multiple unread notifications where I don’t see anything in the app. Not to mention if an action is pushed to both Mom & Dad, there is no way to tell if the other parent completed the action as the “new” notification persists. Not sure if this is our school’s use of the platform or the platform itself, but either way the issues lie back with the platform itself IMO. We’ve got at least 7 more years with this app, so hopefully it improves.

Useful app!! works smoothly and easily!. This is a really useful app for staying in touch with the class teacher about everything. It works smoothly and accurately. I am grateful to have it.

No access in Australia. This seems to be a great app but when prompted to select my country to set my class up, it literally has every country in the world as an option other than Australia. Very frustrating.

Fantastic!. We love this app for connecting with our son’s teacher daily. Our little boy has autism, so we are always wondering how he has been during the day. This crosses the communication barrier. We love it

Not working.. Currently using iOS 8.4.1. App fails to launch

Dbsj. Not a fan sorry, needs to be simplified and the too many glitches that remain unresolved. Class Dojo was so much better! Glad it's our last year with it!

Great idea to contact teachers!. Great!

Don’t hesitate to download. This is a really great app. As a busy parent with running around and doing errands. *forgetful parent* With a click of a button you have the teacher at your fingertips. Easy app to use. I am not handy with apps or anything and this is easy to use. They have a “demo” class room to show you how to use the app. Thank goodness!! Teachers if your reading this, use it!! I will continue to use this.

So many bugs!. This app has so many bugs! Sometimes it force quits randomly and other times it doesn’t show messages parents have sent. Now it is not letting me upload any pictures at all and keeps giving me “upload has failed”. I am honestly so annoyed because this is supposed to be an app I use to communicate and and update parents and it’s making communication very difficult!

Glitchy AF. I paid the ransom to download pics ... now every time I try to d/l a pic, it says starting download, then the app crashes 3 seconds later.

Glitchy!. This app worked great last year but this year there has been soooooo many problems! Pictures constantly fail to upload, messages to and from parents are delayed by days, and posts often won’t work. I have tried using it both on my school network and personal data but they same problems occur on both. It’s becoming to much work and not easy and convenient to use.

Fantastic App!. This app is fantastic for keeping in touch with my daughters teacher! I just love it!

Greatest school app’s. It never fails always up 24/7

Great ap. I wish every teacher used this! It is a great way to communicate and see pictures of your child.

Love that I can keep up to date without creating too much interruption for the teacher!. I love that I can send me teacher a quick message instead of calling in to the school, and having the receptionist send the teacher a message. I also love how I can get quick updates and the teachers are able to send shared posts for the while class. We all collaborate and share. Makes you feel so included without having to be there :)

Won't open. App doesn't open.

Was good but not anymore. The app never stays signed in and now always pops up saying there is a problem with the database, kill the app then sign in again; only to not be able to sign in. Frustrating!

Great Communication tool. Love this app to be able to communicate with teachers, the principle and parents! Private or group messages! Really happy our school implemented this!

Love It!. Bloomz is wonderful and easy to use. Many of my student's parents aren't really involved in in what takes place at school so knowing that they've received a message is really important to me. The parents on my Bloomz class list seem to appreciate the versatility of Bloomz. They send me quick messages and we've been able to share pictures of field trips as well. Next year I'm going to find a parent who will update messages for me because I usually forget until after an event. I'm also going to be more proactive in my own use of Bloomz and try to get all my parents on board.

Good but. It’s amazing 😉 but it takes forever to load. Fix that then it’s peeeeerfect!!

Bloomz. This app is brutal!!! Needs work!!

Highly recommend to all teachers and parents. It has been great having used Bloomz for he last two years as a parent. I hope my child's Grade 2 teachers uses it as well! Great work Bloomz!

Barb. Really like the app. I only wish the teacher utilized it more.

Love Bloomz!!!. So easy to use! I love this platform for sharing what my students are doing with parents. I find it better than any other communication tool. They added the ability to post videos recently and now I couldn't ask for more!

Such a useful app!. I love this app! It’s so handy to keep in touch with my son’s teachers and other families in his class.

Love the sign up function. Letting parents sign themselves up for parent/teacher interviews was amazing. The posting/communication with parents has also been great. I would really like Bloomz to allow me to easily link parents email to their child’s portfolio. As it stands now, when I want to email a parent, I have a long list of email addresses to choose from - how am I supposed to remember each parents email address?

Wouldn't open once I downloaded it.. So for this user, USELESS. One star...only because I can't rate it 'Zero'.

Teachers and Parents LOVE this app!. I teach grade 2 and have used Bloomz for a couple years. It’s wonderful to share student learning this way. It also makes it very easy to communicate daily. I always find email threads hard to follow, but with Bloomz all communication is in one place and you can monitor when parents have read a message or viewed a post. The only feature that I wish it had is to be able to post assessment comments to several individual portfolios at the same time. Often students are grouped into similar ability levels and it is too time consuming to comment on each separately.

Awesome!. I love Bloomz as a parent and as a teacher! It's a safe place to share messages and photos rather than depending on social media.

Horrible UX & insecure. The UX layout is terrible confusing - trying to find where/why you have a notification is a process every time. My biggest gripe though is the fact that this app and its website does not use any encryption- it is child’s play to see what data is being sent or received from the app including my child’s information.

Very Glitchy. Rarely loads properly, very glitchy and often closes and I have to restart my phone to get it to work. This has happened on multiple phones.

Communication tool. It’s been a great experience when communicating with my son’s teacher!

No horizontal view with update. My app just updated but won't rotate to landscape view which is how I usually view it on my iPad. Please fix this

Everything all in one - from a mom. This app is so great. I wish I had more time to learn and play with all the features. But as a mom I I have great communication with the teacher from this app. I really loved when she invites you to a parent teacher interview how seamless it is to chooses a date and time, and how easy it was to reschedule a date and time. I did not have to interrupt her nor correspond back and forth via emails Bam! It was all right there. The teacher also hosted a classroom party, in the invited she made a list of what she needed from food to decorations to volunteers. And all we had to do as a parent was tap got it and that item was taken off the list. Again no copying and pasting and thousand emails to deal will. All child correspondence for school in 1 place. 1 App on my phone and when the teacher posts anything we get to see the red dot notification on the top of the App on phone. So we don’t miss a thing.

Clunky. Bloomz in theory offers a lot of great features. However, I often find it slow to load, or it loads without the information I need to do anything. Several times I have gone to give behavior points and my students just are not there in the app. It often has the red dot to alert me to a message, but when I log in there is nothing there. Or vice versa. I want to love this app, but it just isn’t seamless and I wish it operated smoothly.

From a Parent. I absolutely love this app!! My Daughters teacher uses it on a daily basis to keep all parents in the loop. Sharing photos of activities, sending clips to watch with our children to foster healthy communication and so many great ideas. I also love that you can directly get a hold of the teacher. It makes things so much more stream lined. Thank you Bloomz!! Keep growing!

Great way to know what’s going on at school. Great app - easy to stay in touch

Love this channel for daily communication with my son’s teacher. This has been such an easy and great tool for daily communication with my son’s teacher. She provides and update on Bloomz and I am alerted via email. It’s a quick click and I can read her summary from the school day. I can also message her via Bloomz and vice versa. This has been the best tool I have seen used by teachers throughout the years (they all do it differently).

Loving it!. This is the first year I’ve had a teacher of one of my kiddos use Bloomz, and I’m really loving it! I love that I can easily communicate with the other parents in the class, I love that I can post class party pictures on there and know that only the parents of the kids and teacher will have access to the pics (verses social media), and so far the app has worked flawlessly each time I’ve used it. Very happy user :)

I HATE this App!. I rarely use that word but cannot seem to find a more fitting way to describe my level of frustration. The pictures load incredibly slow, very hard to share, can’t be done very freely. Glitches are often and substantial and I DETEST the fact that parents have to pay money to get a snapshot of their kid’s’ activities during the school day. I for one have no problem paying if it was a good App (I have many paid apps on my phone). I’ve even considered offering to pay for my class’ families to have the app. But this thing is terrible! I don’t understand why the schools got away from the simplicity of a Facebook account. Simple, free and easily accessible! This is junk and someone is clearly making a mint and not through happy customers!

Constant Contact with Teachers. I really love this App. It allows me to get in contact with the teacher without having to set up a conference. I also get to see updates on things that are going on live in the classroom. It is a must have for parents who are leaving kids at school for the first time. Also the teachers also contact us when our child needs to have something for his classroom.

Latest update reset app and now I’m not connected.. The app worked again the next day so I updated the review. Seems back on track. Thanks. —— Worked fine until the latest update. Getting a message about the app to the developers is a pain. An app to aid in communication should be better at assisting with problems and how to resolve them. When I did finally log back in, none of the classroom information I had been linked to for the past 6 months is a available. Pretty frustrating.

Great tool - layout needs work. This has been a great tool as a parent. It makes it easy to connect with Other parents and get messages from the teacher. It’s also nice having all class documents saved in one spot. The mobile layout could use some work. Sometimes I can see that an update has happened but it’s hard to find what has been added in the app. I also wish I could save images the teacher shares in the app without having to switch to the desktop version. Overall, I have enjoyed using it.

Awesome. This app has given me the ability to keep in contact with my kids teacher and is easy to use. It also allows me to keep up with how my kid is doing in school and what school events are coming up. With recent events going on with the virus, this app has allowed me to keep up to date on what things my child needs to focus on before being able to return to school. I am very grateful for this app.

Great, but I wish there was more. Bloomz had been such an amazing way to communicate with my parents! I love that I can post all our class updates, create signups, show behavior, and post pictures all in one place. I just wish there were a few more features. For example, my students love their little monsters, but they disappear as soon as the student gets any more points! It should be cool to see their monsters level up, or something like that.

Love this app. I’m sure I’m not the only parent that’s not living with their child. So for me this is such a awesome addition and I so pleased with this app. Just the fact that I can keep up with what’s going on in my child’s class and the extra ways of seeing how they get things done, it’s just super awesome. I just wish all teachers would add this. I’m sure they will in the future. Thank you very much From a very happy parent. 😁

Life changer!. My 6 year old son has chronic PTSD. Staying intouch with his teacher about his behaviors is a big part of teaching him how to cope with it, and us learning when and what’s bothering him. Instead of having to call each other everyday, his teacher uses this app! I love it and hope his future teachers use it as well. It’s super easy to use, I stay completely updated with school events and such, pictures are posted to see what our kids are doing! I love it! I highly suggest to any teacher to get it!!!

Good App. I have used a couple different apps that teachers have had since my son has started school. My daughter didn’t have these options when she was in school. It’s a great way to stay connected, his teacher responds in a wonderful timely manner. She posts every week what she’s doing for the class. It’s nice to have the instant access. I love the apps and I have never had issues. I’m sure it all varies from teacher to teacher but so far I’ve had wonderful experiences :)

Where are the likes?. I find it very hard to see who likes or comments on the pictures within my posts. For some people the option to like a picture is greyed out so they cannot do it and when it does work and they manage to like a picture, I never get a notification. I have to manually check each single picture within the post and see if there is a like or comment and if there is I then have to click on the icon to see who it is. (Itinials would be nice because not everyone has a profile picture!) So tedious! Why can't all the likes appear on the main post? And why can't I choose to get notifications for them?

Great multifaceted way to communicate. My son’s Kindergarten teacher used this. It’s a great multifaceted way to communicate: posts, messages, and volunteer sign-ups all in one place! Plus, as a parent you don’t want to have this information buried and mixed in with other stuff, so this is easier to make sure you don’t miss anything. Now my daughter is is in K with the same teacher and we are using it again. I recommended it to the preschool they just graduated.

Efficient communication tool. I appreciate these parent to teacher apps. This is the first school year that I have used Bloomz but it appears to work as intended. The teacher is able to send out notifications and school updates as well as share pictures from class or field trips. I’ve also used the private message to send her notes or ask questions about my son directly. Great tool!

Last update messed it up. As a teacher and parent, I have had nothing but good things to say about this app, but after this last update I cannot use it on my phone. I am getting notifications, but cannot post anything new nor reply to anyone. I post everything from my laptop, but still can’t see anything new from my phone. I can only see posts on my classroom page and my son’s teacher’s page from before the update. It’s been saying on the computer version for about three days that they are having connectivity issues - why so long to fix it?!

I used to love it but now it’s too buggy. I’ve used Bloomz the last 2 years and I used to love it. However over the last month it has been so buggy it’s unusable too often. When it’s not working parents blame me (teacher) for not communicating with them and complain to the school like I’m the one being negligent. No thanks. Next year I’m going to classdojo instead-I don’t need the headache.

Love it. As a school social network at a private school, I really like how the app has helped create a shared sense of community for our classroom. Love that we can group chat with our teacher and both parents. And post to the class group. (I can only compare it to a public school experience where we used Classdojo, which didn’t allow comments, or group chats, and felt always like we were on the outside looking through a tiny window.).

Security and visibility concerns. Sometimes young developers forget that older people might be using their product. I can find no security settings to protect my privacy or that of my child. Nor, can I find any way that I can increase font size so that I can read what my child’s teacher is writing to me. Unfortunately, these two omissions make the App unusable for me. It would be nice, also, if there was a way to reach customer support so that small issues can be resolved in a less public forum. On the bright side, when they move to correct some of these items, this should be a great tool for teachers, schools, and parents. I look forward to seeing that and needing to change my rating of them.

Perfect for Communication!. In all of my years, this is the BEST way by far to keep parents updated on things going on in the classroom. With pretty much everyone having a Smartphone of some type, Bloomz makes it easy to send news info, pictures of things the kids are doing, planning parties (usually filled up in less than 24 hours!), sending quick messages to parents, and asking for supplies. It has made communicating with parents so much easier and more instant.

Best school App ever. This app is amazing! I’m kept in the loop with everything that’s going on at my daughter school. This means with teachers, other parents and events that are coming up. I’m able to contact the teachers directly and get it instant response. Also able to view photos of new events that I was on able to attend as I’m at working mother. I really don’t understand why every school doesn’t have this app. Five stars❤️❤️❤️

Slow and tons of issues. This app is really difficult to deal with!! Our school has had so many issues. One issue right now is that the bloomz app is translating the principals messages into other languages. But the list goes on. When transferring the parent database to the blooms app everything went down and we had no communication for over a week. All parent accounts did not transfer. It is a slow app. Every time you log in you have to wait a long time for the updated message to come up. It is not user friendly at all. It does limit and keep comments private which I appreciate. But I wish our school could use a different app. This one is just not great.

Great app!. My sons teacher uses this app to communicate with parents. She will post little updates and pictures everyday. So nice being able to keep up with what’s going on with your child daily when you cannot be with them. It’s also a great way for the school to send out reminders about upcoming school events. Makes it so easy to stay informed.

Slow and not always accurate.. I switched from Remind to Bloomz this year hoping that I could be more efficient in communicating with parents. I love all the functions the app provides, however; the app has downfalls. When I have created sign ups and then went back to change the details...I found out it never saved the changes. I’ve all tried to change/update a document that I have uploaded to find that that never changed. I’m also finding, as well as some of my parents, that the app is slow to relay messages and you don’t always get them right away. Please fix these problems.

I LOVE BLOOMZ!. I’m a grandmother of a 2nd grader. I joined Bloomz so I could keep up with my grandsons school life. I am in awe of this app - there is open communication with the teacher - daily messages from the Principal - parents can freely communicate with on another, sharing stories and photos! I WISH I had BLOOMZ when my daughters were growing up! Much more efficient than passing notes back and forth thru their book bags! LOL. I rated BLOOMZ Four stars, only because I know technology changes and improves so quickly - and I want to see them get better and better each year!

Unreliable. The high reviews are the strangest to read. This app has been unbelievably unreliable for years. As of today I can’t log in. I can’t view messages when I was in the app. I cannot view any updates or calendars. It goes on. I know how to troubleshoot. I’ve installed this app. Removed it. Refreshed my own new iPhone mine you I have 2tb of storage. Wifi. And still it’s trash. The support tells me “you on wifi”? It’s frustrating this is the only app the schools use. Time to look into something else. Parents in my child school all have issues. Stop lying on these reviews because it works SOMETIMES

Decent app. NO WAY to stop chat notifications. Please, allow the ability to stop notifications during the chat. I’d love to get notifications from my children’s teachers but I do not like to hear every single other parents comments, chatting, useless nonsense as a notification. I don’t need to know when everybody posts a little comment on something and I would love to only be able to single out when the teacher posts something. It’s becoming relentless which makes me want to turn notifications off completely.

Great app. I really like that my kids school uses Bloomz. The last school didn’t use any form of communication app and it was really hard to know what was happening. I like that I am always up to date on what is going on at school and I that I can easily contact their teachers and it is faster than using email or trying to get through on the phone when in a rush. It has been a great school year for this busy mom having bloomz to help me keep track of everything

Love the app mostly.... I really appreciate that Bloomz allows me the instant access to my sons teacher and the ability to stay in the know with school events and upcoming class happenings. However, I don’t like that more often than not it fails to load and it takes a few times of shutting the app down and reopening it for it to correct itself and load. Regardless of that small hiccup I enjoy and recommend more teachers and parents try implementing this in their class for communication.

Extremely Buggy. I tried just using the website and had so many issues. So I thought the app would be better. Wrong! Trying to get some volunteers lined up and what should have taken me 5 minutes has taken me over an hour. Error after error. So many bugs. Just trying to update the text on my Sign Up, was making me want to pull my hair out. When I replaced some text in the middle of the text field it notified me that my update was made (that was only after it didn’t the first few times and just took me to a blank screen), then it added the text to the end of the text string!! How did this possibly make it through testing?!

2+ Years of Use & Still Loving It. Bloomz keeps getting better and better. I love that I can put dates into our class calendar and have alerts remind the parents (and me most times!) The free version offers so much. The only downfall is that I’d love a premium account so that I wasn’t worried about going over the storage limits. May rolls around and I struggle posting information because I post pictures, newsletters, and videos constantly throughout the year.

Great idea. The notifications do not seem to work at all. I often won’t get a notification when I have a new message. When I do get a notification, it won’t clear or will keep coming back even after reviewing all the messages. Love the idea but it’s just so clunky to use. Hoping for updates the fix this. My schools teachers are using it to send important info throughout the day (not emergencies, but still) and I’m missing out on them until hours later because I don’t actually know when there’s a new message or if it’s just a notification not going away.

Perfect for Busy Teachers. I love this app! It is perfect for posting videos, announcements, reminders, fun things happening in class, etc. It is like Facebook, so all of my parents and I have found it easy to use. I love the conference feature!!! You post the days & times, and parents pick the slot that works best for them. You can invite a few parents or the whole class to conference with. I’ve spread the world to the whole school. Bloomz is the best!

Love it! ❤️. Bloomz is a great communication tool for teacher/parent. As well as classroom to classroom because I can share events with other teachers in my grade level as long as they are my friends on Bloomz. My parents love this app and it is very convenient when it comes to reminders, updates and especially parent-teacher conferences! Love it. It does have its hiccups but what app doesn’t now a days. I would definitely recommend to any educator.

Such a wonderful app. This is my 3rd year using Bloomz with my 1st grade class and I LOVE it!! It’s so easy to send a quick update or request a last minute item that I forgot we will need. Now that my school district is closed for at least a month I know Bloomz will be a lifesaver! I will be able to keep my parents updated with just a few clicks! The best part is that this is free!! Thank you Bloomz for making my job a little easier!

Love Bloomz. We are so grateful to have Bloomz and for our son’s teacher who chooses to send regular posts with pictures, reminders and school updates. Sending a three year old to school for the first some can be scary (more for us than him), but we are so comforted with updates from his teacher and photos that show him so happy, confident and involved. We love getting to be feel like we’re there with him even when he’s at school.

Great app but a lot of technical problems. I used class dojo before using Bloomz. This is my first year using it, and it has a lot of great features, like pinning posts to the top, requesting supplies, etc. But I feel like half of the time I’m using or trying to use this app, the messages won’t update. I get the notification for it, but it won’t actually show the message. It’s not once in a while that this happens... it’s very often and it’s hard to stay connected with parents if I’m not always using the desktop version. I prefer mobile, but this bug makes it tough.

Could use improvements. Not the most user friendly app. Layout could use a bit more work to make it easier for the eye to quickly distinguish between separate posts. Also, when I get a notification on the app that there’s something new. It would be nice if it opened directly to that new thing, whether it’s a comment, post, announcement, or message. But I have to search for it and when it’s a comment, it could be a while to find it through all the posts.

Up and coming but work needed. This app/website is amazing for parent communication, student work, sharing pictures, and I love the sign up section! My class uses it, as well as PTO, so it makes it easier for everyone. But the app needs a little work. It needs to be updated for speed on refreshing the page and notifications. Sometimes the notifications go through, and most of the time they do not. Another notification issue is when the notification is read, the notification signal does not go away. Love it, but needs work.

Disappointed in Changes. I’ve been a devoted Bloomz user for 6 or 7 years. My parent absolutely love the platform, and it’s so easy to use. My school has decided to go with one communication app, and I used my powers of persuasion to get my whole campus on board to use Bloomz. During my presentation to get teachers started this week, we realized that Bloomz has revamped and no longer allows for multiple classrooms unless we pay for the premium or campus membership. I’m very disappointed with these changes. While upgrading after the teachers fell in love with it could have been an option, paying for something they don’t know about isn’t. Not cool Bloomz.

A+ from mom!. This is the second year we’ve used Bloomz to communicate with Teachers. I’m hoping that next year we will be lucky to use it again. I wish all teachers knew about this app! I love seeing pictures, being able to get info on my phone, sign up to help in my kids class, or send teachers message all in one spot. If you’re a teacher definitely download this app, the parents will love you for it!

It’s Wonderful!. We use Bloomz schoolwide, and aside from helping to increase parent/teacher communication, it’s a life saver for parent conference sign-up. Parents with multiple children can sign-up with close times and all parents can see available slot times. It allows parents to pick their time so you don’t have to. You know it’s a safe place to share pics with families and what you are teaching. I can’t say enough about it. It’s wonderful!!!!!

Really liking overall so far.... I do wish there were a way to create different types of awards in addition to behaviors. It would be nice to be able to let my parents know how students are doing at completing different school goals/assignments in an easy way like the behaviours, but not have those things be connected to behaviors. 😉 Also I get the notification message and nothing is there like other reviews, and I always update my app. Overall I really like Bloomz. 😊

Absolutely terrible.. I have used many school apps. Remind, class dojo,Kaymbu, class tag and I’m sure more. Never an issue with those. This one has been a headache! Our entire school is having issues! The most annoying part of it is every time people join for the grade, it shows up under the feed. So if I scroll the feed it’s big icons saying new member and I have to search for any info from the teacher. It also always says “please wait” and loads forever. Today it kicked everyone from the school out of their classrooms and we all need to re join. Just a terrible app! Even if it worked properly messy, and just awful.

Top notch way to communicate with ANYONE, especially parents!. I love this app! It is a great way to communicate with my parents, ask for volunteers, sign up for events, create a calendar, create reminds, etc. I love that it doesn’t limit my characters like the one I used before and that I can upload as many photos as I would like without sending multiple texts. Parents can see what the students are doing when I post classroom pics, can chat or text if they have a question, etc. FANTASTIC APP!!!!

Many years. I first have to say I love this app. All the features is absolutely perfect for my classroom. I have used it over the years and is my go to. Sense COVID though there is some major kinks work out. It freezes allot. Last year my whole class was deleted then lost my conference times. Started new class this year and struggling sending messages. I get it. It gives notifications that they are working on it. It’s just hard because allot of families use this has a main communication and refuse to answer phone calls.

Bloomz. This app is amazing you can get information early on different months that’s not here yet so if you work they telling you early that there’s programs coming soon and I just seen that and I think that’s awesome 👏 This app is a plus for the community to have that allow you to communicate with the teacher and see what y’all child is doing in school so this app is worth having I recommend this app for parents or guardians to have for their kids/child so you can see what your kids teachers have posted on this app and you can view it anytime you on it

What a GREAT communication tool!. I love this app, and so do the parents of the students in my class. I am a first year teacher, and this app has made communication with families easy for me! I love being able to contact them in a quick and easy way, and they love seeing pictures of their kiddos and the work they do. The kids really enjoy the behavior points and I have woven those points into a reward system in my class. I would highly recommend Bloomz!

Still needs a LOT of work!!!. I echo the 11/15 review by purrfectrek!!!, most specifically the notification issue. I am to the point where I want to turn my notifications completely off because more times than not I can’t find why I’m being notified. OR, I’m being notified because 100 other parents are making comments on something that doesn’t pertain to me and I have no desire to follow. I wish our school had not jumped on this app without more testing. Unfortunately, this is the only means of communication for us so I must live with it AND struggle through notifications/badges to find the things that I need to know. PLEASE FIX!!!

It has been very successful. I just started using it as a teacher this year! I LOVE IT! Instead of digging through emails, I get an instant notification and I can message a parent right back! Parents are loving it too! I can set up parent teacher conferences, send a sign up for needs in the class, send pics privately. The only request I have is that if you have departmentalized classes you can’t set up the conferences on the same days. That would be helpful if that could be fixed, but other than that thank you for making this app and making my life easier!

Love the platform, app has issues. Our daughter’s new daycare uses bloomz and I love the platform. It is great for updates about the day and communication among parents. The reason for the mediocre review is that the iOS app is a glitchy. Reading messages is a mess, with the message list moving up and down causing opening of wrong messages. I recently had the open profile functionality hang. The app is not very responsive whenever it is retrieving data from the cloud. The app is good enough to recommend the service, but it isn’t good enough for a 4 star review.
