SwampWitch. This app is a tribute to the Mother. An almanac that is enjoyable and accurate, yet simple to use concerning basic and interesting almanac features. From the sky to the earth, it is fun and easy to use. I have always used the Farmers Almanac but this app is much more user friendly. The updates are not just bug fixes, but true app expansions that offer creative and intricate improvements. It is my go to for all seasons. The latest upgrade (free) is related to planetary and star constellations and is a incredible work to behold. It can not replace my more advanced astrology apps, but a treasure nonetheless. Fun for the experienced to the beginner. Enjoy the seasons!

New user. I LOVE this! It's exactly what I was looking for and more. I wanted several things, 1stly a lunar / solar calendar. I almost got a hunting calendar because it had that with great reviews. I live in an extremely rural area and was raised with the old ways. I grew up using almanacs for their ephemerides. While I was simply looking for the solar / lunar, this has that along with ephemerides, updated weather, articles like the old farmer's almanac would have and a TON more. I'm plannimg on using it for star-gazimg, too, as that is in there. I was a little iffy on whether to get it but I'm glad I did now. I have placed the app right next to FB on my home screen 1st page, if that tells you anything! If I run into issues, I'll update but this was well worth $2 for me to have a constantly updating 'farmer's almanac' in hand.

Correction. There used to be a way to contact Tod. Apparently, no longer. There is a major error in the 2018 Jewish Calendar re dates. Need to check and change. Thank you. Still no response or correction re Jewish holidays. I am extremely disappointed at lack of any answer.

Reliable so far. My grandfather was a farmer and always had an almanac close by. This is the updated version, but the layout (once you get used to the symbols) is straight forward-ish. They could improve the opening screens, rather than just a huge empty space and make the links more engaging, but I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for after I reacquaint myself with the layout. Happy with the purchase.

Christian Holidays. Please check these. They repeat all year all. Example: Palm Sunday is not in June, etc

A major flaw. Jewish holiday dates are all incorrect.

Much more than most!. This app has so many great features and wonderful information! Just wish it could go off of my exact current location rather closest city.

Excellent (except one thing). Great app. So much information! More than it appears at first glance. If I could add annual moon phases to Favorites it would be much better! And a search would be nice, to find sections more quickly. Other than that, amazingly useful! Oh, also didn't see a way to leave feedback without leaving a review.

Interesting app. I like the information but having a challenge adding some items to my favorites. Moon phases shows on the list but doesn't display on the favorites screen and the hurricane scale displays heat index instead. Otherwise great app could easily be a 5 ‼️

It's okay.... My intent of this application is basically for redundancy and averaging. As an example I normally use several weather apps (minimum three) from different sources, then take an average of what the weather could potentially be. My intent was to do the same specifically for the weather almanac feature to best understand what the weather could be historically. Keep in mind, there is no exact science when it comes to predictability, so I am not judging this app on this. * The application looks nice, but it's truoly a nice ported web interface design. The advantage is it's clean and easy to read, but the disadvantage is it's not good for power users who want a lot of information and quick navigation to get the data they need. * The content is by far the "most off" of my two other weather almanacs I use, but that's the reason I have it. I need to get averages, so this is good. * I do not like how you are either locked-in to their geo-location option or manual option. It should have an easy access "geolocate" me button like any other application out there. Also, the database of locations is restriced/limited to major cities only, which is a big shortcomming for me. I need to know by the city-level their recordered weather, not by the next major city, as any geological formations like foothills or bluffs can make difference. Overall, this is an okay application, but the interface could be cleaned up or have better configurations to best customize for an individual. The data is questionable, but still usable (note: I have only been able to test the weather and not any other features). The location search with automatic and manual options is archaic and should be updated. It's not worth price/value for what you get. I would think this would be more of a 99¢ app. That being said, I do not use this as a primary resource and used for averaging from differenct sources. I would not recommend this as a primary application and you would be better served with more sophiscated, customizable applciations and/or websites that do exactly the same thing. As stated, this "okay", but not recommended.

Everything at once. This app is everything I've ever wanted and everything I've ever needed on my phone. I've been waiting for an app like this since I got my first phone 7 years ago and here it is, more beautiful, useful, and skillfully woven together than I could have ever imagined. If I could define an app as perfect this would be it. Thank you to the creators of this app for putting this beautiful work of art on the market, I love it to death and wish I could give it a billion more stars in ratings as it deserves more than 5.

7 day weather forecast no longer working. I love this app but I can no longer get the 7 day weather forecast. It tells me that I need to be connected to the internet (I am).

Outstanding!. Regardless of how one chooses to perambulate this app; it's got a smooth user-interface, and is absolutely loaded with content. Armchair Astronomers? You've got to have this app!!!!!!!

All at the touch of a button!. I LOVE this app! It's full of information that keeps you in touch with everything from sunrise times, astronomical events, weather, gardening tips to entertaining pithy quotes. Best thing--as with that time-honored paperback almanac we all know, it somehow creates a little continuum between simpler times and the present...and without any strange ads for trusses or toe-trainers. Hours of useful entertainment. If I could keep only one app, this would be the one.

American Almanac. This is a good app, however to be awesome it needs to add NEW MOON RISE in hours and minutes. Thanks

Disappointed. Just purchased this app and opened it up to find 2/3 of the page trying to sell me a game app😳 Can’t find a setting to remove the pitch to the game app. Very disappointed. Not what I expected.

Very good, needs one improvement. This is one of the most useful apps to come along in a long time, and I am enjoying it immensely. There is one improvement, however, that in my view would make it a five-star app. Under Christian religious holidays, the app provides the dates of most holidays observed by Protestants and Catholics. It would be great if it could include Orthodox Christian holidays. At the very least, providing the date for Pascha, or “Orthodox Easter,” would be very helpful. Keep up the good work!

Problem. Awesome app. I look everyday. However my weather no longer loads for a while now! Please fix.

Needs a static calendar. What would make this perfect is a static calendar that could be integrated with the iPhone calendar for scheduling appointments Even without integration a static calendar would make it more like a almanac with forecast that predict future weather and agricultural dates What my definition of static is a month view of dates and significant dates associated with each day. The present form is just daily view not monthly. The app doesn't respond 20% of the time and sort of just ignores commands.

best weather app out there. I have used 3 other weather apps out there and for me this has been the most accurate of them all. plus it has a lot of good and interesting weather facts and cool historical information too. His new feature in the astronomy section...the naked eye is pretty cool too...you can walk out your front door and know exactly where to look for constellations. Overall, this is my "go-to" weather app for the weather forecast and just playing around too. Also he is very quick to respond to issues that you may have. I have 0 negative things to say about this app.

A true gem of an app!. When I was a kid I loved paging through the Old Farmers Almanac astronomy and weather sections as well as discovering the plethora of other information it offered. This app brings back all that fun and multiplies it exponentially due to it's electronic format, beautiful design and presentation. And did I mention it just plain fun?

Love this app. I love this app. There is so much information, it really has everything. It's also nice to feel a connection to nature through my phone, to be able to check tide times, stars, the full moon, sun set, sunrise etc it's great for when I'm traveling. When I have a garden I look forward to using the tips for which produce to grow at what time of year. Great app and glad I bought the full version :)

5STARS‼️. Any one that would give less than 5 stars, while saying keep up the good work, leaves me baffled. This is an awesome app ‼️ No Matter where you look- if you look hard enough, you can find something wrong with any thing ‼️ The lord has given us all room for improvement, BUT, we can still be a 5 star on the move ‼️ Thank you very much for such useful app AND one that is pleasant and safe to use ‼️

Wonderful. Like the Old Farmers Almanac!

Incredible app, but.... Although this almanac app pays little mind to astrological mysticism, which I appreciate, it still lists the signs and dates of the traditional twelve constellations of the zodiac. I don't mind that the zodiac is mentioned, as it is interesting to know which constellation the sun appears to lie on a given date. However, the dates provided are inconsistent with current astronomical data. I would be impressed if the creator would provide the actual information concerning the zodiacal constellations. I would rid this otherwise excellent app of its only apparent blemish.

Location needed, why?. There is no explanation for this and if there is one in-app, I’m not able to get to it without enabling location services. I don’t like to turn it on unless there is a good reason. If the app needs to look up info based on location, can’t we enter that info in manually? I like to look up info about other places too anyway. I know it’s kind of over the top to give this a one star because of that one reason, but this tiny thing is literally keeping me from checking out the rest of the app. As in, the pop-up won’t go away unless I have location services enabled.

Hard to use, limited locations. This app is terrible! It’s hard to use, the interface is terrible, and it doesn’t have a lot of location options. So unless you only want to see big cities, it’s worthless. I downloaded this for the weather forecasting feature and this feature is terrible. It gives you a range of temperatures which I feel is worthless. I wanted an app that gave a more decent forecast not something that just gave a wide ranging guess at the weather. Totally worthless, it got deleted right away.

Stunning and simple. Easy to navigate, well designed layouts without all the glitching, bells and whistles of most apps. Night mode is a brilliant red on black for evening star gazing. This app feels like the most cozy 2010’s webpage. Great contemporary kitchen cheat sheets. My favorite feature — Cherokee and Colonial American Moon Names! I will never forget to harvest hickory nuts again. Thank you, Tod!

So much information, in one App !!!. I think the only thing it doesn’t have is nagging! This app covers so much about weather, astronomy, history, folklore, and more! It is one of my top ‘go to’ apps. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this wonderful program!

Fantastic App for Astronomy Info. Have been looking for an app like this for some time. This developer is fantastic and super responsive. Don't know where he gets his energy and enthusiasm. Everything you want to know about astronomy and calendars! Well worth the money. New version has a daily ephemeris that can be copied or sent. very useful! Developer is very quick to respond to suggestions and questions. The latest version is a major update! it includes a yearly listing of moon phases (Moon Grid); an Analemma page; improvements to Ephemerides; and iPad horizontal view. This app keeps getting better & better, The developer could have charged for this update but didn’t!

Not worth it. It's a completely basic app. There's nothing on it you can't google. The horoscope says "the stars and planets will not effect your life in any way"(for every sign) its cheep looking and they offer you to be a part of a "beta test" for a new game, Don't do it!! I was spammed with 30 phone calls from crap adverts! There is on good thing about it, the planting calendar for your zone. If it was free I would give it 4 stars.

It works. The title says it all. Although I wish the plant list had a lot more plants. And as someone who wants to grow weird exotic plants I don't have any where to get the information. It works as is

Awesomely awesome. Beyond the boundaries of time is this awesome app from a very dedicated individual who takes pride in his app and all that it involves. No need to worry about a app that never gets updates or just exist to take up space. I can’t recall how long I’ve had this app but it is always here and always updates. The design and information is a valuable asset to have if only for general knowledge. I have learned a lot about things I never knew or just took for granted. The boundaries of information are unlimited and I would never hesitate to pay for the updates if needed. Thank you

Everyday useful with consistent innovative additions to the site. Of all the apps I use, this is one of my favorites. It is constantly updated, and has practical information all bundled into a easy to read and accessible. Whether its weather, time, history, celestial, geography, current events, its all interesting to follow. What I find amazing is how dedicated the developer is to adding new material that is always seamless in navigating the site. I travel frequently, and it seems in the smallest of towns, it comes up with the correct name, and data relevant to that geographic point. Well done!

Wish you could set multiple locations. I use this primarily for weather as someone who works in agriculture, but I wish you could set different locations to be able to check the weather forecast both for home and work or other places. I also wish there were more options for specific cities--the closest option to me is actually 25 miles away. It's still quite accurate, but as a weather app I wish it was a little more functional. Definitely more accurate than weather channel though!

More Than Five Stars, Please.. This is an astonishingly exact, perfectly designed, stuffed full of useful information app. It deserves not 5 stars, but a constellation. The layout, design and detail are incredible. The links to related facts and information makes this little app a library of practical knowledge. I thank the creator of this app for letting us walk around inside his head. Amazing.

Great Almanac!. I use this app for all kinds of things, including researching past weather trends and forecasting future weather. It has tons of other information as well, such as planting advice and temperature zones. Great app!

So nice!. It's amazing how wonderful an almanac is to get your weather. It's as nice and clean and accurate as any of the other more flashy apps, but much more common sense and down to earth, so to speak. With forecasts and tide charts and sun, moon, planets, Planting times, and all this other cool info. It's the almanac for the 21st century!

Stellar app. The only problem I have is that if I miss a day, I can't go back to see what I missed. I like reading what happened on a particular day in history, etc. and it doesn't let me go back to a different day. I almost gave only four stars because of that.

Love this app!. Hi Tod! Your app reminds me of listening to my grandmother and great-grandmother using old sayings and weather lore that was passed down. My grandmother taught me how to use the zodiac signs for gardening, and I like having all the information that you have in the app.

Basic, Not In Depth, Not Dynamic. This app is improving rapidly. The information that updates daily is increasing, such as moon phase, sunrise data, number of days left in the year, tides, basic forecast, etc. It is simple, easy to navigate, informative, and accurate. 4-plus stars with room for improvement because the author is constantly working on it.

Spent way too much on this app.... ... And it was completely not what I expected ;( I'm a photographer and I wanted to be able to use the weather part to predict the best times to go shooting. Unfortunately the weather part of this app is confusing and very minimal. I have better luck using the free weather app that came with the iphone. Ugh. Very disappointed.

Love the Farmer's Almanac. Since I was a child we had the paper back version in our home. My grandfather (who was born in 1899) used it faithfully until 3 months before going to sleep in The Lord. I am so happy I found this app.... Now I can share it with my grand kids like it was shared with me for years. Thank you!!!!

Tod's Almanac App. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of this app. I've been a big fan of The Old Farmer's Almanac (book form, of course) for many years and an almanac app? Really? I think Tod ('Old Tod'?) has done a pretty credible job with both format and content. Tod updates the app fairly regularly; I really appreciate this aspect of it. Go Tod!

Great App. I only write reviews for exceptionally good or exceptionally terrible apps. This app and it's creator are exceptionally great. The most recent update adding a ton of stuff and there are plans to add even more. I took the time to email the creator with some suggestions and he took the time to respond with his thoughts. This project is really a labor of love. Apps like that are really the best kind getting the care and attention they deserve because someone wants to be doing it. Feel good in spending the money on this app knowing you'll get more then your monies worth while supporting the creator in the process.

Great App. Loads of information available at your fingertips. I got it as an almanac for gardening info, but have found the star, planet & constellation guides to be of more interest to me. Full of all kinds of interesting arcana. Great job. Definitely worth it

A plethora of useful info!. Initially I wanted the weather with sunrise and moonrise (which it does well!), but exploring the many other features has been enlightening and educational! Consider the many calendars, and diverse holidays each year! How about how Japanese consider some days to be unlucky, or more fortuitous than others. I love the insights!

Buy this app!. Like a previous reviewer, I never write reviews, but I had to. I love this app! Full of trivial information, and factoids, it will provide hours of entertainment. As a kid, I would pore over the printed version. I know it's not the "actual" one, but it sure comes close. Buy this app, you won't be disappointed!

SOMETIMES YA JUST NEED TO KNOW. There are times when you just want to know if it's a full moon out there! This app gives you phases of the moon and so much more. I'm very pleased with this app and I recommend it to everyone. I keep it in the folder where I put all my weather related apps.

Best Almanac!. This is such a great app! Best $1.99 I've spent in a long time. It's accurate, easy to navigate through, informative and full of useful everyday information. Lovely to look at, delightful to use. Well done. More stylish than the Almanac while keeping the folksy charm. Very useful. This is the kind of thing smartphones should have been made for. I'm a micro urban farmer and I consult it at least once a day while standing around in the yard.

Useful App. This is a really nice and simple app to use. The information is useful and it never seems to be buggy. My only negative comment is that the developer(s) need to check their spelling a bit more. They have misspelled several people's names in the "Birthdays of Prominent People" section.

Wonderful Digital Almanac. As a longtime fan of paper paper almanacs, this was my first digital one. You get a daily view with all sorts of useful and interesting information that is well-organized on various screens. And it is has a genuine almanac look and feel that is very appealing.

I Start My Day With This!. Great app! So accurate! Love the graphics- it gives you that "almanac" "old timey" feel, yet is so up to date with our electronics age! Great information at your fingertips for the day's weather, the planets, moon cycles.. It's a wonderful app!

One of the most useful apps on my iPad. I use this app more consistently than most on my iPad, checking sunrise and sunset times, moon phases etc. Over time, Tod has added lots of additional features, but the basics have been there all along.
