love this app!. I've subscribed to their 'all included' offer and have found myself spending at least an hour a day learning Hebrew, and more importantly - enjoying doing so! Learn Hebrew. This is a great app for learning Hebrew in this great way. The interactive audio helps internalize the language and you also have games and tools to help with grammar and vocabulary.

Tremendous. I love this learning program.

Good app. I like the choices for showing the vowels or not, male or female speaker, showing or not showing transliteration, and speed. I like the Jewish prayers section along with the conversation because many programs have one but not the other.

Truly an excellent app. It is a beautifully put together, organized, friendly, comprehensive, and effective app. I would recommend memorizing the Hebrew alphabet before you start. They will help you with rest!!!

Amazing!!. This is by all means the best language app I've ever encountered. It is simply the only app I know that's teaching actual language, culture, accents and even grammar in such a thorough manner and not by just being another phrasebook, like other apps I've come across. This program conveys a clearer, more methodical learning process that really teaches you how to speak Hebrew! The app works smoothly and with no technical issues whatsoever. I hope this is something that others may learn from.

What I was looking for. I learned to read Basic Hebrew through taking a course. Once I could read with the nikkud, I looked for an app to help me practice my reading and expand my vocabulary so I could learn Hebrew better. This App is wonderful. I like how I can do the reading lessons and eliminate the transliteration and how to say it so I could practice it myself without cheating. When you press on the words they say the word slowly and clearly first, the English translation, and then they say it normally so you can repeat it and memorize it.

Good Info; Poor app. I just upgraded to the iPhone 6, and I have the latest software version. This app did not work well on my iPhone 5, and it doesn't work any better on the 6. It's slow and glitchy.

Default to Female?. Love the app, but like prior comments it’d be appreciated if I, as a course purchaser, could make the default speaker female. Kind of a hassle having to do it over and over and over…

Love it. I have used this app to go from understanding little to no Hebrew, to being able to understand a lot and even occasionally open my mouth. If you are willing to work hard with this app it can be an amazing tool to improve. The subscription seems pricey, but the value that you get for the money is amazing. If you are will to spend thousands of NIS on an ulpan, you shouldn't hesitate to drop the few hundred on this. My Hebrew has improved immensely because of it. Highly recommended.

Hebrew You. If you don't know how to read or speak Hebrew this app is just what you need to identify and be able to sound each letter appropriately. Once you learn that, this app provides multiple interesting conversations to hear and read a long as well as giving you the option to stop between each phrase and sound aloud the Hebrew conversation so that you can add this dialect to your life. Don't worry about the speakers speed of pronunciation because there is even a helpful tool for slow, medium, or fast without loosing the clarity of the speakers native tongue. If your looking for this holy tongue to be used in prayer, this app is also great. There are numerous prayers with background and scripture reference to each one. Sped up, or slow down and connect to who Adonai created you to be.

Good app to accompany a great language course. The app is good and handy in and of itself, but the real value is the course that u can subscribe to. The instructors are phenomenal teachers and very engaging. U can download the lessons onto your pc with pdf files of the transcripts and grammar explanantions.

So far the most useful and easy to learn app for Hebrew. I reviewed many apps and services and Learn Hebrew Pos I find the most useful and productive app. It is wisely spent money and time. Thank you very much!

Outdated with bugs. The app has a few bugs causing audio to not work. Also not optimized to work on newer ios devices. Last update was year and half ago. Optimize and fix the bugs and ill give it a 5 star!

Mostly great minus the sexism. It wonderful. Best I’ve come across. somebody should design other language jobs like this. However, I really failed to understand why I can’t, as a female subscriber, make the feminine voice my default voice. I shouldn’t have to change it back to a female voice every time I use it or even change a setting. that’s not building a wall around the Torah it’s building a wall around the *great unwashed*🙄

Quickly : A word of praise for this app. I have little time and I have never reviewed before any app -- pretty sure -- but this one is in so many ways charming and helpful and fun. Stellar. LearnHebrewPod is an amazing opportunity to affectively learn Hebrew. The podcast style of learning is excellent in that it forces you to listen to the language and not rely on the reading/writing components that are taught in the traditional classroom setting. I also find that the podcast format is a great use of time as you can listen in the car or at the gym!

The best. At my 70 I didn't see anything better. Lucky are our children that get to use this app.

A great way to learn. My daughters & I are on varying levels of proficiency when it comes to Hebrew prayers & this app fits the bill for my whole family. It's one of the few apps that include the Hebrew, the transliteration and the English. The flexibility of what is displayed & the recording is perfect for developing an understanding of the prayers, how to actually read them and is exactly the preparation my girls need for their b'nei mitzvah. It also gives me a chance to explore the prayers & learn at my own pace.

Best Hebrew app so far. I've been very happy with the app so far. As someone who lived in Israel, I can fully appreciate the authentic pronunciation (the way they actually speak in Israel, not the weird American version :) I like the way everything is structured, and I'm extremely happy with their customer service. A few support requests I logged so far have been handled promptly, efficiently, and courteously. My kid has been using LHP for quite a while, and it seems to have been a great help to her at school. Our Hebrew teacher cannot stress it enough how happy she is with our kid's spoken ability. In some sense, the app may be still work in progress, but from where I sit, even in its current shape it's a great asset to a person learning conversational Hebrew. Overall, an app with great potential. I look forward to further developments and more content!

Good App. I started out with some knowledge of Hebrew but still learned new vocabulary from the first lesson. My only complaint is that it goes a bit too slowly with too much time after a word or phase is spoken.

Great app!. I am currently learning Hebrew in a Ulpan in nyc and this is a great supplement. In fact it would be sufficient if you did it alone. I love how they keep building on existing material and explain the little details. BTW you can use it as a dictation tool later to practice your spelling.

Exceptional. This is the only tool that pronounces each word slowly and clearly so you know exactly how to say it. Unlike all others that say the words at a faster pace and you don't hear all the sounds like you do in this app. I highly recommend it.

Great app👍. I am enlisting in the IDF in a couple months and started this program knowing a couple basic elements of Hebrew. I am thoroughly impressed with learn Hebrew pod because it always surprises me how I learn something new each lesson even if I knew some of the words already. Unlike most language apps that just teach you a word bank/ vocabulary, learn Hebrew pod breaks down all the grammar including the suffixes and prefixes to words and why exactly they are added. With each lesson I gain more confidence that I will be able to learn another language- specifically the one I need for moving to Israel and being in the army. Highly recommend!!! I started with beginners first steps and finished in a couple days.. now I am on lesson 15 ( doing a lesson a day) and I can feel myself comprehending more and more each day and now even being able to form sentences combining what I have learned through each lesson. Also with a subscription to the program, it works with both the iPhone and computer so I switch off how I learn depending on where I am. I use the app when I am driving in the car and it is great for long drives. Anyways- great app! And the voices are lovely and pleasant and completely understandable.

Works for me. As a senior learner,this app allows the repetition that helps me retain what I learn. And it is fun. This could be a model for other learning apps

Love this App. This is an excellent online language program, and very convenient!

Perfect structure. At the university, I've studied four languages. I know what learning format I find the most effective. This is the first "at home" lesson method I have used and stuck with, in learning a language. It is amazing. The only reason I gave it a four star is my IOS version seems to randomly "forget" and several minutes later "remember" my subscription, even though I am logged in the entire time. I'll try to listen to a section and the app will report I must be a subcriber, yet not only am I a subscriber but I haven't logged out and just had a flawless lesson the minute before.

It works. I tried other courses and this is the one I'm sticking with. I'm on lesson 10 now. I especially like that the first lesson is free, the next few are available as a trial and then you can decide on the whole course. Their confidence in themselves is justified.

Doesn't Work. The content is wonderful. However, I tried the first conversation lesson and thought I would check out the PDF of the conversation. I cannot navigate back to the main menu. I am stuck in the PDF, with no way back to the main page the APP is no longer of any value. I want my money back.

Beautifully Done. I have been through ulpons in Tel Aviv and this would have been extremely helpful during that time. Great app.

GreatTool for Learning. I am only in the beginning stages of learning but am enjoying this well crafted app. I would recommend using the beginner package for a month to get familiar with the layout of the lessons and all of the switches you can turn on or off for the reading lessons. It would be great if one could bookmark where one left off in a lesson. I will probably purchase the entire package once I've mastered the introductory lessons.

Advanced quicker and further than I ever expected! So thankful for this app. The gradual increase in difficulty and wide range of subject matter is absolutely brilliant as is the conversational style of the dialogues and frequent use of newly learned vocabulary allowing me to pick up words without forcing them into my brain through rote memorization. I don’t write reviews but this was worth my time to write

The best online course.. by John, 22nd August 2014 Scouted online for a hebrew course for some weeks and finally settled on this one. I have never regretted. An excellent course! It is worth every Dollar spent.

Amazing App With Some Updates Needed. This app is a blessing! I found it through Apple Podcast and loved being able to listen and practice speaking on my drive to school/work, as well as when I’m walking around. I am currently doing a “1 month trial” of beginner steps and will probably purchase all 3 levels through the website. They are super simple and straight-forward. What is missing, and that which would make a difference, is for the audio to be set up like Apple Podcast where you can move forward or backwards 10 seconds and pause/control that when the screen is locked (like with iTunes or iPodcast). This would be much more user-friendly. The UX/UI could definitely use an update (both app and desktop) because it feels slightly lower quality and loads super slow. Hopefully you get more money to make these changes, as the audio lessons are super great quality and easy-to-follow. I have yet to try the writing pieces.

At my pace -. My schedule with family and other responsibilities dictate that I have to be able to move along at my own pace. This allows me to do just that. If you are tempted to skip a lesson because of the topic, don't. It will include vocabulary that you will need. I am a Gentile Christian, so, yes, this is for anybody and everybody who wishes they could read and understand the Tanakh and to speak Hebrew.

Great app. Great app and great program to learn Hebrew. Suggestion is to be able to leave book mark at stopping points to be able to go straight there again and a way to mark off lessons or verbs etc that have been completed.

Learning Hebrew Easy. Really enjoyable and fun

Comprehensive training app. There is no better language training app for Hebrew than LHPod!!!! this app starts simple but is comprehensive. It teaches pronunciation, grammar, speaking, reading and writing. But it doesn't rest there. Once you have a few basic skills there are extras like games, vocab lists and more. Best of all, you get to know the three characters and although you will probably never meet them, you feel as if you do. They intersperse the teaching with humor and lots of new words, milot chadashim, which reinforces the learning. I love (ohev) this app, because I can listen to it when I am driving, study the words when I am sitting and play the games if I were ever to be bored! I have been studying Hebrew for a few years and this is truly the most comprehensive all round app I have ever used! Well done guys.

Dr Tony. EXCELLENT PROGRAM I started to learn to speak Hebrew at the age of seventy. A daunting task, and one that frustrated me until I discovered Hebrew Pod. After stumbling through books, tapes, ulpan etc., my progress with Hebrew Pod has been very good and a lot of fun. Highly professional and excellent teaching system.

Excellent learning tool. Fantastic language program. I’ve been using the LHP app for several months now and can’t say enough good things about it. The multiple ways of learning (listening, watching, reading) and range of exercises offered with each lesson are so well thought out, organized and presented and my comprehension and conversational skills continue to improve - at a pace I can handle (and faster as lessons advance). So glad I discovered these podcasts - many thanks to Jonathan and his team for making them available.

Complete scam, don’t waste your money.. I repeatedly was promoted to purchase a paid membership — even after I paid. There is no customer service to speak of. The app is a piece of garbage.

A Must. If you are really serious about learning Hebrew, look no further, this app besides being top notch it has been made with one thing in mind,"to truly teach Hebrew ", I've tried many apps before this one, but this one take the crown, my goal was to learn to read Hebrew as soon as I can, and I can tell you, I am at lesson 23rd and I am reading the Torah, something I've thought will take me months to do, the pleasure that gives me to do that is amazing that I have no words to describe it. All the possible examples have been done for you. And the guy who reads the prayers is so crystal clear that is amazing just to hear. But don't take My word for it. It's A Bad App. They do try to rope you in so a person can purchase from them. I am going to take the app out because it isn't that good.

Great potential. This is one of the best Hebrew apps I've tried. Although not yet perfect (see below), I love it. Pro's: English, Hebrew, *and* transliteration, broken into phrases with the option of continuous play audio by an Israeli speaker (no weird accents 😉). English and transliteration are on the opposite side of the Hebrew so you can sound out the Hebrew first and not become dependent upon transliteration. (I love how organized it is.) Options include male or female voice, with or without nikud (vowels), 3 font sizes, and audio in 3 speeds! (Have I mentioned I love this program?) This app has liturgy (Jewish prayers) which is the module I purchased, not the speaking Hebrew module (yet). There's introduction to the prayer, the written prayer with audio, and even vocabulary options. It's very well organized and clear, easy to understand. I have several siddur and Hebrew learning apps. HLP is beyond all of them from my perspective, a non Hebrew speaker. Cons: it is a little buggy and has crashed a time or two, some things aren't intuitive, and, all of the prayers aren't yet available, so I'm hoping they don't take a long time to add them, or charge me more when they're added. What I'd like to see in future update: 1. The order of prayers as they come in the siddur (some are some aren't). 2. More melodies included 3. All prayers included. Finally, although it needs a few updates I'm so impressed with LHP and hopeful there will be updates soon to stabilize further.

best app for learning. i just re downloaded this app to brush up on my hebrew. Their website, app, and youtube videos are always the best and most helpful out of all other companies. I haven't used the app in awhile but it was always great when i did use it
