Excellent VPN!. This app does what it’s supposed to do and works like a charm while doing it too! I’m definitely pleased with it and will be renewing my subscription when it expires.

Poor upgrading can’t change my location anymore. This is so sad, I upgraded my HMA and trying to change my location but can’t anymore. Kindly return it to that way back it’s more safe than this stupid new upgrading it’s so annoying.

Tired Of This. Very slow and not well strong at the last versions and not even all that strong as a paid proxy vpn. Alway disconnecting when freshly Connected and will makes your internet stop working unless you turn on the vpn again, Sometimes it turns off immediately when trying to make a use of it this totally turns me off. Fix It we even need the old version.

Refuses to connect. Whenever I try to use the HMA! on my new device it asks me to grant permission to install vpn profile but after granting the request nothing happens. I was enjoying your services until this new development. I really disappointed at your service, I just updated the app to see if I’d get something positive from it but keeps giving me same outcome. You really should let me know how to fix it. Because my sub can’t be wasting.

Never loads anything. I paid for a 99$ yr subscription and it’s about 9 months in and this app is non sense 9/10 sites are safe guarded by something and won’t load. And then the other 1/10 is just a loading screen I have absolutely had it with this app. Literally going to call and get my money back because this is absurd to pay that much for a service that rarely if ever works

The BEST vpn. I’ve used multiple VPN services over the past couple years and HMA has provided the fastest, most consistent, and most stable connection I have used so far to date.

Works, but slow and connection issues. It works, but it's slow and has connection issues. Constantly disconnects and then won't get a new IP, forcing me to turn it on and off manually. Fix it!!!! Update: yeah, I’m sick of it. The other day it treated me like I wasn’t subscribed even though I pay month to month. In fact, I should say that it consistently does this every month on the day my subscription expires, but it became permanent and the support tech told me to just reinstall the app. No. Sorry, but the proxy isn’t even that sophisticated. If you are going to make a dumbed down proxy program, at least make it work. Done with it. Switching to another proxy service.

Great capabilities poor performance. Connects automatically most of the time. Often it shows connected but have NO internet capability, have disconnect HMA choose a different server location. Often I have to do it several times before I can get access to the internet. Each time it requires me to go to another program & see if it will load. It’s the worse on my cell phone because I can’t tell if it’s working of not.

VPN works but not good. The vpn is working, but the location you pick are not accurate. For example, you pick Saudi Arabia it will give you Czechia. In other words, there is no guarantee you will get the server for the country you want. No reply from the customer’s support. Good thing I paid only for a month. Not worth the money because they did not deliver what they promise.

Keeps downloading by itself. downloaded this app once and un downloaded it maybe a week afterward and I had no problem but it keeps reinstalling by itself. Sometimes when I’m on my phone it will glitch back to the home screen and the app will randomly be there. I’m not sure if I accidentally did something or if this is a bug but it’s a little weird.

Performs consistently well and reliable for almost 5 years. I have used this service for quite a while, using domestically and overseas. I have also tried a few other VPN services, but never continued with them because they did not compare with HMA. Great customer service, quick and easy connections. Never a problem with speed. Totally recommend this service over others that pay for positions in a search engine and have thousands of questionably "rave" reviews. Go with this one.

One of the best. This is one of the best VPNs I’ve purchased and I’ve tried several as I’ve lived overseas the last 5 years. Easy to set up, lots of servers to pick and customer service is quick and responsive. Price is one of the cheapest and you can connect multiple devises. Works great on desktop and Apple products.

used for Fan Duel. I am am an American living/working in Western Europe with a passion for American professional football. B/c of my location I am not able to use my Fan Duel app to play fantasy football. I searched VPNs that would allow me to sneak/trick the Fan Duel app to let me play. I found this ad stating it could do just that/that it would work for my needs, annnd... it didn't 🤷🏻‍♂️

MAKE IT STABLE. It don’t have to always disconnect the network/Wi-Fi every time the phone is not in hand or used. And then reconnects when you unlock your phone. It don’t make sense. What if you are waiting for a message to come in, only to find out your network was disconnected because you don’t have the phone unlocked and waiting? Please fix that. Aside that, it works great… so far

Recently Brakes. I have this 4 starts as recently the app won't stay connected on its own. It used to stay connected for hours, now just a couple of minutes and I am using the paid version. The support doesn't respond to me emails as well.

Great performance and a great product. I’ve had this application on my Windows machines for quite some time. I was very pleased to see is available for iOS also. It allows me to watch or listen to content that would not normally be available from my location. The actual VPN function for encryption is great when I am using public WiFi. The performance is surprisingly good. I get about a 15% performance hit with it enabled which is not bad. Love the name too!

Scam VPN. I’ve used this VPN for a year and I’ve had so much trouble with it. Recently it’s gotten really bad because it has stopped working on my desktop computer and my mobile device. I was nearing the end of my yearly subscription and I contacted support to tell them my dissatisfaction and ask for my subscription to be canceled because I couldn’t turn auto-renewal off through their site. Instead of canceling it, the next day (a month early) they renewed my yearly subscription. I asked for a refund, no responses from customer support. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Testing. Let’s see the back door access to this vpn. I have seen a lot of vpn have a lot of back door access to them that are easy to ghost right through. And let’s test this one.

Great VPN service, but causes Airdrop issues. I really like HMA as a VPN service, I keep it on all the time. Speed, endpoints and quality are great. But I recently figured out HMA has been causing the airdrop issues between my iPhone and MacBook. My iPhone always seemed to be stuck on “Waiting” when trying to transfer between devices. As soon as I turned off the VPN, airdrop worked perfectly. Hope the developers can fix this!!!

Deleted and moved on.. In the early years of this VPN, it worked great. Fast, simple, and never a problem. Since mid 2020, VPN fails to connect constantly. Have to manually configure. Since 2021, the only fix that works, is to delete the app, download fresh, and install. Works fine for about four days, and back to “delete, download, etc.” Not worth the effort of contacting support, as in the past, they did nothing, I had not already tried. Bye-bye HMA.

Useful but . . .. I'm so tired of this app always disconnecting then asking me to install a new VPN profile. And this just happened in the middle of a sensitive transaction. Is this thing protecting my connection or not?

Very important. I have been using this for over a month now and it’s been good .. I want to find out if there is a way the app will disconnect my internet connection if the vpn connection disconnects .. I might be on a site with an IP from New York and something goes wrong and the vpn disconnects .. I won’t want it to still be connected to the internet with original ip .. can it disconnect my internet if the vpn disconnects?

Server availability. Hi. HMA app has some issues in different platforms. For instance, all servers work fine on the IPhone. However, in Ipad I cannot connect to Israel or lightening server. This issue is happening in windows as well.

Doesn’t Install the vpn profile!. I can’t use the app because when i click to connect it says i must allow to install the profile and when i click on install profile button a loading circle appears and the quickly disappeares and nothing happens at all and this loop goes on without a result!

Inconsistent. I use this app so I can watch British tv shows, lately I am unable to watch my shows as I am being recognized as not being in the UK. The whole point I subscribed to HMA was to use the VPN to ping me from being within the UK. I have tried changing my IP address but I am still denied access to UK tv shows. Very disappointing and will not be renewing my subscription.

Review. I want to believe that I am protected as I have been hacked by a Perpetual and Persistent Hacker! I just don’t like when our WiFi goes out interminably and HMA does not come on when WiFi back up. Could you tell me if there’s something I can do in settings that would help me in this matter? Other than that when on I do feel comfortable, but would like to know if I’m still hacked would HMA warm or can you tell me how I can change in settings? Good app, just have to add a bit more vpns if you can. I see this vpn app has alot of vpns and i love this app, but if you can could you add british indian ocean territory british antartic lands south georgia and the south sandwich islands and western sahara? If you can add any of those thank you if no thats alright.

Flaws. I’ve had this on my phone for on or about a year. I’ve discussed this with tech support and gotten nowhere. What I want is to not have to toggle this vpn on all the time. I understand that when I’m away from home it’ll time out along with my wifi. That’s fine, but I don’t get out much anymore so the vpn should stay active yet it doesn’t. I have to remind myself to toggle it on every time my WiFi is connected. Even then it toggles off or times out randomly. Every time I get online I have to toggle it on and how long before it timed out is un predictable. I’d be very pleased if it didn’t do that constantly.

It disconnects. Hello, I was using your VPN service for 6 months and past three days I’m experiencing the problem with constant crashing. I mean I switch on VPN, it shows it’s on, but it’s not loading any services, it doesn’t change my IP address. It just doesn’t work. I thought it’s a bug and it will be fixed in several days, but the service doesn’t work at all. I’ve started using another VPN right now, but I paid for your service and wanna get this problem fixed. Disconnection issues. this is a good vpn but it keeps disconnecting every now and then you need to fix it, i see people complained about this yet you haven’t done anything to fix the issue you need to stop ignoring people and fix the issue

Keeps on dropping server connection. I have this for years but around 2020 it will keep on dropping server connection, not connect at all. I use to change locations thinking the server was loaded with people but now that doesn’t even work! Sent 2 complaints with a hey we got it but no response. Upgrade your servers!

My favorite VPN is now a SCAM. Been using HMA with very few issues for at least 10 years and just renewed for three more. Big mistake. The app will not prompt to add the VPN profile on my iPhone after renewing, so it will not work on my iPhone anymore. (I only have the software running on two total devices — so far it it still working on my PC). Their “support” has ignored multiple requests (4 so far) to fix the issue on my iPhone, so I’ve basically been been ripped off! (I can only use the software on 1 PC, and not 5 devices of any type?!) Don’t buy HMA’s service. If you have a problem, they will ignore you and gladly take your money anyway. The website won’t allow me to even cancel the subscription. HMA has turned from a legitimate service to theft.

Stopped working after one month. I purchased this app a month ago, initially it was working fine. But after few days connections got slow and I lost connection on and off . Now I cannot even log in. I have contacted HMA customer service many times via email but no response. Plus they have charged for next month too on top that. This is a terrible app.

Don’t use with flashrouter!. Drops connections all the time. All the severs are blocked by many popular streams and services if you are outside USA. Changed to the next popular VPN and never issues. Stays connected all the time for weeks. No need to reboot the router. If a server gets blocked a new is always available. Hma is 20$ cheaper for a year’s subscription but the headaches are not really worth it and, if you are overseas forget about it. I’m sorry I’m only 3 months into annual sub. Money down the drain

Great VPN. This VPN app continues to improve and the features get better. You now have the option to disconnect the von on trusted networks and when you leave those networks you will be reconnected. Great for those looking for added security and privacy.

Cancellation. It’s impossible to cancel my subscription. I noticed that I am set up for auto pay; however when I go to cancel it, there is no option. My renewal is coming up soon and I want to cancel this VPN. Don’t use it or need it anymore

Boodog. HMA is one of best VPN apps I've used. Many times I have re-load with a new location, however. You never know where you might get a workable server. Overall, it is a great VPN and worth the modest cost.

Decreased Europeans locations over time. Excellent service, but the locations in Europe have decreased over the years, and they seem to be blocked by some of the websites where I would like to anonymize my location, especially in Italy. Otherwise an excellent service.

HMA VPN. I have used HMA VPN many years before many internet users even knew what a VPN was. HMA moves with the times. Lots of servers close enough to me without degrading the speed of my connection. Great support team when I have had to (rarely) reach out but they know the answers. HMA "rocks" and I appreciate their service.

Works in some of the most remote areas of the world. We have had the pay service since 2013 while living in Africa SE Asia and have never had any major issues. The few occasions we had trouble trying to stream video with it, all we did was contact the help desk and they were able to help us. Highly recommended.

Is good but needs Arkansas like the tablet Verison of HMA VPN.. Fast connection speeds easy interface. Have been using it for over one year. No complains. Works all over the world. Works well. And fast.. Been using the service for a couple of years. VPNs add another layer to your Internet speed and reliability but I've found HMA usually pretty good. Compared linespeed with ExpressVPN recently and HMA was marginally better.

Wrong location. When I trying to connect to China, from the app show I have been connected to china Beijing, but when I using other apps show the IP address is in Singapore.

Dud App. I just paid US76 for this app in order to watch Australian tv whilst overseas. Not only is it not working, I cannot get through to any of their Help/Support/email us......talk about a big rip off!!

Does NOT work in China.. Don't bother with this app if you're trying to access blocked websites in China. Also, be careful about purchasing within the app as the refund period only applies to purchases through their website.

Unstable connections. Been with HMA for a long time but the connection instability has cost me big time this year and I'll need to try an alternative. The connection constantly drops out on my M1 iPad.

Great app but!. I bought this app to be able to watch US Netflix but can't as Netflix have a way of detecting I'm using a VPN. Some other VPN providers are claiming they overcome this problem. Would prefer to stay with HMA but may have to change. 😞

Still deciding. When it works it is great, when it doesn't it is v frustrating. Can spend half my night trying to get a server that will connect so I can watch TV from overseas. Clicking the country is meant to automatically choose the best server but it doesn't. Needs improving.

Was perfect.. I do applaud you for updating your servers. However, my usage of foreign services have been negatively impacted as some services have yet to update their list of global IP addresses. So while I applaud you for being proactive, in the end it has rendered this VPN service (which I pay for) useless to me for the time being.

Fail. Latest update doesn't even allow the app t work! Says "failed to connect to HMA! Pro VPN servers." Guess I pay for my VPN service with you guys to only be ripped off. I will be filing a fraud complaint against HMA.

Incompatible with iOS 12. This version doesn’t work with iOS 12. It will not connect to the servers. Only the native VPN from Apple connects to the server, the app doesn’t. The app also blocks wifi connection if set to auto launch. Very disturbing.

No Support!. If you want an app that offers support, look elsewhere. HMA VPN provides service up to the point that you pay your subscription but then that’s it. I have written about 3 different issues with 3-5 reminders per time but no reply other than the initial “We received your message”. Worse of all, they don’t answer your message about the “guaranteed”money back if your not satisfied.

Works great! Apple TV version missing?. Most use cases for HMA is for streaming video (at least for many), there should be no reason for not porting this App for Apple TV. Eagerly waiting for the Apple TV version.

Not usable any more. After recent server upgrade, they broke their service. Their server locations are not properly recognized on the Web any more. It seems they are not doing anything to fix it.

Terrible program and support. Program crashes all the time. Support team won't reply to any emails you send, they're fast getting back to you if your credit card doesn't work though. Lots of other options out there and I would recommend looking at them as HMA is only in it for your $$$$

Does not connect to the country you select. I am doing research on North Korea and was looking for a way to see what the internet would look like from the inside. I saw HMU had multiple servers in North Korea so I downloaded the app, set it up for DPRK, and connected. I was very disappointed to see that the VPN claimed I had successfully connected to North Korea, when in fact I did not. I was being connected to Czechia. This misleading information is an indicator that this VPN is not being transparent/honest and that has taken away all the confidence I had in this product. I will not be using it again.

Took over $100. I used the trail and was charged $100 after, even after being told a 30 day money back guarantee.. IAM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY AND WILL BE FILING A REAL COMPLAINT.. I want my money back because I dont use this VPN for awhile and still dont and it has not even been 24 hours since they took money from me.. I WANT A REFUND! They can check my account but they wont refund me my hard earned money!!!

Had to reinstall. At first it kept crashing but I had to just reinstall it. Update* I’ve used HMA on and off for years and love it! So easy to use and you know your secure. No way to turn off auto connect. Latest version sucks. No matter how many times I change the settings, it reverts to auto connect so every time I open the app it automatically connects to the last server I was in. No way to stop that from happening. Really getting fed up with this service, especially given how expensive it is.

Rubbish. Paid for one month. VPN does not work with TSN Go app outside of Canada, when connected to Canadian server. Would give zero stars if I could.

I used to love HMA a few years back. Not any more.. I used HMA a lot a few years back. The past couple of years I never needed it but have been using it again the past 3 weeks, but it is giving me lots of grieve. Basically it is not working. It pops up as VPN in the upper left corner (on the IPad) but the movies never load (not even in 5, 10 or 15 min and we have 100mps here) which mean it is not working. It used to let us chose different locations within one country bu not any more. VERY disappointed

Does not work on iPhone 15 pro max. Does not work on iPhone 15 pro Max running latest ios software. When you contact HMA they are are unresponsive. Works on iPad but not iPhone. Been using for years but will not renew!!!

Bugs. This thing works pretty well, but every time my payment renews I have to uninstall the app and then reinstall it.

Tech support ignores emails. Have emailed tech support twice in the last few weeks and each time get a Zendesk reply that goes to a broken link. No other way to get a reply from support. Can’t recommend HMA.

Very awful customer support. This is one the worst customer support I have ever received for a product I bought on a 3 years plan .. it’s take them 2 month to reply a complaint

Terrible service. The payment has been made and the so called glitch in the matrix is repeated at all times when I tried to creat my account. What was worse, no staffs reply to me during my attempt to contact them.

Total lack of customer service. My HMA VPN has stopped working 2 weeks ago - it says that I am offline while I am absolutely not. I have contacted customer service three times and have not received a single answer. I'll choose another VPN when my contract expires.

Crash. The app does what it’s intended for. The only thing that I have had a glitch in is when you rest your phone. The app gets stuck and you have to completely disable it in order for other apps to work.

Always connecting to another location I didn’t chose. You seem not to even care about locations IP anymore, I’ll chose New York on HMA but IP given will be Massachusetts, if I chose Texas, IP given will be Utah! Always connecting to wrong location. I won’t renew never!

Won’t bypass location blackouts. I learned the hard way that this VPN will not bypass the NHL streaming package or other TV services that blackout streams based on location. It will work for things like radio, and Netflix/Amazon services, but I purchased this mainly for TV streams.

Does not work. If you have an iPhone and use anything related to yahoo plus some apps you have to shut off vpn to use. This defeats the whole purpose.

Causing wifi connect issues. I had to uninstall from my ipad. Update is not allowing me to access wifi. I had to delete the ap to get the wifi connection. Running on ipad with latest os. Now updated to 15.7 iOs on ipad and no connection..

Support team never responds waste of money. After submitting two different tickets almost 3 days apart.I received a confirmation email, stating they would respond, but never did. in the ticket section they closed it as if the problem was solved having never asked what the problem was . There location does not work.

not free. I read the reviews and they were great, But they didn’t mention that none of the servers are free. Don’t waste your time on this app if you’re not willing to spend money on it. Auto renew didn’t work. Auto renew date came.. I was billed...app didn’t work or recognize I paid 79 bucks. Tech support lame- as in did not help- in helping to get it fixed. Refund and delete is next step. In your response you are saying to contact you -I DID! I am no longer a customer and never will be again.

This VPN is the worst a complete waste of money. Instead of HMA to keep you safe it will expose you in the worst of ways the connection fails randomly and reveals your true location. I have lost 3 good profiles to this useless vpn. Please save your money
