Afrikaans data filled with errors. I’m using the website version, not the app, because the app hasn’t got the flashcard features I like to use. But I think the same data is used in both., so I am writing this review. The lessons are short and nice, but the data is full of the most astonishing errors. I’ve been told twice the errors are due to a programming error, but I find that explanation impossible to accept. Nouns, adjectives and verbs are presented as the wrong part of speech (liefde, a noun, is listed as a verb, for example). Audio recordings occasionally mispronunciation words (nuus) and in one place I think Dutch appears instead of Afrikaans (leuke for Lekker). There are misspellings, incorrect audio, missing audio of target language ( audio exists for English only, not the language being studied). I find I regularly double check AfrikaansPod101 with a native speaker because I can’t trust the data. Mostly this program is rich and nice, but the data errors are far too many. But I don’t want to be unfair in this review, I am still using it.

Paid for the premium plus membership. I have been using the app and I am on day number four. Contacted the teacher they advertise so much right on the first day and did the assignment. The one on one teacher they promised hasn’t even said hi (other than the automated welcome message they sent). I called customer support they asked to leave a message with my phone number and I have not received a call yet. I also emailed and still waiting for someone to reply my email. UPDATE: after a while the teacher responded with another message that looked automated and didn’t even check my first assignment like they said on the first automated message. But then I have to wait 24 hours to get a response since they only reply once a day. They have their 60 money day back guarantee and they don’t even honor it. All I wanted was to downgrade from premium plus to premium and they asked me to do it through Apple when I do it through Apple I got told refunds are not permitted and then innovative language learning tells me they can’t issue refunds because it was handled by Apple. This is awful. DONT EVEN TRY TO GET THE PREMIUM PLUS MEMBERSHIP IT’S LITERALLY A SCAM.

Very thorough and well ordered. I’ve just been using this program, studying Greek for only a week, but I’m already extremely impressed with how comprehensive the lessons have been. The audio lessons progress thoughtfully, building on earlier learning, and the transcripts and lesson notes are an excellent companion for helping to solidify what I’ve learned. Very grateful to have real dialogues and conversations to listen and learn from. Also appreciate that cultural learning is integrated as well. Highly recommended!

Not bad but could use improvements. I have been using this software for a while. Its basically pretty good. I think it is enough to become proficient in a language and I am going to continue using it. With that said it has a few issues. First, I have noticed that quite a lot of the podcasts have editing issues. They either have an outright error, or someone says something that they clearly meant to be edited. Also, in some lesson groups they will suddenly and inexplicably change narrators. Not a big deal, but it is noticeable and annoying. Finally, they should just take off the “switch language button on the app. It doesn’t work. I have tried changing languages from Spanish to Mandarin and from Spanish to Italian on different occasions. But the app will mot let you do that. In fact it is difficult to change apparently because of the way the account is set up.

You’ll never learn from anywhere better than here. I was very skeptical of this app and site. I’ve been trying to learn russian and every source I went to just seemed to not be able to do the job and I thought it would be the same here. I was proven wrong quick, I have learned to quickly and understand so much more than anywhere I’ve been. I paid for the bigger package too which comes with a teacher and she has been a wonderful teacher and has taught me a lot and is even helping me go to school in russia. Never had a bad experience and it was worth every penny to use the site.

Let me just speak facts.. I am currently learning Japanese and I was just downloading many language speaking apps and so far, this app is on my top 2! This app I feel is so underrated and I love this app because it gives you LEGIT STEP BY STEP examples of things! I love this app soooo much and I just started on it! I am really glad I have witnessed and to whoever made this app- DESERVES A RAISE PERIODT. I love this app thank you very much and I’m sure I speak for a lot of people here! Keep doing what you’re doing!!❤️❤️

Best way to refresh. I did live in Czechoslovakia, but that was some time ago. I do remember some Czech, but what I do remember is varied or I just struggle with certain words and pronunciations. This app is great because you get simple lessons that have text along with pronunciation and great dialogue. The kind of real dialogue you will hear in county. Moreover the lessons have pronunciation at normal speed, then follows with a slower speed. In Prague they speak quickly, so you better get use to it, but sometimes Czechs will be more accommodating and speak slowly. I love how you can printout and download lessons so you can practice on stuff later. The lessons are not wasted on useless or obscure vocabulary and phrases.

Innovative Language Solutions is the best,. I love using Innovative Language Solutions! I am using it to learn Chinese now, and used it for Indonesian a couple of years ago. The lessons are engaging and provide great context for all the relevant vocabulary. I play the lessons while driving or doing housework and use the line-by-line audio, lesson transcripts and flashcards when I have time to study. I wish I had found this years ago! A paid subscription is definitely worth it so you can learn faster.

Horrible App. Can’t figure out where the formal lesson plan is, the iPad app is all over the place. The one thing easy to find are their constant emails to upgrade your subscription to a paid one, despite the fact that I’m currently on their 7-day free trial with all benefits. It should be a simple matter to personalize one’s content and show lesson plans with completion. Every other language learning app does it. On their website, first priority is given to on boarding new customers, not supporting existing ones. If you do figure out how to select lessons, each one starts with the same nonsense 25 SECONDS of bumper music. I guess the developers consider it “charming” but, like hearing a radio ad with a comedic twist, it gets very old very fast, wasting your time. Too much fluff, not enough thought to usability in this app. Couple that with the constant sales “reminders” to upgrade and meh, who needs it. There are better, more focused, and less costly apps out there.

Afrikaans is a SHORT A. No one says Afrikaans with a long A. I bought a subscription to brush up after being gone for 25 years. As a program I think it’s structure is very good. It’s difficult to find any help with Afrikaans. I give it 4 stars for annoying lesson music, lack of proper pronunciation of the language, and the audio reminders that I can upgrade my basic subscription ($6) a month to more in depth lessons. Other than that it’s great. So developers PLEASE fix that. It’s seriously like fingernails on a chalkboard!

Best app ever!!!!. Taking Italian for my second year and cannot imagine what I would do without this app. After class it’s so helpful to brush up in terms and pronunciation and before a big test to study. I really enjoy the audio feature hearing fluent speakers or teacher helps me to better understand the language and speak better with my peers in the outside world and class room environment. I also like how easy it is to use on the go which is super important today! Super easy to use an every informative. I would definitely recommend this for language learners!!!!!

Please add support CarPlay and Siri Shortcuts!. Please add Apple CarPlay Support! This app is a PERFECT candidate for a safe-yet-productive CarPlay experience! Having the 10/15-second jump buttons on my car display while being able to navigate lesson tracks from my steering wheel would be terrific. Also, I’d love to see you integrate Siri Shortcuts! It’d be awesome to tell Siri “Let’s study Japanese” and have it kick the group of lessons that I set for the shortcut. Please make it happen! Thanks for considering! Previous review: Awesome! Improved Audio Playback Controls! - I’m so happy to have audiobook and podcast-like audio controls on the iOS Lock Screen and Notification Center now! This is a big deal! Definitely worthy of a bullet point in your release notes! I’m excited about the new Apple TV app, too. Can you please make it so that it shows green checkmarks or something next to your already-completed lessons? It’d be awesome to see our word bank and have flash cards on the TV, too! It’s a good start! Keep the updates coming!

Amazing!!. I have tried many language apps but this is by far the best one ever! Most apps/programs make you memorize words. They don’t teach you the cultural background or even the grammar! Which is very important when needing to know how to form sentences and have a conversation. Personally that’s what makes this app/website outstanding. There’s so many tools to help you fast track your progress for an affordable price, especially with the unlimited amount of tools available. I’m just starting out as an absolute beginner filipino but I see a promising future for my growth.

Great, but where’s the mobile only subscription?. I love this app and it’s content. Love listening to the podcasts throughout my day, and everything about the app seems to work as it should, but recently the ability to upgrade to the mobile use only subscription has disappeared. However, It’s still being advertised on the section of the japanesepod101 website that talks about the mobile app. Is that no longer a possible subscription they are offering? Really bummed if that’s the case because that was the only plan that fit my needs :/

There is no better way learn Japanese.. I love Japanese pod 101. I have been listening to Japanese pod one oh one on and off for 15 years. I used it when I lived in Japan and it really helped me increase my fluency. The only time I stopped, was when I entered Cornell‘s falcon program. Japanese pod 101,In my opinion is the best program available to learn how to understand, speak and communicate in Japanese. Each lesson also has very good grammar points as well. I had to study with a live teacher this year.

Still learning to navigate this. I’ve had basic subscriptions, and just switched to premium. The Japanese I tried for a month in basic, and found it very helpful during a trip there, but I recommend studying several months in advance. I also used Cantonese in basic, and mainly listened to the absolute beginner and lower beginner classes. Absolute beginner was slower-paced and the classes were more natural-sounding. Lower beginner sounds more like a poor quality read back, but is still informative. It’s also faster-paced with more vocabulary. I will now be trying premium for Japanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin. It drove me nuts how they kept changing the sale percentage during Black Friday weekend though! I know that’s how a lot of businesses operate, but I hate it.

App vs website. Learning from the website is more time convenient than using the app. If you leave the transcript, notes, or audio in the app to do something else on your phone or iPad for whatever reason, you lose your place and have to start over from the home page. This is not particularly easy because some of the lessons have similar titles, thus requiring a couple minutes of search to find the precise step I was at. This discourages my use of the app. It is more practical to use the app only when you’re not at home and have some free time, which may not be a significant amount of reliable time. The lesson line up is not consistent with the website dashboard. Even though I have an account, I had to search for the lesson category in panic for fear that my progress on the app was not tracked on the website. I saw that the progress was synced but wondered why is the information not in corresponding formats.

Great product. I was skeptical at first trying to learn Japanese this way- when I hear the audio and it's so fast it is overwhelming! But I find the different ways they teach you and reinforce the material to be super helpful. I can go over the lessons again and again, as well as individual portions. I love the app, it's a lot more user friendly then the website. I was ready to quit even my "free" premium trial of the website when I found the app, and it changed my mind. I put it on Bluetooth in my car and practice on my way to work. The video lessons cover different things and I find the detailed tips and visuals on pronunciation particularly helpful. Certain sounds are just not done in English, and it really is a struggle. I had a particular breakthrough today with one of the video lessons explaining the cadence of Japanese and showing how to pronounce it. Really great! I recommend learning hiragana and not relying on romanii, as it does actually make pronouncing it easier. I will be continuing with this for sure.

Greek and Italian. I purchased the mobile lifetime Greekpod101 when I returned from Greece in 2018. The app makes Greek a lot of fun to learn. I wish I used it before I went to Greece. I purchased the mobile lifetime Italianpod101 about 8 months before I went to Italy. My friends and other travelers on our tour were shocked that I could hold small conversations in Italian. The Italian people that I met appreciated me learning their language. It was also nice to be able to read the Italian menus. Also, Innovative’s cultural lessons are very beneficial for traveling to other countries.

Key Features Missing. * Favorite lessons * Flash cards (both adding vocabulary to them, and using them) Suppose you find a lesson you like on the desktop client, and you want to pick up where you left off on your phone, so you favorite it... you have to go through 3 or 4 menus to get to it (assuming you remember the title) as favorites aren't available on mobile. Likewise - a few minutes free on your commute and want to study flash cards? Since this feature isn't available in the app the recommended workaround is to login to the website in your mobile browser. I realize I am an outlier - but I am privacy conscious and my mobile browser clears all cookies / browsing data on exit so I'd need to login every single time I want to access the content / features I paid for. In general, the mobile experience feels completely divorced from the web app experience. Find the developer(s) on your team pushing for a consistent API that both the web app and mobile app call (if you have any) and give those people the time time / resources to make things work the way they should! 😜 Good app otherwise so far!

A easy and steady way to learn another language!. I have used this product for 6 months now and have over been very satisfied in my progress with learning Japanese. It does feel a bit slow at times but it is necessary to getting the language exposure that you will bring you to understanding even the most complex of languages. The only thing I wish is that they had flash cards on the mobile version and writing flash cards for languages with a completely different writing system from the Roman alphabet. Even without these features, I am still overall very satisfied with the final product and hope that these features will be implemented at a later time.

Good, but not complete. I’m using portuguesepod101 to learn, and this is the app they directed me to. It’s great for audio and basic quizzing, and it lets me add words to my word bank, but I can’t do anything with those words; it seems like flashcards just don’t exist on this app. That’s a BIG part of learning a language, and I would rather not manually transcribe my word bank into another app by hand or delete the app and just use the website on mobile. I hope I’m mistaken and I just haven’t found where they hid the flashcards. If anyone knows, please tell me! I’d be grateful to have flashcards and tell everyone how great this app is.

Greatest multifaceted language learning tool I’ve every used. I have used this Norwegian 101 for 2 Years now and have just signed up for another 2 years. I have been amazed about how varied the lesson formats are and it is very affordable This language program has got it all from various reading and speaking exercises to the real prize....native language speakers that help you master pronunciation. Learning tp properly pronounce words and phases is the most difficult task for me, and I have found this program to be a real help. Overall it is really affordable too.

Great, but important improvements needed.. This app taught me a lot, despite its own format, sort of. I totally agree with other feedback I’ve seen saying we shouldn’t hear the translation second. We should hear primary language first and then the new language. If I hear a bunch of unknown words and then my language, I can’t remember what it’s translating. If I hear my language first, I know what meaning to look for in the phrase. Also, the subscriptions are so expensive. The 7.99 subscription doesn’t even let you listen to the vocab words separately, which doesn’t make sense, since you could just scrub to that part of the lesson anyway, so it’s just an added inconvenience unless you pay.

Great lessons but too expensive every month. Also, after my trial expired I cannot go back to lesson one to remind myself of this app. I registered a long time ago and wanted to see get through lesson one again to see how good it was presented. The fact you don’t give out even one lessons for free is a mistake in my opinion. Common now, you have hundreds of hours of material and you are greedy for 1 lesson that came free on trial? Cannot rate 5 because of those 2 reasons. But from what I remember the content was very good.

Love the content!. The actual prices and what you get with each is very confusing. It’s also on the expensive side. There needs to he more clarity on the price and content tiers. I have a premium plus righ now set to auto renew. (I’m not at all sure why I should upgrade)But it’s really quite wonderful for learning. It has everything that I love about the pimsleur audio, but with many types of lessons and grammar help. You can find the subject matter you want too.

Deleting my account/ question about free 7-day trial. How long will it take the support team to delete my account? Honestly, I was expecting that I could delete it with a simple click of a button but I have to go through the process of contacting a support team. I have no issues with the app but I do not want to keep it or account. I have a question for the free 7-day trial. Will it end on its own or will I have to cancel it because I do not want it to automatically subscribe to another subscription without my knowledge and then proceed to charge me. That will be an issue especially if I am not using the app. Please respond back soon.

Love this app, in my fourth year. This app isn't the only one I use by any means, but it has kept me on a path of steady progress. I subscribe to the premium version (which has a free month and a nice big sale every year in the beginning of December). I also use it on my desktop because there are even more opportunities for learning and last year I passed the JLPT 5 by preparing using the study guide. I have never had time or funds to take a formal class but I use this in the car, while doing mindless work and in dedicated study sessions. I love the narrators, they make learning fun and interesting and it's great to leave comments on the actual site and get feed back. They even gave me directions on how to add Japanese to my keyboard! Thanks Japanese Pod 101!

This app is actually helpful. I only had this app for a couple of days and I already learned so much about Japanese! I’m extremely happy that I’m able to get on this app listen to lessons whenever I feel like it. I don’t feel pressured I don’t get stressed when I got something wrong. This app is amazing, if anyone is reading this and wants to know if this app is actually helpful, yes it is! I highly recommend it!

Great program but I wish.... I wish I could use the flash cards in the app and customize them for my own needs. I want to really emphasize listening skills since I’m only taking a trip so sometimes I want more listening cards. Then other times I just want to quickly review so I only want to do reading cards. Anyway that’s nothing compared to the fun I’m having learning Hebrew. The program is easy to use and has several choices of material. The speakers are good and fun to listen to.

Love it!!. I am a premium member learning Korean. It has been a little over a month using this and I think the audio and video lessons are very well made and easy to understand. I love my instructor Claire! She responds quickly and is pleasant. The only suggestion I would like to make would be more lessons with speech. I feel like I understand more than I am able to speak. Typing out responses in a conversation is great but actually speaking fluently is harder in my opinion. Especially since there are different levels of speech. 감사합니다 선현우씨 for KC101 and TTMIK!

no furigana, not ideal for advanced learner. I have been studying Japanese for a few years by myself and I am around N2 level. One big downside about this app is that their transcript doesn’t have furigana. Their available option is only hiragana, romaji, or kanji. It’s very unsatisfying. I really hope their kanji script can add furigana option. Another downside is that I found out that for their advanced level, a lot of their lessons don’t have English translation. To sum up, this website has a lot of great contents, but they are missing several key elements. And I think this app is only good for people who are N5-N4. It’s not an ideal app for people who are already N2. After my free trail end, I will just move on to another website.

Meh, it needs work.. I love this app, but is audio and video all it has?? This app is great, the way it's organized, everything! But there needs to be changes. • The price for premium is extremely expensive, I'd buy it, but the price is too high. • The amount of languages. I really want to learn Flemish, but there isn't any. • I think that there should be ways to not only have audio and video, but typing and other ways too. Sometimes I want to use this app, but I'm in public and don't want the volume to be too loud just so I could hear and pronounce. • The setup makes me uncomfortable. I think that it should be available to make a folder in a folder, so the vocabulary section wouldn't be so unorganized and uncomfortable for me and maybe some other people.

Its's Alright in combination with...... I like the clarity of the words spoken. However, There is so much programming hard to know where to start. I am used to the Pimsleur method. I like that structure much better. I do like the fact that you can download the program notes and able to phrases to your word bank. I think this is great in combination with another app like Pimsleur. If you can pair your lessons with with this program that would be definitely worth it. The average person should be able to see results in his/her progress. In case you are wondering. I am studying German. I assume it is the same format as the other languages. As far is it worth the purchase?.....well I am still in the process of the free trial period. However, once I find a way to combine these lessons with the Pimsleur learning I have already been doing. I think it will be well worth the money. I am giving it 4 stars mainly for content. But again,...I think how the lessons are deployed should be tweaked. Hope this helps. Bis später!! Danke

Really great way to learn another language. I have a decent basic command of Hebrew but wanted to improve. I am taking a conversational Hebrew class once a week and feel that my vocabulary and comprehension are not on par with my classmates. So I listen to my hebrew podcasts every chance I get. I’ve learned so much more vocab. I love how they break it down - speaking more slowly And then adding the translation. And I love the line by line expansion. I sometimes use that to test myself. Reading the English and seeing if I know how to say it in Hebrew. And I like that I can create a word list to improve my vocabulary. I also like the cultural lesson and the grammar offered in each lesson. Overall think this is a great app!

Sells More Than Teaches. The content is good, but my impression the app has been overwhelmed by the flood of messages inciting you to spend more and more money to subscribe. Even things which are seemingly helpful (like the word of the day) directs you back into the app where you’re told to buy, buy, buy. The aggressive sales techniques are cheap, tawdry, and distracting! I got nearly five emails in a day telling me about a “flash sale!”, “limited time flash sale extension!”, word of the day, or telling me to “upgrade now!” A good product will sell itself. This app IS a good tool with informative content, but I’m so put off by the flashy sales gauntlet required to get to it that I’d rather find something else.

Audio stops when screen is off - edit. I really like this app but the recent update made it so that the audio stops playing if my iPhone screen turns off. This is big deal for me because I like to listen while walking or doing chores around the house, and it’s a hassle having to keep the screen on the whole time (not to mention the battery drain). * Edit: Somehow this problem went away by itself so I’m revising my rating up to 5 stars.

Disappointed..needs tweaking. I was looking forward to using the audio lessons in conversation format to supplement another very successful program that has improved my speech of Spanish to a point where I am comfortable expressing (although at a low level)my thoughts in speech. I was very disappointed. In my opinion, the format to the audio conversation lessons is backwards. It is very difficult to listen to a foreign language sentence and then keep that in mind and remember it while your listening to the translation in your home language. It should be your home-spoken language first, then a several seconds pause while you try to speak it in the new language, then the translation in the new language to verify or tweak what you just spoke. That's another thing, it does no good to listen only, with no time during the lesson to repeat and practice immediately after the prompt. If you think about it, it only makes sense that a person first has a thought, then, even in our home language, we put the words together to express that thought. So that cannot happen if we first must listen without really knowing the "thought" and then have to take the subsequent translation and then try to remember how it was said in the new language. Also I tried to slow down the speech but found it was echoing so badly it did not work. I wasn't sure if that was my phone problem or your app. If I have missed any options or settings that would fix my concerns, I apologize in advance.

Have to pay. So I downloaded this quite a while ago and listened to quite a few lessons. Some stuff happened in my life and I had to stop using it for a few months. You can imagine my dismay when I go to use it again and find that every single aspect, even the lessons, which were advertised as free indefinitely, are now all locked and I must pay a ton of money to listen to them. I don’t have that kind of money. Why is it that in order to learn anything, you have to be rich? So tired of it. If you’re going to make it free, make it free. Don’t change it when you feel you suddenly want to make a profit. Some people actually need or want to use it, but just don’t have that kind of money. Severely disappointed. I was recommending this app for people, but that’s passed. Thanks for nothing.

Perfect!!!. This app is a easy way to learn one thing is I had to get disabled for 2 minutes from logging in though that’s fine it’s easy to learn any language you plan to this is better the babbel it’s self!!! They slow it down so you can pronounce it I’d say worth it to download this I can easily learn Russian and talk to my family and friends without them knowing what I am saying 😂😂 anyways THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!

You tricked me. You said that this language is free life trail which is not a payment. When I get on it and learn Norwegian so I can understand it, there's a rectangle yellow background with red warning sign and in the black text said "Your 7-Day Free Trail Has Expired". Yet this means 7 days free trail has ended it and there is NO way I can afford this. I just wanted to learn Norwegian, and study it, and understand it, and more then I would be intelligent if I were bilingual, and I wanted to be a citizen of Norway (which is a city of love, beautiful, interesting, and vikings as I was recommended). Just as then, I wasn't making an excuse about it but I can see that it could be bug, spam, hacked, or something. I don't wanna criticize you because I love learning Norwegian and if you kindly respect my opinion and very please let me learn Norwegian instead of those payments I don't wanna buy. Thank you.

Good content, garbage customer service. I used to use this app and really like it. Took a break, and resubscribed last week. I was charged immediately, but the app continues to say it’s expired. This is clearly a common problem since it’s in their faqs. I tried everything they say to do in their forums and more. I’ve emailed 4 times and gotten no response, not even an auto response about how long it takes. A full week of not having access to content I paid for is unacceptable. Update: over a full month, I never got any response from the developers. Cancelled my subscription, deleted the app, lost 10 bucks. What a waste.

lots of potential, serious issues. I liked the pronunciation videos enough to immediately sign up for Premium, they were that good Then I tried their flashcards- very disappointing. Enough issues that I emailed support. Ten hours later not even a ‘Hey we got the email’ auto response that everyone seems to have nowadays. Word bank is glitchy- I only have 4 words in it so far, but only two have Pinyin, the other two don’t? This app was set up by third party guys that never need to use it. Those in the company also seem to not be users, based on their design layout ! An example is: In Mandarin there are 4 separate tone marks. In the App’s version of flashcards the Pinyin is small , and the tone marks are tiny! If you can imagine a flash card on a phone where 90% of the screen is ‘white space’ while the useful info takes up less than 5% of the screen?!? Who in their right mind would think this is even ok let alone ‘good’ ?? so, tldr. Great vids but poor design which

I’m very happy with this app so far!. I’ve been trying to learn Romanian for as long as I can remember. It’s hard to find apps and other things to learn this language. Most are the most popular languages. So the fact that this app has it gets a star. I also love how it explains when you use certain words and phrases. When trying to learn on my own I would often find many examples of the same meaning. And not know why there was so many options for the one word. Here they explain when you would use the right words. Ives learned Romanian there are three different types of “excuse me”. Having it this set up makes me feel a lot more confident and trying to Communicate with natives.

Relatively good app but.... It’s not the best language learning format, but I’m happy with it. I wish there was a bit more interactivity m, such as the text appearing on screen as the conversation is happening, as it can be a bit difficult to jump up and down the pdf’s on a mobile device when trying to listen, but I doubt this will be changed. However something I do think that can and should be changed is easier transition between languages. At least remember logins when switching between languages and allow us to favorite languages at the top of the language list. It’s so annoying to have to login each time when switching between Indonesian and Japanese, and have to scroll each time to find the languages. Please fix this

needs flashcard function. the app is nice because i can study on the go from my phone, but it does not have all the features found on the webpage 101 class. The most useful feature being flashcards! theres a lot of research demonstrating that recall is a more effective teaching tool than recognition. But without flash cards this app does not leverage one of the most powerful tools of memory and learning!! Please fix this! I would rate it 5 stars if it had all the functionality of the webpage.

Wonderful Language Learning Program. I have been an ESL instructor for many years. I have basic fluency in two other languages as well. I recommend this program to everyone I meet who is learning another language, as it's so well done. I have tried both the Prime subscription as well as the Basic subscription for Danish. Both are great depending on how much supplemental material you feel you need. The Prime subscription gives you the option of listening to the individual recorded segments found in both the audio lessons as well as their example material. It also gives you access to a nice flash card system, as well as mini quizzes, among other perks. The Basic subscription gives you access to the entire video and audio library as well, complete with the helpful notes that accompany each lesson. Whenever I exercise, I usually listen to a single audio lesson three times in a row, repeating out loud every Danish word and sentence I hear. I like it that each lesson ends with a little quiz, giving you time to come up with the translation before the answer is given. Then later I read the lesson material (which includes the transcript and notes for Basic membership) and listen again to the audio. The app is very easy to use and lets you download the lessons so you can listen even without an internet connection. Once again, I highly recommend this language learning system. It's simple, fun, as well as informative and thorough.

great potential- less romanization. I think this is a great way to learn the Korean language. But before using this app i would recommend having knowledge of the alphabet and being familiar with the common/basic functions and sounds in the hangul alphabet. for developers : adding a section in beginners where you teach them the hangul alphabet and the commons sounds made would be extremely helpful. That way the romanization can be taken out as it does not help the learner get acquainted with the hangul spelling/writing that Koreans us.

Quite useful and Enjoyable. Got this app to learn Japanese. I think it's a great and fun tool, especially together with Rosetta Stone (that forces you to talk to "it"). RS to learn fundamentals and this one to get more native dialog. I'm glad they actually start with fast Japanese dialog first, and then slow it down, and only after that translate. Because it forces you to try and understand what they are talking about without knowing every word, which is what would realistically happen if you went to a foreign country while learning the language. You can always glance at the vocab list first to familiarize yourself and then jump to the lesson. My only wish grammar section was a bit more extensive, but I can't really complain because grammar practice is not really the point of this app.

Needs improvement. Learning a language is all about repetition. You listen to the same materials many times and vocabularies or sentences will eventually stay in your brain. I am disappointed at this app because it does not have the capability of automatic repetition. As a learner, I have to click on each vocabulary on the vocabulary page and each sentence on the dialogue page numerous time if I wish to listen to the same word or same sentence many times. This is extremely painful when I am working out at the gym and unable to click repetitively on each word and each sentence. I have been complaining about this issue a couple of times during the past two years, but I don’t see improvement.

Can’t contact. Don’t find it easy to get around program . I have paid premium $ and not having success. Not used this would like my money back

Can’t cancel subscription.. This is crazy it’s charging me over 30 dollars a month the app doesn’t even appear on my phone I would love to get this sorted out ASAP.

Thai content is a disaster. Several Thai speakers have confirmed the content of the Thai lessons is often wrong, using unnatural direct translations that are not found in ordinary usage and just simply choosing to focus on ridiculous vocabulary that are useless and confusing.

Audio stops when iPhone closes. Super annoying to listen to audio lessons on phone. Every time the phone 'goes to sleep', the audio stops.

Portuguese. I have not used the app extensively as I was busy however they keep asking for a review So far I am happy as they do have some grammar & hints on how to pronounce words which some other free sites do not mention I am keeping an open mind They had promised lifetime free lessons but I note they keep asking you to upgrade

Almost great. I love the Japanese content, which has really helped me increase my fluency after years away from the language. The only reason for the four stars are several shortcomings in the functionality of the app. It does not remember the location in a dialogue when the app is in the background or the phone is asleep, and it constantly logs out of the app. A better means to continue on to the next dialogue would also be useful, as the current auto play has issues.

I'm a dinosaur. I'm finding it hard to navigate. I'm learning Cantonese. Done know where to find how to read jyutping. It would be nice to have a resource, had to go elsewhere. It may be here but I can't find it, Following in order, it jumped into a test which which went on forever and had lots of words I hadn't learned yet. I got by just from what I know from my abc-ness. So far finding missing things or typos in the learning resources. There was a tone change for jat1 一 as jat5 bun2 一本 on the resources and dad said it's supposed to be 1. I'm not sure what to rely on because I know in mandarin there are tone changing rules. I'm hoping to find an app that I can be confidence in and rely on that has accurate info if I'm up for paying 800 odd dollars. I understand the price, a lot of work an effort goes into a learning resource. So far this is most helpful app I can find for Cantonese but it ok on iPhone but nicer on iPad. Not sure yet if I'm going to pay for premium yet.

A slow process. Here you will learn the words for underline and flotation device ,words that didnt seem to come up in 6 years of learning French and come to think of it not often in English . So I still cannot tell my polish grandchildren I love them ,order a coffee or find the toilet ..

CAREFUL with this app!. I am unhappy with this app because it does not let me cancel my subscription and it charges me automatically $300+ per two years. I have used the app for a while and was happy with it, but now I have limited time and wish to pause my subscription, but the SUPPORT on the app DOES NOT WORK and they don’t reply to my contact via website. THEY DO AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCT THE KONEU VIA PAYPAL though - that works. Very disappointed and looking into where to report this issue as it is based in Italy and I am in Australia.

Koreanclass101. This app has helped my journey a lot and a few native Korean speakers have been pleasantly surprised by some of the cultural tips I have learned. And there are some funny moments in some of the lessons (Jaewhi’s video lessons in particular!) Enjoy! G 😃

App Freezes. The app always freezes when you go into My Teacher. Not good when you are paying for the most expensive premium plus subscription and can't talk with teacher!

Excellent app. Excellent app We do appreciate your effort and perfect job thank you for much

French Intermediate. I was looking for something that took more directly to comprehending and speaking French as it is spoken by native speakers. So far. Looks great in that respect. Short conversation deconstructed, enjoyable and fast moving format - Steve

Good content. I have been using Japanese pod101 for a while now. I usually listen while I work. Part Y because I’m eager to learn and partly becuse it’s interesting, I don’t get bored listening to the same lesson on repeat. Which incidentally is a very handy function. Majide sugoi.

Japanese language. Really easy to learn

Too much waffle. The good content is so diluted down by the inane chit-chat, annoying jingles and incessant marketing that I find it the audio too irritating for serious study. The PDF and notes are good though.

Do not want an account.. I don’t want to have to sign up for an account before I even allowed to see how everything works and looks first. That’s pointless and infuriating because this could have been great, who knows? Going to another one that doesn’t force sign ups before seeing the product. Would you get a subscription to Time or Reader’s Digest magazines if you’d never even read them?

The audio files are enjoyable to follow.. The audio files are enjoyable to follow.

BEST WAY TO LEARN A LANGUAGE DON’T USE DUOLINGO!!!. Use this app it’s amazing! I was learning Japanese on Duolingo for two months and learnt next to nothing. Two weeks of this and I can already use simple sentences, ask questions, give information about myself, plus so much more. USE THIS APP IST SO GOOD!!! You do have to pay quite a bit especially for premium plus, but in telling you it is so worth it!!!!!!! You get a personal tutor to help you as you learn, give feedback and set assignments for you to do! So helpful! So if you’re using any other app, (especially duolingo) put it down right now and download this!!!! Would rate 100 out of five!!!!!!!

So far no good. The audio lessons are half just intros and self promo - just because they throw the entire kitchen sink at a learner doesn’t mean you’re making the course better. I want a learning experience that is curated for a beginner - not to be overwhelmed w choice.

A big improvement. This app has really improved. Now I can view my dashboard, autoplay etc! I have been a Premium Plus member since December and it is definitely worth the extra dollars. I personally would like a little less romanji and English dialogue but I know you need to cater to all abilities. My wishlist for this app would include the ability to just autoplay all the dialogues or create a playlist of just dialogues.

Always in my pocket. I love that I have my Greek lessons with me wherever I go. I also think the way the lessons are structured is very good and builds nicely from absolute beginner onwards.

Really great!. Love this App!

Language. Really helpful really learning a lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed. Had a subscription, didn’t get access to what I paid for. Send queries. Did not get a response

This app is all you need!. I’ve only had this app for about 2 hours and after trying almost every other language learning app out there, this one really hits the mark. I used other apps in the past to learn Japanese and now I’m learning Urdu (which is not featured in almost all other mainstream language apps). If you actually want to learn a language and not just a couple travel phrases this app is the real deal.

Norwegian course review. The translations are often vague or incorrect. The editing is shocking, with the re-takes of errors not taken out of the dialogue. The only value afforded to the purchaser is that there are few other verbal Norwegian language resources available. Not a polished product one would expect to pay for in its current state, but there is potential for improvement.

Fantastic. The premium subscription provides excellent notes and all the features are carefully considered and helpful. Can't recommend this more highly.

Russian help. Clear discussion on how to use important words in context. Easy to listen too and a good introduction.

Japanese Beginners. I am an older person and was starting to think learning a second language was beyond my abilities. The tools provided here to support me have been extremely helpful and my confidence is growing daily. Thank you! You have my eternal gratitude.

the wrong languages in the wrong places !. Updated but have bulgarian in the romanian and romanian in the czech lessons

First listening. I am somewhat disappointed. I assumed there would be video with subtitles in Greek.

Really nice. The perfect app for language learning, it is easy to use and it covers all aspects of language learning (the selection of languages is great too!)

It is helpful.. It is not so easy to self-study a language without speak with a native speaker. But this app is useful for me to track my progress for review and then help me reach my study goal in time. I think I will try to subscribe it again after I memorised about 1500 vocabulary (so I can review all the old and new vocabulary time by time). Not sure if this company have special price(S) for people who wanna try to subscribe two or more languages together.

Fast and Efficient. This app has really helped me learn Korean I am still working on it but there are many reviews and even in paper form if I want to practice writing instead of audios, Soooo organized I definitely recommend this to anyone trying to learn a language fast 😊 Awesome

Amazing. Amazing.2

Best language learning App!!. By far the most easiest to use and extremely helpful language learning app. Covers everything.

Cannot cancel my account. And they still debt my account every month! How do I cancel and stop paying for this??

Trying to learn Vietnamese. Trying to learn Vietnamese

Amazing. I love this language app! Very helpful, easy to use and useful. Better than duolingo 😂im happy i found this app

ACCESS. I have an active Premium Plus subscription and cannot access. I just get ads SayIng need to have an active subscription to access. Very upset! Alan Taylor.

Awesome Japanese Lessons. Just had my first Japanese lesson ("Scary Fairytale") and I gotta say that this is easily the best language app I've come by, and that's saying a lot because I've tried many. Lots of effort and resources devoted to a single lesson. At first I thought you should drop the English intros in the lessons into a separate sound file, but I just noticed the "Dialog Tracks" which cut straight to the Japanese - which is exactly what I wanted! So that means this is a 100% perfectly awesome app especially considering it offers more than 1 language. Very happy camper so far. Will let you know if I find anything you can improve on but so far it looks pretty darn amazingly good. Cheers - ShezzaInAustralia

App still closing down on 2.2.2. This is terribly frustrating, I have deleted the app restarted my iPhone and reinstalled 2.2.2 but it still freezes on sign in then self closes and its still happening on my ipad as well. I have the latest ios and ipad ios.

Recommended. After listening to Vietnamese Podcast 101 I downloaded the app and signed up for a free month long trial subscription. I don't usually buy subscriptions but gave this a try and am very happy! The lessons are well laid out and can be downloaded for offline access. I also really like that there is are PDF lesson notes for each lesson. I am an absolute beginner and within a week I can say several basic phrases in Vietnamese. If you're just starting out, I highly recommend this app - it's much more nuanced than the free apps.

Great!. Love this app, great for home study and also on the go

Horrendously confusing to use. App just doesn’t work in terms of finding what I want and doesn’t reflect what shows via the web site.

Innovative Hungarian. I am so very impressed with this fantastic app for learning language skills. For me as a Hungarian national born in Australia having to learn such a complicated language from scratch, it is indispensable having an app like this to learn this language. To the creators of this app and the people narrating this course thank you thank you thank you. Top.

Very good learning tool. It's really easy to use, and makes learning a language easy too. The audio and video lessons help with pronunciation and getting used to the sound of the language, and then the PDF lesson notes allow you to read over what you learned, or write it down in a notebook, and for languages where you have to learn to write new characters e.g Korean, the written lesson in Hangul with Romanised words and English translation helps you learn to write words in Korean while you learn to pronounce words as well. It's a very nice way to learn a new language, and you can learn at your own pace, because each lesson is only about 4-5 minutes long, so even if you only have 10 minutes a day, you can learn a lot by using this app every day. I like it. I would recommend this if you're looking for a fast and easy way to learn a language, or at least the basics of a language for travel and getting around in a foreign country or something.

Can’t unsubscribe from email notifications. Says I can change option to receive email in app but can’t

Subscription. I've just tried the app for picking up French and Cantonese. It's very good actually as not just showing the words and phases but incorporating them into sentences and daily scenarios. The only thing that holds me back from subscribing is that I have to pay for the subscription for each of the language I want to learn. For example I want to learn French, Cantonese, German, Italian and Spanish than I will need to pay 5 times to subscribe. It doesn't work like other apps where the premium once is paid for goes for all languages in the apps.

auto starts a trial of premium in an attempt to force a subscription purchase.. it auto starts a premium trial to attempt to force a subscription and that prevents me from seeing if someone can utilize this app at all on low income, instant premium trial immediately turning me away as that tells me that nothing is available without premium. so yet another uninstall

Awesome App. This is the simplest most convenient and yet the most effective way of learning Russian in the least amount of time at an unbelievable price, it’s literally a real steal and is one of the best investments I have ever made in my life!

Fabulous Language Learning System. My family is using Innovative to learn Thai. We are native speakers of English, and also know French, so Thai is very different from everything we know. Innovative makes learning this new language really fun. Every day as we eat dessert after dinner, we listen to about 7 minutes of Thai classes. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but over time, and with consistency, it really adds up. We also practice our Thai alphabet (using the video lessons Innovative provides) so that one day we will be able to read and write Thai in addition to speaking it. It is a fun and educational way to spend time together, where we can all learn, and no one has to be an expert. We get closer as a family. I highly recommend it.

Not to clear for the meaning. It’s to hard to cop up on this site

Content is great, app needs work. The program really helps you build an understanding of Italian vocabulary. The app is simply old and outdated

They charged when you haven’t buy anything.. It’s

Promises promises. Broken promises on this app and really tricky to unsubscribe. Terrible.

Better then any other online course.. I’ve been learning Japanese for 1 year and I’ve improved. I renewed for 2 extra years and love the diversity and abundance of options. 5 levels are fine and enough for 2-3 years of study.

Best Online Hindi Program.. Best Program to learn Hindi Online ever. I tried so many different paid and free versions, but Nothing comes close to this program. Best wishes all. Made a big difference to me. For those whose First Language is NOT Hindi, this is the program for you. If you can’t learnt Hindi through this program, your desire will be difficult otherwise. Thank you Mahantji Dr. Balliram Chadee

Very useful and good. Love it my French has been boosted after just 2 lessons

Adorei. Esse programa ajuda as crianças aprenderem a falar Hebraico bem!Isso me ajuda muito no dia a dia na escola

Too many mistakes. I have taken introductory Greek in college and gained enough proficiency to see mistakes in their introductory level. The mistakes are mostly minor but they are many. This assistant lack of quality control gets annoying.

Great app, very useful and handy!. I recommend this it is awesome

You can only download 10 PDF’s during free trial. This app has a vast library of knowledge and it’s very useful for people trying to learn a language. Unfortunately, it only lets you download 10 PDFs for practice. Wish I knew that BEFORE I started the free trial because I didn’t actually download the PDFs (just clicked on them and they are not in my download list) Will not be getting a subscription because didn’t actually get the chance to use the PDFs. And the ebook you get when signing up is nowhere to be found.

Great, but pricey. This app is really great for learning just about any languages. I like the more “formal/professional” format that this app offers which differs from the other app I’ve used which are more based on mini games and such. Even though this app is more centered on serious lessons, it’s not boring and you don’t get sick of it because it’s not repetitive. You constantly learn new things and it’s not just for beginner as there are courses for advanced speakers too! Personally, I only use this app for more complex languages like Chinese and I don’t see the point of using this app for say, Spanish since to me it’s so easy. However, this app is quite expensive because you need to pay a membership to get full access to all courses. If you want to learn more than one language at a time, you’ll have to pay for ALL languages as there’s no way to get access to all languages with one membership… I really only recommend the basic subscription only when it’s on sale, I actually think the subscription is worth it for what you learn and that’s coming from someone who never pay for app’s memberships. Very reliable app in general. A must have for a polyglot and I’ll be using it in the future for Japanese, Korean, Thai and more too!

Plan differences. Want to do the writing assignment but its not covered in basic plan🥲. And the premium plus is a lot expensive compare to basic. It could have been little cheaper

Great resource. Pretty cheap too. They are always giving coupons away. Got 2 years of basic for around $30. That's like less than $1.50 per month. Definitely worth it, considering you are able to download any lesson on the computer and play indefinitely. What is wrong with you people that want everything for free? Calling everything that it's not free “predatory”. It's called business. Entitled people that think every service should be available at no cost are the worst. Watch videos on youtube if you want free content, jfc.

Alphabet. How can I speak Greek when you’re not teaching me the alphabet please let me know! How to read I told you to do scribe me what they write

Amazing!. The voice lessons really help, And its overall really helping me. This deserves more than 5 stars!

Korean lessons. Not really helpful as accepted

Outstanding. Like attending a language class. Lots of resources, too.

missed opportunity. great format, great content. the native speakers are fantastic. but why would you get a foreigner to teach thai? he murders the tones and frankly his voice is so annoying it's difficult to persevere. thai pod should re-record the conversations with native speakers only.

Great, but too expensive for me.. Yes i can use it for free, but it’s just too limited to get any use out of it. I prefer to learn a language my own way for free. There are tons of more effective methods out there without spending a single cent...such as immersion, reading listening, and speaking to natives online. I wish people would do these instead to avoid these predatory and wolf like practices.

New update makes videos unavailable. With the new update, all videos on my iPad mini goes to the side with just one tiny strip showing. Please fix that.

The. Bug. This is a good application but at the video there is a bug and this is not cool

Not good at all. So I tried this app and it’s just really confusing I just downloaded Duolingo instead cause this one is just weird it just shows you people saying words they have not even told you yet so that’s why I just got Duolingo to learn Spanish

Amazing!. This has to be my favourite language learning app ever! Way better than all the other confusing ones I’ve tried. I’d rate this more stars if I could, but I am in love! Thank you so much 😊

Ok. It’s a nice app with a good selection of language choices, even if the lessons are a bit cheesy. Also, within 24 hours of downloading the app I had received NINE emails from them. That’s waaaay too much.

Excellent format. What a simple and easy way to follow the lesson with enough material to look back on. I’m having a blast learning my first second language

Good app, but one annoying glitch. Overall a good app, but the audio tracks don’t often work for me.

Very bad. expensive and low quality

Gracias. Thank you,I travel to Mexico 4x per year, and have started Spanish lessons

蠻不錯的一個軟件. 還不錯哦

Doing the update makes video display unavailable. The app was great up until it asked to do an update. Doing the update makes video display unavailable on my iPhone 5C and there’s just a little strip of display in the corner of the screen and the video starts playing with no place to press pause or play. So when it asked to do an update on my iPad, I refused!

👎🏻. Use to be free

Great app. Great app ...

It what they say they are:). I’m not even through the first lesson yet, and I’m loving it :). It is actually funny hahahaha ! I would 100% recommend to others. P.s I would have used some of the French I’ve learned but I’m not good at the spelling yet.

I wish there was more people who didn’t hav ego pay. There are only three lessons that people who didn’t pay can take for each section. That is it

Make sure you cancel subscription and double check.. Never used this app and the took 300 bucks for a renewal.

Easy way to learn a new language. I love these lessons. They are short so you don’t get bored. I also like all the notes that come with it.

Not a free app. It gives a 7 day trial and they pay pay pay but before getting there everywhere else (website) it says free free free. Disappointing.

Excellent for studying Japanese. Engaging, interesting and effective. Great for studying while out walking or hiking then reviewing later while looking at the app. I like the ability to change the font size now. I'm glad for the auto play audio function but wish it would give you the option to continue to the next lesson as well. Apple Watch support would be nice too. Overall great job! Great teachers. Excellent lessons with many levels.

Auto play glitch. Auto play is great when I’m driving or exercising but the vocals or other tabs don’t work when it is playing the next chapters or sometimes it skips chunk of section

Not really an incentive to join when trial is very limited. Doing the trial before I decide to join is very limited.

Very good learning system!. I purchased the Premium package, a very good investment! The online as well as app have lots of resources with a well structured learning system. I highly recommend this app as well as their online learning (you have access to both when you purchase the package.

Japanese learning. I would like a package of basic unlimited learning or a way to make it free to those who can’t afford it by watching a video ad or something .

Unknown. They mostly have languages that are well known, but I would like to learn another language. They don’t have it though. It is limited.

Spectacular!. Really enjoying the app. Highly recommend! :)

So useful the go. This app is So useful the go- forget the car CDs. Plus great format of teaching. Try it for sure!

Has a lot to offer, among the top, but.... You must have the minimum iOS required. If you had an earlier iOS when you bought this app, you'll need to update your device, or save for a new one that can accommodate the required iOS. I'm in the latter category, but this app is very much worth its price, so I guess I'm heading to the nearest Apple Store.

Too much English. I have been using this for eight months to learn Norwegian but can speak very little. While this program is good at explaining grammar and culture, there is not enough repetition for me to remember phrases and recall them. I also am sick of listening to the intro music every time I listen to a lesson. This would have been ok for a month or two but I wish I had not paid for the year. I have had to pay for some other programs to help me learn more.

App for Finnish lacks useful content. There is too much English in the lesson videos and very little of the target language (Finnish). The app touts having having a "vast" library of learning materials, but there is actually very little on grammar, and what there is only scratches the surface of a given topic, such as verbs. Conclusion is that the app will not get one very far in learning Finnish. It might be better for other languages, but I can't say.

I like the service but the app needs work.. I like the service but the app needs work. I should be able to do batch downloading without baby sitting, and playback is occasionally interrupted. Also with the service itself, never buy it at full price. 50% off sales are super common, and if you’re not seeing one then sign up for the free trial and then cancel your service. You should get an offer in your email.

Hard to cancel the subscription. It is a good app for English learning. But there is no way to cancel the recurring subscription on the App. If you want to cancel your subscription you need to log in website that only allow you to cancel the subscription. I paid one more month that I don’t want because it took me time to find how to cancel it. I think the developers knows this issue but they may not want to change it or this is their business strategy.

Great app but…. Since I have to change my phone and need to log in- and forgot my password does not work. I have been requesting for 3days multiple times a day but I have never received any links to reset. Of course I have checked even my junk folder but there was none. I could not find any contact info for support. So there goes my money … as I have been charged full with NO discount.

Not very impressed. I spent on for a two year subscription and I’m not very impressed. I am learning Thai so I figured this app would help with reading and writing. I’ve only found this app to be helpful for phrases only. Not to read or write or unwritten vowels or how a low consonants with ห as initial consonant make it a different tone. Not happy with I find the Paiboon Thai-English talking dictionary way better. Just my thoughts

needs flashcard function. the app is nice because i can study on the go from my phone, but it does not have all the features found on the webpage 101 class.

So far, I love it!. Right now I’m going through depression, so I figured that maybe I ought to teach myself some foreign language to keep mind busy. Right now, I’m learning Hebrew, and I’m planning on trying learning some Egyptian language next if I can learn another language. I love how you guys have actual recordings and not just robots teaching you how to say a sentence. Thanks a lot! ;)

Love it!. At first I did not know much but now I can show my friends how to do this and learn so they can do so much with other people so I gave 5 stars I think this app is great for doing a lot of hard work for this app I love your hard work it is going well and you should make more updates so I can learn so more and if you do not make new updates it is ok and I love it still keep the hard work up!!!! LOVE IT

Locked out. Unable to get into app after two weeks of use. Paid for two years in advance. Disrupts learning process. Also see that word bank is locked. Not very happy. I wonder what will happen if I ask for a refund. Not good. Not good at all

Great App, Needs Better Kana Practice (Maybe Kanji). I am a level one learner for Japanese, so please keep that in mind. Everything is great so far and the videos and audio lessons are great. I just wish they did a better job of covering Hiragana and Katakana. It would be helpful to have and accessible list and ways to practice the kana. Duolingo is much better at that aspect. Having something similar for kanji would be nice, but that probably isn't practical.

Really great. Free and super easy to use. Audio and visual available to download. I use the audio language on my phone and follow along with the visual language on my computer. There’s a free Ebook to download with the alphabet. Super awesome app!! :) The only thing I’d say needs fixing is when i try to add new vocabulary to my word bank, the app crashes but no biggie. Thanks!

Difficult logging in. I have this app on my iPhone it works fine. Now I have a kindle Fire, downloaded the app but no matter what I do I just couldn’t log into my account. Your tech help sent me my log in n new password twice still couldn’t log in. Very frustrating. I even downloaded the app then pick a different language n create a new account but kept getting a message about downloading problem or check my internet connection. Maybe this app will s not made for Kindle Fire?

First impression: impressed!!!. I’ve tried duolingo, audio books (by these guys), and Rosetta Stone. So far this has been the most engaging, and informal. It allows me to learn at my own pace and conveniently through the app. Native speakers help get pronunciations and give background on everything. There are audio, video, and so much more in this app. I’ll update in 3 months to see if i plateau like I did with Rosetta Stone

Constant issues. This app functioned for awhile but I began having problems logging in as it was telling me that I had no active subscription which is not true. After complaining the app techies gave me some solutions by going to the settings page and restoring my purchases which I did. After a few days I received the same message. I complained again and they directed me to delete the app and reinstall it. I did just that and now it will not let me log in at all. To be quite frank I am totally frustrated with this app. I only have a limited amount of time in the day to study and this app is a waste of mental time and mental energy

This app is pretty good so far. I wish the app had more duolingo type question and answer parts but so far this app has helped me learn some basic conversation pretty well. I wish the app was free for the entire time and still had the same helpful quizzes without having to pay to learn more after seven days.

App is so frustrating!!!. Great content in the lessons, but the app is so dang frustrating! You can’t pause the lesson or move to a different app for more than about 5 seconds before it shuts itself down. So you have to log back in, find the lesson you were on, and try to find where in the lesson you left off. It makes it so difficult to actually finish a lesson if you have to take a break for any reason. Please fix this, because it gets in the way of really helpful content. Or at least add some functionality to pick up where we left off in the lesson.

Fabulous and interesting. I can go as fast or slow as I need. I love the daily word of the day.. using all these apps together I am seeing my Italian grow much faster and my understanding..My man is native so he helps me out as much as he can.. ( he is military) so sometimes little hard.. but want to surprise him when he come home for sure...Grazie Mille ..

Want more advanced lessons by native speakers. I love the repeat button on the dialogue track, but I wish the upper intermediate lessons were longer with more current events like what’s going on in Venezuela. I also wish there was translation available for some of the free talk that is outside of the dialogue track. I also would like to be able to type some of my own words and store them in my Word bank..

I absolutely love it. This app is definitely going to help me stay on track with learning my Japanese. I bought the mobile version and am able to take it on the go and can still print out the lesson plans if I want something physical in my hand. It's $10 a month and it's worth it!

Life changing. I've been a language nerd all my life but every time I sat down to learn a new one, I got bored and gave up. I decided I wanted to learn Japanese so I tried this one out. It's been 3 years using this system and I haven't gotten bored yet. I love everything about it and listening to old episodes is like visiting old friends. I can't hold a conversation in Japanese now and it has changed my life.

Pimsleur works big time!. I used Pimsleur as the starting point to learn Spanish 25 years ago and found it to be the most effective language tool I’d ever encountered. Now I’m using it to learn German, a far more difficult language, with great success. The new app provides a few more tools to learn in additional ways. I’m a big fan.

Pretty Good. So.. I’m trying to become completely fluent in a language (Japanese and Korean), and honestly.. it’s not bad. Compare it to Duolingo and other apps, it isn’t as interactive, but it’s definitely more accurate in pronunciation and facts. If you’re looking for something to help you learn a language, use this. It’s pretty nice, but without premium it’s kind of sad… but it still works! Try it to see for yourself!

Very Helpful. This app has provided many insights into the Japanese language and culture. It’s also very helpful with my high school Japanese class. I have learned very much from this app, and it presents information in a very logical and easy to digest manner. If you are planing to learn Japanese this is an invaluable app. I can only imagine that the other language lessons this app offers provide just as much information.

Absolute beginner. I just started the program. So far, I am really loving it! While listening to the audio you can follow the conversation on screen with english, romaji and kana. You can also view the vocabulary list. And the lessons are broken down into small bite size, making it easy to do a lesson even when time is short, or your brain is spent! I think this program will finally be my key to learning Japanese!

Love it. I have been using the App for several months studying Japanese with the lessons and have been loving it. I really like that there are full conversations, dialogue only, a breakdown of vocabulary and the PDF's. Using all the tools provided has been really great for fast learning. I really enjoy the voice crew too. It's fun to listen while taking walks then spend a little time reviewing after. Very cool program overall.

Thai with Innovative is challenging and fun!. I love these lessons and they are helping my Thai a lot in a short time. I really need this and I’m happy to have innovative. I will the app would have transcripts while the teacher is talking but everything is perfect for me. The assessments are the best part so far. They are easy to understand, challenging, and approachable. Also what I need.

Works well for me!. I looked around for a long time, trying to find the right online German language instruction. Tried many free and paid systems. This one is the one that works for me. The premium package is pricey compared to most others, but the additional contextual and cultural material provided in the lessons makes the extra $$ a little easier to justify.

Great Learning Tool. This is one of the best learning tools for learning French. You study at your own pace with with recorded voice assistance and vocabulary archive and review. The sentences and phrases are practical and useful. One suggestion I have is to add the gender to the vocabulary list. It’s not always obvious from the sentence examples. I often have to consult a dictionary.

Great content!. Everything in the podcasts are great and realistic. My friends are surprised when I know how to say something "only Japanese" would typically know! They also give you phrases that sound more natural than what theyd teach you in textbooks- thanks to the native speakers "Peter" has on deck to pronounce everything the way they normally would as a girl/guy. Ex. Textbook: それはなんですか。 JP101: なんですか?それは。 I bought the Phone subscription. It comes only with the audio and vocab, expansions, videos. But the "add to wordbank" feature isn't included. That was kind of a let down. I thought I could use every feature on the phone just not on laptop features. I'll get by though, I guess. That's what the -1 star is for. みんなさんがんばってくださいね!

Fantastic!. I have been looking for a way to improve the Hindi I learned in my childhood, and have finally found Innovative. It allows you to customize the vocabulary and levels of learning so you do not waste time on material that is far too easy or too difficult. The teachers are extremely friendly and fun to work with.

Great until it stopped working!. Great app until it suddenly stopped working on my iPhone 11 Pro and my iPad Mini. I contacted the company & received a same-day reply that an update was about to be available. .The update fixed the issue, but what a frustrating experience since the problem occurred right after another update! Still, the company came through on this, and the app is very helpful.

Dissatisfied. I paid for Premium+ and learned flash cards are only available on the website, not on the app. You can save the words and they’re saved in the Vocabulary folder, but what’s the point of that if I can’t shuffle the words to try to memorize them? I don’t want to “scroll and click.” I want actual flash cards… Starting to regret my purchase decision. I might ask for a refund since I have 60 days to cancel it.

Ty i just love this app ty for making it. I chose korean because me and my friend wanna learn it and the first lesson was so much fun we kept doing more and more until we were advanced! Now I even changed my iPad language to korean and now i can say hello in korean 안녕하세요 just thankyou for making this app

Swahili lessons lack meaningful explanation. The lessons in Swahili are dialogs given with almost no discussion of why things are said that way, how the verbs were conjugated, etc. Translations are given, but there is so little teaching going on. Still useful, but not nearly as valuable or interesting as it could be. Actually very frustrating. Hearing a long sentence and its translation without breaking it down and explaining details is a poor way to learn. There is plenty of discussion about simple elements of Kenyan life, but so little discussion of Swahili.

Wow. I really love the immersion in the culture. All the nuances of greetings and formalities are broken down and sewn together in a very understandable manner. The romanization and indication of vowels makes speaking new words so easy and easier to lock in the native natural rhythm of the words and phrases. I am looking forward to my next lessons. Bryant

It’s a pretty good app to learn on. At first i was scared to use this app because of the way app worked, and it was confusing at first to learn how to navigate the app but once i got the hang of it the app was really helpful ! it’s so much easier to learn this way too :) Don’t worry if you feel this app doesn’t work, once you get used to it, it becomes easy, and you’ll be able to learn in no time :)

It’s pretty good, somewhat disappointed. I like this app and am learning a lot, however it doesn’t get heavy into grammar. It would be a lot easier if the got deeply into grammar, nouns, adjectives etc.. also work on the importance of gender words and when and how to use them, plural forms, synonyms and antonyms. This app needs to really dig into the language to help customers learn more thoroughly.

Everything I need and more!. I am learning Vietnamese and this app provides everything I need to hear, read, review and note take as I learn. I’m able to review and expand my Vietnamese as I’m on the go and during spare moments throughout the day. I can’t wait to surprise my daughter during our trip with my conversational language skills!

Best and accurate learning app. I've been in Japanese class before. However during summer time when it's such a long break, I like to refresh my brain with this apps helpful podcast. It also gives good phrases that aren't usually seen in text books. I'm prepared to go to J2 now ☺️

Great But One Bug (Im Personally Having). Its An Amazing App Always Worked Well For Me, Though In The Past 2 Weeks Or So Whenever I Go and Open It And Try To Click On A Lesson Or A Test For Japanese. It Will Just Bring Up The Loading Symbol And Sit There, Never Load And I Cant Open Any Lessons At All So It Wont Work. I do Hope This Bug/Issue Can Be Resolved Because I Paid For A Subscription And Im Not Even Able To Use It Currently. Otherwise It Is/Was A Phenomenal App, Very Useful And Very Helpful.

Don’t get this. I really don’t like this app. For starters, I said I was on the beginner level. It gave ma a lesson that should be at the end of learning the WHOLE LANGUAGE. And when I tried to watch a video, it would stop audio and visual until I was so annoyed I just pressed pause and hit it again. It does this every FIVE SECONDS. And I can only get, like, two lessons without paying. The only thing I can really trust worth my education of language is the app “Duolingo.” I sereously and fully suggest you get that instead. I’m not a sponsor and I don’t work for them. Make like some nikes and just do it.

Faith Khechoom. Thank you for putting this app in the App Store. I got it last night and I’m already having fun with it, the videos and the teachers really help with the learning of the language. The language that I’m learning right now is Arabic and I’m of Egyptian decent on my mom’s side so I’m increasing my language skills. I love learning about Egypt and it’s culture very interesting to learn. I hope to go to Egypt one day. Thank you 😊😊❤️!!!!!

Its good. I’ve been using this app for almost 2 years. It’s a great app to learn languages. But, now i couldn’t pause the video anymore. I thought, maybe there was an update, luckily there was. I thought it would fix the problem, but it didnt. And the voice over in the library was still there. I dont know, maybe i should try it again? But anyways, if you see this, can you fix it? Thank you!

Good. I started using this app as an alternative to the website. I find the website a little more user friendly than this app. Reason being, the website seems to be easier for me to navigate when trying to fulfill daily studying in accordance to the study calendar. Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that I use this app 70% of the time to study. And, for what this app provides, and the developers consistently updating the app, it is definitely worthy of 4 stars.

Wonderful app. I have had this app on my iPad for a long time and finally opened it. It is the most awesome Spanish speaking app that I have encountered. Very informative and keeps the listener/learner engaged. I wish I would have used the 7 day trial but even the limited version app is great. Highly recommend this to anyone learning Spanish.

App stopped working for paid membership. This is my 2nd year with their premium membership. However since a few weeks ago, i have not been able to access any of the paid content in the app. When I clicked a lesson (like Japanese Level 3 lesson 99), the app just froze and be stuck with loading icon. This is very impactful to my learning routine and unacceptable for the membership costing more than $150 a year.
