Bad Layout issue. Just downloaded the app and there is a pretty crippling layout issue making it impossible for me to select/deselect equipment. i'm sure it's a fairly simple fix and as a developer myself i sympathize, but i was hoping for a smooth experience.

Almost Forces you to pay. The free version has barely any content and everything is behind a pay wall. It shows you so many things you can do but you only can do a few things for free.

Makes it easy. 12 MA allows me to add structure to my home workouts, essentially getting me to actually do them:)) The demo videos are helpful. I’ve referred this app to others and have heard positive feedback from them as well.

Not what it sounds or looks like.... This App is more of a “trap” instead of a freedom individual workout. You pay $2.99 for just an already set 12 minutes or a 16 minutes workout that you cannot edit nor change workouts etc. In order words, if you don’t like that 12 mins or 16 mins workout this app is pretty much useless. I think you should be able to set your own exercises from the ones available and create your own workout. So if you want to have more of a freedom, you have to spend even more money and purchase one of their “workout packs” which will unlock more workouts. But once again, they are all already set workouts so if there’s one in that workout pack you can’t do because you don’t have the equipment needed, you can’t substitute it or change it for another one. Also, you can’t view the exercise packages BEFORE buying a pack so if you don’t end up liking that workout pack, you’re once again screwed. You should be able to see what you’re buying first!!! They also offer types of programs and a monthly and annually programs. At the end of the day, the main idea of this app is to be a business trap rather then a workout app. I would love my money back for the app and packs I bought. Not happy.

Horrible - waste of $. I paid $3 for an app that has minimal functionality unless you either pay more to unlock the workouts or pay their subscription fee.

Interval. Love the interval timer. 12 Minute Athlete also provides a good finisher to my workout with user defined HIIT. I have recommended it to several friends.

Watch app doesn’t work. Looking for an interval timer that works for Apple Watch so I can do intervals while running. There’s a watch app but whenever I try to open it, it immediately crashes. Otherwise, it’s a good timer! I can set my own intervals and go.

Simple, effective, cheaper than a trainer. Download this app! I've come back to this app many times over the years because it's simple, focused on HIIT workouts and very effective if you're self-motivated.

Not Working. Just paid $2.99 for the app and can’t use it because it doesn’t let me create a log in. Facebook says the app is still in development so it can’t be used to create a log in. How do I get my money back?

Thank you!. Love the app! I’ve had it for a long time now. Sometimes it’s a 12 minute WO sometimes 16 WO and sometimes just something I come up with using the awesome interval timer. I would like to have the option to set the timer to start the rest period first, I use it for running intervals too, I like to start out slow on those kind of workouts. Great workout, Ok platform. Wish there was a little more functionality around workout tracking, goal setting, etc. but core workout aspect is solid

Bait and Switch!!!! Not how you do business!. I’m extremely disappointed. I have been using this app for 3 years keep up my fitness goals. One day I open the app and the features that were previously available, now cost $8 per month. I understand if as a company, you want to create a subscription business model, but if a customer is an early adopter, you grandfather them into the original offering. This is doing the right thing. I hope that the team behind this app does an integrity check with their business decisions. Extremely disappointed. Please do the right thing!

Watch function buggy. I love this app, but, when you pause the work out on the watch, even though the timer stops moving the actual timer does not stop. This causes the beeps to occur in the workouts to change while an incorrect timer is showing on the screen.

Good app for quick HIIT workouts. This app works great on the Apple Watch, and it has a ton of great workouts. Initially I had some trouble with the sign in screen but the developer soon got back to me with an apology and once I started using the app it works as promised.

Was a 5 star. Cannot see the exercises for the upcoming workout until after you start the workout. This is not helpful.

bit buggy. most recent update crashes the app every time i try to select a new workout pack. i mean if you don’t want my impulsive purchase money that’s fine but 😕

Great way to fit tough workouts in as a new mom. I'm a former ncaa d1 athlete and happy exerciser. I have a 6 month old so have been exercising at home rather than at a gym. This app is great! I love the workouts and the timer.

Expensive. Nothing wrong with the workouts, but it’s expensive for the type of content.

Almost a good app. This app has potential but many flaws for someone new to HIIT. 1. No overview video of exercises in each work out. This is essential to creating a good app. Users need t quick overview video to see what’s involved. Clicking on the video after the work out has started is very bad UI 2. Shake device to start work out is annoying, esp when it doesn’t work half the time. 3. Entering number of reps within the work out, bad UI. You’re trying to catch your breath, not mess w your phone.

Need to adjust work/rest intervals. I love this app, and workout routine. Minimum equipment and time, high intensity, excellent results. Just enter you equipment, shake your phone, and get a randomized workout. Super easy. The only reason I give it 4/5 is because I’d like to be able to adjust the work/rest intervals. It defaults to either 50 on / 10 off or 30 on 10 off. I.D prefer 15-25 of rest.

Wasted 3 dollars. Bought the app. Tried to signup and it wouldn’t go through on either of the two available signup features. So I just wasted 3 dollars on a useless app that taking up space on my phone. Don’t waste your money! I’ll change my review if the developer contacts me and either refunds my money or fixes the problem. I highly doubt that will happen. 👎🏿

Bugs fixed. App works great after bug fixes.

Good for it. This is a good app. Do a few rounds if you want, do a few more if you can. Great hiit workout and appreciate the free benefits. Looking into buying the year subscription.

For men too?. I'm prior military and have been in sports like baseball, football, and even MMA since I was 4 years old. I'm a father of 5 kids which all have after school activities and I was looking for something that can have a quick workouts but still have the intensity I've been missing. I thought this was more for women but I can assure you, these workouts are tough for guys and yet quick, exactly what I needed. Love it!!!

Does not record workouts on Health App. This app does NOT write workouts onto the HEALTH APP as implied on the description. So if you’re using your Apple Watch it doesn’t register that you’ve done a workout. Aside from that, the workouts are so simple you might as well try others with more features like STREAKS WORKOUT or SEVEN.

Update is a scam. This app was working just fine for YEARS and now the new monetization strategy completely hamstrings what used to be a nice timer and planning app. What a waste.

Nice for the price. There are explanations for the workouts but it would be great if during the cool off intervals there was a quick explanation of the next workout so you don’t have to stop, tap info and watch a longer video. And something similar for the watch as well.

Disappointed. I have downloaded this several times and have been unsuccessful at creating an account. I was excited to check out the app and give it a try. That, however, is hard to do when you keep receiving an error message telling you to accept the terms and conditions when you have already done so. Disappointed and annoyed.

App glitch makes is minimally functional. I am paying for this app and can only access the new workouts. ALL other workouts have a blank screen. I can press go but I will never know what is in the workout until it shows up in the interval. That is no good. I have reached out through the website with no response so I have to amend my 5 star review down to one because it no longer works properly even with reloading app (after which you lose all data,) restarting and updating phone. I’ll be canceling my subscription if there is not an update soon to fix this bug

Not what it says it is. You download that app and there’s nothing really there. You have to subscribe and pay more money but they don’t even show you what you’ll get for more money.

Need to fix “saved workouts” function. Good solid app that I’ve used for years and have the annual subscription. When I try to access saved workouts, the app crashes. Please fix and it would be 5 stars. Workouts are awesome!

I was disappointed. I was disappointed because you feels like a trap to continually keep paying for more. There was no preview of programs. I thought I’d get more than one program

Ugh. I bought this app years ago and loved that I could shake it for a new workout sequence. It was such a good product. Over the years, it’s changed. The app became glitchy. I had to email customer service more than once just to log-in. Now it’s a subscription model, which is not what I originally paid for. I paid for something under certain terms and now the business doesn’t honor those terms. That’s called bait and switch.

App won’t load!. Hate to give a lousy review but this app won’t load on my iPad, my wife’s iPad, my iPhone, or my wife’s phone. Turned off VPN. Would love to give it a fair trial but it won’t let me. Tried before noon multiple times and now this afternoon. No luck.

Busy RN mamma gets sweat on!!. I love this app! It takes 12 or 16 mins a day to get your body back. It has pre set workouts which I like and can change it up to cater to your workout equipment. I like the circuit type training because it kinda forces you to just go and not think twice about the intense workouts. Definitely recommended 🙌🏽👍🏽

Great simple app but.... Really love the app. Simple, effective and fun. I love being told what to do for a WOD. But I’d like some sort of history so I could see what I have done and when. Also wish there it spoke to the Apple Health app so it could track exercise and such through that like most apps do. If you have an apple watch, this exercise will be lost.

I like the simplicity of it. I enjoy the simplicity of not needing to choose a workout myself. I wouldn’t consider this a full on workout plan but it is great for a quick hard workout boost when needed

Great app!. I just started using this app after recently leaving CrossFit and the workout options are more diverse with more options for changing things up than I’m used to. I love it so far, and it’s super user friendly.

Good content but mediocre UI / tech. I got this app because I wanted to use my watch exclusively without my phone. That promise is partially delivered. The phone needs to be in range to start any workout. There's no way to add the app to your watch homescreen. You'd think they'd program that so you use it more. It's unclear how to stop or pause a workout - Maybe this by design? Eh. The redeeming factor is the workouts themselves. The content of them and the portion of the UI while you're doing the workout

12 minute athlete. Nice app just wish I could design my own workout with the exercises they provide. Some of the exercises I can’t do so would like to add ones I like.

Great App. One of the best and easiest to use exercise apps I have come across. I recommend this and it’s functional movement to my patients. This routine is great for the ‘time poor’ who want results.

Reduction in workout variation. After paying for this app a few years ago and with the recent upgrade, there seems to have been a sudden reduction in the different variations of exercises. It appears that for me to have continued access to different exercises, I now need to subscribe.

Worst. Font. Ever.. Maybe a good app, but the font for the times and timer is horrible, couldn't get past how unreadable it was while trying to do a workout and look quickly at it... Makes the whole experience utter garbage. I'd skip this one.

Motivating, professional & user-friendly!. As a runner & physio student I am no stranger to exercise, but hate the gym & needed a kick to keep me on track during winter. This app & program is THE BEST, the HIIT workouts are super easy to fit in to a busy schedule, the format is fun & easy to use, there are endless options & videos to show you how to do each exercise if you don't know. Best HIIT workouts!!. This is the best fitness app i have!

Vibrant and useful. Nice app with cool styling. I like that it refreshes the work-out list every day. There are nicely made explanatory videos on each exercise. Suggestion: make the text at the end of the videos stay a bit longer. On the irritating side: it is a paid app but my own statistics are not made available to me if I don't pay the monthly subscription. I understand that all the other premium benefits require a subscription but not that I cannot consult my historical stats. Otherwise, a great app.

Add audio count down?. Loving the mix of exercises, and the easy-to-see-while-working-out screen. Could you add an audio that marks the half way point and a five second count down at each interval?

Works. Had issues with it freezing and being unable to register because of it. Few days later tried again and could register. Tried some exercises and seems to have a good variety.

Convenient + effective. I love this app, it's helped me immensely & the improvements in my fitness have been huge. Wherever I am & regardless of how busy I am, I know can bust out a quick workout using no equipment and very little space. My kids even try & "do exercises" alongside me. Excellent app!. I absolutely love your app! Such a great variety of short but high intensity workouts. It would be great if you could add resistance bands, the bosu ball and dumbbells to your list of equipment in the future. Login requirement. What a waste of time. Now they want your email and password. Just want to work out not login all the time. Bad move people

Please fix your database. I like the app (would normally give it 5 stars) but it hasn’t been working properly for a while. No exercise library, no new workouts, not all of the exercises are unlocked (and I’m a yearly subscriber), and an error message on all of the videos. If not fixed soon I’ll be unsubscribing and asking Apple for a refund.

Fantastic. This is so challenging and yet the interface is wonderfully simple. I personally am quite happy with a HIIT workout that is timer based rather than playing videos throughout but I love the video support in case you're confused about what an exercise looks like. Have never encountered glitches or bugs in the system, which is the genius of this system. This is such an underrated app. *ps- I would love the ability to make my own 12 minute workouts based on the exercises provided.

Great App. I like how I can choose which equipment to use and the workouts will be created for that specific workout. The timer is also great for interval training.

Don’t always works. When the app works it’s perfect. But sometimes I just don’t see the exercices.

Best. Workout. App. Ever.. I am extremely picky w my workout apps, I have downloaded dozens and dozens. This one is by far the best. If you want a quick, crazy hard workout, and fast results and you DONT want to spend any time making a routine and having to go to the gym - this is the app for you.

The only app I use every day. I recommend this for anyone who wants to start an exercise program and can't seem to find the time. I especially like the short, optional instructional videos that go with each exercise.

Subscription Payment?. I downloaded to try but I got an email asking to confirm so I did. Then I went into the app and it says something about billing. I did not agree to anything about paying so I want to confirm that I’m not paying for something I don’t want but the app’s interface is horrible for figuring out such a simple answer. So, am I paying for something I don’t want? If so, how the hell do I cancel?

Bye-bye bat wings. I really like this app. It works well and the workouts are fun and get a good sweat going. Each exercise has a video so you know how to perform it. I highly recommend it!

It’s Okay, but it could be better. The app is really nice and you can pick your own equipment or no equipment and I love that about it. But having to shake the phone to get a workout doesn’t work all the time. Overall, I think it needs some adjustments but it’s very useful especially if you’re traveling.

Awesome App!. This app is awesome. It lets you pick what equipment you want to use, the length of the work out you want & even has a built-in timer. Fantastic!. It takes the thinking out of you HIIT workout....all you have to do is focus on the exercises! You don't get bored either....the workouts are too varied and challenging. I try to use it 6 days a week. I've worked out most of my life....had a baby a year ago, and a business owner....so not a lot of time to workout. I've dropped two Jean sizes in 6 months and am feeling strong and fit. I tell everyone about this app! LOVE IT!! Thank you!

The only workout app you need!. I've been using this app for almost all of my workouts for the past year and love it more and more with time. I've tried almost every workout out there (classes, crossfit, yoga, running, and all of the other highly rated workout apps) and this workout gives me as good or better results in a quarter of the time! I've become so addicted that I've now been buying all the equipment to diversify the workouts a bit. One of the best parts is you can tailor the workout it generates to any scenario, which makes it so much easier to not make an excuse to skip a workout. AND, the accompanying blog has even more custom workouts and all sorts of other goodies. Suffice it to say, I'm addicted and all of my friends I force to try it are now too. Best money I've spent on an app EVER.

THE BEST WORKOUT APP!!!. I love this app! It is so easy to use and has everything you need to follow the workout. The timers are automated and integrated into the workout so you don't have to keep track of the intervals. Also, the videos are very helpful if you aren't familiar with an exercise and need some instruction. I like the feature that lets you choose workouts according to equipment you have available, including no equipment/body weight only. This app is worth every penny! For me, this app removes all excuses of not having enough time or the right equipment to do a workout. I can do a 12 minute body weight workout anywhere.

Issues on iPhone 4S. I”ve been using the 12MA app for a few months and have been very happy with it; however, the latest upgrade seems to have issues on the 4S. The internal timer comes up with the START and SAVED INTERVALS over laid on the times/interval adjusts; however, when you go to adjust the rest interval, for example, when you go back to the interval screen, the only option you have is to go to “Saved Intervals”, you cannot start you workout. I would also like to be able to build my own HIIT workout from the exercises on the app. I did to do the random workout builder and it kept giving me the same 3 - 4 different set of exercise. I think this upgrade needs a little more tweaking to fix some of the bugs.

Love this and it's REALLY only 12 minutes. I am not at all in shape but now I do this every morning before my shower. Sometimes I modify the exercises to fit my fitness level or if I am sore in an area from the day before. It gives probably hundreds of ideas for exercises and I can go at my own pace and track my progress. I feel like my heart and body are already stronger for it!! And again it's only 12 minutes. I'm giving it 4 stars because for me, some of the exercises are WAY out of my league. But if one like that comes up I modify (wall push-ups instead of handstand push-ups) or choose a different exercise altogether.

The apple watch app does not work. It always show loading

Really need users to sign up? seriously?. When I was ready to use this app to workout, it asked me to sign up. Really?! You couldve asked it early on like when users downloaded the app and checking it out, not a few days later when to start working out in the middle of a field!!! Problem was there was no other way to avoid signing up. I already paid for the app and still I have to do something to use it? What a huge inconvenience. Plus, shaking part before starting timer is stupid.. Please, we don't have to shake phones to get ready to work out.

App doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money

Easy to use and I'm seeing results. The app is easy to use. I like the explanation videos and that I don't have to have a lot of equipment. I have noticed that if you do use just the app then the workouts are very similar. I follow along the blog usually and use the app timer for the workout. I am progressing in my strength, especially my back and arms. I look toned not big and bulky. Love it!

Pleasantly surprised!. After being consistently disappointed by exercise apps, I didn't have high hopes for this one. However, I was wrong! Awesome app, great simple features. Super easy to use and because of that, I'm staying consistent using it. In pretty fit but with not a whole lot of time --- this app is a challenge and so easy to fit into a busy schedule. I highly recommend it!

Great app for HIIT. Really good app. There is a variety of HIIT exercises that include pull-ups, dips, kettle bells. You can go for 12 minutes or 16. There is also a challenge mode. The app will put a routine together for you and you can change it if you don't like it. There are videos for each exercise. It has a timer as well. Very nice app to combine with MyFitnessPal if your counting calories.

Lost 25 lbs quickly. As someone who used to spend hours in the gym this has changed my lifestyle. I do 12 minutes of this followed by a 2-mile run everyday, while keeping calories at around 1200 per day. It only takes 35 minutes out of your day. I've lost 25 lbs since March 22.

Great App!. I LOVE this app! I have added it into my weekly workouts and have seen such a difference! Is there any way to disable the function to add/save your reps on the new update? The keyboard that pops up covers over the "up next workout" and I have to push save to get it to go away. I'm not interested in keeping track of my reps, so it's just a pain to have to take up my rest time trying to get that off and figuring out what's next. Thanks for making such a GREAT and affordable workout option!

No excuse now to not workout!. This app makes it so easy to get a varied, quick, hardcore workout in. From the built in timer to the videos explaining the moves to the selection of workouts based off of equipment one has available, this is a godsend. Who doesn't have 12 minutes in their day to do something good for themselves?

Simple and effective. This App is very user friendly and effective. The workouts always have a modifier to help with beginners. Love the quick access video tutorials. I love that you can save a particular workout. Would be nice to see a log to record your progress. A warm up and possible cool down selection would make this app perfect! All in all, I will use this every day with no excuses!

Just Perfect!. This app is just perfect for people with busy schedules. I have a full time job and a 7mo baby at home and this app has helped me get back in shape and stay in shape. All you need to do is pick your work out and before you know it you are done! I highly recommend it!

Awesome!. I've been using this app for over a year now - I love the ever-changing quick workouts. I usually write down my workout and then use the interval timer to make it a 20 minute workout total. The intensity is high if you are self motivated! I always end up super sweaty! I do this workout 2-3x a week and then run the other days. I like everything about the app!

Convert!. I have been a 12 min athlete fan since email days and thought I was doing well on my own. Kept up with workouts using free app. Then one day on vacation I needed more and purchased the app. BEST MOVE EVER! So happy with all that it offers. I see my fitness level improving! Fantastic start to what could be an even better app. My requests: - Sync with the daily workout on the website, would be great to have a "Do today's workout" feature. - Audible warning when getting toward the end of an excercise and into the rest period, as well as when to start the next one. text to speech would bee icing on the cake for this so I don't have to look at the device as I'm excercising.

Best Fitness App. I've been doing 12 minute athlete workouts for almost 2 years now, and at 38 I'm in the best shape of my life. With two little ones at home 12 minutes is all the time I have to work out, but with this app that's really all you need. These workouts will challenge all fitness levels. Originally I was attracted to the body weight only workouts, but over time I've added a few simple pieces of equipment and I feel that's helped a lot. Can't recommend this app highly enough.

12 Minute Athlete!. I have tried many exercise apps and none compare to 12 Minute Athlete! I love the timer and the workouts are random so I'm never stuck in a rut! I never miss a workout even when I'm on vacation because of the body weight option. I am excited to take it to the gym as well!

12 Minute Athlete Rocks!. A multitude of exercise combinations all at the shake of your iPhone! :) The app is easy to use. Explanations and videos accompany all of the exercises. Videos of the exercises are especially helpful versus just having pictures of them. I like being able to choose the exercise equipment you have and/or want to use before the app designs your workout, including body weight only routines.

Buy it. This app is amazing. Very simple and gives you solid workouts that make you feel it the next day. I've done the 16 min workouts twice and you actually sweat and get a full body burn by the end. Adding audio to kick off the next exercise so you don't have to look at the screen ( say if you have your phone in an arm band) would be helpful. No excuses!

Totally amazing.. I've always been a person who makes excuses to not exercise but using this app has made me a convert to fitness. You can workout at home with no equipment or adjust your workout to any fear that you might have. The app is simple and straightforward to use with just enough information for each workout. I do this every day and sometimes my kids join me. It's often a push to get through the whole set but it's always worth it. The new update with Apple Watch functionality and more options for workouts is really fantastic.

Fantastic!!. Easy to use, I love how the intervals are pre-set so I don't have to set my interval timer. I love how I can customize my workouts based on what equipment I want to use (or don't want to use). I love the options of 12-minute, 16-minute, or "challenge." Good fitness app to get started but could use an "add exercises" option. The concept and user interface on this app are very cool. The shake to change workout is awesome (sometimes I just don't feel like doing burpees!) This would be a five star app if I could add my own exercises. For example, I used a suspension trainer (think TRX) for many of my workouts prior to 12MA. It would be nice to add some of those exercises into my 12 min workout. It's also a little crossfit-ish. Not a bad thing, but things like "wall balls" and "air squats" are CF staples. The ability to add and delete exercises would eliminate the feeling of being part of the cult. Overall a good app though, I would definitely recommend it.

I appreciate the variability!!. I bought this as a way of mixing up my routine. I wanted to find something that was more dynamic than lifting weights, which is something I love to do. I enjoy that every time I use it, the exercise is somewhat different. I am often sore the next day, which is good. I do the 16 minute workout then take a minute or two water break before doing a 12 minute and that is a more complete workout than either alone. I will someday purchase the extras but right now I am happy with what they already provide!

Perfect Quick Workout. Love this app! Easy to use and great workouts. I had the free version previously, but would lose track of which exercise was next. The small charge is well worth the benefit of preloaded workouts. Another reviewer suggested adding the ability to opt out of certain exercises and I agree. (Certain exercises destroy my knees.) But overall, best workout app I've found!

Very Solid. Came across this app on NotCot (design blog) where it was noted for its clean UI. Have been doing similar routines at home and this just makes everything even easier. I have no excuse while using this and feel like the work outs are well rounded. Definitely would like to see long term results but only time will tell. Great work to the folks who had a hand in making this.

Great app! Huge timesaver!. I've tried a handful of workout apps and this is my favorite. I love the simple design and built in timer tools. If you're in to fast, intense, time-saving workouts this is the app for you. The creator is constantly adding new workouts and the tutorial videos are a huge help for learning new exercises.

Pretty Cool. 34 y/o male 6'0" 160 lbs. I was trying Freeletics for a while. I couldn't really hang physically. I would have gotten there eventually, but the time needed was a big deal for me. For my goals of just keeping fit with mainly body weight exercises, this 12 Minute Athlete App is perfect. To be honest, I just sneak off at work and find a place to knock out my workout. I plan on getting some minor equipment for the house so I can do different workouts. I want my wife to start too. Try it. The time really flies by. For the first time I actually look forward to doing my workout and being done for the day. Plus it's only 12 minutes. So there really are, "no excuses." I like your bangs FYI. I like the views from the locations you shoot your videos from. I live in Houston, so I'm envious. Keep it up!!!

Does one thing and does it well. Too many apps try to do too many things and end up being complicated while not doing any one thing well. This app is not like those apps. It is simple to use and has one function: provide simple, ever-changing workouts. It was worth the money.

Dumb. This app won’t let me sign in and it’s kinda getting on my nerves #RUDE

Intentionally hobbled. This app is missing really basic features- being able to create your own custom workouts. You can't even pick which exercises to add to a workout - you have to actually shake your phone to switch anything (you can't even push a button!) Worst of all, a number of things are hidden behind an extra paywall. And not like specialized custom training. The app proudly announces that, even after spending money on the app, if you want to unlock ALL of the exercises, you have to do additional purchases. Very frustrating. Wish I had never purchased it

Love HIIT and 12ma. Best HIIT workout. Beat the system with these super fast, killer workouts. I have no idea what the login issue is. Never was a problem for me. Also, settings let you chose of you want to shake the phone or not to get the workout. I personally have fun "rolling the dice" to see what workout will come up. Best features I've found in a HIIT app so far and tutorial videos are fast and perfect.

Awesome!!!. I love this app and am a super athlete user. It's $4.99 a month, the cost of a cup of coffee. Good Gym memberships range from $155 to $205. Not to mention how much times it takes to get to class and god knows if you are going to get the necessary equipment. I purchased all of the equipment from Craigslist and try incorporate weights where I can. For step ups, I will do dumbbell (db) step ups, db lunges, db sit-ups and etc. I like to do 20 minute workouts as I find them the most effective for me. So, I jot down the exercises on a board, set the 12 minute athlete timer and go! Best workout ever! I am so out of breath that I don't record my reps and prs but I count my reps each round. So I have an idea of a total rep count. Advantages: - time saver - simple yet effective exercises -great for anyone - great exercise demo - amazing timers for interval, amrap, stopwatch Best money I have ever spent!

Nice little app!. Figuring out what exercises to do has often been a barrier to me. This app is absolutely perfect for overcoming that barrier. Wake up, shake the app, and get to it. Beautiful interface. There are some features that could make it even better (e.g., the ability to sub in/out specific exercises or the ability to generate routines focusing on specific muscle groups), but this is a really solid app. Don't hesitate. It's a great app and totally worth $3.

Impressive. I'm happy to have found this app. I wanted to do high intensity work outs but wasn't sure what exercises I could do. This app has videos for every move so all I have to do is motivate to workout, I don't have to think about what to do or how to do it. It's nice to not have to pay a gym membership.

Good app could use a little polish. I really like this app and would probably rate it a little higher if not for two things. 1. When recording your reps the keyboard opens to the QWERTY layout instead of a number pad. While this may seem like a minor gripe it is really inconvenient when you only have 10secs to enter your reps. 2. Call me cheap but I have a hard time justifying the $4.99 for the so the called 'super athlete' when I can get all the new workouts for free on the website. While more convenient the value just isn't there for me. Maybe a slightly cheaper subscriptions for the workouts? Just to reiterate, I really like it just some minor gripes that are holding it back from a 5⭐️

Former Crossfitter. I first downloaded this app for HIIT workouts on the run. I quickly found out that these are effective enough to replace my expensive crossfit membership. I love how much time these 12-16 minute workouts save me each day! Even with just body weight I can get a good sweat on if I push myself hard enough and I feel stronger than ever!

I'm making an exception, b/c this is a great app.. I never (as in, NEVER) write app reviews. But 12MinAthlete is a truly great app, delivering exactly what it promises, in a clean, intuitive experience. Short of actually doing the workout for you (except... um ... wouldn't that defeat the purpose?!), this app is everything I had hoped for, and more. Whether you stick just with all the routines that come with the app or elect to purchase the upgrades, this app is a great tool for anytime, anywhere, no excuses high-intensity training.

Truly, no more excuses. It's only 12 minutes and you can even make it less if you really want. Although the looks of the app may seem boring who cares? You won't while you're exercising! Id love to see the developers add more exercises though as I'm not very creative. Love the feature of a tutorial of every exercise. This app really does motivate me to get a good workout or two in every day.

First 12 minute workout.... The APP is very easy to use, has great instructional videos if you are not sure how to do an exercise, and i most enjoy the equipment options ranging from body resistance only to a variety of non traditional equipment. I chose body resistance only for my first 12 minute workout and i loved it. Great workout!

Awesome workout app. Excellent app. Very well designed, great workout randomized to keep you motivated each day. Options for body weight only or equipment based moves as well as workout duration. Also includes an interval timer as well as explanations for each move that link quickly and seamlessly to a video demonstration if needed. I've been a fan of 12 minute athlete on the web for some time now and this app is exactly what I would have hoped for!

Great time saver. I really like the HIIT workouts this app provides, I started to see results from 6 day a week workouts in just 2 weeks. It doesn't take a lot of time, and even if you don't have much equipment you can still get a good burn. My only critique is there are a lot of exercises on the website that aren't in the app. I wish there was more crossover there, especially for busy people on the go who don't have time to watch a video try & remember the sequence (but end up having to go back and watch the video 2-3x anyway)

Great workout app!. I really love this app! It's amazing that you can get such a good workout in only 12 minutes and using only your body weight. There's so many options to make it customizable to you and these workouts can be done anywhere. I've already recommended it to many friends!

Excellent app!!!. I do all types of workouts and yoga...biking and running. This app not only rivals all my other workouts, it is awesome for those days when I don't have time for a full workout but I need to do a little something. I also love that I have it at my fingertips when I travel.
