Not worth 2.99. Don’t waste your money, all it does is create a shortcut icon to the app, you can’t actually change the icon for the app itself. I wouldn’t hate on it so hard if it was free but at $3 it’s just not worth it

Great!. I discovered this app a year or two ago, after one of its competitors did not update their software to the latest iOS version. (I use this in conjunction with Launcher program - Using them for different features). This is the best app that I’ve found for creating standalone shortcuts. The last upgrade, which really increased the Library of available shortcuts, is great! I use it as a shortcut to several different programs. But the single biggest thing I use it for is to open a blank email that is pre-addressed (to myself). When I get to work on Monday morning, I typically have anywhere from 5 to 15 emails that I’ve sent myself over the weekend! (New ideas or reminders about things) All it takes is pushing one button on my home screen to bring up that blank, pre-addresses e-mail. Thanks!!

Good app. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it though

Stupid program. Don’t buy this program!! I thought initially it was nice, but every time you go back and forth between the app and another app it restarts itself cancelling out whatever you were in the process of doing. Having to start over. Say you set up a screen button for your work schedule. You click on it, looking at your schedule and wait, need to look at your calendar. You move to the calendar and back to the schedule which is now closed and you have to re-login and get to the pool lace you were. Stupid!!!

Wasted money. Terrible app. All I wanted to do is change icons like phone and mail. No go.

Kinda works?. It makes a shortcut, but that’s it. Will not load any image I select for the new icon. Do not download. Junk app.

The free version works great but.... I would give five stars for the way the app works. It is very user friendly and you can use your own website URLs in addition to the thousands in their database. But: #1 there are very few websites that I visit more than a few times and thereby need to have them on my home screen as icons. #2 there are only a very few Icons on their database that I can used to replace replace the ones that I keep on my home screen. (perhaps six or seven of the 50 or 60 that use)... for those two reasons I would give perhaps one or two stars. So far the overall rating, as an average, my Rating is three stars. I hope the Developers will find a way to replace the apps that are bundled in my iPhone to start with, with the great icons that I would like to create for myself.

Fabulous APP -WORKS GREAT!!!!. This app is absolutely fantastic and works as advertised! i’ve been using it for years now and really rely on it. The support is also equally exceptional - same hour or same day response! 5 BIG STARS!

Suspicious. I love the idea of this but I didn’t know it scanned all of my apps. I understand why it might have to do this but didn’t like the idea so I deleted it.

Very helpful. Was super easy to customize an icon to launch any app I wanted it to.

Ok But. The app is ok and it does exactly what it says. It would get 5 stars if it had a better variety of apps and icon notifications letting you know you have a message. You will never know you have a Emil message if you don’t click on the icon.

Bad. The reason why I give this only one star is because I payed for this and it not coming up and the app I set it up to be

Not good. This app was super complicated to use and I did not like it at all. Definitely would like a refund for it.

Misleading functionality. I was lead to believe that the app will allow you to edit or modify apps names and only after downloaded realized all it does it create shortcuts to websites or a shortcut to an app that already exists but you can download the original app which defeats the purpose of editing the name. Wish I could get my money back.

App does not work-crashes. Well I paid $2.99 for this app excited five the 4.0 star review. The app will not even load. It’s just black, spins and crashes my phone. Plus there is no way to contact them other than leaving a review. Hopefully they will be issuing my refund soon.

Awesome. Don’t know why people complain about this app. It’s great and does exactly what I need it to do. I was able to change the ugly music icon to a PanterA one, very bada**.

Keeps crashing. Crashes every time I try to open it.

Badges?. Any chance there is a way to still have badge notifications using this app. Can’t tell if I get a msg. Unless I keep the actual icon still on the home page to see it there. Kinda defeats the hiding purpose. Other than that it works well!

Waste of Money. I found better apps that don't charge and provide more. I regret wasting my money on this.

Garbage. Don’t waste your time or money. Using iPhone 7 iOS 11.2.6 and doesn’t work at all.

This is an excellent app.. It makes you easily able to customize your phone and create a unique look that no other iOS user will have. Similar things can be accomplished with the shortcuts app but it’s not nearly as easy and intuitive and is definitely worth the buy. 10/10 !

The app doesn’t work!. The app dose not really make the app icons change I watched a lot of videos on how to use the app and followed everything correctly and even reset my phone and it still didn’t work I’m very angry I just wanted to change my icons and instead I wasted $2.99 on an app I’ll never use again! 😑 I hope this is helpful and people don’t make the same mistake I did! Good luck finding an app that works!

So limited. I paid for this app and it has a so limited range of apps. No the ones I need. I want my money back.

Doesn’t work, only crashes. When I try to open the app it goes thru two set up screens and when you get to the third one and press Allow Notifications the app shuts down. Dev please fix, I’m running latest ios on iPhone 8 Plus. Thx

Not worth 2.99. The creator should be paying me not me paying them. The app doesnt overide the app so basically i is just another app the i dont want on my homescreen. would not recommend. You might aswell get CocoPPa It is free and does the sane thing!

Keeps crashing.. It has potential, but the app didint really have what i needed. Frequent crashes and no way to look for the thenes I want are available.

Won’t download. I downloaded this app thinking “oh this will be fun” .I pay for the app wait for it to download and still on the “installing” and I can’t delete the app. Sorry if I came off as rude but it was on my mind

Doesn’t work correctly. I just downloaded this app and it doesn’t do what it’s suppose to do. When i went to add my new icon to the screen it shows a screenshot of the page that tells you how to add it to the screen as the icon. Worst $3 ever spent

FIXED! yea! share extension fixed!. developer response is fast! using share in the app store on an app to more directly get this iconical app to work to make a shortcut on a particular app is better than waiting forever for all possible shortcut-able apps to load in this app. thanks!

Disappointing. I was really excited to get this app. I went through and changed a bunch of my icons after I paid to get it. But it is so annoying to have to go through a pop up window and tell it to open an app every time I click on the shortcut. Yes, I want to open that app. You don’t have to ask me every single time. It ends up taking longer to open the app with the shortcut than if I had clicked on the app itself. Love the idea of being able to customize my icons on my iPhone. I don’t know if this is just a thing with Apple phones or what, but it got so annoying I just stopped using it. Not to mention the dozens of blank black windows it left open in Safari each time I opened an app via the shortcuts. If any of these things change in the future I’d be happy to use this app again, but until then I’m afraid I won’t be using it.

Will update to 5 stars if.... Bookmarks should not redirect to safari. I wanted to use this for a website that has app functionality when bookmarked. Redirecting to safari isn’t what I wanted. Other than that the app does what it says. I don’t understand the negative reviews. Seems like the less tech savvy don’t understand this is a workaround for the lack of permissions apple gives to devs/users.

Good app. Can you add ‘infinite painter’ to your list of shortcut apps?

Don't do this. You can simply add your own picture in shortcuts, and it doesn't hide apps

Did not work. I wasted a lot of time with this. Finally changed the look but the icons would not open the app. These are 2 very common apps- nest and waze. Disappointed

Not bad but could use some variety.. Just a note it would be very nice to see support for more popular apps specifically gaming like for an example pocket Mortys and not 1000 links to Snapchat that I don’t even have o.O support for more apps would definitely get a 5 star rating! This is the app for people that want to change their icon skins without the usual bookmark stall.

Does what it says, but has some downsides. The fact that the shortcuts don’t have notification badges was a downside I didn’t consider but understand, but the shortcut remaining open in your app switcher is one that should be fixed if possible. The brief delay in opening the app is also a small price to pay for custom icons. All in all, it’s good but not perfect.

👎🏽. I purchased the app changed one icon tried a second then app just closed then tried twice to open app both times locked my phone so I deleted app then downloaded again still won’t work please fix this otherwise I just wasted $5

Almost perfect. I’ve been looking high and low for an app where I can change my phone’s icons into my fave pics, and I was so happy I found this app on wikihow. A couple of frozen moments and not able to change all icons was a bummer and it took a long time (I have a lot of apps). Overall, I’m very pleased with this app.

Wasted 2 dollars. I bought this app with hopes of updating those ugly app icons that the app manufacturers haven't bothered updating, this only works with about a third of the apps I own which don't need altering! Why can't I replace an app png with a higher res one? They look all shiny in the app store, waste of money.

Just use Shortcuts. Was looking for an alternative to using the Shortcuts app for changing icons on the homescreen but this app does the same redirecting thing.

Doesn’t work for iPhone X. The share option only gives me options to send my app to people and doesn’t give the option to save as an app. What a waste of money.

Fun. Fun little app, best for making bookmarks

Just what I was looking for. I had a handful of website shortcuts on my homepage. The icons looked terrible. Downloaded Iconical. In just a few minutes I had replaced them with great looking icons. Very nice app. We'll done!

Doesn't support web apps. I bought this app thinking it could change ANY icon, but it does not recognize web apps (Safari shortcuts saved to the home screen). Those are the apps that need customization!

Lots of potential. Effectiveness hinges on other apps accommodating it --hope it gains traction.

It's great!. Love this app, the only complaint I have is to have more supported apps that a majority of ply would use. Ex:Kik, SC, etc

it’s the paid version of shortcuts. don’t waste your money. you open the created icon app and create your new icon. doesn’t do to original icon but make a new one that just opens up the app after you click “ok”

Awful App. What Darren Jones, the developer, forgets to tell you in the details is that it is not actually changing the app icon. It is creating a safari bookmark and pointing to the app location. WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

DONT WAIST YOUR TIME!!. This app appears to solve all your problems but what they forget to tell you are a few important details: 1- this app dose not change your current icons - it creates new ones that are attached to external browser links. 2 - like I said in #1, these new icons are external links that sling shot you to the app. 3 - you are very limited with how ur app opens and there is no app memory of your last visited location. Don't waist ur time creating new icons like I did!

Paid for app, won’t launch. Wish I could give a better score, but can’t even use app. Would like money back....

Waste of money. I bought this app kinda on the edge about it not knowing if it was good or not but upon opening it I immediately knew it was total garbage. Once it finished downloading I tried to open it and my phone crashed for a sold 2 minutes, after I finally got into it it tried to open my music app multiple times which the rendered it useless. 0-10 would not recommend.

Good, if you know what your getting.. You CANNOT change the icon of apps, Apple won't allow it. This app allows you to create a new icon that likes to an existing one. If that's what you want than this app is a very refined solution.

junk. they falsely advertise changing icons. they do not all it does is make a webshortcut for apps. coulda did this manually without this software, and the thing is the manual process is faster then this apps process. RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't waste your money or hd space. All this app does is creates a shortcut through Safari and puts a bookmark on your homepage. So every time you "shortcut call" someone it opens a new web browser then launches a new window with the phone number that you have to click the call button. So the so called shortcut requires 2 new open windows and still requires you to press call. Same number of steps as calling someone from your favorites list, only way more annoying.

Wheres the Iconical Cloud?. Great idea, simple layout, but not much much use if I don't have any alternative app icon graphics to import. The app says it will make our submissions available to the Iconical Cloud for other users, but I can't figure out how to access or browse the Iconical Clound. Happy to update my review once this changes. If its a future feature you need to explain this to your users.

Absolutely Awesome!!!. I don't understand how some guy says "only system apps"! I strongly suspect it's a PBCK error there! The app supports a gazillions user apps and more importantly, the author RESPONDS, and really tries to help. Over and above other app authors I have dealt with. Sorry the max is only 5 stars here. Should have 9.9 😎

3 stars for now!!. I'll give it 3 stars for the time being! Reason is that when you set up a direct call icon it doesn't directly call the person you still have the pop up that says call number or cancel! I made the icon for a reason to directly call the person so it shouldn't give to call / cancel option it should just direct dial! Other than that easy to create icons and pretty self explanatory! Fox the one issue and will get perfect rating from me! Also wish you could create and icon for messaging where you can add multiple numbers so it automatically opens a group text, right now your limited to only having one number per icon you make.

Love it❣. You know those unsightly webpages that you save to your desktop? Now you can give them an icon! I save an image/logo from the webpage to use for the icon. Works great!

Looking for more. I was hoping to find a way to remove the names from beneath the app icons. This can create a replica of the icon via a shortcut created through Safari's "add to home screen" option, but it won't have the badge app icon notifications. I wish Apple would build in the option to remove the redundant app labels.

Not bad. It shouldn't be $2.99 but I at least color coded all my apps. Maybe work on getting more apps available. But it's easy to work with.

I'm mad. Pardon my French but this app is a piece of crap. I'm not one to get paid apps but I got this one so I could make my period tracker look like not a period tracker and all it did was create a duplicate icon going through safari that was customizable. Don't waste your time or your money on this app

Bad. Only makes alias icons so the original app and icon are still there somewhere and it only works with a few apps. Most apps I have can't be changed with iconical.

Safe?. Seems like a decent icon issue workaround, but it also could potentially be a sandbox security workaround. I’m not making assumptions… but what assurances are in place to verify to the end user that it isn’t going to proxy copy sensitive information?

Not that useful. Cannot replace most system icons. The ones I could replace like safari and gmail bring up another screen before bringing up the app.

It was meant to be different. It made me think it would change the appareance of the icon instead of making another one. This makes me mad. I payed for something that doesnt do what I wanted it to. If its possible I'd like a refound.

Love this❤️. I got this idea from a friend to change the icons of my phone. This works very well! I have had no issues but only suggestions. If Snapchat and wattpad could be added to the list of apps that work, it would be even better

Great App. A bit of a learning curve...but does what it says it will. The only shortcoming is the number of apps supported. 17,000 may seem like a lot...but out of , what, a million plus? Hopefully more will be added going forward. Worth the money.

Best app. I have been using this app for a while it's awesome. I don't have a jailbroken iPhone so I use this to change my icons to what I want

Phone Launch App. If you can modify every action to "Launch App" that would be much appreciated because just calling one person in the phone app isn't that rad. Yet again love the app but, just a suggestion as well as it would be freaking awesome !!!!

Best, simplest icon personalization app. I'm giving this app 5 stars for two reason. One, the other reviews are very unfair. There in no icon maker app the can do what they want. You will always have to keep the original app. Thats true in any app of this kind. I love the simplicity of this app. Creating icons are easier then any other similar app I've used. If you want goofy skins, boarders, then this isn't for you if you want to create an modified app in seconds, this is the app for you.

Make work for iphone 7 please!!!. this app is amazing if you take some time to learn about it it could bring a whole theme!! please make it work for iphone 7!!

Trash. The app wouldn’t even work. Takes FOREVER to load and it doesn’t even work.

Broken. I didn't plan on using Iconical for the dubious function of replicating my icons with icons of my own liking; however, I was pretty excited about being able to invoke other apps and, say, go to a URL. Well, I configured a link to a URL using the Chrome app it worked for a few times. However, it seemed to be cacheing the data since it was not always current - I had to refresh it. Going to the same URL within Chrome, the refresh was not necessary. However, the big problem is that somehow you will lose the link to the saved URL and you end up, within Chrome, on a page you have visited previously within the Chrome app. If then you navigate to the URL that was programmed into Iconical the app works for awhile, until it breaks again, of course, you often have to refresh to get current data.

Not worth it. This app is not worth $2. I have many free apps that are worth more to me than this one which is worthless and a waist of $2 because I deleted it. I don't even want to use it. It has to open your web browser to open the app you created which isn't a trade off worth making in my opinion. Plus why make a app for a contact when it takes more steps hitting the contact shortcut app you created and then hitting "yes" to call when you could just ask Siri to call them in less steps. it's just stupid in my opinion and not worth it personally. Just re-learned the lesson of not purchasing a app until it has been reviewed a handful of times. At least I can be the one who saves people there money and time on this one this time.

This is stupid. This doesn't change the icon at all. All it does is create a second icon of the app with the name and image of your choosing, but it in no way disguises an icon.

Yowzer. The whole app is a great idea and it works very well, but, to my horror, it will only change the icon of apps that are on some unknown short list of apps that are compatible with this app. None of my apps that I wanted to create new icons for we're on this list!!!

Great app!!!. It's Easy to use. It allows you to customize your iPhone with ought having to jail brake your device some handy when It comes to sending a txt or opening a website on a flash. Only thing I can think of is Mc tube would be greatly be appreciated thanks!!!!

Only two complaints. 1) very few apps are supported by this app. 2) if the app supports an action, such as "new message" in the texting app, you have to use one of the actions. You can't simply open the app. In email and texting you have to compose a new message instead of just opening to inbox or the messages title screen. Kinda annoying.

BEST APP EVER. I wish I could give this a 6 star rating wouldn't work for a year then I was about to delete it and it decided to work

Alright. Could Use Improvement.. This app pretty much does what it says you can create your own custom icons with different pictures and different names. Can't upload my own icons but that's probably just user error. I expect this app to be better in the future as more updates come out. One annoying thing is when you create a contact/call icon it takes you to a black screen and then asks you if you want to call that number. I obviously want to call that person. I touched the icon. Could be simplified to just tap the icon and it calls that person. YES THIS APP DOES CREATE A DUPLICATE ICON BUT JUST PUT YOUR OTHER ICONS IN A FOLDER ON ANOTHER PAGE.

Read reviews!!!!!. One day I will learn. Look at the negative reviews before throwing money into the garbage. If you are buying this app, just skip the hassle. Take your $2 and walk to your garbage can. Throw it there. At least then the types of people that release this stuff to the world won't get it. What a pain this is. You lave to log in every time you want to open an app with their "special" icon? And launch a browser? I'm nervous now that I used my fingerprint and all to launch this. They already stole $2. I hope they don't steal more.

Perfect customize app. What can I say; it just works. There is no other app that can do what iconical can do ;-) and questions are rapidly answered by Darren also a big + ! Keep up the good work!

Not what I wanted. I really don't need two of every app I create. It only works if you keep the original app you made a new icon for. I am not that O.C.D.

Horrible App. It doesn't let you create an new icon and then replace the old icon. You need to keep BOTH app icons. Defeats the purpose. So for every icon I want changed, I have to create a new one and then also keep the old icon somewhere. It clutters up the screen.

Native home screen launcher. This app lets you create custom home screen icons to launch apps. Adding url scheme's to the home screen is not a simple request. Doing this without the help of this app requires some scripting, not to mention still needing an icon. The dialing issue some have complained about is not the calf of this app, but is instead a limitation of the phones url scheme. Well worth $1.
