Slow customer service in case of urgent need. We were left to pay for a flight for a family of 5, after many problems with the airlines and last minutes changes of destinations. With an infant, a toddler and an older child, the Kiwi customer service was not able to understand the urgency of our situation and left us hanging (in another country in a city we didn’t know or had resources to help). We hoped on a flight after being assured by them that they will refund it and were left hanging when we did the claim. I would not use their service again. It is not worth paying a bit less and then not get any competent support in case you truly need it. I would rather pay more and get real help with customer service. Last but not least, they lied about making the refund. They said they had a confirmation number and whatsoever but we never got any refund in our account. So on top of being incompetent the fact that they lied about it made us feel terrible. The app was useless as we had to do everything over the phone or by email! Stay away from it!

3 Months yet no refund. I booked a flight through Kiwi thinking okay let’s just give it a go. They changed my flight date, so I called to change it back because it was necessary for me to flight on that day so then there was no point on me making the whole trip. They did not answer my call saying they were only taking calls for flights within the next 14 days. Due to COVID restrictions I ended up not traveling, but I called beforehand to see if everything would be ok and I would get a full refund. The assistant that answered the call told me just to process my refund and everything was going to be fine. I went ahead and process my refund thorough the app. It’s been three months since that happened and according to the app my refund request has not even been reviewed, and they don’t answer calls to flights that are not within 14 days. I don’t know what to do anymore!

Poor customer service. I used Kiwi in the past without a glitch. Two months ago I ordered a ticket for Dec. 20th. It was confirmed and I was charged on my visa for the ticket. When I went back to the app. 2 days ago, there is no sign of the ticket I purchased. Trying to get ahold of customer service has been impossible. I hit a brick wall because without the booking # I couldn’t reach anyone. I finally put all zeros in for the booking number and finally got a response. 3 different People from the company have now emailed me asking for the same information. I was never sent an email as promised at time if purchase and now a week before my departure I have a bill and no ticket or info about the purchase. If you are planning to use this company, beware. I have now filed a dispute claim against them with the credit card company for a refund of my money. In the meantime I started at square one booking with another carrier for an extra $250. Please be careful.

Horrible Company, changed my flights and ruined my vacation. At first this seemed helpful and like a good deal. At the very end of the booking they had confusing tiers of "guarantees" that were more than double the price of my trip. I went without a "guarantee" and within 1 or 2 days my return flight was changed by more than 24hrs. This was unacceptable as I wouldn't even be in town to catch the flight. The customer service was extremely unhelpful and the representative barely spoke English. I was given no alternative. I finally got ahold of the actual airline directly. I was told that they had been trying to email me to offer an alternative, but Kiwi had been receiving the emails and not forwarding them, essentially hiding the solution from me. I was offered solutions and eventually fully refunded for the changed flight. I am appalled at how Kiwi handled the situation, and would insist that no one else use their services. 2 stars only because the app was very functional and nice to use..

If i could give this company zero stars I would. I booked a trip from Madrid to Santorini with a layover in Rome. The flights were two separate companies. I got boarding pass for my trip from Madrid to Rome but when I landed I saw Kiwi was unable to check me into my other flight. I had a 4 hrs lay over so I called the company they said they were on it. An hour passing nothing, two hours nothing so I call again and they say the same thing. I then email them and message them on the app trying to figure out how to get on this plane. An hour before boarding I call and they tell me my case is “urgent”. Finally I find some flight attendants to help me check into my fight and guess what im not even on the flight. The plane is about to leave in 20 mins and there is nothing I can do to get on the flight. The next flight that leave is the next day at 6:30 AM. So as I watch my plane leave Im stranded in a country I don’t know with a language I don’t know with no place to stay and no idea what to do. I called Kiwi once more asking what I should do and they said they would email me with “options”. It’s been 6 hrs and Im still at the airport waiting these “options”.

Amazing!. I feel terrible that I waited so long to do this review. ... sorry about that. These guys were amazing! I took a flight a year ago (!). The airline, though everything was in order, wouldn’t let me board with my service dog. And don’t argue with me - I found out from their mouths (customer service) that everything was in order. So I missed my flight. Dealing with the airline was no help. I was going to make a new reservation myself. But prices had skyrocketed since my original reservation. So I thought, why not call Kiwi? Maybe they can help. They not only got me a better set of (and shorter layovers) flights; but also dealt with the original airline! Completely above and beyond. And at the same, original price, with zero extra fees. It’s why I always try to use them. Love you guys ❤️!

DON’T book through this SCAM Company!!!!. I had to cancel my then fiancée’s flight due to the coronavirus back in May of 2020. Gave them more then the 48 advanced required notice that I needed to cancel the flight due to the fact her one of her layover flights got altered. I wasn’t gonna have her stranded in some other country when all this was going on. Called multiple times to be given nothing but the run around,called so many times that the flight details are no longer taken. Oh did I mention too you don’t get to talk to an actual person right away you get to deal with an automated machine that requests you punch in your flight details and if it’s too old then it hangs up on you! Was told multiple times that I need to wait ex amount of time and my refund is on the way ( typically wait 4-6 month’s and call back if still nothing has shown up ), also was told I should talk directly to the airlines myself to get my refund. Why the heck should I do that when I hired this scam company to book the tickets for me?! I will keep hounding this scam company until my hard earned money is refunded back to me!!! DON’T BOOK WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!!

Never again. Tried to book a flight and had flexible dates. But I didn’t realize that the flights were for a whole week later than I needed. With in 4 minutes of booking I realized the error. I quickly looked up their cancellation policy and say that if I cancelled before confirmation I should be fine to get my refund. I electronically canceled but it said it was processing still so I went ahead and called just in case. The agent kept trying to rebook me and I said no as the flights were too expensive. Then she said well your flight is canceled but you’re not eligible for a refund…. I was like I followed your procedures and read your policy. I am eligible. She kept leaving to ask questions. Finally while she was gone I noticed a change that gave me my full refund online so I went with that option. But the $20 I almost saved really wasn’t worth the anxiety of dealing with these people. Never again

Had to by a new ticket just to get a person. Used to be great, now they’re a bunch of scam artists. You can only call them for help if your booking number shows your 2 weeks before your flight or 2 days after. Otherwise the automated message will refer you to their online support, which is useless since they don’t get back to you even months later. Out of frustration bought a ticket I don’t intend to use to get a real person on the phone. Paid $15 extra for guaranteed refund. Called to discuss my old much more expensive flight, and why I had still not received credit or a refund after 9 months. They were no help at all. Was then told it was also not possible to get a refund for the $60 dollar flight I had booked less than a half hour before. Out of their minds, which is a shame cause they used to be good. Go with a more trusted booking site or directly with the airline. Not worth the “savings.”

⚠️SCAM ⚠️. I booked a trip from Atlanta to Istanbul and furring this trip they messed so many things up it was unbelievable. First thing they did was book a different connecting flight for me and the person I was traveling with. It made us push our flight 5 hours and wait extra at the airport. On my he way back they, for one of the connecting flights they did not add the luggage that I paid like $700 extra for. Gave me an issue and had to wait extra as well. That was not all. I had a last connecting flight from Washington to Atlanta. I was coming from London. The drop off was at they Dulles international airport at 7 and the next flight they booked it at a completely different airport in Baltimore An hour and15 minutes away. Even though my flight was 2 hours after. Customer service is the worst. They barely speak English and will pass you around from one person to the other making you repeat everything. You also cannot speak to a supervisor ever. You will be on hold for a long time. All and all, worst experience of my life. I will NEVER EVER use this site again and you shouldn’t either. You’ll thank me later.

Kiwi is garbage. I agree with Charlie’s review. When a flight change occurs, Kiwi is not helping you book another flight for free (even with insurance). I had a flight via United that was cancelled by Kiwi, telling me that the airline cancelled it and that they were not responsible for it. The email came from Kiwi. I was already at my gate and had to be on this flight. I went up to United Customer service and they told me that they did not cancel my flight nor did they cancel my booking. She re-issued my boarding pass and told me not to worry. Meanwhile, my wife was on the phone with Kiwi explaining to them that I was already at the gate, but kiwi representatives insisted that my booking was cancelled and that it was done by United and not then. In order to take another flight I would have to pay money again. What a scam! Imagine if I was on the way to the airport and they sent me the email/notification that my booking got cancelled when it actually hasn’t. Thank God I was already at my gate and United took care of me. Not gonna use these idiots again.

WARNING this company is a scam/do not book through them. I used this company for the first time this week and have never had such a bad experience traveling. The customer service was horrible and you talk to a different person every time when you talk to them through their customer service. Not only that but I explained to them my problem, they gaslit me and told me things couldn’t be done in time even though it was before there deadline. When it did pass the deadline I told them I had reached out and they denied it. I had them re read through the conversation and they again denied that they had done anything wrong. You will pay extra fees at every airport if you have any connection flights. I paid in total $200 for my flights at the beginning and by the time I had finished my trip ended up with an extra $300. Save your money book through the airline you want to fly. You’ll thank me later

Uncompromising but did what little they could. I have changed my review from 1 star to 2 star. Buyer, beware! Make a mistake and you pay for it so don’t make a mistake. It may be cheap, but they are uncompromisingly difficult. Even after 10 seconds of realization it took nearly 6 months to get the situation resolved - a credit of the flight purchased, which, of course means to use that credit, I will have to try them again sometime in the future. Hopefully being warned and aware about their uncompromising policy, which are not stated over the numerous pages that they try to upsell you before purchase— frustrating you to the point of wanting to just be done with the whole process. WAIT and triple check everything. Their calendar starts on Monday not Sunday so it is very easy to make a mistake and you will PAY!

Actually had a good experience. I saw all the negative reviews and was a bit worried. And I did end up missing a connection due to a delay. Kiwi promptly offered some itineraries that were free, but they were terrible (50 hours to get to Chicago from Dublin, and 5 connections). So I ended up booking a direct flight on my own. And to Kiwi’s credit, they confirmed a partial refund within 24 hours of me booking my flight home. So Kiwi did exactly what they said they would do. And I got exactly what I paid for (I didn’t purchase the full trip protection). All of that said, Kiwi’s rating on the App Store seems to be inflated by reviews of questionable authenticity, so make sure you do some due diligence before using the service. And keep in mind that you are using a lowest cost possible service…so if you expect to be treated like royalty you need to temper your expectations.

Don’t use their service. Worst customer support. No phone call options unless it is 14 days before trip. When I was booking travel with them, because they never returned my money due to COVID restrictions and instead gave me credit, I tried to apply the credit to a plane ticket purchase. I had the credit selected and also my payment information. I purchased the ticket thinking I would never have to use their service ever again. Well I look at my credit card statement less than 24 hours after purchase and I was charged the full amount. When I contacted them via “chat” they said they cannot apply the credit they have to my purchase. I contacted them several times and they will not apply the credit and refund me that difference on my credit card. Stay away from this company. It is the absolute worse. I will never use them again, other than to try and get my credit that they have.

You Probably Won’t Save Money. I’m giving it 2 stars because my trip actually happened but not without hassle. I booked an overseas flight and the flight was cheap. I bought “insurance” (they sell you all different kinds of these) but the one I selected didn’t help me when one of my flights was canceled. They book flights with various airlines for one trip and you have to rebook if one flight gets canceled. I ended up spending way more than if I’d just booked through the airlines. Long layovers. I didn’t get a checked bag. I didn’t get to pick my seat, I had to do my own transfers. No online check in. No anything. In the end, I paid way more for a lot less. As a final note, my fiancé had her flight canceled due to COVID-19 and they just would not refund anything. They gave her like $100 credit on a $700 ticket. I’m not going to use again. It’s a straight up gamble.

BEWARE! Stole my credit card information. WOW...Do your research before buying through this site. Shortly after buying my ticket my cc information was stolen and someone tried to fraudulently purchase hundreds of dollars of goods in my name and address. I am horrified. Thankfully my bank stopped the criminal and I have figured out their location. I am connected to high authorities and if my flight does not go smoothly I will report this company immediately. I am suspicious that although I have paid for my ticket I don’t see my spot reserved or reflected on the airline database. This company should learn that dishonesty is a sure road to massive failure. Hopefully my flight goes well so Kiwi can earn a better review. UPDATE: I changed my review from 1 star (due to poor information security & lack of customer service communication) to 3 starts because my flight from CLE to MSP went smoothly and I paid a great price. However, in the future I will not make the mistake of purchasing via third party companies, & I urge you do purchase tickets directly from the airline for peace of mind.

Do NOT use Kiwi!. Save yourself money and hassle and book through the airlines! If ANYTHING goes wrong with your flights Kiwi will NOT do anything to help you or to compensate you. All their extra $ add-ons are completely bogus and a big scam to get money. I paid for the extra customer service, so that I could get premium service if anything was to go wrong (which it did), and they didn’t do ANYTHING to help. It was a complete nightmare. I needed to do a simple name change and i called Kiwi for 3 months trying to get them to change my name. NOTHING. They literally told me that they didn’t have The time to be on hold with the airlines to change my name. I even made a formal customer complaint and I was never responded back to you. And get this… I finally called the airline and begged them to change my name. Once they did, Kiwi noticed I changed my name and they emailed me trying to charge me $10 for a name change fee!!! I could not believe the audacity! I told them to screw themselves and that i wasn’t paying for anything. Do not ever book with Kiwi, you will never get a refund, never get the help you need, and you better pray that nothing goes wrong with your flight . BOOK THROUGH THE AIRLINES!!!!

Never ever use it. It is 0 star rating. No, it should be negative star. I spent more than $1000 on my international flight. It says it is booked and confirmed. Then, it told me that my ticket is modified due to the flight carrier change. For alternatives, my options were to pay triple (~$4000) for alternatives that have 2 stops and takes about 40 hrs to travel. And the other option was to request a refund. I requested refund on last year on early November. Guess what. All I hear is that it will take approx. 3 months to refund. And when I call, they won’t answer anything because my ticket is already “travelled”. So I am stuck here just waiting for ever to refund my ticket that is worth more than $1,000. I saw other review that it has been 5 months and still no refund. I should have read it first before I book via Kiwi. I tried to save $30, but it cause me a long term investment that grows 0%. So if you really want to invest for a few months or perhaps years to profit 0% or less(consider inflation). Kiwi is the way!

Fraudsters of the lowest order. Kiwi sent me a message a few weeks after I'd booked three flights with them saying that one was canceled and giving me two choices: rebook one of them at a significantly (about three times the original cost) higher rate, or cancel the entire trip and ask for a refund. I chose option #2, and before long received a message saying that the carrier/airline had refused to refund the other two flights. Meanwhile, many weeks later I'm still waiting for the refund of the first canceled flight. Then I rebooked (NOT with Kiwi this time) on the same airline, and I noticed that in the airline app multiple flights were showing up. This was...odd. So I called the airline and asked what was going on. They informed me that the other two flights were never canceled. So in other words, Kiwi straight-up lied to me when they sent a message that said the carrier had "refused to refund me the other flights," since they had never canceled them to begin with. Also, the airline had sent the refund quite a while ago, and Kiwi never bothered to pass it on to me. Well, then. Enjoy your ill-gotten gains, Kiwi. But you're definitely a fraudulent company in my view.

Book through the airlines.. With the recent travel restrictions imposed by the US due to coronavirus concerns, I was, at the time of my calling Kiwi, unable to make the trip. Since then restrictions were changed, but during my phone call I discovered that Kiwi will not budge on refunds even when there is a global crisis that prevents thousands from traveling. In my past experiences, airlines are usually able to make some kind of compensation for the trouble. I had a saver ticket, which I thought would be fine if I weren't making changes for personal reasons, but extenuating circumstances would be handled differently. Not the case here. That said, when everything goes well, Kiwi has fantastic, responsive customer service. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone was incredibly polite, and had clear and concise explanations, which I can appreciate even if they frustrate me. Even during the crisis, hold periods were quite short. I’m disappointed that their dedication to the customer experience doesn’t translate to actual measures taken to do the right thing in a global time of need. If it weren’t for my experience trying to explain to them that a global illness should be a fine reason for a partial refund at the very least.

Company will squeeze you for money. While buying my ticket they will charge you to choose your seat and start charging you small fees one after the other, which will gradually increase the final price until you realize you are hundreds of dollars above the originally stated price. I bought a ticket to china and they gave me an itinerary that required me to stop in India and go through customs. They did not explained this to me before I bought the ticket. After buying this ticket and discovering this they refused to refund my money because it has been past 24 hours. Mind you they took 6 hours to send me confirmation. Any questions about the flight that I had they told me to call the airline. And on the same day of the flight at 2am they emailed me can’t check into my flight to please contact airline. Don’t use this website they will squeeze you for money, give you terrible flights without details, and than refuse to refund your money.

Trip inconvenience. Kiwi is not usually able to give a confirmation number to get boarding passes for any segments of trips, so prepare to stand at the ticket counter in all your connection terminals. Kiwi also does not have access to all flights - I could not book on the same flight as my traveling partner through Kiwi but was able to do so through the airline website (at a cheaper $5) price. No customer service phone available during the trip ( although it became available after trip was supposed to be completed). Trying to Reset password was a complete joke and timed out twice. I did find proper connections but it just was not worth the “saved money” to spend hours of time to get boarding passes.

Too much trouble for little savings. Hi, I used this app for a short trip. I would not use it again. The prices were ok but not Wow savings. The flights looked a little funky as there was a “connection” on the way back but it turns out even though it was the same airline we had to clear immigration in UK, recheck the bags and go thru security again - the flights are treated as separate. For the sake of convenience they check you in automatically to your flights. When I went to print my boarding pass a day before, to my horror I discovered I made a mistake when buying the ticket: I had misspelled my last name. A call to kiwi customer service did not help, I was supposed to scan my passport, email it to them and wait 48h for an answer to see if it was even possible to change the flight back, for a fee. For my first flight I was told I was on my own. I was lucky that Norwegian made the change for my first flight right away. I called Easyjet later and they did the return flights changes free of charge, no passport needed. I will not use this app again.

The worst booking app.. I want to INVITE everyone to DON'T use this platform because you can lose your TICKET and MONEY. On December 22, I bought a ticket that I had to cancel because the airport in the city of Madrid was closed due to meteorological issues and it would not be possible to reach my connection. When I tried to cancel my ticket, I didn't have the opportunity to contact the customer with any line, since for this type of situation I don't have technical support, I only received a message in the app saying that my money would be returned 30 days later. Until today, January 28, I’ve tried to communicate with an advisor but nobody answers neither my emails or my calls. Just as it can happen to me, it can happen to you. The question that arises from all this is whether Kiwi's purpose is for users to reach their final destination or to buy and not use their flights and to avoid responsibilities they do not have technical support or only have it if they buy insurance

The worst company and worst app (please avoid). Not only does this company fail to book flights, they claim flights are cancelled when they are not—they just didn’t book them. In the end Kiwi will leave you stranded, exhausted and paying for overnight hotels, or sleeping on airport floors, paying taxis in between terminals as your flights are “cancelled” or not booked. The agents are just repeating scripts and will say they can’t help you. First flight was delayed 7 hours and I contacted kiwi each other and they refused to grant me a new flight claiming the original flight have taken off on time. Had to submit photos of the departures board to prove to them our flight was delayed 7 hours. On top of this the app is a joke. Doesn’t show all invoices, designed to make understanding itinerary changes incredibly hard to read, and the best part…when you click a link inside the app or from the email it doesn’t track that your logged in…that’s right, the links inside the app take you to a pop-up window that prompts you to login AGAIN…so when you are sleep deprived and frustrated running in an airport you will then have to log in multiple times. ***The software engineers and UX designers of this garbage app are either truly soulless or have zero shame*** NEVER USE KIWI…please fellow humans. Pay the airlines directly—in the end it will cost you much less.

Has taken over 5 months to get a refund. Worst booking site out there!. Do not book through this company during the pandemic!!!!!! I booked a flight through this site. My flight was cancelled about 2 months before the departure date. I filed a claim to be refunded. They told me it could take up to 3 months to get the refund. It has been 5 months and still nothing. I had to call the airline myself to thing the refund started as Kiwi has not even made a phone call yet to the airlines..... The flight was cancelled so by law they need to give me a refund. It took them 24 hours to bill my credit card, however it is taking 5 months to credit me back. We are in a PANDEMIC Kiwi! People need their money back. The 800 number won’t take my booking number because they are “only dealing with flights in the near future at these times”...... what about the people that have been waiting months to talk to you?!!! Long story short they won’t help me get a refund and they don’t have a phone number to call... customer service is awful!

Wow they weren’t playing about cheap prices. I’ve been planning a trip to visit my best friend on the other side of the world and all the other apps to claim to have the ‘cheapest flights available ‘ either went higher or were just the same copy/pasted flights with copy/pasted prices. I was bout to drop $900 on a flight till I found this app, going for $680 instead!?! That’s insanely cheaper and cuts half my expenses ! Not to mention the layovers for the flight are exceedingly shorter than the +13 hour layover the other competitors had!! So not only is it cheaper but also way shorter in comparison, more time for me to spend with my friend!! Highly recommend for penny pinchers or people in need of a genuinely good company to book with 😊

Cheap Flights but Horrific, Slow, and Unsuccessful Refunds if your Booked Flights Change. Updating to 3 stars because a refund was obtained following this review posted below. I want to preface that Kiwi is not always a scam because I have successfully flown through flights purchased through the website/app. However, should an airline change occur (even by the airline itself), you are almost certainly doomed. At that point, it is my belief that Kiwi scams many of those customers. For example, it took me over a full year to get a refund for an airline canceled flight during the start of the pandemic, and even then, it was less than the purchase price and valid in “Kiwi credit” only. This wasn’t a scam, but it was a highly undervalued refund. Stupidly I gave Kiwi a second chance for a flight in May 2021. The airlines canceled my flight, and it took a full 1.5 years for Kiwi to reach out and say (and I quote), “We regret to inform you that the carriers haven’t provided a refund for your trip…we have to close your refund request.” After following up, I was told yet again that a refund wasn’t possible—even though the airline canceled my flight. So is Kiwi a scam? Not always, but you can easily get swindled if your flights ever change—even if it’s the airlines canceling a flight. Think twice about whether or not you’d rather risk your money or spend a few extra dollars to be safer by booking elsewhere. In my opinion, never ever book with Kiwi.

Total scam - do not use. I paid $3200 for me and my kids to fly to Florida for spring break. Less than a week before we were to depart, Kiwi informed me that the round trip flights were cancelled by the airline. With the saver trip I booked, I understood if we were unable to go on the trip we’d be out of luck, but never did I expect to pay for a flight that didn’t exist. I browsed kiwi to see if we could rebook for anything, and somehow the budget airlines were thousands more than when I originally booked. I requested a refund and never heard any response. No response to customer service requests. Warnings all over the site saying they’re too busy to take calls. It doesn’t seem like there’s anyone running this scam of a company, they’re preying on families trying to trace on a budget and totally screwing over their customers. I tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company and it was accepted, but then eventually kiwi fought it and I was recharged. Guess they have time to talk to the credit card companies to keep the money they stole from me.

Maybe consider them when covid is not a thing until then don’t. As a seasoned 1M miles+ traveler (was actually using them to help get to Antartica) I’m always looking for good travel partners and reliable travel sites. But, from unhelpful customer service to plain stupid and counterintuitive rules (I get change fees but when you/the airline change the entire flight by hours/days multiple times to the point where I’m going to miss my connection AND charge me for it the entire point of using you to save money is rendered moot) this app is not it. Just cancelled today during a global pandemic and got an $11 refund on a ~$500 ticket which is a whopping 2% back (further gold star for telling me my flight was “refunded”). Wish I’d gone with the actual airline spent another $100 bucks and called it a day. Maybe you guys are better when covid isn’t a thing, but I won’t be back to try again.

Don’t do it. My advice is to just spend the couple extra dollars, book direct, and save yourself the headache. And READ REVIEWS. If everyone is saying the same thing it probably not a coincidence. Usually those are 2 rules I live by but being at the end of my vacation I was trying to be cheap and was only reminded why I have those rules to begin with and consequently, I’m going home sooner than I wanted .This is my first time ever using kiwi and I do not recommend it. It’s impossible to get ahold of anyone and the amount of work it took to get the best of the worst case scenario I feel like I had gotten a second job. I paid extra for flexibility and it only flexes in kiwi’s favor . I got scammed. So all in all I lost about $350+. I could have spent 1/3 of that booking direct &saved so much time, effort, and ofcourse money. I did get a good laugh at their website claiming to be created by Traveller’s . It’s like a group of travelers wrote down everything that would be great and every thing every traveler would hate , gave the list to the website design company who then switched the lists and voila ! Kiwi was born . :(

Don’t fooled by the lower price. Kiwi says they guarantee the delayed/missed connections. What they don’t say is they sell you a ticket looks like they are connected but actually they are separate. Airlines don’t take responsibility of the missed connections. Even though it was known that I would miss my connecting flight before getting on the plane, Kiwi would not reroute me. When I got to the connecting flight airport, there were no flights out of that city to my destination. Kiwi would take 2-4hours to make a decision when it was already 8pm and I had been traveling all day. When they came back they offered a longest trip possible and not even to the city I was flying (nearby city). Because I decided to book a different flight, they did not pay for the hotel and already paid hotel at my destination. They refunded the flight I missed but not the amount shown on the ticket. Each flight was priced separately on the ticket because they were not connected flights and from different carriers.

Helps find deals. This is a great app to use to help find deals, and routes using different airlines. The problem is when you book through them. They tell you that you will get your boarding pass sometime between 48hrs and 0hrs before you leave. That is a problem, especially if you are trying to plan ahead and print out your boarding passes. Also, adding luggage can be hard after you purchased the ticket. I still haven’t been able to figure out how to add luggage after a booking! The best way to use the app is to find a route, and then purchase the tickets yourself directly from discount airlines. Then it is effortless to add luggage, print our boarding passes etc... if it were easier to add luggage after booking, and to know exactly when you could expect to get your boarding passes, I would recommend it- even with the fees. But, so far my experience has been difficult. If things change I’ll update this post.

Beware of this service. I booked my flight on Frontier through Kiwi. The boarding pass stated the gate closes at 7:01 am and Departs at 7:16 am, Thursday. I arrived well before these times. When I got to security I was told to check in with the Frontier desk, when I did I was told my flight already left and that I could have another flight but I would have to pay for that and it departs Sunday, which I would not be able to make. I called frontier at 6:51 am (still before the gate was suppose to closes and the flight departure time) and was told to call Kiwi. Around 7:23 am and 7:24 am I get off the phone with Frontier and call Kiwi and am told I was late even though I arrived before the gate closes and departure time. I asked for a refund and was told there is nothing they can do. They also told the plane was on time and all the information was correct and I was late, however I was told by Frontier my flight had already left, which means there was a schedule change I was not noticed about. So Kiwi and or Frontier made a mistake in coordinating and scheduling and Kiwi is trying to pass the blame on to me. DO NOT USE THIS SEVICE, THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND WILL NOT HELP YOU.

First of all, their customer service reps are trained to argue with anything you say that they and/or the company may disagree with. I've talked to about 4 or 5 representatives within the past few days and every single experience has been the same. Secondly, they robbed me of $126. I booked a ticket, only to cancel it not even a couple hours later because every company I have ever booked with allows you to cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund (which by the way is THE LAW IN THE USA) only to find out that I was given a $10 credit as a refund and am now being told that there's nothing they can do to help me. I've been absolutely robbed of my money and drained of my energy dealing with these customer service reps who seem to want to do nothing but argue with me. Do yourself a favor, save yourself time, energy, and money. Don't book with Kiwi.

Horrible 3rd Party. The airlines made a last minute change that we did know until boarding. I had airhelp and additional benefits so that I informed about the trip. However the airlines rejected my booking. They offered that I could reschedule with them but because the booking was managed by kiwi the 3rd party, the airline could not do it. I had no control of last minute covid and vaccine changes. The airhelp I purchased was of no benefit. The 24/7 customer service advertised is valise and misleading. The US customer service line only operates from 7am-3pm. When I finally got to customer service the agent was hostile refused to acknowledge any fault claimed I could have contacted but I couldn’t because it was a flight outside those time periods. Then refused to even let me speak to a manager. All I wanted was credits or a partial refund. Kiwi has been an incredible disappoint. Between 5-30$ of benefits that didn’t help my situation additionally for luggage fee automatically place a fee over 23kg. So for my entire round trip 1 checked bag would cost 500$ I declined and paid through the airlines. My 1 bag cost 120$. Be very careful of this company.

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD!!. Do Not Use this Company!!! I agree with others on here that they are a scam. The absolutely worst thing a third party company could do is screw up the dates of your return flight. We couldn’t check in from the app so we arrived early and we’re told by the agent that our flight was tomorrow not today. I showed them my confirmation from the app that our flight was in fact today and the agent called the supervisor. As he is looking it over He says, “I can’t believe Kiwi did this again” he then tells me the the flight is in fact tomorrow and that it was Kiwi’s error so I had to talk to them. When I finally get in contact with them. They were nothing but useless. Just told me to take the next flight like it was no big deal. And then had the audacity to say send in a receipt for your hotel for a “Possible” refund. They cared less about the great inconvenience they cause and were more concerned if I was getting on the next flight? Stay away from them. This company is no good.

Kiwi scammed me. Beware of using Kiwi! I recently booked added cabin baggage via Kiwi, but when I got to the airport I wasn’t accepted - they said that Kiwi is a scam and they needed separate payment. However, I only had Amex and they didn’t take Amex, causing me to miss my flight because I couldn’t pay to take my bag (which I had already paid for via kiwi). Missing this flight resulted in me losing over $2000 in missed and newly booked flights as because I missed my Kiwi flight, I missed another flight I was transferring to. I emailed asking kiwi solely for the refund of the initial flight I booked on Kiwi (not all the other money I lost because of their negligence), thinking it would be no question - I missed my flight because the bag I purchased on their site was not found to be valid. To my genuine shock, their customer service has refused, claimed my experience didn’t happen, and necessitated a receipt of my lack of bag purchase - but obviously there’s no receipt because I couldn’t pay for the bag??? It’s pretty shocking and outrageous, and I’m sure other people have had much worse issues with them. Beware of kiwi, especially for extra parts of your booking like bags and seats!

Be Very Careful With Kiwi. We booked a ROUND TRIP through Skiplagged and Skiplagged routed our booking through this Kiwi bunch. Kiwi indeed charged us for the same full amount for the ROUND TRIP as what was shown on the Skiplagged site. However, when we received the intinerary information, ONLY ONE WAY was showing for the round trip price. I contacted Kiwi and went back and forth with their app’s “customer service”. They wouldn’t ever look into the issue for me. They simply stated each time that our itinerary is correct and if we wanted to cancel we would get only a $10 refund”. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company. I can easily demonstrate that right on KIwi’s own site a one-way fare is one-half price to what we paid—proving that we booked a round-trip fare. Anyone can see this yet Kiwi would not admit or look into why the round trip was screwed up when the booking transferred from Skiplagged to Kiwi. Is obviously is a bug in their system somewhere. I see on the App Store that today the app is showing an app update “fixing bugs”. I will also screen shot this to send to my CC company for I think they are trying to screw me over without admission of an existing bug in their system.

Kiwi flights USED to be good, now I’m experiencing issues. When I first discovered kiwi I didn’t really have any issues I paid online I was able to make all of my flights there were no delays in flights I didn’t experience any issues from the complaints that I read but as I continue to use this app for my traveling I began to notice that I am encountering problems. On my last trip the airplane was was so delayed that I almost missed my flight and luckily they held it for me as I rushed like a bat out of hell trying to get through security to make it to my plane, Most recently when I went to book a flight, the summary which INCLUDED luggage showed me a price of $803 the next day i checked my bank statement and noticed they charged me $903 and separated the luggage fee which is NOT what i agreed to pay in the app when i was asked to confirm my payment which INCLUDED luggage!! Customer service had NO explanation. I’m done using this company before i start to experience problems worse than these.

Horrible company. My experience with kiwi was worse than any company I have ever been a customer of. I booked through Kiwi for a trip to Portugal which included a connecting flight in London Gatwick both ways. The flight there was moved back a day and I was notified and the flight back from London was moved forward a day and I was NOT notified by kiwi until I was in transit checking in at the airline. This left me stranded in London for an extra day and after many back and forth calls with Kiwi, the best they could offer me was 100 Euro back to my original payment method to get a hotel and 150 Euro Kiwi credit. It has now been a month and I still have not received my refund. I have been going back and forth with kiwi customer support and they have started to deny that they issued more than the kiwi credit when I have proof they committed to refunding me after I was stranded in London and had to take an extra day off work. This company is a complete mess and does not treat their customers with any decency. They will nickel and dime you with added fees once you get to the airline and their customer support is horrific. Please book directly through airlines and don’t waste your time with this mess of a company.

Do NOT purchase anything through this company!. I was in a rush to buy round trip flights for the holidays recently. Immediately after purchasing through Kiwi I realized my mistake of purchasing through a third-party as I’ve had trouble with another company before. The flight there was great, which gave me hope that the flight back would be just as fine. The airline decided to change the time of my return time from a 2pm flight to earlier at 10am instead. When I arrived to the airport and asked an employee about our flight, they showed me in their computer that they sent notifications through email and phone numbers. The information they had on file were both Kiwi’s email and phone number. Kiwi NEVER notified me through any type of communication form, not even through the app. I’ve tried contacting them for a refund and I’ve been told 3 times that they won’t refund me (much less compensate me for the extra night in a hotel and the extra flights we had to buy). Now I’m out over $400 and I can’t even try and get credits for those flights for future use!

Don’t book with Kiwi!. In May of 2023 my mother had an emergency flight and I booked through Kiwi after a price comparison . On the return flight home Frontier cancelled the flight and I was forced to purchase a very expensive ticket in order to fly my mother back home. I reached out to Kiwi and requested a refund. I was assured that because the flight was due to Frontier canceling the flight that I would be due a refund . After several months of waiting and several times called in I was then rejected for the refund without reason other than “frontier not accepting the refund” I was essentially told that I was on my own and Kiwi wasn’t going to advocate for my refund. This has to be the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. I never go out of my way to leave a bad review but I was compelled to warn everyone not to book through KIWI. They have not adequately addressed my refund and refuse to advocate for my justified refund. Please avoid this company

Horrible service with zero post booking accountability. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write this to warn others. I booked through Kiwi last summer for a trip to Greece and thought it would save me a few dollars. Kiwi didn’t send me a booking confirmation and when I called they said they couldn’t find it in their system and therefore it was nonexistent. They gave me the assurance it was ok to rebook it. TWO weeks after the fact they sent me an email and said they found the original booking and couldn’t find it when I called due to an email typo! When I asked for a refund for the double booking they showed zero accountability and said there isn’t much they can refund since it was a nonrefundable flight! So now I’m stuck with an extra +$750 flight! That’s just not right. Also be warned, connections are super inconvenient esp in the UK since you have to go through security clearance and recheck bags AGAIN with tight layovers. It is not worth a few dollars you think you’re saving upfront for the added stress and a claims department that won’t help once they’ve taken your credit card info. Stay away!!

They angered and frustrated me so much I was left stranded crying in the airport overnight. My flight was delayed and I called them and they refused to change my connecting flight because they didn’t want the chance of even losing a few dollars. It is so frustrating to have the people on the phone flat out tell you they care more about the money than you ever getting home. After literally 8 phone calls to their customer service line - they still refused to help me at all - I ended up getting stranded in LA overnight. They promised to get me out of LA but the only flight options they sent me were 6 days late and to cities I was not going to. I wanted to be home so they said I could book my own flight the next morning and be refunded fully. They refunded me only 1/4 of the amount of my ticket. They are a scam that just wants your money and they do not care what happens to you. I will never use this service again - worst travel experience of my life.

Such a scam!. I highly suggest you book with anyone else other than kiwi. They are the absolute worst! They make you think that you are getting a deal and every corner you turn you get charged for something. They didn’t alert me about my flight delay when I was starting my trip. I was also not told in any format that I had to order my 10 hour international flight meal early. I went over my emails with Kiwi with a fine tooth comb, and there was nothing noted about this. I’ve never been on an international flight where they have not fed you at least something. When service was going around, I asked if I could order at that moment, and they said no. It was a 10 hour flight, and I only received two little cups of water. They also did not send me the right ticket for my train to Paris. And after all was said and done my flight home was canceled. No email, text or anything! I showed up to the gate and was told my flight was canceled and they put me on a different flight to Las Vegas. Just to make myself clear my home is in Seattle not Las Vegas. And no, it was not just a layover flight. They were literally dropping me off in Las Vegas with no way back to Seattle. But because I wasn’t alerted I also missed the flight to Las Vegas because it was a different airline. Please save your money and actually use a credible site. I do realize that this all sounds very dramatic, but it is 100% true. And this was before the pandemic started so it had nothing to do with that.

Cheap but book elsewhere. Only booked because it was cheap but ended up costing me more (double what I originally paid) due to missed flights. Originally flight was delayed by 3 hours causing me to miss my connection, because I did not want to spend multiple days in the Nashville airport I had to book a separate flight to get home costing me more than if I had just originally booked through a normal carrier. The help function on kiwi is broken it kept telling me the other connecting flight hadn’t left yet even though it was long gone by the time I got there. The help desk agent said I acknowledged the change but the change I acknowledged was 20 mins not 3 hours. If you are going to book through kiwi use direct flights as there seems to be 0 recourse if you miss a connection. I will not be booking through kiwi again. Editing, changing to 1 star after hearing that there is no chance at a refund. Even though this means seed flight was in no way my fault. Kiwi will not be refunding me for the flight I missed due to a delay or the cost of the flight I had to re book. AVOID KIWI, ANY COSTS SAVINGS ARE NOT WORTH IT.

Better options for travel. I recently attempted to use Kiwi and it’s a big scam. I’m part there are so many hidden fees that you might as well book directly through the airline since you have to communicate with them if there are any issues. I paid for all the bells and whistles to cover my trip and their idea of inconveniencing your trip is such crap. I had to be at a wedding July 6th and book a flight leaving July 4th and was set to land July 5th. Within a week of booking my flight has been pushed back 3 times, creating a layover of more than 36 hours and I would’ve arrived July 7th. When I contacted Kiwi I was told there was absolutely nothing that can be done and no other flights they could get me on unless of course I wanted to pay more money. I saw several flights that would’ve worked but ended up going through the airline directly because Kiwi was charging double what the airline was and without guarantee there would be no more mishaps. Without going on a longer rant, pick a different option, Kiwi’s support team was terrible, they will put you on hold, hang up and never call you back. News flash Kiwi, if a person is supposed to land at a picked time and their flight is pushed back that is considered an inconvenience to their trip.

If the airline changed your flight, KIWI WONT KNOW. I left home 8 years ago. I came back to my homecountry and it was a great stay but once I had to flight back to the US, the trip turned into a plain nightmare. My flight was changed to the day before, I was told by the airline agent, and of course kiwi says that if that happens they would not give a fraking F about it. The airline agent also told me they ALWAYS have issues with kiwi cuz they DONT UPDATE the info. That was my case. Thankfully, I could make the connections with the new flight, but that meant to not eat properly and having just 1.5 hours to get thru migration and re-enter the national airlines once in the states. I arrived 10 minutes before the connection flight doors closed, and of course that I had to run. I was extremely hungry and tired and gross. I was feeling extremely uncomfortable, and all I just got was the option to have a refund to take a flight on my own. Traveling from one hemisphere to another isn't cheap at all so that option was a no no. Cuz the flights prices for that same day were more than the refund. They gave me rescheduled options and ended up trying luck, which was described above. IF U GET A FLIGHT HERE, YOU'LL HAVE TO CHECK YOUR FLIGHTS YOURSELF SO THIS AGENCY COULD BE COMPARED TO A WALL. I ENDED UP DOING THEIR JOB. If you want peace of mind just don't get a flight from here.

Stuffed up our checked baggage. You’s managed to stuff up our flights somehow and made us pay for checked baggage when we already had paid, certainly won’t be using you again, to much of a hassle and an inconvenience

Connection. The connection time changes before the departure which makes stay lesser between the countries, results a lose of flight. Then kiwi don’t refund for the flights because of the chosen saver option.

UX is garbage. This app is absolute trash. The UX is very poor and is below any standard of what a reputable company should be offering its customers. Only reason I downloaded it was because they were offering $73 coupon. Got so fed up with the app that I decided to forgo the $73 coupon and booked my $4k worth of flights with a competitor.

Been waiting on a refund after 2 years and no response!. I booked through Kiwi for a flight at the beginning of the pandemic (Feb 2020) and I’ve still not got ANY response from them with a refund. The refund status has been sitting in ‘Pending’ since April 2020 and I tried calling, texting them numerous times, but is unable to get any answers. Is this company still in business and how is the review for this app/company so high? Totally Unbelievable!

Not user friendly. The app is too risky and is open to errors. I lost my whole ticket money because the steps were misleading. Wouldn’t recommend it to book a bus ticket let alone a flight

The worst and illegal company. They will change your tickets with other conditions that even doesn’t make sense at all!! The original ticket condition was just 6.5 hour lay over and transfer in Singapore airport (which doesn't ask Visa and luggage go straight though automatically) However, the changed ticket is "32.5 hours stop over" Singapore where even NOT allow people to enter the country. In addition, kiwi changed the limit of check-in luggage weight (30kg->23kg). Customers buy ticket considering all this details. I understood if this is really because of COVID-19 situation which makes many unexpected situation these days, but what I checked is there are still SAME tickets on sale with higher price. I can't even try to call them because they block the call with whom still have more than 3 days to depart. People can just be relaxed waiting the day just 3 days before departure. We just have one day to deal with this issue(because for 48hours just before departure I couldn’t make any change). I've kept all the evidence that I tried to reach with your business. If I can't hear any response from your organization in this week, I will report this situation.

DEFINITELY FRAUD. I booked my ticket with this company assuming that their flights connection is guaranteed like they have mentioned connection guarantee. I arrived in Bangkok and next flight was for Singapore. The flight for Singapore was canceled and i contacted the kiwi customers service but they said you have buy another ticket, we cant help sorry. I had to stay for 3 days in bangkok airport and became ill. I take this matter further untill the government and law take serious action against this company to avoid other people's money and time lose.

Scam. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Seriously. It took me more than a year to be offered an amount for my refund. The cherry on top of it all is that they offered me less than half of the amount I paid for my flights ALL BECAUSE THE FLIGHTS WERE “CANCELLED” and all they offered as an alternative is for me to purchase replacements for the flights that is DOUBLE of what I paid for. I usually do not go all out to express my frustration and disgust but if you want to save yourself a lot of hassle, book directly from the airline and learn from my mistake. It should not be this difficult to get a refund. Even the law states that unused transportation tickets are to be compensated, even the nonrefundable ones as long as it is unused. Poor service, scammy T&C and overall just a sketchy business. TLDR: DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS. Great app but something happened. Hi. Love the app with all info I need there for me. BUT. the flight pricing table is blank. I was able to view it a week ago but now I just get blank squares. Can you fix this? The table allowed me to see when it was cheapest to travel.

Stay away!. The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had booking flights. Flight times were changed, layovers added. In the end we ended up with a trip of 10 hrs from Malta to Germany and 12 hrs back. Could’ve gone to Asia in that time but this is WITHIN EUROPE. Would’ve got a refund of €10 if we’d cancelled (paid around €300 for 2 people). Couldn’t add any baggage online but had to call a UK hotline to add. They sent us a payment link the next day quoting over €100 for ONE piece of hand luggage. Absolutely ridiculous company, complete rip-off, they should be banned.

SCAM. This company is a complete scam. Do not use this app. They will take your money and add extra charges the air line never receive. They will not refund you correctly. I have waited over a year for over $2300AUD to be refunded to me.

If you want to lose money, use KIWI. My trip on 28 Feb- 1 Mar got canceled due to floods in Queensland, I tried to contact KIWI for a refund, but they kept saying they needed to wait for the airline to reply. It’s now July, and their costumer service never replied to my messages, unbelievably poor costumer service. Fights cancelled. I bought plane tickets in Australia through kiwi. Flight was cancelled 2 years ago. I was told I would get refund. Even paid for them to expedite refund. That was 2 years. I’ve rang the airlines and they have already returned money to kiwi.

absolutely bad. This app never works properly, you always always always have a problem at the time of your purchase. When you find a good price, the app sends you a message that the flight is already full, or that it is not possible to make the payment or even that you do not have enough money on your card! and when you do it all over again, the ticket price has already increased in value! I’m utterly disgusted with this sham of a company,, they offer a written guarantee, but never meet their own obligations, constantly passing the buck and taking no responsibility. Highly avoid booking a flight. Basically scammed me, could not look for alternatives when flight schedule changes or cancelled. Agents will just tell you to book your own flight without any refund for the cancelled flight. I’d rather take my business to Flight Centre rather than this rip-off. I would rate it a negative star but that is not possible. Update: I will file a lawsuit against this FRAUDULENT COMPANY

Requesting a refund. I’ve been on the phone waiting for any soul to answer hoping to change my flights, waited on the phone for 5 hours... I don’t want to be stuck in another country but by the looks of it, thanks to kiwi that is going to be the case. I’ve sent countless emails and have called many many times. Every single time, they have hung up on me. I’ve looked on the “ help centre “ no help what so ever. Also not a single notification on flight schedule changes so if not looking in advance we would have had to fork out another $1000 Taking my money and wasted my time.

Don’t use kiwi for your bookings. Hello, please don’t use this agent for booking. They aren’t very helpful when your flights get canceled. They push you keep paying for solutions that wasn’t your fault to begin with. Even when you provide them a solution they won’t do it. It’s a massive scam!!! They won’t even use your email adress for reservations so you aren’t aware of your reservation and hard to make changes.

WARNING SCAM. Avoid using this app or their website at all costs. When, not if, you run into an issue and your hard earned money is in the line you will try to call and be met with people who are unable to effectively communicate to you in English. They promise this and that with their BS guarantees and services if you purchase the add ons but as other reviews have said, you’re effectively paying for nothing.

Very poor. You gave us boarding passes after we cancelled because we were in lockdown. We heard nothing back from you about our request for a refund. I’m sure you can justify this to yourself, but we share our experience with everyone.

Overbookin. I bought 2 tickets to bali the money came out of my account for only on the next day i got a message saying tickets were sold out and i was to be refunded which is an absurd because when you guy took my money and sold me the ticket it never said it was sold out now im going through the inconvenience of waiting for my money to come back so i can then waste time re-search for tickets again or worse not find tickets and ended up canceling my holiday

Kiwi finally refunded the cancelled flights after 3 years.. Update: I was offered a refund on two tickets in cash (into my bank account).

It does not find available flights. The app does not show flight I information I could find in other apps, skyscanner for example. But the developer was very kind and explained that kiwi actually look for tickets and not meta data about flights.

Bad experience. Flight cancelled due to covid19, it’s the the explanation for cancellation, if so why the flight still operation and available for purchase? Refund took too long and with advance payment to lodge refund, within 6 weeks, free refund system takes 3 months. Refund amount depends on the airlines even airline self cancelled the flight. No recommend to anyone to use this service.

Excellent service. The app works great and the radius search is incredible. Plus kiwis guarantee DOES work and is much better than I thought. Completely recommend, specially for flight with more than one stop, you never know what can happen. Once I lost a route with a 6h layover because of changes on both flights and airport problems, so better cover yourself. Sorry but had to take 2 stars out of it because of the latest update, they took off the radius search, bad move.

Fraud!! Never use it for travel. Apple should blacklist.. Verified user, can show my bills. I booked a ticket worth almost 2 years back.. gave them time coz it was covid but no signs of refund. They say will give credit but who trusts now. The airlines cancelled the ticket. Still no money. Never ever use this fraud company headquartered in Czech Republic. Fraud. Apple should take down from store. When you complain to Airlines, they say they will refund but come via Kiwi. Kiwi says the airlines not responding them which is joke, as the airlines do respond an individual like me. NEVER USE KIWI. Terrible and stressful. I haven’t even been on my holiday yet and experienced so much stress. The airline changed the flights, so I would miss a connection and kiwi did NOTHING to help me and slammed the phone down on me in one call because we were not getting anywhere. The airline said that due to atol protection that they had to change my flights for free, but they wouldn’t. After several calls of many hours to the airline, the airline took responsibility and changed my flight. The app, still has the old flights, and so, now I can’t seem to check baggage limits etc, because it wants to change my flights, so won’t show me other flights details. Have the hidden city hack flights planned, but trying to get trip worth of clothes into a ‘personal bag’ is insane. The airlines all say that cabin baggage is fine when I called.

Never get my refund back!!!!!. I bought the ticket on the 24 may and they said the prices has increased I have to pay $ 100 more or cancel the trip to have refund in 10 business days, been 3 weeks haven’t heard anything and no money back!!!

Issues. The app is good and have good prices, but everytime i close the app is signing off my account and if i book a flight it doesn’t appear as my booking, and you cant add it with the booking number (which is important to see the updates on the status of your flight: from pending to confirm). You have to be alert on your emails, which is fine but why do i have the app for then?

Bad app and even worst customer service. My flight was cancelled due a volcanic explosion in Bali. I called at least 10 times to ask what could I do while I was with really bad internet in the Philippines. They suggested me to ask for a refund, but I only received 42 euros out of more than 1000 I’ve spent in my flight.

Fraud. Never book with Kiwi ever. They are running a fraud . 1. Show prices in US dollars with no mention of US anywhere. Shows a $ sign irrespective of where you are in the world , giving a false sense of pricing . These guys should really be in jail for this . 2. Most flights don’t have auto baggage transfer . Kiwi takes no measures or Ghana tree if you get stuck or are stopped for any reasons when transferring between domestic or international terminals when trying to book an international flight where a part of the flight could involve domestic travel. I spite of this they don’t forget to give a kiwi guarantee in the tickets . Not sure what guarantee that is as fine print really says opposite of everything they claim on bold print .

Avoid at all cost. Horrible experience with Kiwi. My itinerary was showing the departure airport as Heathrow airport in London. It wasn’t until my boarding pass printed that this information had changed to Gatwick airport, which is about 1h drive away. Kiwi never notified me of this change and i consequently missed my flight. Luckily the airline was able to put me on a different flight originating from Heathrow airport at no additional cost, but had to wait an extra 5 hours. I was not able to reach to Kiwi customer service, and never got a reply back until this day. If you care about your money, spend a little more to guarantee you will have good service with minimal issues by booking directly with the airline. Stay away from Kiwi.

Ignored by customer service. I have been trying to get in contact with customer service for two days. They have no phone number so I have been trying to communicate with them through their live chat option. They have no responded to me in any way. I have messaged them both on Facebook and Instagram and I have yet to receive an answer.

Terrible experience. I downloaded the kiwi app to book a flight, easily and comfortably. Unfortunately, after booking the flight, there was a lot of confusion and mixup with my tickets. I was charged multiple times for unnecessary services and additional fees that all added (baggage fees, passenger details fees etc). The customer service team made it difficult when I was trying correct information about myself and the flight. At the airport I was required to pay extra fees in order to get on my flight and for my baggage, even though I had already paid the Kiwi app. In addition many parts of the e ticket provided to me by Kiwi was incorrect. This included the flight number, confirmation number and the actual air line that I was flying with. I was on the phone with multiple airlines trying to figure out and solve the condition which was very difficult. The Kiwi team did absolutely nothing to help me stating that the information I was given was correct however it was not. Overall the experience was very troublesome, and I would not recommend any other users.

Total scam. Total scam! You find a cheap flight, pay for it, receive a confirmation number, 24 hrs later cancellation email, sorry we couldn’t confirm your flight!! You lost a day, tickets price increased and it will take 10 business days to refund you! Customer service: sorry there is nothing I can do! BIGGEST SCAMMER APP. The biggest scam site I've ever used in my life. Firstly, instead of showing direct flights, they show connecting flights directly and you have to buy them because they are cheap, and this is very misleading. SECOND, NEVER BUY the 117 euro add-on package sold under the name 'kiwi guarantee' and they putted my wrong email address and phone number. EVEN, they didn’t put my passport number on site. BECAUSE THEY APPLY ONLY 10 EURO DISCOUNT. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WORST. They just want scam people. I HOPE THAT COMPANY SHUT DOWN as soon as quickly.

Avoid. Their “guarantee” won’t even get you you money back. Booked a flight, paid extra for their “insurance”, flight got rescheduled days later. They won’t refund my money, but will give me “kiwi credit”. Problem is all the flights are more than double what I paid through them and I can’t book with anyone cheaper. No services delivered but they keep my money and extort more out. Either I miss my flight and let it go or pay more than double for the same flight. Oh and baggage costs more than more of their flights, >$180 for a bag. Avoid at all costs, read the fine print, their guarantees are the bare minimum and cost them nothing, you won’t get your money back if you pay for their “insurance”

Do not download and book with the airline instead. Kiwi.com did not send out pertinent information about our check ins and as a result we missed our flights. Their customer support was also completely unhelpful in resolution. Had we booked directly through the airline we would have avoided the entire mess. I now notice this is a common complaint on many other reviews as well. I highly suggest you go direct through airlines for the same flight instead of using Kiwi as a middle-man to avoid experiencing the same issue.

Your booking gets canceled in a day and probably no refund. I got a good price on Kiwi and booked it using my credit card. They canceled my booking in lamost 24 hours and I had two options for the refund and I selected the credit card option instead of online credit. As I know they usually do not refind and I am going to file a dispute against them if they don’t. Just save your time and money and avoid this app.

I don’t recommend.. Used kiwi more than 10 times and I have strong opinion about this website. Very suspicious customer service support. Almost never helps. Very hard to get alternative flight in case of canceled flight even if you paid premium insurance. Always try to book directly with airline you flying. Proved to be the safest option.

Worst cancellation and insurance policy. They use third party insurance company that won’t give your money back no matter what. Support for kiwi will cancel the flight and route you to insurance company and the battle starts. Its been a year when I cancelled my flights due to medical reasons and provided the medical details and documentation but they are not ready to refund and keep asking for another document or proof. Worst service ever. Will not suggest using this app or kiwi services.

Misleading offer to download app. I got an email offering 25€ off my first booking if I downloaded the app, but every flight I searched for was exactly 25€ more expensive than I’d I booked via Skyscanner or directly with the airline. Save yourself a download and stick with Skyscanner.

Don’t use this app. Did not communicate our entire reservations to the airline only the flight booking. Ended up having to pay extra for baggage at the airport even though we had prepaid baggage on the app. Airline informed us that this is a common issue with this and other apps like it.

Best app ever. I keep using this app from 5 years and always I have saved money. It’s simple to use in Pc and phone too. I have tried others but this is the best for me. I prefer to use this instead of airline company websites. In other words I LOVE IT.

Scam. The negative reviews are sadly true: this company is a glorified scam. There is no room for any changes once you book the flight. The customer service is embarrassing and nonexistent. The prices are blown out of proportion - you’re not saving money, only making the process of travel more stressful than it needs to be. Do better.

Middle man; Rip off!!!. I purchased flights through kiwi months in advance. The second flight changed its departure time so the the first flight would not connect. I received ~40% of what I payed as a refund and lost hundreds. By booking through this third party, you lose the airlines obligation to get you to your destination if kiwi decides to connect your flights with more than one company. Don’t risk losing your money through the 3rd party middle men like kiwi and book directly through the airlines.

Kiwi worked perfectly for me. I’m in Canada and needed to fly west to east and back again. I saved a ton e of money and everything worked perfectly. All my boarding passes good, all my connections worked out. All these bad reviews had me worried so I figured I owed them this positive review.

Very good costumer service!. My original review was one star with the title of “worste booking app ever!!” BUT their costumer service changed my opinion. Stay away. This has been the second time they did not get around to sending out your checkin and this time was worse. Also don’t believe the 8 hr Guarantee, my son was stuck for 12 hrs and they did nothing.

Break my plan, because reschedule without notification. I booked flight from Phuket to Kathmandu, stop in New Delhi. 1st flight Phuket to New Delhi reschedule, and kiwi did not give me any notification. I got up at 4am going to airport, when I arrived airport, the flight rescheduled to 2pm, it supposed to depart 8am. And I must be in Kathmandu today. I booked any flight to Kathmandu, it cost me US$ 529.28. I ask fully refunded, kiwi said they don’t know the amount for refund. And I have to wait 90 days for refund.

Do not waste your money here. 1- I agree that it might be a little more affordable here but be aware that you will ends up spending more at the end. 2- No refund polices 3- the airline refunded me the flight but it went to kiwi account instead. I asked about the refund and no actions. 4- they do the check in for you without asking your permissions so if you wanna add more services you basically cannot do any.

Weak app. If you want to have the worst trip of your life then go ahead and download the app. You all have to experience it on your own to believe another person, I don’t really have time to put review but I do. This app to save money they will cancel your flight and give you another flight for 8 hours later so they can make some money. They don’t really care if you have plans. They just hungry for money. My suitcase is missing I don’t know which one I have to fix or run after. I have a bad trip from the start.

Scammers, do not book through Kiwi!!!. TL;DR: won’t issue students over $1200 refund that they owe and horrible customer support. Just book directly with airline companies. I’ve never written a bad review and I’ve dealt with bad customer support before, but this is absolutely the worst app and has the worst customer support!!! Offered us $12 refund when they owe us over $1200. My friend and I booked our graduation trips to Lima, Peru through Kiwi. Kiwi’s policy says that they’ll grant a full refund and cancel your trip if you request a cancellation before it is confirmed by Kiwi. I requested a cancellation a couple of hours after I booked the flight, before it was confirmed, since I changed my mind about booking through Kiwi. The app said that the flight had not been confirmed, but their customer support team said that the trip was already confirmed and that they could only grant a $12 refund. So I decided to bite the bullet and keep the ticket and avoid wasting time arguing with their scammy customer support team. A few weeks later, Peru established a 30-day nation state of emergency, closed several airports across the country and suspended travel. Following the guidance of travel advisory notices, we cancelled our trip to Peru. National emergencies such as the one currently happening in Peru are considered grounds for force majeure exemptions and extenuating circumstances. Many other travel companies and airlines issued us refunds in such cases. Airbnb and other airlines gave us full refunds for all of our stays due to these circumstances, but Kiwi would not even help us get in touch with the Volaris airline’s customer support. They said that they can only grant a $12 refund and would not issue us a refund even though we attempted to cancel our ticket 4 hours after booking the flight AND the fact that we cannot fly to/across Peru due to the national state of emergency. I spent half the day arguing with their customer support while I was on my trip and hope no one else goes through such an experience.

After that they reached out to Westjet for a refund then Kiwi.com sent me a confirmation email about the refund. Original review: Westjet was ready to offer full refund as they had potential strike from May 15-21. Called westjet and they said to call Kiwi.com and have them reach out as they are the ones who booked. They will give full refund. I paid extra for guarantee support but what a waste of money. I did not board the flight and kiwi.com would not call westjet to cancel. Poor support. Will not recommend.

Waiting more than a week for them to add a second checked bag. I need to add a seond checked bag for a business trip, and have been waiting more than a week and they still haven’t got it done. I called support and they said “we’re working on it but we can’t give a date when it will be done”. A date? How about “5 minutes”? Never again.

Again - BUYER BEWARE!! In March 2020 I booked 2 round trips to Mexico just a week before COVID shut down the world. After realizing that the trip wasn’t going to happen, we requested a refund from Kiwi who said that they will take care of it. It’s now been almost 2 years and they have completely ignored us. After messaging them ove r the last few months they continue to say that my flights were non refundable and therefore we won’t be issued a refund. Well I’ve called Aero Mexico several times in the last 1.5 years and each time I’ve been told by AM that Kiwi made no attempts to get a refund from them. They also told me several times that they were issuing refunds on ticket purchased during COVID. So Kiwi basically stole my money and has been lying to me about it for 2 years. They scammed me and thousands of other in the exact same way. BUYER BEWARE!!

Scam stay away!!. Purchased return tickets with them for the first time. I tried checking in because Kiwi wasn’t able to. They told me to go there early and check in directly with the airline. I go there and airline says we do not have you on our flight. Reach out to support and they took so long to figure out where I had to purchase my own ticket so I didn’t miss the flight. They reached out stating they would issue a refund but when I submitted it. They declined. Now I have to open up a dispute and leave this review. What a waste of time and they were not even much cheaper than going directly with the airline. STAY AWAY!!

Read the fine print, and don't get the PLUS. I needed to get to India and kiwi booked two separate tickets (instead of one ticket) forcing me to buy/get transit visa. It wasn't clear at the get go that is what was happening, and I am wondering whether they don't disclose that clearly to show better prices ( because that is very inconvenient, and if you miss one flight you lose the other ). They also upsold a service for rebooking a given ticket for extra 150$ , but when I tried to do that, all the itineraries they showed me not at all comparable and significantly worser. When I called the customer service , they wouldn't refund my ticket nor could they find a comparable itinerary ( which they said they will look into, after 2 days they come back with nothing )

Book through Expedia or directly through airlines. So I don’t leave reviews often, if even at all though this is my first time using Kiwi and it has been an experience. The first leg of the flight was fine and went without a hitch however that was it. I was notified the day before my departure at a regular time I couldn’t be checked in so I got a little suspicious and I came to find out they never gave me my second flight’s confirmation number or anything of the sort and just told me to go in early and talk to the airline. I come to find out I didn’t even have a flight until I talked to them and a kind kind kind soul gave me a returning flight…. I would avoid the possible headache and book through somewhere else, personally.

Horrible Service!. I was unable to contact customer service for about a month. When I finally did, one person said I would not receive a refund for my canceled trip due to COVID-19. I asked to speak to another employee and they said I would receive a refund within 3 weeks. It has been over two months and I haven’t heard anything. I purchased travel insurance, but nobody from customer service knew how to file a claim. They said “You have to go through the website.” I’ve looked through the website and I am unable to file my claim. I bought a $500 plane ticket and bought travel insurance on top of that. I have not received any refund back, and I am not sure if I ever will. I will never book through Kiwi again if I do not receive a refund soon. Disgusting.

Terrible Experience and Travel Agency. These were the facts of my journey using Kiwi - one of my layover flights was delayed three hours. I didn't receive a notification and found out at the flight counter. My itinerary had a few lay overs one where they only allowed me one hour of time in between flights where I had to through immigration and customs. Impossible to make in one hour. I had to collect and recheck my luggage for every single flight even if it was the same airline. I requested from Kiwi to change my return date due to an emergency. Kiwi didn't allow me and I was told I had to purchase a new return ticket. I will not recommend this travel agency. Go directly to the airline. Pay more but travel with no issues.

The worst app ever be careful they show a contact flight that should never be showed. I had booked a contact flight from Riyadh to Manila This is disrespectful and disappointed, I already sent multiple emails and requests to refund my money, I already explained the situation and the fault from kiwi that showed me a contact flight from Riyadh to Manila, when I booked the flight and tried to take the first flight with Siri Lanka airlines at the office counter at king khalid airport, The Siri Lanka airlines said ( you can not take the flight because Malaysia government does not consider Asia airlines as international flight(the Airasia flight was from Malaysia to Manila” the final flight “), so you can not take the flight and that against the Malaysia government rules) !!!!!!? They told me this contact flight should not to be showed in kiwi app and the mistake is from kiwi.

Beware!. Booked flights from Virginia to Florida. We needed to be in Florida to sail on a cruise the next day. The 1st flight was delayed. I called kiwi. Told them that we wouldn’t have enough time to catch the next flight. They told us to wait for the plane and when we were boarding the plane and call them back. I tried to explain that we couldn’t take the chance to miss the next flight because of the cruise! Was on the phone with them for a long while trying to get a change in flights. We decided that if we were going to make the cruise we were going to have to drive. 14.5 hours later we got to Florida. I was told that because we didn’t wait for the flight then we can’t be refunded. If we would have waited and took the flight we would have missed getting to the cruise port in time. It made no sense! We had to drive!

The worst booking app ever!. I had the worst booking experience ever with this app. They advertise an itinerary as a single itinerary with one or two connecting stops while in fact they book you 2-3 different independent itineraries that you have to collect your luggage after each one! Even worse, they blatantly lie about it by calling it “self transfer!” Of course, you find out about all of that BS after you’ve non-refundably paid for the trip! Also, they advertise a trip with certain airlines and later on after you’ve booked and paid for it, they change the airlines without any notice to you! Their customer service is also just as crappy 🤦🏻‍♂️ I have learned my lesson the hard way unfortunately and my advice to anyone is not to book any trips through this fraudulent site. I an sticking to priceline from now on.

One of the Worst websites and application for travel. This is one of these worst website that we have used for travel tickets… i would never recommend using this website to anyone . If u wish to have a pleasant travel experience please do not buy thru QIWI. They may come across as inexpensive but they are truly cheap with everything… Cheap customer experience and cheap customer services. They have cancelled my flight without notification while i was in route and they could not get me on another flight… i had to go through another website at the airport to buy an out of pocket ticket that is still pending as being in investigating for refund even after 3 months… Personally … i feel they have committed fraud and don’t even bother to correct it

Horrible service, required to pay extra, no assistance provided. While on the trip my return flight was cancelled. The new airline kiwi booked me on charged an additional baggage fee but I assumed kiwi would cover this (just generally but I had also purchased the insurance just in case). The next day I called kiwi. 5 times I was hung up on by their customer service. I was always patient and polite while speaking to their representatives. At no time could I speak to anyone who could help me, and when asked if I could speak to someone higher up they told me there was no one available, that person was on a different call, or they would call me back (they never did). If I had an option on the rebooking for a flight that didn’t charge me for the baggage fee I would have taken it. No option was provided. My choices were leave my baggage in another country or pay the fee which kiwi won’t reimburse, again despite me paying for the insurance. Learn from my mistakes, stay away from kiwi for any trips or travel. The time you spend and the money that they take will not be worth the few dollars you save by using this service.

Avoid kiwi at all cost!!! Like the bird kiwi- its flightless!! You will not get anywhere. Stay away from Kiwi!! I tried getting my refund for a flight that did not guaranteed me seats. And this because I specifically told them that me and my husband are traveling with kids age 6 and 9 years old. All they did was sent us a link to buy our seats, after we bought the seats we still didn't get a choice to seat together. They told us that their team was working on getting us a seat. The back and forth with the customer service via email and phone are totally not worth it!! Better book directly through airlines and save yourself some stress and headache. We lost $2500 on a flight, and the only refund they could give us is $65. This is after the back and forth and lots of effort on our part. So be warned and avoid this company at all cost!! SCAMMERS!! Since we lost $2500- we are looking into a legal action with this company.

Fraud with baggage and check-in.. They informed me that they couldn’t process the check-in and that I had to do it myself with the airline. When I contacted the airline, they didn’t have the baggage added for which I had paid on Kiwi. I contacted Kiwi support before the flight to report the problem, but they didn’t resolve anything. As a result, I had to pay again for the baggage at the airline. After the flight, I requested a refund and provided all the evidence of the duplicate payment and my prior communication with them regarding the issue. They refused to refund the amount. Since numerous people have encountered their fraudulent practices, I believe this company should be exposed, and the public should be informed. I am willing to contribute my package of evidence to the overall investigation.

Worst travel app I have used. This company really “Nickel and dimes” you more than anything else I have used. In order to even get support, I would have to pay at least $20 extra. I had to get the cheapest flight available for an upcoming trip which was still not cheap at $1800 (both ways). My return flight has a connection in Japan and the first connection was moved 48 hours earlier. This meant I would have to pay $500 more to have a flight similar to the one I purchased or I would have to wait a total of 53 hours for my connection. Even worse, Japan is currently not allowing for the type of visa I would need for this layover making this connection legally impossible for me. Now the only option I have is to buy a new flight home.

STRANDED. I purchased airline tickets 36 days in advance. The day prior to departure I was told the flight was “not available” After 10 hrs and 8 phone calls, to customer service, being placed on hold numerous times, with service agents in the back ground of phone call sounding like they were at a party, laughing and carrying on, I was told that I could expect at refund via PayPal within 24hrs. I have yet to see refund. Refund is on hold for up to 21 days. This is a poor way to do businesses. I was told many times that I would receive an email back within 2-4 hrs only to have to reach out again to explain issue to new agent. I requested the financial department hoping to solve this issue directly. I was told there was “no line to and or way to reach them.” Very disappointed! Will never book again and I will share this experience with my friends and family.

Terrible. I have never downloaded a third party app and used it for flights but I had seen good reviews also I heard of it before. I booked a flight to LA on the southwest airline. Immediately upon arrival to the airport I was told my booking did not exist. I called kiwi and was told that they have been having issues with southwest. They mentioned that southwest would send confirmation numbers then turn around and cancel flights on their end (not sure how that works). Nonetheless I was told to see if I could buy a ticket and kiwi would refund me. However, due to COVID the flight was sold out. I was told that I would be refunded for my ticket. But today I received an email stating I would not be receiving a refund due to my name being doubled on the reservation. I have been in contact with them however I am placed on hold then the call disconnects. This is terrible customer service! won’t buy again.

Almost good. The good: Kiwi has cheap flights and a nice interface. Also their support is slow but existent. The bad: Every time I book with kiwi I regret it. They make the bookings under their own accounts so users don’t have access to them directly. I believe they do this to provide auto check-in. However, the result is that I always end up with a bad experience. Two issues always seem to happen: - 1. it doesn’t allow me to add my known traveler number and I always have to do it through support which takes several hours/days due to their slow response rate. - 2. For whatever reason my flights always get changed. Under normal circumstances I would contact the airline and get them to move me to a better flight… however, I can’t do it anymore because I don’t “own” my bookings!!! And kiwi of course won’t do it unless I paid their flexible booking fee which I never do because most airlines usually allow me to change my flights within the same day. TLDR If you absolutely must then Kiwi will do the job. However, if there is any other option I’d recommend that you avoid them.

The best travel app!. Many of the bad reviews here, from what I can tell, are from people who didn’t look closely enough at the app and just magically expected boarding passes to appear out of nowhere. You have to put in some work to ge the good deal. After you book a flight, look at the PRN and flight number of each leg of a flight. Go to the official airline website, enter the PRN, and you will be able to check in or retrieve your boarding pass. It really is that simple. Have not had any problems and I flew with them three times to Europe.

Possible scam..DO NOT BOOK ON THIS SITE. I had to make a flight change because I booked the wrong date. I could see the flight time I wanted on Google flights with the same airline however it wasn’t showing up on the app. I called customer service and they said they would take care of it for me. A few minutes later I receive a message saying they were unable to to fulfill my booking. I then just chose another time and then noticed that the extra legroom I paid for was not applied. I called them to let them know that they charge me for the extra legroom yet they didn’t put it on my flight. She said that that was nontransferable and nonrefundable. So, I paid for a flight time I didn’t want plus extra legroom that I won’t be getting and there’s nothing they are willing to do about it .

Zero stars. First of all, you mislead customers. Basically robbed me of about 1,000 dollars. You’re not clear about cancellations and changes and then just rudely tell people (and their bank accounts) that you were clear and that the customer signed the terms and conditions, but you were NOT CLEAR. You use wording that is confusing!!!! You are sneaky. Also- you CHARGE PEOPLE ON THE APP TO CHECK IN BAGGAGE AND CHOOSE SEATS by instilling fear in them saying “the airport will be 3x more expensive” Yeah ok guess what??? I didn’t pay the 200 euros you were asking for to “choose a seat” or check in baggage and THEY LET ME DO BOTH THINGS ENTIRELY FOR FREE AT THE AIRPORT WHEN WE GOT THERE. You are a scam - a terrible terrible scam. Would not use this service or recommend this service ever TO ANYONE.

Dates changed. I been looking for tickets for my sister and my dad for days, I found this good price tickets on kiwi I ame pretty sure I picked the correct date but when I finish all the process and paid when I got the confirmation of my booking we immediately realized a different date, I call and ask it they could fix the problem and refused to do it because they said I picked a different date and were able to prove it with my finger prints. I am or sure I picked the correct date. So no refund no change they are keeping my $700 hundred dollars. I am very sad and disappointed. Please help me. Do not steal from humble people. I have tried so many nicknames to post my review but no one works, maybe is because I am not giving a good review

Horrible!!!. Don’t waste your time installing this app. If you read all the reviews the 5 star reviews are all clearly written by the same person. Then install the app and nothing the reviews say is true. The all too often mentioned “UI” is awful! The capital of the great state of Texas isn’t even in the app. I searched several ways for Austin, TX and it “can not be found”! That’s borderline offensive. I did another round trip search for a different trip and found a great price, but when I selected the flight details the screen refreshed and the very same flight 2 seconds later increased $250! This is one of the shadiest apps I’ve ever installed and I want these last 30 minutes of my life back! Y’all should be ashamed and Apple should remove you from their AppStore! To your response absolutely not. You know your app is awful and all your reviews are fake. Fake reviews are enough to make me not ever want to deal with you people again

Just be transparent, kiwi!. Please, Don’t try to hoard more custom and customers. Why do I have to download your app to get my mobile boarding pass. Just have an option to tick to get it sent via a text message. Why can’t I add the digital boarding pass to my wallet where I keep all my other digital passes ? Just give us the flexibility. Why not also give us the actual airline booking reference so we can look up our flight with the actual airline to check luggage info (that’s incorrect/misleading on your emails) or check what we purchased? I had to call your customer service to get what I really think should be accessible to me. You are a third party reseller, not a monopoly common now.

Ms. Iuliia. Used app first time and it was stated that for both of the flights that I’ve purchased from kiwi there will be a free check in in the airport and currently they cannot check me in online. When I have already arrived for my first flight the check in desk told me that I have to pay 18€ check in fee. They are charging it since 1st of September and my flight was on 24th. Contacted help-desk regarding the refund and they were also surprised about check in fee but can’t guarantee the 100% refund of the fee. Just a suggestion-always use the real website of the airline as the info on the kiwi might be wrong and outdated as in my case. Update: 3 months have passed since this review and nothing changed and no one contacted me regarding my issue

Book through the airline directly. My wife and I have tried to travel with Kiwi twice. First time got canceled because of COVID and we did not get our money back. That should have been a hint not to use them again but made the same mistake. This time our international flight was canceled by the carrier and apparently they never got notified so we found out the flight was canceled that same morning of our flight. We were told that it was not their fault that our flight was canceled and that the only thing we could do is buy a brand new flight and hope we could get part of the refund in 3 months! When I asked the customer service agent for what other options they could provide he said none and he hung up. Please do yourself a favor and do not go through them. Most unprofessional company I have dealt with.

Lost $400 on under-24-hr cancellation. Kiwi lost me $400 on flights I should have been able to easily cancel on my own free of a cancellation charge within 24 hours of purchase. Kiwi has an extremely long cancellation response time - their terms literally say THIRTY DAYS. As a result, my travel plans to see my friend’s wedding are sunk. In the US, the Dep’t of Transportation recognizes that changed plans and human error occur often. Consequently, ANY FLIGHT can be cancelled without any charge within 24 hours. Unless you booked via Kiwi. I cancelled my flights after 20 hours and Kiwi failed to contact Delta in time! I knew this was a risk and that’s why I personally called Kiwi on their service line (that took 20 minutes of digging on their website to find) to attempt to accelerate the process. The customer service agent (who spoke English as a second language and struggled a bit) said he could do NOTHING to speed up the process. It was like watching a train crash in slow motion without being able to do anything about it. As I had feared, this morning (36 hours after my purchase) I got an email saying that a refund was unavailable from Delta. Of course it was! Because Kiwi took so long to contact Delta about it! There needs to be a way to perform the cancellation IMMEDIATELY.

A little confusing. The pricing is great & so accessible. My complaint is it’s a little difficult to navigate the information. They send a TON of invites to add to your google calendar with weird times that you’re not even scheduled for. They’re also not terribly clear on what your schedule is in general. I got an email the day prior that I had a flight on Frontier from San Diego to San Antonio & then back. But my flight was Virgin from San Francisco to San Diego then Frontier back to San Antonio. I tried to email costumer support but only got a reply that I need to check in to Frontier even though the flight wasn’t Frontier. I only assumed it might be Virgin & was right. The app has awesome potential to be great. It’s just very glitchy & difficult to understand at this point.

Very shady and unpredictable.. I had a ticket chosen and added to my cart for one price. I scrolled to purchase and while I was entering my details on PayPal,I didn’t realize the ticket price had increased almost double. I finished logging into PayPal and hit purchase only to see the different price. On the purchase screen, the price you paid is not shown, so I tried to find the invoice to confirm the price increase. By the time I finally found the invoice, through a separate link and after downloading a PDF, my refund window had closed after 2 minutes. I called customer service and got the same speech from two different people “unfortunately the booking is confirmed there can be no refunds.” He told me ticket prices are always changing and I have to pay attention to them even after they are in my cart and apparently while I’m entering payment info.

YOU’LL END UP PAYING MORE, DO YOUR RESEARCH. You may think you’re saving purchasing through Kiwi, but you’ll end up paying more with bag fees and change fees. I wish I did my research before booking with this sad excuse for a travel company. Seriously. Just do a Google search and dive in on the threads. If ONE flight on your itinerary gets delayed, you’re screwed. Had to purchase a completely new flight and customer service was no help either. Each time someone responded to me, it was a completely new person and it would say “resolved” when it in fact was not. They had no idea what was going on or what they were talking about. They’d contradict the other responses and it was extremely messy. Just book with the original airlines that way if something messes up, you’ll get rebooked with no hassle. This site is a joke preying on those who don’t know any better

Scammers. Look folks—all you have to do is check the BBB, YouTube(with video reviews, no less!)SiteJabber, Quora(a well known question and answer forum), etc to see the mountains of negative reviews and complaints about customer service. The sheer number of people who were not refunded money they were entitled to after flights were cancelled during the pandemic, the lack of response, empathy, and customer service or concern is remarkable. In my case, while I, a teacher, was able to book flights and go on those flights the other year, I asked for a change in name and they took $80 and did not do what they were asked to do—after repeated phone calls they simply dropped the ball, didn’t provide the service, and the response was “My bad.” Thank goodness I only lost $80. Some people lost THOUSANDS. DO NOT BOOK with this company.

We purchased 6 flights for a family vacation and one of our son was not able to go so we were 2 weeks away from vacation so we decided to take one of our daughters friend so we called to change the name on ticket they said a fee would be associated we said fine they said 48 hours and they would let us know so we called back after 48 hours and no wait 48 hours so now we are 8 hours from departure and same thing the India call center can you wait 5 min while we look up your account every time you call they can’t help you it is pathetic I then call airlines and they say kiwi has not sent anything if I want to change name I need email that they used and last 4 of card and they will do it no problem but kiwi will not give that info do not use this company they don’t care about you bad bad bad customer service

Booking with dates that I did not choose missing return for around trip ticket. I booked a around trip flight from Casablanca to New York departure Mars17 and return May 17 on my laptop kiwi send me a coupon for my subscription to use when I pay for the ticket. It did not go though because I have to use it on kiwi app. I open an app then I been surprised when I paid via PayPal that the dates are different and no return date in my booking and booking is for around trip . I tried to call kiwi but my call been disconnected each time . Then I contacted PayPal and I open a case . No chance to contact Kiwi and I want to cancel and reschedule the trip they offer me $11 as refund . I will never book with this company and I will write an review on google.

No Stars - Don’t do it!!. Changed my itinerary, didn’t offer any refund because it was the airlines fault. You can’t go direct to airline either. The Kiwi guarantee is a joke. Should’ve known you get what you pay for. Book direct, or at your own risk. You might get stuck somewhere. It took forever to get ahold of customer support. (+3hrs) Took my $ and didn’t offer me any service. They completely changed the day/time of one of my flights which would’ve messed up the connection so essentially I wouldn’t have gotten home. Kiwi couldn’t care less, not their fault. If you aren’t going to take ownership of peoples routes and ensure you get from point A to point B, what are you doing? Maybe use this as a search engine but I would go to the airline so if something happens you can actually get help.

Excellent app & service. I usually don’t write reviews but felt very strongly about my experience with Kiwi that I wanted to share how great they were. I usually book my own trips/flights however I took a chance with Kiwi and was blown away with the help I received whenever things looked like they would have gone wrong had I planned it. The whole team at Kiwi was personal and always helpful; they listened to my concerns whenever I had them and absolutely stood behind me whenever there was a problem which travel plans can throw at you. Overall, a pleasant experience and I look forward to working with them!

Honeymoon/ COVID 19. My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Spain, mid March and was cut short due to Covid -19. We were there for only 2 days and had no choice but to return home to the US and not travel to the rest of our destinations. I tried reaching out to kiwi about our flights and never could get through to customer service to see if they would be able to give us a voucher or refund us. I was only given an automated option to go online and cancel the flight. When I checked they would refund $1 and some change and that’s all. I spent at least $1000 purchasing our original flights through kiwi, very disappointing. Very poor service. At least BA gave us a voucher for a flight we had booked through using their website. Do not use KIWI website, book directly with the airlines you are flying with.

Unable to report bugs.. I hate companies with help topics limited to a list they create. It is totally arrogant of this company to be so deaf to users not to include a topic like “Report A Bug” or “Something Else” If the subject isn’t in their FAQ like topic list, there is no way to contact them. Bug #1: Payment Method update. My credit card expires tomorrow. The new card has the same card number but a new expiration date and CVV. No way to update exp date and CVV. Should be. OK add a new card. Sorry no! That card number is already on file but I am not allowed to edit it. So apparently I must delete the old card before adding the renewal card. 30 second task now takes 3 to 5 minutes. Bug #2: Contact Us function doesn’t recognize user logged in state and demands a second log-in. Log-in screen doesn’t recognize 1Password. No use of FaceID on iOS. A 5 second task now takes a minute and requires launching 1Password, cut and paste. The actual booking engine would be top rated but I must punish the company with a bad review for their unwillingness to hear from users. Fix the bugs and I will update my review.

If I could give this company -5 stars I would. How could you? There are millions of people around the world giving free services and support to people right now. And you are changing policies at the minute. Stealing money from people. And purposefully not offering options. There’s a man running laps for charity in his backyard at the age of 85. There are communities sewing masks because they want people to live. Bootstrapped companies giving services and technology away because they care. About humanity. There are companies and families struggling to survive with no healthcare. And you’re not only not even letting people CHANGE travel and give you money down the road. You’re charging fees on top of the new policies. You’re just taking. You’re just turning off the option. And forcing people in countries around the word to deliver the news. How dare you. How could you. This is disgusting.

Worst. Ever.. Worst travel company I have ever seen and will NEVER use them again. I had to deal with multiple companies making cancellations due to medical emergency and COVID and none of the others gave me nearly the headache Kiwi has. It’s been 6 months since I applied for a refund. They didn’t bother to cancel with the airlines before our flight, despite the fact I notified Kiwi of the cancellation 3 weeks before the flight. I finally reached the airline directly, paid them an additional $140 due to Kiwi’s incompetence, and STILL Kiwi hasn’t issued a refund or a denial letter. Their policy is refund decisions within 30 days. Then they said it could be 90 days. Then they admitted it may actually be more than a year, and the answer could still be “no refund.” Just awful.

Sticking with 1 Star. I wrote about how customer service is non-existent. I just received a response today after almost two weeks. Long story short, I placed a request to change my return flight and paid $300 for it. After placing that request, I saw an option (never showed before) to obtain a refund. It seems this refund is for the involuntary cancellation of the original return flight. Naturally, I took the refund. This all happened in the span of two hours. Now, I am being told that the flight has been canceled and can’t be reinstated. The app still shows that my return flight request is being processed (it’s been two weeks now!). This app is a SCAM and until they can show me otherwise, they took $1400 from me.

Scam. I purchased a ticket with Kiwi, instead of Airlines website, after going through Kiwi policies which indicates that with a small fee you can guarantee a full refund if you cancel your ticket 48 hrs before the travel. I canceled my ticket accidentally thinking I am rescheduling, and Kiwi only give me a 10 Euro Kiwi Credit. When I reached out to Kiwi agents, they say they can’t reschedule my flight and only refund 10 Euro out of 524 Dollars I paid originally for one way ticket. It would have been reasonable to refund me with Kiwi credit to make sure that I can purchase another ticket with them even if they won’t transfer the money to my credit card. I will never use Kiwi and I do not recommend it to anyone. Just another scammer at the corner.

Customer service. Booked my flight though this worthless company while ago. Found out that one of my flights in my upcoming trip was canceled by airline so I contacted Kiwi to find out what can we do they told me that second flight was not canceled thou? Lol. And when I asked how am I supposed to get to that flight all they told me that they will look into it. So long story short I proceeded to request refund one month before our flight was supposed to happen. They gave me 3 options. 1 wait for refund for 3 months, 2 pay them extra money to get expedited refund 3 they offered credit to their website for $120 even thou I spent $2200 lol again. This company is a joke it has been 3 months and have not received any refund or any contact from them. I would never use this company again and strongly suggest not to use them because they will rip you off.

Don’t Book Any Travel With KIWI - your $$ is gone. Like many people this year I had a planned trip to Europe that was canceled due to the pandemic. Kiwi books you through various airlines on their own card, but charges your card directly with their agency. I was able to speak with customer service at Norwegian air and found out that they had already refunded my airfare directly to Kiwi. Unfortunately, with Kiwi, you are not allowed to speak to anyone over the phone apparently… All interactions go through either email or text messages through their website. It has been over seven months since I know that they received a refund from the airline, and they have still yet to refund anything to me. You’re better off booking everything directly with the airlines. Any bookings you make with this company, just beware that you are risking not getting any money back.

Never use this service. I booked a trip through this service prior to covid and unfortunately my boyfriend and I were unable to go since the airlines canceled the trip. Kiwi initially made me pay to get assistance with a refund and has not communicated with me in a consistent manner on when we can expect our refund. We continue to get generic emails 5 months later telling us that there is a delay in refunding our trip due to the airlines giving them the money for the refund. I will never book through Kiwi again and i am in the process of filing complaints with the better business bureau, ripoff report, and other avenues. Yes the flights are cheap but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. In this case we paid to get ripped off. Just pretend this company is like covid-19 and keep your distance.

After confirmed Purchase Kiwi required an additional $98. After confirming booking, Kiwi claimed carrier changes made flights unavailable and my only option was to pay an additional $98 to travel on already agreed flight dates. When I tried to request a refund, Kiwi repeatedly discouraged this by saying I could lose the $262 already spent and may only get a partial refund months down the line. Even though they changed my confirmed booking, I will lose my money or had to spend approximately $100 more on flights. Unacceptable service. Aside from above. After promising the lowest price for the tickets, Kiwi inundated me with add on purchases (flight insurance, luggage fees, bag tracking, bag insurance, Kiwi representation, and then tried to discourage low purchase ticket by saying its the worst option you should go with a Standard ticket for an additional almost $100 or their fully covered ticket at around $200 more. I don’t recommend Kiwi. I went to Orbitz and spent about the same without the headache from Kiwi. I even made changes to my Orbitz flight return without an additional fee. May cost more up front but I didn’t have to deal with all the hidden fees that Kiwi threw at me. I was able to travel via Orbitz confirmed booking itinerary without issue.

Can’t check in online. So usually, you can check in to your flight 24 hours before it departs, right? Not on this app. On my boarding pass screen in the app, it said that check in would be available a day before my flight, as usual. However, when I went to check in, the same message was there even though it was after I should have been able to. Looked again throughout the day, and I finally got a new message that said online check in was no longer available. I left on the 30th, so I should have been able to check in on the 29th. However, the message I got said that online check in was only available until the 27th, which was not the case. Apparently, you just can’t check in online with this service, and in this day and age, that’s ridiculous.

Book thru other agency. The last reviews are 1 star so idk how they have a 4.4 rating. Kiwi’s a great source to find cheap flights, but their refund policy is nonexistent. I wanted to change the flight time (same date) for a AA booking I made within 24 hrs, but all they offered was a $10 credit. So I said fine and asked if they can just switch the flight. They say it’s already been canceled (which was a lie). Had I booked thru AA (who offers full refunds within 24 hrs like most agencies), there’d be no issues. So I called AA and explained the situation. They canceled my Kiwi booking (remember when Kiwi claimed it’s already been canceled) and offered to rebook the flight for the time I requested, OR receive flight credit. Since I didn’t book thru AA directly, there was a $50 processing fee. So, again, use Kiwi’s search engine for the best prices (or Skiplagged), but don’t book thru Kiwi.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨. Kiwi is scam! They use policy as excuse to wrap up the rules whenever YOU are the one who is seeking for right! Examples : _ More than 90% of the flights in world have 24 hours cancellation policy; Kiwi has 48hrs! ( Means if anything happens to your flight documents or any problem within 48hrs of departure you will lose 100% of your money) _ If you check their insurances, they’re ONLY available if you pay EXTRA! _ Now if you PAY EXTRA for their insurance They literally waste your time to refund! (In some cases you need to waste 1 year or more time to follow up your issue) and unfortunately among best of them all, you will not receive 100% refund! _ Check Insurances again and you realize that they almost ONLY cover their own rights, Not customer’s! (That’s why they negotiate much) Majority of Flight airline companies have right to resell the missing person’s ticket! Means if that case happens to you, you literally gave these companies extra money for free! I’m saying, if Kiwi actually cared about Customers, it would have never forced those examples on us! I don’t recommend it at all ! 💸

Worst app to fly on. I bought a one way ticket and eventually had to change it to another destination, before I did this I searched on the internet and also terms and conditions of flight change in the app to see if I would just have to pay the difference on the original amount, everything seemed ok until I payed and was charged full for the both of the flights and when I tried to contact support the guy just stated that it was in bold letters that I had to buy kiwi guaranteed for the difference on a change of flight which in no way shape or form did it say that in the terms and conditions, the guy in support also was extremely not help full telling me I should have checked first if you see this please go look somewhere else cause this app is the worst option if you plan on traveling somewhere

Terrible Customer Service. Customer support and honesty. I was told I could fix a misspelled name on the itinerary 48 hours before my flight, so I requested for the change. It took Kiwi 36 hours to “try” to fix the issue, and then they simply said they couldn’t do it. I called the airlines directly and 2 of the 3 could do it over the phone. Clearly, Kiwi doesn’t know how to do its job. Also, on our return trip, we ran into a winter storm and were going to miss our flight. I contacted Kiwi for help and it took 2.5 hours for a response. They simply said sorry we can’t help we need at least 48 hours. Sure you do. Especially, for an unplanned winter storm. We again contacted the airline directly and they were more than happy to help. Obviously, for these reasons I will never use Kiwi again or recommend their business to anyone.

Here there be SCAMMERS.... Never trust a company that asks you to buy customer service That was my first warning sign. Booking a flight to Europe on a scheduled, regular airline, kiwi asks if I want basic, plus (+$5) or premium (+$10) customer service. I chose basic. Once they issued my “ticket” I saw it didn’t have a standard 13 digit eticket number, or a 6 character record locator. This is a business trip, so I can’t risk an issue. I called Kiwi to ask for those necessary numbers. That record locator is critical for any issues with the airline. ALL THREE people I spoke to asked why I would #1, want to talk to the airline at all, and #2, need those numbers. When the supervisor told me that my record locator would be given to me the day of the flight, I lost it and insisted they cancel my ticket and refund the cost. There’s too much patronizing secrecy/control games for me to trust them. US law requires Airlines to refund if you cancel within 24 hrs of booking. Kiwi did process the refund but said I could expect 30 days for their “finance department” to process the refund, and did not guarantee I’d get anything. Do yourself a huge favor and never go near these shady folks. The only Kiwi is the voice on the phone system. Czech company, Indian customer service agents.

So far.. So far kiwi is 0 stars in my book. I updated this to 3 stars. I barely used the app. It didn’t help me any originally and I never went back to try again. I won’t go higher than 3 stars because of the original issues. It wouldn’t allow me to register my account, (so I can see my booking info on very concerned I paid for a flight and they took my money.) it was very stressful for me. I did learn from the airline this company didn’t provide my email address. They would have emailed me my ticket info and boarding pass. Had they given the airline my info - I would have had far less stress. This is my updated review. I started with 1 Star - because I was so upset about everything. This ticket was my return flight - I almost don’t go on my trip because of all this.

Terrible first experience. We booked our flights and right as we get to the airport it says our flight got rescheduled, we never received an email from Kiwi saying the adjustment. We booked 2 flights in a package and since the first flight got pushed forward a couple hours we missed our second flight. Guess what Kiwi did to help us out. Nothing. They only gave us alternative flights that cost more than both flights combined or a refund that will give money back guarantee... in 30 days!? Kiwi is not up to date with the airlines at all. Do not book your flight on this app i promise you it will cause you trouble. Imagine missing your flight, not knowing if you will go home or you're stuck in a different state or country. Unreliable, stressful, and they don’t even provide a Spanish translator.
