A True God-Send!!. Having this service is a true God-Send for me!! I have been in and out of therapy for years now. In because I needed it and out when I could no longer afford it. When my insurance told me about their partnership with Amwell for Behavioral Health after an attempted suicide, I was more than willing to try it. I have no co-pays or limits! I am so thankful!! Plus the convenience of not having to take the time to drive to an office, wait, hit just the highlights to try to get the most out of my visits before I couldn’t afford it anymore and hope for the best. For the first time, I am getting deep into things and getting to the deep core of things and not fearing if I will have the money for next week. I am really getting the therapy I need and have needed most of my life. The problem with the mental health crisis is affordability of therapists, Doctors and meds. Thank you Amwell for doing your part in making me whole!!

Amazing when you are strapped for time. I have been fighting a cold for 10 days, was getting better and BAM, has to be a sinus infection (if you have had one ever... you know). Super busy at work, no time to spend 2 hours on a live dr visit. I was able to sit in the “waiting room” while I was still working and when it was my turn, had a nice quick appointment with the doctor, he gave me awesome options to try to get immediate relief and an rx to use if I need it. I spent the same amount of time online talking with the doc as I would have if I had gone in, less the drive and extra wait time... Thank you so much!

Godsend!. Absolutely amazed at the quality of physicians, and the care they provide. If you have any doubts, I assure you the care you get on Amwell App is outstanding. I have a complex health situation, and, even on a Labor Day weekend, had excellent physicians available! Although I feel miserable sick, very relieved after my appointment, with the treatment Dr rx’d. I will add that this App is the most user-friendly & glitch-free, particularly after you have it set up with all your insurance info, health history, etc. But, far and away, my 5-star rating based on the quality of care, and calibre of physicians available on Amwell.

Better than Dr On Demand. Never write reviews, but I waited 40 minutes to be seen by Dr On Demand, I couldn’t quite hear them, and with probably 5 seconds that doctor disconnected. Maybe this app is less viral/well known at this point, so the wait time was less, but I was signed up, insurance info entered, and on a video chat with a doctor in the Amwell app within five minutes. Call quality clear, doctor was friendly (nurse practitioner) and understanding. Just needed an inhaler refilled, I don’t much like doctors and the whole health care never ending circle (meaning I don’t have a primary care physician), and the doc I talked to here was understanding, didn’t give me a hard time, simply wrote a prescription for my inhaler and gave me an extra refill when I asked. 5 stars all around.

So thankful for this app!. I’ve had this app downloaded for about a year, but haven’t had to use it. I’ve been so sick the last couple days. My doctor has been dodging my calls and I really didn’t want to go to the ER (it wasn’t an emergency, I’m just sick) I decided to give this a try and I’m so glad I did! I saw Dr. Lim and she was seriously the SWEETEST woman ever. She listened to me, asked me questions and was very thorough. Made me feel extremely comfortable and like I’ve known her my whole life. She’s wonderful and I know if I need to use this again, I’ll be looking for her, haha. I definitely suggest this app, especially if you can’t get into your doctor and don’t want to go to the ER (if it’s non-emergency*) 5/5 stars!

Worth it and also worth it. I’ve had this darn cold turned sinus infection turned bronchitis for like 10 days. All the websites basically said wait it out before you run to a doc. Well I waited and finally today decided I would try this app. Ummm, the doc was informative, super kind, understood why I waited, explained and answered all my questions and then gave me home remedy advice while I have to wait the night out for antibiotics and other meds. All from the comfort of my living room couch. Wham bam, 20 minutes later I’m getting a recap of what we discussed via email. Bomb diggity app and service if you ask me.

Great app! Awesome docs!. I have had to use Amwell 2x in the past week because I don’t have a primary doctor. I have had some chronic health issues for a few years now and while the issues are personal and I won’t disclose here I will say that the docs are great and compassionate and they listen which is more than I get when I visit an ER. I have gotten what I needed and even been given advice on unrelated health issues without someone saying, tell me on your next visit, which I have heard from doctors in person before. I love Amwell and this will be my go to instead of the ER or Urgent Care, hell maybe even instead of primary care!

Great experience!. Have had a cough for 3 weeks now that seemed to be getting slightly better when yesterday it got worse and I now had sinus pain too. I heard about this app from a neighbor and since my local doctor couldn’t see me for another 2 1/2 days, I decided to try it because I wanted to start medication right away (leaving for a cruise in 5 days). There was about a 10 minute wait, the doctor that I spoke to was assume-asked plenty of questions to know what she should be prescribing me to clear it up. I will definitely be using amwell again!

Tried all day to get an appt. Yes I know things are not normal with COVID-19. But I have literally been trying for 8 solid hours to get a visit. First selected the “call me” option. Three hours later I got a call that said “the provider declined your appt” and transferred me to customer service. I waited a few minutes and hung up. Tried again and the app randomly kicked me out at one point. No clue what happened but I was 7th in line and then I was out. Went back again, waited another two hours and was down to 5th in line and suddenly it hung there for over 1/2 an hour. This app is not well designed. It apparently puts you in line with a specific provider instead of just giving you first available. If that provider goes on break or leaves apparently you are out of luck?? Also you have to keep the app open which is incredibly annoying. Probably fine with low wait times if it’s a few minutes but definitely not when you are waiting for hours. So. Frustrating.

App good, not so much on provider. The app was fine, but the provider I got the app chose because I wanted to see the soonest doctor available. The doctor was kind of not the friendliest of people but I guess that’s ok, I don’t know what kind of day he was having. He had an accent and that was kind of hard for me to understand but maybe my American accent was hard for him to understand too. Anyway, I listed in the app I am allergic to penicillin. During the video chat he also asked me my allergies and I stated penicillin. He ended up prescribing me augmentin. When I called the pharmacy to see if they received the script she said yes but asked me if I told him my allergy. I said yes and she said well you can’t take augmentin, it’s a form of penicillin. She knew that but I wondered why he didn’t? There was no way for her to call him back so I had to contact Amwells customer service. About 4 hours later, after my pharmacy closed, an Amwell rep told me they could t get ahold of the doctor and offered for me to see him again for free or see another provider for free. Initially I chose another provider but later decided to email them and just ask them for a refund instead. I’m new to this tell doctor thing and it just kind of worried me to not know if what one of their providers are prescribing me is okay for me to take or not. The Amwell customer service reps were great though.

Buggy and poor usability testing. The keyboard for everything in the app has no autocorrection. The video feed dropped out a couple times. No feature to add an appointment to your phone’s calendar. When it asked me if I wanted to share my Apple Health information with my physician, I said yes. It then hung for a while, spinning an indicator. My screen turned off. I went to unlock my phone, and all the progress I had made on my preappointment information disappeared. I went through this process 3 times before I got fed up and told it to not share my Apple Health info. I was almost late to my appointment because of that. Doctor on Demand is a better app in my opinion, but I appreciate the attempt at Apple Health integration. It feels futuristic. But man, they need to fix these bugs, and enable autocorrect for the keyboard. It’s infuriating.

Mother of Special Needs Twins. THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH for putting together QUALITY SERVICE and AVAILABILITY for those of us who are caring for the rest of our family and cannot just get up and go to an Urgent Care Clinic whenever we are in need but we know things are going to get worse if we don’t get professional help! This whole app, service and process just has been a lifesaver and makes me feel like I can still take care of me too! You really have a great app, great doctors and a greater understanding for an experience I’d rather have from home to pharmacy and back skipping the clinic all together forever!!! Thank you again and again! Can I say: THANK YOU📣📣📣

Scam don’t pay them. I was charged, told they sent in a script for me several times after paying my $64 appt. They told me they called my local pharmacy and the pharmacy only answers the phone and voicemail between certain hours, 1 and again at 5 PM (not true). They stated they sent a paper fax over. All scripts are sent through an electronic fax now, my pharmacy told me, so they could not have sent a fax to any fax machine at their location via old fax style. My pharmacy stated no one leaves messages because they do not have a voicemail service, it rings to front of store which then continues ringing until answered during business hours. When I clicked on my own prescription to bring in within app, it disappeared instantly. This is a complete scam and way to take personal, and financial information. Take the app off of your phones!!! This is a waste of money, illegal at best, and stupid of me to have used

Never worked for me. My doctor’s office set up a virtual Appt. I downloaded the app on my phone. Apparently I was only supposed to use the link in the email and not download the app. When I tried to login thru the app, it said my email was already being used (I never used the app or website before). I tried to login thru the email link and it kept sending me into the app which I couldn’t login to. I tried to uninstall the app and use the email link but it kept trying to open the uninstalled app instead of just letting me open in the webpage. When I was finally able to get in through the app the video kept trying to connect but just timed out. Later my doctor said she could see me in the waiting room but I couldn’t see or hear her. She ended up just calling me on the good old reliable phone

So convenient. Daughter had unmistakable strep symptoms. I didn't want to take her into the doctors office, so I tried this. Easy registration process...NO WAITING. Doctor was face to face and very personable. He had the ability to look at her throat through my camera phone. I was able to explain what was going on and got a prescription called in for antibiotics almost immediately to my nearest pharmacy. Had this not been an option, I would have paid triple to go to my pediatricians office, would have had to take time away from work, and exposed her contagious bacterial infection to others.

Amwell is a waste of time!. I know what I have and how it needs treated. If I don’t treat, I end up worse off and sometimes in the hospital. Amwell provider would not listen, would not give antibiotics and what he wrote about me was a joke. Totally inaccurate. It would be so much easier to get my prescription online but this is simply a waste of valuable time and money. I will NOT do this again. If your so called doctors will not prescribe medicine you should say that up front so we know it is an information only call! Us poor people who do not abuse prescriptions are not being treated. The cost in the long run is more for insurance to pay and I am sick for months waiting for some “doctor” to listen or it gets to the point of turning into some that requires hospitalization. How is this helpful or right for patients?

Middle of the night savior. There is nothing fun about waking up in the middle of the night due to a severe toothache. I wasn’t going to be able to see my dentist till the next evening due to availability and I knew they were going to prescribe antibiotics for the infection. In my town you have the choice of going to your PC or DDS, the urgent care which is not 24 hours or the 1 star rated hospital. Thanks to Amwell and my wonderful visit with the Dr., I was able to get the medication I needed NOW instead of 18 hours later. Sure, the price may not have been covered fully by my Ins, but it was still a massive savings over urgent care and of course the ER. The doctor understood right away the pain I was in and wasted no time getting to business. I cannot thank Amwell enough. I just wish more insurances covered visits like this.

Wonderful, convenient and time saver. Used the app for the first time and this was such a life saver. Labor Day holiday and son had pink eye, really contemplating going to er or urgent care but dreading the wait especially with 2 other kids. Checked my insurance coverage and came across virtual visit which was under our plan. Looked into more and tried it out. Gave us a list of doctors/pediatricians available, picked one and waited less than 10 minutes in the comfort of our home. Doctor very personable, took time to interact with son and me and prescribed medication to our selected pharmacy. Will be definitely recommending and using again.

Happy with Service. I was somewhat worried at first about this service. I used it because I had a rash on my cheek, and with no time to actually sit for hours in a doctors office I gave it a try. It was very quick, I think I waited at most 5min before the doctor talk to me via FaceTime. It was so convenient right from my office , and got my medication the same day at the pharmacy I choose. I would definitely recommended. They do accept a lot of insurances. I reas they also accept not insure individuals, and I believe is about $69 the consultation. If you have not tried it, do you will love it.

Dr. Cornell explains to you in English terms so you understand.. This was the first time using this service. From the time they answered. Rachel was very nice, patient and was able to calm me bf even speaking with the doctor. I understand his oath. He wasn’t able to help me with my prescriptions. It’s rough. My doctor left the practice and left me without my meds. It’s mind blowing to me. I’m bipolar, PTSD, Agoraphobia, depression, anxiety. I’ve been on them since 2005. It tells you not to stop them any of them without winging yourself off. Yet these Doctors do what they want. We need a change. I’m not talking about this AmWell. I’m speaking of our doctors we go to they know us. Unexceptionable.

Updated: excellent customer service. Before I used this app I went looking for a review like this, but didn’t really find one. So I’ll specifically mention that this is not a service for help with migraines. They will just say, I can’t help you on this platform, you need to see a neurologist. I’m trying to get them to give me at least a partial refund, since I didn’t receive any service at all, but I’m not terribly optimistic. I’ll update my review if they do offer a refund of some type. * update * I explained my issue and they’ve offered a full refund. This is generous, since I did spend time talking to the doctor. I was hoping for a partial refund. I’ll definitely use this service in the future, for other issues.

Amazing! Changing the way we deal with health issues!!. Through my provider US healthcare and my company Amex - copay was not bad and got a dr to “see” me over the app/video in minutes. I was super impressed, the DR was very knowledgeable and asked all the right questions to get my sinusitis diagnosis. They sent the prescription to my pharmacy right through the system and I picked it up 15 mins later. Amazing vs. going through all the hoopla of making an appointment, waiting for availability, driving to the DR office, filling out paperwork I’ve filled out 6 times before (at that very same office), waiting in the waiting lobby, then waiting in the actual waiting room, and then driving to the pharmacy and waiting there for 20 mins, then driving back home. I will sooo pay the copay for this from now on!! Thank you Amwell for this service you’ve just made being sick a little less miserable!

So easy and helpful. I saw a nurse the moment I needed regarding nutrition and fertility needs. Not only did the app provide an easy way for me to go to the next step, but I got an online tutorial about what was going to happen. The audio and visual were perfect! I spent the first 15 min sharing more detail to my medical history, the next 15 min walking through my diet and then the nurse spent the next half hour walking me through recommendations. She went 15 min over our scheduled meeting and was amazing! I took notes on everything and am hoping to follow-up on the app after implementing her recommendations in a few weeks.

Hold times are ridiculous. We requested an appointment at 8:30am. It said we’d receive a phone call. 2:30pm comes around and no phone call, although there aren’t that many patients waiting for an appointment. You can’t even try to request for another appointment because it just says that you are either in a call already or about to receive a call. So, I call their support line and wait 25 minutes before someone answers. Then she just sends me straight tech support and I wait another 10 minutes before someone answers. They can’t even do anything about it until they put a ticket in and then someone goes in to fix my issue. They couldn’t tell me how long this would take or if it would even be today. He tells me that most doctors are only accepting video calls so phone calls can take hours, yet, the app mentions absolutely nothing about it.

Poor app design and healthcare providers. While trying to signup for Amwell on my iPad, I guess we don’t UX test because I got stuck on the registration page and it kept throwing an error to accept the privacy policy conditions and there wasn’t one. Eventually I un-docked my iPad and flipped the orientation and then it was there but if you have your iPad in landscape - how this hasn’t been fixed by now is beyond me. Secondly, when I finally did get registered there’s only one provider in my area for what I’m looking for, and it’s pretty common. I went to research the provider online and they have less-than-favorable reviews everywhere. I thought that was one of the benefits of tele-health was to expand the reach of available providers, but there has to be more than one provider in my area. If not y’all need to hire some recruiters.

On point. Originally, I had booked an appointment with a different virtual clinic early in the morning when they sent my link to connect finally after waiting a couple of hours they gave me 30 seconds to connect which it took me about 33 seconds to actually hit the button because I wasn’t feeling well first of all need less to say they canceled my appointment.. so of course I tried to book another appointment with same clinic of course an hour and a half later they sent me the link to connect with the doctor. I literally held my fingers on my keypad just waiting on the link, but I guess I was slow at responding within 15 seconds, and again it was canceled shame on me, but I should have went to another virtual clinic at that time but when we’re sick, we do weird things so I book with them again needless to say finally at 9 o’clock on the day that I booked the same appointment with a clinic it took me all of 20 minutes to fill out everything I needed to fill out and be seen by my doctor and get diagnosed and get my prescriptions!! I will definitely be using Amwell from this day forward!! They definitely get five stars If I could give more, I would would definitely recommend this company!! Thanks am Amwell!!

Not Great. Both times I’ve used this app I’ve had issues. The first time I signed up for a visit with a doctor and waited an hour to never receive a call. I called customer service and they said that the doctor must have logged off for the day or there was an error. The second doctor I got assigned to was very nice and helpful but it took over 2 hours for that to happen when it should have been 10 minutes or less according to the wait time I was originally given. The second time I used the app I signed up for a visit and was only on the phone for 30-60 seconds with the doctor because they advised they couldn’t treat me for the same issues if it was more than once in less than 6 months. Why was I not advised this when signing up for the visit when I specifically put the same issue I had been seen for through this app previously? So I get charged the visit fee for no service provided to me? I requested a refund through customer service and they said it may take a few days but also said if you don’t hear back in like a month contact us again. So it’s not sounding promising.

Very Impressed!. Just used Amwell for the 1st time (had never even heard of it until I was checking my insurance benefits online & saw that I only have a $15 copay for telemedicine & was connected to Amwell)...great experience! Easy to get started, cheap, & Dr. Emily Clagg was very nice & helpful! I had cold symptoms for almost 2 weeks recently & was clearing up, but started having a pretty rough, intermittent, chesty cough a few days ago. My doctor didn’t have any openings & they don’t take walk-ins, so I decided to give this a try versus paying $75 for an urgent care visit. Dr. Clagg had me give her a deep cough, & she immediately said she was leaning toward bronchitis (which I’d suspected), & sent Rx’s for a steroid, Mucinex, & antibiotics if I develop a fever to the pharmacy of my choice. I will DEFINITELY use Amwell again!

Could be better. Jaime Martinez was the last Dr I saw and I don’t recommend him. He acted annoyed or bored during our visit and talked to me like I was clueless. I knew my daughter had an ear infection and have an otoscope I can use to check. I told him her ear was bright red inside but instead of asking me about her eardrum he asked me what her “tempranic membrane” looked like. I didn’t know that was the medical term for eardrum so I was confused about what he was asking and he basically dismissed what I said I had seen. I don’t feel like he made any effort to communicate effectively with me as a patient/layperson, he was not overly friendly or personable. Also, during our visit he appeared to be sitting in front of a window and I could see someone walk past during our appt. Not sure that’s following confidentiality requirements for working from home in the medical field.

Extremely Happy w/ This Service. OMG!!! I was super hesitant to try this service but didn’t feel like sitting in Urgent Care for hours for my particular issue. The intake process was surprisingly super fast! And the app is very user friendly. Once I completed my medical history and input my insurance information, I spoke with the doctor in less than 5 minutes! And this was around 2:30! Mid-day!!! When it’s usually impossible to get in and out of an urgent care facility. the whole process took less than 30 minutes! I promise, I do not write reviews, don’t have time, but I had to take a few moments to write this review b/c I was thoroughly impressed! The actual doctor, Dr. Cynthia Horner was AWESOME! She was patient with my explanation for calling in today, I did not feel rushed AT ALL, which sometimes happens in urgent care offices, she was on top of all of my questions and I felt very comfortable with her diagnoses. She even offered some encouragement around my fitness goals! I am so impressed and will definitely tell all of my friends about this experience! Thank you sooo much!

My husband will let me vent for free. I used this service to get a second opinion on some lab results because I felt like my primary care doctor was just dismissive of me. I uploaded my lab results to the app. All the doctor did was tell me to go back to my primary care and ask if maybe they would look at this or consider this. If that could be done or if I felt like my primary doctor was actually listening to me then I wouldn’t have used this service. It was like they were hesitant to actually say anything for certain and then told me to try and get a rx from my primary doctor. HELLO! Again if my primary doctor was actually listening to me then why would I be asking anyone else’s opinion. If he thought I could benefit from an rx why would he not write me one. Are they actual doctors or just nurses?

App worked well, visit went well, UI issue. I was able to see a doctor fairly quickly. The doctor had reviewed the information and pictures I submitted. She asked key questions, did a great job of listening and did not finish the session until she was sure all of my questions were answered. I was satisfied with her diagnosis, suggested treatment and plan if things did not get better. Only issue was with the UI as I was entering all the address info, etc. (iPad 2017). The keyboard would cover buttons and checkboxes and you could not scroll to them. (You have to collapse the keyboard to get to these things - not terribly intuitive and could cause some to bail on the app.)

Poor experience in app + poor medical assistance. The application itself is very glitchy and buggy. There were multiple times the app crashed during setup. Once I did complete setup and attempted to connect with a provider online, I was told the provider I selected would contact me promptly. 15 minutes later there was no call and no record of the pending appointment anywhere on my account. There was no way to contact anyone or receive any kind of update. I attempted to set up another appointment in fear that I hadn’t properly set the original appointed - went through the entire process only to be told that my initial appointment was still pending, and I could not set up another appointment until the initial appointment completed. Another 15 minutes go by, and I finally get a call from a physician that was not the physician I selected. He then proceeded to tell me that he wasn’t authorized to prescribe antiviral treatments for Covid 19 because I was not high risk, even though that is not in alignment with the CDC’s most recent messaging. All in all, I spent hours and $80 to get told inaccurate information from a physician that was not the one I selected. While the $80 is the max you will pay, the app was unable to confirm my insurance carrier, so made me pay the full amount in full before I could see a physician. All in all - very poor experience and I will not use this app again.

Amazing telenurse visit. If you ever need to see your doctor, but they don’t have any appointments available then you should definitely use Amwell televisit! I woke up with Pink eye in my right eye, so I called my doctors office and they told me they didn’t have any appointments available until next week. Since I needed an antibiotic today, and I did not want to have to go to urgent care, I decided to do a Tele visit with Amwell. I did it through the app on my phone, it was very efficient and easy to do. The nurse practitioner , Ms Hull, that I spoke to was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She called in a prescription to my local pharmacy after talking to me on the app, and looking at the photos that I sent her. I highly recommend Amwell to anyone who needs to speak to or see a doctor and can’t get an appointment with their personal physician.

Prompt, good service. I have used Amwell several times since the pandemic started and have been very pleased with the service and the physicians with exception of one. However the experience I’ve had since that visits and the experience with other physicians on staff, have over shadowed that experience. The prompt and very Professional service I have experienced since has earned my 5 star review. As long as I continue to experience such good service and caring approach. I recommend it to all in need of none emergency care.

Traveling for work. I woke up Sunday morning with a cough that had gotten even worse than it had been the last few days. My dad is getting surgery this week, so on top of leaving town for work I was concerned about walking into his recovery room with something contagious. The doctor I saw was understanding and nice. He asked a lot of questions about how I am feeling now and how I have been feeling. Basically, he determined it is likely viral - which is contagious but will likely only last for another few days. He also told me what to look for in the event that it wasn't viral and I could use a prescription. The visit was great and certainly put me at ease!

The answer to a busy lifestyle!. I am one of those people who puts off going to the doctor because it’s not convenient to me unless it was urgent. Not to mention I’ve never had a primary doctor so the thought of going to see a stranger and have to give them my entire health history for every ailment is annoying. If you share some of these feelings then this app is the answer. I’ve used it several times and every doctor I’ve talked or video called with has been nothing short of professional, friendly and fast. Not to mention has saved me hundreds if not thousands in costs related to urgent care or emergency room visits. So worth the time and money. Best invention in my opinion.

Don’t waste your time or money. Couldn’t connect to the doctor, who just kept saying hello. After the video chat disconnected, I was charged for the “visit.” I called back in and they sent off a request to have it resolved. They offered to transfer me to a doctor on the phone. I accepted and was given a diagnosis and prescription. Walgreens never got the prescription that the doctor told me would be there within an hour. I called in again, and they created another ticket and said it could be up to four hours to resolve. I did this because it is supposed to be convenient. It would have been less easier to go to a brick and mortar clinic. I tried the service because I’m out of town for business travel. Way to disappoint, Amwell.

Such a great experience. This makes such a difference to me! I used to put off having to go to the doctors for infections because of the hassle it was and during a time when I wasn’t feeling well to begin with. Amwell was so easy to use, so fast, and the experience with the doctor was great. The doctor asked all of the right questions to make sure everything was covered and was easily able to gauge my own familiarity with my condition (something I’ve dealt with chronically) and addressed me in the most fitting manner. There have been countless times in the past I’d suffered through having an infection until it became so bad I needed immediate treatment, all because I wanted to avoid having to go into a doctors office, take 2 hours to be seen for 5 minutes, then give a lab specimen, all so I could get the antibiotic I already knew I needed. Thank goodness for Amwell. This service truly makes a difference in our population’s overall health and well-being.

The idea is great, but they have some kinks to work out.. Cheap and fast internet health is a break through. However this isn’t the only option. Next time a doctor is no longer available for services, the patient should be notified. Instead I found out when I couldn’t get a refill of antidepressants, being forced to come off without tapering. Amwells customer service has no plan for that scenario, or their service department isn’t aware of it. While I noticed this isn’t particularly an ‘at fault’ issue. They were not able to help in something serious that had their name on it. Please fix this kink so no one else has to feel like admitting themselves to the hospital because communication wasn’t established and protocol wasn’t in place. Thanks.

Caring Doctor! Great Service!. I looked all over the internet trying to find an online doctor and found Amwell to be the most straightforward (and reasonable) regarding prices, available physicians and insurance coverage. I signed up to meet with the first available doctor, entered my credit card info, agreed to a charge of $59 and within 1-2 minutes I was face-to-face (via FaceTime) with my physician. Dr. Sandy Wiita greeted me with a warm, genuine smile. She asked me some questions and even though I was fiddling with my phone, attempting to prop it onto a stable surface and fidgeting as I spoke, she listened intently. I felt almost immediately comfortable - as though I was meeting with my family doctor. Dr. Wiita was thorough, caring and very knowledgeable. I rate my experience five stars and would recommend this application and service to anyone looking for a reasonably priced medical appointment, a qualified, compassionate doctor, and the ability to see a doctor at home 24/7 within minutes of signing up.

Best way to see the doctor 24/7. I almost never write reviews but this was such a great experience! Dr Charles Wallace was polite, asked relevant questions and completed my visit quick without making me feel rushed. I waited maybe 10 mins to video chat with him which is less time than it would take me to drive to urgent care! I would recommend this to anyone with a mild medical need and avoid the long waits and often rude office staff at a regular dr office, urgent care or emergency room. It cost me $69 because I have a high deductible health plan. Going to urgent care is around $80-$100 for me. Worth every penny! I got to see a doctor at midnight from the comfort of my own couch!!!! Fantastic!!!

Working Mom. I just used this app for the first time and it was LIFE-CHANGING! Less than 5 minutes for something I would have had to take off of work for, drive across town, wait at the Doctor’s office, see the Doctor, go to a pharmacy, wait some more... (you get the picture). Sign me up! Where has this app been my whole life?! Doctor was super nice and knew exactly what I was needing. I thought it would be weird, but it wasn’t. SO EASY. I even enjoyed it from the comfort of my bed, at 10:30 at night. Dr. sent in my rx and I will pick up tomorrow morning (without having to take off work). Mommas KNOW how precious sick leave is when you have little ones!! I say WINNING. Thank you Amwell :)

Blessing!. I have used the app once before & loved it, sadly for years I wasn't able to gain entrance to my account, I have used other apps since then but none as amazing as this. I needed to see a DR ASAP but I haven't had time & am smack in the path of our latest hurricane so time isn't on my side at the moment. At 1:40 am I was able to talk to customer service, get in my account & see a doctor by 2am. I was prescribed the antibiotics I need & can now get them without worry before the storm. I have been in pain for days due to my infection, thank you AMWELL for saving the day!

Convenient but.... I was away from home and miserable with a cold that had gone into my ears. I knew that if I went to urgent care the visit would be $100 and they’d just tell me to wait it out because it wasn’t infected yet. As I thought the Dr. I spoke with here said just that and didn’t prescribe an anti biotic. but was able to call in a steroid and only cost me $40 for the visit. My own Doc. Costs me $150 a visit so I don’t even go there. I rated this app a 4 because there are 2 things I don’t like. One the dr had a slight accent that was a tiny bit hard to understand and two I wish they checked back in 3 days to see if symptoms have lessened or there was a way to ask the dr. A question that I missed when I was on the phone with her. Otherwise is has been a good option for my budget.

1 no show, 2 cancellations, unacceptable. Let’s pretend you’re in need of professional help but can’t get to see a same day doctor. That’s my situation, no thanks to this lousy experience trying to secure an appointment on AmWell. The app earns 3 strikes. I deducted 3 stars, assuming everything would have gone excellent had it worked. AmWell offers no explanation or specifics to me on why the 2cancellations or 1 no show. They just give a customer service number to reschedule. Perhaps it was unfortunate timing and luck but that shouldn’t matter. When AmWell offers a professional patient care service, three chances is enough to judge it by. My first doctor wasn’t online (or didn’t pay attention) and I waited 30 minutes before logging off with no consult. The next appointment cancelled the morning of, which at least allowed me time to find another slot for the same day. 10 mins before my third appointment I received a cancellation alert. This is akin to a Skype consultation and I can guess it would be ideal you need a care ASAP. Don’t get your hopes up, though. Any patient would get discouraged after three failed attempts to get help. Not a good start!

SCAM. My boyfriend used this service because he had a skin issue that he needed an antibiotic for. He’s had this issue before and has received an antibiotic in the past. He figured since he already has a documented diagnosis, it would be easy and more cost effective to use this service and get the antibiotic prescribed. The dr spoke to him for a total of 5 minutes and told him he needed to go see Urgent Care. Okay but when he asked if he would still be charged the $69 even though the dr didn’t really do anything, the dr told him yes! So now we’re out $69 for a dr to tell him he needs to go to Urgent Care which is going to cost another $170??? What’s the point of even using this service. DON’T USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY EXTRA AND JUST END UP GOING TO URGENT CARE ANYWAY. What horrible service this company provides. 5 minutes for $69. Disgusting!

won't let me message my therapist. I've contacted customer service 3 times & they have not emailed me an answer or solution to message my therapist directly through Amwell. The 1st reply did not seem like they even read my question - they only emailed me how to start my appt with her when we met. I emailed again to ask HOW to message my therapist b/c I can't find her by search to get more options. The profile that pops up when I click on our appt time only gives me the option to cancel, but there is no way to message her directly. I'm very disappointed with them not reading my actual question & providing a solution! I also dislike that it isn't tailored to only therapists that accept my insurance! I almost booked an appt with a therapist that didn't accept my insurance. Luckily, I could cancel up to the last minute without having to pay a fee of any kind.

Dr. Gray. My Dr. was very nice and professional. Because of the photos I took he was able to diagnose my pink eye in 5 minutes. He was quick and to the point, I really liked him. This service is awesome for issues like Pink Eye, because it made it possible for me to be seen by a Physician, without having to risk the Dr’s. Office during the Coronavirus outbreak. I would recommend this service for a number of conditions that are fairly minor, or even to do a coronavirus screening. However, if I was having any serious symptoms I would just go to the ER, less serious but bad enough-Instacare. Pink Eye is very contagious, and like coronavirus, it isn’t something I want to spread. I hope this type of service grows in order to eliminate the need for going to the Dr’s office, especially when you you aren’t very contagious. Pink Eye has made me feel self conscious, it hurts, and I don’t want to keep my eyes open. I think this is a great way to get screened for covid-19 also, cutting down the unnecessary spread so we can all be more safe.

Disappointed. I signed up to schedule a therapy appointment for my child, I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day, however I was not seeing the appointment in my calendar. I received an email confirmation but still called to have them verify and they stated they didn’t see any appointments. They were able to schedule the appointment for me, I received an email confirmation but in the morning I checked and it was still not in the calendar on the app. I called and they advised they do not see any appointments had been scheduled and the next available therapist was a month out. This was extremely frustrating and I will be deleting this app. I will say that the representatives I spoke to were all very helpful and pleasant, but the app is horrible.

Terrible. This is a terrible service. After having difficulty setting up my account and having to contact customer support to even log in, we waited over 1/2 hour in a cue. After we finally spoke to a doctor he said the system identified me as the patient and not my son which he admitted happens frequently. Next we had to get back on the phone with CS as if course he couldn’t see us now as the wrong patient was identified. CS unformed ya that we would have to pay the full $69 dollar rate and then try and get reimbursed from the insurance company. Then was told I had to get back in the cue again to wait... no thanks. Not convenient, never was seen, ended up in the urgent care anyway. Don’t waste your time with this crappy service!!

Fast, friendly, professional experience!. Rather than taking my ill daughter to Urgent Care, we tried this. We were both amazed how efficient and friendly the physician was. The initial data entry took only a few minutes, we waited 2 minutes for the doctor and within 5 minutes the doctor had called in my daughters needed prescriptions to our local pharmacy. Entire experience was 10 minutes from our living room couch!

Completely Disappointed!. I have been trying to speak to a doctor through Amwell since 7pm, and it is now after 11pm. I spoke to a Dr. Mia briefly, but I had tapped the wrong button when trying to make this appointment and she explained I needed to cancel the appointment, schedule it again and make sure I indicated that the patient was my daughter. I did this. She also told me if I rescheduled, she would be able to see me as soon as she could. But I was number 7 in the waiting room. I decided to wait it out for this doctor. Just as I was about to be seen by her, I was sent to a new doctor who hadn’t seen pictures of my daughter or her eye (which is probably pink eye). Meanwhile, my daughter fell asleep after crying herself to sleep. I’ll just go to the regular doctor tomorrow. This wasted my entire night.

Love the convenience and privacy. When your child is ill and flu is is at an all time high the last place I want to be is sitting in a germ infested waiting room. Letting my child stay in her pjs at home in bed waiting to be seen is an incredible privilege. I also don’t have to worry about picking up another illness while her immune system is weak. I also don’t have to worry about getting sick myself. It’s so quick! The providers are kind and polite. Best service ever!

Customer service?. Firstly, the app is fine. The visit was fine. If it weren’t for the following, I would rate the app five stars. However, I was prescribed meds and my pharmacy hasn’t received it yet, 3 hours later. No big deal, I will call Amwell’s support desk. I have been on hold for over an hour and the automated voice giving wait times has given me so many different times via this call. 15 minutes in I had a 55 minute wait time according to the recording. 30 minutes in I had a 30 minute wait time. Five minutes later it was back up to 50. Now an hour in, back to 40. This is awful. I will never use this service again, just for this reason alone. I’m sure when this works well, no support needed, it deserves praise. When it doesn’t...

Feel like I was robbed. I waited my turn for 40 minutes as the next patient, then it changed doctors and waited about another 15. Well when I finally spoke to him he was rushing to get me off the phone. Waited an hour for him to kick me off the phone in 90 seconds. Sent me penicillin and said go to the ER if you have pain. The whole reason I tried this was because I’m scared of getting covid19 at the ER since I have a lung disease. EDIT: I called and was told I would not be charged for my visit because how fast it was and being rushed off, well 5 days later I got charged. I will update again and let you know what they say. I will also be posting this to everywhere I can leave a review about Amwell

Very impressed!. We are recovering from the hurricane here in fla and my doctors office is closed. I didn't want go to the emergency room. I have a UTI and CVS Minute Clinics will not treat you and will send you to urgent care. This app and doctor visit was such a blessing. I didn't have to leave the house, wait in line....I've done plenty of that lately, and I have a prescription waiting for me at my local Walgreens. All done on this chat! Marvelous. Thanks so much for putting my mind at ease. Oh, I wish I would have done my hair and makeup! Didn't like seeing myself! Yuck! :-) great doctor!

Horrible Service. Had a great call advised a prescription would be sent in. Over 48 hours later and Prescription still has never been received by pharmacy. The statement from visit gives a number to call regarding prescriptions however does not work. Also calling customer service multiples times waiting over an hour to get transferred and hung up on over and over. We have emailed with no response. Since service was not completed by Amwell and we had to use Teledoc which sent a prescription right over to the pharmacy I would like a refund however there is no one to speak to and emails are not answered. Callers beware. Also our deductible has been met and Amwell is changing even more than the full contracted rate with UHC.

iPad app worked well. I very much enjoyed my first telemedicine experience using my iPad. I did experience two times during the course of my visit where the audio and video froze for approximately 12 - 20 seconds. But when it resumed it performed as expected. On my second telemedicine visit for a follow up appointment, my iPad died. I should have checked my battery status beforehand and should have plugged it in to power. After my iPad came back up, I had to re-complete the check-in process steps again but I had expected that.

Excellent service, fast and easy. I don’t go to the doctor until absolute last minute. Due to the fact of missing work sitting in a doctors office ETC. however with Amwell service was fast and simple. Did it while in the office working and took approximately 10-15 minutes. Diagnosed over the phone, prescription called in will be better in a few days. Was half the price of a regular doctors visit as well! Will be doing again

Don't waste your time. 0 stars. Period. I paid my co pay and everything and have still not gotten ahold of the doctor. I called customer service and was put on hold for an hour. Then when I called again to requea refund I was put on hold an still haven't gotten to speak to anyone, I dont know if I'm getting a refund or not but definitely will take this to court if I dont get a logical explanation on this inconvenience. Sidenote, if they say they're transferring you to tach support just hang up. The longest I waited was two and a half hours before hanging up. I'm done and livid with this, I'd rather go to a hospital and risk getting covid 19 than to sit and listen to their crappy wait music for another hour. Terrible service. As I'm typing this I'm on hold.

Excellent service. I’ve been up all night coughing and unable to swallow. It’s Saturday so my doctors office is closed and it’s 4:00 a.m. so urgent care is not open yet. I have never tried online before but thought I would just try it. I was connected in just a few minutes after putting in my history and symptoms. The doctor connected and prescribed antibiotic in less than 5 mins. So glad I don’t have to sit in a waiting room to see someone for hours. I love this app. And service.

Amazing!. I’m a mom of 4 little kids (all born in 5.5 years). I don’t ever have the time to take care of myself. It’s hard to load them up and take them with me to the doctor when I need to go. With AmWell I’m able to see the doctor without having to leave the house, get ready, get my children ready, drive to the doctor... it’s amazing! Prescriptions are sent directly to my pharmacy and I only have to leave the house to pick them up. I’m now able to get the care I need, when I need it. I’m able to feel better much sooner.

Back Pain. As I write this my back is hurting bad. Like a 9 on a scale of 1-10. I cannot sit long so driving was my absolute last option to go see a doctor. I Google TeleMed doctors and Amwell came up. The process was so easy. The doctor was wonderful. Most of all I love how they send the prescription to the pharmacy and are able to provide doctor notes. I will definitely be using them again if need be. Now I have to find someone to pick up my medication for me. Thanks Amwell -Back Pain from Texas-

SO convenient and efficient!!. I LOVED my first virtual dr visit ever!!! I was a little apprehensive and hesitant to do an online visit but I needed to get a dr to assess my condition and possibly prescribe medication since I’ve been using OTC meds for over a week and they’re not helping me to get better. It was quick and easy to consult with a dr assess my symptoms and health and lifestyle and figure out what the next steps should be. Super thankful for how easy and convenient the visit was. I DEFINITELY would use again and Highly recommend!!!

Setup is a nightmare. Not what you need when sick.. Three times I went through the set up process, each time the app stalling at a different point. Sometimes it was sending my health information. Sometimes it wouldn’t even get that far. Each restart was from the beginning. It didn’t remember any of my information from the time before. On your iPhone? Don’t even think about using Apple Pay. Instead, go find your credit card and manually type in all that information. Check with your healthcare provider to see if you have other options. For something claiming to be the “convenience” method of healthcare, it sure is frustrating.

Amwell. No no is my advice I think. I downloaded the app cause I was looking for a local doctor and unfortunately due to this pandemic crisis on the website of this doctors webpage it suggested I downloaded the app to use virtual But I finally checked it out this morning Choosing video and as I waited for search of provider it showed a screen telling me dr was no longer on line so that’s it this app don’t have too many features so I tried again this time phone and waited twenty minutes and I heard a quick mid guiding response telling me I was being put on conference call? I got charged twice for no service after waiting an hour and twenty minutes Bee careful

AMAZING!. I am obsessed with this app and how easy it was. I was having a pain and didn't have time to take off work to go to the doctors. A friend told me about this app and how this is all they use now. I decided to give it a try and I was seeing a doctor in less than a minute. I explained my pain and my problems and she knew exactly what was wrong. She sent my prescription to my pharmacy and from he time I started and finished it was a 5 minute FaceTime. I am very impressed by this app and it's not expensive at all! I recommend it to all my friends and family.

Connection problems, but great doc. There was only one available provider and she had six patients waiting, took over an hour. When I finally connected, the app quit out on me instantly and I had to go back in and start over. Thankfully the wait was shorter by then but still very disappointing. The NTN assisting the doc would come into the waiting room and send a text but left immediately after so there was no option to respond. Quite weird, seems like a glitch. Aside from the platform logistics, the provider I saw was extremely helpful and it was a quick visit. Luckily I was just hanging out on my couch watching TV so not in a huge hurry.

UI issues make it unusable for me. I gave up trying to schedule a video visit from my iPad. On the second screen (emergency address info, etc.), it wouldn’t scroll down far enough to complete some of the required fields, so I couldn’t continue. Also tried switching from landscape to portrait, no help there. Seems like it might be related to using an external keyboard, as when I force-quit the app and relaunched, I was initially able to scroll, but after hitting tab to move between fields I wasn’t able to. Rather than re-launch the app a third time and try to remember not to touch the tab key, I just used a laptop.

Easy great alternative!!. All around excellent experience. Dr. Was prompt, pleasant and professional!! I downloaded the app. & I entered background & insurance info… basic info. Waited a short time in the comfort of my home, for a basic, common and uncomfortable condition!!! I Was so relieved that I didn’t have to get ready, drive in the cold & go to urgent care as I can never get in to see my PCP. Especially when I didn’t feel well and knew what I had going on. As well, so many cases of Covid, RSV, Flu etc.. that I didn’t want to be exposed to that either!! Very happy with this benefit of my UHC plan, the software worked great and the dr. Was incredibly calm, nice, knowledgeable and quick!! Absolutely love this option. WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO OTHERS AND I WILL USE AGAIN!!

Very happy and in better health. Much better price for exceptional service . Needed further help after the first visit when Dr was in the cyber visit room so the Dr. actually called us back like returning to the room for additional patient assistance. Nothing lacking here! I received (the same) actually- better -service as I've ever rec'd locally for a much better price. Thank you Dr. Warner and the whole AmWell team! The hubby is feeling better already. We will return, hopefully not too soon though! Thanks for keeping us happy and healthy !!!

Don’t take all insurances, there very expensive. If your a Medicare beneficiary like me, they don’t take most Medicare planes. Infact they only take one. They are literally no HMO plans. It was a waste of my time. Based on reviews and them taking insurances I figured I would try it out but if your an out of pocket pay, there are cheaper apps that cost way less. They want almost 80$ for a visit even before insurances. I have been shopping around and this is the most expensive I seen so far. There are others for less then 50$. So steer clear especially if you don’t have insurance. User friendly interface though. That’s why it’s so good if your blessed to be able to pay into private insurance.

Terrible experience. This service is awful. I saw a doctor through it Saturday morning because I had run out of a prescription medication and desperately needed a refill. The doctor said she'd call in the prescription to my 24-hour pharmacy so I was like, okay, great, crisis averted. Except she didn't. I checked with the pharmacy Sunday and still nothing. There is no way for me to contact the doctor through the app. Not even to say, hey, you forgot to call in the prescription. I contacted Amwell via email Sunday, and they responded that they will forward my email to their clinical team for review. It's now Monday at 2 pm, and I haven't heard back. I tried calling their customer support and was put on hold for 40 minutes until I finally gave up. The meds are hormones, and since I've missed two doses I've started my period, which isn't supposed to start right now (i track my cycles). It's horrible. It's a disaster. And what good was that appointment if I couldn't get the emergency prescription that I needed?! You're better off going to urgent care. Yeah, it takes more time, but at least you'll get what you need.

Awesome experience on multiple visits. I’ve been one time myself. My wife has been as well. I also used Amwell for my 10-year old son. All three times we were on our phones. All three times we were very pleased with the results. You can do most anything on your phone that can be done at the urgent care center. My son was diagnosed with strep and my wife with bronchitis. Antibiotics were prescribed and everything worked out great. I highly recommend this as a quick and inexpensive way to see a doctor!

Do NOT download!. I am completely disappointed. I spoke to a “Dr. Romano”, I don’t know if he is being overwhelmed or over worked but the amount of ATTITUDE was unbelievable. I needed a quick appointment to clear me for work because I had just recovered from a cold and needed a doctors note to return due to the epidemic. I opted for a phone call to make it quick and easy. The first thing he does is BERATE me for not using the video chat and basically how he’s not accepting my call. And when I just tried to ask him a question or to explain he basically says he’s going to charge me if I keep talking. I truly hope these calls are being recorded, but if not record them yourselves just in case. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO. NOT. DOWNLOAD THE APP.

Practical app. I had never used a healthcare app like this before, but given the current times, sitting in a waiting room an risking viral exposure was not the way to go for me. This app connected me to a healthcare professional that was pleasant to talk to. I didn’t feel rushed and they took the time to listen. I was able to review they’re credentials before selecting, and was impressed with the one I chose. In just a short time, I was seen. My experience was a good one and I would recommend this app to others.

Excellent Service!. I literally logged in and had no wait! My son was seen right away after asking a few questions. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs to be seen right away. The doctor was nice and answered all my questions and we didn’t even have to leave our home! Which is a bonus when you have a 3 year old who doesn’t feel well and wants to stay home. Highly recommend!

Problem resolved. I’ve been working with Amwell for one year to get my insurance straightened out. It seems today, with my appointments, I was finally charged the correct amount. I want to thank whoever fixed this issue, it should not have taken a year, but I am truly grateful, I am still waiting for a refund for my last two visits, but I am trying to be patient while billing works that out.

Prescription never sent. What is the point?. The doctor was a nice guy, seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the steroid he prescribed me for my viral infection was never sent to the pharmacy. Called in to Amwell customer support with a very short wait time, and the representative told me that yes, sometimes the “prescription department” “forgets to hit the send button”. I was then forwarded to the “prescription department” where I sat on hold for over an hour. Called back later when I had time, was told that the “prescription department” was very busy earlier but I would get through this time. Another hour wait. Guess I’m not getting my prescription. Thank God that I’m a healthy person and can beat this illness on my own, because if I had to depend on these clowns, I’d be dead. Literally the only point of telemedicine is convenience. The point of medicine is to receive.. medicine. Therefore, if receiving my medicine requires waiting on hold for over two hours, on top of the wait for a doctor and the actual appointment, then it is no longer convenient. No convenience = no point. I will never use telemedicine again.

Great experience. My first time ever using virtual service for a doctor’s visit, it was new, unusual, and a bit awkward feeling to begin with, but the doctor I spoke to was very friendly and “warm” making me feel comfortable to open up and discuss my symptoms immediately! It was easier than driving to the clinic, checking in, sitting in the waiting room, or standing in any lines. As soon as I selected a doctor and entered my symptoms, I was speaking to the doctor within minutes!

Grateful. Recently I switched from BCBS to my Union insurance which I am very pleased. Besides being cost efficient for my family and I . I very much appreciate the additional service my insurance provides like this app called Amwell. I’ve used it twice and very pleased how fast and efficient the service I get by the doctors I’ve used so far. A quick call or video visit is such a great idea. I will recommend to any family and friends that need convenient concierge type medical treatment. Michelle C

Excellent app. By far the best for the typical issues you would not need further testing for. Common cold or things for antibiotics or other things as long as it’s non narcotic. I had an eye infection once another time I had a cold. It’s a great and superior alternative to sitting in the ER when you know exactly what the doctors would be doing and prescribing. If you truly need further testing they will tell you to be seen in person.

Quick easy & convenient. My toddler woke up on a Sunday morning with obvious pink eye. Since everything is closed at 5am I decided to see what was available online and found Amwell was an option through my insurance. My visit/session lasted less than 5 minutes since one look and a few questions were all that were necessary due to the condition. So easy! Eye drops sent to the 24 hour Pharmacy and we’re on our way to recovering in no time at all!

Surprise charges. At first I tried this app and was super impressed. However, the second time I used it the visit went fine but a month later I incurred a $39 dollar charge out of the blue. I called customer service and they told me that my insurance denied the claim so I got charged the rest of the doctors visit. The doctor was an “in service” provider so it should have been fine. Customer service sent a request for a refund and I haven’t heard back yet. So I’m deleting the app and not gonna be using it again. I don’t make a lot of money so finding out that you’re account is minus 39 extra dollars is a bit of a kick in the teeth. I think I’ll play it safe and just go to my regular doctor.

Empathetic and Knowledgeable. Dr. Saenz was attentive and empathetic during my appointment. She asked questions that highlighted my symptoms and lead to my appropriate diagnosis. She helped me create a short term plan in order to deal with my illnesses going forward. She has a very calm and supportive demeanor. I wish more doctors were as light hearted while still being focused on patient care as she is. I will def use the app again, I was lucky and wish all doctors are as gracious as Dr. Saenz.

Easiest way to see a Dr!. I have seen Amwell fern wrap practice doctors on different occasions for different things and always had a great experience! Even when traveling a few times I had sinus issues and they were able to get me antibiotics and send them to the nearest pharmacy in the road!! The general practitioner doctors are all friendly and I highly recommend them to anyone who has a busy schedule and a hard tome getting into a doctors office!! My husband travels a lot for work as well and has always raves about their services as well!

Terrible experience. The doctor we met with was cold and impersonal. At first the video didn’t work, but after a simple description of my wife’s pain the doctor said go see her OBGYN The online doc won’t be able to help. I asked questions about medicine, exercise, stretching, possible diagnoses and she said “I won’t comment on this”. End of conversation. By the time the video popped up (3 minutes) the doctor already hung up and didn’t answer anything. She wasn’t even friendly and had no compassion. $69 out the window for nothing but aggravation. Literally no help whatsoever. I was planning to try this service for a skin problem that I myself have, but forget that. I would not recommend this unless you have no other options. Very disappointed.

Awesome care and super convenient!. This is seriously the best app in every way. I was super hesitant to use telemed, but I honestly use it instead of going to see a physical provider every time, if it’s possible. They provide amazing care, it’s not even a quarter of the wait time, you avoid driving to and from, and the providers are always a friendly and knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend using Amwell and will continue to use it as long as I have the benefit!

Unbelievable but true. I didn't believe it could be this easy, and ended up being free through my insurance. My hubs used it first, went fast and painless to navigate through, then, after he gave me the plague, I had to try it. Took ten mins to sign up, visit online with the dr and have my rx sent electronically to my drug store. So much better than feeling uncomfortable and sick going to urgent care. Try this app! Looks like they cover a huge amount insurances, but regardless, their prices are still much lower than anywhere else.

Amazing Experience. I had a fever and left work, sick. It was 8:30am. I knew if I went to Urgent Care it would cost me more. This app was recommended by my health insurance. I downloaded it, input my information, and was immediately connected with Dr Shaun Weaver. He was awesome. The call lasted 6 minutes. I didn’t feel rushed and I truly felt he cared. I agreed with everything he said. Script was called in and picked up within the hour and a work excuse was immediately emailed to me. I’m in shock at how easy this was.

So far so good. I used Amwell for the first time this evening for my six year old son. Dr. Pithwa was very knowledgeable & asked thorough questions about his symptoms. She asked me to examine him (with her guidance) and also spoke with him about his symptoms. She prescribed him amoxicillin and we had his medicine within an hour. It was so nice to be able to stay at home and not wait at urgent care all evening! My son will be on the mend by tomorrow thanks to Amwell. With a reasonably priced copay of $69, I saved a good amount of money compared to urgent care.

App is good but billing info misleading. We have used Amwell for our family a few times, and the app and the doctors are good. What keeps on scaring and confusing me every single time is that even I am covered for $5 visits under my health plan, but the app kepps telling me that it will charge me $59. When I log into the app there is a clear message how much I have to pay: „Visits on Amwell are a covered benefit under your *** plan: Physicians and Nutritionists: $5 [...]“ However, at the end of my visit the app said: Your credit card will be charged $59. This is simply unacceptable. The app knows that I am eligible, and still it claims I have to pay the non-insured price. If I had a choice, i would use another teledoc service.

Good idea in theory. The app works fine, although you cannot contact the medical provider if you have questions or there are issues after the session ends. The 800 number has a customer service rep that can help but they seem to be handling high call volume. I had an appt at 1130am local time and a prescription was supposed to be sent to the pharmacy. It is now 715pm local time and the pharmacy has yet to receive it. When I called the 800 number they said it could take another 5 hours for them to get it sent over. Bottom line - save your time and go to an Urgent Care. At least you know how long you have to wait and you leave with a prescription you can have filled an hour or less.

I should have trusted my gut to avoid this app. Made an appointment with a doctor (#2 in line), sat around for two hours, doctor never showed up. No notifications of any kind, no way to communicate with anyone while waiting to find out if the information displayed is correct, just a screen saying i’m next in line and the doctor will see me next. As I mentioned, nobody ever showed up. The screen never changed. Eventually the app just dropped the appointment entirely, it just ditched the appointment and went back to the home screen. No way to resume the appointment, no way to communicate with anyone, and the app doesn’t even have any sort of history of what I’ve done. Thank goodness I took screenshots along the way because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to prove it even happened. For an application that’s supposed to be used to obtain medical care, it is SHOCKING incompetent and poorly designed. The Domino’s app is better. It might sound like a joke but it’s not. At least when I order using the Domino’s app, I wind up with a pizza.

Poor Customer Service. Visited with a doctor on the app due to an infection in my finger. Go to the pharmacy, they have nothing for me, even though her reports she sent it. Tried calling AmWell, was transferred 5 times, back to the original person I talked to, who was very rude (Justin), who transferred me to a prescription line. Waited on hold 20 minutes (approximate wait time 10 minutes according to the announcement), before leaving my number for call back. Now, an hour later, no call back. Guess I don’t need the antibiotics. Because I’m in public service, my schedule won’t allow me to go in anywhere until Friday. Guess I’ll just loose my finger due to infection, and it will be a result of poor customer service.

Awesome!. I am away on vacation and got a UTI. Which is bad enough, but the thought of having to find an in-network urgent care facility and pay $50 to go sit in their waiting room for who knows how long when I’m supposed to be relaxing and having fun sounded like a nightmare. Then I found Amwell! With my insurance it was free and I could have my appointment from my cute B&B. I call that a win. My doctor was super nice and called in my prescription right away so I could get back to enjoying my holiday ASAP. I will be using them again for sure!

Mary Kay, RN. Dr. Wallace really put me at ease about my upcoming surgery, and some issues with bruising I have been having. He reassured me that with my condition (FVL), extra bruising is normal, since I was on a low dose aspirin regimen. He reassured me that the surgeons will be prepared for every possible circumstance in the OR, and that the only thing I'll experience is a little more pain and bruising than the next patient. He was very knowledgeable about FVL and how surgery affects people with this disorder. I was more than pleased with my visit. He really did make me feel better.

First time user. It was helpful to be able to use this service to speak with a provider from home on the eve of a major holiday. However, I would recommend instead of the long wait (when we originally started the process there was one patient ahead of my daughter, but by the time we were registered there were three patients ahead of her which resulted in at least a 45 minute wait) that the service offer the option of a call back to your number when the physician is available.

Rude doctor. Doctor was rude. She needs to retire. She was screaming “Hello!!!???” The doctor has zero people skills. She had the worst attitude. I don’t know if she was having a very bad day, but she was no help at all. I know my daughter gets reoccurring ear infections, and she has gotten this since she was little. This doctor was adamant that it was fluid in her ears due to us flying. She also mentioned if it’s not better by Tuesday take her in to our PCP. Well what about the $80 I paid for her to tell me everything we’re already doing using OTC? This was pointless and a waste of money and time. This short video call put everyone in a bad mood in our family. Bad attitudes are contagious. Do not use this app. Terrible.
