Not worth it if your trying to gain muscle. Overall it’s not a bad concept for an app, but it worth noting that if you’re trying to make some serious gains I would not recommend buying this app. First thing, the “coach” just refers to the app and no actual person is helping you. It’s kind of strange though because after each exercise you get the chance to write down how you’re doing with your work out, putting up this facade that somebody is actually taking into consideration how you’re doing with each exercise. What’s actually happening is that you’re rating whether or not an exercise is difficult and then the app calculates whether or not to give you more reps after the second week. Second to that, the exercises are actually really lame and basic. My first week athletic assessment legit had me doing 5 knee push ups (aka girl push ups) as a whole work out!!!

Not Ready For Your Fitness Goals. This app has been an extremely frustrating experience. I’ve used multiple workout apps and am a very experienced in training. I downloaded the app and signed up for a training journey and told the coach I could work out Mon, Wed, Fri. Today is Wednesday and the app will not give me access to my journey workout for today. It is only giving me the option to do a separate, unrelated workout. You can’t skip or shorten a rest period, only a workout set. So if I want to skip your last 2 sets you have to just stand around and wait for the rest timer. You also can’t customize how much weight you actually used verses what it asked you to do. It wanted me to warm up with a weight that was too heavy for a particular move I hadn’t done in years, but wouldn’t let me adjust it. I’m not going to just blindly do what the “coach” says if I already know it’s not gonna work for me. I also paid for the nutrition coach upgrade because the ad said there were dairy and gluten free diet options but when I set it up there were no options for gluten or dairy free. Only vegan and other meat preferences. Had I known I would not have gotten the app. If you want any “say-so” or control over your fitness program this is not the app to get.

I’ve lost 20 pounds of fat now 🙌🏾🙌🏾. I’ve been using this app for the past 6 months and I’m honestly happy to say that this is the best shape I’ve ever been in. I look in the mirror and I’m just happy with what I see. I’ve still got a ways to go but with this app along with eating clean this is the most progress I’ve made. Now there’s a couple things. This app is for if you’re trying to get toned/lean. Don’t expect to become a body builder using this app. You will however notice yourself getting meaner, more athletic build, more vascular, etc. What I would do sometimes if I was looking to gain muscle would be to use this app in the morning then finish up with light weightlifting at the gym. But if you don’t care about losing muscle don’t worry about that. The other big thing is how important diet is. I’ve been trying to lose weight for a long time, and it wasn’t until 6 months ago that i got consistent with eating clean and saw all the progress that I’m seeing now. But eating clean I mean I just ate stuff that was natural (chicken, rice, eggs, pasta, fruits, veggies). I still indulged every now and then, it was 80% healthy stuff, 20% whatever I wanted). True permanent change doesn’t happen overnight. If you eat clean, use this app, and just be overall patient you’ll see results.

Love this app - but some suggestions to improve. This is a great workout app - I’ve been using for 3 years and love it. The workouts are great and I think it’s worth the subscription for sure. These are just a few thoughts for the app devs for some “bugs” and improvements which would take the app to the next level: 1. Improving the workout tracking - ex. There are times the app has accidentally been X’d out while I’m doing a workout and I lose all the progress, then have to start from the beginning (or skip through to where I left off). It would be great if there was a way to keep the workout progress even if you X out and can continue so you don’t lose progress. 2. Keeping notes for your workouts - it would be great if there was a button for notes where the user can write in their progress/notes for each workout. It’s just helpful for personal tracking and can help bring the experience to the next level. 3. The subscription pop up’s — so I have a subscription, but every time I workout I get a pop up for subscribing (although I have the highest subscription already). It can just interrupt the workout because I’ll be in the middle of a workout and then it pops up and blocks the exercise I’m on. I also feel it takes up more unnecessary battery having to click it off every 5-10 minutes. Anyways — that’s just some feedback, but LOVE the app and would easily give it 5 stars if these things improved!

Deceptive Auto-renewal Practice. First off, this is a decent app. I bought a 1-year subscription at the start of the pandemic in March 2020. I used it a little, but ended up using another app for in-home workouts. Now that gyms have reopened in my area as of fall 2020, I stopped using apps. Having said that, the way this auto-renews automatically is extremely deceptive. They do not send you an e-mail before it is scheduled to auto-renew for another year. Mine just renewed again for another year. After contacting support to reverse the charge and prorate it, I was told they cannot do that. I’ve never dealt with a company that cannot reverse a charge and prorate an auto-renewal. Even the king of sleazy auto-renewals, SiriusXM, will prorate your cancellation if you ask to have something cancelled immediately. Frankly, I’d steer clear of this app and use something with more transparent billing practices like Apple Fitness+ or something. That at least bills monthly.

I want to 5* this so bad. But I can’t. My number one and only complaint is that I cannot run the app if the Freeletics can’t see the internet. Being deployed in a “austere” location I am often subjected to limited to no internet or cellular connection. Without those, the app freezes or won’t load. I have had internet drop in the middle of a timed workout only to have my progress lost or I am forced to restart the workout, which loses my progress. The mental struggle is already real, little things like this get huge quickly. This app would get 5 star for the ease of use, the natural flow of the workouts from week to week, the highly customizable and hassle free setup from one week to the next. Fix it so we can use this app 100% offline. You are losing money, I have at least 5 other soldiers who won’t buy this because of the connectivity issues.

First time I used it so far so good!. The only thing though is when I’m doing a timed exercise, before I do it, give me more time to be in position before you start the timer and show a seconds timer for that as well. And some of your exercise videos that are shown are freezed up that I had to press the camera button to see the videos in motion. Please do something to fix this!!! OH and please have a daily weight and calorie tracker in the way that each workout tracks my calories based on my weight I put daily. Another thing, when I put whether I could do less or more reps after each interval, I would like to readjust them after my workout just in case I thought I miscalculated myself the first time I adjust it. And you have some bugs. Please squish them. Thanks!!! Update - Can you also make it a way where you can eliminate or change an exercise to another one in a workout anytime in the coach program? I really appreciate it.

One thing I need!. Sometimes I want to modify a workout. For example. I workout at the gym and I have a hard time doing pull-ups. So I use a machine that uses similar muscles instead. I want to be able to take note of the times that I have to do that. I don’t need to input my exact modification, just that I had to modify it. Also! I want to be able to override the intervals if needed. At one point I was doing the intervals and for some reason closed the app. Instead of leaving off where from where I was at it started it over. And I had to wait for it to fully finish the rest periods/etc... It would also be really cool if you could choose at the beginning of your journey where you prefer to work out. Like if you prefer the gym or working out at home. This way I could get a training plan revolving around the gym for example. On the nutrition app I wish I could leave a small note of what I ate instead of what the coach said. I don’t need specific details like calories/fat/etc... just a basic journal of my intake to help me remember. In fact, I like how the nutrition app doesn’t focus on getting a super specific log of your eating.

Good fitness app. I’ve used this app for almost a year to complete at-home workouts, with and without minor equipment. You can choose different fitness ‘journeys’ to go on, depending on your goals. I did 12 weeks of a hybrid muscle/cardio journey twice, and 12 weeks of strength building once. In the hybrid workouts, there are a great number of high intensity workouts that incorporate plyometrics into shorter workouts; These workouts I loved. I looked forward to working out, even if the workouts do lean heavily on burpees, which never became fun. For the strength-focused journey, the workout guides you through weight lifting repetitions. In between sets, the app has you wait up to 3 minutes to start your next set. I found this entirely too long and would often find myself scrolling through the workout, trying to finish up in 30-40 minutes what the app would have you take 60 minutes to do with the extended wait time between sets. The other critique I have is on the flow. For each workout, there’s a warmup and cool down. It is best to do all the laying movements, then move into sitting exercises, then standing, etc. Instead, this app will have you sitting to do glute bridges one minute, standing to do arm windmills the next, then back on your back for leg raises. A more thoughtful flow would have been appreciated.

Great app!. Love this app—I’m on my third “training journey” since January, and it keeps me motivated and makes it easy to work out without having to think about it. The training journeys do a good job of mixing up the exercises and keeping it challenging, while also alternating workout intensity pretty well, which I appreciate. I would love to be able to mark favorite exercises and also mark exercises I never want (there are some that aggravate an old wrist injury, and when I get them as part of a training program workout, there’s no option to simply swap out or modify a specific exercise—I have to request a completely new workout). Easy to work around, but it would be a nice feature. Also would love to be able to give feedback on specific exercises when needed—sometimes I can do 3 out of 4 exercises perfectly, but I have to mark the entire workout as “It was too much” in order to give accurate feedback on that one exercise. And one other suggestion: a little more celebration and more comprehensive stats when you complete a training journey! I’ve been sticking to my workouts and improving for 12 weeks—give me more than a single screen with a few random stats! Pretty sure I’ve done approximately 8 million burpees and would love some proof of that. 🙃

Limited. I loved the idea at first. An AI powered coach that adjusts to my goals, performance, setbacks, etc. but that’s all marketing BS. There is no AI or adjustments or changes. If there is, it’s not evident as really not much has changed in the workout routines so question this benefit. Also, I find that swiping from exercise to exercise a little annoying instead of saying “Next” or having the app track my completion via the camera or hand gesture. I also would like to be able to redo any Coach workout I’ve Completed. So if I had a coach training on a Tuesday with a break on Wednesday, I cannot go back to my Tuesday session and redo if I feel like getting another session in. I have to wait for my training on Thursday or just do the single exercises. Why??? AI relies on data so the APP should let me do more exercises/repeat previous sessions. Sometimes the APP freezes and I have quit the app and restart. Happens only once in awhile but annoying. Also. I would like to see a family option where my wife could also benefit so they should consider a family plan. I am going to cancel my membership and try some of the more straightforward apps as this is more work than it needs to be. Would rather focus on exercising vs fiddling around trying to get this app to work for me. Good luck to all of you on your goals.

Pros and Cons. I used to love this app but over the past few months the Coach doesn't seem to work as well in terms of responding to soreness feedback and your overall training (ie if you’ve taken significant time off it no longer adapts). I’ve been a paid subscriber for years and it’s just not what it used to be anymore. I reached out to support earlier this year and they brushed me off. I reached out again recently after the app caused an old knee injury to flare up again with screen recordings of my issues and everything and it’s been over three weeks without a response. Disappointed after loving this app for years and will probably look into other options. Update: They responded to this review within days but I still haven’t heard back on my inquiry. Another update: I followed up on both inquiries that were unanswered and never received a response on either but they continue to respond to this review asking me to email them. I have, repeatedly.

One of the most essential apps I have!. I have been using this app for almost 5 years. I have been telling people who are lazy, afraid or don’t have time to go the gym to give it a try. It is worth it. It might be a bit expensive and that’s a turn off for most of the people but I would recommend doing a 6 months subscription first. Finish a journey or two and you will definitely see results. If you can’t stick to it, you will be wasting money. I added weights now since I got bored of the body weight workouts but every time they add new workouts, it is always exciting! ’If there is a will there is a way’

Great, but only for cutting ✂️. After almost 2 years of Freeletics I have found that Freeletics workouts are very effective for losing fat, but not so much in building muscles. For example, I got stuck at doing Archer Pull-ups and I could never progress past that no matter how much I ate / how many weeks I tried, and yet Freeletics Coach kept giving me those Archer Pull-ups, for months, instead of something else that would build up strength toward it. There are similar examples where the gap between the Hard and the Moderate exercises is huge and yet the Coach doesn’t suggest exercises in between. However, cutting with Freeletics had been very effective with those Burpees and other cardio exercises. For bulking, just like some reviewers out there, lifting weights is a better choice for me.

Over a year and many burpees later.... I’ve been using Freeletics steadily for a year. The scale says I’ve lost 23 pounds, but it’s more about inches than weight—I now need a completely new set of clothes, and have a new perspective on health. Also, several reviews say you won’t “gain” muscle. Let’s be frank, you’ll get muscles you didn’t know you had, but you won’t get bulky, which is not the goal of this type of program. You will gain muscle as long as you are eating correctly and following an appropriate program. My suggestion is similar to what others have stated: save progress in case of app crashes. Also, would it be possible to include the option for resistance bands with wall mounts and handles instead of free weights?

Not user friendly. Updated: It has been a year now. The app is very effective for fat cutting. I use it for my cutting phase. If you want to build muscle, do weight training instead. Previous review: I have been training with this app for almost a year now. The training program is undoubtedly tough but very effective. And the result is real. However, the app itself is not very intuitive, so you have to learn all the moves and techniques before doing a workout. Otherwise, you have to interupt the session and go back to view the videos. Another downside is that the Couch 4.0 is a little easier. It does not push you to the limit as it used to do. It is getting boring after the changes. I love the God workouts better.

They steal your money. Be careful with this app. I cancelled my account last year after determining the app wasn’t for me. The app didn’t actually take the cancellation & I was charged for a renewal that I didn’t want. They refuse to refund because you have to cancel before renewal yet they never actually send you a renewal notice. It’s a huge scam to steal your money. The app itself is fine but buyer beware they don’t care anything about their customers & if you don’t like their product make sure to double/triple cancel so they don’t steal your money like they stole mine!!! Edit: 7/7/20 - I stand by my review. They have dubious business practices where they do not inform you before processing your renewal. Beware if you try this app & I would recommend setting a calendar alert so you can cancel without penalty because they don’t care about their customers.

Waaaay harder in easy mode than it should be.. This app will run you through a warmup that’s already a decent workout for a beginner and then tell you to do 50 burpees and sit-ups and jumps. In really really easy mode. I can run 10 miles no problem, but this being the easy workout with no option to incrementally make moves harder starting from something reasonable is ridiculous. I can only imagine how many people quit and delete the app after the first workout. What a terrible coach mode. Also no advice on how to proceed if you feel it’s waaaaay beyond your ability. -edit, your request for me to contact your support email instead of posting my opinion here is bogus. Do the legwork yourself and send my detailed review to your support email on your own. You don’t need more info from me. Try harder. Feel free to have your support people contact me when they’ve fixed the issues I pointed out.

Great app with a few tweaks to be even bette. Love Freeletics! I have a few quick tweaks/addition recommendations to make it even better: 1) I change where I workout (and therefore what equipment I have access to) pretty frequently and would love to be able to choose/adjust just a single day’s available equipment from the “Adapt Session” button rather than having to do it for the entire week. 2) I’d also love if you could add rings and parallel bars/dip bars in as an equipment option in addition to the low horizontal bar. 3) Add more support for Apple Health analytics including heart rate monitoring and add exercises that work toward target heart rate. Thanks for a great workout app!

Careful with your Freeletics subscription. I found a deal online for a freeletics fitness program and decided to sign up. The exercises and kind of ok (they’re the same exercises all fitness programs offer - even the free ones). I checked the app to see if I had signed up for a subscription, so that I could cancel right away. There wasn’t a “cancel subscription” option, so I figured the fitness program I had signed up for was a 1 time deal - I thought I was all set then. But, just to be safe, I checked my subscriptions on my Iphone (under “manage subscription”) and freeletics was not there. Even small companies will show up under your subscription options - not freeletics. To my surprise I was charged $40 a few months later, even though they make it impossible to cancel and get a refund on recurring payments. You would think that a company trying to hide the “cancel subscription” button would make it easy to get a refund. NOPE! Never even got an email back from them. Let me make your life easier: don’t sign up. The exercises are the same you’ll see on youtube/instagram fitness accounts. I bet most of the revenue from this shady company comes from unwanted/unaware payments that are not refundable.

Good app with a few flaws. I’ve used this app in the past and I’m glad it has improved. First I love the community and social networking behind the app. The UI is ok but you have to constantly be near your phone . I miss the Apple watch app where I could set my phone down and switch exercises from the watch. Also the health intervention is quirky. It loads each exercise individually instead of the entire workout. I would like to see that changed to include just the main workout. I find it easier to just turn off the Genard integration and just start a HIIT or Other workout on my watch. I think the developers are missing an opportunity with the health integration and the lack of a good Apple watch app. BTW the last one was glitchy. With all that said these programs will challenge you and are designed to get results. 👍🏾🏋🏾‍♂️

Best for committed out of shape 59yo. I broke my ankle. Previously, I walked 4 miles a day and thought that was enough. Going through PT and my own research, I realized that to age well, I needed to up my game. I tried this app first because it sounded so great. But, it didn’t seem to offer the 5 minute workouts that the others did. So I tried all of those. Doing 14 moves for 30 sec just didn’t seem to be moving me toward any goal. So I tried some of the more serious apps. They seemed geared for folks that could already do the burpees and perfect pushups. So I reviewed Freeletics again. This is so great!!! Perfect for me. No frills. Good guidance. Building upon what my current capabilities are. Thanks y’all

This app snoops your clipboard on launch. I have been using Freeletics mainly because it seems to offer more for free than many of the other fitness apps on the App Store. However, I have just discovered a little “feature” implemented by the devs that made me uninstall immediately. If you own a Mac, you know you can copy and paste over the cloud. When you paste text from your Mac on your phone, it brings up a dialog box that says a paste is in progress. Well, I had copied an admin secret on my Mac, and I opened Freeletics to a big dialog box on launch, saying the app had pasted the contents of my clipboard. In shock, I closed out the app, copied some text on my Mac, and relaunched Freeletics to see that — sure enough — the app automatically pasted clipboard contents on launch. Knowing the app would snoop on users data so secretively and malicious made it so I couldn’t trust this app at all on my devices, or the devices of my family.

Great. Have an app feature request.. Been a paying subscriber for four years. Love your content. I don’t use the coach features anymore because I got through the Freeletics Hardcore program and the challenge wasn’t overly difficult for me. Could there be a way to default to open the app on the workout screen? It’s only a small thing but it’s been bugging me for a while that I got to tap an extra time every time I open the app. If there was a way to make your own programs that would be amazing. Currently I plan them out on Sunday for the week commencing using my reminders app. Also, heart rate to show on the watch would be awesome. I’m sad that you took the experimental features off the watch.

It’s been good for me. I’ve been physically active most of my life. Skateboarding in the early years and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as of late. To supplement my Bjj training I started using freeletics with the “coach” years ago. It was good but the workouts were a bit too much so I stopped using it. I downloaded it again at the beginning of this year when the pandemic left me out of shape. I have to say, the “coach” has been greatly improved and seems to more accurately tailor the workouts based on my feedback. With 5 workouts a week (give or take with other obligations), intermittent fasting and almost zero drinking, and at 6ft tall, I’m down from 220lbs to 198lbs in 7 months. I travel for work frequently and it was really great to use the app when most gym locations were closed. Your miles may vary and this may not be for everyone but it’s been really good for me.

Excellent personal training app. For those without the means to hire a personal trainer, this is the app for you. Before training with this app, I often felt lost amidst a sea of possible exercises and programs, feeling unsure of where to put my focus and how to go about it. After using Freeletics for over 3 years, I feel both focused and motivated, and I even feel I’ve gained a better understanding of what works best for me in fitness training. I especially appreciate the ability to tailor workouts through feedback given after each session, and before each session if I’m short on time or energy. It’s definitely worth the price.

Watch for the charge. I bought my subscription through the App Store (I have proof of that) and cancel 2 years later 5 days before renewal time again through the App store. They still managed to charge me (6 days after renewal time?) and now won’t reimburse me!! They are being sneaky, maybe just don’t subscribe to make sure you don’t loose money in the end. EDIT: I had called Apple Store and they said they couldn’t do anything since they were not the one who charged me. Freeletic directly charged on my credit card, not through the Apple store. I did contact directly Freeletic afterwards who told me they couldn’t reimburse me for ??? No reasons. I was within their 7 days for cancellation but they refused to cancel and reimburse me. I then tried to file a complaint at the European Consumer protection but they couldn’t do anything since I do not live in Europe (it seems that Freeletic is based in Germany). Anyway, I called my credit card company (Capitol One) to say I had an unauthorized charge and they reimbursed me. A lot of hassle, not worth their exercises.

I think it’s worth the price. It’s an app that can provide up to high-intensity customized workout. It’s nice that you don’t really have to do the thinking since the algorithm does it for you. I don’t know about the algorithm being perfect, but it grows to be accurate in general if you keep providing feedback to it. Keep in mind that this is just an app, not an actual trainer that watches you. It doesn’t know if the workout it has given you is the right one for you until you tell it. Actively giving feedback to the AI seems to be the key. It’s a good workout app, but maybe don’t set your expectations too high from the beginning. Oh, and I heard the weightlifting plans are worse than the bodyweight ones, but I can’t say for certain since I’ve only tried weightlifting plan like once and stopped.

Pros and cons. I use Freeletics as well as Freeletics Gym. I have had paid subscription for personalized coaching for more than a year. Here are pros and cons. What I like: - Precise movement instruction - 12-week personalized program called “journeys” - Each week’s training program adjusted for your feedback (for example, if you rate certain workout too easy, they will bump it up. If you rate something was too much, they will find you an easier version of it.) - Programs reflect what you have at home. Whether you have blank walls, bars, etc. Plenty of options even if you have no equipment at all. - Each day’s workout begins with a warmup and ends with a cool down routine. Minimize injuries. - Points system - Overall, a cool looking app! What I dislike: - Way too much jumping!! It makes me do jumping jacks every day. Terrible for women over 40, I’d say. Too much burpee, also. - Rep counts are confusing. Each side counts as one repetition? Or one each side counts as one repetition? It says the former but the latter would make more sense, especially when the reps are in odd numbers. - I am setting tighten and tone as my goal but it has more cardio effects than toning and strengthening. - No option to add dumbbells to body weight workouts.

Healthy Mind Healthy Body. I’ve always had a goal to better myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. But I felt like I was hit by a Mack truck going into 2020. Everything I built up crumbled down and I fell into a state of depression. When I thought it couldn’t get any worse, the pandemic happened. I did everything I could to get back on my feet, not to fix who I was, but to start new with my goals as the foundation. 11-months into this year, and this is the healthiest I’ve ever been. The biggest lesson for me is that a healthy mind starts with a healthy body. Freeletics is the best fitness app I’ve ever tried and have recommended this to everyone that compliments me in my progress.

Good overall but has a few vital flaws. Overall, I love the app. The workouts are really fun and they make you look forward to them at the end of the day. They have a bunch of good programs and having a coach tailored to your needs is really helpful. Unfortunately, there are a few flaws that I think need fixing. 1) Not being able to save your workout if you quit halfway through. The other day I wasn’t feeling great in the middle of a conditioning circuit so I decided to stop, but to my dismay non of my progress was saved. Now if I want coach feedback for future weeks, I have to go back and start all over. Having an option to save your progress would be a great feature to implement for people who know their bodies well enough to know when to quit. 2) Not being able to customize the workouts. This is the biggest issue for me. You can give very vague customizations at the beginning of every workout by tapping on the coach icon, but their only very basic things like “I can’t run today” or “I only have 15 minutes”. There is no option to swap out a workout with something similar or reduce/increase repetitions. Having this option would make the “tailored for your needs” part of the app so much more effective.

SAVE YOUR MONEY Lacking in a lot of ways. The pros: has a large library of exercise movements. The cons: too numerous to list them all. The worst is the algorithm that doesn't adjust when weight is too heavy. It keeps the weight the same. Anyvlifter familiar with 5x5(which some of the workouts follow) understand what to do if you fail multiple times. This app doesn't do it. inability to edit workouts properly. I tried to tell the app I didn't have the equipment and it kept insisting I do the exercise. I edited the exercise and it reverts back to the original. Inability to do a completely different workout when you inform the app you can't move a body part. I dislocated my shoulder and could only work legs. The app won't account for that. The app does increments that my gym can't accommodate. The workouts insist you do their cardio but I do my own cardio outside of the app by way of sports and running. The app doesn't allow you to input this or skip over those workout. It keeps pushing the workout to the next day. You can't turn the screen off or it will pause or even skip your rest period. When you open your phone it counts down from 5 even if you had 1 1/2 a minute left. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still is full of bugs. I can keep going but it's too much to type on a phone. The watch app is even worse than this if you can believe it.

Not sure who this app is targeted at. I got this app to do home workouts as my gym is back to mask mandatory. I purchased a 3 month subscription. I am used to taking group classes with an instructor or with a trainer. This app does not come close to that setting. There is no voice coach to provide tips or instructions. The written instructions are vague and the videos are minimalist at best. No investment by the developers to provide a “training environment”. The primary goal is to beat your personal best time. After each exercise you are prompted to “tell your followers how you did”. I find that really annoying. The voice that counts your start up sounds computer generated. The developers couldn’t find a real person to count to 5? And there are plenty of prompts to purchase equipment. Someone is making a lot of money with minimal investment in this app. I am going to look for another.

This is the best I’ve used - get this app and sub. I’m not paid for this at all yall I just love a good invention and this is it. I’ve tinkered with big brands like Nike and noom…some random running/exercise app I can’t remember the name of for a long while…and they just didn’t do it for me. This one? I read about it. Downloaded. Looked around and didn’t think twice about subbing. NOW I have a workout routine. I absolutely appreciate what you’ve done here and I thank you so much for helping me get my health back to the top of my priorities, this app makes it much easier to do and omg do I love working out with a virtual trainer. This is an off day for me and I’m literally looking around for anything at all to be able to use as an excuse to use the app. Not even kidding and no I didn’t get paid for this!

Good but one flaw. I lost weight on this app, I’ve gotten stronger and I love it! But my biggest flaw is sometimes I forget my cool down which finished the workout. I get busy so the next day I see my workout is transferred to the next day and it’s only my cooldown. So it didn’t mark down the day I did the whole workout and if you dont finish it that day it ruins the cycle and head onto the next day which means you miss a workout. I hate this and I think if you already started a workout but by 12am you didn’t finish it should log in what you did that day because I like a cycle and logging in but now if I forget it says I didn’t do anythin and sets me back a day now.

Great for a busy lifestyle. This app has been one of the greatest tools for exercise that I’ve ever used! Have been working out consistently with it for 13 weeks now! I love the results and I love that it is simple to use and doesn’t require equipment other than the occasional chair or pull-up bar. Also, most of the workouts are between 25 and 45 minutes which is so helpful for my busy lifestyle! Even with how short the workouts are, they are really hard if you’re doing them honestly and following the counsel given by the coaching program. I highly recommend the coach. It’s pricey but nowhere near what a gym membership would be. I just wish there was an Apple Watch app! (Hint hint) All in all I love this app and I’m looking forward to using it for a long time!

So far so good, minor tweaks. Thank you for such a great app, I’ve just started to use it and so far I’m enjoying it. A few things I’d love to see 1. Fully independent watch app 2. Integration with Apple Activities - this needs some work. For one, I would like a whole day’s training to just count as 1 workout, or at least have an option in the app to choose that for those that want it. I would also like to see general improvements with this. My workouts often say they are only 1-2 seconds, despite taking well over that time. 3. Autocomplete on runs should stop the activity at the set distance, I’m not sure why it’s required that I click “complete” - especially if someone isn’t holding the phone in their hand, this leads to highly inaccurate times.

I’ve used many fitness apps. And this is the best one, by far. I’ve tried Adidas Training & running, Nike Run Club, Fitbod & Shred. From all these, i find Freeletics the most complete. The one feature i was really missing was the ability to use with my watch and leave the phone behind, and just when i thought it wasn’t possible, boom, I found the setting for that (still in Experimental mode). Anyway, After trying the most popular fitness apps, I think I’ve found what i was looking for (u2 ref). I love the interface, the user interaction (you can decide what you want to hear, so no more annoying countdowns from 20)and the sample videos are really well produced... there’s quality and much thought all around, for what I can see, in this app. Love it.

Create our own workout?. Have used the app on and off over the past 2-3 years, both as a member and free user. Love the coach and feedback you get. The reason for 4 out of 5 is I would love the option to create your own workout from the single exercises. You have the option of the premade God workouts for planned workouts. But if I wanted to do 3 rounds of push ups, squats and jackknifes for example and reps I would like to try, I couldn’t. I would have to go do single exercise for each of those 3 times each, so 9 total exercises, which is kinda annoying. From someone with a strength and conditioning background I think this would give users greater use, creativity of their workouts, and freedom of an amazing app already.

Never bored but I have a suggestion. I’ve been using the app for 7 years 10 months and 14 days now, I love it and with the updates I’m getting more results, I’m never bored and here in USA is my personal coach! But I think in the Time you have for a workout, you’re not considering the time between one interval or exercise and the next one. So if you are tired after one interval and another you have to take more minutes to recover, so if you said that a workout is gonna take probably 45 minutes, you are not contemplating the time you need to stop to do the next one! I hope to be clear about my concern, thank you and see you in my year 10 🫡😎❤️❤️❤️

Incredible. I workout often 5-6 days a week and have tried various different training plans and apps. Freeletics is above and beyond. If you’re l ok’ing to get stronger, faster, or just change your training routine, you have to get it. The prices are incredible and Hwy you can even do the workouts with actually paying. The paid app offers the timer, active gps tracking for runs, with auto complete once you have reached the desired distance. I have been using for over three months and have had an incredible experience. So good that I signed up for a year after having a 3 month subscription. You will sweat more, do more, and be more sore than you have in a long time! In a good way!!! Take it from someone who trains often and intense. You need to try this!

Pretty cool. Could be awesome. I really like this app. I use to do CrossFit and the fact that there are some set workouts were you can save your scores is really motivating. I love there is pretty much everything you would do without bars or equipment. It does have the muscle up/pull up option which is cool. What would make it perfect? 1. To add more optional inexpensive equipment (box, medicine balls, dumbbells) 2. The social aspect is great. I love to see my friends’ scores and try to beat them. But the problem is that when you click to see a workout they posted, there’s no way to see the workout itself. You have to go to workouts and look for it. That seems to darn cluncky to me. It would be also nice to see everyone’s score once you click on a post to see the comparison not only with me but the rest of my friends. 3. I wish I could skip the cool down because I actually add a yoga lesson after Freeletics. So that is my cool down.

Poor UI, limited information. This app could be a five star, except… I have to look at my phone way too much. I need audio queues. The start workout UI is confusing. The adapt workout button is placed where a ‘start workout’ or ‘continue workout’ button should be. Also, too much navigation is required to progress from one workout to the next. There are no audible countdown timers before individual timed exercises. If i’m getting into position for a plank, i may not be able to look at my phone. Definitions of reps+weight is unclear: What does it mean to do 20 mountain climbers? 10L+10R, or 20L+20R? What does it mean to rep a 10 lb barbell? is that a 45lb olympic bar with 5lb on each side? 10lb on each side? a different thing that only weighs 10lb? Finally, why am i left to decide how heavy my dumbbells should be? Every time i do a workout i am frustrated by questions of whether i am doing either not enough or too much.

Committed? This app is a great partner.. Updated review: I’ve been using Freeletics for eight years. It helped me get started in fitness eight years ago after never working out consistently. Through different seasons of my life, I used other methods to workout, but I can always count on Freeletics if there was no gym. They always improve the platform and I enjoy using it as it continually helps me improve my own fitness. I now use it exclusively to workout. Old review: Freeletics is a great tool for anyone going towards health. It has helped me a lot in my journey towards health. If you are committed, it’s the best app out there. They do their work with excellence; from the videos to the workouts to always improving, Freeletics is a solid company. One of the coolest things is meeting people who are in it and do Freeletics too! Get this app!

Best app for your fitness!. I love this app! It’s user interface is amazing and the coach monitoring is always evolving my workouts to keep me pushing. And the how to videos show you everything you need to know to keep proper form. The workouts don’t take forever to do, it doesn’t feel like a burden to do. I do mine every day immediately after work. I have never been so excited to work out, especially after a long day of work. I tried to do other workouts and always ended up unmotivated. Insanity gave me great results, but the workouts were too long and just made me feel miserable. Freeletics has everything you need to get in shape or to get into better shape. Worth every penny.

Really Good. Love these workouts! Been doing them for 8-9months. I am excited about my coach and the anticipation of new workouts every week tailored to my fitness level. Sometimes they seem a little advanced until I complete them and realize how fit I am becoming. The more advanced movements are the goal. I am so excited for the day I can master "muscle ups and handstand pushups." Its all possible through doing these workouts and getting the endurance and strength necessary. The six pack thing is great to for those genetically predisposed for that. But I like how they make me feel most of all amd try not to get caught up in the vanity part. The app does seem to always be getting better and improving its already great product which is awesome. If I could make one suggestion it would be to link the running and strength App with the social network that is built into the body weight app. Thats all.

Keep it coming. Honestly this is one of the best Apps ever. In my line of work I already workout every week Day in the morning but I decided to give this app a try for my evening workouts when I am bored with nothing else to do. I was super impressed after the first workout. Every workout or exercise will have you sweating if you actually put in the effort. For someone such as me who feels in shape this app makes me want to do better because it changes my perspective of what being in shape is. I was kind of disappointed when I found out that I needed to sign up for a coach to use the workout daily plan function but to my surprise it was unlocked today when I opened the app. I am actually happy that even without signing up for a coach there are still plenty of workout sessions to choose from or you can go with the single workouts. Thank you guys for offering this awesome app thumbs up.

For dedicated athletes and self-starters only. This app highlights the dangers of using artificial intelligence instead of a certified personal trainer to program workouts. If you’re a beginner, you’ll discover that the assessments are not geared to your level, which will force you to tell the AI over and over that it’s too much for you before it will get the hint. Plus, mobility issues are not taken into account, so if your range of motion doesn’t allow for what your so-called coach wants you to do, you’re stuck. Worst of all, you don’t have access to a certified professional who can answer your questions and help you figure out how to bust plateaus. If motivation isn’t an issue for you this MIGHT be an option, but everybody else would do better to pay for an actual CPT who will listen to your specific needs first and work with you from there.

A true workout program that promises obtainable results and how to get there!. I’ve spent years trying to find a program that I could stick with and get results. As a naturally small dude, I’ve never done well with gyms, and I don’t have a lot of spending money so I’ve usually drifted towards body weight stuff, but it’s hard to find a structured program for that! Enter Freeletics. Freeletics truly practices what it preaches: freedom in and through athleticism. With countless workouts, guides, tips, videos, and encouragements, they truly do everything in their power to keep you on track. If you do prefer equipment based workouts, they have that too! It’s so easy to customize to the Coach and follow a plan for your goals and body type. It will push you; it will grow you. It will be one of the best decisions you’ve made for yourself! I’ve never written a review before, but after a year and a half on this program, the results are incredible. For the first time in my life, I LOVE how I look. Thank you Freeletics. You’ve made a lifelong fan and follower!

Good not great. Mixed feelings about this app. On the plus side it seems the exercises are well thought out and will yield results in time. Intense but gratifying. However; If in the description you say no equipment necessary, then why do you suddenly introduce a pull up bar? This is basic no? You say no equipment it should mean no equipment. It’s annoying there is no Apple Watch companion app. These are always very useful. Good technique is emphasized which is great, but every time you play an exercise demonstration video an annoying background music plays. This drives me crazy - specially if you are listening to your own music. The default setting should be muted!!! Some exercises are demoed without having to play a video while others are not. All should be demoed in the background. Sometimes the app requests feedback after a single exercise which is great but sometimes a whole sequence of different exercises go bye before feedback is required. How are you supposed to say exercise A was great but exercise B I couldn’t do? So too many issues in my opinion. I got the 3 month subscription and I very much doubt I will renew.

Easy to use, versatile. Super great app- just one suggestion. If you could have a voice telling you what the next exercise is that would be primo! I used to use Nike Training App but got bored and this is the next best thing but just that one little suggestion would make a world of difference :)

Well worth the subscription. This is a great app and I’ve tried (and failed) them all. Don’t judge this app on the free version or reviewers who thought that Freeletics was going to deliver all for free. It’s a great app for people of all abilities looking to develop functional fitness with minimal equipment (or none if you wish!). It’s best feature is how it adjusts workouts based on your feedback.

Notifications. 1) i’m not sure if it’s just my settings but how come freeletics doesn’t have any sort of notifications? I trained on my own and sometimes it helps to have a reminder of what i need to accomplish for the day. 2) I wish you have brought the Barbell exercise back. 3) Other than that, i love Freeletics. Thank you for keeping me fit.

Scam. Subscribed a year ago, used the app for like a month, and quit because workouts are repetitive and boring. After a year I was charged another 60euros without receiving any automatic renewal reminder/notification from Freeletics. Asked them for a refund a few minutes after receiving an email from PayPal. They refused to refund. Literally a scam play. PS: I'm pretty sure they won't reply to this review or reply with this generic message: "It's unfortunate that you are having issues. We would appreciate if you would contact us directly via [email here] so that we can investigate further. [cirnge hashtag here]"

Could be awesome, but missing key details. Love in the in ear coaching through the runs but in the last update the prompts to pay for premium push to the edge of the screen. This means I cannot close the pop up and the only option is to select to pay for coaching and then close out of the next window. This means I lose my workout and all the info, essentially making the app useless for me. I just lost my PB result for a 5km run. Won’t use this app without critical updates.

Scam. I had the same issue as a few other users. I definitely cancelled my subscription on something in the app and didn’t realise I actual had to go on the website. Didn’t use it once in the three months as I thought I cancelled . Then I see an automatic renewal charge in my bank account!! Never received a notification it will renew or anything! Now they tell me they can’t refund which is BS-and against our country consumer laws. Will be contesting . Don’t use this app!!

Read The Fine Print. Subscription doesn’t show up in your Apple Account so if you thought you could manage your subscriptions from there you’re out of luck. No communication to let you know a renewal is happening. Used the app for a month and year later have been hit with a $120 subscription renewal that they won’t refund despite my contacting them immediately. The app itself was not great. Despite selecting weights workouts it would only ever show running so I never really got any benefit from it.

New release bug. Hi guys. I have my Apple Watch matched to your app now due to your new release but when I try to open the normal calories counter from the watch and use the Freeletics app at the same time the counter is automatically closed I don’t know why. The idea of this is that both apps can work at the same time. I couldn’t count my calories today so guess I need to uninstall your app from my Apple Watch?

Not for beginners at all!. I was really disappointed in this app after downloading it so I could work out with friends. I’m pretty unfit but I was determined to try, and the app says it caters for all skill levels, so imagine my surprise when I clicked on the “beginner” workout and was confronted with 75 reps each of sit-ups, push-ups and weird climber things. 75!! Even one climber is not something a beginner could be expected to manage! This app assumes a baseline skill level of somewhere around an intermediate athlete. Don’t even bother if you’re a beginner, it’s just demoralising and a waste of time. It’s not even possible to adjust the workouts to suit your skill level. There are far better apps out there.

Not super impressed at the moment. Why can’t I access the free content anymore? I can’t afford to renew my subscription at the moment but I can’t access any of the free content. I only have access to the coach. It’s also frustrating that app support is either non-existent or so had to find that I have to use this format to ask a question.

Love it!!!. I love it so far. Very flexible, so many workout options, I didn’t like a few workouts so changed my coach and love it now. Exercise options if too hard, you choose the days that you can workout, you choose if you have equipment or if you wanna do just a body weight workout. I bought the nutrition package as well but don’t really use it much, except some for meal ideas here and there. Yes, you have to pay but come on, it’s cheaper than a gym membership so stop complaining

Got my interest. I have tried a few fitness apps - which probably makes me fussy more than the fault of any app. However, I think this one has some great features. I love the dynamic nature of it, with the options that can be swapped in and out. Struggled to find the free option but decided to subscribe for three months, which is still cheaper than a gym. Would also be great to have a way to move to the next exercise with a vocal instruction rather than needing to tap the screen. If I was able to simply say ‘next’, it would make transitions smoother. It’s hard to stay in time with instructor without voice timing as well. I don’t always have the screen right in front of me. Otherwise, a great app that will get better and I’m hoping I will get better as well. Cheers.

A consistent part of my life. I have been using the Freeletics app for over 5 years. During that time, I have changed houses, countries, jobs, started a family etc. Throughout, I have never stopped using the app consistently. Its easy design and motivating workouts means it never gets old. Routines are always within reach, but never boring or repetitive. I particularly like that it includes proper warmups and stretching cool downs. I recommend it to everyone I exercise with. Thank you.

Not what you expect.. Firstly, I downloaded this app after reading the App Store story about Freeletics. Don’t let the name make you download this app because it’s not completely free. However, I did try using the full version, paying for three months. Another let down is how they tell you that you can do it anywhere. If “anywhere” means full access to internet. Sometimes images won’t load and you can’t see what exercises you need to do (even though they show it in the summary page, it won’t show at the main exercise page). If you don’t have data, the app will experience problems and won’t sync your run hence you’ll have to log it manually. Or if your internet is slow, you won’t be able to see how to do the exercises. Lastly, If you’re a pro, you’ll still have to have your phone beside you at all times as you have to swipe right to move to the next exercise. My final verdict is that it isn’t as glamorous as it looks. Kind of a let down. I think paying for the premium Fitbit Coach is better.

Can’t do a workout. Been using the app and paying for subscription, but today it won’t let me do a workout. It reports that I have to update, but when I go to the AppStore, it says I already have the latest version. What weird bug is this, it’ll be great if the team at Freeletics fix this ASAP. Enjoying the app though, workouts are good. Would be good if I can actually continue with it 🙃

Gear app!!. Best exercise app I’ve ever used. It’s kept me working at a routine for the longest. Even beat my personal trainer! One improvement I would really love to see is If they could add a “ favourite” functionality to the app? It can be a pain to keep searching for “individual” routines from the whole list, each time. 😊 Thanks!

Clunky. I bought a 3 month plan and I regret it. I just find it very, very clunky to use - you constantly have to be at your phone or your laptop to click through exercises - or am I missing something? I actually ended up signing up for Centr Fit (Chris Hemsworths thing) and it’s WAY better - same principles but it moves you through the whole thing so I don’t have to constantly keep touching my phone which just really interrupts any flow and means you can’t focus properly.

Easy to use. I was sceptical about paying for a HIIT app. But wanted something that was Covid lockdown proof, fit into my work travels and didn’t require me to spend hours a day training. The app is so easy to use. I combine it with the Freeletics Nutrition app and am feeling amazing. I am training 4 days a week and my body is responding well. The workouts are the right level of challenge without killing me (though I’m sure I could set it to kill mode).

Do not subscribe. I used the introduction offer for 3 months. Decided that the app was not for me and would not be renewing, checked my iPhone subscriptions and saw that there was no further subscriptions. 3 months later, I was charged for another 3 months. On the same day the subscription was renewed I contacted Freeletics. Was informed that they were sorry, but would not be refunding the money for the next 3 months. Be very careful before using this app. Once you subscribe it is very difficult to unsubscribe and you will have to pay the full price.

Very strong app. After testing several apps, I have settled on this quality app. I really like that you can just use body weight to exercise, it integrates running into specific programs and the design of the app makes it intuitive to exercise. Plenty of programs to choose from. Highly recommend.

Really helped me. I’m too broke for a personal trainer, and the programs here have actually helped me figure out how to achieve what I want. The workouts are hard, but easy to understand, and the scheduling helps me keep to what I should be doing, without annoying me about it. Would recommend to anyone.

Coach in my Pocket. I’ve been a coach subscriber to Freeletics for around 4years. I love the variety of workouts and love that my feedback is always taken on board to creat the perfect weeks program for me. It’s also great to have constant challenges. Also, the Freeletics group keep up to date on new science based health and fitness findings and adjust their program accordingly and offer insights and advice through email.

GPS feature needs to be improved for iPhones. The app’s use of the GPS on iPhones is very poor. All other apps that use the GPS on my iPhone have no issues whatsoever but Freeletics keeps miscalculating distances. It sometimes even says the GPS reception is poor when I’m outside on a sunny day in the middle of a park. It is very frustrating to be told your average pace is 3 minutes per kilometre when you know that’s not true... it really affects the experience...

Surprised. Much better than I expected. Super easy to follow. No setting timers or working out what exercise I’m supposed to be doing. Weights suggested are also pretty spot on. First week down. 11 more to go on this course.

Used to be good...then wasn’t...now good again. After a shocking few months or 12 after the 4.0 update, it seems Freeletics has stepped up its game again. Workouts are challenging once more! It doesn’t excuse the terrible responses I received when voicing my concerns to their “Customer Service” team but at least improvements were made.

Loving the motivation. Freeletics Bodyweight is awesome 💪 It directs you on what move is next, how to perform that move and encourages you to push hard by timing you against your last PB, cheering you on and letting you know how long it took other community members to finish that workout in. It adapts to your fitness level as you give it feedback. The only thing I am not quiet happy with is; I am at level 10 now so maybe it is early in our new relationship but I am finding some workouts blow me out to drenched in sweat 💦 and other workouts I finish and have hardly cracked a sweat 💦

Subscription issues. I’m currently disputing payments from Freeletics due to charging me for the past 12 months without me using the app. I used for 3 months, it was great and cancelled due to hitting goals. I unsubscribed on my iPhone, as I did with Sweat - the Kayla Itsines App. It seemed to work fine with Sweat, however, here I am a very long time after being charged for a service I have not been using. Unlike other Apps, this did not have a reminder that the subscription with renew automatically. The response was, I needed to log in on Freeletics and unsubscribe, therefore because I had accepted the TC’s, a refund will not be paid. Once I told them I’ve gone to Fair Trade, I’m now being refunded for the most recent payment. Not good enough. Why would I need to go onto Freeletics when I should just be able to complete on my subscriptions. You have now lost me as a customer. Just a disgusting way to take people’s money.

I am actually not a sports person but I love it!. Sometimes it’s hard, but it’s alright. I definitely like that you can choose for your next week what you want to train: cardio, cardio& strength or just strength. You can chose your equipment what you can use and if one of your muscle is really bad you can choose this muscle in the menu and they try to give you exercises without this muscle. Thank you to the team! I am really excited how the next weeks will go :)

UX can be improved. I love freeletics and have used it for years, but the UX of the Coach screen is annoying me every time I use the app. - The screen constantly shows a loading spinner as you go in and out of exercises, which slows down the whole experience. - The "Adapt session" pill floating on the bottom of the screen should be replaced with a "next exercise" pill. This would avoid having to constantly scroll down the page again just to tap into the next exercise. The "Adapt session" action should instead be part of the settings section. - It should be possible to pre-load all required videos of a workout. When you do tap to download a video, the download takes ages and even stops when you scroll the exercise out of view. Super annoying. - For timed exercises, the countdown bar has very bad contrast and is hard to see due to its low height. Incorporating colours and a different thickness would make this more accessible.

Love it. I've been using freeletics more than a year. I really enjoy doing exercises with the app. The features are getting better and better. I love option to avoid using equipment during exercise so I can easily do it at home.

Remove Ads. App is perfect as a personal trainer, except for the constant advertisements even when you have a subscription. Please remove advertisements for subscribed members, this app deserves 5 stars but in its current state I can only give it 4.

Auto renew without warning. I haven’t used this application in 10 months. It automatically renewed itself without any warning. When going through the contract it states that at the beginning of the 14 days of a contract you can cancel. I went through their support process and they state that this 14 days doesn’t count for renewals. So the 14 day period is null and void as they start you with a free account. Even though the purchase of this subscription would be a new contract they deem this as continued and not new. Incredibly dissatisfied with the application as a whole relative to the price point.

Long time app user. Freeletics I have been using your app for 6 years and really enjoy it. However, your last update is a step backwards. Ran a few PB’s but not showing up in PB log or feed? Interval running- why can’t I see split of all times (missing last km), can’t see complete map of where I have run?

Great app and always improving. I started on my Freeletics journey 6 years back when I had my 3rd child. Now my 4th is already 4 yo and I can’t part away from this app! It is part of my morning routine 5 days a week. I’ve seen Freeletics improving throughout the years making it an achievable workout app for the mass. Trust me, reps were very very difficult when I first started~nearly impossible. But through time they made it more manageable. Thanks Freeletics team!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5 hearts for this app!

Quality if you persist. I have been at it for about a year. The paid subs, with the coach, is well worth the money and far better an investment than a gym. There is little short-term benefit outside of unachievable sets of exercises and muscle soreness in the following days. I was surprised that, after about 4 weeks of 3-4 sessions a week that the sessions seemed difficult, but achievable. After 10 I saw genuine benefit in terms of fitness, strength and weight that I hadn’t got doing other things. I am in my late 40s and have been using this in conjunction with cycling. I can fit the workouts around my work life and have found them a great support. If it was the only exercise I was doing I would have not kept it up - the workouts can feel repetitive but I had seen results so was encouraged to keep them up. Coach is very good, and adapts well from week to week (but not within a week). When I was injured I could isolate muscles in the app and not get any exercises that would affect them. The flexibility to mix up the number of sessions and your focus is great. Highly recommended if you are after something to fit into a time-poor life that will have an impact.

User friendly and adaptable. Very innovative app. I’ve been using it for 6 months now and it has been improving my physique. It was challenging at first but it became manageable. One suggestion to the developers: please give us the option to list down what we really cannot do. For example, I have a back issue and I cannot do jackknives unless I want a back pain. If I have to replace it every time I will feel bad for not achieving that standard.

Badly designed. Doesn’t have the most obvious thing - voiceover instructions so you don’t have to keep looking at your phone while trying to exercise. Even the free apps have thought of this. You can’t go backwards during a routine to check something you missed (because there was no voiceover!) It doesn’t change ANYTHING regardless of the info you give it about your preferences or limitations. I was really looking forward to using this but I guess I was sucked in by the slick marketing because the app itself is a ... FAIL :(

Superb. Many similar programs available but Freeletics the best IMO because of the customisability. Whatever you’re after in terms of goals, it has something for you. The addition of the dumbbell journey I’ve really enjoyed. Currently doing a sprinting journey. Really challenging but still doable. Warm up’s and cool downs always spot on. Have met good people through the app too which helps with motivation. Highly recommend.

The best workout app that keeps getting better. I can’t speak highly enough about Freeletics. There are heaps of different workout journeys so you can change it up often. They’re all structured and have skill progressions to help you learn advanced movements. The coach does a pretty good job of setting the intensity and ramping it up as you improve. There are a few features I wish it had but they have a forum where you can post feature requests and the dev team does a good job of rolling them out. It’s not perfect, but it’s more than good enough to stick around while they continue to make the app better.

Getting me through lockdowns. Love the app! You rarely do the same workout twice and there’re always new exercises being added to workouts to keep it interesting. The social aspect adds a competitive element and makes it easier stick to your training regime (feels so good to beat your mate’s personal best lol). I’ve always done sports, but consistency was an ongoing issue for me. Now, I’m exercising 4-6 times a week and I’ve never been fitter. And this is in the middle of pandemic! The only feature that’d be nice to see is a workout builder, where you’d create your own workouts by selecting exercises, reps, sets and breaks. Overall, 5 stars for sure! Thanks

Not a good gym replacement. Way too much of an emphasis on stretching and the workouts are so short and meaningless that you don’t feel like you’ve achieved anything. Bought this as my gym closed down and it was a terrible replacement. I did a workout called “muscle gain” and only felt like I lost muscle. Would not recommend. Spend your money buying a boxing bag or a pull up bar and do your own stuff, it will probably be more beneficial.

Subscription renewal. Hi there I had subscribed to freeletics for the 3 months and then it renewed to another 3months so too make sure it didn’t automatically renew again the next 3 months I canceled my subscription which stated that I would still have access till 19th oct 2019 however when I went to enter the app it told me to renew my subscription!! So I did. Expect now I am out of pocket by 2x $54 and I don’t know how to get my app to work so I can being my workouts that I have paid for. I only wanted another 3 months but now I have paid for a further 6 months. Can I please have some help. I really enjoy doing my freeletics workouts but my app will no longer accept my subscription even tho I have 2 payments!! Please help.

Good exercises, poor usability. While in general I’m enjoying the exercises and programs, the app itself feels clunky in comparison to its largest competitors. Not a deal breaker, but it can be frustrating when out and about and your having to individual click download on exercise videos. Another oddity is that I find the apps audio queues quite limited. I’d love to see rep counts, and exercise names being included in the audio prompts. Asana Rebel feels way more refined.

Horrible customer service and predatory automatic renewals. Horrible customer service and predatory automatic renewals. They are a multi million dollar company willing to take money unapologetically and without warning from their customers (in the middle of a pandemic no less) based on a technicality which I immediately tried to rectify. I bought a year’s subscription because gyms were closed during 2020. I stopped using the app when gyms reopened here in Australia. A few days ago my annual subscription auto renewed. I got an email after the fact, but no reminder leading up to it. I emailed customer support within an hour asking if they would refund it because I didn’t realise it would auto renew and I hadn’t used it for a while and wasn’t going to use it going forward. They said no. I asked again politely and still no. I understand this would have been in the t’s and c’s and the onus is on me to cancel in advance. However, I still think this is a horrible way to treat customers and speaks volumes about who they are as a company. There was no friendly reminder email that an auto renewal was coming up soon and that I would need to take action to cancel if I wanted. That’s an easy automated email from their CRM and is the right thing to do. They’ve lost a customer for life and I will recommend against it whenever it comes up in conversation with friends.

Super Motivating. I love this app, it keeps me motivated, every morning I wake up I look forward to beating my friends times. The coach feature is fantastic it really pushes me and listens to my feedback and adjusts the workouts effectively. Highly recommended for digital nomads like myself who don’t always have access to gyms but can use the world around them as a gym. If only I had enough room in my luggage for a portable chin up bar I’d be sorted!

So boring, rip off. Not a fun way to train, there are way better apps. Need verbal guidance on the exercises, you aren’t going to bother looking them up before you exercise. Little variation of exercises, just high reps. Shoot me now They also don’t warn you when they are about to take your money. I stopped using this app after a couple of sessions, tried to cancel my subscription (which you can’t do on your phone you have to go to the website) , forgot about it and now they’ve taken my money and won’t refund it.

Very good. First app I have found that works around everyday changes, no gear or no weights, limited space or need to be quiet. Just tell it and it will adapt. Good value and I am getting good results. Highly recommend giving it a go.

Absolutely the best app. The app never disappointed me, pushes me to reach my goals. Works perfectly!! Been using it past 4 years and wouldn’t change!!

Terrible & inconsiderate service.. I have used this app ever since it was still free and I have mentioned it to friends and have liked it for years now. I bought the 3 month program at its full price on the 1st of april but haven’t had the chance to even start the program. Haven’t even pressed the ‘continue’ button at the start page. I then received an email at the 17th of may telling me that my subscription will expire on the 30th of June. Now, I was surprised cause I haven’t started the program and was never informed that it starts upon paying. If I had known, I could have started right away. I emailed them asking if I could have my subscription moved since I’ve never even used it and so I could have my money’s worth but they wouldn’t let me unless I had a medical certificate. I just feel like I’ve been scammed now because they won’t even consider. I think its only fair that I am to get what I paid for.

Nothing Is Free. Although it advertised otherwise, nothing is actually free on this app. It kept telling me to do my first workout and each time I selected the link, it asked me to pay for a subscription. So what I want to know is: since I have almost every known physical disability known to mankind, what coach would I be getting for my money? Since rehabilitation and hospitals haven’t been able to do any better, nor manage the chronic pain, how is this app going to do any better? I don’t think anyone thought about those things before creating an unbiased application and/or service. It doesn’t state so I’m the App Store description, but I’ll mention/make others aware of it... this app and service is PTSD unfriendly, including unfriendly to the mentally/psychologically and physically disabled. No one seems to be qualified in being able to help you (especially when they don’t have an understanding of how our bodies work differently to healthy ones), and they don’t even provide services suited for/to you or your needs. Greed is one of the ugly parts of humanity!

Not free. I thought that FREEletics would be free. My sibling have a free version and I can’t get it. I shouldn’t have to pay for my fitness.

Nothing free. It says “Freeletics” but there’s nothing free, they want us to pay 70 dollars for 3 months that is not cheap

Love the app. Been a user for a while now, I’d love to see integrations with TRX for example for more versatility and maybe Apple widgets ? Good job guys and oh, I also would like to see more weightlifting stuff, and running, all in one app, this one !

Quite good. Does a good job. I do well with apps that guide me on workouts and the in-workout UX is clean and simple. There are some UX irritants: I like to check out the workouts by tapping into each interval. When I back out you reload the workout screen for no reason and res roll the page. You should not do that, but even better you should let us swipe left and right from within the workout to navigate across exercises. You should move sound settings (countdown and applause) into each set so we can turn it off dynamically eg if we’re really into a podcast at that moment.

Nope. Called “Freeletics” but nothing in the app can be used for free. No trial. Nothing to sample - just “give us a bunch of money and cross your fingers”. Registration and a bunch of personal info required to start the app. Shortest subscription is 3 months. Classic bait and switch.

Impressed. Sticking with Freeletics instead of gym.. This app changed my mind about gyms. Like many others, I sought out an app when my gym closed due to COVID-19. Freeletics seemed like a great fit but with a high price tag. I was dubious that home workouts would be effective. I learned a lot: 1) Home workouts are effective and fun! 2) My core wasn’t as strong as I had thought. 3) My flexibility wasn’t as good as I had thought. This app met and exceeded my expectations. My posture is better than ever and I’m stronger now than I was at the gym in many ways.

Doesn’t even work. never got to go past the sign up area... it kept loading and never ended .. you guys need to fix this issue because i was actually excited to use this app

So many problems. Getting less and less worth the subscription. Watch support is gone. Even when you download your workouts you can’t do workouts offline all the time. Help chat doesn’t work. Developer doesn’t to support emails. Not worth the money anymore

Freeletics *****. J’adore cette application. C’est le meilleur système d’entraînement complet que j’ai pratiqué jusqu’à maintenant.

Excellent app. I have been using this app for the past 3 years, still amazing. I miss the previous Apple Watch app, which was very good.

Workouts are great I just want more options... I wish more workouts were available without the personal trainer program

Great motivation and techniques. By personalized coaches, I’ve gain closer to my goals by how I wanted to train and at what difficulty. This app has helped me strive through my challenges of working out and pushed towards the better me of my future. If your shy to workout at gym or don’t know how to get yourself started with proper techniques and forms, the coaches at Freeletics will guide you great! Recommend to all or who have started workouts to get back in shape!

Where did workout of the week go?!. I loved the fact that the free version had a new workout of the week for me to try/preview to get a feel for the app and what I would encounter if I paid for a subscription. Suddenly, on the most recent app update it disappeared. Why?

Waste of money. The only use is to see how to do an exercise and a timer between the sets.

Auto Renewal. Very unhappy with auto renewals on an app that’s been deleted from my phone for 8 months. There is no way to stop your subscription through the app, so make sure that if you don’t want to renew you send an email directly to them and wait for a response… because if your renewal goes through they will not refund you. I haven’t used the app in 8 months and noticed an $80 charge on my account (not from Freeletics, from random sub-company). Extremely unhappy.

Great, needs some improvements to be Amazing. Been following the workouts for a couple of weeks now. Wish there could be these improvements : at start of each exercise, speech dictation of the exercise title (avoid having me to look at the screen) Small vocal tidbits during the exercise on how to perform the exercise correctly (easier to answer the honest self-feedback later on)

Good app but seem better days. Love the app, I’ve been using it for quite a while now. But it seemed better days. First they tried to shove in the throats of the user their shop (which was really price and only convenient if you shipped to Europe). Then they finally got rid of it but they killed the standalone Apple Watch app. I ended up switching to Peloton for running. Hope they remember the runner users any time soon.

Seriously need a proper watch app. Guys, your app is awesome! I have seen a. Transformation in my body and health! Seriously if anyone reads this, it’s worth the money! But we need a proper watch app, especially with offline support so that we can train outside without lugging our huge phone. Please…thank you

Great app — too many spammy notifications. Even if you buy the premium version, they still spam you with notifications about buying exercise equipment. If you pay for premium, the experience should be ad-free.

Great app. Got this app as a gift and its exactly what I needed. Well designed and easy to use. Workouts progress nicely as I am a beginner.

nope. only thing free is wasting your time if your smart enough never to subscribe to monthly $$$ apps. Read the reviews complaint after complaint about refunds and subscription practices. just go to youtube thousands upon thousands of free workout vids

Screen Flip. May I request that for the IPad App, you add the ability for the screen to be in landscape mode and not only in portait?

Why isn’t there a “build muscle” option for women??. I got the app for the sole purpose of building muscle but I had to change my settings to male so that I could have the “build muscle” option…

best apps for training at home or outside. really good awesome

Woow. Vraiment une application formidable

This app totally useful!!!. Check this app taking for long run. If you wanted do just for short period still fine. You can cut your fats into muscle because of this app! 말이 필요없는 앱!

No refunds.. Typically, I find companies who believe in their product will be gracious about offering a refund. If you happen to forget to cancel your subscription before the payment is processed, that’s it. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t used the app and forgot about it, it doesn’t matter if you plan to use it for the next 365 days. This company does not care and won’t act in good faith. I was sending emails to support asking if I could get a refund and got the same, stale answer several times. Never using this again.

Favourite Workout Partner. My schedule is inconsistent and staying fit has been a challenge. The app helps me stay on track no matter what. I’m self motivated, so it’s been a great way for me to push myself especially with out weights and adjust my routine based on what I have available.

Please add to Roku or apple box. Please allow people to add this to their smart tv devices and work out at home. Trying to use this just on my phone is hard

Scam company auto renew without notice. Heads up company a scam. If you sign up, they will automatically renew you without notice. Be aware of that when signing up.

J’adore!

I was skeptical.... ...but now I’m a believer! I’ve tried many apps, bought books, subscribed to magazines, but this right here is the real deal. I’m challenged, I’m changing, I’m hooked!!

Was a great app until…. Have really loved this app up until they started pushing the coach and paying. In the most recent update they took away most of the free features and god workouts and scaled down what you are able to access without paying. Disappointed that greed got the best of the developers.

Misleading. All of these apps fail to disclose that it’s a paid subscription until *after* they get your email and personal info. I’m not about it, and if you put “Free” in your name, I don’t think I’m wrong for expecting it to be free. Dog water.

Bait and Switch. As soon as I bought a subscription, the app now refuses to work.

No free workout. The app name is Freeletics but everytime I picked any workout it kept asking me for $95. I couldn’t find any free workout.

Great app. Great app. Changed my life. Recently it stopped working on apple watch. Not sure what happened there.

Like scam. Don’t forget to cancel your membership after the purchase.. Guess what, they are renewing without prior notice. And the 14-day refund period does not apply to renewals. The first thing you should do after purchasing a paid membership is to cancel the active membership and prevent future unauthorized transactions. Or just try free alternative Nike or choose Apple Fitness if you have apple watch.

Scummy company watch out for Auto. Renewal. I’m out 80 bucks because of an auto-renewal they won’t refund, even after contacting support and being offered a useless “solution”. At least notify us a week in advance if you’re going to charge the card. It’s just scummy practice to charge people out of the blue 365 days past the first try. Other companies are lenient with their refunds (even if they state they don’t give them out) but Freeletics don’t budge. Absolute **** customer service and zero sympathy for customers who already given them some money. They don’t care about you, they just want to take your $80. Scam.

Please bring back your Apple Watch app!. I’ve been a faithful user of Freeletics for 3 1/2 years, and the connected Freeletics Apple Watch app has been an integral part of my Freeletics workouts. I highly doubt I would’ve gotten anywhere near as far with Freeletics had it not been for the wearable tech inclusion to accurately calculate calorie burn, exercise minutes and built in cooldown monitoring (the two minutes post workout when your heart rate returns to normal). Using Freeletics with just the phone itself connected to Apple Health does not take anywhere near as many of these parameters into consideration - there are discrepancies an exercise minutes logged between the Freeletics app and the Apple Health app. Aside from accuracy, it is also nowhere near the same powerful user experience without being able to advance the exercises via your watch without causing between exercises to tap the screen on your phone. You are adding cumulative seconds to your workouts and missing PB’s that you may otherwise have been on target to make if you had not had to pause to interact with your phone. This will definitely be a major consideration for me going forward with continuing to use the service and quite honestly, it will likely be a dealbreaker for me when my subscription is up for renewal next year if there is no return of the Apple Watch app.

Buyer beware. The app is pretty good however their subscription practices are downright predatory. After paying for a promo period of 6months, I was automatically subscribed to another 6months at a hefty fee. While this is common practice to auto-renew, what was nearly impossible to track was subscription terms/dates. The app does not continue any of this info, nor does the App Store. You have to login on your computer to get any information about your subscription which is a shady way to hide this. Further, there is no warning email as a courtesy of your impending renewal. Here is the thing: I didn’t ask for a full refund, just the nutrition portion since I never use the service but they refused, cementing a negative review and churning customer.

Lbs to kg??. Latest release won’t let me change weights back to lbs from kg. Please update guys!!!!

Apple watch. Great app! Flexible and varied approaches! Saddly… no longer able to control and upload to an apple watch! This very practical feature needs to come back!

Great app, but... So this app is wonderful, but there's one issue I've came across so far, when you're watching a video of the exercise, after the video is done it takes you to a new screen, and the close button is way to high, to the point where you cannot click it. I'm giving it 5 stars because it deserves it, even though it has that minor flaw.

Untrustworthy. Any app or company that makes you feel guilty about unsubscribing from marketing emails shows where their true intentions are, and I don’t trust a fitness app more concerned with getting me to buy branded products instead of working out.

Pourrait être amélioré. On reste gelé au même niveau pour les entraînements, si un ne nous convient pas. On peut demandé une révision de ce dernier, mais les suggestions ne sont pas mieux.

Great app!!!. Love this app. Super easy to use and the content is varied. However, the app won’t even open on my phone anymore after the last update. It opens only for a split second then closes automatically.

Clearly created from years of experience. Good apps deserves good reviews since they’re so rare. I didn’t understand the purpose of a fitness app until Freeletics. I was an avid gym goer before but due to the pandemic/quarantine I had to figure out a way to work out in my garage. Freeletics is perfect. I started with the free workouts and now am doing their specialty programs. Love it.

I like this app but yesterday’s update keep crashing. It wont open on my iphone 6

Bring Watch App back. 100$ per year for removing existing and used features, or in this case the whole app is not acceptable.

The Best!. I did Freeletics for a month last fall because I was getting bored and tired of the same boring runs and ab workouts. I was relatively active when I started Freeletics and wasn’t worried about losing weight or anything; I just wanted a new challenge! At the end of that month, I had dropped a whole 10lbs and needed a whole new wardrobe because my clothes were too big. It was such a sweet surprise. Highly effective app with challenging workouts that keep things interesting!

Good workouts but UI needs MAJOR work. Workouts are broken into 5-7individual “units”. Each unit will have 1-7 exercise. BUT each excessive requires a swipe upon completion. Then, on completing a unit, the app has you! Rate you progress, give personal feed back, accept a separate pop up for a star and then exit the unit and start the next unit. I spend more time interacting with the app then working out! Also the cheer sound effect is fun, but pauses my music each time it plays. Also this is the only iPad app I know of that doesn’t support different rotations. I had to charge my iPad during a workout so all the demos vids were upside down...

Great app!. I’ve been using this app intermittently over the last 2 years. It’s been a great workout tool that I’m glad I downloaded. The only thing I would change is in the barbell gain training journey and others like it, I would change the names of the “intervals” to the weight exercise involved. I know it’s an interval but I have to tap each one to see which equipment I will need. When you workout in a public gym that can prove kind of annoying. Otherwise a great app!

7 Kids & Back to Wedding Weight. You put in the solid work, you are going to find muscles you have never seen before. I am a 45 year old female with 7 kids... after 9 months of Bodyweight workouts (3x a wk) and using the Freeletics running app (2x a wk) I can actually see 3 rows of abs, and the Mom arm has been replaced with long and lean muscle. Crazy! The burpees are your frenemy... do them. Obey the gods in the program, eat real food, and do the work. And stop complaining - you get what you give.

Great app. Couple suggestions.. The app works really well. I would like to see a few improvements to make it even better: 1. Go easy on Coach upsell. I’m currently subscribed, but when I’m not, the app offers to subscribe every time I open it. Quite annoying. 2. Sometimes I have to end a workout early. Would be great if Coach acknowledged that. I think it sort of does, but it’s not obvious. 3. For audio sessions, please track mindful minutes in Apple Health. These are basically meditations and it would be great to count that time as mindful minutes for those of us that care.

False $100 Charge. I used to use this app on and off for 5 years- especially in the wintertime when I couldn’t get outside to jog- and I really enjoyed it. Recently I was over charged over $100. I reached out asking for a refund and was told they don’t give refunds regardless of the situation. ??? I’ve never had a problem with being overcharged by Freeletics before, they’ve changed their policies and procedures. Also, I don’t even have access to the Freeletics features that they charged me for. I’m soooo sad my go-to app is doing this to ppl. They’re not even being sneaky, they just charged me like they don’t gaf. If you look at the most recent reviews many ppl are having similar experiences. I use BetterMe now and I really like it

World-wide percentile rank. I’m loving the app. It would be great to add a global ranking for the workouts. It’s good to fight against your personal best, but it would be amazing to see how you rank amongst all freeletics users in each workout. I did a Prometheus in 14 mins but have no benchmark to understand how good that is... Maybe you guys could also add rakings by category (eg. By sex, age, level etc.). It would definitely be a motivation boost for the competitive spirits (and should be a quick feature to build).

Set Habits for Life. Like so many, I had struggled to stay motivated and consistent with exercise. I found this app and did a six week program without missing a day. Now it's over two years later and I am still going strong. I love this app, the variety of exercise programs, and the options to train quietly, exclude muscle groups, and the ability to train in under 15 minutes if I'm in a pinch-- and it's less expensive than a gym membership!

Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for this.. I have been using this app for a few years off and on but, in the passed several months i have committed and been working out more than i ever had. In the passed few weeks my app has been nearly unusable when i do not have good data connection. It will buffer before, after and during workouts. I will have to pause between each workout which is awful when the goal is to complete the workouts as quickly as possible. Sometimes the workout will not even save after I complete it. It is very frustrating especially because i love this app. Please fix. Also, i have already submitted a formal request to have this fixed through tech support. Hopefully the app can go back to how it used to be and will function correctly while offline.

Do not recommend/will take your money. Requested a refund for a subscription that was auto-renewed. Got the following reply. Any company whose business model relies on accidental autorenews should be avoided. I’ve never been denied a refund request for a subscription in similar instances with other companies. Sad. “Unfortunately, I'm unable to refund you for recurring Coach subscription payments according to our policies. When you purchased your Coach subscription it was stated that the subscription renews automatically, unless you cancel it before the end of the chosen subscription period… Remember, there was a reason you started with Freeletics. Your goals are still waiting for you.”

Cool app needs to work better in watch OS. Love the workouts specially in the situation we are going thru with quarantine. I tried to use the Apple Watch versión but the workout recorded weird. It didn’t get the whole time I actually workout and it show as many tiny functional workouts. Also I am not even sure if I can use it without the phone. I don’t like that both apps don’t work at the same time like every other workout app. watchOS app needs work. Make the app independent but also to work whenever you start a workout in the phone. Made sure the workouts are recorded correctly.

Incredible App and training product. vid weightlifter but have completely changed and am t- love this app! Two years ago at 48 yrs of age, having always lifted weights. I was looking for a workout that combined athleticism with strength and endurance training. This app does a great job of getting you in shape and creating a superb challenge both mentally and physically. Super tough workouts that take very little time out of my busy days. Now at 50 yrs old and in superior shape! Awesome app that I can not recommend enough!! ddicted to body weight training. Great Product!! Get the coach for sure!!

The best investment in yourself. I have been using Frreletics for 2.5 years. I loved the app when I discovered it and immediately got the coach. When you created Journeys, I thought, you guys are really awesome, how could this get any better? Then you integrated running and now I think you guys are simply BRILLIANT! Well done Freeletics team, I am a huge fan and really appreciate your thoughtful and very intelligent use of product design, technology and delivery to help me achieve my goals.

Too many clicks and not free, routines not diverse. So many issues with this app. It started with the fact that there is no free trial (misleading name). I had to spend $35 to try it and knew immediately it wasn’t a fit. I guess that’s why there’s no free trial. The app itself is not user friendly. I have to hold my phone during the entire workout. Swiping at the end of each exercise and then having to tap 6 times to end each section (end of exercise, confirm completion, feedback on the exercises, feedback on the sessions then “save”). I need something that’s hands free. The exercises themselves are not very diverse or customized. Usually focused on repeating 3-4 exercises for 15 minutes. One workout included 45 burpees during my first week - not easy for a middle aged guy - another was just 150 sit ups and 150 mountain climbers.

Love the idea, but there seem to be flaws. Either the app has flaws or I’m not using it correctly. It would be very helpful if the developer could have an instructional video very much like the ones they have for the exercises for how to use the app. I’ve completed five days but the app is only showing that I did two days? I’m also only seeing that I’ve done and 85% of the work out is that because I wasn’t able to do all the exercises correctly? Maybe the developer could also have a way for us to contact them with questions.

Great fitness app. Never crashes, pushes you to your max, gets to all your muscle groups, varies the workout, probably 90% as effective as your own trainer, but at a cost of $7 a month. Great app. Fringe benefit - my knee pain - which I’d had for years - disappeared after a few months of the freeletics Fitness track. Beware - your “coach” is AI, not a human. Freeletics is up front about that, but I know I didn’t notice that until I went back and looked. Doesn’t matter too much - I personally like going at my own pace rather than having a trainer looking over me.

Be aware of the bad reviews!. The most of the bad reviews are for the similar reason: the way the charge you and the refund policy is just worse than the industry standard. This app is a decent app and I used it for a while when the gym is closed. Then I stopped using it. I do regularly checked my apple account subscription section to make sure I don’t have unwanted subscription but this app is not there even in their app they said the subscription is managed on apple account. Today I found out I was charged for another $150. I immediately contact the app and got an immediate automatic reply indicating they don’t refund anything because of the policy. There is no notification from app or email me about the scheduled payment. They just quietly take your money until you find out.

Unlock Your Potential: A Freeletics Ambassador's Perspective. As a long-time user and Freeletics Ambassador, I can confidently say that Freeletics has been an integral part of my fitness journey. It offers versatile workouts that cater to all levels, and the community support is unparalleled. Freeletics has not only helped me achieve my fitness goals but has also transformed my life, turning me into a better version of myself. It's a must-have for anyone looking to level up their fitness game.

Crashes on Hold exercises. Absolutely love this app, it’s helped me to get into better shape than I’ve been in my whole life honestly. Only reason I’ve given it 3 stars is because on certain exercises like plank holds and pull up holds, the app crashes and I lose all my progress within that section of the workout. It’s insanely frustrating and inhibits my ability to keep up with my stats and have an accurate picture of my progress. Once that bug is fixed my rating will change to a 5/5

It needs work. I wish it would auto remove exercises that you can’t do, due to not having the equipment. The also downside is not having someone able to show you how the exercise is supposed to be performed. I find myself having to use outside resources to figure it out. I’m glad I got this app on sale. I probably won’t be renewing it later this year. It’s good for what it does well. Being able to set a workout schedule and have somewhat guided workouts is great. It just needs to add modifications if you can’t do the workout and auto remove all workouts you can’t do since you don’t have the equipment. I was hoping for a bit more from this app.

My PT. Have been using Freeletics for about five years, and as a paid subscriber for the last two. I’m doing mostly own body weight programs. I really really like it, and it keeps pushing me back on the floor and sweat 3-4 times a week, without needing to give a single thought on what to do this time, just follow the program . Reading some of the feedback that programs might get boring over time, and yes maybe that is the case. However, personally, I like the exercises, the way they push me, and surely appreciate the results :) Will keep subscribing..

Great app- a few minor changes for 5 star. I’ve gotten in better shape than I’ve been in the last 15 years using this app. A couple recommendations: The journeys need to save my info so it’s not having to learn about my fitness level all over again every time I start a new journey. Need to be able to make modifications to the plan in the middle of the work out week. Stuff happens. The gps tracking for runs is glitchy and too easy to accidentally turn off or reset in the middle of a run. Update Jan 2021: GPS issue seems to be resolved- thank you! I wish the journeys would have more options for selecting duration of workouts. I’ve started some journeys that I like, but then I get to a day where I basically need 2 hours to do the work out- then it takes me days or weeks to be able to find the time to do it. Also- how about some free stuff for reaching certain levels?

Freeletics athlete 4Free!!. So, I've had freeletics for over 2 and a half hrs Now... And I am about level 41 as of right now. And, what I can say is that it is an excellent app I use it in conjunction with other regular bodyweight workouts. And I've only used the free version, which consists of 10 workouts. For which I've done everyone except Zeus… this is a highly stellar app, for which I would highly advise you take advantage of. Even if you just use the free version, like me. I would like to buy the full membership. But just don't have a lot of money. So, long story short, I would highly suggest this app!! ;) you won't regret it!! Trust me!

The app is slow to load up.. I’ve been a freeletics user for 2 years now and I never decided to write a review until now I’ve never had a problem with the app util the most recent update. The app is taking way to long to load up my coach routine and I’ve even had to wait from 15 minutes to 30minutes to start a workout to much time to load. I love the workouts and love everything else regarding this app but the loading time is so infuriating. For coach users it should be made available an offline mode or something to make the app load faster.

1 year membership keeps me going. Since I go through phases of working out and stopping for various reasons, travel, sickness, etc. Paying for the 1 year membership has kept me motivated to get right back on track with working out. Sometimes I go to a gym, but when I can’t the flexibility of Freeletics let’s me squeeze in a workout at my convenience. I like the numerous options and variability of the workouts.

Great app!. I love the app. I’m a beginner at living a life of exercise. I’m happy that this app is able to take this into account through the post-workout feedback we can give for future workouts. I got this app during the pandemic (May) last year but was really only consistent at the beginning of this year(Jan 2021) and I’m happy with my progress. I didn’t give 5 star because- when a workout includes a run, you can opt not to run. But it doesn’t work the other way around- i.e you can’t skip the body weight training and opt to run instead, which would be ideal for days or weeks where I just want running only.

3 weeks in. Really enjoying it so far. The videos are extremely detailed and helpful. The ability to give feedback makes sure you stick with it. I’ve tried other workout apps/plans that are just outside of my currently ability, and so it’s hard to feel motivated to keep trying them. Freeletics is never completely outside my ability, and if it is, I can give feedback so my workout is more appropriate next time! The app is sleek, and the exercises feel effective. Looking forward to continuing using it.

Mostly Great App. Love the app! Been using it for years. The coach feature is a legitimate must. Helps with figuring out what/when to do things (which truthfully is the biggest hurdle in working out.) I’ve seen real physical changes for me. Only draw backs is that the barbell option should have more workouts than it has, and they used to have an Apple Watch connection then removed it about a year ago. That was a huge bummer. Overall though, solid app and good bang for your buck.

Good Variety and Coaching. I have enjoyed this app for exercising without a gym with HIIT workouts (although weight training is available too). It gives you all kinds of options for how you want to get fit and to adjust the workout that day if you are feeling sore. Listen to their recommendations on rest and mark when you are feeling sore because the exercises are intense and you can get hurt if you push too hard or don’t have proper form.

Ok app; NO customer service available. Is there somewhere I can send a screenshot. This is the “help” I get Freeletics Freeletics Bot Hi 👋, I'm the Freeletics bot! Be aware. This seems like a really good program. There’s a lot of it that I like. But to be honest, I didn’t use it that much my first year with it. Then the renewal happened for another year for $140! I forgot that it was coming. I contacted customer support the same day it happened because I had no plans to use this app, I just wasn’t committed enough. Plus, it really wasn’t in my budget to pay for a whole year all at once. They replied with “Unfortunately, I'm unable to refund you for recurring Coach subscription payments according to our policies.” I responded by saying I’d be willing to pay for a week or even a month. But I never heard back from them. If you sign up for the Coach subscription, just keep track of when it renews because they won’t help you once it happens.

Good app for busy people. Get the coach, it is a bit pricey but very good if you don’t have the time to drive to the gym. Any place great for doing the workouts, I do most on my garage or outside porch. The results are noticeable in short period of time you will see your body changing, but the most important thing about doing all the workouts as they recommend is one gets in a very good shape really fast. Keep up the good work and please develop the app for Apple Watch.

Tighten up. I’ve been down on the count for a few years. This app along with the running add on help you get back to where you want to be in a way. Especially after torn ligaments in my ankle and my core getting so weak my lower back is wrecked. I’m 6’5 190lbs and active daily yet I need to get back when I was 8 years ago. Get the app pay the additional and find a music work out app that may start with fit and end with radio to get those in your head workout jams!!

Not worth it! So many better apps out there. First of all - the customer service and subscription model is horrible. I somehow purchased this through the website instead of iTunes and never received an email or any notification that my subscription was renewing. When I reached out to them two days later after being charged $90 for something I never use, I was told that I cannot be refunded because I am past the 14 day grace period (which makes absolutely no sense!!). And now I’m down $90 for an app that has been deleted off my phone for the past 6 months. I feel so scammed... for an app focused on bettering yourself, I feel like it has done the complete opposite. Secondly, MUCH BETTER fitness apps out there. Peloton and SWEAT are both amazing for just a little more money.

Hi. I love the free version of the game is my morning I am just going home and going home 🏡 is my day to go get out to go home and play with him or he will have a lot to do I love ❤️ is that I don’t want him going home because he is not playing games I am just playing and it is not playing I am playing it is the good game and he has a game that you play and you have to pay for a free app that is a great game and you have no robux to be a good night you can call them and play it if they are free and they are playing it so I don’t think I have any problems

Need adaptations for new users. I’ve been working with a (real) trainer for 2 years—both bodyweight exercises and weights. I can be sure in my IRL sessions I won’t get hurt. With this app, I feel a lot of stress on my back in several parts of my “coaching” and some of the moves frankly aren’t possible for me yet. I’m a woman without a lot of upper body strength and you put a jumping pull up in my day 2 coaching session? You’ve gotta be f’ing kidding. I wish the developers added an adapted variant for those of us who aren’t fitness model-level trained already. I wouldn’t recommend this app unless you are already in stellar shape and able to do full pull ups or pushups and 120 crunches already.

Subscription Renewal. The app works, if you’re consistent. I would recommend setting up a reminder to keep you aware of your upcoming subscription renewal date. I have not been using this application for months, close to a year now, and I was just charged overnight with absolutely no option to get my money back. They claim they appreciate transparency with their customers, so an alert that goes out to customers days before they are charged a hefty amount would add to that transparency. Be mindful of everyone’s financial situation; what was a possibility a year ago might not be today.

Great with some small issues. Really love the app, and the workouts have been fun and challenging so far. But there are some minor tweaks that would make it a lot better: - My calories and move metrics seem to be getting double counted. Not sure why. This doesn’t happen with other apps that write to Health - The app on the watch doesn’t fire up automatically when the workout starts on the phone. I know this can be done, as other workout apps do it, and it’s much more convenient - When moving from an exercise that is rep based to one that is time based, it would be very helpful to have a brief countdown before starting the timer. For example, pull up holds are impossible to start at the same time as you press the start button. Overall, great app, and excited to work through the first 12 week program!

First time first day and it was buggy. Seems like it would be a good app if t wasn’t buggy. Went through the training on day one - somehow managed to skip a chunk without knowing, then the app proceeded to give me five seconds for some stretches and not for others, and skipped stretches on one side! The app ended with the last stretch half swiped over. Also, the app could use more voice prompts - one for each exercise, it’s hard to transition well without a prompt to let you know what’s coming next. Two stars for now because it seems promising, and I’ll keep using as I subscribed, but have to manage my own stretches at the end :/. Color me not super impressed so far.

Not customizable enough. I do not understand this app’s fascination with pushups. I am a marathoner, and am in very good shape, but am rather weak in the upper body. The app will assign me pushups, along with something like core or leg exercises. I can do the core or legs easily, but I tap out at about eight pushups per set. After the workout, it will ask me how the intensity was, but I find it hard to answer, because of my fitness discrepancy. I will explicitly tell it that I could not finish the pushups, and it will, in later workouts, literally assign me fifty pushups, or clapping pushups, or tens of burpees. This is not hyperbole. I will, again, tell it that I cannot finish the sets, but it will persist in later workouts.

This app stays ON IT. I live in Cali and had gym shutdown blues. Never worked out with an app before. Kinda looked down on it before. Not after using Freeletics! The whole experience is really well designed and I love the upper body with weights only workouts. My legs are getting much stronger too. Idk what other apps are like, cause this is the first one I’ve used but seriously good work team the app design and evolving workouts are straight fire. You’ve got a customer for many years to come!

Surprise charges, bad customer care, and no refunds. EDIT: After a bit of a fight, my girlfriend was refunded. Updated to 4 stars. They charged my girlfriend $35, without prior warning, and were not willing to refund. She’s between jobs and now her bank account is empty. I was a huge fan of Freeletics, but after this there’s no way I’ll be using their apps anymore or recommending them to my friends. After a 1 month trial there was (a) no notification that an automatic 3-month subscription would be charged and (b) no opt-in to continue the subscription. Additionally they were not even listed as an active subscription on her Apple account, yet they still charged the $35 to my girlfriend, leaving her with no money to support herself for the week. All of that would even be fine even if they just refunded the subscription, but they refused. Just goes to show the people behind Free-letics don’t believe in anything “Free” about it.

Updated : Horrible Subscription management. If you subscribed before they had Apple subscription integration and you don’t use this app often, you will find yourself with a surprise charge annual charge down the road. I contacted within 12 hours of renewal charge but they won’t provide a refund, though their cancellation process is very poor. Any business that is based on renewal traps like these should be avoided. Update: Support was fast and responsive in addressing issue. Ultimately IOS subscriptions IOS should be managed centrally and provide notifications T-7, T-3, T-1 day and prompt me way before then on whether I’m an engaged user.

Made bodyweight worth it. I travel a lot for work and I’ve tried a lot of different apps and programs to try to find a bodyweight exercise plan that challenges me. I’ve been lifting 5 to 6 days a week for 5+ years and run three days a week so most of them just were not challenging. This app, especially after it gets to know you, about week two, kills it
