Best so far, but needs improvements. Really nice videos, but the app loses your editing data if you exit the app to do anything else like check a text message, etc. so you could be in the middle of editing all your clips and then lose the whole thing. All in all it's still very fast and easy to use. Would be nice to be able to search for songs by name instead of just scrolling through your sound library by artist or all songs.

Got to add video to a clip,. Chief complaint: they offered an upgrade for 4.99 then charged me 18 dollars when I said yes. 2nd complaint, even after upgrading, adding music to a clip doesn’t work. Update your software if you’re going to continue to charge.

Unable to access videos. I was really excited about using this app. But it doesn’t access my previous video files. It only allows starting with newly added footage. Very frustrating.

So much potential. I don't know if I just haven't figured out the proper way to use this app, but I'm frustrated with the lackluster way in which it works. It has such potential to be a great and easy app for editing videos. It crops the video far too much and completely ruins the intended visual effect. Because it crops it so much, putting the video on Instagram is impossible because of the cropping done by that app. Basically you get a close up shot of an eyeball or something. I'm so bummed because this app is brilliantly put together otherwise, but unfortunately completely unusable for me and I'll be deleting.

Review. This app is a total rip off

Fun, simple, but one fault.. The app is fun and simple to use! I've been looking for a video merger for some time and this one seems like it's been doing the job. The only thing I don't like is that when you click to add more or other videos, the videos from your video roll are in a random placement with no order. It's hard to find the video I'm looking for. It would be extremely helpful if the videos were lined up from most recent, to least recent, or some other chronological odder. The complication and confusion of the video order is why I've given the app a 3.

What happened?. Loved this app three years ago. Now I’m lucky if it loads up. Crashes constantly.

Pro feature. Wish more music could be added, more transitions effects and text

This app is trash. Doesn’t function. Every time you select a video and hit the check mark it kicks you out of the app. Waste of money.

Laggy/choppy videos when saved to camera roll?. I got this app just for Instagram, I like it for the most part. I would like an update that gives you the option to keep the audio on your original video or to put background music. I did buy the upgrade to use my own music which I don't mind, but when I save my videos to my camera roll, there are some parts that are laggy/choppy which bothers me since I just spent money on this app. Otherwise, I really like it, but am hoping for some updates with changes in the future. Please fix this guys so I can give you 5 stars.

Doesn’t work even when purchasing pro!. Just purchased the pro version. Preview looks great when editing but complete project only shows about 1/4 of the complete screen. No support website / email / phone number. DONT BUY!

got screwed. i payed 2.99 to be able to add music and when i tried to add music it didnt even play. also the crop size is almost impossible to fit any picture in. and you can’t change the size. hate it. waste of money.

Waste. Don't put ANY MONEY INTO THIS APP THINKING YOU'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO USE APPLE MUSIC FOR VIDEOS. WASTE OF MONEY.

Two fixes needed STAT. Then I'll be golden!. This app is so amazing! So many great filters, can utilize your own personal music library, and upload to email, social media or send via email. Quick Easy and user friendly. Now, the three fixes that will turn this app into a 5 star rating to a 10 star is as follows: 1. Please make a time signature for the clips therefore ensuring proper clean editing. I have to guess everytime I link one "clip" to the next often making repeats and blips in the timeline. For example at the start of the imported video one would start at the 0:00 time and end at 2:00 if the clip was 2 minutes long. 2. Please allow for a longer finished video! I can only edit up to the 3 and 45 second mark I believe. Would be great to At least edit a 5 minute clip. 3. Allow for a time speed slider to either slow down a clip manually, or speed up. Please fix these! I'll love you forever!!!

Annoying and Terrible App. I heard from a friend that clipper was a great app that can make cool videos made up of your very own. That may be true but I can't even get passed the first screen because of the terrible and annoying bugs and glitches. As I tried to scroll down to choose the different videos it immediately got out of the app to my home screen. After several times of trying it again and again I gave up. Then I thought it was probably just the device I was using so I downloaded it on another device. The same exact thing happened so it had to be something with the app. If they don't come out with a bug fixes update then I will delete it. The only reason I even gave it two stars is because I have heard it was a great app. I hope no one else has to go through this terrible experience.😡

Does not upload to Instagram properly. I bought this app to make videos for Instagram. But there's a few problems. 1- when I upload to IG, half the video is blurry, the bottom half. Super annoying. 2- Id love to see a timer in the app, so you can see how much time you've used. IG only allows 15 seconds, so you need to keep your video short. If those two issues were fixed, I would give this app 5 stars. It's easy to use and high quality. Thanks!

Clipper Edit. Overall a good start but needs work. Videos don't play in the post edit view only when selecting the actual video. Only allows 16:9 crop on all videos no matter how the original footage was shot. Most of the time the forced crop ruins the clip you wanted to select. Should at least allow no cropping and use other social media application you want to post with deal with how its cropped. Support does reply to issues but doesn't supply any solutions. Hopefully an update will open up the app more to allow the user more control instead of what the developer wants. Great start of you don't want to use iMovie.

Works Great!. The App is very easy to use! Love how you can combine the different videos you have and mash them all up into one making the video you're making very affective. The only down side I have is that it cant share to "Instagram" making it very hard to put the video on Instagram because the video doesn't fit on insta causing it to crop much of the video out. It would be awesome if we got that to work out! But raged less, still get the app:)

Nothing special. Very basic editing- and unless you pay there will be a watermark of "Made by Clipper" over your video. So- deleted the app about 5 minutes after installing.

MUSIC DOESNT WORK. Super annoyed because I bought the premium version of the app and it definitely won’t play my music. That’s the whole reason I bought it.

It doesn’t work!. It takes forever to load videos from the video album, when it finally loads, it crashes every time. Either update this app, or delete it from the App Store. False advertising.

Could be great. Needs some work.. This app would be really cool but for some odd reason it says it allows me to add music from iTunes for the background music, but that feature definitely doesn’t work. Just warning if you try to purchase the premium option hoping for that feature.

Amazing App!!! Wish clips will keep their original sound. Woah this app is so great!! I was able to do almost exactly what I wanted to do with my videoclips! I upgrade the pro version $$ and I'm still happy with the app. Two things to improve; It needs ISTAGRAM as a social media feature to share videos and it also will be a killer app if you could keep the clips original sounds plus adding the music to the whole movie! Thank you!!!

Amazing App That Mostly Does The Work For You. I've had a rough go with video editing apps on the iPhone but this one was the answer to my problems. Simple and effective and provides you with instructions as you need them. Would be a five star rating if we could keep the original video's audio and still have a bit of a soundtrack underneath it. That's nitpicking on my part, but overall I have no complaints. Great app

Great but.... I really like it and it's so easy to use and manage but I wish there were a few things more, like: 1. More transitions or the option to put none at all. I want to make a video with several short clips and it's annoying the constant fading. Pleeease add this!!! 2. The option to see the leght of the video you are doing, guessing is no fun and even more when it's for an instagram video and you have to keep shortening the video to meet the 15sec Overall is the perfect app for what I need and it would be a 10million star app if you added those things. I've been having it for long now and i dont even remember if the option to put music was paid, but if so i paid it because it's sooo worth it! But please it would be even better with those things :,,,(

Great App!. Great, simple, easy to use app that lets you put together a quick collection of video clips in very little time! Just about the only thing I wish is that it had more music options, but it’s free, so I can’t complain too much. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

not what you pay for. I got this app for one reason only... to add music to my video I already made on a different app. I payed extra so that I could use music from my apple library but it won’t even play. And the video I already had made, it won’t play the full thing. It only plays clips of it and then stops. This app has been a waste of my money and time. Sorry creators, there’s something wrong

Do not buy unless you only want a 3 second video. You can only make 3 second videos on this app. When you upgrade to ‘pro’ you can still only make 3 second videos...

Misleading and I want a refund. Of all the apps I’ve downloaded. This one is amongst those misleading ones, it says add music but it doesn’t tell you that you have to pay 2.99 or up to $6.99 to use your own music on this app!! I demand a refund!

Videos don’t play. No matter what videos I try to edit, when I try to preview or play them they stop/pause/freeze part way through. Tried this with every video on my phone and using all available editing tools.

Love it!. Great for instagram videos! Needs more effects and filters to choose from . Love fisheye effect but the colours on that one need to be a little softer and I think the free sounds for music need updating to be more modern :)

Downloaded this to make my own Instagram videos, payed the extra to get it without the clipper logo and to add my own music to only have the app crash and lose all my editing EVERY time i try and save a video. Also not impressed how you can't choose what part of the song you want to be played from your own music, you get stuck with whatever the start of each song is!!! Disappointed :(

Rubish. It only allows 10 sec clips starts from a black frame and finishes on a black frame with transitions included your clip endup being like 5 seconds, waste of money!!!

Useless for IG. Keeps videos in rectangular mode. Doesn’t work for Instagram. Deleted it 2 mins after downloading. Bank god I didn’t upgrade and pay for the full version.

Only half an app. This would be good if you could edit where your clip ENDS as well as starts. There is mo way to discard the unwanted end portion. You can only vary the starting point. Half an app warrants half a star.

Fun. Very fun. Makes us laugh a lot. Creates funky little videos.

Doesn't let the video run entire length. Crops out too much of the video instead of allowing whole file to play.

No good for portrait videos. I downloaded this app to put together a small video for Instagram. I deleted it less than 5 minutes later because the app only supports landscape shots and I could only choose from either the top half of myself, or the bottom half. Pointless.

Terrible app. Has a watermark on video and only supports landscape. I put a 7 second video on and it cut it down to 3 seconds. Do not get this app unless you want to waste your money! This app has good potential but until something is fixed do not download!!

some issues, but Good a good app. The Big issue (bug) I found is that there is a green line at the bottom of my videos when I import them, That aside their needs to be a few more options, like for example I love the slow-motion video filter but I want to be able to Apply it to my original video rather then use the "soft" or "clear" portion of the filter other then that its good fix the green bar at the bottom and its a 4 star give me more Customization and I'd give it a 5 , actually I give it a 10 if I could (FYI) I am adding another bug there is a memory leak as well the app will crash from time to time and you will have to start over very annoying please fix ¡!¡

Crashed on second load.. Iphone5, my apps never crash. Just tried another video editor and made three intensively edited videos, tried to load this very basic app up & it crashed. Sorry but "Replay" is getting a 5* rating.

Fix freezing. Love the music update, especially how you can select where the song begins. However, as soon as I go to share the video or save it to my camera roll an error pops up and the app freezes. Please fix this and the app would get the 5 stars it deserves.

User Friendly. This is a great way to use little clips of videos. I love using this app. It is very user friendly!

Music won't work. Music won't work even if it is downloaded to my phone. If you can get that working the app would be amazing and then will get 5 stars from me.

Purchased if not fixed I'll have to take a refund ... The videos quality goes down after downloading and there isn't an option to fit it into "sqaure mode" so when I upload it to Instagram it doesn't zoom in (please fix)

Two suggested fixes. This is my kinda app! It's so easy and the finished product makes it look like I spent hours on it, and I didn't! I love that! However, I would LOVE to be able to use a wider angle of my videos, instead of the small rectangle provided. And WE NEED LONGER VIDEO OPTIONS! I vote for at least 5 minutes. Will this be an option soon??

Great App. I love this app because my videos look like I've spent hours editing them! I only wish you could change speeds of the clips, like speed them up, slow them down, etc

Amount of videos. I'm not sure if I'm the only one that has this problem, but for some reason the app doesn't let me access all of my videos. There's only a certain amount available to which I can use. And I actually bought the app as well. Besides this one problem I'm in love with this app! Someone help me figure out my video problem though

Very annoying. Not happy. It has the right idea but….1. Crashes when saving and need to start ALLLLL OVER. I purchased the upgrade for a variety of reasons and the add music part doesn't work with any features. I would NOT download this app or purchase any upgrades until they do an update.

SO GREAT! Yet to many bugs.... This is such an amazing app but it crashes and doesn't load all your videos up.. :( and you should allow longer videos up to 5 or 10 minutes!!

Simple fun app. Awesome app. Makes it super simple to add music and add multiple clips and trim your clips. Cutting is simple and adding music is the easiest of all the apps I have tried. Great job guys thanks!

Very well done. This app is really great and comes with a lot of editing software so you can make your videos awesome and cool and awesome and cool only downside is that you have to buy the full version if you want to do a lot with that but otherwise it's great

Cool UI, but sadly restrictive. I like the ease of use that the UI affords you, some really cool filters as well, but the limitation of clip length made me immediately delete this app from my iphone. I'd rather have the option to choose how "short" or "long" each clip length is - NOT be forced to have a tiny clip for each new piece of video I add. One last major complaint - why be "forced" to have canned music for your videos? What if we don't want music at all? Remove this restriction and 5 stars.

This is not a video editor. If you want your videos clipped to short "vine" like bites then this may be for you. I was expecting to be able to edit video, not be forced to move around tiny bits of my video. Useless for any real editing. I give it two stars as I am sure this is useful for muppets who like black & White snippets of video.

Clippers is fun.. Fun app but wish the video screen Clippers use could rotate to a portrait view instead of always landscape. Sometimes it would be nice to have more of the video show in a portrait way.

nah.... I guess it was okay, well what I hate about it is that the clip has a very short time limit. For some reason when I tap the play button it doesn't play at all and when I put the music in it only shows a black screen with the selected music playing.

New Songs update. Please for this next update put some different music. I like OCT/13/14 update it's great because you don't need to put the same music. Thank you for reading this review

Clipper. I am very upset with this app. It keeps crashing before i can save my video to camera roll and so i deleted the app an got it back..I had paid for my own music to be available to use on the app and now its saying i have not paid for it So it wont let me use my own music. Its also continuing to crash.

So disappointing.. One star. Why? Because I was expecting more. First of all, why would you force us to put music in the background? It's stupid. Then, this app would be better if you could make videos full length, not 15 seconds. I don't want an editor for Instagram. I want just and editor. For me. And why do they have to have that format? I mean, the shape (sorry if I make some mistakes, English is not my first language). Maybe I would like to make videos 1:1, or let them just the way they are: horizontal, vertical... I think that's all. If you could solve this three problems, your app will be perfect. And I would rate it with 5 stars without hesitation. I hope you to read this. Thank you.

Don't pay for it. I just upgraded so I could use my own music. That aspect doesn't work! I decided to close the App and try again but I had to remake my video because there is no way to save a work in progress. It didn't work again. What did I upgrade for?

Pretty good.. Wish there were a few details to make the videos easier to edit. Especially when adding music, if you were able to "nudge" between seconds of the song it would make choosing a starting point easier, also if you could choose the length of the song.

Poor app. This app has lots of potential. It has no way to change or remove transitions between clips, 99% of the time it won't save to camera roll and if you quit the app it does not remember the last video you were working on and you have to start over. I like the way it's setup but it needs a bit of work. I upgraded to Pro and didn't get anything good for the $4.99 I paid

Love it. I had the free app and liked it so I decided to buy the $2.99 version and I love it. I can add my own music and being able to cut clips is amazing. I mainly use it for making mini slideshows of vacations and they come out great. I think the $2.99 is worth it because you can add your own music and get rid of the watermark.

Very underwhelmed, and it left a watermark. Very underwhelmed with this app. Made 1 video then deleted it. My main disappointment is that the app adds a watermark to he video. This may not be the case in the paid version but I don't pay for an app unless I know I love it. The editing was easy to use but very limited. The max duration for clips is very short. Also you can't change the video transition effects between clips, it just goes with the default fade. Music to select from was hokey and limited. I assumed if I didn't pick one it wouldn't have sound, but it went with the default... Then I had cheesy music to my watermarked video. Overall, very underwhelmed

TERRIBLE APP! Throw $1 in the trash instead. Good idea for an app, terrible execution. As far as I can tell there is NO way yo change the length of the video clips and there is NO way to make a video without their stupid music playing instead of the actual sound from the video! This dumb app only lets you use like 3 seconds from each video you choose, and I can't see a way to alter that. What the heck is the point of a video editor if you have NO editing control?! Waste of money. Thanks a lot Gizmodo! Never again will I trust those idiots...

Great except for forcing us to use music. That's great that the app has the ability to add music to the video - but why would they force us to use music? It cuts over any sound in the video with the music. Just give us the option to use the videos current sound. Seems like an easy fix for the next upgrade.

Efficient. It works well for putting together videos that I need. It would be great if eventually the app was able to generate a larger squared section of the video clips selected.

I love it but. It is a great app but it needs a adjusting selection if your videos were recorded side ways and an option to shrink the videos to fit in the box and we should be able to use more than 20 clips

Great if it wouldn't crash phone. The app does cool things with a little bit of editing of your own. But every time I edited multiple clips my phone would either just shut off or freeze forcing me to do a hard shut down. Needs to work out the kinks.

Has so much potential but fails. This editor has the potential to be great but many changes must be made. 1. The forced landscape style dramatically crops your videos if you took video in portrait style. 2. You are forced to use really short segments and are only allowed to make them shorter, but not longer than 3-4 seconds. 3. If you do not pay to upgrade you must choose from background music from their short list of options. 4. You are forced to use background music, there is no option to skip it. 5. I haven't paid for pro but I've read that even though you are allowed to upload your own music, it does not allow you to select desired audio segments. That's annoying because most songs have longer interludes 😒. Please fix all of the above and this app will be the $2.99 purchase.

Needs improvement. Just started using it, so far pretty easy to use. Wish it would include a timer to see time elapsed for entire video.

Easy to use. The free app is easy to use for basic video joining and making quick short videos. Will try some of the add on purchasable features and write another review. Would recommend this app.

Almost perfect. I like it, I like it, l love it. My only gripe is that you can't center your clips left or right. You can move them up or down but that's it. What if you want what's happening on the left side of one clip and the right side of the next clip? You're screwed...or something gets overly CLIPPED. #punintended

Great and easy video editing!!. I love this app! It makes editing easy for someone who is helpless at technology. I love the different filters! I do wish it had more song options, but it does let you put in songs from your iTunes.

So dumb!! 😒😒. I downloaded this to upload my snapchats to Instagram so I'm fine with the 15 second time limit. But!!! If this is for Instagram why would the video be edited in landscape? It makes no sense, and I also hate the fact that you have to put music on the video I wanted to use my audio. I literally just downloaded this app and I am deleting it right after I finish this review. 5 thumbs down 😒 10 min UPDATE: I found another app called replay white icon red 'R' on it it allows you to use your own audio or their music wayyy better option.

Nice all but needs more options. Tried the free version and liked it but wanted to use my own music and was happy to see that was an option if I upgraded. I upgraded and after using the app a few times I realized there's only 1 transition style. Please add the option to customize the transition you want. The fade out fade in shouldn't be the only 1. What if I don't like that for all the vids I want to make?

Not worthy to pay. The free version might be ok. But then when you pay and you spend more than 30 minutes trying several times to make your video and it is ready and once you want to save it, it just dissapear, is not worthy. Before it was working really nice, now I could only do a 5 secs video with my own music, to publish it on instagram. Is all This app aloud me to do.. I hope this cam be fixed.

Love!. I love this app! It's so helpful for advertising my long videos by making clips of them. This app is awesome and would definitely recommend it over any video clipper.

The great movie maker. I just got this app just a few seconds ago and I am already impressed with it! This is one of the apps I will be constantly using for my video making on IG! It's that great! Need to video tape more so I can play with this app. Absolutely a must have app. Very easy to use. I paid to upgrade $1.99 do it didnt have that watermark. Highly recommend it. Now to go play some more

Love it! Works great. Did a quick search for an editing app to add music to my videos. This is the first one, paid for the extra items and it works great! No complaints.

This app is amazing but.... I absolutely love this app. Its just what i was looking for. The only thing is that i wish it had more music choices, the forced cropping of the video is kinda frustrating but it makes for a better looking video. 😊 i still love this app tho
