Annoying app update user experience. Updating app logs me out and requires 2-factor authentication to get back in. Very annoying! This wasn’t the case in earlier versions of the app and this level of security is overkill for my usage.

Miss. I have been using this app for years now and it is fantastic to keep me on track

Collaboration king!. At eveXso we have offices in Australia and India, we recently started using quip to manage the communication and documentation between all members of the team for both development and implementation. I particularly like chatting and making comments in terms of the document you are working on. Scrolling through email responses is a thing of the past Having access on my mac, phone and iPad has been so useful. What would be great to extend this to be even more useful would be the ability to have "temporary" users. These are client users who would be given access through the implementation process to certain sections or documents. Great app

Good idea bad mobile app. Love the desktop app. Downloaded the mobile app but it won't let me use it unless i log in to Google. FAIL.

Great for developing your thoughts, and group work. I really like this app. I've got several documents I am developing easily on the go, and I am also using it to reflect on knowledge I am acquiring, so I don't forget things . Some of these docs I share with my project partner, so we can work together. I can see that it would be great for Uni students to develop assignments on the go, and to engage in group work. Its so simple to use, and works flawlessly to develop your written ideas.

Pocket power. Smart little app which works great on mobile and the desktop. The collaboration model makes sense. Stop emailing documents and start using Quip.

Couldn't operate without it.. .

Web Based Word Processor. I was asked to write a review having only used the app for a very short while. It is useful as a scribble pad on the run. I'm yet to explore storing lots of documents. So Far so good.

Best notes app. It has everything that you want for personal or professional use

Doesn’t sync correctly and takes up too much storage. iPhone app ends up taking up a lot of storage even if you don’t use much. And even when you use it, the docs don’t sync so well. It’s alright if you just want to view a document but don’t rely on it to work on mobile

Fantastic!. Such a great App to collaborate on, especially when working with people who are in different locations. My team and I were able to work on our own devices formulating ideas and a plan for a promo clip we are sending to the heads of our company. It's been fantastic! And as a trainer, this would work so well with students.

Desktop App Crashes Incessantly. I like using quip but my preference is to use the desktop app as it has more features than the web app but it crashes constantly. I haven’t been able to use it for over a month despite deleting and re-installing it because as soon as it opens it crashes (Microsoft operating system)

Really like it. I'm just after an app that can sync my tasks between all my devices. Works perfectly. Another excellent feature is that multiple people can be working on a doc at one time an see the changes the others are making. Fabulous.

Great app for note taking and collaboration. I've just started using this coming across from Evernote and I really like it. Lightweight, easy to use. I particularly like being able to embed spreadsheets in my docs if I just need to crunch a couple of numbers.

THE BEST. Quip is my favourite collaboration tool because it just works. All the stuff you don't need just gets out of the way and you are left with a simple interface that anyone can use. Just what I am after. Been using it for months and we couldn't work as a team without it now!

Love it. Anything that keeps both myself and my staff organised is worth a five star rating. Love it. Easy to use, each staff member knows what the other staff have already ticked off, so no doubling up, plus everything is "printable" if you like paper better!!

Simplicity is a simple thing. Wow, impressive, easy, organised. So many programs make it hard for the common bloke with over complicated control and thought. This is sensational and rational thinking has been used putting it together.

Download-Login Issue. Have installed the app twice (after deleting it) and tried numerous login attempts. Extremely frustrating. Might be a great app if you can actually get logged in. Not a good customer experience so far......

Very impressed. As a uni student, I've been using this to edit assignments on the go. So happy that I can create a presentable looking document without questionable formatting! Also love that chat is included for group work collaboration, and integration with google drive. Just saved me $$$ from paying for a Microsoft office subscription. Well done! :)

Good app but unstable. I wanted to report the following bugs, unfortunately there is no “report bug” feature: 1. On big documents, searching the doc with the “find in document” feature crashes the application 2. On big docs: scrolling too fast crashes the application. New feature suggestion: Reading big documents on mobile is frustrating as the app doesn’t save where you left and every time you open the app you have to scroll from the beginning (=> very frustrating with big docs that keep on crashing the app on top of it) Other than that quip is a great application and I greatly enjoy reading and writing docs on it. I’ll happily update my review to 5* when those bugs are fixed.

Very nice. Interesting feature set and I can see a range of possibilities to exploit them. I would like to see true monospace fonts and some other formatting options to better fit my workflows.

Great collaboration app. The app is great for group or team collaboration. We've produced a complex doc with 7 contributors with no version issues and overall a seamless process.

Replaced Evernote as my go to app. Evernote now gets the scraps/clippings while Quip takes care of all my business word processing and collaboration needs. Quip's an easy to use, functional and beautiful app that's truly a must have for all you mobile word processing needs.

Lists for household. My wife is always writing lists on paper. When we moved house, I got her onto Quip and we’ve never looked back. It’s so handy for both of us to have access in real-time to various lists and it makes it so much easier for me to be on the same page with everything my wife is organising or coordinating at home. Great app! Btw...my wife is the best!!!

A great tool. This helps our family so much! It would be perfect if it was easier to figure out which email address your account is attached to.

Keeps crashing?. Was working fine but now keeps crashing each time I open it??

Much better than Word. Quip is a truely innovative approach to multi-team collaboration. Having spent years in a Microsoft bubble, Quip is a breath of fresh air!

Great app for group communications!. I have started using quip as my primary group communication platform for sharing information, updating progress report, drafting manuscript, and an alternative of email for instant (or near instant) messaging. Thanks for Quip's cross platform support, it is not too difficult to invite new group members into the Quip circle. Also, the new commenting feature with attachment support is highly useful and enables more possibilities for communication. I give Quip 5-Star rating without hesitation. A better integration of Quip with to-do list and Calendar apps would be much helpful for more efficient meeting organisation and group management.

Where's my documents. I gave been using Quip for about 6 months and was happy with it. I use it to copy recipes that I find on FaceBook. Since I loaded the update this morning everything I had has disappeared. Please tell me how to find everything :-(

Easy to use and useful. This is a great app for keeping data across devices and collaborating with others. It's a simple, uncluttered text editor with chat.

Nice, though a bit faulty. Working well in general though it's not clear when and how a review is submitted. Also, selecting one item on the Desktop (e.g. Examples folder) opens the one next to it (e.g. Archive folder). This way the first document is duplicated, so that the first item can be opened. Some nods weird? Have a look, but clearly a bug.

Great. Get it

Excellent. Great word processor, abundant with features, but there doesn't appear to be a way to edit/resize photos that you've inserted into a document. Other than that, it's awesome!

It can not open. Quip can not open today? It quit so frequently …

Notifications. I don’t receive the notification although they are turned on everywhere....?

Excellent app but obvious improvements needed. e.g. formatting options toolbar. The app seems to have stagnated over time.

Not at feature parity with desktop website. Not all features in the desktop website are available in the app (e.g. “Add to other folders” instead of moving a document), but attempting to access the website on mobile redirects to the app! Also, the only online help available describes how to do things in the desktop website; there is no help for the app

Total garbage. Glacially slow. Crashes constantly. Lacking core features.. On the latest iPhone Pro Max, the app is terribly slow, crashes constantly, and doesn’t have feature parity. It’s unusable. Search is a dumpster fire inside of a train wreck. What a heap of unmaintained trash.

Nailed it!. Love the app, makes me super productive.

Really good. I use it with my boyfriend for lists to do and groceries for the house, that way we always know in real time if one of us got something, no doubles!

DOWNLOAD THIS NOW!. I’m not exaggerating. You saved my life. When my friend didn’t do her part of the class project, our chat history proved it. When we couldn’t contact each other to finish a poster, we used quip. When she moved to another country, we chatted using quip. I plan out my novel using this app, actually write it using this app, and finish all my projects with this app. I really recommend it. Promising needs a couple of things. Just downloaded this - there are some great features, and the interface is clean and easy to use on my IPad. However the biggest feature lacking is the ability to import Word or Pages documents - once this is available, this will be a great word processor.

Best tool ever!. Since I came across quip I don't use anything else. All my documents are in one place. Quip is the way to go!

Awesome. I have maybe written 2 reviews on the AppStore ever but this app really deserves a review. I use Quip everyday and it is my defacto "go-to" for everything from note taking, cataloging my life, making spreadsheet, you name it. The absolute pros for me are: - Markdown like syntax only, i.e. no fussing around with rich formatting, only the strict essentials for well organized text (3 title headings, quotations, bullet point lists, checkboxes, paragraph, code, and some others). Simple. - Export options in multiple types like doc and PDF. Awesome. - Incredible performance. On the Web, on my Mac, or on my iPhone, I can always have my Quip content at the tip of my fingertips all synced up and ready to go on whatever platform. If I recall correctly, the core logic is written in C++ = solid apps. I tried all sorts of different solutions: Apple Notes, Evernote, and a bunch of other random ones but they all pale in comparison. Think Evernote on steroids with a spreadsheet machine gun.

Easy and collaborative. Jumping between devices is super easy. Also like the option of picking who I share with both in and outside my company or even public links!

Nice collaborative word processor. I think it is great little tool. It is still a long way from replacing MS word though.

Ahhhhhhh. I went camping and had no internet to load it. Now i am home and have wi fi and it wont let me in the app. I have a lot of important lists and things on that app! Please fix it really fast! I need it!:)

A most useful tool!. This has been one of my most useful tools, on both the PC and my cell phone. It’s where I can dump and then later find everything and anything. I wished the spreadsheets had easier one click addition, or better guidance on simple math formulas handy, but otherwise I can complain. Great for collaboration. I’ve tried nearly everything out there and this is one of the few I stay with, while still using another tool for project management.

Reply from lock screen. Please add the ability to reply to a message from the lock screen. Also, why does the mobile notification show up what feels like 30 seconds before the desktop notification?

Crashing. Unreliable. Loading pages crashes it on ipad

not user friendly design. Quip would be amazing if the interface is designed to be more user friendly. The project management tracker is a great tool to use but super annoying when you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the task list before you can scroll to the right to see the remaining information for a particular row. There’s also a big awkward white space on the left when you first open the Quip page. I don’t understand why there’s no option to autofit content to window.

Newest version crashes regularly. I can’t open quip anymore without it crashing multiple times. Doesn’t matter what document I’m looking at - the app will freeze, go black and then restart on the updates page. Fix it please! Really impacting productivity

Bye bye Evernote. When Evernote announced its unconscionable bait & switch policy, I decided to look for alternatives. So far, it looks like Quip may very well be that program. Syncing works well, there is lots of flexibility and it imported all my old Evernote files flawlessly. A few suggestions- provide a password lock and beef up the formatting options. Otherwise, well done! The paragraph above was my initial review of Quip. I have been using it now, daily, for several months and my review has not changed. Quip is an excellent, flawless and very useful app. I'm still waiting for the password lock and expanded formatting options though!

The app crashes. App crashes within the first 30 seconds of opening. I don’t even click on anything. So frustrating! It recently started.

My favorite app to take notes for home and work use. I love Quip with all it’s suite of apps for work and how all they integrate well with each other. Linking people and docs is so convenient. I love the fact that the service is continuously improving and I get new updates once or twice a month. Yes, the search is not instant like we got used to with Google, the app becomes slow or occasionally hangs, but the benefits outweigh all the drawbacks. For over a decade I have used so many tools from Evernote to MS OneNote, to Asana, but Quip’s UX is the best. I hope they keep their current velocity for shipping new features and keep focusing on improving the user experience.

Terrible!. Whatever change you just did making people sign up for an account has made me lose all my lists! What a loss! Don’t waste your time with this app, it was great until they lost everything!

App instantly crashes after opening. The new update leads to the app instantly crashing making it unusable. Have tried restarting the phone and uninstalling.

Revert to previous version pls. Lastest update has destroyed the usefulness of this app. Impossible to find our previous setup group chat! If this is what you want to e documents and other items work great. If you use this for group meetings, communication, find an alternative until this fixed, we are! ☹️

It's a piece of crap. The app is incredibly buggy. I try to edit my document and red text appears saying "The changes are not being saved." Then when I backspace, it deletes the entire line (a change which it apparently is able to save)!

Mobile notifications settings ignored. “Don’t send notifications” setting for mobile notifications is completely ignored.

Amazing App. I use it work everything. Helps to keep you organized and marking off tasks that are completed. Also like that it shows every edit made.

Keyboard and trackpad navigation unfriendly. Editing on this app is a huge pain, shortcuts that’s supported by iPad’s basic text editing is not working (perhaps blocked?) and trackpad support is tragic.

Makes my phone unresponsive. Every time I open a Quip URL in Safari and the app opens, my phone becomes unresponsive. In addition, when viewing large tables, the app makes my iPhone 8 go bust to the point of a force reboot.
