Fun but could use definitions feature. fun word game even for adults. I’ve had it for 1-2 weeks and already recommended it to 4 friends My only wish is the app had actual definitions of the words during Review.

Ads disrupts quizzes but I upgraded.. I really love this app but I can’t even take quizzes. The screen begin to flash repeatedly that I fail to answer a question. This only happens when I’m thinking. I would love to buy a remove ad version but all I see is purchase to unlock levels. Please put an option to remove ads upgrade. For now I’ll patiently wait, and hopefully I’ll be able to make use of this wonderful app. Thanks! I’ll change review later. EDIT: took my chances and upgraded. No more ads. I’m now very happy. It does need an update for iPhone X though. Changed to five starts since i have upgraded and love it even more.

An interesting, if limited, experience. Once I got past the free, clunky version, I enjoyed playing through the levels, which I did in short order. I was disappointed to learn that I had to clear my past scores if I wanted to go back through the levels to improve. This is not going to be an app that I use long term because I did quite well even the first time through. However, I am looking forward to mastering these 1,000 words.

💕 it. As a lawyer I am constantly wanting to increase my vocabulary and understanding of words. Not only for pleadings but also for those scrabble game nights or other variants of the game which I enjoy. This app provides levels (yeay), it provides a review function (love to assess), it provides a repeat function (I want to do it until I get those evasive words and meanings right), it creatively provides 4 different styles to play making it fun and exciting.... just love this app. I have no problems with ads !!!!

Challenging - A Good Thing. I have a love/hate relationship with this app. I love learning and getting things right. But I hate making stupid mistakes. I seem to have a mental block against remembering the meaning of certain words, and this game uncovers that idiosyncrasy every time. Even so, I will play this game at every chance, because it’s fun, and it’s good for me. Nice job!

Fun English!. It has multiple ways of teaching you vocabulary: four games in one. Very fun, challenging, and educational. More levels, please! I just completed all 10 levels. Looking forward to starting over at level 1 (it will still be fun), but more is of course better. 🙂

Death by ads. I really enjoyed the game until ads started popping in the MIDDLE of gameplay. This makes it impossible to answer effectively and glitches the game like crazy. And I’m talking 4-5 ads in a 30 sec game which ends up giving you 10 seconds of playtime. This ruined a great learning app. The game itself seems like a wonderful way to expand your vocabulary and to cement understanding of some words but the way the ads are set up completely kill it. It’s something that has been noted in review after review. So hopefully they do something about it.

Fun but very buggy still. I haven’t checked but I’m assuming this is a somewhat new app. I like the game. It’s fun and educational as well. However, randomly during a quiz, a video player will appear and attempt to play a video, then close, then reappear, then close, and even if I try to click on the answer during this weird screen flashing behavior, I can’t, it won’t accept any screen input. And then at times it just plain old crashes. But once they fix those bugs, it’ll be great!!

Great app. I love words. I learned to speak Spanish when I first went to live in Mexico 35 years ago. Learning another language truly changes ones perspective on life. But most of us don’t even know how to speak or write in our own language. If one uses a word such as ‘imperious’ in conversation, one gets the deer in the headlights look. I love to read novels and travel stories from the 1800s in order to keep up my vocabulary. Thanks to games like this one, there is another way to challenge oneself. Keep up the good work. I like the way words that are answered incorrectly are repeated so that they begin to stick. Perhaps you could do a punctuation game. People could relearn about periods at the ends of sentences! I do have a problem with the game freezing. It stays frozen for several days. To whom is a problem like this reported? CKR

Love it, but.... It’s a fun way to extend vocabulary, however it lacks an important feature. If you get interrupted in the middle of a game and cannot take time to look for a pause button, it just finishes the game without you and gives you a low score accordingly. If there’s no player input at all, then it would be nice if it would automatically pause or cancel the round.

A Refreshing Change. This is a fun and quick app for the young looking to improve their vocabulary, the older folks wanting a little grey matter stimulus or just about anyone tired of the same old inane matching games. I've only been playing a few days so I've not given the noteworthy five star rating but that may change in time. Definitely worth spending two dollars on the old brain. Upgraded my rating to five stars because it's truly worth it. Excellent way to spend a few hours rather than the usual cheap cartoon based inane drivel that most apps consist of. Enough said.

MindMatters. Highly recommend because I love, Love, LOVE this game! It is challenging, fun, and stimulates the brain. It is a valuable learning game and worth the time you put into it. I would like to hear the words articulated in sound to enhance the learning experience. In the meantime, I think this app is hands down better than most games!

Addictive Educational Fun. This is just fun for me. I've always been proud of my command of the language, and this is quite well done. Enough variety to not get boring, and not so challenging as to be discouraging. As I approach 70, I try to find games that keep me thinking in different ways hoping to keep my cognitive skills as sharp as possible. Well, worth the price.

Plus. Definitely a major plus for those seeking, remembering, beat the different categories. As surprised as I find some words that not necessarily I identify as a match, come to find out these alternatives have their merit on the long and arduous task of improving, let alone mastering for that would take a long season, different words, spellings and definitions. Kind of like a fast training to awaken the senses involved. Like it. 4.5 Stars!

Developers Must Fix!. This is a great game. My 10 year old son and I have been playing it together and learning new words. It’s super fun. Today while playing, ads started popping up constantly during the game play which distracted me and the timer was still counting. I lost a few because of the ads. Then when I got an answer right it counted it as wrong. All other games I play have ads between levels or offer something in return of watching one. Perhaps the developers will adopt this instead of annoying their players.

Amazing App to improve English vocabulary. Really loved the trial version of the App so I paid the $1.99 to get the full version. Totally worth it. It challenges you very hard as you go past level 2. The UI and UX both are perfect for this App. Few suggestions - 1. Offer an option to reuse previous words which user got it wrong. That offers the flexibility to the user to raise the level of challenge to be tested with unique words. 2. Under review section, when I hit the 'Speak' button nothing happens. This is a bug and needs to be fixed. 3. The App should offer to speak the word during the quiz, spoken words motivate better and appeal better to the user's senses.

Needs some changes. This game is great for challenged people, but not for people who are just getting started. I give this app 3 ⭐️ because this game has words you have never even herd of. I wanted to download this app because it looked easy. I would change it to have easy, medium, and a hard mode with not word not anyone has not known yet.I kinda want to suggest this app beacuse it might help you with meanings

Ads shut down app midgame. I really want to love this game, but it’s impossible to play it most of the time. Video ads will shut down or freeze my app mid level. I will try to reopen and replay the level three or four times but more often than not I end up giving up, especially since progress is lost. I completely understand the need for ads in a game and will withstand quite a bit of annoyance for a game a really like, but I hope developers can fix whatever is causing this crash. That being said, the games are fun and the vocabulary starts off at a good tier of difficulty (in my opinion), rather than having to wade through level after level of low level vocabulary words. I’m a sucker for word games and this is right up my alley; simultaneously fun and a tool for finding and learning new information.

Great for those with memory issues!. I am a woman in her 50’s with aphasia. I have found this app helps keep my mind sharp. My ability to name thing quickly has improved. I have just started using the app but I am hopeful that I will continue to see improvement in my day-to-day ability to name thing which should be familiar to me.

Mr. F. I feel that the app is helping to improve my Vocabulary. I like that you can check your responses after each round. It also provides the pronunciation and definitions of all words . I think the only thing missing is the origin /etymology of the words. Of course, these can be found on the MW website. One thing I find surprising is there doesn’t seem to be much difference from level 3 to level 9. I am just getting to level 10 now. I feel like I know the same percentage of words at each level

Great app for nerds like me. Love this app. Used to play the games on the dictionary app so great to see it expanded into its own app. Variety of quiz styles is great. I had a few thoughts as I played the game. Not complaints but suggestions from the user: Allow user to hear the word pronounced during the quizzes. Currently can only hear pronunciation until after quiz by reviewing answers In reviewing answers section, consider making the correct answer the bold red text and incorrect answer in light gray. Currently it’s reversed. Better to have correct answer stand out.

Vocabulary Building. I really enjoy this app a lot and I actually gave it5 stars. I rarely do.I find I’m learnings lot of new words and relearning old ones,too. It’s worth the stipend to not see ads. Great, wish it tracked cumulative stats. Great way to test one’s vocabulary and pick up some new words along the way. Percentile scores are given for each quiz individually.. I wish there was a cumulative ranking to track progress with. Also, wish there was a module that included the words from all 10 modules.

Simple, but a great app. I’m a lover of word games, but I don’t often enjoy playing with/against others; solitary apps are more my jam. This game doesn’t have fancy graphics or (often unnecessary, imo) storylines but it has engaging games that you can play, alone, in moments and helps increase vocabulary and word usage at the same time. A single purchase of $1.99 to unlock all 10 levels (first two are free) AND remove ads makes this my favorite new download in at least a year. Suggestion: add optional sound/pronunciation

Very interesting game!!. I was surprised at how fast time Went by playing this game!! You don't realize how many words you actually know the meanings to and the many words you've never even heard of...I would recommend this game to anyone that wants to broaden their knowledge and enjoy doing it!!!

ZiggyRobert4. As usual, the only complaint I have is there aren't enough of quizzes and exercises. Or maybe I'm just not looking where I should. A new quiz or new quizzes daily would be great. Something with a frequency that would really build and maintain a vocabulary. I love words, and the wait for new quizzes becomes rather tedious.

Very interesting and addictive. I love this game, it's very educational and addictive. Since I downloaded this game on my phone and tablet I have not been able to play another game on either of those devices. The only con about this game is it freezes sometimes. That's the only problem I had but besides that this game is absolutely interesting.

Great vocabulary!!!!!. This game is amazing! Quizzitive helps you learn new words, especially long ones! I’m very good at memorizing things, like my mistakes! My mom wanted me to get this app so I could learn more vocabulary so when I went to high school (Next Year!) I wouldn’t be behind. I love this game! Addictive. Quizzitive is an engaging app. It is fun as well as educational. The range of games within the app test both speed and aptitude which makes it both challenging as well as versatile. It is great for passing the time as well as staying sharp. A great game for all ages. I highly recommend to anyone who has a little time to kill and especially to commuters.

Enjoyed. The games themselves were fun and certainly gives a different way to learn words. Apparently you can go through the first 2 levels for free (with ads). Considering I knew a large number of them already, I felt this might have been a time-waster. Even if you pay, there are a total of 10 levels. While that’s 1000 words, if words are your thing, I’m not sure how long it would take to finish it.

Entertaining. I'm enjoying this app - it's a great way to pass the time while waiting for something, whether for a bus, an appointment, or for the coffee to brew. I also like it, I confess, because I've gotten to levels 7 & 8 where I'm finally getting introduced to words I've never run across before. With a score after each quiz it provides lots of feedback to keep the player motivated to continue.

Quizzitive. I love this! My favorite has been “7 little words” until now. This game is challenging enough through the first time, but I want a higher score! Play it again and the game compares your new score to the previous score. Want to start over? Reset the scores on the home page. I do wish they had a version 2, 3, and so on to further stretch the vocabulary. It’s definitely worth the money if you want to exercise the gray matter.

You are judged by the words you use. Vocabulary was not my best subject in school. Besides the Merriam Webster Dictionary, one App I use almost every day, Quizzitive is a very entertaining way to learn new words. I would recommend this App to anyone who wants to improve their comprehension of words so as to improve your writing or verbal skills.

Are you kidding?!. I am happy to say that I have an above average vocabulary and am a proud owner of a master's in science. But I'm definitely too stupid for this. Even as a group, we cannot make any progress. The very first word was twelve letters and something I'd never seen before, and I'm an avid reader. You can't learn anything if you are desperately scrambling to figure out a Latin word in fifteen seconds. Well, all it took was fifteen seconds for me to realize this is not an app for learning. It's an app that feels like taking the SAT's only with a few seconds to guess. Good luck to all who attempt this. You'll need it.

promising but very buggy. This is a well considered app with poor implementation. Full-screen ads interrupt mid game but the timer still runs in the background--this is in addition to footer ads. In poor network conditions, this becomes even worse with black screens because the ads fail to load. The yes/no game mode often improperly shows previous words already answered and doesn't unhide the word to guess. Overall, the app feels like an ad display app with occasional word-based gameplay that accidentally works once in a while.

Game Center banners.. I only just started playing the game. The constant Game Center banners, telling me I got 7 in a row or ten in a row on the speed tests as I go, are incredibly distracting. I left the game to make sure that I had banners turned off for my Game Center notifications. But when I went back to the game they still dropped down. I went back and turned Game Center notifications completely off, quit and restarted the game, and they still dropped down. I don't understand why it needs to do that while I'm playing when it has the option to see achievements at the end of each round. Very annoying when I'm trying to do things speedily.

Good but could be better if.... This is a pretty good game, but it doesn’t keep cumulative data so you know which words need work. For example, if I miss a word twice in a round bit ultimately get it, it shows it as a “completed word,” even though I need to cycle back to them for reinforcement. Also, it would be better if it used different ways to reinforce the word instead of four quizzes that are basically the same. But it’s definitely comprehensive, and it has the right 1000 words.

An app for literate people. Nice to find an app that is not so much a game, but a great way for people who love words to have fun. A serious challenge for anyone who thinks they have a good vocabulary, wants to build one (words repeat) and wants to learn answers to “what IS that?” Refreshing to find an app that challenges the mind and rewards readers.

Free Version’s Terrible; Paid Version’s Great!. The free version of this app is god-awful. Ads interrupt the play while the clock continues to tick down on your timed games. But if you click on the “INFO” button on the free app’s home screen, you’ll see something that allows you to upgrade to the paid, ad-free version. Do it! If you like words, you won’t regret it. It turns a worthless app into a gem. I play all the time.

Game was fun UNTIL../. I paid 1.99$ and got to level six, hidden letters, on the word effusive and game will not get past this word. I guess it correctly, it does not move forward, Countdown keeps clicking down, at zero it just sits on that page doing nothing. I have closed app several times and started over with same exact result with the same word. I cannot move forward with the game therefore I would like my $1.99 back.

Deeply wrapped in information and knowledge. This app of quizzes in English Vocabulary is the best app so far in my collection of languages and applications of different languages. I want more contents within this application to increase my vocabulary in English. This app is mostly useful for students want to learn college subjects in English and want to earn a degree in college and university. Thanks for uploading this app.

Almost perfect. This is such a better use of my time compared to some tedious match the balls and rescue some fake animals game. So that being said, I wish that you could hear the word being pronounced and I also wish that there was a feature like you find on a Kindle where you can get a proper in depth definition of a word coupled with its use in a sentence, especially considering the fact that this is a Webster game!! When I purchased this game I assumed that "sound" was at least going to allow me to hear the word. I was wrong. Still, for what it is, $2 is a fair price.

For all the true “Wordies” out there.. You know who you are. Keeping the dictionary nearby when you read; making lists to check later that include title and page number so you can go back and see the word in context; challenging opponents in Words With Friends. This is a game for YOU. Enjoy testing your knowledge.

Mind exercise. I am a retired person trying to keep my mind sharp and occupied. The exercises on this app is very helpful in making you think faster as well as for learning a new word. The exercises have been structured in a very logical and coherent fashion. I would recommend anyone to try it out irrespective of their age or knowledge.

I’m able to use my brain w/this-it shakes it up!. I’ve gotten semi-hooked on word games but this is my favorite right now because it has enough variety and challenges to it that it doesn’t bore me. Also there’s more questions than a measly three or four like so many have.

Spot-on perfect. I reach for this app whenever I have a free moment, or even when I don’t, and I am sure it is not time wasted. It is a pity that the vocabulary used currently by a decisive majority of youth seems to have been shrinking and replaced by phrases like, you know what I’m saying? I am highly allergic to any such phrases, and i hope I am not the only one.

This app is pretty neato. I really enjoy using this app. It's good review for words I know already, and a good introduction to words I haven't seen before. This app is near perfection, barring a few bugs (sometimes Tunnel View goes through the first possible meaning again after moving to the second possible meaning), it has meaningful and interesting games, and words to pair. This is a quality app with so much to offer.

Great and fun way to learn!. I learnt some words from this app and the difficulty level really makes me addictive to this game which is great for learning . I like the second one best because you can only access to one word at a time and in that way you cannot guess. Recommending it to English as a second language learners .

Challenging, but not enough of it!. This is a well structured game with four ways of prompting and defining words. But as far as I can see, once you have completed all the levels, the game is over. I would like to see more levels available, because the reinforcement technique for learning new words is excellent.

Fun, & Speed is the Challenge. Enjoyable, but am not a fan of multiple choice which is a very USA way of quizzing. It means the answers are almost always too simplistic, so that sometimes it is difficult to agree with them. Still, it is fun, and one enjoys having to give rapid answers.

GOOD FAST WAY TO BRAIN TRAIN. I love this App because it is a very quick way to do some brain training that is simple to use and, to make sure you're always challenging yourself to do better, has several levels of 'difficulty'. I've only been using it a couple of weeks and so far it hasn't crashed or shown any bugs, so I can't see any negatives about using the App. I recommend it to people who love brain training or testing their vocabulary or memory and, in particular, to those who don't have much time to spare so can't play other lengthier and more complex Games Apps.

Akwas. An excellent extension of the dictionary, to assist you and teach you by quizzing you, to improve your vocabulary.

Quizative. Great for testing my word knowledge.

Best vocab game. Just the right level of difficulty(words not too obscure) Especially like picture quiz.

New levels!. Rewarding if you already know or recognise most of the words. Would be better to retest more than once incorrect answers within level to make it stick. And to add lengthier definition, including etymology, of words when reviewing.

Good fun. Fun game for reinforcing one's less used vocabulary. Would be better if it had the option to replay levels without re-starting from the beginning. Otherwise good gameplay - I would recommend this game.

Must be accurate and precise. An amazing app! This vocab app gives you 1000 words to learn for a cheap price of $3! Fun and interactive, and I highly recommend this application.

Excellent. First 2 levels are free in this game and it’s worth paying the extra couple of dollars for the next 8 levels. Of the 4 quiz types, the most useful is “Name the Thing”. English has some ridiculously specific words that you only see in writing and it is nice to see these illustrated so you know exactly what they mean. It would be great to have more of these.

Random Events. This is a great app when it doesn’t crash for some reason and doesn’t break into a video ad in the middle of a game making selection of an answer impossible. Fix these issues and you have something worthy of attention.

Excellent!💜. I down loaded this app to expand my vocabulary and it is amazing. As soon as you start you can already feel your brain grow. And the best part is it's fun, you don't need to force yourself to play for just 10 minutes. In fact as soon as you get home you can't wait to play. As for paying, I first downloaded the free app but it only had 2 levels 4 quizzes on each. And then I paid $2:50 for the full app and it is definitely worth it!!! So download it now💙💙

Quizzical. Excellent way of increasing vocabulary but to maximise benefits and increase effectiveness in building language skills an option of viewing words in a context sentence should be included.

Not bad, much potential, can be improved. Very good for word recognition. So good, in fact, I purchased the 10 levels. I'm finding a need for a feature where you can redo tests on levels you've already completed. Because when I want to go over the level 3 words, and retest, it pops up with "you've already done this." My point is, yes I know I've done it. Why can't I do it again? For memorising's sake...

Sound is absolutely atrocious. Well made app except for the sound. You are in violation of Apples rules to a developer stating you cannot and should not use the ringer&alerts sound for your app in game sounds. Legit terrible programming, not sure who decided it would be a fun idea to have to enter setting to lower volume anytime you want to use this app and then miss out on any alerts or calls because the volume is lower than usual (max setting). :) I am a person who really enjoys audial cues and it is a shame to not be able to use them. Other than this which can be easily fixed, I think the devs have potential and should consider making this kind of app for vocabulary in different languages. I think it'd be a great way to learn more words. I hope you guys will make some more apps.

2 stars for the first two levels!. So looks like this will never be updated. I complained about paying $1.99 for 10 levels, though it’s a good app. But that was years ago. Doesn’t seem like adding new content would be that hard.

Best app I've found so far. This is a highly addictive and great vocabulary-building app. It's the best I've downloaded of the free ones so far!

Informative and fun!. I love this app! Great for keeping you on your toes- definitely worth investing in the full version! You can replay levels if you want to consolidate your learning or improve your score. Each word also has a dictionary definition and a pronunciation example. If you love words, play scrabble or even like to read a lot this app is for you. Get it and you won’t regret it!

Nnnn, it's ok. Rather dull. Fun games but after doing same ones 4X, they're memorized. Leery to pay $2 upgrade as I've played these games online & questions tend to repeat after several uses.

Bad. Can’t get through any of the quizzes without 800 ads popping up therefore impeding my progress and giving me an unfair advantage, I’d like to actually play the game and not have to exit an ad every 2 seconds or less

Great app. I love it! Great for improving vocabulary while playing. It is worth buying the full app cause it has many more levels. English is not my first language so this app is a good way for me to learn new words and also I love the fact that I can listen to the pronunciation.

Great potential!. Love the types of Quizzes, but wish there were a cumulative store of words you got wrong rather than just for each section of each quiz. It would be good to be able to go back and do a teat of ALL the words one got wrong, from Level 1 to 10.

Would be awesome, but keeps crashing. The gameplay is fun and can be challenging. However... the app keeps shutting down in the middle of play so when you reopen it you have to start all over again. Frustrating. I was completely ready to pay for the additional levels, but it’s a no-go unless the glitches get fixed.

Great app!. Love the app. Been spending a lot of time on it and still wanting more. The upgrade fee is well worth it. Can you please also include an option for the word pronunciations in the questions?

Fun Educational App. Quizzitive is a fun educational app that anyone can do daily! For me, it's a morning/daily jump starter. Also great for the classroom. Teachers can allow kiddos to use this app when there is a little down time.

Fun but could use definitions feature. fun word game even for adults. I’ve had it for 1-2 weeks and already recommended it to 4 friends My only wish is the app had actual definitions of the words during Review.

Tougher levels needed. This app is a great ideal but a bit lacking because it reaches peak difficulty at level 6 or 7 then plateaus. In particular, the items in “Name that thing” (potentially my favorite category being a visual learner) are easily recognized throughout the levels. Ramp it up MW!

Fun but not enough words. I went through the free version of 200 words in about 20 minutes. Enjoyable, made me stretch a bit for some of the words. I would definitely consider the paid version, but when I saw that it was only 1000 words, I chose not to. Come on Merriam Webster, you’ve got lots more words than that!

My Favorite App. Learning vocabulary words with this app is fun and it works! I hope it will continue to be updated to include sentences using the vocabulary words. Absolutely fantastic

Love it!. It is challenging and captivating and pretty addictive! I like it better than a lot of the other mindless games out there. At least you learn something and improve your vocabulary skills!

Good app but needs aprovements. I like quizitive because it helped me learn .I give this app 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .I wanted to download this app because the app reviews were good. I like how it timed you it gave you a challenge. I didn't like how it only had four different types of quizzes . I also got spell frenzy spell frenzy only quizzed you on spelling and quizitive did different quizzes .

Fun but super buggy. Not much in there. You're done in a couple hours tops. Coding is sloppy and design is not very creative, but I had fun. I felt like a pro when it finally found its way by circuitous route to the end. Example: At one point I was sure I'd lost my scores when I was mysteriously sent back to level one to start the game again. The game the second time through, btw, is identical.

Fun. I like this game. The words are good. The method does help with memory. On level 4, so far only a few new words. This will be great for summer learning. Your family could learn 1000 words this summer. Mine will. Would like if it said the world. It would be good to ensure correct pronunciation without the need to review and then click on pronunciation.

Playing with words-so much fun!. This is better than reading the dictionary. It is easy to get caught up in this app. It would be even better if you could hear the words pronounced! I am glad I bought this app. It’s a fun way to learn new words.

I love words. This game really stimulates my mind. I read a lot and often come across words that I have no idea of the meaning, but can sometimes figure it out in the context of the sentence. With this game you have no context to refer to, and you have to be quick. I love the challenge!

Levels. Stops at level 10, then makes one start completely over. Please create more levels. Get app otherwise, educational and challenging.

Fun Learning. This is a fun way to build your vocabulary. I like the progression of difficulty as you advance through each level. It also provides a mean for learning different definitions of some words as well.

Continuing to Learn. Being 75 is no reason to stop learning. Not possible to learn tennis, but very possible to absorb new words. Do wish they had a section where we use the words we learned!

Educational fun!. I love expanding my vocabulary and having fun while I do it. My only minor irritation is the lag time on response. Otherwise it's fine. Hope the freezing other reviews mention are resolved before I reach that level!

Very fun. Makes me think without being frustrating. The answers are given, so if you've answered incorrectly, you will learn the correct meaning. A good way to spend some time.

Brain games. My resolution this year is to spend my time deliberately, not mindlessly. This app is helping me with that. I want a robust vocabulary and spending 5 minutes a day playing games is such an easy way to do that!

Fun AND Good for you, too!. Its simple to understand, excellent for improving your vocabulary, and you learn a lot from the pictures quiz. AND they dont charge you an arm an a leg like you were in Vegas-:). So thanks guys n gals for making a fun word game with smarts!

Good quality, give it a try. The four games are all well done, but as a former frequent player of SAT words on the now sadly defunct QuizUp app, the speed drill game is particularly good for boosting fluency and recall speed. English learners would benefit from using this app too.

Remarkable. As English is my second language, this app has been challenging but remarkable, fun, and revolutionary for improving my vocabulary. I highly recommend it!

Cheerful Game. This game is a fun way to learn new words and a gentle way to check myself on words I may think I know the meaning of but, maybe, don’t quite. I am having a good time learning with Quizzitive.

Great Challenge to your Vocabulary. It's all about words, which I like. I used to be able to reset the game at the end and it would advance through all the levels again normally. But haven’t been able to lately. I can, however, repeat any level individually.

Fun game. Great fun game! It's both entertaining and educational. I use this along with the Merrium Webster app to improve my vocabulary. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is that it will just freeze up periodically. The solution I've found to date is to reboot my phone. Irritating but not enough to make me quit using it.

Great quickie time-filler that is also a brain worker. I am actually shocked at how many I do know. And the ones I am wrong about are the ones I would swear were right and have been using wrong for years...

Screen stuck with my rank explanation. I was at an advanced level and was ready to move to another level. A note came on screen to explain my rank and has frozen the game. I guess I will have to delete it. I really liked it. A day later I went back to the game and it was unfrozen!

Yes! Great Use Of A Little Time!. This is definitely the 'easiest' app to jump right into. It's fun, but not addictive to the point where one is wasting time. And, of course it's educational and an overall efficient use of my time.

More levels for five stars.. I was disappointed when the quiz came to an end at level 10. Still, the opportunity to start at the beginning is appreciated. This is an app worth paying for, despite the limited levels.

Words are words as are the definitions. It is a bit troubling to see this app has not been updated in two years. Notwithstanding that observation, the words are still the object of the lesson. I’d appreciate seeing more games, perhaps a mini-crossword puzzle that is subject themed. A pleasant diversion.

Fun, educational. Challenging, helpful feedback for unknown words.. Came upon Quizzitive by chance; purchased the ad-free version. Delightful! Challenging! Help is easily accessible and informative. Now I will see how much I can learn. I like the four options for games.

Word games. This program is literally a life saver for me. As a result of my age, life experiences, and specifically a near fatal car accident, I have been struggling to regain as much cognition as lost. These mental exercises give me hope and good reason to get out of bed each day.

Lots of Fun. This app is a riot to play. Assuming, of course, that you’re the type who enjoys expanding your vocabulary and wordplay. Best of all, you’re your own worst enemy and most helpful friend. Great for when you can’t sleep at night or are waiting for the movie to play.

Ripped off by greedy update. I didn’t even finish the initial Levels 1 and 2 before being forced to update! Now I can’t get back to Levels 1 and 2 unless I pay $1.99 plus .17 in taxes! I’m getting fed up with Apple’s greed and the greedy app developers 😡! Not everyone can afford new phones, new expensive apps or Apple Pay! Show a little kindness to elderly folks you greedy buggers 😡

Acting oddly, had to delete my PAID app and downloaded again but it’s acting as a non paid app. It froze several times. I followed the Apple’s advice by closing out the screen and turning off my iPhone. Still had issues, decided to delete and download it again. I paid for the additional sets of words and now it is requiring me to pay again!!

Helpful. This app helps refresh my memory on different words and helps build my vocabulary. Would also recommend for younger children, my little brother loves it.

Fun at first. First five or six levels were fine, but then many the words became highly obscure. Don’t see any value in knowing “contumacious” for example, because even in learning them it is unlikely that one would ever encounter them again.

I love this app.. This is the best way to spend your idle time. My only request is that they link the words you get incorrect to the actual dictionary app that I also purchased. That would make my nerdy dreams come true. Thank you with love.

Great until Level 9 FREEZES!. I love this app, until you get to level 9 on the Hidden Letters section. It freezes and you cannot finish the game, therefore you cannot go to level 10. Sad, for an otherwise great app.

Great learning app. A couple of suggestions: 1. Volume control. As far as I can tell the audio control consists of ‘on’ or ‘off’. I like having the audio but the default volume is too high. 2. Pronunciation. It would be great to have audio of the correct pronunciation of words, especially unfamiliar ones.

Great Short Game. This is a great app for improving your vocabulary while having fun. You can pick the level of difficulty while moving up. Use it frequently.

Worth the money!. Great practical and high level words. Games are entertaining! Definitely worth paying for the extra levels. Love that you can repeat tests for review. Other bonuses are the pronunciation and parts of speech. Perfect for SATs 👍🏼

Love the app. It’s a great app. It helps to build my vocabulary and I’m having fun while doing it! The only reason I give it four stars is because the button that is used to hear the pronunciation of the word doesn’t work for me. I can’t hear anything.
