Helpful App. I'm a very busy mom these days. This app is very helpful with its reminders. The logging of each baby activity is very helpful on keeping track of your baby's feedings, bowel moments, and even appointments. The chart will show you your baby's activity on a weekly, monthly, and daily basis. I would recommend this app to new moms and mom who may need a tool just to assist with record keeping to ensure them if their child is progressing ok. I love this app. Oh and this app also keeps up with your baby's milestones.

Don't purchase if you want to use on multiple devices. Won't sync between multiple devices so worthless if you want to sync between both parents phones. Customer service won't respond on how to fix the issue, I think the developers of this app are done with it. Waste of $10. Save your money and don't purchase.

Great App for First Time Mom's. I love love love this app. It took me a little while to get used to but it's so so worth it. I love the tracking & charts so you can compare and figure out the better days from the worse and get a pseudo schedule started in the early months. I don't buy apps but this one is worth it.

Love it!. Very practical and user friendly. I don't use every tracking feature, but I have found it very useful for tracking feedings!

Works great. This app works great for tracking everything about your baby. I especially like the charting where you can see the times and durations for feeding and sleeping. It would be nice if there were a graph showing both, and if all of the items could be shown in the same way (some only have graphs showing number per day).

Great. I've tried a number of methods and this by far helps keep things straight the most easily.

Reminder Needs Work. The smart reminder only has 3 options feeding, diaper change, and sleep. I wish there was a way to edit these options. Also, I'd like to have more than three reminders. I personally never use the diaper change reminder.

FTM Great App. This has been incredibly helpful for this FTM who can't remember her name half the time. It does take some time to get used to as it is somewhat busy, but would highly recommend it!

Detail description and review. This is a great app for tracking everything about the baby, especially for first time moms! It allows you to track diapers (including amount, color etc if you wish), feedings (including side and time), milestones like baby's first smile, hold head, etc. it is certainly very complete! My baby is only 2 mo old and they have upgraded this app twice! Which is a great sign. Another great thing is that every single suggestion I have made has not only been responded to, but they actually made the alterations that I suggested! This is a super reliable app. On too of all that it will give you stays that you can actually email and print! To show your baby's progress! (Not that the pediatrician will ask for it but it helps mom swing the differences over time) It has some tiny issues like sometimes you need to correct a sleeping recording twice but I am completely sure they will fix that as they fixed everything I have reported. The only down side of this app is that it doesn't have a "log in" meaning it can only be used in the phone it's installed. It would be nice to have a log in so your husband can record stuff too on his phone while he takes care of LO. But apart from that, it's the best app of all the ones I and my hubby have downloaded. It is worth the price!

Worth it. Very easy and simple to use it

Must have baby app. This app is awesome. I originally wanted this app to track my sons milk intake for the first few months, after we brought him home from the NICU (I started doing it by hand and wanted a better, easier way). I have been using this app, every day, for almost a year and have found it helpful in different ways at different stages of his development, over the last year. I have been able to monitor my milk output with his intake, on a weekly or daily basis; I used it to monitor his diapers while he was sick; I tracked his nursing and sleeping habits to establish a routine, as much as possible; I have added all of his milestones and plan to download it and print it for his baby book; plus much more. This app is great for all moms, but I highly recommend it for those moms with NICU babies, to alleviate some of the stress associated with itty-bitty babies, in the beginning. I never pay for apps, but this one is totally worth it. Great job in developing this app- it offers everything a mom needs to track her babies progress and growth!

Worked about four years ago. Now it refuses to sync via Dropbox. For us, being able to use it on multiple phones was the key feature, so this app is useless now. It did work for our first child about four years ago. We had assumed we would use it now for our second, but no such luck. Given a few other reviews saying similar things, I’m guessing this app has been abandoned by its developer.

Excellent app and customer service. I have been using FirstYear for the past four months, and I love it! I tried several other apps when my child was first born, but none of them included as much information and were as easy to use as FirstYear. Having all of the data at doctor appointments (especially the charting to see daily and weekly trends) was essential when my daughter was a newborn and we were trying to get breastfeeding established. It is also very helpful to be able to enter questions as I think of them and have them handy at my next appointment. Additionally, FirstYear has excellent customer service! I recently ran into a problem with family sharing, and when I contacted them for support my email was answered immediately (even though it was a holiday weekend) with a solution to my problem. Thank you for making such a great app and for providing such great customer service!

Clear and easy. This app is all-inclusive that only feeding, changing and sleeping are included, but also milestones and growth and many more. What makes it greater is that it's very easy to use with the clear organization. Very helpful for newbie parents to track baby's activity during the first couple of months.

Excellent for twins!!. (Updated) This app is still awesome. My twins are almost 3 now and I still use it to track their sleep. It's helpful to have such a clear sense of their nap and bedtime sleep routine. This data helped us have solid information for our pediatrician and it turned out that 1 of our twins had sleep apnea. This app allowed me to share actual sleep data with our ENT to help diagnose him. (Original review-2015) As a Mom of twins, it is very challenging to find apps & tools that are not limited to singleton parents. This app works great for multiple children & it tracks everything you need for your daily routine & pediatrician. My only suggestion is to add a feature that tracks time between feeds... Otherwise, this app is AWESOME & very thorough.

Great app for newborn days!!!. Easy to accurately track feedings, diapers, sleeping trends and growth! Easy report to share at check ups and it’s always with you. I upgraded to the full version and think it's worth the money for the convenience. I used this 3 years ago and now again with our newest addition and I’m still very happy with the app!!

Took getting used to but worth every second!. This app took some getting used to but it's worth it, I confess I don't use the reminders as most of it is common sense. The way the app collates the data is extremely helpful when starting sleep training or figuring out if your baby has eaten enough that day.... When our doctors ask us questions I can always refer to the app since I can no longer trust my memory. The adjustability in the "detail" sections of each category is also extremely helpful. This app was very well designed, there is sincerely nothing more I wish it did....except maybe take care of the baby while I napped!

Detailed yet simple. I completely love this app! I never ever pay for any apps, and I appreciate the way the developers set this up to allow for a full experience before I decide whether or not to invest any dollars. I love that there are tons of features and options of details to track, but that it's completely up to the parent or caregiver which to use. The optional alarms for next scheduled feeding, diaper change or anticipated sleep event are great. I think this would probably be a really helpful app for those who provide in home daycare services. **please add the ability to indicate that I am pumping to increase the volume of an existing bottle OR add functionality to indicate that I'm using more than one "label" when logging a feeding of pumped milk. I like the functionality that keeps up with the date/time/volume of each pumping session, but I'd like to be able to collect milk pumped in multiple sessions from the same day into the same container.

Functional on 1 phone but poor syncing. Pros: 1) functional features 2) easy to use & intuitive Cons: 1) no longer syncing on multiple devices 2) poor customer service. I have emailed several times over the course of 8 months and have not had a single reply. 3) no updates for routine fixes/iOS compatibility Overall Impressions: Easy to use app that makes baby tracking a breeze. Easy to share information across multiple family members and caregivers so that there's no question when baby needs to eat or nap. Now it will no longer sync. I think it may be because it's not compatible w the new IOS but I am not certain bc no one has bothered to reply to my emails. So after purchasing this app to use on 5 devices, I will just have to find a new one.

Great app!. Took a little bit with getting used to making entries like modifying the time and narrowing down specifically what categories I wanted to view but now that I know how to do it, it's really easy. Has some other features that are cool but not necessary. I am really only worried about how much my baby is eating and needing her diaper changed.

Fantastic app. I absolutely love this app. It was a bit confusing at first and I'm really glad the trial version had full capability for 100 entries because I needed to use it for a while before I got the hang of it. Definitely worth the purchase once I became familiar with all it's functionality. I use it every day to track all my baby's activities. Best feature is how perfectly it syncs across my devices through Dropbox. Highly recommended for new parents!

Best Baby Tracker I've Used. I love this app. I've used this app ever since my child came home from the hospital. It keeps very in depth records and it allows me to track my baby's habits and trends. It's especially helpful when needing to provide information the the pediatrician. And when it's all said and done, I can export all my baby's data so that it is one place. It's the only app I will need to track my baby's growth. I'm using the paid version and didn't mind paying because of all the features I get with it. It is worth every penny. I love it. Keep up the good work!

Great, but UX is terrible. This app is awesome! It takes everything you could possibly want to track. It had nice graphs and reports as well. If you're a data geek, this is definitely the best app out there. The user experience is just awful though. It's not intuitive in the slightest. All of the swipes and taps to do simple things like logging diapers and feeding is annoying and took some getting used to. If the user interface was more like the WebMD app I'd give this a 5 star and recommendations for life.

Best app I've found. I've used almost every app out there and this is the best one I've found. The workflow is smooth and fast, and well-suited to use with one hand while managing a wiggly baby with the other. I also find the app easy to use while half-asleep, which is when I'm logging things a lot of the time :). It has one really important feature that none of the other do as far as I know: you can retroactively start a timer. So if the baby falls asleep, for instance, and you can't hit the sleep timer right away, when you have a minute you can tell it the baby started sleeping 20 minutes ago, and it starts the timer from there. With all the other apps I've tried, you have to wait until the baby wakes up and log the sleep then. I'm way too tired to remember what time ahe started sleeping for that long! This is also the only app that lets you look at the sleep graph for either a month or a week at a time. The month view is really helpful. The graph is a little bit buried, but once you get to it, it's the best layout I've found. Also, this app is the most beautiful to look at pf all the apps I've used. I look at this app 15 or 20 times a day. It matters to me that it's not ugly or cloying.

pleasant surprise. Having a baby is a very serious step in a life of any person. Some things had definitely remained the same since the beginning of times, however now we live in an age where we have all these new developments in technology that we can finally put to some good use. This app not only tracks your baby development: you would be able to track down when your baby ate last time or what was the first pronounced word, more importantly it can save you the trouble of going to a doctor or a specialist or perhaps you are a new parent and have absolutely no idea what to do in a specific event, this app will give you an answer to pretty much everything you will need and more. As a parent myself, I greatly recommend this little app.

Great, easy to use. The 100 use trial is a great way to test this out with no strings attached. I purchased this because it's incredibly simple to use, helps answer those Doctor questions (we're going on 4 hrs sleep, how the h*ll am I suppose to remember how many diapers I've changed), and helps us figure out why she's fussy on oddball nights (too little sleep, too much, too hungry, etc). Great tool for the tech-focused millennial parent.

Photo Journal Sets Apart. The tracking capabilities are perfect. What sets this apart though is the integrated exportable/printable photo journal!! I’ve used with both kiddos and have beautiful journal keepsakes. Plus, it was great to reference kid one milestones once we had kid two. Highly recommend!!!

Great!. Great app and definitely worth the purchase. Best tracking app we were able to find. My only recommendation for improvement would be to allow the user to select the date when entering data rather than scrolling through dates, but that's it. Love that it auto backups to your cloud account as well.

Amazing App!. I've been using this app since my daughter was born....she's 16 months old now. it has been a lifesaver. I never have to guess why she's crying or fussy. I just look at the app and see what's overdue!

Won't sync, deleted all my data. Seriously I'm so frustrated right now. I was trying to get this to sync across multiple devices. Created a profile to sync to and it just wouldn't show up on any other devices. Somehow in the process I managed to overwrite 10 days of meticulously collected data and revert to the day that I first created the profile. What an utter waste of time, trying to punch data into this app instead of just enjoying time with my newborn. What did the app reveal? I was taking good care of him and didn't need a stupid app to tell me that. Deleted and will never use again.

Awesome App, Amazing customer service!!!. First off, this app is awesome! I live by it. I've been using it with my 4 month old since he was born, along with my husband. It helps keep track of when he's fed and for how long, when he sleeps, poops etc. This comes in handy not just at your doctor visits when they ask about all that, but also for me, since I'm back at work now, I don't have to text my husband (or whoever is with my son) asking what's going on- they Judy log it in the app, and I can sync to see the latest info. Speaking of synching, I was having issues with the sync on my new iPad, emailed customer service, and they responded within 12 hours. Not only that, we couldn't resolve it after a few emails, so the rep called me at a scheduled time, and we got it all worked out!! Impressive service which I didn't expect from a $4.99 app. Very impressed!!!!

Great purchase!. My initial reason for trying this app out was because I was worried my nursing son might not be getting enough to eat. I wanted to track his wet diapers. Since I will be going back to work soon, I wanted to figure out his sleeping and eating schedule, as well. I'm a little compulsive when it comes to record keeping and list-making, so it quickly progressed to my tracking his every activity and this app made it so easy to do! I love knowing at a glance how many wet or soiled diapers my son has had, or how much sleep he's gotten. This app is also very helpful in remembering when he last slept or ate. Perhaps one of the best things about this app is the ability to track and record how much breast milk I pumped and when I pumped it. I label these "bottles" with the date and time so when I feed the expressed breast milk to my son, I simply choose the corresponding label. There are many more things to track, such as milestones and growth, as well as bath time and tummy time. If you are in to details, (like I am,) this app makes keeping records a cinch! Without it, I doubt I would remember half as much.

So helpful!. This app is very helpful with keeping track of everything (especially in the middle of the night) from diapers to feeding. As a nursing mom, it helps to remember which side I last nursed, again extremely helpful at night! I also like how it you to keep track of number of wet diapers and times the baby ate, which my pediatrician always asks at visits. It also logs and keeps track of everything and predicts of eating, sleeping, and diapers. While I don't use that to go by, it is always iterating when it is right on time! This is my second child, and I also used and loved it with our first.

Works great, good support. App works great. One thing to keep in mind is that the in-app purchases don't work with family purchases through the App Store so all family members would have to purchase them separately. The better solution is to buy the Pro app instead of either in app purchases.

This is what a baby timer should be. I had to download several apps before finding this one. It has all of the features you need: 1. Ability to pause the timer while nursing so you don't log burps in between. 2. Ability to change the start time because it's certainly unrealistic to start the timer as soon as you start. 3. Tracks amount and color of diaper contents and again the ability to change the time when you log it. 4. Sleep time can be adjusted a well.

Excellent help. Started with the free version. I have 6 kids who love helping with the baby. I needed to keep track of his feedings and sleep. I tried 4 baby tracking apps, and this was the best. I upgraded after a week because I loved it so much!!! It has helped at doctor appts, too. And I can figure out when he is going through growth spurts by his feeding schedule. What an amazing app!!! A must have!. I downloaded 4 different apps to test which one is better and this app is the best one. It allows you to record everything and you have control to manipulate the data after the fact incase you had entered it in incorrectly. I love it! I rely on the app more than my memory haha

Look forward to using this to manage baby's health as well as provide a memento of his development. One request, could you please provide somewhere to set 'default' reminder times eg feeding timer defaults to 2hrs whereas I want to set to 3.

Love it. For a first time mum (of a 6 week old), I LOVE this app. The free trial period was of a decent enough length to work out how to use the program, so I promptly upgraded to the paid version (well done developers... If it had only been a day or so I would never have worked it out enough to want to purchase). Very easy to use & even the iPad-loving midwife was impressed!

Fantastic App. I used this app with my first child (4years ago). I have come back to it with my 2nd because it was exactly what I needed then and now. I love this app and recommend it!

Very impressive. I am now using this app for the second time with my second son. I am again finding it very useful and am surprised by the wide range of things that can be recorded and the ability to adjust most details as you require. It is very well thought out. I mainly use for feeds, but also I log when I bathe him, when he does a large vomit, today I put his weight in. When my son is older and his sleeps are more defined, I will use it to log those times too.

Fantastic, quick and easy!. Great app for both phone and iPad. Fast entry of meals, nappies, even details like bath and temp. V easy to use. Dropbox sync is handy so you can use on multiple devices. Only catch is to sync, my wife and I have to use the same Dropbox account. Not a prob for us but may be a bit inconvenient.

Excellent app. This is a wonderful app that I found extremely helpful when my baby was younger. I was able to keep check of everything that my little one was doing....from feeds to sleeping etc... It was such a valuable tool when I was so sleep deprived!

Best newborn baby tracking app. Detailed app, simple enough to use. Has a lot of data that you are able to capture enabling mums and dads to easily keep track of baby. Really enjoy using this app.

Great App. Does everything I want and more. The growth tracker is a little in exact but I can work around it.

Lots of features but too busy. The app has a lot of good features but the layout is soo busy it becomes complicated to use or to find where to access those features. After one week of juggling the app and the newborn, I switched to an easier app which provided easy access to a lot of the same tracking features.

Usefuk. Such a handy app. Especially in the beginning when running on little or no sleep. My partner and I both use the app and our data synchs - a critical aspect.

Great detail!. Detailed app with emphasis on adding basic events data, but then allows drill down to add more if you like. Some of the interface design is good, some is a little non-intuitive (doesn't quite flow in how to get the data in). It's got some great tracking items, like last feed, how long sleeping, showing as live status panel. What I found tricky as a new Dad, was the time to capture these items in real time. There are some easy Journal features for text and images.

Pretty good. The app is great, it can record very detailed info about any baby's activity. I also love that it can export data in csv so you can play with it further if you need to (if you're a crazy excel loving mom like I am). Honestly I didn't like it at first as it seemed too confusing and simply too much (must be a sleepy overtired brain of a new mom), but I gave it a second shot a couple of days ago. It's actually brilliant! Loving it now! Love the sleeping pattern diagram.

Amazing app. This is a must have app for newborns. Has been so helpful in relaying information to doctors to see trends and patterns in sleeping, feeding, toilet. Also has been a lifesaver in recording milestones which I’ve been meaning to do in my journal and just never get around to it. It allows you to upload a picture and leave a note associated with milestone. Truly a great app I’ve come across and will be recommending to friends and family who have new editions arriving earthside shortly.

Life Saver!. This App has been an absolute life saver with my 3 week old little girl, tracking her feeds and nappy changes had been a breeze!

Very useful. I am finding the app very useful. It took me a little time to work out what the app was capable of and how to edit entries. I enjoy that it keeps lots of information together so looking back is easy. My favourite feature is the journal that allows you to log joyful moments each day- a very sweet touch. The app has eased my new mum anxiety as I am now sure of how long feeds were or when my baby slept well.

Finally! Just makes sense.. This is just what i was after, its the 3rd app i have tried of this type and this one just makes sense. Its so easy to record my baby's sleep, feeds and nappies plus other things i wouldn't have looked for like growth charts and milestones. Thank you!

I don't often write a review.... But when I do... It's only for apps I consider worthy. THIS is one such app. Easily the most used app on my phone (and I have lots). Since having my baby, this app has helped me feel sane again instead of constantly running around in circles. Now I know exactly when I last did something, be it a feed and which side last, nappy change, sleep, when medicine was last given and can set reminders for when next dose is due in my calendar, tracks growth, appointments, milestones (with photos attached of each previous moment!). And I love the feeding and sleep pattern charts. That alone is worth the purchase price to see what patterns are developing to form an expectation around some kind of routine. Can not say enough good things about this app. I tried out heaps of baby tracking apps and NONE of them even measured up close. This is the chosen one and I humbly kneel in its presence for restoring my sanity in a world turned upside down and topsy turvy. It's is legend...-Wait for it but you won't have to wait long cause its just that awesome-airy.

A very good app for recording your baby's activities. First Year has really helped us keep track of how often our baby feeds, sleeps, needs a change and more. The ability to update the records from both of our phones is great when on of us is asleep or has both hands full with baby! I highly recommend First Year to new parents - nurses and doctors will be impressed when you tell them exactly how many nappy changes you've done in the last 48 hours just by checking this app. The user interface would be better if it followed Apple's guidelines more closely and was more similar to other iOS apps. The timer recording features take a bit of getting used to at first - we weren't confident that we could start a breastfeeding recording and then keep using the app for other things without interrupting the recording. It would be nice if the reports were prettier - some "baby" templates would be very attractive, perhaps even as in-app purchases.
