Very promising app…potentially a must have for Apple Watch. So far the answers to my searches have been good. I would request to have the option to skip the keyboard and go straight to the mic. Another one would be to get the answers by voice instead of text, as an option, would be great! Lookin forward to future updates and maturity of this app.

Works, could be a little better without much work. I’m happy with it because it’s simple to install and use, but I’d like to see a few changes: 1. Allow user to default to voice input rather than the keyboard. Especially on the watch. 2. Don’t make me click a button on the watch to get started - it should open in a state where it’s waiting for input like it does on iOS. 3. After I get an answer on the watch, the third button on the right (send to phone?) just makes the watch vibrate and stops the scroll wheel from working. If I scroll by touching the screen it goes back to normal. It also only seems to the iOS app. It would be more useful if it copied to the clipboard. In general, though, it does what it says it does so I’m happy.

solid, and gpt-4 for 3bucks?. very surprising to be able to have a complication on my watch that allows me to access GPT-4 for only a few bucks. I would never consider searching the web on my watch… I don’t even like searching the web on my phone, and then having to sift through endless SEO blather. Now, a billion facts are available to me without filler, easy to read on my watch screen (and while the facts are not guaranteed to be accurate, I find that I am applying the same discernment that I have learned to apply when deciding which search results to follow on the web). Feels amazing. I don’t mind having it open up with keyboard enabled (to respond to previous commenters). I often select the microphone to dictate, but I don’t mind starting with the keyboard.

Great…but. I had a chance to play around with Peter for about a day. Peter is Quick and smarter than Siri of course but I wish it will automatically send the answers to iPhone or speak them out loud so I don’t have to read on the Apple Watch small screen. Maybe there is a way to set it up to read the answers, but it is not obvious. I turned on “enable speech” but it never read out loud.

Petey is a great AI assistant to have!!. Hi. I want to start out by saying congratulations on such a wonderful build using GPT-4 & 3.5 Turbo architecture. When I downloaded the app, I also paid for the in-app purchase to access the GPT-4 model. I downloaded the app on my watch and it works fine. When you released 2.0, I cannot access it on my phone. Only my watch. I go into the App Store and it says I’ve already purchased it but there is no link or anything to download it onto my phone. I’ve deleted the app off my watch from both sides (watch & phone) but I still cannot get the app link on my phone. Any help?

GPT-4 on your wrist. The developer is gracious enough to offer you unlimited GPT-4 access using a one time payment. And if you install the iPhone app, you can set it up so Petey opens on your watch via the Action Button using a Shortcut. The developer is also responsive over email. Overall a great app and a great experience. UPDATE: His latest update almost entirely broke the GPT4 functionality. I’ve stopped using the app entirely. Waiting on an update.

Best-In-Class Chat-GPT for iOS. Petey (get it? Chat-G”Petey?”) is the app for anyone who wants the best-in-class iOS Chat-GPT client. Look at van Der Ploeg’s other apps. He gets it. And he’s super responsive. If there’s a feature you want that’s not in the app yet, there’s a good chance you can find it in the “request a feature” section, which includes the ability to upvote or downvote popular requests.

Great app, lots of potential. watchGPT is an interesting Apple Watch app I decided to give a try after reading John Voorhees' review of it in this week's edition of Club MacStories; a great newsletter I strongly encourage you to check out! Having an AI chat bot on my wrist sounds intriguing and after playing around with the app for just a little bit I think I'm going to keep it on my Wayfinder watch face, sub-dial Bottom, for now. I'm already thinking about use cases for it. Right now, I'm thinking it would be a nice companion to have while reading a book. If I have a question, I can ask watchGPT and share the results via a text to myself for further reference. It would be nice however to figure out if I can get watchGPT to work with Drafts as having notes would, at least for me, be preferable to text messages, as it relates to collecting the results of my queries.

Definitely worth a try. Bought the app today, and after done trouble installing (can only be installed by going to the App Store on the watch and installing from there - BTW the creator replied very quickly to my installation issue, which was much appreciated!) Set up the app as a complication and it works well - likely to be much more useful than Siri! Looking forward to new features, but so far worth every penny

Trying hard. Hey buddy. Based on your responses to reviews it sounds like you’re a one man op or close to it (I vs we in responses). Regardless, congrats on all your efforts to get it this far. I know it took you a lot of effort. Still though. You’re on the right track. One thing that many others have pointed out is the casual/ unintentional or whatever the case is - lack of clarity about the buy then not get something working. As a fellow in the space I encourage you to reconsider your strategy here. Even if you made it super clear (which isn’t the case evidently) that your app is still not going to work after purchasing it (how people think) then people all will intuitively believe that ‘hey, I just paid for something, now it will work without needing to pay openai or the dev). This is just too new for people to understand how this works. I didn’t realize what was going to happen til I opened the app either. Just think back to the last time you were peeved. Guaranteed it was a missed expectation in your opinion. Same deal here. For me, I’m not trippin despite the purchase + surprise. People don’t read and neither did i - In case I missed any (small) print in there. I’ll prob use my key, but hopefully my words are coming across. Let me know when you get that changed and in good faith I can adjust my rating. Btw. Four is still good. Don’t beat yourself up. Unless it’s about that pricing strat decision. 🤔✌️

Good start but room for some improvement. Nice to have on the watch, but there is room for improvement. There should be an easier way to get to the app on your watch. Also, when there are answers to your questions, it should be easier to forward the entire conversation as opposed to each individual response.

Loving the watch experience. I have loved the experience as long as I have had it as I use it from time to time on a daily basis the only thing that I wish I could do is purchased a GPT-4 on my watch, but it will not allow me to other than that. I have enjoyed my experience, but I will definitely ask for them to look into the watch to see why some people may not be able to purchase the GPT-4 option.

Great start, hoping for more features & settings. I have an Ultra and want to use its Action button to launch the app, but cannot do so with Shortcuts because the app doesn’t appear on the iPhone. Is there a workaround? Also would like to be able to change the voice that dictates the answer. Having a watch face for the app would be great too, or as an inclusion/ complication on an existing watch face.

Works fine with some caveats. A little difficult to install and after using for a while, the speech stopped working even though the speech switch was activated overall works fine, but doesn’t offer seemingly any advantage over short cuts using open AI unless I’m missing something Update: after reboot speech works again but does not want to speak past what is visible on screen. Also have not found a way to do follow up questions.

Basic doesn’t provide a way to install on Apple Watch. I paid for the basic app to use on my Apple Watch, however there isn’t way to install it on my Apple Watch. It’s not visible as an installable app for my Watch on my iPhone. I tried I launching Petey on my iPhone to see if that would install it as an available app for my Watch, however it’s requesting that I either subscribe to a monthly or yearly service or provide an API key. I’d like to request a reimbursement. Yes I tried multiple times to install directly on my Apple Watch, I get the following messages”Unable to Complete Request Try Again Later”

Not sure it really works. I tried using this on my watch, which is my main use case for using something like Petey since the existing integration from OpenAI is so poor. It seems like it sort of worked, but it struggled with taking input from a shortcut and seemed to just return empty text. Not really sure what to make of that. I think there are bugs. And then I ran out of test uses for the watch app. Oh well! Solid attempt from the developer, but it seems like the implementation is tricky at best.

Super handy app. There are loads of GPT apps out there and many ;if not most) are crappy land grabs. Petey is different. You can really tell that the developer is more interested in providing a great user experience and then mostly staying out of the way. I definitely recommend this app!

Nice idea yet needs to fix urgent issues. Issues to fix asap: 1. Direct voice input from both the app and complication (skipping a writing prompt) 2. Click in the complication icon should immediately open a voice input (instead of multi-step process with Ask me button) Less urgent issues: 3. Ability to change a speech voice - current one is not changeable and unbearable 4. Nice looking, Apple Watch style complication icon. All current icons are plain ugly 😀 5. As already mentioned in other reviews, ability to share to Notes (and other apps like WhatsApp) One BIG feature request : to support a Browser plug-in. It’s ok if it will require a little extra payment UPDATE: I changed review to 5 stars because the developer gave quick and detailed response. GPT Watch App is more a toy now (it’s not connected to a personal GPT account so personal information is not protected and prompts are not saved for further use at laptop). But for this affordable price is a nice tool to try GPT4 (who don’t want to pay full paid subscription) and nice to have watch access

Beautiful app. This app is beautiful and stands out among all the other GPT apps. The developer definitely has an eye for design. I hope this app continues to be updated. I would like to see streaming responses come to Petey soon.

Unable to access paid version. Even though it says purchased in the App Store, I’m not allowed to access gtp4. I tried going through purchase again and it just circles for a few seconds, and restore asks for my password and then does nothing.

Great start!. So glad someone put ChatGPT on Apple Watch! A few suggestions to make it ideal: 1. Voice as default input instead of keyboard. Make voice pop up immediately when launching. 2. Expand share text to more than just text message or email. Add Notes. 3. Allow it to handle more than just one response. ChatGPT is conversational, so add ability (or option) to keep the conversation going.

Some reviews here are dumb. The app is pretty cool. It would be nice to have a settings feature to have some options to alter default(s), history, and random/category questions (instead of typing or speaking because apparently some people are too lazy for it). 1. option to choose primary input; speak or keyboard or none (just to keep some kids happy). 2. history logs? would be cool. 3. random question or category of choosing?

Best implementation out there, UI almost there.. First of all, having now tried ALL (and I do mean all) of the GPT-powered iOS apps, Petey is by far the best. And the best deal. The ability to upgrade to GPT-4 is incredible and the straightforward nature of the design works well. However, there are some interface hiccups that would be great to see ironed out, namely the extremely inconsistent applicability of the watch's dial to scrolling. It works about half the time. It's also unclear how to exit the settings screen, and I would love some way to change font size. The iPhone app has its own versions of the same : the Petey icon overlaps with the history icon when the keyboard is visible, making the settings inaccessible on smaller Phone screens. But these are the complaints of a career interface designer. Petey does exactly what it promises and has totally changed how I interact with my watch.

Neurodivergent user. Hi! I have autism but I’m fully functioning and i unfortunately ask coworkers and family questions that may upset them or make them uncomfortable. I had just asked the same question that I asked my coworkers last week and this app gave me an answer but also told me to be careful with questions like these This is a tool for those who think differently but also for those who have curious questions that might be inappropriate

Best ChatGPT. Like many others, I interact with ChatGPT in many different tools every day. However, nothing is faster and easier than Petey. I am now using it over Siri in most cases now too.

Perfect implementation of GPT-4, on your wrist. This app is a 100% MUST HAVE. The in-app purchase for GPT-4 is also a 100% MUST HAVE. It normally costs $20/month to have even limited, throttled access to GPT-4 through ChatGPT Plus on the web. And in order to get access to GPT-4 via the API, one needs to submit a waitlist application, and then wait, possibly weeks, to be approved or rejected for access into the limited beta. And if you happen to be lucky enough to be granted access, then you would have to pay a steep fee, per question, posed to GPT-4. The fact that access to GPT-4, via Petey, and the IAP, is as reasonably priced as it is, is astonishing. There is no possible way that the IAP pricing will be able to remain as low as it is, so I’d strongly recommend that people grab the IAP immediately. Lastly, the dev is world class. Super responsive. And he is clearly committed to continuous and rapid evolution of Petey. Highest possible recommendation all around.

Well, Now. This is sweet little chatGPT interface. Listening to podcasts and news programs on headset, asking Petey to look up/expand/define topics is so very useful. Installed on an SE2, accessing the GPT4 upgrade was doable as the app accesses Apple Passwords. The app is selectable on the Watch App cloud, and adding to a watch face complication is another solution for quick access. BTW, Siri will open the app on the watch. This is a great little Q-and-A companion. =Peace=

Excellent product. Loving the quick and intuitive interface of it so far! Quick question, and probably a silly one - I’m trying to upgrade to chatGPT 4 on the app, but get stuck at the double-click to confirm purchase. Am I missing something on how to make an in app purchase on the Apple Watch?

Access the best of AI. Petey makes it’s so easy to access ChatGPT! It is simple and provides great results. The developer is constantly innovating bringing new features to the app. I love the ability to use my own API key.

Needs auto listen feature. Nice app idea. I think I’ll have fun with this. However, it is silly to default to keyboard input from the watch complication. It should default to listening when you click the complication. Offer a keyboard input as an alternative input, not the primary.

Icon is too ugly for Apple Watch. The icon is oversized and looks like a cartoon. Too clownish to leave on my main face, so it’s on a secondary one. But it’s a good search alternative otherwise, except sometimes it says “I’m not certain, do you want me to look this up for you?” — but there’s no way to tell it yes or no.

Need copy. It’s a great way to access ChatGPT on the watch. The screen space isn’t that much so can’t display long text anyway. One main feature missing is copy to another app. Yes u can forward in iMessage or email and that’s it. But there are other message apps beside those 2. Also, not sure if it’s a bug, but when after the initial result, there’s Reply button but the app doesn’t remember the previous content it just display, so u would have to type the whole thing again which is a pain to do on the watch.

Unable to install to iPhone or reinstall on watch. It was working quite well. Today I saw that you can download it to iPhone as well. The App Store simply says I have it purchased and gives no install options for iPhone. I opted to delete Petey from my watch and tried to reinstall hoping that would fix the issue and put Petey on both devices. The App Store still says it’s purchased but no option to reinstall or install.

Amazing!!!!!. I literally bought this app and I am giving it five stars solely based on the developers response/s to these comments. I can tell this is one person that developed a really great app and also the type that don’t take none from anyone.

Need better editing capability on Apple Watch. I am enjoying using Petey on my Apple Watch with GPT4. It has provided me with useful information on a wide variety of topics. One problem I have is with typos in my dictated words. The only way to correct the typo is by backspacing one character at a time from the end of the dictation to the spot where the typo exists. It would be great if there was a way to position the cursor at the spot of the typo, and then be able to edit from that point. I don’t know if this is possible on the Apple Watch, but if it is, it would be a great enhancement.

Great app but...... So the app is using chatgpt 3 which works well..... But when I purchased chatgpt 4 it is still using chatgpt 3. I was able to confirm this by asking which version it was using. I tried restarting the watch and closing out the app but same thing. Like I said great app but IAP for chatgpt doesn't do anything.

Money spend used one time. After I spend my money it’s asking me to upgrade or restore endless cycle it $5 waisted not so intelligent user interface would like my money back not cool in purchase apps use any one else having this problem It’s working fine now and very useful. The loop is associated with a setting parameter. I had to enable passcode on my Apple Watch to break the loop. Don’t know if the apps requires it or not but I’m Glad that I installed this apps. Works well. Quick tips. Great idea. I had trouble loading as a complication but when i redownloaded the app from teh App Store ON MY WATCH (vs your iphone), that fixed it all in one shot. Great concept. Suggest it defaults to verbal input to make it more effortless. Which GPT model does this use? 3.5 or 4.0?

Developer with a great app and the best intentions. There have a been a small number of growing pains with the app, but it continues to improve and it’s clear that the developer loves what they do. It’s obvious when you’re using an app that was built with passion, and this is one of them. The design is great, the pricing model is very reasonable, and it’s by far the most enjoyable way to interact with this new world of AI that we’re entering. I look forward to seeing how this app will continue to delight users like me in the future!

Love this little (powerful) app!. The power of GPT4 on your wrist! I’ve used Petey for sooo many things from working on my car, learning blackjack strategy, and frequently asking if the thing my dog ate is safe for dogs to eat. I a think this is definitely the best chat GPT app for the apple watch. It’s light, and fulfills my requests quickly! Support has been amazing the one time I needed it after a watchOS update.

Bravo! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I heeded the top advice from other reviewers and installed Petey directly from the AppleWatch App Store. It works perfectly. After briefly exploring it, I decided to place it on my main watch face as a complication. Now, the power of ChatGPT is on my wrist everywhere I go. ChatGPT is quickly changing the world. Having access to ChatGPT on my wrist will change MY world. My only suggestion to the developers would be to add Notes integration, or a long press option to enable me to text or email the results to myself. The best option would be to have it integrate with Notes directly… but I trust the developers will come up with a way that we can preserve the results on our larger devices with as few clicks as possible. Bravo!

Useful and Fun. I like Petey a lot. Add the complication. Hit the button. Get answers. The one thing keeping me from giving Petey 5 stars is the lack of preferences. I never want to use the keyboard. I want to open the app, and have it listen. Or, I want to open the app, and hit a button to have is listen. The small microphone tap target is not ideal.

Really disappointing…so far. I’ve installed it fine. That’s not the issue. The issue is it routinely provides incorrect or useless information. For example, I asked it who the current manager was of Manchester United football club. It answered, in a very strange sounding almost unintelligible voice, the manager of Manchester United football club as of 2021 was. ole gunnar solskjaer. So, that was right, but this is March 2023. Asked who the Prime Minister of the UK was, was told it was Boris Johnson. Asked it for TV listings: it said it didn’t have those. Asked for sports schedules: same. As it stands, this app is less than worthless. No answers and wrong or dated answers. Feels like I’m using a different app than the one whose glowing reviews are all over the web.

Almost there. Love having the ability to get concise answers to complicated questions quickly on my Apple Watch! I do wish I could tap the Petey complication and be brought directly to the voice prompt without having to tap a few times. Having to tap the tiny microphone icon can get annoying. I would rate 5 stars if this were the case Update: Read some reviews and It seems this is one person or a small team working on this app. I want to say great job with this and keep up the good work!!

Siri doesn't know petey. i’m surprised to find that more people don’t know that you can simply raise your watch & just say 'open ' or 'set timer'. But Siri does not know the new name of petey although you can still open it with Watcht GPT. very nicely designed. did you also program the Mac GPT app? If so, it needs an open on logon feature or at least stay on window on logon launch feature. thanks, /guy

Functionality is Great. Works great. Minor glitch with complication button face, doesn’t render correctly on my Watch Series 5. A suggestion would be an option so it could read off answer.

So disappointing how buggy this app is for Apple Watch and beyond. 1. No option to continue audio speech. While rusty is down or screen. Turns off so 15 seconds is all you have. not sure how this can happen will remain after I’ve spent money on this 2. Impossible to change Samantha voice to Siri voice on Apple Watch. When consulting with GPT chat itself, no other, it says I need to switch the voice of VoiceOver under accessability, however, and that may be an apple issue that the developer needs to solve if they want to enable voice through this feature, it does not download any other voice, and the download button does not work. It should be possible to change the mechanical Samantha voice to something a little bit more reasonable. 3 according to the Support page, the app should be working on the iPhone if it, if not through directly, but they pressing link, however, mentioning I do not need to redeem the offer. Unfortunately without redeeming the offer it to the app and redeeming the offer requires a 499, 699 subscription per month and on the watch it is a one time fee plus I paid for the version 4. To summarize, there’s no benefit at all in the Apple Watch the way it works right now, the quality of the infrastructure from the same developers of the app, especially for watch all night and day.

Works great. After some challenges with getting the app installed on my watch (I needed to install from the watch app rather than through the iPhone) all working great now.

Pretty Good. Couple of things - Scott Morrison is no longer the Prime Minister of Australia and it would be difficult for Charlie Watts to be a current member of the Rolling Stones when sadly he is no longer with us. Still some room for improvement.

Bought the Watch app and can’t install the iOS app. I bought the app for the Apple Watch and wanted to install the iOS app. I can’t. App just says purchase with no option to install on my iPhone.

Very cool, very fun.. Very cool, very fun. Is there any option to change the robotic text to speech voice, it’s very jarring. Also can we please have a copy option for the results, would facilitate ios clipboard continuity allowing paste on iPhone/iPad for convenience.

Can’t download. I got Petey for the watch first. Then I tried to download the iOS version. It tells me that I purchased it but I cannot download it.

Great app and developer. No problems on install or function. Using Modular watch face and sits nicely top left. Auto mic function would be great as would speaker/text toggle but early days in development. Happy to support a developer who is listening to users.

Outdated. It should be more obvious before purchasing that the data is old - from Sept 2021. That’s practically an eternity in terms of Apple Watch years and very frustrating when asking a question. It’s less AÍ than it is an encyclopaedia.

Fraud. It’s just simply fraud

Where did my initial purchase go?. Great app on Apple Watch. I purchased it when it first came out and added it to my watch. Now it’s disappeared from my watch. I find now it’s available as a monthly paid subscription. So after paying initially and supporting the app it’s gone and so has the amount I initially paid for it. That’s not a great way to treat your very early supporters.

Great start, needs to evolve quickly. To avoid being left behind in what’s sure to be a deluge of these kinds of apps, Petey needs to become more fluid and have less friction. For example, I need to be able to ask Petey a question as soon as I click the complication and Petey needs to respond with voice. I want a conversation with Petey rather than a constant tap, type type, type or tap talk tap, talk.

Best Chat GPT client. I tried many chat GPT clients out there. They’re either ugly, or just don’t work. FYI: If you already have an account with Chat GPt, you can use your own API

Great to have AI on your wrist. Lot of the reviews here speak to the limitations of WatchOS, not necessarily this app. If you need a way to query things where Siri comes up short (as Siri does) this is a great alternative.

Love I can use my own API Key. This is a great looking app. Was looking for a watch app that allowed me to use my own API key and found Petey, which is also the nicest looking iPhone app. It does not scale to iPad (yet? Hopefully?) but works well on both phone and watch. Well worth the purchase price.

Wouldn’t download after purchase. Sorry, but I have to give it one star because after I purchased the app, it wouldn’t download for me. I have no idea if it’s an App Store problem or what. However, the app support team WAS very quick to respond, but we couldn’t solve the problem.

Human testing the app. I saw an article about this app in a post so decided to try it once my watch had battery which is rare. 😅As I am also developing with OpenAI’s API I was curious to see the result with Swift. The more important point for now is to be able to share the output into your notes. Not sending a test or email that’s too slow and not the most efficient solution to save a prompt. I would love to pass more parameters in my request but the watch is a bit limiting with the number of inputs and outputs but will have to wait for a device like Neurolink for that. This app made me bullish to also develop apps for iOS.

How do you actually use it?. I hate to sound thick here but how do you actually do anything with this app? I can type my questions just fine but have no clue how to use the speech to text ability that it claims to have. The audio output (speech) is also much too low even when the watch’s volume is turned up. Frustrating experience - a walk through or tutorial would be nice. It has promise but needs some work.

Very cool and quite useful. Having something as sophisticated as GPT-4 on your wrist is honestly some sci-fi nonsense that I really enjoy. It’s useful, sure, but also just really entertaining and neat to show off. The app functions quite well, the interface and settings are intuitive and the graphics are cute. The convenience offered here is definitely worth the initial price + GPT-4 upgrade cost, since it spares you having to get an API key and all of the other associated hassles. Honestly, kudos to the dev for putting this together, it’s a great little app. I do have a few qualms, mostly just in terms of polish, but none make me any less likely to recommend the app. The main usage quirk that takes away from it a bit is the need to go through so many interaction steps to input your question and get an answer. There are also a few glitches, mainly in that some questions will result in it failing to respond, and the voice readout of answers tends to be inconsistent—sometimes repeating itself or stopping short, etc. There is also a significant delay between giving an input and receiving an answer, but I imagine this is server related and not fixable by the dev. None of these are huge, but I do want to mention them. Overall, I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t want this on their watch. It’s kind of crazy to think that we even can. Subscription needed even after paying for the app. I saw an article mention this app so I decided to give it a go, as I’m a current user of chatGPT 4 through web-browser. I normally do not pay for apps, but knowing the power behind chatGPT I thought I would make an exception and purchase this app, only to find out that they charge a further $7.99 per month. It’s one or nothing… who pays for an app only to pay for a subscription…

the best at what it does. petey does exactly as described, it's super intuitive and seems to get frequent updates. i appreciate being able to bring my own key and circumvent paying for an additional subscription. nice touches like theming and alternative icons are appreciated. this is my new go-to for gpt on the go, so thanks to the dev for a great app.

Should be single click. Ok, so I click on the complication, then I have to click on “ask me anything”, then I have to click on the microphone to submit my question, then I have to click on done. Then, after hearing the result, I have to click done again to clear it. It should be: click on complication, start talking (question), it waits a moment of “dead air”, processes the question, speaks/types result, then auto-clears in a few seconds returning you to your watch face.

Custom API Key. It will not accept any API key I’ve generated from OpenAI. Total waste of money as I’m not subscribing when the description says I can enter my own key. Will be requesting refund unless developer fixes and responds.

I bought it for nothing. I paid $4.99 for the software a few months ago and paid 3.99 to upgrade GPT4. It didn't work for a while. Today, I found that I started charging again. I didn't find any compensation?

Don’t send feedback this wonderful vendor feedback. Does vendor doesn’t allow a reply to their poor stated reply why you should pay more, that should speak volume to the customers base.

Lazy?. Seems nothing like chatgpt. I purchased the gpt-4 upgrade and every answer is 1-3 words of a generic response that most often fails to answer the question.

It wont work with my Apple Watch. When I finished the question, it always show up “ the internet connection appears to be offline “ and doesn’t work at all. But my internet connection was good.

I feel ripped off. I paid $5 to download the app just to find out I have to pay $6.99 a month to actually get the service. It says I can bypass that by using my API key. I have no idea what an API key is. I want my $5 back!

Slow Responses and buggy. The responses are so slow I could open chatgpt on my phone, type it in, get a response, and read it by the time this thing shows up. The UI is fairly buggy and inconsistent.

Super Useful. Great use of Apple Watch complications and quick turnaround with bug fixes make this an extremely useful integration with ChatGPT on your wrist. Well done!

Impressive. It required an update but eventually it installed. Works great. Way way smarter than Siri!

GPT 4. I have a plus account with open AI. I don’t see how to connect to that to use GPT 4.

Installation and voiceover issues. Like several others I have not been able to get this app to install on my watch, I need to launch it from the watch App Store every time I use it, and as a blind voiceover user, the app does not work with voiceover at all. Sorry, learn about some accessibility, as this could be a very useful app for the blind.

“Purchased”. I had WatchGpt installed on my Apple Watch Ultra and now it has vanished from the watch. I tried to add Petey but all it shows in the App Store is “Purchased”. I paid real money for it but cant use or re-download it!

Just shows “Thinking…”. It worked for like 5 times. Then it doesn’t work anymore. It gets stuck on the “thinking…” screen.

Pay to Everything. Paid to buy, pay to use, a bit of a scam. Haven’t used it refuse to pay again want my money back.

Needs auto-listen feature. Works but needs to auto listen to voice. I made it a complication too. Here are the steps: (1) set as complication, (2) tap app, (3) tap mic, (4) tap “done”… THEN you get your response. Not very useful. But if I could tap and speak, that would be a game changer.

Missing some key features. Nice app overall, but would like to see some conversations being saved and Petey remembering things we talked about. ChatGBT does this very well on the web. Will adjust review and rating once things are more robust.

Purchased doesn’t load. Purchased and downloaded, doesn’t appear on watch ap list on phone or watch.

Normal API Keys Do Not Work. I paid for this app because I thought I could use it the same way that I use MacGPT via my ChatGPT Plus account. That is not the case. This should be spelled out clearly. It is not.

Can’t find it in watch. I have purchased it for two days,But I can’t find it in my watch.

Disappeared. Purchase for watch, worked fine until new version came out. Now it’s not on my watch, and when I go to the App Store, the button verifies purchased, but is grayed out and won’t let you redownload and restore. Please advise.

Siri integration would be a game changer. Please allow me to just raise my wrist and say “ask Petey ” and have Watch respond in speech.

Meh... needs some work. Sure it does what it's supposed to and writes content but unlike other apps it's extremely slow to respond and is "thinking" a lot and doesn't keep your history so you can go back to view conversations or work you've submitted. Nice aesthetics though.

Doesn’t even try sometimes. Sometimes it doesn’t even try to answer the questions . Siri actually gave more of an answer, which is saying something. When you can’t even beat Siri yikes. Waste of money so far

Worth every penny. Really great AW app - works seamlessly and provides quick responses. IAP for $2.99 is a steal - grab it before the 4/1 price increase.

Slow!!. Purchased the app right away but seems extremely slow; contain to Siri shortcut of Open AI API.

Doesn’t work. Just displays “Thinking…”.. Tried a couple of times, it just displays “Thinking…” for hours. I couldn’t find a way to cancel, other than deleting the app.

Error. Can’t use it, bad file descriptor.

Does not work. Bug fix 15 hours ago might have introduce more. It straight up does not work at all. I input anything, speech or written and hit “done” and it then freezes and does nothing.

Issue with installing on phone. I’ve had it on my watch for several weeks. The new version will not install on my phone. It just says “purchased” in the upper right corner with no way to install.

Money spend used one time. After I spend my money it’s asking me to upgrade or restore endless cycle it $5 waisted not so intelligent user interface would like my money back not cool in purchase apps use any one else having this problem It’s working fine now and very useful. The loop is associated with a setting parameter. I had to enable passcode on my Apple Watch to break the loop. Don’t know if the apps requires it or not but I’m Glad that I installed this apps. Pretty good app and also feature request.. Hey there! So I use this app on Apple Watch and I really like it! I bought the GPT-4 addition and I say it’s pretty good! Now for the request: So I notice that the app does take memory on the Apple Watch and that got me thinking; could it be possible to access past conversations on the Apple Watch? Don’t know; just a thought.

Bait and switch. The App Store says that there is a one time fee of $4.99. When I open the app it says I must subscribe. I wonder how this made it past apples otherwise robust fraud prevention.

Good, works but need to reverse chat history. The newest needs to show on top, long conversations have to swipe down to the end… flip the oldest to bottom and newest response on top

It works, but needs work…. It seems to answer my questions pretty quickly, but the answers are too brief. Also the text to speech is very very low and I can barely hear it and I do not see a way to increase the volume. It also needs the option to default to dictation rather than to typing out the question with the keyboard which takes forever. I’ll give it five stars when these things have been corrected.

Cannot stop subscription. I installed Petey and then purchased ChatGPT - but I cannot unsubscribe from from either! Petey works on my watch, but does not show up on installed apps. I cannot uninstall it. This smells like a scam.
