Superb. These lectures are extremely interesting and useful. What Watts has to say is the foundation of human culture, ideas that anyone can employ to deeply appreciate the present moment and become a vastly more interesting individual.

Probably my favorite of the Alan Watt apps. Some of these lectures I have never heard before elsewhere. Great content as always!

DOES NOT WORK WITH iOS 11!!!. do not purchase this product until the developers upgrade it to work with iOS 11 or later. it has completely shut down as of that release. it cannot currently be accessed at all.

We need this today. I get something new every time I listen. Alan Watt's messages are timeless. 40 or 50 years ago his message of respect for our planet and our inseparable relationship to it were barely heard by a very few. It holds true today, and still only some are listening. It gives me solace and inspiration to listen to these lectures. These lectures and others should be more mainstream. I also appreciate his comments on religion- I am weary of dogma and the strife it causes, again I 'm elevated by his wisdom. Thank you for keeping them alive.

Great Lectures, Inferior App. I listen to these lectures when I clean house, so for three or four hours I feel like I'm in one if those lecture halls. I get a near-total Alan Watts experience. The app, you will want to know, has no idea where you last left off, so you must listen completely or be willing to listen again. But, if you know Alan Watts, then you're already familiar with hearing it all before. Still, the app should be a tool not merely a playback device, which this one is. Improvements this app needs: Remember where you last listened w amount listened to viewable from TOC. Ability to take notes, star, or pinpoint important moments so you can reflect on those ideas later. Higher legibility. The display is low contrast and ugly.

Love these!. I was worried about past reviews before the app was updated. You can rewind, fast forward, stop and start from dead screen... all that! Great works of art!

Critical Need. Updating?. March 29, 2017 Love these apps but these beautiful lectures will be gone if you don't update these apps soon before the next iOS. St least is there any where we can download the lectures? I found a way. Open the ipa file with Macs Archive Utility. A folder will be created in the same folder as the ipa file. Inside this new folder you will find all the lectures as generic numbered MP3 files.

Do not think, just buy.... This app is amazing, but if the developers are reading this, please raise the inherent volume of the app, my speakers play it very softly, even at maximum volume.

Marvellous collection!. I very much enjoyed his discussion about ecological awareness. I had never heard these talks before and they were very insightful so I am quite grateful!

Excellent!. What can one say about Allan Watts' work? He really has taken over where Joseph Campbell left off and it seems to me his message, which is one of synthesis of Eastern philosphies for Western minds, is more in need now than any time in the recent past. Much of what he speaks of continues to be relevant because it reflects the human condition and this isn't likely to change any time soon. I was also impressed at times by his prescience over things that were merely speculation when he contemplated them, now they have either happened or are close to happening. But this isn't the point of these lectures, he is not about predicting but about the here and now. Savour these talks and mull them over. Watts repeats himself more than a few times but good teachers will do that. He was an erudite scholar and an accomplished speaker with a gift for making things relatable. If I had one complaint it was the volume on these apps which despite having cranked up was to my ears still rather lacking but these tapes are of course close to fifty years old so quite understandable under the circumstances.
