Great community for great content. This app has replaced NYT as the first thing I check every morning—quality news from multiple sources, with smart commentary. I don’t comment often, but I love the concept!

A different type of news app.. Very cool app for news consumers such as myself. I watch and read EVERYTHING that’s floats down the proverbial propaganda pike - just to see what goes on across all networks. That can be exceptionally exhausting, so it’s nice to have some stories picked/ curated to read - and to hear opinions without getting into an all out battle with my friends or family on Facebook.

Saw CEO on Fox Business ... Tried but Disappointed. Underwhelming user interface, uninviting selection of experts (Crowley and Bremmer, huh?), editors picks appeared too slanted, user picks were limited and odd (cf. Quora) ... have tried a number of FB / social media and news readers alternatives and this one doesn’t cut it, yet ... lots of room for improvement

Not Functional. Downloaded on my iPad and started browsing. It looked interesting so I tried to create a profile but the app got stuck on that page. I deleted and reinstalled multiple times and it kept coming back to the profile page and would not let me move off of that page after completing the profile. Not too functional so deleted for good.

A relief from Apple News. Nice to be able to curate news rather than being force fed the shallow compost plaguing Apple news.

Notification settings?. I appreciate the app, but I am wondering if there could be more options for notifications. Right now it is either all or nothing, and with notifications on I will get several per day. I would appreciate if I could have an option for once or twice per day.

Thought I’d found a neutral news source.... I downloaded this app when I read the comments are monitored. I was tired of partisan name calling and non-reflective thinking. I’ve missed the intelligent conversations since Andrew Sullivan closed down the Daily Dish. I also wanted to read about something other than Trump’s latest act of crazy. But I’ve got to exit when there’s so little attention to the glaring news that the President of the U.S. has been implicated in a criminal act and there’s a sort of la-de-da, non headline status about it. I can get that from FOX News. Let me know when your biases keep you from reporting what every other news source around the world knows is destabilizing headline news.

Great Concept but needs work. I downloaded and walked through the process. Good UI, great concept but your articles and posts are CLEARLY slanted and obviously pro-liberal. I would suggest at MINIMUM adding some unbiased or at least a better mix of opinions or “news” but after the 15th news feed complaining about our First Lady’s jacket...I realized this was just another news source with their priorities confused. Thanks but no thanks.

Great way to get the news. This app has become my go to for all of my news. It has quickly overtaken Facebook as my first-opened app. The app developers have worked tirelessly to create and maintain an atmosphere that promotes intelligent and respectful reflection and conversation. I would highly suggest downloading this app!

Innovative. Newspicks is a smart and an innovative creation based on a news app. It has everything a news app should have.

Good, definitely some what one sided.. There is a definite bias which I dont think could be attributed to the creators per se, but the rating system of commenters kind of allows a majority rule over the app. It is good they have allowed to block certain commenters, however. I dont think its very productive to not allow replies in that it does not allow any discussion or debate over certain view points and just allows the most popular comments to be shown with no rebuttals.

Has potential. I downloaded the app directly from an ad on facebook that said “I’m tired of getting my news from facebook.” Two or three days in I find it sending too much business-related news, and I’m picking articles and waiting for it to learn that I’m interested in education. Seems like it has potential.

Amazing app for curating news and expert commentary. Love this app. It makes it easy to stay updated on news and trust it due to the expert commentary that can call out any bs :)

I’m addicted! Great App!. I love NewsPicks, the almost endless selection of quality news , the highly intelligent users, and even just the aesthetics of the app itself. I’ve become addicted to getting my mail on NewsPicks everyday. It’s such a great way to start my day, I find that it makes my day more interesting when I’m thinking of the whole Tesla debacle , or thinking about an 100 year old giant clam that was recently found. The user base is friendly. I am often amazed at how this app is filled to the brim with CEOs , writers, Musicians, and even comedians. The whole app has completely changed my day to day, and it deserves to grow and prosper. All in all I’m more than happy with this app, and I strongly recommend it to anyone with an interest in current events. Again, GREAT APP I plan on continuing to use it👍 -Croissant King

A remarkable community is emerging. This is my first week on NewsPicks and I am already addicted. It is the thoughtful comments from my peers on reported events that I find interesting and worth reading. NewsPicks is going to be my frequent 5-minute crack for some time.

Best News App Available. NewsPicks has the best quality news and also allows readers to see articles without paywalls. Very valuable.

Awesome app. Great central source of relevant news and high level discussions. Newspicks is a more responsible and intelligent platform for media opinions and commentary. It’s now the first app I open every day.

What?. At first, I wondered where all these wonderful stories were coming from. These people have their act together, and are a very good fit for me. Their work on customizing really shows!

Improve knowledge. This is app can be used to improve my knowledge, every day I learn new things about the how the world works and what is happening around me.

Perfect Layout for News. Gives the lead-in, you select more if you want more detail. It may end up replacing FB News Feed by just clicking on the icon.

Fake news app. I was hoping this news app would provide “fair” news but turns out to be like all the rest, FAKE. Fake news plus fake resources can only lead to a fake news app. It’s all about “left wing” opinions and if your comments don’t agree with what they “tell” you to think, BOOM, comments deleted, which,by the way, is what’s gonna happen to this news app and they can’t do a thing about it. Don’t waste your time on this app.

Really great but. Really beautiful design and good content but I still don't completely understand the app. Please update this app page to English!

My publisher. It is surprising seeing that I can access to particular news publishers like CNN and other stations too. What an app!

Uncommon. This app is nothing like another news app, it is totally different than the others. I can comment on news and get recognized by other viewers.

News News News. Nice One stop News Shop. Just need to make it more attractive and brighter.

Awesome way of reading news. I like a lot about this app. It’s very user friendly, they show you how to pick feeds and sort them. And reading and feeling included in discussions is really easy to do. If there was one thing I could change it would be easier scrolling through feeds. For example it’s easy to feel like you are scrolling through a hundred articles when you just want to get to sports or something. It would be nice to have tabs representing sections that you prioritize for more convenient maneuvering so to speak.

Good but one flaw. Great news aggregator. The use of pro “pickers” helps you find news of special interest to you. One annoying flaw: your news feed can show the same story multiple times if it’s run by multiple news outlets.

My new favorite news app. Great way to keep up with the latest news and an even better way to get insightful comments from the thought-leaders in my industry. I really enjoyed being able to add my own insight and perspective on the topics I’m interested in. It’s super easy, fun, and I have no idea how they are getting such well known thought leaders to comment on the same articles I read but its awesome! Must try!

Used to be great but new feed is awful. One of my favorite features of NewsPicks when I downloaded it was the ability to search and watch topics completely of my own choosing. Now with the “refresh” I am limited to a restricted set of topics or outlets that interest me much less. Hope they fix this soon or there won’t be much reason for me to use it.

Great News. I'm always on the go and I'm able to get my news fast with this app.

Another one sided new app. I like the idea of the app and it’s design, unfortunately there is a definite bias, promoting the liberal point of view. The news sites that support this view figure prominently, this appears to come from the editors and supported by the viewers. A suggestion to fix this is allow us to block stories, individual commentators, or even particular editors. If this is instituted I will try the app again. Simply allowing us to design a news feed of thing we like is not enough. Response to developer note: When I click on the three dots I have two options, open in Safari or copy link. Perhaps you need to sign in using email or social network to have this feature work.

Different...... It took me a minute to get use to this app. It is not like other 'news' apps. It really is a concise version of major news apps with insightful interactions from journalist and many people that are like minded. Very well put together. A widget would be a nice addition so that we can take a quick glimpse at what's trending. Also, would like a sound when getting alerts.

Newsfeed setup. The interface of the app is just amazing, it gives a very professional feeling to it, the newsfeed setup is very cool.

Just OK. Nothing really special. Too little content to be very compelling. The last straw was when it insisted on me turning on notifications. I know I could have just tapped yes and then no in the iOS dialogue, but the decision to try and trick me into thinking I had no choice caused me to view this negatively and remove the app.

Great news app. This app has a great news curation system and the comments integration is the best I’ve seen. However it needs an option to increase font size because it’s too small!

App for a country w/o political views like Japan. Uzabase must have had a fundamental lack of understanding of the U.S. before deciding to pay Mr. Bradley $75mil. The app concept works in a country like Japan, where political divide is minimal and journalism is expected to be ”neutral.” In a country where people have real opinions, it serves only a segment of the population at best, and those who understand quality journalism don’t find commentaries by these PRO-labeled amateurs meaningful. There’s a reason why four out of the world’s ten largest newspapers by circulation are Japanese, where WSJ is ranked 15th.

Simple to use. The app is also very easy to use, all the settings and the controls of the app is made simple and easy to grasp.

Great news app - FINALLY!!👍🏼. I have (should say had) CNBC, CNN, NBC local, Reuters. I have deleted ALL of them and replaced with NewsPicks. Very intuitive choices to customize your newsfeed by topic, person, and read their comments in a user friendly format. Simple, elegant, customizable in the right way , very good user interface

Accurate news. The new in t.v is different and news in newspicks has a conclusion by the professionals as the real and accurate news on what happened.

Japanese stuck. I loaded it down and it defaults to Japanese with no way to select English. Cannot read the help options in Japanese. Stuck !!!

Useless.... There isn’t much of a point of aggregating all these news sources unless you already have subscriptions to everything. Any source you don’t have a subscription to you just get hit with a paywall, and you don’t even get the “3 free articles” that you get through other platforms like facebook. Not their fault, but definitely makes the app pretty useless for me. Disappointing because I was actually really excited for this concept. Perhaps consider expanding to a one price subscription option with access to all featured articles.

Jerks. I don't know how this got installed on my phone. You cannot delete the app. Their user agreement says you can stop the service by going to the app store where there are instructions. BS! No such thing. This is persistent scam and possibly malware. I need to bring this up with Apple.

Not what it says it is. It’s garbage. Add it to the pile of literally all journalism at present. An embarrassing attempt at a product.

Boring and not worth it. I saw an ad on instagram and I thought I’d try it out. I don’t see anything that makes this app stand out. Seems pretty boring and I get less news from it. I’d much rather stick with Flipboard over this app or any news apps!

One of the WORST “news” app. Seriously, if you don’t consciously remind yourself that most of the users are Japanese and you are reading in Japanese, you would be thinking you are in a CIA inner party swarmed with people like Mike Pompeo.

Great app, small fonts!. Super small fonts on an iPhone X. Hard to read. Please add in a font sizing option!

“My News” still terrible. The latest 9.0.1 update hasn’t fixed the “My News” feature. News still placed illogically and unable to use the app intuitively destroying the reading experience. Please resume the former STREAMLINED “My News” ASAP.

Same as CNN. I wanted to like this app, but it pushes out the exact same stories as CNN or any other major network. I customized my feed, but I’m still fed endless headlines about Trump, golf, and Alex Jones. It’s annoying and no different than the generic mainstream stories I see everywhere else. The commenting feature is also pointless, as there is no way to engage in conversation with someone else. Overall I’m not sure what the point of this app is.

What in Chineses?. I saw your info on Fox news, and I tried to download the NewsPicks app. I am living in Costa Rica, and the only app choice I had was Chinese and I think Arabic. I think you need to look into this issue. There are a lot of English speaking people in Costa Rica, that would be interested in this app. Good luck.

Potential. But sources used have unreliable...

Select which news feed sources I want. I’m not a fan of some news sources and would like the ability to customize....not leave it up to your staff to decide which sources I have to look at.

My take on NewsPicks So Far As A New User. 1) I like the concept of exposing people to more diverse ideas and people. 2) The size of the text in the app needs to be larger, or give users a choice of sizes to choose from. 3) More subject areas need to be offered.
