Great App has a few problems though. Minor but great.. Honestly. Used to love the app. It seemed like a good alternative to FBs drama and IG’s fakeness but I’ll tell you this. It’s all a lie. It’s like reddit combined with FB, IG and Twitter but worse. People can spam images and basically farm points like there’s not tomorrow. I’ve been on a year and got 13,000 points. Roughly 300 comments and 10 images the entire time I’m on. Guy joins 3 months and posts 20 images a day and farms 64,000 points. The people are okay in the main area. There’s no sub areas so everything goes into mainstream basically creating a giant trash pit of sad stories, memes, political pictures and other things that you’ll realize. I could this find on Facebook. Another thing is the letter count. It’s so awful. It’s like Twitter’s and it can get annoying when you’re in a discussion with someone and you can’t say all you have to say on one thing. Overall I’d say, check it out but also get reddit and join one of there communities and compare the 2. Quantity vs Quality is how I see it.

Absolute tragedy. They prioritize cramming ads down ur throat but not basic site maintenance. So many ads, it barely loads at all and just freezes for several seconds no matter your internet speeds. If u scroll by an ad it will open the link if you, even by accident, touch the link while scrolling. And there are so many its impossible to go 5 seconds without an entire site loading at random. Comments won’t be posted at random so you can’t ever finish talking to someone. Id be embarrassed to be associated with the site. Id give 0 stars if it let me. It was fine in the beginning but whoever is in charge now couldn’t care less about running the app. Id say fix it, but we all know they either don’t know how or are completely uninterested in running a community

What happened to simple photo hosting?. UPDATE- Now you have to choose 5 things to follow to finish signing in. It can't be topics you choose either, you have to choose from the extremely limited pool of options they give you. Total garbage. I am going to look for new hosting options. I miss the days when imgur was a traditional photo host that allowed you to just upload pictures and organize them into albums. Now you can't do anything with your albums on a mobile device and have to make a social-media style post rather than just upload a picture. I'm sure this app is technically fine, but it completely misses the mark in its feature set. The desktop website is headed the same direction. I guess it's time for me to find a new hosting service.

Horrible Anymore. This site is awful now. It’s one big far left circle jerk. I used to love coming on Imgur and used it since the very beginning. It was always good for a laugh. Now every post is just hateful garbage. They hate conservatives, women, and fat people (specifically fat women) with such unbridled rage that it will really blow your mind. I’m a woman and the incels are thick. I finally deleted the app a while back and haven’t thought about it much since. If there’s a post where a woman gets punched in the face you’ll hear a lot of MRA slogans like, “Equal rights means equal lefts!” Seriously??? If your opinions differs at all they’ll set upon you with the most vile attacks ever calling you a racist, smooth brain, idiot, etc. anything they can think. Become part of the hive mind and don’t think for yourself at all or question anything and maybe you’ll enjoy this singular thought cesspool. I’m off to greener pastures.

More Ads With Your Memes. Yes, Emerald is a thing, but I find it annoying and concerning that regular users are being pushed more and more ads. The latest update to the app now shows, in addition to the standard ad bar at the bottom of the screen, an ad at the bottom of the post before you reach the comments. Don’t forget, this is on top of the ad that shows up if you click to see more comments. So, every single post you see will have at least two ads, more of you open comments or scroll down the page. This is also all on top of the full-page ad you’ll see every 5th post. Moreover, Imgur is known to use less-than-ideal ad network providers, which opens up a whole other set of security concerns. Nice job guys.

Back In My Day.... Dear Reader, Back in 2012 when I first became a member of imgur, the site was a great get away. It was a fantastic way to unwind after work for 15 minutes get a few laughs and continue with my day. It was efficient, straightforward, and fun. Now, though, it’s loaded with ads and slower than any app I’ve ever used. It starts off alright, but slows down 2-3 images in. After that it’s slow to transition from one .gif to the next. God forbid you run your finer over an ad. It’ll sit there and spin for a minute then load up an ad you care nothing about. At this point, you have to close the app completely and restart it, assuming you want to continue dealing with it. Back in my day it was fun. Back in my day it was efficient. Back in my day imgur was the place to be. Now it’s inefficient and a reminder of how the internet (a reflection of the world) just isn’t what it once was. There’s usually animals, so that deserves a star.

Pros and Cons. Pros: • Lots of communities. • Plethora of Images. • Ability to set post to “public” or “hidden”. • Useful for linking things in Discord/Reddit • Friendly UI • *Refer to other reviews for more Cons: • Stolen posts from other sites • Stolen content without source • Can find the same things on Reddit • Not so friendly community (personal experience) • Bots/Trolls • Few unique posts • *Refer to other reviews for more IMO I use the app for uploading pictures so I can link them in other sites if I can’t post an image directly. It’s helpful for that alone. You can find about ~85% of the same content on Reddit and other sites. So if you need an app for showing images to others through a link then this app is just right for you. Otherwise, I would suggest using other sites for forum style things since Imgur isn’t really best suited for it. I encourage you to test it out though and see how it feels for yourself. (2 star because I’m honestly fed up with the community in general and how as a newcomer I was treated poorly as well as how most of the content is stolen and doesn’t give credit)

Ads ruin everything again. Every single update lately adds more ads in various places. Below posts, below comments, halfway through comment threads, halfway through pic dumps, after every 3 posts, and in the grid view. Every single spot they could have squeezed and ad in, has an ad. Ads play audio without permission so you have to be sure your phone is muted at all times. Now the ads load videos randomly that then open a full screen video player without asking which is disgusting enough on its own but it also locks out swipe gestures so you have to find the x button to close the video or literally force close the app because the ad locked it up and hijacked all control. User experience is no longer given any thought, it’s now “ad experience”.

I’m going to continue to use it, but something has to change. Look, I understand an occasional reboot and losing my place. However, I’m halfway into a comment get a text or look at google I expect to at the very least be on the same image when I get back to Imgur. Maybe don’t have what I had written but at least I can find it easily enough and continue where I left off. But, every single time I leave the app it crashes and resets. For something that resets and changes where and what you were looking at it’s almost impossible to find the image or comment I was trying to reply to. It’s so frustrating and is actually make me angry enough to stop using the app for awhile until I forget and go to use it to forget about time. THIS, is what will make me leave if nothing is done. Or have a history tab so I can go look at what I’ve viewed recently if your gonna crash everytime I leave the app to text or google something.

Do you like to spend forever in the bathroom. I’ve used this app for many years and it has caused several family members to wonder if I had some sort of health issues based on the sheer amount of time I will spend on the toilet. This app has literally made people think I have severe stomach problems... but totally worth it... the community is pretty cool, pics are funny, plenty of inside jokes and references. Out of all the image sharing sites this is my favorite one. If you’re on there find me lahdidahdi or find me in Facebook Lea jones in Hollywood 😊

Inferior to the mobile website. I look at imgur for images not for comments. If I want comments I’ll look at reddit. The problem with the mobile app is that each post is cluttered with other annoying and unwanted information such as comments, links, and tags and there is an unwanted toolbar persistent at the bottom of the screen. The result is that only 50% of the screen is dedicated to the actual image. Also, on the website, if you click the ‘view more’ button, it expands the the additional posts inline. The app takes you to a different page, requiring going back and forth a lot. Personally I hate this and much prefer the contiguous browsing experience of the website. All in the app provides an very unpleasant image viewing experience. As an aside, that you can no longer hide the ‘view in app’ button on the mobile website is pretty effing obnoxious. How bout this- make the app better than the website, catering to my and I assume others desire to view images more fluidly.

Imgur “temporarily” over capacity for over a year…. For over a year now, both the app and website have been completely unusable/unreachable with any browser Imgur link as well as just trying to open the app itself. In fact, at this point, I am just flat out unable to access Imgur’s services. Imgur’s app was actually quite nice (for browsing), and the occasional notifications you’d get felt quite kind. Unfortunately, with this overcapacity thing going on for so long, Imgur being the world’s largest database for accessible and shareable digital media is just a myth at this point (and I imagine no longer even possible with the unregistered user change). I do not know if this is a case of IP banning or targeted device exclusion, as this happens about 75% of the time on pc and 100% on iOS, regardless of whether I am connected to internet through mobile (3/4/5g) or a wide variety of static internet access points like routers in different locations. No VPN, tried with at least 3 different ISP’s. Also, this is the web version of the error: {"data":{"error":"Imgur is temporarily over capacity. Please try again later."},"success":false,"status":403} . TL;DR: Imgur App and website forever inaccessible, not worth downloading or using an app for a service that basically doesn’t exist.

Great and (at times) Enlightening Time-waster. This community is fantastic, even the trolls make you laugh at times. If you have yet to experience Imgur, please do yourself a favor and try it out.... sometimes it can take a couple of days to get hooked and see the beauty of this community. It’s five star hands down. Now as for this version... I gave it four stars because the notifications seems broken, at least for me. It shows that I have them but when I open the app and select notifications it never generates anything other than “Imgur-verse” instructionals. I know how hard you guys work to squash these little bugs, which I’m uber thankful for, and I’m hopeful this will be corrected shortly.

Days gone. Imgur used to be fun, then it went towards the money and more and more ads. Constantly trying to push its users to use the “updated view” which looks hideous (kakis meme here) and reacts terribly. I joined Imgur back in 2010, back when it was more of the Wild West but still tried to maintain its PCness. The users had more control and you didn’t have an ad trying to sell you on a terrible movie or a new blender or XYZ. The app runs terribly it crashes and it now forces users to put your phone number into it so that it can “verify” your account. I can tell you that I put a fake number into it, with no previous contacts, the number I didn’t use for anything had for 10 days before putting into the app and a day later got an automated call. Imgur. I. Am. Done. No faith in you, you sold out on your site, sold out from what you were made for, sold info and have an awful app.

Impossible to Use. For several years now, the app has been progressively getting wide and worse. It’s too the point bias that regardless of the device I’m on, I have maybe 5 minutes before the app stutters and crashes. That entire time it’s making my devices burning hot and draining battery like nothing else I’ve ever used. That’s when I’m not getting punted to external sites or the App Store by increasing intrusive ads. The app is simply unusable, and over the course of YEARS it’s clear Imgur is either incapable or unwilling to provide its users (and their ad revenue) with a usable app experience. Even using their website, it’s nothing but crashes and hangs and failures to load, when ad loading doesn’t jerk the page location around almost continually. I’m not sure what Imgur’s aversion is to not tormenting their monetary base, but it’s ridiculous and a wholly broken model. And now they want us to buy paid subscriptions? Why should anyone pay a single penny for something you can’t even access without hours of frustration and a dead battery in an hour? This is simply a complete failure of an app, and a complete failure of a company to provide any kind of reasonable user experience.

It gets worse every time. Let me first correct the description: Imgur is not the easiest way to discover spicy memes. There is a fresh batch of spambot posts every minute. Your phone is about to get slower, hotter, and most definitely less funny. Recent updates have proven the company has loss regard for its users and focused a little too much on how the can extract money by making viewing posts less user friendly by the minute. I understand that this is a free app and a business model must make money, but beware of floating ad bars, adds between every few posts, adds in the middle of threads, and so on. And they aren't just ads; they are intrusive, prompt users to download malware on the regular, show pornographic images, and freeze a post when they fail to load (which, again, is a common occurrence). When I joined a few years ago, I would have, without a doubt, given Imgur 6 stars. This is the only way we are able to speak up, as posts challenging the company are deleted within the app itself.

Imgur used to be great. I’ll start off by saying I don’t use Facebook, twitter, tik tok, etc… I started visiting Imgur sometime in 2013. It was a great place to go for funny stories, tv and movie reviews, or just to take a break from everyday stress. Notice I said “was”. As soon as Donald Trump was elected it drastically changed. Everything was anti Trump. I supported him, but I didn’t use this platform to shove my beliefs down everyone’s throats. I believed it couldn’t get any worse, but I was so wrong. Covid happened. Every other post was either someone screaming “ WEAR A MASK”, or “STAY HOME”, or other such nonsense. If anyone out there wants to be on the only true free speech platform, get on GAB. They’re banned from the App Store because they refused to censor anyone. All internet providers refused to let them operate unless they censored. Again GAB refused and they built a totally independent social media site. Find them on the web and add to Home Screen.

Used to be good. Full screen ads that pop up when you aren’t even touching your phone. Ads that hijack clicks. Crashes for me a few times a week. Political posts that are hard to escape from, even with 30 filters configured (why are untagged posts allowed to get to the front page at all?). Images that had already loaded just disappear from the comment section until you exit and reload a post. Navigating back from a post can cause the list to jump and items to get duplicated. I’ve sent in problem reports and uploaded my logs for some of these issues, but they still keep happening. It doesn’t seem like the company still cares about making an enjoyable product since they got acquired. I hope I’m wrong and just unlucky. I appreciate that ad-free is so inexpensive, but it’s hard to want to subscribe to something so buggy when I’m only here for laughs.

Bad programming/UI, has gone downhill in recent years. Imgur was one of my favorite places to upload and share pictures, but in recent years they’ve made this process increasingly difficult. First, they took away the ability to edit images; simple cropping, adding lettering, drawing, etc. why? Now, it’s impossible to add pictures from my uploads to separate albums. If it isn’t, it’s incredibly difficult to find. Speaking of which, the UI is awful. I get that this Imgur is going for a more social media approach and that’s their prerogative, but you don’t have to disable image editing tools. That would make an image sharing app better lol. I found out how to edit my albums(delete photos, rearrange) in the app, but it isn’t intuitive and takes forever to get to work. I have no idea why these changes have been made. Hoping to hop on elsewhere that’s more like the old Imgur.

The ads....SOOOO many ads.. I’m fine with the intermittent ads shuffled between multiple gifs on the same post. I’m fine with the full page ads between posts. The browser redirect ads though are beyond annoying. I tried to address the issue with support because those ads are SUPPOSED to be in violation of Imgur’s policy. Since reporting, it seems as though the amount of these invasive ads has grown exponentially. Every three to five posts and I have to close the App Store popup, then close Safari, and only then can I return to browsing in this poorly maintained, under managed app. I’d suggest avoiding this app if you value your sanity and the security of your phone.

Stupid Stupid Site, Awful App. Recently and gladly deleted this annoying app from my phone and cancelled my account. They expect you to walk a fine line to post things and knit pick posts that aren’t even offensive, often threatening to cancel your membership or ban you altogether. I’ve tried to reconsider their decisions but it’s a waste of time trying. Plus, the whole site is riddled with immature trolls who bullies everything, yet won’t do anything about them or ban the ones who should be banned. I’m done. Reddit is much better with less restrictions.

I miss the old app. I loved this app back when i discovered it like 7 years ago. So many great memes that made bad days a little better. But slowly things have gotten worse and worse. I didn't really mind they changed the way the app looked, or moderated it a little strictly compared to years ago. My problem with really started when adds were implemented into the app. I understand the need to generate revenue but when an add can randomly start blaring sound either in my ears if i have headphones on or the the phones speakers then there comes a time when you have to ask, is there other places i can look at the same stuff that does not annoy me to do so? I think I'm done with this app and hope they figure it out.

They don’t care about the community. The Imgur Devs seem to pride themselves on having at least decent interactions with their community in the past. There was a kind of trust that the devs wouldn’t do anything to drastic to sellout the users. For example, around a year ago they made a promise that they would never have intrusive advertisements, only banner ads. Well they have either forgotten their promises or have decided that they don’t care about the users anymore, since ads will now show up in the middle of posts. I understand that companies that provide a product for “free” need to make revenue somehow, but this is too far. Making ads in intrusive places where people can accidentally click on them, (yes we know it’s on purpose), will turn users away. Not to mention all the malware and dangerous ads that can appear both on the app and website. I’ve been on Imgur since basically the beginning, and it has gone from a small company that I adored to just another sellout.

Slow and Battery Draim. I’ll gladly update this once they fix it, but I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and within the last month Imgur becomes almost unusable. It lags so bad you have to swipe a few times to go to the next image, and I can watch my battery drop by a percent a minute and the phone gets extremely warm. No other app does this and if I force close Imgur and reopen it, it’s fine for a bit and seems very snappy, but within five minutes or so starts to slow down again. It’s almost like the app is loading and caching all these new ads and not releasing it when you go to the next image so the phone is trying to maintain a hundred instances of the ad in the background. Just a guess anyway, there’s some correlation since the new ads were added and since closing it completely and reopening gets it working well for a bit, something is sticking and not releasing resources.

A political cesspool of propaganda. Like the majority of liberal ran social media apps this is a cesspool of extremely biased, one sided propaganda masquerading as an entertainment app. It’s only useful function is as an image hosting tool to share images on other, much better forums. Other than that, it’s complete garbage for the typical angsty, edgy zoomer that dreams about destroying everyone that doesn’t fit her/his narrow, warped worldview, and is just searching for an outlet for their hate. Unlike some apps that are moving away from political drivel, this one is only doubling down on it. Not only that, but the posts are getting more and more extreme. People are actually celebrating the deaths of those that disagree with them, praising pedophiles and encouraging violence against any and all dissent. Not only that, but even the memes that are promoted are all political, and it’s clear so much of this content is generated by bots. People wonder why others are so toxic. Apps like this are your answer.

I love Imgur but.... Tbh I love using Imgur to save photos in my own albums etc., but the only thing I was kind of dissatisfied with was when I guess every time I exceed the number of images in an album, it’ll most of the time rearrange my photos in the album by itself even when I chose not to rearrange my photos that way. If possible, I hope there’ll be a solution for this. And also for every time I put a link or something in the description part of the photos, when I refresh the page, the link will appear to be broken and not together. I hope that'll be fixed soon as well. I still love Imgur though!

Leftist Mouthpiece. Imgur is a leftist garbage propaganda website. It used to be a lot of fun, cat videos, dog memes and smokin hotties in bikini’s all over the front page. Now it’s just an “Orange Man Bad” website. These people are so bitter and eaten up with radical leftism, they cannot help but spew propaganda. If you try to bring up an opposing view point you’re post or comment are downvoted. These downvotes effect your account, and once you reach -200 points your account is banned from commenting or posting. So if you do not support radical left wing communism and you offer a different viewpoint or argument, you’re silenced. Try mentioning how communism was the most dangerous ideology of the 20th century and is responsible for the death of nearly 100 million people. All facts. The Antifa/communists will downvote you, insult you with vile and vulgar threats and even death threats. This is all supported by the radical leftist moderators and creators of the website. It’s disgusting and I’m sure this review will be deleted as well.

Baffling lack of basic functionality. As a standalone app, I’m sure Imgur works fine, but attempting to open a high-resolution image that you found through another service seems to actually be impossible. I found a reddit post with an image I’d like as a wallpaper for my phone. Some users recommended setting the imgur website to desktop mode for a high-res version, but that option has apparently been removed from the web version. Hitting the “open in app” button simply opens the apple store, trying to save the image to my account just tells me that the browser version has been discontinued, and searching the exact title of the image returns no results. Even with the exact imgur URL for the image, there is no way to access it through the app. This should be a simple process. The “Open in App” button should just open the image, but it somehow fails to do even that.

It's the app, not the site. The imgur site itself is an awesome platform. It is the gold standard for meme sharing and banter. My issue is with the app. The app itself is awful. First, if you back out of the app for even 5 seconds, it automatically refreshes itself and you then have to scroll back through everything you've just spent 10 minutes looking at yo get where you were. And this is IF you can ever get back to that point. This is a setting you cannot change. Second, it is constantly giving me the notification bubble and I will visit every screen and there aren't any notifications. This happens all the time. Finally, they ask you to pay money for an ad free experience but half the ads are imgur ads trying to get you to pay to skip ads.. lame.

Turns your phone into a small heater. Imgur is the best app I’ve found for turning your iphone into a small heater. Sometimes there’s an update that breaks this functionality, and my phone stays very cold. However, that problem is usually fixed very quickly. I’ve noticed some changes with the ads, and I’m now able to warm my entire home again with the heat the app causes my iphone to produce. I can’t recommend Imgur enough as the best free phone heater app you can find. I’m assuming it’s the ads and other special sauce that makes this possible, so keep up the good work at adding more ads and data mining! I hope to one day open the app to just ads. ADS! as far as my little fingers can scroll. Then I will be able to provide enough heat for my small village.

Truly disappointed.. The ads are getting ridiculous. I get that they need to make money and I have no problems with that but the ads are just getting more and more invasive. First, they just popped up below the posts. After that, they popped up between images in longer posts and comments. That second one is where it started getting bad. They’d redirect me from imgur even when I didn’t tap them and the app would cause my phone to heat up and lose battery life. Once they fixed those issues, they started putting ads between posts on top of all of the other ad placements. Now, they’ve added new ads that play sound without being tapped and the old malicious ads are back again. I love imgur and its community but the app is so loaded with malicious ads, I’m uninstalling it.

“Cannot Decode”. I have had this app for over 6 years and it’s definitely gone downhill. I get the error “cannot decode” on half of the images so GIFs will not play or pictures will not show up. Then I’ll be scrolling for awhile and it’ll just stop uploading picture all together - just gray. It’s not my wifi or connection. I’d also agree that it stopped being funny memes or new content, it’s all political crap. It’s annoying because I use it before bed to just wind down and used to see cats, peoples cool hobbies, etc and now it’s America politics, war, abortion rights, etc. I can no longer look at “new content” or else that’ll keep my wide awake. I know Imgur has made an effort to get away from this with sponsored content weeks for pets, hobbies, etc but it just hasn’t worked.

Better for content than any other social app. Thanks for restoring tap-to-highlight. Had been missing that feature much more than I expected in recent days. This plus the ability to easily download videos and images to camera roll makes Imgur stand out over every other content app out there. FB, Insta, etc are all turning into content factories and no longer really feel social or have community, but they also make it deliberately unwieldy to save and curate the content.

Too Political. Imgur used to have very wholesome and inspiring stories that would cheer up ones day. Now it headlines constant political posts written by edgy teenagers that promote violence and bullying on literally anybody who doesn’t fit whatever twisted leftist version they perverted on here. Because whatever this is on this app is not true leftist. I have seen posts promoting violence on not just police officers but their FAMILIES too and even posts that idolize convicted pedophiles as heroes. If you try to have any form of a debate with someone you will get downvoted by the rest and eventually banned from commenting or posting. I don’t know who they have monitoring these posts but it is atrocious that they allow such hate to be headlined on an app that they themselves advertise as being a place where everyone can come together. If they want the app to get better to what it once was they need to filter the system so that everyday normal users can find what they want without having to sort through hateful posts that were written by toxic people.

A veritable graveyard of unfunny and uninteresting.. Now, I understand fully that everyone has their own personal interests and hobbies and subjects they like to pursue. I encourage people to keep up with said interests regardless of how I personally feel about them. It’s not my business why they like something, and as long as they’re happy then what’s the bother? Imgur is the exception to this rule. Imgur is the massive, unwieldy echo chamber of stagnant comedy and the same five DIY videos plastered across its face for the past four years- I know this because I stopped using the site four years ago. I spent fifteen minutes perusing the app and was summarily disappointed. There were no new ideas, no growth, no changes for the better. I even got obtrusive ads that played music while browsing, something I was told years ago shouldn’t happen at all! It just wasn’t fun. There was no appealing features, nothing to draw my interest. Just the same jokes as always, the same unpleasant interface, and the same laggy app that overheats my phone after five minutes. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is soured.

Nuff said. It’s an app that I’ve had for a long time, through all the updates and random changes. I’ve been here since the beginning idea of folders, the pleas and after years the final hurrah of getting them. This app is addictive, strangely not in a bad way, and because it’s very easy to understand I can find things extremely easy. And it’s interactive. I LOVE how interactive it is. I wish the “did you miss the day before?” Option would come back, I loved clicking and going back to the posts I missed the day before. But it’s super amazing

Not what it used to be. Imgur, after being a member for 4 years I deleted my account and your app from my devices. I used your product to catch a laugh and see some cool stuff. Now, I sort through political bogus constantly and your app is nothing like what it was. I am afraid to say, your community has become a political breeding ground for bias news and unchecked facts. (And I don’t even support Trump but some of that stuff on there is just putting noise in people’s heads. It’s close to the election so I understand it’s a front page topic, but the negativity toward Trump with not one opposing view or slight toward the other side is shameful.) I will return should your rules change to sort out political nonsense. Until then, I wish you the best in your communities future.

Used to be my favorite... I was a standardly Mobile user for IMGUR, but with the new adsly incorporation it’s become unusable. The ads provided crash the app, are a trap for your fingers and you feel like you’re trying to tiptoe around tripwires to not click an ad. They’re bright and flashy in comparison to an app that usually is darker so you feel flashbanged and it can be disorienting. (Yes brighter than the memes, and a lot of the ads auto play and are strobe light flashy) I had to uninstall. I really hope IMGUR chooses different placements for ads and picks a better provider or I can’t ever use it again, and it saddens me because I love it. It was my place to get memes but it’s unuseable now. I may return in a few months when they update and see if they’ve fixed these issues and update this review, but as someone who’s been on IMGUR mobile since close to the apps creation(and before that on the website) if they can’t fix these errors this will be a parting of the ways. I really hope that doesn’t have to become a permanent reality. I’m not asking for all ads to be removed, but please IMGUR, pick a different company or manually choose which ads to place. The promoted ad pages and the “post” style ads were fine, but the comment banners and blocks are ludicrous and ruin the experience completely.

Not what it used to be. Rehashing essentially what jbrown757 mentioned. Unfortunately Imgur has become a graveyard of political memes to vilify one side of the political party and apotheosize the other. I don’t even like Trump, but actual fake news regularly reaches the front page now because of the nature of community voting. I’ve redownloaded the app several times but each time the temptation to participate in political memery or even gloss over it is outweighed by how absolutely one-sided the content is. If you need your outrage to be massaged even more in 2020, then this app may be right for you. Otherwise, idk what else to say. I came to imgur looking for funny memes but left in search of a shower

An actual detriment to even have downloaded. My main problem with the Imgur mobile site is that it massively downgraded the quality of images, which is annoying for normal pictures but is actually crippling for your ability to read any text on the images that’s somewhat small. Zooming in or opening the image in a new tab do nothing to help. I assumed downloading the app would let me see things in full resolution. It’s annoying that you need to log in and select topics of interest. The fact that it tries to create a feed for you makes it feel like the app is trying to force you to treat it like reddit or a social media site where you just scroll through an infinite feed. That’s not what I and most people use Imgur for, and it’s just an awkward thing. Even beyond the minor annoyances, the biggest issue is that it doesn’t at all improve the quality, and it prevents you from opening anything on the mobile website by automatically redirecting you to the app. This second part is a huge problem because the only actual way to view images in high quality is through the “request desktop website” function on the safari browser app, which you can’t do if you have the Imgur app downloaded because it won’t let you open the Imgur mobile website at all, meaning you can’t switch over to the desktop site to actually view your images. So needless to say I’ve deleted the app and am actively searching for an alternative to Imgur that isn’t such a dumpster fire to use on mobile.

App Burns My Phone. This review is about the app. Imgur itself it great, I love it. Even though I love Imgur, I don't like using this app often because it absolutely chews up my phone. After just about 15 minutes using the app, it devours a quarter of my battery percentage; my phone gets hot to the touch; my performance drops to insultingly low levels. But it all stops when I close the app - and the website doesn't do this. It really makes me wonder if something else is being done in the background, beyond just loading images. Why can I stream hours of movies, be on video calls, and play video games, yet nothing I can do with my phone comes anywhere close to how much the Imgur app kills my phone? It is, quite frankly, ridiculous.

Disappointing. I feel bad giving this app this rating, but I feel like I have to based on what it is these days. I used to get on Imgur when I was having a slow or rough day to laugh at some memes, smile at wholesome content, learn a new thing or two, and just generally enjoy some interesting and entertaining content. Those days are over. You get on now and the posts just make you more depressed than you already were. Half the posts are political BS and the rest isn’t what it used to be. Why did it have to come to this? It’s not what the platform was intended to be. It should be a lighthearted corner of the internet. If you lean left politically, you might like it. If you lean right, you’ll be mad at what you’re seeing but laugh. If you’re a true moderate not enticed by the identity politics of today, you will hate it like nothing else to see this is what the world has come to.

Flawless Water-cooler. Imgur should change its image to resemble a virtual water cooler because that essentially what their team has created. Within the span of a few days I garnished a viral following. That’s irrelevant to me really. What I love are the deeply felt, but logically driven conversations that occur in my feed. If someone disagrees with an argument or thought I have then most individuals will state their opinion with actual evidence to support there thesis. This kind of discourse is what this company strives for which is rare amongst corporate driven lemmings. Whatever bug fixes or user friendly issues I may have with their platform are forgivable . Big thanks to their customer service agents who are very supportive & actually humans, what a concept.

Very anti-Trump, posts get removed. Only pro-democrat statements are allowed to be posted. I notice that anything written positively about Trump is downvoted to oblivion, which seems to be the norm since it is so tightly connected to Reddit. Pro-Trump facts in the comments section are removed (yes, the wall has over 400 miles built and not the rhetoric that it never went up). Reposts are all too common with the reposter not giving credit to the original poster. Too many posts of their pets passing away that it is like a Facebook post and artists showing their creations with a link to buy to avoid actually paying for true advertising. Too much of the same old. With my rankings aside, I do enjoy some things that are posted and you can be alerted of new posts from someone that you follow.

Long time user. I’ve been a member of Imgur for 7 years and I still find it’s the main place I go to scroll. However the most recent update forces the app to reload if you leave it for more than about 10 seconds which is SO FRUSTRATING because if I switch apps because someone messaged me or I want to look something up about a post, when I go back I lose my place in the feed and have to scroll through what I’ve already seen to get back to where I was. I’m also an iOS developer and I know there’s always a ton of unintended functionality that comes with app development, especially with iOS 14, so this might not be something that is even being tracked or thought of for UX. But it is the worst bug right now in my opinion and is very disruptive to the normal user experience

Memes, Politics, Vitriol. Let’s just start off by saying it’s no longer what it used to be. I joined imgur in 2014 after a year or so of lurking. Imgur was in its prime, constant newly shared content, memes, etc. The point based system was addicting and trying to share new and funny things to connect with the community was exciting. Eventually though, it strayed away from being an exciting, open and accepting community to one of a single purpose, “you’re either with us or against us, you either agree with us, or we’re going to erase you from the platform.” I’m not talking about the developers and creators, I’m talking about the community. The community has essentially destroyed what imgur once was. These days imgur is strictly about politics and making sure you’re on their side and you agree with their policies more so than about connecting people and sharing content. If you join imgur I suggest staying off the front page as it is full of anger, hatred and vitriol, if you disagree with someone they will make sure others attack you for what you believe in. Imgur is no longer an accepting community, but a haven for rude and insensitive people looking to tear down whatever it is you believe in.

too political and malware. I’ve been using Imgur for years to share photos via links to other websites that don’t allow you to post an image however I never really engaged with the public content on the front page until recently I clicked a post and another user made a comment disagreeing with something on the left way of thinking and they used their cats as an example which I commented how much I liked that he/she used the cats as a fellow cat person however I then got spammed with death threats and accused of being a right wing bot my account was suspended the next day. When I asked the developer why I was told it was for homophobic and racist behavior. And now I find out the app was taking the most resources of any app in my phone somehow.

Too political. I’ve been browsing/using since 2012 and this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to say something. I’ve had this app on my phone since 2013 and I just realized I haven’t opened it regularly in several months or even a year. The politics have just taken over and that was never my initial desire from this community. I downloaded and browsed to see cool posts about gaming, interesting pictures, funny stories, animals, etc. basically anything but politics.. but I have felt so unwelcome by Imgur for a couple of years now because of how the community has become and how it propagates the “us vs. them” mentality. I dont care about people’s political ideologies; I respect everyone’s right to their opinion. But when every other post is a headline demonizing half the population, it gets to be a bit much. I hate that it’s come to this, I miss what it used to be but nothing good lasts forever.

Basically malware. I have loved Imgur for years. Was basically my only form of social media and was my escape from reality with dank memes and a constant stream of quality OC including wholesome uplifting content that helped me through tough times. Everything changed when they introduced the app. I tried really hard to just get through it and figured it was just growing pains but it’s been years of an absolutely terrible app experience and has gone from seemingly incompetent to now being malicious. This app cripples your phone. There’s multiple posts showing how many trackers and data mining features accompany downloading it. It absolutely wrecks my battery and crashes almost constantly. Then after using their users to harvest data they are now pushing a premium service to make more money. They have historically had some of the best content creators on social media and now it’s just a malware app that jams ads down your throat and bricks your phone. Too bad I really enjoyed my time.

Imgur site moderators must be highly evaluated before site moral improves. The paid moderators are worthless. Propagating a far left-wing mentality that constantly flags and disregarded anyone else of a different mindset, all the while suspending/banning users for the most mild of comments, that are made across all posts (all the while even having the same verbiage used in the same easy to access community accessible gif bank). There is absolutely no middle of the road, no fair and just, in the scrutiny of issuing warnings, only that which please the individual paid moderator, and nothing that even begins to reflect that of the whole community. Until an actual even-keeled and just biased is shown, will I ever begin to stop issuing these one star reviews.

Misleading and annoying. Advertises itself as a GIF maker but has zero functionality in creating a GIF and when you try use the mobile site version to convert a video to GIF it just crashes. Pathetic waste of time

New ad format stinks.. Huge fan of Imgur, use it for hours of entertainment and inspiration, but the new format for ads in the iPad app just drives me nuts. I don’t mind ads at the end of a post, but seriously having them appear every few photos in a series, or smack in the middle of an interesting topic is just annoying, in my opinion. Woulda been 5 stars, but the ad change lost a star from me.

Poor rating. I don’t really understand the purpose of the site.

lgmur. Really good app really funny things on it I really like it if I could I would give it 100 out of 10

Warning for those with GAD. The images posted are pretty good, funny, creative, wholesome, depressing. But the community is equal parts caring as it is downright aggressively toxic and blatantly ignorant. If you have severe case of GAD and depression like i do, avoid it. Because it's going to effect you in a lot of negative ways detrimental to your recovery.

APPLE APP BROKEN!. Have been on Imgur for 10yrs now, love it, disassociate for hours/ days. Was gifted Emerald, and now the videos almost never load. I thought it was my phone, but if I go to the website, all videos load immediately. I can’t see comments (which is a great part of posts. So sad. I think I’ll be going elsewhere.

Extremely slow/stops working. App is just extremely slow and laggy after swiping through a few images. Works fine upon opening but after a couple of images it would start to slow and become unresponsive. Would just hang half way between swiping inbetween photos and eventually freeze up all together. Currently on iPhone 6.

App doesn’t work when connected to wifi. iPhone 11, app doesn’t load at all when connected to any wifi, I’ve tried multiple different wifis and same results. But app works slowly when connected to 4G

Constant crashes. The app used to be great, but lately it crashes every few minutes. I'll be halfway through a post and it freezes, so I have to force close and restart the app. Highly frustrating.

App doesn’t load the feed. Since the announcement of the new owners have come in,the app is terrible. It doesn’t load any links that my friends have shared with me. When I click on the app on iOS, it doesn’t load any content. Its just a blank wall. I’ve deleted and reinstall the app and it will display properly again but the following day, it will be blank again. What’s going on?

A nice community. Full of kind people

I remember the time imgur.... Was made to eliminate the terrible media hosting of reddit. Now it's worse. And this app is aids, just ads everywhere. There is more ads than content now. I hate it when friends share imgur links now. You can't even use your browser without it trying to force the app download on you. And the devs are way too terrible to know how to do proper deep linking, which still takes you to the app store when you already have the app. Billion ads, 0 competent devs...

Leftist circle jerk. Just a bunch of adults acting like kids. Preaching tolerance but hating anyone or anything with a differing opinion. Great app if your into politics all of one type though. You will fit right in if you follow the echo chamber that is social justice. Honestly the NPC’s just ruin everything on the internet. Don’t believe me download it and see for yourself.

Love. Imgur helps me with my anxiety for as long as I don’t read some of the comments people leave on here. Love this community and glad to be a part of it.

Meme junction. LOVE Imgur! My only place to find quality memes and interesting articles. The app is well laid out, easy to navigate and a hoot to scroll through. Probably my most used app.

Lacking basic features. The Imgur app on other platforms allows images to be shared to the app via share sheet equivalents. For some reason this app lacks that basic functionality which was, frankly, the only reason I installed the app to begin with. That, plus the bloated app taking over my browser whenever I click on an Imgur web link, are why this gets a 1 star and uninstall from me.

Excellent app. Makes it so easy to upload images from your phone to the internet, which you can then access from your PC. My only suggestion is to add a white (light) theme for day use, which can sync with iOS’s dark mode.

Spotty. The app works okay, but every update they do some new weird functionality. This time around you can’t look at comments you’ve made previously. Before this you couldn’t l full screen pictures. Not sure if they have QA but it would be nice

Great App. Well, title. Lackluster with loading images (often). Need to restart the app. And please bring back the old black app logo.

Very interesting. Love seeing all the interesting things. Still haven’t worked out whether to scroll up or down - wish it would stay where I left off.

Unusable. Imgr has been a mainstay on my Homescreen for years - but with my new iPhone 13 Pro, for some reason it’s become unusable. It freezes every single time I use it. I hope these issues get fixed on the latest iOS 15 release!

Love it. Great community always able to find something I like definitely worth a shot

Great content but app slows terribly. Still great Imgur content (apart from aggressive ads but whatever). Main issue is that after ~5 mins of use the app starts to become very slow. Terrible scroll performance, hanging etc. also makes my phone hot so something is wrong there. On an iPhone 13 Pro this seems pretty bad

Battery Hog. This app desperately needs some performance tuning and profiling as it hits the cpu hard and drains the battery quickly. The phone runs hot and the whole app feels jerky. Must be a bug or some kind of performance regression. This is on an iPhone 11.

V 7.0 is disruptive and unenjoyable. TL;DR: Do NOT download. Image flow is ruined. Imgur was always a good piece of entertainment when on break. However, the new ad placement ruins everything about it. Posts that rely on flow and continuity are broken up by advertising. The change in awareness actually LESSENS the amount of time spent in the app.

Not getting my phone number. Without even checking your product you want my phone number. That’s so invasive & you’re not getting it. Email verification is sufficient for most apps.

LIFE CHANGER. A colleague and friend introduced me to Imgur around 2015, I’ve been addicted ever since. I’ve done the secret Santa exchange3 times, and look forward to it more than Christmas with my own family. I love this place where I can laugh at the world with like minded people, without the narcissism and capitalism of other platforms. Two Australian thumbs up.

A pleasant time waster.. It starts out as a site to share funny memes with random people but then you get points. Soon it becomes a mad race to be the one to earn the most points. Some people share memes, some share their art and some share their lives. A wonderful app that I spend way too much time on.

Such a badly designed app. I can stream 4K on other apps but I can’t load a 20k gif in this app. Totally useless. The coders should be embarrassed. Please someone make a real app to access Imgur content. Besides the loading limitations capped at 20k/min speed, every third image is an ad nowadays anyway. Horrible experience. I use to use Imgur, now I just hate the experience every time. There seems to be a drive to profit from ads above all else. On the iPad Imgur app the bottom set of tabs including share and account / profile are obscured by ads! Literally Imgur app developers have chosen ads over your ability to share and create content. Priorities. Update: this app is just ads now. Someone please make an alternative to this trash

Backgrounding App is a nightmare. I like to browse Imgur for a few posts at a time. Recently, if you so much as swap to another app to answer a message, going back to Imgur will refresh the entire application and lose your spot. Good luck finding your place again and say hello to a grand new order full of posts you’ve seen before. This makes the app pretty much unusable and leaves the browser version the only choice.

Can’t even use the search feature.. Trying to use the search feature on the app just straight up doesn’t work

Latest iPad update layout change not great. As a left handed person I found the left side scrolling navigation wonderful. The new iPad layout (landscape mode) really misses the mark. There’s two huge grey bands of nothing and three columns of small thumbnail images to navigate. Pretty ordinary.

Not terrible. The app presents very slow loading times compared with the browser version. GIFs take minutes to load, while the front page preview loads instantly.

They found a way to cram in more ads. Uninstalled the app after the latest update ads a whole page ads in between the normal posts on top of the banner ads that are on every post. A lot of these ads are malicious and try to install tracking apps on your system. Don’t want to risk it on my phone as well as my computer.

Used to be good. This app used to be great and provide a tool for passing the time. Now it crashes after you swipe roughly 10 times, chews through about 40% of your phone battery in 15 minutes and there are ads everywhere

You can’t upload images from your camera roll. Who designed this? I just wanted to host an image for reddit. I have to follow 5 different topics. I try to upload the image from my camera roll and I can’t.

Common questions like ..... It’s great for subjects but to obtain photo copies i can not find a menu which would solve most problems , other than being lost for information , it ‘s very good. On - ya.

Why is it still crashing?. Loved this app for years and years, but it’s still freezing every 1-6 posts. What’s going on? It’s making it unusable and there’s no replies to any other comments about the issue.

Imgur fan. I love this site/app. I have been using it for a few years now. Yes some things have changed over time with it, not always for the best. But still my go to as an escape from news/game apps. Can get stuck scrolling for hours.

Ads. Had the app for ages but now it has a constant ad banner down the bottom of the screen that you can’t close out of. Deleted the app. I don’t need that. iOS version.

You make my days and my nights. Thank you. That is all I can say.

Moderators Schmoderators. ‘Twas a better experience before it became the nanny / PC / non-gender specific / kumbayah-singing / barrette and sandal wearing venture we see today. Still - people are FUNNY!

Used to be great!. Used to run fantastically on my phone, now it lags like anything a few posts in. Better off using the browser version.

Constantly refreshes. App just constantly refreshes if I leave the app to do something else. If swipe to see all my open apps and go back to imgur it restarts and I lose my place. It’s driving me insane and it’s basically impossible to use

Terrible on Ios. The gifs take so long to load, regardless of my internet speed. I'm constantly just waiting for the spinning wheel and nothing. I've tried over the last few years and it never works. So sad.

Last update broke the app. The last update broke the app in that if you went to the bottom right tab to try and upload something, the app would crash 100% of the time. The devs didn’t bother fixing it. I waited a while, and ended up reinstalling. Seems to have fixed it for now so give that a try if that’s happening for you too.

Absolute rubbish. Just updated to the latest version because gifs wouldn’t play, and now no content will load, except for the ad. So I guess staff won’t care since they still get their revenue.

Adverts and shocking performance. This app now stinks of dontcareitis. An unclosable ad frame is just the start. If you can ignore that, the app constantly stops accepting inputs as if it’s frozen. This is on a new iPhone 13 too. It’s inexcusable to have such a bad performing app this day and age. RIP imgur.

Good app, annoying notifications. App is good, but I regret allowing banner notifications because it randomly reminds you that the app exists by notifying you with stuff like "corgi butts" and "check this prank out 😂". Just annoying.

iPhone gets really hot. Love Imgur and its content. But since using the app recently my iPhone 13, running iOS 16 gets really hot when using Imgur. Not with any other app. What is going on? A bug? Are you guys running bitcoin mining in the background? Can't keep using this app until this is fixed

Would be 5 stars. Picture quality good, easy interface, but if you click on an imgur link in safari/chrome, it forces you to the app! Annoying!

Was a favorite before they crapped ads everywhere.. What the af were they thinking with the ad placement? Looking for ads with no ‘X’? image-grrrrr has got you covered. Try rotating your screen to get a wider view? The ad is now half the screen! Brilliant devs and management team.

You interrupt app use for ratings. You get 1 Star.

👋. App bad😡

Annoying. Worst interface ever. Stop giving me pop ups I can’t close when I redirect to imgur. Uninstalled. Never wrote a review before. So clunky and trash recommendations. SKIP

Downvotes. Everything will get downvoted unless it’s some stupid cat meme I swear. Posted my wardrobe and shoe collection in a album because Reddit doesn’t allow you to post more then one photo (it was for a fashion thing for: Men’sFashionAdvice) and I’ve gotten like 12 downvotes and someone commented “this isn’t real, where are the underwear’s with holes?” because I had jeans with rips in them...

Latest version doesn’t work very well.. Unfortunately this latest version is incredibly glitchy. I can’t upload anything- if I select any images to upload, the “next” button vanishes. I can click where it used to be, and the app will proceed to the next step, but then I get a “parse error” after they try to upload for 5 or so minutes. It’s not an internet speed thing, everything else I upload to is working fine.

Keeps crashing. App keeps crashing.

Just Let Us Use Desktop Already. If you’re on mobile, they force you to use the app, but the App (at least my version) doesn’t even let you view your own profile unless you donate to Ukraine, and even then if you click the donate link, the whole App crashes. So great, you can’t use Imgur except for browsing. Just let use go to Imgur on mobile! The app cancels out a bunch of desktop only features, so it’s inherently worse without the crashes.

Imgur is great, but this app is trash. My iPhone starts to get hot in a few minutes, if I keep going, it becomes practically useless. Imgur, fix your app. Edit: I paid for ad free and the gif search still doesn’t work. Random crashes started.

Abomination of an app. Nothing intuitive, intrusive ads. Very spammy looking interface. Feel like when I open the app I’m caught in one of those websites you go to that open a million ads you’re fighting off, and battling to find the content you’re looking for.

Nothing is showing. Literally i can’t open any post and the support is not helping.

Resource pig. I won’t complain about the content or the users because that has nothing to do with the app itself, and you get good and bad everywhere you go. But for the last two updates or so there’s something happening in the background that just bogs down the phone. It gets hot to the point where the screen gets dim, and it’s exclusively when using this app. My OS is fully up-to-date, using any other app there are no issues, but as soon as this app is opened my entire system is bogged down and gets noticeably hot. There is definitely something happening with this version that shouldn’t be happening. I am aware that others are complaining about the same thing, so I know it’s not an isolated event with my software or phone, and it’s to the point where I browse anonymously through Safari because I don’t have any issues via web, I just won’t login because it doesn’t have the same experience as the app, which of course limits the amount of time I use Imgur. Fix this glitch and my review would absolutely change for the better.

Freezes. I love Imgur but the last update freezes on iPhone 13

Fun place to come if you love ads. This site has turned into a festering hellscape of ads. What a shame that imgur was sold to such a unscrupulous company.

Notifications. “Ohh look 9 notifications” opens app “no notifications”. The app also auto follows random users and spans your notification centre.

I refuse to give you my phone number. I refuse to give you my phone number. Quite simply - you don’t NEED it and it’s none of your business. I will download this program once that is no longer required. Otherwise - no thanks.

Like the website not the app. Accounts shouldn’t be mandated. I shouldn’t have verify a cell phone number just to look at cat memes, silly.

Ugh… Again.. Every once in a while imgur makes an absolutely awful and unnecessary update to the app. This time; they made ads permanent at the bottom with no way to close them. Absolutely ridiculous.

Where was I?!. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn’t been awake for this yet. I might bring a toothbrush.

Crashes. New design is slow, don't update! Crashes, doesn't load half pages. Showing bars for ads even when there is no ad. Double ads. Trash, not worth it to update is you still have old version. They seem to hire clowns into management, same like Twitter I imagine. Playing two videos at the same time! I can’t stop them too they keep playing! This is lead pipes level, unusable most of the time

Poor. Been a user for 9 years and I finally give up. Just keeps crashing. Goodbye, Imgur, was fun while it lasted.

The new format is… not good.. Was a dedicated imgurian for years. The new updated format is clunky to the point where I deleted the app. Imgur: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Won’t accept emailed code. Trying to sign up for app and as many do it sends you a code to your email which when entered says it’s expired so sends another and this does the same thing and goes on and on and on....no further progress made

Doesn’t work. App forces you to create an account before you can do anything. It then fails every attempt to verify a 7 digit code it automatically sends to your phone in order to fulfill the account creation process. Can’t setup account. Can’t use app. Useless.

Stupid. I got PERMANENTLY banned within an hour of joining for just a kobe meme. It's just all boomer humour and there's actually dank memes on lots of other apps. If you are over 50, get offended easily and love cat videos, this app is definitely for you. Not for youth or people have a good sense of humour.

0 stars. Literal cancer. I just want to upload images not sign up on a spam list with my social media accounts. Who programs and releases this kind of garbage? Shame

Constantly freeze. Started recently the app just freeze a lot when using the app

Good site horrible app. All the app does is crash and freeze and heat up my phone until it nearly explodes

Spooky stuff. Wow this app sure is fun!

Abusive experience. I got it and thought hey cool. Posted one video and was flooded with trolls and mean comments. Can’t find way to report and don’t post and they delay me. Don’t use this app it’s users are trolls wanting to bash and gets you going. Bunch of kids thinking their cool but using it to bully people. Had to hide my video and can’t defend myself on the delays I am getting because there trolls are bullying and instead is hearing both sides, I am being harassed over a TikTok video. To the team do you watch the users because, I shouldn’t be harassed or bullied and delayed when, I am not the one doing wrong. I just posted a Damn post so disappointed won’t tell anybody to use this app. Get a real app where they watch people. And I usually don’t give bad reviews because I could never make an app. But I won’t use an app that allows this bullying to go on. I posted and two seconds later, I was rushed in.

Fun to post here lots of haters but that’s anywhere you go now so 👍👍. Lots of

It’s like reddit without the circlejerk. So in other words, perfect.

Crashes all the time. Current version crashes all the time in iOS.

Battery drainer. Since the last update, Imgur has been eating up the battery and heating up my iPad to the point that I have to stop using it. Lots of freezes too.

Broken on iPhone. The app seems to be ok on tablet but it’s shockingly buggy and broken on iPhone. I’m actually impressed by how badly they screwed things up, especially considering it used to be good. It wouldn’t be nearly so irritating if they didn’t also sabotage the site on mobile so you have no CHOICE but to use this garbage app.

All about that add revenue. Insane amount of adds - we’re talking multiple adds on every page that load three times as fast as the post itself

Suggestion. I love Imgur and want it to be good experience, recent update is good, however, to reach most viral or user submitted categories is pain now. Have to scroll all the way to up to click on popular to change the categories. Would be easier if we can just click on the very top and it brings down the sub categories. Thanks. I hope the severs are doing good!

Why. Why does it have to open the app every time I go to imgur on safari. If i want to use the app I will use the app. If I want to use safari keep me in safari. Please give us the option.

Long term user. I have been part of the imgur community for ~10 years. The app continues to get worse and worse. Changing the swiping to scrolling was the last blow so I’m peacing out and deleting the app.

Imgur for president. Totally addictive and great community

Something is wrong with this app. Normally I love this app and enjoy using it. With a recent update, however, something is very broken. Browsing the Imgur app for 30 minutes will destroy 40% of my iPhones battery and make the phone noticeably hot. Looking at power use in settings no other app is even in the same ballpark as this one. Hopefully they’ll fix whatever they did soon. Until then I would avoid it.

Hypocrisy. Pornographic ads every 5 posts but they don't allow adult content in private posts.

Awesome. Sauce

Nothing works. Nothing I upload is visible at the URLs the app gives me.

Still broken. Links open, then the screen turns into a blank grey screen, even with my posts/links, but others can see my posts/links. Also, trying to get help & app support doesn't work.

It’s not. It’s not staying where I leave off! It’s worse than before

Bad. This app used to be good before it got taken over by politics

Into the toilet along with reddit. Imgur was created for reddit, then became its own thing and is now following in the footsteps of reddit by becoming a vanilla corner of the internet for basic, boring people. Bye bye imgur, you used to be cool.

Apps freezing. Please fix, app now freezes and only way to unfreeze is uninstall and reinstall :(

Unnecessary forced mobile app. Just got this app two minutes ago to try and save an image to my phone that I had posted on my computer. Already pretty annoyed that I was forced to install something, but okay, I’ll do what I have to do I guess. I download, log in, and click on the button to open my profile and the app crashes on me. I’m not on low power mode and I close all my background apps, and nothing changes. Completely ridiculous that I wasted my time on something that I can’t access a crucial feature on. Stuff like this needs to be tested and fixed.

The ads are done so poorly. I think everything understands that imgur stays running due to ad revenue. What I don’t understand is how they can possibly think that the way that the implementation of the ads is done is in any way acceptable. The app has gone downhill and now have an atrocious user experience with overly intrusive ads that are terribly placed and prevent seamless navigation through posts. Half the time you can’t even scroll to the next page without so much as grazing an ad and if that occurs say goodbye to viewing what you were attempting to look at. Instead you get taken to a page for whatever junk they decided to plaster every page with. This app has just really gone downhill.

Imgur is ok. It isn’t too bad unless you post a lot of pics then sone get lost in your timeline until you delete some. I’ve learned that you should have a post that holds several pics and keep adding until you hit the 50 max for the post. Organizing pic is impossible. So, it is ok. I wouldn’t pay for it like I do photobucket. I suspect each changes the quality of your pic to the worse. I’ve compared by downloading my uploads and comparing it to original. The on-site is worse. So, OK

This app makes me laugh.. As a person who suffers from depression few things make me happy...even less laugh. I’ve been using imgur for about 7 years. My battle is constant, but at least at the end of the day I can count on imgur to have a user friendly interface, little or no ads and fresh funny high quality content. Thanks fellow imgurians and the Imgur team for making the end of each day a little brighter.

Politics have hurt this app. I used to love imgur. I’ve never brought my political views to the app, and it was a great place to laugh and enjoy great and wholesome content. However, I have pretty much stopped using this app due to the fact that one out of three/four posts is about extremely political opinions. This used to be an incredibly enjoyable place for people to share great content, but unfortunately it’s turned into somewhat of a political opinion board, and regardless of my political views that’s just not what I used this app for. Just sad to see a great platform consumed by politics.

Stay in your lane. Imgur has one practical use for me -as an image hosting site which I can link to on forums or other websites when I need to share a picture. I don’t care about other peoples pictures, and I don’t care about childish MEMES. I’ve had an account for 5+ years and haven’t had any issues except for today, when I tried using the app (because safari doesn’t work with imgur apparently). I’m immediately prompted after logging in to follow 5 topics/accounts and there is no skipping this. I don’t want to follow anybody -not interested in some “curated” feed. Imgur, please stop trying to be hip, cool, a social media site or whatever. I just want to link to MY pics.

It’s ok. Ehhh.... it’s alright I guess. I’ve noticed it is very glitchy. Tagging is a nightmare, I just cut and paste through my notes. You need to stumble through it and make a lot of mistakes in the beginning. I am posting art and have noticed people just troll most of the feed. Some comments feel like mass bots as they don’t necessarily match the images, and as far as I can tell there is no way to delete comments. Pretty stupid you are the one building your page. I would go with Insta over this if you are creative, but if you are looking for entrainment and not necessarily building a following it’s worth a try.

UPDATE REC. i only use this app for very specific tasks (reading the posts of one of my fav creators, making little collections of pics to share with friends, etc), but if there is one thing i would love to see is the ability to swipe through the images of a slideshow with it opened. i want to be able to open a post, click the first image to make it bigger, then swipe through the rest without having to open and close the larger image each time.

When it actually opens the app is terrible. I absolutely cannot open links to imgur in the app. Either from Reddit or Safari or Google, I’ve tried everything. I click ‘open in app’ and it takes me to the App Store when I already have the freaking app downloaded. Very frustrating when I’m trying to view an album with 2 00+ photos and I can’t do so via mobile site because it crashes every time I get halfway through clicking the ‘see 10 more’ button fifteen times. The app is also just too much shoving images at me that I am not interested in.

Lots of bugs now. This app used to be bug free, but now, it’s full of bugs. If I turn my phone from landscape mode to portrait mode the comments get all wacky. Posts that appear before ads disappear if you go back and look for them. The audio of neighboring posts plays even if you aren’t looking at that post. Images and GIFs don't load. The app causes my phone to heat up and lose battery rapidly as well. Really disappointing when I think about how well the app used to run.

Bias operators. If you don’t agree with the view points of the operators and the majority of the users... you will be BANNED for your comments for simply stating your view point and no they won’t tell you why as to not expose themselves as the bias Liberals they are... and for the record I don’t identify as any party... It’s ok for them to express themselves but when you don’t agree they don’t want you there... My comments never were never mean or offensive. Other users allowed to call names and be mean but they’re still allowed to post and be mean to Other users because they hold the same views.

Imgur reset. Please stop resetting Imgur to the homepage when the user briefly switches to a different app. It’s extremely frustrating. Sincerely, Everybody EDIT: thank you for resolving this (about 70% of the time it now does not reset, I’ll take it!). Maybe one more thing you could look into, sometimes when I see an image, I smile and scroll forward one, then decide to go back and favorite it. Instead of the image I liked, there’s an ad. I scroll. Back two, and it’s the image before the one I liked. I scroll forward, and it’s the ad. The ad replaces the image I liked, and I can no longer get to it. The ads should be between images, not on top of them. Ohh and if you click on one of many images to enlarge it, it would be cool if we could click or swipe left or right to see the next image in that same post also enlarged.

I thought my iphone was getting old. from the battery draining quickly and then overheating- until I realized it’s not the phone, it’s this app. Everytime i use the phone without touching the app it’s fine and battery life and temperature is as expected. The second I start using the app the battery drain doubles- and then it overheats more and more as I scroll down, until it starts to lag. If I keep scrolling it lags more and more until it starts to have trouble loading new posts. Many times if I switch to another app for just a few seconds and come back, the whole app resets and I’m back to the top of the feed again. Is the app poorly optimized?

New Version is TERRIBLE. Good lord why don’t you just leave the things that work alone?! This update is absolutely awful. The bottom menu gets hidden by an ad for no particular reason so you can’t easily check your notifications. The ad is there regardless so there is no logical reason to have the menu just disappear and become excruciatingly hard to summon back. This app also loves to devour your battery life. Since iOS shows battery usage by app I can confidently blame this app for soaking up most of my battery when it’s in the background. The mobile site isn’t very good either, honestly this website is only tolerable on a desktop.

It’s Getting Worse. Imgur used to be great. The community was way less toxic than other meme-based platforms, and it felt like the owners of the website actually cared about users. Now, it’s safe to say that neither of those are really true anymore. We accepted the addition of ads because we love the platform, but now it’s completely obvious with the phantom “accidental” clicking of ads, the malicious ads, and ads in the MIDDLE of posts that the owners don’t care about users at all anymore. Honestly I hope the platform fails soon. The community as a whole isn’t that terrible now, buts it’s certainly got worse through the years. With all things considered, things aren’t looking up for this app. I would not recommend it.

Fix this garbage app. The ads. I get that you need to advertise to make money and provide a free app, but this is ridiculous. After scrolling for only a few minutes, the app starts to freeze so that the adds can load. I don’t have the latest phone, but it shouldn’t heat up to the point of automatically dimming the screen and draining my battery (and this is the ONLY app I have that does this) just so you can choke every post with video or banner ads. There are way too many meme/photo apps for this to be worth it. Pull your heads out of your fourth point of contact.

Love the content, HATE the app. As others have pointed out the updates are making the app worse. Battery drain and overheating. Jittery scrolling. I was having some minor issues and thought updating might fix them but it got worse with new problems after updates. You’d think the owners of this app might take notice and fix the issues with a major update or roll back. Love imgur content and has me on there for a long time (for better or worse). The app unfortunately is garbage at the moment so i had to uninstall it.

Imgur app today w/latest iOS update. Dear Devs. Please look into updating the app to properly function with the latest iOS. I know y’all have your hands full but, right now iPhones are heating up insanely to the point one can fry eggs on. Various posts are lagged/delayed when trying to flip through them. And it severely hampers the rest of the device to the point one has to restart. Quitting the app and restarting iPhone puts it back resolves it but I’m afraid of burning my hands if I try to use the Imgur app so it’s now relegated to DO NOT OPEN status. Thanks

Heat issue, ad problems. I really love Imgur as a community, and I enjoy the content it provides. But it’s only enjoyable if you can access the content, which I no longer can. 1) Ads are ridiculous full-page interruptions to browsing. If you touch any part of the page besides the “skip” button, the ads will launch Safari and then the App Store. 2) My phone is hotter than the surface of the sun after using this app for 10 minutes. I have an iPhone 7. It is otherwise totally functional, and has been a dream to operate since I deleted the Imgur app. 3) This app running in the background would cause other apps to crash. 4) When browsing, if I left the app for a few seconds to check a text message or something, I could not return to the last image I was viewing. It would restart the app and I’d have to go hunting to find where I left off. I’ll try again in a few months in hopes they will have figured something out to make this app accessible for its purpose.

Good political meme app. It’s a good political meme app. But that is sadly not what they advertise. They advertise spicy memes and wholesome memes. But fun times are few and far between. If you want to doom scroll then this app will keep you on top of the latest thing you should be outraged about. Even though I agree with the outrage I was hoping for a fun meme app not a depression cry cycle. Developers have added Content Controls, which allows you to filter #politics memes. But unfortunately there isn’t much content left when you do that and when you politely remind people who don’t tag their memes to add tags you get downvoted so much your account can be punished.

Ads ruined the app. The app has started to include increasingly intrusive ads to the point where now some ads will even full screen themselves on your phone and are difficult to close without clicking on them. There is an option in app to make it so gifs don’t automatically load unless you’re on WiFi so you can save data but this doesn’t effect the ads that are animated, and now that there are ads on almost every single post you will now use much more data than previously. If the ads ever get taken back to how they were before or become less intrusive I will change my 1 star rating.

Used to be great, now it’s too political. Used to be great, then way too many political posts showed up. You can’t go more than 2 images with another screenshot of someone else’s opinion. Devs and moderators can’t seem to be bothered to do their jobs unless they see a nipple in an image, then you’re banned. But insane conspiracy theories, casual and outright racism, sexism, dangerous information presented as fact, calls for violence, and a weird tribalism in the community still run rampant. Then ads were introduced, then paid premium content for no discernible reason other than chasing a dollar, and multiple app updates have turned this from a fast, lean, responsive app into a sluggish and poorly designed train wreck.

A post about current Imgur. I joined Imgur on April 2016 and had fun a lot throughout those years posting photos of my creations and attempted to make funny memes which somehow didn’t work and scrolling down to daily posts and added favorites . I left imgur in 2020 because I though it was not worth using the app anymore and was boring I was originally coming back somewhere this year to get back on action but recently I have see recent reviews that the app has gotten too political and has other problems, I find this sad as while I don’t like Imgur for its overuse memes and anime stuff I have enjoyed using this app for years before I stopped I really hope Imgur will go back to the way it used to be and get better.

Decent. I’ve enjoyed Imgur for a long time now. But I’ve had a lot of technical problems. For one, the computer site doesn’t load on my computer but about the mobile app: The main issue that I have with this app is that it makes my phone run quite warm. I have run games on my phone that don’t make it heat up this much. And I know it’s Imgur as when I close the app the phone goes back to normal temperature. Another issue I have seen is that it will randomly open adds and crash often.

Won’t allow me to upload. This is not user error, as I used to be able to upload pictures without problem. Whenever I try and upload an image it says “invalid captcha” and will not allow me to proceed. The problem is THERE IS NO PLACE TO ENTER A CAPTCHA. No box with scrambled letters and an area to type. No boxes to click on to check off. Nothing. I have searched the entire app for at least 20 minutes and then looked it up and this is a common problem. This is just sad that an app this large can fail so badly and for so long (this has been a problem for me for months). I will adjust my review if this is fixed, but I doubt it will be.

Latest update has made the Chat feature almost useless. Messages are a trainwreck... I have hundreds of old messages that have been opened that are now unread and need to be deleted, again. Update says to use chat to share gifs and images, but there’s no function anywhere in the messenger to do so. It WAS there. Why did you guys ruin something that was working just fine?

App now crashes constantly. Final nail in the coffin for this app. Aside from the gargantuan battery and data usage, the constant barrage of intrusive ads, and the downhill trend of becoming less and less “fun” over the years, the app now crashes consistently every time it’s opened after having been minimized. It crashes every few posts. It crashes if I scroll too fast through an image dump. It crashes if I jump to the comments. The best part? If you try to go to the website directly, either on a phone or PC, they’ll complain about you not using the app! The website absolutely crawls on a gaming rig that can handle some heavy-duty graphics requirements. This used to be a great getaway in the early days, but no longer.

When it works it’s ok.. The app was doing great for a spell, but started having annoying problems a few months ago and as of today it freezes when I launch it. If I switch to another app for even a moment, like to answer a message, it reloads and I lose my place. And the ads! They pop in between posts, but there’s also a banner at the bottom you cannot close (used to be able to). One imitates a dating app and I can see that getting someone in unnecessary trouble. Fix the freezing, keep my place, and chose a better ad format.

We welcome you!. You’ll read many reviews that are negative due to politics, etc. Guess what? You get that anywhere you go on social media. Imgur is what it says it is. People posting what’s important to them, whether that be loads of cutting edge memelordery or photos of their garden. It’s a vibrant community. Always has and always will be. Join us and let the memes flow! (Just don’t post a selfie. We don’t care if you’re pretty and we will roast you for it)

Drains battery life in background. Maybe my iPhone 6s is a bit out of date, but it’s getting very hot when running Imgur. The app uses a lot of battery, and often is laggy. I wish I could just use the website, because imgur is a website. The mobile version is intentionally gimped to force you to get the app. Imgur’s “social” aspect is quite odd. I have been using imgur since it was just an image host, and the “community” that has developed is kind of creepy. I’ve been messaged by creeps. I don’t even want messaging. The amount of ads is getting out of hand. On galleries with multiple images, weird ads are inserted between photos, leading to confusion. A lot of the ads don’t make sense or are in foreign languages. The way you scroll down a gallery makes it too easy to accidentally click an ad launching you out of the app. I usually just force close the app in frustration when this happens. This is simply a shady technique of getting clicks.

Longtime User. So, I know that there’s a lot of flak for the ads, but I completely understand that they have to sustain the costs related to hosting millions of images and millions of users. The real reason I’m giving it two stars is because it has been unbelievably laggy, and I have a mew iPhone as well. It starts to stutter randomly, and it’s impossible to deal with. I could load the website on a windows 95 computer and get better performance than this app most of the time. It’s 5 minutes of no lag, followed by 10 minutes of unbelievably poor performance. Will update to 5 stars when fixed, and I hope they do fix it.

Crude Society. There should be a button that enables a user to delete rude comments from their posts. I’ve received of nothing but hate while being on this app and I’m honestly sick of it. I’m only using it to upload photos of my own to copy the links of it and email or text or message through the internet for my friends, family, etc. But everything I post is being attacked and when I report the comments, nothing happens. I had to go delete several posts. The pictures I hadn’t deleted, I had to change their settings to ‘hidden’ just so that I could avoid unnecessary hate.

Nearly unusable. The app lags and crashes regularly and makes my phone overheat to the point where screen brightness begins to fluctuate. No other app causes issues like these, only imgur. The new card view update makes scrolling through posts take 10 times longer and is far less intuitive than the old system. The adds have become so intrusive and contain very questionable content to the point of being incredibly obnoxious and detrimental to usage. Overall the app has been so thoroughly ruined that I am seriously considering uninstalling it permanently from my phone.

On this app for 8 years. I used to love it, but now there’s some bugs that clearlyyy Imgur knows of but won’t fix. The biggest being if you leave the app you’ll lose your place and it’ll take you back to a fresh home screen. This is most likely so you can be run through ads again, which is kinda smart on their part. And second, after about 5 minutes of scrolling, my entire iPhone will start slowing down and then freeze, only until I quit the app completely will my phone be normal again. And last, a lot of bot are on here. They comment and post and seem like real people, but it’s either propaganda or selling something subtly. Anyways, imgur used to be a great place for laughs, now it’s all politics and hate.

Great App, Terrible Community. The 3-stars is about as fair as I could get with how well the app has improved over the years. The staff has done a fantastic job developing it and their commitment to generating community content is superb, but the app simply falls short with its community base. It’s an echo chamber for political ideas that’s downright toxic and hateful, the irony of it is the users likely don’t know how hateful and toxic they’ve become engaging in behavior like this over the past year or so. It’s no longer an enjoyable app to browse.

Mostly just angry trolls. I uploaded a few pics on my old account that didn’t really have anything on it (4 years old maybe?) and immediately got hit with a barrage of downvoted and hate comments. The pics were innocent, nothing offensive in any way. The app itself is nice and rather easy to use, but this community is trash and most people on imgur (with a few exceptions of nice ppl) need to be loaded onto a rocket and shot directly into the sun or handed over to ISIS to be tortured. This is mainly a community of incels that are angry for no reason. If your an artist or content creator You’re better off finding another platform to share your images.

Latest update is meant to kill the free version. Clearly. This latest update is full of seemingly minor features that have been designed to destroy the browsing experience. "Hiding seen posts". Why? Who told you I'm not going to go looking for them again PRECISELY because I enjoyed them??? Swiping from the left of the screen no longer takes you back to the main page, it just scrolls to the previous post. Combine that with the previously mentioned "feature", and you end up having a terrible user experience... I'm not sure if the paid version gets rid of these stupidities, but I sure am not going to pay for it. I'm ending my account.

Battery hog * terrible update *. This latest major version update increased the battery consumption of this app to a ridiculous point. My iPhone gets so hot after just 15 minutes of using this app and battery life drops like a rock. No other app that I use does this (and neither did the prior version of Imgur). I find myself using the app a lot less out of fear of running out of juice, or worse damaging my phones battery permanently. I’d also add that this version is non-intuitive in how you need to click into a post in order to scroll the “most viral” feed or “user sub” feed. Why do that? It was so obvious before! Finally, I see that we’ve AGAIN lost the ability to come back to the place in our feed where we left off if we leave the app for a couple of minutes. Sometimes I see something interesting in a dump, and then go to Google for more details, then come back and my place is lost. So goddam frustrating!! I’d be super happy go to back to the prior version. Bug free, battery miser, kept my place in the feed and intuitive.

Slow/ keeps crashing. I’ve been a user for 10 years, but I just deleted the app. The only things that seem to load are ads. It’s slow, keeps crashing, and just drains the battery like nothing else. It’s a shame because it’s much easier to navigate than Reddit, and comments from the community are usually very funny! Until these bugs are fixed, this app is too much of a bother to even open. I know these comments are usually lost in a sea of others, but I hope these bugs will be fixed soon.

I love this app. This apps format is very easy to use for anything, the customization is ok. The thing that is really great about this app is that it lets you pick what you want in your feed and what you want other people to see about you. There is also a hidden option for your posts. I really like this app. I would recommend this app for anyone.

Bring back mr Puckett. Bad review until he is brought back. This app used to be amazing but then they desired to do adds on pages .At first I wasn’t happy about the sponsored posts but whatever I could skip them. Then they put adds at the bottom of image posts that you could accidentally click on and they were full of virus links. Then they put adds in the middle of long posts and NEVER made sure the adds were safe. Literally every add is a scam ware add. That was the final straw imgur. Until you fix your mess up here I’m done with you and will always browse with a adblocker so that you don’t get any money from me. I hate to do this but you gave us no choice.

Trash at what people actually use it for. Spams your screen with their effort to push their social media aspect instead of making a simple smooth UI for how people actually use Imgur which is as online image storage with accompanying links. When you make that aspect of it hard, you’re making yourself irrelevant. Will be uninstalling the app rn after just wanting to friggen make a post. I hit the plus in the top right, select the images I want to give access too but can’t move past that with the next grayed out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it won’t budge because they want access to all your pics.

Ads and a bug. The buyout resulting in ads on every post and between posts is annoying but manageable. New update has added the option to donate to Ukraine charities which is great. The problem is, Imgur team broke the profile page on iOS when they added this. App crashes any time you visit your own profile. Users are no longer able to scroll through their own posts or favorites. I hope a fix is coming.

So trendy it hurts. So you want to belong to a lifeless flaming community? You’ve came to the right place:) this app is just as bad as everything everyone talks about....nothing original but reposted garbage and wannabe witty comments that how dare you comment or try to make sense or you will get flamed. You sheep can keep your little community of basement dwelling bearded hipsters all to yourself, I don’t have to prove anything to anyone in this little world of crap talking internet tuff guys that love dogs and beards and dream of anything that’s isn’t cool that is cool now cause it’s not cool but how dare you don’t bow down to bill Murray and cats and yea, blah blah blah......I have a life thank you I don’t need to make myself feel better competing with a bunch of internet trolls to reach a front page and internet points.....get a life people really;)

How can they get such a simple app so wrong for so long. This app has been around for a long time and they still can’t get it right. Loading ads doesn’t have to cause the whole app to freeze for seconds at a time or the phone to overheat, yet that has been a problem with this app for *years*. With the latest update, it now causes my phone to completely crash and restart after swiping through a few posts. Users routinely comment/post about how bad the mobile apps are, I guess the company just doesn’t care that it’s possible to fix these issues.

It's pretty good, but still has problems. It is really good if you need something to waste your time. Though the community is weird and can be really toxic, the general experience tends to be quite positive, interesting, and enjoyable. However, it does have some flaws. Two of the most notable flaws is that sometimes the screen will lock and sometimes crash the app when loading a large image and second, gifs will occasionally cause your music to pause if you are listening to any while browsing.

Bad. All good things must come to an end. This site used to be the bee’s knees but an update ushered in ads mixed with the content. It wasn’t a big deal really. It was easy to differentiate between the content and the ads. However, the ads get first dibs when downloading content. The app sometimes takes a few minutes to download the ads before the content starts loading. I’m sorry, I must depart fo better time waist apps. Uninstalled!

Doesn't respect notification preferences. For some reason, imgur can't seem to figure out how to respect the notification preferences in the app, electing instead to spam users with whatever they feel should have your attention (read, what they're now promoting for profit). Fine. I've turned off all notifications. What now, imgur? I'll be honest. I used to imgur a lot more, and that's why I have the app. But since the company's culture has changed and they're disrespectful of their users, I'm done with them. Imgur is now just an image host. I'll explore content and commentary on reddit, as it should be. The app only stays to be able to upload things easily.

Nice but also meh. Full screen ads interrupt magic keyboard use (can’t swipe/scroll with trackpad) to the point where the whole device becomes unresponsive until you close the application. Pop up ads in horizontal are at the bottom of the screen, reducing content visibility when there is ample room on either side of most content for advertising. Full screen ads can cause device stuttering and lag. They also don’t work in horizontal mode, so if you’re browsing at night it blasts your retinas with a blank white screen. Some QoL improvements would go a long way. Looking forward to future updates.

Last few weeks, the keyboard won’t stay up. I really have enjoyed this app the last few years. But in the last week or two, there’s no way to make comments anymore. The comment window won’t stay open the keyboard won’t stay up. I tried to reply to someone and FIVE TIMES the window crashed and my comment was lost. My frustration has finally taken hold, and I deleted the app. It’s no good to me this way.
