New update !. Being able to eq each song to Your liking I loved using the app to turn on the speaker it’s so easy and convenient to use

Bad connection (hyperboom). I have 2 Hyperboom’s. The app works perfect with one speaker. But when I connect both hyperboom’s is good till it starts a cracking sound and either or both speakers stop playing music. I have to then disconnect both speakers, close the app, turn off the speakers to pair them again. And NO they are not 200 feet away. They are close enough. Please fix!!!! I want to have both speakers on.

Doesn’t Work w/ iPhone 13. Doesn’t work with iPhone 13, I can’t play music from my or my bf’s 13, I have to use my iPhone 10 and now that’s giving me issues, the app will turn on the speaker but then it will tell me to connect the speaker. This Megaboom 3 is the second Logitech speaker I’ve owned, the apps won’t even connect to my old Miniboom. They’re making me regret getting their speakers instead of Beats. This needs to be updated, quick. Actually, even the speaker is giving problems trying to charge it. Why is it plugged in for 12hrs stuck on 10%?!

Did what I wanted. I honestly just downloaded the app to see if I could turn off the sounds the speaker made when you turn it on/off and connected to a device. So if that’s what you’re trying to do, this app will do that.

Connectivity issues. The app use to be able to turn the speaker on and off, which had proven useful when the speaker might’ve been misplaced! Now the app can only turn the speaker off and doesn’t turn it back on! Not too much of a big deal but was one of the better features with the app!

Don’t waste your money.. It’s truly remarkable just how bad this app is. Don’t waste your money buying two speakers and trying to do party up. It’s a joke. It will only work if the speakers are in very, and I mean very, close proximity. Otherwise one is crackling and cutting out the whole time. One of the Megabooms by themselves actually sounds good, but trying to get two to work together with this app is very frustrating and very disappointing. Do better!

Bluetooth. I've had the original Mega Boom for so long 2015 model, still going strong. Just can't pair more than one device at a time, constantly have to reset to connect a different blue tooth device. Is this normal? Seems silly to not have the ability to have more than one device stored at a time.

App is a one big glitch. The concept is solid, but the execution is sad at best. The app continuously drops speakers (using 4 mega boom speakers) and they don’t always have a clear connection between each other (even when 2-5 feet apart) Thus, the speakers fade constantly and at time feels as if I’m listening to braille ... an update to fix this would make this a great great set up otherwise mediocre

I have 3. I’ll be switching brands.. I’ve had 2 Megabooms, and a UE boom for almost 6 years. They are durable, and have good sound quality. But the app interface and how fussy they are to connect and pair, I’m done. They just changed the app AGAIN, so they can sign me up for a news letter I don’t want. I’m done with this brand.

Please fix! Great potential, was optimistic, but sadly disappointed.. The Hyperboom 3 is excellent. It sound gorgeous, is pretty loud, and looks great. This app has issues though, and perhaps the most disappointing thing about this is that the Party Up feature doesn’t work well. After a few minutes the second speaker (the one I’m not controlling but is paired) always cuts in and out and crackles during the music I play. I have to constantly turn off and on that second speaker for it to play okay for another few minutes. Extremely disappointing. UE, please update the firmware, or the app, so that these speakers have a stronger connection when pairing together. They have the potential to be so much better, especially for the premium that you’re charging for these speakers!

Horrible App. This app is required to get any sort of use out of this awful speaker I bought, without the app it constantly says “in order to use this feature make sure the app is running and connected to the internet” I don’t have a clue what feature it’s even talking about. Then when you get the app it doesn’t even fix the problem so instead of playing music, all these useless speakers do is tell you to connect to the app over and over and over again. I honestly can’t believe how much money I wasted on this piece of garbage

My speaker doesn’t even work.. I hate corporations and this is why. My book 2 speaker has been working fine for months now, but now it just turns on and connects and doesn’t show up as an audio output option. The app has always sucked at working like it’s supposed to but it used to be able to turn on and connect my speaker. Now it’s showing that the speaker has an update but won’t let me update it because I “need to turn the power on”… while I’m looking at the light on the speaker and it says it’s connected to my phone.

Party Up NEEDS to be updated!!!. These speakers have so much potential, but the app needs some work. i’ve noticed that people have been complaining about it for over a year and nothing has been done. It’s sadly disappointing that the speakers cost so much and the developers aren’t taking the time to update these apps for the speakers. I myself have two hyper booms and two mega booms, and can’t listen to all of them all at once, without it cutting out or loosing connection. Why has nothing been done? Why is Apple letting these developers get away with such low ratings.. We pay good money for Quality speaker but the app can get a decent update for over a year? Can we get this reviewed and fixed? How many people have to put a bad review to get this resolved? Fix this and I guarantee you it will make those ratings go back up and sell more product. Thank you Unsatisfied Customer

app is awful. Getting two speakers to work in stereo should not be a process that takes multiple attempts, having to shut down both speakers and phone first to work correctly almost every time. If you cant have stereo music coming from your speakers within 60 seconds of that decision then you need to send your engineers back to work

It (doesn’t begin to) “just work”. Just got a second UE Boom 2 to pair them, and downloaded the app. Updated the firmware on both as per the app alert, and had to go through the whole matter of renaming both speakers to tell them apart, then have iOS “forget” them and re-pair them with the new names. It seems like it’s hit or miss if they’ll both work when in Party Mode, and hot-switching from Double to Stereo always results in my losing one speaker’s audio altogether. The Boom 2 isn’t new tech, nor is the Double/Stereo feature on the app. Everything should work without fail every time. Maybe Apple should allow two or more Booms working together through Apple Music; if they do, I’ll likely not bother with the UE app.

UE Megaboom App is Glitchy and needs to be updated, so does the UE Megaboom itself.. My UE megaboom firmware, is V.2.4.16 and it’s has glitches, and sound issues, and bugs as well that needs to be fixed with an newer firmware immediately, and for the App the Party UP feature is also very Glitchy, like when I use it, sometimes the Sound doesn’t come out of both Megabooms, or doesn’t work at all, that should be also updated too.

Nrks r listing to you with this device.. Eager really blows this thing is ran fine no Knigge really close and staying in. Hey Siri app I just typed first two sentences like if it didn’t hear what I said anyway this speaker really blows me good blows my ears out because it like to listen to me from a far

Party Up is Glitchy. I own 2 booms (one of the newer models) and the party up feature for the past 6 months has been glitchy. One of the two speakers often drops off and disconnects and is unable to reconnect without turning off both speakers, closing the app, turning Bluetooth off and back on on my phone etc. Both speakers are equidistant from my phone (just using as 2 channel stereo in a room within a 15ft radius so it’s not a Bluetooth out of range signal issue). When I first got the speakers it was a different issue - one of the two speakers would frequently skip and have static. Suddenly it all worked great for maybe 3-4 months, and now it’s the one of the two speakers drops off (it’s not specifically one of my two speakers either, they both do it). Also happens on my wife’s newer iPhone 11.

Buyer Beware. Ok, so this is more of a review of UE not this App. I currently have two of the Megablasts as well as two mini blasts that I have had for well over ten years and still work great. Apparently UE no longer supports these, they say because of changing technology I say it’s more because they want you to buy their new stuff. What’s the point of making HW that lasts if you’re not going to support it? It makes me skeptical of the company and will definitely influence my future purchases from UE

Software issue in Party Up. I have two Megaboom 3's and they are great, but there is an issue with the Party Up feature that causes the secondary speaker to sound like it's occasionally, whopping(?) It mainly happens from the Rap genre, and it's consistent. Also voices without vocals also cause the speaker to have a slight crackle, and this is NOT a physical issue with the speaker. Any speaker you connect in the Party Up function will have those two issues. It is strictly software, so I'm hoping that you guys can fix it, cause it ruins a lot of songs for me cause it's extremely noticable.

Constantly having to turn it on.. I'm hard of hearing. I use the speaker feature constantly. More than several dozen times a day. I also have my speaker constantly on charge so battery drain is not a consideration for me. The speaker on off button does not connect and I constantly have to go to settings to connect to Bluetooth. The app icon is useless for connecting also. The old way was perfect for me. Auto disconnect and constant background boom is annoying.

Do not recommend. I have 2 UE BOOM 2 speakers. Party up works alright when I have the speakers 10ft apart or less but going much further than that causes the music to cut out frequently on one of the speakers. Other than that, the sound is pretty decent for the size and I like being able to use the party up feature in stereo mode but again, the poor range limits my use of these speakers and I would not buy these again. But since I’m stuck with them for now, would appreciate having Apple Shortcut support added to the app so I can automate setting up the party up stereo function.

UE BOOM. I love my ueboom and mega boom speakers own 5 of them and all of them play together stop Hating about the speaker or speakers u own and give them a chance to make them better in the future true story 🤙✅💯

glitch as all get out. i’ve had my speaker for almost 2 years and in the past 4 months it’s been SO glitchy. i can’t get through an audio book or playlist without it popping in and out. what an absolute bummer. it makes listening more of a hassle than anything.

Can’t access the rest of the app. I’ve just recently moved over from Samsung to iPhone and I’m having an issue with the app already. Unfortunately due to the underlying issue of the app having not been updated for over a year I believe that it won’t allow my 14 pro to get past the connect a speaker phase I’ve tried everything that I’m capable of doing and tried to see if it was user error. However this is not the case Logitech being as large as a company as is creating great hardware for PC and gaming is now ignoring their issue of updating this app for newer phone systems which seems blasphemous to me considering I’ve used these speakers for 4 years now with the boom 2 and now the Meagaboom 3. I can’t access the equalizer or in app operation for the speaker and am greatly disappointed. If someone can get this fixed that’d be greatly appreciated.

Battery/charge problem. So many bug fix and enhancement, so why are my mega boom speakers keeps getting worse and worse? I bought two mega boom speakers in early 2018. Two or three years later one of the speaker (blue one) is stuck in a 10% state of charge no matter how long it stay on a charger. If the manufacturer knows that at some time in the life span of this products the battery will need replacement why did they seal the battery in? This is just stupid. I’m sick and tire of throw-away-electronics. This is where government regulation needs to step in and do something about this problem. My 70 year old dad bought a vacuum tube sound system at the age of 21. That sound system with its original speakers still work flawlessly and never been to any repair shop. I have no doubt that if you visit the homes of CEO(s) who run these high tech companies, you will find vaccuum tube technology while they are selling us throw away electronics. Something needs to be done about this.

App is unfortunately crawling with bugs. Not one to write a review, but UE ought to consider revamping their BOOM app. I have 1 Hyper Boom and 2 Mega Booms. The overall functions and performance of the BOOM app needs to be tweaked and adjusted. Finding a device, pairing, determining which speaker is the main hub, etc. Overall, I really like the speakers I have! HB and both MB’s sound great after years of use. This app is just plain clunky and awkward.

Stereo!. I used this app when I first bought my UE Booms some years ago. It didn't seem to add much to the equation so I stuck with using the pairing protocol with just the speakers. Well, that has always been pretty finicky so I came back to the app and I am stoked that it worked with ease AND there's a stereo option now! Game changer!

app causes connection issues. after much experimenting, and reading other people suggesting the same thing, i decided that the app itself is causing connection issues with the partyup feature. I could be wrong, but the audio drop outs are so much better now. much less frequent. i tested it with another device and same thing. UE plz fix this app. so many bugs too.,

🔊Party-Up 🔊 does Work Great (just need to have good line of site). I’ve had two MegaBOOMs for years & they work great together! They work great as long as there isn’t anything significant blocking your iPhone/ iPad and the 1st Connected Speaker & then from the 1st to 2nd Speaker! (the signal seems to go from the Device to one Speaker & then to the Next Speaker - daisy-chain) People, it’s Bluetooth after all - which isn’t nearly as robust as WiFi for transmitting signals! Sometimes the App does get confused if you disconnect by going far away from the Speaker(s). Again issues are more from the inadequacies of Bluetooth than this App! I find the BEST PRACTICE is to Turnoff the Speakers via the App & then Quit the App (it seems like if you keep the App open, it’ll try to connect to the Speakers - which can get the app confused 🤔).

Terrible. I’m having trouble pairing this device to my iPhone. It paired once then disconnected. I deleted the app then forgot the device and started all the way over. When I re downloaded the app there was no way for me to add the music back on to playlist through the app. It didn’t give me the option from the Home Screen. I tried to return this device. I could not. Now I have another shelf ornament.

Party up doesn’t “Party up”. I love the speakers but I really need them to play in sync. I’ve reinstalled app, turned speakers on and off, I’ve even told Bluetooth to forget the device and reconnected, nonetheless nothing…. I just noticed the app hasn’t updated bugs and given fixes in a year!? Have they dropped the product support? Certainly seems so.

Can’t turn speaker off. Just bought a Megaboom 3 and the app doesn’t turn the speaker off. It puts it in standby but its constantly turned on so the battery is always dead when I want to use it. Apparently this is a new feature? Why is turning on a portable speaker with a button more inconvenient that having dead batteries all the time? Speaker is getting returned and all deleted.

I love the speaker. The sound on the boom 3 is awesome, ive seen complaints Buh I haven’t had any of those issues…it comes on with a tap on the app as expected,I plan to buy a couple more 🎵

Constant disconnect. I was a big fan of UA Boom speakers and software but now I party up 2 units and they constantly disconnect from each other now (bimonthly still powered on). I’ll walk back into the room to find only one speaker is playing. I also noticed that just trying to pair the two for a party up can be hit and miss. Since Logitech purchased this product, they’ve neglected it, and it is a shame because the speakers still sound amazing. I wish there was another way to pair these two speakers up.

PINK SLIPS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!. It’s too bad one cannot give negative stars! Everyone involved in developing this worthless drivel need to be given Pink Slips £ escorted to the exit immediately. It is unfathomable that Logitech is associated with this nonsense. It is bad enough that there is no way to extinguish that obnoxious sound that it makes when turning on or off and no AUX jack/port on the UE Megaboom to connect directly but this is putting rock salt into a gunshot wound £ stitching it closed. Also, it will no longer connect via bluetooth to my MacBook Pro. I tried to return the speaker but it was beyond the return date. [yea, I did the dance through the website] The software, once downloaded onto my iPhone, never shows the MegaBoom in the bluetooth window. This is worse than the KEF LSX attempt at a bluetooth app. Yes, my bluetooth function works because I writing this message with my Logitech K760 Solar Keyboard via bluetooth. RECOMMENDATION: Burn this disaster of an attempt at a bluetooth app. AND burn the draft boards it was written on. Stick to hardware £ make sure it works. This should be considered an absolute embarrassment for a company such as this. Spend you money JBL if you want to connect via cable. Otherwise, if it is in the budget, get a pair of PSB, ELAC or Klipsch active speakers if you do not necessarily need portability.

Turn Off / Turn On Feature. So far I’ve had years with this speaker and I do honestly love it. My main issue so far is that Turn On feature on the app is no longer usable which was very convenient at times and was a game changer compared to other speakers. I would definitely love to see a software update to address that concern. UPDATE** For users experiencing the same issue try this. 1. Delete Bluetooth connection to device. 2. Format speaker by pressing power button and play/pause button for 6 seconds. 3. Delete and reinstall app. 4. Repair speaker. Turn Off and Turn On feature should work now and the speaker is back at 5 stars. Developers/Brand feel free to send me products for testing with one or multiple speakers.

Party Up Is Useless. Just bought two Hyperbooms and the second one is useless since party up doesn’t work properly even with the two speakers right next to each other. Now I just have to decide if I return one or both. Ridiculous with how expensive these are. I have an $80 pair of Ootz angles that connect flawlessly to each other. I can’t believe UE put this garbage on the market like this.

Party Up useless. I bought a second Boom 3 speaker just so I could connect them for stereo sound. Party Up has successfully connected to both speakers at the same time maybe 2-3 times out of dozens of attempts, and when it does, one of the speakers (it’s random which one) drops within 10 minutes. Most of the time, I can’t even get Party Up to work at all. Additionally, if I have two speakers turned on that the app recognizes, it reads that the battery on one of them is at 0% or 10% (which it isn’t). I completely wasted my money on a second Boom because of the uselessness of this app.

Used to be a fan, going to a new brand. Very unpleased with UE and boom. Neither of my speakers work with the new ‘updated’ app. They used to work with the previous versions. The app has not been updated again in over a year. Called customer service, they tried to help but we could not get the app to recognize the either of my speakers. After years of being a UE fan, owning more than 5 of the speakers, I will be selling them and going another route.

Good product great app. I Got the megaboom3 had a issue with it called up customer service and they picked up right away. Help me fix my device in 3 minutes no joke. I originally had a bad review but now I must say I’d buy another one to party up !

Awesome sound!. My wife bought me the Boom3 for Fathers Day along with the charging system the speaker sits on top of. I absolutely love it! The sound quality is awesome and the charge last long as long as I chill for listening to music. The best is the Ultimate ears app that allows me to easily turn on/off and control the volume from my Iphone. Definitely not dissatisfied like most the reviews on this page.

Spotty Audio Connections on Party Up, App is Style Over Substance. Cart before the horse here on execution. Audio quality and connection should be paramount over all of the other convenience features. It shouldn't be an iterative process to successfully get 3 speakers partied up and by no means should any have audio cutting out while sitting next to one another fully charged playing music (5G WiFi, downloaded tracks, whatever, there's a codec issue here). The app looks nice and all but at the end of the day all I'm looking for is a high quality stable connection between multiple speakers. If I need to physically get up and walk over to turn one on/off or adjust the volume so be it. EQ, nice to have but I'll trade it any day for rock solid audio with no cutouts. Requiring the app to parry up may look cool with the dots and all, but functions 10x better and consistently on the cheaper wonderboom models (which sadly are limited to 2 max otherwise I'd just buy 8 of them). Ignore the completion from the likes of Bose, beats, JBL etc.... you have some solid underlying physical engineering that the app doesn't do justice and even detracts from. Forget adding extra features and focus on the core product and main reason people buy your speakers, to listen to some dang music.

So……no longer supports the Wonderboom.. Tried to use my Wonderboom with my iPad and when I go to the App and choose it as my speaker it says that there is “No app for this speaker”. Since when?? Yes, my Bluetooth is on. Yes, everything is “plugged in”. Yes, everything is “turned on”. What gives?? My Boom3 works fine but I use it at work and it would be nice to use the one that I bought for home AT HOME. Otherwise, the speakers are excellent - or else I wouldn’t have them. But what good are they if they can’t be used via the app? ~Frustrated and disappointed.

Don’t now wye everyone has problems with this app. The pairing works fine but sometimes I need to try a second time. NEVER have I need to try more than 2 times unless the battery is dead. Works great. I have my UE Boom 2 since the lounch a long time a go. Yes they do uncharged if I don’t use them but in like 20 mins it is fully charged up again. If you have issues with the top tapp on the uebooms then in the app you can troubleshoot it in like 10 seconds. Get this app if you have even like the first gen speaker. Great speakers I can recommend strongly. Yes they are pricey but so worth it.👍😍

best speakers ever!!!. i own the wonderboom 2 speaker some people don’t actually know how to treat nicely there speakers like some people said there speaker is glitchy because YOU DONT TREAT IT RIGHT its some times glitchy because it is low on battery or you may have dropped it in water like my older brother did with his speaker so he traded it for a other wonderboom 3 the sad part is you cant use the app for the wonderboom 2 speaker and it lasts for a good period of time so i never have to actually worry about it dying for its 13 hour battery its small portable and i love the outdoor mode because i love camping hiking biking so this speaker has the same efficiency for those types of environment so these speakers are THE BEST if you just treat them RIGHT!!!

Horrible alarm integration. Do not use this app to set your speakers as an alarm clock. The app seems to have a mind of its own going off at the right time whenever it feels like it. If you want the alarm capability you are better off purchasing another device. Aside from issues with the in app alarm I have never had an issue with a UE speaker. It’s just such a flaw I can’t ignore.

Let us turn off Remote Power. Since one update you removed the ability to turn on or off the remote power option. Now that feature is always on and is draining battery like crazy if I don’t use the speaker for a week or two. That is a really bad decision for the user because it will likely kill the battery in the long run. If my speakers die because of this I will buy speakers from another brand.

Is not supporting I touch 6&7. I used to love the app that you control the equalizer and set up with other speaker but now doesn’t do that please can fix this issues…. Also I have an itouch with iOS 12 the party up is gone and also the equalizer .....! What happened with the app before 😟

App doesn’t work even after the update. Had the hyper boom for years and it worked perfectly. I loved it! Then all of a sudden it would stop playing a song after 4 seconds. I tried different songs but the same thing would happen. I tried on my husband iPhone 11 and my sons iPhone 10 and it didn’t have an issues playing any songs. So I chalked it up to an incompatibility issue with my iPhone 14 since it’s newer. Eventually, the app was finally updated after YEARS of no updates, and my phone was able to connect and play through my entire playlist with no issues. I was thrilled and happy that my $$ wasn’t wasted (bc this thing was not cheap). But lo and behold a week or two after the update, my music keeps stopping after 4 seconds….again. I don’t understand. We pay all of this money for a device and it doesn’t work.🗑️

Adjusting to new App. Like many of the commenters of recent to the latest App version, I too spent in excess of 3 hours trying everything to get my 2 UE Booms to double up, without any joy and with ever growing animosity towards Logitech. As long as your speakers are up to date with the latest firmware, as well as your App, it's all really very simple to get them hooked up again in stereo. With both connected to Bluetooth and on the 1 Up Speaker playing page, just swipe up the speaker showing with the ? mark at the bottom of the page and presto - you now have 2 speakers playing and you have the option of Double or Stereo. Success!!

Firmware updates?. There is nowhere to find out whether there is a firmware update. My UE boom 3 just completely lost the plot yesterday morning 30 minutes into a 24 hour drive. All I can find about it is that I should open the app, click “more”(non existent option), and then check for firmware update (another non existent option). The app still looks the same as the old garbage even after app update that shows an entirely different app to the one I’ve got.

Brilliant system. This is definitely the best portable Bluetooth speaker and app setup on the market. Before purchasing the Boom I read and watched countless reviews and comparisons to other brands and today gave in and bought one. App works seamlessly with the speakers and it's very user friendly. Glad the update is available with EQ controls as the bass response does need to be tweaked a little bit. One other update to the APP that I think could easily be done is the ability to use your phone as a microphone for the speaker, This could turn the boom into an almost portable PA system and would have even more uses. Just some food for though, anyways apologies for the long review but it's rare a product comes along and genuinely impressed me!

No dark mode. Constantly blinded by this app when using it at night when I use it to turn on or off my speaker. Grateful for the functionality but it's rough out here.

Walk Away. I'd be very wary of any UE or Logitech product. I have two Mini Booms and despite the fact they still work perfectly (independently) UE have withdrawn the app from the store leaving me without their full functionality. The mini booms don't operate in double up mode without the app despiote what the "help" site suggests. If it happened to me with Mini Boom, it will happen to you with Boom. I'm left with the impression it's a cynical ploy to get me to upgrade to their newer product. Not very customer focused. Not very environmentally focused.

UE doesn’t work with Apple. Don’t know what’s going on with iPhone/Mac pairing but it doesn’t work anymore. I got the app and new UE Boom 2 months ago because I had problems with our older ones. All worked brilliantly with iPhone until today. It worked last night but this morning it’s all just defunct. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the speaker and app and it just doesn’t work anymore. It is always temperamental with the MacBook and often takes many tries uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting etc until it is recognised. Come on UE - half the world has apple products - make them work.

Works well, be patient with updates.. This works as expected; pairs nicely with my own one, can easily create a multi-boom sound system with other people’s, and can easily customise certain aspects in the settings. As with all apps, sometimes some features don’t work after a phone update. Just be patient and things always get back to working.

Should add a widget or Siri integration. The app is great and works as it says but sometimes it has trouble with my Boom 2 and that's why I'm giving it four stars and also a widget or Siri integration would be good so you don't have to load the app to turn the speaker on you could do it from the notification drawer or just say "hey Siri, turn Salerd (my speakers name) on" and it turns on but apart from the issues sometimes it's a great app

No more stereo on double up. When I did latest update, my speakers worked a dream for a few days then a couple of days ago there was only sound from one speaker. When I tried to double up again the sound only came from the other speaker. I want stereo. That is why I forked out all that money for a second speaker. Also it a bit ridiculous that you can't turn on both speakers remotely or check battery levels on both speakers.

Party Up doesn’t work. App constantly crashes when trying to use Party Up function (ie playing music through two linked booms). Used to be fine before the update.

iOS Shortcuts Automation. The developers could make this app even better by allowing Apple Shortcuts to open the app, and tell a particular Ueboom to power up. That would then allow for Shortcuts scripting of music played as an alarm on the ueboom in the mornings and for the speaker to be treated more like a Google home or Apple air speakers device.

Awesome Music 5 Stars. Love the UE Ultimate Ears Boom speakers. The best loud sound from all the wireless speakers I have had and tested yet . And because of this app I purchased a second UE Boom speaker and connect and use both at the same time in stereo mode which sounds great with my iPod touch 5th Gen and iPhone 5. Not one issue with this app as it has worked perfectly every time I use it. Well done to the developers of the app and the makers of what is the ultimate wireless portable speakers on the market today. 👍👍👍

Solid app 4 gr8 speaker. A solid app that has just received a aesthetic overhaul making it easier to use on small screens. Smart Bluetooth controls allowing you to remotely turn the UE Boom on though the app should be recognised as a stand out feature of the app. It would be good to see a dedicated iPad app with additional equaliser controls and Up Next view of tracks to be played from your preferred music app.

Not Compatible. This is a great app - you can adjust the EQ of the speaker, connect it to other booms and collaborate them easily, the one touch playlist is great and you can even use alarms, but compatibility with Shortcuts and Siri would be great. For example, in shortcuts automatically turn on the speaker to play a playlist at my bedtime (health alarm thing) Just a suggestion.

App crashes and partyup stopped working. Constantly have problems with multiple speakers dropping out from partyup mode. Now partyup stopped working and finally app stopped working! I invested in multiple speakers to now have them completely useless and a waste of thousands of dollars. Searching the web for a fix didn’t work. Don’t waste your money on these speakers.

On/off. I only use the speaker to play music from my one phone. I have limited experience with different functions. I'm happy with the battery life. But, one absolute mystery is why they have never done anything to the app interface to tell you whether the speaker is on or off??!!!! You open it, and it's the same power button whether you're turning it on or off - so, if you don't know whether the speaker is on or off, you inevitably end up assuming the wrong one and screwing around for five minutes accidentally turning it off instead of on, etc, then having to wait to do the opposite because it takes a while to process. This feels like a really simple functionality.....

Great speaker, great app, annoying animations. For someone who frequently listens to both podcast and music, changing the EQ can be really bothersome when you have to let all the animations play through to change a setting. Would LOVE the next update to add an extra setting to switch off animations. Great speaker guys, thanks for the exceptional quality!!

Awesome Partying ability. Love the speakers. Ability to link them and party is awesome. I have an Apple TV and would like to be able to link my speakers while watching the Apple TV. I can do it a bit difficultly with my phone first but then I can’t set the surround sound - So short of it, Make an Apple TV app; make them Dolby or atoms capable and boom!! Whole nother market. Your welcome 🙏 10% cut will be fine

Finally a big update. App used to be useless, clunky and broken. Couldn’t remote power on UE BOOM 2 even though my original boom had it before upgrade. This update brings back that functionality and actually works. Surprised it took so long, considering the speaker buttons are very limited and you NEED this companion app, but very glad that this update is here.

Not working. Great until I go on to the app today too see it doesn't not work, acts like I'm not connected, I have tried everything e.x. Restarting my phone/trying on different phone/restarting speaker/ forgetting speaker on Bluetooth settings and re-connecting it, fully charging the speaker/my phone and still acts like it's not connected to the speaker ? Please fix this in the new update :) (UE BOOM 2)

Much needed improvement. The thing about this wireless speaker system is that I haven't found another brand that is capable of linking two together to get stereo sound. Which is the reason I bought two, sadly the biggest design floor is the fact that, the connection randomly drops out which produces loss of sound out of one or both speakers. If it wasn't for that, this brand would be the best portable wireless speakers on the market and it would deserve 5 stars.

Needs update. It’s good - when it actually works! The inconsistency of this app is driving me mad! Sometimes it parties up and syncs with another speaker. Which is great. Other times it doesn’t and the speaker disappears on the party up screen when I try to drag and drop it. Super annoying when considering you spend a fortune for 2 speakers with the intention of playing them both together. Please fix!

Thoroughly disappointing.. We bought the megaboom 3 just a few weeks ago. Since then, I have managed to connect it to my phone twice (the second time I had to “forget device”, reset my entire phone to “unforget” & then reset the speaker again (which I had already done), my husband’s phone once, and my iPad once. Each time we go to connect again, is says the speaker is out of range when it’s in fact within 10cm of the device we are trying to connect to. It’s disgusting that we paid several-hundred dollars for a product that has been so unreliable. FIX IT, or we want our money back, please and thank you!

“My music library” option for alarm not really working. I like the functionality of being able to turn on the speaker remotely and have an alarm, however, when I try to set the alarm music to something from my library, the library/Apple Music UI doesn’t appear and I cannot select. “Last played” is the only option since the UI bugs out :(

A horrible previous update made good (about time!). Since updating to the recently released firmware, these sync issues have been rectified with timings being perfectly in sync now and I now recommend this app and speaker to anyone!

All functions done????. Where are all the functions gone? It seem like a speaker operating manual now with this updated version! I cant see any function the old app had (turn on/off remotely, pair speakers). The simply tells me now how to manually turn on speakers, check volume, check battery 🤔 This is totally useless. Alternatively, if I am missing something please design the app so that a person can actually find the functions of the app and not just text. Looked everywhere. Can only fee ‘operating manual’ type info. What’s the use of this app? I want the old app back please.

This app made me return my speakers. I’ll start by saying the hyperbooms are amazing speakers. Such a shame that the app is so unbelievably bad that it makes it not even worth buying the speakers. I had two hyperbooms and just wanted to run them in stereo. Firstly despite having the option to choose which speaker is left/right the app will decide randomly which one is left and which one is right and will refuse to change it. Then the second speakers audio will be noticeably worse than the first. On top of this there are countless buggy behaviours and just overall frustrating chaos. Fix your app UE, it is affecting your speakers sales.

Best update. This app used to be average with some good features and some disappointing factors, but after the last update everything has changed for the better. The app has been completely redesigned and all the features are easier to use with no bugs. LOVE THE SPEAKER///LOVE THE APP

Bluetooth. I really got a problem after i accidentally hit the forget device on my bluetooth. Now its not discoverable, i even called the hotlines and as well as the search the faqs on how to solve the problem but i didn't get a hint on how to resolve this. I already restart the network settings as well as my phone and the speaker but dont get any positive response. I am now really get annoyed on how to fix this simple problem that even other low cost devices could simply fix this matter. Could anyone have the same situation and could help my case?

Never mind. I just got the hyper boom and wOOOOOOW it is so good bro actual this is so much better than JBL

I'm ready to run over my UE's. 👎. What started out as a seamless, quality sound system has turned into a pair of dead paper weights. The speakers began going downhill by losing their connection to one another every so often, then having a mind of their own, not remembering where the volume was set the last time they were used. Now they cannot be 'seen' via Bluetooth by any other device. Absolutely terrible, and a huge waste of money. If I can find my receipt, they're going back to where I brought them from. If I can't, I'm running the useless things over.

Loving it. App is such a great accompaniment to my new megaboom 3. Really enhances the functionality of your speaker. Had a few connection issues with the speaker when it was new, but all the bugs seem to have been ironed out, and everything is like clockwork now. I just wish you could bring back the battery icon next to the headphone symbol that appears when you are connected, I loved that feature on my old boom 2. But overall great user experience if you know what you’re doing.

Hardware is great - App is buggy. My UE Boom runs fine. Streams music with no problems, connection never drops out. On that front, everything is great. App constantly crashes when I press the alarm tab for some reason though. iPhone 6 on IOS9. Problem has been around for a few months and no attempts have been made to fix it. Logitechs support on this app has been abysmal almost the entire time.

Improvements. I highly recommend that a night mode is implemented as the bright white is not nice on the eyes, especially at night, in anyway whatsoever. Even a possible timer feature at automatically turns off your speaker would also be incredibly useful. Besides that, the app seems to work reasonably well, sometimes it disconnects randomly and it's a tad annoying, but its bearable.

Much better now. works fine, I can use the remote on/off function with the new update. In fact it’s the only reason I’m writing this review, it finally works! Not sure about the other people complaining about it being confusing because it’s a very simple layout? I did have to manually connect the speaker and phone ONCE after the update, now I can do it all through my phone. The only things missing is alarms which tbh, I’m not fussed about. People need to learn to use technology before leaving bad reviews. It’s all there, just looks a little different

Finally a stable release with full functionality. I’ve had my MEGABOOM for a little bit over 12 months now and this is the first stable app version with alarm clock functionality. A bit disappointing given that I purchased the speaker specifically for use as an alarm clock!

Latest update ruins my speakers.. Hello Logitech. Previously I loved my UE Boom speakers and have two of them. I had linked them in double up mode manually, not via the app. They have worked perfectly like this for over a year and I swap them from different phone and could use them in double up mode without needing the App. Now I need the app and cannot pair them manually. This is very disappointing and I want them to work how they did previously. I don't need to party up 50 speakers. I just want my two speakers to work as they were advertised to when I bought them. Also when using the app now in party up mode the second speaker crackles and pops constantly. It never did this before. If I swap which speaker is commented to the phone the crackling swaps over to the other speaker. Please let me roll back or fix this so I can pair manually again.

We’re working on something new!!. How to wreck good function. Didn’t you learn the last time you changed functions!! Leave the remote on and off function alone.... I updated then realized I couldn’t turn off and on remotely. I rolled back!! Just like the developers need to do! If it ain’t broke... Can the developers actually respond to the feedback we take time to make! And specify the updates not ‘bug fixes’. I am never updating again until I know what is in an update and remote on and off is back!!

Great control, poor alarm. The app provides great control over your music and pairing with other devices. The alarm is also quite cool as it turns on the speaker remotely to wake you up. However, you cannot set it to weekdays. Only everyday or once off. Thus it has to be set every night which is annoying as. Other than that it’s great

Best speakers out there. I have no issues, been using for years. Got a megaboom recently that my 2 boom2’s are “sticky’ed too” & never looked bad. Only suggestion would be to select which sounds the speakers make. Hate hearing the max volume sound as I can tell when it’s not getting louder. I do miss the searching & power-on sounds because of this however. Being able to select which alert sounds are played would be awesome

One App for Boom & Megaboom awesome Sept 2018. The app refresh is great. Instead of 2 apps, one each for boom and megaboom now there is one. And it is a huge improvement including the ability to use an equaliser. The app connects to the prime speaker that you have connected via the phone Bluetooth. Then other speakers can connect via the app and the prime speaker. We have three connected in our house and it works brilliantly. Megaboom 3 as the prime speaker and 2 booms as subsidiary speakers. When I travel I take one of the booms with me and can use it for conference calls with several people around the table. Good job on the update UE.

Great sound worth the money. Awesome sound, clean bass. When you pair it with another one it's like an actual boombox. I did a bit of research before i bought one and its worth the money. All the positive reviews were right. I take it everywhere, travelling, teaching, at home. People often look to see where the sound is coming from. Bluetooth connection is brilliant. No problems pairing at all. Easy set up and fast charge. Lasts 3-4days straight with constant use. Love my UE Boom.

Triple up?. Hey guys, the new update looks great and has some cool features, however we need to be able to remote turn on 2 speakers for a double up. Also with the new UE MEGABOOM, I would absolutely love to purchase it but I can only double up, so this means I will still have one UE boom left out. So if you guys can work on getting a 'Triple up' for all the people who already have 2 UE Booms and want to purchase this amazing MEGABOOM to connect with them for a lot more Bass, that would be amazing and I would definitely go get my hands on the Megaboom. Thanks soo much. :)

Waste of money. I bought 3 Boom 3s so I could play music on all speakers at the same time in different rooms because that’s what they are meant to do. But they don’t. All speakers are connected through Bluetooth and they all show in the app but that’s where any features finish. The app says the black speaker is playing but it’s the pink one that’s playing. When I go to party up, I drag and drop the other speaker as it says to but it makes the music stop for a second, doesn’t connect the other speaker, and drops the second speaker back to the selection row.

Severe BOOM2 battery drain when powered off. Ever since the option to disable “remote on/off” was removed from the app (probably about a year ago), my BOOM2 speaker experiences severe battery drain when powered off. I use it a few times a month and every time I try use it, the device battery is critical and I have recharge it. It would be great if this option could be returned to the app so that the battery doesn’t drain for the remote on/off function.

App doesn’t work!. Bought a brand new Boom 3 speaker yesterday and out the box it was fine and the app worked well, which I liked for the on off feature. However now, no matter what I do, even if the speaker is connected the app doesn’t work. It doesn’t recognise the speaker is connected to my phone. I have reinstalled the app, reset the speaker, everything! However none works.

Not a good app anymore.. I don’t understand why, but this app does not the iPod Touch 6 use the Remote Control feature anymore. I use my iPod to play my music because this is where I store my songs. The only reason why I used this app was to turn on my speaker without needing to be near it. Sometimes I even used the feature to find my speaker if it was near or because my friends were trolling me and hid my speaker. Now that the iPod is no longer able to use this “feature”, I don’t understand the point in using this app. You can’t even switch songs on the app so there is no point using this app. I don’t understand what Logitech is doing, but so far everything’s only getting worse. Not happy at all.

Minimal and useful. I appreciate the interface, providing an easy way to access and tweak main functions of the speakers. I haven’t tried pairing yet, but the icons are easy to find and convey the message that I can at some point. The minimal approach is effective, and there seems to be an update implementing the on / off function - addressing feedback from a user. Though, it would be nice if the on / off output sound of the speaker matched the last known state of volume level (especially at 3am). Great work and product(s) nonetheless.

Room for improvement. Love that I can use my phone to control my speaker. Suggested improvements- make it so that the alarm will sound when speaker sounds are switched off. I don’t like hearing them but I do want to use the alarm. Also consider a sleep timer, where the speaker fades out over say 10 minutes then turns itself off without sound at the end of it. The alarm is not always reliable and changes the track played, unsure if latest update has impacted that.

Wonderboom. The reason I’m not rating this lower is because it is a good app. My dad has a MegaBoom 3 and it works beautifully. For Christmas I got a WonderBoom. I was so exited! I got the app, clicked it, and oh... there is no app. I checked all the other ones, they all have apps, but why not Wonderboom? Please either do not advertise that it is compatible when it is not, or at least make an app or add it to the app. Updates are being wasted on ‘bug fixes’, why not a Wonderboom section?

Does not work with my Wonderboom. Does not work with my Wonderboom. Does not recognize that the speaker has been connected to Bluetooth. Is there another app that works with the Wonderboom?

Fine app but some features haven’t worked. This app looks better than the last edition, but specific features are not working. The specific feature that hasn’t worked for me is remote power on. I’m able to turn my speaker off using the app but it doesn’t let me turn on my speaker without manually pushing the button. The second problem is that app doesn’t show accurate battery level, it always shows 0%. Thankfully apple shows the correct batter level in the notification area. Any solutions to these issues would be much appreciated

Not working. App worked before but doesnt now!

Buggy. Battery life doesn’t show in iOS 13 widget. Wish I didn’t have to open up the app every time to see the battery life.

PARTYUP is useless. PARTYUP doesn’t work properly. Has a hard time syncing with other speakers and once it does the speaker needs to be close together or else it keeps cutting out. The only reason I purchased this speaker was for this option but it doesn’t work as advertised. Will be returning my megaboom

Party Up a Downer!!. Linking two UE Boom speakers is a great idea, in theory! I prefer to listen in stereo, which is not possible with a single Bluetooth speaker. However, buying a second UE Boom has brought only frustration as this app fails to maintain the stereo connection and frequently drops one speaker anyway… nice try UE, but maybe a bit more time and effort in the R&D phase next time. Are new updates ever coming to correct this?! I can only hope..

Missing features. I’d like to be able to turn off remote power in settings for the megaboom. Spotify playlists for the magic button. Battery percentage in the battery widget.

Remote Power ON/OFF. My UE boom has become useless due to the fact that every time I reach for it, the battery is dead. Removing the option of choosing whether remote control of the speaker is on/off was the one of the worst decisions the company has made. The speaker is essentially always on and on standby, thus draining the battery at a much more rapid rate. I would not recommend people buy this product. Look for something of a higher quality from Bose. JBL is also a more affordable alternative.

latest update, took my $200 speaker and made it a paperweight!!. This was a fantastic speaker until a couple of days ago when the latest update bricked it it’s no longer useable congratulations logitech!!!

YouTube music service would be great. Jason

Spotty connection. As soon as I connect a second speaker it gets choppy. What a waste of money on the second speaker.

Update is bad. This update will not allow Bluetooth to maintain a connection with my IOS device. Battery says 10% then 60% instantly after plugging in. What did they do to the program!!! Used to be so much better!!!

Decreased longevity and money hungry. They removed the Toggle for the Remote Power a few years back so now your speaker drains battery automatically and requires you to recharge more frequently. Since I don’t use my speaker daily this is a huge pain. However for Logitech this is great… batteries have a limited lifetime of charges and they are essentially forcing you to continually recharge your speaker… slowly decreasing the battery life until you get to the point of such short battery life where you need to buy a new speaker. Based on this I don’t expect them to ever “add back” this old but great toggle feature.

Cuts out. I love my BOOM 3 speaker! BUT when I try to take a picture on Snapchat it pulls the volume all the way up! Ouch!

Most features gone.. The latest app update removed almost all features from the app. EQ, Party Up, ability to update speaker firmware are all gone. Connection to the speakers is also crackly and inconsistent

The old app worked better. The previous cersion of this app both looked better, functioned better, and was easier to use. The new one is more confusing, and UI elements overlap in odd ways (iPhone 8). I’d rather go back; never had an issue with the old one.

Alarm doesnt work. Anyone who is relying on this as an alarm clock will be sad to find out that the alarm clock doesnt work anymore since the newest update

EQ Is unspecific. I wish the EQ told you what frequencies you were adjusting, and how many db you were adjusting them by

Best portable Bluetooth speaker. App works great, speaker is awesome!!

Music. Wished it worked for Spotify and now only Apple Music and Amazon

DJ (pair up to 3 devices to one speaker) feature gone?!. Is it just me or is the DJ feature/mode (where you can pair up to 3 devices/phones up to one speaker) gone now? That was one of the best features/modes that me and my friends used when just vibing our to music and queuing up songs. Is it permanently gone?! Will if be back in a future update? ...I sure hope so. Let us know app developers!

Like an ant hill. There are so many bugs and headaches with this app that the only way to add more bugs would be to kick over an ant hill

The app and firmware are horrible. This is one of the most unstable apps and firmware I have ever used. When having 2 speakers connected In party mode. The connection issues and glitching is horrible. There is no double down lock as the manual says. Fix these issues and the speaker sounds amazing

No update feature in app or notification that firmware needed. No update feature. It took a lot of effort to figure it out via the Mac with my Hyperboom. Instructions are not straight forward. I purchased the megaboom 3 and Hyperboom to connect together and the experience is awful. Crackling and not a seamless process. Sony, Sonos, and Bose apps are all ahead of yours. So much potential to improve

New app update completely ruined speaker. The new update not only blew my speaker somehow but it also disconnects every 10 minutes now. I’ve bought 3 hyperbooms over the last 2 years and am now selling them all cause they don’t even work properly anymore. Would definitely expect more when I’m spending $600 for a speaker. and the new sound quality that came with the update is terrible.

Yeah. Just find out that you can turn off that ANNOYING sound when you maxed out the volume. Awsome!!

Broke my speaker!!. my speaker volume can no longer fet louder than 40% more or less.(sounds like less) I think this happened after I went into party mode with a smaller speaker. But the volume is fine on other devices. (without the app)

Bluetooth issues. Following a software update for the app, my speaker is no longer recognized by my IPhone 6. This glitch is very annoying as it had worked well with he previous version.

Wonderboom. Love love love my Wonderboom but give UE a single star because they have not created an app for me to use with the Wonderboom. Only really want to be able to check battery levels like I can do with UE Roll.

Update Kills Battery. They removed the ability to turn off Remote Wake! Now the speaker is always scanning for a connection, even if you think the speaker is off, and the battery dies in double the time! The Boom speakers used to last days on standby, not true ever since the update.

Unfortunate. The previous version of the app worked great for me but this version won’t let me turn on my BOOM 3 and so I deleted it and tried to reconnect my speaker but now it won’t let me reconnect my speaker at all. I love the speaker itself and I loved the version of the app they had until this last update but the app needs to be fixed

Streaming options. Would love to see YouTube music added to streaming options! Other than that I love the app, works great!

Can’t disable remote ON. The new app does not let you turn remote-on on or off, resulting in the speaker constantly running out of power to the point I don’t use it anymore. Terrible.

Ignores wonderboom. Wonderboom original is glitchy bc needs software update. Connected to app multiple times, does not recognize speaker or update it. Breaking perfectly usable speaker by not allowing updates, is not ethical. Will not buy from this series again.

Not compatible wit ios 7. Be warned this update will allow you to install on I0S 7 but crashes upon launch. If you are using an iphone 4 for music like myself do not update. There is no way to revert back (says customer support). Don't update if 5.2 is working for you. I did and it ruined my weekend :(

Get better. The connection stuff needs to be worked out. Like, pronto. I run two, in the same room, because I bought into the dream of having stereo sound. It almost NEVER connects the first time. After countless attempts connecting, restarting, unplugging, etc. it’s a struggle. The firmware updates that they claim are so simple to do following their instructions are in fact, not accurate. They need some serious attention in order to make these speakers perform the way they are advertised.

Powering speaker on from the app. I'm not sure why you guys ever decided to disable the power on mode within the app. That was a big help, if I ever lost my speaker or misplaced it I could find it just by turning it on from the app. Now I misplace my speaker & I have no help finding it. You should bring back the powering on of the speaker within the app.

Recent updates broke things. The big update in the last month no longer fits the app into the screen of my iPhone, leaving labels at the top and bottom missing off screen. Party Up no longer shows my other speakers either. Goodbye playing on multiple speakers.

Connectivity glitch. I constantly get interrupted by “to use this feature make sure your app is running and has access to internet” typically when I have full signal strength. It’s beyond annoying. Major glitch when running cell data. Had I known it would be this bad I’d have bought a different speaker. The app is lacking at best

Ue app. It keeps crashing when I try to pair up with another speaker

Best portable speaker, solid application.. The UE portable speakers are by far and away the best bang for your buck in their class. As someone who has owned one over 3 years now and used this application the entirety of that time I can tell you most other reviews here are totally out lunch. The party up feature works flawlessly and you can easily use the app to remotely power up or down your speaker with ease, otherwise if that doesn’t appeal to you you really don’t need the application to enjoy your UE speaker.

App update is bad. The old App was ok. Connections were always troublesome. New App update doesn’t show the PartyUp button anymore and it won’t work either when it does. Deleted App and tried again. We have more than one of these speakers and now they are useless. Poor design. Bad functionality.

iOS7 compatibility is a joke. Installs and updates on iOS7 but crashes upon launch. Basically unusable on this version. Tested on both iPhone 4 and 5s running iOS7 and it just refuses to function.

Trash…. Bough the first ever mega boom.. amazing product. Over time the app & features have gotten worse. The party up feature is so laggy & undependable. I wish they would fix these small issues to give listeners a better experience but I guess money is only obligating here. I would advice anyone reading this to not buy & go get yourself a JBL or apple home pod, to be honest I highly recommend getting he Sonos same quality with no connection issues.

Since Update Major Issues. Since the update 3 weeks ago the party up feature does not let you sync your speaker with another boom speaker. No matter how many times you try to sync them they won’t connect together to play stereo or together. Can no longer turn speaker on through app. Getting Bluetooth cut out when playing music even if the phone is right next to the speaker. I have two Boom speakers and both are doing this.

Add dark mode. Please add dark mode to the app!

Really?!?. The music works playing through the speaker but the app doesn't not identify the speaker as connected the my phone. It's ironic as I'm playing music whilst figuring out how to connect it to the app. Seriously guys this is expensive and should be in top notch condition or you can give us a refund. Don't advertise this type of stuff if it doesn't work! I WANT MY FULL MONEYS WORTH!!!! 🙄🙄😡😡😤😤

Good speakers with bad software= bad speakers. Buggy and inconsistent app...as is Bluetooth connectivity on all our iOS devices with these next gen UE speakers. Only our original Boom connects reliably, we have a Megaboom 2 and 3 and both are plagued with same issues an app doesn’t help.

Great App and MegaBoom Soeakers. I love the app’s features and quality sounds from MegaBoom and MegaBoom3 speakers that pair flawlessly.

The app is getting worse. Bought 3 Boom 2’s a year ago and once I updated the software on the speakers everything worked great. I could party all of the speakers up and they all connected and I could see the names of each one. Now recently in the party up feature it doesn’t give the name of the speakers so I can pick and choose which ones I want to connect. It just says Boom 2. When I am picking a host speaker I can see the names. Now it also seems to be skipping more often when using the party up feature. The host speaker seems okay but the auxiliary speakers skip around. This app is becoming pretty much worthless. I was planning on buying additional speakers because I could connect them all through the app but now I am seriously reconsidering! I would be happy to increase the star rating but please fix these issues as soon as possible or I may just end up going with another brand!

You Screwed it Up. My app worked great then you decided to improve it and now it is totally broken and useless. Now I can’t control my speakers from my phone. I’m sure you didn’t do this intentionally but how can you release an app without knowing it doesn’t work? Just fix it quickly. Edit: I got a quick response from tech support. Try this. The app apparently needs to be introduced to your speaker. You can no longer turn it on via the app. Turn it on manually and let it connect. Now, a totally new screen appears that wasn’t there before. Now you can use the app with the speaker. Go figure. But thanks for being responsive. I’ve upped my rating.

Very Disappointed. Recently purchased my 1st Ultimate Ears a UE Boom 2 and although I'm able to connect the speaker and play music, there are problems with the app! The Alarm does not play the selected music, it plays random songs from my music library that are not selected (you also do not have the ability to remove selected songs). The Remote On/Off also does not work. You can remotely turn the speaker off but, you cannot remotely turn the speaker on (I have an iPhone 6s so this option should work but it doesn't). After reading other reviews of this speaker and the app, I will most likely return the speaker. It does not preform as promised. Very disappointed in this purchase!

Boom 3. Over all a good waterproof wireless speaker. No auxiliary input tho which I don’t mind that much. One cool feature is if you press the volume up & volume down buttons at the same time it tells you how much battery is left. The app tells you exactly how much battery is left. What would be cool is if the speaker told you exactly how much battery is left! Let’s say you have 86% battery left the speaker would tell you you have 80% battery left. You’d have to use the app to check how much is left exactly! Other than that it’s an awesome speaker with a long lasting 12 hour battery life. Worth the money !

Speakers Great, App..Well. I love the Boom speaker! Decent if Apple type price. Small size which I love, but plenty of great sound. The app? Well, after a lengthy support call, un-install as directed, and a re-install, still cannot get the volume to work from the app on my iPhone 6. Only the battery display comes up - I do love having the two ways to check battery. But would like the remote volume to actually work. All else functions as it should. A lot of pairing and re-pairing (in both senses of the word) go on with the Boom and the app. I agree with other reviewers that the app needs work/rework. I also cannot find/get the Boom app for my iPad, despite the claim on site that there is one. That's a big loss. So - great Boom but no unconditional big boom for the app.

Remote power works, but speaker not recognized. Adding to the other reviews about this. When I first got my boom last year, it powered on and connected with Bluetooth automatically. It now powers on remotely, but sends me to the "Lets Hook Up" page, even though already connected. The app needs some work to correct this please. The speaker is a great product once connected. Sound is good and has plenty of power to cause complaints from offices down the hall if I turn it up on a Friday afternoon. Battery life seems good, I play music about 2 hours a day in the office and only charge it every other week. Devs please take a look at the app problems, we would love to have our solid product back 😀

Megaboom bass performance. August 2019 they somehow nerfed all of my megabooms. They took all the bass out for a more detailed audio. They have rolled out updates that take away the rewind song functions. My megaboom bass is no longer loud and the sounds are vary cheep now. Lots of people have agreed. Please update the sound so we can have our original performance. Make the app run more smooth because the app crashes a lot now. I have 10 Megabooms now and each one I updated had taken away its bass power acoustics And I lost my money choosing I wanted this thing and then you guys made it something less i’ve had them for years and all the batteries also die at 50 percent charge. Please fix the problems and not let this be the EOL of this product. The app no longer works on iphone SE

Can’t turn on speaker with phone. Dislike that I can’t turn on the speaker using my phone. I have to do it manually since the app won’t allow me to turn the remote power on, it says it’s not supported but I have an IPhone 7+ & I don’t see how it couldn’t support it. That’s my only complain, if it were to be fixed I’d give it 5 stars. Until then it’ll be at 3. *Update* -I updated my phone & the app started working better, I can now turn the speaker off/on through my phone. Will be giving 5 stars.

New update ruined the app. The app was very simple and I liked that. I was able to pair multiple devices and depending on which device I was using. I’d simply open the app and turn on the Boom2. Never was able to pair multiple devices at the same time which is what I thought the DJ option was supposed to be about. Anyways with the new update, I now have to re-pair the speaker to my device every time I switch between devices. Also the speaker has been unable to be turned on through the app it continues to say speaker failed to turn on. I love the speaker and the quality of sound, but major inconveniences with the app is almost making me second guess it and pursue other options.

Loses connection with speaker. App is nothing special. Allows you to adjust eq to 3 settings, change the name of your speaker, view battery remaining and one or two other things, but the app is useless once it loses connection. Funny, I can stream music and adjust volume on my phone via Bluetooth with no problem, but when I open the app now it tells me to power on the speaker and connect with Bluetooth via the settings panel. Uhhhhh, I'm already connected, but the app doesn't know it. At this point, it's useless. Worked fine when I first connected now it's just a useless app... Fix this and I'll give it 4 stars. For now you get 2 and I'll save the 5th star for something jaw dropping.

Have not experienced a fully functional app. iOS 12(any version I’m convinced)+UE BOOM app= serious disappointment. 2 years as proud Boom owner, but only because of the quality and durability of the BLE speakers themselves. I’ve yet to experience this app as functionality has been very limited from my first download, only to decrease with every update released. Now the app is useless once a connection is established. The display for the speaker seems to go into a sort of ‘hiding mode’ towards the bottom of my display. A press on the speaker name will bring the HUD back up and as fast as my finger is removed.... the HUD goes back into hiding. I really hope Logitech gets this as if the speakers worked like the app.... I’d probably own a JBL Flip4 (ugh) or such.

Needs big improvement!. Many of the functions work well (equalizer, timer, etc), however since the latest update, there seems to be a problem with remote on/off and signal quality. It doesn't seem to recognize the speaker if it's off (although wasn't that supposedly a major improvement since the last version?) and sometimes even has issues if the speaker is first turned on manually. Other reviewers have noted the same issues. Also, when my iphone is in another room, although only about 15 feet away from the speaker, the signal goes in and out (didn't happen previously). This does not happen when using other bluetooth speakers with the same iphone.

Can be a problem, I may have found the solution. I, like many here, have suffered much frustration with the app and the new updates. I now have both the boom and megaboom. After you have installed the correct app for the correct boom model. Power down your iOS device completely and then restart. If things are still a problem go to your Bluetooth screen on your iOS device and click the (i) to the right of the (not) connected message. Then click "forget this device." Then click on "other devices" to find it again. This seems to clear the problem and for me it paired fine and I was able to get both playing together. Hopefully after U.E's major software update these problems will be gone.

Love the Speaker, but the App needs work. Ue Boom makes the best type of portable Bluetooth speaker on the market but the app needs work! You would think that after apple has come out with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that they would have made the app scaled correctly to each size. When you click settings you can see how this app is an iPhone 5/5s app that is just scaled up by apples stretching feature. Suggestions: 1.) Make the app scale correctly for every apple screen size. 2.) Make an app that is compatible for the iPad! Using the iPhone app on this feels awkward. 3.) Access volume on the main screen of the app. 4.) Add more features to the Alarm clock. (I would like to be able to see different times for each day of the week). Also if UE boom marketed more how this can be used as an alarm clock I think more people would buy this. When I show that feature to people they want to get one as well. 5.) Add the ability to assign apple ringtones or alarm alerts as a default alarm sounds. 6.) Add the ability to have the speaker sleep after a set period of time. (If you want music to play for 20-30 mins before you are about to sleep) I would love to give this App 5 stars if they did these features!!!!

Owned 2 of them and love them. I have a reputation with the speakers and as far that goes its amazing . The only problem I have is with the app I run it and before the last update it would display the charging status on the app whenever you would hold speaker icon on the app . Now after the last update you have to manually press the + and - button to hear the speakers current battery level . Please fix it to where I no longer have to do that holding the + and - button at the same time . And make to where when I open it I just hold the speaker icon to see the battery level.

Stereo pairs. I bought one speaker then another. They stereo paired great. So I bought another pair different color for my shop. I was able to switch between pairs initially. The pair in the shop and the pair in the house/deck. I’m now stuck on the shop pair and can only add the others in party up mode. I cannot switch back and forth between pairs. In others words access different pairs for different areas. Very frustrating. This makes two speakers only useable as party up speakers. No idea why it stopped. Speakers are updated and tried everything on the web that people have posted to fix. Can’t even get house pair to connect to bluetooth. They will connect to my wife’s phone but that doesn't help me. Love the sound but some features are useless and frustrating. Please update this problem!

I’ve had few problems but mostly fine with the experience. I own several Boom 3’s and Megabooms 3’s, plus a Boom 2. I have experienced few problems with the app itself. I have experienced the connection issues with the app not connecting/ recognizing the speaker and when pairing 2 or more speakers (stuttering). But these issues rarely occur. The app and speakers work properly about 90% of the time. Not sure why many people have issues with the app but I do agree that the developers need to step their game up. I highly suggest making sure to update the app AND speaker to its latest firmware.

Doesn't work after update. Every update creates a new problem. Whether I'm updating the app or updating the speaker's firmware, the developers frustrate me with a new bug each time. With the most recent firmware update, my Boom 2 has an annoying audio lag when using Bluetooth (ruins movies). When using a line-in cable, it works fine for maybe 5 minutes, but then develops a crackling sound (restarting the device solves it for another 5 minutes). I'm not sure if the developers even bother to do any serious testing before releasing updates, so if you've got a Boom 2 of your own, do not update if your current setup works. You won't be gaining any features that are worth risking your Boom 2's performance.

New Megaboom app of as good as old one. The new combined app is a bit more complied that old one. But biggest disappointment in new one is the automatic setting to to remote power on. This setting is used so that you can turn on speaker from app. The problem is that setting drains concertante power unit while on. So it you leave your speakers off for long periods of time. You may have r to recharge to use. The old app allowed you to turn this feature on and off so if you used speaker frequently you could leave remote power on so you could power speaker on/off with app. Or if you were going to leave speaker for a few weeks you could turn remote power off thereby conserving considerable battery usage while not in use. Please return this setting to app.

Working for me after firmware updates. I was all set to be disappointed with this update after reading so many negative reviews. I had it in my mind that the update wrecked the ability for my pair of Boom 2s to pair up and play stereo after having some trouble trying. But then I noticed that there were firmware updates needed for the speakers. Once I did the update on both speakers, the app works flawlessly for me. I love my Boom 2s when they are playing in stereo! Only four stars because of the confusion I went through before I did the firmware updates. The app is a little too minimal when it comes to instructions.

Firmware error blocks Bluetooth smart access. Bluetooth smart feature can’t be accessed now on my iPhone 7plus when it was working when I got the speaker on Christmas Day. I uninstalled the app, unpaired my phone and reset the speaker and that seemed to fix the issue momentarily however, I am noticing the “plus and minus” buttons as well as the power icon are stuck behind the “lets hook up” screen that shows when a user first installs the app. There seems to be a bug in this latest firmware update and I have screen shots of what I am seeing on my screen if someone wants to take a look.

Great Speakers. Disappointing app.. I want to like this — because the ue Megaboom speakers are outstanding. But after several years of frustrating interface with the Ultimate Ears app, I’m about ready to throw in the towel. Ultimate Ears: please listen. I have updated. And updated and updated. The problem is that the app doesn’t remember the stereo connection of the speakers. Which is an essential function of having the speakers. I can futz with it and get the first speaker to see that another speaker is available, often even by having to re-broadcast the Bluetooth signal, and drag that speaker up to connect in stereo — but doing this nearly every time I play music is ridiculous. I bought a pair of Megaboom speakers for my mom. She loves them — but has the same trouble getting the app to pair them and just play the music on both speakers in stereo. Actually she has trouble getting the app to just play on the speakers. I want to love this. I do love the speakers. But after years of struggling with the shortcomings of the app I’m wondering if I can find some other interface that I can control it with.

Boom 3. I was actually coming to give a thumbs down due to experiencing the same issue as the other reviewers however I was able to resolve it. For those who state the Bluetooth will not connect, the light where the Bluetooth should blink when attempting to connect is actually a button! Press the "Bluetooth light for it to blink”. Not sure what the big circle button is in on the top of the speaker but I was pressing it for hours thinking it was the power button & would initiate my Bluetooth. The power light that comes on is also a button as well. Hope this helps!!* Besides that mishap I actually LOVE my speaker! <3

Used to love it.... This update pǝʞɔnɟ up my boom. A little background. I listen to my boom while commuting to work by bicycle. It's great for that. Stick it in the bottle cage and off you go! Lately, I've had need of it at home with my little one. She has trouble feeding unless we start her off with a copious amount of shushing. When I get shushed out, I have to use an app that has white noise as a feature. Sometimes, I need to boost the volume of this app to the maximum in order for her to respond positively. Sadly and most irritatingly, the new software and firmware update to the device prevents the ability to shut off the alert sounds. This makes it so the resultant 'BOOP' alert sounds off and pisses off both my little one and my wife. Not good. I return to the app and shut off alert sounds, and the sounds re-enable after the unit is shut off. We can't use it as the dynamic device Logitech wants us to believe it is. It may sound great on the bike listening to the Beatles, Meshuggah and Mozart but if you have to use it at home and hate the alert sounds, it's ƃuıʞɔnɟ rubbish. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF ʇıɥs UNTIL LOGITECH FIXES THE ƂUIʞƆNɟ PROBLEM!

Such a shame. While the speaker is great, I find myself having a lot of trouble with the app. When I connect to my speaker via Bluetooth using my iPhone, I can turn the speaker on through the app. Afterwards, the spinning "loading" circle just keeps spinning above the picture of the speaker in the app. This is when I can tell I'll have trouble. A song will play just fine for a little while. Then it cuts out and the song continues to play on my phone. All of my devices are up to date. My phone will play music just fine through my other speakers in my home. Something about this app is causing a lot of frustration and issues with the speaker. The speaker works, I know that for sure, but the app is messing things up. Listen to your consumers. If you're going to put an app out, make sure it works!

connectivity bug. my bad luck to buy two days prior to overseas trip. Works great if you are controlling ONE speaker. Tried to connect a second speaker to same source and it drops the first one. Connectivity for 2 speakers let alone 50 not functioning. Spent 45 min on TECH SUPPORT line trying to just create stereo with two speakers. Rep said the APP was the problem and they would "get back to me by email". Sure hope the wifi where I am going on that little island in the South Pacific works so I can download the bug fix! As an a high end audiophile geek I should have known that cable connections work better. Unfortunately there is no hardwire daisy chain option for these speakers.

Great app! But 1 bug. I love this app, I’ve had my speakers for a little over a year now and I’ve never had this problem before but when I have both of my mega booms connected to the party and they are synced once I play music, every 15-45 seconds there will be a very small and brief cut out from the 2nd speaker. Not the “home” speaker. It’s the one acting as a “receiver” to the 1st speaker. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, and factory resetting both speakers but the little bug continues to happen. I’ve also swapped the speakers so that the “receiver” was the “home” and vise versa for the other speaker but the problem consists. Both of my speakers have been updated too. It’s not my phones Bluetooth because all other things work fine and 1 speaker will not have the bug. And the speakers are not too far apart, they are just ~14 feet apart. Any help?

Quality App. In my experience, this app has been very convenient, simple, and easy to use. I find the simplicity very helpful when I want to quickly change a setting such as the built-in equalizer, or the volume control, as it is right there when I open the app. It doesn’t over-complicate or clutter things, which I find to reflect the simplicity of the speaker itself. The only problem I myself have experienced is being unable to update my speaker, as the app suggests I should, but I believe that problem to be with my speaker itself, not the app.

Needs Work. I went out last week and purchased a second Boom because it could be "doubled up". Spent hours trying to do it with my Dot. I eventually called help (very poorly named). I eventually found that the instructions for doubling up and the actual way to accomplish the task are not even close. I have been able to double up on my Iphone and it works well. There is apparently no way to do it with my Dot or my Echo. I don't know for sure because the TWO emails I sent to support have not been answered. There is no app available for my Ipad. The app has not been updated since Dec '16. I think that is an exceptionally long time without an update, especially for an app that doesn't work as it is supposed to!

Can’t delete boom from device.. Don’t know how to delete boom from app once I’ve synced it. A Boom that I tried keeps coming up on the app and I can’t delete it. The cool things is you can power on and off the boom from the phone. You can also see what your battery life is like. Also, I feel like this update changed the quality of my boom 1 a bit.... which I really like... a lot. I have to say honestly that this boom one still has qualities that the boom 3 doesn’t. I like my boom 1 more. I even went into an Apple store to listen to the boom 3 and the wonderboom side by side, and the wonderboom blew the boom 3 away..... what’s happening?

Improvement is necessary. updated review: I am getting a notification that says the remote control does not work and is not compatible with my device when it was just working recently. I am unable to turn the remote switch on. The notification I got was not accessible with voiceover. Please fix this and make the app accessible for voiceover users. Old review:I love the speaker. The tap controls do not work most of the time and are slow to respond. More importantly, the remote feature doesn't always work when Bluetooth and the speaker are on. The menus and buttons are not accessible with voiceover. Also the latest update to the speakers Bluetooth made the connection with the iPhone worse and audio quality suffers as a result.

An update so bad that I’m inspired to write a review. I’m writing mostly to speak about one saving feature of the previous version of this app. Neither versions have been awe-inspiring. However, the previous version of the app allowed a “turn-on with Bluetooth feature.” Imagine laying in bed on a Sunday morning, completely unmotivated to move, thinking to yourself, “the only thing that could make this better is my lazy Sunday playlist.” If this were a different time (a couple weeks ago), I could open the app, click the “on” symbol, and BOOM, the speaker would turn on without me having to lift more than a finger. For whatever god-forsaken reason, the developers decided that feature was too much and took it away in the new update. Zero out of ten would recommend.

Concerned at first...... My UEboom2's did just what people said, wouldn't pair right/double up after the update. I tried many different things and finally gave up and called the phone # for tech support. They were SO helpful, walked me through the un-pairing process with my phone then helped me reset my UEboom's by having me hold down the Bluetooth button and the - (volume down) button at the same time until the speaker made a funny sound and shut off. They work perfectly now and I loved how helpful tech support was! PHEW! I was so worried they were broken forever but it will all be okay now. I use these to teach a Zumba Fitness class.

.Would love a MacOS app, please!. Boom works well from my phone. The size is right given I’m on the road a lot. The sound quality is pretty good. The battery stays charged a long time. Overall I’m pleased with the product. The one big improvement I would love to see? The ability to use it from my laptop so that I can play all the music on my iTunes, not just the limited music I have on my phone. Won’t you please be the first in the potable speaker industry to have a laptop or PC app instead of just the phone?

Great app!. I am a huge fan of the line of UE Boom speakers (I have one megaboom and one megaboom 3) and this app makes them so much better. I love pairing them and listening to my music much louder. I just wish you could move the speakers a little farther apart for outdoor uses. Also, the app does sometime get a little laggy, but that is more Bluetooth’s fault than anything. The reason I gave the app 4 stars is the equalizer function. It’s works, but it takes away the volume of the speakers. These speakers don’t have a ton of bass and I wish you could add some without taking away the volume. P.S. If Ultimate Ears reads this review, PLEASE make a boom subwoofer to pair with my speakers. They just need more bass.

Remote on/off just made the app perfect. This newest app update is basically everything I wanted. Getting rid of the animations was the best idea ever and the app is now much faster and the design cleaner. Also, remote on and off! Yes! Wireless speaker software updates! Finally! Really great redesign. For those saying that the remote on doesn't work, make sure to check that you've updated the speaker's software and that you've turned this on in the settings. The update could do a better job pointing this out on first open. You obviously also have to have a device with Bluetooth 4.0.

Easy setup...great sound!. I bought the UE Boom 2 for myself as a birthday present to take with me on vacation. I opened the box, turned it on, connected it to my bluetooth (sync was simple and easy) and boom...music was playing. The sound was great for the size of te speaker. Next I downloaded the app and did a quick firmware update to the speaker. It said it takes 5 minutes but it was more like 2-3. Equalizer is easy to use. Remote on and off works perfectly. I'm very happy with the product and the use if the app.

Finally works. The previous versions were terrible. I lost the ability to remote power on for two UE Booms, but after a speaker reset and updates, everything works again. The new app also lets you turn on additional paired speakers remotely, instead of just the "main" speaker. I was planning on getting rid of the Booms I have and replacing them with another brand, but now I'm happy I stuck with them. Also, if you're stuck on the "let's hook up" message, just close the app and reopen it. It's ridiculous how little effort people can expend before complaining about everything.

ONE ISSUE. I rely on this app souly to wake up in the morning because previously it used to go all the way up as high as I set it on the alarm but that function has been bugging out lately and It’s been a huge issue for me. Not to mention I work at T-Mobile and we sell this product and I’d like to be able to say it’s reliable, I love the products let’s get the software running at the same pace. The alarm goes down to its own level every time you re-enter the app so there’s no reliability that it’s going to stay at the level that you set it to. Huge problem for me. Hope this is resolved soon.

Just Listen. This was a pretty long process, but trust me it works. Make sure your speaker is out to date, just getting started takes a while I KNOW! If you just double tap the connection button and wait long enough it will work. Once that's done make sure to do the same for the other, both speakers are updated there should be a thing at the bottom that that shows another speaker. Drag it up to the speaker showing and you are done, I really hope that this helps everyone. Remember to take your time, once it is ready enjoy

Remote Power Fixed. First off, I would like to say my previous review was a 3 due to the app being average quality, poor menu layouts, and remote power would only power off but not back on. But now with the new update, the first thing I noticed is I can immediately power up my speaker with my phone. I will not harp on how this should’ve been fixed a long time ago, but it is refreshing to see the company working on bugs and being able to access all the features to my superb speaker.

This Update Fixed Everything!!! 9/6/18. The best app makeover I’ve ever seen. I used to hate this app because the UI was frustrating. But I put up with it, and now with the latest update EVERY problem I had with the app has been solved. Used to have to press two buttons to get to EQ, which was annoying when in a hurry. Now just one, and you can swipe through all of the EQs in one direction. You can now power up the boom remotely, which I used to think would be nice. Plus it just looks better. GOOD JOB, TEAM!

Terrible software and charger. Constantly have issues with this speaker’s charger and software. For the charger the included wall wort is useless and should be thrown away promptly. It has some “smarts” to it that adjusts power consumption and charge rate. Ultimately it ends up not charging the speaker consistently. The software troubles don’t stop there though. It’s proprietary UA app always wants to take control of the device. It constantly drops a standard Bluetooth connection and yells at you about using a “feature” which is nothing you are even trying to do it just makes it up out of the blue on a whim. Sometimes 5x a song sometimes not that day. It is infuriating and makes me want to throw the speaker at a wall. The only redeeming quality is the sound quality. If I had not already spent 200 on it I would just use something else. Save your money and buy another device.
