Could be less buggy. This is a great app to use while on the diet but very frustrating because the latest update is so buggy. The water intake is prepopulated everyday and I have to clear it out. When changing the time and meals on the daily plan, you have to scroll to refresh of close and come back in. Sometimes you don’t even see the time scroll to be able to change the time on your meals. It’s got great potential, but needs to be stabilized.

Badly badly badly needs an update!!!. I use this to log in my water. That’s what is good for. The food list needs to be updated, the portion size are frequently incorrect. If you use 2 types of protein or fat, you can’t include thatZ only one choice allowed. No search button, inconvenient way to scroll to look for food. As a paid App, it should be taken care of. Wouldn’t recommend it at this point, so the owners will do smth about it

Love the App but wish it had a copy feature. The App was a life saver. I love the plan with the check boxes. I love that you can customize the food list to remove the foods I don’t eat. The grocery list is a great feature too. My only wish is if it could copy meals since I eat a lot of the same foods.

Not accurate and up to date. This app has such great potential, but it is not updated regularly with current FMD guidelines! That’s highly frustrating when can make planning so easy! I also don’t like that when you click on the meal map it takes you back to the first day if that week instead of the day you’re on. It would get 5 stars from me if it were kept current!

Helpful but could be better. This app is a great companion to the cookbook and makes it easy to track you day and stay organized on what to eat/ what you need to buy. I agree with some of the other reviews that it could use some updating. It definitely needs a weight loss graph or tracker of some kind to be able to see your progress. Also you should be able to add by meal to the grocery list as well as by day and then when you pull up your grocery list it should have a combined categorized list. For example instead of telling me I need 1 1/2 apples three different times it should just say 4 1/2 apples. The next thing that bothers me is there are meals on the app that are not in the cookbook so it would be nice if it would provide the recipe or a link to find it. The daily tips are great but I would like to see more information on why certain foods are only for certain phases even though it lines up with her plan. Brussel sprouts for example, why only phase 3 when veggies are unlimited all the time? Overall though the app is definitely a good tool to use and this diet so far is truly working. Shedding pounds quickly and I’m not hungry in the process or craving anything in particular!

Life Saver!!. I lost 65 pounds using this program, and this app made it SO easy! It is simple to use, and contains all the info you need, as well as makes it easy to keep track of the day’s food. I don’t need any more Bell’s and whistles - the simpler the better. I can open the app, enter what I’ve eaten (or check what I can eat), and it only takes seconds. I had given up on ever getting to my goal weight, but with this plan, I did and am never hungry!

Wonderful Support to my FMD Journey. I can’t imagine doing the Fast Metabolism Diet without this app! No more shuffling papers to see meal maps or check approved food lists to see what foods are phase appropriate. Being able to create and download the grocery lists is awesome! AND Portions are automatically figured for me based on my weight loss goals! It makes the diet even more easy peasy! ❤️❤️❤️

Best app I’ve ever used. This has saved my diet. It is great for planning and grocery shopping. Easy to navigate back and forth. Thank you Hayley for this great partner to the diet. 1 week down and feeling so much better!

NEEDS TO BE IPAD COMPATIBLE!. I love to use my ipad for everything and its not very convenient when the app stays small like I’m on my phone and doesn’t turn upright when I stand my ipad up. Other than that its ok, I prefer using the book still, just because of this. There are more options on the app than in the book, and you can just google for the recipes. Would be nice if the app included them.

Helpful BUT needs to stay updated. This app is very helpful to anybody following the FMD diet. However, esp because since it's a paid app, it needs to be updated and maintained. If you are following the 'free' FMD group on Facebook, there are numerous alerts of the inconveniences or inconsistencies on the app. Please update the app. For instance, when making a fruit smoothie, you should be able to pick two or more fruits in the fruit pull down, not just one-same for the other pull downs. There should be a more convenient way to set the time of your meals. The recipes should have active links. Where is a listing for the nut milks in Phase 3? I was only able to find coconut milk. Serving sizes should be noted when looking at the pull down, not after you log it.

Food lists seriously outdated!. I would give this 5 stars but for the fact that the food lists are way outdated compared to the book. The app is easy to use and would be very helpful if the lists were updated. I mean, that’s the whole reason behind the app, to save time looking all this stuff up in the book! UPDATE THE APP ALREADY!!!!!

Makes the plan easier to follow but needs updates. For me, this app definitely makes it easier to follow the plan, however it needs a few updates like adding the appropriate amount of fruits and vegetables to the shopping list. Today I tried to set my start date as January 9, 2017, and it refused to use that date. Tried several times to make it work and it would only use today as a start date. When I tried to access support through the app it says my iPhone can't send email...not sure why. When I tried to access support through the App Store, I was taken to a page that said the webpage was no longer available. Well, like I said, the app makes it easier to follow the plan so I'll keep using it in hopes it'll be updated in the near future.

This app is fabulous. It was extremely helpful to have this app while trying this diet and it really made a 30lb difference in my life. I definitely come back to this app once a year to maintain weight. Thanks

Unimpressed. This app is nothing different than the book. The food lists are not updated as they are updated for the FMD plan. The worst part of it all is that in this digital age, this app does not sync across devices, making it almost useless. Please please please add an update to allow this to sync across multiple devices. Without this function this app is just a waste of money.

Apple Health connectivity desirable. I think this app is seriously underrated I strongly recommend it as a fundamental part of the fast metabolism diet; it made the whole process of meal planning and shopping so easy that I am still using it two weeks after my 4-wk diet is over (to awesome results btw). As of possible improvements particularly in light of recent iOS changes, I would strongly encourage the developer to include read (particularly for weight) and write (for water and nutrition in general) to Apple Health app. Logging of water could be streamlined by adding iOS13 per-app shortcuts or by reading info from Apple Health. Regular water reminders instead of once a day would be helpful for the hydrophobes among us. I still think that the Meal Map tab should open automatically on today’s meal. Also the profile should include general food diets such as vegan or vegetarian, etc to automatically filter available foods in the list, which requires a slow item by item selection. Still overall a great app, don’t stop improving!

Couldn't do it with this App. This app is amazing. The one thing it does very well is auto calculate all of your portions. There are some phase specific foods that are missing that I like to use but thats nothing I can't manage on my own. Couldn't do this diet with out it

Helpful but...... Having recently started I opted to try the app rather than using paper to plan. It is very helpful in creating a plan for the day despite its relative simplicity. BUT as many have noted there are some simple fixes that are needed such as choosing your start date other than today which would make it far more user friendly. MOST IMPORTANTLY, in today's technology there is absolutely no reason it cannot be synched between a phone and iPad given one has to pay for it. Please fix this....

App opens on the last day - annoying. I have done FMD before and doing it again this month. Just annoying that I opens up on the last day - so I have to keep pressing the arrow back to manually return to the right day. It would be nice to have a calendar to just select the specific day/date to jump to.

Simply incomplete. The app asks you your current weight and your goal weight but does nothing with the information. Especially where needed most. If you need to lose more than 20 pounds the diet require you increase your protein by multiplying .5. However the app doesn’t account for this at all. The grocery list is also a joke. I usually choose the same meals to save money. However no matter how many times you input a food item. If it is a one serving recipe it will only add the ingredients for one serving to your grocery list. The pros: It’s pretty. Reminds you want to eat Reminds you when to eat but that’s where the benefits end.

Makes FMD easier, but I wish it was updated!. Nice helpful app, but I feel not all foods are included. It would be nice for some of Haley’s new recipes to be included. I just use it as a general marker for my meals- still nice to have!

Update it please. This app needs an (and should be forced to) update. This is a pretty strict way of eating and IF this app was updated, it would be awesome. I used this app years ago and it was helpful but so much has changed and there have been discoveries that things are not correct. For such a market that makes a lot of money from the followers, Haylie should make sure this happens.

This app is useless except for planning. My husband and I are doing this diet. We read the book. We downloaded the app to facilitate things. We’ve been very frustrated with it. Really, all it’s good for is meal planning, and that is absolutely it, and even if that’s all you’re using it for you’ll be frustrated. Pros: water tracker, planning times/foods for meals. Cons: 1) You’re not really “tracking” your food if you can’t enter everything that you eat, even if it’s something that’s not supposed to be there. There should be some way of entering foods that are either off-limits or out of phase. (Side note: I’m pretty sure you can email your data to the company so they can analyze what you’re eating…what good is that when you cannot truly track things?) 2) In that same vein, it doesn’t let you track your portions. That’s fine if you’re someone trying to lose 20 pounds or less (1 portion), but as she says in the book, if you’re trying to lose more than that, you will need to increase your portion sizes. Well…you can’t track portion sizes here. I have many more gripes with it but those are the biggest. I do think this is a good way of eating so far, so I give the diet a hesitant thumbs up (only in week one) but this app needs some work.

FMD lifesaver. Not a perfect app (many have already documented the frustrating issues) however it has been a lifesaver in keeping me on the FMD diet for nearly 2 months. If I had to drag the book and/or papers around all the time I would never have made it this far. It isn't perfect but it is a good tool for this great diet. If you are going to commit to the FMD lifestyle you will find the cost of this app (even with its glitches) is well worth it. Also check out the FB support groups.

So frustrating to use. I keep a night owl schedule which has me going to bed at 4 am and getting up a little after noon. My first meal would be 1 pm but the app doesn’t allow that. I shifted times earlier in order to plan, but the app uses my device’s clock time to show the meal it thinks I should be having instead of the one I’m actually at. So, at 1 pm when I would be having my first meal, it will only show the snack I’m supposed to have at 3 (noon start is latest it will allow for breakfast). I’d just like to enter meals by sequence without a set time. Doing the actual planning is also very frustrating. The app has little flexibility and is hard to use so I’ve decided to delete it and go back to my notecard and Excel strategy for meal planning.

Great App. I'm enjoying using this app injunction with the book. It makes planning meals for this diet so easy. You can make changes to the start date by editing your profile. Once you select your meals, you can choose to send to a grocery list. You can also email the grocery list to who ever is doing the shopping. The only complaint is that all of the meal recipes are not in the book. You have to get the cookbook to have all the recipes that it refers to. But if you've decided to make a lifestyle change then you may as well get the cookbook also. And it would be great to be able to add customized meals/recipes that are not included in the app or cookbook. Hope this helps to repair or stoke your metabolism!

App frustrates users to point of no return-how scientific is that?. I did the 28 day FMD & used the book & app. I took a 3-week break using the Cooling for FMD book. Kept at same weight. Love the science. Now I started the 14-day fast start to lose my final 5#, so I bought the big tubs of Ph1-2-3 Shakes. Turned to the app to track my 14-day journey. 1. It doesn’t let you add a shake for a meal, only to BUY product. 2. It doesn’t have the recipes listed in the 14-day fast start, so it was useless. I suggest a complete overhaul of the app (it’s obviously ancient) w integrated permission levels to reflect Member access, 28-day option, 14-day FS option, 7-day, Burn, Revolution, etc, etc. include recipes, tips, reminders, etc. As it is now, the app smacks of a dominant commercial focus, with little of “Hailey” present. This is not the sense I got from the book & website, and it’s shameful. Hailey, are you listening?

Dates mixed up. I just started using the app. Everything looks good and helpful and easy to follow. Just now sure it’s friendly when I wanna update or change dates for meal plans. Either I am doing it wrong or there is an error in the data.

I can't imagine doing the FMD without it!. Look-nothing is perfect and this app can definitely use improvements-can't we all? This app has kept me on track and is amazing. Don't go by the negative comments. They seems to have fixed some suggestions. You definitely need this app to help you plan!!!

Weight Entries. Overall the app is great and makes the plan a lot easier to follow. My main criticism is that you can only enter weight in whole numbers which is annoying when you are trying to lose less than 10 pounds.

JUST OKAY.... The App works well, but doesn’t sync between devices. So while you can download it to your phone and pad, etc. your data is only retained on the version that you used to enter it. The App also is not up to date (and it seems they have no plans to update it based on an email inquiry I made) to incorporate changes made to the plan by its founder. So annoying to use the App, but also have to use printouts from the website or Facebook page in order to apply the current plan data.

Makes losing weight simple. App is good. I know it's not part of her philosophy but it'd be nice if calories were included. I lost the bulk of my weight after about 2 months, then started exercising quite a bit more. . . I wanted to go on a cut and needed to know my calories. Ended up eventually using MyNetDiary to keep my calories under control. The science behind this diet is legit though. Really makes losing weight simple.

The best I’ve found!. I LOVE this app! I’ve used it just over a week and it works flawlessly! I am eating more than I ever have and am losing weight. I love this diet! I tried to do it myself without the app initially and just couldn’t commit myself. After getting the app, I feel I’m committed as I’m not hungry and miserable. Would definitely recommend!

Helpful, but need portions added. The iPad version is not user friendly, it needs to have easy viewing in Landscape as well. I use a keyboard so portrait only view is very inconvenient. It would be great to have this much larger wide viewing option, vs just the the smaller screen on my iPhone, as I use my iPad for everything. I believe any iPad user will much appreciate the landscape viewing option... Please update app? Thank you, I love this diet, and lost 15 lbs my first month. I fell off do to health reasons and life events for awhile...gain weight, and now looking forward to restarting again because, I had energy and felt great, plus the meals were very good. It makes you enjoy food in a different healthy way, plus it feels good to bypass all that junk food at the grocery store, shopping is more focused, and much easier. This hard part is managing my extended work hours with the diet plan to eat at appropriate times, and I’m usually up late.

New updated app is all about money. We have used this app successfully until recently. Tech support finally made it more useful by eliminating the need to uncheck previous meal plans and water intake when starting over so that there was no loss of the meal plan...consequently, we recommended it to everyone we met that was looking for help with their diet needs. It was great! However, this all disappeared with the latest updated version. Now, it’s all about the money...join their club, pay membership fees, purchase expensive products, etc. Guess what...now tech support ignores requests for help to clear previous checks and water consumption unless a full reset is done that eliminates all previous information including previous meals. In the past, we have purchased all books associated with the Fast Metabolism Diet and have been pleased. Now, it appears that Ms Pomroy’s organization is only concerned with selling products, books and memberships...the apparent concern for the consumer seems to have disappeared.

Meal map should default to the current day. Selections are too dark. This has always been a good eating plan for me, and I like that it has an app. That’s really helpful. However, the latest version of the app really needs some more updating. When I open the mail map I should be automatically taken to the current day. Because that’s what I most like to be checking. Also when going into select items, they are currently unreadable. At least on my iPhone, the print appears very dark and only pops out in a lighter color when you select it. It’s unrealistic to select every single item in a category just to see what it is while planning your meals. Please fix it.

App Issues. I like the diet and app, but two things. First, the app has been opening to yesterday rather than today, and it has been doing that since I restarted the diet. (I don’t know if this makes a difference, but I traveled across two time zones when starting this time). Second, the Phase 3 breakfast meal “B and B Toast” wrongly populates as having a protein (it doesn't) and leaves the fruit section empty despite the recipe including berries Other than these glitches, the app is always helpful to doing the diet

App is OK for the price. I’ve gone back to this diet multiple times but this is the first time I’ve used the app. I’ve completed 3 weeks of the diet using the app as a guide on my water intake, weight loss and an easy guide on what to eat on which days. I’d say for the price, the app is ok. I would like a way to be able to add my own recipes as I don’t always make the Fast Metabolism Diet Recipes that are options in the app. And I also agree with others that for fruit, I would like to be able to pick more than one type of fruit. I also would like to be able to add more weeks as I plan on using the app after the initial 4 weeks is up.

Not too impressed. So far not too impressed with the app. It needs the recipes from the cookbook so I don't have to put each individual ingredient for the garden meatballs. Also the jambalaya has 3 proteins yet you can only select one on P1. I put in to start on January 2, 2017, which is in 4 days and the app has today as December 29, 2017. This app needs some updating if you want people to use it regularly. Especially since we had to pay for the app.

Don’t waste your money. This app once purchased just seems to be a marketing option to buy the book. The food options are horrible and half of the options are very hard to find. Maybe if you frequently hunt your own food with all the wild game choices. 😑 I’m also not sure when lunch meat became a healthy option. And don’t get me started on the breakfast. Fish for breakfast? Also This is outdated. Egg whites are not healthy. Do your research. If you eat a balanced diet everyday then you do not need to eat 2 days carbs 2 days protein 2 days fat. That is ridiculous. I want my money back.

Needs an update. Been using the app for 18 months and it has made the FMD sooo much easier, but it’s time for an update. Foods have been added to the program, some quantities have changed and the app has remained static. The publisher needs to work with the author to get the app back to fully complimenting the program.

Good but not great. For $3 this app needs some simple but essential updates. It's helpful that is lists exactly the foods you can eat in each phase. But it could use: (1) a search button so you can type in the food you are looking for rather than having to scroll, (2) it should say in the food lists how much you are supposed to eat (1 cup fruits etc) rather than after you have completed the entry for each meal, (3) there is no chart showing your weight loss progress! Isn't that why we are doing this?! Again while this is a helpful app for the foods you're supposed to eat per phase and meal, there are some serious shortcomings, especially considering it's $3. It would help to take a look at some of the free apps - my plate and my fitness pal for instance - to make this app better. I hope the developers update this app soon.

Good app for FMD. If you are doing the Fast Metabolism Diet, this app is incredibly helpful. You can plan your meals and even generate a shopping list. You can quickly find what food are allowed in which phases. It does include quick pick of the recipes in the original book. I wish it also included recipes in her subsequent book and in the website, if only the most popular ones.

Love the app to track food. I followed the FMD about 3 years ago and lost 20 pounds and have kept it off. I’m starting again to see if I can get my A1C down and lose another 20 pounds.

Works well but. I really find this app useful but after I planned everything out using my iPad because I have the cookbooks on my iPad kindle. I could not sync to my iPhone so I had to take my iPad to the grocery or print or email the shopping list. Neither is an optimal choice. I also don't always carry my iPad so not getting reminders on my iPhone.

Useful but.... I use this app as a guide for the diet and it is helpful BUT the food lists are not complete and Pomroy is very careful to make sure you pay for any in depth features. So even though the food lists (most vital part of the diet) apparently can't be included in an update, ads for more books can now pop up. This diet works well for me but be aware that it is expensive overall. I think it is short-sighted on their part not to make the app more dynamic. If I an using it every day, why not use the app as a way to integrate the latest promotions and supplements? It is my understanding that the book publisher holds the reins for some of these issues. Overall, the app ends up being somewhat old fashioned looking.

Makes plan significantly easier to follow. Love this app. Much more convenient for me to electronically enter my food than it is to write everything out. I also love the water-consumption tracker. The meal map feature that lets me adjust my meal times easily when my plans change. Not perfect, but definitely worth it. It's a good companion to a great diet plan.

New to FMD on Week 2 Now. Please ignore negative reviews. I didn't download because of them. Once I did I regretted I hadn't already. This app makes the diet so much easier! Especially as a quick check for which foods during which phase. Before the app I needed the book with me all the time. I like the notification too. The app was huge for me! Don't hesitate. It's worth it!

This really works if you follow it to the letter. A friend of mine had lost weight quickly and told me about this app. I don’t know how it works, but it does. I was approaching 200 pounds, the first 4 days I lost 3 pounds. I kept with it, ended up losing 30 pounds. Note I did also increase my exercise, but not at a crazy amount to where I would’ve lost that much weight without following this program.

Terrible App. This is a money maker for the diet. The app is very poorly designed. For example if you adjust the timing of a meal or snack the following meals don’t automatically align. Plus you can’t copy days timing, you have to go into each one and adjust them. I have to get up at 5:30am and it has me eating dinner at 3pm. Also when you export to make a food list for grocery shopping the list come out on many pages(wasteful) and does not group fruits and veggies based on the recipes you pick. Buy this app if you are really desperate and can’t figure out the book, but my guess is you will quit using it after a month once you get the rhythm of the diet.

Very frustrating app. You can’t adjust the time on the app. The selector is just blank. I actually spent so long trying to figure out the app that I missed breakfast. The default is 7:30 wake up time but I get up at 5:30 and can’t adjust the time. If I try and just pretend it’s the right time and enter it anyway I get error msgs. What a waste of time.

Bugs. I agree that the app is inconsistent with the book. I am setting my meal plan up to be the same as the book but tHe app asks for items like a fruit to be added on certain that is not included in the books meal plan. I also was unable to add certain meals for phase 3 on the day I wanted. I added a phase specific recipe on the first day of the correct phase but it would not allow me to add it on the next day (leftovers) for the second day of the same phase. Small glitches in the meal planning all throughout which is annoying because in the book it speaks the the importance of sticking to the specific foods for the most effective response. If the phase does not call for fruit for 2 days but the app notifies that it is a required item this is again an inconsistency that needs to be fixed. It's a great idea especially the grocery list but there are a lot of bugs to be worked out yet and it doesn't look like there have been any recent updates to address the problems.

Handy as resource but limited. Updated: I like the general concept of this app and use it to cue my choices and prompts me on timing. However, it's a bit limited and has some quirks. For example, when adding food to your menu you can add only one fruit or meat per meal or snack. Often I have a variety and am frustrated that I can't record my true intake. You can add multiple vegetables, which I often do. Another limitation is that is assumes you are doing the diet as per the book, and not a modified phase version (as Pomroy suggests you can) or the maintenance "Phase 4". It would be great to be able to continue to use the app once you've "graduated" to maintaining a healthy weight. On the plus side, I like the lists, the ability to adjust your meal time based on when you get up that day (my schedule is erratic) and the integrated grocery list. The app is worth owning but it could be vastly improved with a few tweaks.

Amazing. I think this app is amazing it makes planning so much easier cant wait for it to be on other types of phones so others can enjoy the app as well it truly is amazing makes me keep track of my water in take.

Great resource!. If you are on the FMD you NEED this App! It takes the guess work out of what you need to eat each day and makes meal planning so easy! Great accompaniment to the book.

Recipes?. Where are the recipes? I bought the hard cover cookbook and many of the recipes are not an option in the meal choices for each phase. And some of the recipes in the choices section are not in the book. How do I make a proper selection when the book and app don't jive? Kind of disappointed. If this issue is fixed, I may change my rating.

Glitches. Great app, good companion to Haylie Pomeroy's book but the app still needs work. 1. Portion size is off for many items, especially for snacks and protein. We are hoping this is fixed soon! But if you are relying on the app for the diet, you may be disappointed 2. There's no way to record a menu item except by individual ingredient. So, if you are making one of the book's recipes, it can't be recorded in the app as such, unless you log it as unplanned. It would be great if there was a way to put ingredients into a function and record one serving of that item. 3. If you use both an iPad and an iPhone, the app doesn't share data. So using my iPad at home doesn't allow me to record or look up my plan on my iPhone when I'm out. A link by user when logged in would be great. Looking forward to improvements! Thanks

Ms. This Fast Metabolism Diet app makes dieting fun! Bugs from earlier versions have been fixed and new features have been added. Read the book, get this app too and start losing!

Great resource. If you on fmd this app is must

Incomplete!. I cannot find the water tracker. It is not at the bottom of the "My Day" as it states in the notes. The foods available to add in your daily meals is very incomplete. Foods listed in the book are not available to track in your daily food tracker. This app needs a lot of work. I just wasted $3.

Recipes needed. This is a good app, but will be a great app once the recipes from the book are added!

Great Companion app. Wish there were a couple more options, like a search bar for quickly finding an ingredient. Would love if there was an app for the recipes too that I could tap to quickly see how to make on my screen.

Not the best diet app. but it's the only one for the FMD program. Having the master food list on my phone is very usefull when I'm grocery shopping. The ability to plan my meals would be very helpful if it was more flexible. You can only select one fruit / grain / protien for each category. So if you are making chilli, there is no way of entering it in to the app properly, because you can't customize the foods . You are limited to the foods on the master list. This means that your meal map won't make any sense when you look back on them, unless you know that white beans, ground turkey, and zucchini is Turkey Chili. Not to mention that the grocery list is incomplete because not all the ingredients are included.

Missing a lot of utilities. Missing: - ability to add meals from the recipe book, the blog or save our own recipes for easy data entry - Copying meals from one week to the next could also be an easy tool - Importing meals from the menu planner into the menu diary with one easy function would make this app easier to work with - ability to enter decimals in weight. The difference between 10.9 and 10.1 could be relevant to some - helps keep track - easier access to change wake up time, I gave up entering the correct time for my breakfast as I may wake up at 5:30 some days and 9:00 on others. When I have early breakfasts it tells me I can’t enter a me before wake up time, and I still have to figure how to enter wake up times for the week. - Ability to enter workouts and workout notes - Functioning ability to export diet data with preferred email service or iCloud/Google cloud transfer - currently is telling me my phone is not setup to sent email which is BS cause I LIVE on email. - When one HAS the book and the cookbook, in paper copy - ability to import food maps and recipes from them.

DO NOT BUY - Incomplete lists. App is useless. The food lists are incomplete. Can't search the food list. Just terrible app.

Love This App!. Very helpful and easy to use. Still needs some tweaking (like being able to choose both a protein and a fat in phase III) but well worth having if you're following the fast metabolism diet. I'm especially impressed by the support that's available. Questions emailed through the feedback section are always answered. Same for Haylie's blog. All in all, you want this app!

Used to be good. This app used to be good but has not been updated (visually and information) since it was developed. Long overdue for a more modern look and feel with color schemes that are readable. Some parts of the app are illegible due to the poor choice in background colors and corresponding fonts.

Inconsistent with the book. The fat quantites are very off - if I key in a recipe from the book - egg and toast with tomato and red onion - all options match the portion size in the recipe but the 1/4 tsp olive oil becomes 3 tbs. If I choose fats - olives - the recommended serving is 1/4 cup approx 5 gram of fat If I choose olive oil the recommendation is 3 TBS about 45 grams of fat - over 900 times as much While the book recommends a high qty of fat this is beyond reasonable or safe given this is for one meal and does not include the fat inherent in eggs or other proteins. If I made this choice for 3 meals - my fat for this one category would be recommened at over 9 tbs - more than 1/2 cup of fat. The snacks also have fat plus the protein choices have fat. I one just follows the book the fat in the sample day plans is substantially less. In fact most recipes in phase 3 have less than a tbs of fat. The food lists are in poor order with peppers under Yellow peppers, Green Peppers, Italian Peppers or Red peppers but nothing under Peppers which is what most people would look for. With no search option it is more difficult than necessary to find items. Also according to the book portion sizes should be increased by 1/2 portion for each 20 lbs being released. If I have 60 lbs to release this actually is calculated as if I have 40 lbs to lose. And according to the book i should have a serviing of 12 oz of fish double the 20 lbs to lose amount of 6 oz. The book gives specific instructions to add 1/2 serving size for every 20 lbs. It is very inconsistent. The concepts in the book

Food List glitch. In the food list there are a number of tabs (animal protein, grains, fruits, etc) There is one tab entitled "All" so you should see the total list. However, it just goes to "animal protein". It worked once when aI first got the app and I thought it was working with the latest update - but I see that it has reverted to the glitch. I even re-installed today but no help. I hate when apps are put out without proper testing. The book is just as bad.

I really like this app.. This app really helps with meal planning, portion sizes, and timing of meals.

Easy to follow!!. This app made following the Fast metabolism Diet very easy. With the ability to pick and choose your food and determine how much of what to eat, it was a breeze. Perfect pairing of the two!!

Best diet app I've used. I've tried a couple different diet apps and this one is by far the best. It simplifies the book and makes planning meals easy!

Simple app but it works!. I’m writing this review as it is the 10 year anniversary of the Fast Metabolism Diet book. I preordered the first edition and did a few rounds of the diet the past 10 years. I want to say that the diet works and this App, although not perfect, is a great tool at your fingertips. I put on Covid-Menopause weight and although I have not re-read the book entirely, I’ve been on this diet non-stop for the past 7.5 months just following the app prompts, and have lost 40+ lbs so far. I praise this diet to anyone who wants to hear how I did it. The app does need an update, but it works nonetheless.

Updates please. I love this app and use it everyday but do get frustrated that it has not been updated to reflect the latest changes and corrections. I think more people would buy if it was accurate. 😀😀

Adjustable Phase Days?. Great addition to the Book/Manual! Would love to see App editable to change Phases so that those of us following a P1@2Days, P2@3Days, & P3@2Days able to change Phases to more easily plan our menus thoroughly. Any Chance?

A Few Glitches. I find that the quantities are off on the app. According to the book if a serving size was 2 ozs then the app was showing 6 ozs. Some serving sizes don't even show up on the app particularly for some meat. But the other stuff and reminders are very useful!

VC Ont.. I found the app totally inadequate. The information is inconsistent with the book; the food choices are limited; no access to the meal recipes; and tracking my own recipes was almost impossible. I deleted the app. after three days - waste of money - I want a refund.

Great help!. I was hesitant to buy the app since there is no reviews. But I'm really glad I did! If you follow this "diet" and you have the books is a great organization tool! Saves you lots of time planning meals and keeping you on track! So I'm really happy I have it! Definitely get it!

An absolute MUST have!. I'm not a diet guy and would have never thought I could make this 4 week commitment. But this will be a breeze because of this app! All the info I need at the tip of my fingers. Not having to carry the book with me everywhere I go, wondering what I can eat and when. Updating my water count and it tells me when I'm supposed to eat are big features for me.

Good but needs work!. This is a great tool to help you plan out meals especially on the fly, when you don't have the book handy. I work nights though and the meal map timing, the way it is set up, is super frustrating! It is always changing the times on me because it doesn't understand my 3pm wake up time and when there is a time error it just won't let you move on! Very annoying but the grocery list and food list sections are godsends when it comes to planning!

Not Veggie Friendly. The app does not allow you to indicate you are vegetarian and includes no vegetarian meal suggestions. it is possible to turn off the meats but you have to do each individually and there are a lot. Also, the diet itself will have you eating nothing but egg whites for two days a week due to limited veggie protein sources in "phase II".

I can't believe how easy this is.. I've tried a billion diets. I can't lose weight. On a whim I decided to try this app and this diet. I've been on it a week now. I've lost 6 lbs. I go to bed every night feeling full and wake up every day having lost weight. The app makes this diet so easy. It tells me when and what to eat. It reminds me to drink water. The food selection is tremendous. I'll update this review as I go along but... I'm hopeful that this might actually be the cure for my years and years of weight loss struggles.

Needs to have maintenance option. I loved having easy access to my meal plans during FMD. Now that I am in maintenance I would love to have the option to continue using it.

Helpful. I don't like that you can't split fruits/fats/proteins or add any optional proteins on phase 1. It could use an update. *** I edited a part of my review that was inaccurate.***

Adding meals. I like the app, but one thing that frustrates me is that when you are mapping out your meals, I wish there was a field to type in your meal for when you want to use a recipe other than what’s in her cookbook.

Good but could be better. First, the good: The app definitely makes following the FMD easier. I found the book and the way it's laid out to be very confusing. The app helps. That being said, it could use some improvement. If it was a free app I would have no complaints. Having spent $ for it on top of buying the book, I expected a little more. For example: I find it very frustrating that weight can only be documented in whole lb increments, particularly as I seem to be losing .5 at a time. It's frustrating to have a success and not be able to record it. Also, reminders are OK to a point, but I have an issue with it telling me my day is over and scolding me for not drinking enough water, when my day is decidedly not over. That needs to be removed from the app in my opinion. Again, frustrating to have worked hard to stay on plan all day and have your momentum cut short. I know it's a mind thing, but staying motivated and focused is crucial for success.

With the book this is a good plan. I got the app first and felt a little lost, so I went to my library and checked out the book. That is the key to making this program work. You will eat a lot of food and you will be thinking about meals most of the waking time. But maybe that's what starts building healthy habits. I have been on the program almost 2weeks and my clothes feel better, and I feel really strong! I'm crushing my yoga program! I like to run 5k's and after my last run I felt I needed to drop weight to be faster. I have not yet gone back to running as I am working on building muscle and strength. But I'm interested to see how much better I'll do. You will have to work a little at the program but now I'm getting to the part where I just remind myself of what Phase I'm in and start mapping out my meals/snacks for the day. You may find that you don't want to start phase 1 on Monday. Mine is actually on Thursday. I do not feel deprived and I've kicked my sugar addiction. Try it. Work with it. But definitely get the book. Lots of good info.

Lots of room for improvement. The app is helpful, especially at first, but it soon becomes apparent that it is very limited. First of all, there is only an iPhone version, not one specifically made for iPad. I can live with that by downloading the iPhone app onto my iPad. HOWEVER, I quickly found out that these do not sync. Whatever I've done on my iPad, like scheduling my weeks worth of meals, does not appear on my iPhone! I like to have the information on both, when I'm out, shopping or in a restaurant, I use my phone, if I'm home wanting to cook, I prefer my iPad. This is really a major flaw! Another missing feature is the ability to link to other FMD products. For example, selecting a meal from the book should allow me to link to the recipe in the book I've already purchased in Kindle., it should also allow me to create a shopping list of ingredients I need, either for the week or by phase or by any metric I choose. I expect a lot more from apps I have to pay for, this one is very disappointing ....it should at the very least, be free.....

Love it - needs updates. Very convenient to stay on phase. Would love to see the newer recipes added (loaded egg white muffins ...). Can you also add the FMD products/noodles etc?

Powerful but some major functionality missing. I love how much easier this app makes it to follow the plan. That being said, there are a few things that would significantly improve my opinion of the app: 1. The ability to add your own recipes or to save a meal as a group or give a name to a meal. Then you don’t have to add the individual components every stinking time. That gets old quickly. 2. The ability to copy meals from one day or week to another.

Update. Needs to be updated

Need help!. I can no longer set times on the meal plan. Adding a snack or trying to change wake up time does not work and without that you can not accurately plan or track your days.

App issues. The app will not close once open. The only way to close it is to turn the phone off

Wrong info in the app. App has wrong information compared to the book. Many mistakes that don’t really help to follow the plan properly. So the claim that it supports the diet is false.

The Burn. On the back cover of The Burn it says there is an app -> I imagine it’s intended to match up with any of the I-Burn, D-Burn, or H-Burn ??? hello?

Shame. 2 years last update. Take a minute from selling your books and upgrade your app... it needs it.... desperately

Needs an overhaul. Helpful, but for $3, it could be updated to show the correct master food list, portion sizes, and recipe list (instead of just ingredients). Also, copy a day’s list onto another day would be a helpful option.

Update needed. Please update food lists. A few glitches in time setting and meals not showing up

G-d help you if you need to add a snack. No way to set the time properly

Love this app!. This app keeps me on track with planning and staying on course!

Could use some updating.. I like the app for logging food. You can only set your weight in whole numbers and you can not track your weight loss as you lose. No area for your measurements. No area for your notes.

Amazing App. Love this app!! It only allows you to pick the correct foods for the phase you are on and it allows you to build a grocery list!! Wonderfully designed.

Details. You can't mark when you completed a meal or a day successfully (we all need positive reinforcement). You can't mark when you blow it (humans are not perfect). Some Meals are not in the book. You can't use it on your iPhone and iPad at the same time. I LOVE, Love the eating plan- it really works. The APP though is a waste of money- sad face.

A must have....a needed app to follow diet. This app makes following the diet plan very easy...fill in the times and menus and automatically u r creating a grocery list... I love it!!

Glitchy and outdated. The calendar gave me two days or phase one and pop up to buy supplements. Not a good start. What a shame, I was really excited to use it. The plan is the healthiest I’ve seen, ever. It’s not easy and a solid tool would make the FMD much more comprehensive. This definitely hurts the brand.

Great app BUT. I like this app a lot but it lacks an important feature- the amounts. I don’t want to constantly have to refer back to the book (especially difficult if I’m not home) to know how many ounces of protein or how much fat I should be eating. Please add these.

Too Frustrating!. You can't add foods and you can't even use most of her recipes! Totally frustrated

I lost 13 pounds easily with App. This app is for the person who needs to know what to eat and when to eat it. I did t use the recipes or the shakes. I didn't exercise other than 2 hours of yoga a week which I had done for 7 years. I ate out most of the time and simply used the app to show me which foods to eat. As long as you pack your AM and PM snacks and eat the 3 meals a day plus drink 60-70 oz water daily, it's easy. Panera bread has the sprouted grain rolls and you can find frozen sprouted grain bread at Whole Foods. They are the only breads I used. Stay away from starch, fried foods, pasta and cheese and it's easy cause the app guides you on what to eat. I ate more food on this diet in a day the. I ever ate. It's truly about the metabolism. It took me 6 weeks to lose 10 pounds, then the 3 came off and I now just do my own thing with including snacks and watch what I eat and in 8 weeks I have maintained the loss. It's like my Metabolism is fixed now.

Many errors. This app is outdated and contains many errors causing confusion it should be taken off not offered or corrected makes me question the program

Terrible update. With the new update, new annoying bugs were introduced. I can’t see the time wheel to choose the time of day. I can feel it spin when I touch where it’s supposed to be, but I have to pick time by trial and error. When I update a meal or activity it doesn’t show up until I go out of that day and then back in. Need new update!!

Everything I Ever Wanted. I’ve wanted an app that functions like this FOREVER. Map out the whole week, each meal brings up only foods that are compliant with the phase you’re in so it makes it SO EASY. There’s literally nothing you have to remember. Just plan out the whole week, hit the “add items to shopping list” and OMG it gives you a LIST with every single thing on it that you’ll need for the week INCLUDING how much of each item you’ll need. So if I log that I’m going to eat chicken breast for 5 meals during the week, it’ll say 30 ounces chicken breast on the list. It’s kind of amazing. Then it just tells you what to eat each day, what’s next, and if you’re planning your meals too far apart or close together. Seriously, it’s the best app I’ve ever, ever had. I never even heard of the diet prior to the app. I found the app, then found the diet, then decided to do the diet just because I loved the app. I’m only on day 4 but I am so loving this. It feels SO EASY.

Basic functions don’t work. I cannot even change times... I can hear the wheel scrolling on the bottom of the screen to change the time but the screen is blank! So bad that this app isn’t maintained. I used this several years ago and it worked great.. now not so good.

Stinks for vegans. Like the idea of the app, but wish the options were more exhaustive for vegans and the updated recipes

Love it BUT. I printed out the papers and have been following paper/notebook and found the app and was very excited. BUT I'm learning either the paper is wrong or the app is wrong. Broccoli not an option on phase 3? Can't input beans? What's up?

App needs an update. Love this app as it’s easy to log and keep up with the Fast Metabolism journey! But it seems very outdated and needs a re-vamp.

Recipe. Hello I can’t find all the recipe in the list on the app so I can log it in

Needs Updating!. Semi-helpful but would be great to see recipes or at least add ingredients to the shopping cart.

Don’t buy! Doesn’t work well!. Good thing I have all the books because this app does not work well. Gives you the wrong choices for the meal selections! So frustrating!

Needs update. The app needs updated especially with snacks on p3 where we should be able to add protein.

Should be more customizable. This app is good for someone on the diet. However, I think it should customize the serving sizes depending on what a person weighs. A 200lb person needs a different amount of calories than a 130 lb person. It should recalculate serving sizes

Shopping list needs work. This is a pretty good app - the ability to track your food, activity, and water us really helpful! And having the grocery list is a great idea. I was so excited about that part, but it needs work. The grocery list is CRUCIAL to making a diet workable in real life, and this one needs a few tweaks to make it useful. Right now, the list generated by the app is organized first by food category for items you choose without a recipe, and below that, all the ingredients you need for each recipe you choose. Listed by recipe! I don't know any grocery stores that are arranged that way. So I still have to go through this list and consolidate it by hand into a useful shopping list. And therefore, can't just shop with my list on my phone. It would just take a few tweaks to the program to have the app consolidate and sort the shopping list for us. Also, when you fill in your meal plan by the day, based on the meal map from the book/website, there are inconsistencies. The app saying I need a fruit at a time when the book doesn't, etc. With these things fixed, the app would be perfect!

Not what it thought. The app isn’t as helpful as I thought it would be. In the app description states there are meals ideas but there are NO recipies!!! I think they try to trick everyone just to get the app.

Hope it works. This is NOT a simple plan to follow. You're always changing phases and you give up a lot. In other words there are a lot of "No's" and "Do not's". I gave up caffeine ( not allowed to have decaf either), sugar, wheat, soy, dairy, corn and alcohol. The "Do's", well there are a lot of them too. My alarm seemed to be going off all the time telling me what to eat. Even if you're not hungry you must eat. I'm always on the run, I drive a route for my living, and I found it difficult to say the least to keep up "on time." In the book it sounds easy, if you wake at this time then you eat at these times. Simple, right? Not really. I handle blood and tissue specimens, and I can't whip out fruit and vegetables or home made beef jerky while in handling these specimens. I made my own beef jerky, bought organic, cooked in advance and used the recipes from the book and I still only lost 2 pounds. I feel like its just too complicated for me. It's quit work or try another diet. So, hello South beach. I'm going to give that a try. Good luck to everyone doing this program. I wish you much success.

My Normal is not App’s Normal. I thought I had a sleep disorder. Until I realized it is “my normal” to be wide awake at 1 am. The App refused to allow my first meal input with 30 minutes of waking at 1.00am. Oh, well I will track the FMD using pen and paper.

Needs updates. App hasn’t been updated in over a year.

Master Fool List Update, Please!!. The app is great, except when you need to look at the list to see what's allowed in each phase. An app isn't much help if you have to access a list from another place!

Love the app and the book (audio in my case). It gives great variation of foods to choose from for all meals throughout my day.

Awesome!. I love this app as it's encouraging and supportive. Instead of focusing on what I can't have, it provides many options for great-tasting meals and snacks. And I'm finally hitting my water goals with the reminders. Thanks!

Be careful when choosing meals from book. I've been using this app for over 2 1/2 years, and know the program inside and out. I have emailed errors to the app people, which are dismissed as not an error. After contacting the FMD group, one error was corrected in the 2.9.1 update. I will try to remedy a serious issue here by posting a review. There is still an issue with recipe choices, especially in Phase 3. It shows all recipes for that Phase, regardless of the foods that should be eaten at a particular meal. For example, no grains are allowed at lunch, yet you can choose a recipe (meals from book) that contains grain. If I weren't that savvy with the program, it would have been easy to eat the wrong thing. Also, no fruit at Phase 1 dinner, yet you can choose a recipe with fruit. This is a serious problem! Please fix to only show appropriate meals/recipes for a particular meal or snack!!!! Otherwise, an invaluable help to following the program. Would like a setting to allow phase changes when following a 10 day cleanse or 7 day intensive. Or adjusting phases to allow for Thanksgiving etc to fall on Phase 3.

No update in 2 years?. Is the app no longer being supported by or affiliated with Haley Pomeroy?

Needs an upgrade. This App is not updated for years.

Jumps to Wrong Date. So far, the app is good, but everytime I open it, it jumps to day 28, when I haven’t even started day one yet. It would be great if it opened to the current date.
