New improved app. They have really came a long way and fixed the bugs in the app. They listened to the complaints and improved the bugs in the app and added better features! Its truly an amazing app now.

Kode Initial Review. This browser app works just as imagined. All data that is saved is stored within the app UI itself. Yet when data transfer is wanted/needed, there seems to be missing an easier way than saving each photo/ video individually. There must be an update where data transfer of multiple selected photos/videos is possible. Individually selecting data is tedious and frustrating.

Video Sound Issue. I’ve only used this app for a couple days, and besides the constant pestering to get premium, it’s not bad except for one issue. Whenever I watch a video and pause it, the audio would keep going and to get it back to normal I would have to exit the video and fast forward back to where I was. The only thing keeping it at 2 stars is the video vault, I love it, otherwise it’s pretty subpar to most.

Video controls are BROKEN!. This was a great app until a recent update that totally broke proper functionality of video controls. Fast-forwarding or dragging on the timeline used to be easy and straightforward. Those controls now compete for a brightness and volume overlay that NO ONE NEEDS and it makes it nearly impossible to control video playback correctly. There are buttons that are supposed to advance or rewind content by 10 seconds but they rarely work because focus always goes to those useless brightness and volume sliders. Had I not already put so much video in the vault when this app worked, I would’ve uninstalled it by now. Hoping the developer fixes this major mission-critical issue very soon.

It works great! But just a couple tips. Hi, I love this app but the video controls sometimes break, but if you are someone with/wants this app you can just swipe away than enter back into the video and it should save your progress as long as you don’t take to long. Also to the developers, this app is amazing and has really helped with my job, thank you

Pretty good. I mostly like the new interface, the old one was a bit touchy, which I didn’t like, so thank you. However, I don’t like that fact that now my downloaded video don’t have their names on them. Which the old interface did do, if the developers of this app can please have that feature back that would be great.

I take it back.... At first I didn’t like the update. I started experiencing problems with the downloading feature. But now I can download with no problem and tbh I think the new interface is so much easier and better to use. I want y’all to fix some things, like the small glitches that happen every time my phone is locked and I’m downloading a video or when I start a download. Overall it’s not that bad. I’m just thankful for the people behind the development of this app. Keep it up. 💯

Needs work!. The video player flat out is the worst. It works but you have almost no control over it. Hard to pause or skip ahead because a brightness and volume control pop up. Why ? That’s the last thing it needs you have those controls on devices. What you don’t have on device is FFW REV and slow motion. Everything I have used other than the player is pretty good/great. Shameful such a good app has not a decent video player ☹️

Great app. One of a kind.. Only app I have found yet that download my videos without hassle. I would recommend this app to anybody who has an eye device and is having trouble downloading videos. I haven’t donated yet but I plan on as soon as I am able to. Thanks again developers very clear

Latest update completely crashes.. Great app until last update. Now app won't open- crashes every time. iOS 10.3.3 on IPad Pro. Provides very smooth play of videos in full screen mode. Web browser function allows playing videos without downloading to discover if one wants to download the video. Downloads happen fast, the thumbnail display is great. Ability to put vids in folders provides for ease of organization. App is able to export vids so they can be used by other programs.

Lost my premium.. I bought Premium for Secure Browser a year ago. Ever since the transition to Kode it’s been bugging me by telling me to log in and today it kicked me off and is telling me to buy premium again. This never counted as a subscription when I bought it. Did this change? Update: They are working on fixing it but have not yet, I still get constant adds from the browser not just the sites I visit. I have no access to he Touch ID (unless that has been removed.

Developers are not honest. The promise of removing adds and forced advertising after purchasing product is a lie. Most adds are removed but the adds for this developer remain. NOT COOL and is dishonest business practice. Additionally, I am being forced to review their VPN service. I AM NOT INTERESTED as I already have my own VPN service but I cannot clear the warning message. Again, NOT COOL and is a dishonest business practice. Last and most important is that the developer has taken a drink of Google’s kool-aid. What I mean is that I am unable to select a different browser. I am forced to use GOOGLE. I have to wonder how much money Google is paying you to FORCE DIRECT your customers. It really does matter how good your product is, and I am not sure based on the reviews, you have lost my trust. Your deception is simply NOT COOL and is an extremely dishonest business practice. Anyone reading this review should reconsider purchasing.

Continually Re-Downloading Videos. Bug - Randomly, it has videos re-downloading that have already been downloaded at least once, if not 2-3 times. No idea what causes it to happen, but it’s extremely annoying when all the videos are 2-5GB. And it’s not all of the videos, just a random few. Today there were 15 videos that are 40-50 gigs in total. Very irritating. I always watch them once they finish to verify they work, so not sure why the app randomly thinks the files aren’t there or need to be re-downloaded. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Update. My iPhone recently updated to the newest version on October 9th and now none of my videos can be cast to my tv or chromecast. It was working perfectly before the new version. The icon that usually shows to push to cast it s gone. Please help

Subscription self-terminated. Won't display any webpage, just gives a blank page with an ad banner at the bottom to upgrade to Premium, but then it gives a message indicating the AppleID account will be charged for the upgrade and hangs indefinitely. There is a link to Restore previous purchase, which gives a message that the subscription expired on a few days ago, which is when the problem started. I don't know why the subscription ended, it was on an auto renew basis for a while. But since it will not renew, the app is useless. BTW, I'm still on iOS 14.x so it's not an iOS 15 issue… I suspect this is an abandoned or hijacked app. If true, user beware of data theft or surveillance!

removed sound and screen light control from screen. Last update is annoying. I used to lower and increase screen light and sound from the screen by swiping down and up while watching a downloaded video It was way easier than using the button and pull the side utilities to lower and increase the light and sound. Please put that feature back

ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT PLAY MEDIA FILES. It started with my previous iPad. Videos played but imported videos only played upon import. Restart app, only black screen, tried every file type and package, play fine with any other app on iPad, even from files location. Apple replaced my iPad (when .I dropped it), after restoring and importing the very same videos previously installed I get playable upon import but after restart or even minimizing the app, I get a black screen with no scrubbing timeline. Nothing happens, the files are there, even the preview icons show, they just won’t play! Marcg 2022 review!

No reply from support. This app was ok for awhile if you can tolerate the annoying ads you get every time you open the app and new tabs. It unfortunately does not save passwords even though it prompts you every time if you wish to save password, it never actually does. Asking you to save passwords can also become annoying given regardless if you respond yes or no it will prompt you every time. Most recently Kode has disabled the ability to copy / paste text from a website. If you enjoy typing txt that could easily be copied and pasted maybe you won’t mind. I have sent support requests to address these two issues but they never replied. There are other free apps without ads work better

Stored data is gone after each iOS update. Every iOS update install will result in this app losing all downloaded pics and video. What good is an app called "Downloader" if it does store what you download. Would much prefer all content go straight to iOS photo album then stored within the app. Mayby that might fix the issues. Several times messages appear from the developer saying that they are working on it. No fixes have come yet though. I'm being patient. PLEASE FIX

Having audio playback issues when video download is completed.. Overall it’s a great app, I think its just been with some recent update, I’ve started having trouble with audio not outputting through my speaker or headphones when I finish downloading files. Maybe if this gets fixed, I’ll re-write this review. Anyways that’s my only issue as of now.

This application has Two main problems.. 1- we cannot transfer downloaded files like videos and musics directly to pc or labtop through computer iTunes unlike some other browsers like ahola that can do this. 2- there is no way to export bookmarks from this browser to some where else ,some other browser like safari or even sync with icloud or like one drive or something like this. I mean there is no possibilty to do a sort of backup from our bookmarks created in this browser.

Slow download. The download are slow and sometimes broken. The download would stop mid way. Unfinished sometimes restart by itself. Everytime it gets close to finishing, it restarts and stuck in a loop until it fails. Edit: Update, I was having trouble completing downloads until I “clear data”. So if you have trouble downloading I recommend doing that. It fixed my issue and now I can download again. The problem tho I shouldn’t have to do that. The app needs to fix that bug.

I love this app but…... Kode is a very good app. I love all the space to download files. Occasionally a file will disappear, no big deal. I should have paid for the no advertising, but I didn’t. Now an advertiser called Safariaid has hijacked the app. Completely useless. I hope to eventually get back into the app, but if I can’t then I recommend the premium version of Video Saver.

Update has broke app. The new update that was released a little over a week ago has made this app nearly unusable on my IPad. I normally do not write reviews but his new update has really made things frustrating considering that I have paid for the premium version of the app. I can no longer have more than one tab open at a time and the app freezes constantly which makes me force-close the app. I would give this app 4-5 stars if it weren’t for this most recent update. I really hope it gets fixed sometime here in the near future.

Doesn’t work well with IOS 15. I have not been able to get the browser to browse at all since IOS15. I still have access to the files, but there are still some issues with the files section not related to IOS 15. Cannot select files based on a search. The search function and select function works fine, but I need to for specific names, and the move the results to a folder, and you cannot do that, have to do it on file at a time.

It’s good enough. I would appreciate if there was an obvious way to download music though. Original review: I haven’t had any of the issues others have been having, (for the few that were downloading entire movies, check your available storage as that could probably be the issue) The longest video to download I would recommend is 30-40 minutes max. Though it has slowed down for me slightly, I’m able to have multiple tabs. Though I don’t use multiple tabs that often.

GREAT... but Needs Tweaking. This app is way better than the previous one I used. I can download videos from almost any website of any duration! However, some of the videos I download are not of the best quality. Either the visuality or audio are sub-par no matter how long or short the video is. While this isn’t a huge issue, it should maybe get looked into. Other than that, this app is amazing!

Video fast fwd,rewind and playback gets messed up. I’ve had this app for quite awhile now. It’s a good app but the bugs in it annoy me and just continue to happen. Written customer service three times and have never heard back. When playing video, the fast fwd, rewind and pause just stop working. You have to swipe to the next or previous video and then swipe back to the original video and then they work. It is soooooo annoying. This latest update at the end of July 2020 started 2 more issues. When you close a window, it automatically pulls up the previous window instead of giving you the option of what window you want watch next or if you even want to I wish they would address these issues because I’m a paying customer who is thinking about canceling my membership because I’m about done with this app. I’m tired of being annoyed

Front Page Just Disappeared!. Was enjoying Kode for the last few months. It was my backup browser. Now, this morning, the front page disappeared replaced by an ad for Kode along the bottom edge of the page. Confusing and disappointing. Now (Nov 5th) I have the same problem. On opening Kode this evening, I have a blank home screen with a Kode ad running along the bottom. I can't tell any way to get past this and go on to the real homepage. Frustrating. I'm beginning to think I shouldn't use Kode, though I do like it when it is running properly. I don't know what to do.

Getting worse. Used to be great, but now every time I try to open it it takes longer to ask me for my pin or use the Face ID. At the moment, it’s been 5 minutes since I clicked on the app and it’s not asking for that info. Seems that the update to ios15 might have affected it. Edit: So now the Face ID is working and I can go in, still takes a bit of time. Now the issue is when I try to DL stuff I gave there, it freezes. Major suckitud. Looks like it’s trash now.

5 stars. The app is great if you don’t mind ads if you donate your money to them yes the ads will go away you just have to go to your settings and turn off adds but other then that everything I use the app for mostly adult entertainment and I love it.

Can’t open app. I would a 4 or a 4.5 stars , but this browser won’t let me download from my favorite sites anymore like they used to. Then today while I tried to open the app a phone number kept flashing over and over again asking me if I want to call that 1800 number.

Works great. First off I would like to say, no I am not a robot or paid by Kode to say this lol. I’ve been using this app for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it! I did spring for the premium version and let me tell you it’s worth every penny. The browsing is great, very user friendly, and what puts it over the top is the ability to save vids and pics directly from a site or app. Highly highly recommend Kode 👍🏻

Bring back the old downloaded layout version!. I do not like this update because the it’s the sam as the old downloaded layout it was was much better on the old downloaded layout version. The videos I downloaded looked much better on the old downloaded layout version... bring the old downloaded layout back!

Close all tab. I find it so annoying that the close all tab button is on the right and not the left. So many times have I accidentally deleted all my tabs because I absentmindedly thinking it was Safari or any other browser, pressed in the area where it would bring me back to the tab I was currently on. Other than that small, very annoying thing, I’ve had no other real issue with Kode. But seriously though, WHY IS THE GET RID OF ALL YOUR TABS BUTTON ON THE RIGHT! It doesn’t even ask, “Are you sure?” Its just puts a gun to all your tabs’ heads and pulls the trigger without a word.

Poor transition. I currently reside in an area that doesn’t have great internet speed, but I didn’t think another app would make it even more frustrating. Ever since the switch from “Private Browser” to this app, I can barely get a video to load. And if I wanted to play the video in full screen, I might as well take an hour nap in hopes of the video loading. Coupled with already slow internet, the browsing is cripplingly slow and not worth the “privacy” it ensures.

Crab76. The app is decent. I keep having issues with the player not working. Not sure what that is about. I did purchase the no ads. It seems to work ok. But yeah I would recommend this app to anyone wanting an app to download and play media on an iPhone.

New update is better. I do like the new update to the app. I did have it downloaded previously and had not used it for some time. After updating it I like how the new interface is easier to navigate. However I’d like to be able to have my phone locked when I’m away and be able to continue with my download. Also would look forward in the future to the possibility of being able to have whatever downloaded available across devices. Other than that I d say the app is great and has provided a great experience with little issues. I’d recommend to friends.

Was great, now crashes - Update. Using this App on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s with the last version of iOS 10. It works fine on the iPhone, but it crashes almost immediately on the iPad. It crashes before I can use the PIN Pad or Touch ID. All of my downloads are lost unless this fixed. I will update this review if it is fixed. I just installed the latest update. The App works great again. I think the App delivers on what it promises. I am happy with it.

Suggestions. - Import page can be merged with files page in the form of an import button - Be able to close all tabs including the only tab - Be able to turn off “ding” sound when a video is done downloading. Still sings when notification sounds turned off - Fake key-code that opens up an empty app

Aggravating, disappointing problem. I did not want to purchase anything but accidentally clicking ad blocker cuz i thought it was free, did not ask for confirmation, yet charged my bank account with no money in it, causing me to become negative, to this day I’m over $100 over-drafted because this dumb system with no protection for human error. I’m still being charger overdraft fees because of this. I demand you refund my money that you took without my confirmation, so I’m not in a financial hole forced to lose my house and car

Meh. It seems to work ok. It’s just slower than molasses and gets my device like really hot. They asked me to give 5 stars as it already gave itself 4 when it popped up on my screen during use. Ok Kode, I’ll bite and give ya 5. Lets see if it puts me in good standing with them to where hopefully they can show ME some love by updating soon and get whatever bugs out pronto! Until then I think I can occupy myself with this for a few....

Honest. This app is awesome it’s very private and anonymous and lives up to its expectations I’m very impressed the only thing is the freemium other than that I can’t let it go without a five star if there wasn’t so much ads it would be a 6 star In my book

Great but something broke with last update. Love the app, but since the last update it’s not working properly. For some reason when I import a photo or video from my photos, they disappear next time I use the app? Other than that great app!

Forced to Update Made App Unuseable. I have been using this app for a year now and never had any problems, however the latest update (12 Dec) seems to have made a pop up in the app that won’t let you use it unless you update it. But I can’t update it because the update requires an IOS update too which I don’t want and will never get. Please remove that update pop up and let me use and access my files again, let us dismiss that update pop up.

UPDATE CHANGES DOWNLOADS. Since the latest update sent out today, This update makes it so your downloads are constantly paused until you pause and unpause them over and over until they are done downloading! (Update) It turns out this is only true if you have the downloads section OPEN. When it is exited, it will download in the background, you just cant see it progress as it downlods anymore. Still Very Annoying! Please fix this!

It’s working to some degrees only.... I kind of like the concept but it’s full of crap to annoy user and make it very nonproductive. Overall it’s very counterintuitive. Function keys are not available all the time. I have to close it and reopen it a few times sometimes just to find the function keys popping back up again. I understand that the maker has to make money with the ad. But it renders the app not usable at the least.

App keeps crashing!. I have loved the Kode app up until today were my app won’t even open! I have upgraded my Kode and everything and would hate to lose all my data Just installed the latest update that was put out and I’m still experiencing the same problems as before! Very frustrating and disheartening coming from an app I had grown to love, hopefully you all can rectify the situation seeing as I subscribed to the add free version and won’t be able to get any use out of it smh

Help, Help Help. You recently updated the App and now it does not work. The page that shows all the files is locked one look, by Date reversed. No other look is available or clickable. It looks like it could be really great but you cannot show in any other look but Date in reverse. No more size, or by name. It’s almost unusable. Please fix this. I have an IPad Pro, the newest one.

What websites can this app download from. Im having some difficulty figuring out what this app can download from websites wise. I understand that some websites may be age restricted but I’ll like to know what I can and can’t use. Thanks

Crashing. Was fine and great before the most recent update. Haven't been able to open app without it crashing before I can even type my passcode in. Please fix crashing!

Good app. If I can export it or share a video I downloaded, that would be even better.

Dowbloaded videos losing playback. Sometimes days after returning to a video I download, I’ll see that it requires to be downloaded again! Of course if these were time sensitive, it means downloading something doesn’t guarantee you have it. Really infuriating.

Cannot long press and copy links. Come on guys. I long press and do not get an option to copy a link. Just an open or open in new tab option. Rudimentary feature missing. Also trying to just copy text by long tap of double tap is clunky.

Little problem. Good app but I am holding the video down for 3 seconds and it is not showing up “ download videos to fill app “ it only show “ copy pictures “ and “ upgrade “ please correct this.

Storage Issue. Every time I view a downloaded file, a random extra file is created called asset_, this is really annoying and a waste of space as I have roughly 4000 junk files, other than that good app

Bug issues. It keeps freezing, won’t let me in. I do my fingerprint and password but it just freezes. Please fix.

App is connected to streaming. Why it’s keep saying that app is connected to streaming?

Completely busted with latest version. Freezes ALL iPhone functions and keeps showing a phone number to call. Appears to be hacked

Great little app. Really good app, only issue I have is I’ve found sometimes after a video has downloaded it keeps wanted to refresh, so if I have no internet connection the video doesn’t save. I just download them and now save them to my phone.

New view is disappointing. New design is a downgrade, do not update. Please bring back the old view for downloads or at least have an option to switch form the new vertical to old grid view. The rest of the redesign is good.

Volume/brightness slider. You really have to get rid pf that Volume/brightness slider, it makes it really difficult to watch and skip through videos. Ruins the app.

Forgot pin. I forgot my pin and face ID doesnt come up. Can you help me pleaseee.

Lost pics. Hi changed phones only up date to newer iPhone backed up phone lost all my photos they are there but they are all blank can you help ??

Buggy tab switching and no file management. The tab switching is super clunky in this app, i avoid having to use tabs as much as possible because of this. I should be able to press close on the last remaining tab and have it automatically open up a new blank window like every other browser, rather than opening another window, and then closing the other. Sometimes I’ll get stuck in one tab and no matter which one I click it just goes back to the same one, meaning I have to restart the app. I like that files are sorted at least by date but I’d like to see a file management option so I can create folders and sort things. The imports page is a waste of time in my opinion, I’ve never used it. If I want to see what files I download I’ll use the gallery page. I only click downloads to clear the list. Maybe replace the imports tab with a file manager so I can create folders and sort files, and keep the gallery page with images sorted by date, that would be my best suggestion

Seriously?!. The new update got rid of all my tabs and downloads! I’m really unhappy with this, when you updated it you should have made sure peoples tabs and downloads were kept.

Whhhyyy. Why do pornhub and redtube bring to the App Store when I try to download vids from them?

Get Photo Vault. I got this, I’m pretty sure it used to be called secure browser, it’s terrible, too many freaking ads, crashes a lot. GET PHOTO VAULT, spend $8 and get real premium, I use it a lot, great for syncing sending and storing photos, PHOTO VAULT IS BETTER!!!

Best App Ever!. Can’t live without it! I use it daily

Downloaded files gone???. I left the phone on overnight with files being downloaded in progress, next day morning all downloads failed, but that fine the internet wasn’t stable, but why even the previously downloaded files were moved to the downloading tab and show as failed too?? Also when viewing downloaded videos, if you double tab the side of the image to fast forward, the image will be gone completely with sound remains playing. Such a waste of time and money.

Too many ads. I like this app because it can stream to TV by HDMI but but be careful with scam ads.

Doesn’t work.. Bought the app and when I open it, nothing, frozen, can’t click, change anything. Doesn’t download a thing. I’ll be requesting a refund. Not happy considering I paid $7.99 for it !!!!!!

Don’t bother. Absolutely useless, after only 5 uses it expects me to purchase premium ($25+ a month) just to open pages

Old app. Update your old app so that I can at least move files to this new app....

It’s okay but needs improvement. This app was okay till they changed it to Kode, it’s changed all the files names to 6829jjdiai788 randomness, can we please have a way to back up the files? As I have almost 80gbs of files on there. I need to backup and delete it but have my files in tact. I can’t move it out of my iPhone

Big Red Blocking Banner. This app was great, but the latest version has this big annoying banner that takes up half the screen and won’t go away unless you scroll just right. From what I’ve found, it can’t be turned off

What happened?. A video downloader that no longer downloads? Well, that’s useless.

Great app!. Downloading videos was much easier than I expected, there’s sometimes an option where you can also select a specific resolution as well. I’d recommend this application for those who would love to keep videos downloaded in a file that can be accessed anytime even offline!

Stopped downloading sound. Loved this app....suddenly when downloading video it does not bring in the sound...bit useless now 😖

About premium. I have payed the in-app up grade premium to get rid of all these adverts. It’s shows has been changed but seems didn’t do anything, and even I try to restore the premium from the app, it will just stuck on the refresh circle scream not moving. It’s a good app, can I I get someone to help me out?

No more downloads??. I have used this app for years, and now there seems to be no way to download videos. I do exactly as instructed hold my finger on the video and the two download options are now gone. Shame. Now uninstalled.

Broken after restore!. Was a great app until I backed up my phone, got a new one and the restored it on to my new one. All my files are still there but they are just plain white and do not play, could someone tell me how to fix this issue please.

Full of junk. Littered with annoying, intrusive advertisements. I don’t minds ads, especially for free apps, but when they literally pop up every few seconds interrupting my browsing, forget it. There are other, better video downloading browsers out there.

Background app refresh not working. Wont continue to download in background like previous version did, instead it restarts download every time i open the app.. please fix this.. ipad Otherwise i like the app.. does what it says it will..

Great, but.... Photos imported from camera roll are no longer appearing. Whenever I click on the picture to look at it, no matter what it is, it shows up as nothing, no image. Only downloaded photos from the web browser show properly, all other imported photos don’t show up when you click on them to view in full screen. Why?

The New Version Doesn't play video. Whenever I try to play a video in the new version and after 3 seconds of playing it crashes

Doesn’t download videos properly. It takes the full Download MB but when you play the video it’s at zero… like you can’t even play it (totally not worth it)

Hangs In between. I have been using it for many months but nowadays ads come up more and it stucks you on some ads and won’t allow u do anything. Not that great.

Can’t download videos. Just shut down downloading so i can’t download videos anymore and watch offline fix this and all give 5 stars

Downloads videos in lower quality only, sucks!. I tried emailing your company but no one replied when I asked why videos were only downloading in much lower quality than what I had selected. Even when I select 720p or even 480p the video quality saved is so much worse. Doesn’t make sense since I paid for this app & it’s giving me the option to choose a higher quality but still the videos look so grainy & very low quality. Fix this problem.

Go back to the older version. Full screen doesn’t work and would replay the video while the current video is already playing. The new UI and update is terrible. I wish they didn’t change everything seriously.

Can’t play what i downloaded:\. The files just won’t play, it’d be downloading then crashes. If it actually completes the file, it won’t play properly and the video itself remains “scratchy” or skipping. It’s a unfortunate in every meaning of the word

Kode. After using Kode for well over a year all of a sudden I’m getting a wide banner covering half of the screen making it unusable.

Good app but needs improvement. This app works great for storing videos and pictures but fails to properly import gifs from photos. I tried downloading and importing gifs from Kode, Safari, and Chrome but it doesn’t make a difference. They all download fine into photos but fail to show up as a gif once imported. Please fix this.

Update screwed my saved videos. Videos that I downloaded can’t even be watched anymore. Can’t even export them for some reason. App was great before I had to update
