Good Working on Being Great. I Love your App!!! There are many positives. I use your app to view what my next shot from direction and distance should be. There are times when issues arise as to where and how far (carry) should be. I count on my measurements of carry and direction. As long as I know I can access your info quickly and accurately for my next shot I am a Happy player. I believe in Ready Golf and want to ensure timely play. “At times” your App is slow to inaccurate what I can count on for my next shot as I try to calculate what it should be. Between your App and Me getting better at utiIzing your App I’m sure we will concur using the Best Golf Play App ever developed for the Average Golfer.

Jenk. I have had the app for a year not using it until about a month ago and I wasn’t impressed at first because the little 9 hole course I play at most of the time was not accurate at all. One hole wasn’t there, tee boxes wrong, holes going to putting greens, and I almost dropped it. I seen the support tab and I sent a request to update the course. They replied quickly and asked me to send a screenshot of the course and mark the greens and tees. I did and I went overboard and gave them 3 different tees, lines from tee to green, and an updated scorecard. I left and drove 15 minutes to the course and it was already updated!!!! I am very impressed with Golfshot App!! It is perfect now, yardages, flags, greens, blue, white, and red tees. I love this app and will definitely be renewing my subscription soon when it expires. By far the best golf App ever!!!!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE GOLFSHOT APP!!!!!! 👍🏻👌🏻

Please Allow Swing ID on Range. This app would be most useful on the range where you can review the detailed information from apple sensors. On the course you don’t have time to review after each shot and then you can’t do anything useful with the information other than review after the game but its not worth the current $60 ish dollars per year without swing Id for use on a range to practice.. also, there needs to just be one golfshot app not plus and monthly yearly options. Make one app with a subscription and you guys are set. I would gladly pay $120 for a lifetime app but thats not the best idea for the company to advance and improve the app over time. Please guys make me change this to 5 stars! You are so close to gold.. right now its like middle bottom of the pack.. I’ve been holding back from getting a dewhiz and garmin and calling it set for the next 5 years or more

A few more short game metrics, and it's perfect. I have had the app for years, and it is the best out there. My only gripe is I wish they had a few more features that I feel aren't too hard to implement and it would be an EASY 5 stars: - Length of Putts This one is HUGE. I think the app should ask you after you enter the number of putts what length they were. There is a massive difference between 29 putts per round when your average distance was 12' versus 29 putts when your average distance was 50' -Proximity to pin By implementing the above, they could also display a stat for aggregating proximity to the flag -Chipping Number of chips per hole, as well as a metric to show you how many chips you average when you chip -Recovery shots (after tee shot) Logging this stat would definitely help paint a picture of errant tee shots that weren't penalties -"Improve your game" Section Using the new stats above and culminating all the stats into something tangible that tell you where your weaknesses are. Would be able to use to delegate practice time. -Editing scores is a bit clunky If you enter a wrong metric or score for a hole, the app takes you to the next hole. You then have to hit the back button, re-select the hole you want to edit, click score, then re-edit. It would be nice if it was a little easier. The app is great, a few more of these and it will be perfect!

Old Eyes. Golf Shot has one glaring shortcoming for those of us who need reading glasses to read small print. When looking at my Apple Watch, I cannot tell for sure if it has indexed to the correct hole. The current hole data at the top of the screen is in low contrast blue on a black field and something approaching 6 point type. Could you have your GUI staff improve that bit, please? I do not like pulling out my glasses just to see if the watch knows where it is supposed to be. I want to focus on my game, not on managing my watch during a round. Otherwise, I find the app on the watch and the phone to be very effective and I love reviewing the flyover data when it happens to record it correctly.

Great app but one major limitation. This app (free version) is great. I started using this a few years back and has evolved since. It pretty much has everything you’d want in a free golf scorecard + gps app. It records various stats, gps to the hole, easy to use user interface, etc. However, I find myself using another app (like 18birdies) because of one missing feature...being able to get distances to anywhere on the map. In other free golf apps, you can select any place on the golf course and get distances to it. I understand it is a part of the paid version but not the free version. I feel like it should be since almost all the other apps have this feature. It just stinks that all the history I have on this app is wasted since I’m now using another app. Oh well.

Awesome App. I love this app and use it every time I play. What I love is how easy it is to use and then reviewing my round and comparing stats to my overall vs last 20 or last 5 scores. This makes it easier to see if I’m improving in an area or what I need to work on. I’ve gotten so used to using it I can enter my score and hole stats between holes without losing any time. I usually use a Garmin gps, but in the rare event it doesn’t work I can readily rely on golfshot to give me the distances I need. Thanks for being so awesome!

Loving it. I’ve used this app for almost 10 years. I love everything it has to offer. Yardages are very accurate. Especially for a mid to high handicap where loft isn’t such a big issue. My only downfall would be the ability to transfer my round hole by hole with stats direct to the U.S.A. Ghin app rather than a total score as my course requires me to keep that active for match play. Would love to see the AR function a little more automated. Maybe the track shot function could be an option auto function. All in all it’s a great tool. Not much need for a range finder.

New to Golf Apps. I played golf much more in my 20’s and 30’s and now I’m getting back into it in my early 50’s. It’s crazy the technology that’s involved in golf now. I downloaded a few apps and this is the one I kept. It takes a few rounds to figure stuff out and to get familiar with the phone and the watch, not to mention buying a iPhone holder that I can attach to the cart as well as my carry bag so I can track shots and distances more efficiently. (Also bringing my external battery pack.) I wanted a free app and this was great as a free app with the scorecards, tracking, hole flyovers, etc, but I am going to buy the yearly subscription even though I’ll have to see if I use the extra stuff. I feel it’s the least I can do for getting something that has helped me and my game so much. Thanks Golfshot.

It is a great app.. I have been using this app for a few years now. The more I use it the more I realize what I can do with it. You can track your club distances with the GPS to see what you are averaging on each club. Now if the reception is weak it might interfere but I have not had this problem. It will suggest clubs for the course from you past input. I originally got the app just to keep my scores. It does that and more. When you load your golfers for a round of golf remember to scroll down to start. Some have complained about this, but due to the reporting process for a handicap it’s necessary. I like the app.

Went downhill. Used the app for over 10 years since it first came out and paid for it. It’s been great until recently when they start adding features nobody asked and introducing bugs. The recent update fixed the Apple Watch gps mode to “use Watch gps” regardless of the settings, seriously draining Watch battery. I’ve reported this bug and basically I was told to prove it. Huh? Folks, THAT is very bad sign. I’ve never had to contact support until few months ago and now after several interactions with them the last few weeks, that’s what I was told. As for these new features, I don’t have a clue who’s asking for these features that tracks distances automatically, but it DOES not work and annoyingly, they added a feature to even measure putting distances, which requires you to go up to the flag and press button to set the distance. That should be prohibited, because it SLOWS DOWN the game and we are having enough issues with slow play already. But my suggestion was totally neglected of course. Seriously disgusted, I’ve looked elsewhere and realized there are better alternatives out there now. I suggest you do the same.

One problem. This app is amazing. I only have one problem. Please get the swing ID to work on Driving Range, please. It is so annoying to have to pay for a full round of golf to see the swing ID. And if anybody has not used the swing ID yet it is a game changer. This app is worth $100 a year simply for the swing ID as long as it works in Driving Range , or in your backyard at your house just someplace other than being on the actual physical golf course. Can you please give some type of update of when the swing ID will work at a Driving Driving or away from a Golf Course. But this app is truly amazing. There is not any app that’s even close to this not Arco’s, not 18Birdies. Nothing there’s no app that compares to what this app does. I remember this app when it just gave you three yardages back in middle. So the developers and owners of this app you have something amazing with swinging ID can you please get it to work at a Driving Range before the end of this year please please please please please please please. #SwingID

Faulty Algorithm in Auto Shot Tracking. UPDATE - Reply to the developer’s response: Turn off the “Auto Advance” feature is not the right solution. Please confirm that you will forward my suggestion on the correct programming algorithm to your development team. It’s a simple programming change, and it will fix the bug once and for all….. I recently paid for Golfshot Pro due to its new auto shot tracking capability. I played about 9 rounds so far using auto shot tracking. It worked generally fine with random missed shots. However, the app has an algorithm deficiency that should be corrected, as detailed below: In a situation that after I took a tee shot and Golfshot detected the shot and started tracking… if, on my way to the green, I go near or pass by a tee box area of another hole, Golfshot would abandon the ongoing shot tracking, and reset my play to the hole I was only passing by. Even when I manually reset the app to continue playing the hole I was still working on, the tracked shots and distance data are lost and unrecoverable! The correct algorithm should be: The incomplete tracking data should have been retained in the buffer, instead of being thrashed immediately, in a situation that the player was merely passing by another hole’s tee box. Golfshot should resume tracking the last shot as soon as it detected that the player was still working towards the unfinished green.

Great app, aside from it forgetting scores. I’ve had the Golfshot app for years and it has easily been my favorite golf GPS app. The flyovers, AR feature, club recommendations, and overall ease of use have always made the app great. However, one major issue that has been plaguing this app for a while now is a glitch with the scorecard where it will randomly forget scores that you inputted during your round. I’ve reported this issue multiple times and still no luck and this issue was present over multiple updates as well as multiple versions of iPhones. As a result, I have to use a paper scorecard in addition to the app because every single round the app will forget scores inputted on at least a couple holes.

Best golf app. UPDATE March 2018 - thank you shotzoom for the Apple Watch update - you have resolved the only major complaint I had about the app. (When you previously updated to use the native watch gps, it took so long for gps to get an accurate reading that the app was practically unusable for me on the watch.). The new update enables real time accurate readings on the watch with no lag. Amazing - well done - best golf app out there. ORIGINAL POST - Dec 2016 - I've tried and compared all the major golf gps / scoring apps on the market - GolfShot is the winner in my book. Apple Watch version has great interface, very usable. Occasionally I pull the iPhone out of my pocket for a satellite view of more complex situations, but generally the watch version is all I need to reference for distances and entering score and stats after each hole. I have just recently added the official handicap tracking feature and there's no easier way to keep your official handicap rating current. Just one feature on my wish list - the app needs to take advantage of the built in gps of the new version of Apple Watch so that you can leave the iPhone in the golf cart and still get an accurate read. They say they are working on this - hope they can get it released soon. UPDATE July 2017 - that one feature on my wish list has just been added in the latest release. Can't wait to test it this weekend.

Unhappy Pro Member. Good afternoon, I downloaded your app several weeks ago to use while playing golf. I had pre loaded all information regarding my bag, shot distances, etc. and was excited to use your product during my next round. Unfortunately when I arrived to play, your app all but stopped working. I had no functionality on the course. I could not use the dynamic map, I couldn’t advance holes, and I couldn’t even track my score. Everything was either buffering/loading up until your pro membership screen when it told me to my surprise that I had purchased your premium service. This did not help matters and I was still unable to use the app. I was able to download 18Birdies on the second tee box and able to use their FREE service for the rest of the round. I am willing to give your app another go, however, I need to be refunded for the premium service that was neither wanted nor provided.

5 stars after 50+ rounds. For years I‘ve been looking for a Watch&iPhone combination to get rid of my Garmin watch. In GolfShot I finally found a full replacement with great usability and playability. What is essential to me: - auto distance tracking after each shot (…know where to look for the ball in case you don‘t find it) - global database of courses - quick distance readings (greenside) on the watch - quick detailed layout info and layup planning on the iphone - legibility: past the age of 45 our vision starts to get worse. Too many apps on the watch display information in unnecessarily super-small fonts. Not so GolfShot: easy to read with dedicated screens and intuitive to operate. - battery usage allows comfortable to get through a full round without battery-loss anxiety In all these categories, GolfShot is really excellent and I will never go back to a $500+ dedicated Golfwatch. For that same amount I can get through 10 years with GolfShot on the annual plan.

Swing Detection Not Working. I’ve used Golfshot Pro for some time now. Unfortunately, since upgrading to the Apple Watch 9 the Swing Detection feature does not work reliably. The only way I can get it to work is to delete the app from my iPhone and reinstall it. The app will work for that round of golf. The next day, without making any changes to the phone or watch, the swing detection will not work. So far, customer support has not been able to find a solution. I am beginning to investigate other options, which is very unfortunate as the app has some excellent features. However, being able to track my shots is one reason I upgraded to the Pro version. Very disappointed.

Best app for watch and phone. After trying all of the other apps out there, Golfshot is the best app for both watch and phone hands down. The best part about the watch app is that it shows you a map of the hole so that you know if it’s a dog left or right. Also, I don’t use the auto distance tracker for my distances since I may use different clubs to get creative, but rather, I use it to manually set my club distances so that I have club yardages right on my wrist. It really makes it quick to help decide what club I should go with.

love. I love this app dearly. Few things; What is the difference if any between Golfshot and Golfshot Plus?? I can’t figure it out for the life of me and don’t know which one to use so I just use the original Secondly, the editing of auto tracked shots needs some work. Extremely tedious to edit on the phone while playing (because how am I supposed to remember shots after the round? I barely remember to edit the club on my watch) In any case can you PLEASE make the shot track editing reversed? Who wants to scroll through 14 holes of shots already hit to get to the 15th hole to edit a shot while you’re playing?? No one. Is there an easier way to pick clubs to log the shots?? I don’t want to be distracted while golfing I want to play but is there a better way to track shots? I can’t tell you how many times my watch auto logs my shot as a 3 hybrid instead of a 5 wood and similar type situations…

Great Apple Watch features but scorecard needs work. I love this app and use the premium for distances to hazards and the flyover when playing new courses. After using many golf gps apps this one won me over with its Apple Watch interface. Over time the app has learned how far I typically hit my driver and now shows me how far out my shot will likely end up off the t box. My only complaint is the scorecard feature. I really like it for scoring and emailing to myself and playing partners after the round BUT I find I am often missing some scores. If you wait to record scores on your way to or at the next t box (as you should), the app will sometimes jump ahead and record your score on the wrong hole, or miss some of the scores you thought you had recorded. I would prefer to manually advance the app to the next hole to prevent that from happening.

Best I have used so far. Got back into golf after year's and I have tried a lot of apps to track scores and figure out the distances on my clubs. This app has the auto tracking which makes my interaction with the app even more seamless. What I really like this apo is it shows your swing and breaks it down into different categories like tempo and backswing distance, if you went shallow or steep over the top and if you went outside in or inside out. The only issue I have for this app that would have given it 5 stars and more is it doesn't have a practice mode for the range so you can't use all those shot tracking features to work on your swing. If it did that it would absolutely be the best app hands down. I saw rumor that they might be working on this and that would be awesome if they were.

Watch Screen. Like the app and how it works with my Apple Watch Ultra 2, but I don’t see any benefit from having a tiny graphic of the hole taking up most of the watch face. If I need to see the layout of the hole I will pick up my iPhone. I think that this graphic should be removed- or give me the option to remove it - and make the other information larger and easier to see - in particular the distance that the golfer is from the spot where the last shot was taken. Knowing how far you are after hitting a ball is often helpful to find it particularly if you have missed the fairway. Also, today when I walked to the pin to set the pin location the message was that the pin location had already been set today. Not by me! I doubt any earlier golfer had as only three players were on the course before me. But even if they were, and did set the pin location, and somehow the app added that I for to my iPhone and watch, I’m not sure tha t would be helpful. I will almost always walk to the pin and take a look at my putt while looking back at the ball.

Best Support Team I’ve Ever Dealt With. First of all, if you’re looking to reviews to see if the app is worth it on the course to the average weekend golfer I say HECK YES. You can never have too much information about the course and GolfShot provides it in an incredibly user friendly manner whereas other apps I’ve used have been overwhelming to look at and frankly, just not appealing when it comes to navigating the menus and settings. Now for the big bonus to choosing GolfShot over any other GPS/round scoring app…I build my own clubs and typically go the budget route so I wasn’t surprised to see my iron heads missing from the equipment list and really wasn’t bothered by it but I decided to reach out to the support team with the info on my set and they SWIFTLY had them in the system. I’m talking within hours I received a genuine, helpful response. That’s never been the case for me with any support team and I’ve just gotta give credit where credit is due. This app is top tier compared to its competitors and the premium version is worth every penny, even for the average weekend golfer like myself. I still find more features on a regular basis! They really are in touch with the community and listen when we take the time to put in our two cents. Love to see it. Thanks, GolfShot! Keep changing the game for the better!

Nice features, but a HUGE battery drain. There’s a nice track shot feature to allow GPS tracking of distance and accuracy for each club. You’re able to see the stats for each club which is nice. However, it’s a pain to enter in the club info at the ball. It would make more sense to enter that info as soon as the button track is hit, prior to going to the ball. I’m already thinking ahead of the next shot by the time I’m at the ball. There’s also a “fitness” tracking feature which is nice. However, having the GPS on all the time drains my battery extremely fast. I can’t make it through an entire 18 holes with the app on. For the developers, perhaps the app can have GPS on situationally, ie ONLY to locate nearby facilities and when the you select “at ball” in the track feature.

Description wrong. I am being told by support auto advance for this app only works with Apple Watch. Yet, occasionally, it does work on the course. If I knew it wouldn’t work consistently, I never would have purchased. None of their literature states you need an Apple Watch for auto advance. Now, Kaitlin, from their customer support, doesn’t think I need an Apple Watch for it to work. How can the same person not even know what needs to be done and is just throwing out guesses. Support, I have been in contact with your horrible support and all they could offer was free videos, which a neither want nor need. When I asked for a refund, I was told I needed to contact Apple, while Apple tells me I have to contact the developer. You lie about what the app does and then refuse to refund money when it gets called out. The latest from support is that I don’t need an Apple Watch and it should work on all devices, and I should be happy it works some of the time. Would Golfshot be happy if I paid them just part of their fee?

Terrible Support. The basic version of this app is good, interfacing with Apple Watch and the Apple Health app, GPS, etc.; however, when I upgraded to Pro in order to use Shot Tracker, the trouble began. Shot Tracker worked very well and is very cool, but after playing a few rounds, I noticed that the App was stopping and starting a new workout with every hole. Consequently, I would have 18 separate workouts rather than the one workout for the round. I have tried on 4 separate occasions over the last 10 days or so to contact them via their “contact us” form (which says they’ll get right back to you) on their website. The only thing I’ve received back is an auto reply email. I contacted my CC company today to dispute the charge which they fortunately did with no problem. The representative at Elan also said she has a number on file for them and suggested I try to call them, which I did as soon as I hung up. To no surprise, the number is not a working number so I am glad that Elan is processing my refund. My recommendation is use the free version of the app because if you upgrade and need support, it is non existent.

App Support came through. Been using this app since 2011. I never had any problems but all of a sudden I had so many problems I didn’t know what to do and nobody was helping me. So I wrote a really rough review. Then I got a reply and it seems that they had me registered as a man instead of a woman when it posted to GHIN. As a tournament player it was important that my handicap index was accurate. But they came through and figured out what was going on and fixed it. They also corrected all my scores. Hopefully it won’t happen again because this is my favorite app. I could use the GHIN app instead but it doesn’t show previews of courses which is essential when you’re playing a course you don’t know…where to hit or what kind of shot to make. I’m so happy they came through and I can tell you there’s not a better app out there. Thank you. That’s what I call support!

The best all around golf app. I have been using this app for several years and love it. It is accurate and the integration with Apple Watch is great. The developers keep adding new features. The pro version is worth the $$ for the instructional videos, the hole flyovers, virtual reality, ability to post scores to GHIN, easy to keep score on your watch as well as analyze your swing. Customer service and support is also great. They respond quickly and resolve any issues in a day or two. 5 Stars with distinction!

Free version does everything I need. Has gps and a good scoring system. you have ability to enter putts, total stokes, sand shots and penalties, as well as club used to tee off and fairway hit/missed (you select the direction it missed). These are all scrollable and it makes selecting easy. Takes a couple seconds and can be done in between holes. It auto calculates if you made the green in regulation (and percentage overall) and the percentage of fairways hit. Each time Yuu play a round, it remembers how you’ve done on that hole before. You can book tee times and do some other things but I mainly use it for rounds.

Great App, initial shot tracking feedback. Update: Like most people, I just started using this new feature without reading in detailed documentation first :-). I have now read through it and understand there was some things I wasn’t quite following properly. Will give it another go on a round of golf and report back.. I’ve been using this app for several years and it’s got many features and it’s a great app. Today I played with the new shot tracking feature and unless I’m doing something incorrectly, it was too cumbersome to use for my liking. More specifically, every time I took a practice swing, and the club touches the ground (which it almost always does), it would register a shot. So I had to keep pressing my Apple Watch face and click cancel shot, in between that shot and my real shot, and after several times it was becoming a distraction to my game so I turned it off. If I’m doing something wrong please let me know, i’d be happy to give it another go and would really like to reap the benefits of this!

Awesome app paired with Apple Ultra 2. I have been a Garmin customer since the S60, then S62 and finally the Epix gen 2. I even had the CT10 club sensors. I became frustrated with the performance of a few items - CT10 club sensors as their batteries or the connection inside failed in just weeks in some cases. - The shot estimation had wildly out of range shots which gave garbage recommendations… For example it claimed I hit my putter 450 yards! Garmin’s answer was for me to find the round with the bad data and delete that data… But no help in actually solving the problem. So I got an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and then added Golfshot. I have now played two rounds and I’m enjoying the experience. After playing 18 holes today the watch still has 66%, which means I could easily play 2 rounds in a day and have plenty of battery for the rest of the day. Bravo! I have more to learn with Golfshot as I was deep into using Garmin for 5+ years, but they have a new and very happy customer. I do with swing ID would work at the driving range, this could be a very valuable tool. Hopefully they will add that in the future. It would be awesome if I could have my phone nearby and get real-time feedback on my swing. It would be like Golftec on our wrist!

This will save you so many strokes. I am certain there are many reviews out there for this app, many probably made by better far golfers than me, but here is two more cents from yet another hacker. The advantages this app will give you seem almost unfair and I cannot even calculate how many strokes it has saved me per round. Knowing the distance from tee to green is one thing, but knowing the distance to that lake, that hazard or that bend in the fairway has definitely helped me make better decisions and has offered a more structured approach to the game. If you’re tempted to replace your driver or get that new hot putter-forget it, the five more yards you might get over your old driver for a few hundred more bucks cannot supplement the value this app has to offer toward enhancing your course management skills.

Love it but let’s make it better - Update 10/22. I love using golf shot. I have the pro version and love putting my phone down and not picking it up the entire round. Scoring, distances, shot tracking and swing ID, from my watch. They are all great. Now, let’s make it better. Let me use swing ID in my garage hitting into a net or on the driving range. The stats are great, but let me look up my stats by golf course. I know the data is already there. When I start a round and the screen to pick my starting hole comes up, it has my stats for each hole right there. Now just let me pick the course from a list when I’m at home and let me review my stats on each hole, lifetime, last 20 and last 5. I know you can do it. Stop holding out on me. The latest update messed up auto shot tracking. Just played a round and it picked up less than 20% of my swings. It used to pick up all of them, including slower practice swings. Now I had to track them manually using my phone. Not cool.

Effortless tracking with apple watch. Good overall. Gave it a 5 stars but could be 6 stars and more. Tried alot of golf tracking apps, as well as the “club markers” app and they never fully seemed to be able to perform up to par, so to speak. The other apps missed too many shots, which led me to golfshot. This app tracks shots very well, with apple watch. Rarely have I had to add or edit shots. Really only on punch outs or recovery shots have I had to change anything. I like the caddie or suggested club feature to help chose your club, for the shot required. Also like all the distances to objects when using the phone app. The beauty is that you can use both the watch and phone app at the same time, without issues. Would like to see “Shots Gained”. Hopefully an upcoming feature. Also would like to be able to set the pin, when reaching the green, with the apple watch and track putts better. With those features it would be an absolute outstanding app.

Love the App! But…. I do love this app. I use it mostly for the GPS on the Apple Watch. It’s also nice that they still give you some basic stats about your game on the free version. One suggestion though. Right now your individual statistics are calculated using data from all rounds scored on the app, meaning your data is an accumulation over many seasons. It may be a tough install, but if there were a way to sort your statistics by season that would be a major update. It’s nice to be able to track your progress, not only by your handicap, but by looking at how your FIR, GIR, putts, etc. change year in and year out.

Great app with great support. Love this app to record my rounds. Works great along with the Apple Watch app as well. Easy to use and calculates handicap after 3 rounds. Course previews are awesome when playing new courses. Ran into an issue where my local course changed 2 of their par 4’s into par 5’s, so the app was off on those holes. Contacted support and sent them pictures of the scorecard with updated course information, and they had the course updated on the app within 2 days. Highly recommend.

Best of the many I tried. I upgraded to Golfshot Pro because I was so happy with the app. It has two features most important to me: distances using iwatch GPS (the iphone should be in bluetooth range but does not have to be on your person), and a terrific shot tracking feature that allows you to see all your shots and distances on overlayed on each hole after the round. I don't believe there's another iwatch app that does that. In addition, tech support has been terrific and responsive including remapping one of my local courses when I reported some errors.

There’s no easy app for The Watch.. I’ve been using this app since my iPhone 3G, it’s great. I’ve tried all the others and have come back to golf shot every time. The main reason I love this app is how easy it is to track your score and stats on the watch. Now that the watch auto tracks shots it’s just a no-brainer to use. One tip, if you use the auto shot tracking of your Apple Watch it’s very important that you score the hole prior before you hit your next tee shot. I’ve found if you don’t do this the auto shot tracking gets a bit confused but it makes sense, scoring the hole most likely resets the tracking to the next tee box.

Apple Watch app experience is poor. Ever since the latest updates that enabled GPS on the Apple Watch...experience using the Apple Watch has declined. Especially if you keep your phone on you to keep score....the connection between the watch and phone is non-existent...and yardages are never consistent between the two. With the latest update and turning off “watch GPS always ON”. Its even WORSE. You are forced to turn that feature on and eat the battery life on the watch...just to get updated yardages. This SHOULDN’T be if you keep your phone on you the WHOLE time and use the gps on the phone and not the watch. Update after contacting support team: still no resolution, I was asked to make sure my Bluetooth was turned on my phone. I mean come on...if I’m starting my round on the phone and the watch is seeing that round started...it’s obviously connected to my phone!! At this point I doubt I’m paying the extra charges for pro features.

A must have. What got me hooked was the price. $40 / year for this, given that represents the cost of a couple rounds IN GOLF BALLS ALONE for many people, is a bargain. That said I would not pay much more than that. But the value is there especially if you own an Apple Watch and not an rangefinder (or in my case you own one but you now realize you didn’t need it because of Golfshot.) I wish it had a family plan. I would like to be able to configure the experience a bit. And I wish it would take a crack at tracking my strokes and putts. But I can’t to without it even as is.

Inaccurate yardages. This was my favorite app. It’s easy to use and all the extra features are great. However, all of a sudden the gps is off by 15-20 yards. I played Torrey Pines North yesterday and gps was off. Some were long and some were short. I switched to Hole 19 and that was perfectly accurate. I really want to continue to use this app and asked several times for the problem to be fixed, but their tech support Sara told me that they tried everything and 15-20 yards is within their margin of error. I paid full price for this app and I’m sad that I can’t use anymore. But when the distance is more than 1 club length off, I can’t trust it, therefore becomes useless even with all the features. On a side note, I upgraded my iPhone just to see if that would fix the problem. It was an excuse to upgrade my phone but the problem was not my phone.

Very Excellent. I started back up golfing with a buddy about year ago. I love the scorecard feature as opposed to the paper scoreboards that I would usually just throw away anyway. So far every course I have played has been in the app and I can track my progress by an easy review of the scorecard. I tried out the AR feature and it was awesome. Sometimes your ball lands in places that make viewing the pin a little difficult, however easy to find through the app. I don’t have to guesstimate how far away I am because I get the distance through the app and so far it has worked great with the watch. I also love how it syncs with my daily activity!

Long Time User.... For the most part the app is fine. I’ve trained myself to “calibrate” the GPS with my laser by going to the 150 marker and noting what Golfshot reads to the middle of the green then going to the middle of the green and use the laser to shoot the 150 marker. From there I mentally adjust what shows in Golfshot, typically +/- 2-7 yards. This is helpful for blind shots. Score keeping for the groups is average. The interface to keep score could be enhanced with less screen changes for each golfer’s score. Defaulting to Par would also reduce taps. A handy addition. would be using GHIN to update all golfer’s CH and then a choice of playing off of the low CH. More games would be nice (Skins?). Extra credit to allow different groups to keep and share scores in real time. The ability to download past scores would be welcomed and mentioned for years. The stats are fine but tedious to review in the app or site. On a final note, the reviews are ripe with questions to common situations and “complaints”. Instead of the generic “contact support” response, why not answer the questions in the response so others can learn from it. At the very least cut and paste from the FAQ.

Great app but buyer beware on a small glitch. This is easily the best golf app for someone that uses an Apple Watch and wants all of the bells and whistles during a golf round. It is extremely accurate on all base yardage to the front, middle, and back of each green. The ease of knowing the distance to hazards and distance of each shot is outstanding. All of the data being accessed after a round for review is great. My single issue which is why I say buyer beware if you have a Apple Watch is there is a glitch in the software as it relates to workout data being communicated to the health data on on the IPhone. Some days it communicates the first hour of the round most days nothing is send from the Golfshot app to the health app. If you do not care about this feature in my opinion it is the easiest, most accurate, with outstanding features of all of the apps I have tried. I will likely look for another similar app to replace Golfshot as I really want the health data along with the golf data.

Not What I Was Hoping For. I went for a 7 day trial. Only lasted a day. It would help if the pictures matched the course I was playing. Instead they had the hole layups for the back and front 9 swapped but yet the holes listed properly. If that sounds confusing. Imagine trying to use it. I started playing as if I was playing the back (while playing the front) because the picture was of 10 not 1. But when entering stats the scorecard had the right numbers to par. Par 4 then Par 3. It rendered the hole gps to certain features on the course useless if you wanted an accurate scorecard and stats. Or you could have the accurate picture but wrong hole. The topping on the cake was that the gps jumped around and didn’t stay consistent or accurate on a clear day. It would say I had 750 yards into a hole. I first fixed this by scrolling forward that back to the hole I was on. That worked for a few holes but then stopped. That is when I stopped using the app. I am hoping to not be charged for the pro version as I was under a trial. The good is that the layout on the Apple Watch is one of the best for apps. The ease of entering scores and the dark theme were all awesome. Shot tracking was hard giving the inaccuracies I spoke of earlier. And not having a consistent gps is a deal breaker.

Better than a range finder.. After going golfing with this app over a hundred times, comparing it to my friends rangefinders, yardage markers on course and cart gps on the nicer golf carts. This is hands down the best option for someone who doesn’t want to take a mortgage out on a golf accessory. Most range finders start at the price of the Apple Watch and that’s all they do. My Apple Watch does all sorts of things, like tell me I’m fat or that I breathe too shallow. So that’s nice. And you can upgrade the app to do something else but I didn’t, because I just use it as a range finder, and that parts free. So have fun and play well.

Great on the iPhone, Apple Watch is almost there. Can’t say enough good things about the app on the iPhone. Only way to accurately gauge distance without a range finder. Only thing missing really is elevation. Tracks a lot of stats you would care about. Learned today that you need to have the to subscription to show the maps and distances on the Watch. If your map is white on the Apple Watch, it’s because you need the to subscription. $30 bucks annual is steep, but developers are not free. Apple Watch app does need improvement though. Can’t select specific areas of the map for custom distances. Also, GPS is much slower to update than my Garmin Watch. Definitely something to consider.

Not what I hoped. I have an iPhone X and an Apple Watch 3 series and decided to give this app a try on a 5-day golf trip. Downloading the courses and navigating the app on the phone were okay but there were some usability issues I found very frustrating. First, starting a round is easy enough but figuring out how to end a round (if you intended to just look at the hole fly-overs, or decided to score manually) is a challenge. The “end round” feature is buried in the menu and without finding it, there’s no alternative to load a new course. After setting up my clubs and distances, I found the overall suggestions from the app on the phone to be decent and the GPS to be within a yard of other hand held GPS that were present on the courses I was playing. The major issue was the lag on the watch and the fact that even though the round was being played with my phone in pocket, the watch rarely ever could keep and glancing at my wrist yielded either the yardage from the tee (start) or dashes. Very often the applet on the watch would t even come up and I would need to hunt for it. I wanted this to be easier and more intuitive and was considering the $29 if the response on the watch was decent but it just wasn’t

Mostly helpful but 3 big flaws. I’m an 11 handicap and have the pro subscription and enjoy using the app. The data it offers, particularly with swing ID, is illuminating. That said, three BIG flaws need to be addressed. First, it drains the Apple Watch battery 60% after 9-holes. I “fixed” this by purchasing an Apple Watch Ultra (bigger battery). Would be nice if you could toggle GPS off between shots to preserve battery life. Second, you can’t use swing ID on the range. What good is that data if you can’t use it to practice? I mean, it’s helpful data, but not very accurate beyond tee shots. I would like to be able to select which club I’m shooting before each shot, not have it assume automatically based on distance. That’s why it’s really only helpful on tee shots. Finally, it doesn’t differentiate between actual shots and practice shots. There needs to be a toggle option to allow us to practice swings without registering a shot.

Hole rating update. Our Golf course changed the ratings of some holes. I sent a photo of the card to Golfshot GPS on the Friday afternoon through their app; Monday morning it’s updated! Wow!

Freezing. Have loved this App for 2 years and just renewed the paid subscription. For the first time ever the App froze continually. Note there was an update 4 days ago. Please have a look at this issue please.

Not Australia friendly. Does not support golf Australia handicaps so kind of pointless using it.

Course upgrades. Still some courses that need up grading in Western Australia: Lakelands Sun City Are two I have recently played at

Jose Martinez. Everything you want is in this magnificent app

Great app / Great support. Highly recommend!! The support for questions / usage / anything!! Is phenomenal

Watch extremely buggy. Great app on iPhone, however loads of issues on the watch. Syncing imagery takes a long time and causes the app to constantly crash. Loading games also causes the app to crash. Have to restart watch each time to get it working. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t help, and just makes me have to re-download every course imagery again. Please fix watch app!!

Enjoying Golf Shot. Liking the app. But it would be great if scores entered automatically updated on your friend’s account. Thanks Justin

Course updates too slow. I used to love this app but my local (very popular) course was renovated four years ago or more now and yet they’ve not updated the layout on the app so all the distances and are wrong. This is one of the most popular Melbourne public courses (Sandringham) so it’s really frustrating. I’ve asked both the club and Golfshot about it several times but never had an concrete answer. Who is responsible for updates? That’s unclear. Frustrated to the extent that I’m going to cancel my subscription unless it’s resolved before renewal date

Need to add a 9 hole option. The app works well. Although if I play only 9 holes. It will score on 18holes. As I’m not shooting 50 on 18 holes at -18.

Great customer service. Very good app I asked for them to gos my local course and they responded and did so great customer service

Good app. Downloaded this app to work with watch. Is pretty easy to use and has some good features and stats. I think a couple of improvements could be around the swings stats insights. You can’t seem to review these post round, really know what they mean, how they compare to pros or get average benchmarks on where you are at. These details along with perhaps training videos / recommendations around how to improve would make this app no. 1

Wear OS Issues. Paid for the pro version but cannot get it to work with Wear OS watches. Support say that it is s known problem and they are working on a fix any day now. This was 4 weeks ago. Support take over 1 week to reply. I would not recommend this app if you are wanting to use a smart watch with it.

Barry Bowman. Good easy app to follow, and has help me judge which club to use.

Watch display. I used this app for the first time this week. I’m only interested in the gps for distance but was disappointed that the watch only shows distance to centre of green. Other free apps show front, middle and back, so I will probably use them instead.

Still not good enough for a paid app. I pay for the pro version so have access to all features. My devices are AW4 And iPhone X. I find the watch is a bit slow at at giving me accurate distance and it takes a few wrist raises which then makes me nervous of the distance. The connection with my phone in my pocket is often lost and then it's so slow entering data at the completion of each hole as I wait for the whirring wheel. If I update the home result on my phone it often doesn't update on my watch so it falls a hole behind. Definitely needs more work. I won't be giving up my Sureshot laser anytime soon.

Great app but needs refining.. Really disappointed, I have been a massive advocate for this app and used it for years, however recently I played 2 rounds of golf and when putting scores in, it deleted my scores automatically on random holes. Also, when in scorecard mode on an iPhone XS, you can’t click out of it as it put in portrait mode. Have to keep tapping the corner and hope it finds it. Still will use this app but please iron out these bugs.

Handicap incorrect for over 9 months. Since Australia changed its handicap system, the app has been unable to get it right. I don’t know why it’s so hard. I’ve shared my club scorecard & handicap details many times & it still won’t work.

Will not sync after log in.. Simply will not sync after log in. Queries via messenger have returned responses mentioning the team is working on the issue. It’s been a week since I haven’t been able to log in and possibly more as I hadn’t logged in for a while prior. I notified them on Friday morning and still no rectification. I asked for them to halt my subscription so as not to lose any time, they said they wouldn’t do this. The app does not work. Do not bother. Note that I cannot submit without marking at least one star or I would give no stars.

Great app backed up with great support.. I stumbled across this app and thought I would give it a look. I tried adding my equipment but it wasn’t in the listing. After a simple question and only a nights wait to support it was no trouble for them to add my gear. I recommend this to everyone wanting to track your game progression. Fantastic effort Golfshot team.

Frustrated. Could not get it to start a round. Every time I tried it would revert back to set up page. Found it hard to navigate and ended up deleting it 😡

Worked and then didn’t.. I loved this app when I first got it. It helped me with distances, tracking my shots during rounds etc. But recently I’ve had issues with the maps and gps being incorrectly aligned which renders the app useless. I tried to have this issue rectified through support but they ignored everything I said and focused on irrelevant details. They have an issue with the map data for my area and I was able to prove this through my own investigation but they weren’t interested and effectively blamed my usage. Also the recent addition of the strokes gained feature made the app overlay complicated to use during a round. I don’t have time to change the course conditions as well as the position and the club selection for every shot. Then I have to mark where the pin was. An app should be simple and easy to use during your round.

Fantastic App. Fantastic app have been using it for a long time. Really enjoy using. Makes looking back great and the stats ever so valuable.

Great App but no good on Apple watch. The app itself is great as is the functionality on the watch. Sadly the watch comstantly faults and goes back to previous holes, the shot tracker often faults and doesn’t pick up all shots and is generally very glitchy. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and it hasn’t improved but maybe gotten worse. Not much point in using the watch app at this point. Contemplating cancelling my subscription and moving to a different phone app and watch product.

Non better. Being an avid golfer , I’ve tried lots of apps but Golfshot is miles ahead . There are so many good things about this app I can’t list them , suffice to say it ties in beautifully with my Apple Watch . Accurate distances . Incredible views of the holes and every bit of information you could need . Not forgetting the lesson videos ! Great golf app

Awesome. This is a great tool to have on the golf course, plenty of detail and easy to use. I like the average to par option as I play quite a few social rounds so it gives you a good idea where you’re at. Have had a couple of situations where there were variations between the course on the app and the actual course, but a quick note with the updates to the team and it was rectified quite quickly. (That is not a complaint as it would be foolish to think course ratings and holes are going to be 100% with the 1000’s of courses available and constant changes on those courses)

Great app but now some bugs. I have used this for 60+ rounds now and enjoy it with the Apple Watch for half of those rounds. But ever since they added the swing sensor thing it drains the battery so I turn it off, then some days it doesn’t turn off and others it doesn’t even track my shot distance for some reason. Really hope it sorts itself out as I like everything else. Would have been 5 stars but this is just getting annoying

Great App, but hard to cancel subscription. This is a great app (although I haven’t had the chance to use it lately) however I found it difficult to cancel my annual subscription through self guidance. Please add this for future versions. Also, if future versions also came with a free babysitter, I could play more golf too :)

Must have golf app. In depth hole by hole information and scoring. Simplistic design, easy to navigate. Paid version is well worth the price. Would be great to see the ability to link with Golf Australia handicap system.

Was good now kills apple watch. The current version of this app stall when syncing imagery on my Apple Watch and won’t quit. I can’t even force quit it. It then drains the watch battery in a few hours. Had to uninstall it from my Watch. It previously worked fine.

Its your personal pro golf caddie. I like to play lots of different golf courses and use this app all the time now.

How Good Is This App!. Really improved my game. Super helpful having accurate data in relation to the distance to hole and average meterage on your clubs ✅👌💯

Great gps and extras. Have been using for past year and a bit and keeps up with other players Garmin watches in real time distances. But with the added features of being my normal daily watch and now the new swing analysis that reinforces my horrible slicey shots by letting me know yet again I swung a horrible out to in driver shot! But all in all still a fantastic app with great features. One suggestion being from Australia would be if they were able to integrate our handicaps (as is only has American) and able to submit scorecards by linking or adding a marker.

Range. Please add he range function, but aside from this, the app is great!

Great app. This was an editors choice app and it’s great. I have only used the basic functions so far but it works very well and appears to be easily used during a round.

Going backwards fast. Been a long time Golfshot user. Updates have taken lots of information out of this app having become extremely basic now. It is now not what I purchased and what I once recommended to others.

Lots of promise but... Just doesn't work that good. Switches holes randomly and 'auto shot detect' was unreliable. Strokes Gained never worked. Didn't make it into week 2 of my 2 week trial before I cancelled

Fantastic. Awesome app that helps you improve your game as well as offering top class yardages with detailed information you need.

Outstanding golf app. This golf app is one of the originals and the best. Been using it for years since I started playing golf and still use the app to this day. Very easy to download and use and great how the app acts as a scorecard and counts your rounds and stats. Also very helpful to have GPS distance tracker for each hole. This app helps improve your golf. Outstanding golf app.

Ads!. I’m all for ads but there is no option other than a $50 subscription for features I will never use to remove them. On top of that the new ads are intrusive and take over the whole screen frequently. Poor form.

Watch functionality and use is shocking. Have the latest watch, an iphone7 and the synchronous between the too is shocking. The watch never keeps the display up then when you launch the app on the watch again it’s a hole or three behind. I don’t care about being able to enter my scores as I do that on the phone and it’s great. I just want the watch to keep up with phone and give me distances at a glance. Really annoying on the watch.

Poor currency. Holes not updated on my course for at least 3 years. Many hole changes not represented in this app therefore becoming worthless.

This app will improve you golf!. I have been playing golf for many years. My wife gave me an Apple Watch for Christmas. I was already using Golfshot on my phone but the compatibility with the watch made it even more valuable with the scoring and tracking options. Very easy to use and did not distract me from the task at hand. The stats gave me a clear picture of what I needed to work on. Thank you for a great app Golfshot.

You need this app. Great app, I have been using it for years.

Greens do not match up with app. Some of the green do not match with the setting on the on the hole on the app 3 of the 9 hole play longer on the app then in real time

Fantastic. Great App does exactly what it says it does ,well done to the person who wrote this app

Golfshot is So Helpful. I have been using Golfshot now for about a decade. It is wonderful being able to see rounds played around the world over the years. I like being able to include a photo of the course as a reminder. It keeps all your stats, GIR, sand shots, putts etc. I recommend using it next time you play.

Used to be the best golf app going round. Not sure what’s going on with the app. Super buggy at the moment. Won’t function properly and let me score for other players. The Apple Watch function has also gone backwards which is disappointing.

How good is this app. Once you get your head around it, you’ll love it!

Great app. I tend to sync the course and home on wifi then use it on a the course. Don’t know why the South Carolina option is alway ticked as I’m bas d in Australia? Also if looses all the aireals shots sometimes.

Not precise. Used the app on 18 hole course readings from every shot tee to green was at least 40 //60 yards off from yardage sign at tee box and on fairway. The other golfers I was with had the same readings as sign at tee and on fairways.I should get my money back won’t recommend this app for sure.

Golfshot. I’ve been using the free version quite happily for a few years. Recently on my Apple Watch I have to select the Golfshot app every hole. Same for my husband. What happened??

Bug on apple watch. Bug on apple watch. When I want to enter score it goes left to hole preview.

Recently became unstable on iwatch. Starts and finds course easily but many times in past month the iwatch doesn’t allow for tracking if score and “flickers” or rolls without response. I need to add score on phone. Is this because I’m not purchasing the app and using the free app? Do you want me to purchase or is there an upgrade required for app?

Great customer service. Was dealing with Nadja via email. She was so responsive and addressed every question I had and made recommendations. I’ve always liked the app and will continue to use it. Usually when you pay for an app all you get is the tech but with golf shot you get great service to.

Great App, Not Perfect. I enjoy using this golf app the most compared to other shot tracking and gps apps. My one main wish for this app is to have two more directions for off the tee shot. One being hook and other being slice. As is now, if I miss the fairway right/left by two feet or if I’m right/left 50 yards into the trees. When I look back on my round that I don’t track every shot, all I can see is that I missed the fairway right or left, not if it was a slice/hook OB or a missed fairway by a yard or two. That is my wish for this app that would make it perfect for me.

Yardage out 20-40 yards on most shots. The app is decent but the yardage isn’t close to accurate. I have used it on 5 different courses while comparing to other peoples gps as well as using a rangefinder and it isn’t close to accurate. Very disappointing for the money spent on it

Best of the Bunch!. I’ve been using this app for just over the year and absolutely love it! Easy to use and accurate data. Love the shot tracking as I enter my shots into a spreadsheet to keep a running distance average. One thing that is really great that most apps can’t claim is that the support group are very responsive and extremely helpful. I’ve had to reach out to them a couple of times when I’ve deleted a round by mistake and in a matter of hours it’s been restored! Can’t say enough about how important having a strong support group is.

Awesome App. Love the App but it seems to be off by 10 yards. Really love the overhead view and that it has every coarse I’ve ever played.

Course Not Up to date. Kawartha GC changed its holes in August 2022 and the app has not updated to reflect.

Spam. They use your email for marketing.

Not sure. Downloaded the app, did all the steps each ball. But after 9 holes… nothing was recorded! What a waste of time. Looks cool and all but what a headache this was. Recited each dmn shot and nothing!

GPS. Une Bonne différence dans les distances au moins 15 verges de différence en moins.

Golfshot App. Basic function is quick and easy and works great. The problem I had is the maps are off in Canada due to proximity of satellites. The pin positions are out by 20 to 50 yards. Not very useful to plan your approach.

The range is a bit off. I find that the yard counter is a bit off from the course markers and other peoples gps locators ..

Charged after cancelled. These guys are crooks. Continue to charge for the app after cancelled and deleted app.

Can’t edit, can’t close. Don’t make a mistake, impossible to fix. I’m in some weird loop.

OKAY APP. But needs minor fixes.. Decent App but a bit buggy.. Yardage was off compared to course or other smart golf watches.. Garmin watches were much more accurate. App would sometimes glitch out to not allow score to be inputted on watch and instead score had to be inputted on phone. Very annoying. I am sure each of these is a simple software update and then I would give it 10/10 and would consider purchasing the full version.

Best golf app! Way better than a range finder too!. Pro version is worth it!

Pro Version helps yardage. I use the pro version and love the distances to all the hazards and greens. Really helps with club selection. Really like the tracking ability. But one thing… the ability to reset all your stats.

Unless you switch to pro, you get nothing. Bought the basic annual plan. Cannot get basic real time distance info to IPhone and watch. Unless you move to Pro...

Putting. Too much time to pace your putting yardage.

Dernière mise à jour. L’application ne fonctionne plus du tout… 😩

Great support team. They responded to my request very quickly. Their advice solved the problem. I then received a follow up email to make sure all was going well. I was very impressed.

Johnny. The pro version is very expensive and some golf course is not up to date, in Florida there is killian and red land with no image for the first holes. Customer service could not help with the problems

No great. Finding this app not easy to use. It goes in circles when trying to get to play golf It’s also very annoying being asked to go to pro emery time I select play.

App parfaite. T’es bonne app ça fait déjà quelques années que je l’utilise et je suis satisfait avec iPhone et Apple Watch

Review. Dynamic golf course in our region. My last game before eye surgery ... hip hip hooray. Hoping to return and try with eyes that can see my dam golf ball. Seriously. This is likely the best and most challenging course in the Essex County area. Very well maintained, groomed, with a sensational layout. We started with the old original GOLD course and finished on the RED course. Using Golfshot helped greatly with the layout distances recommended Clubs,. I was struggling too often to appreciate consistent gold shots. My purpling wasn’t working on the folly Polly greens. But golfshot made it enjoyable.

Great App. Does everything I want. I mostly use it for keeping score and distance to the greens. That said there are many other features for golf enthusiasts. I was going to buy a golf watch but with this app there is no need.

Pro. The pro mode was the best in app I’ve bought

Love this app - needs more.. Love this app. Clean and efficient. Not sure what the difference between standard and pro is? I would add scorecards and different games to this, like Wolf, Hammer, Wolfhammer, Snake, etc. For match play, allow for more than 2 teams ie. 6 players 3 teams ( 2 v 2 v 2). Thanks!

Love the app. Great, simple to use and easy linking to my watch

Fantastic app. App works great love every feature very happy but kills my watch. Make sure watch fully charged I barely make it through a round before it dies.

Paid for pro- amateur support. I have been in touch with the support team. Continued issues with my shot tracking are so frustrating. I miss half my round’s shots. Constantly having to check my phone to see if it’s tracking and enable tracking again. Support team trying their best I think but I paid for pro and plan to ditch it if I can’t get proper help. I find I’m watching my phone more than the game. Not what I intended when I purchased.

Amazing app but what makes it outstanding is their Customer Service. I really love this app. I’ve been using it since the beginning and I do buy the pro version. Every years new features comes to life which makes this app already number one in my book even better. Now what makes it even more amazing is that my course did have the proper slope and it really affected my handicap. Within a few days after the original communication Nadja (the service rep) had everything fix. Wow!

Inaccurate Distances. I just tested this app with my Garmin S60 watch and Laser Rangefinder. This app was consistently providing wrong distances from within the 150 marker. Between 8 to 22 yards on every shot. That’s 1 to 2 club difference. Visually you can tell that the yardages were wrong. I don’t recommend this app. Still trying to find a decent Apple Watch app for golf.

It’s OK but erratic.. Distance to pin, isn’t reliable, in fact it’s always wrong. Would be nice if I could turn that off. It’s just confusing. Shot distance tracking has never worked for me. Turn it on, nothing happens. Distances are often 10 yards difference, my watch to my wife’s??? But sky caddie had same problem. I do like the score and stat tracking made easy. If I had a wish it would be that it linked to my Golf Canada account and saved me the step of filing my scores with them.

Apple Watch. Add more orientations to the Apple Watch….

Great features but lacks accuracy on yardage. I love the ease of use and many features of this app but it can be 20-30 yards off on yardage. It is off by that much on 5 holes at my home course. 10-15 yds on a few others. The same on other courses I have played. So I still have to use a range finder because I am uncertain of which holes are good and which are not so defeats the main purpose of the app.

Software issue. The app fails to rotate the score card when tilting the phone (IOS) The freezes and will not resume unless exiting it

Awesome App. I highly recommend this app. Able to keep scor, gps is spot on, was able to select the right club, so simple to use for an average golfer. You don’t need a watch either. Might be handy so your not pulling out your phone, but not required. I’m very happy with this app.

Fantastic App!. This is a great app especially if you pair it with the Apple Watch. Definitely helps you track your game progress!

Awesome App. I have been using this for a few years, have tried others and keep coming back to this! Keep up the good work!

Since upgraded to new IOS14, app is not working on Apple watch. Any solution.... Please give solution. Since downloaded IOS 14, How to get it worked with Apple watch

I love it.. Very good interface and great club recommendations as I’m using pro version. In’s and out’s of auto tracking with Apple watch can be ambiguous at first but is working 95% of the time. I’m still not sure how to get it to change clubs I’m using at times. It doesn’t seem to use my actual yardages to calculate the auto distance for each club unless I’m missing something. Aside from all that it’s a great resource to keep track of your personal progress. Real time yardage and hazard info is great. I’d like the ability to mark certain rounds as null so far as my stats are concerned. I’d like to keep my earlier rounds but they really affect the stats a lot since I wasn’t playing well early on. Another cool feature could be the ability to show parts of fairways that are high and then descend to lower elevations.

Oops. I thought the yardages were off (see previous review). The folks at golfshot quickly determined that I had selected meters rather than yards. Impressive service. And um, yes the yardages are spot on.

Still struggling with Apple Watch tracking. Hoping there is a YouTube video to help set up clubs better for women and track more than 2 putts per hole!

Missing for me. Is the option to rename my club’s. For example a 52 o.

Out of Sync. This app is terrible if you try to use the sync to your Apple Watch. It is so frustrating with not keeping the right score using shot tracking your focus turns to the app and not your golf game. The GPS becomes completely useless on the Apple Watch. Will not use this app after end of subscription.

Great app with one complaint. I love this app and companion watch app. Not sure when this started happening, but the saving scores on my watch are not saving correctly on my phone. When I am entering scores on my watch, and go back to the scorecard on my phone, the saved scores are not what I entered. Sometimes the score is wrong, sometimes the number of putts is wrong. It doesn’t happen every time, but it happens enough that I cannot trust it. Every round there are 2 to 5 holes that I need to go back and fix before saving my round. Very frustrating.

Awesome and comprehensive.. Phenomenal! Keeps track of score on the fly, tracks shots and updates my handicap through USGA and GHIN. Had a glitch, reached out to support and resolved in less then 24 hours. Spent 2 hours online trying to figure it out without any success. Normally tech support would be my last option. Man was I wrong here. Awesome app both in my watch and phone very comprehensive!

Works great but...... First of all, Golfshot is a great app. I use it all the time. What would be an awesome feature would be for the user during their course of play to tap on the screen and place a mark on the course as to where to land their ball. When the player goes and plays that course again the marks and distance would be available. I play on an amateur tour and play a course a couple times in preparation. I feel that would be beneficial feature.

Best Golf App, PERIOD.. Having used multiple different GPS and scoring platforms in the past, I can confidently say that Golfshot is by far the best app of its category. As an Apple Watch user, I love the automatic shot tracking and the fact that I can use the majority of the app features without my phone. All around an elegant and effective application, and I highly recommend purchasing a premium subscription to utilize the full capabilities of the app.

Strokes gained accuracy?. Been a Golfshot user for over 10 years and was excited to use the strokes gained feature with the Apple Watch but I am not confident that the SG calculations are accurate. For SG putting the only distance needed is the first putt, along with the amount of putts required to complete the hole. But the app requests all putt distances, which is not how SG putting is calculated. The input on the watch would be much easier with first putt distance only and amount of putts taken, especially for a player like me that 3 putts often lol. It begs the question, how accurate are the other SG metrics on this app?

Love this app!. Great app overall. Tried it along with a range finder and it was pretty much spot on. Maybe a 2-3 yards difference. Added my clubs to the bag and adjusted the yardage. App suggests which club to use on your next shot. Now I have a personal caddie with me. Takes away the guessing on the majority of my shots. With your “personal” caddie and GPS, this speeds up the pace of play during a round. Highly recommend especially for amateurs or novice players (like myself).

Terrible app doesn’t work & no support. Paid member and neither the app on iPhone or Apple Watch work. With other Apple Watch apps I just look at my watch when I get to my ball and it brings up my distances. With this garbage I have to scroll through all the apps to find the Golfshot app and open it and wait for it to load....on every single shot. The phone app freezes as I’m trying to drag the target around. On prior round watch said it was downloading images and never got past hole 5, then on course the Apple Watch stopped opening the app. I downloaded Hole 19 and GolfLogix on back 9 and each of those worked seamlessly, were accurate and free! I tried contacting Golfshot support and nobody ever replied back.

Great but needs one or two annoying fixes.. When score keeping is being completed at the end of the hole the app often switches to the next hole. Seeing how there is no quick ‘previous’ hole select it is cumbersome to say the least. Auto advance to the next hole is off and yet still goes to the next hole before scoring. If scoring is active the next hole should not advance until the user selects it or maybe have the auto advance be reliable. Having a quick ‘back’ or ‘previous’ hole quick select would be handy.

All Scoring History data wiped out. Been using this app for close to 10 years and love it and would be worth my 5 stars. My only issue is that I lost all my rounds history that I’ve accumulated over those many years when I redownloaded the app in April 2023. I tried reinstalling the app again but I still end up with the handful rounds I entered this year. Basically it looks like I’m a new customer. Would appreciate if dev can reach out to resolve this. -Nick

Phenomenal product. This app is great at doing what it says it will, and is an absolutely game changer if you use all the features. One thing I would like to see, is some sort of practice mode with the Swing ID. I have a hitting area set up in my garage, and would love to get the swing data as far as club path, hand speed, etc. while practicing and not just on the course.

Since 2011. My wife gifted me this app in 2011 for relatively low cost one time fee. Never subscribed to anything further. One of the best gifts I’ve ever received and the most valued app on my phone. No more paper scorecards except for tournaments where a signature is required. App holds 700+ rounds like a 9 year golf diary. Stats are basic but it shows where you’re strong and where you’re weak, like GIR, fairways hit, putting, which side you miss off the tee. Better than laser finders when you can’t see the target. Recommended.

The Standard Needs Tournament Features. Since this was my first golf scoring app that I used, I just all other apps from this. They pretty much all do the same but I think this app still stands out as the best. Only issue I have is when I’m playing in a large group or in tournament play. So many other apps have that scoreboard feature. Would love to see that on the free app version since sometimes you’ll get a random group of guys that will play in a tournament and not buy into the idea of a paid app.

Customer Service very responsive. I find Golfshot to be more accurate on distances than my Garmin watch! And it’s easy to use on Apple Watch. So far, so good! And when the course I play frequently made some changes, Golfshot was quick to update those changes after I emailed them a new course score card. Btw, fwiw—I much prefer this over Arccos. It’s less expensive, just as accurate and I don’t have to play with their grips which I don’t like.

The Feedback is Truly Beneficial!. The metrics captured and displayed by this app have shaved strokes off my rounds. For the first time since having a coach on the range, I can experience (and study) what my performance is in an actual round, then review and improve! I just wish I could use the swing metrics on the range. No need to capture distance, but the Apple Watch metrics would move this app to the next level! Waiting impatiently 🏌🏾

Best tool on the course. I’ve used Golfshot for years, it’s the best tool you could have on the course. I also purchased my GHIN and am able to submit scores right from the app. I just updated to the latest version and they have fixed the couple watch scoring issues I was having last season which makes everything work perfectly for me now! Syncing courses is also working great now.

Best Golf GPS ever!. Used Golfshot for the first time this morning and loved it! The newly added AR feature made it easy to pinpoint hazards and different obstacles around the course. I tested some of the yardage’s against my range finder and they were all spot on! I really liked the Apple Watch feature so that I could leave my phone in the cart and just look at my watch for correct yardage’s. Recommend any golfer to give it a try!

It doesn’t support Memorial Park Golf in Houston!. It’s a great app I enjoyed it for years (and paid for the pro version) but they haven’t updated their maps for Memorial Park Golf in Houston TX, two years after the remodeling of the course. Two years! I play Memorial every weekend and I simply can’t use the app. I’ve emailed customer service and yet they can’t update the course. I’ve switched to Garmin for my range viewfinder and Hole19 for my watch. Both have the new course updated. No idea why Golfshot has taken so much time to update their maps. It’s a PGA course! Maybe one of these years.

Great App especially getting back into the game. The app is fantastic. I’ve used shot tracking to better know how far I’m hitting each club. It’s really been a big help. Additional features have been being added making it a keeper. Only shortcoming is they don’t have a feature for tracking practice range shot. But that doesn’t take away from it’s effectiveness.

App and features are great but…. Everything about this app is fantastic. However it’s a bit pricey for us average golfers. At least give us the option to share the subscription with the family like some other apps do. For that price I should be able to share with my significant other. Otherwise best golf tracking gps app on the App Store. Oh and maybe a better “friends” section where we can setup matches together easier and see stats.

Waiting for Trailing Wrist Support. Been using Golfshot for 4 years now. I haven’t wanted to subscribe because all the features available have been plenty. Auto shot tracking on Apple Watch is a game changer. Though as a right hand dominant lefty, my watch is always on my trailing hand. Keep up the great work! My buddies and I are always comparing our distances (Golfshot vs Range Finder). Within a yard every time.

Apple Watch tracker not quite working as expected. Trying for 3 rounds now to get the app in phone and Apple Watch to track my whole game, keep correct score, and club use. But hasn’t been successful yet or easy. I’ll keep watching videos but just not sure why so much issue. Many times after several shots I realize it says not tracking and I go to my phone to select start tracking again. Hoping persistence pays off or will look for new one to try. I like the concept.

Not keeping up with Apple updates. I have enjoyed the app immensely until lately. It used to sync with my Apple Watch seamlessly. It would sync with my health and activity rings. Now it does not. It shows maybe I played a an hour or so only. No counting calories, exercise minutes, nor steps. I was used to using it to help monitor my health and activity. Since the iOS update I get no info now. I contacted them once and got a response but not since then as I had a follow up question. I am thinking of looking for a new app to use while golfing.

Great golf app. I have tried several of the free golf apps and prefer GolfShot over any of them. The distances are very accurate when I compared them to various golf GPS devices. Easy to track your scores and add golf buddies. I only wish that it allowed you to change the distance to target trouble areas in front of the green. I’m sure that’s available on the premium app, just not on the free version.

App is just mediocre…. So I purchased the “full package” and for my money I got half of the capabilities that are advertised and promised. The issue is simple, pairing the iwatch to my phone hasn’t worked. There is no tech support to speak of and the “instructions” for troubleshooting are sophomoric. When someone comes out with a golf app that actually works as advertised, and provides actual customer service, I’ll buy it. Until then, you can’t go wrong with a simple hand held, basic Garmin.

Great app missing one feature. This app does a lot of things well. I love The ability to track shots and get distances on the Apple Watch with ease. Turning your score into the GHIN website is a great feature. But when I play with my friends we all turn to a free app which allows for communal scoring. We can all enter our scores and they show up on the virtual scorecard for everyone to access. It’s especially great when your group is using two or more tee times. You can see how everyone is doing in real time! Add this feature and it will be a five star app in my opinion.

Great product. I love this product, particularly for courses I’m not familiar with. I play at one particular club mostly, which has two courses. There were several changes with the courses recently. The changes were not reflected in the app so I reached out to their customer service with the corrections that needed to be made. They made the changes within a couple of days so the course routing and maps are again accurate. Great customer service.

Great stats and interface. Missing friends and games. Of all the golf apps I’ve tried, I like the stats and rounds interface the most with Golfshot. Tracking shots is super easy as well. The only thing I feel this app is missing is a friends/games component, as well as seeing other users’ performance at the course. I really like 18 Birdies for that, but I can’t stand the rest of their interface. Any plans to incorporate any of those mentioned settings? (Friends, others’ performance/different game styles)

Great app!. This is a great app! I really like the perks that comes with the app. It is helpful for me because I walk when I play and it shows me the distance that I hit my ball. It also lets you book your tee time which can be very helpful. I also like that it can read the greens, has golf training videos, shows your handicap, and shows what you’re hole looks like when you are playing. Again, just an overall great app.

Best mix of statistics while still focused on group play. I’ve tried 18 Birdies, Arccos, SwingU, Bushnel, Blue Tees and many others. Though I want statistics, I want to keep scorecards for all my rounds with my playing partners. It’s the only app that I’ve found that tracks valuable statistics along with a group scorecard. Only wish would be to connect to other’s accounts for live scoring for all players like 18 Birdies.

Love the stats. I have been using golf shot for a little over 3 months, very easy to keep track of score and track shots for club distance. I like that after a while it will start suggesting clubs but most of the time can’t use that club because it does not factor in wind or elevation. Stats have been very helpful for tracking fairway hit, greens in reg and number of putts. All said it has been a verrry useful app

Golfshot for Apple Watch Broken. I've been using GolfShot for over 8 years and think it’s the best golf app for the iPhone. However, since early this year Golfshot on the Apple Watch has been causing the Activity app to record a tremendous amount of activity, 4 times more calories burned and fifty times more exercise minutes, even if I’m riding in a golf cart. I reported this as a ticket to GolfShot in April 2021 and was acknowledged by the developers as a problem but no fix has appeared. This essentially makes the Apple Watch app unusable for me and others who care about accurately tracking our fitness data. Others here have reported the same problem.

So close!. I use the Golfshot app every time I play, 3-4 times a week. It’s always within a yard or so of the “laser tag” devices in my group. While they’re all reaching for their handheld visual scanning device, I just glance at my Apple Watch. They’ll announce the yardage and I always concur! Yep, that’s what I have also. XXX yards to the front, XXX to the middle. Golfing for 40 years and can’t imagine how we got along without Golfshot!

Best value. I’ve used Golfshot for years all over the United States, and even in the Bahamas. My fellow golfers depend on me for its accurate distance, and to keep scores for all of us. It knows my club selection, and indicates where the flag is when it’s around the other side of trees at a dog leg. It marks all trees, creeks, and obstacles, and let me adjust the pin placement on the green. The best feature is being able to talk directly to their support technicians about its special features.

Good Golf app - needs Live Activities!. Been using this app since 2019 and I like how it works with my watch as well. But what they need to add is Live Activities. So when the phone is locked, the yardage, club suggestion and perhaps score would be useful on the Lock Screen. I know only iPhone 14 and 15 pros have always on display on Lock Screen, but it would still be a nice feature to have. Hopefully they add it soon!

Solid app, docking a couple stars due to key missing feature. Solid app on the course. Nice functionality ideally paired with an Apple Watch or compatible wearable. My one gripe has to do with seasoned golfers and not being able to manually enter old scores to maintain your handicap. I’m not going to go through every hole I’ve shot for 20 rounds by starting a round. It will take me hours. I do however want my stroke avg to be maintained by entering old golf scores. Other competitors do this, please include it in your future roadmap.

Great app for Apple Watch. Golfshot is definitely the best app to use if you have an Apple Watch. The shot tracking works well, and the UI is easy to use. I love the new pin placement feature too. As far as improvements, I would love to see the option to play a 9-hole round. I generally split up rounds between days as I go in the evenings and can’t squeeze in 18. Just hit a PR but it doesn’t register correctly because I played two rounds of 9 separately!

Best Golf App - Non-existent Customer Service. After using the app for about 2 months consistently I can honestly say this is the best golf app available , especially if you go with the Plus subscription, though not cheap. However: I’m not giving it 5 stars because the customer service is non-existent. I have submitted 3 separate tickets with questions and minor issues both via the app and the website. Not once has the developer or customer service replied. To give you an idea, my first question/ticket submitted was on Sept 30th. It’s October 20th and…complete silence. I have heard this from other users as well: Fantastic app, zero response from them. TLTR Summary: Get the app if you are serious about golf. It’s worth it. But if you ever have an issue with it, or a question, don’t hold your breath for a response.

Ok but buggy and developer not focused. I’ve been a pro member for years. For months when I saved my score on my watch, it advanced to the next hole but when I reviewed my score after the round I found my scores weren’t saved correctly. Emailed shotzoom and they advised I need to “wait a few seconds” for the scores to register from the watch. Ok fine, but this is obviously a bug that needs to be fixed bc the scoring entry doesn’t say that and the button to save and move to next hole is not grayed out, but active. So how come it’s not fixed? It doesn’t even seem to be on their radar. Very disappointing.

The app crashes. Every time I have attempted to use this app with swing ID, it crashes. The stand alone course tracking works well but I cannot use it with my Apple Watch. The app doesn’t load on my Apple Watch also. I have a 7 series watch, an IPhone 13 with everything updated on both devices. I’ve attempted to uninstall and reinstall the app on both devices multiple times and still don’t have any progress. I paid for the subscription which is useless because I haven’t been able to use it. I would like my money back. App would be great if it did what it said it does.

Year of use. Its been a year since i got golf shot pro and i enjoy it. I use it in combination with an apple watch and get very accurate data for my round of golf. Put up against a range finder it’s usually within 3 yards. The caddie function is my favorite feature i have my clubs dialed in for how i play so it takes the guess work out of club selection. The only thing you need to know for sure is your wedge distances so you need to adjust your swing for yardages.

Golf shot support and usage. I golf quite a bit and I will say this app is the best I have ever used. Shot tracking and the feature to use camera to mark distances in a new hole is great. It works so smoothly on my Apple Watch. Best of all whenever I have a problem like needing a course updated etc, the support folks are very reachable and they follow thru fast. So it’s nice to have an app that works and that has a quick replying support staff.

Glitch. I have had this app when it first came out many years ago. I love it when it works. But lately it has been glitching. Sometimes after putting in my score it will not go back to gps page. Or I’m in the gps page and it will not let me put my score in. When the app works it deserves 5 stars. I’m trying to hang in there for you guys to fix it. Im tired of having to trash the app and reload it. Not good when you are in the middle of your round. Slows up play. PLEAS FIX ASAP. Thank you

Score Correction Needed. While playing you have times that you make an incorrect entry of the score and advance to the next hole. There does not seem to be a way to correct my mistake via my Apple Watch. After the round at home I go through the round and would like to make corrections at that time. The fly over is great and can add shot and clubs that were missed, but there does not seem to be a way to correct the score after saving the round.

Better than all the rest. This is the #1 on-course app for GPS and shot tracking. I’ve tried all the others and keep coming back to GolfShot because it is accurate and reliable. I plan to purchase an Apple Watch to make it even easier to track shots, but the manual tracking is quick and straightforward. Great work!

Love auto shot tracking and flyover. This feature is a very nice addition and worked pretty well for my first time trying it. Suggestion: there seems to be a disconnect between the tracked shots and the stats on your scorecard. For example: I went back and editing a few of my tracked shots after the round to change club used, etc. But I had to make those same changes again for the scorecard stats. It would be great if those 2 concepts were integrated tighter.

Functionality Problem. I have used this app for about two years now and it’s been really great. Now however, on my iPhone X running iOS 11.3, when I want to check the scorecard during a round, nothing but the score and it’s relation to par shows on the screen. The whole area below that is blank. I can’t see how many fairways or greens I have hit, nor can I see how many putts I have taken. It’s very frustrating. I have emailed support and have yet to receive any sort of response. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app and that didn’t work. Some assistance would be appreciated.

Great tool on the course. This app is fantastic. Use every day to map my course and check distances. The new swing is features overall are good, but could be better. Wish it was easier to track your shots/swings. But overall pleased with where it is now and would be surprised if it isnt improved since this app has seemingly gotten better over time. I use the paid version on iOS and also use the Apple Watch feature. For people with this setup this is a killer app to use.

Easy and functional. Great app for on the course . Highly recommend. With all extra features you get with the Pro version definitely would go with that as well. GPS very accurate and the features of the app are very useful and nice to have in the palm of your hand or on your watch . They're always growing and expanding the technology, love it .

Needs more detailed stat tracking options. To truly pull ahead from the other big golf apps, Golfshot needs to add more stat options such as club used on approach, side missed, distance to pin/green strike quality, chip/putt distances, as well as a strokes gained calculator. UI is great, especially for the GPS (one note is that the zoom function is too limited). Would also like to store hole-by-hope notes for a single round, rather than keep playing notes from past rounds.

Needs a little work to compete with others. The app doesn’t detect many swings during the round. Would also like to be able to enter, verify the score without having to swipe multiple times to get to it. Club selection should be available during the round as well. The app crashes after each round causing me to have to remove and download it every time. I have only used it twice but leaning on going back to my other app.
