Do not pay for such low odds!. I enjoy playing for the most part, except the odds of me pulling rare characters is very dismal. For instance over 500pulls for elite covers, my odds are 1:7, not 1:4. I should mention the bonus system works good for 3* pulls, as I’ve gotten some from that. I pretty much have to use cp to get any 4*, and cp are ridiculously slow to accumulate. My odds of getting 5* average 1:26, and that while using legend tokens, whether earned or bought with cp. I see my alliance members regularly get 5* and 4* pulls from the special event vaults, whereas I have NEVER gotten one, except from the anniversary vault, and that was only because I almost cleared the vault (could have cleared it if they hadn’t reset the vault for no reason). I did pay a couple of times, once by accident, to see whether a heroic 10pack would get me any 4*. Nope, all 3*. Not spending any more money for so low a return. The odds are definitely way off in my case.

I had a website issue.... You see, I hope these are getting read because I have been attempting to suggest on the website multiple times. The first two times I tried, my suggestion ended up in Adventure Gnome General Forum (don’t bother looking, I took them down). This is my last resort. My direct words from the forum (because I copied and pasted) are as follows... “I recently started playing (for the third time, long story) and I noticed that some of my favorite Marvel characters weren’t here. First, I was exceptionally disappointed to find that Crystal, the inhuman (you know, the one who can control all four basic elements and other basic ones, Crystal is also Medusa’s sister, can fly, married to Quicksilver and mother to Luna, you get the point) wasn’t in the game! She, along with her brother Triton (I don’t know if there is a cover with Triton on it) weren’t included. And that’s not all! I also wished that Emma Frost (the one with the crystallization ability and also was involved with the Terrigen mists, but I just realized I have a obsession with Marvel characters that involve crystals.) If these characters do end up getting into the game because of this suggestion, please send demos to all of my Alliance members (Alliance: Elite Squad, case specific.) PS: I don’t have any ranking suggestions, base it off of powers, I suppose?” Sorry if the text got large blame copying and pasting

Not (entirely) pay to play. This game is great. It is the only game I’ve ever played that I have actively played daily since launch. During that time I’ve seen a lot of improvements to this game, most positive. I disagree with pay to play. If you put in enough time, and do the right events, you hit a point where the game is giving you enough tokens (in game currency) and covers to keep yourself going. You can win new covers through gameplay or legendary covers that they hand out as you level your character. You get rewarded with new characters for leveling existing characters. Or for $10/month you can go VIP and get daily prizes. The reason I gave it 3 stars is as follows. The game needs to figure out what to do with extra covers. If you have a character that is not championed and you get a 6th cover in any one color, you have to get rid of it. This makes it very frustrating when you do not have enough iso to champion the character, or you have less than 13 covers in that character. I’ve had many circumstances where I’ve had to throw away a 4 or 5 Star card because I couldn’t use it. It’s enraging considering these are rare pulls. The ability to use these duplicate cards towards another color once you’ve hit 5 covers in a single color would be great. There are also times when I have an issue with the game. Getting a generic response from customer service is not the best treatment of customers, especially when it doesn’t solve the issue.

Great game but in game purchases lacking. I will start by saying I love this game. I play it daily. It is like candy crush for marvel fans. I hope the devs read this as my only gripe is a large one, I hate how hard it is to add characters and upgrade them. If you play a lot, You get to a point very quickly where you get the same characters over and over, and once they are champions you can’t upgrade them. So it becomes a fun game with no purpose other than to kill time. The in game purchases are expensive, and only give you a chance at a new character or an upgrade to existing characters in lineup. I could spend $100 and have no guarantee of a new character I don’t already have and can’t upgrade. So I could spend $100 and get nothing of use in the game. I have spent money only to walk away with purple iso that you can’t use. I have millions of purple iso waiting to upgrade characters that I can’t ever seem to get. Why can’t we buy individual characters? Or Tokens that guarantee you a new 3 or 4 star character? I would pay for those. But not paying $20 for a 1-25 shot at a new character. My odds may not be exact but you get the point. Thanks for listening. Please consider changes. Shards was a step in the right direction

An app that I like to support. This game is the most generous game I have ever played. Sure they offer packages that range from a couple bucks to a hundred but they are only there IF you want them. You never feel like you NEED them. They listen to user feedback and I can see changes in their updates that I (and I’m sure many others) have suggested. Whether it be improving the layout for your inventory or adding new characters they pay attention to the players. One thing that I will say is that it is a bit more difficult to start out as a free player now then it was a few years ago because there are so many new characters. When I started you could slowly increase your space for a new character but now the variety of awesome characters will make it hard for new players to know who to save and who to pass on. They often will delete a two star character (critical to be able to build from) for a single cover of a rare five star character who unfortunately doesn’t offer enough without more of those rare covers. The player has to make decisions and the best option often seems counterproductive. Of course there is always the option of spending a couple of dollars and adding a place for that new character but free players will get more covers faster then they can accumulate free gold to add a space. ‘‘Tis the curse of having so many characters and excellent drop rates. Still I support MPQ every month with VIP and buying packages because they never stop working to improve the game.

Great concept... but monetization steals the show. Update 2: the shards issues are in the past and I would have come to increase my score after certain UI updates... but then they ruin the token screens. Why? To make it convoluted and easy to make accidental payments. Please for the love of god change it back!!! Because of this my 1/5 remains Update: Shards continue to ruin this game. Replacing covers and giving me no championed progression rewards in return is truly screwed up. Still a 0.5/5 game I started playing not too long ago. I actually really loved the game. Ive been playing the game without spending money and it is very addicting and entertaining. However, with the removal of the bonus hero system for the card system, D3 is about to lose me as a player. It is another cheap shot at making it harder to get characters without spending money. The agressive monetization of the game is the only reason it one star instead of five. It makes it almost unplayable and barely fun with the new unlock system. Bring back bonus heroes please. And make the game less pay to play for us players who dont have the disposable income to pay to win.

highly enjoyable IF VIP. So the plus side is you dont have to pay for anything to get where you need to go in the game. You play through missions for characters, their covers for skills and to upgrade them, currency to level, etc. But eventually, you hit a cap of just a few characters before you even finish the prologue. At that point, you will ALWAYS be struggling between what characters to keep and what to toss because ALL your gold coins need to be going to extra slots and even then, you will never have enough slots for the amount of characters you get. So plus, always getting characters but also a fail in that the coins you have to grind for and you will never have enough. I HIGHLY recommend dropping money on the VIP (even if just once), it was unplayable for me otherwise. It gives you a bunch of coins that you can dump into slots so you have a good roster to work with. Plus the extra rewards dont hurt. This is also why i give it 3star, because it is HIGHLY difficult without that extra push. But not unplayable. If i had to recommend anything, im surprised we cant save team setups yet and, as a comic book collector myself, it would be nice to have a collection we could see of all the covers we had because you have to throw away a lot that arent as good as others. Maybe rather than throw away, toss in a binder and get a reward for completing the set?

Worst pay to play I’ve seen recently. Is it fun? Sure. It combines the relative mindlessness of matching with some cool hero powers that require team skill alignment and strategy. But here the deal - to add characters to your roster, even once you’ve “won” or “earned” them, it requires in game currency. And the cost goes up and up. If you have two heroes, it might cost 10 “coins” to add another hero but if you have ten or twenty (even if they are all one star, not five star rated heroes) and want to add another hero, now you are looking at 750 coins. Can you earn in game currency by playing? Yes. But be prepared to take weeks of very consistent tournament play … and even then, it can take longer to earn enough to open another roster spot. They throw a few coins at you here and there for additional rewards, but with the roster unlock so expensive, you can’t make much progress. Want to pay to get coins? Be prepared to shell out AT LEAST $20 EVERY TIME to get enough to add ONE HERO. Oh. And you’re on the clock - heroes you don’t add/unlock will expire after a given time. So if you’re a consistent player and have a decent roster, and you spend a lot of time in this game, and you manage to get a great hero that you’re excited about but can’t earn enough coins fast enough…tough crap. I don’t mind paying here and there for a game I enjoy. I know it costs money to develop and support these games. But this is ridiculous. And greedy.

2500!!!. 2500 the total number of consecutive days played. Never to miss a day even if overseas logged in on Wi-Fi. Currently I have 200 characters and the developers keep it interesting by releasing new characters. Not a dull moment. Daily, verses, story battles and rewards for all your fighting. Continuous enjoyment, excellent way to pass time, grow your roster, hard battles, comic covers and beautiful artwork. Do you have to pay no, I have not paid a penny. If you want to grow your characters faster and make battles easier there are paid options. The developers have done an excellent job with this game ..this is by far the best match three game I have played and it’s consistently kept my interest. A shout out to the developers for your great work and for keeping it free, thank you, also for giving us players another option other than FB to back up data.

Awesome game that just needs slight adjustments. I’ve been playing this game since it was released the only things that I still find frustrating are the amount of useless copy’s you receive through out the events the game offers, you play these events and when you receive a token for a prize specifically from that quest you play it and it winds up giving you a basic 1 star or 2 star character, I believe this should be changed for events make them a bit harder but in return provide winning prizes that give you a better chance of obtaining a 3 or 4 star character. I also think that after a certain amount of copy’s you should be allowed to trade them in exchange for other characters or supports even gold coins or you should be allowed to trade in your crystals for coins. I also would like to suggest secret wars as an event which I think would be perfect for the game and please come out with a 3 or 4 star juggernaut that character deserves some justice !

Absolutely addictive and very fun. I haven’t missed a day playing this game for nearly 2 years. You do not have to pay to be good at this game, however, it does take time and consistency to collect the cards you most desire. I gave 5 stars, but I do have one critique. The money you have to spend for tokens is outrageous. Just like any type of market...deals sell!! You just don’t give enough tokens for what your spending. I have spend 25 on tokens and literally didn’t get anything good or anything I could use. It’s like you gamble your money to get something you may not need or want. For that reason and that reason only I just purchase the VIP. I realize how big this game is and our clan is pretty dope and we communicate a lot so regardless I’m gonna play but we have all discussed this issue and an update for this would be very much appreciated and would keep long time players very in tune with this game. Thanks for a great game! However, all good things can become better in some way.

Best game I’ve ever played.. I’ve played this game for just over five years. You can play often or take breaks but when you come back, it’s easy to pick back up. They have packs ranging from $1 to $100 that you can choose to buy. I absolutely love how often the change the options you can purchase, while also sending a few freebies your way. This game is a great stress reliever when you’ve had a bad day. They’ve done a great job of not making it feel just like a matching game. They have different events for solo & alliances. There’s really so much to do! The developers are always working hard & adding new characters! My only downside would be how the same characters rule versus events. Once players find out the broken characters that work together well, if you don’t have them, don’t bother with versus. There is plenty to enjoy with this game and I will continue to play for as long as it’s available.

This game is legit. Look, the whole paywall and pay to play games should take note. If you choose to work hard for this game it pays off. This game is fun and easy to play if you’re not familiar with the Marvel Universe. Highly recommend it if you are tired of the same iron man and captain America centered tropes. The two knocks i have for this game aren’t even really that bad. 1: I’d love to be able to accumulate more space for more characters, I love the drop rates for rarer and legendary characters but it’s hard to get the hero points needed to upgrade my roster spaces. I’d love more opportunities for the points or event based rewards to increase my roster slots. 2: I’d really like some new storylines, it’s seems they recycle their storylines monthly and while it doesn’t bother me I’d just like to see something new once in a while.

Enjoy a lot! Not pay to play, but you may need to spend to really enjoy fully. This game is a wonderful take on the match 3 tile games. I love Marvel so that is a huge plus for me. The daily gifts and the rewards from the events allow you to progress in this game without having to spend money. That being said, you have limited roster space and have to spend the in game currency to unlock more roster spaces. You can get in game currency just by playing, but it takes time to accumulate and if you do get a really great character, you may have to sacrifice another character that you’ve poured a lot of resources into already. They have made some great changes so you don’t lose duplicate characters though which I highly appreciate. It reduces the pressure to have to spend money so you don’t lose those cards. Overall, this game is great and low pressure to play daily unlike other games. I definitely recommend for any match 3 and Marvel fan. Play at your own pace.

Great Game, More Campaign. This game is hands down my favorite mobile game. Any complaints I’ve had have been fixed or changed for the better. My biggest issue when the game first came out was the fact that it was impossible to upgrade characters, but then once milestones was added and character shards were introduced it made it much easier to build my roster without spending money. My only issue as of current is the campaign. I’ve been finished with that campaign for years now and only not that long ago was the worldwide web missions added. I just think adding some more campaign missions with an increased difficulty would be nice for the players who have been playing for a while. Other then that I’ve loved the game for a long time now and I’ll always be playing.

CHEATS!!. Been playing all types of games for most of my life. Never and I mean never have I played a game that cheats the player as obviously and maliciously as this game. This game is designed to cheat and screw you literally every time the A.I. makes a move. A round will boil down to you making a match and its usually a single match. Better go get a coffee, watch some TV, maybe even take a nap when its the AI’s turn. Every single time its a 10-20 hit cascade loaded with match fives and free turns. Then the following AI turn its 4-5 powers launched at you and then it gets its cascades right after that. You will usually get owned and destroyed by teams 15-20 weaker than you. The developers design the app this way to induce anger and rage so you then throw more money at the game to try and “improve” you roster. Its a waste of money. Nothing will ever make you better. The AI will just beat you into submission no matter how much better your team is. Bottom line is DO NOT SPEND MONEY here and delete immediately. You’ll thank me later.

Great game, but.... I really like this game, as it’s likely the best match 3 style game out there. But there are a few issues that I and others have. First, the AI cheats. Admin and support refuse to admit this, but it’s obvious. Enemy cascades are completely one-sided, especially in difficult levels or when the AI is losing. Also, certain powers choose “random” tiles to affect, and it’s almost always the least convenient placement for the player or most convenient for the AI. I can tell which “random” tiles will be chosen before firing the power with at least 80% accuracy. Not so random once you learn the patterns. Also, the support staff isn’t very helpful. I actually spent money in this game which I usually don’t do, so when I accidentally sold a character that was completely leveled up, I expected them to reverse it. Nope! Doesn’t matter that I supported them with my hard earned money, and it doesn’t matter that it costs them NOTHING to help me out, they just said no. Lastly, there’s never enough ISO8 (in game currency) to go around. I currently have a few dozen characters to level up, but I have to wait until I have enough ISO8, so leveling up characters gets harder as you collect more covers. Not a big deal, but you have to be careful how you spend it. I know I just bashed it a little bit, but other than that it’s a great game.

Solid game. Update: since my first review I discovered that I’d made a mistake. When events pop up you get to choose a start and end time. I didn’t realize that. That’s why I found myself with nothing to do. One can still have times where you’re waiting to heal and can’t play, but those times have become fewer. First, you don’t have to spend real money although there are many options to do so. This game requires thought to get your team together and find the best match. Things that bug me: when fighting the computer they always seem to get four+ matches and endless cascades. I mean it just gets stupid. Also, after finishing the prologue, you can only play this game for about twenty minutes or so before you’re out of heals and find yourself with nothing to do. This is endlessly frustrating and why the devs would make a game that I can’t play for as long as I want when I want kind of defeats the purpose of a “game”. That said, a solid four star game that you’ll want to play.

If you play; don’t pay. I know developers need to get paid, but in the long run it is not worth it to pay in this game, with one exception. This game is constantly be updated with new content, which sounds good but is not due to the way you level up heroes. As the hero roster increases, it becomes more difficult to level up a character as the chances to get a hero card decreases. Also, they have this horrible leveling system that forces you to sell duplicate hero cards and give you basically nothing in return. And it’s made even worse due to the limited number of heroes you can have at any time and that duplicate heroes, which you may need later, expire. Regardless of how much you pay, you need to grind, a.k.a. Play the game over and over again just for a few rewards. It's not fun to play the same thing 4 times in a row, then time it just right to play 2-3 more times. Then there's the cheating. The AI gets insane chains, especially when it's losing or you are denying it a color it needs. And what’s even worse and where paying is worth it, if you pay a monthly fee, the AI cheats less. So you need to pay for the game to not cheat! If you still plan to play, go to Reddit for tips. And if you aren’t going to pay, remember that you have a long grind ahead of you, so make decisions for the long haul and avoid instant gratification. E.g. do not open any legendary cards until you are in the 3 to 4 star transition.

Fix the upgrade/play system!. I love this game, I really do. The problem is that I can’t win any battle except for the beginning story battles of which I have completed a long time ago. The A.I. is way too powerful. It can obtain special moves and chains almost instantly while it takes me forever to get one special move. I am also getting pitted against way more powerful players/characters who win every single time. I can’t upgrade my characters because I can’t obtain any hero vault tokens. I can’t keep any characters I like because when I get a new higher tier character, I have to either delete a character I already have or I have to buy a new slot with hero tokens which are very hard to get unless you buy them. The A.I. also does 10x more damage than me and it has extremely long chains. I can’t advance at all unless I play for weeks and weeks or I spend $20. This is ridiculous. Fix the upgrade system and make the game easier to play, and don’t make the A.I. cheat when it’s losing because that happens often. As of right now I don’t recommend this game to anyone until adjustments are made! 😡

Have played almost since beginning. I applaud the new development team for “ catching up” on characters I have had since almost the beginning- but so many detrimental things also; including the sheer algorithmic drops for what you are playing- I make a 3 match, then they drop about 2-3 4 matches or more; no matter what i match-& always scewed to if make a match, then it’s taking away my tiles to benefit them😔 this not the “ puzzle” anymore. Just a beat down against what they drop -my powers are after the fact, & my supposed supports are though over 56 % in at least 1, only engaging 1 out of 4 times maybe-I have invested years & money into this game, playing fairly unlike the rampant cheating going on in hackers upgrading their levels; & if I joined now, would delete this game- “ auto fire” of powers? How does that help strategy? & the new Quandry event ( already 2 times in a row) is abysmal-this was a great game, & completely sad how it’s going

UI updates in R223. Previously, I would have rated this as a 5 star game. However, R223 which introduced an updated UI has degraded the game experience for myself and others. It feels like a change for the sake of change, without any thought out into matters such as accessibility. While the layout itself remains largely unchanged, the color scheme is not friendly to those with certain vision impairments. While I applaud the updated colors of the tiles, enemy tiles are difficult to distinguish, especially on black tiles. The darker tiles colors are welcome, but the lack of contrasts between the tiles, the black background and the icons on enemy tiles makes game play mistakes more likely, reducing the enjoyableness of the game. Also, the dimming of the whole screen during the opponent’s turn makes it harder to see what the AI is doing. A much better implementation would have been for the background to be a lighter color on the player’s turn and have just the background turn dark on the AI turn. And though not gameplay impacting like the other changes, aesthetically the purple background in the AP bar section is not pleasing, and I could see where someone with vision impairments may have trouble due to the lack of contrast between the purple background and several of the AP colors. This bar really should be a more neutral, contrasting color, like a light gray or silver.

Great game. I’ve been playing since the beginning. I think it was out for only a few months when I joined. I love the game, and have played just about every day since I started thanks to the Deadpool daily event. The only complaint I have is regarding the milestones. They didn’t exist when the game first started. It took a few years before they came out. The problem with them is how is old timers were punished for our collection. What I mean is that instead of us getting credit for many of the milestone requirements, which we already accomplished, we had to either re-recruit characters we already had, or delete them thereby forfeiting all our hard work to get them maxed out. I wish we wouldn’t been acknowledged for our loyalty instead of punished for it. Other than that this is my favorite game on mobile and probably will be forever. I love the way characters are released and how they use our opinions to that aim as well as others.

Recent changes have directly harmed players. This game is fun. But recent changes have been thinly veiled money grabs at the expense of player progression and fairness. The developer has recently introduced “solutions” to well known issues, but in truth, they’ve used these changes as an excuse to take away other player friendly features or reduce in game resources. If these solutions had been added to existing mechanics and not come at the expense of existing rewards, they may have actually been effective as solutions (while also allowing the developer to further monetize the game). As implemented, the solutions resulted in one step forward and too steps back. Poor implementation made the changes come across as dismissive of long time players and a pure money grab. It’s unclear if that was the intent of the developers, but at the least it indicates huge blind spots in their development process. Also, a note to the developers: touting the positives of a change in game play and trying to bury the negatives is not a good look. You will he found out and it further weakens built up goodwill in the player base. Trust is hard to earn, but easy to lose.

Amazing game.. This game has been off and on my radar a few times over the last few years. I finally settled on this game back in 2018 when I needed things to do while I was laid up in a hospital bed for a few months healing from a car accident. This game became a daily routine and since then it’s been almost a daily play. I use it for fun and also use it for cognition building as these games can help. It’s simply a fun game that lets you build great Marvel characters and work to beat your opponent and move up levels while acquiring more of what you need to keep going…all without spending a dime. If you do have money in your budget, you can move along faster but that’s up to you ($20 or so a month is all you really need to get some cool extras). If you like match 3 games or Marvel or both, this game is a must get. Another cool thing they do is they move along with whatever is going on in the comics and MCU so you don’t ever feel like the game gets stale. It’s a game collaborating with the actual Marvel Universe. They do that very well and the game is mentioned on the podcast “This Week in Marvel” almost weekly. Need a fun game with some unique twists from your average match 3 game, this is it.

Updated: Has gotten worse with time. Updated: the new design of the jewel grid is so terrible to look at that I don’t think I can keep playing this game. Why are y’all systematically making this product worse? I have been playing for over four years and have watched as aggressive monetization has overtaken what was once a fun and truly free-to-play game. As other recent reviews note, new characters are added at breakneck speed—when I started playing there were maybe a half dozen 5* characters and more than 50 3* characters. There are now nearly as many 5* characters as 3*, and there hasn’t been a new character added with less than 4* in years. To make matters worse, many recent additions are truly, TRULY broken (Karnak, Polaris, Kitty, and Beta Ray Bill being the standouts here) such that they dominate virtually all versus events. It seems like it can’t be possible that the developer HASN’T noticed this. In addition, the past few updates have mostly been steps backward from a UI perspective, particularly the changes to the recruit screen in the most recent patch. I also agree with the reviews that have mentioned the frustrating lopsided AI cascade algorithm, which has never improved over all the years I’ve been playing.

Fun, varied and engaging.. Ok I’ve been playing this for a good few years and still play it daily. Some of the events/challenges can be repetitive and I’ve got my favourites so some days I play less than others. But it is still varied enough. All these folk giving it 1 stars or griping because of the pay-to-play aspects are just being greedy and impatient. They want rosters similar to those that have played for a long time. Yes you can purchase items to help, but it’s not vital to playing the game. It just takes some time to build characters and the roster up. Over the years develops have improved the experience and seemed to listen to feedback. The chat feature for example - those that have played for a while will remember the crappy chat feature! They give freebies occasionally as well. Overall it’s a great game, great Marvel content, and time is the biggest investment needed.

Game gets worse all the time. Originally, the game was a beta. There were problems, but hey, it was a beta! There were mistakes, there were flaws, and they made changes to powers, and I wasn't always happy, but I understood it. Then the beta ended, and they changed core game concepts and abilities. Here is the thing, I am not griping because I want the game to be totally free, etc... I am griping because I understand that people need to pay for things, and I did! What makes me mad is that after paying for things, they changed characters powers. So once it was out of beta, and I thought things were set, the characters I paid to improve got changed. So basically, what I paid for is gone. This hasn't stopped. They keep changing things. The new characters are mainly stupid too. Where are the ones I want to see? Where are the other x-men? Instead we get squirrel girl? Come on! There are no other game modes. Everything is just the same thing, over and over. All good abilities have been nerfed, and only a few characters are even worth playing. So everyone is pretty much playing the same couple characters. This game is a train wreck. I wont spend money on it anymore because I don't trust them not to change the characters after I pay for them, and the drop rates for covers are terrible. Play anything, but don't waste time or money on this.

Something has changed. Used to LOVE (LOVE LOVE!!) this game but they’ve changed it recently and all of a sudden the amount computer combo moves are astronomical and in the Deadpool daily I’m now always being killed off by weaker computer opponents (thanks to combo moves and the opponents always magically getting enough gems to use their powers 2-3 times more often than I can use mine.) I’ve invested a few hundred dollars (at least) over the last couple of years and have been playing consistently and maintaining a VIP subscription in addition to purchases. But the game is frustrating now because of the cheats. Not fun and such a shame. Hate to walk away from the investment (and potential future purchases, Marvel!) but the game is no longer fun. Losing is not fun, fyi. Not sure what purpose that serves for the company or the player. Seems like a lose-lose. A shame. Used to be my go to game. Back to Candy Crush I guess 😒. I also have over 3mil in iso which is pretty much useless. Pretty sure the developers aren’t actually playing the game themselves. Oh well, from now on neither am I. Lose-lose.

Used to love it, now it’s just...meh. Used to put so many hours and too many dollars into this game. You get to a certain plateau where it’s nearly impossible to progress with putting money into. The % system for getting quality card or more ISO is awful. I’ve gotten more med packs in those drops than literally anything else. Made the game not worth playing anymore. A game like Marvel Strike Force does a great job of a balanced drops. You may not get what you want, but you’ll get something that has value. Getting ISO or Medpacks is relatively worthless when you’ve been working hard to get any of the better characters. I’ve written a note directly to support explaining this same thing, and they didn’t even give a response. Their probability generator is weak, and there are way better games in the market that are balanced in terms of time/reward ratios. The game is fun, therapeutic almost, but the awful drop probability straight up ruined this game for me. I wish I could give 3 stars even, but the fact that it’s never changed for the better in years make that tough to do.

Great game❗️. I’ve been playing for over two years now and I still play every day with no exception. I started playing over the summer two years ago when my father told me about this game and I didn’t really find it appealing at first but once you start to accumulate more characters to utilize it becomes much more enjoyable. It’s hard to get more characters after you have to spend 1,000 hero points for one slot. My dad got deployed to japan and this game is still in my life and reminds me of him when I play. I let other people open my legendary recruit tokens because I don’t want to be mad at myself if I don’t get a cover I didn’t really want😂. But overall if you like games that you can spend a few minutes playing every here and there and not really lose progress then you’ll probably really like this game. I hope if you’re reading this that you do decide to give it a try and I hope you enjoy it.

Great game, 2 feedback ideas after years of playing. This is a fun game to play. I play daily. It’s even more fun when you find an alliance that communicates and pushes events together. There are two things I would love to see improved. 1. It would be nice to be able to sort through other people’s roster just as you can your own. The rosters are quite large now so it would be nice to sort. 2. The AI’s turn takes a long time to complete. Wait for automated tile movement, wait for countdown tiles to count down, wait for any other random thing, wait for attack tiles to go off, wait for them to do their move, then finally wait for it to show you their AP gain. As a veteran player this is just annoying. Perhaps this could be done as normal in the campaign to show people what happens every move, but after that I feel there should be a way to speed this up.

awesome, free, FUN - unnecessary graphic updates. EDIT: not a fan of the last update. switching from my powers bar to the enemy's powers bar (which is actually flashing, no less) between turns is extremely distracting and totally unnecessary. I could already check their buildup when I wanted to. A lot of the upgrades introduce completely needless graphic bling that slows the game. My go-to game when I have a few minutes! It's endlessly fun, and although you could spend money on in-game purchases, I never have. Frequent fixes make it crash-free for me. Really fun. At one point, my save game file became corrupted, but customer support restored it and I was gaming again the same day. Patch upgrade addressing the issue was in the App Store within a week. At any point that it starts to feel like I'm grinding to get somewhere, I know I've been playing for too long. It's just a cell game, after all. Don't get goal-obsessed, avoid micro transactions and have FUN!

Adding heroes. No problems except it's difficult adding roster spots to add new people. Edit: Almost every new character is a 4 or 5 star. Upgrading your roster is very tedious, on the slim chance you actually get the needed covers for your roster. Using command points for legendary is laughable. It ignores the roll chances it says. In the span of 4 weeks, all the classic legends and latest legend pulls via CP or tokens total out to about 35 covers. I have gotten only one 5 star cover and the rest were 4 star. With the remaining 4 star covers, maybe 1/9 were covers for someone on current roster. Even with 2 star covers, you will likely pull the a character not your roster multiple times until you actually add them. After adding the character, it will decrease future chances to get it again. The same goes for the other character tiers. Hope the team can devise better methods for players to efficiently invest their command points instead of paying for the covers in the offers page.

New UI makes it virtually unplayable. Aesthetics aside, the dark tiles on an even darker screen makes it much harder to tell the colors apart; my eyes are straining to suss out what color/type of tile it is, which is giving me headaches and slowing my play way down. The lack of color contrast also makes it inaccessible for people who are colorblind or otherwise visually impaired. The narrower power bars make it harder to see when I have enough AP to fire a power because they don’t catch my attention as well. And the screen darkening even more on the opponent’s turn makes it so I can’t see what they’re doing or plan my next move. If you’re going to have a darker screen (which really should be a toggle switch for night mode, not the default mode) you have to make the colors for the tiles and AP/health bars a lot brighter. And really, there was nothing wrong with the play screen before. This makeover was completely unnecessary. I’m a commander of an alliance and a bunch of my players are already threatening to quit because they literally cannot play with this new UI. I’m a VIP player and I spend a lot of extra money on top of that, but I will no longer pay unless this is fixed.

Get good, it’s worth it!. Easily, the best match-3 game I’ve played in a long awhile. Though the formula for the foundation is the same as any other Puzzle Quest, the method to work out team synergy and ability rotations to max out damage is surprisingly in-depth for a puzzle game. I’ve cracked a couple times and paid a little bit, but we’ve all wasted a minimum of $40 on a PlayStation game for about 6 hours of gameplay and watch it gather dust. You can play this for FREE. Monetizing helps, but by no means necessary. What is more important is maxing out your 1* and 2* characters to farm 3* and coins for more roster slots, and if you want to win, GIT GUD. So many people complain about whales but those people have the worst team builds. A fitting 3* is way more important than just getting the rarest covers. You can consistently get top 10 if you strategize and put in the effort. Or if not, getting a team of Howard the Duck, Spider-Gwen, and Deadpool has always been hilarious fun. Lol.

Freaking love this game. I have played this game for years. It’s actually what got me into marvel as a kid. It was free and a lot of fun. I do my best to support the game from time to time because they do such a good job of making sure you don’t have to spend money. I got my girlfriend to get the game as well and she is loving it too. You get much more when starting now then back when I did which I think is good. While MPQ does an amazing job of listening to their users…my only complaint about the game is that you can’t share covers. I want to be able to trade covers with my friends so that I can help my gf level up her 3 Star Dr. strange that I’m not gonna use my cover for. I know we have been begging for a thing like that for years and we probably won’t ever get it. But that is my one complaint

Fun but hard reach past a certain point. I’ve been playing this game for a few years. While it’s fun to pick up and just play, it’s hard to get past a certain point. If you want to reach the upper tier, you have to pay money. I’ve done that, no complaints. $5 here and there. I guess the couple of suggestions I would ask is that something be figured out about the excess iso-8 I have. Aside from leveling up heroes, it just sits there. And I receive TONS of it for prizes. I’m currently pushing 800k iso. Maybe trade it in for covers or something? Second would be to add another story to the prologue. Maybe tie the first suggestion into it? For example, spend iso to restart the prologue. When my heroes are too injured to fight in a vs and I’ve gotten the max amount of points I can get in story, there’s not much left to do. Doing the prologue over, with prizes again, would be fun. Just a thought

Time for a v2.0. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE this game. Loved it since I first downloaded it many many years ago and still play it to this day. It’s fun, creative way to play as super heroes using this genre of game is really awesome. But 2 things: First, why did you change Venom’s comic cover to the skrull cover? This is minor, I know but a nitpick that I want to bring up because his Venom #1 should be THE cover to define him in this game as it was in the beginning if you’re planning on sticking with this game for many more years… which brings me to #2: I think it would be awesome to do a brand new game for MPQ. Marvel Puzzle Quest 2. Bring some new event concepts, etc. Dark Reign was so long ago and I think it’s time for a refreshing new take on the game with sharper, nicer, more advanced graphics/art. It doesn’t have to change too much in terms of gameplay. I feel like it’s been pretty spot on. Graphics upgrade would be fantastic, though.

Great Game but needs better version support. This is a great game that I have played about 3 months worth now. It’s a lot of fun and the strategy and hero collecting makes for interesting gameplay and fun collecting. Getting a new hero (or villain) and finding ways to incorporate their powers into a team is interesting. The thing that prevents me from giving this game 4 or 5 stars is that there isn’t any proper iPad support. The game really needs landscape support in iPad (a style already available on the steam version of the game) and at the very least proper scaling for the portrait mode. There are essentially black bars on the sides of the game on iPad because it’s just a blown up iPhone version not a proper iPad upscale. The other thing is that the early game is very slow as you need to get roster spots to get new heroes. This is done by either being very patient and slowly gaining Hero Points to buy roster spots or just paying real money for HP to get those roster spots. The early game is unforgiving in this way and I think balancing the game to not encourage early spending would be better and possibly attract more players to stick with the game.

Please sir, I want some coins.. The game is very fun, I have always liked puzzle quest games and I like the Marvel theme. I am also a sucker for collecting and I like the random draws of characters, however this is also the core problem for me. The amount of coins it takes to unlock a single slot for a new character is ridiculous and they give you very few opportunities to earn coins without buying them. It currently requires 500 coins for me to unlock one slot and I’m lucky if I earn 15 coins in the game. I don’t mind spending a little money in the game and I have, but they need to give more coins consistently as prizes and daily bonuses or keep the price of new slots closer to 200 without raising it constantly. At the very least, for the number of character tokens you get they should remove the expiration time of characters that you haven’t recruited yet so you can at least slowly work towards unlocking the characters over time instead of desperately trying to get coins or selling characters you would have liked to keep before they expire.

Great game, one suggestion. This is a great game and I have seen many improvements over the 2 and 1/2 years I’ve been playing. The “shards” improvement has been one of the best. I have one suggestion. Instead of shards being designated to specific characters, I suggest that shards be designated to a star level and the user can distribute them to the character they choose. For example, instead of 6 shards for 3-star Cyclops, I just receive 6 3-star shards. Once I get 300, I can choose which character I want to use them for. Please consider that suggestion. I think it would be a great improvement. PVP needs to be improved. A new consideration for PVP would be to not allow someone to be attacked while they are engaged in a PVP battle. It gets frustrating when you’ve won a battle for 50 pts and find out that you’ve lost 120pts while you in a battle. You can’t win fast enough to keep up with the losses.

Fun game...when it behaves fairly.... Had an older review I’d been periodically updating that got erased...maybe someone didn’t like what I had to say? I’ll keep it short this time.. 1. Great game, lots of fun, very addicting 2. Characters are great, powers are cool, much more engaging than other match 3 type games But... 1. Game behavior drastically skewed against the player, particularly with board patterns for the player vs patterns for the computer. 2. Distribution of covers needs improvement, almost impossible to catch up to people who dump real cash into the game to power up characters 3. Game behavior will almost always counteract any strategy the player implements. Examples are match chains that immediately fill the computer’s ability meter, the computer suddenly attacking with a string of powers followed by a match chain to refill ability points and a decline in gems on the board necessary for the player to build up their own ability points. Programmers have responded to me previously and stated that the board and computer gem matches are “random”, but the fact that more often than not I am able to predict the computer’s next move after mine is evidence to the contrary. 4. Programmers should work on improvements to player experience and leveling out the difficulty rather than aesthetic improvements that cause the game to lag, such as in the most recent update.

Da mommas. Devs do listen well done. Past feeders allowed us as players to acquire next level characters for free. D3 has been stingy as of late to release them and with this update they decided to finish all of the ones that haven’t been fed yet. As a player base we were very excited about this. With this update came a new method of feeding called shards. Which is a nice way to acquire neutral colored covers. With the feeders we received significantly less than what would typically be given and it’s sad tbh. We as a player base spend a lot of our hard earned money into this game and the significance of a few extra covers doesn’t make a big difference tbh. But it’s just another way that D3 seems to screw over the top players that help build this game. D3 could easily give these covers out to appease the player base and it would make a very little impact on the game.... what gives D3?

This game is Fun and you do Not have to pay. I’ve been playing this game for awhile now, and while I admit that I often find certain things about it frustrating, this game can very easily be played and enjoyed for free with no ads interrupting. Yes, it can be hard getting started but thats part of what makes it fun, it continues to challenge you and come out with new content regularly. I will say that finding the covers you need becomes increasingly difficult with the number of variations on the same characters and the more stars a character has the more difficult it is to get more than one cover for them. I recommend to new players that you stick with the characters your getting covers for in the beginning because those dark avengers covers will advance quickly to powerful characters. Something I did not realize at the time. The game also gives you a ton of ISO which as you advance starts stacking up in a ridiculous way because you cant use it for much of anything. I’m not a huge fan of the new thing you can equip to characters as I don’t find them to be very valuable but truthfully if you just want to enjoy a game and have fun then this is a great game for you.

Great, but.... I love this game and I’ve been playing it for awhile under multiple accounts on and off. The game is great. I do wish that some of the challenges were easier for a newer account and harder for an experienced account simply because while you’re at a low level it’s hard to break past the difficulties and once you do the game becomes simple. This would give a fair game play experience throughout. The largest reason for this review happens to be the fact that I can no longer buy 500 iOS packs from the character store. This was honestly the easiest way for new people to rightfully earn good characters. They play all the games and are rewarded with iOS and once saved up, they can buy tons of iOS character packs to receive better characters. This is the biggest let down that I have seen in this game’s progression. I want to see the iOS packs come back. Some people (or even yourselves) May have thought it made the game easier, which it did, but it game people a chance to do something with the outrageous amount of iOS that we are given.

Developers need to think. It's a fun app, character building gives it a nice aspect but the developers seem to think flooding the game with higher level characters (4* and 5*) is a good idea. The problem is that it makes it nearly impossible to build a complete four or five star character. Then if you should luck upon a coveted five star you probably won't get another cover for that character any time soon. The game is weighted to players who have been playing the longest when there were fewer characters. They were able to build those and have stronger teams. Due to this the same players tend to come in first in most events and tournaments which gives them high level rewards which again makes them even stronger. The developers actually need to play the game from scratch to get an understanding of how frustrating this is. Furthermore, while the probability of AI tile cascades is supposed to be adjusted to be lower it doesn’t bear out in the game with the AI routinely receiving a greater ratio of tile cascades. The Deadpool Daily has been glitched for two years with the same issue and after multiple emails to the developers they have yet to resolve it.

Been playing 4+ years.... ... and still love the game, playing it every day! (Day 1584) Like any game things are easier when you pay. But that’s mainly in the beginning. And that’s only if you want to progress faster or challenge other well-established players and teams. If you just want to play events and collect covers, you can. You can select the difficulty level for an event even one below your current ranking, if that’s what you need. I’m at a point or I can get the 4-star cover progression reward for almost every event. I still can’t effectively challenge the top teams in PVP, I but that’s OK since it’s not necessary for the game (or me). It’s one of the few games that I felt the need less and less to pay to play the longer I played. Of course at first it took patience and perseverance and the need to resist the desire to have to progress to the top so quickly. I’m glad there are events that are pretty easy and those that are very hard, so it’s not too discouraging nor boring. I’m still experimenting with different combinations of players and teams. I will admit that like many it seems like the AI cheats, because he gets so many more combinations of matches than I ever do. (I call the AI “Sir Hacksalot”.) But most of the time I am a way stronger team than his so I can forgive it.

Wonderful. A great Match 3 with some interesting strategy elements involved via team building and picking heroes with powers that complement each other. While you *can* pay to win, you can also earn an incredible roster of characters without spending a dime. I have about 60 characters and I think I have spent about 5 dollars total, just to unlock new character slots on my roster early on. Given how many hours I have put into the game, this is an incredible value. It has daily missions you can do, so the game can be something you grind away at, or something you spend a little time with each day. It will fit your needs. My only nit pick is that the computer AI is bad, and it will do things that no human player would ever do, like creating power tilrs then immediately matching them, or letting you bait it into making matches that leave the board state in your favor since it will always prioritize a match 4. Even over a match 5.

Cheating vs trying. I’ve read reviews and complaints, from concerned players that believe other players are cheating in some way. That is not the case. What is happening is the developers insert “cheat” algorithms, which cause the game “board” to consistently favor the AI. One example, of many, is: Player created special tiles will almost always form in an easily accessed location that the computer can match away within a couple of rounds. Meanwhile, AI generated special tiles will form in difficult to impossible to reach sections of the board. The desired effect is to deceive players into believing that their roster isn’t strong enough and they must throw money at the problem to fix it. However, the stronger the player and roster, the harder the game cheats to balance out. For those, who have read this far: Do not be fooled. If you must play this game, understand it will cheat. If you want to spend money on it, do so but only because you want to; not because you have some tragic hope that it will help you

Pay to Win Extreme. Day1 of play and you will be matched against people far far above you, like 3 chars with 1,000 hp vs 3 chars with 20-30,000 hp Forcing you to pay $ to try to catch up Avoid this game

Entertaining even if you’re not a marvel fan. Took me a while to understand but it’s lots of fun. Only lost stars because it takes more than a year to fully collect certain 4star characters which are the most fun, a little bit drawn out and long even if you spend money

Fantastic Game. Absolutely love this game, best match 3 style game I have played.

Great but SUPER expensive. Great game, but Let’s get it right Game Designers. If a Full Game costs say 100 Dollars for PS4 or XBox than this will cost a user 1000’s to be playable. You penalize the Gamer by charging more for Hero point at every next slot. If this game is for 9 years old you are teaching gambling at its worst. Hugely disappointed.

Review. It’s one of those combat bejeweled games which is fine...except for unlocking characters, it’s confusing on what I can/can’t get and numerous currencies I have no idea how to obtain make it even more confusing.

One of the best mobile games. been playing on and off for a few years but recently got way back into it and realised that it is a very fun, manageable game to play

Good fun. Good fun up to 800 something days straight

Really good if you have a good roster. Great game and also great events with loads of new characters and new features that make it a better experience and challenge!

Pay to win. You can’t get anywhere without paying. If it were a little more subtle with the pay to win would be a fun game.

Very Addictive. The most Addictive game I've ever played, Awesome Game and the customer support is second to none. 😊👍👍

Banned for no reason. I really enjoyed this game. I once accidentally misclicked and bought $100 of packs. When i asked for a refund i received the money back. BUT then my account was banned and i cant join online multiplayer games or join an alliance. Very strange customer service 😩

Support for iPad substantially reduced. The gameplay is pretty good, and there are some interesting choices to be made. There are multiple issues that mean I can not recommend this to new players. A) there is no way to catchup without spending real cash (I am talking in the tens of thousands of dollars region). B) all new updates are designed to squeeze extra money from players C) the latest update has reduced the playable screen size of the game on iPads by 25%, and the devs have stated that this change is intentional and shall not be rectified. At this time the game is in the final stages of a free to play game, where every update is designed to squeeze the maximum possible revenue from the product with the minimum possible investment from the developer. Please do not download this game.

Tim. Been playing for many years and love the game

Spectacular. I’ve been playing this game for years now and the longer I play it the more I fall in love with it. I can’t find any problems with the game, nothing is broken that it ends up ruining the experience, so many characters to choose from that I’ve ended up learning new characters I didn’t know and that classic match 3 gameplay but with such a twist it’s a completely different game. You guys have put a lot of effort into making this game so amazing and all the high ratings and positive reviews are definitely earned. Love you guys and keep doing what you’re doing.

Disappointed can no longer view comic covers. They recently removed the ability to view comic covers without overlays coving up the artwork. Disappointing :(

Data gone. Been playing the game for years yet has decided to wipe all my data and I can’t get it back. Can’t say I’m impressed with it. Received no help when contacting support either. Shame as it was a great and fun game to play.

The once a day game.. I have been playing this game for around 5-6 years now at least once a day I login and play a round and collect my daily rewards then I’m out, I haven’t spent a cent on this game and I have some of the best characters and at max level in some cases, it’s just the game I play once a day and it’s not bad for a mobile game.

Worst game ever made. Do not download this game, it is a ripoff. The only way to get good characters or to level up your characters is to pay money. It says free, but the entire basis of getting stuff in the game is by loot boxes aka gambling. All you get from these loot boxes are low level characters you will never use, even if you pay money for a chance at a loot box. The makers of this game are con artists and should be ashamed of themselves for takings money from kids.

Finally new 3*. It’s been years upon years of new 4 and 5* every new card has been 4 or 5* it’s nice to see finally a new 3* hopefully there will be more coming soon not every new marvel movie has to be 4 or 5* how about more 2 n 3*s in the future was starting to give up on there ever one’s been playing the game for 7+ years

Unplayable. Tried to play through the tutorial after a recommendation from Marvel Insider. Am stuck at a point where it is asking me to use an in game item that I do not have and can not obtain. After trying to delete the app and start over I contacted support as this did not work and was told the only fix is to factory restore my phone. What a joke. I’ve played many iOS games and this is certainly a first from a lazy support team. If this is a glimpse of things to come, I don’t think I want to complete the tutorial.

Great game for patient people. Probably one of the best match 3 battle games ever made. I’ve been at it for over fours years now. It looses a star because it has gotten too big. It is a victim of its own success in that because the roster of available characters has become so large, it is almost impossible for new players to level up characters. Just getting to the point where they can get all the daily rewards will take years of grinding. The hardest daily match has set character requirements and even with four years of team building there comes days where I can’t do it because I don’t have a character. To be fair I’ve not been making an effort to get new characters either. Even going down the money path it would be hard. I spent money on this back when the drop rates were better and it was hard enough then.

Disappointing after each update. The devs continue to make the game harder, characters abilities weaker (nerfing), rewards for in-game ranking worse and rewards for completing games worse. Baffling how this continues to happen with each update making gameplay less enjoyable.

Don’t buy in!. Don’t get sucked into this game, they make it so hard, so you’re forced to spend money to get anywhere. And don’t forget Disney has a habit of cancelling games without any reason or monetary recourse, that’s my opinion.

Improved graphics and frame rate. The improved graphics and frame rate in the latest release adds a much needed level of polish to the game that in no small way adds to overall player enjoyment. Now if we can just get a landscape mode... 🤔

Newest update. Love this game, but hate how when it has an update it forces you to update before you can play. And it's telling me to update but when I try to update it only gives me option to open so I can't play! And can't access customer support due to only being able to click on "ok " to update grrr do frustrating.

This game hates you. Avoid at all costs.. This game will pretend to be fun for the first few hours/levels and tell you that you can build whatever team you want but in reality if you don’t accept every character they give you you won’t have high enough level characters to win the dark avengers story. The skill curve goes from fighting 3 level 40 characters at once, which is kinda manageable if you have 3 characters above level 40 with all 3 of their individual moves sets unlocked, to fighting one character that’s level 140 and can eliminate you’re entire team with one move. Even if you accepted all of the character unlocks in the earlier story missies and had them all upgraded I’m certain the final lvl140 would be impossible to beat without buying higher level characters. I will never understand why so many mobile games make you feel like you shouldn’t want to play it. They want you to hate the game until you buckle and fork over stupid amounts of money just to keep playing.

Fun But Roster Issues Hinder the Experience. Being a massive fan of Infinite Interactive’s Puzzle Quest Series, Marvel Puzzle Quest is the perfect mashup of two of my favourite genres - almost! The game has an impressive roster of heroes and villains from the Marvel universe but only offers you limited slots on your roster. To buy more slots, you need to spend a currency known as Hero Points which isn’t exactly handed out like candy. What’s worse is the more slots you keep buying, the higher the price required. For additional slots, I need to spend 1000 Hero points which is exorbitant. In the beginning it was manageable but now you get a new character released every few weeks which creates two problems: the Hero slot issue I mentioned and the probability of getting a cover for a Hero you want or have drops due to the amount of other heroes in the potential draw. I can’t really recommend this game at the moment due to this issue.

Needs one to one chat. Would be better with 1-1 chat but still exceptional! Can't stop playing love the game. I have spent a lot but played for 6months totally free and still loved it.

Bitter Sweet. I love the extensive range of Marvel characters, although the limited amount of Iso-8 (hero points) available means you have to neglect most of them.

Don't waste your money. It's a fun game, but you have to spent a bundle of cash to be competitive. Don't waste your time

Confusing and too much lights!. All I see in this game is colourful flashes!! I don’t know who is attacking or when can the character do special attack the flashing light just takes everything away

The best!. This is the best mobile game on the store. Super fun, super addictive!

I can’t update the app??. I want to play, game is cool and good. But it’s just that I can’t play bc it’s says I need an update, can’t get the update though.

Complain. Spectacular game... I’ve been playing this game for 5 years already. And I like it so far. The only thing I have to complain is that the most common award is ISO-8, I already have to much and I cannot do much with that, and the heroic covers are always 2 stars covers, that at the some point is useless, make sure you improve this cuz I cannot make growth my roster. Thanks

Pay to win mobile game. Shame.. Like the title says. You can't play this "free" game without shelling out cash

Good work on keeping people away from playing this game. I play this game every once a while, every time I open it, it tells me there is a update available, and forces me to update it. While waiting I start to play something else on my phone and forget about it. Two weeks later, the thing happens all over again :)

Needs Modernising. Fun game but with the existence of amazing 3D games on mobile, the styling seems heavily outdated. The top should have at least 3D animation to show battles taking place.

Game would constantly freeze. With limited moment of the puzzle pieces and quite frankly ugly designs for said pieces (which i find a big deal, yes the main draw is the marvel characters who do look amazing but you’re going to be staring at the matching screen majority of the game play) Give this one a huge miss, I don’t see it appealing to any hardcore marvel fans or casual fans unless you’re encouraging 8 year olds to play this sort of app for brain developement.

Unable to connect - constantly asks for internet connection. Since the latest update, the game will not connect. It states ‘check internet connection’. Please provide updated app

The best game. Finally I’ve got a game that I can enjoy

25% more grind now. Requires a lot of effort to progress and 5 stars a grind to level. Been playing for years and the grind is getting harder. Tend to use few characters to just get games done. Characters hit and miss so hard to get motivated to chase chars you will rarely use. Tending towards marvel strike force these days while it has its flaws gives more variety

what gives?. sometimes when I win bonus items (characters/coins) i don’t actually receive them

Best puzzle game ever. The best puzzle game I have ever played

Great Stress Relief. Great way to unwind after a busy week, while getting your Marvel fix.

Really Fun. There not to much to say it like um candy crush with marvel characters

NP with anything. Covers are completely viewable on last screen of each character (keep going right in hero info). You CAN play for free np, just learn how to play this awesome game. Love this game, I can play for hours but if I only have 5 minutes I can still jump on and squeeze in a great battle :)). Coolest game for marvel superhero fans!!

Great, addictive game but.... Too many characters means you need more hero points than are available in gameplay. Once again the freemium model leaves a bad taste

Great game. Great game but once you finish the milestone quests there are fewer rewards to look forward to regularly. Would be 5 stars if the milestone quests scaled infinitely.

The super hero version. Dear MPQ, A feedback for the latest update (version 223). The colours of the tiles are hard to recognise by colour blind people. It would be great if tiles have more contrast colour. Thanks, Your loyal player

Latest Release takes forever to load. Great game but the latest version has a really long load time. Where I am is bandwidth limited, meaning it often times out. Given up playing for now due to excessive load times.

Bad new interface. Wasting space with duplication while also complicating the Home Screen.

Revert the make over... I love this game. I’ve been playing it on and off since high school. But this new update... DAMN. As a designer I can appreciate that the make over took a long time including the coding but it is simply awful..... instead of just saying it’s awful, here is some of my observations in just two short matches: there is such low contrast that it misses the mark. I see how you wanted to make it more trendy with it being more “flat” but it lacks the important contrast that is needed to make it 1) actually trendy 2) actually useable. A perfect example of this is with the yellow powerup... not sure if it wasn’t tested or what... you legitimately cannot see the little idk what it is that makes it known that it is ready to be used. Also, the way the graphics were before were great. They fit the theme of the infinity stones (have that vibe) and the graphics were more powerful. This game doesn’t need to be “trendy” in its graphics, it’s better suited for the game as well as the target market to revert back to the previous visuals. The new visuals are so hard to see, I cannot imagine being someone who has visual impairments trying to play this game. Between the low contrast, and the quick and small movements to give feedback (like the hints for what to match) are too small and quick. As well they don’t make sense. It looked like my one jewel moved in the OPPOSITE direction of where the match actually was. I would highly suggest that before hitting the drawing board for a redesign to fix this mess, to recode and revert back before trying to fix it. This is unsustainable this is literally all my team could talk about today. Quite honestly, it’s so hard to see and I hate it so much that am not sure if I will play until there is an update that reverts the look. The ONLY good thing I can say about this update is that I liked how you darkened the board when it is the opponents turn.

Really fun. Like it

Played every day for 7 years, the a horrible update.... I loved this game for daily distraction and slow but sure progression. Just the right balance of strategy and simple matching. But this last update made the tiles difficult to see, the constant dimming and brightening gives me a head ache, and it’s hard to tell when you have a power ready to fire. The overhaul, which seems to be randomly aesthetic, makes the game unplayable. Why on earth did they not test on people with different sight issues? Even if they fix it, I’ve lost my loyalty to a designer that doesn’t think about older eye sight, light sensitivity, colour blindness or a simple range of users.

Chasm makes the game boring. Chasm has made the game boring. I’m done

Cool. Gfffhhh

ISO useless. Nothing to spend ISO on fix your game pay to play

Your Opinion Matters to Us. Sorry but i don’t believe it anymore we’ve been complaining and pleading for months now for you to drop those UI changes they ate horrible and make our life and playing experience a disaster. This is just your politically correct answer. You’re driving us away.😢

New Visuals Are Horrible. I have been playing this game for years and enjoy it. I cannot stand playing the new darker visuals and hope that they change it. I don’t think that I can keep playing if the visuals stay like this.

Great game. Great game but can be slow moving at times with the introduction of AIM and Sentinel characters...flow of game hurt by this so I dropped to 3 stars...still enjoy it

The game Hardlocked me. When I got to the page where it asked me to put in my username, it wouldn't work. Basically, I would type my name and it wouldn't show up in the bar for inputting the name. This might be because I'm on ipad. Not sure.

Yay. Great

:). amazing game with constant updates. nothing rlly buggy and it never gets boring

Thank you. Just wanted say thank you for breaking Facebook backup and restore functions. After spending lots money to unlock slots and moving to new phone and can’t restore my roster on 75 players. I will no longer spend any more money on this app.

New update. Puzzle board is way too dark I can up the brightness on my device but then I’m blinded once it leaves the puzzle board

Update sucks. The new UI in battles is the worst. It's so dark and I can barely see anything I'm doing. And to make it worse it darkens it more when the enemy makes a move. Barely playable

No place to spend the purple iso. I don’t know where to spend it

Very unappealing gameplay. It’s not very flowing and I wish there was more appealing action with the abilities. It felt very staggering and even when I won just the small box saying you won is not very appealing at all.

Great!. I was looking at some of the other reviews that were 1 star, I think they are just plain wrong

Pretty good. I like the game but after playing for a while it gets kind of boring

Bad update. The newest update with the battle screen changed is really bad! The old one was way better this one just hurts to look at

Love it!. I’ve been playing MPQ for YEARS now, and I’ve always loved the game. I was really impressed seeing that the devs responded to so many complaints about the new tiles so quickly. I did not expect any response at all for my review. It’s also just a super fun game in general. I’ve tried many Marvel mobile games over the past 6 or so years but this is the only one that has stuck. MPQ is an amazing game and I highly highly recommend it to anyone!

Disastrous update. The new graphical update is causing nausea and headaches for many players. Colourblind players can no longer play the game since the graphical update either. They need to roll this back ASAP.

Fun game BUT... There are a couple things that the developers have yet to fix: 1. Autocomplete keyboard doesn’t work in chat. When used, it abruptly cuts off the word you were trying to type. 2. After playing for at least 3 years, I have accumulated so much ISO-8 that it’s pretty much worthless. There is nothing to buy except for boosts before rounds.

Critique. Game is set up fairly well. Close enough to be fun It is repetitious and getting to guessable. Get some new playing rhythms

Matches are broken. More comments on the latest ‘puzzle mode’… it’s NOT a puzzle when player moves don’t matter. It’s a test of patience. Do I try enough times to finally get lucky ?? Find that 1% chance that I don’t just get destroyed? How about making a puzzle game instead of a Random Number generator… I want to ‘play’ a game.. ie- my decisions matter… being smart matters… What I don’t want to do.. is sit here and roll a dice until I get the magic number… Is D3 unable to actually make games?? Do they realize they are supposed to be fun and interactive?? This app has turned into complete garbage :( If they ever fix it, I would give them money again, as I have in the past. But the broken mess of garbage that it now is, is not worth a dime… why would anyone pay for this garbage??! I addition to this.. there is no support and the developers lie to the players.. I hope marvel pulls the license at this point. They don’t deserve to continue to ruin this IP :( You would think a marvel game would be good, not total and utter garbage.. especially seeing they have had 5+ years to fix it.. they just don’t care.. why make a game when it’s easier to just shovel crap?? The developers really need to fix the broken matches in this game. It is no longer possible to win matches :( the AI just destroys your face every match… I’ve been playing for 5+ years, and this last week has gotten so atrocious that I am ready to quit. I was unable to clear the DPD yesterday because the computer just repeatedly raped my face :( Does not feel good, is not fun, does not encourage me to spend money, or to continue playing. FIX YOUR F*N GAME ALREADY!! Basic review - game is mostly broken, atrocious color schemes to look at, UI doesn’t function properly, gameplay is broken and lets ai cheat, rate of game additions is so fast your wallet will wonder whats happening. Purchases in the game give very little benefit at all. You can spend hundreds on a new character and not even be able to win a match with them. Broken product, do not waste any time or money! Addition : So the developers still refuse to fix bugs in the game. Bugs that arose 6 years ago that they said where being fixed continue to go un-addressed with support no longer even acknowledging they exist (I had to show them posts from their forums from their employees talking about the bug for them to believe me). These developers are a joke! They don’t know how to program, they can’t fix bugs, and they don’t have a clue about game balancing. This is a money grab, nothing more. All the attention goes into ‘selling’ new characters, nothing goes into addressing problems in the game that have existed for years and years. In particular, the game itself is broken and cheats. The computer will generate extra matches for itself and deny you any colors that you need. That is their idea of ‘difficulty’, cheating.... I wish marvel would give this IP to a company that cared about its customers, and its product. My review of this game has gotten worse and worse over the years as they have made it worse and worse. I kept hoping for some improvement, but it is clear that there will never be any. DO NOT SUPPORT this worthless development team until they show some minor care for their player base. They are just thieves trying to get into your wallet. Marvel really needs to look at this and shut this crap down. It’s tarnishing their name. (Review from last year sometime, bugs have not gone addressed of course) - And still bugs go completely unaddressed by the developers. Sad how they do not have the skill to fix their broken game :( Things where fun 5years ago, but have steadily declined as the app’s problems are ignored by developers. Their idea of ‘fixes’ is to change the color scheme to atrocious pink+yellow (literally hurts my eyes). Blows my mind that anyone spends a penny on this game. But to the end, kudos to the developers for milking the players out of their hard earned money. I return every few months to try and determine if they have fixed bugs.. there is a lot here that ‘could’ be good. Alas, it just isn’t going to be while in the hands of DemiUrge. Marvel should find real developers to handle their IP’s. Ones that care about the players and game more then just a means to try and steal our money. I can’t believe they keep adding features that no one wants or cares about. Well, I suppose we do care, since it made everything f’n worse! And through this all, will they fix bugs? Nope, after discussions with CSR, was told the bugs were to complex for their engineers to fix, even when given 5 years to do so. When will you just call the bugs features? Since it’s obvious you are unable to fix them. I mean better would be to hire (assign?) a real engineer for the task, but it’s very clear now that that’s not really an option. Anyhow, recent set of changes makes the game very confusing, good luck to anyone who wants to try and pick it up at this point. It’s pretty much a mess and you will be lucky to figure out what your supposed to do.

Great game but…... I love the game it is so fun to play with my favourite marvel characters but I always get iso 8 from vaults and can spend it on anything if you fix this I have no problems

Love it but. Sorry guys, the new board is difficult to see when playing. But great effort for hard work.

Very fun but could get pricey. Great game, wayyyyy too expensive to play properly. I struggle to have enough ISO to upgrade characters. Takes forever to upgrade 5* characters without spending a bunch of cash.

Fun challenging gameplay! Horrible interface :( Post release character powers changes :((. Marvel Puzzle Quest (MPQ) is a fun challenging game that adapts well to your current level to give you the chance to progress in PVE and PvP and enjoy the game while discovering Marvel heroes and vilains abilities along the way! Alliance events are also very fun ! They require a reasonable time investment from all the members of your alliance while encouraging the them to communicate to unite their efforts to get the event rewards that are usually very interesting :)) I would have given this game a 4-5 stars if it was not for the following reasons : - The rate of new character releases is a bit too frantic and the time needed to get all rewards in their 3/4 days Pve events is a bit too much for anyone who is busy in real life. Personally, I would slow down the release rate of new characters and remove one iteration on each mission in the PVE events. - Also getting the characters you really want is a bit too tedious. I know it has to be challenging but not when it feels like you loose the fun of playing to get them - games should always stay fun and not become a chore. - The amount of ISO needed to upgrade your characters vs the rate at which you get it is very unbalanced leaving you with a lot of under leveled characters (especially the 4* ones) - They recently made horrible kiddish changes to the gameplay interface (large 3D tiles that kind of dime out when the enemy is playing). Many players complained about this new UI and nothing changed on the newest version. - And last but not least ... Beware ! The company may decide to change any character powers and abilities after their release so you could end up losing the precious time and money that you put to get and upgrade a character you wanted to have in your roster to help you progress in the game. That happened to me on 2 of my upgraded 3* characters ... This is over frustrating and leaves you with the feeling of having been ripped off ... I hope the developers eventually fix these annoying issues so the game would become even better (and I will gladly adjust my rating accordingly) But overall, this game is worth playing if you’re looking for an excellent tile matching game and you like Marvel superheroes and vilains :)) Have fun !

facebook access is broken in last release. last release broke access to facebook linked account

Great game. Been playing consistently for over 4 years. Game is constantly upgraded and progressing. Keep up the good work

Great time. I've been playing for years. Good game. Love the characters and the powers they have.

Great Game. For what it is, this is a good game for those days where you just want to have a quick five minute game.

Too much ISO. I love the game. I had this game from the early stages. Customer support is good. Always helped me migrate my accounts or issues retrieving it. Now I have ISO in the millions while it’s so hard to get gold coins. There should be a way to exchange ISO to gold even at a little loss or vice versa like foreign exchange. So there’s a need for both and makes ISO more important.

Bring back purchasing standard recruit tokens. In an earlier version there was an option to buy standard recruit tokens with iso. Is there any chance this feature will be making a comeback? With over 500k in iso I really wish there was a way to spend it on other things than just power ups and iso colour.

Fun at first. Was fun to play at first but is more focused on pay to win. New characters come out yet immediately after I come across brand new characters completely maxed out in pvp even though resources are limited.

Ordinaire. Les graphiques sont ordinaires et l’app n’offre rien de spécial.

Worst update. I’ve been playing for years and yes, there are lots of flaws with the game, like only getting a two star cover as a random reward for a hard fight, but now I can hardly look at the board and tell the tiles apart. The colours used to pop and picking out matches was easy but now they just look muddy. This might be my stopping point.

Good execution. Having played both marvel games and puzzle games in the past I find this one to be of a very high quality. It is not impossible to get anything in the game which is a very nice change up. I would recommend this to my friends.

Lots to like. Match 3 made more addictive by the addition of popular characters and new ways to strategize via individual strengths and weaknesses as well as special powers. Constant time sensitive event updates and new adds keep it fresh.

So difficult to read. The new update changed everything visually that players have been used to for years. It’s hard to read and tell the difference between tiles. Some of the colours blend together and there isn’t enough contrast between them.

Methuselah. It’s a good long running game. It’s been loads of fun.

Darn good game. This is a great game. It’s fun, challenging, and while I have spent a little money in it I don’t feel like I was ripped off. Start playing, look for advice in forums..there is a great community…and collect Marvel heroes. Perfect for a fan of match games and the Marvel universe.

Terrible new look!!. The new forced update brings a new look and it is hideous and makes the game worse. This is a matching puzzle game, why do you make the screen and colors so messy by adding layers to the tiles?! Whoever designed and approved this look to go live should change it back! What a stupid update!

Such a good game. Currently on day 1975 and still loving the game. It gets better the longer you play it. I don’t mind paying for VIP in this game, not because I have to to enjoy the game but because I want to support the app developer for making us such a fun game. Also, if anyone has more ISO than they know what do do with… then they probably aren’t playing the game right.

And...I quit. This used to be my favourite game, I love collecting stuff and enjoyed building my roster. But since they’ve decided to hand upgrades and game design to a monkey with a keyboard I think I’m now done. Eyes can no longer focus properly on the gems in the match game, there are more greedy $60-$120 in-game purchase bundles than $3-$10 ones, and with the recent update it’s practically impossible to navigate now. So, thanks for the memories...but I’m tapping out.

Stupid Updates. Congratulations on another stupid update.

Should have a tab for 0 stars. Do not play this game. They scammed me out of at least 500$. I got hacked out of my original Facebook page and when I tried to get my games data back they made me start from the beginning again 👎🏼 worst game developers ever cause I reached out to them and they basically said haha. Thanks marvel 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Awesome game but. No place to spend the iso 8 / accumulated lots over the years playing the game would be nice to be able to use more of it

A game to avoid. First, they nerf everything. They will take your money and then change the rules on you. Also, they do not respond to customer concerns, I have a least two outstanding tickets. One is over 6 weeks old. Remind them and they will say ok, but now you are at the bottom of the list again. They also say that if you remind them again, they will knock you back to the bottom of the queue again. Other people are having issues with shields. There are so many flaws that they have not fixed. Rather than fix these issues, they just nerf it more. Big events cause massive server issues and you will not be able to connect to the event. Most recently, they nerfed the ability to pull extra covers. They have made it so difficult to pull 5* champs on duplicate pulls. The game is 100% pay to play. Don’t give them a penny, you’ll regret it.

Too many cards, or not enough coins. Have been playing this game for several years now and have dropped small purchases here and there to support it, but the biggest problem with it at this point is that there are new characters being added constantly. On one hand this is great, but since you hardly get any coins without buying a bunch, you’re never going to be able to collect everything. There are hundreds at this point and it seems like a wall to new or casual players. A vault system of some kind could be good, so that there aren’t SO many characters in rotation at any given time, especially when it comes to the 4 Star characters. Or you could give more coins with regular play, or make roster slots a reward for events or random drops in the vaults. Just a thought

My utterly honest opinion. I really love this game. My brother introed the game to me and I was super hooked. At first, I wanted to “catch up”. Can you feel my eyes roll? He was (is) a master MPQ master compared to me. I still persisted. I never was up to par w him. But over the years, I still found the game super fun and honestly is the only game I play. I still rate the game 5 stars.. tho I have a couple of comments. There are frequent updates, which has to happen before playing.. although it’s up to date w the holidays.. I do appreciate that. I don’t always have the best internet connection, but that’s totally my fault. The only fault I can comment on is that often times, I win hero points but my point does not update. :( But that’s really the only downfall at the top of my mind. Keep up the good work. Thank you!!! 🤪😍👻

Fun but ...... This is a pay to compete game. From my experience, the AI cheats. The cheating is extreme, very blatant. The game is fun but know upfront, the AI cheats (insane tile drops and unfair match ups in pvp), you will need to spend money to compete ($300-$400 per year estimated), and you will need to devote lots of time to play. I stepped away from the game due to the AI cheating. It just gets old after a while. I started playing again after about a year (hoping it changed but AI still cheats). Good thing is I am exactly where I left off. I can grind but I can’t compete. Response to developer: I appreciate that tile drops happen for both user and AI but it’s not equal. I would estimate from my experience tile drops are 8:3. For every 3 the user gets the AI gets 8. There other other ways the AI cheats, 1)most boards favor the AI in AP, 2) AI countdown tiles and special tiles are unmatchable ~70% of the time while user countdown and special tiles are eliminated within 2 moves ~70% of the time. 3) PVP rosters of opponents are much better than mine. I have players with 15k health while playing against opponents that have 30k - 40k health. It doesn’t matter what level I chose 6,7,8. I’m always matched against squads that are vastly superior to my best squad. Updated my rating to 1 star. Without the Marvel Name no one would play this game.

Great concept but room for improvement. Love the concept and fun to play. I feel the game needs to be more dynamic... as in adventures (maybe involving certain teams), etc. Right now Story mode is extremely monotonous... same few stories rotating (rarely ever any nee Stories), and you have to beat every level 6 times to get all rewards. Times 10 to 15 levels per (repetitive) story gets boring. Anyone who plays Gems of War knows what I mean by “dynamic”... so many different challenges, quests, etc... never monotonous... so many ways to power up your teams, etc. I love Marvel anything... and I really hope the developers of this game can take a page out of Gems of War’s book and emulate some if the things they do to make this game more fun and dynamic.

New update nickels and dimes longtime players. DP3A added shards to nickel and dime character pack releases we used to just get for reaching level milestones for champion 3*. They also replaced legendary packs with inferior mighty packs when leveling champions. Way to screw longtime players DP3. I get Doom to level 219 and instead of getting Invisible Woman I get 100 shards. I get Colossus to level 210 and instead of getting Wolverine (X-Force) I get 50 shards. Wow.... And the retroactive shard bandaid didn’t fix squat. A thinly veiled attempt to placate long term players. How about returning champion rewards to their previous state and allowing us to earn full character packs through playing the game. After all, if people don’t play the game they won’t be around to purchase your weekly promotions.

Retro awards addressed, but..... The recent change of the reward system to shards is still inferior to the previous bonus hero system. Throttling rewards is a long time aspect of this game from the dev side, 4 & 5* covers are over-valued given the number of characters released (nearly 90 4*s now and almost 40 5*s), and the reliance on RNG to cover those characters. This updated shard system is just another avenue to do that. They can promote it as targeting a specific character, but it’s slow and predicated on pulling/spending. It still does nothing to address the dilution problem players face in the 4 & 5* tiers. There’s no replacement for CP and HP rewards lost to this new scheme, which cuts into potential pulls. Credit where it’s due, they responded to player complaints about the first batch of retroactive rewards and added a second phase that delivered more. They fixed a mess of their own making. It remains to be seen if they improve their communications and information strategy with the community.

Best free to play game out there. Two complaints: 1) there is no sure fire way to get a 5* character. Add 30 CP for a 5* or something 2) sometimes they’ll have an event that can only be played so many times before you need to wait for it to refresh (galactus, thanos, etc), which gives you fairly limited play and not a lot of team depletion. other times they’ll have puzzle events, welcome to shield, and a regular event all at once, requiring the same character(s) for 2+ events, resulting in your roster getting wiped fairly quickly (which is fine- engenders variety). I just wish the non-story events were lined up with boss battles to balance out play time instead of being feast or famine.

Great game but super stale content. I love this game and have been playing it for years now. But as a long time player i am desperate for a new addition beyond story and versus mode. Something creative and different please! And even putting that issue aside, they run the same events over and over which to me means the developers are done putting effort into the game outside of the obligatory character releases. They added "supports", which are just a lame way of extending new character related content without really having to put much thought into doing something exciting and new, i.e. delude themselves into thinking they are make forward progress with game development when they aren't. So despite years of play and enjoyment, i am giving the game a one star review in hopes my concerns will be seen, as i think some fresh ideas are desperately needed. There is lots of room to add new stuff that revolves around all the character content they have built over the years so there really is no excuse. For instance what about real time battles with other players or a mode where the tiles don't fall downwards, or alliance related competition, or 4 on 4 play instead of 3 on 3? And that is just off the top of my head. The lack of creativity outside of character development is sad. I will soon stop playing if nothing major is added to the game.

Good gameplay, clunky interface and Hero development. I played PQ1 and PQ2 for hours and hours on my old DS. This has some interesting changes to gameplay with updated graphics and is fun. However, the interface is obnoxious and gets in the way of getting TO the fights you want. Getting the menu to do what you want is annoying. The characters are interesting but your space is so limited without micropurchases you can’t try out many characters long enough to develop and there are a lot of low level characters. It’s hard to develop the characters you want especially if you get a rare drop of a good one. And sales pages are huge. I miss the old game. Just let me buy it and play it I might buy character packs but I just wanna a nice streamlined package around the solid game!!!!

Day 1 player. When I first started playing his game it was a little frustrating didn't have enough Iso to power in lvl up my players. The only thing I'm mad about that they took away was you could get pretty good characters from trade in some ISO they need to put more missions and cut the time down all the events there's times that I am right number one and by the time I take a lunch break I'm like 100 lol overall the game has not improved. It’s been the same game gameplay over and over. Nothing new has came to this. I literally stop playing for a long time came back to the game and it was still the same cost wise. You came by the slots because there’s so many different characters and then if you do get a slot, you have to worry about getting the same character to level them upbelieve you got enough shards to do that

Much better. I love the game, been playing it for years, solid work. Previously I wrote a review on some 4 star characters being used more than others, which was rapidly fixed, which impressed me. Now the only thing I would like looked at is being able to see the patch notes from the App Store or app itself after every new update. Going to the website to check is not something I really think of doing. I’d also still love to be able to do something with ISO-8 aside from levels. There’s no motivation for long-term players who have built up a supply from playing so often. You spend it occasionally, but you gain 10x more than you spend, unless you’re just starting out. I know finding exactly what to do will be difficult, which is why I still give the app 4 stars. Keep up the good work!

If this I'd your first time playing don't bother. This game looks good and is fun if you've been playing since it first came out. If you are playing for the first time all of the events will just frustrate you. Even the holiday event which should be fun for everyone is stacked against the new player. This game is so rigged towards pay to win its ridiculous. There are very few character slots and playing in game is too slow to earn the coins to open new ones so you have to pay for that. You can only hold new characters you don't have a slot for for 2 weeks then they're gone. New characters can be won through events (unless you are new then you can only win cheap old characters) or you can buy tokens for a chance to get a new character. Then there is leveling up that character which is another thing you can pay for. Just skip this p2w game they don't care about you unless you spend money.

Losing Steam. Although I previously rated this 5 stars for the past couple of years, it’s starting to lose its appeal. It has gotten to the point that, if you don’t pay money or use exploits, you cannot compete. Also, the storylines have gotten repetitive and the social events have become fewer and further between. I am also becoming skeptical of the stated reward odds. I know it’s possible for me to miss on a 1 in 7 chance 40 times in a row, the odds of me doing so are minuscule and I can’t help but wonder if it has anything to do with how much $ I haven’t paid in the past several months. On a positive note, I continually learn about new marvel characters as more are introduced.

Good luck with customer support. Go ahead, get this app. The game is really good, you will have fun playing this game. But it wont be long before you have to start spending money and then once you decide that you will go on and spend that hard earned cash the need to spend more will arise again soon. Eventually you will contact customer support to get help because they sold you in app purchases and then heavily discounted them just days later. I figured that they would be happy to refund me the difference since i spend actual money with there game, however they don't seem to think so even tho i have spent more money on this simple puzzle app in the last year than it would have cost me just to buy a brand new playstation 4 game that doesn't squeeze the life outta you with in game purchases. Im done with these people and i suggest you be fone before you even start playing

The biggest flaw makes this game makes it not worth playing.. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about the AI which admittedly can be incredibly frustrating at times but my biggest issue is that the roster has limited space which you can only increase with hero points. Not only are the hero points hard to come by but the price increases every time you upgrade and you’re getting the same amount of slots. That in of itself would be frustrating but the characters have a time limit for recruitment. You end up with a bunch of characters that you can’t recruit and they end up expiring. It makes it incredibly frustrating to play. Every single hero point you get has to go towards slots in your roster and you can’t ever use them on anything else. I wouldn’t mind the grinding so much if I didn’t lose a bunch of characters because they expired.

Obtaining Resources and Characters is not good. If you want to play a Marvel game that is fairer with character shard drops and resources, play Future Fight or Strike Force. They actually have a sense of progression. They have better deals and the micro transactions give you a reasonable amount of resources for what you pay for, if you decide on paying. There are more opportunities to get the characters you want rather than having to rely on too much randomness. There are many character shard selector options in those games so that you can buy the shard for character you actually want rather than just hoping you get them with in game currencies (which are also much more obtainable in fair amounts, so you don’t have to rely on having to pay micro transactions for them). There are elements of random drops but at least they are more frequent and fair. I recommend you play Strike Force or Future Fight over Puzzle Quest. Play Strike Force if you prefer a strategy, turned based combat game or play Future Fight for an action packed Beat Em up.

A game worth my time. I’ve been playing this game for what seems like forever. Starting out is fairly easy, you get some 2 & 3 star covers and maxing them is pretty effortless. It does sort of hit a wall once you hit the 1000 hero points cap (which thank goodness seems to be capped there). It slows down a LOT once you get to the point where you’re trying to get 4 & 5 star covers. Overall I still love playing this game and recommend it for any Marvel fan. My wish/suggestion would be to have more hero point sales. I don’t mind dropping some $ from time to time, but when you’re at that 1000 point cap you want as much ‘bonus’ points as possible when spending on a package. The sales are good when they happen but it seems very infrequent or very short when it does happen. That or cap it at 500 so you’re at least getting some bang for your bucks.

Fun, but unfair. I’ve been playing off and on for a couple of years now. The reason why I stop is because I’m not willing to spend loads of money on characters I don’t want. The game needs to make character slots easier to get as well, I don’t like having to pay money in order to get a slot just so I can pay money and hope to get a good character. Allowing us to use our excess of iso8 on these slots or chances at even mid tier cards would help out a lot. Finally, please add a trading option! Cards I don’t have room for but can trade before time runs out could help me upgrade the characters I have n the person I traded to as well. It’s a much better idea then selling the 4* card I only can’t keep just because I don’t have the space for very little iso8 in return

Good but also annoying. I want to like this game. I really enjoy a lot of clever ways they make use of matching game mechanics. A lot of the heroes have powers that take a little while to understand, but once you do you get a little rush figuring out which hero is best for attacking which villain. Which trio compliments each other best. Fun. Also they run special events where certain characters are on “loan” and powered up so you get to try out a character you don’t have, or experience a maxed out version of a character you’ve just started to build up. But it loses me on team roster limits. You have to buy spots for extra characters with in game hero coins. These coins are not the easiest to get without paying real world cash for them. This means you have a very limited team and when you earn a new character to have to decide which of your old teammates you have to ditch. Next thing you know there’s an event using the character you just threw away. . I have have less then 20 hero’s on my team and there looks like there are hundreds of possible characters to collect. Throwing out an one character every time I get a new one? Yeah, that’s already getting old.

1 problem. Hey I love this game been playing every day for almost a year now but have experienced one major problem. There are so many characters that it’s almost impossible to get the same cover twice, therefore making it impossible to level up that character. And with limited space on the roster, you are basically stuck with the same level characters because it takes SO long to upgrade them. Especially with 4 or 5 star characters. Also, just one more thing. With the standard and heroic packs the odds of getting a three or four star cover is basically none. I have gone through over 50 covers in a row with standard and got 0 three stars. Same with heroic and 4 star covers.

Good after 4 yrs playing. 4 yrs (daily play, no alliance) and many changes later, I can finally enjoy the game., both PvE and PvP. And finally back to level 8 after scaling was eliminated, and progressing to 5 stars. Newcomers will profit most from improvements to acquiring and saving covers that used to be discarded. The most recent shards have facilitated the process, tho it means manually tracking which covers are at what level, how many shards, so I can decide which to favor next and get the most out of the feature.(Some UI sort would help there) More work, but also more sense of progress, so I don’t mind those 1 or 2 star covers quite so much... The developers are actively maintaining and trying to improve the game, which means the time a player puts in won’t be lost. On the other hand, what is the ‘end-game’, and do we even want one :) ?

Great game that needs a few changes. I would recommend this “match three” gem game to anybody. They have constantly made changes and kept up with updates to make it fun. You don’t have to spend money to enjoy it, but it’s not a nickel and dime racket if you do decide to spend a few bucks. However, the most recent update, while adding another strategic layer, has gotten rid of a few things that makes navigating the game more tedious. PLEASE mark the characters that can increase levels!! I have a lot of characters and when I get to upgrade a power, there is no indication on the character select screen that shows they can increase in level. I have over 100 characters and can’t be bothered to go through all of them to see if I can level them up.

Favorite game by war. I love this game and I have played a lot of mobile games and this one takes the cake. It’s by far my favorite and best game from an all around perspective. If you like puzzle games and you like marvel this is the game from you. They are constantly adding new characters. Constantly having ways to level up without spending money and overall making it fun. This is a must have game for any puzzle fan or marvel fan. The developers are constantly trying to make it better. Do them and yourself a favor and leave feedback when they ask because they truly do listen.

Development Team is, in my opinion, deceitful. Recently, the Development Team teases a change to the game that induced a large number of players to spend money. They did so (in my opinion) in a very misleading and deceitful way. The player base was made to believe that roster advancement would lead to substantial retroactive rewards. So many advanced their roster through spending real money. This was not the case. In fact many lost out on potential rewards by spending money. This has lead me to change my rating from 5 stars to 1 star as I can not recommend a game where, again in my opinion, the development team will mislead its player base into spending money.

Great Game, Improves on Match-3 Concept. This isn’t your ordinary match-3 game. If you are a fan of Marvel, you’ll enjoy assembling your best team of superheroes to fight other trios for cool covers and other characters. Yes, you can progress quickly if you buy tokens and such, but if you are patient and play the daily Deadpool quest, you still can do pretty well with the game. Your patience will be tested especially when you first start playing the game and begin with a stable full of 1-Star characters. Stick with it! The occasional updates to the game are great and there always seem to be new characters popping up every so often...particularly when a new Marvel movie hits the theaters! My only complaint: it can be rather addicting!

Good mechanics, poor implementation. Developers built the basis for a solid game. However, where the game falls miserably flat is in the implementation of new characters and balancing new mechanics and character abilities against those of old characters. Developers have chosen to implement a large number of characters with extremely effective passive abilities which trigger automatically with little to no input from the user required for their team to be successful. This makes it extremely frustrating in pvp when incoming damage is nearly unpreventable. At higher levels of play you will see Karnak, America Chavez, Immortal Hulk, and Juggernaut dominating the leaderboards with no real risk of being unseated. TLDR; the game has been out long enough now that the developers focus is no longer on engaging gameplay, but instead are choosing to power creep existing characters out of the game with new characters that are all but required to win.

Poor communication and decisions regarding a major update. This game used to be great and I loved playing it. A recent change announcing rewards looked and sounded great until they pulled the rug out from under us. I’ve played daily for nearly 1,600 days with a lot of time invested. The latest release punished me for playing and investing in my roster for a better experience. My high level roster did not produce the rewards promised for a major release. Even better, they posted the update several days in advance and then added a disclaimer less than ten hour before the release. The items promised were greatly reduced or eliminated. I used to pay to help support the app but no more.

New tile style/ latest update. First I LOVE this game! I’ve been playing it for years every day and it’s just gotten bigger and better. Thanks MPQ devs! Second though the latest update brought a new tile system that makes it VERY difficult to look at. Is there a way to push a better visual style or revert back to the one preupdate? Third the devs are very generous with the amount of stuff they give out considering this is a typical free game that offers insanely expensive packages. Fourth the devs are actually in communication with people and listen to feedback so if you’re having some trouble with something they do care about the experience, so definitely chat with them! Thanks!

Too difficult to make progress as free to play. I’ve been playing this game for a while now as free to play and while it’s fun, it’s way too difficult to make any progress. New hero cards expire after a while, which I understand. But with the limited space in the roster, I’ve had several 4 star hero cards expire to give me barely anything in return just because I couldnt scrape enough hero points to open ONE more space in my roster. I understand that developers need to make money, and that ‘sacrifices have to be made’, but when that happens over and over, playing this game can be dejecting and the fun drops. I end up playing other games because this one gets tedious for very little gratification. Otherwise, this game is a nice puzzle game. The graphics are nice and its otherwise not buggy. and Marvel fans will enjoy the little stories and graphics. they’re always updating the events...but the gameplay can get tedious and its difficult to get better as ftp.

Meh. If you’re looking for a puzzle quest type game, here you go. If you’re expecting to have a fair shot without spending money, it’ll never happen. The game starts off fun and eventually turns into an absolute grind. More troubling is the lack of balance. At a certain point you’ll run into the same overpowered teams over and over again with little to no variation. These teams are in no way balanced or fun to play vs. Further more the lack of a true real time pvp hurts the game immensely. PvP is simply a bot battle who’s characters are chosen by your opponent. I’ve seen lesser games with a true real time pvp... this game will try to bleed you dry with micro transactions and will ALWAYS match you vs better equipped teams no matter how much money you spend. Save your money, it won’t accomplish you much. If you’re just looking to get a puzzle quest type game, this isn’t a bad option. Otherwise good luck with the grind that will never pay off.

Horrible player vs. player. The game deserves 2.5 stars. Right in the middle of the rating scale. The player vs event aspect works well enough and the design team tries to give a balanced challenge. It is a work in progress that mostly works well. The player vs player is garbage. The are always gangs of people using overpowered Rocket/Groot with maxed Kitty Pride. They are a great team....that are everywhere. It is zero fun to play PvP. Players can not skip these teams because they are the overwhelming majority. Players don’t want to play this type of garbage.. they want to have a chance at winning. Most of my 20person alliance avoids the PvP for the same reason. It is pointless if you don’t have those 2charaters maxed out. I hate it and the strong get stronger while the weak feel left in the dark while new characters are pushed out to be won in PVP by the Uber strong. Original ranking was 2.5.... now 2 feels like too much.

The new recruit menus are awful. The newest update took a perfectly fine structure for the recruiting and totally cheapened it while also making it more difficult to identify covers you have earned. It’s like they did zero UX testing at all and let a five year old design it. 2 stars because of this, but... All in all I continue to fin myself playing this game when I have some downtime. You don’t always win, but also don’t always lose. It can be a grind sometimes, but you don’t actually have to spend your cash to level up. I have contributed to the game a few times, but you don’t really need to. It is fun to learn about different characters and there are plenty of rewards that keep you trying to level up. Typically I would have this at 4*. .

Fix what’s wrong, don’t make the game worse. At a level of 104, I’ve been playing this game daily for well over 5 years. For years there were no major updates because the game worked perfectly fine. In the last year, every update made the game worse and created problems. Problems that are not addressed in the next update, instead new problems are created and the game gets even worse. I rarely ever leave a feedback on games but now this is my 2nd for this game. And now I leave it 1 star. Listen to the reviews and stop making the game worse or you will continue to lose players.

Long time player love the game but. I love MOQ and have been playing all these years since it’s original launch. My only problem with this game now is it takes entirely to long to build 5 stars. We need more 5 star pulls at this point in the games history. There are people who have been playing for 6 years and have invested in the game and only have 1 5 star or no champion level. I myself have spent heavy and played for 7 plus years and have 1 champion 5 star. With all I have spent I don’t think it’s to much to ask for more pulls at this point. I have spent thousands and I feel like I don’t have what I should have not even close. Please I am begging to give me chances at 5 stars guys.

This has to change!. With the exception of a couple of breaks due to life happens, I’ve been a daily player for many years. Now that I’ve fought my way to a higher level of play and am receiving more tokens and legendary pulls I’m CONSTANTLY getting covers I have maxed. I’m not sure of the exact number but out of the last 20-30 pulls when I’m lucky enough to receive a 4 star cover its nearly always a maxed color and I have to sell them. A very demoralizing thing. There needs to be a way to allow V.I.P. players the limited( maybe once a week) the ability to purchase a power redistribute for 20-25 cp the current system of buying covers for 120 cp for 4 stars is over priced and unfair! Please review this and consider making a change before you start losing player due to extreme frustration!

Money Whales Need Their Own PVE/PVP. I’ve been playing devoutly for about 3 years now, and the game used to be fair on dedicating time and skill for playing the PVE and getting the deserved top 10 rewards for ranking. After the new update for “SHIELD levels”, only rich players aka Whales can afford to blitz through the nodes on PVE and always get the top rank rewards. This makes acquiring the newest 4 and 5 stars IMPOSSIBLE for everyone else. For example, when Kingpin premiered, I was 2nd place in his PVE release and got his covers. This needs to change soon or newer players will be scared off from competing, since the PVP aspect is dominated by endless teams of maxed out/championed 5 star legends. Also, the supports are a dumb gimmick to entice newer players but once again, won’t be enough to acquire top placement rewards. Deadpool Daily and bonus cover drops for favorites are what keep me playing.

Repetitive but enjoyable. It’s a good game but very repetitive. The alliance function doesn’t allow a lot of useful interaction. You can give team ups, but not a lot of useful support, and the team chat isn’t reliable, especially if you switch from tablet to phone frequently. The last new alliance event was just awful. Why give a lot of options with no explanations on how to win it. My alliance worked like crazy, but couldn’t hit sub mod requirements, so saw no progress. It was a very dissatisfying new event. That said, it’s a good way to wast two hours every day. The developers are interested in the players experience, such as adding a saved cover and customer service is pretty solid when there is an issue with rewards from payment.

What were they thinking?. I’ve been playing this game for 1215 days and while I’ve had issues with game from time to time this is the first time I have seriously considered quitting the game all together. I’m a commander for an PvP (Player vs. Player) alliance and D3s recent decision to base progress rewards on wins are awful. The game is enough of a grind to begin with and this change has made it much worse. To reach the 900 pt progression reward cover it usually takes me between 21-25 matches at about 5 minutes a match. Now it requires 40 wins to get the same. It’s just not worth the extra time and effort anymore. I will also be speaking with my wallet and will not be renewing my VIP membership. I’m sure they won’t miss my $10 a month, but if enough people quit theirs they will.

Fav game but feeling betrayed. Updating my review. This is still my favorite game on my phone and been playing since day one. My only issue is with the new update leveling up your champions give 4 star shards now. The only issue I have is I didn’t get any because they are already passed that level. Are loyal players going to get the shards they already leveled passed or what? Also to all of the people that complain about I don’t wanna pay or I feel ripped off because I put money into it. I haven’t put a single penny into this game. Yes at the start you have to pick characters that are good and flow with each other but you do have to put in some work. Don’t give a game a 1 star review because they make you actually put in some time and challenge you. I will give the long term players some room because I agree this new update punished us unless they are going to give us shards etc that we should have gotten in the characters levels. Literally the next day you guys fixed the rewards. You guys are an amazing team that listens to the players. More companies should follow in your footsteps. This game will always be 5 stars.

A Rewarding Game. This is the only mobile game I play. It’s a game that you can actually work hard and get rewarded for it. I stopped playing contest of champions and went to this after having 40 something characters that are all 3 star or less. I actually get most of what I want in this. I like that if you get a hero, every once in a while you get a bonus one with it as a thanks for playing the came. I feel cared about by the developer and don’t need my wallet to get anything out of it, although I choose to do so because of the great experience of the game. Easy to learn, and can be challenging at times, but always fun. Also, please add more to the prologue. I finished it and it’s just sitting there collecting dust.

Boring manipulative cash grab. Puzzles and dragons is much better. The game mechanic in this game is boring. You move one piece, one space. There’s not much puzzle to it. They are VERY stingy with new cards and lock everything behind a paywall. One of the worst and Most obvious cash grabs is the way they lock the “slots” for cards behind a paywall. They are hoping that you’ll get frustrated when, after *way* too long, you finally get a card you want and you’ll pay money for the slot impulsively. They are banking on your frustration overriding your sensibility. It’s manipulative and borderline abusive. The graphics are beautiful and they are using your love of the characters against you. Again, puzzles and dragons has purchasable items but they do NOT use the abusive and mentally manipulative mechanics that this game does. And PaD actually has a puzzle mechanic!

iPad update killed the game. I’ve thought about reviewing the game for a long time, but have kept silent up until the latest update for iPad. The resolution scale back issue is inexcusable, and makes me not wanna play. I’ve nearly played this game since inception, and for the most part it was entertaining and such for a long time. Think things went south went they introduced supports, Red ISO, and then the new shard system. You can’t log into this game without them hounding you for money through some useless bundle. They keep adding characters in the hopes you spend more to try to get them, or the shards that will take forever. It’s also a joke with daily rewards for players who have played over the years. Thanks for the 50 HP and 2500 ISO on Day 2059 when I have over 200K! It’ll come in handy with the 1400 health packs I have that’ll never get used. I’m sure it’s still fun for some people, but it’s become redundant and lazy. As long you keep buying money to try and get covers, they won’t care. Be wary people.

Complete bait and switch. Update: I’ll admit to playing now over 1100 days, so clearly I do like it, but the developers of this game continue to miss the mark. How else can you describe (without a doubt) the absolute worst in-game chat experience on the App Store. There is no predictive text, no auto correct/capitalization/anything, limited characters, and the list goes on. Rather than update the fancy graphics, why don’t you spend a little time bringing the basic features of the App up to the standards of (even) 2010??? The developers of this game get you hooked, you spend a little money, and then they effectively castrate the players you've worked so hard to build up. They tease you with fantastic rewards that rarely happen - seriously, how many times have I received the same anemic Bullseye cover! The game is fun and holds great promise, but anytime that promise is realized, the devs pull it with the next update.

Suggestion for removal older characters. I’ve played MPQ for a while and have very much enjoyed it. However, the number of characters only increases over time, so new players are less likely to stick with the game, since it becomes more and more difficult to accumulate covers of characters you like. Older characters are often seen to be less desirable, and odds of getting new covers gets worse and worse over time. I would suggest that some method of throwing away old characters in favor of newer, equivalent covers would be helpful. You could use your analytics to remove characters almost no one plays. If you also make old covers no longer available, new players would be more likely to keep playing instead of being overwhelmed.

Great free app. Tech support lacking.. The game continues to update and add new characters keeping you interested and able to introduce new strategies towards offensive and defense. I am consistently praising the app with friends. However with the updates, one of my old devices became incompatible. I reached out to the internal support team, and provided them with the requested information and the date to backup system while I installed onto new device. No response from support for a month. Had to send an e-mail to resolve, and again provided backup date to use. Date was not used and I lost over 100 covers! Responded back to them about this but receive no response or further support. Had to decreased rating as a result.

awesome, free, FUN - unnecessary graphic updates.
