Incredible. I've always enjoyed this genre of games, but this one stands out. Big time. The storyline, graphics, music, voices, attention to detail... just beyond immersive and addictive! The team that created this masterpiece deserves the utmost recognition, and I'm so thankful I gave this a try! And it's free!

Love this game.. This is one of my favorite games right now. I have been playing it many hours now and I am still enjoying it. Some of it is very challenging but I really like that in a game. I would highly recommend this game if you love picture finds and puzzles.

Looks fun but no videos. I thought this looked like a really interesting game and I was very excited to play it, but I was kinda bummed when I noticed that none of the cut scenes/ videos were playing. Whenever one would come up, it would just be a solid black screen with the skip button in the corner. 🙁

Pretty good game. This is a decent game - lots of locations. Not as visually stunning as some games but still nicely done. I had a few glitches to start, but it smoothed out after awhile.

Great...but. Fun and engaging. After first few moves, it's either done or you buy more content for 6.99. Paid the 6.99 completed the chapter and....that's it!! Nothing more. Scam. Loved game but expect more for cost. Time to delete.

Great game. This is one of my favorite mystery hidden object games. All of the mini games had so many clever details and were so fun. The story Line was inventive and new and I couldn't stop playing. Well worth the money since this game was much longer than most others. Highly recommend.

Skip scenes blacked out. SKIP screens always come up pitch black. I can hear sounds fine,But can’t see. I clip SKIP and screen comes up fun. But I’ve also cut off all that was happening during the skip. I am using iPad retina mini 4. I won’t purchase the game if this isn’t fixed. Froze...again. This game froze on me twice (on my brand new iPad Pro) after I paid for the full version. Since I have to start over each time that happens, I've just thrown away $6.99.

Fun but frustrating. The game is really fun and enjoyable but when it comes to the videos it doesn't show it only shows the black screen of the videos and it's so frustrating other then that the game is really fun if u could fix the video part that be really really great.

No visuals. I was excited to play this game. However, when the first cut scene appeared nothing appeared at all. I could not see anything but could hear everything. Unless this is fixed we’re not buying the game. This is been the only one star review I have ever left on a game in the App Store I am so bitterly disappointed by big Fish I always loved your game and now I am not going to be a loyal customer anymore.

Game was short but good. The game play was decent. Definitely a challenge which I enjoyed. However the storyline was short and the bonus game was barely worth playing it was way too short. All the videos clips were completely black. Problem with the visual for that but I could hear the scene and it didn’t effect the game play. All in all a decent game that I didn’t mind purchasing. But please make the bonus chapters worth playing.

Sorry I missed this one.. Just purchased this and absolutely amazing. If you like a good story and enjoy HO then this is a must have. Just sorry it took me this long to see it or buy it.

Glitch on cut away scenes. It was a fun, long game, very happy with the length of the game. However, when it came to some automatic action scenes, my IPad just goes black and I can’t see what is happening. So, I just hit the Skip button to get out of the scene. For instance, I didn’t see how the game ended in the bonus section!

Go video!. It seems you have no intention of fixing this problem since users have been reporting it for years now.

Seems really dated. First of all, the game only gave two levels of expertise, beginner and expert. Second, the graphics were very dated. Third, it didn’t ask if I wanted a tutorial, it just gave one. Fourth, the first HOP was very off-putting. I didn’t even get past the first scene.

Big Fish games are terrific. I forgot how much I enjoyed Big Fish games. It’s not just hidden objects, you have to go back to where the object is needed. Lots to remember. Super graphics and plots

Good ole fashion HOG game. No in app purchases after you buy the game, no tedious "connect with friends to get more coins" crap, just a good puzzle game to spend an afternoon or two with.

Scenes are missing.. Not that they’re important to finishing the game, but the in between scenes are just a dark screen with the option to “skip”.

Black screens not cool!. While the theme seems interesting, all cut scene videos are totally black. This has been pointed out by other players, so it’s not just me. Won’t purchase until a fix is released.

Love this game.. This is one of the best games I have played. Great graphics, puzzles, hops. Lots of locations. No glitches. I will probably play it again, which I almost never do. Well worth the money. Great story.

Great game!. This is a great game with great bonus content. Awesome storyline and graphics. About half way through the game occasionally when I would try to go to a different area, the game would prompt me to "unlock" the rest of the game to continue playing despite having purchased the full game. Minor issue though as I was able to cancel this and hit play and pick up where I left off. Just a minor nuisance.

The lake house. I can see where this game is going to be great, but.... HOW do I get out of the “ go to the childrens room, I’m in a loop, kids room , two cables in a cold lake to behind the. I hit hint and it comes out side take hint again and it says go to children’s room .imsure I touched every sq. In. Everywhere....nothing. Help.

Film Scenes Don’t Work. The cutaway scenes on video camera have no image. The sound works but it’s just a black screen that says “Skip” on top right side.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED!. I just bought this game, loved it for the hour or so I got to play it but now after recharging my iPad, all I get is a blank, black screen w/music from the game. I have no idea how to fix this problem after paying $7.00 for it, really upset and diappointed, I’ll never pay for another one, so sad.

Wow, one of the best. I play a lot of HOPs. While I enjoy the puzzle aspect, a lot of the stories are either manufactured or barely there. The other end of the spectrum has story driven games, but the puzzle aspect is lacking. This one balances both perfectly. I am in the game and invested in the outcome. The puzzles match the story arc and don’t break the momentum. I have played hundreds and this is near the top. Kudos to the developers/ design team for a home run.

Good game. The game itself was really good however the flashbacks didn’t show. Every last one of them the screen was black but I could hear the story. So I really couldn’t tell what the background story was and just completed the game. I would have given 5 stars if that was fixed.

It could be great if only......... I don't know why I'm having so much difficulty getting this game to work on my brand new iPad using iOS 10 but the game has had to be deleted and reinstalled at least 5 times. The game fails to load, screens freeze, won't keep track of my progress when I sign off. The only reason that I keep trying to get this game to work is because what I HAVE been able to play of it has been so enjoyable and a masters isn't needed to play it. It's not so easy either that you don't need to think about your next move. It's a great balance. I'd just like to be able to get the game to work long enough where I can advance through the game and not have to restart it after every break. If you can get it to load on your tablet or laptop, you WILL enjoy it!!! It would be a five star if not for the technical problems!

Really enjoyed game but glitchy bonus chapter. I had no issues with the game, fun, mystery, good story line, etc but have been unable to finish bonus chapter due to a glitch with the string to tie the balloon. The inventory clearly shows a string but when hovering over it, it the game thinks it’s a fuse. So frustrating! Hopefully the developers will see this and fix Otherwise great game

Black screens. When the game first starts, that’s all there is, is a black screen! You can hear what’s going on, but can’t see anything! This is very very annoying! I usually LOVE Bigfish games and I play them alot! Please fix this game so that it works correctly. $7 is not a cheap game!! Wow!. This game is fantastic! It’s like the way games used to be before developers just started churning them out as fast as they can. I love Alawar games, they are always unique. The music and scenery are creepy and sad, as befits the story. The mini games are not difficult, but they are entertaining. The hos are played twice. This is obviously an older game, but in a good way. No cookie cutter formulaic crap, real creativity is at work here. It’s very long, and the bonus is decent as well. At the end there are 9 trivia facts, which I found amusing and showed the development team as real human beings. There are no collectibles, which I found to be a breath of fresh air; I could just get lost in the story without starting each scene looking for a morphing object or whatever. And while yes, it’s a story about stopping a villain, I felt it was a fresh take on that theme. Thank you Alawar!!

Game won’t display progressive scenes. The game shows a blank black screen every time an automatic play scene shows up. I have deleted and reinstalled this app at least three times it has not rectified the issue. Big fish please fix this your games are not cheap!

Fantastic game. I loved this one - great storyline, not too many HOS and actually had me scared a couple of times, which never happens. This was easily one of Big Fish's better games - I can't put it down. I haven't finished it yet I can't tell if the storyline will allow for a sequel but I hope so!

ALAWAR has created an engaging plot of decent length containing 28 classic HOPs and several cleverly imagined mini-games.

Lake House is very enjoyable HO Adventure game. I enjoyed the HO Adventure game very much. The story was entertaining, and the many mini games were a nice change from just HO scenes. I was also quite happy with this collectors edition, because having the extra game play makes you feel as though you got your money's worth. I have been disappointed in the past when purchasing a collectors edition and only getting wallpaper and art work as an extra. When gamers purchase a collectors edition I feel they are expecting extra game play too. So two thumbs up for the creators of the collectors edition. :-)

Excellent game. We bought this game and have not been able to stop playing, even though we are not that much into video games. So far as hidden object game it surpasses our expectations greatly. We have played so far more than 3 hours as our Sunday entertainment. We played it as a couple team and its been so much fun.

JUST OK UNLESS YOU'RE A HIDDEN OBJECTS GAME ROOKIE. This game is rather underwhelming to be created by Big Fish Games AND Alawar Games, the best in the business for this genre. I only got to 4 scenes and was bored - there was not one hidden object search or extra puzzle to solve in this time. I usually decide whether to buy an Unlock by that time and I buy 95% of the Big Games HOG releases. I found this game totally unchallenging and the graphics are washed out - nothing at all like "Stray Souls" or "Puppet Show" or "Empress of the Deep", which are the standard for HOGs. Certainly not worth $6.99. Actually, I wouldn't buy this one on sale for $1.99!

Amazing Game! First Rate!. This is one of the best Hidden Object Games I've ever played, and my sister and I have been playing them for years! The graphics are stunning, just lovely. The entire format is excellent and you never get 'stuck' as can sometimes happen with other HOGs. Will absolutely check out other games in this series.

Best of the Best. BF has finally set the standard for what a good HO and Adventure game can be. This game is by far one of the finest they've offered over the years. Except for having morphing objects or a helpful sidekick, this game has everything a person would want. It's also an original game, not one rehashed from the Mac or PC. Great graphics!. It's been a long time since BFG has come out with a good one. HOG's are not my favorite, but there were not that many in here, and you can zoom in. Tried the game based on the other reviews and they are correct! Great Game! Wish BFG would do more large file adventure games, but this came pretty close! Good long game and storyline.

Really enjoyed this one. These games had gotten so crappy, I took a break from them. This one had good reviews so I gave it a shot and really glad I did. Interesting story line, not too much back and forth between 50 areas, great map showing where you need to be. Didn't even have to use the strategy guide, which gets old fast. Five stars for this one. Bonus chapter was interesting as well. Good stuff! Great fun.

Lake house( Children of silence). Ok I just finished the whole game and loved it!!! The story was awesome, I was able to complete the whole game in 6 hours. What a fun way to spend my Sunday off, inside with the air on and not out in this heat we are having on the East coast. You won't be disappointed when you purchase this hidden object game, it isn't difficult at all, the scenery is eye catching and well designed. It also wasn't like you had to go six screens away to search for items, it went in order which I LOVE, except for like two screens away, which is small considering some of these games. Try Lake House I believe you'll enjoy it. Also the voice overs were great I HATE sub titles so thank you for that too!!!!

I believe Big Fish Games are a thing of the past.. Another BFG that doesn’t work. So sad.

Glitches that annoy. This is the second game in a row where I've completed the game proper and am well into the bonus chapter, when a glitch prevents me from proceeding further. This time it's when I have to tie a balloon with string -- even though it shows the balloon has been tied, the string remains in the inventory and the game keeps telling me it's time to tie the balloon. At this point, in both games, I give up because I cannot face having to start completely over to be able to finish the last 25% of the bonus chapter. I like having bonus chapter (usually), so it's quite annoying to pay the extra $2 for material that cannot be finished.

One of the BEST..... I've played a LOT of Hidden Object Games, but this one was has become one of my favorites. The graphics are well done...and not so dark that HOs are impossible to locate. In beginner or basic mode, hints recharge quickly which is an added plus. I especially liked that missing parts to puzzles were typically found not too far from where they are solved. Well done! I anticipate the next chapter in this story....

Great game!. I play many games similar to this theme and this was the best story so far. I always get the games that have guides in casual or more difficult play mode. You didn't need one for this game. The hints were different lengths each time for what you were trying to do. I loved this feature and hope to find more games like this.

Fun game, but stuck.... iPad mini here. On Chapter 9 and stuck. Looking for a snake in movie theater puzzle? Used the hint button, says I need nothing here? And then used the guide which instructs me to tap on far left chair then snake is revealed. No luck. I'm afraid I will have to uninstall the game and then reload. But all my progress will be lost :( Hope it can just be a fix? Always love the big fish HO games and this is my frist issue in the 15+ games I have purchased. Will buy more again but wanted to leave this note. Thank you.

Fan-Freaking-Funtastic!. It seems like it has been a very long time since Big Fish or anyone else for that matter, has given us a game worthy of 5 stars and The Lake House is definitely worthy of those stars and then some! There's interesting and unique mini puzzles, a great story and graphics, relatively decent job on the voice overs, and awesome HOS (hidden object scenes) that have items you can find immediately mixed with items you must do extra steps to find. The only thing missing would be extra items or "from beyond" items to find throughout the game, but I won't complain considering everything else this game has to offer! Oh, and for those that need it there is the pinch zoom feature as well! The Lake House is on par with what fans of grown to expect from Big Fish and I hope they read our reviews and take note and keep games of this caliber coming! I highly recommend this game!😁👍😍

My new favorite.. So far this has been my favorite HdO adventure puzzle game. I really love when a game makes you think. I enjoy not only the HdO scenes but I also love the puzzles. I like that I'm not searching for shapes but from a word list but I love that some things need to be moved or placed together to make an item on the list.

One of your best games - Thanks Big Fish!. I enjoyed this one thoroughly. The graphics were splendid and the mini-games weren't mind-numbingly difficult like with so many of your games. In choosing easy/casual play this is what I expect; not to have to skip most mini-games. Lake House was relaxing and fun and really well put together. I've been trying to only purchase games that are on sale but this one had such great reviews that I sprang for the $6.99 and don't regret it a bit!

another big fish hit. a fun game, challenging but not impossible. good mini puzzles that you can figure out without difficult instructions, great HOS not too few and not overdone. good graphics. I like the map sometimes all the running around in the games gets tiresome. and good length....when you pay $5 or $6 for a game you want it to last!

Often Frustrated. I enjoy hidden object games....I am even starting to enjoy the one find leads to another clue type games.....I despise the get coins or points to buy your way to the next level games. I tried three games the day I bought The Lake House. The other two games were deleted within the first 5 minutes. I truly enjoyed this game and would love to find more like it!!!!

Best Big Fish game I've ever played!. When boredom comes upon me, I suddenly become a sucker for these semi-expensive games, and although the prices are frustrating, I typically enjoy playing them. This one is definitely the best one though! I have come across a few that were way too short or redundant, but this one was worth the money. The graphics were beautiful, it was challenging, and it was LONG! It even had a great bonus section! If you wanna try out a Big Fish game, this one is definitely a winner!

The Lake House. Was a great game, kept me going, only thing I didn't like was,it DOES have you all over the place with having to go to so many different spots just to complete one thing n sometimes you may only get to complete half of it and go back at another time to finish it, and its easy to get lost..the story line was really good and very entertaining..

Black screen on cutscenes. Supposedly was updated for new OS, but it still does not play the cutscenes. Since it's impossible to contact Big Fish, I imagine the game is ruined as nothing will be done about it.

Stray souls???. Anyone else notice all the Stray Souls items in the game? I'm glad this finally came out. Stray Souls was the best. But, has anyone noticed any "From Beyond" items in this game? You know, the things that are often in the every scene that change back and forth and you have to find them...I haven't. Boo! That is an added bonus when you have to search the scenes for morphing objects. I love it! This is a winner in a long run of runner-ups and straight up losers! Thanks BF

Lake House. Alaware always gets their games right. No complaints, although it seemed the designers got a little tired toward the game's end and weren't as creative with the HO's as they were at the beginning. Great graphics, appropriate music, engaging plot line, inventory items are named (thank you!), HO zoom, bonus chapter, in-game strategy guide, appropriate hint button....they got it all! Now, lets discuss this $6.99 introduction price nonsense Big Fish!

One of the best!. If it had an interactive map, I would give it a 5. Started playing on my phone a couple of yrs ago before I got my iPad & fell in love. I guess because it's older, but the details are paid attention to. There are so many cute little things you need to be watching to see. The graphics aren't like today, but are just fine & so much detail is shown - even in an old box. And sometimes even just obtaining an object is so clever. One I remember is a dead battery that u have to recharge. Then u have to gather parts & then put a little truck together & then put it & the battery on a little track & it runs off & comes back with some little part u need. Or you have to gather a nut & a box so u can capture this adorable little hamster to put on a wheel to charge the dead battery. So many little games you that are so unique & clever. Look closely or you'll miss something. I enjoyed the HOP's a lot - not the same objects you're used to over & over. I have a special love in them. Usually when u enlarge the picture to see the little details if u accidentally click on one, it will snap u back to original size so fast that it shocks my old heart. Not good. Not this one. You can keep it enlarged the entire time! And, unlike the newer games where quality has often been sacrificed for quantity (New game every day). Not here. This has 14 chapters & 4!! Bonus chapters And my very favorite part of the sole game you almost never see anymore are very interesting & well developed character. I couldn't wait to see what happened next & I never saw what happened in the end coming. I'm just sick there aren't any sequels. I'm on the last bonus chapter & going as slow as I can. One more thing - I had to look for the gameeat is so good I have in the App Store so I could review it. I was never interrupted a single time asking me to review it. Just another reason I wanted to be sure I did review it. Somebody - PLEASE give us sequels &/or other games of this quality. I'd much rather have fewer games that were well made. And a good storyline that's like reading a murder mystery. Enjoy! Wish I were starting over!

OVER THE MOON OVER THIS GAME!!. LOVE IT!!! Wow! First Surface: The Noise That She Makes followed up by the Lake House... I'm impressed and very grateful for the quality lineup!! A reviewer mentioned a comparison to Stray Souls (also one of my favorite games) and I can definitely see it in the eery, somewhat sinister graphics, which are fantastic, and the cut scenes are just spectacular. A GREAT PSYCH THRILLER, my absolute favorite!! I'm enjoying every minute! ... Gotta get back to the game now... Did I say thank you? Just finished the game... BRILLIANT!!! Some games are worth every penny and this is one of them!! Did you see the Stray Souls and Dark Strokes: Sins of the Father posters in the movie theater? I had to laugh... What great advertising, Clearly the similarities between the games graphics were not coincidental but it was also one of the reasons Lake House has been one of the best games I've played so far. Didn't bother me that it didn't have morph objects, there's plenty there to enjoy. I played it start to finish.... Thank you developers! And to my delight you left it wide open in the end. Oh, did I say sequel PLEASE!!!

Great game!. Big Fish has done it again! This a spectacular game. The graphics are stunning. The voice overs are mesmerizing. The music is soothing. I usually turn off the music in games, but not this time. I love the strategy guide. It is pictures instead of words. Very easy to follow. The mini-games are challenging but not impossible. I play casual and am halfway through this game. Can't wait to finish, but wish it wouldn't end. Worth every penny. And, BTW, I don't feel $6.99 is too much to pay for a collectors edition game, especially when it is a quality game. The CE games for Mac and PC are twice as much and it is the same game! I know because I have been a fan of BF for years and have numerous games on my Mac. So it really is a good and fair price for the iOS version.

Fantastic game!. This game is great. Interesting story line, fun and challenging pathway through the game. A bit more linear than some of the other games, which I appreciate -- most of the time, the objects you find are useful in one of the ten or so surrounding scenes, rather than you having to backtrack through the entire game. But, if you get stuck, the map is a great help. The HOSs are just the right level of difficulty; I like having a few objects that require an extra step or two to find.

Warning! Do not update to iOS8!!. This was an excellent game. Until I updated my iPad 2 to iOS8! I was about 75% finished with the game when I did the update and when I went to play the game again, all my game data was gone and the app will not recognize that I have purchased the game. I've tried all the typical fixes like uninstalling the game, rebooting my iPad and reinstalling the game...but to no avail. In addition, when I try to start the game, the sound only works during the movies...not when characters are speaking. There is no music. Basically, the game is not functional under the latest Apple operating system AND I'm out $6.99! If Big Fish is a decent company they will either refund our money or release an updated version of the game which will work with iOS8!,
