The only app with historic weather data. I am a gardener (and a weather nerd), and I absolutely need to know the long-term average high and low temperature and the long-term record high and low temperature for my location each day. It's the first thing I check each morning. For years I used Intellicast, because it had a very simple graphic each day with current temp and all the other (average and record) temperature data on it. Simple and beautiful. Then Intellicast was replaced by Storm with no historic weather data. I searched and searched for a new weather app with historic weather data and found none. I finally settled on this app because it has a nice clean look, lets me choose my weather data (dewpoint, moon rise, etc) and the radar function includes future storm tracks instead of where the storm has already been. I did not find the historic weather info until I'd had this app for about a year. I'm not sure if it came with an update or if it's because it's hard to find. The historic info is under an icon called "almanac" that is only visible when you expand the top menu with the three dots in the upper right corner. Who knew? I think the app developers would be wise to highlight the fact that they have historic weather data, because no other weather app does, and many gardeners need this information. Thanks for a great app.

Great replacement for Storm!. REALLY happy with this app and the responsiveness of the WeatherMate staff. Dropped a couple of suggestions to customer service a week ago and today, those features are in! I even received an email from Wendy at WeatherMate notifying me of the changes. What a great, responsive company! NICE JOB! Compare this to the fiasco going on with Storm Radar. DylogicApps, you’ve got a customer for life. For those of you like me who feel The Weather Channel screwed you by dumping a great product called Storm, replacing it with an inferior radar widget, here’s your new weather app! It pretty much does everything Storm did except the wind and jet stream animations. The layout is pretty good, and the radar map works great. You get the front lines and pressure indicators. It also allows you to view personal weather stations. These two items alone would sell me, especially after the new Storm Radar app dumped them. Includes detailed forecasts, and other cool items like weather radio. This is an app for weather buffs, and a great pickup for those looking for their Storm replacement. Nice job!

FINALLY, weather complications for the Watch!. I didn’t buy this for the phone app. There are plenty of weather apps out there and I didn’t need another one. I paid money for this, specifically for the CUSTOMIZABLE Watch complications! Most weather apps have NO complications at all, and the one or two apps that do, have only one really lame one. This app not only has GREAT complications, but there’s a bunch! One for every corner, circle, bar, and midsection. AND they’re even customizable to display the info you want them to. Many even display more than one thing in the same corner or circle. The middle bars can contain up to 4 or 5 bits of information. The reason I’m only giving 4 stars right now, is because it doesn’t seem updated for the newest Series 7 faces. Many of the new S7 faces are missing, including the Dual Modular. The other reason is because we can’t individualize the 4 corners (or 3 circles) to display different options. If you select “weather mate” for all 4 corners, then all four will display the same thing. If they can change that one feature to allow individualized corners or circles, then I will change my rating to the 5 stars it deserves.

Storm is gone, thankfully these guys exist!. EDIT! This app is still the best app out there. I actually like this app more than the original Storm app which is hard to believe. Also, I emailed the developer to ask for some enhancements and they replied within a day and said that they were already on the list to add to the app! Truly a great find when it comes to weather apps. Storm was my go to app for weather. It had a feature set that was perfect for just about anyone. Weather channel bought them and they essentially shelved the app. I must have downloaded 10 other apps trying to find something to replace Storm, but nothing came close. Until now... Weather Mate Pro is not just as good as Storm, it’s actually better. The available layers and feature set is far superior to what Storm had. I am so happy to have found this app! The only thing missing is the distance rings around your location. I think Storm used it for lightning tracking, but it was very handy to see the distance rings of 25, 50, 75, and 100 miles right on the radar. You could look at the movement of an incoming storm and quickly see the speed and estimate the actual timing it would be arriving. Hopefully they will add it in the future. Anyways, great app that I highly recommend!

Was once a weather app I thought reliable. Over the last month the quality of information has been declining with this app. Predictions changing by the hour and many times not even correct. As I sit here with Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings around me in SeMO, this weather app decides to become the most unreliable thing ever. This storm system has been talked about all day and every time I checked the radar in the app it never once displayed a proper "Watch" or "Warning" issued by the NWS as the system has moved across MO all day. The only thing the radar has shown is "Watch" and "Warnings" issued from the previous day. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times, on my iPhone 7+ and iPad Mini 2 (both up to date iOS and app version), to find no fix. I have had to find a different app that is keeping properly displayed NWS alerts and an up to date radar displayed, because if the power goes out, my iPhone and iPad are all I have to rely on. Not sure how much I spent on this, but I'm pretty confident it was money wasted. At least it wasn't the worst app I've wasted money on. I also have pictures of the radar if the developer would like them.

Broken Apple Watch complications. Let me first start off by saying I really like the phone app. Coming from dark sky, it’s nice to finally have a widget. There were a couple reasons I ended up purchasing this app, first off it’s nice to have an app that doesn’t require a monthly subscription and second I was looking for something with multiple watch complications. This brings me to my problem. On the App Store page it shows a beautiful Infograph watch face, with each complication showing a unique weather statistic. However if you try to create the watch face from the watch itself you can only customize a single data point no matter which complication position your are working from so consequently each complication shows the exact same thing. What they want you to do is use the complication center within the actual weather app and then sync it to your watch. The issue here is that the four outside complications must all be the same, and the three inside complications must all be the same. I have sent an email to the developers to see if there is a resolution to this issue, but after more than a month of sending the email, I still have no response. Until the complication issue is resolved, the pictures shown in the App Store are blatant false advertising.

The only viable alternative to Storm on iOS. For some reason, only this app and what used to be Storm (but is now whatever the weather channel monstrosity app is called) will show you real time weather fronts. If you know how to look at a weather map, the position and speed of an incoming warm or cold front can tell you a lot about what the weather will be like for the day. You can supplement that info with current radar, temps, the NWS’ forecast discussion, wind speed, dew point, pressure, etc. This one has all of that, (which means everything that Storm had), except with a much more outdated GUI. Like as if we were still on iOS 5. But I’ll HAPPILY take a bad looking weather app with tons of great info over a garbage weather app (i.e. the app formerly known as Storm) without any real info. It’s ironic, because those people basically turned Storm into an app that somehow looks worse than this app, which is saying a lot since this app looks like its stuck in 2011. Like everyone in the reviews is saying: This is the only weather app that’s a suitable replacement for the old Storm app. Developers of this app will get 5 stars from me, regardless, if for no other reason than its the only app which shows positions of cold fronts relative your location. Update the GUI and I’ll give you that sixth star! ;)

A more than worthy replacement for Storm. When Storm was put on the shelf, I looked at several apps as a replacement. None reached Storm’s level of detail except Weather Mate, which actually surpassed Storm with its historical almanac and travel features. Hourly and daily forecasts are superb in the breadth and depth of detail. Including things like dew point give us weather junkies data that we can use to formulate in our own minds what the weather will be. Stored complete forecasts for 10 locations and the ease of moving from one to another is a great feature. Well worth the cost. It’s the first app I open when I wake in the morning. To the developer: please change the clock. It’s too big. Put the time under the date. Use this valuable screen real estate to display a thumbnail of the radar for that location. If that’s not possible, use the space to display the data in a larger size. It’s a weather app, not a timepiece.

BEST weather app for iphone and watch!. Weather mate pro has everything i wanted and more for following all the weather. and with the new watch complication, you get all the amazing weather details on your watch. plus the same alerts/ warnings/ etc you get on your phone. the amount of customization you can choose is amazing. for example, to start, choose the weather station you prefer from the places you've picked. then customize the different complications on your watch. i give it 5 stars! since, nothing is perfect, here's what i'd like to see changed. change the big part in the top box, it gives me the feeling of an older digital alarm clock. i always wished that the time display and blue bulls eye/wind direction gauge was done differently. and definitely not so big, it's out of sync with the rest of the more modern and somehow friendlier looking graphics. i like the big weather graphic in the top box though (sun behind the clouds, sun, etc...). and lastly, i love all the weather details now available on my watch. but in the future, being able to view all the details for more than one location (current or home), on the watch, would be great. so, home/current location plus other picks (los angeles, washington d.c., etc.) available to view on the watch. even so, this weather app still stomps all the others. for loads of clear, useful, detailed, timely and customizable weather data (in the usa and beyond), this is the weather app to have.

My Current Go-to Weather app. Oct. 2020: I had problems with this app in previous iOS versions, but the last few it has done more than the other apps I’ve tried over the years. It plays well with iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch. Sometimes updating my watch is laggy but the info available on the watch is robust. ********************* Prior to Oct. 2020: I love everything about this app on my iPhone and iPad. However, the way notifications work on my watch is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. It took me the better part of a week to find out what the random audible notification I kept getting on my watch with no visible indication what the sound was for. Honestly I don’t know how I determined it was this app, but it is. (When I take it off of one of my complications it goes away-add & the notification come back) I don’t want random audio notifications, and there is not way to turn the audible off. I’ve turned it off on my phone but there’s not an option on the watch to disable sound notifications. Everything else this app does on my watch is exactly what I want a weather app to do. It’s info and data rich and in my area it can be extremely important to have the extra info when the weather changes often and rapidly at times. **NOTE: This notification problem was not an issue until the most recent app update.

Best app to replace now useless Storm. Storm from Weather Underground used to be my go to weather app until a few years ago it was taken over by IBM and then later sold to the Weather Channel. The quality and usefulness of the app gradually deteriorated. Then in it’s corporate wisdom The Weather Channel decided to start charging a user fee for content that was once free. Adding insult to injury, when they pushed out their “new” app a couple of years ago, they disabled the old app so it was no longer functional. That’s when my search for a replacement app began. In the user comments for the Storm app the user suggested Weather Mate. I made the switch and haven’t looked back. During the use of Weather Mate I’ve occasionally noticed some glitches and reported it. The Support staff has been quick to respond and generally within a day or two a new release is posted with the glitch solved. Thank You Tech Support!!!

Kudos to both the app and the customer service. I love the app and the way it presents a wealth of data in a way that is easy to configure and take in. I'm particularly impressed with the plethora of options for the Apple Watch and its Complications. I did, however, have a problem with the Watch version and its apparent unwillingness to accept my preference for metric display units as selected in the iPhone version. I contacted customer service and received a reply, within a day, that told me concisely how to fix the problem. In case other users may be experiencing a similar issue, I present herewith the advice given: "Please open the Weather Mate app on both your iPhone & Apple Watch simultaneously. Go to iPhone app settings, change the Temperature setting to Fahrenheit & then back to Celsius. This should fix the problem on Watch app." It worked like a charm! I then repeated the procedure with the other settings in turn and watched as they all fell into line. This now my favorite weather app for iOS/WatchOS.

Finally, a worthy replacement for Storm. As others have noted, Storm used to be *the* app for weather nerds, balancing radar views with forecast data and practical usability. But then The Weather Channel got its hands on it and all was lost. I must’ve tried two dozen weather apps over the last few months looking for an alternative, and Weather Mate is absolutely the best choice. Top-notch data presented completely and intelligently with a host of options for reordering or culling how it’s displayed. No “cutesy” reinventions that dumb down forecast information to barely useful tidbits or a single obtuse icon like so many apps do. I also like that it’s one of the few apps that displays the full NWS forecast text (if you want it). Finally, it’s also one of the cheapest, with no subscription required. I like that. My one criticism would be (and why I give it four stars instead of five) there are elements of the user interface that look like they’re straight out of iOS 6. Hard-coded old style buttons and widgets that really should be modernized. It gives the app the appearance of abandonware. But I’m willing to forgive this oversight because everything else about it is so good. Kudos to the developers For keeping the data plentiful and at the forefront of the app’s purpose.

Most Complete Weather App. As a fruit grower and IPM Specialist, I depend on a complete and accurate weather app to make critical pest management decisions. I used WU Storm which gave me everything I needed including animated Surface Air and Jet Stream movements. And we all know what happened to Storm. The Weather Channel decided to can an excellent app for their very inferior Storm Radar. After weeks of searching, I found WeatherMate. The only thing it was missing was storm tracks and animated Surface Air/Jet Stream and they have since added the storm tracks with severity and hail info. This is critical to fruit growing. As far as accuracy, I get the most accurate data available for my location.... From my own weather station in the orchard. And can check three other stations within a 5 mile radius to make sure my calibrations are consistent. This is the best app going right now.......and will be the absolute best out there once Air Stream animations are added!

THE BEST. I thought I had found the right weather app. That is until I found Weather Mate Pro. And I had to randomly stumble upon it! Searching "weather" does not have it pop up. After using the free version for less than 10 minutes I had no doubt about upgrading and was blown away by the price. It is the most complete app I've found. The sheer amount of information available can be mind boggling. The developers give users the settings to control this information flow. All this with a not too busy user interface. Radar choices are likewise through and controllable. More, radar servers and displays are the quickest of any of the apps I have used. The AppleWatch options are likewise complete. Within a half hour Weather Mate Pro took the place of my preferred app on both phone and watch. Easily worth triple the price. I would pay similarly for a desktop version.

Changes for the better. I purchased this app to replace WU Storm that just went by the wayside. After my purchase, the app crashed, radar didn’t work, etc. I notified the developers and deleted the app. I was informed that changes were being made, and to my surprise, all of the issues were corrected. The Storm app was the best weather app I’ve ever used, and this is the closest thing to it. This app would actually be better than the Storm app but for two things: 1. Some sort of radar view on the home screen or the ability to set the radar view as the default. 2. The ability to “quick pick” map layers in a mini toolbar on the map screen like storm track, watches/warnings, etc. I live in Tornado Alley and having the ability to quickly view different views on the radar is very beneficial. But those two things are just “wish list” items.

Mathematician. Five star fantastic. Best in one weather that I have seen. Temperatures are weather stations Which solved the confusion in mountain regions where the temperature varies by altitude and location, from ridge tops to valleys. Not one weather app solved this dilemma. This app gives temperature in my area within a high degree of accuracy. Thus I can easily see why 2 miles away the temperature is not a true report to my location. I have several thermometers at the house since I never had an app that gave me any information. For example: Ten miles away the temperature might say -4 degrees Fahrenheit, where at my house it's 25 degrees Fahrenheit. This is no exaggeration!!! Now I have an app that shows temp at the nearby airport and the temperature near my house. Four years buying apps and oh my goodness comes this one. Thank you for the research and programming.

A METEOROLOGIST REVIEW. Although, I’ve officially been a meteorologist for only a year, I would say I know a thing or two about the weather from all my time in college. And let STRESS how important it is to use NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) for your weather source. This is the most accurate weather data and it is assessable to everyone, not just meteorologists. BUT, I’ve always wanted to experience the convenience of weather apps, and the NWS doesn’t provide an official app. So I did some searching on all the top rated weather apps on the App Store and checked all their weather sources, since most aren’t listed in their general description. And all the other apps pull weather data from third party providers, which is a recipe for errors, even if they’re small, in weather forecasts. So to say I was excited to find this app that emphases they use NWS and NOAA for their app, is an understatement. Also, a major perk is it being compatible to use as a widget on the newest iPhone updates, so all I do is scroll left and all my weather data is up and refreshed for me without having to open the app. The standard free version of the app is great itself but I highly recommend spending the one time $3.99 for the upgraded version of the app. The upgrade allows you to view much more weather on your screens widget page so there’s never a need to open the app. Just scroll and look and go!

Best widgets and watch complications. UPDATE: I confirm everything I said in the past, and I like to see they are pushing recent updates again which is great! I wish they could redesign the look within the app to a more modern and updated look, other than that this app is still A+. In terms of looks, I feel carrot weather is the best plus it allows to personalize the layout but this app is much better for all devices. PREVIOUS REVIEW: This app has a lot of information and the best widgets, frankly I wish they had a a better layout and updated design more like the actual apple weather app or carrot weather app, but none of those has better little square widgets for iPhone than this app, and that’s all I use this app for by now until they redesign the layout once you open the app. If they ever manage to do that, I’m pretty sure this will be the only weather app I’ll use. They also have the best Apple Watch complications configuration so you can make them look with the info you desire, this app is so close to being perfect, hoping they redesign their in app looks and layouts🤞🏻

Best Weather App. I've tried a number of different weather apps and Weather Mate Pro is by far the best. Lots of useful data, including hourly and predictive radar. No ads or glitzy, pointless graphics using valuable screen space. (If I were building the app, I would make the clock a little smaller as I’m looking for the weather, not the time, when I open it.) I transitioned from Storm after they discontinued their ad-free subscription option and much prefer Weather Mate Pro anyway. The support team is top notch with quick responses to issues. FEATURE REQUEST: A quick way to see the weather in a particular location without going to settings and adding it to the list of cities, only to immediately delete that location after viewing the desired information.

My new go-to weather app!. Just found my new go-to weather app. Was a long time user of the Weather Underground and subsequent Storm apps, but recent changes in the Storm business model has prompted me to go looking for a new app; and, I think I have found it. The amount of information available rivals that of Storm. Weather Mate has a comprehension amount of information available that can be customized to one's particular interests/needs. As a weather geek, I especially appreciate the availability of weather fronts, as well as the centers of circulation (highs and lows). Most weather apps only show radar information on their maps. In my mind, knowing what the fronts look like helps me to not only understand what is driving the local weather that appears on the radar; but, to interpreted what the future weather will be. Only annoyance I have found so far is with the main screen. The prominent display and location of the clock/day/date is distracting and not warranted. I would rather see the high/low temperature data swapped with the clock data. I am using the app for weather information, not as my watch. Keep up the good work.

Was hoping that Weather Mate would fix some of its issues. AND THEY DID!. After an exhausting search over a year ago to replace Storm, I decided to go with Weather Mate. There were Holes in its features. But those seem to have now been fixed! Noticeably for me was the lack of a jet/wind stream indicator. Once that was added, it somehow conflicted with the satellite imagery and it took several months to resolve that. Now both operate together on this platform well. My most recently discovered feature that I will be using frequently is the smokecover indicator located within the active fire feature. For most of us in the Western US, this may prove to be a very valuable tool during the Summer months. I don’t think any app is perfect, and would give WM a 4.5 if offered. But given it’s not, this is as close to perfect as any weather app I’ve found! 5 stars.

Best Apple Watch App. I recently bought and installed an Ambient Weather Station on my roof. With the weather station on my roof, I can have instant access to temperature, wind direction and speed, humidity, relative pressure and rainfall. The apps for my iPhone are very good but this Weather Mate app is outrageous. There are 3 screens that give all the parameters from my station and it constructs detailed forecasts that I can lookup on my wrist. You can even zero in on the weather at specific hours. I first downloaded the free version and within 5 minutes I bought the pro version because I realized this is the promised land of Apple Watch Apps. All you app developers out there, check this app to see how our expensive watches can perform to the max. Excellent job Weather Mate... You have developed an app that is leaps ahead of anything I've seen made for the Apple Watch.

Exactly what I wanted.. I have spent so much money on related apps. Living in FL the weather can change by the hour. I purchased this on a perfectly sunny day after looking across the water towards my home inland and noticing the dark skies. I know that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s storming where I live EXACTLY so I started looking for a NEW RELIABLE APP. I decided to go ahead and purchase the pro version. What sold me was the fact it used the actual NOAA RADAR and the radar I could scroll minute by minute using my finger instead of having to use a “pause/play” feature. I literally can narrow it down to the minute it’s going to start raining or any crazy weather is possible! So far I’ve tracked winds for fishing and even Hurricane Michael and the wind speed! It’s been amazing! I have deleted all other weather apps. My only complaint is I don’t have the loud default alerts for serious weather. Once I activated this app it pretty much cancelled all other default weather notifications for my iPhone.

The developers really care. The developers of this app have poured their hearts into it, and it shows. It’s full of virtually everything any weather hound could want, with multiple user options on what to display. The graphics could use some more design work, but apparently these very responsive developers are already hard at work on that too. Kudos! I like the text descriptions of the day’s weather, summarizing all the numbers. Also cool to see the current temperature displayed right on the home page icon. Clever! Maybe someday the icon itself will change to picture the current weather, though I imagine Apple may not allow that. Some quirks still to be worked out: displaying negative numbers for the temperature (common for Celsius) and textual wind speed in knots. Yet the wind speed and direction compass is excellent, even showing the wind direction moving slightly to indicate that wind is never steady. (I’m a sailor so I’m intimately familiar with this.) Evidently the developers are also planning to make the clock smaller (we all have many other sources of the time), which should allow some of the more weather-related displays to enlarge. One suggestion to the developers: don’t worry about adding more features for now, at least before the display is revised. This app has plenty!

Outstanding weather app!. For years I have searched for a great weather app. I was a long time user of Intellicast and Storm and could not find a great replacement until I found WeatherMate. This app is the closest one I have found. I have quite a few other apps (Dark Sky, Accuweather, Weatherbug) and several other radar and storm warning programs, plus a few others now deleted as they went to subscription serve or were just terrible. I no longer consult other apps because WeatherMate does it all so much better. I do wish they had more weather stations in my storm-prone rural area but the composite I use is not bad. I do keep some other weather apps on my iPhone for bad weather notifications just in case the composite station misses a bad storm but so far the notifications are duplicated in WeatherMate. WeatherMate sometimes sends the notices a few seconds to a minute later though so I keep a few other apps on my phone just in case as seconds can make a difference in getting to shelter in time.

Great weather app!. 2nd rating July 2020. Still 5 stars and worth the price which is very reasonable. I have 6 different weather apps and this is the one I always check first!!!! This weather app has so much content and is very easy to use and to access the content on it. The user interface is intuitive rather than technical and it’s not difficult to figure out. Absolutely worth the few dollars it costs. Knowing the different elements of weather is very important to me. I get migraines and many of them are triggered by changes in weather, especially the change in barometric pressure. There are several different ways to check the pressure, humidity, dew point, and air currents. It also shows where the boundaries of high and low pressure areas are located. If weather is important to you for any reason then you need this app!

Weather Mate Pro is the PWS app everyone should have... Weather Mate Pro is a perfect companion for PWS (Personal Weather Station) owners or observers. After a couple of months of running WMP, I can, for at least my setup, view my home PWS and have Official NWS observations along with the community of PWS observers all in one excellent app with accurate historical data. Access to Official NWS statements without having to use other apps to me a great bonus. I have eliminated several paid and free apps. The radar has storm tracks that’s similar to the popular Storm/WU. Storm notifications are so far quick and accurate. This app literally takes the good out of several now defunct apps or ones that have changed over time. The features seem endless. I have been looking for a PWS app with this much reference and customization for years. This app Pro version is well worth the $5 fee. This weather app is perfect for casual weather and for those wanting to view their PWS systems in the weather community. I eliminated several paid and free apps because of this Weather Mate Pro. I hope you have such good fortune as well. Thank you to the developers of this app!

Excellent source of weather data. your maps and the details on weather facts are the besavailable to me because I can easily find the oncoming weather systems wether it is rain, snow, wind or whatever. The maps are better than any other weather app map available. I lo it as it is available. I like the daily summaries for the week ahead. I am able to look ahead as well as history. I use it daily. Thanks This is the best weather app of all I have used. It is easy to use and I can read it easily despite AMD. The map is easy to understand and estimate the arrival of weather. I love the hourly forecast. Thank you for all the wonderful data. Well I still think you are super with about all aspects of the weather station. I ditto all the above.! I still feel very positive about this app. Keep up Yuen’s details you provide in such a simple , useful, clear format.

A Weather App that actually Works!. Since the Weather Channel has ruined apps that used to work, this is my go to wx app. The fronts are actually displayed correctly! I use it every day. Highly recommend! Update: Still my favorite. Does everything that I need it to do. Update #2: latest update changed how thunderstorm cells are displayed. The icons are bigger but cover the raw radar information so much that I had to turn storm tracks off. Also, tapping on a thunder storm cell displays information about the cell, but too much! There needs to be an option to toggle off the laundry list of generally useless details. Storm tops (the most useful information about a thunderstorm’s severity) are displayed now in meters versus feet. Aviation users in the US still use feet and that would be preferred or make it a toggled option. Just friendly input!

I use this frequently. I chose this originally because it is one of the few weather mapping apps I’ve run across with a “fronts” layer. In my area, the location of high and low pressure centers and the nature of the fronts between them are very helpful in understanding what weather changes I can expect. The wind animation feature, something I haven’t seen before, is very well conceived and executed! It shows me (motorcyclist, sailor, and rotorcraft pilot) at a brief glance how surface winds are flowing and how that might change in time. Combined w radar and fronts layers, I can tell a lot about what to expect in my day. When I got the app originally, the free version ads delayed the opening of the map feature, but once I paid to remove them, the app has performed well. I’ve recently begun using the (new?) option to show the map first upon opening the app, which has been very convenient. Overall, this app is working extremely well for what I need to know about the weather.

You will not be disappointed with the pro version. This continues to be one of the best weather apps with the most comprehensive array of weather data that you can find. As if the barrage of information it provides wasn’t enough, the customization options for the Apple Watch are truly what set this app apart from it’s competitors. Lastly, these are some of the most responsive developers that I have dealt with on ANY app. Dealing with a bug? Send them an email. Have ideas for a new feature? Write a review, and chances are that they’ll eventually implement it into their app. Although I will admit, their are still some features that the community has been asking for that have yet to be implemented, I feel like that’s more due to reasons beyond the developer’s control. Regardless, this is one of the most complete weather apps you’ll find, and you should definitely spring for the pro version.

Most accurate & beautiful weather app. There was a storm recently in my area. I had three weather apps on my phone(2 free and 1 paid), all of which predicted 5-8 inches of snow, followed by sleet and freezing rain. A friend of mine told me prior to the storm that we are only getting ice and not snow. I argued that my weather apps were showing snow and he said he trusted his source. As it turned out, he was correct, so I asked what his source was and he told me about Weather Mate. He showed me the app and it’s features and I immediately downloaded it. What a beautifully designed app, which has so many more features and customizable options that none of the other weather apps had. I admit that I’m a bit infatuated with monitoring the weather and this app is perfect. This is probably the wisest $5 purchase I’ve ever made.

Best weather app!. Got a new iPad and tried another weather app, even payed for it. Waste of money! Weather Mate is free and has the best appearance, information, forecast (of course they get it wrong sometimes as does everyone, weather is fickle). Most important the radar is clear and specific making it easy to plan (do I have time to mow the lawn before it rains or do I run out and close the car windows now). There is a radar lag of up to 15 minutes which is clearly noted, but with familiarity it's workable. Map overlays provide wide variety of information. Ability to list multiple locations so I can keep up with the weather where my friends live all over the country (or the world for that matter) is great! Reporting locations are nearby so the temperature is accurate for preparing for the morning dog walk. Lots of data! I got Weather Mate when Storm went away and everything but the radar lag is as good or better. Keep up the good work!

I’d say it’s worth the money 👍🏼. It’s not perfect, but it’s an all-around good app. It’s certainly the best-looking weather app I’ve seen, and aesthetics are important to me. The graphics and customization options are great — even my husband commented on how nice it looked when he saw me use it for the first time. I love (the idea of) the temperature app badge and the fact that I can customize the app and widget to show (or not show!) any piece of weather information I want. The biggest issue I have, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that even though I have all the permissions in place and the background refresh setting as it should be, it doesn’t always update itself... which means the app badge and the widget are sometimes wrong until I actually open the app and manually refresh it. It’s easy to do, but it defeats the purpose if those 2 extra features. And again, it’s only on occasion and not all the time, but they’re incorrect often enough that I don’t really trust either of them to be accurate... making them pretty useless in a state like Ohio, where yesterday it got up to 73° and today it’ll get down to 30°. If it doesn’t update hourly, it’s probably going to be very wrong!

Best, Amazingly accurate & worth every penny!. So, let’s be honest here, I tried many other weather apps prior to this one and I have to say, when I found this one; I just knew my search was over! When comparing the prior apps to Weather Mate, well put simply: “Yup, this is the one to sink a few dollars in.” Radar is accurate and spot on for my local area, (due to local weather stations connected to WiFi and making there information usable by others, and/or one is able to purchase a personal weather station and is able to directly sync the information to the app itself!) as well as any where I may travel: I’ll have reliable real-time weather forecast! To make this review basically short and sweet; highly recommend this app to everyone who really wants reliable information with almost near perfection, in my opinion. I should know, I’ve been using this app for almost 2 years and it’s the only app I’ve used for my personal use, as well planning outings with my family and friends! Everything! Five stars, wish I could give more! Keep up the amazing work- to those who are behind the scenes working with this app! “Ku-Dos” 👍🏻👏🏻🙌🏻✋🏻

Amazing Weather app. This is an amazing app. That says a lot coming from a weatherman of 40 years! It has some areas in need of improvement, so I can’t give it 5 stars, but it is the best observed weather app I’ve used to date. The radar animation goes back six hours (hurray!) but the time sensitive overlays, like warnings or advisories, are displayed for the entire 6-hour animation even though they were in effect for only 15 minutes of that period. That’s what I find most annoying, but overall, an enjoyable app even from a cynical weatherman like me! Bravo! Update: I’ve been encountering a crash issue lately when it loads up. To solve it, I have to delete the app, then reinstall, and then reconfigure all my lost preferences. That too, is annoying, but it is still an app that I recommend to my friends. Another update: I still experience infrequent crashes (several versions of the app later) that render the app useless and cannot be relaunched. I have to delete the app and reinstall it, then reconfigure my preferences. I can have a lot more patience if I can simply relaunch after a crash, but starting completely over each time is extremely annoying.

Love this app.. I love this app because I can see the temperature around my neighborhood. This has confirmed what I have always known because I am a gardener. I am in a cool pocket. I have learned so much about my weather by reading all the info they have. I upgraded to the pro version & it’s lovely without the ads. The app works great. Everything opens & closes as it should every time. And it’s obvious. I like the the option of checking my family’s weather so I know what’s going on. All far flung from each other. I haven’t noticed or tried to find anything additional about the pro version, just the removal of ads, which is very important if you are housing it on your cell phone. On my iPad it’s beautiful. Support is quick & helpful. I have been using this app for a few months and I haven’t changed my opinion, if anything I love it more. Get it, upgrade, you’ll be glad you did.

Best app to replace Storm!. Weather Underground’s Storm app has been my favorite weather app for years, but unfortunately it was taken over by TWC and they shut it down. Their new “TWC Storm” app is awful and does not have the weather data and map layers I desire, so I set out in search of a new weather app. You could say I’m a bit picky about my weather app. There are tons of apps out there and I downloaded them all to try out, but none of the others have what Weather Mate offers. I love: -The hybrid map setting. -The dual/overlapping satellite and radar layer. -The flexibility to adjust layers: I usually always have the sat/radar layer, storm tracks, weather fronts, lightning, and hurricane layers on since we live in FL. -The ability to adjust the weather parameters/data I see in the current and hourly forecasts (this has more data than the Storm app!). -The intuitiveness of the layout, such as daily to hourly forecasts. -The customer service. I have had a couple email exchanges with them and have received fast responses back. I believe a good weather app should provide you with all the data you could ever want, but allow you to configure it to suit your needs in an intuitive manner with a clean look. This app does that! (I liked the app so much I decided to buy the ad free version.)

Pretty close to perfect.... Update: Finally formatted to fit iPhone X screen! Thank you! Still waiting on UI update and map zoom start feature a year after this original review was written, but once again customer support is the BEST in the App Store – or anywhere else for that matter... The reintroduction of the WeatherRadio is fabulous. AND, the lightning, storm tracking and other layer data on the map is extensive and pretty accurate as far as I can tell. Although the UI could perhaps use a little modern spit and polish, this app has something even better going for it than the best weather forecasting -- it's got responsive customer support. The rest should take a lesson. All that aside -- I have found the forecasting very accurate and the oodles of customizable data very welcome. I live in Southwest Florida where weather can change on a dime, so the more data the better. The only complaint I had about their super quick-loading radar was that the initial view was so zoomed out it takes a lot of pinching to zoom in to my city. But they responded immediately to let me know they are working on providing a custom zoom setting. Still waiting on that, but a tiny inconvenience. Awesome. So five stars even if it's not yet perfect.

Awesome App, awesome developers. This is a terrific app that is very flexible and customizable. I highly recommend it. I’ve been using it several years now and it has consistently given me the detailed timely information I need. While it can present you with tons of data, it is also great for more casual users. Clean solid and intuitive interface and lots of thoughtful well executed features. The developers are also really pleasant and responsive. I reached out to them a while ago because of a glitch with the radar overlay layers. They got back to me right away and had already been working on the fix. They gave me an easy work around to use until they completed their fix. Also had to reach out to them about a setting I was having trouble with, (totally user error) and they were super pleasant and guided me to the setting. You’ll be pleased if you get the app and it’ll probably be on your home page in no time!

One of the best, with a few issues. This is the best app if you like to use PWS data so you know exactly where your weather data is coming from AND you are sick of Wunderground, which is almost useless anymore. This app has lots of features and a nice clean interface, beautiful graphics and a nice radar. However there are a few things I don’t like. I find it hard to save my PWS as my default weather station. Sometimes it will show all the others in the surrounding area but not mine even though it is at my location and working fine! But my biggest issue is with weather notifications. Even though I have notifications on for my location and allowed in my iPhone settings I just don’t seem to get them with any regularity. Today for example we had a Winter Weather Advisory at 1323. I didn’t get the notification from this app until 1730!!! 4 hours later! That’s unacceptable, especially for severe weather and is the only reason I keep Wunderground, because their weather notifications are reliable and punctual. I have the paid version of the app and tried to contact customer support. But when I do I get an error that there is no email account associated with my device with no directions on how to do so. Fix these issues and I’ll give this app 5 stars.

First rate weather app. This is my go-to weather app. It provides comprehensive information in an easy to use format. I especially like the radar map with the distance rings around my location. Also helpful is the ability to select the monitoring station that provides the app’s data. The station I picked is close to me and I get very accurate information. There are two things on my wish list: 1. It would be great if lightning could be added to the Weather Parameters list. It could be displayed like the visibility, in miles. The distance would be the range to the nearest recent lightning. 2. The iPhone app would be even more useful if it had the ability to display the radar map in both landscape and portrait formats. That would make it easy to track a storm moving in any direction. This is definitely a five-star app!

The best weather app I’ve found so far. The best weather app I’ve found so far. I was using the Storm app until it recently got run into the ground by a certain weather company. This app is very customizable, giving you the option to select weather parameters (temp, heat index, wind chill, rain amount, pressure, cloud cover and a whole lot more) for current conditions, hourly forecast and even the Notification Center widget. I also like the fact that you can choose weather stations at airports. The weather history and travel planner is a cool idea too, although I wish you could pick/search locations for these instead of having to use a weather station (as it is now I have to add a new location to get that location’s weather history or use the travel planner for that location). You can also change the name of your locations. I would highly recommend this app as anyone’s go to weather app.

Excellent Weather App. Like many, I have been bemoaning the loss of the excellent Storm weather app. Having tried at least ten other weather apps trying to find a good replacement, I had about given up. I finally tried Weather Mate and am pleased to say that it is an excellent app, and comes the closest to being as good as Storm. Weather Mate Pro gives you the basics at a quick glance, but also provides more detailed information for those needing it, as well as for weather enthusiasts. Bottom line: If you have been looking for a Storm replacement, or just a good, all around weather app, you can't go wrong with Weather Mate. I am quite pleased with the app as is, but would eventually like to see more stations added to the NOAA radio, more alert notification selections, and the ability to pick multiple alert overlays rather than just one or all.

Best Weather App You'll Find!. There's simply nothing else like it in the app store. This is the most accurate and feature-rich app on the market. I'm saying this based on personal evaluation of over twenty popular apps (and not so popular ones). It provides a perfect blend of accurate current, forecast, and historical weather information. The radar projections are phenomenal! They're tied to the IBM / Weather Underground modeling, which is very timely and responsive. The future rendering is amazingly accurate. And the forecasts are based on Weather Underground data, which is consistently within ForecastAdvisor's top three throughout the US. Even better, you can tie local weather information to a personal weather station near you. This is INCREDIBLY valuable! I live in an area with significant microclimate variations. The closest "official" weather station is about ten miles away and almost always significantly different from my location. However, a nearby PWS is almost always spot-on. As a result, I can get real temp and precipitation readings for "home" through a major weather service app. Simply amazing!

Dump Storm Radar, Get WeatherMate!. update: I’ve asked them to find a way to show wind gusts without having to tap and get a basic pop up box. It’s the most unpolished part of an otherwise neat design. We’ll see if it gets changed. I’ve pointed out a glitch in the past and they fixed it and notified me. Still packs the most info of any weather app. Explore all the menu options, and tap and press here and there!! update: I love the graphs from the PWS stations. At a glance I can see pressure and wind changes and know what to expect. Want to know if it dipped below freezing overnight? Just look. 6 stars. Don’t waste your time or money on any other weather tool. update: Fires and smoke plumes got fixed, after they had lost their source. They are actively trying to improve WeatherMate. update: The update on August 26 adds so much — forecast discussion, measurements, range rings, and more. Yes! update: Each version just keeps getting better. So easy now to find stations and information on them. Composite now available. I am more than happy with WeatherMate, since the Weather Entertainment Channel dumped Storm. Love having weather fronts displayed. Easy to use, but make VERY SURE you choose an airport or reliable PWS for your source. The default will find the closest one, but not likely the best. Customer service is great — I reported an issue, got a confirmation email, and an email when the issue was fixed!

The Best, Bar None!. Can’t find my original review to update, so writing a new one. Originally gave it 5 stars, would give it six now after the excellent customer support I got yesterday! Wendy, you are SUPER! App went down for me yesterday in North Carolina. Would open and then shut down in about 3 secs., both on my iPad and iPhone. Tried hard re-boots and app reinstall to no avail. Filed a support request and had a reply back in about a half hour. Unbelievable! Support person went to work on the problem and found the issue, put in a rev. to Apple and the rev. was released about 4 hours later. Was trying to stay up-to-date on TS Arthur’s track and forecast, so was very happy with getting the app back up. Weather Mate is my go-to Wx app. Has everything I could want, and does it beautifully. Particularly like being able to turn on ‘fronts’. I’m still old school. They just keep updating with new and useful features every year. It’s like a Swiss Army knife - all the essentials (and then some), and easy to use. Can’t ask for more. Keep up the good work folks!

Near perfect app. This weather app is really nice. It delivers forecast data in an easy to read style. The models it uses seem to agree frequently with a weather underground, which is good. However, there is a bit more data presented. Where the app shines is the map section. This app gives the option to see position of highs, lows, fronts and the like. The only thing missing is a dry line. All in all, it’s a great weather app. UPDATE: I’ve used app several months, and found no problems. It has replaced Storm as my preferred app. Second Update: still satisfied. I really like to be able to see the winds at various levels. Only change I’d make is showing highs and lows more prominently on map, showing the dry line. If they want 6 stars, add things like water vapor imagery and the like. It would also be great if the fronts, etc moved with the radar. Actually, no matter how much they add, I’d ask for more!

This has become my go to weather app. I’m kind of a weather app nerd.. I have just over a dozen. I used to call WU (weather underground) my favorite, but it got buggy and less reliable. So I switched to this one and have yet to be disappointed. It has all the weather info you could possibly want, it correctly locates me every time, it has a watch complication (sometimes the temp updating lags, but I think they are all like that). It has a decent radar, I like the recent addition of the radius rings to help see how far away storms are. The only thing I think is lacking is if you use carrot or dark sky, they give you a better idea for when rain will start/stop and have some nice graphs. Also sometimes I just want to see the current radar picture, but it has to load the last several hours to animate which takes some time.. But an app can never be perfect! Update July 2023: Years later, still one of the best weather apps I have. Best radar of all the weather apps I have. I find myself always looking for a new and awesome weather app, I try most of em out there. But always wind up back to the ‘ol trusty Weather Mate

Great weather app. Fantastic app, have tried many weather apps, but I really like this one

Need ‘Feels like temp’. Hi team, please include the real feels like temp. Ever since purchasing the app, it’s always been the same as the actual temp. Even when BOM has significant wind chill less than temp.

Becoming my favourite weather app. The future 6 hours rain fall is marvellous. All the other features I still have to explore.

Best weather app for local info. No other weather app comes close. It identified my PWS immediately without a hitch - other apps, including Wunderground always confuse my PWS with my neighbour, 1 km away. All the customisation and display choices I need and more. Highly recommended. Well worth the price.

Awesome weather app. Great weather app. Very accurate, with a beautiful look. Has all the information you’ll need. The ability to add my personal weather station was a great bonus. Well done to the developer .

Widget issue. There seems to be an issue on the Home Screen widget for the radar map where the Google map image disappears. It reappears if you click into the app, but that defeats the purpose. Is there any work around for this? The widget is the sole reason I paid $8aud for this 😂 Thanks!

Not quite there with accuracy. Excellent features and information, but I have monitored readings for my area for close to 3 months. Your temp readings are consistently 6-8 degrees Centigrade higher than at least 3 other apps are telling me for same time and place of reading. Check your source! Something is not right. 1 degree either way? Will give you the doubt, but what I am seeing?.......

Weather. 10/10 great app must have weather app

Exceptional. Only issue I’ve got is that it does not really cover winds very well but the weather radar is about the best I think

Great app. Meets all needs, the broadest range of options I have seen in a weather app, well done!

Great app. Can’t wait to see what upgrades and added features come next.

Love it!!. My default weather app for Australia, Sydney. Pro version here and pretty accurate weather. Keep it up guys. Thank you.

One of the best. This has got to be one of the best weather apps I have come across

AWESOME app!. So far I'm finding it does all that it says and goes into great detail (when you explore all the icons and what they mean) .... someone has gone to a lot of effort creating this app and getting it right! WELL DONE!!! However I wish you’d stop the annoying reminders to “rate the app” when I’ve already done s!!

Weather Mate. I am fairly weather obsessed and this my all time favourite weather! I especially like the feature that link into individuals weather stations for accurate reading in backyards near me not just the generalised BoM measurements.

Watch Complications. Needs an option to set individual slots for Apple Watch complications. Nobody wants the same complication set in all 4 corners for example yet that seems to be how it works. Apparently this was acknowledged a couple of years back with a fix coming but as of October 2022 it’s still all or nothing. A shame, because the app is otherwise well thought out, responsive and feature rich. Fixing the watch would easily make it 5 stars and personally recommend to everyone I know with iOS / Apple Watch

Weather Mate. Great app. User friendly with extensive & accurate information. Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Weather Mate. Great app I am starting to use it regularly now

Best weather app. Best weather app I’ve ever had It can show the weather in 20 places around the world It has the air quality. It has everything you need to know about the weather.

Great weather mate. Great app, very accurate and lots of weather stations available.

Weather mate. Easy to use and can check weather anywhere.

Top Class. Great weather forecast app

WeatherMate. Use this app. often throughout each day and find it excellent - just what I require.

Useful. Very useful in an area that has its own micro climate. Handy to see how far away the instruments are.

A no-frills, functional overview of conditions.. A comprehensive, useful tool with a wide range of related weather information, including medium forecasting. I find it reliable and user friendly.

Best and most accurate on the market. I’ve tried several similar apps but this one is the best

Quite like this app.. I was in need of a replacement for Pocketweather because Shifty Jelly doesnt support or update it anymore. This one is pretty good. It accesses Wunderground and is a bit more reliable than wunderground's own apps. I'd like an option for weather updates to be less frequent, because it eats battery on my watch. Other than that (thats where the 5th star disappeared to) its a great app and worth getting.

Best Weather App. Out of all the app I have downloaded this is by far the best for Australian weather. The free version is more than adequate and is better than premium versions of the others. Because I prefer to be ad free and needed multiple location alerts it was well worth the small charge to go premium.

This weather mate pro app is very good.. It gives me all the weather information I need for the places around the world that I’m interested in.

Terrific weather app. This app provides up-to-date and accurate weather information from the many points of interest from around the world, plus a multitude of additional services. Great app.

Col Review. I was hoping to see all rain heading our way but the app only seems to show heavier downfalls. It was raining at my location when the app indicated no rain within 30 kilometres. Apart from that I have found the app to be excellent.

Great weather app. Gives the hourly detail that I need. It has the most reliable predictions of all the apps I’ve tested.

IHM. Have been using it for a long time and still find it very good, always checking into it, forecast for best days to get out on my mobility scooter. Keep up the good work and update for the new iOS.

Have tried them all and settled on this!. I use this app on my phone and Apple Watch. Love the interfaces on both devices, especially the AW. I have used several other apps and find that this one is well worth the price due to the accuracy and custom fields. I would like tide information included in future updates but besides this I will continue to use this app and recommend to people. Thanks.

Weather mate pro. Very nice app packed with info, used most days many thanks👍 Still perfect thanks again Keep up the good work,my go to weather app 😀 Still using and enjoying the info on the app thanks again. Lyndon😀 Still enjoying all the information in this app🥃wish I could fill it for you. Lyndon

Great localised data. Love how I can tap into local / home weather stations near me. Great considering the nearest BOM one is 25km away. Hope the next update brings with it some of the improvements apple included around watch complications

Alex Kaldi. Almost a 5 star the only thing lacking is to increase the radar history up to 6hrs like in other weather Apps. Other than that it beats the rest hands down. Well worth it. I will be cancelling my subscription to the other Apps that I use. 😎👍🏼🇦🇺 A lot better with a 2 hour history played on the radar Very happy with the app now. I'm only running this weather App now 👍🏼😎 Australia Still the best Weather App I have used....I love that I can add cities from around the world especially when planning holidays. It’s now a 6star rating in my opinion. 👍🏻 Nothing has changed still the best weather App on the market! Keep up the good work.

Good app but the interface needs some work. I like the app, it is useful, although still somewhat difficult to use. For example. I can’t find sunrise and sunset times, they must be here. Similarly, the buttons to open other features are so small I can hardly use them. Better than apple but not excellent.

Great Aussie Weather App. Giving this 5 stars because it serves my needs for checking accurate weather and rain forecast, and has a few other features I’ve found useful - such as a more extended forecast, useful data for each location and the ability to view data from local and other weather towers. The app could use some improvements, such as an updated UI - the post skeuomorphic design is outdated and needs simplification and minimalism, eg. the expand button should be added to the persistent UI elements at the top, instead of having one on every forecast day.

Local weather stations no longer working. This was my preferred weather app, but for the last few weeks all local Personal Weather Stations are showing offline. Worse if I choose auto detect location that's causing crazy results. Right now it's 21C. If I turn auto detect on it says it's 12C. Pretty much useless now.

Good change!. I swapped my previous mundane report for this app and am glad I did. It is responsive and well designed. I particularly like the opportunity to check the weather in other locations for which I hold an interest. Again I am requested to review. Well, nothing much more to say really. Still good and maintains that expected element of error that characterises all weather reporting throughout my long and unremarkable life. However you must admit they keep trying to improve and what more can you ask? Still 5 stars...

East Coast Aust. Using WeatherMate on the East Coast of Australia. Accurate. Clear. I enjoy the hourly forecast and wind predictions. Integrates well with my Series 3 Apple Watch.

PJ. Works great on mobile but slow to load on Apple Watch 1. May need a cut down version for slow devices

At last, a weather app that fills my needs.. I have given this app 5 stars because it is the first out of all the top rated weather apps I have tried that ticks all my boxes. I tried the free version first and was so impressed I bought the Pro version the next day. Great Apple Watch complications. Detailed forecasts and predictions. One time purchase price. Intuitive navigation. True local forecasts, not just the City but Suburb. No unnecessary frills. I don't need amusing vocals or beautiful landscapes just the weather. Great real time maps. Weather history, everything I wanted all in one app. The UI is a bit outdated and the font a bit small to read but that does not interfere with function. I have no doubt this app will continue to improve over time.

Weather Mate Pro. A fairly good app overall. - I find it’s well-designed, pretty easy to use, and it provides the user with a comprehensive and very detailed overall weather “picture”. Fairly thoughtful and creative layout as well. Weather Mate could perhaps provide more choices for available weather LOCATIONS however on their app at any one time . - I believe there are only eight or so Locations allowed per any one setting. Perhaps Weather Mate should also allow for larger, clearer background displays of the prevailing Weather condition, because the present foreground Data Information “Panel” is so large,- it mostly obscures the weather view located behind it! Otherwise - not such a bad App. Regards, Robert. B. Sc. (Syd.- Physics, maths.) Australia.

Many useful features. This is a great app and it has a lot of fantastic details. Thank you.

Great app.. Lots of detail. Everything you could want except it wont access nearby airport stations

Great app for cycling and golf. Great detail , hour by hour Including wind direction and speed. The predictive rainfall is also useful

John Kuiters. Excellent app I use it several times a day Five stars

Très bon. excellent, précision et à jour

Short blend 2024. I like this weather app. When will the next big update be on the Apple Watch. On the modular watch face it doesn’t show the weather icon and the location on the Modular watch face. Also on the Infograph watch face it also doesn’t show the location on the actual watch face. And also on the Lock Screen when will you update that into stand by mode on the iPhone 14

Great App. I enjoy all information provided for any weather forecast required for daily or long range.. Excellent radar map.. Easy to use & accurate.. Best weather app I have ever had.. So much information & accuracy..

The One. Tried a lot of Weather Apps. This is the one I have been looking for.

Wrong temperatures all the time.. This app will tell me it’s 39 degrees outside when its 31. It’ll tell me its 26 in the morning when it’s not even 20 yet. Can’t even do 1 thing right. you’ll consistently have to check 2 weather apps using this one so might as well not even use it.

Crazy ugly, very useful. The iPhone UI of this app is really dated and ugly. However the apple watch version is so good it's worth the price.

Weather Mate. Gives plenty of information to help you plan your day

Mostly quite accurate. I enjoy the app with lots of info easy to get to. The only real disappointment is the complication for my watch. Even though it has loads of relevant information it doesn’t refresh on its own, even after checking and rechecking the settings.

Greet weather app and complication. Love the both the app and the complication for modular watch face. It is easy to read and pretty accurate.

Great Weather App Loaded with Info. I’ve tried a lot of Weather Apps and this one is by far my favourite. It is overflowing with data .. so much so it it takes a while to find it all. I don’t agree the interface is ugly. I find it is beautifully rendered and very logically laid out.

Great App. Great app love it!

Great app and Great customer service.. Excellent weather app and even better service… Keep up the good work…

Hi. This app is so great I love it Keep up the good work

Phenomenal Weather App. Luv, luv, luv this app!!!!! This is my go to, no matter the season!! I suffer from intense migraine headaches but with the help of this app I can prepare in advance now !! As well as how to dress before leaving the house :) The settings/options/graphics to choose from are phenomenal! Everything you need in an all-in-one worldwide weather app!!! What more could anyone want? So many options from earthquakes, hurricanes, radar and satellite, lake temps to air temps, barometer pressure changes, wave height, warnings, locations, live feeds from around the world, too many to count, settings the way you want it!!! No need ever for another weather app! Worth every dollar!!! If you require assistance their response to any issue is quick & efficient!!!

James. Good app. Works great. It’s awesome!!

Awesome app. I love using this map to see where the frontal boundaries are located. This feature, however, has been missing for the past week or so.

Great app. Excellent weather resource. Current conditions are very accurate and future general forecasts are also very good. Next day wind prediction is also a bonus. Didn’t give five stars only because the font was a little small and there does not appear to be a font enlarging tool. Great app overall and highly recommended.

Still the best. Layout, accuracy, easy of use,

Accurate. Concise, accurate, easy to understand and read.

Paid but Best. This app is worth every cent! Radar map, wind direction, connections to local weather monitoring and the list goes on. I learned of this from my neighbour, saw him using it and buff said!

Weather mate. Weather Mate is great!! Reliable weather, easy to read and understand, love it !💕my favourite easy go to weather by far ♥️

Étonnant. J’aime beaucoup Weather Mate. Très bien fait et précis.

New Subscription Model. Current version introduces subscription pricing. Nothing wrong with that but it would seem to introduce a contractual obligation to provide subscribers with a good sense of what other upgrades can be expected and what subscription charges will be assigned to those.

Since the updates it crashes a lot. Used to be a great program but now it crashes whenever I select the weather map and even crashes when using other features. Somewhere in all the updates it started crashing and after contacting support they don’t seem to know what is causing the crashes. Wastes a lot of time responding to their email and still no fixes.

Awesome for the Apple Watch. This is one of the few apps that you can pay once and enjoy “feels-like” temp on the Apple Watch. Yes the iPhone app looks a bit outdated but the forecasts are precise. For me it is really worth it and love it not being a subscription.

Best weather app. This is the best weather app bar none! It has all features you need and works flawlessly

Meilleure application.

Turning out to be garbage.. Paid apps yet full of ads.

Just about perfect!. Only thing I’ve noticed that could be on it is a local pollen report and lake/ocean surface water temperatures. Everything else is on it! I particularly like the weather radar! Well done!

Canadian friendly. Finally a weather app that actually works in Canada properly! It tells the correct temperature, my town shows up, it gives me the windchill, and rain/snow accumulation. Thank you!

Well Presented and Accurate. Has become our "go to" App for weather info.

Changed what I paid for. I bought this app for the specific feature of a written description that included snow accumulations. After a couple of weeks, the app changed and the feature disappeared. I feel ripped off. Even if only a buck.

Weather. I have had so many weather apps this is the most detailed one I’ve ever seen Apple user

Weather mate. The best of the best……

Widgets now working ☺️. Thanks for the recent fix! Widgets work well on my IPhone SE 2, IOS 17.1.1. Thanks for your hard work. 👏🏻

Accuracy. Your app is very good but an improvement could be made in the timeliness of your Environment Canada Weather Statements/Warnings etc.

Great. So far very impressed, seems to be very accurate for local and international weather. The best weather app by far.

Rate Weather Mate. Fantastic, use it all the time.

Amazing App!. “Hands down” this is the best weather app I’ve ever used in years! The interphase is smooth and intuitive and the graphics are luxuriously designed. It works flawlessly on my iPhone, iPad , Apple Watch and takes all three devices to a new level of sophistication with its well though out software design. Cheers to the developers for making the app a one time in store purchase and not a money grabbing subscription. This app delivers as promised 😊

Ed. Don’t waste your money here. Limited number of cities available 2. User unfriendly cannot switch stations quickly locations

Weather Mate Pro. Great app that works well on iPad and iPhone accurate for my region with many extra services including voice for people Who forgot their glasses 😜

Assez complet, merci.

Missing warnings. Wished I had not purchased this. Difficult to use.

The Best Weather App…. …period.

Good map, lots of features. The only reason it doesn’t get five stars is that it does not show the jetstream. The other small complaint is that I can’t find the legend for the map. Above was written earlier. Weather Mate’s customer support clarified both issues. Very good.

Great weather app!. I’ve tried a lot of weather apps both free and paid for. This is the one I’m sticking with. Beautifully laid out and very easy to use. Love the temperature badge on the Home Screen.

v7.4.9 restore the high/low fronts. happy to see again the meteorological fronts with this last update.. hope one day the temperature colors layer will match with the reference international one.. very useful application!!

The Best. Weather Mate has an excellent real time forecast map! The UI is very friendly. Way better than most! I used have 10 different weather apps now I have Weather Mate. Rate it awesome!

Best app for weather nerds!. For years I wanted to see past weather data and couldn’t find it anywhere. It has tonnes of other features but that’s what I was dying for. Some saint recommended this on Reddit and it’s perfect. Love love love. Highly recommend.

Why do you sell our data to Facebook 🤬😡. I bought your app, as everyone here. Your are greedy 🤑🤮 Guys, check in Privacy report on you iPhone or iPad and you will see that Weather Mate is constantly sending our infos to graph.Facebook Shame on you!

Good app, highly recommended!. As an Intellicast/Storm app refugee, this is the closest app I’ve found thus far to replace a lot of the functionality those apps offered. This app is highly customizable yet still easy to use. I do wish the radar could be a little more high def, so I use this app in conjunction with a “pro version” subscription radar app, but until I find something better, this is my “go to” weather app. This app offers the ability to display weather fronts and moon phase info as well. For coastal dwellers, moon phase is vital for predicting storm surge. Someone could make a killing if they were to go look at the original Intellicast, with its subscription radar and marine chart capability, and offer those features again.

Great app. I have been searching for a good weather app since intellacast changed to storm. I wanted to see fronts and lows and highs. This app has it all. Even a print out of the NWS for my area. We live in Florida, and need to have very good weather apps. Especially during hurricane season. I’m 80 and have loved following weather patterns around my area since I was very young. My career was nursing, but weather was a fun hobby. Thank you for developing this app. I have been using this app for a few months now and I still love all the ways I can use it, to plan any travel in immediate future. Of course right now I’m quarantined because of my age, but still love the app. Give it 5 stars!

Best weather app!. This is the best weather app and I’ve tried them all!! I love the flexibility to set up the look the way I like. I love all the options for layers on the map including storm tracks and lightning. The amount of information you get is fantastic but it’s still easy to use. And that it pulls info from weather underground makes it all even better. By far the best source for forecasting. My only two requests would be making the city list sync over iCloud between devices and I’d like to be able to tap on a storm track and see a list of cities in the cone along with the time the storm will arrive. This would make this app perfect!!

This is a very nice weather app. Finally found a weather app that gives very good, local forecast options with a well-designed user interface. For weather conditions you can select from local airports or Weather Underground personal weather stations or go with composite conditions in the area. The map screens offer many options for radar/satellite and other layers. Just swipe to view your different locations. Weather radio, history, voice reports and travel planner are just a few of the neat options. The developer responded quickly to my question. I'm glad I tried it. UPDATE: The new widgets are awesome and come in many useful combinations. Even the color schemes are nice.

Totally detailed app!. My last app that I used often was no longer supported, and their replacement was bad! I tried close to 15 apps before finding this one -sure worth the wait. Very detailed, giving every kind of weather data available. Having parts of 325 acres farmed, accurate and detailed weather is a must. Even shows fronts, which most have deleted. Is it always correct? Nope, but closer than most. Living in the Western PA area, weather changes quickly and frequently, but Weather Mate does an awesome job! (Also bought the upgrade - worth a couple bucks and more!) Update: Contacted support on a minor issue - they responded in a matter of minutes! Also promised to have very minor bug fixed in new update. Amazing!

Good app and best radar out there. I like the app a lot. The weather report is somewhat scrunched. And the alerts still don’t work properly. Another thing, the weather radio does not function for most of Georgia. I have contacted tech support a couple of times and they have responded with an explanation and a fix in process. I will still give this app a five star rating for one reason. It has in my opinion THE best radar I’ve seen. And trust me. I’ve used about every weather app out there. Not only is the radar user friendly to set up the way you want, it is spooky accurate. I usually check this radar first before I even bother looking at a written forecast. For this reason I highly recommend.

Awesome, bug free & complete. BLUF: If I could give it 10 stars I would!! I tried many others over the years and none consistently work or even begin to provide EVERYTHING this one absolutely positively does!!! No ads, no stupid popups trying to extort more money, no untested “updates” that break things. It just plain WORKS and it does it with an elegant, eye friendly and intuitive interface that’s without a doubt the cleanest and most well thought out design i’ve ever seen. Honestly i can’t think of a single thing in need of “improvement”! It’s WELL WORTH the few dollars and has NO equal for functionality or bang for the buck.

Used to be my favorite, now disappointing.. You are limited in the amount of cities you can add, and I use all of them to know about weather for my colleagues that work on my team. It was nice because I used to be able to add one more city by using the auto locate function to give me my weather (instead of adding my city as one of the location slots). But now it’s auto detecting a weather station that someone obviously hasn’t set up correctly, temperatures are more than 20 degrees off at all times for my location (weather station less than half a mile from me) and I can’t change the weather station while still using the auto detect location… so I lose my extra slot. This one weather station is now making this app completely worthless to me. I suggest looking elsewhere.

I love it. I’ve been looking for a Weather app that will show precipitation amounts for individual weather stations. Since weather underground got rid of that capability in app. this app has everything I want and it’s perfect except for one little thing it is a little too flashy. I would rather have larger information details. I’m talking about the main weather view. Yes, it looks very nice but for weather apps it’s not necessary to look slick. I just want details quickly and easily available. I’m still giving it five stars because it truly is awesome, I just wish it had a cleaner interface.

Nearly perfect with one annoying nit. I’ve tried so many weather apps and this one shines - tons and data that is fairly easily accessible. I love that you can configure all the data that you don’t want and order stuff on the current day. You can collapse the future day stuff too so it slick as can be. The one gripe I have is that they display a VERY large clock on the advanced screen that is completely unnecessary. Every device I know has a clock already visible in the top border so why take up 3/4” of my screen real estate??? If they removed it they could collapse the current state icon (sun/moon) and high/low temp down with the wind icon and yep free up that precious space. PLEASE, pretty please

The best. I have searched for and analyzed dozens of weather apps. I have downloaded (and subsequently deleted) at least 15. Some were good, but always missing an important piece of information on the home screen (wind speed, % chance of precipitation, etc.). Then I found Weather Mate. I love the home screen. First, I get all the current conditions; second, just below I get the complete daily forecast; third, easy scrolling on the home screen also gives you the forecast for the next 14 days in detailed or abbreviated formats; and fifth, it is very accurate. It also has some more advanced features like hurricane tracking, etc. This is my go-to daily weather app.

Great Apple Watch App. Great Apple Watch app with hourly and extended forecasts - vertical scroll with temp and conditions together like we all expect. Not sure why Apple thought we’d like to read the conditions and temperature on separate screens around a circular dial - I immediately went looking for a replacement to the native Watch weather app. But these guys at WeatherMate got it right. Awesome app and great new options in the Watch face complications with the latest update. The iPhone app was also very handy in the radar view during recent spring tornados and severe storms. Has a unique graph overlay and draw tool to easily estimate how close you are to the storm (miles / km). Their support team is super responsive too - same day or next day responses and even developed feature enhancements within weeks. I’m impressed with this team and their product. Thank you!

Best customizable weather app. Definitely the best weather app for people who know what they want and aren't afraid to spend some time customizing it. The radar includes layers that competing apps lack (fronts-earthquakes-100 mile rings), users can choose which details to show in which order in the main app and the Today widget, and there are lots of ways to customize Apple Watch complications (including both temperature and rainfall in a single Infograph corner or circle). I just wish there was a way to display a small radar view from the main screen (instead of forcing users to click the little button on top), and for the app to remember that the details sidebar was opened in Text Only or the daily details were closed in Advanced view when the app is reopened.

Still great after all these years,. Weather Mate Pro continues to deliver year after year. The accuracy is remarkable and the info/data abound. The GUI is pleasing and accessible. Get the app, use it, and don’t look back. Recommended without hesitation. Previous review: Weather Mate Pro presents a ton of weather info/data, and does so in a useful and intuitive way. The GUI is pleasant and easy to navigate while the radar is among the best I’ve used. Most importantly, the forecasts for my region of the Mid-Atlantic are accurate and reliable. There is also access to NOAA radio, historical weather data and other information through the app itself. Weather Mate Pro is a keeper for sure. Highly recommended.

Best I’ve Found.. This ap has more of the information I want and need than others I have tried and seems to be more reliable. I ALMOST love this app. For it to be perfect here are my suggestions: 1) I love the winds aloft feature but wish there were also an option for a drawn in jet stream line/arrow like on the news casts. 2) I love that the radar and satellite layers can be animated hours into the past and future, but it would be helpful and less confusing if the other layers (fronts, highs & lows, etc.) would move as well. 3) Alerts should be announced and linked to local weather page. 4) The winds aloft (“wind stream”) often fails to load and is at those times unusable. All in all, it is far more useful to me than any other app out there. Pay for the version without the ads. It’s a bargain and will save you a lot of time.

Would be a great app, but the wind gust function doesn’t work most of the time.. This weather app almost rates a 5 Star because it has everything the other weather apps have and it has frontal systems on the map. This is invaluable information and this app. is the only one that provides it. I will give it a 5 Star rating when it gives wind gusts. Currently, when you click on the wind rose, a field for gusts appears but it has no data. Similar problem with costal weather alerts. The alert areas are highlighted on the map, but, when you click on them, a message says the alert is downloading, but, it never downloads. Fix these two items and this is far and best weather app, IMHO!

Getting It Right. I’ve been using Weather Mate for some time and I’ve seen the software degradation that occurred recently. Finally got to the point where I submitted comments to the developer. I was actually quite shocked to get a reply and was even more surprised when I received an update to my e-mail today from Customer Support telling me that the issue I reported had been addressed. After updating the app I saw that the PWS issue I reported is now fixed, hooray! I haven’t found any weather app that shows as much data as Weather Mate and I would have been reluctant to give it up. So I’m very grateful to the app developers working so hard to getting things right. Please keep up the great work and I’ll continue to be a loyal user.

A reliable weather app. I have an older iPad and so many apps have moved on and no longer function on the older iOS. This is true for my old weather app. I tried several other weather apps. Some just stopped working, some would hang and crash. Also many have switched to high subscription prices in place of an outright app purchase. I stumbled onto this weather app, Weather Mate. Glad I did. So far it works flawless. And my preference is that it has the best interface over any other weather app I’ve tried. I was happy that the app has a set purchase option instead of subscription. So I did purchase the upgrade, well worth it. So far so good. Hope they keep it simple and reliable. Thanks

A wealth of data. I am a professional meteorologist and was a long time Storm app user but their recent changes were a downgrade (no more fronts or wind flow fields, for example). I was on the lookout for an app that offered more information, not less, and Weather Mate seems to fit the bill. It was a pleasure to see fronts and low pressure centers on the radar map again! Other than some small quibbles like featuring the current wind speed and direction more prominently instead of the local time, it is an excellent app. I appreciate the easy ability to substitute airport observations, which meet instrument exposure specifications, instead of personal stations, which are hit or miss in accuracy.

Weather now, and beyond. This app just about has it all. I’ve not found another app that includes the weather fronts on the map, except the on-line “Intellicast.” That feature has always been key to understanding how the weather is developing, and other apps don’t have it. I wish for one feature that a competing app has but is missing in Weather Mate. That is a graphical representation of percentage precipitation and ambient temperature on one scrolling screen over days of prediction, as another very strong app does have. In Weather Mate, you have to scroll through hour by hour forecast screens to see the big picture of rain and temperature for the future. If this were added, then there would be no better app. Glenn C. in Louisiana

Excellent for go-to weather app. Being somewhat weather obsessed, I have several weather apps. As noted elsewhere, it used to be that one in particular was priority. Over the years, that app lost its most valuable features as it morphed into ever evolving names (Intellicast, Storm, then Storm Radar) and has now become a high priced subscription app with very few and just basic features. Weather Mate Pro has made all of the difference! It contains far more features than other weather apps, and supplies a wealth of information. The only criticism that I currently have is that it does not send notifications as selected. Perhaps with further settings tweaks or an update, this might be resolved. Overall, I am very pleased with Weather Mate’s capabilities and am glad to have found it because of another review.

Pleasantly surprised. Have not used it a long time but so far it’s been good enough to pay to have the ads removed. In my top 3 weather apps. Actually, it’s moved up to #2. Everything to like about it, nothing to dislike. Update: Superior Past/Future Radar animation. Also, just noticed the History and the Vacation Planner screens. Would have used it to plan for The Azores trip! Ok, next time. 😇 I’m Last: This app is continually updated. An absolute 5 Star company! New Request: The Future Radar would be fantastic with 1 upgrade. Right now it only shows the future perception for the next 6 hours over/on top of the current map of temperature, storms, fronts, etc. IF it would show the projection of these other weather elements over the next 6 hours too, well then it would be the hands-down BEST weather app on the market ‼️ More than that, it would be the best period, over every Windows, Google, TV, etc. etc. etc. However, I’m not going to remove a star ⭐️ because it doesn’t. It is still a 5 star ⭐️ app as is. Update: ❤️ this app❣️

Really useful!. I find this to be a really useful app most of the time and fairly accurate. I especially like the feature that gives you the weather at your present location even if it’s not one of the cities selected for your regular weather reports. The weather alerts for all the cities on my list can be distracting at times because one doesn’t always care about flood alert in a location hundreds of miles away. I also noticed that the local weather station I select is sometimes very different from the official weather station. Sometimes The weather station is wildly different or not registering at all. I find this a negative feature.

The best to date. Just my opinion. I always opt for paid weather apps. Dark Sky was a big disappointment. On par with Apples’s antiquated and embarrassing voice recognition. Inaccuweather was great at predicting rainfall within a few minutes. Everything else was off. This app has truly exceeded my expectations. Everything is customizable. The map overlays and customization are off the charts. Graphics are state of the art and frankly beautiful. It loads instantly. It loads instantly with motion and play. No glitches or freezes experienced whatsoever. Pool the weather from several sources and you’ll have a trustworthy app that won’t disappoint. Highly recommended.

If you miss WU Storm.... After the abomination The Weather Channel turned the elegant WU Storm into I was at a loss for a weather app that let me “see” what was going on by displaying the fronts, highs, lows and wind patterns. Thank goodness for this app. It delivered on what I missed in WU Storm and more (how about the addition of NOAA radio as well!). I’m anxiously awaiting an interface update as the current one is a bit clunky but nonetheless this is my go to weather app bar none. Nice job! Update, After using this app for a few weeks and exploring what it has to offer, I am even more impressed with the abundance of tools at my finger tips. It also seems more accurate than the “hyper local” apps. The only thing I would suggest is a more robust alert/notification section. This is a superior app well worth the few dollars for the Pro version. Buy this app!

Nice and precise. I have four weather apps on my phone. This is the only one I am now using. I live in Western Kentucky and find my weather life plans based on figuring out what to wear for bicycling from November to April or where and when the tornado lands from April to August. (Great place otherwise.) The app has more options than I know what to do with, but they turn off and on for personalization easily. The images are sharp and it works on my iPhone or iPad seamlessly. Since I purchased this and have lived with it a while I can testify to the accuracy of the hourly predictions and in one memorable moment a precise, to about a mile, indication of a front end and back end of a storm cell that passed over the house. In all my local travels around the region the data has been sound. In getting started I had about nine questions/issues that Wendy in Customer Service answered and helped with, about as if I was the only user. They have already fixed an early bug and taken due notice so some other suggestions that I expect tweaked in the next update.

The best overall weather app!. If you’re looking for a weather app that does it all and does it well, this is it! I’ve found other weather apps that are excellent, but lacking in one or two areas (usually the map/radar). Weather Mate has one of the best weather maps I’ve ever used and it’s constantly being improved. Temperature badge that updates well? Got it! Weather alerts and warnings that are easy to read? Got it! Weather radio? Got it! Historical weather data? Got it! Beautiful interface? Got it! Highly customizable? Yes! I could keep going, but you should just check this app out for yourself! At least try the free version.

Best weather app!. This is the first weather app I’ve ever purchased, and I absolutely love it. It gives you so much information, and the design interface is sleek and organized. The radar screen buffers very well with both past (2hrs) and future (6 hrs), with ability to pause and scroll manually. The customizable map with layers is great. I still give it 5 stars, however if I could change anything, I wish the hourly forecast was condensed. To view hourly, you have to do a lot of scrolling, and I would prefer to see 8-12 hours of forecast at one time without needing to scroll. I’ve seen other apps that use a line graph on hourly forecasts with info like highs, lows, % precipitation, etc. This is the only thing I would change, but I still love this app!

Only App that shows Fronts. The good - this is the ONLY app that shows weather fronts and pressure zones. There is a lot of other information that you can show also. The Bad - the radar is OLD! If you compare it to The Weather Channel radar you will see that the radar on this app is LATE and does not show nearly as much detail most of the time. For this reason I cannot trust the radar anymore shown on this app. Thank you for the clarification - that helped a lot and solved the problem! Also, thanks for the fast response. Now “The Bad” listed in the paragraph above has been resolved and there is no bad. This is the best weather app available!

Forget weather underground!. Update: continues to get even better. Perfect app for your PWS and weather forecasting. Has it all! I have my own PWS and I have always used the weather underground app to monitor it. That app started screwing up. Everything weather underground that used to be so great started going downhill after their association with the weather channel. I began looking for a replacement and found a good review on Weather Mate. The reviewer said it would do everything that the weather underground app did plus a lot more. I installed it and have not looked back since. It is 10 times better than weather underground. If you have a PWS or just want a good weather app don’t hesitate to download Weather Mate.

Awesome app. Like so many others, I counted on the Storm app for accurate forecasts. When it was discontinued, I downloaded nearly every weather app available to find a satisfactory replacement. The first thing I would do is compare the reported temperature with the actual temperature at my location. If it was off, I would delete the app and try another one. I wish I had seen this app earlier - it would have saved me a lot of aggravation. This app presents not only accurate temperature, but the forecast is typically right on the mark. The app presents a wealth of information in a very useable format, including current conditions and an accurate view of what’s coming. I have relied on the new Storm app for radar data, but this app’s radar presentation seems to be every bit as accurate and readable. I wish I had found this app sooner.

Almost there. Very nice presentation, very nice Apple Watch app - this is the only app I know of that shows an ACCURATE temperature of my personal weather station (pws) on it’s Apple Watch complication. Two major defects prevent me from rating this app with 5 stars: 1) tonight’s low temperature is incorrect if it is actually expected to be higher than the current temperature. Support has not acknowledged this defect, but I see it often in the morning. 2) the all important dewpoint temp is incorrect as it’s inconsistent with the temperature and relative humidity of the specified pws as the dewpoint is extracted from composite data instead of from the pws. I’ve provided support with a resource for calculating an accurate dewpoint, and I was told the they will see if this can be corrected.

Real Weather Information. Finally. An app that provides meaningful weather information. I used Storm for a long time and thought it was a great app until it was dumbed down this year. It’s replacement has shown the same frontal information for over 2 months now with no response to this issue from support. Although I just downloaded Weather Mate Pro and don’t have much experience with the app, I’m finding the information it provides fantastic. Frontal info. Historic weather. Great weather depiction display. NWS Forecast Discussion - all with very fast refreshing. Plus there’s the NWS Radio broadcast!!! I applaud the developers of this app for providing a REAL weather app. Update: After using this app for months, I can say it’s living up to my first impressions. A great weather app for casual or more serious users! Update #2: The data source for the Windstream apparently was down for awhile. I reached out to support who told me it would be available with the next update. Update just out and Windstream is now functioning along with other enhancements. Most importantly though, support reached out in an email to let me know of the fix. How outstanding is this!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would without hesitation.

Developer update. I originally downloaded this app with one other to see if I liked them I didn’t like the other and deleted it and this one seemed to work. I also loved to look at the app and see the temp other out opening it. In the last couple of days it has been way off. Yesterday it said it was 14 outside when it was in the upper 30’s. Today it says 34 but it is in the 50’s. I keep having to refresh the data and this isn’t what I wanted. They contacted me immediately and it seems several weather stations weren’t reporting accurately and they fixed the problem. I have noticed since then the temps were reporting accurately. I changed my rating from 1 to a 5 star. Thank you for the Great customer service!!

Hands down the best weather map! And an excellent, customizable weather app 👍. If you are looking for a customizable, accurate and frequently updated weather map, this is your app. It even shows weather fronts! I’ve used dozens of weather apps, and watched with dismay as some old favorites were “enhanced” into mediocrity. Weather Mate delivers. It’s an excellent, all purpose weather app right out of the box. Spend some time customizing it to make this your go-to all purpose weather app. The Pro option is well worth the reasonable charge. I write very few reviews, only when an app really stands out for better or worse. This is a good one, and worth supporting!

Best weather app out there.. I’ve tried at least ten or twelve different weather apps but this one is the best one by far. It gives you all the information you want and need to know about the weather—be it local or any other state you want to check on. Another thing I love about Weather Mate is how visual everything is. It uses bright colors that helps with different information you want to know. Weather Mate has it all. I’ve never a weather app that shows so much information. It shows a lot of accurate info in a very simple, and easy to read interface. I never watch the weather on tv anymore. Don’t need to. I have it all right here at my finger tips with Weather Mate.

One of the very best.. I have and use a variety of weather apps. There are a few very good ones. Weather mate tops the list. Why? 1. Out here in the hard to predict weather of the Rocky Mountains, it has been more accurate in its forecasts than others. 2. It is easy to use and understand. 3. I love it’s weather map. The visuals are as better than any other weather map I have found, except for Radar Scope, which is expensive to use. There are other good apps, some of which get a lot of hype in the tech reviews (Dark Sky for example). I have those also, but I keep coming back to Weather Mate. It and Deep Weather (only get Deep Weather if you understand meteorology) are the apps I rely on as a farmer who needs to know his weather.

Fantastic app but has it been bought by the Weather Channel?. I have used this app for several years after Weather underground and Storm were bought by the Weather Channel and monetized and ruined. Love all of the feature rich maps, forecast tools, and consult it several times a day. But I saw a post that it had been bought by the Weather Channel a subsidiary of IBM, but cannot confirm. Weathermate Pro seems to have stopped responding to support requests which in the past were answered quickly, and for Storm that was the first sign of TWC Takeover and demise of the Storm app. I am concerned we will lose this app too. Maybe the developer will let us know if they were bought out and if future for this app is in jeapardy.

Update. Update 8/24: Had an issue with the weather station this app uses for my weather but the folks from Weather Mate got back with me quick and the next day the weather station was reporting correct data again!! Love this app; just hope they include lightning and rain notifications in their future updates. Then it would be more awesome!! Great app so far thogh! ------------------------------------------ Updated 4/18: got an email from Weather Mate Support informing me of the new update they just released to fix the Watch complication!! Talk about service!! I didn't even know they would do that! Now the Watch Complication works great!! Loving this app and the support I am getting more and more!! ------------------------------------------- I like how this app is not bogged down with useless information. You get great weather forecast straight away. The map is at the top of the app so you don't have to scroll just about to the bottom of the page to get to it. My only concerns I have already addressed with the support team and they got back within minutes of me sending it to them. That is amazing turn around!!

Getting Better!. Still to improve: Would like to be able to switch from vertical to horizontal views on my iPhone. In this fashion I can get a better view of coming weather events which move toward my location from the west without loosing so much detail. It works on my iPad so it should work on my iPhone. Currently I have to contract or move the map and loose detail. Also I would like it if the weather fronts and pressure centers moved the way the storm systems do as the scans progress. In that fashion things would be more predictable for the local resident/farmer/traveler. Lastly the wind streams are a good representation of the motion of the weather systems but they also don’t advance as the radar predictor advances so upcoming predicted changes are not shown. Thank you. P.S. I know some of these recommendations should be easy to add but you guys seem to be taking a long time to do them.

Shockingly superb. I've purchased numerous weather apps over the years largely in the quest for the proverbial weather app Holy Grail, that single go-to app that's the most aesthetic, most functional, and most informative of the lot. There are a handful of standouts who crowd the top of the heap and Weather Mate Pro is one of them. While the app itself uses the vast and outstanding weather data from the University of Michigan's Weather Underground, I'm shocked at how a single app developer--that is, one not tied to a big-name company with dozens of developers in its hire--can create a final product with such polish. It's simply superb. Keep up the good word, lad! I hope to see you incorporate additional features in future versions, lighting push notifications chief among them.

Highly Customizable Watch Complications. This is a great app with a lot of great customizable features for the watch. Please Read Below!! I love to use the Infograph Modular and the infograph face, and when apple removed the location display on said faces, I was P’d off, Im kind of a nerd, I love the faces with many complications on them that can display as much info as possible , so after apple removed the location, I set out to download a weather app with the location displayed on the infograph and the infograph modular, well this app has it, and the customizable features it has is endless, you can customize every aspect of the watch face complication to your liking and thats no exaggeration, not at all. Its a must have!!

The best hands down.. Ive tried them all and this one is by far the best weather app i have seen and used. Im a big weather geek and i have 6 apps i use all the time but this one is my go to weather app. Everything about this app was carefully thought out and by using it you can tell right away. There’s no sense in me going on anon about it all I got to say is give it a try and you will love it it might cost a few bucks so what its the best thats out there and if you want the best you got to pay a little bit I guess. Try the free app and you will gladly pay for it. Has everything you need. Thanks guys for an awesome app. Finally an app worth paying for.

Amazing app! Only one minor inconvenience.. I’ve been searching for a real replacement to my favorite app of all time, WU Storm. The TWC Storm app never did much for me and recently they are asking for payments on things that where free. Now Weather Mate is exactly what I wanted! I can see great data with ease, information from my own PWS and it is quick!! The UI looks classic, but in a way its great. A lot of information at a glance. Theres also many tools, like Air quality, Flight Planner, Weather history, and many more. The map also has a lot of great tools, reminds me of the original Storm app. I encourage everyone to try the free version, specially if you miss WU Storm. I’m pretty sure that, just like me, you’ll immediately will pay for this version. Now for my minor inconvenience: the app says that government alerts are not available for my locations because its only for US. But I’m on Puerto Rico and this is a US territory and we get NWS alerts like everyone else. So can I get this fixed? Hurricanes are about to start their never ending strike over my area and these alerts are crucial. I’ll contact the developer soon but just put this here in case they respond. Thanks in advance.

Fantastic app!!. Weather Mate is the most incredible weather app I have ever seen. It has so much data, and so many functions, I’m still discovering them as I poke around at the various icons at the top. Today I discovered that it can also see the personal weather stations from the weather underground. I first used the free version, and then gladly paid for the full version, it is well worth it, and I encourage anybody to download this app and check it out. You will be amazed! Besides being the greatest and most comprehensive weather app, it seems to be extremely well written, very stable, I haven’t found a single problem with it. Highly recommended!

Detail/Information. I previously used WeatherBug; it appeared to have all and more than the information I wanted. After a while, I noticed it consistently contradicting itself; the forecasts it presented, and even the current conditions. Example: one screen would indicate sunny while another would indicate 100% cloud cover. I bought a couple other weather subscriptions, one was Weather Mate. Now, WM is definitely my favorite, and worth the subscription price. I’ve been using it for about a year. It’s much more polished than the Bug; more stable, never freezing, crashing. I greatly appreciate all the detailed information available such as fire location, storm cell data, etc. I hope the developer never abandons this application. Appending my initial review..... Taking away 1 star because the forecast is quite different from the weather advisory scrolling along the top. (Snowfall around an inch vs the advisory stating 3-6”) The forecast should come close to the advisory. So now, in a way, it is more like WeatherBug than I had thought; inconsistent within itself. I would also like to see the ability to have more favorite locations.

Was looking for 5 hour radar. I used to use Storm Radar which I had purchased. It had been (past tense) a great app till the Weather Channel bought out weather underground and ruined the app. While searching for a good replacement for it, I came across WeatherMate. I tried the free version and was please to see they had the five hour radar with storm tracks, lightening, local weather stations (important for those of us who don't live in a city) and more. In addition, I could buy the pro version at a reasonable price which gave me an ad free experience and more important the apps just work better and load better when they aren't loading all the fancy ads. I think I got a few more features too. This app has now become my go to weather app.

Weather Mate Pro is unequalled. I couldn’t imagine a weather app so accurate that far exceeds all other weather apps combined. It has tons of features and design layouts that no one else thought of and is so easy to use. This app is your exclusive 1-stop weather app that contains a library of important weather info. Oh, I must mention that I live in a town inside a forest. What are you waiting for…a perfect app…this is it! I have no connection with the developer. Look no further… you’ll confirm and share my zeal for this app upon installing it. Go get it and share it with everyone…they’ll be glad that you did!

My WEATHER APP. This weather app is really accurate and the features are really nice. Plus you can add additional locations, and you can choose your own weather stations. I really like this app! UPDATE: I have had it for almost a year, and I still love it. I can choose any weather station near me. Plus you can go to the map and see weather flows. SECOND UPDATE: Have had this app for two years now, and I still love it! It's my go to App, and I have two friends who are also using it now. Also asked for Fog report, and now its been added to home screen on App. Shows fog under sun or moon. Best App out there! THIRD UPDATE: Have been using App for three years, still totally dependable, and still love it.

The BEST weather app to purchase?. Update: It appears that the worst has happened. Weather Channel has bought this app. I hope that it doesn’t go the way of every other app that they have bought and destroyed. I would give more stars if I could, definitely worth buying. I went through many weather apps as Weather Channel kept buying and destroying apps. This is by far the best weather app available and VERY worth purchasing. Loads of easily accessible information that includes current and future conditions, great radar that has options include wind information, fronts and isobars, ability to select weather station or composite forecasts and includes the NWS discussion. PLEASE DON’T SELL TO WEATHER CHANNEL!!!
