Useless....but will give it another try. My original review: This basically gives you a list of things your plant “may be” & then you have to match it. The whole reason I wanted it was to tell me, not the other way around. Especially where weeds are concerned. Los of perennials look like weeds when they are coming up. I don’t want to pull out the wrong things Update: Developer responded, made sense & the option to pay $2 for a botanists advice. I figure that’s better than no response at all. They care enough to improve their product. Customer service pushes this review up a couple stars...

Not as good as it used to be. I have had this app for a few years and really enjoyed it. I used it frequently and successfully when I needed or wanted to identify plants and flowers. I even recommended it to several friends. When they gave me negative feedback I checked it again and found that the app had totally changed since the last time I used it. It is no longer as helpful or informative. And it’s got at least twice as many ads and waaaay more in-app purchases as previously. I don’t mind seeing ads in exchange for a free app but this one seems to be taking advantage of my good nature. Good bye.

Great for finding names of old Established plants. I lived in my house for almost 40 years and have had plans that I knew were perennials that come back year after year but had no idea what they were called. So far is soon as they come in to bloom I have taken a picture and you have found a match each time giving me wonderful information thanks

Cheaper than a landscaper!. I used this app when suddenly I had an area of lawn with 3 foot tall weeds I had never seen before. They identified the plant and gave me some good advice on getting rid of them before they spread. At first I thought the $2 was stupid, but when I couldn't find what I was looking for on the net, I figured the $2 would be much cheaper than having to pay a landscaper! I received my answer in less than 24 hours. It was accurate and detailed. I would use this app again.

To Scratch or Not to Scratch that is the Answer. My wife who appears to be able to get poison ivy by talking about is is constantly working in the flower beds with no gloves (mistake #1) on. As much as I remind her, she forgets. I was sitting at our picnic table under the trees and spotted what appeared to be poison ivy right out in the open. I verified using this app rather quickly and my suspicions were confirmed. What she had thought was sprouting Maple Seeds was in fact her foe poison ivy. Thanks to this excellent web application I sent her a photo of it so she could be more cautious when grabbing what she thinks is a tree sprouting when in reality it is her moral enemy!

Indispensable App for Gardening. As a casual gardener, this app has been invaluable for identifying plants i have and plants i see that i want. I almost always get a match, along with all of the care and placement information i need. I have used this app for years and i use it often. Super easy to use, i love being able to take a photo with my phone anywhere and retrieve all the info i want/need. Thank you Garden Answers, love this app!

Seldom works correctly 🌱. I use this app to make sure I'm pulling weeds and not plants. So I take a picture of what I think is a weed and submit it. But there are usually only a few results and none look very much like the picture I submitted. So then I've tried to contact a botanist. No response. So then I tried to test the app by trying a plant that I planted and knew the name of it (zucchini) it did not show a zucchini, the closest result was a pumpkin. And at that point I had already narrowed my search as well. So then I wanted to add it to the "library of plants" but there is no way to do that. I gave ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ because it doesn't always work but, the times it did it was very helpful.

The google of the plant world. I absolutely love this app. After moving into a 50 year old home, the beautifully established plants bloomed all around me! When I would wonder what they are, I had no way to know. Now I just snap a photo and it gives me a wealth of information. If it doesn’t at first identify, I just snap another photo until I find it. Now I know how to care for and propagate my favorites! Such a fun and rewarding app.

Swedish Ivy! Who knew? Not me!. Thank you so much for solving the mystery of the dna of my most precious plant. And what I did! This plant has special meaning to me. It started out as a clipping in a cup of water back in 2018. We had a slow start when I planted him in soil. But eventually, he got used to his new home in the dirt and grew like wildfire! I was so happy. He was so happy and grew into an amazingly beautiful happy fella…. Then I wasn’t home a lot and just ran in and out, not really paying attention to how much I was watering, and it may have been too much. I do see signs of new growth, so I think all is going to be well with my buddy, thanks to you! I would have never known what to do to help him. I’ve used your app before but never left a review. Thanks for being there for novices like me!

Useless unless you pay an expert.. I’m giving this one star because you can’t give zero stars. I was very displeased with the results. I took several clear and concise pictures of several common garden plans which I could identify. The results came back with plants that were not even native to my area. I took a very clear picture of a 7 leave grouping of a chestnut tree from my yard. The results came back again with everything but my common tree. I then did the same thing with a maple tree. Again poor results. This app in my opinion is designed for you to pay for contacting a professional just so they can get your money. Deceptive.

Great app!. Love this app! Easy to use and fun! Take a photo (make sure it's big and fills the frame), and the app uses its engine to try to find a match. Usually you will get a dozen possible matches. But if there is no match, you can post a question to a horticulturalist who will respond within 24 hours. My question was answered within 6 hours and with full detail. Yes, you do have to pay 1.99 for the expert advice, to which I say, "So what?" My own time is far better spent in other ways than researching page after page of horticultural digests.

Useless waste of time. I installed the app and looked at the pictures of various leaves in their database. I didn't find anything so I decided to spend the couple of dollars to have my tree identified. In addition to the picture of the leaf, I sent a picture of the tree and a picture of a branch with several leaves and the berries. After a day + I received an email saying they could not identify the plant and that I could send more picture (even though I enclosed several pictures with the submission.) I actually think this app is a fraud and that they are just stealing money with hope that most won't bother to ask for a refund. Save your 2 bucks and go buy a cup of coffee instead. It is unfortunate that what seems like a nice idea and a useful app is really just a colossal was of time and a useless app. I'll be seeking a refund though.

Very Poor App!. This App was reviewed on my local noon news program and they made it sound so wonderful and helpful so I, being in need of all the plant and gardening help I can get, downloaded this App. I was skeptical to say the least as I've had horrible results from other Apps that were "supposed" to identify things by sound or photos! This one lost out instantly! I gave it a test and it completely failed to identify my plant! It gave me well over "50" possible matches and "none" were even a tiny bit close to what my plant is! I entered a photo of my "Streptocarpus" Ladyslippers Grape Ice. Could not identify it....not even the least bit close. The matches I received were totally ridiculous no where at all what I entered! My plant is a very, very common house and garden plant that is closely related to an African Violet"! I thought this would be a simple test to see how accurate this App is! It's horrible! If it couldn't identify this simple plant, how could it identify more complicated types?! It's been deleted! Totally useless App!

Gratitude to the Experts. This is my favorite app. I love the experts and am thankful for the network. Responses are timely and very thorough. My last expert not only told me what my plant was, they explained how it came to this country and why it is often confused with a native close relative at nurseries!!!! Omg! I'm impressed. And that does not happen often I'm taking more photos to send over for expert advice. For $1.99 I now have a mindful approach towards my garden. I have so many more questions and will continue to consult the experts while recommending that others do the same (if you expect credible feedback on your plant - pay to ask the expert)

Great App. We just moved and our new house has many trees and plants. I am now an inexperienced gardener. I have been using this app to identify most of the plants around the house SUCCESSFULLY but one of the trees just started sprouting leaves and no one could tell me what it is. I thought it might be a fruit tree (it’s a fig tree) I sent a few pics to the “ask a horticulturist” part of the app and within 24 hours they knew what it was and sent me very useful links! $1.99 well worth it because now I have a head start to learn how to make fig jam.

First time asking an expert - fail. I paid the $1.99 to "ask an expert" for identification. I submitted three very clear photos. All I got was an error message and I could not do anything else in the app. The error just kept popping up!!! Not happy. Also the photos used to help identify my plant were terrible quality. Just awful. Amateur quality, blurry. Update: After numerous error messages I went to my email and discovered five or more emails from the experts telling me what the flower's name was. Some of the comments seemed to refer to other people's photos though. Very strange. But glad it finally worked.

Usually really helpful...May raise to a 5. I know a good bit about plants & flowers but now that I am in Central Texas there are MANY pretty new to me to be working with directly. (...as in contrasting seeing them on a lovely Hill Country Drive from a small to quite distant view.) I've not been super successful so far with the app auto-identifying my flower pic uploads. ...And that may be photographer user-error as to the shot quality. Actually...odds are good here. What I did not know -- probably due to failure to peruse their site in detail -- is what the cost of the next level of help is. Heck, $2 even makes this sort of fun and is a good Edu investment for my bucks. If my photography improves I'll come raise this 4 to a 5 as it is definitely a well done app, generally. I live in the heart of startup land and listen, their development and Databasing investment in this is not peanuts.

Great website. I have a Pony Tail Palm and was wondering why the some of the tips are brown, sometimes the whole leaf. I forgot I had this site downloaded. I took a picture and very quickly I received a reply. I am probably watering to much and it ☺️may not be getting enough indirect light. I will make the corrections to the care of my Peggy Sue. This is a wonderful webpage. So glad I refound it on my IPhone. Thank you very much.

Trained help. I echo the reviews of others that like the fact that trained botanists will review the photos submitted to give more definite answers than what simple picture comparisons may provide. I was quite happy with my answer provided, however it does cost $2 to receive such an answer. I was able to identify other plants rather easily by comparing pictures submitted of known plants to mine. There was one though I needed expert help with and the answer was prompt as promised. I think it's worth the occasional $2 for such help. The only disappointing aspect of such help was that the specific species could not be identified given the variations endemic to my region. The answer provided was still much more than I could have done on my own however. They were able to identify the genus which was more than I was able to do. 4 stars out of 5 for the prompt reply from the expert at a reasonable price but not 5 since the species could not be identified.

Latest iOS update causes the app to freeze.. I updated my phone in May 2021, and the app no longer works. You can take a photo but you cannot enlarge the image to fit into the area needed for identification. Very very disappointed this needs to be fixed because I love this app. Update June 2022. The app will no longer recognize or upload a photo that you take with the app. It will only behave normally if you take a picture of the plant with your camera first and then upload the photo. Otherwise nothing happens. It’s a little bit worse than my last review unfortunately, but once I get an answer it is nearly 100% correct update, January 2 023I am still having the same problem so I take a photo of the plant first and then add it to my library and use that photo. It does not seem to want to take Live Photos, I don’t mean live photo in the Apple sense, but in the app sense

Amazing. With a little patience and willingness to shoot several photos from different angles, and realizing we might not get the right match on the first return hit, we found we almost always were able to identify the weeds growing in our garden, picking them out from the wildflower mix we had thrown out this year (the mix had around 24 flowers in it, they all looked like weeds to us). Very pleasantly surprised with this app. Highly recommended ☺

Unsolicited iOS notifications. This app is one of those apps on the App Store that occasionally tugs on your shirt begging for attention by using iOS notifications just to try to get you to use it. This is a reference app. I use it when I need it. I don’t appreciate these nags. I realize I can disable notifications... but then I don’t get notified when a match is found, and I think unsolicited nags is an abuse of the notification system anyways. To some people these notifications might not be an annoyance, and I recognize that. It would be nice if we could customize what types of notifications we get. This way everyone can be happy. Other than that annoyance I think the app does a good job at doing what it says it can do.

Can't ID some common bedding plants. As an experienced gardener with a degree in botany, I thought this would be helpful when I'm out and about. So I tried it on the bedding plants on my porch to test it. While it did offer the correct item in 6 of 9 trials, only one of them was the top hit (purple spoonbill osteospermum). It completely failed on a plain red snapdragon, and a black single petunia. There was also no option to input a leaf for a non-flowering plant, such as ferns, or something grown for their leaves such as coleus. I tried my angel-wing begonia and got no results with a leaf (I did try the flower also, since it has a few at this time). Items tested also include pink semi-cactus dahlia, single yellow gerber daisy, double purple calibrachoa, double purple petunia, and purple lobelia. Since this app has failed at common bedding plants that I have no trouble with, I can't see how it would be useful to me when I see something unusual in someones yard and want to know what it is on the spot.

Excellent results. Easily Five Stars. Excellent support. Full information of the explanation of what we needed. Our question was promptly acknowledged and we were told how many responses were made ahead of mine. An hour later we had our response. The information was accurate and corresponded to the plant that we asked about. We often passed by this bush with beautiful flowers that always intrigued us as to what it was called. Easily we took a few pictures of the whole plant and close ups of the flowers and easily submitted them via the app. I used this service about six months ago and we got similar expert replies and great customer care. A small fee for the Botanist's effort and time is part of the submittal - it is worth paying this small amount for knowing how to get a plant identified that you want to bring you joy for years to come after you plant it. Thank you app Developers and Botanists!

Terrible match results. I'm not very impressed with this. The developers claim that there are over 130,000+ entries and this app can't identify simple basic plants. I took a clear and precise picture of a plant in my yard and the possible matches that came up were no where close to what I took a picture of. I have seen where you claim to the "best", but how can you be the best of your matches are all over the place and no where close to what the picture is? I'm sure you'll respond back and say I didn't take a good picture or something like that, but I assure you I did. Especially since I took it with a high end camera and not my phone. This app does have potential of being good if you updated your interface.

Identified my House Plant IMMEDIATELY!. I was attempting to identify my house plant to make sure it wasn't poisonous to my new kitten and had zero luck with the LeafSnap app.. it made me needlessly 'snap' off a healthy leaf and place it on white background for contrast purposes to take a picture. After waiting almost 2 minutes it returned 26 possible plants and not ONE of them came even close to looking like my plant. So I decided to try ONE more app and I'm glad I chose this one. I didn't have to pay a dime, I just took a picture of the entire plant (no snapping off leaves or special backdrop colors needed) and BAM! It came back with two pictures both being my Exact plant!!! Took like 45 secs total... Seriously. Deleting LeafSnap immediately and keeping this super helpful and efficient app!

Excellent app for me!. Other plant identification apps search until they finally "time out" and fail. Every time I use GardenAnswers I immediately get the answers I need. It usually gives me several near matches to the photo I took, and the quality of the examples are so clear I can almost immediately feel confident I have chosen the correct one. The detailed information further confirms or rules out the match. I have deleted all the other such apps from my phone, including some I paid way too much for, knowing this is likely the only one I will ever need.

Botanist HELP - YAY!. This app on its own was not able to help me identify a very fragrant shrub from my front yard. What it DID do for me, however, was put me in touch with a knowledgeable individual whom I was told in advance was a Botanist, who very promptly responded (on a SUNDAY) to my submitted photos (I sent five - one of entire plant, a closer shot of a 1 foot section, and three close ups of leaf, blossoms and blossoms and leaves together) via email with my answer. They nailed it. (Pittosporum Tobira - Mock Orange!) In addition to the identification came practical information regarding the origin/care/watering/sun/pruning/pests of my plant. The app is free. The answers? $1.99 USD, which, for the prompt, accurate information plus the bonus info included was not unreasonable, I feel. If you are seriously seeking an answer to your gardening puzzle, this app may just be your best friend because if you're diligent you will get your answer. If you can't locate it on your own within the app you still have recourse to get your answer via a trained professional. VERY pleased, indeed.

Nailed It!. This is a great app. It can't work miracles and can't identify all flowers, but it has already helped me identify quite a few. And for one in particular that I could not ID anywhere, I consulted the horticulturist, who got back within the promised 24 hours with the name of the plant, along with a link where I could find pictures and information. This is just a fun pursuit for me, but if you need this kind of help, this is a great place to start if you don't have your own private horticulturist.

Mostly good matches, a few misses. Love this app! I'm trying to naturalize a large portion of my yard, meaning lots of Weeds find they're way in. Granted, some are lovely Weeds, and this app has helped me identify ones that look great but will take over and crowd out the variety in going for. One plant had to be submitted to a horticulturist, and I received an answer in a few short hours, well worth the $1.99. Sadly, this beauty only sprouts every two years so I'll have to keep it in file when I get confused as to what it is in 2019 😀. There's one plant that has yet to be identified, mainly because the big differentiator is the flowers, which haven't happened yet. Two of the possibilities are things to remove whereas the third option is a definite keeper so I'm hesitant to yank it out just in case.

Helps make the world a more beautiful place!. I’ve been using this app to beautify my outdoor space with native plants. Whenever I’m out walking in the woodlands I take snapshots of plants that I find attractive. I choose ones that are growing in a similar environment where I want to plant something. I pull up the pictures I’ve taken to identify each plant and then determine if it’s one I would like to add to my landscape. It’s been really helpful and saved me a lot of time and money. Seeing first hand what thrives in similar environments has prevented the buying, planting, and waste of trial and error plant choices. Thanks…what a great app!

GardenAnswers. I recently inherited my parents home and discovered I love gardening. But I don’t know much about it and I can’t even identify half the things sprouting up in my yard. This app has been so valuable! Take the picture, find out what it is and how to care for it. When the computer can’t answer with the touch of a button and a couple dollars a horticulturist takes over and identified the plant and told me everything I needed to know in an understandable fashion. Best app ever!!

Best app I use. As a gardener it's good to know what kind of weed you are dealing with and what kind of new flower has just sprung up in your garden. If you are like me you love to buy bags of wild flower seeds and this is a great app. This is also a great way to keep your garden safe from invasive species. If someone offers you a plant, it's important to know what you are getting into. The app loads so quickly and determines your flowers in no time. It's a great app that relies on machine learning and the more people who use it, the more accurate it is. Share it with your friends.

Wonderful!. I love this site! I had a plant for several years that I loved, and it was a casualty of a cross-country move. Unfortunately, I didn’t know its name and had been unable to find another one nor find anyone who could identify it until... GardenAnswers!! I stumbled across this site, submitted some photos to a horticulturist for identification, and shortly thereafter, I got my detailed, accurate response. Finally, I know what my plant was and now I can get another one! What a great resource! Thank you!

Golden Rain Tree. I found a plant while weeding and thought it was pretty so I looked up an app to take a picture and identify it. I found Garden Answers and tried it. Wow the first suggestion was correct. I double checked their answer and it was dead on. I’m impressed. I found out the plant is a beautiful native Chinese tree called a Golden Rain Tree that grows to 35 ft and has beautiful flowers that resemble yellow Honeysuckles. Then it gets a fruit seed pod that is also a yellow or a tan color that is also very attractive and it’s great for the local wildlife and that’s great because we have tons of whitetail deer. GREAT APP. THANKS APPLE AND GARDEN ANSWERS. *****😃 Kevin Bradshaw San Antonio Tx.

Perfect for hobbyists!. Have you ever been walking down the street, or through the woods and noticed a plant that you’d love to have? But you don’t know what it’s called? While I enjoy plants and planting them, I am quite ignorant to the many species the names of plants. This app works quite well, I’ve been using it for years and it appears as time goes by it gets smarter because when users post photos of plants, they accept or decline the results. This app routinely helps me find the name of plants and learn about whether or not they’re suitable for my desired locations. And it’s fun to use.

Learn your plants!!. Haha how cool is this app!? I submitted a picture of the plant because I just wanted to know wth it was! I searched on google image and nothing close to an answer showed! I paid $1.99 because when I even searched it didn’t show! but I needed answers!! I’m just wired like that.. and! I got my answer! It’s just nice to know what is what. Especially being me. I can’t seem to keep a plant alive so if I know exactly what it is, I can learn how to take better care of it with more research!! It’s free!! Just extra if you want to be extra like me 😂

Great help!. I’ve been wanting to find plant information lately, and this app helped a lot! I took photos of random plants in my house/yard/neighborhood, and I got very nice results. Some took longer to find on the list, but they were all there. Some of the plants I did were the Angel’s Wing cactus, a pumpkin, and several (other) types of squashes and gourds. I have several cactuses, gourds, squashes, and succulents in my house, so this really helped me figure out what they’re called and how to take professional care of them, and also some of their uses. I am quite satisfied.

Just google it. I love plants and gardening but houseplants are truly becoming my obsession and I have been acquiring new plants and making an active effort to study each one, it’s name, it’s preferred lighting/watering/fertilizer conditions etc. so I was excited when I heard good reviews about this app that could possibly make my plant life a little easier now that I have so many of them. Downloaded this app and another plant i.d. app and when I tried the app none of the plants the app suggested was anything close as to what my house plants from WALMART were! Took a picture of my Calathea Compact Star and the app suggestions were a philodendron(not even close!)and prayer plant(fairly close-ish) Same thing with another plant I just got. I used the google app and did an image search and it correctly identified my Calathea Compact Star.

Works better than advertised. I submitted 2 pictures of a plant and some comments. I received an apparently personalized response in less than 1 hr. The response commented on specifics of my email, but there was sentence that referred to a problem and lack of flowers in the photo that may have been from another email, but it didn’t cause any problem. There was a link to Wikipedia that proved the identification was correct. They charge $1.99 for each use. Well worth it to me.

This is my GO TO app. Although I have several flower and plant ID apps, this is my first choice because it is usually correct and I can easily find what I want. I love this app. It helps me find out what plants are what. Sometimes it misses but most times it is correct. I use this app all the time. I like how I can go back into my photos and pull a photo to use instead of having to take the pictures right then, although that is an option, too.

Misleading and hollow app. It’s unfortunate to have to write this as it seems to be in tandem with a whole slew of apps centered around plant keeping and horticulture. If you are looking for answers, the only ones you will get from this are through the Facebook group that you would have to join. Otherwise, there’s nothing in the app. The other things to do are go through a portal of places to buy plants, which you can easily do with a web search. The ask a horticulturist laughable section is sadly only to “identify” your plant, and they literally just send you a Wikipedia article.... it’s honestly embarrassing that this is what horticultural apps have for us today. All of this I already do as a beginning plant keeper, I’m looking for a space online I can speak with others who are also hobbyists or horticulturists. This app doesn’t do any of that. It’s a shell of an app for web searches and a Facebook (cringe) group.

I use this every time I see a new plant or tree. Using this app, I quickly saw the tremendous variety in plants and small differences in leaves, stems, colors, and flowers separate one from another. I like to save all my plants to favorites where they are easy to find. By taking a photo I can compare possible plants and almost always make a positive ID. Without a flower on the plant, it’s a lot more difficult. Still, this is a wonderful app and I highly recommend it.

Ask a horticulturist. I have been trying to identify a shrub in my yard for several years. I asked my knowledgeable gardening friends, but no one could identify it. I decided to try a plant identification app and stumbled on Garden Answers. I am so pleased with the results. Although I didn’t see a matching photo that helped me, the app gave me the option to upload a photo and ask a horticulturist. It only took about an hour to have my answer. I am going to love this app!

Great app!. I’ve always been a gardener & hiker. Since becoming a widower, I am now responsible for tending all my wife’s gardens which include a succulent garden, several perennial gardens, a herb garden plus lots of everything else including wild flowers. This app has helped me to identify everything & enable me to properly care for everything with great success! It’s also awesome to use while hiking, identifying all kinds of amazing discoveries!

A must for beginner and advanced gardeners. Many of the plant I photograph are found easily on the app, especially if you use the narrow search. However there was one past and our garden I could not identify, so I went to the horticulturist, and for a mere two dollars I was able to get information on an invasive weed and advice on exactly how to get rid of it. Do you have experts at your fingertips is just awesome! Be sure to take close-up pictures as it will make your search much easier.

Payments could be done better. Most apps of this ilk generally have a discount for buying more of the consultations or whatever they're selling. It seems that a mode of $2 for one, $7 for 5, $13 for 10 is more reasonable … but sheesh… $2 for a plant ID is actually pretty pricey. I have a dozen or so plants that are probably brainlessly simple to ID for any number of Open Space personnel in a half dozen towns around. Getting them done here for $24 for the sake of convenience and to support the app seems silly. For the person who couldn't get her African Violet cousin identified … yeah well- this is apparently a North American GARDEN app. Remember that, reactionary folks. Don't freak out.

Bottle tree. This app is just fantastic, it was able to show my tree and give me information regarding the behavior during its climate cycles. I obtained my “Bottle Tree” purely by accident. A seed must have blown into my yard landing in a pot with soil. I had no idea what was growing, but I knew it was something I should nurture. Now, three or four years latter, I have been able to identify my stranger with this APP. I have been able to identify other plants by just submitting a photo of the leaf. This App is invaluable, I was told about it by my daughter who also loves this app!

Failure to identify an orchid plant. I was looking more for a gardening care app but also a plant id. I saw this and thought I’d try it. It failed to identify orchid plant matched with plants I’ve never seen before except for a plant that my mom calls a snake plant which is a plant that has pointed leaves and grows straight up with a stripped detail and if the tips are broken it won’t grow. Also I do not like that you MUST subscribe for email and promotions or newsletters to sign up for free. I attempted to push the grayed out green button with out the box checked and it wouldn’t do anything. Then I noticed the button changed shades of green when the option of receiving emails was checked vs unchecked. Why make it an optional thing when it is a must to use the app? You might as well take the ability to check the box or leave it unchecked out by stating that you will receive emails while using the app. I’ve removed the app. Hopefully I can unsubscribe for promotions and such.

Wonderful App. This app is no joke. I have a plant in my backyard I didn’t recognize so I took a few pictures and paid a small fee (a little less than $2) to get an experts answer on what it could be. Less than 24 hours later I had my answer! The app is easy to use and you don’t always have to pay to get an answer on a plant. Lots of other great features are included. I’ll definitely be using this again in the future!

Hydrangea paniculata. Brilliant app. Often wonder what plants are and now have it at my fingertips.

Rain lily identified. It’s sprouted prolifically in my garden after several days of rain ; self seeded

Awesome !!!. Great app !!! I'm on holiday in Indonesia and finding some awesome plants. For my garden back home

Perfect identification. I really love this app. It never disappoints, every time it identifies the plant.

Sago palm. Your app is exciting, fast and accurate. Thank you so much.

Bad app. Just asks you to pay above $3 for one question. Other features just take you to their website. Pointless app basically

Great app. I tried this app a few years ago and it failed to identify a wattle tree which was disappointing so I put it aside for a while. This version seems a lot better and so far has been pretty accurate.

Fantastic. Had my plant back to me within 3 hours!!! Wonderful service

Great resource at your fingertips. Awesome app for all.

Excellent answer. Thank you for the excellent and informative answer, it was lovey to see it so quickly after I posted the question

Fabulous!. I get great response time and good info on my plants. Very reliable. But there was ONE time I found a plant that they couldn’t identify. 😃 Probably because I only had 1 dodgy photo.

Wonderful App. Thanks for helping me to learn about all of our plant friends.

GardenAnswers. I think gardenanswers app is a good app because of the following statements. . It helps to get an exact answer . The user can ask an horticulturist . It is very popular Bad points . There are many answers to the topic and it is hard to chose each one

Account now required?. This is a great tool, and I used it a lot in the past. Just opened it up to find I am now required to make an account to use it? It's a hard no from me, guys. Deleting and finding another. But nice try at the data mining. 👎🏻

Great tips and ID app. It’s ability to name a plant is greatly appreciated even though I know most plants in my yard. The care of plants is a good support mechanism providing some help along the way. I’m not wrapped in having the ads for plants that I already have but can see that it could assist with plants from outside my yard. All in all a helpful addition to any gardeners “phone a friend” regime.

Too many notifications!. It doesn’t matter how good an app is, if suddenly and unexpectedly- notifications before breakfast outnumber annual usage, delete!

Much better now! Highly recommend. First downloaded this app 18 months ago and found it quite ineffective, but I came back to it again yesterday and the current version is brilliant! I've now been able to identify my entire succulent collection. Very happy

Great app. Fast and reliable. Great taking own photos and getting matched back.

Great app. Gives answers majority of the time

Nadia. Excellent service! Very happy with the answers I receive from Garden Answers.

Thank you!!. Quick response, personalized recommendations, very much appreciated!!

Fast and efficient plant ID. I was thrilled to receive such a quick response to my plant ID. I had spent ages trying to identify the flower with no luck. Success at last! 😁

Need to register an account before using. Won’t use anything that forces me to share personal information for basic functionality.

Sunflower. Thought it was thank you for confirmation 🌻

Love it!. Just love this app. Have used it so many times. Have found though some Australian plants don’t come up but the more people use it and contribute the better it will become. Recommend this app to all.

Thrilled. I only found about this app 2 days ago and already I've been able to identify 2 plants. I will be using this app a lot when I move interstate and establish my new garden.

Always comes up with feasible options. A great app which rarely misses the mark! Does depend on the quality of the pic but a really handy “go to”.

Garden crazy. Easy app to use, love it

0/5 identifications. Uploaded 5 clear uncluttered photos of various succulents and none of the suggestions were close.

Photo. Very helpful in identifying plants

GardenAnswers- fantastic. Fantastic app Identifies obscure plants, trees and flowers every time. You can even ask an expert All for free!!

At Last. Excellent, way of the future. Quick accurate response for a difficult plant, thanks.

Rogue Adware in violation of AppStore rules. This app is sending promotions and advertisements daily, which is clearly in violation of the AppStore rules. It can’t even identify Hydrangea. Hopeless! My request for identification has never been answered.

Great app!. I’ve tested out a few plant/flower identifier apps and this one was the best by far! Highly recommend! Not always accurate but accurate majority of the time, offering multiple suggestions if the first one isn’t a match! Well designed and easy to use app, great!

Dreadful upload times...continued. I wrote the following review yesterday. Today the app is far more responsive and does provide a progress bar when it's uploading. So I take back most of what I said and change my stars from 2 to 4. The pictures one is asked to match are a bit small on a phone. ______________________________________________________________________________________ I had an impression from the description that the app had a database of plants. Not so. Photos have to be uploaded to their database. And you have to create an account which is always a dubious prospect these days. I'm sending my first photo. It's had the word "Sending…" on my iPhone screen for 10 minutes so far, and without a progress bar, just a spinning cog wheel. Has it hung? Do I quit it? I just spent $6 to eleminate ads. I'll eliminate the app if it doesn't work. Okay, that's 15 minumtes so far. I'm quitting and will try again later. Not happy.

Nonsense. What a load of rubbish! A lot of gardening apps are the same. It identified my rosellas as poison ivy!!! My avocado plant as dogwood!!!??? I understand nothing is perfect and to get plant ID would be difficult. Absolutely not worth it. Glad I didn’t go add free and do my dough.

Plant ID. Great App! Found the ID of my plant and got back to me within the hour. Very impressive! Even told me it's origins and care instructions. Throughly recommend.

Very helpful. Quick to answer and very helpful! I looked everywhere online to try and identify my plant with no success, but with this app I received the correct name of my plant very quickly.

Jimson weed. Perfectly matched

Cool app. This is pretty great and seems to have a lot of knowledge. I just wish I could add (or suggest an addition for the app makers to approve) regarding the plant I have which it couldn’t identify. Comparing it with a lot of plants and knowing what it wasn’t helped me to describe it in a google search and get an accurate result, so even that helped. But wouldn’t it be great to be able to submit a picture, say this is ‘x’ plant and then that info can be reviewed and added to.

in LoVe with this app!. i suggest it for people who love the outdoors

Map outdated. The map used to locate the position of the plants is outdated. Can you use Google maps?

Valuable and easily obtained advice.. Very good advice given. Particularly useful where a potentially harmful weed/invasive species is identified.

Amazing with so much potential!. I love this app- it is very helpful knowing that I can take photos of unknown plants and look them all up later. It would be great if there was an option to save matched plants to an album within the app where you could add notes, not just have them emailed. If the features were expanded I would happily pay for an app like this.

Great app. Reading the reviews and already when I go into the app it is amazing

Really helpful but needs more user interaction. This is a fantastic plant identifying app, and can only become more accurate if users bother to input their own photos to the data base when the app accurately ID’s their mystery plant. The more photos of a particular plant which are added to the app, the easier it will be for users to successfully ID any plant. Detailed and fairly decent photos of the plant are obviously more helpful than poorly lit, fuzzy ones. If you have even a basic ability to take a photo on your phone, and use apps, you’ll be able to use Plant ID. There are two ways to use photos to ID plants on the app - by opening the app and THEN taking a photo of a plant, or using a older photo from your own photo library to upload to the app. If you worry about cyber safety, just don’t allow the app to access your photo library. The next step is that the app brings up numerous photos of similar (in theory) plants won your screen. You can scroll through all the app’s data base of plant photos, with names and helpful info, until hopefully you hit a bullseye. You can even dig deeper by tapping on a plant in the app’s data base which takes you to other sites to continue researching. I mainly use this app when I’m out and about and spot a plant I can’t ID and may want to buy. As I mentioned though, the photos of plants in the app’s data base will improve if users add their own photos once their plants are successfully identified. If I don’t find a match, I ask the “experts” via the app to look at my photo and get back to me with the name. Again, success depends on users adding decent photos which show their mystery plants when the app has successfully identified the plant. You don’t need to be a great photographer, but the more your photo shows the true colours and plant details the more helpful this app will be.

Love this app. Found names for quite a few plants I didn’t know.

Excellent App. This app has been of real value to me when I see plants I would like to grow but do not know their identity. It is such a terrific help for new and learning gardeners. Many thanks

Fast and accurate 💕. Excellent way to discover what it’s in your garden!

Great app. So handy when you can’t identify a plant or flower

Garden Answers. Identified flowering perenual on the bases of a picture of it’s leaves only prior to producing a flower.... impressive!

Ne s’ouvre pas. Impossible s’ouvrir l’app. Elle reste sur un genre d’écran d’accueil.

Not working. App will not even ipen....

Garden Answers. Really quite good at finding a match as long as your photo provided is good. I have luck a high percentage of the times I try and appreciate the ability to save my searches and save to favourites. The descriptions provided are excellent.

Not opening…. For now, I can’t but leave one star as the app just opens on the logo and freeze there…

Ne s’ouvre pas. Comment cela se fait que le problème d’ouverture de l’application dure depuis plus d’un an sur iPad ?

Wonderful and accurate app. As far the plant id goes the app is wonderful quick and very helpful, the only thing I would suggest improvement on is the information about the plants, easy enough to find out once I have the name though! Great job! 👌🏽👍🏽

White screen with logo. That it white screen with logo Useless Bug not fix since February according to other comments

Not opening. The stays on splash screen and is not opening on iphone. Not worth any attention.

Very informative. I got my answer to my question within 24 hours. Great! Thank you!

Pourquoi appli n’ouvre pas!. Que dois-je faire?

Can’t even get the app to open.. Disappointing.

Wonderful. The only app to – finally – found my answer. Thank you so much.

L’appli n’ouvre pas. Cette appli ne fonctionne pas. Après l’avoir téléchargée, elle ne s’ouvre pas.

Great!. This app is pretty accurate and useful! Love it!

Awesome. A great app for plant identification…found my plants name within seconds of sending the photo in. Incredible!

WoW, l’app ne démarre même pas. Ne perdez pas de temps avec cette application, elle ne démarre même pas, reste bloquée à l’écran de démarrage.

Great starter ID tool. Most plants I try to identify it can typically match up... sometimes it takes trying a few different pictures before you get a match. I highly reccomend the 'ask a horticulturist' feature for those of you that aren't having any luck or are stumped. I was given a piece of a plant by a co-worker and after trying to read up on it based on what she told me I realized it wasn't correct. I used this app and the suggested answers did not match up.. scoured the internet for a longggg time trying to figure out what it was and could never get a close enough ID either. I broke down and ended up paying the $2.79 or whatever it is and had an answer within 24 hours which was a match. Small price to pay for the convenience of a quick and correct answer! I was impressed. Will use again if I need more plants ID'd!!

Lost of Time. Won’t open garbage

black Medic identified. Thanks for the confirmation that I have an infestation of Black Medic. Much appreciated. Would have liked a lime about how to eradicate it as it is ruining my lawn.

Love this app. This has been a fantastic app for identifying plants. I often take photos of unidentified plants. This is invaluable in finding the common and scientific names for them.

Super easy to use. I love this app for answering my garden questions in a garden I didn’t plant. It helped me identify and avoid poison ivy too!

Garden Answers seldom accurate. I’m not pleased with the app. It identifies plants maybe 2/5 times correctly and when incorrect just offers me to pay a horticulturist to ID. Don’t waste your $$

Ne s’ouvre pas. Dommage

Stonecrop. Very good service

Great Help. Very way to use.

Great resource for pet owners!. We like to grow herbs and native plants on our deck, but we want to make sure our cat is safe! Within an hour and just over $2 I had an answer to my plant query! Money well spent!!!

Unsuccessful. I have tried identifying several plant using this app with no success. I have even tried ones I already know. It gives me random matches, but not the right ones.

Fantastic way to get spammed to death. Email after email with no obvious way to make them go away.

Excellent site. Great resource for new gardeners!

Won’t open. Don’t bother downloading.. Tried to install and uninstall many times. Will not open.

N’ouvre pas!. L’appli téléchargée n’ouvre pas et reste sur une page présentant un visuel.

Could not identify plant. Produced a variety of generic long leafed plants, but not the correct one. A short questionnaire about the size and texture of the plant would have helped. It seems to only go on leaf shape.

Really good at identifying plants. It was really good at identifying a plant that I had no idea as to what it was.

Wont open anymore, useless. Useless

Great service from “Ask a horticulturalist”!. I had a mysterious plant growing near my front porch and try as I may I could not ID the plant for years. Then I found this app and used the cool (paid) feature, “Ask a Horticulturalist”, and I got my answer within 24 hours for just $2! Perfect ID and now I know where to turn if I ever need plant ID advice again. Love it!!

Garden Answers Plant ID. Terrific experience! have to say, I WAS skeptical, at first, when I decided I needed use the “ask an expert” option (about a fruit tree we purchased), but to my surprise and delight, we received a very personalized reply (along with a “standard” definition). Thank y’all for the info; on when and how it is best to prune the tree and how to get the desired growing results.

Awesome app. I have been trying to find out what my plant is and how to take care of it and no one could help. The nursery couldn’t help, Facebook couldn’t help but this app found it in just a few clicks and FREE! I’m keeping this app as I never know what plants are and how to take care of them. Highly recommend!

Really is great.. Don't let people complaining about the free part put you off. They're just cheap and ignorant of how this stuff works. I paid two bucks and they correctly identified an awful spreading thistle for me. Even gave me links on how to prevent its growth. Honestly some of these poor ratings shock me. What crass. Buck up buttercup, you get what you pay for. Don't offer nothing and expect gold in return.

Very helpful. When a photo of a plant in my garden did not match any plants already in the Garden app, I pd $1.99 and got an answer within one day. It was accurate, very informative on care for the plant and I am now know what I have that is attracting hummingbirds and bees ( a Firebush, Latin name identified). If the horticulturists had been unable to identify it immediately, I would get a refund on the $1.99.

Really wanted to like this app. When I tried to upload photos to identify a plant, the app would shut down. Or the app would tell me that the photo I was trying to upload was not viable. I would have to shut down the program and restart. Then it would accept the photo. The identification was spotty. The app would show a picture that was very similar to what I had; when I clicked on it, it would show completely different plant that looked nothing like the one I was trying to identify. Sad.

This app works --literally. This app works perfectly for me and gives accurate information and identification . Sometimes you may have to Take 2 to 3 pictures to identify it 100% but every time they were suggesting possibilities that were almost right on the money. well worth the time to take a few photos

Great app. I use this app all the time while hiking and sometimes in my Chicago neighbourhood. I like that the answers are immediate, for the most part, unless the plant doesn't quite match. Then there's a botanist (or botany enthusiast) that looks at the pictures, location, and any other info to discern your plant. I don't usually purchase anything, but I don't mind paying $2 to get real answers!

Campkanc. Having purchased an older home with some gardens established last fall, there were a few plants I was not familiar with. Happy to say I now know the names of these plants thanks to your app! I would say some of your pictures could be a little better quality so when you zoom they don't become blurry and distorted in order to truly identify the plants.

Found it!. Thank you. After a few tries, I found the plant growing in my flower bed. Out of a package of mixed seeds I planted several years ago this one seemed to have sprouted after the others had died. It survived a very cold winter and one snowfall and has really taken off. It has several Clusters of buds and many single ones along the stems. I can’t wait til it flowers.

Better than Google!. You were spot on identifying this Ginger plant. I matched my plant with your plant by the dried flower and buds. I had cut my dried flowers off so I couldn’t send them. I have some uprooted from my daughter-in-law’s growth of about 50 flowers. They made a magnificent scene! I never would have thought of planting Ginger like that. Beautiful!!!! Thank you! I LOVE YOUR APP!♥️

Requires login and won't disclose privacy policies. I used this a few times in the past with mixed success; I would have given it 3 or 4 stars. But I don't recall having to create an account and log in (or worse, let them connect with your other accounts like Facebook) to get even basic functionality. Just tried it now and login was demanded. See the note from the App Store that the authors haven't disclosed any privacy policies, which is even more of a red flag than requiring login or account linking. So I'm deleting it.

Awful service from in app purchases. Their ask a horticulturalist disease or problem section is useless. I was told they could not identify the problem. I uploaded 4 seperate photos of the issue. I was dumb enough to spend the $1.99 to get answer from an app. Smart bet is to use Google. Found the problem my leaves are having. Took about 15 minutes and didn't cost me $1.99. will be deleting this app for sure.

All I Can Tell You Is … the App works!. I have a few flowering plants on my property that I could not identify, along with one I planted, but lost the name tag. This app solved my problem and work wonderfully! It was on point when identifying my plants from photos I took and is now my go to app in our garden. And best of all … it’s FREE!

Very helpful!. I used this app to identify flowers in the garden of the home I recently moved into. It found all of them except one quickly. The app is easy to use, all you do is snap a picture and see results! I do wish it didn’t cost $2 to have someone view a photo if you can’t find the result for free however, that could quickly get costly if you have several plants you’re trying to identify

Amazing!!. I just bought a beautiful little plant at Walmart. It must have been the last one. There was no label (and no price!) I came home and searched for apps that would help me ID it. I tried this one first, took a picture of the plant, and within a second--ONE SECOND--I had an identification with pictures that left no doubt what it was. It was absolutely amazing--and free. Thank you!!!!!

Very Helpful and Free!. Let’s you either take a fresh picture, or choose one in your library. You can also narrow the search to make it much easier to locate your answer. The best part, is that it’s a free app, and it gives you options on what you would like to do with the information. Very easy to use.

Hasn’t Failed me Yet!. I’m an amateur gardener that loves plants and loves to know what’s growing. This app hasn’t failed me yet in identifying plants in my neighborhood. The variety of images in the database and the many angles seen is great for identifying plants. I also appreciate the when to plant notifications and the direct link to nurseries where I can purchase. Great user experience!

Plant survival app. Lol. I totally love being able to take a picture of my plant and pulling up what it is called so I can research how to care for it. It is also help me avoid plants that need more attention than I am able to provide! Therefore ensuring the survival of both plans I already have and those that I should not have!

So great to get accurate answers about plants!. I have used this app almost a dozen times and have found the correct answers from among the suggested plants almost every time . Including from the “Ask a horticulturalist” option, which costs $1.99 but is worth it to solve a particularly challenging plant mystery. So great t have this!

Excellent!. I want to thank the people involved who identified a fern-like plant growing wild in my yard. It could not be identified at first but they offered me a refund or I could try again with more photos. The second chance (with more photos) paid off and I now know what it is! And it's a keeper! Thank You Garden Answers for hanging in there with me and being so polite while you were at it!

Hasn’t failed me yet!. Every so often I see a plant or shrub that I don’t recognize and snapping and uploading a pic gets me the answer. Occasionally I just flat out forget the name of a plant in my yard and this app helps me remember. My yard previously belonged to a master gardener so there are some less common plants here and there. I am still learning how to navigate around the app.

Don’t waist your money. UPDATE: This crap app won’t make it easy for you to get your money back. They send you to the Apple support page instead of anywhere useful. On top of that Apple wants you to contact the App developer. This app is garbage! I sent multiple photos of a plant to be identified. 24 hours later I got an email saying I was 13th in line and they would respond within 72 hours. Less than 2 minutes later I got a message saying they can’t identify my plant because they don’t have enough images, I however enclosed multiple. It’s a scam! I will request my money back.

Efficient. I have been looking fora replacement for a flower ID app called Like That Garden, which seems to have disappeared. Take a photo, get a few answers, choose the most similar photo on offer, and done. This one seems to answer that purpose. Updated a few years later: still the best app.

Clear, concise answer to the name of my mysterious plant. I sent in two photos of an unusual vine, honeysuckle-like but different from anything I had ever seen or heard of. The next day I got a plethora of information including photos of various varieties other than mine - and the fact that this was an heirloom plant. Naturally i shall use this source if information in the future. THANK YOU Garden Answers Arlene in NW CT

My Go-To App. I have been using the app for several years; it has been incredibly helpful! I love the fact that not only can you identify a plant, you can read more about its growing preferences and learn more details about it. Garden Answers has definitely been my go-to app for all things plant or tree related!

Weeds be gone!. I know weeds are just plants growing in places you don’t want them, but I had some and needed to identify them and find a way to remove them without harming the surrounding plants. Got a great answer to my question from the garden expert in the app. Then I started using the plant identification function in the app, and was hooked! Now we’re ID’ing trees we see on walks, volunteer flowers on the side of the house. Fun and helpful - highly recommend!

Amazing. After buying a house from an enthusiastic gardener, I am often puzzled over what is coming up, and whether it is a flowering weed. And just as often I am astonished that this app tells me just from a photo from my iPhone. Occasionally it misses or gives me several choices, but usually gets it with a second, better, photo. Amazing!

Love this app!. I’m in a new state and am trying to fit out our garden with flowers that bloom at all seasons. When I see one in the area, I stop the car and use Garden answers to take a pic and ID the plant. Almost 100% successful! It had problems with a few ornamental trees, but I submitted the pics to the horticulturalists in the app and got answers in a day. Highly recommended!

Accurate, but..... I have twice submitted photos of plants to be identified, both times the plant was identified correctly and my inquiry was answered in less than 24 hours. But I did also have the sense of both times that my questions were not being answered by knowledgeable horticulturist but by someone who simply did a Google image search and copy and pasted what they found on Wikipedia Word for Word. Also receive a lot of promotional emails, if I’m paying for in app purchases I don’t expect to get daily promotional emails.

Great plant ID tool w/ added features!. I was excited to have an “at-hand” plant ID tool for logging items to my wish list, and this did not disappoint! Better yet, it comes with shopping tools to find rare and exclusive varieties, plus the “ask a horticulturalist” tool. Someone responded within a day and helped me finally figure out what was causing leaf rot on my houseplants. A must have for any plant nerds! 🤓

AMAZING. I LOVE this app! This is the best plant identifying app hands down. The quality is great, it's free, no pop-up adds or any of that junk! It identified everyone of my plants accurately, and gave information to every possible plant I could have wondered about. It told you how it grew, where, when, and even if it was edible! The only downside is... NO DOWNSIDE!! THIS IS AWESOME!! Now go have fun and identify some plants! 😜🍀☘🍂🌲🌳🌴🌱🌿🍃🌾🍁🌸🌺🌻🍄

Great App !. Had a wonderful first experience with GardenAnswers. Sent a series of pictures in on a weed which they identified as Burdock. Had first tried two other apps with no success and poor communication but GardenAnswers was responded with the answer quickly and with a clear explanation. Very easy to use and as I said I liked the constant communication and updates.

Selling my email address?. Hi garden answers. Did you sell my email address? Within a day of giving you my address I was getting so much spam in my inbox all related to garden products. I hadn’t given my email address out for a long time before that so… Also, I just checked out their privacy policy. FYI “When you visit the GardenAnswers site, we also automatically collect certain other information about you. This includes the URL that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, your IP address, which pages you visit, what types of products you purchase.”

Pleasantly surprised!. This is a surprisingly accurate app, and the option to have an expert review the photo is a wonderful bonus! The only thing that could make it any better is if it were possible for users to post new plant varieties :^D There would need to be a verification time period of course, to avoid potential inaccuracies (don't want this app to be another "wikipedia"!haha) but allowing users to post new varieties could really up the game!

Great app for identifying plants!. I have used this app at least 10 times, and each time, it found what I was looking for on the first time on 9 of 10 times! The 1 remaining time, the plat was the second result it returned. Not a bad record for a remote view of a plant! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

My Japanese Acer Maple. I thank God and my sister Inlaw for this beautiful gift! I just don’t understand why The leaves color have not changed it’s 3yrs old this year and the past the leaves changed yellow, orange! Do you think the leaves still have time to change! I have it my porch because weather has been bad I live south New Jersey and it’s in the right pot ! I love your site

Wow! Identified immediately. Get this app! I just picked my Mom a few flowers from a flower bush in our yard, and I had itching and burning within minutes. I snapped a photo and posted it on Facebook looking to find out what it is. Someone recommended this app. It literally took this app less than a minute to identify my flower. Now I know that my allergic reaction is nothing to be too concerned about and that I don't have to rush to the hospital. Thank you, GardenAnswers!

Quick Response & Accurate Identification. I’m just reviewing the “Ask a Horticulturist” section because that’s all I’ve used so far. Response came in less than 2 hours even considering I was #21 in the cue . They had my Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium) pegged and gave me a link to its Wikipedia page. I could tell by the photos and description that this was the right one. Thanks so much!

Instant success. I found a bunch of flowers on the side of a road in a very rich area I picked them all up brought them home I needed answers immediately I’ve never seen this flower and I am an admin LANDSCAPER sure enough to my luck it’s a perennial it’s beautiful and thanks to your app I was able to find it immediately thank you so much for this information.

Fast, accurate answers!. This is a wonderful app...amazing to me how fast it identifies a plant in question. Thank you so much for making identification of "mystery" plants a simple, fun activity...and thanks for your educational notes giving the plant's Latin name and common nicknames. I enjoyed looking at photos of the subject plant, too. An enjoyable experience...Cheers to the app creators and skilled contributors.

love this app!. WOW - this app is wonderful. I took a picture and had an answer to my question in less than 24 hours. I’m going to use this again since I’m a new home owner with a lot of established plants and I have no idea what they are. This saves time with the “waitandseeums” to find out if your plant is a keeper or just a pretty weed.

Great app!. This app is super easy to use. As others have mentioned, the results returned can be overwhelming- it would be good if the choices were fewer. However, like others, I contacted the horticulturalist for $2 and got a fantastic description of my mystery plant in less than a day. Problem solved! Not a weed, but a type of raspberry!

Flower Identifier APP. Just got it for my walks with my husband in our Bay Area neighborhood loaded with flowers plants and trees, many of which I do not know and have been curious about. My first photo was in my backyard of a lovely little flower sometimes called a poor man's orchid. The APP identified it and gave me more information. I can hardly wait for our next walk. What fun!

Excellent Plant identification. Contacted a horticulturist via app when I had unsuccessfully tried to ID an unusual shrub via the app's plant identification section. The plant ID section was amazing; it brought up so many options & helped narrow searches learned a LOT! But w/out success, I turned to the horticulturists. They are very timely with their responses. And easy to work with, as my first pics weren't enough, but my second batch with blooms brought an instant ID! Thanks!

Fantastic from the start. I've had this app for at least 3-4 yrs I think, and it's always been fantastic! They have identified all my mysterious plants, flowers mushrooms etc in a timely manner. I love the newest feature of being able to match them yourself. It's quicker than waiting for an email, and I'm sure saves the company money. Thank you for offering a great, free, easy way to identify plants!

It was good while it lasted. I downloaded this app a couple of years ago because I had random plants growing in my backyard... so I got rid of those unwanted plants.. well it's been a while since I used this app.. I found new plants.. unwanted plants in my backyard... and to test the accuracy of this app I took pictures of plants I know of.. yea it's bogus.... it told me my mint was a tomatillo plant... 🤔 and there was this other plant that I don't know of and it told me it's a strawberry plant... yea strawberries don't grow straight up... from what I know they grow and hangover... so yea.. thanks it's been fun...

My Go-to Source for a Quick Plant Consult. Love this app. I’ve been using it for a couple of years, and it never disappointed me. It’s very user-friendly, and it’s also free. Once you visually identify your plant, you can better understand how to care for your home garden. I like that you can purchase plants as well. It

Everything Nature. When I first downloaded this app I was skeptical since other apps for identification were really inaccurate or couldn’t find any identification. To my surprise, I asked it to identify several plants which I already knew the species and it identified all of them correctly. Thank you for giving us a great app that actually works!!

Very impressed. The photo feature works surprisingly well. It will show you plants that look very similar. I was unable to find the name of my plant so I did pay the $1.99 for a professionals help and within two hours I had my answer along with other details of the plant. The information wasn’t copied and pasted from someone else. I will continually use the app because of how nice it was.
