I honestly don’t know how to feel about this.. I downloaded this, just today, and i feel that it just doesn’t have enough information about the app. What instrument is it for? I’m using it for my violin, but I don’t know if it’s made for the violin. I haven’t really had a chance to use it, since SOMEONE is playing music in the background, but it doesn’t look too bad. I tried your metronome app and it was good. Thanks for reading this!

Love this App. This app is soooo helpful. Before a practice, rehearsal, or concert I can quickly and easily access an easy way to tune my flute. I wish there were more like it. It took me a while to find a good tuning app and this app was the one I needed and found working just how I needed to. The only difficulty is that sometimes it has a hard time picking up my instrument or high note that I am playing. That being said it is a hard thing in general wether app, real runner, or human to pick out a specific sound or listen to a high note.

Great tuner!. I use this tuner for my violin. Whether in class or at home, it does the job well. The only thing is that I wish the tuner would focus on the instrument I play instead of those around me in class. It’s somewhat hard to tune my E-string because it’s so high-pitched and everyone else is tuning too. Other than that, it great!! Highly recommend.

InsTuner. I think that insTuner is amazing nice. My sister downloaded insTuner she didn’t download anything else on her phone. If I ever get a phone the only thing downloaded will be insTuner and my password will be insTuner. If I go to a different country or a different place I will chance my name to insTuner. insTuner is the best thing that ever happened to me! From #Team InsTuner

Outdated. The app has a feature to “pay with a tweet” which uses the integrated accounts in the IOS settings. The only problem with this is that Facebook and twitter accounts are no longer integrated into iOS as of iOS version 11. Now, when you try to pay with a tweet, the app looks for the account in settings instead of just letting you log in with the Facebook or twitter app, but since those accounts are no longer stored in the settings, the app just returns an error message.

Please Read!. So Honestly, when I got this app I thought it would be cheap and inefficient, I was dearly wrong! As a person who doesn't have a violin teacher anymore, this helped be since I don't have a tuner and cannot afford one. I thank the creators who made this because this saved my life right now!

Simple and effective!. This app has a super minimalist interface, offering both tuning and tone generation. It works and looks great while doing it! The free version doesn't have ads, and the pro version (which adds features like changing pitch, changing the visualization, or note names) can be unlocked with either the $5 in app purchase or a simple sharing on social media. I've tried other apps on the app store, but this one takes the cake. It has all the features with a low price tag to boot!

Best chromatic tuning app that I have used. It directly tells you whether you need to make the note a higher or lower, and it even has a section where you can play any note from C with an octave of 0 to B with an octave of 8. This is really nice as it allows you to double check if a note is correct, and you can use it if the app can’t pick up a note. It picks up the notes most of the time, though it has some trouble picking up the highest notes on my kalimba at times The only thing I slightly dislike is that even though it directly tells you whether to tune up or down, the notes are on a circle, which makes it a little confusing (for me personally) which way is tuning up and tuning down. This normally isn’t a problem, except sometimes I need to tune a tine to a completely different note than the one it’s normally tuned to. For example, I have a song where I have to tune the tine that usually plays the note A to play the note F# That’s not that big of a deal though, so it won’t take a star off of my rating. This is definitely my favorite tuning app for my kalimba and I would highly recommend downloading this!

Won’t pick up sound. I tried tuning my kalimba and it would not pick up the sound most of the time. It picked up sound 2 times with the wrong note and wouldn’t pick up sound again. I had no case on my device either. I tried tuning the C note and it came up as and A. I downloaded this on my gen 9 iPad and the bottom of the screen was black and did not show the thing at the bottom as described. Overall, my kalimba did not get get tuned and I am very disappointed. Please fix.

This is the app to have.. If you sing or play an instrument this is a must app. There are so many uses and this works like a champ. Very easy to use. It will generate a tone you select or will show you what note is being played or sung or hummed. It also shows you when a sound is not ringing true.

Awesome. This app made it so much easier to tune my viola. I am a orchestra student and we need to tune are instruments regularly but it is hard to hear the right instrument when there are a bunch of instruments playing at the same time so this app made it so much easier.

Broken upgrade to pro version. I’ve been using this app for a long time now. However I just recently noticed that you can upgrade to a pro version for free via Twitter or Facebook but what’s the problem? You can’t seem to do that at all. If you press the up arrow in the bottom right hand corner you’re prompted to upgrade to the pro version. It gives you the option to “pay with a tweet”. Once you select that there are 2 badges that appear. You can use Facebook or Twitter to get the upgrade free. However if you select either of them you’re told “No Twitter accounts or no Facebook accounts configured”. Which is obviously a lie I have both Twitter and Facebook accounts configured, signed in and installed on my phone. If you try and go to the settings in the app there are buttons for share and follow (choosing Twitter or Facebook). Pressing Twitter gives you the same no accounts configured message and pressing Facebook the app immediately crashes... EVERY TIME. I think this is unfair and I’ve lowered my review accordingly.

Didn’t tune right. The moment i saw the reviews for this I thought , “Oh this might actually work for me” I tried the app and after i tuned my kalimba it did not sound like the note that I needed to practice for. I tried to tune 4 on my kalimba and it just made my new kalimba sound like a dead tine, on top of that the dead tine was only fixed after I bought a new tuner the next day. I do not suggest this to new kalimba players if they do not know how to tune. Just buy a tuner at a music store, it works better and is worth the hassle. I worked on this app to tune for almost thirty minutes. Wasn’t worth my time

Super Helpful. I’m in a couple of school band functions as well as trying to learn to play some instruments on my own. I’ve used this app to tune everything from a kettle bell timpani to an alto kalimba. Amazing app, and I’m considering paying for the pro version. A little slow when finding new notes in the scale, but after a few seconds it gets it and rads our accurately. My band teacher also uses this app along with MetroTimer for our practices. Outstanding download in my opinion.

Great app. This is such a great and reliable app for tuning string instruments. Playing violin and viola, it gives accurate adjustment suggestions for each one. You can go from the highest string to the lowest and it can pick it up easily. Would 10/10 recommend.

Low range issues. I realize it's free, which is why I have it 4 and not 3 stars. I've been using it to monitor my voice accuracy. It's pretty reliable down to Eb2. At D2 it's hit and miss, and anything lower than that... Good luck! At C2 it seems to choose tones at random. At B1, more often than not, it reads G6. If I was confident the monetary version didn't have the same issues, I'd drop the cash but...

I really wanted to like it. I got this app to tune my Kalimba. I’ve used it maybe two or three times. Sometimes it’s fine but others it just doesn’t change. I’ll play a C4 and it will tell me it’s a little flat so I’ll adjust them I play the note again and nothing happens. It’s almost like the app is frozen. I’ll play an E6 to make sure and sure enough there’s no change. I don’t know if the app keeps freezing or if it just doesn’t like my microphone but given that I use an iPad Pro I doubt it’s the mic

Best tuning app!. I use this to tune my cello every day and it works beautifully! Others in my class use it for violin, viola, and bass, so I can say with certainty it is great for string instruments. This app is very minimalist but still contains everything you need. It’s extremely easy to read and even someone with little musical knowledge could use this to tune. I definitely recommend it!

100%!!!!!!. I already rated this app once, but I just had to rate it again because of how amazing it is. It's literally the only tuning app for ukuleles that I've found that works smoothly and does what it says it will. I haven't had a single problem with it. One of my favorite apps because it's insanely simple and designed really nicely. Seriously!!!!!get this app!!!!!!!

Best Tuning App You Can Get. Simple and effective. Before the update, whenever I would tune up my hgh E string, it would always pick it up as A no matter what I did. thankfully this problem has recently been eliminated and I have had no further problems since the last update. 10/10

Makes no sense!. It will show only some notes. You do not know if it has heard what was done before. Wont even pretend to HEAR middle C or the first 5 above it. The next octave it records sometimes, so if you tune up a bit and it hasn’t registered the change… you tune up again. Making it have to adjust down when it finally does hear it. Totally worthless in my opinion. In fact I think it did a disservice to the device. It was better before I tried to use this.

It great on your phone but...There’s a little buggy on the iPad.. Due to the COVID-19 I’m at home. We were learning to tune our violin before school closed. I needed a tuning app so I asked my teacher online about it and she recommended this app. I decided to give it a go and download it. I downloaded it own my phone and it worked great. So I also downloaded it on my iPad Pro but there was a buggy. The bottom of the screen was black so you couldn’t see the chromatic tuner thingy. For people who I assume are still reading I suggest you to download this on your phone. I’m not sure if it works on other types of iPads but it doesn’t work on the iPad Pro. Until they fix this buggy download this on your phone or you can find some more apps. This is still a amazing app on your phone though. Stay safe during the COVID-19.😷🙃😷(I hope you guys get this buggy fixed soon!)

Helpful. This app is really helpful and I love how it tell me how I need to tune my Kalimba so I have no doubt that this app has been a huge help and thank you for whoever made this app I have started doing way better playing my instrument and again I love this app I can’t stop playing my music and it’s sounds way better than before so thank you!

Great tuner!. I've only experienced two great tuning apps: Tonal Energy and InsTuner. Only downfall of Tonal Energy is the fact you have to pay around 4 dollars for it. InsTuner is free and it even works as well as TE. I know that there is a paid version of this, but honestly you don't need it. The free version is pretty solid and I love how there are no annoying ads. Most free tuners found in the App Store are subpar in my opinion because their app produced aren't as well. Would give it 5 stars, but it's occasionally slow when it tries to pick up different pitches that are released quickly.

Amazing. Some of these people say they broke their string or instrument using this app, first of all strings are cheap and easy to replace. Second of all, you should be able to tell whether your instrument needs to be turned up or down, by the musical alphabet. One person said that it was at a D and it was telling them that their A string was in tune on a D. That is technically correct, you can tell whether to tune sharp or flat based on where you need to go. I have loved this app very much and I hope some people take my opinion into account.

insTuner ☺️. Love this app! Really fun for begging and advanced. If you do no how to use it is cuz you may not be properly educated on tuning so ask your band teacher! I wish there was some sheet music 🎵 on the app for fun! Maybe pro version has extra stuff to do? One thing I noticed is that this app hasn’t been updated in 3 years. Update plz!

5* for the tuning fork. Been looking forever for an app that produces a note like a tuning fork. Finally found one and it plays more than just A. Tuners have never been accurate enough for me and always tuned to something that produces the 440hz. Didn’t need the upgraded version but got it to support them.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!!!!!!!. I’m learning to play the uke and in order to do that I need to tune it. I tried at least 3 different apps before this and this one is the best!! It picks up sound really good and even shows you how the note should sound!! If you get this, one, I recommend the “chromatic tuning” two, make sure you select the note you’re trying to get. I think that’s all. Anyway, great app, definitely recommend it. P.S it’s free unless you get the premium version. Just in case you’re wondering.

A problem I would like to fix. Dear, I actually have a problem with the program. Whenever I press the settings gear, the program closes. Please help me. I am a music teacher and I need it a lot. I also recommend that my students buy it, so I do not deserve to be ignored. This is the second message without an answer from you.

Great app! + tip & suggestion. I love this app! It works very well and it is extremely helpful when tuning something. The only problem is that whenever I was trying to tune the higher notes on my kalimba, it kept thinking I was trying to tune a different note than what I wanted. It was especially difficult to tune the highest note on the kalimba and I ended up destroying my nails by plucking the same tine over and over again. Your nails are what you use to pluck the tines, so it’s a little bit harder to play. Here’s a tip that may be useful: taking the case off my phone helped. Another thing that sort of helped was playing the note I wanted by switching to the “tone generator” tab and playing the sound I wanted; I turn it off and play the note on my kalimba. It’s a hit or miss: sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I think it helps because it starts to look for that specific note. Lastly, my suggestion: it would be helpful if you could select a specific note that you are trying to play so it doesn’t get confused with other notes. It would save me a lot of time and it would save my nails :)

Note from the Cellist. As a new cello student, I have just begun learning how to tune my cello. Before hand, I payed the guitar, but it was consistently out of tune because I couldn’t find a responsive chromatic tuner. I told this to my cello teacher, who suggested this app, and it made tuning my string instruments significantly easier. It can tune all sorts of string instruments, from harp to ukelele, and it’s quick, responsive, and easy to use. I strongly suggest you buy this app, it will help you with your music career a lot more than you’d think.

A Great Tuning Tool. I like the freedom the this app provides. It simply allows me to identify the note I’m playing and simply tune up or down to the note I need. I don’t have to put in the type of tuning or go through redundant steps. It’s quite accurate from what I’ve experienced and enjoy the simply yet effective layout. It makes understanding notes and their relation to one another easy to understand.

Weird Glitch. Let me just start off my review with a thank. Thank you for making this app! A lot of people need it, and I think it was a wonderful idea to make an app like this! But I have one question that I will get to in a bit. Anyways, I play the viola. After 3rd grade ended, I had the choice to participate in a school orchestra! The instrument choices were the violin, viola, cello, and the bass. As you know, I chose the viola. Once I started playing, my teacher would tune it for me. But as I got more advanced, my teacher showed me a tuning app for any string instrument, and this is it! When the orchestra year of 4th grade ended, I had to give away my school iPad I used this tuner on away to the next 4th graders. And so, the next time I practiced, I downloaded this app! Mainly because my instrument was very out of tune. And then the strangest thing happened. My screen didn’t freeze, but when I started to play my instrument, nothing was happening. But when I clicked some buttons, it apparently wasn’t frozen. So I tried again, and still nothing happened. Plus, my bow wasn’t making any sound. But that has nothing to do with this. Anyways, I tried double clicking and swiping out of all my apps. I even restarted my iPad! My question is, how should I fix this? Should I just redownload the app? Can you please tell my what to do?

Awesome free tuner! The best even.. I’ve tried pretty much all the free tuners on the App Store already. This one is the best. For violin, guitar, even Kalimba. I am having trouble getting the app to recognize E6 in kalimba, but it’s a very high note that’s complicated by the resonance of the wood so it sounds lower if you listen to everything together. Oddly enough, the other kalimba I have has much less resonance issues at high keys. I’m honestly not sure if it’s a quality of the product issue, or if it’s because I’ve “seasoned” the other kalimba due to use over a year. I mean, older violins are better, maybe older kalimbas are too? Either way, the app works as expected and is free. That makes it the best!

A Great Tuner. Teacher told me to use this and it was actually really well for my violin it just really worked and now I can play the right notes like a and F sharp and C-sharp my only critique is that it was like telling you if you needed to not like upper down but it actually does that so never mind yes I have no critiques it's really well put together

Love that dial !. This app was recommended by Amy Nolte Music and I agree with her… The dial which points to each note is very, very helpful and very intuitive to use. You can tune your guitar with it but I have been using it more when I attempt to sing and reach each note accurately the first time… it can become quite a game and I have learned how tone deaf I really am.… Hopefully this little dial and gauge will make me a better singer....

Best tuning app!(Developer, please read!). As a harp student, this is a simple and effective way to tune my harp. Easy to use, minimalist vibe, and little to no ads are awesome! This is a great app, although it does have room for improvement. It is harder to pick up small sounds. If the developer could fix that, it would be awesome! Overall, this is a great app. Would recommend! Paid but get only the free version. I paid for the full version but am getting only the free version. When I try to reach out to developer there is no website, no contact. When I try to report a problem to Apple they say it's free so they can't help. Could someone please address this?

You Have To Be Patient. Whenever I Use the app I notice it takes a while for it to actually read the note and edit. I think it certainly helps and does give feedback of the tune but it could use some work. Sometimes I notice that my 16 year old daughter will use it and have trouble getting her instruments tuned because it takes quite some time for it to give feedback. I hope that you can get this issue fixed. It really is helpful. I’ll give it 4 stars though.

Finally. I needed a new tuner because my other one could not tried two other tuners, but it did not function well. My teacher recommended this one and she was right. I can do basic tuning with this app and I would recommend the paid version. Thank you so much.

AMAZING TUNER!!!. This tuner will never let you down. It's always on your counting fingers, but on my counting list, it's number one! I'd recommend this tuner for anything, guitars pianos, and even brass and wood winds. It's the ultimate tuner and even when it can't pick up because there's too many loud sounds, you have these lovely tone generators that are blasting loud, and I mean LOUD!!!

This app is meh. I tried to tune my kalimba I got for a present and this did not help. Me and my mom tried to tune it but the app did not help at all, it kept saying an A was a F or something like that. Occasionally it got the note right but if it did it said to tune it higher or lower every time. We tried pressing down on the keys on the left or right side and even taking the case off like a review had said. Also I don’t know about phones but on my iPad I can’t see the chromatic tuner thingy, like another review complained about. Overall it was no help at all, and my kalimba is not tuned well. Please make a fix to the app so you can type in what note you are trying to tune. Thanks.

Awesome!!!. I'm a beginner bassist and I love this app so much. I wanted to play the real song and not just the bass line for fun, but I couldn't find it on line. I used the tuner to sing the desired note and it would give me the letter. I would then find it on the chart my teacher gave me. I did this for the entire song! I am so happy I used this tuner to help me out! This app also tunes a bass perfectly! I would totally recommend this app to anyone that plays the bass!!🎸👍🏻

This app is sooo helpful, cool, and now I don’t have to bring my tiny tuner!!!. This app is sooo amazing for the people who use sting instruments. At first, the pictures looked like it didn’t do much help but when I first tried it, it told me exactly how to tune it. It is lit. I don’t even want my hand tuner anymore because of this amazing app. You can tune any string instrument with this app. Well I have to tune my instrument so...., BYE

Frustrating runaround. Trying to upgrade via spamming my friends' social media feeds but the app keeps telling me I have no accounts configured. Um, yes I do. Then it tells me to set up accounts in settings. Please elaborate. What settings? Where? Some secret settings the rest of us don’t know about? When I try to share via the info screen in the app, the app goes blank and crashes. Glad I didn’t pay for an upgrade. App looks nice though, it’s a shame about everything else.

Perfect tool. I have been using this app for years and it just occurred to me just how great of an app it is. First off it’s a very precise tuner and very easy to use for a variety of needs. It never bothers you with ads or pop ups, and the upgrade to premium is one time of 3.99. it’s a great tool that is essential to my guitar playing

Very responsive. I downloaded the pay for app based upon an online referral from a site about setting up DIY wind chimes. I've used other tuning apps and found this to be the most helpful. It is smart in distinguishing background noise (much of the work was done in my garage on a not so busy street) from tuning sounds and was able to still give consistent readings. I found the dial along with the frequency reading was very helpful. I still rate this 5 stars despite having some trouble distinguishing the higher pitches. Dead on consistency, graphics, useful info, and ease of use are my biggest factors for giving a 5. 😊

App crashing. Hi, this app was my favourite for a long time, recommended it to all my students. Recently the entire lower half of the app doesn't display. iPad Pro.

Ok but there was a problem. It was a great app and I used it every time I practised, but after a while the bottom part of the screen blanked out when I tried to use it. I had to delete it as although I could just use the top part, it would have been a lot more useful with my whole screen

Great uses. This app has very accurate tuning and is suitable for almost every instrument but i think only if they could upgrade it so we can also use viola on it.

Great tuner. This tuner (pro version) has three very useful modes that allow you to tune accurately in different circumstances. Although it tunes to 0.1 of a cent you also have a mode that allows quick, less exact tuning. Additionally, you can choose presets to optimise for different instruments. It would be great if you could save your own presets to quickly change several settings at once. I'd prefer it if the ad content wasn't in the app itself - perhaps a link to a site? The interface is attractive, quick and very easy to use. It has become the tuner I use most.

Good. The app is great but it costs a lot for the pro version that is actually very slow and the bottom of the screen turns black when i am tuning

Great app for a music novice.. I found this app very useful as I am having fun learning to play the kalimba. It helps me to keep my instrument in tune and learn what each note sounds like.

Life Saver. This app has saved me many times. From tuning a ukulele to a violin. It’s a good app but you shouldn’t just rely 100% on it. Sometimes it tunes EVERYTHING which may accidentally tune your instrument to high or low.

No longer working. Used to be my favourite app. I used it and recommended it to others. Now when I hit the setting buttons it crashes. Therefore, I can no longer change my frequency from 440 to 441 depending on the group I’m playing with. I wrote to them via the contact button in the app and received an automated reply saying they were on it. Since the, nothing. No answer, no fix. Sadly the app is now unusable for me. I had the pro version. They no longer appear to be supporting it so i will no longer be supporting them.

My violin says thanks!. Can't thank you enough, a revolution in tuning! (If that exists) Whenever I played a song I doubted that I was playing on the right string! I love this app because my old tuner app would just play out each string and I had to work out if mine sounded the same or not!🎻🎼

Great iPad version buggy. This app is pretty good but I find the iPad version is buggy with a black screen coming up 90% of the time where the dial should be. It would get 5 stars other wise. It is really good though I use it to check I’m singing in tune.

Great to tune violin. I use this to tune my violin. It makes the process so simple. I can learn where to position my fingers along the fingerboard by checking whether the note is in tune, as well.

A good handy app. I was using it to tune a set of small pipes and it served pretty well. Would be better if the variation was in ‘cents’, current witness marks don’t support that.

Great app just needs a little more improvement. It tunes everything until it gets to C#6 and it does not register. If you could find a way to tune a single key that would be great. Other than that it’s a pretty good app.

No longer displays properly.. I used this app and was very happy with it, 5 star, but now the bottom half display is just black and I’m not experienced enough to know how to tune without the display. Tried deleting and re-installing with no success. I would love to go back to using it if it can be fixed. Thanks.

Meh. I have to pluck a note a lot to get it to hear it and it takes a long time in between notes. I am doing it slow enough. Frustrating for a new musician.

Wrong notes. When I tired my flute with this tuner I noticed that the notes from the app sounded different. So, I compared them to a digital professional playing and it sound way off! Please say if it only works for certain instruments because I’ve now wasted my time

Bug. It works fine, but on iPad, you can’t see the bottom part where the dial is. To see it, you have to flip the iPad over. I didn’t know the trick for over three months & got a new tuner.

Good but doesn’t really work with the IPad as the screen doesn’t rotate. The big iPad 12.9 can’t be set up vertically and the fact that the app doesn’t rotate forces me to read it sideways. It’s useable but annoying.

Incredible concept and an Incredible app. I never review apps but this was amazing. I play the Morin Khuur, a traditional Mongolian instrument. There is only one tuner on the App Store for it and it doesn’t even work. This is ingenious. You can basically tune every single instrument with perfect accuracy. I recommend it.

Versatile. Needed a tuner that works with all notes and instruments. I have requinto (small classical Mexican) that tunes up a fourth higher than a standard guitar. Guitar tuners don't recognize C. Also have a trumpet and flugelhorn. Works great without any input required. And it's my favorite price. Free!

Great tuner!. Six different ways of measuring your tuning. As a fretless bass player it is wonderful having a strobe tuner plus a needle tuner for practicing intonation. It also works within the ProMetronome app, so I can do my practicing without running different machines or multiple apps.

Pretty good. The app is very simple and the free version basically covers all my needs. However, the notice that appears whenever I select a note on the third octave or lower appears every time I reopen the app and is very annoying.

Good but not great. This app is helpful, but only when it hears the correct sound. Sometimes it tells me to tune up, the up again, then up again, and then it wants me to go back to where I started. All in all it could use some fixing but it is helpful when it hears the right sound

Absolutely phenomenal! Very pleased with my upgrade purchase!. I effectively tuned my entire Taco Bell order, including a Crunch Wrap Supreme (no tomato and extra sour cream), an exquisite Chicken Quesadilla, a large Pink Lemonade (absolutely not one speck of ice) and an order of Nachos with the most divine cheddar cheese melt. Pretty Good. If I could give a 4.8, I would.. This tuner works. It’s practical, free and has a tone generator, which helps me during choir. In band, whenever we’re tuning, it sometimes picks up someone else’s pitch and it takes a really prolonged time of playing a note for it to truly recognize it. The app’s aesthetics are a tad subpar, but that’s just because I’m weird and I pay attention to stuff like that. Added Bonus: It tells you what octave your note is in which has come in, oddly enough, useful. Overall it’s pretty good, but could be a tad better.

Best tuning app there, no nonsense. Very sleek and accurate. No nonsense. It's exactly what it says it is. A tuner. And what makes it great is you can tune to any key without having to pay. I loved guitar tuna but it only allowed standard tuning and it was over priced. This is free and as good as it gets!

LOVE IT and works PERFECTLY. I am a violin student and I used this as my 4th tuning app all of the other apps were garbage but this one was by far THE BEST and I just adore this app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thing. I got this earlier this year because I need to be able to tune the timpani correctly in my band class, this thing said that the the timpani was one of its specialties but when i tried to use it, it went all over the place and wouldn’t give me an exact reading. I don’t know about the guitar tuning parts of this but from my experience, not really worth it.

Hard to use. Im trying really hard to get my kilmba tuned but no luck with this app that my kilmba said to use. Would not recommend becuse first, of all I don’t under stand how to use it there are no instructions at all maybe I just missed them but it is vary confusing to use. Second, what is the point of the app if there are no directons im not vary happy with this “kilmba tuner“ so looking for new app. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Please include instuction next time

Wow!. So grateful for this app! For the first time in 15 years, I have a way to tell if I'm in tune while I practice my music. Using this app while tuning and practicing has greatly improved my performance in the last month since downloading. And, it's free!!! So grateful!!

Everything you will need... Free. This app is really great because, well, it's free. It gives you a chromatic tuner, so whatever instrument you play or whatever song you are singing, you can know wether or not you are in tune the whole time. It's great.

It’s so useful!. Most other tuning apps only give you the tone, and if they also show you if you need to tune up or down, they are for money. This app is very useful to help me become accustomed to tuning

Frequency loss. Now that I am older, im losing hearing frequencies and harder to tune my violin. This app helps me a lot and I’m not embarrassed when the orchestra tunes. I tune a head of time so there are only minor adjustments by the time the oboe give the A (now, if it could only play the music for me. Lol)

A must for vocals and ukelele. Invaluable tool! Has helped me greatly in tuning my new ukelele. (I just started playing.) Great App, But Long Abandoned. The tuner is right on. Aside from tuning instruments with it, it pretty accurately works for vocals as well. I’d pay for the Pro version, but the developers quit on this app over four years ago. Shame, because they could have made it great.

Great Violin tuner. I like how this App makes suggestions as to whether to tune the violin strings up or down along with seeing how close I am to the correct notes. This InsTuner app also shows which note the violin string is currently at. Easiest tuner that I have used thus far....and accurate too!

This is great, but there is one problem I have.. It’s great, but sometimes I will pluck the key I want to tune, and it doesn’t pick up the sound even though the mic is on, and I’m in a quiet room loudly plucking the key. Idk if it’s a glitch or if it’s broken, but it’s kinda frustrating.

A little buggy. Iv used this app for years and its amazing, but for the last few weeks iv had this bug where the whole chromatic meter thing is a black screen and i can only see the not im playing at the top of the screen. I might be doing something wrong but iv tried everything and it hasnt happened until recently. I really hope you guys can fix this because otherwise its an amazing app

I'm doing what I'm told. I use this app on most days to tune my ukulele. The app apparently updated and needs people to give it a 5 star rating, so I'm helping out. If you're using this to tune instruments, the app works just fine.

Eh. I’ve been using this app ever since I got my guitar but lately it’s been weird. For E standard tuning it will not recognize the low E. It would either see it as F# or C/C# and skip over E, Eb, and D. The smallest little turn on the knob won’t matter because it just keeps switching from the two. It’s fine on all the other strings but it won’t do anything for low E.

Wonderfull use!. I play the violin and this tuning app helps me so much so that I don’t need my own teacher to help me with tuning. It’s so much easier to have this app definitely recommend it!

No drone on iPad. This app is great... However, for the past few months on my iPad the drone is no longer there. I always used it for scales to tune to. But now I can’t. My phone has the drone, but it’s not loud enough to hear. I would like to know why the drone isn’t there for iPads anymore.

It’s actually pretty good.. I’m a beginner at the kalimba and I wanted to tune my kalimba since it sounded off. Thanks to this app I was able to efficiently tune my kalimba.(but I accidentally cut myself while trying to tune the kalimba- ouchies) Now I can play pieces without any weird keys messing me up.

Works great. This app is easy to use for multiple instruments and it works great. I play guitar and piano and it works well on both. I was looking for a tuner that would test my accuracy in bending notes on a harmonica and this app fit the bill.

Not working on iPad Pro. I have used this app on my iPhone for several years, and it’s worked great. I recently purchased an iPad Pro and was hoping to use the app on it as well, but as someone mentioned in another review, the bottom of the screen is black, and I only get the letter, and tune up or down. Very disappointing. I hope this gets resolved soon.

Terrific Tuner. I’ve used several different tuning apps in the past and this one is my favorite. It’s just smoother and easier than the others I’ve tried.

B in 441 inaccurate. The B in 441 is not right- not sure if it was always like this and if there are more notes that are not accurate. If you use the tone generator and match it exactly to the tuner, it will read it as flat. Might be some bug because after using it for a few years, I think I only experienced this problem now

Strung along strumming!. I'm extremely new to instruments. I am so green. Yet, I made my very first instrument, an Appalachian dulcimer. I have used this app to tune my old guitar I purchased, while in the navy, in Italy. I never played it. Today, I am driven to learn the dulcimer! This app will keep me tuned in.

Still buggy on iPad. I’ve had this app for a while on both my phone and iPad and it worked amazingly. It’s simple but gets the job done well. It worked fine for a while on both devices, but now there’s a black screen on the iPad version. The iPhone app works fine, though. I know a couple other people mentioned this in their reviews, otherwise the app is great.

Mixed. I’ve used this app for several years and loved it. But lately it keeps freezing up on me. I have to wait several minutes before it unfreezes and starts listening again only to have it freeze again. It has become unusable. I’ve rebooted my phone thinking that was the problem. Deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still keeps freezing. Looking for a new one now.

It’s nice, but needs a fix. So, the app is great and I’m trying to tune my kalimba. But, on the iPad Pro, where the tuning screen should be is all black. I can only see the top where it says how my notes are. Could you please fix this bug? I saw someone else mention this, so I’m not alone.

THIS IS GREAT!! Easy to use.. Couldn't believe how easy this app is to use! Not a music person but have been making Native American flutes and didn't know key they were playing when I got finished with them. Now I can tune them!
