Losers!😉. Pacer is great IF... You want or need to lose weight, track your steps and workouts as you go, get a personal coach to help you and connect to other health apps. However, if you need to gain weight, or try to set your goal to that, their “Coach” will tell you that Pacer is a walking, weight-loss program, and they can’t help you... then NEVER say another word to you!! I decided to stay, for the tracking and the community, but the coach doesn’t coach, several key features are “premium members only”, such as Calories Burned/Day. Even my own Activity and History Log is blocked from view. I loved the idea of personalized coaching, and would happily be Premium, if I could use ALL the features. The community is AWESOME; friendly and supportive and there are weekly and monthly Challenges to keep you motivated. Pacer also lets you set personal daily goals, and post your progress, frustrations and successes. Overall, a really good Fitness/ Walking App, to get fit and track workouts, or lose weight, but not especially helpful for those who are trying to gain weight.

The Pacer app works well. I like the Pacer app and use it almost every day to track my steps. It adds the very useful thing of approximating my calories burned, and the color scheme is cheerful. Does it always get the number of steps I have walked? No, but neither does the iPhone X. The flaw is either the GPS or AT&T’s coverage, which should be better for the metropolitan area I live in. Or it could be that these apps are not designed to track the steps that shorter people take. Googled ‘what app is best for short people to use to track steps’ and Google didn’t quite understand the question or there really aren’t apps that try to get this right. Yes, I know that Pacer does track ‘average gait.’ But I can tell you that I have done numerical counts a ridiculous number of times and these apps undercount my steps every time. And not by an insignificant margin. This said, does it beat counting in my head? Absolutely - worlds better.

An app of great precision but with undeveloped potential.. This app gives you an accurate calorie burn by putting the “intensity of steps”, age, height, weight and even perhaps, the temperature of the environment(at least I noticed the difference) into consideration/calculation. Despite, the app put these factors into good use of calculating the total calorie burn, I still believe this app have some space to improve to be universal; No. 1, if the app already asked for your height, age and weight for calculating a precise rate of calorie burn by walking or running, why cant they use the information they just gathered from you to give you a basal metabolism rate too?(calorie burn a day without doing nothing)Therefore, by adding the basal metabolism rate to your calorie burn through pacing or running can give you a “real” total calorie burn per day.(Which is practical for you to monitoring your weight loss)No.2, I know this might sound silly, but, if its possible, by adding food’s calorie information to this app will also be great to monitor the weight loss.( all you have to do is minus the “total calorie burn” to food’s calorie count) No.3, Just kidding, there is no No. 3 advise to add. Anyway, if pacer can achieved these 2 improvement, pacer will most likely be more effective and popular!!

Easy, Simple, Just What I Need. It took me a minute to get used to the interface, how it’s laid out, and where to find things. But once I got the hang of it, I have been thoroughly enjoying inputting the data, going back and checking my progress, and being challenged to walk more. It is very well laid out and has a lot to it! And the app can be used as extensively or as simply as desired, which I think is super helpful. I use it for tracking my steps and for charting my weight to see the progress. Even with only using those two features (weight tracker and step tracker), this one was definitely worth the purchase (allowing me to do what I want to do without having to navigate any adds or clunky other interfaces). Absolutely worth the investment. Thanks, Pacer team!

Informative and accurate. Installed the pacer app on my new iPhone12, because the native Health app did not provide accurate information about my daily 2 power walks, on the distances and number of steps, when compared with my husband”s data on his new iPhone12 and my old iPhone. This app also shows the map of the course, and using the gps mode it matches exactly the data from both apps on my husband’s iPhone and on my old one. I just started to explore this app, but I am already a convert and will use it a lot in gps mode, too. I have been using Pacer almost each day for about a year and a half, still like it a lot. I also use it when sea kayaking, to record the route and get an estimate on distances. This app does not offer a choice for kayak, instead, I selected riding (by bike) so I am not sure how accurate the distances are by sea kayaking, but seems to be very close.

Value for Money. I don’t normally do reviews but this app deserves a review, in order to encourage the developers to keep it up. This is the first app I have absolutely no regrets about subscribing for the premium. It is a fitness buddy, it encourages me to just keep on moving, while pointing out that every little step counts, even while in your house. I gladly allow my wife to send me around the house to get things because it counts to my steps goal for the day. Join several groups and watch how well you do alongside others, this feature encourages me to walk more because I always want to stay in the top 5. It’s really very interesting, and the 4weeks workout plan I signed up for has been really encouraging, the videos are easy to follow and clear, this is my 7th day and I haven’t missed a day. I love this app and it deserves 5stars. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to stay fit without disrupting their normal life.

Pacer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My sister, who is a 1st Grade Teacher In Los Angeles County, recommended the app. Teaching virtually this spring she had flexibility during the day to walk. My Sports & Wellness gym closed in March. Looking for a place to incorporate some sort of exercise apart from busy public parks, I began walking the perimeter of two cemeteries, one of which my parents are buried. I had no idea how far I was walking. My sister suggested Pacer. Now I know! One hour to one hour and fifteen minutes equals three miles. The cemetery walking began in April. I have been walking religiously ☺️ three miles at least three times a week since. After my walk, I lay a blanket at my parents marker and stretch. I look forward to looking at my Pacer total when I lay the blanket down and report it proudly to my parents. 🙏

Pacer. Pacer is a basic app but is great. I personally believe you're charging too much for these apps. Only the rich who don't really need it can afford it. This one is the most reasonably priced, yet still too much. If you lowered the price to $25/year to unlock all features and kept it there without trying to increase the price, I believe you would have more sales. I believe your free users would sign up. I believe that you should keep the basic features free. I believe you should open the extra to donations. I believe the rich and able would oblige, e.g. $50, $75, $100 donations. This would be a worthy cause, to help those who can't afford it, have affordable health motivation. This is a great app. I would definitely sign up. There should be some type of reward for your highest donors if goal is met, like a recognition news letter, free fitness clothes, water bottle, watch for fitness tracking, or an opportunity to travel to meet the owners of app.

Pacer keeps track of how far I walk & I also walk our 3 small dogs that keep me going!. Keeps good track of how far I’ve gone then shows the days before exact distance.. Sunday Jan 21st 2024, was one of the first days it wasn’t in the single digits & I’m hoping it’ll be warmer this coming week. When it was below zero I couldn’t take my dogs out walking & that’s what gets me up & going. Without them I’d probably not walk as much as person my age does. Altho I’ll be 71 in a few days.. meh 😑.. but I think age is only how you make it & how you feel. I notice that there’s some things I can’t do like I did a few yrs ago, but still can lift 50 lbs if I’ve gotta? Anyway, writing about this bc it’s been so cold for the last couple wks, that I wasn’t able to go out much! Living in Montana you have to deal with long dark & cold winters! So I wouldn’t advise anyone who lives in a warm region to move here unless you like to ski, 🏂 🛷 or ⛸️ Otherwise can be certainly DEPRESSING!! So many ppl who live near the Arctic take their lives & this isn’t anything I’d want anything to do!!! Just saying incase you’re planning on moving to our state? I know the last couple sentences don’t apply to fit bit, but I thought I’d share my experience from living here all my life..

Easy to use; great motivator!. Love this app! Can use it for just walking around the house to track steps per day and calories burned, or set it up for a workout with gps so I can see an accurate distance/time/speed walked. (It doesn’t eat up my data for this either!) It’s amazing to look at total distance walked since I first started using the app til now (Dec. 2016-Feb. 2018) and see that I’ve racked up over 1,450 MILES (and well over 3.2 MILLION steps! :) When I first got the app, I had a very old phone that I couldn’t update, and Pacer was the ONLY pedometer app I could find that would work on it. I would, very rarely, have it crash and lose that day’s data- very frustrating, but otherwise loved it, and grateful I had it. Since updating to a new phone (and version of the Pacer app), I haven’t experienced ANY crashing! Thank you, Pacer, for creating a wonderful, stable app! It’s been a big part of my weight loss and fitness efforts, and I will gladly credit you for motivation in helping me lose about 30 lbs.! (Just 10 lbs. left to go!) ;)

Great App, One Flaw. I find this app very easy to use and informational for many reasons. Just create an account and provide a little bit of info like your weight and height, then start using the app. What I love about this over the default Apple Health app on my iPhone 6 Plus is that you can record your nutritional data which is very nice because I can just scan a barcode and it automatically inputs the food item. If a friend of mine asked me “What’s a good fitness tracking app I can download?” I would definitely recommend this app. The thing I find most helpful with this app is the ability for recording your walk or run via GPS and mapping the route. The only flaw I feel this has is that you have to pay for a couple of things with a premium subscription.

I use it all the time and it inspires me to workout walking.. I use it everyday however my step count is not very accurate. Nevertheless I like it. I am using it daily. Helps me keeping fit. I’m using it daily and I love it. I am very impressed with this app This is definitely a great tool for exercise. Excellent app to keep fit. I am very appreciative and glad. This works! The best way to keep fit! I’m excited more than ever. The app is GREAT! Important tool for loosing weight. Great app for fitness Outstanding app for fitness A great way to keep fit. A second to none app for fitness! Works wonderfully every day. The app is outstanding! I’m loosing weight with this app. Definitely the best. I like the app The only app I use. Excellent program. This is definitely a great tool for exercise. I like the app a lot. Fitness greatest app. using it daily and I love it. The app helps me keep fit. I use it daily. Excellent gadget. Thanks A great way to keep fit. A second to none app for fitness!

100% Upside. If you are a walker/jogger/runner, This app is the one to get. For what amounts to less than $5/month you get access to all the health stats your Fitbit or Apple Health(watch and phone) has stored even prior to downloading the app. That in and of itself is enough. But then there is the pacer community. It literally stretches every mile of the globe and I have found supporters all over. These friends that I have never met provide constant support and encouragement to hit my daily and monthly goals. Best part is I can choose to engage with them actively or I can just monitor my stats and keep it moving. This is not a dating app and people will ignore you quickly if you try that. Anyways, I love this app. I have lost 32 pounds in the last year and I didn’t do any funky diets or stressful exercise plan. I have simply endeavored to put one foot in front of the other, every single day, with no looking back.

Encouraging Tracking. It’s a great tool for brisk walking. Wish I could have phone close by to record my entire daily steps. I have used this App since January 1, 2021. I did the extra charge for a yearly App to do Virtual trails. I began with Mt. Blanc in France where my tiny feet stood in ski boots at beginning of my trail! Most of the places I first chose, I had actually visited, along with my husband. Now I’ve tried many virtual trails I wouldn’t have been able to access due to the Pandemic. Thank you for saving me from boredom! I’ve learned so much from these trails. I feel that a yearly renewal fee should be discounted to those that renewed in the past. Perhaps a one time fee to become a perpetual member would be something to consider. See the World and Improve your Health!

Get moving. Since I have MS and a spinal cord injury, this helps to motivate me to get moving more. It helps to understand my pain levels with activity. I used to be extremely active but since my diagnosis/injury, most days are spent sedentary. It’s interesting looking at all of my stats and that’s what makes me want to do more. If your physically challenged I recommend this app for motivation and education on your movement and pain levels. It’s helped my doctors understand my movement issues too. I might not be a marathoner but most days I feel like I’m one now that I can compare my days movements. If I can reach 2000 steps 2-3 times a week my doctors are happier. Great tool to help with my health and well-being. My best days we’re close to 9000 steps a day! Not great for most but it’s like climbing a mountain for me!

Awesome!!!. I love this app. It allows you to log outside activity of pretty much any kind. Only thing I wish it would add was a “chores” option for housework but I can see why they can’t do that, it’s too broad and unpredictable. However it has everything I personally need to work out right now!! I’m pretty out of shape, 80lbs above the highest healthy weight for someone my height. I’m starting out with the novice stretches, and I’m doing the yoga sequences in the calm app. The calm app is great too and it does log my exercise, but I like logging it into pacer because then it’s all in one spot. Love having the pedometer. The work out videos are really good. I love it!! I was ready to pay for the subscription after my first three days of using it and after a month, I can’t say I regret it!! I’m going to buy the yearly subscription next. This is an essential app for me, I wouldn’t be where I am in my workout journey without it!! I’ve done yoga over half the days in this month. I went from never working out, to nearly working out every single day!!! Thanks pacer!!! I can’t wait to start exploring their higher level exercises (and I LOVE that they categorize them so you know what you’re getting into). They give helpful and thoroughly suggestions on how to meet your goals... basically... it’s perfect!!!

Very Pleased!. I take Pacer on our two day a week hikes and we take a lot of photos of wildflowers, mushrooms, fungi, lichen, wildlife and scenery.? So we don’t really follow the hiking trail laid out by the Florida State Forest. But Pacer keeps our correct mileage as opposed to the mileage set by the State Forest. I always take a picture of our finished mileage for our hiking scrapbooks. The only thing that Pacer can’t do, is realize that I am 69 years old, getting close to70, who has had 5 spinal surgeries and a total knee replacement, so I can’t walk the goal set for me every day. I wish there was a way the Coach could figure that in. Otherwise, I am super pleased with Pacer. What I didn’t mention is how pleased that I am that Pacer works even when I don’t have any phone service in the State Forest. It still keeps track of my mileage. How it does it, I don’t know but I am awfully pleased that it does

Keep the Pace!. I started by making two very small walks a day after my blood pressure went up to 210 and my doctor asked me to loose weight. At that time 199 Lbs. (Female 5 ft 4 in). Always tired and with back pains. After about 3 week and taking care of my type 2 diabetes diet, I had lost 15 Lbs. I increased my walks to 0.5 a mile in the morning, and the same n the afternoon. My daughter (who runs daily) suggested that I download the “Pacer Up” - this was two years ago. I consistently and continually increased the mileage ( now 3 miles in the morning and 2 in the afternoon). My blood pressure (w/some medication) is back to normal levels, so is my diabetes, weight (considering my age) - I have lost and maintain 50 Lbs. The Pace keeps track that keep the pace. Thank you.

It is quite good. But it does odd things from time to time like the session mode doesn't work as expected all the time but does mostly. The stairs climbed has a large delay before it figures you climbed some stairs. It would be nice if the history went back more than a week. But hey... It's free and the folks put a lot of work into it. Try it out. Update: I swapped phones back to an iPhone 5 and on that it sucked until I switched on location which it did not need on the iPhone 6. Works sort of ok now but the miles walked bears no relation to reality. Not sure why it needs location on as sleep cycle works fine without that although does leave a bar up top, guess that's why. Still a great app. Update 2: doesn't need location On and is still a great app.

Pacer. Great app! Use it every day. Very pleased with the results and the tracking records it keeps. Would suggest that the Backup and Recovery processes be updated to allow multiple copies. That is, when a new Backup is made, if there is an earlier copy, create a new Backup with the name appended with the date and have it copied to an available iCloud or personal cloud drive. And during Recovery, allow the selection of which Backup record you’d like used for the Recovery from either the local phone data, iCloud or personal cloud drive! Why? Because I just lost 9 months of data because my phone was destroyed. I got the phone recovered late at night a few days ago from an old phone backup made in January (so all data between Jan and Sep was gone) and when I selected Recovery, the only file available was done during the night (after my phone Recovery, but before Recovery of the Pacer data). Therefore, the only Recovery file available was the one written during the night that overwrote the earlier one, and the new file was missing the Jan-Sep data. My fault ... true. But allowing penultimate backup copies would have allowed me to get all that data back regardless. Super happy otherwise!!!

Pacer (free use app). The free app which I used before Pacer was problematic and frequently halted tracking the walk before the end of the walk. I use Pacer once or twice a day to record the walks I take with my dog. I begin the walk and I put my iPhone in my pocket and because of the reliability of the program, I forget about the tracking. It is ever so satisfying to reach for the phone at the end of the walk, stop the walk and save it. And to view the data of pace and timed duration, as well as the picture created by the path of the walk on the map - sometimes I like to “share” via text or on FB and Pacer let’s me do that easy-peasy. I wish I could warn the reader of this review away from the other “free app” I used before Pacer, but it’s been so long since I made the switch, I can’t remember the name. And with Pacer (in its current free version on my phone), I don’t need another program to track my walks.

“Take care of yourself”. I love being able to see my progress and setting personal goals for myself, but most of all living a healthy life in the times we all are living in, what could more important than staying healthy. I feel better overall and have noticed that I’m sleeping better at night and have more energy during the daytime I am one week into my high protein low carbs diet with walking and taking rides on my bicycle. I have lost 3lbs 12ounces in my first week and look forward to tomorrow. I am 61 years old with high blood pressure over the course of my diet and exercise I have also noticed a drop in my blood pressure. I am very excited and look forward to seeing my results at my first 30 days.

It works. Is reliable.. This app has done exactly what I need from it. It gives me accurate steps, keeps a record of past steps, and it motivates me to stay regular by labelling my daily goal and labelling lower “goal levels” (as inactive, lightly active, moderately active, highly active. Labels not exact, I think). I had a major brand smart watch before. Actually two of same model. The first one stopped functioning. Out of warranty. I bought another. In warranty, so I worked with their customer service. About five calls over two months. Really sweet service reps. They tried hard. But NOT well trained. Never exceeded the warranty period but I gave up. Should have pressed for a new replacement, but I wore out. Loved it when it worked. Which it seldom did. So love this app. It works!

❤️❤️❤️. I love this app. It allows you to set goals at an achievable pace and gives an accurate account of what you are eating and burning off. I was unaware of how low my iron intake was until I started this app. I began taking a supplement and I have so much more energy now. I would recommend getting this app. along with a pedometer app. if you are just starting out with trying to get healthier. You can add your exercise into the plan and account for the calories burned during workouts which is such an incentive to me. I was not over weight to begin with, I just wanted to feel healthier and more energized. I can say without a doubt that I have achieved both goals. I only have the free version and that has been enough for me. I know there is a lot more this app. has to offer with a subscription, but the free version is so great that I think everyone should try it. You can even scan items right at the store!! This app. is so great I can’t say enough. 🤐

Mediocre at best. The app works reasonably well as a community fitness app. The main issue is it only counts stops you take with your phone. I was trying to figure out how so sync with an activity tracker, since I don’t carry my phone for at least half of my daily activity. I found that pacer doesn’t think fitness trackers are reliable - therefore you can’t use the steps from them with the app. The statement from pacer said something along the lines of “everyone always has their phone in their pocket all day anyway.” As a woman, most of my clothing does not have pockets. My professional/work clothes don’t have pockets and my casual/yoga pants don’t have pockets. So I have to carry my phone in my hand, which I don’t do most of the day when I’m waking around taking care of things. My Fitbit will regularly read double the steps in the pacer app. Even if the Fitbit is less reliable for actual step tracking, it has to be closer to a reliable count since my phone isn’t with me for half of my steps. The way it is currently designed, this app is kind of useless to me.

Great motivation when I need it. I love to walk. But sometimes, my motivation waivers. The Pacer challenges have been helping me dig into motivation as tools to help me have a goal. I’ve spent a decade actually walking around London, Paris and Rome, as I lead tours there in real life. Since the pandemic, I’m not leading tours, but taking these challenges helps me feel like I’m still involved with several of my favorite places. As a Tour Manager, I can truly appreciate the check-in locations Pacer chooses, and they have accurate and interesting information about each check-in point, where I even do the 360 degree look around to feel like I’m back in my favorite cities. And the medals I purchase don’t hurt either. I got medals when I completed actual marathons, but these are just FUN! And that is a great motivator!

Pacer App is Great for stepping!. ~There needs to be improvement on privacy and who follows you etc, there are to many anonymous people with fake names and fake profiles and no real pic, I would like to choose who can follow my post and who can not! Also, you should be able to delete your own account yourself if you ever need to for any reason like all the other apps allow you to do. We should not have to email pacer and beg for assistance in removal of our own account. I also think also people should only be allowed in only one group to be listed on their page, to many people jump in And out of groups all month long and mess up teams. And also they never remove their self when they join a new team, which again messed up things when the weekly stats come in. I also think there needs to be a daily step count limit shut off, for example people getting 70k plus daily ARE RIDING BIKES and cheating and it discourages the real people walking daily. That is humanly impossible! That is frustrating for the real walkers. I see this conversation a lot! Over all it is a good app but it needs some adjustments to keep making it better!!!! I hope you all read my suggestions thank you for your time! ~:)

Great app....When it works.. I’ve compared to apple watches for the total amount of steps per day. A friend had 10,000+ steps for the day with an Apple Watch and I only had a little over 3,000. We had been together ALL day and should have been within 25 steps of one another (that’s on the very high end). However, I just noted that if I had 3,000 steps according to Pacer, I had been pretty active that day. Plus, the live tracking for walking was great.....until it wasn’t. I walked over 2 miles 3 days in a row and each day my totals were 0.0 miles miles. I was walking the exact same route I have been walking for over two weeks! After walking two miles in 28 minutes and having the app say I walked NO where and burned 1 calorie, that is unacceptable. I emailed the help center and they told me I should look in my settings to make sure I had the location services turned on. Really? No kidding.... This isn’t the first time this has happened. Before, I simply deleted the app and downloaded again after a few hours. Though it worked last time, it isn’t now. You shouldn’t have to do that anyway. Deleting the app for good this time.

Great app—better than before. Whatever bug there was before has long been fixed. This app is fantastic, so disregard the negatives from my previous review and only pay attention to the positives! OLD REVIEW: I love this app! When I first started using it I would set my goal to at least 10,000 steps a day and could keep track of how many steps I was getting in when I would walk my dog, go to the gym, and walk around at work. It was great! I was so proud of myself when I would get to 10,000, 15,000 and then a record of 18,000 steps. So then I tried to beat my record and just the other day got up to over 21,000 steps. The only problem is that the next day when I was looking at my monthly average I saw that my 21,000-step day shot down to zero! What?! I thought maybe my phone just needed to be restarted so I tried that, opened up the app again and yep--sure enough, it still said zero steps for that day. Same thing happened the next day; my 10,000 steps turned to zero when I referred back to it. So I thought I was done with this app but then just today my steps reappeared! So I guess my only complaint is that the steps sometimes disappear for a few days and then magically appear again. It would be really nice if they could work that out--then it would be a five-star app all the way.

Love this app!. I really love this app. I love the idea of a competitive and supportive community being their for you to at least walk 10,000 steps a day regardless of where and how you put those steps in. My only wish for this app is for more 20-30 year olds who are my to join the app. I sometimes feel out of place with the people on this app who are 50-80 years old and I also contemplate to put my distance and location mostly because I get 50-80 year old messaging me and it really isn’t about congratulating me on my accomplishments for the day. But other than that I would recommend this app for any of my friends looking to keep track of how active they are everyday and also if they want to be competitive with others around their area or across the globe.

Needs more accuracy. Update: It tells you 10,000 steps is your goal and ignorantly I followed when I should have looked it up in miles. Big mistake - I pushed myself to 7,000 steps one day and have lot of pain and swelling in left leg that has not gone away. It’s like a knot of veins that have formed. Painful to sleep. Must see doc. Basically - start slow. Don’t push it unless you’re super healthy. I’m 49, not obese but could lose 20 pounds. I should have not pushed to achieve 10K Syria - app should say what that translates to. Old review: I have been using it couple weeks now. My friend and I compete. So it’s been fun to track each other. However I just did a 2 mile Leslie Sansone video and it says I only did 1.3 miles. So who should I believe? -Also, it’s missing several of my workout days from activity history? Not cool man, I worked hard on those days. -Are the steps based on the height? I’m only 5’1, have to take more steps to reach certain goals so hopefully the standard step chart I’m using via internet is adjusted for this app measurement. Do you guys have your own chart based on people’s heights?

Useless.. This app had worked fine when I had an iPhone 5c, but when I upgraded to an iPhone 8 Plus, it does not live up to its expectations. Every time I open up the app, it sits there like it is loading but it is not, which in return causes me to close out of the app completely and start over. I have not been able to make it pass the Pacer screen, whenever I go to press returning user and hit the ‘continue with Facebook’ option it does the same thing again causing me to restart the app again. However, when I restart the app, it does not do a single thing to fix it. I am honestly very disappointed by how long I was using this app on my other phone with no problem verses using my newer version. If an IOS 11 is not capable of working with this version of Pacer then you should really put that in your capabilities section of your app. Otherwise, you will get bad reviews on this type of thing, fix this and I will give you five stars, if you do not then I will have no other choice but to delete this app on my phone and look elsewhere for another app that can meet my expectations.

It’s great😀. I find it has way more tracking ability then most free apps on here, it’s decent even with only having the free version, which includes. Insight on your daily steps, it will tell you your high and low days, so you know if you making your daily challenge(which you can alter based on your activity level). When you create your account try to make sure you put your exact weight or something close to it, so when you input a new weight it can give you the total amount lost(it tell you how much you’ve lost in the time span of, 7 days, 30 days and 6 months, at least I think) overall it’s a great app. And I’m planning on getting the full version soon. Because it has a lot of different features. But if your main goal is to just count steps I would recommend just using the free version.

Pacer pedometer. I like Pacer a lot better than the pedometer that came standard on my iPhone. My iPhone only updates irregularly, that is I can walk for 25 minutes and the number of steps won’t change. Later it will jump to a new value, but only when it feels like it. Pacer updates as you walk. The only negative is that it doesn’t take into account the length of a person’s stride. So my wife and I walk for three miles together, but Pacer says that I walked 2.6 miles on my iPhone, while my wife’s phone says that she walked nearly 4 miles. We both walked the exact same distance, but she has shorter legs and she took many more shorter steps. I like that it gives the proper amount of steps that we each took, but it should also take into consideration the average length of our strides so that our mileage would be close to the same.

You get out what you put in. I’ve been using the pacer app for years now but only recently upgraded to the premium in order to see how useful it would be. I will put it simply, you get out of it what you put into it. When I log into it daily, attempt to meet the calorie burn goal and log my weight, it provides a projection of my weight loss 30 days into the future and provides good tips to staying on my game. I’m not as diligent as I should be with it, and it will show. If I haven’t logged in for a while and I log my weight increase, the projection will change slightly. Motivation! It’s an inexpensive was to hold myself accountable. The only way I could benefit even more from this would be to get a watch that monitors my heart rate and bp. Other than that, I will keep using this app. Worth the change it costs. I would have spent that in a fried chicken sandwich and fries other wise.

Really good fitness app. So I’m it the type to really make reviews but for this all it’s a exception. I love is the app a lot since is easily functional and there are no ads. They also have a pretty accurate system of how many steps you take and how many calories you burn. I total recommend this app if you just wanna take a walk and count your steps or if your trying to lose weight as it has worked for me throughout my journey. Not to mention that this app has not the just steps and burning calories but also has some workouts and meditation courses that have helped me. (Even though you may have to pay a to get most of them) I totally recommend since there courses are worth it. So in the end I think this is a amazing app that works extremely well. And 16/10 recommend👏😌

Believe it or not..... This is my first ever, from the heart comment in my 40 yrs, so please be gentle with the comments. 😋 This app has been a great tool for me in the 2-3 months since I downloaded it. It’s really great for keeping me motivated, even when I’m ready to quit and give up. I don’t really know why, but this app is great for implementing life changes (at least so far 😉). From what I’m told, these changes will be the foundation to my weight loss and success thereof(?). Not to mention what I can’t do with this app, I can easily do on other apps. PERK - they all easily link together AND THE BEST PART is that the apps will communicate with each other and share info with each other. Using the apps together to review results in text, graph, charts, theories, suggestions, etc., I’ve been able to see my strengths & weaknesses in not only my health, but life patterns as well. I find myself mostly empowered to make these changes as a single parent of 4, FT-employee, friend and so on. And when I just want to throw my hands up in the air and say “f” it all, together, but still at different times, these four apps’ messages become more encouraging and I find the willpower to get back up on the horse (I suppose that would be the scale in this case🧐). This app, (and the others) is a total 5 star app to me.

Personal Trainer. I’ve been using this App for over eight months and if you are committed to following its data capability, you should be able to reward yourself with a healthy lifestyle. Its basic data recording is loaded with capabilities such as weight management, blood pressure and heart rates, and number of steps taken amongst other things recorded. There are many more capabilities that I am still discovering in this Application. It allows you to push yourself a step or ounce at a time, and be able to retain that record conveniently for past referencing. It makes me want to always beat my best mark by rewarding myself with positive data. And, It is able to accurately search back to any entry date and provide you with the information you loaded. And don’t worry if you forget to log in your data, it has a nice reminder feature. ✅ I’ve lost weight, walked further, seen my blood pressure improve and many more details that are available, all on my personal time. This is game changer for me. ❤️ You can have your own personal trainer. Do it!

Excellent functionality. This app tracks distance, time and calories burned using your smartphones GPS. Additionally all data can be set up in Apple Health which it has always done, and shared (internally) that you may care to do. After playing around with the user interface, I realized that there is no more an app can do for you than this one regarding calories expended, and distance and time used for your workouts. With record, pause resume and save functions, a person can if they choose, look at your prior walks or runs with full map integration. Want to drop into a store for a drink? Pause before entering. Leaving the store? Just resume and pick up your walk where you left off! Do that (pause) to reduce gps lock on time since going indoors blocks all gps signals. Then there’s the excellent workout types, saving time in finding the the workout you know you’re going to do. Combined with a good food and calorie app, weight loss becomes a realizable goal. Believe me when I tell you fellow dieters, I lost a pound a week for 10 weeks and without Pacer it would have been PURE guess work which is never a good thing. Pacer PREVENTS guess work in calculating weight loss related calculations when shared with your preferred diet-related or even other apps. Last but not least and REALLY important the app integrates all data with everything else on the IOS platform.

The best app ever !!!. Very nice and easy to use and you can make friends from around world And they never push you to buy a full version like other apps ! Super easy to use !! So far the best I ever found It’s been a year since I use this app and think is time for the developers to do an update!! So far the app is working fine ! It needs some more improvements and features but I guess they included that on the paid version So far the best !! Well I keep updating my experience with this App and so far i have not complaints! Compared with some other apps this is definitely the best !! 😃👏👍🏃🏃‍♂️🏆🥇 Still my favorite app so far !! Another year using this app and so far it’s the best ! Still the best app !! It’s been couple years since I start using this app and still the best app ever.I’m wow seeing if they will make some more updates for the app , it needs some free stuff to do. Plus some kind of source that records all your activity during the month and case you forgot to upload your activity to your profile Until now ! Still the best App and keeps improving!! Good job 👏!!! Well it’s been couple years using this app and still the best !! I love the new design! Everything runs smoothly!

Let’s get going!!. I enjoy having this App. I love working out and have for all of my adult life. As much as I love it, the hardest part of the workout is getting out the door! Once out, it feels so good and when the workout is finished, your body and your mind feel so together. It is as good for your mental health as well as the physical. When the gyms closed in 2020, I took up walking as my major form of exercise. The Pacer app really gets me out the door. When I start to procrastinate, I think, “time to get out and get the pacer going”. I like the feedback I get from the workout. It makes me not want to miss a day. I would recommend it at any time but especially now given the current health crisis globally. I would highly recommend it and best of all, the app has Global challenges that are great!!

Great app- great motivations to walk!. Been using pacer to track my steps for years and years - the free version- ans now I just bought the totally paid forever subscription. Why? Because they now have these walking routes around the world that you can adjust to 3,000 6,000 or 10,000 steps so I’m up to 7,000 (from 2,500) and they just give me a reason to walk more each day! Love it. Don’t they say we have to live a more active life? I’m now walking the “Camino De Santiago” so when you reach a city you can actually learn a bit more about the area and have a Google map view- it’s prettty cool! Also with the paid version you get trainings. I like this short trainings that I can do at any time I have 5-9 minutes to stop and just break my lazy routine (in front of my computer) - oh and did I mention the coach setting? It’s cute, and everyday “talks” and motivates you to walk! (He lives in my phone) So…for one single payment (I didn’t do the monthly subscription but you also can do that, or go free for years like me) I get all this forever with no ads!! Works for me! Keep up the good work Pacer!

It's a good app, but I need help with an issue!!. So a few months ago I lost track of the app because of a phone issue. I was devastated, and soon my running streak and exercise was annihilated. So today, I re-download the app, and I planned to start my running again and get back into the daily exercise. I created a new account to restart my progress and work up, but when I went to verify my email, it said that the email I used was in use for another account. I remembered it was the email I used for the other account, so I went to delete it but I realized I forgot my old password and I don't have it anymore. I tried clicking the (Forgot your password?) button but It didn't work and now I have no way to delete my old account to verify my new one. I need a way to delete it. Help!

GPS issues while recording outdoor activities. I’ve been having an issue where the GPS glitches and thinks I’ve travelled to another location. On the map it usually appears as a straight line to the incorrect location, because it’s thinking I was somewhere else. It invalidates my recorded info because it suddenly says I’ve walked 3 miles when I’ve really only walked 0.4 or something. I really hope this gets fixed, or that you allow us to edit our recorded walks. We should be able to grab sections of a walk and delete them if they’re invalid. Like, sometimes I’ve forgot to disable recording and once I’m in my car. Then me driving home ruins my time/mile pacing, and distance recorded. If I could delete that section it would be fine. Also my voiceover has started saying “10 minutes ONE SECOND” instead of just 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc,. Not a problem, just different and odd.

Pacer. I find this version, (free) of Pacer to be very helpful in tracking my distance, steps, and calories. The year, month, and weekly history is great. As with most apps, there have been many changes to the app that causes confusion on how to use the app. Sometimes, the changes involve the removal of well established options/features with-in the app. So many apps do this and I'm sick of it. Therefore, I do not trust apps to buy/pay for them. For me, the changes incorporates more difficulties and confusion as well as frustration to overcome in order to use the app. I'm above the age of consent, I'm 69. This and other apps keep changing and changing my guess is to tailor the app to a specific niche. Leaving those who enjoy and use features that have been removed behind in the dust. Abandon. Adding new features is great, but not at the expense of removing other features.

Wide range of activity support features. Third month of use. Learning the features took time as some are not intuitive. Impressive database of trails for exercise. Supports GPS tracking of walk, run, bike with data rich, user-selectable filter analytics criterion. I used this feature on several walk abouts to log my steps. I have not used other tracking. Knees only support walking. Annual fee is lower than similar applications. One application wanted $150 then when i chose not to buy they dropped price to 2/3rds. Download from Pacer is safe. Happy walking trails. Get a bud to walk with u. You will be happier and better motivated. Now after nine months I still use the application. Wish additional new material was added to help clients be aware of what peer reviewed health related studies have been published. Plan on using after first year. Cheers and happy stepping.

Accurate and thorough. I actually use this in tandem with my Apple Watch activity app because honestly this app is more accurate. I am a bartender and run up and down three flights of stairs probably 20-30 times a shift getting cases of beer & liquor as well as the bar that I work being VERY busy almost 6 days a week. It’s mind blowing sometimes to check this app after a super long and busy weekend at work and see just how many steps I’ve taken and flights of stairs I’ve climbed! It notified me today that yesterday alone I had taken almost 40,000 steps. It’s encouraging to me to see the stats when you go to the gym to run and work a job that’s very physically intensive. It sounds silly but it makes you feel more accomplished after a busy weekend. I really want to get the paid subscription because it definitely seems to offer many features that would make this even more useful. It’s a good app either way though.

Love the App. This app is my favorite to track my steps, get new recipes, and compete in races with people from all over the world. The challenges keep me motivated and are extremely fun to earn the badges. It is really a great motivation and when I trend my walks and compare my steps to others in my age group it keeps me moving. I have 3 other apps that I use but this one provides more for your money. If there was an area for improvement I would say adding a calorie counter to the food journal would be nice. It gets five stars because journaling is critical with wait lose so the calorie counter would be a nice to have added bonus. Pacer has definitely stepped up its game when compared to the other stepping apps. It holds you accountable and cheers you on. I love it!!

Pretty nice ap. I like the ap but I can never tell if it’s working ( turned on ) because no real action buttons and it automatically starts when opened by showing yesterday’s totals so when you close that window, you get to home page. The only setting that shows activity when tapped is the GPS button. Excellent map but seems to gauge steps and miles even when standing still. But still, becoming my favorite of 4 I run simultaneously to see how they work side by side. It stops working at odd times and with ear buds, I don’t hear a message, sound , or anything but when I check phone later, I see a message saying ap stopped like 28 minutes ago or something. I like more reliability. Thanks I like the historic trails but can’t get back to them and the first one”Inca Trail “ had a hard time starting up so I went back to just plain walking. Not too accurate on steps during day, only when set to GPS but then keeps adding distance even when exercise stopped.

Review. My daughter suggested this app to help me get over the loss of my puppy of 11 1/2 years. She said I needed to move and not mope. She’s right. My puppy died on Tuesday night. I stayed in all day Wednesday and started walking Thursday evening and continued yesterday, Friday. I walked 2 miles yesterday and enjoyed looking at progress along the way. I could have quit anywhere along the way but the app helped to push me to reach a goal. Tonight I will walk further and I hope to reach the goal of walking 5 miles eventually. My puppy didn’t like to walk so I’ve been sedentary for a long time with just short little walks with her. I went out today and got some comfortable socks to wear with my sneakers and I’m looking forward to my third walk in about an hour. Last night my husband walked with me and we had a good time encouraging each other. I’m not crying anymore and feeling good. Exercise is just what I needed. I just turned 73 on Christmas Day and my husband turned 74 on December 1 and we’re looking to many more years of walking.

Works well for GPS. Have only used the app to tack my activity based on GPS tracking in the app - it seems to be very accurate . The only improvement I would recommend is to be able to see details of the automatic “steps” it created when you are stationery (the kms & time). For my limited use so far it has been great 👏

It all begins with the first step. I love this app. Why? Because it has motivated me to become a very active older person.. In the past I always looked for the short cuts and I would let my grandchildren get things for me or make excuses that I was to old and sore to walk to the park. Now! I’m eager to go. I look forward to taking as many steps as possible and I always take the longest rout in order to get those 10,000+ steps in. As a result, I’ve become fitter and even lost a few kilos... thanks pacer

Not reliable. It starts off great until you start looking back at your data and realised another 30,000 steps that came from nowhere, calorie burn of 53 for 20,000 steps and you didn’t complete your goals because it didn’t update before midnight. It’s been a constant battle with their support to get things right and no action. Truly dissatisfied with the app. It was great to be motivated, earn a medal and feel accomplished, but I’m not doing it with false information. Look for another app if you want accuracy.

Virtual trip around Venice. I am loving my virtual walk around Venice. I look forward to reaching my next check point and this is really motivating me to walk further and further. This is making lockdown entertaining. My friends love hearing about my travels and all the useful information I gather along the way. I can’t wait to do another

FeeoriniChub. I keep going and checking to see how far I’ve come over the course of the day and it spurs me on to go further and this is from day 1! Imagine what it’ll be like over time. Plus I am a very competitive person so seeing that I am more active by 64% than others using this app made me think to myself that I must beat that and next time it will be 70%

Pacer review. I use Pacer to keep a tab on my steps, other exercises I’m doing, kilometres walked and calories burned. There are other options on offer, such as help with routines and losing weight etc which I haven’t taken up at this stage. The app is easy to use whilst having a lot on offer.

Inaccurate results. We have this so and whilst overseas, showed I did over 30k steps, yet when I look at month it shows for that date 23k steps. I took screen shot if the day. My husbands didn’t go back to zero and added a day to his streak and kept the steps from previous day. We have been doing this for 6 months, now I’m not sure we have done the steps this app shows??

Useful app. Helpful tool for motivating and tracking. It’s a great app that you can engage with as much or little as you choose to. You can still get a good amount of assistance from it if you choose stick with the basic unpaid options, join the community, or don’t. Other than it does what it says it does (which is so rare nowadays) there’s no pressure to sign up, or pay, or hand over personal details. That alone deserves a five star rating. Give it a shot, you’ve got nothing to lose, and you might actually gain a supportive app &/or community to help you stay on track.

Inaccurate data. The app is supposed to sync with my Fitbit and use the data to log progress through challenges. I have noticed significant discrepancies with data on this app and using my Fitbit account have confirmed there are major discrepancies, particularly with distances travelled during challenges, where the app has failed to include Fitbit data resulting in the app showing I have travelled far less distances than I actually have. I have tried to rectify this through manually inputting data via the app, but this also fails to be reflected within challenges.

Clumsy and confusing interface. I actually like this app! I’m trialing the premium version and I like how it looks and what it does HOWEVER I find it so confusing and hard to navigate. I spend way to long fumbling around looking for certain features. I still can’t work out how to find groups or join communities. I recorded a route yesterday and can’t find it anywhere. It took me ages to locate my exercise history and I find the way it’s logged quite unsatisfying. Coach with all your personal stats is tucked away somewhere and there’s no easy way to access yesterday’s info. Overall because of the awkward and frustrating navigational issues within the app I’m thinking I will cancel once the trial runs out. Such a shame because really it shouldn’t be hard to make something a little more user friendly and enjoyable to use. I like the front page with the pedometer, along with the live updates while walking and the advice on how many calories need to be burned to stay on track and that’s about it.

Bunni Stowe. Best fitness app ever-I have been using it everyday since late July 2020 and have lost 17 kgs-pacer is the best!- I have also completed just about all of the adventure challenges which are available on the website-so motivating And I LOVE the collection of finishers medals I have collected-I have recommended this app to several friends, and think it’s a great tool for weight loss and fitness

4 Because . . .. The app is absolutely brilliant. The people you meet (on the whole) are fantastic & help keep you accountable (if you’re trying to loose weight/stay fit). The medals are beautiful & if there’s a problem with one of them (I’ve only have one with the 20+ I’ve received) they verify it & send you a new one!!! The options are also fantastic to choose from, easy distances to really long distances & plenty of challenges too. There are occasional glitches where your steps go missing & you have to report it to Pacer & send lots of screen shots to back it up & eventually it does get credited back to you but unfortunately you may have missed out on that days “count”. The but is that there are occasional glitches where your steps go missing & you have to report it to Pacer & send lots of screen shots to back it up & eventually it does get credited back to you but unfortunately you may have missed out on that days “count”.

Just what I needed. I am really impressed and have never been soo motivated to get steps in. The whole setup is geared towards your hormonal / neural transmitter reward system (dopamine) this occurs at the various check points and the completion of the virtual event. Bring on that first medal. Day 1 and I’m 7.3 I’m into Machu Pichu. I look forward to conquering this and then working through the remainder including the Great Wall of China.

Can’t speak more highly of this app. Struggled with meditation and i deed finding the time but there are so many options for a quick session. I start off in bed with the daily calm which only takes 10 minutes and starts the day off in the correct mode. A yoga session in the arvo with another session (so many options) and the day is complete! 💖 Tamara

Great app. Really find this app useful. Fairly accurately tracks distance & calories, although it's as close as you can get to accurate. Seems to match my TomTom activity watch in terms of tracking so I'm happy with it. Shares info with other tracking apps. Simple & straightforward to understand. Will send you notifications, if that's what you want. I prefer not but some like prompters. Nothing super special about the app but it's functional and does what it says it does.

Great free version. Love this app, I have the free version and while basic, is pretty much perfect (though I would love some activity aspects of the premium!). Great for tracking activity, weight tracking and GPS. Gives little reminders about weight logging and exercise without being intrusive. Used to give distance badges just for steps but that got moved to premium which is a little sad.

Keeps you sane and motivated. These virtual challenges are brilliant. We can’t travel (yet), but you can cover the distance at your own pace to fit your lifestyle and learn a little about where the challenge is. Plusyou get a medal so you feel like you have achieved something. Strangely comforting in such an unusual time in our lives.

Trav. Luv this app It’s helped me to track my progress as I get back into more daily exercise Really like how it gives you an update on how far you have ran/jogged or walked and your time at intervals that you can set to your liking Also luv how it keeps your history so you can compare how much you’re improving on distance, time , speed (and more) So simple to use - I really recommend this app to anyone of any fitness level

Great app that doesn’t harass you!. Pacer does all I need - record my personal walks each day. It’s free if that’s what you need and it doesn’t bug you about upgrades or subscriptions. It has a heap of other features that I might use but let’s ease into it! Easy user interface as well.

Pacer.. I enjoy pacer as it gives me an idea of how active I am, am what time of day and has the work out raining which I use often. Give it a go. It might work better if you have the/a watch because I leave my phone on the table when I’m at home doing stuff and non of that gets registered so I seem way slacker than I am but otherwise all good.

Long term user. Has Enabled me to keep track of my daily activity objectives in my retirement years, for over 8 years. The analysis and statistics provide the incentive to remain committed and as active as I can given my age. It has also been great for our dogs who travel each Kilometre with me. Thanks, Rob👍

Thanks for this app. I really love this app and I haven’t even been using it for a week yet though it’s helping me just push my self a little more each day and it is just walking around the house and adding a few more steps a day but it all adds up and I can see how it will become addictive to challenge myself each day and it is simple as and I haven’t even signed up for the full program and truly I feel better about myself every day because you can see your self improving each day

Free app but most accurate step count!. I am using Pacer more than 3 years now. I do 10,000 steps a day and Pacer helps me track my steps. The most wonderful thing is this is a free app but still better measure than some expensive watches and pedometer. I recommend it to everyone who wants to track their steps daily and be healthy 👍

Great for tracking your walks and runs. The app does what it says. It will count your steps, calculate your calories used, track your walks and runs, share or not share as you prefer, and pass the info to other Health apps if you want it to. I’ve used it for years. It keeps getting better. I love it. It’s helping me to get fitter.

Pacer is a great aid. The fact that it keeps record of your activity and you really don’t have to think about it is great. I’m super busy and I count calories but can’t keep up with everything so I’m glad Pacer does that for me. At the end of the day I can open the app and calculate how my daily routine went and if I need to make any improvements.

Great way to keep you on your toes!. I highly recommend this app and have got quite a few friends onto this. The more competitive ones have made a couple of groups to keep everyone “on their toes”! This has really over a period helped a number of us lose weight and get fitter.

Dr Gerrit Rian Cloete, Brisbane, Australia. Most Informative Gym buddies on the market. Linked it to my Garmin Felix watch. Correct information, much better with Garmin than when I used the Apple watch in between for 6 months. Enjoy the fitness advice, diet monitor and food used registration. Recommended stretching and other fitness advice are also good. Please try and add Wim Hoff ice water, breathing and Sauna times. 👏🚴‍♂️🏌️‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Pacer was great. Had efficient go’s tracking and had an average count of step, it also allowed me to use more useful features. Overall I am very happy with its function and tech. There could be better connection and less wait for results to load but it’s the best iPhone step-count I’ve seen. Congrats to the creator of pacer

Great tool for team building. I used this app twice already in corporate world, it’s fun to have a step competition, especially in lock down time. We need to walk and exercise more instead of sitting in front of computer. It’s good doe improve physical health and mental health too! Highly recommend it!

Amazing App. The app is great! I mainly use it for the adventure challenge series. It does cost a bit but worth every dollar as you get a medal upon completion which is very solid and beautiful. Also it can be used as extra motivation to get moving and active. The start that respond and reply to your quietude via fb chat are great, kind and very responsive! Would recommend to all!

Good tracking. I love the way the GPS works with this app. I used to have it announce time and distance but after around six months I found it made my walking to much about pace and not pleasure. I only have one criticism that the graphics are not quite as good as other tracking apps I use. I’m also a little annoyed that it asks me log my weight constantly I reached my goal months ago (lost 22kg).

Great but make sure it's awake before going for a walk!!. I love this app and use it everyday but definitely needs fixing coz it does not automatically turn on all the time. I also find the exercises included are very limited, weight-training should at least be there. It's syncing with Myfitnesspal app sometimes. Both these apps motivates me to move and eat healthy everyday :)

A good pedometer app. This is a good app for walkers and runners, it gives you most of the details you’d want to see on a typical runing app, lately however, the ads are starting to get in the way, before there was only one ad popping up on the bottom of the app and that was okay, but now there are two ads popping up, one at the top and at the bottom, and I don’t really like the idea of paying continuously for a subscription to remove the ads and unloock the full features, I’ll be more than happy to pay for it once. And another thing, lately, I have found the app is not very accurate at tracking indoor activities such as exercise bikes and elliptical cross trainers, I just finished my 30 minute workout on my exercise bike and it tracked 19 kms and 222 calories, but on my pacer app it only tracked 2.9 kms and 159 calories. It is however mostly good at tracking outdoor activities such as walking.

Ashok’s review - many nice features are paid version only. The tracking options are great. Summary is okay too. One draw back is that it does not record workouts unless you track them in GPS mode. Would be nice if the app can start recording once it notices the user is active for more than say 15 minutes. I have missed to get the right workout summary many times as I realised in the middle of my run that I have not started the activity in GPS mode. Again, I would love to subscribe for the premium, but the cost of the app is very very high. Owners may consider a lesser price and it will help them gain many more subscribers. Finally, there are many virtual races but none are free. You should start considering few virtual races free for your users to experience how it feels / works.

Today’s message said............,. If you don’t feel like working out just try for ten minutes. Well, I’m too old to work out but I do walk. Was about to turn back when the message came through, eight thousand steps later my dog and I are glad we continued, still walking (got to get home😀) Wrote the above nearly one year and nearly thirty kilos ago - ‘nuff said?

Pacer. I was dubious about signing up for walking at my advanced age… one new knee and the other shabby, but walking stick in hand I’m doing the best I can and that’s good enough! I’m feeling positive, the girls (dogs) are loving the extra walks. So, so far so good!!!!……now I’ve done 9 walks and very proud of my medals. I took my latest medal to show my doctor yesterday and he was VERY impressed and said I’m the healthiest he’s seen me. A fabulous incentive!

Love Pacer. This version of Pacer is fabulous, it tells me how many steps I have taken throughout the day, which is a real bonus when I walk my dog, when I walk across campus to work, and any time I walk throughout the day. It also has a tracker section which allows me to work out how many steps I take on daily routes...I love it! It helps with my exercise routine...

Fit buddy. Love it apart from a small glitch here and there, somewhat easy to use, do on occasion have to manually sync as it doesn’t always sync automatically as stated by the app maker, have tried the premium (pay for it) version and not really noticed to much of a difference. Connected easily enough with other apps and smart watch. Overall 8/10

Bit busy but has a lot of features. I appreciate that this app has a lot of useful features. Perhaps too many (at least for me), so I would appreciate an option to remove some of the buttons to simplify the experience of those of us who don’t use everything. Because as it is at the moment logging in stresses me out. For someone who prefers to use every feature it would be awesome.

Pacer Premium. This application gives you every possible tool needed to learn how to lose weight. It has daily lessons and quiz’s. It Tracks your weight, dietary intake, exercise, water intake and blood pressure. It enables you to view health reports and then share or print these documents. It aids all health care workers to track your journey to a healthier life. It gives exercise programs. It can track your steps and suggest challenges that you can participate in. It provides daily motivation sayings with beautiful photographs. It has recipes that help you to change your diet it has a food journal. You name it and it has it.! It’s affordable and inspiring in all that it offers you. 5 Star is the rating I’d give it. Well done!

Review. With encouragement from a friend, I decided to join up, only yesterday. Already I’ve pulled out all stops to kick up the walking regime. How couldn’t you when you get audio updates every 5 minutes to see how far you’ve come!! It even had me jogging and my 10,000 steps turned into nearly 12,000! I am on holidays so this is a slightly different scenario yet with a full exploration of the functionality of this app, I can really see myself going places! THANK YOU PS Comment some 3 to 4 months later, this app still delivers and continues to be a way for me to keep being active on a daily basis.

Great app to use to get fit and organise. I’ve been using the app on and off for over 2 years. I mainly use it for counting my steps, but it’s so much more than that. You can use it to assist you in getting organised as a assistant with following your heart rate, steps, weight. It’s always getting improved with added functionality over the years I’ve used. It’s also got a coach to help you motivate you and organise. Highly recommended!!!

5 Stars. Love this app. I have tried so so many that all charge $ and some for free. Pace definitely covers the cost of being premium if you use the app to how it is designed. There are plenty of challenge’s, groups and also chats. Keeping it a community based app. I will say however at first I found it hard to navigate.. super easy now. Worth the $

Love travelling the world from my own neighbourhood. I love the world wide walking challenges, I think I’ve done 4 already. I’m now on a bit of a running kick, and this just makes it all better and keeps me motivated! It links seamlessly with my Apple Watch and counts my steps all day adding to my total. Love this app!

My thoughts. I like many others over the years have looked in the mirror and said “who’s that fat B! So then I decided to look at free app that could help me firstly map how many kilometres I walked and also how long it takes, which like most apps this does. What I would like to see is the course you walk in detail so you can time yourself, each time you walk it, this way you can see how you perform and also reduce the time gradually. Regards, Slimmer FB

Great Pace. An awesome little app that gives you lots of stats and figures for daily use as well as a great overall picture of your progress compared to other apps, it has a good option for a scheduler for weightloss (paid) which seems good but I just want the step counter, I haven’t paid the extra, so not sure what that part of the app is really like. A great app overall, definitely worth the download

Disappointing. The Pacer app records every step you take and with iOS you can’t turn it off. This means that you can’t count just the runs that you want to do to reach your goal, it just counts what you normally do anyway so the app gives little incentive to do more. I found I had finished the challenge before I’d run half the distance. And with no street view as other apps offer it’s pretty dull. None of this was revealed before I joined and the help line offered nothing useful. Pacer sent the medal well before I finished. It’s almost like they only wanted my money and my data. I’ve done 6 challenges with another company that had none of these problems.

Simple yet effective motivator. easy to use, uncomplicated display to motivate you to achieve personal goals, great workout videos are short, doable and fun, route memorization makes regular workouts a breeze. happy with the upgrades over the past 5 years i’ve been using this app.

Great exercise tracking app. I started using Pacer to see how many steps I was taking during the day but it has now turned into a great place to talk to likeminded people who are looking to keep fit and healthy. It has really good milestones to keep you motivated and the community has been amazing. I have met quite a few really cool people on Pacer and love talking to them everyday. I highly recommend Pacer.

Great app. This is the second virtual walk app I have tried. This one connected to my Apple Health and watch without issue. It tracked seemlessly. The app is easy to navigate, where the other app I tried was clunky, didn’t read from Apple and continuously kicked me out while trying to manually enter data or navigate to see maps etc. I undertook the longest walk, as I walk a lot. I look forward to seeing more longer walks. I thoroughly enjoyed the way points with photos and information!!!!

John. Great app... a real helper

Yup, still using every day! Still great!. Still using daily after all these years!

Gail. Doesn't always count the steps. But generally really like this app Wish it would tell me when I reach 3,000 and 6,000 and 10,000 agai. It did at first now hardly ever. The step counting is better.

UN 759. Good one

Perfect. Been looking for a good pedometer app for a couple of years... Pacer fulfills everything I’ve been looking for... Everyone in my family uses it...

5. Excellent

Great step counter. Love having this app to help me reach my daily goal of 10,000 steps. My only reservation is that it set my achievements back to zero when I missed three days of reaching the daily goal by forgetting to check the app. 🥲

Pacer 1945. I used it everyday ! For me last 4 years. Keep me in shape! Richard I will refer this app to everyone

Pacer. Use it everyday when running or walking and on my stair workout. Seems to work great for me

Pacer. Thoroughly enjoying the application, friendly and motivating steps competition!

Great app. You’ll love it.. I love this app. I find it super accurate. I have counted my steps and then checked the app and its bang on. Fantastic. It’s made me so much healthier.

4 stars. Very good for a free app.

The best app. Help me every day

Review. Often stops counting on a gps walk.

Pacer. I am very pleased with this App as it helps me be aware of when I am sitting around too much in a day. Also when I am very busy and feel tired it helps me put my day into perspective.

Awesome. Awesome

Pacer Virtual Challenges. I’ve been using Pacer for over a year. The community is awesome! I’ve walked almost around the world - I put in my 30,000 steps/day faster and faster and I’ve lost weight. It is the best app for virtual challenges!

Gamify your health. Motivate yourself to stay active by seeing your results and doing better

Pacer. Pacer is at the very top level

Access to challenges for premium members. Hello. Thank you for constant and great support! Please make it possible to participate in all challenges for premium members. For example: planets, animals and etc. challenges. As it is possible in the country adventures participation. I think many people would really appreciate this and it would definitely lead to increase in premiums! Thank you for your consideration!

Only works if you agree to be slave to your phone. This app refuses to work with fitness trackers and relies on your phone. That is very problematic for those of us who value privacy and for those who refuse to be tied to their phone at all times. Several friends and I added it so we could have a fitness accountability group, but since Pacer refuses to work with Garmin or Fitbit, we are all deleting the app.

Very easy to use. Very easy to use and challenge your friends

This app keeps you active, and helps you achieve higher goals!. Highly recommended!

Worst app ever. Does everything but nothing

Highway Robbery - Beware of automatic billing. Dishonest to the core. You think you’re paying a steep price but at least it’s a “one time” fee (for what your phone can do for free). Turns out they hide automatic renewal deep in there somewhere - with no option for refund after they’ve charged you the following year (No Buyers Remorse capacity. It truly feels like Robbery to me). Stay away on principle.

Great Ap. Have enjoyed using for years now. I use this several times a day. It's great measurement and I rely on it for my walking programs.

Workout walk. I walk 1 hour for 1 year I’m in best shape I look great

Very good. I like it a lot. I use daily

Good. Good app

My Walks. I enjoy using the app. It’s helpful to know your progress using the recorded steps. But some days you can’t walk as far or as long. The app guilt’s to try everyday.

Super site Merci. Ok Super! J’adore! Toujours toujours et super ! Excellent j’adore Super Supertres Très satisfaite! Rien à redire Toujours fidèle Toujours Aussi super Merci Pacer! Toujours très satisfaite. Je recommande pleinement Pacer Super! C’est tout ce que j’ai à dire

Great little app. Does everything I need

Great for tracking data. Great for insights, tracking data.

Great app!. This app functions well and helps me to keep track of my progress. The daily updates are good motivation.

Micheal Lazzarino. Love this app

Helps. Keeps me active and stimulates walks when I don’t feel like them

App is crashing on new update. App keeps crashing and has removed itself from home screen. Cannot reinstall as I keep being prompted to update, which I've done. Keep getting error messages... have tried rebooting phone.

Facile d’utilisation. Très bien

Walker. Town Walker’s

Pacer is fun!. We do family challenges and the kids are even getting fit.

Does what it says. I don't think it's that accurate, but my phone is only a 5c and doesn't have the correct sensors so I can't really fault the app.

Je ne peux plus m’en passer!!. J’adore cette application qui est très addictif et gratuite.

Excellent. I have been using Pacer for a while and it’s has been a great experience for me to track my walking

Great motivation. I’ve used Pacer for a few years. I recently started a 10,000 step per day challenge. It is a great motivation and gets the whole family out moving.

Excelent. Easy to use

Awesome. Great app. Keeps me motivated.

Love it. Great easy app for tracking my steps and activities!!

Great app. Keeps track

Step counter. I refer to Pacer most every day. It notes indoor steps as well which a previous app did not.

Updating. I used this add my step on my pacer but now I can’t? Why

Best step app ever!. I always thought I was active in my daily activities. When my brother-in-law showed my Pacer and I downloaded it, I found out just how wrong I was. Average steps were 4300 steps daily for first month. Thanks to Pacer, I have changed my lifestyle and now take only steps in the office, walk extra at home, and try to insert time to walk every day. In 6 months I have increased my walking to 8300 steps daily. I have also lost weight without having to change my eating habits. I am a physician and see a lot of overweight and sedentary patients. I recommend Pacer to every one of them and follow their progress. Thank you Pacer! 6 years later I am at 14,000,000 steps.

Steps being zeroed out. I have signed up with pacer about a week or so ago as a premium member. For some reason about 2 days now the steps I have taken are being zeroed out for some reason not sure if I have set something to cause that but I am so frustrated as I have bought myself a runner belt just to have my phone on me but every time I will stop to look at it I can see the number of steps but it will automatically start counting back down to 0. So frustrating so I’m wondering if this is a glitch, anyone experimenting the same issue and most importantly if anyone could help. I will really appreciate this to be resolved as I paid for the whole year already. Thanks Updating. App works great and customized to your workouts.

SCAnonymous. This app gives me the simple data I want in a clean, clear layout. Easy to use. Even the free version offers more features than I usually use. The graphs make setting target goals easier and I like seeing my improvement - it motivates me to get those bar charts higher. And all I have to do is keep my phone with me! I’m going to get the paid version as soon as I can add it to my budget - I think Pacer will be a fun and easy way to motivate myself and track my progress, as well as enjoying the features like Challenges and Sharing data with like-minded friends and family. Can’t wait!! It’s free to use, and I highly recommend it. (I usually do NOT leave reviews at all, so I’m really happy with Pacer 😁.)

Part of my life. I’ve been using this app to keep track of how much I move around. I live with pretty severe nerve pain that affects my mobility at times. This app lets me set goals for myself to do more than I would normally walk. It even helped me push my own boundaries, I’m mostly home bound either due to pain or due to the pills meant to manage the pain, but I can still manage a 10 mile walk in my basement over the course of the day. It’s increased my mobility, helped me lose weight, and overall just helped me to get up more often and move my body. The challenges add a welcome distraction too, using this app is much more preferable to walking stationary on a treadmill.

Love How It Records Steps in Real-Time. Previously, I was using the pedometer in the Health app that comes standard with the iPhone. I have continuous issues with the step count not updating and getting stuck. I downloaded Pacer, and am thrilled with how accurate it is, with my steps registering immediately. There are also a lot of great free features. I particularly like how you can easily record a workout/GPS, and it will give you an audio update every five minutes with your current mileage and time so you can stay hands free. I’ve actually been doing a lot more walking since I’ve downloaded this app since I enjoy using it, and I try to beat my previous step count each day. My dog loves the extra exercise! :) -Laurrah

Upset and out of money. I haven’t even been able to utilize this app and I’m already annoyed and upset with it. I’m on a workout kick (again but that’s irrelevant) and I wanted to try out multiple apps to see which I like best, especially those that had membership programs that could help me keep on track during this upcoming chapter of life I call college. Like the others I signed up for a free trial. However unlike the others before I could even allow location services, I HAD BEEN CHARGED $32 for the annual subscription. So like a normal human I am very confused as to how free=$32. I have since requested a refund but at the same time this less than five minute situation has made me not even want to use the app and that’s why for the second time (yes the second. I used the free version for a while about a year or so ago) I have deleted it off my phone.

What happened??. For years I’ve been very pleased with this useful app; checking it often and recommending it to others. However, looking at it today I realized my steps for numerous weeks, and even months, have completely disappeared. Rather than the thousands of steps I take every day, there now shows a flat zero, over and over. I can only imagine that there was something wrong with the latest update. (March 2022) I don’t want to switch to a different app, I like this one a great deal. But if it isn’t going to track my steps—which was the whole reason I started using it—then I’ll have no choice but to move on. I hope whatever went wrong will be corrected and the data I’ve built up for years will be returned to me. Then my rating will go from two stars to five stars, as it should be.

Great App for Me. I love this app! I was basically pretty sedentary during Covid so I needed encouragement to get back moving again. I joined a gym but needed to get walking outside also. I first started walking about 1.5 miles per day. I tracked my steps on Pacer and later found I could also add in my steps from the treadmill. I started and completed a 100 mile online challenge. Next I did a 13 mile London challenge. I was amazed that I got up to around 3 miles per day and I lost 11 pounds! Yay! (I haven’t been able to do that by dieting!) I would recommend starting with the 13 mile challenge first then the 100 miles. I’m still walking & tracking and plan to do more of the 100 milers!

Pacer. I started getting serious for me anyway, I’ve Carrie extra 65 pounds for about 10 yrs. I had both knees replaced and once therapy was over I went back to 40 hrs a week bedside care in an icu unit. Then I was starting to have slowly gaining weight first about 5-7 pound then it got me to over 275#s started having issues with my hands and really more hip pain. So I shifted departments. Sitting in front of a monitor 8 hrs a shift 40 hr weekly. I have enjoyed keeping track of myself I don’t run but we have a dog she loves to walk outside. Since I started I’ve gone from 297 down to 267! I don’t draw a sweat but do enjoy a good mowing sweat in the summer and will continue to again this coming summer! A sure 5 stars!

Adventure walks are Genius. I am now a premium member and I can’t get enough of Adventure Walks that take you around the globe With a great narrative describing famous landmarks around the world. One minus Support has not been useful - sorta dated - and I have been asking to resolve duplicate account issue for quiet a while now. When moving to new device - I logged in with Apple and now cannot find original account. I would still very much like to know, if I can combine the two accounts as they both stored valuable data and completed Adventure Walks Also, there needs to be in-app chat with service instead of emailing out of app because responses get lost in a shuffle or spam.

What a great company. First of i have to say that i had to stop using this app because of temporary medical reasons and fully intent to start up again when i am able. This app and its people (in particular „ jeff from pacer“ as he calls himself) are so encouraging and totally committed to their customers. I was surprised to get a personalized reply to my questions. He was extremely helpful to the point that i felt bad that i wanted to cancel. Unfortunately i am someone that if i have something „laying around unused“ it looses its excitement and i find myself never using it again. Since i need to start more healthy habits i can’t take that risk. I want to start fresh including and especially the pacer app....if that makes any sense.. great app! I will be back! Thanks Jeff, Jessie P.

Greatest parking lot assistant ever!. Good heavens, guys. The entitled sure expect everything to be fee & ad-free. Come on....they gotta pay for this stuff. Anyway...I LOVE this app. Since I'm now parking at the back of all parking lots so I can get more steps in, I waste no time searching for a spot & find my car easily when I come back out! It's amazing how much stress this simple act eliminates from my life. I now also take the stairs EVERY time & get to feel superior to my co-workers who trudge over to wait for the elevators. The step counter is accurate as far as I can tell, but all that really matters is the relative ups & downs you're charting, I suppose. Love the Trends options & graphs for long-term perspective. One of my top three favorite apps.

Simply Awesome App. I have been amazed by the features of this well designed app. It does everything it says it can do very well. Couldn't be more pleased.I’m almost 80 years old in the problem with most apps is that they think you’re 24 to 40. I was an avid user of Pacer, but unfortunately, my physical condition changed for the worst. So far as I can tell, there is no way change your profile in the sense that I was walking 10,000 steps a day with my best day over 14,000. I now I have a badly torn right meniscus, and I walk with a cane. I cannot find a way to reset to the physically different person that I am now without having to purchase a new account.

Pacer is awesome!!!. The app is so easy to use and I love the variety of challenges. Plus the support of a community of other “Pacer” users. You can be super involved or simply look at your steps each day-whatever you want! The best part is that it doesn’t cost a thing. Each of us is supposed to get 10,000 steps a day minimally and I know I need to do more. I am starting where I am at and just simply trying to improve each day and over time I hope to easily achieve the mark of 10,000 and still have energy to do more. I highly recommend it to anyone who is up for a bit of a challenge and wants to start getting in more steps each day. You could build MN entire routine of exercise with this app alone. Simply brilliant!

I Recommend Pacer App. I love this app! You control how personal or private you want your account to be. I love the challenges in this app. It has helped me so much in just less than a month to accomplish goals and movements I wasn’t thinking about before. I’m in competition with only myself, but this app has helped me take accountability for myself and my physical activity. This app gives me structure. Before I was sedentary, and didn’t realize how much damage I was causing myself. I’m an old Air Force vet that is more motivated now to continue staying active! Seeing so many others being involved and so active keeps me determined that I can do it to and that I will do it too! Thanks Pacer app! I don’t have the premium package and don’t plan on getting it anytime soon, but I love it without it too. Hopefully in the future I will be able to get the premium package.

Onward To Greater VICTORIES!. The ease of using this app really makes a difference. I better understand the importance of paying stricter attention to my overall health. And what affects my ability to achieve and maintain optimal levels of well being includes keeping track of my daily progress and behavior as well. After losing and regaining hundreds of pounds over the last almost 49 years of marriage and 5 kids, I'm only 20 lbs away from my total weight loss goal of 133 lbs. Being able to effortlessly bend over to grab my ankles from any position, plus feeling and looking better now than I have in decades are truly worth dropping some unhealthy habits. Your app is genuinely appreciated!

Great app. I’ve been using this app for quite some time, but started bike riding in May. There is an old term, “plug and play” using the app is that easy. Pick your activity, (walking, running, biking) and hit start. When you finish, you’ll know how far you’ve gone, see that on a map, know how long it took, your avg pace or speed, your highest speed, the amount of calories you burned. It even knows your total elevation gained. Voice prompts notifying you if your progress happen every 5 min. which helps keep you motivated. (Think the timing of this is adjustable). Wonderful tool for the health conscious or those, like me, who are just getting started.

Awesome !!. I’ve had this app for 2 years now. I got it because I wanted to keep track of my steps and how many miles I was walking when i started my weight loss journey. I hate the health app on the iphone it used to be easy to navigate but it’s just a no for me. So i got this app and It’s very accurate and aligns with the step counter that the iphone has on the health app, give or take a few steps ! I only have the basic version but it’s well worth having ! It tracks the steps, time active and calories burned ! It also keeps a log of your steps so you can go back and look at how many steps you did the day, week or month before. Love it !!

There's nothing better out there. Again there's nothing better out there than this app even all the fancy wrist Brandt bands you still have to go to your phone to find out what they do so just buy one app the best nap of all I love the system in the app only problem is I was in the hospital for a couple days and when I went to retrieve my data I could not and I also bought a new phone and iPhone 6 Plus I went to the app to retrieve all the data and they would not give it to me it did not go through so I lost one year of all my steps which I was really doing good with that's the only thing about this app I do not like it's like you losing a year of hard work sir

Perfect. I rarely use more than the basics of this app but it’s perfect for what I need. I use it to count steps through my phone, turn on the tracking device component when I go hiking or treks with my doggos which makes my hubby and sons feel better, and I like the route option for new places I go and want to retrace my steps, sometimes even just because I’ve walked by some new stores I want to go back to at a later time. I don’t often use the motivational options, like joining up with a group to track steps, or “walking” some far flung place I may never visit in real life, or even adding other fitness but nice to know I can, rather than going to a different app.

Safety contact is the best feature. This app tracks pretty much everything I care about, including saving routes. I don’t have premium, so my main gripe is that the voice check in every 5 minutes is a bit much. I’d like to be able to set the timing, but that’s a premium feature and I’m cheap. Easily the best thing is the option to send GPS tracking to a safety contact. I run well trafficked trails and streets with my dog, but my boyfriend (and I) feel more secure when he can check in on me. Once, we stepped 15 ish feet and off the trail for a few minutes to let some skunks pass. They were slow, and my boyfriend called to make sure I wasn’t stuck or something.

$20 a year to encourage exercise!!! Can’t beat that price!!!. Nowadays - after Covid - that’s the cost of a case of soda!!! The virtual walking has increased my exercise, even if some days by only a tiny bit and I’m loosing weight :) Start off slow and walk to an extra room in your house when you get up to do something… stand up and sit down on a chair/bed 3 times, then the next week 5… etc… don’t just start walking 3 miles a day if you haven’t been already walking :) I’m too old to not exercise… “if you don’t use it, you’ll loose it” is my philosophy and it helps with the stiffness and joint pain :) Best investment I ever made!!! (I’m not a doctor, consult your doctor 1st!!!)

Constant ad for “premium” is obnoxious. I downloaded this app recently so I could monitor the steps I take at work to obtain a more accurate picture of my activity that includes both intentional walks and “passive” walking at other times. PROS: I was able to get a more accurate picture of my activity and compare work week to weekend activity. CONS: A pop-up ad to upgrade to the premium service has to be cleared every time I want to look at historical data. (You do get a few moments to look at the current number of steps.) There is no obvious way to clear it with out closing the app and I end up spending double the time to access information. DEVELOPERS: Your decision to have view blocking, time consuming pop up ads for your premium service continuously load is the reason for a 3 star rating and the deletion of your app from my iPhone XR. I understand that you make your money from the premium services, and I purchase premium content and services when the free version proves useful. However, when the free app is rendered useless or obnoxious, I don’t reward developers by purchasing their premium services. I delete and let others know of my experience. There are so many options available for iPhone users, and I exercise my right to choose.

Great App for tracking steps and other miscellaneous stats!. Been using this app for years now and love how it does it’s job as a step counter and the little additions with other stats. With events and goals that you can set yourself is great for motivation and competing with other individuals. My only two complaints is the way they rank you in events based off of how many people like your progress. Wish it was based off of how many steps you have accumulated over time. As well as in the country tab for events I see other people that aren’t from the country that I’m in! These two small complaints won’t change my overall review on this app though

AMAZING. I got pacer because I love to inline skate, and I wanted to tell how far I was going. When I first got it, it was simple and so I decided to see how far I can really go. It turns out I was going 5 miles on a weekly basis! You decided to keep using it and now I go 12 miles once a week. From the first day I have used it to every other day it has been my favorite app and I can’t wait to see what the future updates will bring. I HIGHLY recommend this app even if you are not a spore addict! It can get you in perfect shape so much easier than the other apps. I have tried even to see if there was a better app, but in my OPINION, this is the best. I highly recommend and thank the creators of pacer greatly!

Pacer app. Pacer is the best app I have used. It does a great job counting my steps, counting my calories and counting my miles walked. I never have to worry about anything. All I do is walk and it does the counting. I have already lost 11 pounds just using this app. I walk anywhere from 6-8 miles a night. I will continue to use pacer and I have some of my friends doing pacer also. I enjoy watching my friends stepping and I get to step with them and we all can see each other’s steps. Amazing app. Download today u won’t be sorry. You won’t lose anything but weight. So download today and lose a few unwanted pounds. God knows I did and I am happy glad about it. If I can do it so can you.

Pacer Strong. Three things have kept me alive over the past 2 years I have gone through some personal struggles with marriage and my daughters being mostly taken for me: 1. God 2. Family 3. Pacer & exercise. Pacer has been a constant (10,000 steps every day for around 6-9 months straight-I can’t remember when I started the challenge). While my mom and dad, sisters, and extended relatives have been very helpful, my Pacer Family has been just as important to my health and well-being. My Pacer friends have been encouraging to me through the muck of it all. I hope my estranged wife realizes some day that I’m not the devil she has conjured up in her mind. Thanks Pacer for giving me this support since I started about 1-2 years ago. Shalom.

Good for gamifying Exercise. We use this app to have Walk-Off competitions and track our steps for the month. We have our own group, we set daily limits and goals and then we’re off to the races! A very fun way to see your daily output and hold yourself accountable, I upgraded to the premium version because I loved it so much, but wait for the next time they put it on sale. It’s useful at a great price! They even had a appwide issue the other day, their team got on it quickly and made the corrections to reflect accurate statistics. I was thoroughly impressed with their attention to detail and correcting app issues quickly.

Amazing Motivator. The moment I got this app I didn’t realize how much was included. I was bummed at first to not be able to join groups without premium, but after I took my first walk I saw how much you could do outside of their premium program. While walking it told me every 5 minutes how far I had gone and what time I was at which was such a good motivator! As someone who is obese that was a great way to say “you got this!”. Despite me not having any friends to include in this app, I love the fact that you can see how far they’ve made it and make your daily steps a friendly competition. I would recommend this app to anyone I know :)

Excellent for Tracking Physical Activity. I used to run 10 miles every other day, but when I got to middle age my doctor told me to stop because it was hurting my feet and knees. So I walk now, and this app helps me keep track of my distances and calories burned daily. It has good graphs to track activity over different time periods. It’s fun to see your activity comparisons on different days, weeks, and months. I enjoy Pacer and recommend it. I haven’t used other activity tracking apps, and am not into any kind of watches for this purpose. I don’t wear watches for any purpose, since I always have my phone to tell time. This app is just right for my activity tracking needs.

Love this app!!. This app tracks how much you walk throughout the day as well as calories burned and distance. It gives you a progress track point where you can see how much you have walked in the last seven days, the last month, the last six months, and the last year. It gives you little medals when you achieve new distances as well as other things. You can add workouts that the app cannot track (treadmill, bike, swim, etc.) and it will estimate calories burned for you. You can join workout groups online and challenges to compete against other users. All around great app, very helpful. Love this! <3

Good weight tracker, and Step counter. Good organization within the app, very user friendly. Buy the app if you really want to get the most out of it. Some features require purchase With that being said the app could be 5 stars but I would look for them to add more workout tutorials, and routines. Also would like to see them give you the ability to track other workouts besides walking & running. For example apps like Runtastic allow you to track calorie burned during strength training, basketball, boxing, ect. If they add features like this in the future I would be impressed. Overall good app, well designed, and helpful in tracking weight-loss and calories burnt. And the few at home workout videos they offer are awesome!

I like Pacer App. This is the only fitness App. I have used but I really am motivated by seeing my accumulated steps daily. The feed back and suggestions for continued improvement are great. Also Pacer Jeff has been very helpful with individualized contact and suggestions. His posts on various aspects of fitness are also helpful. The only suggestion I have is for more targeted choices for users who are over 65 years. The top selection is 50+ but users such as myself (over 70 years) just do not have the stamina for increased fitness to the level assumed for younger people and are just trying to "stay on our feet." But overall this is a good tool for me and I do find it motivating. Pacer Marge

Great for My Needs. First let it be known that I didn't have super high expectations here. I'm too cheap to buy a Fit Bit and I'm really only using this to count my steps… Not using any other features yet. That being said, I'm finding it does a really good job of what I'm using it for. I was really surprised when I initially downloaded it and it gave me information for days prior to when I had it installed. I still haven't figured out how that works! I'm finding it highly accurate (I tested it by counting my steps manually and then comparing) and having my steps counted really helps with my motivation for getting in my daily walking. Very pleased!

56 year old man.. The app has great information for a beginners like myself. It has a educational portion about weight loss with reality. It also has exercise and warm up instruction videos I recommend you try out. I was looking for information for beginners as a 56 year old male for beginners. This app has the best information I have found. One thing I have started is making overnight oatmeal for breakfast to start my day. Before it was coffee until mid afternoon. No it is ready when I wake up with no cooking. It has some nutritional recipes as well. I would like to have access to more. I’m not a gym rat so this app is helping me get started on my own.

A Pretty Good App. As I said in the title, it’s a pretty good app. It mainly keeps track of steps and distance walked and does a good job of keeping track of steps and distance walked. If you are looking for an app to keep track of your steps and/or how far you walk you might want to consider downloading this app. The app asked me to rate it 5 stars but I think they only deserve 4, tops, it’s a pretty basic app and there’s a few things I would change, overall it works well though. To summarize, the title of this review is “A Pretty Good App” and I think that sums it up pretty well. Is it the best app on the App Store? NO! Is it the worst app I’ve ever seen? Also no. Could be better, could be worse, all right app, decent quality, not bad, nothing to write home about, overall, a pretty good app.

Re: Poor customer support. Been using this app for about a month now & I like it a lot. However, I had a recent complaint about the calculation of the total steps. I emailed customer support & was sent an automated response, of course. Then, they sent a survey of their customer support service (really?). I rated them low primarily because the problem w/the app was not fixed for our group. If you choose this app to track your steps, you will be fine. If there is problem however, do not expect much in reference to a response. Also, fix the “my coach message” section. We do not need to constantly see a red number 1 in that section indicating that we have a virtual message. If we hit reset, because we do not want that paid service, make it go away please!

Best app out there. I’ve been using Pacer for years now and I absolutely love the simplicity of it, as well as, the new features. I had the free version for years but recently decided to upgrade to the paid version. Love that it has a Coach helping me along the way. I gained lots of weight during the pandemic (ugh) and small injuries from lack of movement for a little while slowed me down or made me a couch potato. Eek!! My goal is to really put some mileage in this year, especially since I have a 14 wk old boxer puppy. I appreciate the Coach sending messages and encouragement and all the pointers. I like the ease of use on my Apple Watch and my iPhone. Keep up the good work.

Pacer Review. I use it every day and gain the same degree of pleasure from using it that I did six plus (6+) years ago when I first began using it. I credit it to some extent in aiding me with my diet in the realm of exercise every day. In the past six plus (6+) years I have lost just over one-hundred thirty (135) pounds and my exercise is primarily walking in as much as I have a brace on my left leg from my knee to my toes. Thus walking is my best and trying to increase my miles each day is my challenge and Pacer confirms my distance as well as maintaining record of it as well as my routes. I would certainly recommend it to all no matter what your level of exercise is.

Fake Offers and Shopify Payment For Pacer Challenges Not Working. I have notice many red flags regarding this website and fake offers, Your Shopify service for PACER PAYMENT (Challenges) does not work, I can’t paid for anything, I got an error an statement that my location PR is not supported can someone validated this??? In addition, a lifetime subscription for iOS new pacer users appears for $148 but unfortunately I click for 7 days trials… and disappeared, many issues in this website and app, can someone verify this? In addition shopify for pacer payment website are charging automatically via Paypal and no receipt of confirmation was sent to my email address this is also a red flag of fraud, I have to contact my credit card company for the multiple charges by Shopify (Pacer) fraud website. They need to fixed this since they are charging money to the credit card automatically and then a error of location not supported!!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Better then the original app that comes on the iPhone !. This app is awesome it actually works! It does what it says and it does it very good. every single step is counted, all exercising is recorded, and this app is really easy to use! Not like the apple app where you have to figure out how to use it, Also the apple app is hard to figure things out and it’s not accurate at all! Recommend if you really want a good app that will make life changes to you as well as your mind cause you will be confident in every exercise you do! So don’t be afraid to really push hard when your working out! This app can handle it!!!! Great job guys on making this app and making peoples life easier.

Worth your time. I have used the (free version)app, 3-5 (sometimes more) per week, since discovering it in 2020. The “free” version alone is worth using. And will continue as long as it is free. I know there is coaching available, but have not used them. I am not super technical but the UI seams intuitive and relatively easy to use. I listen to podcast/music while using the app. The app will cut in, report your status, and the podcast / music will resume playing following the report. When I review my runs, I can see my route, times, and distance. It is worth it to me. To the developers, good job and please keep up the hard work. I really enjoy using the app.

Favorite tracking app. By far my favorite tracking app! Being a competitive person, the challenges have been a great way to keep me motivated and shocked how far I actually go in a day. Also the fact that you follow along with like minded people in your are or around the world who cheer you on and encourage you to keep going. It’s like having a walking buddy but not having to talk about mindless chitchat. Also with the built in coach and exercises and food tips-it’s just a very well thought out app. It’s kept me motivated and I’ve lost 30 pounds this year and I feel a lot of it had to do with using this app. Pretty sure this is the first app review I’ve ever done, so that’s saying something on its own. THANK YOU!

Great Pedometer and MORE. Pacer is a GREAT app to use for walking, running, exercising, etc. I use it mainly for the pedometer and it has definitely influenced me to push myself to walk faster, farther and longer to top myself each time! The GPS is also wonderful so I can see the exact route (street names, etc) I am taking as I walk, or save and review it later and I can also plan new routes. If you want to pay $, it also has guided workouts. I haven’t used that part of the app yet, so I really can’t comment much on that-but I can imagine it’s pretty good too, based on the usefulness and ease of the rest of the Pacer app. I definitely recommend this app to anyone at any level of exercise ability, from beginner to pro!

I’m in love!!!. Today was my first official day of walking and I couldn’t be happier! I searched through many apps trying to find one that I liked and didn’t have any success until I found this one! I finally talked myself into walking (after internally battling with myself for about 30 minutes) and I feel awesome. The only thing that I can complain about is that the map is a little off. It shows that I walked through houses instead of on the road (if I could show you, I would but I can’t upload pictures onto here obviously). Besides the map issue, I like everything. The amount of things I can do without a subscription is perfect for a beginner like me. I would definitely recommend this app to others!

Does the trick so far. So I’m new to walking regularly & in my 60’s. Tried a different app but after 3 days it was asking for upgrades & money. I searched found this one & so far love it. GPS, time, steps, mileage are really all I’m interested in. It does way more including virtual friend walks etc. I’m content with simple right now. Enjoy saving my routes & challenging myself by time & distance for now. Keep it simple for now. Like anything you can make it whatever you want including paying for upgrades. Love you can keep it free for now & still enjoy. 👍 Addendum: STILL FREE for what I need. No Apple Watch for me. I don’t like electronic trackers on me 24/7. Still love the app!

The absolute best fitness app to have!. I've gained a ton of weight after college due to lack of activity and poor eating habits. I found myself overeating junk food everyday and addicted to sitting on my bum all day. This app, especially the virtual trainer really changed me for the better. I never wanted to deal with the math and planning of creating a well balanced diet and lifestyle but the virtual trainer does it all for me. Anyone can just go out and get fit without the use of an app, but this app makes it so much more rewarding. I enjoy jogging now, and I feel so much more energetic everyday. I've lost 6 pounds In the last week just from following the simple fitness plan that the virtual trainer made for me.

I really like Pacer. I have been using this app for 2 years now. Since then many times I went out walking and forgot my Apple Watch. This app still tracked my activity. Sometimes I missed taking my phone (and this app) with me, but have my Apple Watch on me while walking. This app still tracked my activity through the Watch integration. The pictures I take while I am walking are tagged with the locations on the way. I am able to exchange my activity with my fitness coach, who wanted me to log my walking activity. Overall the app is incredibly useful in tracking my steps, calories, walking maps, etc. all with a cool dashboard. Thank you Pacer👍

Keeps me accountable and motivated. UPDATE: Pacer is great app that keeps getting better. It keeps on motivating, keeps on sparking joy. I also love that it has stood the test of time. ** Update ** I love this app more than ever. Just the clean simplicity of it. So much more accessible than checking steps on my watch. And I like the low-key color scheme. The encouragement alone is worth the annual price of the app. *** Started using this app because I needed to jumpstart my fitness efforts once again, especially as summer begins. I have this app on my home screen and it keeps me reaching for higher “step” goals throughout the day. I’m sure it does even more than what I’m using it for but so far it’s meeting and exceeding expectations.

Good but frustrating at times. I’ve upgraded to premium and have been using the app for a few weeks. There are some excellent aspects to the app, but still room for improvement. No Family Subscription The App Store shoes this as a family sharing app within the App Store page, however none of the subscriptions count once you open the subscriptions settings. This alone has caused us to look at alternatives as my spouse and I like to use the same app. Limited Apple Watch functionality. This is a big miss. Workout cues and activity info are either non existent or in limited form. I’m constantly having to reopen the app on my watch and even then the info is delayed. It’s faster and more informative to just keep the app open on my phone and keep checking it, however, many times I have accidentally paused a workout and didn’t find out until I checked it later. Limited support for hearing impaired. Redesign the watch app to receive workout cues with a tactile response for the cadence would be a huge improvement. Finally, there is no way to completely remove the audio track for a workout. Even after turning audio guidance off in workout settings, it still plays.
