Used to be better. When they allowed individuals to sell on the site. Can’t find anything whiskey anymore. The only stores that list, have ludicrous pricing on allocated items. Dumb.

Great tool. Always shows best price and reviews. Its amazing the difference in price for the exact same wine. Good sort features.

Ok but faulty. Edit: bug described below can be fixed by creating an account, syncing cellar to cloud, reinstalling the app. Based on a very thorough email reply from the developer I’m changing to five stars just for going beyond the call of duty for a free app. Been using this about a year. It seems to have more-or-less the same functionality as other wine apps, and I chose this because of the ad-free experience. The search and recognition function is ok but not spectacular. One complaint is that the app insists on saving photos of labels (and it is awkward to delete them). I’d like to turn that off entirely.. just snap, look up, don’t save. Also recently the app has a bug that does not remove “saved for later” wines from the cellar either when deleted or changed to a star rating (the app creates a second copy with the new rating which then gets deleted if you try to delete the first that still has a flag). Anyway, it’s an ok app.

Must have for every SERIOUS wine lover. The breadth and depth of this app and website is unmatched. Looking for a particular vintage of some obscure Loire producer? If it’s still sold anywhere in the online World, Wine Searcher will tell you! Also, their guide to varietals and regions is a great resource. A+!

Excellent Reference. I use Wine Spectator for overall global wine year ratings but second is this site. It's to the point and informative and non biased. I love that it's NOT full of ads and pop ups too. The other wine apps are lame and riddled w pop ups and ads. Good job guys. As a wine guy in industry I'm happy with this reference tool!

App is limiting. The app forces your hand in what it wants to show you or worse, it limits what it will show. I speak of the search functionality. It works fine in you're looking for Silver Oak, but not a uncommon wine. I have to switch to the web browser version where the search is more free form.

The Best. Every wine drinker or buyer needs this guide. It sets the bar for knowing quality and costs. Even if you are just buying a gift bottle for someone and do not know wine this app is a perfect help. Easy to use and quick.

Easy to use. Perfect for restaurants.. Love this App. I use it primarily at restaurants. But it does well for me as I shop for wine at local liquor stores as well.

Bad value. $10 a month, and the premium version still does not provide notes from pro reviews from the likes of Jancis Robinson or Tim Atkins Edit: just to follow up on the developers response, bizarrely, they are mistaken. Jancis Robinson and Tim Atkins scores are available on the pro version, but any notes or commentary on a given wine are still behind a paywall on both of critics individual websites. You pay ~$120 a year and don’t get to read what 2 of the worlds best wine critics (and arguably the worlds leading critic in JR), have to say about a wine. For that kind of money, for an app, a person should not have to pay for any additional wine critic notes.

Excellent wine app. I am usually able to locate the wine I am looking for, cost, availability and information on quality.

SJ Law. This app is really simple to use. I am astounded that it has so many wines at retail and auction across the US and international borders. It is extremely useful if you have a client or customer that would appreciate a certain wine for the Holidays. You can always find it here.

John a. I picked this app because it mentioned that it was the best for finding bargain wines. It gave a total of 10 and almost all of Them are about $20. I’m hoping they offer new ones often since I’ve only seen 10 listed initially. $20 can be a bargain but they better be real good ....

Fabulous and a valuable asset!!. Part of my everyday!! No collector should be without!!! I live by it and could never be without it and I have over 3,000 bottles of wine in my cellar with a value of over $825,000.

Your Best Weapon Against High Prices. I have been using this app for the last couple of years, and, I have to say, it has saved me enough times from overpaying for alcohol that it has paid for itself. Never get gauged again.

Wrong wines. I take a picture of the wine label and it is coming up with the wrong brand and some times wrong color. If you don’t have it in your database, I would rather you say that you don’t have it. Then give me something I didn’t take a picture of. The one’s you do get right I do appreciate. And I do appreciate the price listed. It is pretty accurate with the price I paid.

Wasted time shopping recommendations. I was looking for some whiskey and they had several sites showing they ship to Florida. They would not ship and had really poor website performance- cutting out and just freezing. I spent over 30 minutes trying to buy to no avail from the top 3 recommendations.

Reliable advice. How many times do I buy an expensive wine without consulting Wine-Searcher? Never.

Great App For All Spirits. Love this app because you can also rate beers and hard liquors (spirits). One request: please add option for a wish list for wines/spirits that one wants to eventually buy but isn’t yet part of collection/wine cellar. Thank you!

Finding the last bottle in the world for sale. The Pro version of this app searches so many sites around the world that you can find some amazing bottles that can be shipped to you. It is where you can find another bottle of something that you have had that you want to find again. I found the last bottle in the world of the best cognac that I have ever had for sale- better than Louis XIII and is a high proof single vintage older than 150 yrs old cognac. Can’t tell you what is is because I am still looking for another bottle. So good that I bought 5 bottles after my first taste almost 20 years ago. Wine-Searcher is the go to place for finding the bottle that you want.

Not all retailers. I had been using this app for numerous years now and it been my go to when looking for a particular bottle. It’s been a god send when especially when I’m out of my area and don't know the local stores.

Fantastic. I live in Upstate NY, and our stores have a weird mix of offbeat/regional and very mainstream wines ... this is an easy way to check and see if my locals carry the wine I’m interested in .... and of course the price comparison is handy. I will definitely consult before I hop in the car now. As far as I have seen, the coverage is accurate and comprehensive.

And the oscar goes to.... Wine-Searcher’s app claims the prize for the premier wine app by a stretch. Nothing comes close to being this comprehensive, this plugged in, and super intuitive and user friendly. Bravo!

Great product. I use it to look up wines

Smooth with balanced acidity. This wine has the perfect balance of butter and acidity with complex vanilla, pear and who knows what else because i am just enjoying it to death

Wine searcher app. I use it constantly to check best price nationally compared to price in store I am shopping in for a particular wine. If I find a wine at, close to or better yet below the lowest price on wine searcher I know it’s a good deal. I also use it to find wines in my area I want to buy and pick up to avoid shipping costs. The information is highly accurate. How they collect so much detailed info I have no idea . Wine searcher has info on almost every major wine seller eg K&L, wine exchange, hi-time, Zachys, total wine. There are a few exceptions . Costco is not on wine searcher. Well worth the nominal cost to be a pro user. It gives every listing in their database. Kudos to wine searcher team . I think it is an Australian company.

Very informative and helps why and where to buy. Good and well structured information helps to make decisions of why to buy, where and at what price.

Seamless experience. After using the app for a couple years I just made my first purchase from a vendor in my home state. Very easy, got a call regarding a couple bottles that were not available. They adjusted the order and it arrived on time as promised.

Wine-Searcher. Excellent app. I would improve by listing the producer on the “wine details”. Would be useful to tap on the producer name to read its history and best products

Ok. I just started using the free version. It found 3 saki’s by scanning the labels on the first go. The picture comes out off center but that’s no big deal and is an easy fix for developers. For free it’s excellent. The pro version at 5.99 a month??? Seriously? Just so you don’t have to type the wines name into google? I’d pay $6 once but that’s it.

Wine. Great for finding what you need

Not Terribly Oz Friendly. Does a wonderful job of identifying the wine you’re drinking, but not so great at directing you to someplace local where you can buy it... at least in ‘Straya.

Good overall. Nice app however the store view is missing the grape filter.

Great app but.... Really good app! I rate all of the wines I have tried into the app so I can recall which ones I do and don’t like. There is one issue however and that is the fact that many are misspelt or the labels are outdated on the app. Each time I come across one I email Customer Support and ask them to update which they assure me they do... but the changes apparently only show on their website and not the app itself. When will the app sync with the website? Thank you.

Fantastic app. Why the 1 star... because every time I opened the app a reminder popped up to rate the app, which I had to keep on tapping "no thanks"!

Suppresses information. This app was useful before the last upgrade, now if I try to look for a particular wine it withholds the search results and tries to force you to a paid subscribe Pro version to see the rest of the search results. I can get the results from Google. Big fail DELETING App.

Must have App!. If you are interested in Australian and international wine then this is a must have app. I subscribe to the Pro version and easily cover the cost every year by finding the cheapest places to buy wine. The Pro version also gives you access to wine ratings from additional sources. I used the app seamlessly when I was recently in Italy. Easily worth the cost of upgrading to Pro. Highly recommended.

Indispensable tool. By far the most comprehensive database of wines from every major wine region across the globe - and a good smattering of secondary regions for good measure. Easy to use, just enough depth of info, usually pretty intuitive in picking the correct wine when mis-spelt. Overall, impressive, up-to-date and indispensable if you're serious about stretching your wine dollar further.

Needs better business model. Hiding wine searches behind a paywall is a terrible idea for this app. Would be better if they took a slice of sales or charged wine vendors. This is annoying and off-putting. App seems good otherwise.

Best Wine App. The free version is really helpful, but the Pro Version is full of the best information you can get on wine, wine making and buying. I used it extensively in both Europe and Australia. Worth 10 times the cost, especially in a French restaurant, where you have no idea what wine is in the bottle as the French (mostly) don't put that on the label. What am I doing wrong?. I just downloaded this app hopefully to do two things for me. 1. What prices range it’s selling for in my area 2. What stores are selling the label I took a picture of. I purchased two bottles locally here in Nashville that I used for my test. When I clicked on “ Shops”, it displayed shops across the country but nothing locally. I did enabled the app to use my location when using the app! So, so fare it’s useless because it didn’t provide me what I wanted....

Changing search regions. How do you change search regions on the Pro app? I’m stuck searching USA. This app isn’t user friendly.

Availability of Listed Wines Inaccurate. Too many wines shown as in stock at store end up being out of stock or more expensive than listed on original page.

Waste of money. I hope it’s better for other spirits and wine then it is for bourbon. Not very user friendly and the info it contains is lacking.

Search doesn’t work. Search for stores regardless of filter or search criteria (ie 50 miles of your zip) return the same 900+ results. Totally useless.

This app is garbage..... Any app I have to download, create an account, delete, re-download and sign into is still alpha at best. Should not have been released.

The website is great, but has become unusable. I love the website, helps me with my job as a wine purchaser, but the app has completely locked me out and declared I am a robot with no way to resolve the problem.

Worst app ever. I purchased the pro version. I performed a red wine search under $20 near my location and the search results were wines $70 and above. What good is filling in a filter for searches if it is ignored. I also searched for red wines by critic Robert Parker and got zero results and a server error. Any other critic also got the same results and error. Useless app, I requested a refund but likely won’t get the $70 annual subscription back that I just paid for 10 minutes ago. Save your money and avoid this app.
