Apps offer the benefit of interaction, which means you’re far more likely to remember a concept you engage with rather than one you’ve only read about.

Take your NREMT® studies with you, no matter where life takes you.

Amazing!. I’ve been an EMT Basic For 12 years. I let my very expire while on maternity leave. Recently re-certed. Out of ALL the books, study temples, apps, ect. This app takes the cake! I got the one time pay of $15 for the life subscription and it’s worth every penny. You have full control over the content. It tells you why your answer was wrong AND why your answer was right! This is a great study tool for newbies but also a great knowledge refresher for veterans in the field! Very well done!

Very Helpful. I started using this app the day after I finished my class, I had a week until the registry. 15 dollars seemed a bit expensive to me to unlock the full version, but let me tell you it’s totally worth it. I got through about 600 of the 800 questions in that week and they were extremely helpful. Not only are they very similar to the registry questions, but it also provides a rationale to each answer with the page reference in the book. This app helped me pass my registry on the first try and I recommend it to anyone who plans on becoming an EMT.

Just ok. The questions are good but it keeps repeating the same questions over and over. The app is really slow to load and respond. And one day out of nowhere, all of my progress and saved questions were just erased and I was back to the beginning. This was a setback in my studying as I had flagged ~ 200 questions I wanted to revisit, and didn’t want to spend time going through all the other ones I knew. I contacted the app developers and they said sorry, nothing they can do, it’s just a bug that they’re working through. Disappointing considering the high price of this app. I’d try a different one if I could do it over again

Shouting from the rooftops!. Thank you thank you thank you Pocket Prep! This app was a life saver when it came to studying for my written EMT test. I loved the daily questions and the actual practice questions! Every single question had an explanation for why each wrong answer was wrong and why the right answer was right. It helped me to learn not just the right and wrong answer but WHY it was right or wrong. I did have some glitches over this last week which just so happened to be test week ( hence the 4 stars) but I cannot day enough good things about this. I’ll definitely being looking for the paramedic version the day classes start. Ps, I PASSED 👌🏼

Helpful Practice. I used this app in conjunction with a few other items (EMT Prep, EMT Crash Course book). It’s been about 6 months since I finished my EMT class and I just got around to taking the test. With the help of this app, I was able to pass. The questions will repeat after a while, but I found it helpful in really cementing the topics. The app will show you which areas to focus on and give detailed explanations regarding each question. Definitely helpful if you need to study on the go.

Many issues and bugs with this App. I purchased the full version of this application for $25 and it had been overall helpful for studying in the beginning but there are so many bugs and persistent freezing the more I use it. Some functionality of this app freezes when you try to use it such as the exam readiness feature, the question of the day, and even just the dashboard. I have tried refreshing the app and even restarting my phone and it still lags and freezes. I am supposed to take the NREMT in a week and I have to study according to when the app actually functions properly. In addition, the contact me function on there website doesn’t even work so I can not even contact them for assistance!!!

Best NREMT Prep Guide!. Definitely worth it!! It's one of the best prep guides I have ever used, it definitely helped me pass my NREMT. The questions provided are about the same level of rigor as the actual exam, and I couldn't find questions of this caliber anywhere else on the internet. I also love the explanations given for each question and answer--they gave me so much new knowledge that I wouldn't have had otherwise, and I think that really helped with the NREMT. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing!. Here was my predicament 6 days out from my EMT exam: took the class 6 months ago, hadn’t touched the material in a while, and the course I took was an accelerated one so I missed some stuff here and there. Downloaded this app and got the 400 question plan and coupled with the crash course EMT book, just went on an absolute tear up until the exam and passed on my first attempt! This app helped so much to prepare and helped me build my confidence for it. Highly recommend!

Decent. The presentation, content and ease of use is all great, but the app is painstakingly terrible. Frequently crashing or freezing. You’ll get nearly through a practice exam and the app will go into neurogenic shock. Thankfully, if you own a computer, you can access your profile on an internet browser. Problems were nearly nonexistent. While utilizing the app to test your knowledge, be sure to read and understand the narratives. Those who claim the actual NREMT test is nearly identical, are full of it. Know your medical terminology!

Great study guide. Awesome study guide, questions were very similar to what was on the NREMT computer adaptive test. Great flexibility to be able to adjust how many questions are in a practice test, when the correct answers are shown, and mark which areas need improvement. The section I needed work on in the study guide ended up being the most difficult area on the test, thankfully I had studied enough with this guide that I figured out the right answer and passed on my first try in about 60 questions!

Awesome App Awesome Customer Service. So I had purchased the premium version of the app because I hear it is the best one out there and then my account wouldn’t let me upgrade and get the premium version benefits that I had already paid for with my credit card. I contacted app support (specifically Peter), and within a day he emailed me, and even after me not seeing it for a couple days, and then fixed the problem within literally a half hour of me contacting him back explaining my situation. Honestly shocked at this level of customer service in this day in age; aside from the high-quality content in the app itself!!

PASS the registry with this app. This app was a life saver for me! I didn’t pass the national registry the first time I took it. I found pocket prep as an alternative way to study and it is the best study app ever. I passed the second time I took the exam because of this app. I highly recommend buying the full version of the app. It comes with 800 practice questions very similar to the format of the actual exam and explains in detail the answer choices behind every question if you choose incorrectly. You can take small exams focusing on one or more subjects and the app keeps your progress saved. The only reason I’m giving the app a 4/5 stars is because it crashes occasionally.

BUY IT, TRY IT, it’s WORTH IT!. This is probably the best budget friendly investment you could make in studying for the NREMT. With how fast paced and on the go life is, pocket prep offers a way to study on your electronic devices that will help improve your score and your knowledge of the material. It provides in depth explanations for answers, on why it is correct and to why it is wrong. I also love that it kept track of my progress and gave me an idea on what areas I needed to improve in and what areas I was strongest in. I also loved that the questions, scenarios, and explanations came from my EMT textbook, so I knew they weren’t just drawn out of a random generator. I can honestly say that this will help you pass with flying colors (Just took my test and passed) and with confidence! I say BUY IT, TRY IT, and find that it is WORTH IT!

Great app when it works. I will start with the good. The app has 800 questions that prepare you to take the NREMT and breaks it down into categories for you to study, which is great. You can track your progress, get the answers to questions with definitions of why you got it wrong. All that is great for an on the go study guide, BUT, and a HUGE but... THIS APP IS TOO UNSTABLE! For the amount of money you pay, I expect this app to work flawlessly, or at least the majority of the time. I’ve had the app one week and have had to uninstall and reinstall multiple times; my scores randomly reset; You randomly can’t use report builder, and scores for previous tests randomly disappear. Super frustrating, especially when you take your test in one more week and really are using this as a study tool! If the developers can fix the bugs, this would be a perfect app.

Content is fantastic, app needs a little work. I have very much enjoyed the content of this app, questions are situational and challenging and content is accurate. The exam builder option is great, seeing a percentage metric based on my responses is a wonderful tool. There are some extreme glitches within the app that I’m hoping can be fixed whenever the next update becomes available. They’re pretty frustrating for paying $25 for this app. Most of the time I have to close out and restart the app to resolve the problem. When clicking on the “Quick Ten Exam” option I frequently get a error box that opens prompting me to either click OK or Refresh: “Cannot find Questions”. And I have trouble with the Question of the Day (QOTD) loading...I often get a dialog box that opens that says “Loading Question if the Day...” with a spinning circle of death above it that requires I close out and reopen the app. On 2 occasions now, I have been prompted to enter my email and password as if I’m a new user(?) prior to loading all of my information. Exam readiness section worked the first day I downloaded the app but not after that.

Good tool for NREMT Prep. The first time I took the EMT basic exam I failed 2 of the 5 sections. I then decided I needed to study for the exam ( I did this in the wrong order, don’t do what I did). I bought the full version of pocket prep and discovered after going through all 800 questions, that the course I took was way out of date and teaching incorrect methods. This app helped me learn correct practices for the EMT exam and I passed the second time. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because the app itself is slow to respond and crashes often. Also on my national exam there were ~8 questions on sickle cell anemia, which wasn’t covered in my class or this exam. All I knew about it was what I retained from 8th grade biology (very little). Overall, a very useful app that helped me get a PASS! Thanks pocket prep!

Disappointing Fun. I genuinely enjoyed the format of the questions and what they asked. I bought the ultimate pass for 25$ because of the money back guarantee as a safety net. The app itself is really buggy and laggy though making things annoying. But the worst part is the none of the questions I was asked in the app where on the NREMT. Over 800 questions and not a single. I went to go get a refund but than I’m told I had to have atleast 80% on my quiz overall scores. I wasn’t told that originally. I ended with 70% So I spent my money, for a laggy app that kept didn’t help me at all and who’s refund policy wasn’t straight forward. Not very fun

Worth the money. I rarely leave reviews unless I think it will truly help. I purchased this app right before I was getting ready to re certify my national registry and this app helped me pass no problem the test portion. Then this past week after not taking an EMT class in 3.5 years and studying using this app I re took the national registry exam. I felt prepared thanks to how the questions are phrased on here is very similar style to the exam. Thanks to this app helping me study I passed it again! And now I will be able to get my EMT transferred to NY which will help my job!!!!! This app was 100% worth it.

Great way to stay on track with your studying!. I loved the reminder to study each day, and the 10-question quizzes were easy to do multiple times throughout the day! I downloaded the app during the last month of my EMT course, and took the exam four weeks after finishing my class, which was yesterday. Got my results this morning, and passed on my first attempt! The 800 questions were a great way to identify my weak areas, and I used my text book to study more in those areas. This app was a perfect compliment to the class and book! And very convenient to use!!!

Great study tool. But don’t use this as you’re only study tool.. I can finally say I passed my emt registry. This app played a huge role into it, but it was only after using practice emt test with this app. I seen real results after using both because they go hand-in-hand. This app gives you the information and tools to learn while using the practice registry tests will give you the ability to not get psyched out during the long process of taking the actual registry test. Overall I recommend this app because it’s really helpful and the app developers give regular updates to make it better for everyone. Thank you for your time and good luck on registry.

Must Have!!!. PocketPrep definitely helped me prepare for the NREMT Exam. I took my exam today and passed😅😅😅. I strongly recommend biting the bullet and buying the full version with 800 practice questions. It’s definitely worth the money and it helped me develop my test-taking strategies. However, a large portion of the questions on PocketPrep were situational which wasn’t the case on my exam. For example, a question on the app might say (and i am totally making this question up) “A 30 year old female patient presents with a sudden onset of dyspnea. Her symptoms are blah blah blah, Hx of blah blah blah. Your first action should be...” and then you would have a series of answer choices. My test today, though, didn’t have a lot of those so don’t expect NREMT to be exactly like the questions on this app. That said, PocketPrep is still a lifesaving app that I would swear by. I felt infinitely more prepared for my test today and I give the makers of this app my deepest thanks!!! I’ll definitely be using PocketPrep for my NCLEX next year!!! The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was because the app starting glitching and crashing as I got closer to completing all the questions, but that’s just a minor issue that shouldn’t deter you from using this app. Thank you, PocketPrep!!!

Extremely Helpful App!. I bought this app about two weeks before taking the NREMT cognitive exam. I had taken the NREMT cognitive exam once before in 2012, but since then I had let it expire. I can tell you that buying the 800 question version of this app helped me immensely with passing the exam. The scenario questions are good, and the explanations for each question are even better. Be sure you review these explanations thoroughly, because learning why you missed a question and what each answer option actually means is vital. In my opinion, the information from the explanations, including the explanations to the wrong answers, were more important than the questions themselves. This is because the questions I had on the NREMT cognitive exam were not very similar to the questions in the app. Because of the difference in question structure, I rated the app 4 out of 5 stars. This app, used in conjunction with an EMT book and possibly another review source will help you pass the NREMT without a doubt. Also, I didn’t experience any of the bugs that other people have been complaining about on my iPhone 7.

Wonderful App!. I took a hybrid course in 8 weeks for EMT. The material was very fast paced, and I passsd the initial course, but was grossly underprepared for the NREMT. I bought the full version of this app after my first failure, and went through the set of 800 questions 4 times completely. I flagged the ones I got wrong, and reviewed them at the end. I ended the last time with an 87% overall. I passed the second time and it cut off at 70! I credit it to the material in the app. The questions are NOT phrased the same as the NREMT. Not directly anyway. However, almost all the material from the exam was covered in this app! If you dedicate to studying and know why the questions are right or wrong, you will pass!

Worth it!. This app was a big help with my chapter quizzes and the final for my EMT program. My course was using the Jones and Bartlett 11th edition Emergency Care Responder book. I purchased this app after my midterm exam and my grades shot up drastically. I passed program and my national exam. I will say that the questions on the national exam were nothing like what I’ve seen in my program or on this app. The question were very vague and in depth. But I did pass on my first attempt so the app must have helped. This app definitely calmed my nerves as I kept taking practice tests all the time. Worth the money,

Must have for NREMT exam. I recently finished my EMT basics course at my local college, and in getting ready to take my National Registry exam I searched for a good study guide to help practice exam questions. This populated first on the list and for a very good reason, with 800 questions to create exams from (slider allows you to choose amount of questions you prefer) you are quizzed on every topic on the NREMT. Furthermore, you can track your progress, identify which areas you are proficient/delinquent in and focus on those specific areas. An added benefit is that if you complete all 800 questions and fail to pass the NREMT exam on your first try you get the app price refunded, so you have nothing to lose. I purchased the app one week prior to my exam and passed it easily, I felt very confident going in to the exam and what to expect. As a side note, as mentioned above, I did take an EMT course prior to using the app and used the app in conjunction with my course book for reference, so please don’t assume that just by using the app you will pass the NREMT. That being said, I am very pleased with this app and will utilize it for my Intermidiate and Paramedic level National Registry exams as well.

Fully prepared - Passed my first try. Just wanted to write this on behalf of my personal experience with pocket prep. This app helped me pass my national on my first try with absolute ease. The questions are worded almost identical to the national registry. My method for studying was that I initiated 100 question tests and wrote down the questions I missed so as to not forget them again. I learned what sections I needed the most work in and studied them in my book. This is a phenomenal app and I would highly recommend it for anyone aspiring to become an EMT and pass their National Registry first try. I will continue to use this app to stay sharp in the future

Passed 2 times over 2 years. I downloaded this app after I finished my EMT course in 2017 and took the NREMT for the first time. It helped immensely, it's what I used to study solely. It's convenient and covers everything on the NREMT. 2 years later I've been an active EMT and used it to study for my recert last minute . I only had 2 weeks til my NREMT and I just studied a little a day between calls ( bc u know nremt differs from in field.) lol but ya I passed again w minimal effort bc this app is just so effective and amazing :) really really recommend!!

Thanks, Pocket Prep!. One of the biggest problems I had studying for the NREMT exam was finding practice problems that were comparable to the ones on the actual test. After failing my first attempt I stumbled upon this app and it was the best thing that could've happened to me. The price tag on the full version was a bit hard to swallow at first but the 800 questions of quality and realistic practice, the ability to track progress in each content area, and the convenient and portable nature of the app helped me to pass the test in 70 questions on my second attempt. Give it a shot!

I passed because of this app. Emt pocket prep prepared me for the test for sure. It’s so easy to use and it’s extremely useful. I bought 400 quests for about 15 or 20 ( I don’t really remember but it was not over $20) and I studied all of them. I horribly failed the NREMT-E or -B test the first time I took it bc I didn’t study, and honestly I hate studying. But this app makes it so easy and I promise it’s worth it to get that letter saying you passed the RNEMT CBT. If you wanna pass that test, get this app and buy some question and I promise you won’t regret it.

We got it! 🙌. This app was definitely a life saver. It was some pretty hectic months, where I couldn’t be bringing my book to be studying or a notebook for notes or anything. Turns out I didn’t need them. I only studied with the app wherever and whenever o could, and today I passed my exam. The premium version is not expensive and it’s totally worth it. This app had some question that wouldn’t have been on the book, and it’s what actually saved me. I strongly recommend the premium version. Thank you Pocket Prep!

Questions repeat if you pay for upgrade. The app is a great studying tool, the explanations are very clear and very helpful, it breaks everything down into categories which is extremely helpful. I paid the $20 for the upgraded version. The only thing that bothers me is that you don’t get 500 DIFFERENT questions, the questions repeat. If you’re gonna charge someone for 500 questions, it should be 500 different ones. I haven’t taken the NREMT cognitive exam yet, but these questions did help with my final for the class so I expect they’ll help for my cognitive exam as well

Be careful. I took the NREMT yesterday (Jan 5, 2019) and the questions in this app are WAY easier than what you get on the real thing. It's still a helpful app but I highly recommend not to rely too much on it. I'd say, if you struggle with the questions in this app then you're not ready for the NREMT. If you do well with the questions in this app like me (i had consistent 90% averages) then you need to be cautious and continue being diligent with your studying! What I really did NOT like about this app is that the same questions repeated quite a bit, even questions I answered correctly from the get-go. (We're paying for the number of questions! Plus it wastes time) What I DO like a lot about this app are the explanations with detailed references (book, chapter, page). That way you can easily go back to the book and see for yourself what you missed.

IT’S A MUST. When I first downloaded the free version, I instantly knew this app would be a great benefit to me as an EMT student since it had so many questions that were situational and knowledgeable. So I immediately bought the full version and it is worth every penny. I passed my NREMT and this app couldn’t have better prepared me because it also reflects your best/worst subjects so you knew what to review on. I highly recommend and you can always restore your purchase afterwards. :)

Good for Learning. Bad for Test.. The questions on the actual NREMT exam are constructed different. They are way harder than the questions on here. Once the app told me I answered all 800 questions I refreshed and answered them all again in each subject until I mastered them all and got at least a 97% in each subject. I had 795 questions answered right and went in a failed my exam. The 100% pass guarantee is not true. I would suggest definitely studying your book as much as you can. I have learned A LOT from being in my app nearly 24/7 over the last 3 weeks but not enough to pass the exam. There was stuff in that exam I had never heard of.

App is OKAY, don’t solely depend on it. This app is just a study tool. I used it to study for my NREMT recertify by exam because I did not want to do all of the continuing education hours in the traditional method. I passed but would not attribute my success to this app. Know your material first and use this to test yourself. It is a helpful study tool as it explains its answers but It often freezes, lags, and sometimes crashes. My flagged questions would also disappear rendering the function completely useless. If you solely depend on this app to study for the NREMT you’re going to have a bad time. Otherwise I would recommend it still to brush up on basic knowledge

Study hard, pass easily!!. I took an expedited course that was pretty intense as far as how fast things were taught. There was a lot of self study. A classmate suggested this app and I got it. I like how it allows you to review the question whether you get it correct or wrong. I ended up taking about 30 questions a day using the quick test button. That’s enough to get your brain working. The day before the NREMT I just stopped studying and cleared my head. I checked in to the testing center and passed the first time. I can say that this app definitely gets you ready to pass. Good luck!!

Key to my Passing National Registry. I used this application to prepare for my national registry test & not sure if I would have passed without it. I relied on my text book & class notes to a large degree, but this app is so convenient I used it at least 2-3 times a day to help apply my class room knowledge to a multiple question formats. Explanations were extremely helpful, especially for the questions I missed. Being able to tailor a test to specific subject areas was very beneficial to work on my weaknesses.

Thank you, Pocket Prep!. Took my NREMT Cognitive (Written) Test today and, while my stomach was in complete knots waiting for the results, I just found out that I passed and am now nationally registered. I just have to say, this app is/was an absolute lifesaver. The question format is extremely similar to that of the official test, and you can't beat the explanations provided with each question. They even cited where the answers came from, which just happened to be from the same book and edition my class used. There are plenty of questions and they cover just about anything you might see on the test. I used this app for about an hour every day for the week before my test, and it really helped with my confidence walking into the exam. That test is no joke, but if you are prepared, you can trust your gut. I definitely suggest using this app to help keep your knowledge fresh between your course completion and your exam date. I would recommend this app to anyone who is about to take the test. I'd also like to add that I did NOT experience any of the glitches that other reviewers mentioned. Thank you, thank you, thank you, EMT Pocket Prep.

Best Decision I’ve Ever Made. I took the NREMT test January 2018 and failed it. Out of the five categories, I did not pass a single one. The day after I found out I failed, I downloaded this app and paid for the premium version (SO WORTH IT)! I retook my NREMT Test in April and I PASSED! I give all of my kudos to this app who helped me go from failing all five categories to passing all five categories! Thank you Pocket prep!! (Another extremely helpful tool is the EMT flash card book by Jeffrey Lindsey. This book was another saving grace of mine!)

Almost Perfect. I just took my NREMT exam yesterday, and PocketPrep was a huge help in preparing me! When I was going through the questions, the explanations for each of the answers were extremely helpful, and helped me to understand exactly why an answer was wrong or right. The only reason why I give the app 4 stars is that I wish there was a way to filter out the questions you’ve already done - I understand that repetition is helpful, but as someone who bought the app close to her exam I would have liked to be able to fly through all the questions at least once. Thank you PocketPrep!

Worth the money if you want to pass!!. I was kinda skeptical about paying for it at first because it seemed a little too good to be true for the price and what all comes with it but I recommend this to literally anyone taking their registry.. it helped me so much and I honestly think this is part of the reason I passed. Not only because it keeps track of what your weak spots are but because it gets you thinking in the same way the test will and helps test anxiety like no other!! Super super happy with this app!!

If you’re on the go, purchase this to prepare yourself for the nationals!. I worked at a restaurant at least 45-50 hours a week and whenever I had the chance to study, I would use this app and whenever I had the chance to study my book I would because it’s always good to get a feel of the book and online testing taking preparation. Depending on how confident you are, especially since I have test taking anxiety, i made sure i reviewed this app and the books before my nationals. This app made it a lot easier to pass my exam!!! Take your time and breath.

Love the app but has lots of technical bugs. As far as study tools go for EMT review, this is the best one by far. The app features close to a thousand questions (if you get the premium version) with full breakdowns of every question with why the answer is correct as well as why the other options were incorrect. Definitely helpful and I feel much more confident in my knowledge due to this app. The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is due to the software being buggy. I’ve been logged out many times randomly and as of recently I have trouble with the app being slow and freezing. In the exam builder portion I have troubles with the screen where you select which Units you will be quizzed on not loading properly and making it unable to choose any of the options and not allow me to take anything other than the Quick 10 exam. This problem only started in the past few weeks and I’ve had the app for months. I hope this doesn’t turn anyone away because it’s a great tool but it’s been slightly buggy recently

Good way to study. Buggy app though.. I’ve been using this app for a while now. Overall it stays up to date with the latest information on the NREMT exam. My only complaint is that it will randomly crash on me when I try to start it up. Or it’ll be supper slow to load everything up. It’s also overheated my phone before when it was the only app running, and yes I restart my phone and I keep it updated. I have paid for the entire thing. Overalls it is a great app. I only gave it 3 stars because of how buggy it is. But if you are wanting to be an EMT I strongly suggest you download the app. But be warned that there are sometimes where you will need to be “patient” with this app. Yes that was me trying to make a medical pun... I’m aware that it was not funny. Good luck to those who also desire to be an EMT. :) Highkey use your book and people more though. They more helpful. But this isn’t bad either. :p

Passed on first try. I got this app as a cheap way to prepare for the NREMT. Studied all 800 questions over about two weeks and repeated some of them and reviewed what I got wrong. The explanation really help you learn and some of the questions were exactly the same as the ones on the exam. To relieve anyone a little bit about statistics and how you’re doing. I heard you need a 70% to pass. After 800 questions I averaged around a 71% on the app (and I retook a few quizzes). Taking the actual exam, 82 questions and an hour later: I passed first try. This app really does help if you’re willing to put a little bit of time into it!

Two words: Worth it. I did a ton of research on different study materials for the NREMT and this one was the best rated/reviewed. I started with the trial, then did the cheapest upgrade. I completed all questions a few weeks before my test so I decided to upgrade to Ultimate to get more practice. I truly believe this app helped me pass the exam on my first try, getting cut off at question 70. Disclaimer: these are not exactly the same questions you will get on the exam because it CAN’T be. However, the questions are built similarly to the registry’s questions and it will help you learn how to answer them. I have recommended this app to all of the students who were in my class and highly recommend it for anyone who is taking it in the future. I will come back to this app when I go to school for Paramedic. Thank you!

Passed:). I never leave reviews for anything but this app is truest worth every cent. Took the NREMT without studying and failed, so I bought this app and the next time I passed:) Studied and practiced all 800 questions till I got them right. This app was very helpful and it basically taught me all the vocab I needed to know - only downfall is that the format of the questions on NREMT are very different. This app made me pass 100% but make sure you read tips on test taking skills for NREMT - questions can be very tricky. Key words are important and this app covers all the info you need to know. I’m now going to purchase the NCLEX for RN app as well!!

Not well structured. My biggest issue right now is that I keep getting the same questions. Sometimes I will get a question twice during the same practice exam. I had 4 repeat questions during a 90 question practice exam with all topics selected. If anything this app needs more options in settings. I would love for there to be an option to get only new questions (of the 800 they offer). I would also love to take a practice exam just of questions I have answered incorrectly in the past. I have understood the explanations given and have retained this new information. I’ve recently finished my EMT Basic course and paid for the $25 version of this app as a study tool. My exam is in a few days, and if this app is so good I don’t want to feel like I am wasting my time answering questions that I’ve answered correctly 5 or 6 times already. It’s good- but it feels like it’s the only game in-town.

Helped me pass my NREMT. After taking my EMT course I had a waiting period of roughly a week and a half to obtain my course completion from my school due to the scheduling of my ambulance ride alongs. Sitting down going through my notes and going through my book were not really cutting it for me and I needed something more challenging to shake my brain back up to get back in to test taking mode. This app really helped and the questions are pretty similar to the registry test. The price tag is a little hard to swallow for an app but not having to pay $80 to retest made it worth it and I have a resource I can continue to go back to to keep my skills up to par.

Good, but misses material. I just took my state exam (NC) and was able to pass using this app as a study guide. However, there weren’t any questions or even a category for patients with special needs. My exam consisted of several questions regarding stomas, VADs, and other special patient considerations. Other than that, all the questions and categories were great and the feedback with different sections really helped! I didn’t get anything below an 85 on every section on my state exam (besides the aforementioned special needs patients).

Good. Amazing, didn't know there was an app like it!

Ease of use. Well designed! - Easy to use layout - at a glance progress tracking - deeper explanations of all answer options - question of the day! I’d definitely recommend this app as a study tool

Persistent teacher. In my experience this app is very good. It refreshed a lot of stagnant knowledge and has a variety of questions. It explains clearly the correct answer and why and has positive reinforcement when you are correct. The only downside is the question bank isn't overly large. When I did the test over ten times I came across a lot of questions I had already answered. Other then that it's like a persistent teacher that wants you to do well and won't stop untill your getting 100%.

Virtual study buddy. I love this app, but it keeps crashing and freezing while I take my quizzes. When I try to look at my “Areas of Improvement” page, it freezes and I have to restart the app or log out in order for it to show me my progress. Overall great app, helped me boost my knowledge on my weak points. Just hate that it crashes. Please fix?

Prepping for the written. Currently using this app to study for NREMT I have in about 3 weeks (closest date available in my area) i can say I feel more confident about taking the test because of this app and it helped me brush up on a lot of stuff I’m using it everyday minimum 100 questions,I will post another review after I take the test I’m confident I will pass,,,,,,,,,,?,,,,,,updating this review this app is the reason I passed!!!! the NREMT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great content, some bugs. UPDATE: Immediately after leaving the below review I opened the app and it logged me out and cleared out all of my test history. I was able to restore the purchase, but every prep I had done over the past 6 months was gone. Dropping to 3 stars for that bizarre issue. I started using this app prior to taking my EMT class. I found the content and material to be a great prep for what we learned, and I feel ready for the NREMT test. The one downside is that it has the idea of a Question of the Day - but it takes a long time to load it, and you can’t do anything while it’s loading. So when I want to bring the app up to do a quick study, I end up having to sit there and wait for the QOTD to load so I can get past it. All in all well worth it for the content. Just wish they’d disable the QOTD.

Alright. The app definitely helps prepare you for exams and the countdown option for the exam is great. I came across issues after my exam when it would pop up asking for the QOTD but it wouldn’t allow me to do any. I had to reset the app and it still gave me trouble for another several months before it randomly started working again.

BUY IT!!. With out a dout the most successful tool i had at my fingertips.....helped with critical thinking, learning, always reminds you of studying.....giving feedback on answers with page numbers......and the fact that it grades you and gives a percentage of your knowledge to each section helps......this helped me pass and hopefully it helps you too!!!!

Helpful. I’m currently in an emt class, and this app is very helpful. Since I’m not all the way through the class there’s still things we haven’t covered that I dont know the answer to, but the app shows what I need to work on, which is awesome, definitely worth the $15 if you take the class and becoming an emt seriously!

Well, I passed. I tried the free version for a couple of days, doing the questions of the day and quick 10 question exams. I decided to spend the $25 and go for the full version. Man was it worth it. It was nice to be able to have a mobile testing application to do questions wherever and whenever I wanted. You get 800 questions with the full version and I highly suggest that you do them all before you take the NREMT! When I took the NREMT I was a lot more confident in my ability to answer the questions. I passed on the first go and got cut off at 70 questions! Great app!

New Certified EMT. I just passed my NREMT Cognitive Exam. This app is a definite must-have in conjunction with an EMT class. In fact, I took a hybrid two-month EMT class for the first time and still passed my NREMT with very hard work in this app, other online materials, and the book (Emergency Care of the Sick and Injured 11th Edition). If you use this app often and practice hard, you will have a greater chance of passing your NREMT test.

Great app, minor flaws. After being out of class for months and being delayed to test. I don’t think I’ve looked at my book once. I’ve used this app consistently and learned the content. I took my NREMT Basic test today and passed at 70 questions! I give this app a lot of credit. The app bugs got very irritating at times, but after updates, the performance got a lot better. Thanks pocket prep for helping me prepare for my exam.

Passed first try. App was dope. I finished my EMT class about a month ago so I was a bit rusty with everything. I took a 25 question exam everyday on the app for a week and felt pretty confident. The full version is worth it because you see what area you’re slacking in. Passed the first try which is always good.

Crash. Can’t say how content is yet because I have yet to take NREMT but the biggest problem is I can never look at my progress because it always crashes when I do. Edit: the app still crashes I have up on trying to see my progress but continually took the test this and crash course book had me pass my fourth time when I had no hope anymore.

Repeated Questions... Makes you wonder if there are really 800.. I don’t know how many times I have answered the same questions over and over and over again in the quizzes I’ve taken in this app. I find it misleading that there are supposedly 800 questions when I’ve answered the same tired questions repeatedly. I’m currently at 400 questions answered overall and the majority are the same ones with new ones here and there.

Great but glitchy. Great study app recommend highly and has ways to help you know what to study more everything is great besides the app glitches a lot not loading current data or logs you out of app after glitching has happened to me least 2-3 times a day tried uninstalling and reinstalling but didnt help

Amazing app, until it stops working.. I used this so much to study and it was super helpful, then it stopped working. I would take a test and it wouldn’t process my score even when I would try to refresh. The app constantly freezes and I can’t scroll or tap on anything and when I would close the app and reopen it it would log me out. One time when I reopened it it set my progress back 20 questions. I loved this when I first got it and now the app doesn’t even function for me. Waste of money.

Great App! Well worth getting Premium Level. I’m learning a lot, and I don’t even start the class till next month. I will be way ahead when I start class, and it’s not just memorizing the answers. The explanations are detailed and informative so I really understand the questions, answers, and rationale. I also love being able to track my progress.

They should fix the bugs. Worth the buy. Seems like a lot of people experience bugs with this app including myself. Also some of the questions seemed to have conflicting answers with the emt class I completed a couple weeks ago. All in all I think it’s a good practice app if you’re stressing about the NREMT. Just fix the bugs please. If you’re going to keep taking peoples money then improve your product instead of using “sorry the app is misbehaving” in all of your responses.

Great content, slow and unresponsive iphone app. The content is great! I wish the iPhone app wasn’t as unresponsive, slow and didn’t crash like it does. The iPad app seems to be better to me. I have yet to take the Nremt test but am preparing for it nicely with the help of this app that’s got awesome content, I’m still learning everyday! Will do another review after taking the test with the results :)

Great study tool. It includes everything you need to know for the EMT-B exam. It is very clearly organized into the different sections that appear on the exam as well. Only issue I have is that flagged questions do no save for whatever reason. Of the 30 or so questions that I flagged going through several exams on the app, only 3 of them saved upon return to review, which is rather disappointing.

So Helpful!. This app was recommended to me by a friend when she heard I was starting EMT school. The upgrade is well worth the money. I did 20-50 questions a day leading up to the exam, and felt confident going in to the exam. After using the app, no question on the exam felt too difficult, and I passed (for anyone that may be wondering, the exam stopped at 70 questions). Definitely recommend this app.

Helpful but glitchy. The sheer volume of questions is what I liked about this app and the questions are relevant with good explanations in real time as you complete practice exams. However, it was frustrating how glitchy the app is. It frequently freezes and crashes and for $25 I expected a little better. I still think that purchasing the app will certainly assist in the passing of the NREMT, but it’s not cheap and you will constantly be forced to open and close it just to be able to take the next practice test.

Perfect EMS Study Source!. The only suggestion I’d have is that, when the app is calculating all of your exam percentages, it takes the average of all percentages and weighs then equally (it doesn’t matter if your exam was 5 questions or 100 questions). For example, if you take a 5-question exam and score 0% and if you take a 100-question exam and score 100%, your average score will be 50% (as opposed to 95%). Also, repeat questions are annoying.

AMAZING. My emt university didn’t prepare me at all for the national test and I didn’t pass my first time. I got this app after and I did over 1,000 questions and passed easily! This app can absolutely help you pass, BUT you need to do a lot of questions. There’s a lot to know and you really have to make sure you read the explanations and really put effort in. If you do, you’ll pass!

Great tool to practice!. I’ve been using this app for extra studying (besides reading the book) and it’s been great! The explanations are the best because you get to learn why your answer was either right or wrong. It also references the book in the explanations, so you can look it up in the book. I would recommend this to any EMT looking to take the national exam for EXTRA study help.

1st attempt and passed. This is a really helpful app and asked questions in a similar style to the NR. It even asked questions that the book I used in class only glossed over. I even recommended this app to my classmates who haven’t tested yet. Showed this app to my instructor and she liked it and will be recommending it to her students as an extra aid. But reading my class book and learning things from paramedics helped out.

Love it!. I downloaded this app to help study and prepare myself for exams during my EMT-B course and continued using it all the way to my national exam. I passed first try! I can’t help but thank this app for helping me study on the go wherever I am during the day. All you need is 5 minutes a day with the quick 10 questions option! And having the ability to customize your exams to focus on certain subjects is a really nice tool. Worth every penny.

Very helpful for the NREMT. This app was great for NREMT preparation! Upgraded to premium the week of my test and did all 800 questions and passed my test on the first try. The only reason this app doesn’t get 5 stars from me is the crashing issue... It crashed a lot... However, I will still very much recommend this app in prepping for your NREMT. If you read all the explanations you will definitely pass.

Pocket Prep review. This app was pretty much the tool I used 90% of the time to study, yes you should use the book to freshen up on weak areas after your EMT class but this tool was awesome and the explanations were in great detail. I passed registry at 70 questions this week!! I give this app a lot of the credit! Only downside is it does start slowing down and crashing sometimes the further you get to finishing the questions. But overall an amazing study tool.

Helped me pass on my third attempt. I passed on my third attempt and was on the verge of losing my military job because of not passing and this app help me pass! If you really wanna pass I suggest using this app and doing at least a 50 question quiz before bed or whenever you have time during the day. I probably learned more with this app than in my actual class.

Passed First time!. The course I took for the EMT class was a total joke and didn’t prepare me at all for the NREMT. I did some research online and saw awesome things about this pocket prep and I was skeptical, and I’m sure many others would be too for 20$! I put my trust in it and let me tell you, worth every penny! The explanations were super helpful and helped me assess what areas I needed to work on. I’m a BIG fan!

App needs work. Questions and content are great and definitely challenging. I got this app for its mobility so I can put in a few minutes of studying when I have a moment. But the app has a lot of issues. It takes a minute or two to connect to a next page, it’ll log me out without my knowing, there’s no “sign in” option (if there is then make it more obvious!), I cant resume my exams when I want to, and some options like the exam content won’t be visible. Like I said it has what I need, important stuff I need to study for the NatReg, but I’ve been operating this app for a while now and it gets really frustrating when I can’t just pull up the app and do what I want.

Nice app, terrible tech support. My instructor gave me a trial version of pocket prep and I was impressed enough to pay for the full version. The app worked fine for about three weeks and then a day or so ago it just stopped working and it kicked me out of the app. I tried to have my password reset tried, to login via the web interface, tried to chat; all without success. I keep getting a message they will get back to me within one day, and they never do get back with me. I do not recommend this app because of the poor Tech Support.

Very satisfied. I highly recommend this app. I used every single day to help me study and prepare for NREMT. I passed. This app is a great tool to help in the areas you are weak in. It breaks down each category and tells you your best and worst area. Buy the upgrade and get even more questions. Definitely worth it!

Highly recommend. Very useful tool in studying and passing unit tests for class. Highly highly recommend this app to anyone who struggles with test anxiety or taking test in general. Gives explanations for correct answers directly from the text book so you can go back and reread!

My Success!. After taking My EMT class for the third time I passed it! My last step was the NREMT, I passed that test also on My first time thanks to this app! I will definitely try the paramedic version if I need too. This was a great help and will definitely recommend. Worth the money for the 800 questions!

I passed!. So the strange thing about this app is that none of the questions I studied were actually on the NREMT cognitive test, yet I still aced the test (computer shut off at 78). I was completely unprepared before downloading pocket prep, studied for about 6 hours the night before the test, and walked in the testing center feeling confident and prepared.

Convenient and effective study tool. Pocket Prep helped me pass my NREMT exam on the first attempt. The quality and volume of questions is excellent. Paying for this app once versus paying a subscription for access to other prep courses is a better value in my opinion. I'm continuing to use it to keep the knowledge fresh in my mind, so that I can be a better EMT.

Buy the app!. Very good app! There are a couple hiccups they need to address in order for me to give them 5 stars. The questions are top notch, but some are contradictory and some questions you need to answer incorrectly to get it correct in the app. You can tell there were a team of people spending a time working on creating these questions. The refreshing of how many total questions you have remaining is not accurate as well as the remaining questions you have remaining in the particular subject doesn’t add up to the total remaining number.

Good way to start studying. I decided to go with the $25 full version of the app, and while I would say that there is some great content here, I would recommend just using this as a launch pad to start studying for the NREMT. Although it did help me pass on the first try, I don’t believe I would have, had I only studied from this app. Do not make this your only source of information for the exam. Good luck!

Use this. If you use this app regularly before your exam, I guarantee you will pass. This app teaches you how to read into the stupid questions the nremt test asks you and this app will show you how to beat the gotcha questions it asks all throughout the exam. If you genuinely practice with just this app and the app tells you that your scoring above 70% then you will pass the exam if you answer at least 150 questions from the app. Totally worth the investment.

Passed the Test. Every day during my boot camp and every day for the two weeks after (until my national exam) I used this app and completed 10 question quizzes whenever I found the time. I completed over 1,500 questions and as a result I passed the national exam on my first try. Highly recommend this app.

Passing Made Easy. I passed and only had to answer 75 questions. This app deserves all of the credit. I bought the full version and could not be more happy with it, even though there are a few minor glitches. From question structure, to answer explanations the crew at Pocket Prep did an outstanding job. Keep it up guys!! Ps. Maybe come out for an advanced EMT app?

Great Content- Bad App. The content is amazing. Solid questions, excellent explanations as to why and why the other answers are incorrect. However, in order for me to use the app I have to open it- answer the question of the day and then close it to reopen it to then try and take a 10question practice exam. It will usually “gather questions” and then I like to watch my batter drop significantly. Then it will tell me that “cannot find questions”. I have to close it, reopen it, take the 10 questions again and it might work.

Thanks!. so i had taken my NREMT before and no luck. i was bummed. someone reccomended this app and it made all the difference. i highly, highly encourage you to get the full 800 questions. take it slow, look at the explanations and don't burn yourself out. READ the questions carefully. my one critique keeping this from being 5 stars is the bugs and random closing of the app itself.

Failed two times while using this app.. I failed the first go around without this app, and I failed 2 more times with the purchased app ( I also used the book as well). This app will help you get basic knowledge down for EMT questions; however the NREMT does not ask the same questions that are in this app. The NREMT is not as knowledge based as the questions in this app, and it is phrased very differently. This app could be better if there was a separate section that actually tested your problem solving. I did all 800 questions on the app too. I have near passing but no luck on the past 3 tries.

Could be great, if it worked.... I first got this app several months ago and really enjoyed it. Then, I don’t know if there was a software update or what, but it turned into utter crap overnight. It constantly lags and freezes, and has started completely crashing, too. Of the hundreds of different IOS apps I’ve used, I’ve never encountered one that is so buggy. I still use it as practice for my upcoming NREMT test, but it’s rare that I can use it without it taking at least twice as long as it should to do anything.

Passed my exam. I used this app for about a month prior to the exam and studied about 10 questions a day. Got my scores back today and now I’m nationally registered! The questions were in a similar format to the NREMT. I didn’t really experience any crashing or anything like everyone else is saying.

Highly recommend this app over everything. I studied with this app throughout the day for a month. Highly recommend this app. Lots of information and good questions that are similar to the actual NREMT test. Definitely helps with question answering skills. I failed my first test horribly and the second time I attempted the test after using a nremt test prep book and this app I passed it after only answering 75 questions on the test.

Good info. The info and explanations are really helpful in growing you knowledge base and know the what and why of choices and situations. The app is very buggy however with crashes and parts of the functionality not working correctly. Exam readiness is absolutely unusable and causes the app to freeze and crash. Some questions also contradict each other with not enough info to give the most appropriate choices. It can be very frustrating when you paid for the lifetime membership

The BEST EMT study app. I took my national registry today and passed! I can’t thank this app enough! It is way worth buying all of the questions. This was the only app that I used to study and it was amazing. The questions are great and really mimic the actual NREMT questions. However, the best part of this app is the explanations with the questions. Cannot recommend this app enough!!
